I want to take better care of my body instead of constantly putting myself last.

I want to work out consistently.

I want to gain healthy weight and build a body that feels strong, nourished and feminine. I want to eat in a way that supports my body.

I want to look in the mirror and see someone who is taking care of herself. I want my outside to begin reflecting the healing happening on the inside.

I want to feel good in my body again.

My Smile

I want to smile again.

A real smile.

The kind that isn’t hidden.

I want to prioritize my dental work and fix my teeth.

I want to become comfortable laughing without thinking about how my smile looks.

I want pictures of myself smiling.

I want videos of myself smiling.

I want to stop hiding one of the most beautiful parts of me because I don’t feel perfect yet.

I am allowed to smile while I’m becoming…

My Creativity

I want to stop hiding.

I have ideas

I have stories.

I have personality.

I have perspective.

I have something to say.

And I am tired of keeping it behind the camera.

By January 1, 2027, I want to be comfortable showing my face.

Creating content.

Talking

Writing'

Sharing.

Experimenting.

Being seen.

I don’t need to look perfect, I don’t need to have the perfect body, I don’t need perfect teeth, and I don’t need to have everything figured out.

I need to Show Up!!!

My Purpose

I want hobbies that aren’t just distractions. I want hobbies that bring me closer to my purpose.

I want to read.

Create.

Write.

Learn.

Explore.

Build.

Move my Body.

Develop Skills.

The things I’ve never tried before. I want to become curious about myself again. I want to discover what I’m naturally good at. I want to find things that make me lose track of time.

I want my free time to start feeding the woman I am Becoming instead of distracting her from her purpose.

My Love Life

This one scares me and that’s exactly why I am putting it here.

I want to allow myself to date Taurus.

I want to experience what this connection can actually become without letting fear make every decision for me. I want to stop assuming that something beautiful must eventually hurt me.

I want to learn how to receive consistency and I want to communicate instead of retreating. I want to maintain my boundaries without building walls. I want to be intentional without being afraid.

Most Importantly - I want to allow myself to fall in love again.

Not recklessly

Not blindly

Not by abandoning myself but openly.

I want to experience love from a healthier version of me. I want to see what happens when I don’t run simply because something feels real.

I want to let someone love me while I am still healing And I want to remember that protecting myself doesn’t always mean keeping out.

Sometimes it means learning who is safe enough to let in.

My Money

I want to completely change my relationship with money. I don’t want to constantly wonder where my next dollar is coming from.

I want skills.

I want assets.

I want businesses.

I want intellectual property.

I want digital products.

I want content that generates income.

I want multiple streams.

I want to understand how to monetize my creativity and my knowledge.

I want to build Blueprint and Beauty; also JessBeHonest.

I want to create opportunities instead of constantly waiting for someone to give me one.

My target is to build toward $10,000-$25,000.00+ monthly.

Not because I want to impress people - Because I want FREEDOM

I want options.

I want security.

I want to be able to take care of myself and the people I love.

I want to wake up knowing I created something that pays me.

I want my ideas to become income.

My Mind

I want to trust myself. I want to stop overthinking every decision. I want to stop allowing fear to convince me that I'm incapable.

I want to become better at regulating myself when uncertainty shows up. I want to notice my old patterns before they take over. I want to respond instead of react.

I want to stop making decisions from the version of me that is terrified of losing everything. I want to make decisions from the woman who knows she will be ok either way.

I want inner security.

My Identity

By Jan 1, 2027, I want my identity to sound like this:

I Am Healthy.

I Am Creative.

I Am Disciplined.

I Am Financially Ambitious.

I Am Emotionally Intelligent.

I Am Spiritually Connected.

I Am Lovable.

I Am Worthy of Healthy Love.

I Am Visible.

I Am Confident.

I Am Capable.

I Am A Creator.

I Am A Businesswoman.

I Am A Woman who follows through. I Am A Woman who doesn’t need to become someone else to deserve the life she wants.

I Am Jessica And I Am allowing Jessica to take up space.

My January 1, 2027 Self

When I wake up on January 1, 2027, I want to be able to look at myself and know ..

I took care of my body, I started working towards a healthier weight.

I prioritized my smile.

I created even when I was scared.

I showed my face.

I developed new interests.

I learned new skills.

I made money from my own ideas.

I built multiple income streams.

I allowed myself to experience love again.

I didn’t let fear make every decision.

I became more disciplined, confident and Peaceful.

I became more ME - Most Importantly - I have Evidence.

Evidence that I can change.

Evidence that I can create.

Evidence that I can love again.

Evidence that I can be seen.

Evidence that I can make money.

Evidence that I can take care of myself.

Evidence I can keep Promises to Myself.

The Promise

I am not demanding that January 1, 2027 Jessica has everything figured out.

I am asking her to be unrecognizable n the ways that matter.

I want her to have more confidence.

More discipline.

More health.

More joy.

More money.

More creativity.

More courage.

More love.

More faith in herself.

I want her to look back at September 1, 2026 and say:

“Thank you for FINALLY Choosing Me!”

So this is my Commitment

For these four months I will stop waiting for the perfect version of my self to begin living.

I will build her now.

One workout.

One meal.

One smile.

One video.

One post.

One skill.

One dollar.

One idea.

One boundary.

One brave decision.

One day at a time.

September 1, 2026 - Lock In

January 1, 2027 - I Meet Her.

And in-between these dates

Jessica becomes Jessica

ReIntroducing Myself To Friendships 💕

Friendship.

Jess Be Honest

Friendship.

It’s one of those words that sounds simple until you’ve lived long enough to understand how complicated it can become.

Thanks for reading! But after everything I’ve experienced, I’m starting to understand that friendships aren’t supposed to require me to abandon myself either.

So, Im Reintroducing Myself to Friendship.

Just like everything else in this season of my life, I’m learning that my way I used to do things doesn’t necessarily belong in the life I’m building now.

Friendship Looks Different From This Side of Growth 🌟

Ive always been someone who cared deeply about the people I called my friends.

When I Love someone, I love them.

I don’t know how to do things halfway:

I’ll show up

I’ll Listen

I’ll encourage you

I’ll defend you

I’ll celebrate you

I’ll check on you.

And if you need me there’s a good chance I’ll try to figure it out how to be there - Even when Im exhausted overwhelmed or dealing with things on my own.

But I’ve had to ask myself:

Who is there for me when I’m the one who needs someone?

Not because friendships should be transactional, I don’t believe in keeping score.

