OFFSHORE- Offshore reports this week were largely based around wahoo again. Though it wasn't the numbers of fish caught last week ahead of the full moon; the backside of the moon still saw a pretty fair numbers of wahoo coming over the gunnels. Pulling the planer with a sea-witch/bonita strip combo remains a very effective way to go. We have some beautiful ready to go rigged strips in-stock from Sea-Spook Baits that make it very easy! Also in-stock is the Belly Dancer Pre-Rigged Strip/Witch combo that works very well behind the planer. Pulling a Nomad DTX is also a simple easy way to target the wahoo. Live baits (check the pic below of a nice one caught last weekend on a live sardine) will also work well for the wahoo, it just becomes a matter of drift depth and getting the baits past the bonita. Speaking of bonita, they have started to thin out a bit along the 120' ledge, a sign we are ever so slowly moving into late summer/early fall patterns. Dolphin reports were slim this week, with just a few random fish seeming to pop up. Sailfish bite seems to be fair. No big numbers like a few weeks ago, but those targeting them do seem to be seeing at least a fish or two a trip. No bottom fishing reports to speak of this week. Not sure if it just hasn't been good or nobody has been.

INSHORE- Inshore fishing has been a bit slow this week. The water has been a bit funky inshore, and hopefully that will flush itself out soon. Snook season has opened on the slower side, with most reports coming in that it is a grind! The bridges have had a few fish at night, but overall they have been rather uncooperative. The Loxahatchee River has been producing a few fish early in the morning and on the tide changes. Love mullet is. a good way to go for the snook in the river right now. Speaking of mullet (and mentioned in the surf section as well), no big schools moving through yet. A few small scattered schools seem to be filtering in; but from the looks of things we are still a week or two away from seeing any big numbers. Of course that could change at any point, and we always try and update the report if they show up on us unexpected. A few mangrove snapper around still for those grinding it out on the bridges at night. Live shrimp and pilchards remain top bait choices for the snapper.

SURF/PIER- The water along the beach has been a funky green color (and from the looks of it likely on the cold side) the past few days leading to overall tough fishing. On the positive side the seaweed, for the most part, has not been as bad this week. While a few small pods of mullet have been spotted, the mass of fish are still well to the north of us. South winds and calm seas are likely not going to rush in any big numbers of mullet this weekend if I had to guess...though you never know! Guessing when the mullet show up is always a challenge, but as it stands now it seems that we are likely a week or two away. The Juno Beach Pier has also been a bit slower this week. The live bait (Mostly small pilchards, scattered small thread fins, and a scattering of small goggle eyes and dork jacks) has still been around the pier, with blue runners and scattered mackerel making up a bulk of the action. The snook have been around, but the bite overall has been tough. Best bite on the snook is first thing in the morning and then again late in the afternoon.

OFFSHORE- The wahoo bite has been excellent this week, and conditions look good for that to continue headed into the weekend. The full moon is Friday, the seaweed has not been bad, and the wind is light...should be a lot of wahoo coming over the gunnels this weekend. While pulling the planer with a sea-witch and bonita strip has been the top producer; plenty of wahoo are being caught on swimming plugs (Nomad DTX or Rapala X-Rap), high speed lures, and live baits as well. Early and late in the day look for the wahoo to be around the 120' ledge. As the sun gets up higher they will tend to slide out a little deeper (250-350'). Dolphin fishing remained fair this week, with fish scattered from 350-1000' of water. Not a huge number of dolphin around, but a handful big enough to need a gaff for sure. A few really nice Blackfin Tuna have been around in 200-300' of water as well. No pattern to the tuna to speak of; with most of them being a bonus bycatch. The sailfish bite slowed down this week, with a few still popping up. Bottom fishing reports were slow this week.

INSHORE- A bit quiet on the inshore side of things. Catch and release snook fishing remains good (Only a few days now until season opens). A bulk of the fish remain in the inlets, though a few are breaking off and pushing back into the river. Palm Beach County has not seen a lot of mullet yet, though rumors of some fair numbers showing up in Martin County are trickling in. This is generally about the last moon that the snook spawn on; so expect them to be very hungry over the next few weeks! As the mullet show up the fishing will no doubt fire off. Snook, tarpon, jacks, and others will be close behind the mullet schools. The snook fishing now has been best on outgoing tide, especially at spots closer to the inlets.

SURF/PIER- Surf fishing remains a bit slow; with the Juno Beach Pier only being slightly better. Catch and release snook fishing has been fair at the pier, with the best action coming on live baits. Flatlining pilchards on the edge of the bait schools has been working well for the snook. Good numbers of blue runners around the pier, with a few scattered mackerel mixed in. Sandperch have been biting pieces of fresh shrimp in the first trough. Small hooks and light leads are the way to go for the perch and occasional croaker.

