We raise them to send them on their way.

For me there was a grief to this season that I didn’t fully anticipate, and I had to work my way through it to the other side.

And the other side brought more joy and even more FUN with my grown children that I couldn’t have anticipated either.

I sent them on their way because I had to, but they eventually found their way back to me, again and again, and it is the most wonderful thing in the world.

So if you find yourself in that “letting go” season, which honestly happens incrementally and then all at once, it seems, know this:

It’s gonna be good, Mom.

This might be one of those “trust the process” moments.

🙄If you’re already rolling your eyes at the word peptides, we get it…It seems like every other conversation about health, weight loss, or wellness somehow circles back to injections, GLP-1s, or the most popular peptide of the week.

The peptide conversation has gotten loud - or maybe it’s more like white noise in the background that nobody understands or is paying attention to.

But what about the peptides nobody really knows about?

The peptides that already exist in nature, the peptides that DO survive the gut, that DON’T require a needle or prescription?

💉Believe it or not, GLP-1s, GLP-3s, BPC-157, the “wolverine stack”, etc aren’t the only peptides out there. And they certainly aren’t the only ones being studied, and being used, for body composition, muscle health, inflammation and recovery.

🧬Did you know that the human body contains THOUSANDS of naturally occurring peptides? Did you know that plants make them? Food contains them? And that they’ve been part of biology—and medicine—for a VERY LONG time. *Insulin is a peptide, by the way!

This conversation covered everything from GLP-1s, to muscle health, sarcopenia, sleep (**wait till you hear about the peptide from brown rice that is completely changing sleep😴!!), recovery, inflammation, digestion, quality, and why the source and structure of a peptide matter so much more than you think.

We talked about why “natural” doesn’t automatically mean safe, “synthetic” doesn’t automatically mean bad, and “it worked for me” doesn’t mean it’s right for you.

🧬At their most basic level, peptides are small chains of amino acids that can act as biological messengers — communicating signals to specific cells and receptors throughout the body.

We love how Dr. Mark Bartlett, Ph.D. and Dr Alan Jones, phD explained peptides, which gave us not only a deeper understanding of peptides, but also made us look at them from a new perspective.

🩺Dr. Bartlett has spent decades in research, immunology, including work with the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Alan Jones specializes in muscle health, sarcopenia and peptide research. So we knew when we sat down with them to talk about peptides, this wasn’t going to be just another conversation about the latest peptide trend.

We wanted to go back to the very beginning.

*What exactly IS a peptide?

*How do these tiny chains of amino acids actually communicate with our cells?

*What’s the difference between synthetic peptides and peptides found in nature?

*How does the science, safety, efficacy compare?

*What is our very first peptide exposure at birth?

*Do all peptides need to be injected?

*Did God & nature already give us some incredibly interesting biological signals that we’re just beginning to understand?

‼️First things first: This was NOT an anti-GLP-1 conversation!!!

We actually think it is critically important to understand why GLP-1 medications work and why so many people have found them helpful.

GLP-1 is a hormone-like peptide signal involved in things like appetite, digestion and blood sugar regulation. The problem is that the conversation has become incredibly black and white… most people are either:

“GLP-1s are AMAZING!” or “GLP-1s are TERRIBLE!”

And obviously, it’s just not that simple. There CAN be an in between. There are pros and cons, and people just need to have more understanding and education so they can be fully informed.

One of the most interesting things Dr. Bartlett explained was the difference between the way our bodies naturally produce and break down certain peptide signals and the way some synthetic versions have been engineered.

For example, our natural peptide signals are generally short-lived and temporary. The body sends the message…The message does its job…And then the peptide is broken down. (like Snapchat 😆)

🔬And what makes synthetic peptides so powerful is that they have been modified so that they remain active much longer. This doesn’t equate to “dangerous” or “better”, this just shows how they work and what it could mean for its intended use and function.

🌱The same can be said for “natural” as well, just as Dr Jones stated…

“Just because something is ‘natural’ doesn’t automatically mean it is harmless.”

There are incredibly powerful peptides found in nature. Some can be beneficial. Some can be harmful. Some can even be deadly…Which means we should RESPECT them. Whether they’re synthetic…or natural.

