Hello Atlanta!

Now, Atlanta, the polls open in eight weeks. Eight weeks ‘til Early Vote. Eight weeks ‘til you can cast your ballots to save our republic. Atlanta, turn to your neighbor and say, “Eight weeks.” Say, “Lock in.” Because the country’s counting on us, Atlanta.

And the crowds I’ve seen over the last year and a half at rallies like this one — decent folk from all walks of life, in living rooms and backyards across our state, our coalition of Democrats, independents, and Republicans, and the volunteer army already knocking thousands of doors each week — all leave no doubt that Georgia’s about to make history again.

Now, I know many of you are here today because you just can’t stand what’s been done to our country. Our government made a tool of one man’s vengeance, power, and wealth. Prices soar while the president rakes in billions. Cancer patients lose insurance while the rich get another tax cut.

We’re plunged deeper and deeper into another reckless war. Private prisons full of families grow in size and squalor. The Justice Department and even our intelligence agencies are twisted to serve this president’s vendettas.

But in eight weeks, Atlanta, in eight weeks we can cast our ballots and say, “Enough. Is. Enough.”

In eight weeks, we will vote to rebuke him so decisively that no president will dare such abuses again for centuries, Atlanta. In eight weeks, we’ll vote to elect a Medicaid-expanding Governor Bottoms to end our state’s health care emergency.

And between now and then, I need you to work, Atlanta, not for my sake, not for the sake of the Democratic Party, but for the sake of our state and our country.

Because, see, some people just happen to live at times and in places where history is made. And this year, once again, that’s us.

Now remember, he promised to lower prices on day one. Do you remember that? And I want the president’s remaining supporters to hear this, because it was all a lie.

Under Donald J. Trump, it costs more than ever to stock your fridge, to power your home, to make a cup of coffee, to buy school supplies for your kid or a tractor for your farm. Gas is up 30% since inauguration. Diesel 47%, coffee 35%, ground beef 23%.

They doubled your health insurance premiums and slashed Medicaid to cut taxes for their corporate donors and the ultra-rich.

They made you pay more for everything and took us to war on lies and spent most of last year trying to cover up for the world’s most famous pedophile while the crook president and his crook family raked in billions. While your tax dollars were put to work backing Trump’s businesses.

See, they are literally the elites they pretend to hate. Enough. Is. Enough!

Now, he promised to lower prices on day one. He also promised peace and gave us war. Now in its sixth month, they drained our stockpiles to achieve nothing. Iran still has its uranium. Hormuz is still closed. And it was all lies. 18 brave Americans killed in action.

Remember, last year they claimed Iran’s nuclear program had been obliterated. Then this year they claimed it posed an imminent nuclear threat. Both times, lies.

On day one of the war, the president said the war was, “Ahead of schedule.” On day four, he declared victory. Today is day 170.

And did y’all see Hegseth in front of that Committee?

Listen to this: On day nine of the war, the incompetent Pete Hegseth guaranteed Iranian surrender. On day 14, he claimed Iran’s military had been destroyed. On day 40, he said every single objective had been achieved. That was four months ago.

They’ve lied non-stop about this war like they lie about everything, and they know they’re lying, but they lie, and they keep lying anyway, because in this White House, they view persistence in deceit as a virtue.

And there’s something uniquely despicable about lying a nation into war, treating citizens as fools and those who serve as pawns.

Aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, they’ve now been at sea for 240-plus days without a port call. It’s a Navy record. And still they serve with excellence. God bless the sailors, Marines, aviators, and all aboard the United States Ship Abraham Lincoln.

See, they don’t expect luxury. They’ll endure hardship. But they deserve competent leaders who send them into combat only when necessary and with decisive clarity of purpose, not fools who lie about the purpose and progress of war.

And while the sailors on the Lincoln fight his war, while he fruitlessly drains our munitions and oil reserves, the president sleeps through his meetings. He golfs and trades stocks. See, he doesn’t want to do the job; he wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace, gifted by the Emir of Qatar.

And above all, Donald wants to get money.

How much have you heard about the president’s stock trading?

When he first announced the tariffs, you remember that? He called it “Liberation Day.” And it crashed the markets, because it was clown policy. Do you remember that?

Okay, so follow me through on this. He announces the tariffs on April 2nd of last year. The markets tank nonstop for like a week, because it’s a disastrous trade policy.

And six days into the crash, April 8th, Trump buys millions in stock — I’m talking Amazon, Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, Berkshire Hathaway — and then the very next morning, April 9th, he posts on Truth Social, “This is a great time to buy!!!” Three exclamation marks.

Okay now listen to this: Three hours and 41 minutes after that post, one day after he bought millions in stock, he cancelled the tariffs and triggered one of the biggest same-day rebound rallies in market history. He’s trying to get money.

And you saw now he’s offering paid subscriptions to presidential announcements, right? Just understand what’s for sale here: The sitting president’s pronouncements on war and peace and economic policy, delivered first to paying customers. What an absolute crook.

And speaking of crooks, not a lot of people know this, but Congressman Mike Collins is literally one of the most active crypto traders in the entire Congress, House or Senate.

Now remember, Mike’s already under federal investigation for illegally funneling tax dollars to his violent staffer’s girlfriend for a no-show job. Do you remember that?

But Mike Collins also repeatedly broke the law hiding his crypto trading. Because he’s like a scandal piñata. Every time you shake him, more misdeeds fall out.

The Mar-a-Lago mafia really has taken American corruption to spectacular new heights, but corruption in American politics runs a lot deeper than Donald Trump.

And, see, I get why people voted for him, because even before he came on the scene, American politics was coin-operated. Money’s in, favors out. It’s been running on corporate money, secret money, billionaire money. Both sides.

And when members of Congress aren’t fundraising from lobbyists and corporate PACs, they’re just trying to dodge getting bombed by these super PACs.

So, spectacular wealth buys an ever-greater share of power over our national affairs. And this corruption is why nothing works for ordinary people. It’s why you pay a fortune for prescriptions.

It’s why your insurance company gets away with denying your cancer treatment. It’s why we’re promised progress, and we get more of the same.

So many broken promises. We were promised tax cuts for the rich would grow the middle class. We were promised Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. We were promised fairness, only to see banks bailed out while millions lost their homes. Do you remember that?

We were promised hard work would earn wealth and advancement, but for too many the treadmill gets faster and steeper. Georgians work harder and longer, but the bills just get higher and higher.

A 60-hour workweek still needs SNAP. Santa can’t make your little girl’s wish come true this year. That bucket list trip is off the table for good.

And the corporate disrespect is suffocating. Instead of reading to your child that precious spare hour after work, you’re on the phone fighting your bank or the cable company.

After a cancer diagnosis, you can’t fight the cancer ‘til you fight your insurance company while they try to deny you the care you need. A toddler’s ambulance is followed by a $3,000 bill.

So Trump promised to attack a broken system. I get it. Ripe target. Yes, the system is really rigged. But he’s not unrigging it. He’s re-rigging it for himself.

So how do we unrig American politics? Well first, follow the money. Citizens United was the most destructive Supreme Court decision in modern American history.

And see, Donald Trump’s rise is a symptom of all of this. And I suspect many of you are here because you recognize that our task is not just to contain his wickedness, but to cure the rot that gave rise to it. That this broken moment is an opening, not for restoration, but for reformation.

Because who really supports allowing unlimited, secret political money to bend the nation’s agenda in darkness?

In Garden City or Albany or College Park, if I ask anyone — Democrat, independent, Republican, none of the above — if I ask them whether this is how things should work, it doesn’t matter who they are, the answer is “No.”

And Atlanta, if it takes a constitutional amendment to end Citizens United, we’ll deliver a united Georgia to ratify it.

Every day, our wave grows taller. Our tent grows bigger. Because this isn’t just a campaign for Democrats.

Folks come up to me at airports or on the street. They tell me they’re lifelong Republicans, but this year, for the first time, they’re voting for a Democrat.

The mayor of Valdosta, Scott James Matheson, a friend of mine, a conservative Republican, he’s backing this campaign. And when the storm hit, I was right there with him to check on folks, block by block, to serve meals and then deliver federal disaster relief.

Because that hurricane didn’t check party affiliation when it came to Georgia, and when it comes to serving Georgians, I don’t either.

And then up the road in Tifton, Mayor Julie Smith, another proud Republican who’s on this team. When her hospital needed new dialysis equipment, my office delivered it. When Tift County pecan farmers told me they needed help lowering foreign tariffs on Georgia pecans, I got it done.

I am grateful to Scott and Julie for their support, and there will be more bipartisan friends announcing their support in the weeks ahead because this is a campaign for everyone who craves sanity and competence and quality public service.

This is a campaign for decent folk of all stripes who love our state and our country and care for each other.

Every day I think about Congressman Lewis. His portrait hangs right above my desk in my Senate office. And even in his final months, he kept reminding us that we all live in one American house, that we all live in one world house. John Lewis called it the inevitable truth that we’re all members of one human family.

And I suspect many of you are here because you’re so deeply troubled by the pain so many of our fellow human beings are enduring right now.

The terror of a child watching ICE take away her mother. The despair of a cancer patient losing coverage mid-treatment. The silent panic of a grandmother when she sees the receipt for her groceries and then remembers there’s three weeks left until her next Social Security check.

And that ache in your heart, that pit in your stomach, that’s what reminds us we’re all in this together, that we’re not just one United States, we’re one united people. E pluribus unum. Out of many, one.