OFFSHORE- Sailfish action has been really good the last few days, with a number of boats getting double digit chances. The sailfish bite has been good from Palm Beach to Jupiter in 150-250' of water. Live baits under the kite and a deep bait or two is the way to go for the sailfish. Goggle eyes and blue runners are a solid choice for the sails. A handful of nice blackfin tuna have been mixed in with the sailfish. Dolphin fishing seemed to pick back up a bit this week with a handful of reports coming in. No hot spot on the dolphin with depth ranges seeming to bounce all around. Wahoo reports slowed a touch; but the reports on them should improve this weekend as the moon gets bigger. Bottom fishing has been fair this week.

INSHORE- Catch and release snook fishing remains the best bet inshore these days. The snook have been the most active early in the morning, late in the afternoon, and then especially at night. During the day look for the snook to be laid up under boat docks, mangrove edges, and seawalls with current on them. At night look for the snook to be around bridges and under docklights. Warm water has the snook's metabolism fired up ready to eat. Fish moving water (the top of the outgoing tends to be the best) for the best luck on the snook. Flairhawk jigs and bigger swimbaits are great lure choices for the snook. Snapper fishing has been fair, with the best action coming at night. Small pilchards and shrimp will be the way to go for the snapper.

SURF/PIER- Surf fishing remains a bit slow, though we are starting to get glimpses of things breaking open. A few early season mullet pods have been reported up to the north (Sebastian/Vero); shouldn't be long till we start to see some early season mullet showing up. Snook fishing remains fair along the beach, especially early in the morning and late afternoon. The snook will be in cruising the trough looking for croakers and sand perch, so cast parallel to the beach in the first trough. The Juno Beach Pier has been active, with a handful of species around. A good number of blue runners and small mackerel have been around. Snook fishing has been good at the pier, with the morning and late afternoon being the best.

OFFSHORE- A bit slow this week, with limited reports coming in from offshore. Still been a decent number of wahoo being caught in 150-250' of water. Early morning and late afternoon have been the most productive for the wahoo. Pulling the planer with a sea-witch and bonita strip combo has been a great way to target the wahoo. A diving plug (Nomad DTX or similar) is also an easy way to get a lure down a bit for the wahoo. Dolphin fishing slowed again this week. Kingfish remain scattered along the 120' ledge, with it being a bit of a slow pick on them. Snapper fishing has been fair, with some good reports coming in. 90-100' of water seems to be working well for the snapper this week, with sardines being the bait of choice.

INSHORE- Catch and release snook fishing remains fair inshore, especially near the inlets. The snook have been biting better at night, with a few popping off early in the morning as well. As always fish a moving tide (depending on the spot incoming and outgoing will work) for best luck with the snook. Mangrove snapper fishing has been fair inshore. Best luck with the snapper will come at night, with the top of the outgoing tide generally being tops. Live shrimp and small pilchards are great bait choices for the snapper. Sandperch have been biting small pieces of fresh shrimp in the ICW.

SURF/PIER- A bit slow this week along the beach, with the Juno Beach Pier remaining more productive. The Juno Beach Pier has been fair for catch and release snook fishing, with the morning and late afternoon being the best. A few kingfish and bonita continue to cruise past the end of the pier, with a Rapala X-Rap being the top lure choice. Blue runners and a scattering of smaller Spanish and Cero Mackerel have also been bending rods at the pier. Croaker and sandperch have been biting in the first trough on small pieces of shrimp.

OFFSHORE- Wahoo fishing was absolutely on fire last weekend; and has remained good through the first part of the week. Expect a slowdown on the wahoo as the moon shrinks down; but this time of year they will remain a possibility. A bonita strip with a sea-witch pulled behind a planer is a solid way to target the wahoo. Sailfish action has been great from just north of the Juno Beach Pier up to the Loran Tower in 200-300' of water. Standard sailfish tactics will play, but don't be afraid to fish a bait or two down deep (especially in calm conditions). Dolphin fishing slowed this week, with a few scattered fish way offshore. A handful of big kingfish were caught along the 120' ledge this week. Snapper fishing has been pretty good in 70-90' of water this week.

INSHORE- Inshore fishing remains a bit tough, with almost all of the better action coming at night. Mangrove snapper action did seem to tick up just a bit this week. The top of the outgoing tide (again primarily at night) has been working the best for the mangroves. Live shrimp and small pilchards seem to be the go to baits for the snapper. Catch and release snook fishing remains good. The snook are hungry right now; and will readily bite bigger lures and baits. A few very early season mullet have pushed through and the snook are definitely keyed in on them.

SURF/PIER- Surf fishing remains a bit slow; although a small push of summertime pompano did get a few surf rods back down on the beach. East winds in the forecast could trigger a little bite on the pompano again this weekend. The Juno Beach Pier has been decent this week, with a little mix of species around. Catch and release snook fishing remains good on the pier, especially first thing in the morning and late in the afternoon. Live baits are the best bet for the snook, but those looking for a bigger challenge will get a few bites with a small properly presented swimbait. A fair number of cero mackerel have been around the pilchard schools, with a good number of blue runners around as well. Sanperch and a few croakers have been coming in late in the afternoon.