One of the biggest questions is: CAN PEPTIDES SURVIVE THE GUT?

When it comes to nature- derived peptides that are INGESTED rather than INJECTED, this is one of the biggest objections and areas of skepticism. Because most people don’t believe that peptides can survive digestion.

But - NEWSFLASH - Some…in fact A LOT - can!!!

While it is true that some peptides are extremely fragile and broken down quickly, others have structures that make them more resistant to breakdown, and some naturally occurring peptides have characteristics that help them survive the gastrointestinal process.

Think about it. Because it DOES make sense.

Nature has been making peptides for a VERY long time. And humans have been eating plants and animals containing peptides forever…including at birth (COLOSTRUM).

So the question isn’t “Can ANY peptide survive digestion?”… what we should ask is..

“Which peptides can survive digestion, in what form, at what dose, and can they actually reach the appropriate receptor and create the intended signal?”

This is where Dr Bartlett’s story is so fun and fascinating…he is a self described “planty” with phD in photosynthesis. While in the lab working on cures for cancer, and studying the fascinating healing and protective power of plants, he had an epiphany

“Am I going to spend my whole career curing disease, or should I spend my whole career stopping people from getting sick in the first place”

This eventually led him to the world of bioactive precision peptides - peptides found in nature, like fava bean, brown rice, hibiscus peptides - that play a huge role in areas like Muscle health, Inflammation, Sleep, Recovery, Metabolic health, Brain health, Skin and beauty, Joint health, and so much more.

MUSCLE HEALTH IS a Matter of Life or Death

This is not an exaggeration - this is a fact that most people are not aware of - but once you listen to this episode, you will realize just how critically important it is to prioritize muscle health over anything else…

This is not about “getting toned”, losing weight, or “bulking up”

The consequences of inactivity, poor food and life choices, lead to something called sarcopenia—the loss of muscle mass, strength, and function.

This may not seem too bad to you, but lets talk about why this matters so much more than you think…

The downstream effects of progressive sarcopenia include…

• Slower metabolism

• Increased fat gain

• Hormonal disruption

• Weak bones

• Brain fog

• Higher risk of chronic disease

• Loss of independence later in life

Basically EVERY SINGLE function in your body is related to your muscle health. It is the MOST POWERFUL endocrine organ in your body.

Every time you contract a muscle, it releases signaling compounds called myokines—and these impact:

• Your brain (cognitive function, mood, dementia risk)

• Your metabolism (fat burning, insulin sensitivity)

🦠As we enter the season of excess mucus production🤧 and viruses galore, we need to be FULLY INFORMED of the true risks and benefits of not only the illnesses that spread like wildfire, but also of the “miraculous” prevention and “treatments” that are pushed by our “public health” officials and doctors…and even more importantly, we need to be informed of what ACTUALLY works to prevent illness, transmission and severity of symptoms.

We have had a couple of incredible, eye opening and informative episodes with one of our favorite doctors and friends, Dr Cammy Benton, where she shared her jaw dropping discoveries straight from the CDC (If you haven’t heard this episode or read the substack - you’re going to want to check it out and share).

🩺With the fear mongering and vaccine propaganda already in full force, we knew we needed to prioritize getting the FACTS to the public and arming you with knowledge to be prepared -mentally and physically to walk into this season fearless and fully prepared. So we turned to the amazing Dr Ben to talk to us all about the flu - the facts, stats, prevention, and early treatment. This is an episode you will want to hear and share with everyone.

We started with a clip that shows the utter hypocrisy and ridiculousness of the entire flu vaccine agenda… Just listen and try not to roll your eyes 🙄- we dare you.

The first thing that stood out to Dr Ben was “Some protection better than no protection” yet she mentioned nothing about diet, exercise, Vitamin D, etc - just the one and only “miracle” cure - the Flu vaccine.

But when we talk about “some protection” - are we talking about the 16% effectiveness of the flu vaccine just a few years ago? Or what about the NEGATIVE efficacy of the flu vaccine last year? - Yes - NEGATIVE - this means that you were MORE likely to get the flu if you are vaccinated than if you are not vaccinated.

