President Donald Trump was asked about Harry and Meghan and delivered an answer that was remarkably blunt.

He said he was “happy” that they had left the United States, criticised the way he believed they had treated the Royal Family, and went further still.

“I wouldn’t have taken them back, frankly.”

It was the sort of comment that cuts through the carefully constructed language we normally hear around the Sussexes. It raises a much bigger question: why are Harry and Meghan being welcomed back into the royal orbit when they have spent years publicly criticising the institution?

Trump’s relationship with the Royal Family matters

Trump has spoken warmly about the late Queen Elizabeth II and has maintained a respectful relationship with King Charles. Whatever your personal opinion of the monarchy, there is an important distinction between criticising individual members of the Royal Family and respecting the institution itself. That distinction appears to underpin Trump’s comments.

He wasn’t simply saying that he disliked Harry and Meghan. He was pointing to what he saw as their treatment of the Royal Family, particularly the late Queen and King Charles - and questioning why they would be welcomed back. For those of us who have watched this saga unfold, that is the uncomfortable question.

What happens when someone repeatedly attacks an institution but continues to retain access to it? In the case of Harry and Meghan they are rewarded for such behaviour and continue to be given full use of their AAA pass to it.

Harry, politics and the problem with the Royal Family’s rules

One of the biggest issues raised during my recent YouTube livestream was Harry’s repeated involvement in political and constitutional debates. The Royal Family is supposed to operate above party politics. That neutrality is fundamental to the role. We have seen radio silence from the entire Royal family regarding the mass rape and failure of 250,000 British children - this silence we are repeatedly told is because ‘they can’t be political.’

Harry has repeatedly expressed political opinions, including comments about American politics and the First Amendment, relentless criticism of President Trump and statements about the war in Ukraine. Harry is sat on the Royal website, as is Meghan Markle. At no point over the last six years have the duo EVER been reprimanded for their disgraceful behaviour. That leaves us with one clear outcome - the King fully supports their agenda, one which is distorted, woke, leftists and looking at the evidence - very anti-British.

Harry once described the First Amendment as “bonkers.” For Americans, that isn’t an abstract constitutional principle. Freedom of speech and freedom of expression sit at the heart of the country’s political identity. Harry was saying this as a British royal living in America. That struck me as particularly extraordinary.

You don’t have to support Trump to recognise the problem. If Harry had been attacking a Democratic president, I would be making exactly the same argument.

The issue is political neutrality.

Trump has called Harry out before

This isn’t the first time Trump has responded dismissively to Harry. When Harry publicly expressed his view that Trump should do more to end the war in Ukraine, Trump was asked about it. His response was telling.

He asked how Harry was doing, sent his regards to Meghan, and then made the point that Harry was certainly not speaking for the United Kingdom. Trump then added, with characteristic sarcasm, that he appreciated Harry’s advice. It was a public reminder that Harry’s royal status does not automatically give him political authority. Perhaps that is exactly what makes the situation so uncomfortable.

Harry has spent years positioning himself as independent from the institution while simultaneously benefiting from the status and visibility that come from being born into it. You cannot have it both ways.

The Royal Family’s double standard

This is where I think the story becomes much bigger than Harry and Meghan. Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, have repeatedly demonstrated how someone connected to the monarchy can engage with difficult subjects without becoming an overt political campaigner.

Take farming, for example. Rather than turning the issue into a partisan political intervention, William has used his profile to meet farmers, listen to them and amplify their concerns. There is a difference between using a platform responsibly and using a royal platform to attack political figures.

That distinction matters because the monarchy’s greatest strength is supposed to be its constitutional neutrality. When one member appears free to disregard those conventions while others remain bound by them, questions inevitably follow.

Why does one person get to play by a different set of rules?

Has Harry actually left the institution?

Harry and Meghan have repeatedly presented themselves as having stepped away from royal life. Harry remains Prince Harry. He remains the King’s son. His connection to the Royal Family continues to generate enormous public interest. This creates a strange contradiction.

