“That makes sense, but I feel sad.”

And honestly?

Same.

It makes sense, but I feel sad… too!!

I was telling one of my clients why this next FIGURE6 would be the final live round when she said it.

And there it was.

The sentence underneath every sensible business decision I’ve had to make since deciding to become a serious writer.

It makes sense.

But I feel sad.

No one talks about the decisions you have to make in your business when you decide to take your writing seriously.

They talk about finding the time to write.

Waking up earlier. Blocking out the mornings. Going to the writing cave. Turning off your phone. Developing discipline. Devotion to the page.

They talk about the blank page, writer’s block, self-doubt and the vulnerability of putting your deepest thoughts into words and sending them out into the world.

But they don’t talk about what you have to stop doing so the writing can become the work.

The offers you have to end.

The offers you can no longer keep launching.

The sales cycles you have to remove from your calendar.

The parts of your business you love and are exceptionally good at, that still have to go.

Nobody tells you that becoming a serious writer may require you to dismantle a perfectly good business model.

Not because it stopped working. Because the work itself works, but the launching and selling of it will consume every ounce of energy you intended to give to the books.

The Greatest Risk to the Writing

The greatest threat to my writing was never writer’s block.

I know how to outwit resistance.

I became the Creative Nymph to do exactly that.

Jumping from writing to speaking to filming to creating. Scattering ideas across the internet, following the sparks, making essays out of a hundred post-it-note posts and books out of the body of work gathering underneath them.

The more I create, the more I create.

I do not want to disappear into a writing cave. I do not want to make less. I want to write the books while making more good work than ever before.

The greatest threat to my writing is how much energy it takes to stop creating and start selling what I created.

I can get on a call with a client and coach.

They bring me the ideas, dreams, offers, content and half-built things circling around in their heads, and I find the golden thread running through all of it.

I map the moves.

They leave knowing exactly what to do next.

Today, during birthday week, a week I usually take off live calls, one FIGURE6 mastermind session had snuck through the cracks in my calendar.

It was already there, so I did it.

And it was so good there were tears.

Afterward Rose said:

“BEST CALL EVER. I feel like I say this after every call—but I really do believe it every time. I know exactly what my next steps are. I have the whole thing mapped out, and it feels so good.”

THAT is the magic of FIGURE6.

It is also the problem.

Mid-call, I almost changed my mind about ending it.

Why would I stop doing something I love?

Why would I stop doing something my clients love?

Why would I close an offer that works?

Why wouldn’t I just keep it?

I have spent a lifetime proving how much I can juggle.

Juggling is my schtick.

And that is the situation.

The question is not whether I can keep doing it.

The question is whether keeping it lets me write as much as I want to write… or not.

The Difference Between Creating and Selling

For years, I thought the choice was between writing and running the business.

Disappear into the writer’s cave and let the business go quiet, or stay visible and sacrifice the books.

I tried disappearing.

The cost of the cave was cash flow, creativity and confidence.

Then I found another way.

The Delight of Being a Creative Nymph

Instead of disappearing from the internet to write, the internet became part of the writing. I wrote in public. I scattered the ideas. I made trial reels and stream-of-consciousness captions. I riffed in live rooms. I watched what came alive, gathered the fragments and synthesised them into substance.

My content was not taking me away from the books. It was becoming the books.

The live conversations were not necessarily taking me away from the books either. They were field work. The places I could hear the language, test the method and find the connective tissue.

Creating energises me.

Writing energises me.

Being in the field with clients energises me.

Launching live doesn’t feel good anymore

I could make it cuter and sound more evolved.

I do not need to protect the books from my creativity. I need to protect my creativity from a business model that constantly requires me to interrupt the making of the work to explain, position, persuade and sell it.

You cannot calendar-colour-code your way out of a business model that requires a fresh launch every time it needs to make money.

At some point, you have to stop asking how to fit the writing around the selling and start asking what kind of business allows the work to sell without repeatedly dragging you out of the work.

The Business Model of a Creative Writer

Super low and super high.

Books and FIGURE7.

Easy yeses at the low end. Deep yeses at the high end.

Nothing in the middle requiring me to spend my days manufacturing yeses.

Because the middle needs explanation.

It needs objection handling.

It needs sales content.

It needs a launch.

It needs me to keep leaving my Creatormind and climbing into my sales mind.

That…

I just don’t want to do anymore.

I can.

But I don’t want to.

And in MEBRAND fashion.

I don’t have to do what I don’t want to do.

I want the people who find the work, recognise themselves in it and sign up without needing to be sold to.

Isn’t that the dream.

And I’m grateful I have the luxury to do that now.

I want to make work so good, so specific and so unmistakably mine that it does the pre-selling for me.

Not because I am unwilling to work.

Because I know what kind of work creates fulfilment for me.

That is the business model of the Creative Writer.

Not a writer who disappears from the internet to protect the books.

A writer whose books, essays, ideas, content, classes and conversations become one living body of work that sells without constantly being stopped to be sold.

The Cost of Becoming Her

There is a real risk in choosing work that might take years to pay you over work that can pay you this afternoon.

A book does not reward you at the speed of a launch. An essay may take you a week to to write and take months to take off…

The sales cycles of books is a lot of front loading effort, but it’s effort that lives on forever, versus a quickie launch that’s been and gone.

You give the work your time and it lives on forever.

The metamorphosis of looking in the mirror of social media and seeing who you are and wondering if you like her or not.

It’s when you get on a call with a client and it comes channelling out of you. But then you go to write on the internet and you’re blank. So you ask Claude and Chat what they think and spend more time than you’re willing to admit, arguing with them…

“Make it sound like me”

But no matter how many prompts you prompt, the output is always the same. “Make it sound like me” never quite sounds like you.

Or when you spend months perfecting your messaging and you become nothing but a placeholder for a message that’s been manipulated within an inch of its life.

Making yourself, in the mirror of social media, barely recognisable to you. Who even are you anymore? And then..

and so you outgrow yourself... again.

Through hormones. Perimenopause, Postpartum. Whatever hormonal cocktail has been cooked up for you and your life stage.

You have a choice. Show up as you always have, with who you’ve always been. Or do I let my personal brand stay up to speed with the reconstruction of my inside outs and the changes that follow a woman as she moves through life?

The whole point of a personal brand, is to let it stay up to speed with who you are now.

Not let it be stuck with who you’ve been or who you wished you were.

That’s personal branding: constantly clocking when you’re not being yourself.

persona brand or personal brand?

A persona brand asks who do I need to be for them to like me. A personal brand asks who am I, and how do I express that accurately.

A personal brand was never meant to be a performance. A personal brand was never meant to be about them, it’s about you, that’s the whole point. A personal brand magnetises from the inside out. A personal brand does not chase outwardly by trying to be something someone will like. It just is, it’s just you. Being yourself does all the legwork you want your personal brand to do.

Your personal preferences. Your personal likes and dislikes. Your personal opinion. Your personal life to the degree you’re willing to share it. Your personal journey. Your personal lived and learnt lessons. It’s all relevant and related.

harnessing the competitive advantage of personal branding

The competitive advantage a personal brand gives you is an audience who KNOW. LIKE. TRUST. you.

To harness the competitive advantage of pure personal branding, you must:

know yourself inside out, round and round, upside down.

love who you are and who you’re being online and otherwise.

trust yourself implicitly.

The inverse is how we get the outverse.

TRAD marketing has us deliberately engineer know, like, trust outwardly with known psychological levers. Personal branding has us inadvertently cultivate know, like, trust inversely. Just by being ourselves.

You can not become known without deciding what you want to be known for. And you can not decide what you want to be known for, without first knowing yourself.

You can not create an audience of people who like you, if you yourself do not love who you’re being and what you’re doing.

You can not invoke trust naturally, if you do not trust yourself. If you do not trust that the way you want it to work, will work. Your trust in yourself must be implicit to inspire trust from others.

Personal branding is back-the-front trad marketing. It calls upon our natural tendencies to connect with, relate to and trust. This is why organic marketing works wonders for pure personal brands. The audience is earnt, not paid.

and then you outgrow yourself… again.

The levers of personal branding, familiarity and resonance, are disrupted not just for them, but for you too. The mirror shatters in front of you. Who you see online and otherwise, is not who you are. And who you’re becoming, you yourself are not even sure anymore.

There’s a tendency here for a pure personal brand to run to trad marketing. Clinging on to surety of strategy. Scared. Entering the unknown, as you know, is the essential part before every one of your quantum leaps. But clinging to strategies of others is the fastest way to go backwards when you thought you were making every attempt to go forwards. Even when you know that’s never worked before.

A sudden obsession with strategic direction after an extended run of trusting yourself implicitly. The sure-fire sign you’ve entered the unknown of a personal brand outgrown… again.

Yes, who you were was familiar, there was less fear in her. You knew how to be her. You had evidence it worked. You knew what she would say, what to sell and what parts of your personality people responded to.

Being yourself is continual self-recognition.

No, we can not conjure up a clean and beautiful shift in message and make grand plans to nail the messaging before we have shown up.