“over the course of the study the cumulative incidence of influenza increased more rapidly among the vaccinated than the unvaccinated. In an analysis adjusted for age, sex, clinical nursing job, and employment location, the risk of influenza was significantly higher for the vaccinated compared to the unvaccinated state (HR, 1.27; 95% C.I., 1.07 – 1.51; P = 0.007), yielding a calculated vaccine effectiveness of −26.9% (95% C.I., −55.0 to −6.6%).”

Can explain the reasoning here? Or tell us how that can prevent hospitalizations and death?

Or can someone show us the study that proves that getting the flu shot will protect grandma or the immunocompromised? Because this study shows the opposite..

“among adults who caught the flu from a household member, a significant majority (82%) had been vaccinated, suggesting a failure to prevent transmission. In other words, hospital influenza vaccine campaigns do no protect workers or make the workplace safer”

We can go on and on, but to save space, go check out Dr Benton’s research on flu. Their website is a great resource for you to save as a reference. They also have some great natural remedies and prevention protocols.

PREVENTION AND IMMUNE SUPPORT

Dr Ben said the NUMBER ONE tip is SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP!

😴SLEEP is not rest - it is when the most Natural Killer cells are produced - aka your best IMMUNE defense!

Dr Schwartz also stressed the importance of eating for health and healing because FOOD is medicine, and you need to eat differently in different seasons. Not to mention prioritizing gut health, since 70% of your immune system is in your gut! If your gut isn’t healthy, you won’t be healthy!

An incredibly simple and very inexpensive thing you can do is Nasal washing and gargling - stop the virus where it starts. We recommend xylitol nasal spray, like XLEAR. There are lots of clinical studies supporting it’s effectiveness in killing viruses and even preventing ear infections. You can check out the studies and listen our episode with XLEAR CEO Nathan Jones.

You can also use neti pot with salt and clean, filtered water. We add a little betadine (povodine/iodine) to ours because of it’s viral killing properties. *It does stain so be careful! And you just need a little bit! They also have betadine nasal sprays as well, but making your own is a cheaper option.

We also gargle with diluted peroxide or povodine/iodine. DO NOT SWALLOW!! There is STRONG evidence showing the fast acting antiviral properties of Povodine/iodine

We have to stress the importance of paying attention to your child. You know him/her best. Be sure to keep them hydrated. That is most important! We always say “treat the child, not the fever”. And we aren’t saying to let the fever shoot up to 105 and just sit back and do nothing. What we are saying is do not panic the minute they get a fever! Fever is a good thing! That is your body doing what it is supposed to do! If you can let the fever run it’s course without interfering by using OTC fever reducing meds, healing will happen much quicker. You can do things to support your body’s natural defenses - such as WET SOCK METHOD. It sounds woo-woo, but it really works!

"Good evening. My name is Erika Kirk. Charlie Kirk is my husband. I first want to thank the local, state, and federal law enforcement who worked tirelessly to capture my husband's assassin so that he can be brought to justice. I want to thank the first responders who struggled heroically, heroically, to save Charles' life, and the police who acted bravely to make sure that there were no other victims on that terrible afternoon.

I want to thank the officers who have protected our Turning Point USA family these past two days. And I want to thank the Turning Point USA board, the COO Justin Streiff, and my husband's chief of staff, the amazing Mikey McCoy, for all their work in these terrible days to be the stability for our family and for the wider Turning Point USA family as well. My heart is with every one of my husband's employees who lost a friend and a mentor.

I wanna thank the staffers of this, his amazing Charlie Kirk Show, who helped him broadcast from this studio, this—

What he did. I wanna thank the millions of people who have shown their love for Charlie here in Phoenix, across America, and worldwide. I wanna thank my husband's dear friend, Vice President Vance, and his phenomenal wife, Usha, for their love and support. You guys honored my husband so well bringing him home.

You both are—I guess.

I wanna thank President Trump and his incredible family for the same. Mr. President, my husband loved you. And he knew that you loved him too. He did. Your friendship was amazing. You supported him so well. I stood here for you.

Two days ago, my husband, Charlie, went to see the face of his savior and his God. Charlie always said that when he was gone, he wanted to be remembered for his courage and for his faith. And one of the final conversations that he had on this earth, my husband witnessed for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Now and for all eternity, he will stand at his Savior's side, wearing the glorious crown of a martyr.

