It is an energy, a powerful force that shapes your lifepath. It hands you miracles and blessings. My mission is to unite everyone with The Universe so we can all enjoy what it has to offer. Because there are no limits.

But it only starts working for you as long as you believe, trust, and mainly: get used to The Universe letting you win in life.

If you are new to manifestation, you are probably thinking: ‘what is she babbling about?’, and I totally understand. It honestly works with whatever force you believe in or whatever religion you’re part of. The point is, you need something that makes you believe that you are protected by. I know, it is hard in the beginning, when you have no proof of you being actually guided. But once you notice the signs, the miracles (tiny or big) and get more into manifesting, you’re life will never be the same. If you’re still sceptical or hesistant to start manifesting and connecting with The Universe, read a story of mine at the end.

Subscribe now

How to befriend The Universe

Your connection with The Universe is not a friendship that blooms in a day. It needs time until trust and belief comes from both sides. I happen to be best friends with The Universe so I know what it likes and hates.

Things The Universe likes:

a positive mindset

expressive gratitude

authenticity

confidence

trust & belief

peace and detachment

Things The Universe hates:

desperation (!)

a negative mindset

anger and resentment

vanity and cockiness

insecurity

stress and anxiety

Pretty logical, but it is hard to stay optimistic and regulated all the time. It is okay to be anxious or lose the plot once in a while, but you need to keep trusting.

Not everythings works out as you envisioned it. You don’t know what you are being protected from. You maybe even would’ve hated the outcome. The Universe thinks even bigger than you do, trust me, it has great plans for you. Everything that is meant for you NEVER misses you.

Let’s say you have manifested a few things (read my article on how to manifest if you don’t know where to start). News flash: those manifestations came true because The Universe already had it planned for you. You wanted it so bad because future you already had it. You couldn’t stop thinking about it because The Universe wanted you to work hard in order for you to live the life it has planned for you. When you reverse the way manifesting works like this, it will all make sense. You will start to get used to winning. Not in a cocky way, but in a abundant way. Of course, you should keep working hard, keep showing up. But trusting that you will win again and again and again really makes you do so. Show love and gratitude back, and you will keep winning. Congratulations, you befriended The Universe!

How to not destroy your purpose

For me, manifesting isn’t a magic trick anymore. It isn’t a spiritual ritual you need to keep doing. Manifesting is like breathing. Everything you experience, is a manifestation that crystallized into reality. Not because your subconscious mind is playing around. Because it is meant to happen. Sadly, we are not immune of making the wrong choices. The Universe is only there to guide you, but in the end, you are in charge of your life. I used to be so anxious to choose the wrong path, even with the right intentions. “What if this is not the path I am meant to go on?”. That is when your gut feeling comes in. Following your heart actually means following your gut. Your gut feeling knows what is right before you’re brain starts overthinking the decision. That is the most dangerous zone. You’re gut feeling gets muted by your brains ‘logical and safe’ thinking. It feels impossible to make a decision. But there are little tricks to lean into your gut feeling again.

The coin method:

Grab a coin

Attach one outcome to heads and the other one to tails

Flip the coin

Look at the coin

Notice in the first few milliseconds how you feel, before your brain can react

If you immediatly think: ‘Let’s do best of three’ or you don’t feel particularly happy or resonated with the outcome, it isn’t the right decision. If you feel excited, get goosebumps or feel a sense of relief, it is the right decision. You can be a bit scared. But this is the path that will teach you the right lessons and will make you the happiest and most aligned with your dream life.

My little story that applies everything I just taught you

I am 18 years old and I had to choose a university to go to this year. There were two options for me: the nearby university and my dream university. I applied to both, but when I got the results, I only got into the nearby university and got waitlisted for the other. I was devastated. My ranking was way too high for me to get in, as I thought. The months went by, and the ranking didn’t move fast at all. The key part was: I detached. There was nothing I could do anymore, only to keep trusting and believing. And if I would never get in at all, which was a very valid option, it just wasn’t meant for me. Fast forward to two weeks ago. The ranking suddenly made a big jump. Only 60 people had to decline, and I would get in. When I got the last update, it only came 23 people short. My heart dropped, because it just didn’t feel right. I was so close, and I really trusted The Universe. But I quickly moved on and believed that the other university must have been the right fit. Until the next day. I got an email of my dream uni saying I got in. Less than a week before the school year, I finally got in. I was shocked and excited, but that is also when my brain started running at full speed. I lost my gut feeling from all the overthinking and talking about what I should do. I even started questioning: “Why is this even my dream university? Do I even need to go there anymore?”. I was already supposed to meet everyone on a camp from the nearby uni, and I already received my books. The steering wheel already faced to a clear direction. But I managed to get my gut feeling back by sitting in nature by myself, no noise and I actually did the coin method. You already know: I chose my dream university, even though I felt really scared and unprepared. But it felt right. And now, I feel the best I’ve ever felt.