The Sussexes have spent years criticising the institution while simultaneously retaining many of the privileges, associations and opportunities that come with their position. That is why the prospect of Harry returning to a closer relationship with the Royal Family creates such strong reactions. Of course there is nothing wrong with a father wanting a relationship with his son.

A private family relationship is very different from institutional access. Those two things should not be conflated.

The media narrative is another story

One of the most frustrating aspects of this entire saga is the disparity between what people appear to think privately and what is sometimes presented in the mainstream media.

During the live, I spoke with Lee Cohen, who has worked on British affairs in Washington and contributes to outlets including GB News, The Telegraph and The Spectator. We discussed the way Harry and Meghan are covered in the American media. Lee’s argument was that some major American publications approach the monarchy through an ideological lens that is fundamentally hostile to the institution.

He also pointed to publications such as People and Vanity Fair, which have often been considerably more sympathetic towards Meghan and Harry. The result is a strange media environment in which two very different narratives can exist simultaneously. One presents the Sussexes as victims who have been unfairly treated.

The other asks a much simpler question:

What have they actually achieved since leaving royal duties, and why should the public continue to care? Those are very different starting points.

Is King Charles working to destroy the firm?

Perhaps the most uncomfortable part of all of this is not Harry. It is King Charles. If Harry is repeatedly allowed to remain close to the institution, publicly intervene in political matters and continue his association with the Royal Family after years of criticism, what does that tell us about the King’s position?

I have long argued that Charles has a tendency to lead with his heart rather than his head. As a father, wanting to reconcile with your son is understandable. As King, however, the calculation is different. The monarch isn’t simply a father. He is the head of an institution.

That institution has rules, conventions and responsibilities that exist beyond any individual family relationship. If Harry is allowed back into the fold without any meaningful boundaries, what message does that send to William and Catherine - and to the public?

Senior palace departures raise another question

Another subject raised during the live was the departure of several senior members of the King’s staff in a relatively short period. There will always be perfectly ordinary explanations for people leaving senior positions: retirement, contracts ending, career changes and personal circumstances. But patterns deserve scrutiny.

When several senior figures leave around the same time, it is reasonable to ask questions about what is happening behind the scenes. Especially when those changes coincide with a period of uncertainty about the future direction of the monarchy. I don’t claim to know the answer.

What I do know is that we should follow the evidence rather than automatically accepting the palace’s preferred narrative.

The real issue is trust

Ultimately, this isn’t really about whether you like Harry. It isn’t even about whether you like Meghan. It isn’t about whether you support Donald Trump. The deeper issue is trust. People expect institutions to have rules. They expect those rules to apply consistently. They expect individuals who represent those institutions to behave accordingly.

When ordinary people believe that one group receives privileges, protection or access that would never be available to them, resentment naturally follows. That is why the Harry and Meghan story continues to resonate.

It has become a proxy for a much bigger conversation about establishment privilege, accountability, free speech, political neutrality and whether the rules really apply equally to everyone. Trump’s comments simply brought that conversation into the open.

For once, there was no palace-speak. No carefully worded briefing. No endless discussion about reconciliation. Just a blunt opinion from the President of the United States:

He wouldn’t have taken them back.

The question now is whether King Charles feels the same way about protecting the institution he inherited. If he doesn’t, the consequences won’t simply be about Harry and Meghan. They will be about the future of the monarchy itself.

Lowe is a royalist. He made that clear during the interview, referring positively to his own experience working with the Prince’s Trust, his appreciation of the King’s charitable work and the fact that one of his businesses holds a Royal Warrant.

This made his subsequent criticism of the King’s position particularly significant.

The discussion began with a straightforward constitutional question: how can the King simultaneously be the Supreme Governor of the Church of England, and therefore Defender of the Faith, while also presenting himself as a defender of multiple faiths?

