Even now, to be honest, I did the last post where I start to share some of my intimate journey based in Buddhism, and I have the feeling that I want to delete it, that I am being too exposed for my liking.

This lead to this post, the one thing I realized was whenever I did delete something, I always regretted it in the future.

So instead of deleteing it, I adopted the mantra, “Don’t delete, just bury.”

So just make and release more songs, make and release more videos, make and release more newsletters to quell that insecurity feeling.

At the end of the day, being an artist is about sharing our intimate thoughts and feelings with the world, the doubt and fear that creeps in is ourselves remembering the times when we feel we haven’t been accepted for who we are.

That is a deep deep pain and we’d prefer to not feel it, and not post, and not go after our dreams than to deal with it.

The truth is the only way to move through it is to feel it, but if you want to decrease that pain and be able to move thorugh it more efficiently without so many ruminating thoughts, you should just bury the song, bury the post.

This way you’re actively putting your creations out there, honoring your agreement with spirit to be a vessel of light (for your creation) and you’re facing your fear and vulnerability, forcing yourself to bring them up and feel them, which each time you do that you’re moving a step forward.

There are no downsides to this.

What’s then the key? KEEP IT GUTTER

Follow your gut, your heart, your body and let your mind squirm.

“Progress over Perfection,” ALWAYS

When you do this you are ONE STEP CLOSER TO your goal of absolute creative freedom.

Your swag, your energy, your aura increases each time you step out of your comfort zone and you challenge yourself in this way.

DON’T DELETE, JUST BURY (the song, the post, the creation)

Put it out, then ON TO THE NEXT

Ask yourself, “What do the people need next?”

Repeat this system for 1 year and you’ll find your life has deeply changed.

For a while I’ve felt stuck writing to you here.

It felt like walking in molasses or tar.

Why?

I think because I felt I had to have it all together.

Doubt would creep it while writing and I couldn’t stop my mind from going ahead in the future and just focused on the present.

It kept skipping ahead, ahead, ahead. “Oh is it gonna be good?” “Oh is it gonna be a waste of time” “Oh is anybody gonna open it.” Blah blah, bullshit mind thoughts.

But they got me.

Why?

Cuz I wanted it to be good.

In wanting it to be good I actually made it bad, because I didn’t post. I didn’t follow through with inspirations when I could have.

Therefore I lost momentum here, and it became like molasses, like we spoke in the beginning.

A name is the most important aspect for any company, artist or enterprise.

A name is like a magnet.

It’s like a subtle detail that cannot be ignored.

A name will embody and envelop you. So be careful.

Always name things that will lead you to victory. Always listen to your intuition/your body and experiment with different names that come to you.

Write them down, type them out, use different fonts. Sit with them. Feel them.

Live with them…

By changing my newsletter to Keep it gutter®️ Radio, a name I’ve had for a long time, KIG since 2012 and KIG Radio since 2024. I freed myself.

First it my newsletter was called “THE BEST MUSIC PRODUCER.” Although I was using the proper positive of a name, this name came with much energetic baggage. Because when you call yourself The Best at something, you will no doubt erupt energy, jealousy, envy and agitation among people. This is what happened, I felt all this subtle energy and even if what I was feeling were projections of my own mind, they hindered me, because they caused hesitation and doubt, even a micro mili mili second. Which is enough to stop the flow.

Then I changed the name to “Taavi’s Newsletter” to bring it back to myself. That worked for a while, but still, perfection. Every time I shared something, I felt it wasn’t good enough or up to par with how I wanted to present myself as an artist. It was not polished enough, it was not how I wanted to come off. So then again, in the mini micro mili second, that caused doubt, and again, enough to break the flow.

The flow is delicate, and you need to understand that. It needs to be caressed, it needs to be felt, it needs to be paid attention to, in deep detail, and then held, like holding a delicate string that could vanish at any moment. Think about a thread as thin as a spider’s. You see it come down and you get your eye on it and you subtling touch and grab it, but if you grab too hard it disconnects, and if you go too slow you loose it, and if you hesitate and focus on your shoe, it disappears.

It’s delicate.

How 2 Make a Banger™️ University was the first iteration of this current newsletter, after the others were too personal I used this to launch my first course, the “How 2 Make a Banger Get out of the Mud 21 Day Workshop” (Which is still available here to paid subscribers). Again this name became too rigid when I wanted to share more personal things, I still had Taavi’s newsletter but I got burned out posting on both.