But there is a difference between keeping score and recognizing reciprocity. I don’t want friendships where one person is always pouring and the other is always receiving. I don’t want to constantly wonder whether someone actually values me.

I don’t want relationships where I have to make myself smaller, quieter, easier, or more convenient just to maintain the connection. I want friendship to feel like a place where both people can breathe.

I Had To Learn That People Can Love You & Still Not Be Able To Meet You Where You Are 🌟

This has been a difficult one because sometimes there isn’t a villain. Sometimes nobody did anything unforgivable. Sometimes two people simply grow in different directions. And that doesn’t make everything that happened between them fake. Ive had friendships where the love was real.

The memories were real.

The history was real.

The connection was real.

But somewhere along the way, Something changed.

Maybe our priorities changed.

Maybe our commitment changed.

Maybe our expectations changed.

Maybe one of us needed something the other wasn’t capable of giving; And ive had to learn that history doesn’t automatically equal compatibility. Just because Ive known someone for years doesn’t mean I have to remain the same version of myself to keep the friendship alive.

That’s the hard truth

Especially when you’re someone who values loyalty.

I’m Learning The Different Between Loyalty & Self-Abandonment 🌟

For a long time, I thought walking away from a friendship meant I wasn’t loyal. I thought if I loved someone, I had to keep trying.

Keep explaining.

Keep forgiving.

Keep reaching out.

Keep making excuses.

Keep giving chances.

But I’ve started realizing that sometimes what we call loyalty is actually fear.

Fear of losing someone

Fear of being misunderstood

Fear of being alone.

Fear that if we stop trying we’ll become the villain in someone else’s story.

I’m not interested in living my life based on fear anymore. I can love someone and still acknowledge that the friendship isn’t healthy for me. I can appreciate our history and still recognize that we’re no longer aligned. I can miss someone and it still create distance, and I can walk away without making them a bad person.

Sometimes relationship simply reach a place where continuing them requires too much of you. And I’m no longer willing to pay for connection with my peace.

My Family Has Taught Me About Friendships, Too. 🌟

Family and friendships may look different on the surface, but ive learned that some of the same principles apply. I’ve had to learn that loving someone doesn’t mean giving them unlimited access to me.

That applies to family

That applies to friends

That applies to anyone

I use to think boundaries were something you established when someone had done something terrible. Now I under that boundaries can simply be a way of protecting what you’re building.

My peace

My time

My energy

My emotional space

My healing

The woman I’m becoming

And sometimes the people closest to you will have the hardest time adjusting to your boundaries because they’re accustomed to the version of you who didn’t have them. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re bad people, but it does mean the relationship may need to change. I’ve become okay with that..

I’m Not Trying To Be Everyones Safe Place Anymore 🌟

This one might be uncomfortable to admit and I’ve spent a lot of my life being the person people come to.

The helper.

The listener.

The advice caller.

The person who can handle it.

The person who understands.

The person who will probably forgive.

The person who will show up.

And there’s beauty in the being that person.

But I’ve learned that being needed isn’t the same thing as being loved. That’s the lesson I never want to forget. I don’t want friendships where my value comes from how much I can do for someone. I don’t want to be loved because I’m useful, I want to be loved because I’m Me.

Not because I solved something.

Not because I showed up when nobody else did.

Not because I made myself available every time someone needed me.

Just Me.

And I want to offer that same freedom to my friends. They don’t have to perform for me either.

And Then There Are The People We Once Loved Romantically 🌟

This is another complicated part of friendship. Can you REALLY be friends with someone you once loved romantically?

Sometimes.

Sometimes not.

Ive learned that there isn’t one universal answer. There are people I’ve loved romantically who I may genuinely wish well but don’t need in my life anymore. And then there are situations where two people may eventually find a different kind of relationship after romance end, But friendships after love requires Honesty.

You have to ask yourself:

Am I actually capable of being their friend, or am I secretly hoping friendship will lead us back to what we were?

Am I staying connected because I genuinely value this person or because im afraid to completely let go?

Can I respect their life if it move =s in a direction that doesn’t include me romantically?

Shiiit.. Can they respect mine? 🙄👀🗣️🤷🏾‍♀️

Those questions matter; because sometimes calling something friendship doesn’t make it healthy. Sometimes it’s simply attachment wearing a different name. And I’ve learned that I don’t want to force friendship where there needs to be distance.

Sometimes the most respectful thing two people can do for each other is go their separate ways. And sometimes, with enough time, healing and honestly, a completely different kind of relationship can exist.

But it can’t be forced.

My Growth Will Affect My Friendships 🌟

I’m realizing that my growth isn’t happening in isolation. When I change, the relationships around me change too.

The way I communicate changes.

The things I tolerate changes

The amount of access people have to me changes.

My priorities change.

My energy changes.

And that means some people may experience me differently.

Someone might say: “You’ve Changed”

And Yea, maybe I did 🤷‍♀️

Someone might feel like I’m distant. Maybe I’m simply learning not to overextend myself. Someone might wonder why I don’t respond the way I used to. Maybe 🤔 I’m finally responding from a healthier place instead from an old wound. Someone might feel like I’m not as available.

Maybe I’m finally making myself available to myself.

And I have to accept that my growth may not always be comfortable for everyone. That doesn’t mean I get to hurt people and call it healing ❤️‍🩹. I still have a responsibility to communicate.

To apologize when I’m wrong.

To listen.

To take accountability.

To be honest.

But accountability doesn’t mean returning to old patterns just because someone is uncomfortable with the new ones.

I Want Friendships That Can Grow With Me 🌟

I don’t need perfect friends, I don’t need people who agree with everything I do. I don’t need friendships without conflict. I actually think healthy friendships should have room for disagreements.

What I want is Emotional Maturity. I want friends who can say “That hurt me” and allow me to say “I understand , let me hear you”

I want friendships where apologies aren’t weapons.

Where boundaries aren’t punishments.

Where communication isn’t considered confrontation.

Where celebrating each other doesn’t turn into comparison.

Where someone's growth doesn’t threaten your identity.

Where we can genuinely want each other to win.

I want friendships where we can grow separately without becoming strangers.

Where we can have our own lives and still make room for one another.

Where we don’t have to compete for attention, love, success, or importance.

I want friendships that feel like “I’m happy you’re becoming more of yourself” not “You’re becoming someone I don’t recognize, so I need you to go back.”

I’m Learning That Some Friendships Have Seasons 🌟

This night be one of the hardest things for me to accept. Not every friendship is meant to last forever, Some people come into your life for a season. Some come for a lesson, Some walk beside you for years and some walk beside you a few months.