Charlie loved, loved life. He loved his life. He loved America. He loved nature, which helped him always bring him closer to God. He loved the Chicago Cubs. And my goodness, did he love the Oregon Ducks. He wanted me to say "Go Ducks," so I have to, since they play on Saturday. So—Go Ducks.

But most of all, Charlie loved his children. And he loved me with all of his heart, and I knew that. Every day, I knew that. He made sure I knew that every day. Every day he would ask me, how can I serve you better? How can I be a better husband? How can I be a better father every day?

Every day. He is such a good man. He still is a good man.

He was the perfect father. He was the perfect husband. Charlie always believed that God's design for marriage and the family was absolutely amazing, and it is. It is, and it was the greatest joy of his life. And over and over, he would tell all these young people to come and find their future spouse, become wives and husbands and parents. And the reason why is because he wanted you all to experience what he had. And still has.

He wanted everyone to bring heaven into this earth through love and joy that comes from raising a family. It's beautiful. Charlie always said that if he ever ran for office—I know a lot of you asked if he ever was going to—but privately, he told me if he ever did run for office that his top priority would be to revive the American family. That was his priority.

One of Charlie's favorite Bible verses was Ephesians 5, verse 25: "Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her." My husband laid down his life for me, for our nation, for our children. He showed the ultimate and true covenantal love.

I will never, ever have the words to describe the loss that I feel in my heart. I honestly have no idea what any of this means. I know that God does, but I don't. But Charlie, baby, I know you do too. I know you do. So it is, our Lord. And our world is filled with evil. But our God, you guys, our God is so good. He's so incredibly good. And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Already, I have seen the worldwide outpouring of love for my husband. I've heard the testimonies from people my husband inspired to get married, to start families, to seek out a relationship with God. It's the most important, most important one of them.

The evildoers responsible for my husband's assassination have no idea what they have done. They killed Charlie because he preached a message of patriotism, faith, and of God's merciful love. They should all know this: If you thought that my husband's mission was powerful before, you had no idea. You had no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country, in this world. You have no idea.

You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife. The cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry. To everyone listening tonight across America, the movement my husband built will not die. It won't. I refuse to let that happen. It will not die. All of us will refuse to let that happen. No one will ever forget my husband's name, and I will make sure of it.

It will become stronger, bolder, louder, and greater than ever. My husband's mission will not end, not even for a moment. And one of Charlie's greatest talents was his ability, this phenomenal ability, to choose great people to follow him. He could always find the ones who could handle any setback.

And it's almost like he knew—he just, he could see it in you. Even when you couldn't see it in yourself, he just knew. He knew you could handle it. You thought you only had five percent left, and he knew you had fifteen. He knew you were ready to go that extra mile even when you didn't.

He always challenged people around him to work harder and to be better. He never gave up. And I love knowing that one of his mottos was "Never surrender." So I wanna tell you that—that will never surrender. We never will. Ever. Ever.

Our campus tour this fall will continue. There will be even more tours in the years to come. America Fest here in Phoenix this December will go on. It will be greater than ever. The radio and podcast show that he was so proud of will go on. And in a world filled with chaos, doubt, and uncertainty, my husband's voice will remain, and it will ring out louder and more clearly than ever, and his wisdom will endure.

My favorite—my, my favorite too—but my husband's favorite word in the English language was "earn." He would call all of you to be people of action who earn the future America deserves. So to all of the young people who felt inspired by my husband's faith and hard work, all of you already know what Charlie would want you to do. You know?

If you're in high school or if you're in college, go find your local Turning Point USA chapter. Join it. Stay involved. He wants you to make a difference, and you can. You can. The movement's not going anywhere, and it will only grow stronger when you join it. If there isn't a chapter, you can't find one, then start one. There is no excuse. You can start one.

Charlie loved his Savior with all of his heart, and he wanted every one of you to know him too. He wanted everyone to know that if they confess—if they confess the Lord Jesus Christ who rose from the dead—then they will be saved. Hear me when I say this: Nobody is ever too young to know the gospel. Nobody.