How amazing is it that the most powerful nation on Earth proclaims as our core values that all are created equal with inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, no matter how humble our beginnings, no matter our ancestry or when we arrived on these shores?

Because Americans aren’t a race. We’re a people. United not by ethnicity, but by shared convictions, and that is what makes us exceptional and a beacon to the world.

Because, see, here’s the truth that small men like Donald Trump and Mike Collins will never understand: That our national greatness flows, not through our blood or our genes, but through our ideas and our care for one another.

Mike Collins, the bigot congressman, surrounded at work and at home by neo-Nazis and white nationalists.

His office, briefing America’s most notorious white supremacists on their efforts to support a Holocaust denier. And we’ve seen some of those records, because they leaked, but Mike still refuses to release their communications in full.

So let me be clear, Mike Collins needs to release every email, every text, every call, every single communication between those white supremacists and himself or his Chief of Staff or anyone in his office.

And then there’s the neo-Nazi propagandist with a million followers producing neo-Nazi propaganda at Mike Collins’ house while producing promotional content for Mike Collins’ business. This is a real thing that happened, and Mike still refuses to answer whether his business paid the neo-Nazi or if he just accepted the neo-Nazi’s services as a gift.

The press asked him, and he ran away. Did you see it? He literally ran away from a press conference.

It was Mike Collins, alone standing in a field. A reporter asks if he paid the neo-Nazi. He won’t answer. Another asks if Mike endorses white nationalism. He won’t answer. Mike literally gets so scared you can see his hand shaking at the podium until he just flees.

A crumbling little bigot and the sad spectacle of a collapsing campaign.

Because see, Brian Kemp was right about Mike Collins.

There’s a reason Rick Jackson won’t commit to campaigning with Mike.

Why Brad Raffensperger won’t endorse him.

Why conservative WSB radio host Shelley Wynter called Mike a “bottom feeder.”

Why Coach Dooley condemned Mike’s, “blatant, taxpayer-funded corruption,” and said Mike’s, “disgusting behavior does not represent Georgia values, or frankly any values.”

Why Erick Erickson said that Mike, “knowingly hired a sociopath with a criminal record who’s alleged to have used your and my tax dollars to subsidize his girlfriend.”

There’s a reason one of the founders of the Tea Party said this summer, “I cannot in good conscience vote for Mike Collins.” He is “unfit for office,” and warned that Collins would, “drag down the whole Republican ticket in Georgia.” There’s a reason...

And that reason is Mike Collins is a known bigot under federal investigation for the illegal misuse of tax dollars, surrounded by neo-Nazis and white nationalists, widely known for his poor character and low integrity, who voted for war and voted to cut your health care and is unfit for any elected office.

By the way, if you think what’s come out so far about Mike is bad, believe me, there’s more and worse on the way.

Last week, just two weeks after he ran away from the neo-Nazi press conference, Mike got himself in trouble again when a man named Dominic Box came to a Mike Collins breakfast at a golf club in Savannah.

‘Cause see, Mr. Box is one of those who helped lead the attack on the Capitol on January 6th. Convicted on two felony counts. Pardoned by Donald Trump on day one.

Never let them forget: They hunted the vice president to kill him. They built a gallows on the Capitol lawn. They assaulted police officers with flagpoles and bear spray, and they tried to seize the presidency for Donald Trump.

And to this day, Mike Collins supports that violent attempt to overturn the election. He honors and defends them. He went to visit them in jail.

And at that Savannah breakfast last week, Mike told Mr. Box he wants to pay those violent criminals with your tax dollars.

They tried to seize the presidency.

And here we are in Fulton County, where the president sent his spies and his agents to seize your ballots. And why Georgia? Why this obsession with Fulton County?

It’s the same reason he’s obsessed with Philly. It’s the same reason he’s obsessed with Detroit. It’s because the fact that Black voters were instrumental to his defeat offends him even more than the defeat itself.

But how foolish of them to launch an attack on voting rights right here at the political and spiritual center of the very Black history they seek to erase.

And Atlanta, if Donald Trump thinks Georgia voters will be deterred or intimidated from exercising their voting rights, after all that was sacrificed to secure them, he will be dealt his most resounding defeat yet.

Because Georgia deserves better. Better than pro-war, pro-tariff, pro-cutting your health care Trump puppet Mike Collins. And America deserves better than Donald Trump.

Just think, 250 years on, what the founders would see if they visited us today. They’d see that slavery had been abolished. They’d see that Americans without land and then women and then the descendants of slaves had secured voting rights.

They’d see that our science and technology propelled human knowledge to unimaginable heights and that those thirteen colonies had grown into a superpower that defeated the Nazis and communism.

They’d see a pluralist democracy, people of all colors descended from every point on Earth, stitched together out of many nations into one.

But they’d also see a nation that, at the height of its wealth and power, fell into the very traps they most feared, consumed by bitter conflict between factions captured by special interests. Losing touch with the great national spirit that defeated fascism, with the spirit that landed men on the moon and passed civil rights laws.

They’d see that we did those great things, but then we succumbed to a small and self-serving politics, unmoored from fixed moral principles, incapable of great inspiration or national achievement, with no real horizon beyond the next election.

And, Atlanta, what’s required of us now is so much greater than what that small, self-serving politics can muster.

I’ve got two little girls at home. Eva’s four and Lila’s one, and I’m so grateful to this country for the security and the opportunity it affords them. But this isn’t the world I want to leave them. Soon enough they’ll learn there’s now plastic in human blood and breastmilk, that toxic forever chemicals are in half the country’s drinking water.

Eva loves animal documentaries, and she’ll learn that the butterflies are dying off. She’ll ask me why I allowed these things to happen. She’ll learn about the nuclear weapons that still threaten annihilation.

And when you step back and consider it, the situation is absurd.

Tech titans dig bunkers and warn us the new intelligence they’re training could lead to mass joblessness or human extinction, and our Congress debates ballrooms and youth sports.

We’ve amassed enough firepower to end the world a thousand times over, but we can’t summon the will to guarantee health care and pre-K.

I say all this to say that it’s the crushing weakness of our politics against the unmet needs of our people and the massive stakes of our times that’s shaking our faith in the future.

But, Atlanta, I refuse to leave my girls a world as dark and dangerous and cruel as this one threatens to become.

When Eva’s old enough to ask me why I let this happen, I’m determined to answer truthfully that I didn’t. I’ll tell her how the same year she turned five, Georgia stood up all together, all at once, and said, “Enough. Is. Enough.” I’ll tell her how we overcame every doubt and dirty trick, not just to win, but to set a new course for our state and our country and our world.

Because Atlanta, our power’s right there, just waiting for us to pick it up and use it. And a wave is building. The kind of wave that comes once a generation, when the people have been pushed too far and decide all together, all at once, to say what?

“Enough. Is. Enough.”

The polls open in eight weeks, Atlanta. Eight weeks. Atlanta, are you ready to work? Atlanta, are you ready to win? Thank you, God bless you, let’s get it done. Thank you so much.

Hello, Savannah. Thank you all so much for being here.

Now, I don’t know if you saw the mess in Washington last week. The President was so humiliated in Hormuz, he threw his toys out the stroller and refused to sign the affordable housing bill. Did you see that?

But wait, that’s after he gave some felon donor a no-bid contract for the Reflecting Pool, and it filled up with algae, which for some reason required the deployment of the National Guard. And then, because of his war and his tariffs, inflation rose to over 4%.

He promised to bring down prices on day one. Do you remember that? Do y’all know what today is? Today is day 524, and groceries, rent, and health care are at their all-time highs in American history.

Donald Trump and his puppet Mike Collins, they doubled health insurance premiums for more than a million Georgians and threw 300,000 Georgians off their insurance altogether. I heard from a woman with cancer who waits tables for a living and said she was going to lose her health coverage in the middle of chemotherapy.

And they did this to pay for a tax cut that went overwhelmingly to the rich and to corporate America. Did you know that, Savannah?

Savannah, I never want to hear these two pretend they give a damn about working people again. Because while hundreds of thousands of Georgians lose their health care, Mike Collins builds Trump a ballroom.

They worked harder burying the Epstein files than they ever worked to lower your grocery bill. And while you pay more for everything, the Trumps are raking in billions from all over the world.

Illegal tariffs, failed war, health care cuts, and unmatched corruption. 34% approval and a presidential legacy cemented in disgrace.

But he didn’t just promise to lower prices, he promised to keep America out of war. Instead, Donald’s defeat sent gas prices soaring and made America weaker and less secure.

And just like the Iraq War, the Donald Trump-Mike Collins Iran War is a war built on lies — lies about intelligence, lies about the war’s purpose, and lies about its progress.

Daily lies, hourly lies, lies and empty threats. Donald Trump said he would pick Iran’s next Supreme Leader, and, “There will be no deal except unconditional surrender.”

He said, “We’re going to destroy their missiles and raze their missile industry to the ground.” And at his most desperate, “A whole civilization will die tonight,” said the President.

And all the while, daily promises of total victory.

But the reality of the situation is brutal and undeniable. Because instead of unconditional surrender, the Iranian regime is emboldened. And instead of destroying Iran’s missiles, we burned through years of our own.

American facilities across the region were heavily damaged. Thirteen brave, heroic American service members were killed in action and hundreds more wounded.

And after all that, not only are Iran’s drones and missiles intact, along with their ability to throttle the global energy supply, Iran also still controls its stockpile of highly enriched uranium, a stockpile it only built after Trump shredded President Obama’s Iran deal. Do you remember that?