OFFSHORE- Fishing was relatively quiet offshore this week; with a fair amount of time being dedicated to lobster mini season in place of fishing. Dolphin fishing slowed this week, with a handful of fish being caught out deep (Over 1000'). Wahoo fishing remains good on the backside of the full moon. Wahoo bite has been best first thing in the morning; with the biggest factor being a section of water not choked with seaweed. Find an area in 150-250' clear enough to pull the baits for more than a few minutes and a wahoo bite is likely. Early in the week the kingfish were biting at night on the full moon; though that bite slowed as the week went on. Bottom fishing has been good this week. The current on the drop has been ripping; so focus on 70-90' of water for the best results. Sardines and squid are the way to go on the bottom.

INSHORE- Catch and release snook fishing remains the main game in town on the inshore side of things. The snook bite was not great this week, but those putting in the time have been catching a few. The best numbers of snook will be around the inlets; with the top of the outgoing tide being prime time to target them. Inshore mangrove snapper fishing remains fair, with the best action coming at night around the bridges. Small live pilchards and live shrimp are top bait choices for the mangroves.

SURF/PIER- Fishing has been a bit slow this week along the beach. Catch and release snook fishing will be the best bet, with the best action coming early in the morning. The Juno Beach Pier has been a bit spotty this week; with a few days of fair action and other days very slow. Catch and release snook fishing remains good at the pier, especially early and late. A few kingfish have been cruising by the end of the pier late in the afternoon, with a Rapala X-Rap the top lure choice to throw at them. Pretty good number son blue runners around as well. Sandperch and a few croakers have been showing up in the trough late in the afternoon, with pieces of fresh shrimp a top bait choice for them.

OFFSHORE- Dolphin fishing seemed to slow a bit this week offshore; but still a fair number of fish around for those putting in the time. A little deeper (Outside of 800') seemed to be working better for the dolphin. The coming full moon next Wednesday will hopefully have the wahoo biting this weekend. Seaweed has made all types of wahoo trolling tough; so hopefully it cleans up enough to get the planers or high sped gear out. A few (slightly random) big blackfin tuna this week in 150-250' of water. The bonita will no doubt be devouring everything along the 120' ledge from the Juno Beach Pier to Jupiter Inlet. Snapper fishing remains decent this week, with some pretty good mutton reports coming in. Mangrove snapper fishing should also improve this weekend ahead of the full moon.

INSHORE- Catch and release snook fishing remains the main attraction inshore these days. While the best numbers of snook will be in the inlets, a fair number will still be caught in the Loxahatchee River and ICW as well. During the day it's primarily live baits, especially in the inlet. The snook bite at night around the bridges has been fair as well. The top of the outgoing tide is the best bet for the snook, especially if targeting bigger snook with flair hawks or swimbaits. Snapper action inshore this week was fair, and it should be good this week as well as the moon gets bigger.

SURF/PIER- Surf fishing remains relatively slow, not an uncommon theme for mid summer. Catch and release snook fishing has been fair, especially first thing in the morning. Small twitch baits (in a pilchard color)l, paddle tails, and small white jigs are great lure choices for fishing snook along the beach. The Juno Beach Pier has been producing some fish this week. Catch and release snook fishing has been pretty good, especially first thing in the morning and later in the afternoon. A few bonita have still been coming through, along with a kingfish or two late in the afternoon. Swimming plugs (Rapala X-Rap or Yo-Zuri Mag Speed) are both great choices. Sandperch and a few croaker have been biting in the first trough on small pieces of fresh shrimp.

OFFSHORE- Still a scattered dolphin bite offshore, with the better numbers seeming to come out a bit deeper. 800-1200' of water has been fairly consistent on the dolphin. Scattered seaweed has made trolling tough, so look for clean areas with well defined weediness for best results. Small ballyhoo, squid, and bonita strips are all good bait choices. Sailfish action has been very good north of Jupiter Inlet (Better up towards St. Luice Inlet), with many boats getting multiple chances a day. Most of the sailfish will be a bit deeper with 200-250' being a good range to start looking. In along the 120' ledge the bonita (And sharks) are wreaking havoc on anything /everything crossing their paths!!! Kingfish action has been very scattered. Fair bottom fishing reports this week, with a few good buttons being caught by those putting the time in.

INSHORE- Overall somewhat tough fishing inshore (Not at all uncommon for this time of year). The Loxahatchee River will have a few snook during the day, but most of the snook will be in/around the inlets. The best snook action will be in the inlets, especially on the top of the outgoing tide. Live croakers, sand perch, and mullet are all top bait choices for the snook in the inlet. At night the snook have been biting flair hawk jigs around the bridges. A few scattered mangrove snapper around inshore, with the best action on them coming at night.

SURF/PIER- The surf has been relatively tough to fish this week with the seaweed. The Juno Beach Pier has been the better play. Snook fishing has been good first thing in the morning and then again late in the afternoon. Bonita are still being caught off the end of the pier. Long casting swimming plugs have been producing well. Live baits are always a good way to go as well. Sandperch, and a few croakers, have started to bite a little better in close. Small pieces of shrimp is the way to go for them.

