  • sit outside in the sun if you can, set your circadian rhythm, drink room temp water, you’re dehydrated

  • make your bed, I know its not ground breaking BUT fold the comforter back so your sheets can breathe and open the blinds. I also have been sleeping with two comforters in my duvet—like you’re sleeping on a cloud.

  • get a good espresso machine, it just makes you feel chic to have a quality latte in the morning and it’s obviously better.

  • knock off a task immediately so you already feel accomplished, like moving your body/going on a walk.

  • Don’t go on your phone yet, its really not important what people did on instagram last night and the email can wait until you’re mentally ready for the day

  • If you didn’t clean the night before, get rid of the clutter

  • get yourself ready even if you don’t need to, put on a little makeup, wear a presentable outfit, do the full skincare, you’ll feel more confident.

It makes me feel…immature? But at the same time it’s not something I can necessarily control so easily. As if finding the one, the perfect job or your forever home is so simple that I could do it tomorrow. Sure, I could probably get these milestones taken care of at a quicker pace but I so desperately want things to be right. Because I know what it feels like when they’re wrong. When you know you know, when you don’t you don’t? Can’t relate to either actually. Unfortunately, my radar for red flags and gut feelings is pretty accurate, maybe so accurate that I forget to live a little sometimes.