We must find our unfound selves in the field. The uncomfortable price of personal branding so few are prepared to pay.

It’s less of a rebrand and more of a continual evolution of being yourself you’re constantly clocking. Without going backwards to the known, familiar and unchanged and without looking around to see what works. Now.

Because your business is intricately connected to your personal brand and because you’ve been piggybacking on the benefits of personal branding, you are now met with the downside of the upside. No matter how much you try, the persona of the past may stop fitting the woman you are now and that’s how personal branding becomes a Trojan horse for being yourself.

Compulsory Crash-Out Content

Crash-out content becomes compulsory for bringing the audience you earnt along for the self-metamorphosis ride. Figuring it out in the field, together.

It’s digging into the depths of your soul and values, right now and asking the honest question: who are you now?

Your ability to post and create from who you are now just shows what degree you’re willing to be yourself… publicly.

When you’re not sure of yourself for this season, lean into the surety you have of your body of work. Build a brand around your body of work, to slowly and surely find yourself inside of what you know.

8 Weird Ways To Force the Quantum Leap of Being Yourself

1: Go on a quest and make a big mess

Do not try to figure it out before you move, create, show up or go. Consume, create, experiment. You’re not looking for the perfect messaging or direction yet, you’re figuring it out and making a big mess. Creating a narrative instead of needing a niche and bringing us along on your hot mess express. Maybe they won’t hire you just yet, but they’ll be entertained and start playing along at home.

2: Unashamedly follow trends until you find your edge and self again

Don’t let the bullies having meltdowns over butter yellow fonts deter you. Originality is an outlier, you’re allowed to get your motor running by jumping on trends.

• Start a Substack… that’s on trend. Muck around and figure it out. Until you find your self again.

• Find reels that are trending and recreate your own, until you find your edge again.

Play around with what’s working. Sometimes to get back in the field, you have to find what’s working, to find what’ll work for you. Eventually you’ll be making the trends they follow. But for now, don’t beat yourself for jumping on trends.

3: Collect codes from your last chapter to start your next one

There’s nothing more inspiring from your past works of art to inspire your future ones.

4: Crash-out content becomes compulsory to pass go on the comeback

Clear up the mismatch by calling yourself out and letting us in. Tell people what no longer fits, what you’re questioning, what you’re changing and what you don’t know yet. And then move on. There’s nothing more resistance releasing than laying cards on the table and saying “FK IT”.

5: Post prolifically so you have no time to overthink it

It means exactly what it sounds like. The more you create, the less you think and the less you think, the more you’re being yourself in the moment. You’ll get to witness yourself being yourself. The mirror of social media. Prolificness helps you do that.

6: Build a brand for your body of work while you find yourself again

When you’re not sure of yourself and how you want to show up for this season, lean into your body of work (or make a body of work). Your body of work or making a body of work, becomes the sun of your personal brand. It becomes the centrepiece that the whole thing exists around. What you’ve learnt, made, taught, written, tested and proven is still there. Rediscover it. Build around that.

Your body of work becomes the grounding while your personal brand is up in the air figuring itself out… continually.

7: Choose a body of work every month for the next 6 months

Instead of spending six months trying to figure out your personal brand, spend 6 months making things that represent it.

you’re going to focus on each month for the next 6 months and your personal brand will never be the same again. your body of work is the grounding while you’re figuring your shit out.

8: Personal branding is a Trojan horse for being yourself

You thought you were building a personal brand but all along the personal brand is more about being yourself than anything else.

In order to make a name for yourself, you must know yourself and to know yourself you must be yourself.

It’s the complete opposite to what we’ve been told and taught right!? I know.

If you’re creatively stuck it’s probably because you’re trying to make every post a masterpiece and FB, IG and Substack notes don’t need to be where your best creative work lives.

I post here, there and everywhere. Bits and pieces. Stream of consciousness in trial reel captions, off-the-cuff posts on FB, this essay that started as just a random thought bubble describing a shift I shared on a FIGURE7 mastermind call this week.

Going viral isn’t the business model, but hypergrowth through brand awareness is the business strategy.

And you can’t do that with every-now-and-then content creation in 2026. And we can’t be leveraging this when we’re hating on socials.

So let’s get it together.

Remember the story of Poppi that sold for almost $2B? Brand awareness was their number one KPI for the first 3-4 years. They scaled through brand awareness and cultural moments instead of trad marketing.

Keep that in mind when the girlies tell you going viral and being prolific don’t matter. In 2026, as a creator for my own businesses since 2006 and blogging since 2011… it does.

My social media becomes the writers corkboard.

Little scraps of paper with ideas sketched on them. Post it notes with random thought bubbles. Instead of going into notes, shower ideas are posted on whatever platform is closest. No storage. No filing system. No ideas going into notes to die a slow and painful death in the never ending ether of notes. No post schedule. Just pure in-the-moment, off-the-cuff, unfinished creative pieces.

At the end of the week, like today, when I’m about to do a Creatormind masterclass, I go through and gather it all together. Plug it in, piece it together and use that to make the big piece (my live Creatormind masterclass in a few hours) or my Creative Nymph piece last week.

After a week of prolific posting, I went through all the posts that were in the realms of becoming a creative nymph and outwitting resistance to write your book. I copied and pasted all my off-the-cuff notes. Like a writer with her post it notes and corkboard of ideas. And I put them all together and turned it into a masterpiece. A piece of all the parts.

My work is with LIFEWORKERS. So this is your life’s work. When it’s your life’s work you can really get a bee in your bonnet about only posting the best stuff.

• That makes you overthink everything.

• Put too much effort into spaces and places that do not receive that effort with reverence.

• You procrastinate on posting because you’re only posting your best stuff

• You don’t have ‘resistance releaser’ content clause - the clause where I create commentary and call out my resistance about said… content.

  • For example the post I did earlier calling myself out for being in a bit of a resistance mush about my next essay.

• You stick your nose up at trends and algorithms because it gives you the ick.

• Scrolling is zero fun because everyone is annoying you.

• You roll your eyes at every post because “OMG we’re using butter yellow font now are we!?”

Those are all signs to me of a creator who is trying to make every single piece of content a masterpiece.

To me that puts too much weight on one single post. It’s also not congruent with current consumer behaviour (if that’s something you keep your eye on, like I do). It also just downright makes me create at a snail pace and in 2026, as a creator who has been blogging since 2011, I’ve never seen such volume required to cut through the noise.

So yeah, zero pretentious energy required on socials.

Will you add to the noise?

First of all, just take up space. People will use their right to scroll on by.

Second of all, it can be just so much more lighthearted if you let yourself have fun with it.

Third of all, your one post a day is no where near the cadence that’s required to make it online now (and I can’t believe I’m saying that..

But here I am, a prolific creator and even me, a woman who has been posting on the internet for her businesses since 2006 and blogging since 2011. I am humbled daily at the level and speed some people are posting (and not shit, like good stuff).

A Masterclass On Going Viral, Being Prolific, Hypergrowing Your Business While Writing Books Without Disappearing From The Internet.

It took me five days to write and gather the pieces together and make a masterpiece. A full essay.

Meanwhile people are writing three epic essays a week and 100s of banger IG carousels and reels and maybe a podcast thrown in there. All made themselves and without AI (I’m obviously not comparing myself to AI slop posters).

I’ve always identified as a prolific creator, but this 2026 quantum leap crew, they’re on some next level Firehose energy of catch me if you can. And even me… the one that has been told for decades “you create so much I can’t keep up”.

Now, I feel like I’m a slow creator even though I’m aligning to being prolific. In 2026 prolific creator means something completely different than when I had my first six figure year from life’s work in 2014.

1: Social media is for your creative process, not the masterpieces

I save my best creative for my books and things that take days and days to make like… big, beautiful paid essays.

There’s exceptions to the rule of course. For example we’re rolling out the Big Dreams Bootcamp 111-Day Big Dreams Bootcamp filmed on Daydream Island & Broome and while full-time travelling Australia with 3 kids in a caravan documenting my first million… for free.

But originally this was part of a paid program with live calls on top of these videos.

2: Commentary content, not just the creative

If you have personal brand, you need more layers of content than just one. Creative is one layer to create the know, like, trust Creatormind field, that reduces the need to hardcore market and sell and instead gives you more freedom to just be yourself and straight up sell without bells and whistles and no sales calls. Because trust has been formed. There’s no sales required.

Trust is done not just from the creative output, it’s built by the commentary content.

Commentary content is the layer of content where you use before, during and after to commentate about what you’re doing, where you’re going, what you’re making. It’s the modern day launching formula for personal brands that don’t launch or do sales calls or even ads for that matter (me 🙋‍♀️)

Before you make the thing, talk about the thing you’re going to make.

While you’re making the thing, talk about making the thing.

After you’ve made the thing, while delivering it, talk about the thing you made and how you made it.

Commentary is; I went here, I did this. It’s not the pure creative piece, it’s the creative expression.

3: Resistance releaser: If social media is hard right now. Just say it.

You don’t have to make the resistance your whole personality. You can just post it and move on. Saying you feel a bit stuck, becomes a demarcation between then and now.