FRI...SW winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming S 10 to 15 kt in the afternoon. Seas around 2 ft in the morning, then 1 foot or less. Wave Detail: SW 1 foot at 3 seconds and N 1 foot at 5 seconds. Intracoastal waters light chop. A chance of showers and tstms in the afternoon.

Juno Bait's "July 4th Weekend Fishing Outlook"

OFFSHORE- Fishing remains good offshore headed into the holiday weekend. Dolphin fishing remains good; with the best reports coming in from outside of 800', but some fish being caught shallower as well. Most of the dolphin have been on the smaller side, with a handful of bigger fish in the mix. The trick has been finding well formed weedlines and clean water, as scattered weeds have made trolling tough. The usual assortment of small ballyhoo, bonita strips, and squid are all good choices for the dolphin. The backside of the full moon has been producing a few wahoo. The scattered weed has made wahoo trolling tough, but those fighting through it have been finding a few. Kingfish action has been a little better along the 120' ledge this week. Bonita have been very solid from the Juno Beach Pier to Jupiter Inlet n 150' of water. Snapper fishing has been good this week. 70-90' of water seems to be producing best n the bottom, with some nice yellowtail and mutton snapper being caught. Sardines, squid, and bonita chunks are the way to go on the bottom.

INSHORE- Catch and release snook fishing has been pretty good inshore. A bulk of the snook will be in and around Jupiter and Palm Beach Inlets. Live baits (croakers, sand perch, mullet, sardines, pilchards) is the best way to go for the snook during the day, especially while fishing in the inlets. At night the snook will bite flair hawk jigs and bigger swimbaits, especially on an outgoing tide. Docklights will be holding a decent number of smaller snook at night as well. Small shrimp imitations are always a good choice when fishing docklights. The snook will generally bite on incoming or outgoing tide; just need some moving water. Mangrove snapper continue to bite at night in the ICW. Live shrimp and small pilchards are a great bait option for the snapper.

SURF/PIER- Scattered weed has made fishing a little tough along the beach this week, but those dealing with it have been finding a few snook around. The snook have also been biting well at the Juno Beach Pier. Best bite on the snook will be first thing in the morning and then again at closing time. The bonita have still been around the pier in good numbers. A long casting plug, diamond jig, or GT Ice Cream are great lure options for the bonita from the pier. The tarpon continue to cruise up the beach as well. A well placed live bait is the way to go for the tarpon. Croaker and sand perch have been biting pieces of fresh shrimp in the first trough.

FRI...S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas around 2 ft. Wave Detail: N 2 ft at 6 seconds and SE 1 foot at 3 seconds. Intracoastal waters light chop. A chance of showers and tstms in the morning.

OFFSHORE- Dolphin fishing remains pretty good, with most of the better reports seeming to come from 800-1200' of water. Southeast winds in the forecast should keep the dolphin fishing good headed into the weekend. Trolling small ballyhoo, bonita strips, and squid has been working well for the dolphin. With a decent number of dolphin still around a handful of blue marlin have been in the area as well. Blackfin tuna reports clicked back up a bit off Palm Beach Inlet this week in 250-300' of water. The full moon has everybody thinking about wahoo right now. A few wahoo reports have come in this week; and conditions look great headed into the weekend. Troilling a seawitch/bonita strip behind a planer is always a great way to go for the wahoo; with high speed trolling also being a great way to go. Kingfish action picked up this week, with some pretty solid catches coming in along the 120' ledge. The bonita are here in massive numbers from the Juno Beach Pier to Jupiter Inlet. Snapper fishing remains good, with some nice mutton snapper coming up this week.

INSHORE- Catch and release snook fishing remains the best bet inshore these days. Most action is going to happen in and around the inlets right now. During the day live baits are the best bet for the snook, with sand perch and croakers being top producers. At night the snook have been biting flair hawks and swimbaits well. The water overall has been very clear, so fishing later into the outgoing tide seems to be working the best when the water gets a little ore color to it. Mangrove snapper have been biting around the bridges at night.

SURF/PIER- Snook fishing has been very good this week; both along the beach and at the Juno Beach Pier. Best action on the snook will be early morning and late afternoon. Live croakers and sand perch are a solid bait choice for the snook, with sardines and pilchards also working well. During the day smaller jigs, swimbaits, and twitch baits are good lure choices for the snook. At night a bigger flair hawk or swimbait is a great way to go. Stay with lighter weights to keep the lures from digging into the sand too much. The bonita have been cruising past the end of the pier in schools. A long casting lure like a Rapala X-Rap, Yo-Zuri Mag Speed, or GT Ice Cream is a great way to go for targeting the bonita. Tarpon have still been cruising down the beach in pretty good numbers. Early morning tends to be best bet for the tarpon.