Some people may leave your life and return later as completely different people.

I’ve spent too much time thinking that an ending automatically meant something went wrong. Now I’m learning that sometimes an ending is simply an ending.

It doesn’t erase the good.

It doesn’t invalidate the memories.

It doesn't mean the friendship wasn’t meaningful.

It simply means something Changed.

And I’m learning to let things change without always trying to resurrect what used to be.

I Want To Be A Better Friend, Too 🌟

This Chapter isn’t just about what I expect from other people - It’s also about who I’m becoming as a friend. Because growth would mean nothing if I only used It to create a list of things everyone else needs to do differently.

I have things to work on.

I know I do.

I can be sensitive.

I can become emotional.

I can expect people to understand what I’m feeling before I’ve actually communicated it. And sometimes I may have hurt people while I was trying to protect myself.

I’m learning to acknowledge that without beating myself up. I don’t need to be perfect to be accountable.

I just need to be honest enough to say “I could’ve handled that differently”

That’s Growth too.

Reintroducing Myself To Friendships 🌟

So who am I as a friend now?

I’m still loyal.

I’m still caring.

I’m still the person who wants to see the people I love win.

However, I'm learning that loyalty doesn’t require Self-Abandonment. I’m learning that friendship doesn’t require constant access. I’m learning that boundaries don’t mean I love people less.

I’m learning that I can care deeply without carrying everything. And I’m learning that I don’t have to keep every person I’ve ever loved in my life simply because we once mattered to each other.

Some people will remain.

Some people will change.

Some people will leave.

Some people may return.

And Some relationships may become something completely different than what they once were. I’m learning to let that happen without forcing, chasing, and guilt. Without making myself responsible for everyone's feelings.

I’m finally understanding that healthy relationships aren’t built by one person doing all the adjusting. They’re built by 2 or more people being willing to meet each other honestly.

As I reintroduce myself to friendship, that’s what I want to offer.

Not perfection.

Not endless availability.

Not a version of myself that exists to make everyone else comfortable.

Just honesty.

Reciprocity.

Grace.

Boundaries.

Communication.

And love that doesn’t require either person to disappear.

I’m still learning.

I’m still growing.

I’m still becoming.

Maybe that’s the most honest thing I can say about friendships right now. I’m not looking for more people, I’m looking for more aligned relationships. Relationships where I can fully be myself. Relationships whee I can grow. Relationships where I can love without losing myself. Relationships where the people I love don’t have to lose themselves either.

I’m no longer interested in simply having people in my life, I want to build a life where the people beside me can grow, heal, laugh, change, and become more of themselves

While I become more of Me too! 🥳❤️🧚🏾🥳

-❤️Always

Thanks for reading! After everything ive experienced ive lost, everything ive learned, and everything im still healing from ive had to ask myself a question.

What does love actually mean to me now?

Because the answer today isn’t the same answer I would have given 5years ago, or 2years ago or HELL even 6mths ago.

I’ve Changed.

Love Doesn’t Look The Same To Me Anymore:

I used to think love meant staying

Staying through the hard times

Staying through disappointments

Staying when I was confused

Staying when I was hurt

Staying because I believed leaving meant I didn’t love someone enough. I thought Love was proven by how much I could endure.

Now?

I’m learning that Love isn’t measured by how much pain I can tolerate.

Love is also Honesty

Love is Accountability

Love is Boundaries

Love is Consistency

Love is Respect

Love is knowing when to hold on and knowing when to let go. Sometimes, Love is giving someone the freedom to be exactly who they are - Even when they are no longer fits into the life you’re building. I’m learning that loving someone doesn’t mean I have to abandon myself to keep them. Choosing Yourself is The MOST loving thing you can do.

I had to Rethink Love in Family:

My relationship with Family has forced me to look at love differently, too. For a long time and being the Eldest Daughter I believed that because someone was family, I had to keep the door open no matter what happened behind it.

I thought forgiveness meant pretending nothing happened. I thought seeing boundaries meant I was being difficult. But I’m learning that family doesn’t get a free pass to hurt you simply because you share DNA.

Im learning that I can love people from a distance. I can care about people without giving them unlimited access to me. I can forgive someone and still decide that the relationship needs to change. I can wish someone well and still choose peace over proximity and that’s been one of the hardest lessons for me. When you change the way you love yourself, it can change the way other people experience you.

The version of me who used to overextend herself may have been easier for some people to love. The version of me who stayed quiet may have been more convenient.

The Version of me who tolerated things to keep the peace may have made other people more comfortable. But I’m not that woman anymore. And I have to accept that my growth may make some people uncomfortable.

That’s not necessarily a sign that I’m doing something wrong.

Sometimes it’s simply proof that the relationship was built around a Version of me that no longer exists.

Friendship Has Taught Me about Reciprocity

I’ve had to rethink Friendships too, I’ve learned that being a good friend doesn’t mean always being available. It doesn’t mean constantly explaining yourself, And It doesn't mean being the only one who reaches out.

Friendship, like any other relationship, requires Reciprocity. There should be room for both people.

Room to grow.

Room to change.

Room to communication.

Room to make mistakes and repair them.

And sometimes, Room to admit that you’ve outgrown each other.

I’ve learned that I didn’t want relationships where I constantly have to question whether im wanted. I don’t want to beg for consideration. I don’t want to feel like im asking for too much simply because im asking for the bare minimum of mutual care. I want and do currently have friendships that feel safe enough for honesty. I want and do currently have friendships that are strong enough for boundaries and mature enough to survive growth.

And Then There’s Romantic 🥰 Love

Romantic Love is where things get complicated, Because I’m still learning and I'm still healing ❤️‍🩹. Im figuring out what love looks like when I’m no longer operating from fear of losing someone.

The Two Year Chapter has been apart of that lesson too.

We found ourselves reconnecting after everything we’d been through, and for a moment, I was open to seeing what that connection could look like from the people we’d become. But sometimes reconnecting doesn’t mean returning. Sometimes it’s simply an opportunity to see something with clearer eyes.

I approached that chapter differently than I had before. I wasn’t trying to force an outcome or convince myself that history automatically meant we belonged together.

I was paying attention.

To the energy.

To the actions.

To the things that aligned and the things that didn’t.

And eventually, I had to make a choice that wasn’t necessarily easy, but was necessary for me.

I chose to walk away.