This is the thing…

If you’re waiting to only make perfect, high-quality content, you’ll have these big gaps between creative flow.

This only works, if you have a big dream and you’re raising your beliefs to match it. Not if you’re trying to back out or let yourself off the hook. Hold the standard. But just call yourself out for not rising to the occasion you set yourself.

4: Turn social media into your writers corkboard of post it notes and random ideas

My social media has become a writers corkboard. That’s the vision I have. Can you see it too?

5: The gathering

At the end of the week (or the start). I go back through all the bits and pieces floating around the socials. Transcripts, FB posts, Substack notes. Trial reel captions (these are gold). And I plug them into Claude. Ask it to sort the source material. Preserve all quotes verbatim. And organise it into an essay, book chapter, resource or Creatormind package.

I pull it all together and make a masterpiece form it.

6: Yes… jump on the butter yellow font trend if it makes you happy

Trend shaming is getting so old. Let the girls live yeah? Everyone getting their knickers in a knot about us jumping on trends.

• Trends are brand awareness building.

• Trends teach you how to ‘write viral’.

• Trends give you muscle memory for writing ideas that spread.

• Trends help you feel into the field for what is resonating.

• Trends help you get faster at creating and finding your own voice.

• Trends give you a template to make it your own.

• Trends give you hooks that grab attention and then you can do your thing in the caption.

• Trends help you to learn how to create things that people love. So you can share more of what you love.

• Trends help you have some quick wins when you need one

• Trends and going viral help bring some energy to your page when you feel stuck or stagnant

My most viral reel trend I started. One of the reels now sits on 3.3 million views. That was me making up a trend because I know what works now. I had the footage, music, font, and styling that I knew would work. Usually this clip didn’t work, but I knew the algorithm was favouring this kind of footage. So I posted it. Boom. 3.3M views on just one of them.

Save the best work for your paid work. Contrary to popular belief. Your off-the-cuff content is probably way more valuable than you think it is.

If you have experience, expertise, embodiment and enthusiasm for your life’s work, the message it going to start to come out. Stop trying to get it right. You’re putting way too much pressure on pieces that are seen as parts of a whole, not the whole thing alone.

I believe in it, I just study big dreams, my life’s work. I know it works. I’m down for any excuse where belief is high that the field is receptive to putting your big dreams and manifestations out into the universe.

Dress Rehearsed

You finally achieve the dream, and then, almost immediately, you start dismantling it. Not because you wanted to lose it, but because your psyche isn’t prepared to hold it.

Instead, spend the way to the big dream a way to become emotionally familiar with your future. Return to the feelings of the dream fulfilled over and over again until they no longer feel extraordinary. Let the feelings of the manifestation become natural. Ordinary. Safe. Familiar.

Then, when the dream manifests, it’s not an emotional explosion that fractures the field and sets your psyche into overdrive, trying desperately to get back to what is familiar, natural and known.

You’ve dress rehearsed that emotional state hundreds of times. So when the moment comes, your mind, your body and your energetic field don’t experience it as foreign.

By dress rehearsing the emotional state of the manifestation, as many times as possible, you’re making the feeling familiar. Our brains respond to vividly imagined emotion in remarkably similar ways to emotions from real experiences. By visualising and emotionalising your dream repeatedly, you’re preparing your psyche to receive the manifestation. You’re teaching your psyche that this level of success is safe to receive and safe to sustain

Feel As If, Not Act As If

Usually, manifestation is taught with an act as if mindset. I’m more interested in feel as if. Anything that stops me from freely and fully feeling the emotional state of my manifestation before it has happened is interference. My job is to uncover the outdated beliefs running that interference. Once they’re cleared through BELIEFETICS®, I’m able to invoke the emotional state I associate with my big dream already having come true.

I wanted to go viral. So I asked myself, How would that feel? Fun. Exciting. Alive. So my job each day wasn’t to chase virality. It was to invoke the feelings; fun, exciting, alive. Through visualisation, or through moments in everyday life, I would generate feelings of fun, excitement and aliveness. Then, while I was in that emotional state, I’d insert the manifestation.

Bring into my awareness ‘OMGANDOFCOURSE I’m viral, it’s so fun and lighthearted’.

Finally outwitting resistance in the most counterintuitive of ways. Not creating less but by creating more than ever before. You can.

Work With The Way You Work

Creativity is just as much brush strokes on a canvas as it is colour-coding your calendar to work with the way you work. It’s knowing what makes you create more than ever before. What makes the ideas come alive and feel like they’re bubbling over. Detangling the vision in your mind from the way you’ve seen it work and the way you want it to work.

The vision of a serious writer disappearing from the internet. A picture of solitude and wisdom. Cosy desks, teacups and rainy days. Ignoring the algorithm. Devoted to nothing but weaving sentences and paragraphs together. Distraction-free and dopamine-delayed, hidden away in a writing cave. Only to from the cave once done. Ohh how I craved being a writer who wrote in a cave.

So I did.

The Cost of The Cave

The writers cave I so craved to want and need cost me cashflow, creativity and confidence. Even with all the subconscious reprogramming under the sun, I couldn’t get the cave to work with the way I work. The cost of the cave became one I was no longer willing to pay, even though I knew writing books was the true calling and courses the shadow career.

I’ve been writing books since 2013. Over the years I’ve experimented with many ways to write them without disappearing from the internet and entering the cave, or staying present online. Even so, every book I rushed to the finish line, desperate to be done with it. Done with the havoc it was having on my confidence. Done with the cashflow chaos from disappearing from the internet. Done with the creative crisis, feeling like a writer who couldn’t write. In the rush to finish and free myself from resistance, I became a writer who wrote many books but didn’t have one she was proud to print.

I wrote books while disappearing from the internet on my dream writers retreat. And I was swallowed whole by resistance. I wrote books while trying to stay present on the internet and do the minimum effective dose. And was swallowed whole by resistance.

When I turned 42 it was clear to me what my forties were meant to be. My homeschooled kids, my full-time travelling family, were now in their teens and twenties, going after their own dream careers at university. Tahnie now in her final year of a Bachelor of Architecture. Amali is first year Bachelor of Psychology. Mason is a thriving homeschooling teen living his boating, camping, fishing dream life.

Fresh out of excuses. This was the moment I’d been waiting for. I had the time. After decades of making it my business balancing the B-words:

Resistance is what we experience before a Big Dream is manifested. Sabotage is the acclimation to a world built for who you were before the Big Dream came true. Trusting the Big Dream through all seven stages is Dreamspo.

Big Dreams are given to you as quests that will permanently reprogram core beliefs so you can live out your life’s purpose. The grand prize of fulfilling these quests is the person you become in pursuit of them, not because of them.

But then, just when you think you’ve won, sabotage gatecrashes the party. Sometimes before you’ve even cut the cake. Sabotage is acclimatisation to a new altitude. It brings with it mood manifestations, out-of-character behaviours, self-talk spirals, and identity crises that leave you disoriented and not feeling yourself. Try to bypass sabotage and you’ll repeat your results at best, but you won’t get better. Hold fast and stay true while the new you acclimates to a world built for the old you. When you transcend the craving for comfort and the fear of the unfamiliar, you’ll dream bigger and imagine more. That’s when you know the next Big Dream is about to begin.

Stories of these stages have been shared since the beginning of time. Myths, the Gods, quests, odysseys, pilgrimages, monsters, the wrath of Mother Nature, signs and symbolism are all attempts to make sense of the journey. The ancient art of telling stories of one’s quest is now interpreted through the language of manifestation, quantum physics and universal law. But no matter how evolved, enlightened or well equipped we become, there’s no escaping the metamorphosis of self required to have and hold the Big Dream.

The story of the Dreamspo book….

I spent the better part of a decade living and writing the Big Dreams book. It went through multiple iterations. Story heavy, from the four laps of Australia with my family of five, the origin story of the book. To a philosophy book. It flipped back between the too. Memoir-ish, codified and story-based. It couldn’t decide.

Big Dreams became my story - the road to my million dollar business. It’s what it wanted to be. But it left a big part of the universal lessons and laws that were the spine of the book but not the story.

For the longest time I could not decide on the name. I did energy healing sessions, psychic sessions, meetings with publishers and not one time did I get a definitive answer.

Until… I realised. They’re 2 different books about the same thing.

Big Dreams.

One is the stories of my lived Big Dream from start to finish. One is the are the philosophies behind Big Dreams.

You believe in wealth. You believe in money. You know it’s there. You do not not believe money exists. You know there are seven figure businesses, eight figure businesses, hundred million dollar businesses, billion dollar businesses. It’s been done for years. It’s not new.

We already know there are people who have what we want. The only thing we do or don’t have is whether we think we can or not.

We already know there are people who have what we want, in the way we want it. The only thing we don’t have is the belief that we can too.

We know there are people with everything we’ve ever dreamed of. The only difference in belief is this: Can I do that? Me. It’s never the possibility we doubt. It’s ourselves. The only distortion is our ability to see ourself being able to do it.