A decade ago, Donald Trump attacked President Obama for lifting some sanctions to secure nuclear inspections and restrictions on Iranian enrichment. This month, Donald Trump was lifting sanctions just to reopen Hormuz.

On Wednesday of this last week, he said the war was “done.” And then on Thursday, another ship was struck. On Friday, the President was bombing again. And last night Iran attacked Bahrain.

But see, this is what happens when you send your son-in-law Jared to cosplay as a diplomat. See, despite zero qualifications, Prince Jared was tapped to lead Middle East diplomacy. Now remember, Jared’s slush fund, Affinity Partners, already got $2 billion from the Saudi Crown Prince.

And even now, while negotiating for the United States over Iran and Gaza, he’s actively asking Arab princes for billions more, not for the United States, for his own business.

Okay, but here’s a twist in the story. There’s this beautiful little island off the Albanian coast called Sazan, and Jared Kushner wants it. So he took his Saudi billions, and he decided he and Ivanka would buy the island and build a luxury resort.

And then, like clockwork, just a few weeks after Trump wins a second term in the White House, Albania’s Prime Minister grants Jared’s company “Strategic Investor” status, so permitting and approvals are expedited to help the American prince develop his new island.

Now, this island is an Albanian national treasure, some of the last pristine coastline in the Mediterranean. Its waters were a National Marine Park, protected from development until Albania changed the law to let Jared Kushner build his resort.

And it turns out, Savannah, that ordinary Albanians are not fans of this arrangement. There are, right now, massive national anti-corruption protests, like tens of thousands of people in the streets of the capital, Tirana. They’re calling it the Flamingo Revolution, all sparked by opposition to Jared Kushner’s land deal.

Now Albania’s anti-corruption police are getting involved. They froze a bank account controlled by two of Jared’s investors, both Syrian billionaires.

Now, do you think Jared Kushner would get special island-buying privileges if he weren’t the President’s son-in-law? And isn’t he supposed to be doing diplomacy, not shady land deals?

And it’s not just Jared. Listen to this: The son of the other Middle East envoy is raising billions from the Emirates for the President’s crypto business, while the President grants the Emirates the rights to our most sensitive technology.

Your tax dollars are backing a Trump family tungsten mine in Kazakhstan.

They are literally the elites they pretend to hate. The same folks who tried so hard to cover up the Epstein files.

And listen, here’s the bottom line: If you’re involved in any of this, next year you’ll be raising your right hand and swearing to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God, in front of the United States Congress.

They act like they expect permanent impunity.

And it reminds me of my opponent, Congressman Mike Collins.

Listen to this: A few years back, this degenerate political staffer named Brandon Phillips had been convicted of multiple crimes in Bibb County for some brutal violence.

A few months later, he was arrested again for an armed altercation and then again, a few years later, for animal cruelty.

This kid was such a mess that he had to resign from the Trump campaign.

But Congressman Mike Collins saw Brandon and thought he’d make a great chief of staff. So Mike hired Brandon to run his entire congressional office.

Fast forward four years, and, as we speak, both Brandon and Mike are under active federal investigation for illegally funneling federal tax dollars to Brandon’s girlfriend.

Then last month Brandon starts mocking a rape victim on Mike’s official campaign account. And even then, Mike only fired Brandon after the head of a Republican Super PAC threatened to cancel tens of millions of dollars of support from Mike’s campaign.

So Brandon’s gone, and Mike Collins promotes a young man named Kip to be his new chief of staff.

But then it’s revealed Kip’s been briefing Nick Fuentes, the Hitler admirer, and Richard Spencer, the Charlottesville guy, on how he’s using Mike Collins’ office to free a Holocaust denier from prison. And Mike’s okay with this.

Kip’s still on the payroll. Because this is the same Mike Collins who saw a gang of young men harassing a Black, female college student with monkey sounds, and Mike Collins called it, “Ole Miss taking care of business.”

See, there’s a reason Brian Kemp worked so hard to stop Mike.

Why Erick Erickson said Mike “knowingly hired a sociopath with a criminal record who was alleged to have used your and my tax dollars to subsidize his girlfriend.”

Why conservative radio host Shelley Wynter called Mike a “bottom feeder.”

Hedge funds buy up houses till there are none left to afford, then rip off the renters they forced into tenancy. And how did they get away with it?

Well, we were promised a political system that delivers for the public, but instead it delivers for the donors. Citizens United was the most destructive court decision in modern American history.

It’s unleashed a flood of secret money, corporate money, billionaire money on both sides. And Donald Trump’s rise is a symptom of this deeper disease.

I suspect many of you are here because you recognize that our task is not just to contain his wickedness, but to cure the rot that gave rise to it. That this broken moment is an opening not for restoration, but for reformation.

Because who really supports allowing unlimited, secret political money to bend the national agenda in darkness? In Garden City or Albany or Columbus, if I ask anyone — Democrat, Republican, or none of the above — if I ask them whether this is how things should work, it doesn’t matter who they are, the answer is a resounding no.

And Savannah, if it takes a constitutional amendment to end Citizens United, we’ll deliver a united Georgia to ratify it.

Because all of this has real human consequences. Right here in Georgia, we’re in the midst of a health care emergency, and our so-called leaders try to numb us to the suffering they’ve caused. They’ve continued to block Medicaid expansion, while Georgia lost 21 hospitals in 20 years. And then last year they gutted Medicaid nationally.

Just listen to this: 40% of all Georgia kids are covered by Medicaid. 50% of all Georgia births are covered by Medicaid. 70% of all Georgia seniors in nursing homes are covered by Medicaid.

Already one labor and delivery unit in Georgia has closed citing those Medicaid cuts, with more pain coming for hospitals and clinics and nursing homes. So Georgians are getting hit with higher premiums, hundreds of thousands have lost coverage, and hospitals and clinics are losing funding.

All this when we already have the second highest uninsured rate in the nation. The third fewest mental health providers. The fourth worst newborn weight at birth.

See, the legendary civil rights leader Marian Wright Edelman said, “We don’t have a money problem. We have a profound values and priorities problem.”

Because, see, this isn’t just the way it is or the way it has to be. All this needless death and suffering and misery is a choice.

Georgia’s leaders have chosen to leave Georgians without insurance and without hospitals. They’re down having a steak at The Palm, handing out your tax dollars to their donors, while women hemorrhage in Georgia labor wards because they didn’t get prenatal care.

But, Savannah, when you elect a Medicaid-expanding Governor Bottoms in November, together we can get Georgians covered with great health care.

Together, we can save our hospitals and build new ones across our state. And when you send me back to the Senate, I’ll keep fighting to ban these insurance companies from denying or delaying our families the health care we need.

I think every day about Congressman Lewis, and his portrait hangs right above my desk in my Senate office. In his final years, he kept reminding us that we all live in one American house, that we all live in one world house.

John Lewis called it the inevitable truth that we’re all members of one human family.

And I know many of you are here because you’re so deeply troubled by the pain so many of our fellow human beings are enduring right now.

The terror of a child watching ICE take away his mother. The despair of a cancer patient losing coverage mid-treatment. The silent panic of a grandma when she sees the receipt for her groceries with three weeks left until her next Social Security check.

Now, maybe they don’t care in the White House, or in the Governor’s Mansion, but that ache in your heart, that pit in your stomach? That’s what reminds us we’re all in this together, that we’re not just one United States, we’re one united people. E pluribus unum. Out of many, one.

That we’re bound together by the same great national spirit that passed civil rights laws, that defeated fascism, that landed men on the moon.

And see, this is what small men like Donald Trump and Mike Collins will never understand — that our national greatness flows not through our blood or our genes, but through our ideas and through our care for one another.

How amazing is it that the most powerful nation on Earth proclaims as its core values that all are created equal, with inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, no matter how humble our beginnings, no matter our ancestry, or when we arrived on these shores?

Americans aren’t a race. We’re a people. United not by ethnicity, but by shared convictions, and that is what makes us exceptional and a beacon to the world.

Just think, 250 years on, what the founders would see if they visited us today. They would see that slavery had been abolished. They would see that Americans without land, and then women, and then the descendants of slaves had secured voting rights.

They would see that our science and discovery propelled human knowledge to unimaginable heights and that those thirteen colonies had grown into a superpower that defeated the Nazis and Communism. They’d see a pluralist democracy, people of all colors descended from every point on Earth, stitched together out of many nations into one.

But they’d also see a nation that at the height of its wealth and power fell into the very traps they most feared, devouring itself in bitter conflict between warring factions captured by special interests.

And they’d see a faithless President exploiting this rot to pursue the absolute power they overthrew. A President who’s embarked on this unmistakable project, not to lead us, but to rule us.

And here we are in Georgia, where he sent spies and agents to seize our ballots. Did you see that, Savannah?

Now, why Georgia? Why Fulton County? I submit to you it’s because the fact that Black voters were instrumental to his defeat might be even more offensive to this committed racist than defeat itself.

And now, here in Georgia, he wants to send an election denier to the U.S. Senate. Mike Collins, who’s pro-war and pro-tariff and pro-cutting your health care, he proudly defends the violent mob that sacked the Capitol on January 6th to throw out your votes and install a defeated President.

To this day, Mike Collins defends that violent attempt to prevent the peaceful transfer of power.

But Savannah, he forgets your power. Because not only did their attack on the Capitol fail, it was early that same morning five years ago that Georgia shocked the world and sent to the Senate the young, Jewish son of an immigrant and a Black pastor who holds Dr. King’s pulpit at Ebenezer Baptist Church.

You did that, Savannah.