There were things that happened within that reconnection that made me realize I could no longer participate in the same dynamic. So I made the decision to close that door completely and go our separate ways. This time, I wasn’t walking away because I didn’t care, I walked away because I finally cared enough about myself to recognize when something wasn’t healthy for me anymore.

That distinction means EVERYTHING to me. I used to think that walking away meant love had failed. Now I understand that sometimes walking away is what Self-Respect looks like. Sometimes closure isn’t a mutual conversation.

Sometimes you don’t get the apology, the explanation or the accountability you hoped for. Sometimes you have to create your own closure by deciding that you’ve seen enough. And I’ve learned that I don’t need someone else to agree with my boundary for it to be valid.

I don’t need someone to understand why I chose peace.

I don’t need them to see the situation the way I see it.

And I don’t need to keep a door open simply because there was once love on the other side of it.

Some people are chapters.

Some are lessons.

Some are mirrors.

And some relationships teach you exactly what you will and won’t carry into the next season of your life.

The Two-Year Chapter taught me that in can love someone, appreciate what we shared, acknowledge my own mistakes, and still decide that the relationship is no longer where I belong.

I’m learning to be okay with that, because sometimes the most loving thing you can do isn’t to stay.

It’s FINALLY letting go.

My Growth Will Affect People

This might be one of the hardest truths I've had to accept:

My healing will affect the people around me, When I stop over explaining, someone may feel shut out. When I stop chasing, someone may feel like I don’t care. When I stop accepting certain behaviors, someone may feel like I’ve changed.

When I become more intentional with my energy, Someone may wonder why they don’t have the same access to me anymore.

And The Truth Is… I have Changed.

And No, I don’t think that’s a bad thing either.

I’ve spent too much of my life worrying about my choices make other people feel while ignoring how their choices made me feel. I’m not saying I don’t care about the impact I have on people.

I do.

I want to be considerate.

I want to communicate.

I want to take accountability when I hurt someone. But I NO longer want to confuse accountability with Self abandonment. I can acknowledge someone’s feelings without making their feelings my responsibility.

I can most certainly can love someone while still choosing what is healthy for me.

Re-Introducing Myself to Love Means Re-Introducing Myself To Choice

Maybe that’s what This Season is really about - Choice

I get to choose how I love now.

I get to choose who has access to me.

I get to choose what I participate in.

I get to choose what I walk away from.

I get to choose what I repair.

I get to choose what I release.

I get to choose whether I respond from an old wound or from the woman I’ve became. And that’s where I see the BIGGEST difference in myself. I’m not trying to be perfect. I’m trying to be intentional.

Before, I might’ve asked: “How do I keep this person?” Now I’m asking: “Is this relationship healthy for both of us?”

Before, I might’ve asked: “What do I need to do so they don’t leave?” Now: “What do I need to do so I don’t lose myself?”

Before, I might’ve thought: “If I love them, I have to stay.” Now: “If I love myself, I have to be honest.”

And sometimes that honesty will bring people closer.

Sometimes it will create distance

Sometimes it will repair relationships.

Sometimes it will end them and sometimes, it will change the relationship into something neither person expected. I’m Learning to be ok with that. Love isn’t supposed to be about controlling the outcome.

It’s about showing up honestly.

It’s about being willing to grow.

It’s about allowing people to be human.

It’s about understanding that we are all responsible for our own healing.

And it’s about recognizing that love without Self-Respect isn’t love I want anymore.

I Am Re-Introducing Myself to Love

I’m still learning how to love this Version of me.

The woman who has boundaries.

The woman who says no.

The woman who needs time.

The woman doesn’t have all the answers.

The woman who can miss someone without running back to them.

The woman who an love someone and STILL choose herself.

The woman who is learning the peace isn’t boring.

That consistency isn’t asking for too much.

That emotional safety isn’t a luxury, and that being loved shouldn’t require me to constantly prove that I’m worthy of staying.

Im Re-Introducing Myself to Love

Not the love I was taught to accept.

Not the love I thought I had to earn.

Not the love that requires me to disappear inside of someone else’s needs, But a love that allows me to remain fully myself. A love that has room for boundaries.

Room for growth.

Room for accountability.

Room for mistakes.

Room for repair.

Room for freedom.

Im Still Becoming, So I don’t know exactly what love will look like for me tomorrow. I just know what it looks like today. Today love looks like choosing Myself without guilt. It looks like loving my family without abandoning my boundaries.

It looks like being a friend without losing myself.

It looks like allowing an old love to exist in a new way without forcing it to become what it used to be.

And it looks like giving myself permission to take my time, because I’m no longer in a rush to be Chosen.

I’m learning how to Choose and maybe that’s what Reintroducing Myself to love really means.

I’m not learning how to love again, I’m learning how to love without losing myself.

With Love ❤️

Thanks for reading! Not to blame yourself for everything that happened. Its another thing entirely to sit with yourself and acknowledge the participation n the cycle, the ways you ignored your intuition, the boundaries you didn’t have, the ones you had but didn’t enforce, and the moments when you knew better but weren’t yet ready to do better.

The 6 Year Cycle & The 2 Year Chapter

One was a Relationship that existed in cycles. We loved each other, We hurt each other, We separated, We found our way back. And then, eventually , we did it all over again. For 6 Years, we lived in the space between love and dysfunction, connection and chaos, attachment and release.

There were beautiful moments

There were painful moments

There were moments when I genuinely believed we could finally get it right.

And there were moments when I knew, deep down, that we were repeating a cycle neither of us had truly learned how to break.

Looking back now, I can see that I wasn’t only attached to the person. I was attached to the history. To the memories, to the potential. To the version of us I kept hoping would eventually become reality. Sometimes, I think we confuse familiarity with compatibility.

We think because someone has known us for years, they must be meant to stay in our lives forever. But sometimes a person can know you deeply and still not be capable of giving you the kind of relationship you need. Sometimes love is real, but the relationship is still unhealthy. And sometimes the hardest thing you can do is accept that the story you spent years trying to rewrite has already reached its ending.

Eventually, I had to close that cycle.

And closing it wasn’t bout deciding that the other person was all bad or that I was all good. It was about finally accepting that the dynamic between us was no longer something I wanted to carry into the next chapter of my life. I had to take responsibility for my own participation in the chaos. I had to acknowledge the ways I stayed when I should have left. The ways I reacted instead of communicated. The ways I allowed my emotions to make decisions that my wiser self probably wouldn’t have made.

The ways I confused being deeply connected to someone with being deeply aligned with them. I can own my part without taking responsibility for someone else’s. And that’s a lesson I had to learn the hard way.