I love The Universe.

I hope this shows you whatever is meant for you ACTUALLY NEVER MISSES YOU. Or such as music artists, setting up phone-less concerts. People seem to only be at great places just for their Insta story to look chic. And I wholeheartedly agree, we should all be more present while experiencing. But those people are performing, not documenting. We actually SHOULD be documenting more, and performing less.

So, I am not talking about the same type of documenting. Not the Instagram version. I am talking about the travel scrapbookings your kids will find in a dusty box. The photo gallery on your old Nintendo DS with 8-year-old you filming your baby brother. The journal with all your little obsessions and crafts you liked at some point in your life. Your secret dairy you used to write in. That kind of documenting is worth more than anything I can think of. Because you get to relive the old times a little and show your loved ones. But most importantly, you see how much you have grown as a person, mentally and physically.

In this article I wanted to share my favorite ways to document your life, without it being a performance :)

Subscribe now

Scrapbooking

Pro-tip: do this after travelling. Well, then I also must be too good to be true, because I am a walking proof of that they work.

The internet defines the word subliminal as:

“Existing or operating below the threshold of conscious awareness. It comes from the Latin words sub (below) and limen (threshold). A subliminal stimulus or message is hidden, flashed too quickly, or masked in sound so that your conscious mind does not notice it, but it may still affect your thoughts or behavior.”

So that’s exactly what they do. But it is not that easy. You can’t just sit down, listen and forget about it while expecting anything to happen. It is just like manifestation, action and belief is needed. If you haven’t checked out my article about how to manifest, I highly recommend reading it first before getting into subliminals.

So, if you have your manifestation toolbox ready, I will walk you through the exact subliminal listening routine I do. You find a subliminal maker you trust (could be me 😉), find a subliminal with a benefit you desire and start listening. Enjoy the music or soundtrack and visualize the manifestation coming through. Just like I said in my manifestation article, you have to FEEL how it would feel when you attain what you desire. Get detailed, be specific. And if you really want to be fancy, write down fitting affirmations in your notebook. Write down what you will achieve soon. Write and think like it’s already yours. After listening, detach from the outcome. Desperation is never the answer. But still work for your dreams of course, while enjoying the journey!

Subscribe now

Look, all subliminals do is get you in the right state of mind. They make your subconscious mind operate from a state of confidence, belief and positivity. I am not a believer of changing your eye color or attaining superpowers, that’s not what subliminals can do. People don’t believe in sublinimals because they think it is magic, like it is a fairytale. Those are the people that don’t get the results. You simply need to look at them as a tool to help you with manifesting. Getting you motivated, inspired and excited for your upcoming manifestations. It’s nothing more than that.

Now, if you’re really getting into subliminals, you can make your own. Then you wait for a bit and it comes back.

Food noise and body image struggles are very common and normal, especially for women. Social media overworks and rewires our brain with unhealthy or unrealistic body types. Even unconsciously, we start to strive for a different body. We start to overthink every bite we take and compensate our sweet treats with raging stairmaster sessions.

I know it feels like a never ending battle with yourself and society. It never seems enough. Logical, as humans are wired to never be satisfied and always want more, better, different.

But I know a way to still strive for improvement or enhancement while loving your body. And of course, I still have the hard days, but this is a wake up call for you, and even me when I feel like reading this, to see this issue in a very different light.

Subscribe now

Trust me when I say this, the days when you feel the most insecure, or you seem to think that all your progress is gone….

Look at the calendar babe. You’re probably in your lutheal phase. Or you are in a lower mental place and have just been going through it, and that’s okay. But I want you to know that out brain really morphs and ‘photoshops’ our bodies based on their hormonal or mental state. That is why one week you are feeling yourself and the other you aren’t. But our bodies can’t change so much in a week. So be kind to it, and start thinking: ‘I am in my lutheal phase/have been feeling low, so I haven’t been feeling myself today, but it will pass, it’s my brain, not my body. At least for me, it feels better to blame my brain instead of my body, because if I manage to feed my brain with healthy content, develop a better mindset and when I am aware of its ups and downs, it starts to feel like a normal feeling that will pass eventually. That way I know there is nothing wrong with my body and therefore I can love it a little more.

<a class="image-link image2" target="_blank" it?’

Let’s say you want to be skinnier and have killer abs. You start to work towards your goal. You used to love eating out with your girlfriends, but you stop going because you believe it ruins your progress. You start hyper-fixating on it, hustling, planning your whole day around your apparent ‘dream body’. It consumes you, you hate it, but the results make you keep going. Nevertheless, they are never enough. The ab lines need to be more defined, arms need to be more toned, glutes need to be bigger.

