CAIR Action lists Ossoff as a “preferred” candidate in its 2026 Georgia voter guide — a result of the senator repeatedly voting to restrict weapons sales to Israel and promoting false narratives that demonize the Jewish state. The group’s designation stops just short of a formal endorsement but leaves little ambiguity about whom the organization wants Georgia voters — including those who seek Israel’s destruction — to support.

CAIR’s political embrace is a remarkable one for a senator who still tells Jewish constituents his commitment to Israel is “ironclad,” while sometimes promoting different messaging to non-Jewish audiences.

Ossoff is seeking a second Senate term against Republican U.S. Rep. Mike Collins, who won the GOP nomination in June. The Georgia race is one of the most closely watched Senate contests in the country.

The server, Sarah Armstrong, said the incident of anti-Jewish bigotry happened after what began as “a simple, happy discussion about traveling” at Origen, a new restaurant in Dunedin, Florida. Armstrong said she mentioned that she had traveled this year, including “volunteering in Israel.”

After AO7 broke the story that Hogg was slated to be the Gwinnett County Democrats’ marquee speaker at its annual fundraiser, sparking concern among many Jewish Democrats, he was replaced Tuesday with another headline speaker: Keisha Lance Bottoms, the former Atlanta mayor and Democratic nominee for Georgia governor.

After Hogg’s bumping from the marquee speaker slot drew the ire of anti-Israel Democrats, the county party issued a statement Thursday saying Hogg “remains a guest speaker for Bluetopia 2026 and is scheduled to speak at the gala.”

The party also said it “does not make decisions about inviting or disinviting speakers based solely on their public statements or differing viewpoints.”

But records released by Georgia Rep. Esther Panitch Thursday show the party had cited Hogg’s remarks as the reason he was being replaced as the event’s marquee speaker.

That increasingly-rare approach to news-gathering produced an extraordinary television moment Sunday when the veteran WPLG Local 10 journalist confronted eliminationist antizionist congressional candidate Oliver Larkin over his false claims that Israel is committing “genocide” and deliberately targeting women and children in Gaza.

It’s a congressional district where Jewish pro-Israel voters, despite being a major constituency, are being denigrated and stigmatized on a daily basis by insurgent DSA Democrats like Larkin and right-wing Neo-Nazis like self-identified Republicans James Fishback and Dan Bilzerian.

The glossary cites the little-used Jerusalem Declaration on Antisemitism — an alternative to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition — which has been embraced by numerous eliminationist antizionist groups opposed to IHRA.

The glossary, titled “Glossary of Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Terms for Pennsylvania Learning Environments,” is linked to on PDE’s online Equity, Inclusion and Belonging hub as “EIB Common Language.” The state education department describes the hub as a “coherent collection of resources” for educational communities and says those resources have been “hand-picked and reviewed.”

The glossary, dated January 2023, was developed by a statewide Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Task Force workgroup which included educators from the fields of early education, elementary and secondary education, higher education, and libraries across Pennsylvania. The task force’s stated purpose is to clarify language used in schools, early childhood centers, and libraries while supporting efforts to eliminate barriers to student success.

The language was exposed publicly Monday by StopAntisemitism, which flagged the Pennsylvania Department of Education entry and asked on social media, “WHO CHANGED PENNSYLVANIA’S DEFINITION OF ANTISEMITISM?”

In its antisemitism entry, the PDE glossary defines antisemitism as “episodic or systematic marginalization and/or oppression” of Jewish people based on stereotypes and myths about Jewish people, Judaism, or Israel. It then adds: “According to the Jerusalem Declaration on Antisemitism, as it relates to Israel/Palestine, not all views or actions against Israel, such as supporting justice for Palestinians or opposing Zionism as a form of nationalism are, on the face of it, antisemitic.”

The Jerusalem Declaration was written as an alternative to IHRA and has been embraced by prominent IHRA opponents, including bigoted antizionist organizations.

Jewish Voice for Peace, which promotes the elimination of Israel as a Jewish state, welcomed the Jerusalem Declaration as “an important alternative” to what it called the “discredited and dangerous” IHRA definition. In a separate statement, JVP called the JDA “a useful corrective” to IHRA.