Lowe’s answer was unequivocal.

“He cannot be defender of faiths. He has to be defender of THE faith.”

For Lowe, this is not simply a question of personal religious preference. He sees it as a constitutional issue. Britain has an established church, and the monarch occupies a unique position within that settlement. In his view, the Christian heritage of Britain is therefore not something that can simply be placed on the same constitutional footing as every other religion.

The question of Islam

The interview then moved beyond the constitutional role of the monarchy and towards the broader question of Islam’s growing influence in Britain.

I put to Lowe a number of examples that I believe warrant greater public scrutiny: the King’s relationships with Islamic institutions and Gulf states, his engagement with Muslim communities, the establishment and patronage of organisations intended to promote interfaith relations, and his public emphasis on religious pluralism.

The point was not to suggest that engagement with Muslims is inherently improper. Rather, the question was whether there is a tension between the King’s role as Defender of the Faith and an approach that appears increasingly focused on promoting religious pluralism.

Lowe acknowledged the wider influence of wealthy Gulf states, particularly Qatar and Saudi Arabia, in funding Muslim activity in the West.

He also raised concerns about the Muslim Brotherhood, arguing that Britain has been too permissive towards organisations and influences that, in his view, do not necessarily share Britain’s interests.

His argument was essentially that a country has a right to determine the cultural and constitutional framework within which immigration and integration take place.

“If people want to come here,” he argued, “they have to accept above all that we have our culture, we have our religion and ultimately we have our history.”

That position is consistent with a wider argument Lowe has made throughout his political career: that immigration cannot be considered separately from integration, national identity and the preservation of social cohesion.

The King and the burka

One of the most striking points of the discussion concerned the burka.

I raised the apparent contrast between Lowe’s opposition to the public wearing of the burka and the King’s position, which has been markedly more accommodating towards religious and cultural differences.

Lowe did not launch a personal attack on Charles. Instead, he returned to the constitutional principle.

He argued that Britain should retain its own cultural norms and that newcomers should respect the traditions of the country they have chosen to live in. He said plainly that he did not agree with wearing burkas in Britain and that he did not believe public displays of religious practice should be allowed to fundamentally alter Britain’s existing cultural framework.

But importantly, Lowe stopped short of turning this into a personal denunciation of the King. That distinction matters. It would have been easy for the conversation to become an attack on Charles personally. Instead, Lowe kept returning to principles: the constitution, the established church, freedom of speech, national identity and the responsibilities attached to the Crown.

A royalist challenging the monarchy?

That makes Lowe’s position rather unusual. He is not a republican seeking to abolish the monarchy. Quite the opposite. He explicitly described himself as a royalist. His criticism is therefore coming from within a position of support for the institution itself.

There is also an important personal history behind this. Lowe worked with the Prince’s Trust for several years while he was chairman of Southampton Football Club and raised money for the organisation. He spoke positively about the King’s charitable work and specifically praised the philosophy of helping people to help themselves.

His argument is consequently not that Charles is somehow an enemy of Britain. Rather, Lowe appears to be questioning whether the modern interpretation of the monarch’s role has moved beyond what the British constitutional settlement originally intended.

The question Lowe did not fully answer

For me, however, the most interesting part of the exchange was what remained unsaid. I deliberately prefaced the question by making clear that I was asking it myself. I also pointed out that anything Lowe said about the King would almost certainly be dissected by the mainstream media. That concern was not theoretical.

Lowe had already described what he regarded as a coordinated media campaign against him and Restore Britain. He had discussed the treatment of other controversial figures and argued that establishment institutions were increasingly willing to use the media to discredit political opponents.

Against that background, Lowe’s answer about Charles was noticeably measured.

He criticised the principle.

He questioned the idea that the King could be “Defender of faiths” rather than “Defender of the Faith”.

He criticised aspects of Britain’s approach to Islam, multiculturalism and immigration.