But look at how you feel, operate and how you treat food while maintaining this body. It feels like torture. A dream body should be based on how it feels, not how it looks. And I know that’s easier said than done, because society lays the importance on the outside appearance. Trust me, body tea doesn’t mean the skinniest waistline, it means to enjoy your food, treating yourself once in a while, doing a type of exercise you absolutely love and feeling full of energy. THAT is body tea. Strive for health, longevity and living carefree and joyous instead of the aesthetics. Because if you really think about it, your eighty-year-old self will thank you the most for that. She couldn’t care less about where your waist is.

So start living for yourself, start moving and nourishing your body because you love it, not because you hate it. You deserve it <3

With love,

June

8 weird habits that make me feel baddie-chic

I am tired of all the glow up guides and habit tips that all tell you the same things.

june's it girl thoughts

I am tired of all the glow up guides and habit tips that all tell you the same things. Not only are they unnecessary, they are also boring. This compilation does not include drinking 3L of water or going on a walk. People often consider me as someone with peculiar habits, but that’s what makes it fun for me. Because these habits are genuinely weird, but they work. Maybe you have heard of some of them. Some are weirder than the other, however, they make me feel fancy. (Disclaimer: I am not a professional, I have done my research but this article is meant for fun and small education)

1. Brushing my teeth on one leg

Yes, I turn into a flamingo when I brush my teeth. I have been doing this as a kid for the sake of an injury, but I’ve never stopped doing it. It has massively improved my balance and stability, it strengthens my core and my ankles, knees and hips. What I like about this the most is that it is a form of habit stacking. I can do two things at once that benefit me, and I love that.

2. Chewing on a clove

You may have to get used to this one, but it has done wonders for me. When I experienced pain in my tooth and I thought I was getting a cavity, my father told me to chew on a clove. I thought he was joking but I decided to give it a try for a few days. I was absolutely flabbergasted by the results. The pain completely disappeared after a few days. And I discovered even more significant health benefits, which is mostly due to the compound eugenol. It reduces bad breath, bloating and other stomach problems. It’s good for blood sugar management. It makes you fall asleep better if you take it in the evening, which I always do. I also read it helps with bone and joint health. However it is important to note that you shouldn’t overconsume cloves, once a day is enough.

3. Taking a cold shower every morning

I could not recommend this one more. People call me a psychopath for doing it, but it is so worth it. You may already know the benefits because it is a bit more mainstream, but barely no one actually sticks with it as an actual habit, especially in the winter time. However, that’s the most crucial time to keep going. It builds your stamina and your confidence, and the health benefits are endless. I can’t live without it now, I feel finally awake and ready for the day after my cold rinse. Because that’s what I do, I shower normally first and at the end I turn the temperature to ice cold and I rinse off in that. You don’t have to do a whole cold shower, a rinse will make the habit more realistic and sustainable.

4. Eating 3 Brazil nuts a day

Brazil nuts provide a decent dose of selenium. It helps to regulate your metabolism, it is full of antioxidants and boosts your immune system. Also your brain benefits from it: it is known for boosting cognitive function and mental focus. Lastly, your hair and skin will thank you. The reason you can 3 nuts a day max. is that eating too many will give you an overdose of the selenium.

5. Putting my legs up against the wall

It looks kind of weird, but this pose is extremely relaxing and beneficial. It is good for blood circulation and it always makes me feel less bloated and more snatched. It allows me a pause in the day, I do breath work combined with it. The relaxation stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, which makes you feel rested and it also helps with digestion and sleep. I just love how peaceful this habit is.

Subscribe

6. Drinking Oolong tea

Oolong tea is very underrated, however the benefits are numerous. It is a Chinese tea, and it basically lies between green tea and black tea in terms of oxidation, which makes it the most healthy tea out of the three. I will list the benefits, because there are so many:

- Bone and teeth health

- Full of antioxidants

- Gives your skin a boost

- Diabetes prevention

- Mental focus and alertness

- Improves cardiovascular health

- Aids with fat burn and improved metabolism

And it also tastes nice, in my opinion :)

7. Spamming micro-movements through the day

Well, I may look like a sim character when I start doing pushups in the middle of my living room, but incorporating mini workouts through the day makes you feel and look so fit and energetic. We sit way too much and doing things like this make 3 hour gym sessions at the end of the day unnecessary. Of course, the main workouts are important, but it is also important what you’re doing in between them. When I am bored, I just do a few pull-ups or knee raises. And it can be as simple as you want it to be. Do 10 squats when your water is boiling. Do a 1 minute plank when your are waiting for you food to be ready in the microwave. I promise that overtime with it being a habit, you will be addicted and swearing by it.