1: Self-Abandonment

There’s a grief that lives in the space between the self you’re living with the self you’re dreaming of. Most of us spend our whole lives abandoning the big dreams our true self concocts for us.

We’ve been taught that focusing on money is beneath us. So we avoid. We avoid the bank account. We avoid the shame, the guilt, the frustration, the anger that shows up every time we want to do something and simply cannot.

How many times this week have you felt that. The twang. The contraction. The moment you wanted to invest in something that would change your life and couldn’t. The moment you wanted to give someone an experience and had to say no instead.

Now how many times this week have you put your attention on the joy, the love, the bliss you have with money. How many times have you celebrated what’s already flowing.

We have it completely back the front.

Here’s the thing I shifted. I went from avoidance to attention. That’s the whole secret abundance situation. Avoidance to attention. Because most of us aren’t just avoiding the money. We’re avoiding the feelings we have about the money, the energy we have around it. And ninety nine per cent of the world tells you not to focus your attention on money at all.

Avoidance with love isn’t honourable. Avoidance with the health of your body isn’t honourable in any sense of the word. But when it comes to money, we’ve built this whole story that avoiding it is how you stay a good person. Avoidance is to be honourable when it comes to money.

Putting attention on it is to abandon yourself already.

The shame, guilt and self-rejection we attach to a lack of money often become an abandonment of self.

The Oyster System

Before we go further, I want to give you a way to receive what follows. Not everything I say will resonate with you, and that’s not just fine, it’s valuable. When something jars your system, when resistance rises in your chest, thank it. It’s helping you solidify what you actually believe.

Think of it as an oystering system. Everything comes in and you filter it. You take what’s yours. You solidify what makes you feel certain. And you stay curious enough to ask, where am I at with this right now.

I really hope we don’t agree with everything everyone says. If you hear something that doesn’t resonate, filter it through your oystering system, and go, okay, that just helped me solidify this value I have. Thank you. It’s a gift, the same as a gift that does resonate.

Money is such a great, honest read. There’s no subjectiveness in it. It’s just telling you yes or no. Such a beautiful, honest energy.

So when you feel a negative charge around money, shame, guilt, frustration, anger, that money isn’t there for you, you’re feeling an abandonment twang. I don’t love the word wound, I’ll call it a twang. I like to use my own words, so I own the coding of it instead of jumping onto somebody else’s ship.

The twangs you have about abandonment come up when money isn’t there for you and it feels like it’s running away. Money is leaving you, deserting you, not there for you. And what does that activate? Abandonment. It is abandoning me. It is not there for me.

Tell me the feelings that come up when it’s not there for you, for anything you want to do. It’s leaving you high and dry. It’s like you don’t want to be my partner, you don’t want to support me. Panic. Anger. Rage. Why. I don’t understand. Sad. Money’s alluding me like hide and seek. What are you doing, you’re driving me insane.

You know you’re this powerful woman with these gifts, and it’s limiting you, and it’s the same pattern, again and again. Money, come back, come back, come back. Like that Titanic moment on the door in the freezing water…. Come back.

Every single time it comes around it’s a deeper layer of shame, of guilt, of OMG here we go again. You’ve done so much work. You’ve done so much energy work, so much belief work, so much inner child healing. Why is it doing it again and again and again.

Shame will swallow you up and eat you alive. That’s why the pattern keeps happening, because of the shame you feel around it. And this does not define you. This is a tiny little piece of your whole experience. You wouldn’t even be here, doing this work, investing in yourself, if this was ninety or a hundred per cent of who you are. This is you cleaning up your side of the street.

These feelings you have around money, what do they remind you of. Usually it’s the person who actually abandoned you. Money’s just in the firing line of another relationship, another unresolved situation with somebody else. It could be your dad. It could be your mum. Money takes the rap. It’s the middleman you’re actually mad at.

Now I’m not going to take you into inner child healing. Clearly I’m not your therapist. This is energy work.

Money tends to expand what is already present. The more agency you have, the easier it becomes to create, steward and grow it.

If the custodian doesn’t have powerfulness, the custodian will have a money contraction. When you’re in powerlessness, money will be sparse. When you’re in powerfulness, when nothing has power over you, not the industry, economy or others or when it does and you have the tools to move yourself through it, money flows.

Powerfulness and money are best friends.

Hand your power over to somebody else’s opinion of you and you create instant powerlessness. Money dips immediately. It’s a direct proportion to your powerfulness.

When I looked up the opposite of abandonment, I expected something like presence. It said reclamation. I could not get it. I remember thinking, that makes no sense to me. But the more I sat with it, the more it landed.

Every act of abandoning yourself, every time shame or guilt rises and you let it walk straight through you unchecked, creates powerlessness. The instant through line to lack.

Reclaiming your power, taking your energy back as your own, is an instant through line to abundance.

I cannot believe I would ever have said this back in the day, but…

You cannot be your fullest expression of yourself without the money to do so.

I did not know who I was until I had the money to live where I wanted, go where I wanted, invest where I wanted. I knew the limited version of me, the one who could only have what she was capable of having. I did not know how generous I was. I did not know how much joy giving would bring me.

Doing a Helicopter Pub Crawl for Fathers Day… made me so unbelievably happy.

Sending hampers and baskets to my besties and my family for their birthdays gives me so much joy.

Having a year-long sabbatical writers retreat in the Whitsunday Islands, finding the house with the view of the mountains, the view of the islands… made me see how magical I am at manifesting not only the means but the logistics of the perfect place.

You don’t know how limited you are until you’re not. When you’re unlimited by money, you will become more of who you already are.

Your version of yourself right now is the limited version. Let me tolerate this. Let me make do with this. Let me be resourceful vs let me be unlimited. I want that. I get that. I do that.

Just Because

Just because is the highest vibrational energy around bringing in more money. No explanation required.

Just because I don’t want to be limited. Why not you.

You’ve spent your whole life thinking avoidance is honourable, and abandoning yourself instead of having your reclamation.

Reclamation is instantaneous abundance. I’m reclaiming my desires. I’m reclaiming what I want to do with my life, where I want to go, where I want to live. And money is the means.

I’m not going to skirt over it any more. I’m not going to abandon myself any more.

When shame comes up through the day, I’m going to question it. I’m going to call it out instead of letting it be.

So over the next 24 hours, you’re going to feel shame, guilt, apathy, grief, frustration, all the lower vibrations around money. This is your anchor. When it happens, grab it. Click your fingers, clap your hands, shake yourself, do something physical.

Ask it, where did you come from.

Then ask what you want to see instead. What you want to feel instead. Bliss. Enthusiasm. Excitement. Peace and harmony. See that. Feel that.

And say it.

You’ll feel it dissolve. Not because you suppressed it, but because you faced it and chose something different.

This isn’t a 10 hour breathwork journey. It’s not 10 pages of journaling. Emotions, fully felt, last about ninety seconds. It’s when we avoid them that they linger and compound and steal our energy for hours, days, years.

But it doesn’t stop at the feeling. Energy work in my world isn’t just stirring the air around. Unless you take that reclamation out into the world and give it somewhere to go, you’ve just dislodged things with nowhere for them to land. Write the post you’ve been wanting to write. A sentence, a paragraph, a story. Tag me if you want to. Because otherwise it’s just hot air you moved around.

Your energy is yours. Your power is yours. Your right to abundance is yours.

It always has been. You’re just finally claiming it back.

Courses were my shadow career.

Writing is the real one.

Maybe you've always known this about yourself too.

Launched challenges for the immediate gratification the book couldn’t promise.

Built funnels so you could focus on the book. But you didn’t.

You made more revenue but didn’t write more words.

Now the real calling is circling back.

The author. The writer. The artist.

Before you were a course creator.

I felt it too.

Twelve years ago, I made a promise to the Universe.

I knew my purpose was to help women, especially mothers, feel capable of their big dreams. My calling was to write about how I did it so they could believe in theirs.

My calling is strongest when it comes from lived experience rather than learnt expertise.

So I made a compromise. I’d live the story first. Then write about it.

Courses would become the fieldwork for my writing.

In 2014, this looked like launching courses on my codes for a year to build a six-figure business from my life’s work. So I could take a month off to write the book about my twenties juggling babies, big dreams, a university degree and businesses.

Unjuggled.

Writing Unjuggled asked me to heal feelings of inadequacy and unworthiness. Fears that years of effort would’ve be worth it. Not before I wrote it. Because I wrote it.

May you heal so hard you write the book you said you would…

The next ten years were spent living the words of the next book.

Cracking the elusive multiple seven-figure milestone as a Lifeworker. Doing what I loved for a living, with the ones I loved, in a way I loved. Taking my family of five on four laps of Australia.

So I could take a year off on my dream writer’s sabbatical to finish the next book I said I’d write.

Big Dreams.

The compromise had reached its natural completion and it was time to fulfil the promise.

Write the book I said I’d write.

I moved my family to a dreamy house in the Whitsunday Islands for a year-long writers’ retreat in the tropics. A semi-sabbatical. A year away from the shadow mediums to finally finish the book. Living in the manifestation of the big dream I’d achieved, as promised.