The Two Year Chapter

Then there was This Man, This relationship was different. There was love, There was communication. There was a genuine desire to make things work. But sometimes two people can care deeply about each other and still come into a relationship carrying pieces of lives they haven’t completely released.

We both had attachments to previous chapters.

Old relationships.

Old emotions.

Old patterns.

Old versions of ourselves.

And while we tried to detach from the things that no longer aligned with who we were becoming, we eventually realized that we couldn’t build something healthy while still carrying so much unfinished emotional weight.

So we ended the relationship.

Not necessarily because there was no love. But because love alone isn’t always enough to create alignment.

Sometimes you have to step away from something you care about because you need the space to become someone who can actually participate in the relationship n a healthier way. And that’s where this chapter gets interesting. In Rare moments endings aren’t as permanent as we think they are.

We’ve since reconnected.

We’re talking again

But this time, the energy is different.

There is no rushing.

No forcing.

No pretending that everything is magically fixed because we found our way back to each other. We’re taking things slowly, and ive been honest about where I am.

Im healing ❤️‍🩹

Im rebuilding

Im getting myself together - for real this time.

Im learning who I am outside of relationships.

Im learning how to sit with myself.

How to regulate my emotions.

How to trust my own decisions.

How to stop abandoning myself just to keep someone else close.

Before I can responsibly enter another relationship, I need to know that im not looking for someone else to complete the parts of me that haven’t taken the time to heal. If our paths continue to cross, I want it to be because we’re both choosing each therefrom a healthier place - not because we're afraid to let go.

Thats the difference between attachment and alignment. And Im learning that difference now.

The Part Where I Take Responsibility

One of the biggest lessons Ive learned from these relationships is that I have to take responsibility for the role I played. Not blame, RESPONSIBILITY. There’s a difference.

Blame says “Everything that happened is someone else’s fault.

Responsibility says “I can’t control what someone else did, but I can be honest about what I accepted, what I tolerated, how I responded, and what I need to do differently moving forward.” And when I look back at both relationships, I can see things more clearly now.

I can see where I ignored My intuition.

Where I stayed attached to potential.

Where I accepted inconsistency because I was emotionally attached. Where I tried to love people through things they needed to work through themselves. Where I expected someone else to give me the emotional safety I hadn’t yet learned how to create within myself.

I can also see where I wasn’t the healthiest version of myself.

I was sometimes reactive, Sometimes hurtful, Sometimes emotionally overwhelmed, And sometimes operating from old wounds instead of present reality.

And I can OWN that.

I don’t have to hate myself for who I was in order to become someone new. That’s something im finally understanding. My past self deserves compassion, too. She’s was trying to love with the tools she had at the time.

What These Relationships Taught Me

Ive learned that chemistry isn’t the same as compatibility.

History isn’t the same as alignment.

Love isn’t the same as emotional safety.

And missing someone doesn't necessarily mean you should go back to them.

Ive learned that you can love someone and STILL choose Yourself.

You can appreciate what a relationship taught you without needing to return to the version of yourself you were when you were in it. Ive learned that closure doesn’t always come from another conversation. Sometimes closure comes from finally understanding why you kept going back.

Ive learned that I can’t keep asking other people to meet me in places im not willing to meet myself. And I’ve learned that the relationship I have with myself will influence every relationship I have with anyone else.

That’s why I’m taking this time. Not because I’ve given up on love. Not because I don’t want companionship. Not because I believe I’ll be alone forever. Im taking this time because I want to get myself together FOR REAL.

I want to know who I am when nobody is choosing me.

I want to know that I’m still whole when someone walks away.

I want to be able to love without losing myself.

I want to communicate without exploding.

I want to trust without abandoning discernment.

I want to set boundaries without feeling guilty.

I want to stop confusing chaos with passion.

And I want to enter my next relationship as a woman who is emotionally available, self-aware, healed enough to love responsibly, and secure enough to walk away from anything that requires me to betray myself.

RE-INTRODUCING MYSELF TO MYSELF

Maybe that’s what this season is really about; Re-Introducing Myself to Myself and eventually, reintroducing myself to others. Because I’m not the same woman I was 6years ago. I’m not the same woman I was 2years ago. Hell! I’m not even the same woman I was 6months ago.

I’ve changed.

I’ve grown.

I’ve lost people.

I’ve loved people.

I’ve made mistakes.

I’ve broken my own heart.

I’ve had my heart broken by others.

I’ve stayed too long.

I’ve left too late.

I’ve gone back when I should have kept walking.

But I’ve also learned. So now, I’m choosing to take everything I’ve learned and build something different.

I’m entering a season where I trust myself more than I chase certainty.

I’m becoming softer yet stronger.

Patient yet powerful.

Open yet discerning.

And fully committed to creating a life rooted in peace, purpose and self-respect.

The 6 Year Cycle taught me how to recognize a cycle, The 2 Year Chapter taught me that sometimes love requires space, honesty and patience.

And this season of my life is teaching me something even greater: Before I can fully reintroduce myself to someone else, I have to reintroduce myself to me.

I need to know who I am now.

What I want now.

What I will accept now.

What I will never accept again.

And most importantly, I need to become someone I can trust.

Because at the end of the day, The Most important relationship I’m Rebuilding isn’t with an ex.

It’s with Myself ❤️💕❤️

Thanks for reading! The path shaped by everything you were taught to tolerate, everything you were expected to forgive, every role you were assigned, and very version of yourself you had to become just to survive.

The Other Path Is Unfamiliar..

The quieter.

The terrifying.

And It's Yours.

I think I'm finally standing at the crossroads.

For the first time in my life, I'm looking at the path I’ve been walking and asking myself a question I should’ve asked a long time ago; “Do I actually want to keep going this way?”

Not because its familiar.

Not because we're related.

Not because I’m supposed to.

Not because I’m afraid of what people will say if I choose myself..

But because I genuinely want to.

And the truth is… I don’t.

I’m tired of carrying things simply because they were handed to down to me. I’m tired of believing that blood automatically means loyalty, access, forgiveness, and unconditional acceptance. I’m tired of feeling like I have to keep doors open for people who have never made me feel safe walking through theirs.

And maybe that’s the part of breaking generational cycles that nobody talks about. Sometimes you don’t break the cycle by fixing the family. Sometimes you break it by refusing to continue it.

You stop 🛑 explaining.

You stop 🛑 chasing.

You stop 🛑 accepting disrespect because someone shares your DNA.