But he did not directly accuse King Charles of acting improperly, deliberately advancing Islam or betraying Britain’s Christian heritage.

That restraint is worth noting.

It would be tempting to interpret it as evidence that Lowe was afraid to go further. I cannot know whether that was his motivation, and he did not say so. But as an interviewer, I was left with the distinct impression that he understood the consequences of directly challenging the monarch.

Lowe knows better than most what happens when political figures become the subject of sustained media scrutiny. He had already described his experience of what he regards as establishment attacks, and he was clearly conscious that anything he said about the King could quickly become the headline rather than the substance of the interview.

In that context, his decision to frame the issue constitutionally rather than personally may have been deliberate caution.

The deeper disagreement: multiculturalism

Ultimately, the exchange was about something much bigger than Charles. It was about whether Britain can maintain a coherent national identity while simultaneously embracing an increasingly expansive definition of multiculturalism.

Lowe’s position is that it cannot do so indefinitely without creating competing communities and weakening the institutions that historically held the country together.

He described Britain as having once been a “high trust society” built around a shared culture and Christian ethic. In his view, post-war immigration and the political philosophy of multiculturalism have progressively weakened that shared identity.

He went further, warning that if Britain creates a cultural vacuum by abandoning its own traditions, other ideologies and religious movements will inevitably move into it.

His concern is not simply that Islam exists in Britain. It is that Britain may be losing confidence in its own identity. That is an important distinction.

A confident society can accommodate minorities without feeling the need to apologise for its own history. Lowe’s argument is that Britain has increasingly moved in the opposite direction: questioning its own traditions while being reluctant to scrutinise the ideologies and institutions that have grown alongside mass immigration.

Lowe’s position on Muslims is more complicated than the headlines suggest

It is also worth stressing that Lowe did not advocate hostility towards individual Muslims. Indeed, he specifically said that he gets on perfectly well with Muslim MPs in Parliament despite disagreements over important issues.

His objection is directed towards political and ideological questions: integration, the influence of foreign money, the Muslim Brotherhood, Sharia courts, immigration policy, religious practices and what he sees as the erosion of Britain’s traditional cultural framework.

He also argued that minorities historically contributed enormously to Britain when they integrated into the country rather than establishing parallel societies.

Whether one agrees with all of those arguments or not, that is a more nuanced position than simply portraying Lowe as hostile to Muslims.

The unresolved question of King Charles

And that brings us back to the King.

There is a legitimate question about what it means for the monarch to be Defender of the Faith in a country that is now religiously and culturally far more diverse than it was when the constitutional settlement developed.

Charles has embraced interfaith dialogue and has repeatedly sought to present himself as a monarch who can represent people of different religions. Lowe believes that there is a constitutional line that should not be crossed.

The King, in Lowe’s view, can respect other faiths. He can engage with them. He can defend the right of people to practise their religion.

But he cannot, at the same time, dilute the special constitutional position of Christianity and the Church of England. That is the central disagreement. And perhaps the most interesting thing about the interview was not that Rupert Lowe attacked King Charles. He didn’t.

It was that a politician who openly describes himself as a royalist was nevertheless prepared to publicly question whether the modern Crown is striking the right balance between religious tolerance and its constitutional duty to defend Britain’s Christian heritage. That is a conversation worth having.

The big questions that need to be asked are: how closely are News UK working with Team Sussex? We’ve recently seen Mark Dolan, a TalkTV presenter, put out a tweet regarding Harry’s security. Couple this with the extensive propaganda The Sun is running about the duo’s return, and it’s highly likely that high-level conversations are taking place to ensure the narrative being pushed is pro-Sussex.

Mark Dolan is a lovely guy and I’ve known him for years, but you know my reporting goes forwards without fear or favour. As such, I’m bringing Insiders the bigger picture here.