8. Eating raw carrots as your favorite snack

I might be a little addicted to carrots. But I am proud of that addiction. And surprisingly, it has given me an insane tan. It has come to a point where people ask me if I got a self-tan, and when I say I don’t, they don’t believe me because I’m just so tan. And I didn’t use to be. In my opinion, a tan changes how you look and feel so much, it gives you confidence. So, if you want your tan to last even in winter, I would start eating carrots as a snack daily. Your hand palms may also get a little orange-y, but overall it gives you a nice color. I personally eat 2-3 carrots a day, and it also prevents me from snacking unhealthy foods and it keeps me full. It also contains a lot of fiber and Vitamin A, making it a very healthy and yummy snack.

I hope you enjoyed reading through them all and I hope that you picked a new habit up from this article! They might be a little weird, but they make me absolutely baddie-chic.

With love,

June

<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" happens to me day to day, not being actually here. It happens to a lot of us. We zone out, we daydream, we get distracted. But when they ask what I am thinking of, I can’t even recall.

I have never thought much about being zoned out, until it hit me that I miss out on a lot of things, simply because I’m not living in the present enough. And that kills me.

I bike past people I know without even seeing them, I don’t notice it when someone does a little act of service for me, or way too late, I zone out during conversations, while I actually care about what the person is saying. ‘But I already told you about that...’. It breaks my heart hearing this. I forget the details of a memory that is dear to me that others remember clearly. I wanted to make an end to this.

Thanks for reading! Subscribe for free to receive new posts and support my work.

So, I started doing research and it turns out that there is reasoning behind this behavior. Zoning out is a way our brains create a mental break, where our brain switches to autopilot due to stress, high cognitive load, and fatigue. There it is, another symptom that stress is the cause of. Nice.

Now, I can see how big the impact is. Normally, I don’t notice when I am overstressed until I get sick or I over-push myself too much. It turns out that our brains already produce a mental escape for us, without us even being aware of it. If I look at it this way, I feel sorry for my brain. A lot.

I used to like living in my own world, in my own bubble. Even though I didn’t know what I was actually doing there. I romanticized being the dreamy girl, but seeing it from a different light, it isn’t as whimsical as I thought. Now I know it is because my brain needs rest. So, for the sake of my memory of things that are dear to me and my presence, I quit being a daydreamer. At least, an extreme one. I think we all underestimate the part stress plays in our lives, but I have seen more than enough signs. I will find other ways to relax my brain, and I think if you’re a fellow extreme daydreamer, you should too.

However, it can also be a good thing. Letting my mind wander and sitting with my thoughts boosts my creativity and my understanding of myself. But there is a difference between silly pondering and disassociating. Because with the lather, you’re not even aware of what you’re thinking about, and it distracts you from what really matters. I want to remember the small details, I want to notice people’s efforts, and I want to remember every moment like a video in my head. Therefore, I will save my daily daydreaming for my alone time and finally practice real presence in my life.

I quit being on autopilot. Because what am I, a machine? A pre-programmed software that isn’t supposed to feel, or notice? I am here to experience. To interact and to be present. So, I will fight what keeps me from doing exactly that.

With love,

June

<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" I am living the it-girl life, supposedly. This is everything little me dreamed of achieving 5 years ago. But little does she know I am the most unstable, miserable and particularly the most fucking lonely I’ve ever felt. But at the same time…. I am functioning…? I am operating….? Because my habits are absolutely on fleek. But there is one thing that I lost on the roadway to bettering myself: a social life.

Thanks for reading! But a lot of times, I don’t resonate with anyone. Because I’m not in the Snapchat group anymore. I haven’t seen that new TikTok trend, or I haven’t viewed my best friends Instagram story. I haven’t been keeping up with the latest news or gossip. And the truth is, I don’t care about those things anymore, that’s why I don’t interact with any of it. I wonder if it is possible: a life without social media, but still being social. I want to have deep talks, real connections and spontaneous plans. However, living in social media is never out of the question in my social circle. Sadly, this only widens the ravine between me and my friends understanding of each other. Without social media, you are almost doomed to be anti-social. Maybe it is called social media for a reason.

It hurts so much to be an extrovert but to be sitting in a room with so much people, yet no one I can relate to. It feels like we are all inside a radio but I am the one operating at a different wavelength. I feel like an alien looking down at their planet. But to adapt again, to be someone I am not, lowering my vibrations, talking about things I don’t want to… will that make me happier than I am now? Probably not. So here I am, spending my days sitting around, staring into the void, making me seem even more unavailable.