You stop 🛑 confusing familiarity with love.

And you finally give yourself permission to say: THIS ENDS WITH ME 🌟

Ive spent a lot of my life trying to find my place within my family, trying to understand why I felt so different. Trying to understand why I could be surrounded by people and STILL feel alone.

Trying to understand why I could watch other people receive the love, support, and celebration 🥳 I longed for while I felt I was standing outside looking in.

For years, I thought maybe if I tried harder, loved harder, explained myself better, or became easier to understand - Something would finally change. But I’m realizing now that sometimes the greatest freedom comes when you stop 🛑 waiting for people to become who you needed them to be.

You accept what is - And then you choose what comes next.

That doesn’t mean I don’t have love in my heart, it doesn’t mean I don’t care, and it doesn’t mean I don’t acknowledge the fact that these ppl are connected to me by blood 🩸.

It means I finally understand that blood is not the only thing that makes someone family.

Family is Safety.

Family is Reciprocity.

Family is Showing up.

Family is being able to exist without constantly questioning whether you’re wanted. Family is love that doesn’t require you to abandon yourself to keep it, And I want that kind of family.

Even if I have to build it, Even if it looks completely different from what I grew up knowing. Even if it means creating a chosen family made up of people who genuinely see me, love me, support me, and celebrate the woman I am becoming.

I am no longer interested in forcing myself to fit into spaces that require me to shrink.

I am no longer interested in maintaining relationships simply because im afraid of what happens when I let go. I am no longer interested in carrying the weight of an outdated version of myself, just because it’s the version everyone else is comfortable with.

I’m 38 Years Old ❤️

I am finally realizing that I have the right to choose My Life.

Not the life I was born into, Not the life I was conditioned to accept, And definitely 💯 not the life other people expect me to live.

MY LIFE!!

Maybe that’s what this New Season of my life is really about, Maybe moving to Atlanta wasn’t just about changing my address. Maybe it was the beginning of changing my identity. Maybe I had to physically remove myself from everything familiar before I could finally see how much of my life had been built around surviving instead of living.

Now Im learning how to LIVVVVVVVVVE!!!!!

I’m learning how to choose Peace without feeling guilt.

I’m learning how to set boundaries without explaining them until I'm exhausted.

I’m learning that walking away isn’t always failure.

Sometimes walking away is the first step toward freedom. And As I step into this new path, I know I can’t take everything with me. Some relationships won’t come, Some versions of myself, some beliefs, some survival mechanisms, and some expectations won’t be able to come with me.

And that’s Okay…

Because The Woman I’m becoming needs room to breathe. She needs room to grow, She needs room to create, and needing room to build something new.

I REFUSE to keep dragging the old life behind me just because I'm afraid to walk forward without it.

So this is where I am now… At the Crossroads.. Looking back at the path I came from and looking ahead at the path I’ve chosen. I don’t know exactly where this new path will take me.

I’m so excited to find out!!!!

I wasn’t meant to spend the rest of my life trying to repair the life I was handed. Maybe I was meant to create something completely different. Maybe the greatest gift 🎁 I can myself and the generations that come after me is to become the first person who say;

“We don’t have to keep doing it this way.” So I’m choosing a different path.

I’m choosing Myself.

I’m choosing Peace.

I’m choosing Freedom.

I’m choosing relationships that feel like love instead of obligation.

I’m choosing to build a life that feels like mine and whatever I have to lave behind to become that Woman.

I am willingly to let go - Because the old path brought me here. But it doesn’t have to take me any further.

The Old Path Ends With Me.

With Love,

Jess Be Honest.

Thanks for reading! I don’t judge that version of me anymore. Not because she has all the answers, but because she’s finally learned to listen to her own voice.

The Woman I Am becoming doesn’t chase people who don’t choose her. She understands that real connection doesn’t have to be forced. To ask for help when she needs it. To stop believing that strength only looks like carrying everything alone.

The Woman I Am becoming still has hard days, She still doubts herself sometimes. she catches old habits trying to pull her backwards. Not pretending to be someone else - but by giving myself permission to become more of who I already was.

This journey hasn’t been easy, it has required courage, honesty, tears, uncomfortable conversations and letting go of the old versions of myself that no longer fit.

If you would ask me whether id do all this again

The answer is HELL YES!!

Because every step has brought me closer to the woman I've always hope to become.

And the Beautiful Part? The Most powerful angle isn’t that I’m 38 - It’s that I’ve realized It’s not too late to create a life that feels aligned with Who You Are. Starting over at 38 wasn’t a part of the original plan.

Neither was Moving to Atlanta

Neither was a rebuilding my life from the inside out.

Maybe that’s because the life I was trying to hold onto was never meant to be my Forever. I’ll be honest, Starting over has been exciting and terrifying.

Somedays I’ve felt Unstoppable

Somedays I’ve questioned everything

I’ve wondered if I’ve made the right decisions, Ive worried about money and I’ve doubted Myself. Some days it simply looked like getting out of bed and CHOOSING to keep going.

As I slowed down I noticed something else beginning to shift.

MY ENERGY!!!

The Things that once Drained me became easier to Recognize

The Conversations that left me Feeling Heavy

The Environments that no longer Felt like Home

The Habits that kept me Stuck in Old versions of Myself

At the same time I found Myself drawn toward things that made me feel grounded.

More Quiet

More Intention

More Gratitude

More Honesty with Myself.

I stopped asking “What do other people expect from me?” and started asking “What Helps me feel MOST like Myself?”

That Question Changed EVERYTHING!!

Healing isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about uncovering the person you’ve always been underneath the fear, the pain, and the Expectations.

Moving to Atlanta didn’t heal me - It gave me the space to commit to my healing. The tools didn’t do the work for me. They simply helped me stay connected to the Woman I was becoming.

Maybe that’s The BIGGEST Energy Shift of all - I no longer wake up trying to prove My Worth; I wake up Protecting My Peace.

If you’re on your own Healing Journey, Remember this:

You don’t need to have all the answers today

You don’t need to heal all at once

Just choose one thing that brings you back to Yourself.

Then CHOOSE it again Tomorrow ❤️

Healing isn’t built in giant leaps, it’s built in small, loving decisions that eventually become a new way of living.

Thanks for reading! Even when nothing was wrong I couldn’t fully relax. My Mind kept searching for the next crisis and My body stayed tensed. I mistook being constantly “on” for being Productive.

Looking back, I wasn’t just tired, I was exhausted from living in survival mode. Moving to Atlanta didn’t magically erase everything I’d been through. But it gave me something I hadn’t experienced in a long time.