And last week, when they gathered in Atlanta to remove Black elected officials from office, not by defeating them at the polls, but by manipulating maps to dilute minority power, they saw you mobilize, Savannah, and they backed down in fear of your power.

Savannah, a wave is building. The kind of wave that comes once a generation, when people have been pushed too far, and they decide all at once, all together, that enough is enough.

We have the power, not just to restore checks and balances, but to rebuke these abuses of power with such power and decision that no President dares try anything like this again for a century.

So, Savannah, let’s give them a united Georgia.

And let’s make sure they hear it all the way down at Mar-a-Lago that Georgia will bow to no king.

Donald Trump is a symptom of a deeper disease — a politics of legalized corruption that has infected the United States, especially since Citizens United.

I’ve seen it up close in Congress.

This is a system built to serve donors, protect incumbent Members of Congress, and exploit the public.

One of the clearest examples is the cost of prescription drugs.

For decades, drug companies have been ripping off Americans.

About one in three adults skips medications their doctor prescribes because they simply can’t afford them. Meanwhile, drug companies charge hundreds of times more than what it costs to produce these drugs.

How have they gotten away with it?

Take this example:

Back in 2003, Congress was creating Medicare Part D — a program intended to help seniors afford prescription drugs.

Big Pharma mobilized. They sent in an army of lobbyists and secured a key provision in the bill — one that prohibited Medicare from negotiating drug prices.

Other wealthy countries negotiate lower prices for their citizens. The United States banned it.

The result was predictable: American seniors ended up paying more than patients almost anywhere else in the world.

The congressman who championed the provision benefitting the industry, Billy Tauzin, left office right after it passed and took a job leading one of the industry’s most powerful lobbying groups, making over $2 million a year.

From a humble Congressman straight to running an industry lobby shop for $2 MILLION A YEAR!!

This is how our system has worked for a long time.

But it doesn’t have to. And it doesn’t always.

In 2022, I helped pass legislation that began to break the drug companies’ grip on Congress.

For the first time, Medicare can now negotiate drug prices. Out-of-pocket costs for seniors are capped at $2,000 a year. And insulin is capped at $35 a month for millions of Americans.

That doesn’t mean the problem is solved. But it proves that with enough political will, things can change for the better.

This system can be changed when there’s the will to change it.

If we can break the grip of corruption, we can build a politics that actually meets people’s needs instead of serving the wealthy and well-connected.

That’s a fight we have to win.

We’re told a story. Work hard. Play by the rules and you’ll thrive. No matter who you are or where you start, the grind will pay off.

But for too many, this story just isn’t true. Groceries. Rent. Insurance. Taxes. The car note. The power bill. The math doesn’t work.

No matter how hard you hustle, you can’t get ahead. The culture wars are exploited to divide us while insurance companies get away with denying our claims. While hedge funds buy up all the houses in our neighborhoods, while we have to pay $3,000 for an ambulance.

You aren’t the problem. Neither are your fellow Americans.

The problem is a corrupt and failing political system. The problem is that the people’s elected representatives don’t represent the people. They represent the donors and special interests.

Corruption is why things don’t work for ordinary people.

To fix it, we have to understand it. Corruption’s impact isn’t abstract. It shows up in our daily lives.

Take prescription drugs. The cost of medicine in America is astronomical compared to other wealthy countries.

About 1 in 3 American adults skip the medication their doctor prescribes because they can’t afford it. Drug companies charge hundreds of times what it costs to produce them.

But, how have they gotten away with it? Every election cycle, drug companies spend millions on campaign contributions to Republicans and Democrats to shape policy and protect their profits. And members of Congress fall in line.

It’s corruption in plain sight.

But nowhere was Pharma’s grip on Congress clearer than in 2003, when the industry corrupted legislation that was meant to make medications affordable. See Congress was creating Medicare Part D, a program meant to help seniors afford prescriptions. But drug companies moved quickly to protect their profits.

The industry mobilized an army of lobbyists to secure a key provision in the bill that prevented the federal government from using Medicare’s bargaining power to negotiate lower prices. Other wealthy countries, they negotiate to get a better deal for their citizens. Our Congress banned that, and the result was predictable.

American seniors ended up paying more than patients almost anywhere else. But the congressman who led the charge to protect Big Pharma, Billy Tauzin, he left Congress right after the bill passed to run one of the pharmaceutical industry’s biggest lobbying powerhouses, earning more than $2 million a year.

This is how the system has worked for a long time. But it doesn’t have to. And it doesn’t always.

In 2022, I helped pass a bill that finally started to break Pharma’s grip on Congress.

That doesn’t mean the problem is solved, but it’s proof the system can be changed when there’s the will to do it. This fight isn’t just about politics. It isn’t just about one man or one party.

It’s about power. Who has it and who our system serves. If we can break the grip of corruption, our politics can meet the people’s needs instead of serving the wealthy and powerful.

That’s a fight we have to win.

On Saturday, I rallied a crowd in Augusta to oppose this Administration’s unprecedented attack on our Constitution and the rule of law.

Hello, Augusta!

Augusta, are you ready to work? Are you ready to win? Who came here today because you love our country? Who came here today because you’re just a little bit mad? I feel you.

It is so great to be with you here in Augusta, home of Fort Gordon.

Now Augusta, I don’t know if you saw, but JD Vance was in Georgia this week. Don’t worry, no one showed up. The stadium was empty. Did you see that? But JD came to UGA to attack the Pope two days after Donald Trump depicted himself as Jesus Christ.

The faithless President depicts himself as Christ while he plunges the nation into wars of choice, while he and his family rake in billions from foreign princes, while he plunders our health care to cut taxes for the rich.

Meanwhile, rent, power, groceries, and health care have all hit all-time highs this year. Ground beef’s up 20% since Trump took office. Coffee, 40%.

Health premiums through the roof, and remember, while you pay more for everything, the First Family’s wealth is growing by billions of dollars. Because they’re crooks, and everybody knows it.

We were promised a Golden Age. Instead, the economy’s lost 75,000 manufacturing jobs just since Trump launched his big illegal tariffs.

Hiring’s at its lowest rate since 2020. Zero net private sector job creation for the past six months.

Here in Georgia, International Paper closed its plants in Savannah and Riceboro, more than 1,000 jobs gone. SK just laid off almost 1,000 workers at their EV battery plant over in Commerce because of this administration’s war on renewable energy.

Now we were told MAGA was for the working class. Do you remember that? But this is a government of, by, and for the ultra rich.

They are the elites they pretend to hate. That’s why they gutted Medicaid and let health insurance premiums double for more than 20 million Americans to fund another tax cut for the rich.

And did you hear what this man said two weeks ago? “It’s not possible,” the President said, “for us to take care of daycare, Medicaid, or Medicare.”

He said we can only afford to fund war, then released a budget demanding $1.5 trillion for the Pentagon next year alone, paid for by ending utility assistance for families, canceling affordable housing programs, and cutting cancer research. All to fund a huge increase for the military industrial complex.

Because draft-dodging Donald loves sending other people’s children to war.

Just two weeks into this war, the White House told us they’d need $200 billion to fund it.

Let me just put that in perspective for you. $200 billion would fund a decade — 10 full years — of nationwide, universal pre-kindergarten. Instead, a war no one voted for and no one can explain.

And the daily, the hourly, lying to the American public about why we’re at war, whether we’ve won, what’s been agreed to. Not to mention the insane genocidal threats.

Let’s review the record:

On day 10 of the war, the President said, “The war is very complete.” That was day 10.

Then day 11, “Going to be finished pretty quickly.”

Day 12, “We won.”

Day 21, “Getting very close.”

Day 32, “Leaving very soon.”

Day 40, “Total and complete victory.”

Yesterday, day 49, Trump said Iran had opened the Strait. Except this morning, the Strait was closed, and it looks like Iran hit a cargo ship.

Here’s what we know. Thirteen brave Americans killed and hundreds wounded. Thousands of civilians dead. Military equipment it will take years to replace. Skyrocketing inflation. Massive damage to our reputation and position in the world.

Meanwhile, Iran’s ballistic missiles and drones are not destroyed. We replaced Ayatollah Khamenei with Ayatollah Khamenei.

The regime is intact, along with its ability to throttle the global energy supply, along with its stockpile of highly enriched uranium, which it only assembled after Donald Trump shredded President Obama’s Iran deal. Do you remember that?

See, the Obama administration had done actual work led by actual diplomats. Trump literally sends his golf buddy Steve and his son-in-law Jared.

How much do you guys know about Jared Kushner, Ivanka’s husband? He’s on the Saudi payroll for $2 billion dollars. Did you know that?

And now he’s leading American diplomacy in the Middle East, apparently while at the very same time asking princes and sheikhs across the Arab world to give him billions more.

Don’t take my word for it. Look it up for yourself.

Can you imagine, like a normal sitting U.S. ambassador just hitting up Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for billions of dollars? But he’s a Trump, a royal, a princeling. The rules are for us, not for them.

And it’s not just Jared getting in on the action. A company owned in part by Eric and Don Jr. has been pitching Gulf kingdoms on its drone interceptors during this war.

The Financial Times reported, “Pete Hegseth’s broker looked to buy defense fund before Iran attack.” I tell you what, never before have we seen so little effort to hide so much corruption.

The Mar-a-Lago mafia has taken American corruption to spectacular new heights, but corruption in America runs a lot deeper than Donald Trump. Because how does American politics really work?

It’s coin-operated. Money goes in, favors come out. It’s been running on secret money, corporate money, billionaire money. Both sides. Citizens United was the worst court decision in modern American history.

