“And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.”

There is a powerful expression here:

“At the set time.”

Abraham was one hundred years old. Sarah had reached an age when naturally having a child appeared impossible. Yet human impossibility did not cancel God’s promise.

Maybe you think too much time has passed.

But God’s clock is not running late.

A delayed promise is not necessarily a denied promise.

Keep believing.

Prayer: Lord, teach me to trust not only Your promises but also Your timing. Amen.

«Visitó Jehová a Sara, como había dicho, e hizo Jehová con Sara como había hablado. Y Sara concibió y dio a Abraham un hijo en su vejez, en el tiempo que Dios le había dicho.»

Hay una expresión poderosa aquí:

“En el tiempo que Dios le había dicho.”

Abraham tenía cien años. Sara había llegado a una edad en la que naturalmente parecía imposible tener un hijo. Sin embargo, la imposibilidad humana no canceló la promesa divina. La predicación enfatiza precisamente que Dios cumplió en el momento señalado.

Tal vez piensas que ha pasado demasiado tiempo.

Pero el reloj de Dios no está atrasado.

Una promesa que tarda no necesariamente es una promesa negada.

Sigue creyendo.

Oración: Señor, enséñame a confiar no solamente en Tus promesas, sino también en Tu tiempo. Amén.

«Y Sara concibió y dio a Abraham un hijo en su vejez, en el tiempo que Dios le había dicho.»

Abraham y Sara tenían una promesa, pero esperar se hizo difícil. Intentaron producir humanamente aquello que Dios había prometido hacer divinamente. La predicación utiliza su historia precisamente para mostrar el peligro de intentar resolver por nuestra cuenta aquello para lo cual Dios ya tiene una solución.

¿Cuántas veces hacemos lo mismo?

Dios promete, pero nosotros nos desesperamos.

Dios dice espera, pero nosotros corremos.

Dios tiene un Isaac preparado, pero nuestra impaciencia intenta producir un Ismael.

Hay cosas que no necesitan que tú las fuerces. Necesitan que confíes.

No permitas que tu impaciencia produzca algo que Dios nunca te pidió crear.

Oración: Señor, dame paciencia para esperar Tu tiempo. Líbrame de adelantarme y enséñame a confiar en Tu promesa. Amén.

Abraham and Sarah had a promise, but waiting became difficult. They tried to accomplish humanly what God had promised to accomplish divinely.

How often do we do the same?

God promises, but we become desperate.

God says wait, but we run ahead.

God has an Isaac prepared, but our impatience tries to produce an Ishmael.

Some things do not need to be forced. They require you to trust.

Don’t let your impatience produce something God never asked you to create.

Prayer: Lord, give me patience to wait for Your timing. Keep me from running ahead of You and teach me to trust Your promise. Amen.

«Bendice, alma mía, a Jehová, y no olvides ninguno de sus beneficios.»

Es fácil concentrarnos tanto en lo que está mal que dejamos de reconocer todo lo que Dios ya ha hecho.

Tenemos problemas, pero también tenemos promesas. Tenemos luchas, pero también tenemos testimonios. Hay oraciones que todavía esperamos ver contestadas, pero también hay muchas otras que Dios ya contestó.

La perspectiva correcta no niega los problemas; simplemente se niega a permitir que los problemas sean más grandes que Dios.

Si hoy tienes una razón para agradecer, úsala para recordar la fidelidad de Dios.

No permitas que una dificultad temporal esconda las bendiciones permanentes que tienes en Cristo.

Oración: Señor, abre mis ojos para reconocer Tus bendiciones. Que mis problemas nunca me hagan olvidar Tu fidelidad. Amén.

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”

It is easy to become so focused on what is wrong that we stop recognizing everything God has already done.

We have problems, but we also have promises. We have struggles, but we also have testimonies. There are prayers we are still waiting to see answered, but there are many others God has already answered.

The right perspective does not deny our problems; it simply refuses to allow our problems to become bigger than God.

If you have one reason to be thankful today, use it to remember God’s faithfulness.

Don’t allow a temporary difficulty to hide the permanent blessings you have in Christ.

Prayer: Lord, open my eyes to recognize Your blessings. Never let my problems cause me to forget Your faithfulness. Amen.

