I think we’re watching one of the biggest shifts in the way people make money since the internet was literally invented and for some reason, most people are acting like nothing has changed.

Maybe it’s because the change never announces itself?

It doesn’t knock on your door and tell you the rules have been rewritten. It happens quietly, almost invisibly, until one day you look around and realize the people who saw it early built completely different lives than everyone else.

I think about this all the time so let me explain…

Five years ago, I was waitressing for $11/hr.I had only my GED, more than $20k in debt, and absolutely no business experience. If you had looked at my life on paper, there was nothing remarkable about it. I wasn’t the smartest person in the room. I didn’t come from money. I didn’t have connections. I wasn’t handed an audience or a roadmap on how to do it.

What I did have was this persistent feeling that the life I was living couldn’t possibly be the only option.

It wasn’t that I hated working. I’ve never been afraid of hard work. I hated the feeling that every hour I worked was building someone else’s future while my own sat on hold, waiting for permission to begin.

Back then, I thought the answer was to find a better job.

Looking back, I realize I wasn’t looking for a better job.

I was looking for AUTONOMY

I wanted to decide what my Tuesday looked like.

I wanted to wake up and feel excited instead of relieved that it was almost Friday.

I wanted to design my life because I was starting to realize nobody else was going to do it for me.

I think that’s why I have such a hard time with the advice we’ve been giving young women for decades.

Go to school.

Get a “good job.”

Work hard.

Hope someone notices.

Ask for a raise.

Repeat.

For a long time, that really was the path. Stability mattered because opportunity was limited. If you wanted to earn more, someone else usually had to decide you were worth more.

But that’s no longer the world we live in. Today, women are learning skills on their computers like web design and raking in $10k+ months.

Women creating website templates that sell while she’s hiking with her family.

Women starting a day rate that allows her to make $3k in a single day.

Women filming videos in her spare bedroom and turns into an education business that changes thousands of lives.

These are not celebrities.

They’re ordinary women who stopped waiting to be chosen and started creating opportunity instead.

That feels like one of the biggest shifts of our generation!!

Opportunity used to be something you applied for on Linkedin but now it’s something you can build yourself!

I’d probably still be waiting for someone else to decide when I deserved more money, more freedom, more time.

That thought honestly scares me because I don’t think most women need “another productivity hack”.

I think they need to realize the game has changed.

The women who are thriving over the next decade won’t necessarily be the ones with the fanciest résumés.

They’ll be the women who understand how to create.

How to solve problems.

How to build audiences.

How to communicate.

How to design.

How to package what they know.

How to turn creativity into value.

The creative dream isn’t about becoming an artist.

It’s about refusing to believe that your only option is to trade your time for someone else’s paycheck.

I had been designing websites for about a year by 2020... I was in that sweet spot of making $15K–$20K months, but let’s be honest… It was absolute chaos.

Client projects were supposed to take 4–6 weeks but some dragged on for 3-4+ months.

Not because of me, but because clients ghosted. Delayed. Forgot passwords. Didn’t send photos. Wanted to “tweak the headline” after 6 weeks of silence (iykyk).

“I’m looking for 4 clients who need a soul-aligned website delivered in ONE day.
Offering a beta round for 50% off.
DM me VIP if interested.”

I sold every single one.
Charged $1,600 each.
And the experiment began.

What I knew for sure?

If this was gonna work, I needed to solve the 3 things that stall every project:

1. Clients not sending assets or photos

2. Website copy being “in progress”

3. Missing logins and tech info (Showit, Flodesk, Kajabi, etc)

4. Domain transfer delays

So I literally rebuilt my entire onboarding system.
I made it non-negotiable that I’d have everything I needed before Day One.

That included:

• Brand photos and as always requested, b-role videos

• Website copy (or would outsource)

• Logins for every single platform they need integration with

• Domain access

By 10am the day-of, I could roll into our branding session (which is now taught inside both Design Your Day Rate and Wealthy Web Designer) and then dive into build mode.

Was I nervous? Girl.

I was pooping my pants.

But I did it.
Then I did it again.
And again.
And again.

I was 20 years old.
A high school dropout.
Living paycheck to paycheck.
And trying to convince myself that my life didn’t have to look like this forever.

I didn’t grow up with money.
So the idea of having it?
It felt so far away. Almost… fake.

But I didn’t just want money.

I used to stare out the window from my beat-up Civic, imagining I pulled up in a white Porsche. Now? I drive a white Range Rover.

But back then? I was just a girl who wanted out.
Out of scarcity. Out of stress. Out of feeling stuck.

So what changed?

I learned how to rewire my brain.

Which is all money mindset really is.

I was raised on:

• “We can’t afford that”

• “Money doesn’t grow on trees”

So I got a little delusional.

I started spending in ways that felt abundant.
Even when it didn’t always make sense on paper.

I tipped more than 20%.
I said yes to things I couldn’t “afford” yet.

Not because I was reckless but because I wanted to act like the version of me who already had it.

And that version of me? She wasn’t cheap.
She was rich. Really f*cking rich!!!

So here’s what I actually did:

My 5-Step Manifestation Process:

1. Create the vision in your mind

I don’t meditate. I daydream.
I imagined the version of me with freedom. With wealth. With peace.
I imagined the car. The clothes. The schedule. The bank account.
I let it feel real in my body before it ever showed up in my life.

2. Put it on paper

Pinterest boards. Printed collages.
I made it visual. I gave my brain a map.
Because if you can see it, you start believing it.

3. Believe it’s yours

This is where the shift happens.
You have to believe it’s not just possible but it’s inevitable.
You have to show up like the version of you who’s already living it.
Even when no one else gets it yet.

4. Cut out the noise

That voice that tells you you’re too late.
That person who makes you feel small.
That scroll spiral that makes you forget who you are.
Mute it. Unfollow it. Block it. Protect your energy like it’s your full-time job.

5. Take aligned action

Manifestation isn’t magic. It’s momentum (and alignment).
You have to become the version of you who takes the step.
Learn the skill. Starts the business. Send the pitch. Launch the offer!!

Even when you’re shaking while doing it.