It’s why members of Congress don’t listen to the people; they listen to their donors. And this corruption is why insurance companies get away with denying your claim for a procedure you needed to save your life.

This corruption is why Big Tech’s still allowed to spy on us and track our every move and sell our private lives to the highest bidder. This corruption is why the ultra rich get tax cuts while you pay more for everything.

And beneath it all, a lazy, cynical expedience in Congress and in both political parties, serving donors and reciting poll-tested talking points with no higher purpose than winning the next election.

A politics unmoored from fixed moral principles and incapable of inspiration or great national achievement. And all of this gave rise to a depraved President who exploits this rot to empower and enrich himself.

But Augusta, it doesn’t have to be this way.

Everywhere I go across our state, no matter their political party, people are telling me they’re desperate for change and for new ideas. The young couple expecting their first child who wonder how they’ll afford a crib and a stroller, let alone a first home, and their health insurance just went up $1,000 a month.

The student working through college who still needs food stamps to make rent, whose conscience can’t stand their tax dollars being used to lock up immigrant children at home or to kill innocent children overseas.

The South Georgia farmer whose costs rise and earnings fall each year, whose kids have left the family farm, who had to wait almost two years for federal aid after the hurricane. See, they want us to solve problems, and it’s no mystery what problems need solving.

Right at the top of our list here in Georgia is our state’s health care emergency. And it’s an emergency that some of our so-called leaders try to dress up as normal.

They try to numb us to the suffering they’ve caused. They’ve continued to block Medicaid expansion, while Georgia’s lost 21 hospitals in 20 years.

Last year, they gutted Medicaid nationally, and already one labor and delivery unit in Georgia has closed, citing those Medicaid cuts, with more pain coming for hospitals and clinics and nursing homes.

And then, the Affordable Care Act cuts, which caused nearly a quarter of a million Georgians to lose insurance in the first three months of this year.

All this, when here in Georgia we already have the second highest uninsured rate in the nation, the third fewest mental health providers, the fourth worst newborn weight at birth.

Just wrap your head around this: When you’re born in the state of Georgia, your life expectancy is shorter than if you’d been born in Lebanon, a country that’s been in a state of intermittent war for decades.

And now consider that our state’s economy, just our state, is 40 times larger than Lebanon’s national economy, but they’re living longer than us.

The legendary civil rights leader Marian Wright Edelman said, “We don’t have a money problem. We have a profound values and priorities problem.” Because this isn’t just the way it is or the way it has to be.

All this needless death and suffering and misery is a choice. Georgia’s leaders have chosen to leave Georgians without health insurance and without hospitals. So let’s stop pretending those responsible are competent, serious people.

They’re over in Atlanta, having a steak at The Palm, handing out your tax dollars to their donors, while women hemorrhage in Georgia labor wards because they didn’t get prenatal care.

And then the insurance companies that fill their campaign coffers are allowed to deny and delay the health care Georgians need.

The Monroe County mother of three with cancer, denied a liver transplant, who had to fight her insurance company while being told she had just six months to live.

The retired Georgia teacher who’d paid $100,000 into a cancer policy, only to be diagnosed with cancer and then have her claims denied.

True stories. And just the tip of the iceberg.

The thousands of Georgia children denied health care by insurance companies, many of them foster children, while in the last few years, the State of Georgia threw tens of thousands of kids off health insurance altogether.

No child in Georgia should be turned away from the doctor because they don’t have health insurance.

No child in Georgia should have to go without a checkup or be denied the hearing or dental or vision or mental health care they need to be happy and healthy and to thrive.

How can we say we’re doing right when children are being turned away from the doctor, when insurance companies deny Georgia kids and Georgia families care they need, when state officials turn a blind eye to the abuse and mistreatment of Georgia’s foster kids, some of whom are literally trafficked while in the care of the State?

All of this, the corruption, the callous neglect, and needless suffering signal not just a political crisis, but a moral one.

I look at the agenda in Washington today, advanced by so many who drape themselves in the banner of righteous faith, and I ask, where in scripture are we commanded to deny care to the sick?

To take from those with the least and give to those with the most? To hunt down the refugee and take her from her infant child?

But our task is not just to contain this wickedness, it’s to repair the brokenness underneath it.

Today’s small and self-serving politics has distanced us from the great national spirit that defeated fascism, that landed men on the moon, that passed civil rights laws.

And yet last week, while our President flailed in the Strait, the American spacecraft Artemis, with four heroes on board, returned humanity to the far side of the moon, recalling the best of American genius and strength and achievement and sending back images that remind us not to take for granted our precious, fragile planet.

The United States is still destined for greatness, but only united will we meet the challenges and seize the opportunities of our time: to guarantee great health care for every American, to unleash an affordable housing boom and save our family farms, to harness new technologies for the good of the many, and not the few, to make America the world leader on human rights and return nations to the path of peaceful coexistence.

But none of this is possible without victory this November.

“One if by land, two if by sea.” Do y’all remember that? 251 years ago today, late on April 18th, 1775, two lanterns hung in the steeple of the Old North Church in Boston, Massachusetts, the sign for Paul Revere to ride.

At dawn the next day in Lexington and Concord, the minutemen fought and won their first battle against the Crown. See, our nation is founded on a rejection of kingdom and on the radical idea that all human beings have a natural right to liberty.

Dr. King said of our Declaration of Independence, “Never before in the history of the world has a sociopolitical document expressed in such profound, eloquent, and unequivocal language the dignity and worth of human personality.”

And from those founding ideals, despite our sins and through courageous struggle, the flame of American freedom has grown brighter and bolder and given hope to the whole world.

But today we face a President who’s embarked on this unmistakable project, not to lead us, but to rule us as subjects. He deifies and enriches himself, as he adorns the White House in gold and raises a massive force of masked federal police.

The President who once tried to overturn his own defeat now tries to jail elected leaders of the opposition, prosecute Americans who defy or criticize him, and seize control of elections nationwide.

As he indulges in careless militarism around the world, he plans a monument to himself so tall it will disrupt air traffic into our nation’s capital.

For all this, the founders of our Republic must be turning in their graves, but they gave us the tools to fix it, freedoms guaranteed at our founding, made real through struggle and sacrifice in places like Seneca Falls and Selma and Stonewall.

And of all the freedoms at stake, none is more powerful or precious than the right to vote.

In Georgia, we know better than anyone that the election deniers are on the march. The Fulton County raid, the executive order attacking voting, the MAGA loyalists on our state election board, they’ve made their plans very clear.

But Georgians are prepared to answer with a mobilization so massive and with a defense of voting rights so fierce that no plot against the franchise can foil the will of the people.

Because how foolish of them to come to the cradle of the civil rights movement to spread those lies and seize our ballots.

How foolish to launch an attack on voting rights here in Georgia, at the political and spiritual center of the very Black history they seek to erase.

Augusta, their attacks only strengthen our resolve, and if all of us here do what we must do, the sound of feet marching to the polls this fall will be heard in every corner of our state and all the way on high, where Congressman Lewis will look down and see a job well done. Augusta, are you ready to win?

A wave is building, the kind that comes once a generation, when people have been pushed too far and they decide all at once and all together that enough is enough.

Across Georgia, more and more of every background and belief reject this chaos and corruption.

It’s not just Democrats and Independents. Republicans pull me aside, or they call me on the phone, and they tell me they’re voting for a Democrat for the first time in their lives. And we welcome them.

Five years ago, in the early hours of January 6th, 2021, right before the President’s mob sacked the Capitol, hope broke out across the nation because the people of Georgia had spoken so clearly. Because Georgia sent the young Jewish son of an immigrant and a Black pastor who holds Dr. King’s pulpit at Ebenezer Baptist Church to the U.S. Senate.

We did it before. We’ll do it again. And as long as we don’t give in to doubt or despair or division, our victories will be so decisive that no half-baked plot hatched in the White House will foil the will of the people.

Because history is calling the question: What kind of people are we? And Georgia is ready to answer once again that the measure of our success is not how many of the poorest and most vulnerable families we hunt down and shackle and imprison and deport.

The measure of our success is whether each generation achieves greater health and prosperity than the last and whether we live up to the promise of equal justice for all. Georgia is ready to send a message that we will bow to no king.

So Augusta, are you ready to work? Are you ready to win? Let’s get it done.

Many of you are here because you just can’t stand what’s being done to our country. You’re seeing what I’m seeing, right? The President is posting about the Obamas like a Klansman at 1:00 AM.

You see our government transformed into a tool of one man’s personal vengeance and power and enrichment.

You see the President and his family raking in billions while Americans struggle to make ends meet.

You see prices going up while jobs are getting harder to find.

You see millions lose insurance and local hospitals shut services while the rich get tax cuts.

You see masked federal agents kicking down doors without so much as a warrant from a judge, dragging Americans out of their homes without cause, demanding papers at police checkpoints, assaulting and even killing Americans with impunity from the very top.

You see the American government immediately slander the citizens it kills as terrorists. You see prison camps growing and full of children.

More and more of your neighbors carry their passports to the store in case they’re detained based on their accent or the color of their skin.

The Justice Department and now even our intelligence agencies are openly politicized and turned against the President’s enemies.

It feels like every day, the depravity deepens, the chaos accelerates.

And deep down maybe you fear whether our Republic now, in our 250th year, can survive it all. But Atlanta, I’m here to tell you, we will overcome this together.

Some people just happen to live at times and in places where history is made. And Atlanta this year, once again, that’s us, and it’s not the first time the whole country is counting on us.