And true to form, in the face of it, I tried to chicken out. Go back to what I knew. Livestream daily again. Get a course launch on the calendar. Business as usual, clinging to the familiarity of courses and avoiding the uncertainty of writing as the primary medium.

The universe was not having it.

I got the sabotage flu. A mysterious cough that didn’t stop for months. Violent enough to tear tissue in my lung and leave my ribs in constant pain. I lost my voice. Not for a few days but for months. Speaking face to camera had been my main marketing medium for years. It was how I sold, how I connected, how I ran the business. Familiar. Certain. Proven. Without my voice, I couldn’t return to what was familiar.

There was nothing left to do but face the pages.

To build the belief that I could, so I would write the book I said I would.

You know you wrote the right book when the writing of it heals you and returns you to your core.

OMGANDOFCOURSE - when I was looking for this quote I found a post I wrote - 13 years ago TODAY… the day I posted this essay. This day 13 years ago - I underlined Steven Pressfield’s The War of Art:

Crystallising years of ideas into a book.

This book, the Big Dreams book required far more than learning to tolerate delayed gratification.

It required I heal my brain from fast-paced, immediate gratification and crystallise fragments of ideas and unformed chapters written over years.

For over a decade, I’d trained myself to create work that could be conceived, delivered and completed in a matter of days or weeks.

A book doesn’t work like that.

A book… the book, requires you heal the addiction to dopamine driven results. Idea, create, publish, instant feedback, reward… repeat.

The book, changes you as it comes through you. Consolidating twelve years of thinking into one body of work.

1. Your brain optimises for the rewards it repeatedly receives.

Over twelve years, my brain learned this pattern:

Idea, create, publish, feedback, reward - repeat.

Every course launch, livestream, sale, comment, enrolment and email open reinforced that loop.

The reward wasn’t only financial. It was social validation, completion, certainty and progress.

Neuroscientifically, repeated reward strengthens the neural pathways associated with that behaviour. Your brain becomes more efficient at seeking short feedback loops because they reliably predict a reward.

A book breaks that loop and reprograms you from the inside out and the outside in.

Idea, write, rewrite, rewrite again, second guess self, give up, come back to it, wait months, spend days perfecting 1000 words, knowing you there’s only 49,000 to go.

Your brain initially experiences this as a reduction in reward, even if the long-term reward is much greater.

2. I needed to get my hits elsewhere

The first few weeks of my writers retreat were way too quiet.

So quiet they made me write less not more and worse, not better.

You can roll out of bed and write words all day. Unshowered… this didn’t match the vision I had for this dream writers retreat season.

I needed a different reward ecosystem, so I started studying virality. I know, I know. The romantic version has me disappearing into the Whitsunday Islands for a year emerging with a finished manuscript. That’s not what happened.

I caved to the resistance, but in a way I accidentally worked with it. Learning how to go viral just for fun activated my Creatormind, like a creative hobby outside of writing.

Also switching from live course launches to omnipresent viral reels that sent people to my work, turned out to be pure genius for selling the book later on.

3. To trust in the timing and timelessless of concepts

I love courses, but once my compromise with the universe had expired, launching them was a process of moving from one bright shiny idea to the next.

For over a decade I created methods from those courses - those methods stuck and stayed. Those would be the books I’d write.

4. Incubation is part of creativity.

The difficulty around creativity is where the depth comes from.

Your brain continues organising ideas below conscious awareness while walking, showering, resting or sleeping.

Books benefit from time because they require ideas to connect across months or years rather than minutes.

Requiring long periods of sustained attention and good friction that I have so much fun with.

Writing the book wanted me to wrestle with the words until they came out and not blame social media for needing a break. This was the creative process.

Every hour I stayed with the writing, my brain healed from the scroll holes and effortless creation and instant gratification of launching courses hard and fast.

To follow an idea beyond its obvious conclusion, to with the discomfort of effort and payback.

5. Compression is cognitively demanding.

One of the hardest intellectual tasks is compression.

Anyone can produce 100,000 words.

Reducing 100,000 words to 60,000 while increasing clarity requires higher-order thinking.

The editing became hours of working with the words, moving them around, compressing them to make sense.

6. The fear of going from unfamiliar familiar

You’re going from familiar to unfamiliar…

It’s normal to feel fear until the unfamiliar feels familiar.

Resistance exists to return us to psychological familiarity. Reverse manifestation is the result of that quest.

When we imagine manifestation as a concept, we almost always associate it with manifesting what we’re dreaming of. Rarely do we consider the same process works in reverse.

Reverse manifestation is when resistance runs rampant.

All the fears surrounding your big dream begin bubbling beneath the surface. Negative self-talk on loop, negating every step you take towards this vision you have of the future. The more often these thoughts are repeated the more entrenched they become.

Changing your mind spares embarrassment.

Overthinking replaces under feeling.

Lowering the bar saves face.

Nonchalance protects you from rejection.

Discrediting milestones makes you more relatable and less insufferable.

Staying the same keeps everything familiar.

Before long you’re no longer just resisting the big dream, you’re living in the consequences of resistance, the constant psychological pull to return to familiarity. Now you’re living in the lag of the drag.

Courses aren’t dead, maybe they’re just dead to you.

Why so many creatives are quitting courses and I am too. Well actually I already did.

I haven’t run a live course since last year but there was something in me that still didn’t want to let go of courses.

As they’ve been the backbone of my business since 2013. Yes, I’m as OG as they come.

But live courses, where there’s no mentorship, that’s my zone of excellence not genius.

Which has worked in my favour for this current AI plot twist for an industry I’ve been in for over 15 years. Where expertise is commodified and personal experience and personalised application invaluable.

My genius, is mentoring with big dreams for their life’s work, hands-on.

Mentoring is field work for my life’s work, childhood dream and ultimate genius zone — writing.

It’s always been… writing.

Every day since 2013, I’ve been fully aware of this, and intentionally activating free will, that my writing would be written when the writing was ready to give my writing the time of day it deserved. When the kids were young and we were travelling full-time, that was not the time for sitting at a writing desk for 8 hours a day for 8 months on end to write the books.

The choice was made, course work, would be the field work for my life’s work. It gave me a way to synthesise the ideas I write on. Without the live courses and long-form livestreams to flesh out ideas, the code would not be as crystallised as they are now.

My modus operandi.

And if you look at it, it’s obvious. My courses are books. They were always meant to be books.

Running live courses was the research phase of the book writing process.

A historical fiction authors researches the stories of others to create a period piece. I have lived and learnt every story told to create my magnum opus.

Now I have time, it is time.

To pursue courses would to follow a shadow career, that was a doorway to now.

This has been in the works for 3 years. But the announcement I’ve avoided, the finality of it seems unnecessary, but to not declare it feels as if I’m leaving a door way open to take the easy way out of what I know is next.

Writing.

Last week I had a self-published writers dream happen. I updated my payout account for my book royalties. Thinking nothing much of it. Until pings from the past two years of backlogged book royalties came flooding in and woke me up in the middle of the night. I never get notifications on my phone. But for some reason, this particular night, in a very omg and of course way… I did. There was something about seeing this in the middle of the night that changed my brain chemistry around books as the vehicle and vessel for my big dreams.

If you’ve been playing along at home, this year has been a constant stream of signs and the as I always say - the how is in the hunches… the hunch has been enter your ‘prolific writers era’. While everything in my brain can not, or rather could not calculate how that was the… how.

UNTIL MY PHONE WOKE ME UP FROM BACKLOGGED BOOK ROYALTIES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT.

My biggest childhood dream was to write books for a living.

So as a conduit for big dreams, and a writer since the beginning of time.

Entering a chapter of my life where the kids I built my big dreams around and for - are grown but at home chasing their own.

How could the next calling and the road to my next big dream - be anything but… write the books.

Right now I’m going through a phase in my business where I’m cataloguing my modus operandi in so many ways it’s probably hard to see or even keep up. Or maybe not because you’re just in love with it.

Unlike so many others who can change up their messaging to meet the market. My business is not like that.

This is my life’s work, so a big part of how I show up and what I share online is an honouring of that before all else.

20 years ago… literally 20 years ago. It’s not just a number now, my middle daughter Amali is about to turn 20 and this all happened in the early days of my pregnancy with her.

…I started going after my big dreams in a big way.

To give you the cliff notes so I can get to my main point of this piece - I was 22 years old when I was pregnant with my second baby, Amali. One day on a whim I signed up to university and quit my job to start a work from home virtual assistant business as a side hustle to support the quitting of my job. Little did I know, that decision changed the course of my life and sent me on the path of following my dreams for decades to come. Little did I know that would be the last job I would have! YEP! 20 years ago… I’ve been running businesses to support my side-quests and hobbies for 20 years now.

It was in my early 20s, pregnant with my second baby girl that I would have the epiphany that would fuel my life for two decades and counting:

20 years ago, while pregnant with my baby girl who calls me her pride and joy - I had a supernatural moment and I’ve been living my life in service of that message ever since.

I answered back as if it were human, with a simple: “Okay.”.

I am a conduit for big dreams.

And that was that.