Offshore- Dolphin fishing remained good this week. Size seemed to fall off just a bit on the dolphin, but numbers remained good. Depth on the dolphin has been all over the place; with reports coming in from 100' to over a 1000'. Sailfish action has been good again this week in 250-350' of water. Blackfin tuna action has almost dried up off Palm Beach/Jupiter; but remains pretty good up to the north. The bonita are all over the 120' ledge in big numbers. The biggest concentration of bonita have been from the Juno Beach Pier to Jupiter Inlet. Kingfish action remains sporadic; but they have popped off a few afternoons. Bottom fishing has been fair this week, with some good mutton snapper reports coming in.

Inshore- Catch and release snook fishing remains good inshore. Most of the snook have pushed towards the inlets; and they overall are ready to eat. During the day live baits remain the best play on the snook. At night the snook have been fired up on bigger swimbaits and flair hawk jigs, especially on outgoing tide. A few jacks and a possible tarpon mixed in with the snook. Mangrove snapper action has been fair at night around the bridges; with live shrimp and pilchards being the top bait choices.

Surf/Pier- Snook action has been good along the beach and at the Juno Beach Pier this week. During the day the snook have been fired up on live sardines and croakers; with a chunk of sardine or bonita working well also. At night the snook are biting flair along the beach. Tarpon have still been cruising the beach as well. Early morning gives you the best chance at the tarpon. Still some good schools of jacks cruising the beach. Croaker have been biting decent in the first trough.

OFFSHORE- Fishing remained good offshore this week. Dolphin fishing slowed a bit: but still a decent number of them around. More consistent mahi fishing will be out deeper, with 800-1200' seeming to produce the best numbers (and size) of dolphin. A few blackfin tuna coming up in 250-350' of water off Palm Beach; with better numbers of tuna being caught to the north. Summertime sailfish action has been very good this week as well. Summertime sails are generally out a little deeper, with 300-400' of water being a good area to look. Sailfish action seems to be better from Jupiter Inlet north. Live sardines are a top bait choice for the sails. Kingfish action remains very spotty along the 120' ledge. Bonita have fully invaded the 120' ledge as well. Snapper fishing has been good this week, with some good muttons being caught.

INSHORE- Catch and release snook fishing has been good this week inshore. Most of the snook are going to be in and around the inlets these days. Best action will be at night on the snook. The bridges have been best on outgoing tide for the snook, with a few mangrove snapper in the mix as well. A few jacks cruising around inshore, with the occasional tarpon possible as well. Summertime gets a little tough on the inshore fishing; go early and late for the best results.

SURF/PIER- Snook fishing has been good in the inlet and at the Juno Beach Pier this week. Best action on the snook has been early morning and then again late in the afternoon. A few jacks continue to cruise down the beach, along with some tarpon. Croakers and sand perch have been biting well along the beach in the first trough on small pieces of shrimp.

OFFSHORE- A bit all over the place weather wise still; but fishing remains solid when conditions allow it. Good dolphin fishing in 800-1000' of water; though stronger east winds could help blow them in a little shallower this weekend. Blackfin tuna action has slowed down in 250-350' of water; but still a handful of them around for those putting the time in. Blackfin action remains good up north; with Push Button Hill producing fair numbers. Summer time sailfish action has ben good, with a lot of sails in the 200-300' of water. While the sails will come up to the surface to smoke a kite bait; a well presented deep bait is the better way to go for them. Kingfish action has been very slow along the 120' ledge. Bonita have shown up in large numbers over the past couple of weeks. Bottom fishing has been fair, with a decent mix of snapper around.

INSHORE- Catch and release snook fishing has been pretty solid this week. A good mix of options available for the snook; with a fair number of snook in the ICW and Loxahatchee River, around the bridges, and in the Jupiter and Palm Beach Inlets. If you are fishing during the day for snook the best bet is typically going to be live bait. Sunrise, sunset and ahead of approaching storms the snook will get a little more active and may smash a topwater plug walked along a seawall or mangrove ambush point. At night the snook will get a little more frisky, and often take a wider variety of lures. Summertime is a great time to experiment with different lures; flair hawk jigs, swimbaits, glide baits, and a host of others all come into play during the summer time. As usual expect some jacks, and maybe a few tarpon to be mixed in with the snook. A mid week swell did help push a little wave of snapper inshore; with some muttons (pretty much all short), mangrove, and lane snapper around.

SURF/PIER- We are most definitely into summertime patterns along the beach; though the east winds this weekend could trigger one last late late season bite on the pompano. While most people have put the surf rods away till the fall; those putting them out this weekend may find a few pomps cruising by. Catch and release snook fishing has started to improve along the beach (though conditions have been up and down fishability wise), with some fair numbers of snook starting to cruise through the trough. Small swimming plugs, twitch baits, and mid size paddle tails are all great options for snook along the beach. The Juno Beach Pier snook bite has started to improve as well this week; especially on days when the bait has been around. A few summertime pompano have been around the pier as well this week, with the best bite coming first thing in the morning. (NOTE: The Juno Beach Pier has started a re-planking project. While the pier will remain open during construction, sections of the pier will be closed off. At time of writing half of the T is closed)