So what I do is I romanticize it, I stay resilient. Because what the fuck else am I supposed to do? I blast rap in my ears on my gym session, trying to channel my inner bitch again. I buy myself flowers, I focus on my healthy diet and I go on solo-walks 3 times a day. On paper, this seems like the remedy. Everyone tells you to focus on yourself and do these things as a single woman. But humans are meant to connect, we are basically herd animals. I feel like I’ve made myself unrecognizable for the herd. I can only manage to force small talk with someone, but I fucking hate small talk. They say that not everyone will be your kind of people, but then where are my kind of people? There were a few times I thought I found my people, because I do have good friends. But the more I work on myself, the more I feel like I am distancing myself. What no one talks about is the stress and hurt that comes with self-improvement, which is the biggest factor that makes me the most incomprehensible. No one understands the struggles I am facing, because ironically, I’ve built this bubble myself. The mindset, the habits, the sacrifices. I can’t even describe it, because I never talk about my feelings anymore. All because I’m inside the bubble I made myself, that I have wanted for so long.

Anyway, I know it will make me stronger. I have built the most intimate relationship with myself and my values that will last for life. So I will do anything but switch to the wavelength of the herd. I will walk countercurrent and on the way, I hope to find a herd that does recognize me and makes me join them :) This is your reminder: if you don’t fit in, you’re probably doing something right.

With love,

June

I quit hustle culture.

Because I am meant for more than a nine to five

june's it girl thoughts

The beauty of the sparkles in the ocean, the golden sunlight beaming through the trees, the birds chirping in the forest and the flowers blooming in the meadow. What happened to doing things just because it made you happy, instead of doing things that are expected from you? What happened to the real human experience? It feels so wrong to me that I am only meant to relax and experience on vacation. Why do I need to put up with a disgustingly amount of stress for most of the days, in order to earn my break? Why do I have to put my body through such strain in order to make it in this life?

<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" target="_blank" It has come to a point that rest feels unproductive, it feels like we’re being lazy. As a result, we never truly rest anymore, because during the ‘rest’, we were constantly thinking about the next step anyways. Being in the present is a skill that has become rare and something that we always have to re-learn. I don’t want to feel guilty for going outside or doing my ‘unproductive’ hobbies instead of fighting through the never ending workload that’s yet to be completed. They say balance is key, but we are on a tightrope that only lets us think about not falling. There is no space left for thinking about actually living. Now, all that’s in my mind is whether I will get into the university that will get me the paper I don’t even care about. Of course, I am eager to learn and to build a life that I am proud of, but not at the expense of my mental health. Not at the expense of my sanity. Not at the expense of the things that make me happy. I want my soul back.

I refuse to let stress affect my health even more. It mentally and physically consumes me. I hate how this system is wired. Not because I am lazy or stubborn, not because I don’t have trust in myself to achieve success and wealth. But because it distract everyone from what really matters. Now, the need of making money ruins genuine creations, because it is designed to grow your income, not to feed your soul and to connect with others.
<div And the sad thing is, the only way to do this, is by being financially stable enough to have the privilege to make time for those things. I desire sincerity, creativity, a soft life, and immaterialism. It used to exist, maybe it still does. When humans only cared about experiencing. It seems like it’s all gone, but I still chase the lingering ray of light, the real feeling of life. Because if it existed once, I can make it exist again. With pleasure, I would totally tear down this fuckass system. However, as an individual, it’s not that realistic. So, I decided to let go. To make rest even more productive than work. To create without expecting something back. To pour myself a cup of tea and sit in the sun, remembering life can be lovely. To not care about the outcome, because what matters is right now. The people I love, the activities that feed my soul and the beautiful life on earth. I want to laugh until my belly hurts, without the thought of uncompleted tasks haunting my mind. Everything that happens is meant to happen anyway, so why not stop worrying about it?

The combat between me and stress, hustle culture and desperation ends here. I will dictate my own life. Of course, I will still level up and get that damn degree, but I quit putting it on a pedestal. I will heal from the hustle culture disease, and I hope you will too. Everything is a win, when the goal is to experience. I was put on this earth because I am meant to experience. Because why else is this world so beautiful?

With love,

June

<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" target="_blank" I am sure it will be fine, but what do you mean this was the end of my childhood? What do you mean this is the only one I get?

I always wish I enjoyed being a child more. Not having responsibilities, only worrying about how your Lego tower won’t fall over and playing outside all day. I am sad that I don’t remember a lot of it, only small pieces. But knowing I had a peaceful childhood gives me so much joy and resilience. But still I long to go back. The nostalgia is slowly killing me.