My message is not malleable and nor can it be moulded to suit the market and trends. It is as simple as: I am here to help women feel capable of their big dreams.

Which brings me to the books of my life and how my Big Dreams work.

My 20s were spent unjuggling my juggling act so I could achieve my big dreams.

• I had three babies in my 20s.

• Went from high-school drop out to university graduate.

• Built several businesses from scratch so I could stay home with them. From wedding make-up businesses to a lead-generation company to virtual assistant services and building a mummy blog as an unpaid side-quest.

• All while getting married, buying our first house, learning to wakeboard and going on regular camping trips to stay true to the lost art of childhood.

Enter my 30s… The shapeshift from supermum to freespirit who built a million dollar business in a van with 3 kids and her man.. the shapeshift.

This is where the book comes into the equation.

The minute I stepped into my 30s, it was much like the moment I stepped into my 20s and it would take me the first 2 years to figure it out.

Two years into my 20s - After fumbling to figure out the path of my 20s as a mother - I signed up to university, quit my job and started businesses. I was 22. I spent the next 10 years documenting what I did and how I did it.

That was the Unjuggled book.

Two years into my 30s - again, fumbling and figuring out the path of my 30s now as a mother of three, university graduate and entrepreneur. We sold our house, bought a caravan and did a lap of Australia. I was 32. I spent the next 10 years documenting what I did and how I did it, with my writing.

Wrapping up the dream and how I did it, was part of the universal assignment I accepted the day I heard the simple yet profoundly supernatural voice:

As a conduit for big dreams, my decades appear to be pilgrimages of dreaming up the impossible and then getting about the business of achieving it.

My message is not a message I can morph to meet the market. It’s me, as a conduit for big dreams, who accepted a universal assignment 20 years ago - that I’m here to help women feel capable of their big dreams. So I go and do the things they told us we couldn’t.

Books have been such a big part of my business since the beginning. My first $97 made online was the day I released my first book. Books are how I started making money online.

As time went on, the books were put on the back burner, to create content, run live courses and high-touch group coaching programs. But in reality they’ve always been at the core of it, the mentoring feeding my writing, seeing the patterns not just me but in others and being able to give them crystal clear understandings of what is happening and why. Has been a gift in itself. I’ve been able to see my codes, lessons, models of understanding… applied.

The coaching and mentoring has become a part of making the books rich with ‘omg you’re in my head’. And the books have been how the mentoring has been so detailed, nuanced and refined for each person. I’ve dug into codes and lessons in such deep ways, far beyond the surface, that when a client gets to experience one of my codes adapted for her, it cuts through the noise and goes straight to the spot.

Back to the book, royalties and my brain chemistry changing.

For years, I could not decide what to call the book of my 30s… The freespirited metamorphosis of travelling full time as a family of five and creating a multi-million dollar business from my life’s work.

Big Dreams or Dreamspo.

Then, it was obvious - they’re two books.

Big Dreams - The Road to My Million Dollar Business.

Dreamspo - The 7 Stages of Manifesting Big Dreams.

Dreamspo, is the 7 stages stages, without my story, it belongs to the reader.

Big Dreams - is the stories and strategies. The lessons and codes and where and when I learnt them. All 111 of them.

They’re two different books.

I’ve been writing Dreamspo, but now I’m updating the Big Dreams book to let it be what it really is, so the second edition is coming.

That’s why I’m writing two books at once, they’re the same book, but different.

One is the juiciness of the big dreams stories on the laps and travels. One is the beauty of the stages, that I channeled and have lived in accordance to for the past 14 years.

The book royalties streaming in, had me believe my next big dream is because of my books and it always has been.

You’re either living in the manifestation of past thoughts, feelings and actions or living in the lag of them.

Positive thought → Energising belief → Intentional action → Manifestation → Self-Belief → High Vibration → Upward Spiral

Our first lap of Australia was in a tiny 1980s caravan, the ones with the yellow retro stripe down the side, old dark wood interior and a green oven and fridge that didn’t work. No conveniences to name, not a toilet, shower or even double bed for us. Me and Mark slept outside on a blow up mattress under the annex that took 2 hours to set up.

When we walked into the caravan dealership and stepped foot into a brand new caravan after having one on the vision board for years of driving that old one. We knew exactly what we wanted. The sparkling sink, queen bed, triple bunks… with the long windows alongside the beds not just at the head of them. A big bathroom, massive mirror and the most beautiful coloured light-wood cupboards, a massive freezer and ceasar-stone looking benchtops. It was even better than we’d imagined.

It was perfect. Armed with the negotiation skills me and Mark have, especially when we’re together. We walked in the office, and said what we were willing to pay in cash. They proceeded to tell us that brand new caravans weren’t negotiable. We proceeded to get up and walk out. Letting our kids watch what they knew was a skill their parents had and via osmosis they were picking up. After they got the general manager in, a bit of back and forth.

I bought that caravan in cash.

The first caravan we’d looked at… we bought in cash.

We were ready for our second lap of Australia this time in luxury.

Making dreams come true

I was living in the manifestation of inspired action, emotionalised visualisations (I’d visualised this caravan a million times) and positive beliefs stacked over time.

We were living in the manifestation of past thoughts, feelings and actions accumulated, repeated, absolutely stacked over a prolonged amount of time.

It was a dream. It was bliss. It was better than I imagined.

And then…

After saying our goodbyes to family… again. We were off on our second lap of Australia, this time with no return date.

We made our way down the east coast of Australia, this time being able to stay on the edge of cliffs and beaches, we’d not been able to stay at before because we always needed to be plugged into power.

After a few months of the most fun ever, we found ourselves camping off-grid on the beach… for free.

Free-camping on the beach. Days on the beach, fires and star gazing at night. It was a dream.

We now had a caravan that could be off-grid, powered by the sun, water collected from the sky, food could be caught, warmth made through sticks and fire. The kids in their element.

It was here, as most dreams do, they lull you into a bliss bubble, where you lose your drive and spark and the light slowly goes out without you knowing.

This is the part where the lag took hold.

My Tuesday’s still reserved for client work. I remember having this feeling:

“I could just work with my current clients, I don’t need to show up anymore, I don’t need to keep growing…..”.

Famous. Last. Words. That activate a lag.

2 years of energetic escrow and stacked actions, beliefs, thoughts and feelings. Cut off at the knees with one unchecked, knee-jerk reaction and contemplation. That sounded ever so healthy. Knowing my callings, it was anything but.

A month went by, me happily just working with my current clients, not actively pursuing more. Barely selling, hardly showing up. No positive beliefs reinforced in service of the big dream. Just happily content.

Things started to slow, but that’s what I wanted right? Just happily coach my clients and not show up and do the things I know to do, to grow the thing.

I didn’t stress out, this is what I wanted right? Slower paced, less focused on my thoughts, beliefs and actions and just living in the moment…. right?

Another month went by, clients were completing, recurring was slowing and I had this deja vu moment.

Hasn’t this happened before? Where I’ve decided on a whim to just pull back, lean back… and convincing myself there’s no need to try or want or align anymore?

Things were falling apart, and just like a movie, I watched the montage of destruction play out. With seemingly no ability to grab the downward spiral and stop it.

I was in sabotage.

A few months before I bought a caravan in cash. It was a big dream. A big dream I’d visualised, manifested and achieved after years of stacked inspired, intentional actions, beliefs and feelings.

My psyche had not acclimated to this new level of comfort, so it sought to destroy all that created it.

As the psyche does, it was trying every trick in the book to remove the unfamiliar comfort to return to the familiarity of discomfort. While convincing oneself it just wants the slow-life, the drama-free life.

But that’s not what it was, was it? It was just switching off. It was not paying attention to thoughts, beliefs and feelings and instead just letting the normal limiting beliefs stack up, the discomfort with the new luxury and comfort backlog into the low-grade shitty feeling.

Another month goes by, and I’m well and truly living in the lag.

“You’ve changed.

Living in the lag of uninspired actions and ascension symptoms

Ascension, acclimation, for women mostly is when we convince ourselves we don’t want what we created. And we do everything in our power to ‘get it off me’.

The comfort - get it off me.

The convenience - get it off me.

The luxury - get it off me.

The success - get it off me.

We are now living in the lag.

Where big dreams go to die and souls purpose tries to hold on while you do everything in your power to get it off you.

We stop dreaming dreams we had.

We get salty about success in a way that feels

We manifest moods, that aren’t real.

We experience phantom sicknesses that give us a legitimate excuse to not do what we know and want to do.

One, unchecked contemplation in the middle of sabotage, the acclimation period of a big dream just manifested and we’re in a spiral that becomes a lag. And I look around and ask myself: “What the fuck have I done?”.

This lag had been created by lulling with one unchecked contemplation that I have no need for my life’s work to be seen outside the circles of those familiar with me.

Welcome to living in the lag.

When you’re living in the lag every action you take doesn’t stack on the last, it starts from scratch.

When you’re living in the lag, every action feels like pushing a boulder up hill, one day off your game and you’re rolling back down that hill starting again.

Getting out of a self-created lag requires perseverance not required when you don’t get into one in the first place.