Space

Space to Slow down

Space to Breathe

Space to Notice what my body had been trying to tell me for years.

I began paying attention to the little things, the moments when my shoulders finally relaxed and the mornings I woke up without immediately feeling overwhelmed . The days I laughed without waiting for something bad to happen afterward. Those moments seemed small but to me they were huge. They remind me that healing isn’t always loud.

Sometimes healing sounds like a deep breath

Sometimes it looks like saying No without guilt

Sometimes it’s allowing Yourself to rest instead of proving how much you can carry.

Ive learned that regulating My Nervous System isn’t about becoming calm every second of every day.

It’s About giving myself permission to return to calm after like feels overwhelming.

Some days I still struggle

Some days Old fears resurface

Some days I catch Myself slipping back into survival mode. Now I notice and noticing is where Change begins. I’m learning that Peace isn’t something I have to earn. Real isn’t Laziness, Slowing down isn’t Failure and Choosing Myself isn’t Selfish.

So for the first time in a little over 25yrs My body is beginning to believe what my heart has been hoping for all along. That I’m Safe, That I don’t have to fight every battle and That I don’t have to carry everything alone - That its okay to build a Life that feels Peaceful instead of constantly Proving Im Strong enough to Survive.

Maybe that’s What moving to Atlanta really gave me. Ive Learned that Chemistry isn’t the same as Compatibility. That Attention isn’t the same as Intention. that someone liking me doesn’t automatically mean they’re meant for me. And just because I can see someone’s Potential doesn’t mean its my Job to wait for them to become it.

One of the Hardest Lessons Ive had to learn is that Not everyone who enters My life is meant to stay. Some people arrive to Teach Me what I deserve, While others arrive to teach me what I’ll never Accept again. Neither role is Easy, but both have been Necessary.

I’ve also learned that loneliness is a poor reason to Lower my Standards. There was a time when I was confused being Chosen with being Valued.

Today, I Promise You I Know The Difference.

I don’t need someone to Complete me, I want someone who Compliments the Life I’m already building. That’s why this Season of My life looks Different.

I’m Not Rushing into Relationships

I’m Not Forcing Connections.

I’m allowing friendships to develop naturally, and if some thing grows from that, Beautiful. If It doesn't, that’s perfectly fine too. Healing has taught me that love shouldn’t require me to abandon myself. I shouldn’t have to shrink, over-explaining, chase, or convince some one to see my worth. The right connections won’t require me to betray my peace just to keep it alive.

Moving to Atlanta didn’t just change my surroundings, it changed my standards. I’m no longer dating from a place of Fear. I’m dating from a place of Self-Respect. And that means I’m okay with walking away from anything that doesn’t align with The Woman I’m Becoming.

Maybe that’s the BIGGEST lesson of all.. The Goal isn’t to find love at ANY COST.. The Goal is build a life I genuinely love and allow the right people to meet me there.

If you’re reading this while questioning your own dating experiences I hope you remember this:

Every relationship doest have to last forever to be Meaningful, Sometimes the lesson is the Gift. And Sometimes Choosing Yourself is to the healthiest Love Story you’ll ever write. ✍️ ❤️ 💕 💝

Thanks for reading! What Beliefs about Myself have I been carrying that were never mine to begin with? What Patterns am I repeating because they feel familiar, not because they’re healthy? What would it look like to become The Parent my Inner Child needed?? That Last Question Changed Everything.

I can’t Rewrite my Childhood.

I can’t go back and make Different choices for the Adults who raised me.

But I can Choose how I Create for Myself today.

I can Speak to Myself with kindness instead of Criticism.

I can Create a home that feels Peaceful.

I can Rest without Guilt.

I can Celebrate my Wins instead of Minimizing them.

I can Protect my Peace with Healthy boundaries.

I can Become A Safe place for Myself.

Healing Parental Wounds hasn’t meant forgetting, it hasn’t meant Pretending nothing happened. For Me, it has meant refusing to let old pain decide who I become.

Some days healing feels like Forgiveness.

Some days it feels like Grief.

Some days it simply feels like waking up and Choosing Myself again.

And Maybe that’s what Healing ❤️‍🩹 really is.

Not becoming someone who was never hurt, But becoming someone who is no longer defined by those hurts.

If you’ve been carrying childhood wounds into your adult life, I want you to know this:

You are allowed to acknowledge Your Pain without letting it become Your Identity.

You are allowed to build a life that looks Different from the One you came from.

You are allowed to Choose Peace, even if Peace wasn’t what You grew up with.

My Story didn’t end with what happened to me, It continues with what I Choose to do now. They’re Doors 🚪

And Finally learned that not everyone deserves a Key 🔑

Before Moving to Atlanta , I spent years abandoning myself to make other people comfortable. I answered calls when I was exhausted, I explained Myself when I didn’t owe explanations. I tolerated disrespect because I didn’t want conflict and I stayed accessible to people who weren’t available for me.

I called it Kindness

I called it Understanding

I called it Loyalty.

But if I’m being Honest, a lot of it was Fear. Fear of disappointing people, Fear of rejection, Fear of being misunderstood and Fear of being alone. When I started healing, I realized boundaries aren’t about controlling other people. They’re about Protecting Yourself and in Real Life, boundaries don’t always look pretty. Sometimes boundaries look like not answering the phone, Sometimes boundaries look like saying “No” without providing a 5 page explanation. Sometimes boundaries look like ending conversations that drain you. Sometimes boundaries look like leaving rooms where your presence isn’t valued and Sometimes boundaries look like blocking access to people who continuously disrespect your Peace. People who benefited from your lack of Boundaries usually don’t.

That realization change everything for me, I stopped feeling guilty for Protecting My Energy. I stopped apologizing for needing space, I stopped shrinking Myself to fit into relationships that required me to Betray myself.

And Let Me Be Clear…. Boundaries don’t mean I love People Less..They mean I Love Myself Too. Today My Boundaries look like Protecting My Peace. They look like Not entertaining relationships that feel forced. They look like Choosing friendships that flow naturally instead of connections built on Obligation. They look like Honoring my need for Rest. They Look like walking away from situations that trigger the Version of Me I’m trying to leave behind. They look like Trusting my Intuition when something feels off.

Most Importantly, My Boundaries look like understanding that access to me is a Privilege not an Entitlement. That statement would’ve made the Old Me uncomfortable. The Old Me thought Self-Sacrifice was Love. The New Me understands that Self-Respect is Love too.