«Porque mis pensamientos no son vuestros pensamientos, ni vuestros caminos mis caminos, dijo Jehová. Como son más altos los cielos que la tierra, así son mis caminos más altos que vuestros caminos, y mis pensamientos más que vuestros pensamientos.»

Hay momentos en los que queremos entender todo lo que Dios está haciendo antes de confiar en Él. Queremos respuestas, explicaciones y señales que confirmen que vamos en la dirección correcta.

Pero la fe no siempre recibe primero una explicación.

A veces Dios simplemente nos pide que confiemos.

Lo que para nosotros parece una demora, para Dios puede ser preparación. Lo que parece una puerta cerrada puede ser protección. Y aquello que hoy no tiene sentido puede formar parte de algo que todavía no podemos ver.

No necesitas entender todos los caminos de Dios para confiar en el corazón de Dios.

Oración: Señor, cuando no entienda lo que estás haciendo, ayúdame a confiar en que Tus caminos son más altos que los míos. Amén.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

There are moments when we want to understand everything God is doing before we trust Him. We want answers, explanations, and signs confirming that we are going in the right direction.

But faith does not always receive an explanation first.

Sometimes God simply asks us to trust.

What looks like a delay to us may be preparation to God. What looks like a closed door may actually be protection. And what makes no sense today may be part of something we cannot yet see.

You do not have to understand all of God’s ways to trust God’s heart.

Prayer: Lord, when I don’t understand what You are doing, help me trust that Your ways are higher than mine. Amen.

Bienaventurados serán cuando los insulten y persigan, y digan todo género de mal contra ustedes falsamente, por causa de Mí. Regocíjense y alégrense, porque la recompensa de ustedes en los cielos es grande…”

Después de siete días llegamos a la gran pregunta:

¿Quién tiene autoridad para decidir si eres feliz?

Si tu felicidad depende del dinero, cuando falte dinero perderás tu felicidad.

Si depende de una persona, cuando esa persona se vaya puede llevarse tu felicidad.

Si depende del reconocimiento, vivirás intentando satisfacer las expectativas de los demás.

Pero Jesús presenta otra manera de vivir.

Ser bienaventurado significa que mi fuente está en Dios.

Puedo llorar y todavía tener esperanza.

Puedo atravesar un desierto y continuar creyendo.

Puedo ser rechazado y continuar sabiendo quién soy.

Puedo enfrentar una batalla y conservar mi paz.

Por eso tu enseñanza termina con esta poderosa declaración:

“Tu felicidad no está determinada por lo que está pasando a tu alrededor, sino por Aquel que está reinando dentro de ti.”

Entonces...

Si abajo está la tentación, SUBE AL MONTE.

Si abajo está la frustración, SUBE AL MONTE.

Si abajo está el rechazo, SUBE AL MONTE.

Si abajo están las voces que quieren definir quién eres, SUBE AL MONTE.

Sube en oración.

Sube en la Palabra.

Sube en adoración.

Sube a Su presencia.

Porque cuando Dios se convierte en tu fuente, las circunstancias dejan de tener autoridad para decidir quién eres.

Reflexiona: Si mañana desapareciera aquello en lo que he estado depositando mi felicidad, ¿seguiría teniendo gozo porque todavía tengo a Dios?

Oración: Padre, hoy declaro que mi fuente eres Tú. Mi felicidad no estará gobernada por lo que tengo, por lo que pierdo ni por lo que otros piensan de mí. Enséñame a vivir desde Tu presencia. Cuando lo natural quiera dominar mi corazón, recuérdame que debo subir al monte. Que lo espiritual gobierne sobre lo natural y que mi corazón pueda declarar: soy bienaventurado porque todavía tengo a Dios. En el nombre de Jesús, amén.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great…”

After seven days, we arrive at the great question:

Who has the authority to decide whether you have joy?

If your happiness depends on money, when money disappears, your happiness will disappear with it.

If it depends on another person, that person can take your happiness when they leave.

If it depends on recognition, you will spend your life trying to satisfy people’s expectations.

But Jesus presents another way to live.

To be blessed means my source is in God.

I can cry and still have hope.

I can walk through a wilderness and continue believing.

I can experience rejection and still know who I am.

I can face a battle and retain my peace.

So...