The lag you’re living in is a result of the overthinking

Over thinking and under feeling, lulls you into a lag.

The lag manifests from overthinking from under feeling creating a creative drought.

The lag manifests from negative self-talk creating challenges that need not exist.

The lag creates lack of self belief and direction and a disconnection with your purpose.

The lag is like a lullaby of spiralling premonitions like a subconscious replay of self-destructive visions that start playing out in real life and real time and you have no energy, time or ability to stop them.

The lullaby of a lag, is what makes it so destructive. Like boiling water that starts as a simmer. You don’t know you’re fucked until you can’t get out.

You pull back for a week, a month, three, and nothing happens.

Unless one knows of a the lag, the rationale for how it started, still feels sound.

The dip isn’t showing from doing less. Until it does, so fast it’s impossible to slow it down. Then it happens all at once.

By the time you wake up from the lull, in the middle of a lag… there’s so much downward momentum, it takes everything in you just to stop the spiral. Then comes the reversal of its direction.

Once you get past the frustration of ‘how did I let this happen’. You’re ready to go, you get yourself geared up and away you go again. Expecting to click your fingers and be back in flow. But the field does not respond.

Running is easier if you run everyday.

Creativity is a muscle. Creativity is as much an intentional act as it is muscle memory. When the muscles have run weak in a self-created lag from self-destructive thoughts, beliefs and behaviours… the comeback from a lag becomes a heavy lift without the muscles to hold it.

I’ve created a career where it is my J-O-B to have interesting content that gets attention so that my works of art can be seen.

It just makes sense that I’m going to use the balancing acts to create content.

It is very specific and intentional what I do and don’t use. For example, if I’m going for a walk by myself, that’s easy. I can take a couple of photos and do all the things.

If I’m going with my family, it becomes a conversation of: ‘are we taking photos on the way there or on the way back?’

When we were hiking Emma Gorge, a waterfall in the middle of the wilderness park at El Questro, Western Australia on our fourth expedition around the country in a caravan. I was creating mini travel vlogs of our travels (balance is my business model). So it became a conversation. When we were in the car before the hike, I said, “Are we filming the walk there or are we filming the walk back?”

By deciding whether to film the walk up and back of a balancing act, is balance in and of itself.

We decided to film flat out on the way there, and then on the way back we didn’t film at all. And of course, one could wonder can we just go for a walk and not film it? Well I mean you could, but this is my balance. Balance is my business model. I wouldn’t be able to go on these adventures if I didn’t have the business and balance I have. I’ve chosen a career where it is my J-O-B to be inspired, to create content and having more fun and more balance than anyone I know has become my job to show not just tell.

That is how balance becomes the strategy.

I’m intentional with the content I create. So that theres balance even within the experience itself. I’m not filming the entire experience. I film one part of it and become very strategic with that part.

The more effective and efficient you become at capturing your balance, the less you need to film to get exactly what you need.

Especially if you are not making a vlog, you definitely don’t need to record as much as I do. You can take a couple of photos, post a couple of stories, grab a selfie, and you’re done.

Balance is now your business model.

Balance as a business model also applies specifically for personal brands where it’s essential to bring the back ends of your business operations to the front ends through content creation.

Okay, let’s get into code 63 of Big Dreams Bootcamp - the business of belief

I used to say: it’s all about belief.

I still believe that with every fibre of my being, but with more context. Now it feels more important to emphasise the reason ‘it’s all about belief’.

Belief is in service of the big dream, without the big dream, the belief is not needed.

Without the big dream, there is no need for belief to be fed, stretched… expanded.

Without the big dream, you’re good, your beliefs are fine. Big beliefs aren’t needed when there’s no big dream to be fed. Belief only has to move and expand and change and grow when you’re dreaming bigger than you’ve ever dreamt before, and doing bigger than you’ve ever done before.

The big dream is the whole reason the belief has to grow big at all.

Belief as a strategy for your big dreams, is just as important as any business, branding, marketing, pr or sales strategy. Because without belief you’re not going to trust your visions that would make you stand out in the first place and you’re not going to let yourself fully go for it, because there’s no belief that you can, should or would make it.

Your business is only going to grow as big as your beliefs and your big dreams are only going to be achieved as fast as your belief can hold them.

Your business is deeply impacted by your beliefs, especially if your business is charged up by your personal brand. The energy field that makes you, you.

The beliefs (or lack of) that impact business directly;

• The belief that being yourself is going to work.

• The belief that you know what you’re doing when it comes to branding.

• The belief that you can build a sustainable, beautiful, enjoyable business and love it.

• The belief that you can hold the responsibility of having a beautiful, big million dollar empire that’s just as easy to run as it is when it’s 6 figures.

Belief Is In Service Of A Big Dream

I want you to visualise your big dream right now. Between you and your big dream, look at the journey. If you were an eagle looking down on the quest, on the pilgrimage you were doing, what would the scene be. Are you climbing a mountain. Are you in a desert, walking and walking and walking until you come upon an oasis. Are you on a beach somewhere, walking along the sand.

Take the house out of the equation. Take every material luxury you have and see the big dreams quest just as a pilgrimage. A pilgrimage is not somewhere you are stationary. A pilgrimage is where you go somewhere, and you walk a path.

For the purposes of this, I look at it like I’m walking through all different kinds of terrain, because that’s how I did it with my million dollar business. I quite literally went on a literal pilgrimage across and around and around and around the country. Through the desert. Through the rainforest. Through the beaches. Through everything. There was no home. I was on a pilgrimage. I was on a quest.

Every Obstacle Is A Chance To Build A Belief You Don’t Have Yet

Along the pilgrimage, look at every single obstacle as a chance and an opportunity. It’s an opportunity for you to build a belief you require and desire for the big dream. Instead of looking at every obstacle like a thorn in your side, you look at every single obstacle as an opportunity for expanding your growth and getting faster and further quicker. It’s like a cheat code.

The practical application is to see every obstacle as a chance, quite literally, to develop a belief you didn’t have yet. Meet it with childlike wonder. Because one of the strategies is building belief, and we cannot build belief if we’ve not bumped up against these beliefs along the way, along our pilgrimage.

It’s not a pilgrimage unless there are obstacles. It’s not a quest unless there are things put in our path as an opportunity to formulate a new belief we’re going to need when we get to the destination. To hold the destination with grace. To hold our location of where we’re going with ease and grace and flow.

OMG, let me see what belief this is bumping up against and how I can transform it, and then you get a whole path to keep going. You can pass go now.

You’re achieving something you’ve never achieved before. It’s a big dream because you don’t even think it’s doable, but here you are on this quest in the middle of it. You don’t even have this full belief that you can. It’s intermittent. It’s spontaneous and sporadic. And occasionally you believe you can. Meanwhile, you’re already in the middle of this hike. You’re already there.

Do people go hiking just for a beautiful, easy walk up a mountain. They don’t. They know the edges are going to happen. But if you go on a quest with childlike wonder and awe, ooh, let me see how I’m going to overcome this obstacle so I can pass go and continue on, it’s such a different way to look at these obstacles as the way you’re developing a real core belief in yourself, in others, in the way you want to do it.

Every single day of your big dreams, you’re going to come up against something that is helping you develop a piece and part of your belief.

Beliefs Are Not Reprogrammed With Theory

We did 4 laps of Australia as a family of 5, it was the best thing we’ve ever done and best thing we could’ve ever done for our family. But at the beginning it was brutal. Especially the first lap of Australia that we did on a budget. Some of my biggest memories are because it was so hard. Looking back I can tell so clearly, it was creating the character capable of holding the big dreams I was asking for.

The core memories, that made me from our travels, are the ones where I held my energy and had breakthroughs that changed my psyche and how I reacted in upcoming situations. Those times when when I relied so deeply on gratitude to get me through the hard or rough days when I or we were at our edge.

One time comes so clearly to mind was when we travelled 1,500 kilometres on a dirt road and ended up in a place with no water. We hadn’t planned for it to be so remote and we weren’t set up properly for it. The kids were thirsty, we needed a toilet (that our first van didn’t have), we were covered in dust and setting up in the dark. I remember thinking to myself “This is a disaster, what in the world am I doing… what have we done”.

Eventually we found water and a drop toilet 10 minutes away from our camp. But because it was an off-grid camp with nothing but a red dirt area to camp, we couldn’t hook up to power and we had no off-grid capabilities in our first van. And to top it off, the pop top on the caravan was broken so we couldn’t put the van fully up to sleep us all in it. I slept in the car and Amali slept on the back seat.

My ability to stand outside on one of those days and watch the sunset and the colours in the desert, and still feel gratitude, and smile a little smile to myself, like I get it, this is a part of the growth. I still look back on that moment. I still remember my husband kicking a rock. I still remember huddling and getting my whole family back on track instead of melting down. I still remember lying in that car at night with the seat back, looking at the stars, and just smiling to myself, going, that was a hard day. I learnt so much. I’m a strong woman, and look at what I’m capable of doing.

