• Open Interest represents the total number of outstanding contracts in a specific instrument at a given time.

Understanding the OI Chart Structure

• The left-side shows green build-up which indicates changes in Call Open Interest.

• The right-side of the data represents Put Open Interest positions.

• These OI levels help traders identify important resistance and support zones in the market respectively.

Analysis using OI

• The highest Call Open Interest build-up is visible around the 24000-strike zone.

• This suggests aggressive Call writing by option sellers, making this area a crucial resistance zone.

• Unless Nifty gives a decisive breakout above this range, upside momentum may remain capped.

• On the downside, strong Put Open Interest is visible near the 23500 and 23800 strike.

• This indicates Put writers are actively defending lower levels, creating a near-term support base.

• Current OI positioning suggests the market is trading in a broad range between 23800 and 24000. Both Call and Put writers are active, any break below 23800 may drag index towards 23500.

KST Indicator

• The KST (Know Sure Thing) Indicator is a momentum-based indicator.

• When the KST line crosses below the Signal line → Early sign of bearish momentum

• When both moves below the zero line → Confirms bearish momentum

• On the above chart, KST line has already crossed below the signal line and is trading below zero line.

Conclusion

• Open Interest analysis simplifies options trading by highlighting the positioning of big players. Traders can build strategies by tracking support, resistance, and possible breakout zones through the OI profile.

• On the daily chart, ATHERENERG can be observed heading higher, particularly since end of January 2026, indicating strong bullishness in the stock.

• Since then, the stock has delivered a whopping gain of more than 170%, forming Higher High and Higher Low structure, which is a positive sign.

Elliott wave Analysis

• As per the wave perspective, ATHERENERG completed its Primary Wave (2) in January 2026 near the 600 level.

• Post which the stock has been trading in the form of Primary Wave (3), in which stock recently completed Intermediate wave 4 back in June 2026

In the research below, we have highlighted the 55-day Hurst time cycle, represented by the mid black line, along with the time zone marked by the blue and red lines. The red line represents the outer time boundary by which a potential market reversal is expected.

Interestingly, Nifty has already started showing signs of a short-term reversal on the upside.

Nifty Breaks Above the Key Resistance Zone

The Nifty 60-minute chart clearly shows that price has managed to break above the major hurdle zone of 24,220–24,280 and is now retesting this breakout area.

This retest becomes important because a successful hold above the zone could provide further confirmation of the ongoing reversal.

A significant portion of the market movement since 3rd August, following the implementation of the CAS mechanism, has occurred through gaps or around CAS-related closing activity. Even yesterday, we witnessed a sharp upside move after the CAS-related market movement.

This has made the environment somewhat challenging for intraday traders, as a meaningful portion of the price movement is occurring outside the conventional intraday structure.

For positional traders, however, the setup remains more interesting, particularly as option pricing can start responding more meaningfully once the CAS-related activity subsides.

Volatility Expansion Could Become Important

We are also entering a phase where historical volatility is near its lowest levels in years.

Periods of extremely compressed volatility are often followed by volatility expansion. If this expansion develops as expected, it could create a more favourable environment for option buyers, particularly because implied volatility has also declined significantly.

Therefore, the combination of:

• Extremely compressed historical volatility

• Lower implied volatility

• A potential Hurst cycle turn

• Lunar-cycle confluence

• A developing Neo Wave reversal

makes the next few trading sessions particularly important.

From a price perspective, 24,180 remains an important downside support zone, while 24,550 and higher levels could become relevant on the upside if momentum continues to build.

Neo Wave Perspective

From the Neo Wave perspective, the entire preceding decline is being interpreted as Wave b within a triple corrective structure.

The current upside move is showing a faster retracement of the last falling segment. This is an encouraging sign and provides an initial indication that the structure may be transitioning toward an upside reversal.

However, strong momentum is yet to be established.

Therefore, the next few days of price action will be crucial in determining whether this reversal develops into a sustained move or remains a short-term bounce.

Lunar Cycle + Hurst Time Cycle Confluence

The lunar cycle provides another interesting layer to the analysis.

Historically, in our observations, Purnima has often coincided with an upside move over the following two to three sessions, while Amavasya has often coincided with downside movement over a similar period or longer.

The upcoming Purnima on 26 August is particularly interesting because it coincides closely with the Hurst time-cycle window.

The final red line in the Hurst cycle analysis falls around 27 August.

This creates an important time-confluence zone:

Purnima → 26 August
Hurst cycle window → 27 August

In other words, time is becoming synchronized, but price still needs to provide confirmation.

That distinction is important. A time-cycle confluence identifies a potential inflection zone; it does not, by itself, guarantee a reversal.

In a Nutshell

The current Nifty setup is interesting because multiple analytical frameworks are converging at nearly the same time:

Neo Wave + Hurst Time Cycle + Lunar Cycle + Volatility Expansion

The market has already crossed the important 24,220–24,280 hurdle, but sustained momentum is still required.

A successful hold above this zone, followed by increasing momentum, could open the possibility of a move toward 24,550 or higher.

On the downside, 24,180 remains an important level to watch.

The next few sessions should therefore be watched closely as time is indicating an inflection zone, while price is still in the process of confirming it.

In which, wave a got completed near 58700 on 25^th June 2026 and now the next wave i.e., wave b is probably unfolding in the form of Flat corrective pattern as internal wave b (red) of b has retraced more than 61.8% of wave a (red). Currently wave c (red) of wave b is unfolding on the downside.

Understanding KST indicator

• The KST (Know Sure Thing) indicator is a momentum-based indicator.

Nifty daily chart shows that prices post completing the low at 22200 levels in the month of April 2026, is moving up in the form of corrective pattern. Prices are probably forming Flat correction with wave (c) of primary degree ongoing.

This wave (c) is possibly forming a Terminal impulse pattern and we are seeing move on downside in the for of wave b of iii. The short term channel support is near 23970.

55 Days Hurst’s Time cycle – We can see that prices have tendency to reverse up from this cycle zone on multiple occasions. We are again in this zone and so Time is supportive for the up move. However, price action is still awaited.

It has been 12 trading sessions since prices have not closed above prior day’s high. This is simplest way of trading using 3 candlestick rule.

Nifty hourly chart shows internal Neo wave pattern. Prices are in wave b which is subdividing into complex corrective pattern involving “x” waves. Faster retracement above last falling segment which is near 24230 will provide 1^st stage confirmation that the low is in place. Until then avoid buying and wait for price action to confirm.

Nifty 15 minutes chart with Keltner channel & KST – Options are powerful instruments if one understands the mathematics behind it. Open interest profile along with Keltner channel on price chart and KST indicator below it is classic combination to catch reversals early on. In the entire fall prices have failed to sustain above the upper Keltner channel & KST momentum indicator is yet to reverse up.

OI profile shows supporting activity near 24k by put sellers but we are yet to see meaningful increase in big players activity.

Closing Auction Session (CAS) – Already market is nervous due to CAS and volumes in Options on Sensex has dried out.

In a nutshell, Time is turning on upside but price action above 24230 is awaited for reversal. Best trade setups are when both Price and Time get in sync providing low risk high reward setup. Immediate support is neat 23970 & break above 24230 will provide positional trade setup. Any close below 23970 will continue the pressure on index till 23790 zone.

This method helps to understand major accumulation or distribution phase of the market. Area with highest volume is known as Volume Point of Control (VPOC). The same is near 24650 (futures) so around 24550 on spot. This along with OI data suggests that for bulls crossing above 24520 – 24550 is going to be crucial for major upside momentum.