Eventually I changed the name to Metaphysics of Music™️ after the success of my book, but again I didn’t want to box this publication in. What if I got an inspiration and I wanted to just talk about something random on the newsletter, the name was a roadblock to moving forward in flow in this way.

I end up here with Keep it gutter®️ Radio, because KIG is the crux of what I teach. Keep it gutter®️ means action, movement, testing the actual waters with your own feet. Keep it real, keep it authentic, keep it in the moment. Enough theory, time to get in. Time to see what’s actually happening.

As an artist you’re a scientist, so you need to move, test and test and iterate.

Its the only way.

R$A 100x Challenge

my instagram page has been stagnent for years, and I’ve been on the platform since 2013. I tried many different things and nothing worked.

In the summer I posted a video called “Look at This” and its almost at 1M views now (800k), but its just me throwing sticks on the ground.

2 months ago I developed something called the R$A 100x Challenge. A challenge to help artists do the ONE thing most of us avoid, TAKING BOLD, CONCRETE ACTION in a focused, precise amount of time.

we love to strategize, think how the rollout will be, see us on stage etc. but when it comes time to act…. pause, hesitation, frozen… why? fear of success.

who will we betray if we are successful as an artist? who will we betray if we make money in an easy way that flows while doing what we love and are born to do?

those are the questions you need to ask yourself when you notice yourself sabotaging and not acting when the solution is so clear.

in order to get good at something you must practice quantity, then quality comes over time. this is true for any sport and is no different for you as an artist wanting to be seen, heard and paid on social media. you must practice.

but the more difficult part for us is, we must practice in public. which, if looked at in the correct light, can be beneficial. building strength.

the problem is, when we get a hater or obstacle, its easy for us to slow down or back up. I made the R$A 100x Challenge to directly confront the root of the problem, taking action instead of thinking and strategizing.

in this challenge you post 1 song on 1 platform 100x in 21 days. the purpose of this is for you to focus on quantity to get to quality, to build momentum, strength and endurance, get out of your head and to see if the song you’re promoting is for this time.

you’ll track the progress in a spreadsheet and everyone meets via video call to kick it off then 2-3 other times to make sure you stay on track and are making progress.

after I did it with R$A Vol. 1, about a week later, I was about to leave my house and go to the studio, and right before leaving I decided to make a video with my whiteboard.

I had this whiteboard for 2 years before and couldn’t do it, just the resistance was so strong.

BUT, because I had built momentum in the R$A Challenge, posting over 100x, posting my song 70+ times. I was easily able to pull it out and do 2 videos. I posted them on tiktok and ig.

both videos, one went viral on tiktok and one on instagram.

I ended up quadroupling my followers in 2 weeks, huge artists, producers and songwriters started following me and I started getting huge opportunities.

all because of MOMENTUM built in the R$A Challenge.

Where did that thought get me? Many years wasted, and the root of it? Fear.

As soon as you create something and you’ve got that electric, excited, inspired energy, you need to share it in some form or fashion. That’s the opportunity.

What do you have to gain? Expansion, inspiration, challenge and courage.

It takes courage to share your art, but when you step into that true self you are greatly rewarded. We see if with the many artists who decide to share their song while they’re inspired. A very clear example of this is Post Malone.

He was inspired to drop White Iverson after he made it, people around him told him don’t do it! He didn’t listen to them, dropped it, Mac Miller heard it and the rest is history. Imagine if he didn’t do that?

Success is very much about alignment, and you can only be aligned if you take courageous action when the spirit guides you to (INSPIRATION)(IN-SPIRIT).

If I had dropped and really pushed all the songs I made, I’m confident I’d be a millionare by now. I don’t want you to make the same mistakes that I did.

So I wanna ask you:

Why put so much money, energy and time into a song and then only promote it 2-3 times?

I understand why you do this, its emotionally taxing to promote your song, and you have to face all the feelings that come up around success, and you have to LOOK AT the reality that you may be AFRIAD OF SUCCESS and downplaying and not promoting yourself as a form of self sabotage.

If you wanna see reality and finally break through all the fear and excuses you’ve been making for yourself, NOW if the time to do it!

Give the song the chance it deserves, and posting it 100 times is that chance.

My drop for this month!

Had this song for a while, the original version since 2018.

Then the new beat appeared in 2024, I always sung the lyrics to the beat then decided to lay it down after I sung it to my friend Goodkid in 2024, he had a good reaction to it so I recorded it.

Now the first draft is out. I may polish it up or just KIG.