IfNotNow also welcomed the Jerusalem Declaration as “a viable alternative” to IHRA, saying the JDA makes clear that “support for anti-Zionism or the BDS movement is not, on its face, antisemitic.”

The venue that hosted the anti-Israel speakers, Sidewalk Bottle Shop, is a Fort Lauderdale wine bar and event space. Sidewalk’s website identifies David Lopez and Walter Navarro as natural-wine sommeliers behind the operation. News coverage has identified Lopez and Navarro as Sidewalk’s co-owners, while earlier coverage identified Lopez and Nicolas Riveira as co-owners.

The Democratic Socialists of America-sponsored “Chomp the Oligarchy” rally featured Tlaib, the Michigan Democrat censured by the House in 2023 over her antisemitic rhetoric; Florida state Rep. Angie Nixon, an anti-Israel state representative from Jacksonville and U.S. Senate candidate; Oliver Larkin, a Democratic Socialist and anti-Israel activist challenging Rep. Jared Moskowitz; and antizionist Elijah Manley, a Democratic Socialist challenging Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Moskowitz and Wasserman Schultz are Jewish Democrats who support Israel.

Two Fort Lauderdale venues had previously canceled their bookings for the rally after Jewish community members flagged the antizionist bigotry and antisemitic rhetoric of scheduled speakers.

Some of the most extreme rhetoric of the night came from Nixon, who falsely linked Americans’ struggles with health care, student debt, and economic inequality to U.S. support for Israel, the world’s only Jewish state and home to about half of the world’s approximately 15 million Jews.

Nixon did not say “Israel” in the key section of her speech, nor did she need to. She described Washington sending money to “a country that has universal health care,” “a country that has free college,” and “a country that is okay with dropping bombs on babies” and “wiping out entire bloodlines”—rhetoric that sent the antizionist crowd into a frenzy.

Hannah Eliason, a scholar sympathetic to the antizionist movement that targets Israelis and pro-Israel American Jews for exclusion, manages programming for Keene State College’s Cohen Institute for Holocaust and Genocide Studies, and serves as a member of the Institute on the New Hampshire Commission on Holocaust and Genocide Education.

The Commission recommends model policies to New Hampshire public school districts and proposes education rules to the State Board of Education, while identifying curricula, teaching materials, and training opportunities for educators who teach about the Holocaust and genocide in public schools.

Eliason, who has expressed support for the discriminatory Boycott, Divest, Sanctions Movement, wrote a February 2022 Borgen Magazine article that characterized Zionism as causing “a campaign of Palestinian ethnic cleansing called the Nakba,” and wrote that Israel “continues to forcibly displace, unlawfully detain, systemically control and claim the lives of Palestinians in cold blood.”

She has since praised writings that described Israel as a “settler-colonial power” built through “ethnic cleansing” and called Israel’s post-October 7 war against Hamas an “American-funded, Israeli genocide.”

The video shows Williams eating at one of the Brooklyn-based chain eatery’s locations and displaying a misleading “Discover Palestine” page inside an Ayat menu, which shows a map of Israel incorrectly labeled “Palestine;” the name the Roman Empire gave to the former Jewish kingdoms of Judea and Israel.

As the ahistorical map is displayed, Williams opines that Ayat delivers “history, culture and love on every plate.”

It was not clear whether Williams was paid to make the advertisement for Ayat, which he collaborated with on the Instagram post.

The antizionist Palestinian restaurant chain previously drew backlash for using “From the River to the Sea” on its menu, promoting the antizionist slogan that calls for the elimination of Israel.

Many Jewish Peloton members and non-Jewish allies Tuesday said the fitness company was continuing to ignore what they considered an act anti-Jewish bigotry — in the form of wiping the Jewish state off the map — within its staff’s ranks.

“Peloton must address antisemitism and enforce its own standards,” StandWithUs said.

Williams, a high-profile Peloton instructor and one of the brand’s most recognizable faces, is also a paid ambassador for BMW and Lululemon, according to his Instagram account.