So, are you ready to fight? Are you ready to win?

Maybe you’ve felt surrounded by darkness this last year, but the first light of dawn is on the horizon.

Look at Texas. Look at Virginia. Look at New Jersey.

Look here in Georgia, where Democrats just won two statewide races by 25 points.

Look at Minneapolis, where they organized to protect children from being kidnapped at school, where tens of thousands marched in protest, where non-violent civil disobedience forced the tyrant to retreat.

Atlanta, there’s a wave building, and come November, the people who have been looting this country and desecrating our values are going to feel it.

And here’s the thing: They know it. And they fear it. And that’s why their abuses are becoming more reckless and desperate.

But as long as we don’t give in to doubt or despair or division, our victories will be so decisive that no half-baked plot hatched in the White House will foil the will of the people.

The power of the Presidency is nothing compared to the power of the American people.

Are you ready to win?

Every day our wave grows taller, and our tent grows bigger. All across Georgia, more and more people of every background and belief reject the chaos and corruption.

It’s not just Democrats and independents. Republicans take me aside, or they call me on the phone.

They tell me they’re afraid of where this President has taken us, and they don’t want it to go on.

They tell me they’re voting for a Democrat for the first time.

And it’s no mystery why. This is the cruelest and most arrogant group of people who have ever ascended to high office in the United States, and their cruelty and their arrogance are matched only by their incompetence.

The President said he’d bring down prices on day one, instead, his tariffs keep driving prices higher and higher.

Coffee is up 20%. Ground beef and the power bill, both up 13%. Apples up 10%. I could go on. All in one year.

Unemployment is rising too. Listen to this.

American manufacturing jobs have shrunk nearly every single month since Trump rolled out his tariffs. Last month, more Americans lost their jobs than any January in 17 years.

And while prices are going up and jobs are getting harder to find, they decided to let health insurance premiums double for more than 20 million Americans, including more than a million Georgians.

200,000 Georgians have already lost their insurance.

I heard from a woman in her early 60s who waits tables for a living. She’s fighting cancer. She told me she was going to lose her health coverage in the middle of chemotherapy.

Now you remember we were told that MAGA was for the working-class Americans.

But this is a government of, by, and for the ultra-rich. It’s the richest cabinet ever. This is the Epstein class ruling our country. They are the elites they pretend to hate.

So prices are up. Jobs are going away. Medicaid and school lunches are slashed. Nursing homes are getting defunded.

If you’re Steve Bannon, and your pitch was “Trump: for the forgotten man and woman,” how do you sell any of this?

Trump was supposed to fight for the working class. Instead, he’s literally closing rural clinics and hospitals to cut taxes for George Soros and Elon Musk.

He was supposed to end the globalist world-police foreign policy. Instead we’re doing war for oil and nation-building again, and threatening to conquer Greenland.

He was supposed to drain the swamp. Instead, this is the most corrupt administration of all time, and everybody knows it.

Listen to what Marjorie Taylor Greene just said about MAGA last week: Marjorie said, “I think people are realizing it was all a lie. What MAGA is really serving in this administration, who they’re serving, is their big donors.”

Guys, this is Marjorie Taylor Greene.

She said, “The big, big donors that donated all the money and continue to donate to the President’s PACs and are donating to the big ballroom, those are the people who get the special favors. They get the government contracts, they get the pardons.”

Marjorie, welcome to the resistance.

I think never in the history of corruption has so little effort gone into hiding so much graft.

There’s the pardon factory they’re running out of DOJ — donors and political allies straight to the front of the line.

And then, of course, the President and his family’s net worth has increased by billions since he took office.

The President and his sons have been very busy taking money from foreign governments and foreign interests.

There’s Sheikh Tahnoon, national security advisor in the United Arab Emirates, who deposited two billion dollars in Trump’s crypto firm just after the administration granted his government access to the most sensitive American AI chips.

There’s Justin Sun, the Chinese crypto titan under investigation by the SEC, who bought tens of millions of dollars of Trump Coins just before that SEC investigation went away.

Dar Global, the real estate fund tied to Saudi royals, has new Trump deals in four countries. The governments of Qatar and Oman are investing, too.

But Trump doesn’t just want money from foreign governments. He wants money from the U.S. government, too! So our President is suing the United States for $10 billion dollars.

This is actually a thing he’s doing. Did you see this? And if you’re thinking, wait a minute, isn’t that our tax dollars?

The answer is yes, it is our tax dollars.

Of course, the President isn’t just looking out for himself.

He’s helping his friends and allies. Have you ever heard of a drug lord named Juan Orlando Hernández?

It’s a wild story, because he used to be the president of Honduras.

But a couple years ago, a federal judge here in the United States sentenced him to 45 years for conspiring to traffic hundreds of tons of cocaine into the United States.

He had taken millions from the Sinaloa Cartel and used the Honduran army and police to help them run drugs to America.

And then Donald Trump pardoned him. Donald Trump pardoned a man who helped the cartels make billions of dollars trafficking vast amounts of cocaine into the United States.

Donald Trump freed him because he was Donald Trump’s political ally, and because this guy sent a four page letter to Trump saying he was a better president than Biden.

But then they will tell you with a straight face that the raid in Venezuela was about drugs.

See, Maduro should have just sent Trump a check. Or sponsored the ballroom.

By the way, Maduro’s successor in Venezuela seems to have directed half a million to Trump’s inauguration. Someone should probably look into that.

The fact is, it pays to be friends with the President. It pays to kiss this President’s ass.

If you really need something, you can always just pay the President. Whether you’re a Sheikh or a felon or a kingpin or a political donor, there’s a buffet of corrupt options to curry favor with this administration.

And yes, Donald Trump cut our health care so people like Elon Musk would pay lower taxes.

But don’t forget, he also cut our health care to fund the creation of a huge federal paramilitary force.

Now look, there are still plenty of patriots serving our country in the U.S. government, and decent, hardworking folks in federal law enforcement trying to do the right thing every day. But this ain’t that.

And the American people are asking: Why are roving gangs of masked men, who look like they couldn’t pass the army physical exam, dressed up like pretend Delta Force operators, wearing camouflage, and carrying ARs on the streets of American cities, setting up checkpoints to harass commuters, demanding papers, dragging people screaming from their cars, and shooting people to death?

They don’t have to identify themselves. They don’t have to explain why you’ve been stopped. Film them, and they tell you you’ve been added to a terrorist watch list.

A Republican congressman running for Senate in Texas said, “When a federal officer gives you instructions, you abide by them and you get to keep your life.”

Obey the federal government, they tell us, or die. What happened to “Don’t Tread on Me?”

And by the way, if you’re carrying a firearm, the Trump administration said they have license to kill you.

Are there any principled constitutional conservatives left in the United States? Because it’s not just the Department of Homeland Security that’s shredding our Bill of Rights.

The administration is fast corrupting the Justice Department and even our intelligence agencies. And yes, they are laying the groundwork for mischief in the upcoming elections.

The President said we’d never need to vote again. Then he said we shouldn’t have elections. Now, he says he wants to take over the elections.

And like a scene out of some banana republic, Tulsi Gabbard, the country’s spy chief, comes to Fulton County, Georgia to oversee the seizure of ballots.

Tulsi said the President asked her to go, which means the President is personally managing federal raids on election sites in battleground states, all in service of his obsession with overturning the 2020 election and laying the groundwork for whatever they’re plotting this year.

But they made a big mistake. They came to Fulton County, Georgia.

They came to the political and spiritual heart of the Civil Rights Movement.

They came to the doorstep of John Lewis’s congressional district.

And as a result, we are going to mobilize the biggest and most unstoppable turnout in state history.

Now look, defeating Donald Trump and his allies is essential, but it’s only part of the job ahead, because Donald Trump is a symptom of a deeper disease.

Decades of deepening political corruption, growing inequality of power and wealth — these are the failures of an ancient and visionless political class entrenched in a system built to keep them in office forever, members of Congress who just sit idly in their seats, collecting lobbyist checks, trading stocks, saying whatever the polls tell them to.

And on their watch, the national spirit that defeated fascism, that landed men on the moon, that passed civil rights laws, was replaced by a small and selfish politics, the politics of legalized corruption, defined by corporate PACs and bundlers and lobbyists. It’s a system designed to serve donors and protect incumbents.

And then Citizens United came along, the worst court decision in modern American history, flooding the airwaves with ads paid for by secret donors who bankroll both parties.

All of this bent Congress to serve the powerful and forget the people.

And that’s why you still pay a fortune for prescriptions.

That’s why your insurance company gets to keep denying your claim.

That’s why hedge funds get to buy up all the houses in your neighborhood.

That’s why that ambulance costs $3,000 after you just had to get a choking toddler to the hospital.

Our democracy stopped serving the public, and the public lost faith in a system that was failing them.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. It doesn’t have to be this way.

Everywhere I go across our state, people tell me they are desperate for change and for new ideas.

The South Georgia farmer whose costs rise and earnings fall each year, whose kids have left the family farm, who’s still waiting for federal aid long after the storm.

The student working through college who still needs food stamps to make rent — whose conscience can’t stand their tax dollars being used to lock up immigrant children here at home or kill innocent children in the Middle East.

The young couple expecting their first child — who worry how they’ll afford a crib and a stroller, let alone a first home — and their health insurance just went up a thousand dollars a per month.

There are so many problems we should be solving together. Guaranteeing all Americans great health insurance and great health care no matter our wealth, unleashing an affordable housing boom, saving our family farms, making America the world’s human rights leader.