OFFSHORE- Reports have been a little slim to start the week; though things are looking up heading into the weekend. Dolphin fishing has slowed down a bit, with most of the reports coming from out deeper (800-1000' of water). Southwest winds in the forecast will likely keep that trend up. Blackfin Tuna action has started to slow a bit. Still decent Blackfin Tuna bite up to the north. Big hope this weekend will be for a strong wahoo bite. The full moon is Sunday, the seaweed has thinned out a bit, and the ocean forecast is favorable...should hopefully be hearing about a lot of wahoo being caught. Trolling a planer with a sea-witch and bonita strip combo is a great way to go for the wahoo. Kingfish action remains fair along the 120' ledge. The full moon should have them biting good first thing in the morning and then again later in the afternoon. Snapper fishing reports have been slower this week, though that should improve this weekend as well.

INSHORE- Snook season comes to a close this weekend. Last chance for a few months to invite one home for dinner. Snook fishing has been good this week, and that should continue into the weekend. A fair number of snook in the Loxahatchee River, with those fishing mullet along seawalls finding some solid fish. The snook have also been around the bridges at night, especially bridges closer to inlets. The snook are moving towards the inlets to spawn, and they are eating just about anything that gets in their way. The snook will likely be fairly stacked in both the Palm Beach and Jupiter Inlets with the full moon this weekend. Mangrove snapper fishing remains fair in the ICW.

SURF/PIER- Surf fishing remained a bit slow this week. A few more snook starting to show up along the beach, and conditions do look good to to target them headed into the weekend. A smaller swimbait (Like the JYG Pro 3" Chubby) is a top lure choice in the surf. The Juno Beach Pier has had some fish around this week as well. The snook have been biting live baits at the pier, especially late in the afternoon. Conditions have looked good for a few kingfish to come cruising by the pier late in the afternoon looking for a Rapala X-Rap. Been a decent number of moonfish around the pier this week as well. A few croaker and whiting in the first trough.

Juno Bait's "Memorial Day Weekend Fishing Outlook"

OFFSHORE- A combination of less than ideal ocean conditions and a holiday weekend coming up has kept offshore reports to a minimum this week. Those making it out have still been finding a fair amount of dolphin. Most of the dolphin have been on the smaller side, with the better catches coming farther offshore. East/Southeast winds in the forecast for the weekend though could help push the dolphin in a little closer. Blackfin tuna action remains good in 200-300' of water, especially early in the morning and then late in the afternoon. Kingfish action seemed to slow down a bit this week, but still a fair number along the 120' ledge. Best bite on the kingfish will be early morning and late afternoon as well. No wahoo reports to speak of this week, though a growing moon could help get them biting better as the weekend goes on. Some solid mutton snapper reports coming in this week.

INSHORE- Snook fishing has been good inshore this week. The snook are in a pre-spawn pattern, hungry, and ready to eat! The snook are starting to push towards the inlets in good numbers. During the day the snook have been eating live pilchards and mullet along seawalls. A few hungry jacks cruising the seawalls that will grab the same live baits as well. At night the bridges have been producing well. Later into the outgoing tide seems to be the key as it helps cut down on the seaweed. Mangrove snapper action has been fair inshore this week.

SURF/PIER- Surf fishing reports have been a bit slim this week, with seaweed making fishing on the tough side. The Juno Beach Pier however has had a decent amount of life around this week: And while the seaweed has been annoying it has still been fishable. Some solid schools of big jacks making it down the beach, with at least a few of them willing to chase down a Rapala X-Rap or Yo-Zuri Mag Speed. First light and the last hour or two before closing has produced a handful of kingfish on the same plugs. Snook fishing has been heating up (only a week left in season), with the snook starting to eat live baits better. Speaking of bait; it has been in and out, but overall the bait does seem to be getting more consistent by the day. A few permit cruised by the Juno Beach Pier this week as well. Croaker and whiting have been biting small pieces of fresh shrimp decently in the first trough.

FRI...SE winds around 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Wave Detail: SE 3 ft at 5 seconds. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop.

OFFSHORE- Fishing remained pretty good this week offshore (Didn't quite match last week; but still pretty solid). Dolphin reports slowed a bit, with most of the reports coming from out deep (1000' plus) and the fish being scattered. East wind in the forecast for the weekend could shake that up a bit. Blackfin Tuna bite remains pretty good in 200-300' of water. The bigger tuna have been coming on a vertical jig (JYG Pro Stryke or Nomad Streaker) or a live bait fished 25-50' down. A decent number of blackfin, mostly smaller, coming trolling small lures and feathers. A Ballyhood "Tuna Taco" or "All-Star" is a great lure choice. Kingfish bite has been very good along the 120' ledge; with the best bite popping off right at sunrise for an hour or two. Some pretty solid mutton snapper reports coming in from 90-100' of water. Sardines or a fresh bonita chunk will be top bait choices for the snapper.