Why would an independent reporter who has built a YouTube channel largely around his apparent ‘dislike’ for Harry and Meghan suddenly come forward on X — which isn’t even his content platform of choice — to clearly state, in black and white, that they should get their security back?

That deserves scrutiny.

The Palace, overall, works VERY closely with News UK. Victoria Newton holds regular meetings with the King and his aides. News UK remains a major force when it comes to setting the narrative for the public and has enormous influence over political and public discourse. With that level of access and reach comes the ability to shape and influence public opinion.

We’ve also seen a flurry of tweets from Lib Dem and Labour MPs calling for Harry to get his security back. This was always going to happen.

Harry is, after all, a soft-power asset for the Labour Party. When you’re sitting like the cat that got the cream on the Royal website, there are clearly certain luxuries and advantages afforded to you.

Soft power being abused by MPs? Two-tier treatment being applied when it comes to blue blood? It certainly looks that way to me.

The Lib Dems were always going to come forward and champion Harry. Let’s not forget that former Archewell director James Holt is now the political director for the Lib Dems. Naturally, the mainstream media aren’t giving the public all of the facts or connecting the dots between these different elements of the story.

When we say it’s one big club, it can be difficult to eloquently convey just how vast the networks of royal influence, political connections, media relationships and institutional protection actually are. This is a club built by elites, for elites — and ordinary members of the public are expected to simply accept the narrative they are given.

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle has been busy leaking stories suggesting that she feels ‘on edge’ doing the school run and that she is living in a ‘gilded cage’.

Think about that language for a moment.

It sounds like the words of someone who has absolutely no understanding of what ordinary people are dealing with. Millions of people are struggling with housing costs, crime, insecure employment and a whole host of pressures that rarely receive the same level of sympathetic coverage.

Yet we are repeatedly presented with stories designed to make the public feel sorry for Meghan and Harry.

I believe this is part of a much wider strategy. These stories are designed to slowly chip away at the public — to soften attitudes, generate sympathy and diminish any backlash against the Sussexes.

It is drip-feed PR.

One story here. One sympathetic interview there. A carefully placed comment from a journalist. A politician weighing in. A television presenter suddenly making a public intervention. Then another article reinforcing the same talking point.

Eventually, the public is expected to forget where the narrative originated and simply accept it as established fact.

I’ve always said that the public need to work harder than ever to decipher their news. What is genuine reporting? What is spin? What is PR? What has been deliberately leaked? And, perhaps most importantly, are we being manipulated into reaching a particular conclusion?

The media landscape has changed dramatically, and people can no longer afford to consume stories passively. We have to look at who is briefing whom, who benefits from a particular narrative and why certain stories are being pushed at precisely the moment they are.

Luckily, The Truth Canine will continue to call things out straight.

No fear. No favour. No walking away from the uncomfortable questions.

Because sometimes the bigger story isn’t the story being reported — it’s why that particular story is being reported in the first place.

The tabloid industry pinned the phone hacking scandal on Glenn. The public bought this, and the story ended. Not for us Insiders. This is where the story actually starts.

Not only do they take the public for fools - they forget how many of us pride ourselves on evidence-led investigations. We don’t wait for a press release to tell us what to think. We look at the pattern, the timing, and the incentives. I called it last year that Harry was getting his security.

A deep dive on this is coming for you, because there is far more to unpack here. Until then, remember this:

It’s gone from him being ‘petrified’ to bringing his wife and children to the UK due to alleged ‘security threats’, to now moving here.

Here’s where things stand: Ravec - the committee that handles security decisions on behalf of the Home Office - is reportedly having to make a fresh decision on Harry’s protection now that he and his family are moving back to the UK.

The Prime Minister has called the arrangements “a private matter.” The Home Office isn’t confirming anything yet. Maybe it never will. Andy Burnham not only deflected the question, but he also insulted every taxpayer with his reply.

Watch the narratives being built in the background, because this is where the shaping happens, before a single official word is said.