Thanks for reading! I believe that humans are the happiest and kindest when they tap into their inner child. I foster a return to innocence, trust and present-moment awareness. I want to keep the childlike wonder inside of me. I want to stay in a state of enlightenment and authenticity and let go of fear and stress. Enlightenment has the highest vibration on the emotional frequency scale, and links closely to embracing your inner child. Hence, acting like you would as a child gives you the highest frequency possible, making your life 10 times more joyous, basically.

<picture><img src="/__u/substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!KEXJ!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fb127c7db-00e9-405c-aaef-40a1c32b07b4_380x570.png" width="380" height="570" data-attrs="{"src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/b127c7db-00e9-405c-aaef-40a1c32b07b4_380x570.png","srcNoWatermark":null,"fullscreen":null,"imageSize":null,"height":570,"width":380,"resizeWidth":null,"bytes":null,"alt":"Frequency of Emotions: How to Raise Your Vibration - Splankna & It’s not much of a coincidence, because in fact, I had the least shame when I was little. And today, I managed to regain that state of being. I show up authentically, I have little obsessions, my reactions are overly exuberant and I honestly act really weird sometimes. Some may call it childish, some may call it immature of shameless, but at least I feel freaking great and whimsical. It’s fun to be silly.

Embrace the randomness. Lay on the floor when you feel like it. Jump and dance around like no one is watching. Re-watch the tv-series and play the video games you used to love as a kid. Become obsessed with the character you used to love back then (I certainly don’t have 10 Yoshi plushies and items laying in my room right now...). Eat your comfort food, wear what you want to wear. And honestly, touch some grass. Play outside, go to the freaking playground, I don’t care. Be bored, sit with your thoughts for some time. Show up creatively, start little crafts, start a random project. Just give in to your intrusive thoughts, that is your inner child speaking to you.

<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" target="_blank" Basically, this method is very simple. You have to think: ‘This is going to happen’, and whatever you wanted to happen, it would automatically happen. I was young at that time, and I found it a weird method, because it would be weird to being able to control what happens next. My family and I used The Secret when we wanted to see certain animals on vacation, but I thought it was very unlikely that we would find them. For example, we were hiking a mountain, and the view of the deep blue sea was beautiful. We really wanted to see dolphins. Strangely, we saw dolphins jumping in the sea, just like my mom said we were going to. This went on and on, some moments bigger or smaller than the other. Since that vacation I started being involved with manifestation more and more, and in that journey, I had to learn A LOT, and even now, there is so much I don’t know or understand yet. But what I know, is that connecting spiritually with your soul, the Universe, or whatever you believe in, is an extremely powerful phenomenon. Read my personal favorite manifestation that shocked me the most at the end!

The power of assuming, trusting and feeling

What a lot of people misunderstand, is that manifesting is difficult, and is only meant for spiritual, capable and lucky people. That is completely untrue, manifestation is meant for everyone, and everyone is manifesting things every single day, subconsciously. However, I completely understand where this misconception is coming from. When I started researching on manifestation, there were a lot of videos on ‘the best manifestation method’, like the 3-6-9-method, vision boards, affirmations, the law of assumption, the law of attractions, and much more. I was overwhelmed by all these ways to manifest, because I still didn’t know what worked the best. Then, I decided to just let go, and believe, just like ‘The Secret’, the method my mom introduced me to. That’s when the magic started to happen. I started manifesting grades, and I would receive whatever grade is was manifesting. Sometimes it would be a few tenths more or less, but by assuming I manifested that grade, I would feel so spiritually powerful. That’s when I started to believe that manifesting is easy, and everyone could do it. Here’s how I did it.

Thanks for reading June's Substack! Because if you don’t believe in it, how could you even expect to it happening? When you are in a negative state of mind, the Universe can feel that. You receive what you put out, so saying negative affirmations is very dangerous, because it actually manifests. Of course, if you say the day before an exam: ‘I am going to fail’, you are going to fail, because you start acting in a way you would fail, and you have no sense of trust in yourself or the process. So, by using the law of assumption, and starting to believe and trust, by saying: ‘I am going to nail this exam’, you start acting like you will succeed, and you are much more likely to do so. But the most important thing when you manifest, is feeling. You say the positive affirmation, you believe it, but you don’t feel it. That’s were people fail to manifest what they want, and I did too. You have to take a moment, close your eyes, and visualize the outcome you want. You have to feel how it would feel, when this outcome would come true. For example, let’s say you are manifesting your dream car. Visualize how you get in, and the feeling of satisfaction or proudness, imagine how the car smells. Feel how comfortable the chairs are, feel how excited you are when you start the engine. Every feeling is important, feel everything. Then open your eyes, and trust. You have manifested your desire, and the universe will do the rest. So the only thing that is left for you is being patient and keep believing. I have failed to manifest a lot of things, because either I wasn’t feeling, trusting or assuming, and these three things really need to be in your manifestation-toolbox at the same time.