Moving to Atlanta didn’t just change my Address, It Changed my Standards, It Changed what I Allowed and It Changed what I Accept. And while some people may not understand those changes, I’m Finally okay with that.

The Life I’m building requires Boundaries not to keep Love out, but to Make Sure Peace stays in.

Thanks for reading! That’s exactly what happened when I moved to Atlanta. At First, I thought I was just changing locations. What I didn’t realize was that I was shedding an identity I had carried for years.

The Version of Me that survived, The Version of me that kept waiting for permission to choose herself and The Version of me that settled. Looking back now, there were Signs everywhere that I had Outgrown My Old Identity.

The 1st Sign was that what used to excite me no longer did. The Conversations felt Repetitive, The Environments felt Heavy and The Routines felt Suffocating. I wasn’t Unhappy because some thing was wrong. I was unhappy because I had Grown.

The 2nd Sign was that I stopped fitting into spaces I once belonged in. I found Myself feeling disconnected from people, habits, and situations that used to feel familiar. At first, I thought something was wrong with me.

Maybe I was Changing too much, Maybe I was becoming more Difficult or Maybe I was expecting too much from life. But the Truth was much Simpler.

I Was Evolving

And Evolution often feels Lonely before it feels before it feels Liberating.

The 3rd Sign was that my Intuition became louder than everyone else’s opinions. For Years, I sought Validation. I wanted reassurance that my dreams made sense and I wanted people to understand my vision before I acted on it.

Then Something Shifted.

I realized that the people assigned to my journey couldn’t hear what my spirit was telling me. Their fears weren’t my Future, Their Limitations weren’t my Destiny and Their Doubts weren’t my Truth.

The 4th Sign was that Peace became more Important than Proving Myself. I no longer wanted to argue, and I no longer wanted to chase Acceptance.

I Wanted Peace.

Real Peace

The Kind that comes from being aligned with Yourself. The Kind that allows you to sleep at night knowing you honored your own needs.

Th Biggest Sign of All???

I stopped recognizing the Person I used to be. Not because I hated her, Not because She wasn’t Ready, But Because She Completed her Assignment. She survived things that were meant to break her. She carried burdens she never should have had to carry.

She Got Me Here -And for that I will ALWAYS be Grateful. But She wasn’t meant to come with me into this next Chapter. The Woman Im becoming requires Different Habits.

Different Standards

Different Boundaries

Different Beliefs.

And While that transition hasn’t always been easy, it has been necessary. Moving to Atlanta wasn’t just a Relocation, It was Declaration. A Declaration that I Deserved More.

More Peace

More Alignment

More Joy

More Life.

So If you’re reading this and feeling disconnected from who you’ve been, Maybe that’s not a Problem.

MAYBE ITS A SIGN

A Sign that you’ve Outgrown you're Old Identity and are being called into something greater.

Trust It !!

You’re Next Shift May be waiting on the other side of who you’re willing to Become.

Thanks for reading! If im being completely honest, moving to Atlanta scared the hell out of me. Not because fear has a way of disguising itself as Logic.

Fear will convince you to stay in places you’ve already outgrown. It will tell you to remain in situations that drain you because least they’re familiar. It will make you believe that struggling in the Known is somehow safer than thriving in the Unknown.

Thanks for reading! My Intuition kept Whispering “Its time to Go” But Fear kept Screaming “What if You Fail?, What if I left everything I knew behind and regretted it? What if Atlanta wasn’t what I thought it would be?”

Truth is, I didn’t have every answer before I packed my life into my Duffle Bag and Left Philadelphia. Thank God for My Sis Naii She Sent me a Life line down to Atlanta and We are doing Atlanta together.

I simply had a feeling, A Knowing, A deep pull in my Spirit that refused to leave me alone. My Intuition wasn’t giving me a 5yr plan. It wasn’t showing me every step of the journey. It was only asking me to Trust the Next Step.

That’s where Most of Us get stuck. We want Certainty before moving, We want Guarantees before we leap and We want Proof before we Trust Ourselves. But Intuition doesn’t work that way.

IT ASKS FOR FAITH 🌟

Looking back now, I realized my fear wasn’t trying to protect me from Atlanta. It was trying to protect me from Change. And as We all Know, Change requires you to release old versions ourselves. The Version of Me that constantly doubted herself. The Version of me that settled. The Versions of me that kept choosing survival over Peace. Atlanta hasn’t magically solved all my problems, it has given me something Priceless. Proof that I can trust Myself, Proof that I don’t need permission to start over and Proof that my Intuition was never leading me astray.

Everyday im here, Im learning that the life i’ve been praying for exists on the other side of my Comfort Zone.

And Maybe that’s the Lesson. Fear will always have Something to say.

Intuition Speaks from a Place Fear can Never Reach. Your Soul already Knows Where You’re meant to go.

The Question is :

Will You Trust It?

Thanks for reading! Some think it was for opportunities. Some think it was because Atlanta is the place to be.

While those things played a part, none of them are the real reason. The Truth is, I moved because I could no longer grow in the same environment that was breaking me. For years, I was surviving instead of Living. I was carrying the weight of old relationships, family wounds, disappointments, financial struggles, self doubt, and the version of myself that everyone expected. me to be.

I had become comfortable with being uncomfortable. Comfy with settling, comfy with shrinking myself so other people could be comfy around me. And One Day, I realized something. If I stayed where I was I would continue repeating the same cycles.

The same Pain

The same Excuses

The same Fears

The same Version of Me.

Atlanta wasn’t just a move across state lines. It was a decision to choose Myself. For the first time in along time, I stopped asking everyone else what they thought I should do and started listening to my Own Voice.

Was I scared? Absolutely!

I Left behind Familiarity

I Left behind Certainty

I left behind The Version of Myself that had learned how to Survive.

But Survival is not the same thing as Living.

Atlanta represents possibilities for me; not because this city magically changed my life, but because I finally became willing to change my life.

EVERYDAY HERE HAS CHALLENGED ME.

Some Days have Been Beautiful

Some Days have Been Lonely

Some Days have Forced me to face parts of myself I thought I had already healed. But Every Single Day has brought me closer to the Woman I’m Becoming. I didn’t move to Atlanta to run away. I moved to Atlanta to run towards myself.

Toward Healing

Toward Growth

Toward Purpose

Toward Peace.

Although My Journey is far from over, I can honestly say this: Moving to Atlanta may be one of the Scariest decisions I’ve ever made. However, was also One of the Best!

This is Chapter 1.