Narrative one: Harry is doing critical work with veterans, and without proper protection, he’s putting vulnerable veterans in the line of fire alongside him.

Narrative two: His ‘humanitarian work’ and his trips to Ukraine in particular (where he’s been deployed by the government despite denials) has raised his personal threat level, so the security question isn’t really about privilege anymore, it’s about risk.

Both of these are framings, NOT facts. And both are built to do the same job: make the public feel like a bad person for asking questions. That’s the mechanism. Question the spend, question the process, question the double standard - and you’re the one made to feel unreasonable.

Narrative three: The children’s lives have been put in danger, causing them trauma and posing considerable damage to their mental health.

Here’s the double standard, and it’s not subtle. This is the same Home Office that has said unvetted male migrants arriving in small boats don’t represent a defined risk to women and children. This is the same Home Office distributing leaflets to newly arrived migrants informing them that raping women and children in the UK is against the law. Throw into the mix a Prime Minister that covered up the mass rape of children…..those establishment frameworks, including the Royal family, are not known for transparency, morals or truth.

Weigh that against a security apparatus being reassembled, quietly, for one man.

Anyone looking to the mainstream media or the Home Office as a primary source of evidence to confirm any of this - I can’t help you. We’ve seen this playbook before. The evidence is in the pattern, the timing and the way the narrative develops, not simply in whatever statement eventually gets put in front of the public.

August is “silly season” in the PR, media and entertainment world. The people at the top are on holiday, the news cycle slows to a crawl, and unless there’s a major death or genuinely huge story, the same old content gets repackaged and recycled.

Expect to see old Royal stories dusted off and served up as “new.” Those billionaire media conglomerates aren’t about to let a quiet news month get in the way of the dividends their business model depends on.

For PRs, August is the annual opportunity to shoehorn clients into newspapers and magazines they’d never normally make it into. Cue the bikini shoots, beach strolls and perfectly “candid” frolicking-in-the-sand paparazzi photos as picture desks scramble to fill pages until the news agenda picks up again.

I’ll be calling all of it out here.

Those celebrities who thought they could quietly drip-feed the approved paparazzi shots they staged in Dubai back in the spring? I’m looking at you.

I’ve even pulled one from the archive that I set up for a former client...

Shot at sunset (it’s always sunrise or sunset for the best light), we made sure the hotel was named when the photographer distributed the images, fulfilling the client’s obligation to plug the property in return for the complimentary stay.

Did the photos go out immediately? Of course not. They first made a stop at the paparazzi agency’s retouching desk at the client’s request.

That day we shot an entire bank of images, which we drip-fed to news desks throughout the year. Newspapers and magazines have pages to fill and column inches to hit, so those same photos would often be repackaged with a few conveniently sourced “insider quotes” to keep the story alive.

I always liked to run a tight ship. I’d meet with picture desks and showbiz reporters, get the brief, then deliver exactly what they wanted. They got content, my client got coverage, and everyone walked away happy.

And here’s the industry fact most people don’t know: any paparazzi photos you see published from Dubai are arranged between the celebrity and the photographer. It’s illegal for paparazzi to operate there without the subject’s approval and written permission.

I won’t lie - I am genuinely giddy. We’ve got a good three weeks of peak silly season ahead, and I’m going to have a lot of fun calling the bullshit out.

Not for the sane patriots of this country, but for those who are deeply anti-British, who refuse to defend Christianity, and who promote interfaith ideology as something beyond debate.

A polite reminder to the establishment, the Crown and the Left: when you stand for everything, you stand for nothing. I want to be crystal clear about where I stand on the “human rights” of unvetted illegal migrants. I don’t. Not my problem. Not your problem. Not our country’s problem.

What does outrage me is that up to 250,000 British girls and boys have been systematically failed, targeted, groomed and raped, while a culture imported into this country has been allowed to flourish despite evidence that many argue is incompatible with Western democracy, Western values and our constitutional Christian heritage.