Combining manifestation with action

Sadly, by just manifesting and believing, you can’t just sit on the couch and wait. You actually need to get off your arse and do the job. Your dream car won’t drive itself to your house, and your dream partner won’t break in your house and find you. You have to put yourself out there, and work hard for your dreams, because the Universe rewards that by blessing you even more. You have to get obsessed with your future, and the things you are manifesting. Obsession beats everything, even talent. The universe can see how much you want something. You may have got the talent, but are you obsessed? There are a lot of things I have manifested over the years, career-wise, appearance-wise, sports-wise, experience-wise, but I only got the things I was obsessed with and worked hard for. So, before you go manifest a lot of things, narrow it down, and think before you actually manifest it. Are you obsessed with this thing? Are you actually going to take action after you manifest it? If the answer is no, you don’t want it bad enough. You should rather focus on the things you really want and actually want to work for. Because the other things are distracting and background noise, and that’s not what you want while achieving success. Limit the things you focus on, so that the things you focus on become so good, that the rest will play out on its own.

Striking a balance between being realistic and delusional

You know how they say delusion is the solution, and I think that is true, partly. When you apply chapter 1, with assumption, belief and trust, you actually have to be a bit delusional, at first. When you are more familiar with manifesting, you start seeing that you are not delusional, but you actually have the power to create and achieve what you want. So delusion in the first stadium of manifesting is actually helpful. However, it can also completely destroy your chance of becoming a good manifestor. That’s because you have to be realistic, and not set too high standards for yourself. You can’t become a millionaire overnight. I am not saying you can never become a millionaire, actually, be delusional and believe you CAN become a millionaire. What I am saying is that your timeline needs to be realistic, and for the rest, you can be delusional, and trusting. You have to break your big manifestations down in smaller manifestations. For instance, your big goal is becoming a millionaire. Your smaller goal is getting started with setting up your own business. Then your next goal is maybe hitting 10k. And then 50k, then 100k, and so on. Celebrate every single milestone, even it is seems small. Let the Universe know that you are acknowledging these achievements, and that you will keep on working to hit your next goal, with patience. In the meantime, enjoy where you are, good things take time. The Universe rewards that kind of behavior immensely, take that from me. So, delusion is the solution, but be realistic with your timeline, and break those goals down.

Dealing with setback

Sometimes, what you’re asking for will not crystallize into the form you were imagining or hoping. After manfesting a lot of things succesfully, I still found it unexplainable when something didn’t work out like I really wanted it.

But the thing is, you don’t know what the Universe is protecting you from. One notion that really gets me going everyday is believing that everything happens for a reason. There is so much peace in knowing that whatever is meant for you, won’t miss you. Of course, when something upsets you, you don’t have to hide your disappointment. Express yourself, even cry if you need to. But know that no matter the outcome, you are on the right path, the Universe is always guiding you. A smooth sea never made an experienced sailor. Sometimes you will find out the reason why something didn’t work out, sometimes you won’t. And that’s okay, as long as you keep believing and showing up everyday. We can’t always choose the music that life plays for us, but we can choose how we dance to it.

My personal favorite manifestion

I am a victim of making a vision board every year. Whether it does the magic or not, I find it motivational to look at every day and it is fun too make too.

Last year, I was longing for SZA’s comeback with new music. She is my favorite artist and my biggest dream was to see her life. However, her last album was released in 2022, and she had been inactive since, after her tour. When I was creating my vision board, I was determined to go to her concert. I decided that that was what’s going to happen, regardless of that she had been inactive for 2 years. I placed a picture of 4 hands holding 4 concert tickets with SZA on it. I felt a bit uneasy because it was so unlikely, but still I decided that it was my destiny. Almost like the Universe whispered it in my ear.

Then on February 9th, her deluxe album was released, and I was in heaven. Not much later, she announced she was going on tour with Kendrick Lamar, also an artist I adore. I felt my manifestation coming into reality. After going through war in the presale, I had my hands on 4, yes 4, tickets to their tour. I was ecstatic at this point.

To top it off, on July 13th, the day of the concert, I already felt like my dream came through. It only got better, when me and my 3 friends walked in and received the tangible version of the ticket. I lighted up, screaming: ‘THIS WAS ON MY VISION BOARD!!!’. We took the exact same picture I had on my vision board. To this day, I still thank the Universe for this miracle. That is the last step: gratitude. Practice gratitude every day, talk to the Universe, about appreciating the small and big things.

<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" But it really is that damn phone.