When temptation is below you, GO UP THE MOUNTAIN.

When frustration is below you, GO UP THE MOUNTAIN.

When rejection is below you, GO UP THE MOUNTAIN.

When voices are trying to define who you are, GO UP THE MOUNTAIN.

Go higher in prayer.

Go higher in the Word.

Go higher in worship.

Go higher into His presence.

Because when God becomes your source, circumstances lose their authority to determine who you are.

Reflect: If tomorrow I lost something I have been depending on for happiness, would I still have joy because I still have God?

Prayer: Father, today I declare that You are my source. My joy will not be governed by what I have, what I lose, or what others think about me. Teach me to live from Your presence. When the natural tries to dominate my heart, remind me to go up the mountain. Let the spiritual rule over the natural, and let my heart declare: I am blessed because I still have God. In Jesus’ name, amen.

“Bienaventurados aquellos que han sido perseguidos por causa de la justicia, pues de ellos es el reino de los cielos. Bienaventurados serán cuando los insulten y persigan, y digan todo género de mal contra ustedes falsamente, por causa de Mí. Regocíjense y alégrense, porque la recompensa de ustedes en los cielos es grande…”

Hay momentos en los que hacer lo correcto cuesta.

Jesús nunca prometió que obedecerlo produciría automáticamente la aprobación de todos.

Algunas personas no comprenderán tus decisiones.

Otras pueden criticarte precisamente porque decidiste permanecer firme.

Pero Jesús nos enseña algo extraordinario: la opinión de las personas no tiene autoridad para cancelar lo que Dios ha declarado sobre tu vida.

Puedes perder aprobación humana sin perder aprobación divina.

Por eso una de las declaraciones centrales de Sube al Monte es:

“El rechazo de la tierra no cancela la recompensa del cielo.”

No comprometas tus convicciones solamente para pertenecer.

No abandones lo que Dios te enseñó porque alguien no lo comprenda.

La fidelidad puede tener un precio en la tierra, pero Jesús dice que existe una recompensa en el cielo.

Reflexiona: ¿Existe algún área donde estoy comprometiendo mis convicciones porque temo el rechazo de otras personas?

Oración: Padre, líbrame de vivir esclavo de la opinión de los demás. Dame carácter para permanecer fiel cuando obedecerte tenga un precio. Que Tu aprobación sea más importante para mí que el reconocimiento de las personas. En el nombre de Jesús, amén.

“Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great…”

There are moments when doing what is right costs something.

Jesus never promised that obedience would automatically produce everyone’s approval.

Some people will not understand your decisions. Others may criticize you precisely because you chose to remain faithful.

But people’s opinions do not have the authority to cancel what God has declared over your life.

You can lose human approval without losing God’s approval.

Earthly rejection does not cancel heaven’s reward.

Don’t compromise your convictions simply to belong.

Reflect: Is there an area where I am compromising my convictions because I fear someone’s rejection?

Prayer: Father, free me from living as a prisoner of people’s opinions. Give me the character to remain faithful when obedience has a price. May Your approval become more important to me than human recognition. In Jesus’ name, amen.

“Bienaventurados los de limpio corazón, pues ellos verán a Dios.”

No todo problema de visión está en los ojos.

Algunas veces el problema está en el corazón.

Podemos mirar nuestras circunstancias a través del resentimiento, las heridas, los celos, el orgullo, el temor o la falta de perdón.

Entonces Dios puede estar obrando delante de nosotros y nosotros solamente vemos problemas.

Jesús dice que los de limpio corazón verán a Dios.

Cuando Dios transforma nuestro interior, también cambia nuestra manera de interpretar lo que sucede alrededor.

Comenzamos a reconocer Su mano donde anteriormente solamente veíamos dificultad.

Vemos propósito donde antes solamente veíamos dolor.

Vemos una oportunidad de perdonar donde antes solamente deseábamos vengarnos.

Como señalas en Sube al Monte, un corazón limpio permite reconocer con mayor claridad la presencia y la obra de Dios.

Quizás Dios no necesita cambiar inmediatamente todo lo que está delante de tus ojos.

Quizás primero quiere sanar el lugar desde donde estás mirando.

Reflexiona: ¿Existe algo en mi corazón que está distorsionando mi manera de ver a Dios, a las personas o mis circunstancias?