INSHORE- Not a huge amount to write about inshore wise this week. Snook fishing remains the best bet inshore. Don't forget snook season is winding down (closes June 1st). The next couple weeks are prime time for the snook as they stage up in a pre-spawn/early spawn pattern. The snook will be hungry and headed towards the inlets. Best action will largely happen at night, with bridges closer to inlets being a top choice. Outgoing tide will likely produce the best; but don't overlook incoming tide if the water has some color to it. Larger swimbaits and flair hawks are great lure choices as the snook are readily hitting bigger baits these days. Mangrove snapper action has picked up a bit more inshore as well. Look for the snapper to also bite better at night, with love shrimp and smaller live pilchards being top bait choices.

SURF/PIER- The Juno Beach Pier has had a decent amount of action this week. The live baits continue to push in and out; and the snook have taken notice. When the bait pushes in the snook have been biting. Some solid schools of jacks continuing to push down the beach as well. Early morning and late afternoon has some kingfish cruising around the end of the pier as well. A large swimming plug (Rapala X-Rap or Yo-Zuri Mag Speed) is the way to go for the kings and jacks. No pompano reports to really speak of this week; but east winds in the forecast for the weekend should have some late season pomps hitting the sand.

OFFSHORE- Really good dolphin fishing this week offshore. Solid bite in 300-500' of water; though plenty of fish shallower and deeper as well. Trolling small ballyhoo, squid, and bonita strips has been very productive on the dolphin. Setting up a drift on productive looking area and chumming and chunking some sardines has also been bringing the dolphin to the boat. Most of the dolphin have been along the several well formed weed lines; though don't overlook any good looking rip or edge as well. Blackfin Tuna action remains solid in 200-300' of water. Kingfish action remains tough, with the big springtime push of fish not quite materializing as it should. Some decent mutton snapper reports coming in from 90-100' of water; with the occasional cobia mixed in as well. Overall pretty good fishing this week; well worth a trip if you can make it out!

INSHORE- Snook action remains pretty good inshore. The snook are most definitely in a pre spawn pattern and have been eating well. Best action, as usual, will be at night; though a few will be caught during the day as well. During the day it's a live bait along seawalls and under boat docks kind of bite. At night look for the snook to be stacked up along bridge shadow lines and under dock lights. Anywhere a little deeper with a good current and a shadow line is a great place to sweep a flair hawk jig or swim a bigger straight tail. Under docklights smaller swimming plugs or shrimp imitating lures are the way to go.

SURF/PIER- Good pompano fishing again along the beach this week. Seaweed made it a bit tough; but those fighting through the weeds have been rewarded with some very good catches. Still hearing a few reports of pomps to the south; so could possibly see a few more solid weeks of pompano action ahead. The Juno Beach Pier has been producing a few pompano (Primarily early morning) as well. The pier has also had a good number of jacks cruising through; with the occasional Spanish Mackerel and late season bluefish around as well. A handful of snook biting at the Juno Beach Pier as well; should only get better as we wind down the last few weeks of snook season.

OFFSHORE- Good fishing offshore this week, with a pretty solid mixed bag of action. Dolphin fishing has been very good in 300-600' of water; with solid reports coming in from Palm Beach Inlet to north of Jupiter Inlet. Some well formed weediness have good numbers of dolphin around, including a handful that need a gaff. Trolling the usual assortment of squid, strips, and ballyhoo is a solid way to go for the dolphin. Keep a road ready to toss at followers, as they are starting to school up ion some better numbers. Blackfin Tuna action remains very good in 200-300' of water. Better reports on the tuna are still coming from up north (Push Button Hill), but a solid number locally for those putting the time in. The moon has the wahoo biting very good this week! Trolling the sea-witch/bonita strip behind the planer has been the best bet for the wahoo; with a few coming on live baits. Kingfish action along the 120' ledge remains good. Mutton snapper have been biting good along the 120' ledge, with some really good size fish around. Sardines, fresh ones if you can catch them, are the bait of choice on the bottom.

INSHORE- The snook fishing has been good inshore this week. A fair number of springtime mullet, warming water/weather, and pre-spawn behavior has the snook ready to eat; and ready to eat bigger baits at that! Fishing live mullet along seawalls and under boat docks in the Loxahatchee is a great way to go during the day. At night the snook will be on docklights and around the bridges. Great time of year to get solid bits on the flair hawk and bigger swimbaits (don't overlook a large straight tail plastic...we really like the JYG Pro Y-Tail). Outgoing tide tends to produce the most action, but don't overlook incoming tide if the water has some color to it. Mixed in with the snook have been a few big jacks, and the occasional tarpon. Mangrove snapper are starting to bite a little better around the bridges as well. A small live pilchard or live shrimp is a top bait choice for the snapper.