Subscribe now

Because what are you really ‘staying up to date’ for? It is all nonsense, if you zoom out a little bit and look at what you are consuming. That important Snapchat streak of 600 days with that one guy you never really talk to in real life? That is just a number with a fire symbol next to it. That endless scrolling on TikTok, saying ‘just one more scroll, maybe I’ll find another video I totally relate to’. Well, the only thing you are left to find is rock bottom if you keep going. The short-form content is frying your brain. Stalking random people you don’t actually need to be caring about on Instagram, it is all purposeless. No one is telling you to stay engaged with all this useless content. Real connections and experiences are the most important, and the people who really care about you will connect with you even if you delete your social media. See it as a test for your social circle. Mine has improved a lot ever since.

Think about it, we were given one life. And if your screentime is 4 hours a day or even more, you are wasting a minimum of 10 years of your life. And on what? Nonsense. In that time, you could have built real relationships, started your own business and found success and traveled the whole world.

You have to learn how to turn your fomo into jomo: joy of missing out. And in reality, you aren’t even missing out, you are doing the real stuff, and others are wasting their time. You are the one that got away. Now, I am just so excited when I miss out on something, it’s almost hilarious.

Another side effect of not having no social media: everything becomes so stupid. Because now you know it is to REALLY live, in the present, without a fried brain. But the problem is, everyone around you is still glued on their screen, caring about stuff like how their reposts look to their situationship. You really start to pity them, knowing what it’s like to be free, to be filled with real dopamine.

The only problem for me now is: I pivoted, and now I am addicted to Substack and Pinterest…. Oops

But in my opinion, that’s not hypocritical, it’s just finding the media that really resonates with you, not consuming short-form content and creating and consuming the content that enables you to grow as a person!

So, delete the stuff that keeps you stuck, and shift your attention to what really matters.

Break the pattern today, or the loop will repeat tomorrow.

With love,

June

Thanks for reading June's Substack! Here’s the thing: nowadays, there is so much happening in the world. War, scandals, climate disasters, political crises and what else (I wouldn’t even know ;))? The problem is, everyone is invested and talking about it on every app possible. We are constantly bombed with negative messages, because if there is something positive, it rarely makes the newspaper. There must always be something going on, and we like to stay informed. And that is not our fault: our brains are wired to focus on negative information. This is called the negativity bias. This is because this way, we stay in survival mode, activating stress-hormones and fearful emotions.

So, there is not much we can do, as we were programmed this way, right? Might as well go on reading about all the disasters that are currently happening.

Wrong. Reading the news is the reason why your cortisol levels are as high as they are, it makes you anxious and makes you even more sensitive for negative things happening in your own life, as everything you consume manifests. What you focus on, grows.

Thanks for reading June’s it girl thoughts! Yes, our brains are programmed to be addicted to negativity, sadly. But we can REPROGRAM our mind. And this starts by deleting your news app, unsubscribing to the daily newspaper, or whatever you have to do to avoid consuming all the crap. It might feel wrong or scary to not know, but trust me, it will pay off soon.

The issue is: the average person will not do this. They have probably already clicked away, with their short attention span and pessimistic state of mind, saying it’s nonsense. But that is not you. You can get ahead. People in my close circle call me crazy for not being ‘up-to-date’, but since when were we some type of software that has to be? I find peace in not knowing. Plus, I am not afraid, because what I’m meant to know will find me. The most important information will pass to me anyways, as my family or friends will tell me the must-know stuff.

Don’t get me wrong, I have rewired my brain, but sometimes, a few wires loosen a bit. I might be watching an educational YouTube video, but when a catastrophic incident or an interesting rumor about a topic I’m interested in pops up on my feed, my brain instantly wants to know what happened. This is the real trap, and I try not to fall for it, unless it’s informative or positive. Because obviously, there is so much more out on the internet than all the negative news, you just have to look for the positive content and articles, just like this one. It really is a skill you need to practice: look for the positive. And it may seem so obvious, or it seems like it’s ‘pretentious’ or ‘fake’. And it may feel like that at first, as you are breaking the habit. But after a while, it becomes natural, and there you have it: a positively wired brain, that can operate optimistically to create your happy dream life.

People might say that I am being oblivious, delusional and living under a rock. But little do they know I have created my own bubble to live in, the abundance bubble, while they are in their scarcity bubble, living in fear and stress, and they don’t even realize. The benefits are endless: my mood is always at its best, while others are grumpy. I look for the positive, while others are small-minded and pessimistic. Well, I think I know what bubble to be in, even if people are judging me for not knowing.

So, let me know when you try it, and I will see you in the abundance bubble, where we can get ahead of everyone!

Don’t poison yourself <3

With love,

June

Thanks for reading June's Substack!