It should excite us to imagine what's possible, but none of this will be possible if we forget what America stands for.

See Donald Trump, JD Vance, Stephen Miller, they offer a small, closed, menacing vision of America defined by fear and scarcity and exclusion.

They imitate the blood and soil rhetoric of history’s worst regimes.

Immigrants, Donald Trump says, are “poisoning the blood of our country.”

Those are the kinds of words used by the most dangerous men in history.

I listened to a speech a few months back by a Senator from Missouri who’s aligned with the President. And I think what I heard him say was that the only real Americans are those descended from the original European settlers.

Now, maybe he forgot the Mayflower itself was full of religious exiles fleeing persecution.

But our heritage isn’t limited to that of the pilgrims and those who settled the West.

America’s heritage includes the descendants of slaves who won liberation from slavery and Jim Crow.

It includes the Creek Indians who lived in middle Georgia for 11 centuries straight.

It includes immigrants from every region and continent who arrived here fleeing persecution or seeking opportunity.

Americans are not a race. We’re a people united, not by ethnicity, but by shared convictions, and that is what makes us exceptional and a beacon to the world.

How amazing is it that the most powerful nation on earth proclaims as its core values that all are created equal? With inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, no matter how humble our beginnings, no matter our ancestry, no matter when we arrived on these shores.

George Washington wrote in 1783, “America is open to receive not only the opulent and respectable stranger, but the oppressed and persecuted of all nations and religions.”

That’s a legacy worth protecting.

And I was thinking the other day, what would the founders think if they visited us today?

Well, they would see that slavery had been abolished.

They would see that Americans without land, and then women, and then the descendants of slaves had secured voting rights.

That American leadership in science and discovery had propelled knowledge and technology to unimaginable heights.

They would see that the United States had become the superpower that defeated Nazism and communism.

They would see a pluralist democracy, people of all colors descended from every point on Earth, stitched together out of many nations into one still the greatest hope for mankind.

But they would also learn that of the world's great rich nations, American life expectancy is the lowest, while our childhood poverty, murder, and maternal mortality rates are the highest.

They would see a nation that at the height of its wealth and power fell into the very traps they most feared, the dominance of special interests, bitter division between warring political parties and a faithless President exploiting that rot to pursue the absolute power they overthrew.

But they gave us the tools to fix this. They put the power in our hands.

It’s up to us. This is a turning point for the United States. History is calling the question, what kind of a people are we?

I believe the measure of our success is not how many of the poorest and most vulnerable families we hunt down and shackle and imprison and deport.

The measure of our success is whether each generation achieves greater health and prosperity than the last and whether we live up to the promise of equal justice for all.

I believe we can lift American children out of poverty.

We can keep our communities safe from violence.

We can make sure every mom and every baby in America gets the best care in the world.

I believe we can reform our corrupt politics.

We can unite the American people to solve big problems and achieve great things again.

I believe we will escape this moral tailspin and recommit ourselves to the values that have powered 250 years of progress.

But none of this is possible without victory this November, and the battle is already on.

So Atlanta, are you ready to work? Are you ready to save the country again?

Yesterday I rallied a crowd in Savannah to oppose this Administration’s unprecedented attack on our constitution and the rule of law.

Hello Savannah! Thank you all so much for being here.

First, I want to thank all of the law enforcement keeping us safe today. Thank you to Savannah PD and all the security staff.

And I want to ask all of our veterans in the room to raise your hand up high and be honored by all of us. Thank you for your service.

Now Savannah, I'm here with a report from our nation’s capital – and it’s not good news.

It turns out... when Donald Trump said he was going to fight for working class Americans… what he *really* meant was: He’s going to take away your health care to cut taxes for the rich.

Now you may remember — we were told this was a different Republican Party.

We were told Donald Trump’s new GOP cared about working people.

But you can’t claim to be for working men and women... when you defund their hospitals and nursing homes.

You can’t claim to be for working men and women... when you defund school lunch programs to help feed little boys and little girls... whose hard-working parents are struggling to fill the fridge.

You can’t claim to be for working men and women… when you do these things so you can cut taxes for the richest people in the country.

There was a Republican Senator with the integrity to oppose this. Thom Tillis, of North Carolina. Did you see that?

He was on the Senate floor, pleading with Republicans to do the right thing.

Senator Tillis warned that 663,000 North Carolinians will be pushed off Medicaid.

He warned President Trump was breaking his promises.

He took a stand and he voted against the bill.

And they ran him right out of the Republican Party.

It took courage, what Sen. Tillis did.

Among the Republicans who represent Georgia in Congress... no such courage.

Just: “Yes sir, no sir, Mr. Trump.”

Let me tell you what it was like in Washington these last six months.

See, we had the leaders of Georgia’s clinics and hospitals and nursing homes, caregivers for seniors and the disabled, nurses and doctors, teachers and school principals, the folks who run food pantries — they all came up to Washington, and they begged Georgia’s representatives in Congress... they said, please don’t do this, it’s going to be devastating for health care and seniors and kids.

Sen. Warnock and I listened. We fought that bill, and we voted No.

We put Georgia first.

But every Republican member of Congress who is supposed to represent Georgia put loyalty to Trump over loyalty to our state.

They’re destroying the Medicaid program when 40% of all kids in Georgia are covered by Medicaid. 50% of all births in Georgia are covered by Medicaid. 70% of all seniors in nursing homes are covered by Medicaid.

37 Georgia nursing homes are at risk of closure because of this law — seven of them are less than a two hour drive from here.

Remember what President Trump said about Medicaid? “We’re not going to touch it.” Direct quote.

Like Senator Tillis said – a broken promise.

One of many.

President Trump promised to end the wars.

He promised to release the Epstein files.

Did anyone really think the sexual predator president who used to party with Jeffrey Epstein was going to release the Epstein files?

So many broken promises.

More people are unemployed. The wars are still raging. Oil drilling is slowing down. The debt is exploding. Prices are going up.

The other day I was watching part of an interview with Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Which... you never know what you’re going to get.

But just a few weeks ago, she said of the Trump Administration, she said, “We” (as in, MAGA), Marjorie said “we’ve been in power for six months. And I was so excited in the beginning thinking there’s nothing we can’t do.” Then Marjorie said, “But six months in, “there’s literally nothing that we can do.”

Well, they have done one thing. They’ve destroyed Medicaid and defunded hospitals and added four trillion dollars to the debt to cut taxes for the rich.

And by the way, Marjorie, it’s not too late to run for Senate. Don’t listen to the polls. You can do it!

4 trillion dollars — that’s trillion, with a T — to the national debt.

I don’t want to hear another Republican Member of Congress ever again pretend they care about deficits and debt.

These cowards and hypocrites in the Freedom Caucus, they make their entire fake personas about cutting deficits. Then they get threatened with a primary and they fold for a Big Mac on Air Force One.

So now our kids, and our kids’ kids, and their grandkids have four trillion dollars more debt to pay down. And it’s not even like it’s for a good cause. It’s so someone worth $50 million can buy another vacation home to visit once a year.

Meanwhile, there are plenty of things that are worth public investment.

I would like one of my Republican colleagues to explain why an American family has to pay $3,000 to ride a few miles in an ambulance to the hospital...

...when we’re handing out million dollar tax breaks to the wealthiest people in the country?

Or why they’re cancelling the projects that can actually make a difference for hard-working people in our state.

Do you all know Thomasville, Georgia?

Just a few miles from the Florida line. Small, rural. Thomasville’s never gotten much love from Washington. They’re short health care options. Infrastructure’s old. So a couple years back, we allocated federal funds to help them build a new health clinic and upgrade their sewers.

Health clinics and sewers didn’t used to be controversial.

But then out of nowhere the Trump Administration cancelled the grant. Y’all know why?

First, because the project had the word “justice” in it, And “justice” is now a forbidden word.

Second, because a tiny amount of the grant was for electric lawnmowers, to maintain the new facilities. And electric vehicles, which were supposed to be Georgia’s economic future, are now considered woke.

So no more health clinic and sewer upgrades for Thomasville.

See, they’re all wrapped up in this right-wing internet ideology. Battery powered lawnmowers make them feel unsafe. Diversity and justice are too triggering.

These are the guys who were going to end cancel culture.

Now they’re trying to cancel Big Bird.

No literally, they are trying to cancel Big Bird. We’re voting next week on their bill to defund public television. They are boldly standing up to Elmo and the Deep State Woke Mob.

Do you remember when JD Vance gave a whole big lecture to foreign leaders in Europe about free speech?

Now JD Vance will throw you in a Homeland Security dungeon for writing an op-ed he doesn’t like.

What’s happening to our country right now should chill us to the bone.

The use of official power to intimidate and destroy critics and political opponents, law firms, and universities. A government that openly defies the courts while federal troops police our cities.

A President threatening to strip Americans of their citizenship and send them to foreign prisons.

Before you elected me, I led a team that exposed corruption and war crimes all over the world.

We worked in places where criticizing the government is dangerous,
where whistleblowers and witnesses have to meet in secret,
where protest carries the risk of prosecution.

Savannah: when the federal police are wearing masks and refusing to identify themselves, that’s a bad sign.

Fear is the currency of tyranny.

I've heard it from people at every level. Including powerful people, people with status and resources.

They come to my office and tell me they’re afraid to say anything.

They’re afraid of retribution, investigation, destruction.

Vengeance from their own government.

Donald Trump wants the whole country to fear him.