Oración: Señor, examina mi corazón. Quita resentimiento, orgullo, falta de perdón y todo aquello que esté afectando mi visión espiritual. Dame un corazón limpio para reconocerte obrando aun en los lugares donde antes solamente veía problemas. Amén.

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”

Not every vision problem begins in the eyes.

Sometimes the problem is in the heart.

We can view our circumstances through resentment, wounds, jealousy, pride, fear, or unforgiveness.

God may be working right in front of us while we see only problems.

Jesus says the pure in heart will see God.

When God transforms our inner life, He also changes how we interpret what is happening around us.

Perhaps God doesn’t need to immediately change everything in front of your eyes.

Perhaps He first wants to heal the place from which you are looking.

Reflect: Is there something in my heart that is distorting the way I see God, other people, or my circumstances?

Prayer: Lord, examine my heart. Remove resentment, pride, unforgiveness, and anything affecting my spiritual vision. Give me a pure heart so I can recognize You working even in places where I once saw only problems. Amen.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”

What a strange statement according to human logic.

Blessed is the one who mourns.

How can someone be crying and still be called blessed?

Because Jesus is not saying pain is pleasant. He is teaching that your present circumstances do not have the authority to determine your position before God.

You can cry and still have hope.

You can experience loss and still have God.

Your tears describe your present moment.

They do not determine your destination.

And Jesus gives a promise: they shall be comforted.

God has not overlooked your tears.

Reflect: Have I interpreted my pain as evidence that God has abandoned me?

Prayer: Lord, today I place before You whatever is causing my tears. I will not hide my pain, but neither will I allow my pain to define who You are to me. Comfort my heart and remind me that this season does not determine my destination. Amen.

“Bienaventurados los que lloran, pues ellos serán consolados.”

Qué declaración tan extraña para la lógica humana.

Feliz el que llora.

¿Cómo puede alguien estar llorando y al mismo tiempo ser llamado bienaventurado?

Porque Jesús no está diciendo que el dolor sea agradable. Está enseñando que tu circunstancia presente no tiene autoridad para determinar tu posición delante de Dios.

Puedes llorar y todavía tener esperanza.

Puedes estar atravesando una pérdida y continuar teniendo a Dios.

Puedes acostarte con lágrimas y levantarte sabiendo que el Señor sigue contigo.

Ser bienaventurado no significa que todo esté bien a nuestro alrededor. Significa que aunque no todo esté bien, nosotros podemos estar bien en Dios.

Tus lágrimas describen tu momento.

No determinan tu destino.

Y Jesús añade una promesa: serán consolados.

Tu llanto no será ignorado por Dios.

Reflexiona: ¿He interpretado mi dolor como evidencia de que Dios me abandonó?

Oración: Señor, hoy pongo delante de Ti aquello que me hace llorar. No esconderé mi dolor, pero tampoco permitiré que mi dolor defina quién eres Tú para mí. Consuela mi corazón y recuérdame que esta temporada no determina mi destino. Amén.

“Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory; and he said to Him, ‘All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me.’ Then Jesus said to him, ‘Go, Satan! For it is written, “You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.”’”

There is a fascinating detail in this story: Satan also took Jesus to a mountain.

He showed Jesus glory, power, and kingdoms.

It was an invitation to rise—but through the wrong path.

That means not every opportunity to go higher comes from God.

Some heights feed the ego; others strengthen the spirit. Some doors look like promotion but require us to compromise our principles.

Before asking, “How high can I go?”, learn to ask:

“Who is leading me there?”

Reflect: Do I desire God’s glory, or am I primarily seeking recognition for myself?

Prayer: Lord, give me discernment. Don’t let me confuse promotion with purpose. I would rather remain where You are than rise to a place where Your presence is not leading me. Guard my heart from pride and teach me to live for Your glory. Amen.

“Otra vez el diablo lo llevó a un monte muy alto, y le mostró todos los reinos del mundo y la gloria de ellos, y le dijo: «Todo esto te daré, si te postras y me adoras». Entonces Jesús le dijo: «¡Vete, Satanás! Porque escrito está: “Al Señor tu Dios adorarás, y a Él solo servirás”».”

Hay un detalle fascinante: Satanás también llevó a Jesús a un monte.