Nobody is ever too young to get involved with saving this beautiful country, this country my husband loved and still loves. And nobody is ever too old either. There's no age limit. I know my husband is still here. He's watching over us. I don't remember the last time I slept. I couldn't sleep last night.

And Charlie, baby, Charlie, I promise, I will never let your legacy die, baby. I won't. I promise I'll make Turning Point USA the biggest thing that this nation has ever seen. I promise. Oh, Charlie, I love you. I love you, baby. Rest in the arms of our Lord, as He blanketed you with the words I know your heart always strived to hear: "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

When I got home last night, Gigi, our daughter, just ran into our arms. And I talked to her and she said, "Mommy, I missed you." I said, "I missed you too, baby." She goes, "Where's Daddy?"

What do you tell a three-year-old? She's three.

Say, "Baby, Daddy loves you so much. Don't you worry. He's on a—he's on a work trip with Jesus, so he can afford your blueberry budget." And my goodness, am I so humbled to witness Charlie, you alongside Jesus right now, doing what you always wanted to do, baby. Making heaven crowded. Right? That's what it's all about. Making heaven crowded.

I can't wait to see you again one day. Thank you all again who loved my husband, who supported him, who wrote him an email every single day during his radio show. He read all of them. All of them. God bless you all, and may God bless America."

This is not the death of Charlie…it is the birth of 1 Million Charlie Kirks.

This IS The Turning Point.

Charlie Kirk was assassinated, likely for exercising his freedom of speech and for promoting respectful discourse and the debate of conflicting views and opinions. We are gutted by this, as three people who respected his faith, his courage, and his willingness to debate openly and respectfully.

Breast cancer:

It was shown that TQ with piperine inhibited the proliferation of breast cancer cells through apoptosis induction, angiogenesis inhibition, and immune system stimulation [57]. TQ has also affected breast cancer by targeting the PPAR-γ pathway and inhibiting the migration and invasion of cancer cells [58]. Furthermore, TQ showed antiproliferative and pro-apoptotic potency on breast cancer through the suppression of anti-apoptotic proteins, such as survivin, Bcl-xL, and Bcl-2 [59].

Colon cancer:

It also reduced the migration of colon cancer cells by reducing the expression of the COX-2 gene. Similar results were obtained in an animal tumor xenograft model [13]. TQ had repressed the metastasis in the irinotecan-resistant (CPT-11-R) LoVo colon cancer cell line by inhibiting the phosphorylation of IKKa/b and NF-jB and activity of ERK1/2, as well as activating JNK and p38 [he results showed that the TQ–vitamin D3 combination significantly reduced pro-cancerous molecules (Wnt, β-catenin, NF-κB, COX-2, iNOS, VEGF and HSP-90) and more elevated anti-tumorigenesis biomarkers (

A combined treatment inhibited the proliferation through upregulating p53 and elevating the Bax/Bcl2 ratio and increasing DNA damage in a human colon cancer cell line (HT-29) [74].

• 2023 Sep, Das et al - A mechanistic insight into the potential anti-cancerous property of Nigella sativa on breast cancer through micro-RNA regulation: An in vitro & in vivo study

our findings also highlight the anti-migratory role of BSO in the breast cancer cells. Furthermore, our in vitro findings have also been validated in vivo which strongly justifies the anti-tumorigenic potential of BSO.

• 2023 Jan, Zhao et al - Advances in research on the relationship between thymoquinone and pancreatic cancer

• 2023 Dec, Sheikhnia et al - Potential anticancer properties and mechanisms of thymoquinone in colorectal cancer

natural agents like TQ have shown immense promise in advancing cancer treatment outcomes. Various studies have illustrated that TQ, through its capability to modulate different signaling pathways, can provide potent anti-cancer properties. The anti-inflammatory and antioxidant features of TQ have been well documented as capable of suppressing colorectal malignancies. Additionally, TQ may affect cellular processes such as apoptosis, angiogenesis, cell cycle, and proliferation, as well as metastasis, thereby enhancing its anticancer effects.

In summary, TQ stands as a promising natural therapeutic agent that can enhance the efficacy of existing cancer treatments while minimizing the associated adverse effects.