He’s attacking the freedom of the press...
He’s enlisting intelligence contractors to harvest our data and profile us...
He’s still working to undermine elections.

Remember, this guy already tried once to overthrow the government.

The same day you sent me and Raphael Warnock to the Senate, his mob sacked the Capitol Building.

On January 5th you elected us. On January 6th they tried to seize power, and failed.
On January 7th we got to work.

• We capped the price of insulin for seniors.

• We expanded Social Security for teachers, police officers, and first responders.

• We saved more than a million pensions from insolvency.

• We delivered the biggest investment in HBCUs of all time.

• We confirmed Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court of the United States.

• We upgraded infrastructure in every part of our State of Georgia.

• We unleashed a manufacturing renaissance here in Coastal Georgia and statewide.

None of that would have happened without you, Georgia.

Now that they’re in power, in the same bill that defunded hospitals to cut taxes for the rich, they made the budget for mass deportations larger than the FBI, ATF, DEA, and the Bureau of Prisons combined.

It’ll be the largest domestic police force in American history. The ones with masks.

They say it’s about crime, and drugs, and gangs, and human trafficking, and cartels.

And those are serious threats that need to be confronted.

The cartels should be crushed. The border should be secure. The human traffickers should be brought to justice, and their victims liberated. If someone in this country illegally commits a crime, they have to leave.

But they're snatching people with no records. Even folks with work permits. They’re tearing families apart. A lot of them have kids or spouses who are American citizens. Some of them are American citizens.

They sent 11-year-old and 4-year-old little girls, both American citizens, both in the middle of cancer treatment, to Mexico and Honduras because their parents were undocumented.

They sent a mother, who was still breastfeeding her one-year-old U.S. citizen baby, to Cuba, without her child, and the little baby wound up in the hospital after being ripped from her mother’s breast.

There was a man in California, a father of three sons, all three sons United States Marines.

The guy had no criminal record – and they didn’t just take him, they punched him in the head over and over again as he lay on the ground... in broad daylight, on camera. Did you see that?

If that’s what they’re doing in public, what do you think is happening in these detention centers?

Now, when you’ve got a government like this, it always comes with personal corruption.

And the Trumps are using the office of the Presidency to enrich themselves in a way we have never, ever seen in American history.

You guys are following Trump’s crypto thing, right? The meme coin?

There’s a guy named Justin Sun. He’s a Chinese oligarch. Billionaire.

A couple of years ago, the SEC starts investigating this guy for securities fraud.
Maybe he’s guilty, maybe he’s not. I don’t know. That’s not the point.

Because last year, Mr. Justin Sun, the Chinese billionaire under investigation by the U.S. government, starts investing tens of millions of dollars in Donald Trump’s crypto business.

To the point where he says he’s become the number-one holder in the world of the Trump coin.

Are you surprised to hear his federal case has gone away?

And then a few weeks ago he’s having dinner with the President. Because if you give the President cash, you get to have dinner with him. That’s a thing we’re doing in America now.

The President’s personal wealth is skyrocketing.

And the whole royal family is cashing in.
Jared Kushner’s firm got $2 billion from the Saudi royal family. Don Jr. and Eric are closing real estate deals all over the world.

Hunter Biden should have been more ambitious!

Remember how that was their number-one thing?

Now Trump’s getting money from foreign businessmen under federal investigation, and his boys are all over the world closing deals right before he touches down on state visits.

Eric said the other day, “We’re the hottest brand in the world right now.”

It’s amazing the opportunities that open up when your daddy is President and the whole world thinks he takes bribes.

But the truth is, corruption in America runs a lot deeper than Donald Trump.

See, I get why people voted for Trump.

Because even before he came on the scene, America had the most corrupt political system in the Western world.

It’s all been running on corporate money, secret money, billionaire money. Both sides!
And it’s worse than ever now.

Citizens United was the worst court decision in modern American history.

When members of Congress aren’t begging for money from lobbyists, they’re trying to dodge getting carpet-bombed by these super PACs. Senators get threatened every day with millions and millions of dollars of attack ads over the votes we take.

And see, this is why nothing works for ordinary people.

It's not because of woke college students...
or trans kids...
or because there are interracial couples in cereal commercials.

It’s because the people’s elected representatives don’t represent the people, they represent the donors.

And that corruption is why they just defunded nursing homes to cut taxes for the rich.

Corruption is why you pay a fortune for prescriptions.

Corruption is why your insurance claim keeps getting denied.

Corruption is why hedge funds get to buy up all the houses in your neighborhood, driving you out of the market, and then your corporate landlord ignores your calls during a gas leak.

Corruption is why that ambulance costs $3,000 after you just had to gett your choking toddler to the hospital.

Trump promised to attack a broken system. I get it. Ripe target.
But here’s the thing. He’s a crook and a con man and he wants to be a king.

Yes, the system really is rigged. But Trump’s not unrigging it. He’s re-rigging it for himself!

Savannah, trust me when I tell you — if we live up to our obligations as citizens, we will overcome this.

And once again, the country is counting on Georgia to lead the way.

Five years ago, when Raphael and I were running, they said there was no way.
They wanted us to give in to doubt and fear and despair.
But out of no way, we made a way.

And the State of Georgia, the heart of the old Confederacy and the Cradle of the Civil Rights Movement, sent a black pastor who holds Dr. King’s pulpit at Ebeneezer Baptist Church and the young Jewish son of an immigrant to the United States Senate.

When they told us there was no way, we knew better.
We knew we were on the right side of history.
We knew we could win. We could feel it.

And I’m telling you, Savannah, I can feel it again.

Can you feel it, Savannah?

That’s what you feel when your cause is just.
That’s how it feels when you push on the arc of history, and it starts bending toward justice.

In my Senate office, just over my desk, there’s a portrait of Congressman Lewis.

If the Congressman were here he might remind us what happened in Savannah, in 1960, when sit-ins at segregated lunch counters led to boycotts that led to voter registration drives that led to a new city government.

He might remind us that, within a year, that new city government desegregated those lunch counters; and by 1963, the businesses and public spaces; so that by 1964, Dr. King told the world Savannah was the most desegregated city in the south.

Savannah, you’ve led the way before. Are you ready to lead again?

The fight against Jim Crow was a struggle for universal civil and human rights.

Even after the great victories of that movement, that is still our struggle. Congressman Lewis always reminded us of that, too.

Today, our fight is against deeply entrenched corruption and greed.
Corruption and greed that have so deeply rotted our system that it gave rise to this depraved man who has now plagued our public life for nearly a decade.

But five years ago, here in Georgia, we lit a beacon of hope and possibility for the whole nation – and the whole world. It’s still shining.
And come next November, we will raise it higher.
Come next November, we will do our part to end this spiral into chaos and corruption.

And then there will again be so much work to do. Our possibilities are limitless.

Even once we have ended this President’s reign, we have to learn its lessons.

It’s the grip of money on our politics that led us to this moment of crisis. And so even when this fight is won, and we will win it, the fight against corruption – not of one man, but of our system, will define whether America becomes what America can be... for all its people.

We know here in Georgia that the measure of our success is not how many of the poorest and most vulnerable families we hunt down and shackle and imprison and deport; the measure of our success is whether each generation achieves greater freedom and health and prosperity than the last; and whether we live up to the promise of equal justice for all.

Savannah, are you ready to fight?

• Will America be more prosperous if we take a hatchet to renewable energy so we can pump more subsidies into oil and gas?

“This is the same chamber,” I thought, as he rambled endlessly, “that his mob tried to breach when they sacked the Capitol on January 6th … the very same day my Senate victory was called in Georgia.”

Last night, returned to power, in that same chamber, he was cheered by Republican legislators who’d run for their lives from his hooligans four years ago.

It must never be forgotten that he tried to steal the presidency.

That he let his mob ransack the seat of our democracy as he watched on TV from the White House.

And that once he regained power, he pardoned them all.

Yet I fear it could be forgotten.

Because Donald Trump is the most shameless, brazen liar in American history.

At every opportunity he tries to rewrite history.

Just a few examples from last night’s speech:

Trump claimed to “drain the swamp” while he lets corruption run rampant.

He’s suspended enforcement of the law that forbids bribery of foreign officials. (!!!)

He illegally fired the Director of the Office of Government Ethics and seventeen independent Inspectors General. (They investigate corruption.)

Elon Musk’s Starlink (surprise!) just magically got the FAA contract for technology to manage U.S. airspace … with your tax dollars.

Trump claimed victory over “censorship” while his administration intimidates the free press.

His Administration is now “investigating” NPR, PBS, CBS, and NBC. (The list keeps growing.)

He barred the AP from the Oval Office and Air Force One for refusing to call the Gulf of Mexico the “Gulf of America.”

Trump claimed to love law enforcement after pardoning his foot soldiers who brutalized police on January 6th.

They assaulted cops with batons.

With stun guns.

With bear spray.

And then he let them all go free.

I know it’s tiring to keep calling out his bull****.

But we have to insist on the truth.

Because otherwise MAGA loyalists amplify every falsehood, uncontested.

The most notorious of them all, Marjorie Taylor Greene, was cheering her heart out last night for every lie.

Recently she confirmed again publicly she might run against me.

And Trump said he would “fight like hell” to elect her to the Senate if she does.

So, the situation is serious.

Trump is on a blitz. He wants to rule America like a strongman.

His most fanatical ally in the House wants to take this seat and become a Senator, where she can do vastly more damage.

But remember: you backed me five years ago.

I won, unseating an incumbent Republican Senator, in America’s most competitive battleground state.

That victory won control of the Senate.