SURF/PIER- Pompano fishing remains good along the beach. Seaweed has made conditions tough to fish; but when it gets fishable the pomps are around. Sandfleas, fresh shrimp, and FishBites seem to be the top bait choice for the pompano. Early and late will be the best time of day, though watching the tide and fishing around the seaweed(the last of outgoing seems to be the most "fishable") will also be productive. The Juno Beach Pier has been alive this week, with a good mix of action. Pompano have been biting Doc's Goofy jigs well. The live bait is starting to show back up at the Pier as well. With the bait will come an assortment of life. Snook fishing has started to improve. A few bonita showing up with the bait, along with the occasional kingfish. Some solid schools of big jacks pushing down the beach as well. Fun time of year to throw a Rapala X-Rap or Yo-Zuri Mag Speed early in the morning and late in the afternoon. Croaker fishing remains good in the first trough, with fresh shrimp the bait of choice.

Juno Bait's "Weekend Fishing Outlook"

OFFSHORE- Rougher weather early in the week did keep reports a bit slower; but conditions look great headed into the weekend. The past few weeks have provided a fair mixed bag of springtime action. This is a great time of year offshore; with dolphin, wahoo, tuna, kingfish, and sailfish all being realistic possibilities. The sailfish bite has been a touch slow, with only a handful of scattered reports coming in. No dolphin reports to speak of this week. Blackfin Tuna reports remain pretty good in 200-300' of water. The best tuna bite will be up north(Push Button Hill); but a fair number of tuna have been caught locally. Kingfish action remains good along the 120' ledge. Best bite on the kings will no doubt go off as the sun comes up and then again at sunset. Scattered wahoo reports keep coming in; with no pattern, rhyme, or reason to them! No bottom reports to speak of early in the week; but conditions do look great headed into the weekend. Great time of year to bag a big mutton snapper! Sardines, as always, remain a top bait choice when your bottom fishing.

INSHORE- Some decent inshore reports coming in this week. Snook fishing improved a bit this week, with a few more snook starting to move towards the inlets. The snook are in a pre-spawn mood which means they are ready to eat! A fair amount of mullet around inshore has helped the snook pop off as well. Look for the best action on the snook to come at night, especially around the bridges. Fishing the first of the outgoing tide should provide the best luck on the snook. The ICW in Hobe Sound has been producing a good mixed bag of action for those fishing live shrimp on the edges of the channel and in deeper holes. Using the shrimp on a jighead (A yellowtail candy jighead works perfect for this) is a simple effective way to present the shrimp. All kinds of species are possible when fishing shrimp this way.

SURF/PIER- On a very positive note...Water cleared up as the week went on, and conditions look great headed into the weekend! Pompano action ticked back up this week; with reports of good numbers of fish coming from the south as well. Best pompano action has been early morning and then again late in the afternoon. From the beach the usual bait assortment of fresh shrimp, sand fleas, clams, and FIshBites. The same baits are always a good choice from the Juno Beach Pier, with Doc's Goofy Jigs also being a solid lure choice for the pompano. Late season bluefish continue to pass through in good schools at both the Juno Beach Pier and Jupiter Inlet. Good schools of jacks, including some bruisers, have been cruising by the Juno Beach Pier this week. A well presented Yo-Zuri Mag Speed or Rapala X-Rap is a good choice for the passing jacks. A few more snook showing up at the Juno Beach Pier this week as well. Cut bait (primarily sardines) remain the top producer, but as the water warms they will get more active. A small amount of bait showing up this week as well.

OFFSHORE- Nicer looking forecast for the upcoming weekend. Reports have been a bit slim due to the weather; but those getting out have been finding some pretty good fishing. Starting to get some more dolphin reports; with depths seeming to bounce from 200-800' depending on conditions. Trolling small ballyhoo, bonita strips, and squid should all work for the dolphin. Sailfish bite remains good in 120-250' of water. Live baits under the kite are the way to go for the sailfish. Blackfin Tuna bite remains good in 200-300' of water. Live baits fished down deep or a vertical jig are the way to go for the tuna. Kingfish have continued to fill in along the 120' ledge. Bottom fishing reports have been a bit slim this week; but conditions look great headed into the weekend. Great time of year for the muttons, including some big ones, to start biting. Sardines are a great bait choice for the snapper.

INSHORE- Snook fishing improved a bit this week. The snook have been eating mullet in the Loxahatchee River along seawalls during the day; with a few big jacks cruising around as well. The snook have also started to bite better at night around the bridges. Warmer weather has the snook more inclined to bite bigger swimbaits and flair hawk jigs. A handful of snook starting to sniff around the inlets as well. Mangrove snapper reports have ticked up a bit as well.

SURF/PIER- Pompano fishing fired back off this week. The best pompano action came from the Juno Beach Pier early in the week; though the surf bite has started to improve later into the week. From the beach it's been sand fleas, fresh shrimp, and FishBites for the pompano; with the best bite going down early morning and then again late in the afternoon. The same baits are working well from the Pier; with a good number of fish coming over the rail on Doc's Goofy Jigs as well. Brighter colors (Orange or green) have been the ticket for the Doc's Goofy Jigs. Some decent schools of bluefish still cruising through. Getting a bit late in the year for the bluefish; but they haven't left completely yet. A few scattered schools of jacks cruising down the beach this week as well. The snook have been biting as little bit at the pier, with the best luck coming with dead sardines on the bottom.