Le mostró gloria, poder y reinos.

Era una propuesta para subir, pero por el camino equivocado.

Esto significa que no toda oportunidad para subir viene de Dios.

Hay alturas que alimentan el ego y alturas que fortalecen el espíritu. Hay puertas que parecen promoción, pero requieren comprometer nuestros principios.

El enemigo decía: “Mira todo lo que puedes tener”.

Jesús respondió, en esencia: nada de eso vale mi adoración.

Más adelante Jesús subirá a otro monte. Pero esta vez no será para recibir fama, sino para enseñar a Sus discípulos cómo vivir.

En Sube al Monte estableces precisamente este contraste: el enemigo presenta una idea equivocada de estar “arriba”, mientras Jesús lleva a sus discípulos al monte para enseñarles otra manera de vivir.

Antes de preguntarte “¿Hasta dónde puedo llegar?”, aprende a preguntar:

“¿Quién me está llevando allí?”

Reflexiona: ¿Deseo que Dios sea glorificado o estoy buscando principalmente reconocimiento para mí?

Oración: Señor, dame discernimiento. No permitas que confunda promoción con propósito. Prefiero permanecer donde Tú estás antes que subir a un lugar donde Tu presencia no me acompañe. Guarda mi corazón del orgullo y enséñame a vivir solamente para Tu gloria. Amén.

“Entonces Jesús fue llevado por el Espíritu al desierto para ser tentado por el diablo. Y después de haber ayunado cuarenta días y cuarenta noches, entonces tuvo hambre. Y acercándose el tentador, le dijo: «Si eres Hijo de Dios, di que estas piedras se conviertan en pan». Pero Jesús le respondió: «Escrito está: “No solo de pan vivirá el hombre, sino de toda palabra que sale de la boca de Dios”».”

Antes del Sermón del Monte hubo un desierto.

Antes de enseñar acerca de la verdadera felicidad, Jesús atravesó hambre, soledad y tentación. Esa conexión ocupa un lugar importante en Sube al Monte: el desierto nos lleva a reconocer nuevamente aquello que verdaderamente tiene valor.

Hay cosas que solamente entendemos cuando atravesamos temporadas difíciles.

En el desierto descubrimos que muchas cosas que considerábamos indispensables realmente no lo eran. Volvemos a valorar la familia, un abrazo, la paz, la presencia de Dios y hasta las cosas sencillas.

Pero también allí llega la tentación.

Satanás intentó utilizar una necesidad legítima de Jesús —el hambre— para llevarlo a actuar fuera de la voluntad de Dios.

El hambre era real.

Pero el hambre no podía convertirse en su señor.

Tú también tendrás necesidades reales. La pregunta es si esas necesidades determinarán tus decisiones.

No desperdicies tu desierto. Permite que Dios utilice esta temporada para mostrarte qué es temporal y qué es eterno.

Reflexiona: ¿Qué me está enseñando mi desierto acerca de las cosas que verdaderamente tienen valor?

Oración: Padre, no permitas que desperdicie mi desierto. Enséñame a reconocer Tu voz aun en las temporadas difíciles. Que mis necesidades nunca gobiernen mis decisiones por encima de Tu Palabra. Hazme salir de esta temporada más fuerte y más cerca de Ti. Amén.

“Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And after He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He then became hungry. And the tempter came and said to Him, ‘If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.’ But He answered and said, ‘It is written, “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”’”

Before the Sermon on the Mount, there was a wilderness.

Before teaching about true happiness, Jesus experienced hunger, isolation, and temptation.

Some lessons are understood differently after we have walked through difficult seasons.

The wilderness exposes what truly matters.

But temptation also comes in the wilderness. Satan tried to use a legitimate need—Jesus’ hunger—to influence His actions.

The hunger was real.

But hunger could not become His master.

You will also experience legitimate needs. The question is whether those needs will determine your decisions.

Don’t waste your wilderness. Allow God to show you what is temporary and what is eternal.

Reflect: What is my wilderness teaching me about what truly matters?

Prayer: Father, don’t let me waste my wilderness. Teach me to recognize Your voice even during difficult seasons. Never allow my needs to rule my decisions above Your Word. Bring me out of this season stronger and closer to You. Amen.