Those are the days where you meet yourself and grow your belief. Those are the days where you get a belief that it doesn’t matter how hard it gets. I found a way, and I always do. When it feels impossible, I make a way when there is none. That gave me that belief. That gave me some inner strength I hadn’t got by theory alone.

Beliefs are not reprogrammed with theory. Beliefs are only reprogrammed with application. Seeing this belief applied gives you the knowing that this belief is you, and you have this belief.

I Found A Way, And I Always Do

So go and find the photos that reflect what your pilgrimage looks like. This is not just a mental massage. This is a to-do. Make a declaration of how you’re going to meet the obstacles as opportunities, knowing that a belief is getting formulated in this moment.

Tell me a time where you crafted and created a belief by applying something you knew, and then you had this implicit belief that then you could. Remember that you have a big library and a big history of these things you can actually draw upon.

Your business is only ever going to grow as big as your beliefs.

So let’s grow them.

I picture the same thing every morning I set my $DIARIES number. A school science demonstration, a metal rod, currents running around it, visible, moving, alive. That image is where the whole practice lives for me.

The number I choose for the day is that rod. My energy is what runs around it, the way those currents ran around the metal, finding ways to think up toward the thing I’ve set out for myself.

Every number I set inside $DIARIES carries one job. Give my energy something to play with.

Not a figure to hold myself accountable to. A number I’m setting my energy to align around, a frequency I’m choosing to play with and work with for the day. That distinction is the entire practice, and I ask every $DIARIES member to make it explicit before they touch the exercise at all.

The current, not the accountability

Here’s what the rod actually does once the number is set. It creates a current. That current creates a magnet. And by the end of the day, what it creates is coherent energy. Heart coherency. Everything feels like it lines up. I’m centred, and there are no energy leaks happening. All of that energy gathers into a quickening.

That’s the work. Not hitting a figure. Feeling the current organise around the number instead of scattering past it.

Before we go any further into the practice, I want you to write this below:

Make that statement before you go any further, because the essence and the true meaning of the work sits inside it. The point was never to hold yourself accountable. It is literally to give yourself this one rod to play with your energy, to see your energy, to experience the money work that gets to be done.

We do this every single day. The number can change every day. Some mornings it will be bigger than yesterday’s, some mornings smaller, and neither one needs explaining to yourself, because the number was never the test.

Write your own version of the declaration if you want to, in your own words. Or use mine. What matters is that somewhere, before the number, you’ve said it plainly. It’s not a number I’m holding myself accountable to. It’s a number I’m playing with. It’s representing a frequency. And the whole practice is about playing with the energy of it.

The Big Dreams Doorways

I can’t even deal with how uncannily, eerily epic these codes are, even for me the one who lived and learnt them and embodied them for years and years and years. Remastering Big Dreams Bootcamp and bringing it out of the Big Dreams vault for you to enjoy for free has been a magnum opus project in and of itself.

Catching codes, bottling them up. Like a message in a bottle and handing them to you.

As I move through these big projects, knowing full well how important they are to my life’s work, but also with this absolute certainty theres a Big Dreams Doorway I can’t see or even fathom, on the other side of them feels peaceful and infuriating all at once.

The magnum opus you’re resisting is the big dreams doorway (and there’s no way around it, just through it).

The projects we resist the most are not standing between you and the next big dream, they’re the door to it. But really it’s more than a project isn’t it, it’s a magnum opus. It’s got meaning, emotion and creative catharsis behind it.

The magnum opus, what we’ll name those projects with deep cathartic meaning and significance to wrapping up a cycle in a bow. They’re the big dreams doorways.

Think of your magnum opus as the unlock to the big dreams doorway, until you do it, that door ain’t opening. There’s no short cut or quick win through the doorway. Avoid it all you want, go around it, try to find an easier or faster way, but in the end that big dreams doorway isn’t opening until you have the guts and the vision to dig deep and go all the way through it, with the magnum opus you’re resisting making.

Why you experience so much resistance around your magnum opus

In the creative process, resistance is the internal obstacles the psyche puts up in response to a big, meaningful, career defining work of art. The psychological and spiritual impact can range from fear, self-doubt, procrastination, avoidance and perfectionism. Preventing the creative work of art from being done. A universal and invisible force that rejects your efforts to move forward and create great works of art.

Steven Pressfield popularised in his book; “The War of Art” with this quote:

Most people read resistance back the front. They feel the weight of a project, the way it sits dense in the body every time they think about starting it, and they take that as a sign to let it go. As if the discomfort is telling them it’s ‘not in alignment’ or ‘it’s the wrong direction’. Only you know if you’re making up stories to fit the narrative of rationalising yourself out of creating a work of art that wants to move through you.

My relationship with resistance is seeing it as fear of the future made manifest in the now. It’s a fitness test for the big dream I’m asking for, and the antidote is never to wait for the fear to pass, or to put the magnum opus (or big project) on the back burner and forget you ever had the inspired idea. It’s to raise your beliefs to match the bigness of this project. Even when fear is clouding your judgement and motivation.

The creation of your magnum opus is the yellow brick road of Big Dreams. You never quite know the experiences you’re going to have creating it or the big dreams doorways it’s going to open up because of it. You just know, in your know-er. That you’re meant to complete this.

And when you’ve had this experience more than once, you’ll trust in it, but until then, here’s mine.

The big dreams doorway that opened when I made my first career defining magnum opus.

I sat on a book for 15 months. A work of art, a magnum opus that would sum up 10 years, a full decade of unjuggling my juggling act to achieve my big dreams. All the codes of everything I’d lived and learnt in one book.

The Unjuggled book, that wrapped up my 20s filled with juggling big dreams, babies, business and big dreams and building a blog that I would later take to the millions.

It was all unlocked with the magnum opus I resisted for 15 months. The book sat on the shelf of things to do.

I finally sat down, stopped everything else I was doing and focused on writing that 50,000 word book in 30 days. It went to number 1 best seller on the first day and we were packing our house up to go on a trip around Australia. An idea I got the day I hit best seller status on the book. An idea that wasn’t even in my field before then.

The book was the big dreams doorway. That doorway ended up being the decision that created my 30s of travelling full-time with my family of five and creating a multi-million dollar business from my life’s work while having more balance than anyone I know, bringing it online bigger than before and being more me than ever.

That book It was standing behind a door, that book was the unlock for that big dream.

I could not have willed that dream into view by thinking harder about my 5 year plan. It only existed on the other side of completing my magnum opus.

Sometimes it’s the deep creative projects we incessantly resist, in the midst of all the instant gratifying creativity available to us, that turn out to be the doorways to bigger dreams we never knew we had.

And here we are full circle, rolling out the Big Dreams Bootcamp - My First Million Edition… another magnum opus, another big dreams doorway awaiting.

The holding patterns and hall-passes

If you’ve ever felt like you’re in a holding pattern, waiting for a breakthrough. The big dreams breakthrough is mostly likely locked inside the magnum opus you’re thinking of making after you “make it”!!! Do you get what I mean!?

The hallway of big dreams, waiting for the big dream to happen so you can finally sit down and write that magnum opus you’ve been meaning to write. It doesn’t work like that.

Bringing this code to my 40s, I can see that there was so much of me ‘waiting’ to write the book I’m writing now… Dreamspo: The 7 Stages of Manifesting Big Dreams…. when the kids were older. Funny how there’s always this one day and some day complex we have. Even with my kids being older, that 3 hours to write a day window is definitely there, but there’s a million other things I can do and I do them (sometimes).

If I could go back and tell my 30s self those projects you think you’ll have all the time in the world to do later, you won’t, do the ones that matter… now.

The closer the door, the stronger the resistance.

I’m in it again as I write this. Deep in the resistance, this time with Big Dreams Bootcamp. True to form, the closer I get to the end of it, the louder the voice gets telling me to quit, this is too much, no one cares. Not because the project has gotten harder. Because I’m nearing the end… getting closer to the Big Dreams Doorway…

The magnum opus you’re resisting

So let the cat out of the bag with me. What is the project you’re procrastinating on that could be quietly holding back your ability to see your next big dream? Not the quest, not the vision, but the magnum opus you want to make but you understand how much energy it’s going to take to make.

Finish it.

Finish it if only to see the big dreams doorway that’s behind it.

So that once and for all you can bring the stuff to the surface so it can be shifted.

When you do it with a set timeframe, you are not being reactionary. You are being responsive. You are responding to your money energy by doing it daily, as required and desired, and getting out ahead of it. Not waiting for the mood or sign. Doing it daily, on purpose, so that you are the one setting the pace of your own money field instead of chasing it.

THE DECLARATION

A declaration is not a promise you make to anyone else. It is a promise to yourself.

eg. I declare that I show up every single day and do the damn work, no matter what.

Every day, no matter what, and then the real question becomes:

what does that physically look like? Not “yeah, I showed up, I kind of did the Dollar Diaries.” A before and after documented. Your journal filled up. Sharing on socials.

Because $Diaries is not something that is always pretty and always fun to do. We get to do this through all of the flows, all of the ebbs, all of the highs, all of the lows, all of the ups, all of the downs. Not just when money is coming in and sales are streaming and it’s easy to love. All of it. That’s the deal.