Our grandparents did not fight for our freedoms only for them to be traded away in pursuit of block votes. We now find ourselves in a society where the niqab is increasingly normalised. I see it as a symbol of oppression and dominance rather than liberation. It is not mentioned in the Quran and, alongside cousin marriage it has no place in modern Britain.

Rupert Lowe’s common-sense approach is the tough love this country now needs.

Nothing about it reflects assimilation, integration or embracing what it means to be British.

None of this is racist. I certainly won’t be raising my two beautiful Christian daughters to believe that cousin marriage, the niqab, Sharia law or halal meat in a constitutionally Christian country should simply be accepted as the new normal. In fact, I’ll do everything I can with my voice, my platform and my time to ensure none of it becomes normalised. Quite frankly, I find it sickening, and it regularly keeps me awake at night.

King Charles’s role in the deeply toxic mess we now find ourselves in is central to understanding why Restore Britain and Rupert Lowe have decades of decline to reverse.

There is a narrative yet to emerge, and I felt it was important to break it by bringing you this exclusive interview with Restore Britain.

In the coming months, I suspect the mainstream media will eventually follow this story, BUT with completely different framing. They will portray Restore Britain and Rupert Lowe as anti-monarchists, which they simply are not. They will almost certainly claim Rupert is “attacking a King with cancer”. And I would not be surprised to see yet another establishment smear campaign aimed at damaging Restore Britain’s reputation, perhaps even through the appearance of bad actors later used to tarnish the movement by association.

These tactics are entirely predictable. The establishment’s objective will be to shame, isolate and gaslight patriots into feeling embarrassed to be associated with Restore Britain.

It won’t work.

We have moved beyond the days when campaigns like Hope Not Hate could define public opinion through labels alone. Restore Britain and its supporters are neither racist nor Nazi sympathisers. They are simply exhausted by watching those in positions of power fail to stop the mass sexual abuse of British children while simultaneously dismantling the Christian framework that has underpinned this country for centuries.

As a political movement rises that stands in direct opposition to ideas King Charles has publicly championed over many years, the silence becomes harder to ignore. Whether you agree or disagree, these are questions that deserve to be asked openly.

That is exactly why I wanted to interview Henry Bolton.

Henry brings decades of leadership experience in both military and public life to the Restore Britain team. A former British Army officer with extensive international experience, he later served in senior public service roles before entering politics. His background in defence, national security, immigration and public policy gives him a practical understanding of many of the challenges facing Britain today.

As part of Restore Britain, Henry combines strategic experience with a clear commitment to national sovereignty, secure borders and accountable government. His willingness to engage with difficult issues makes him a valuable addition to the party’s leadership.

Henry was awarded an OBE, making this interview all the more remarkable. It is rare to hear someone who has received such recognition openly challenge the establishment in the way he does.

I have to say this is comfortably one of my top three favourite interviews.

I know many people avoid appearing on my YouTube channel because they know I won’t play the game. I ask the questions the public actually want answered, without PR spin, carefully managed messaging or watered-down framing.

As a side note, my own father received his OBE from Charles when he was Prince of Wales, and I attended the Palace for the ceremony. Needless to say, this chapter of my life - where I speak freely, expose the media and question the elite power structure- has gone down like a lead balloon.

For decades, the public has been told what to think - but rarely shown how power, influence and information intersect behind the scenes. It only felt right that my first article explores the relationship between the media, government and the Royal Household, and asks whether a small network of institutions has shaped the national conversation more than many people realise. In an age where independent journalism is challenging established narratives, one question matters above all: who really controls the story?

Intelligence services have long operated around the Royal Family within a system where access, influence and information intersect. That relationship exists within a wider media ecosystem where established institutions often protect and reinforce one another.

The mainstream media operates at extraordinary speed. News cycles are built around immediacy, competition and commercial pressure. The business model rewards constant output, but the consequence is often a loss of depth, context and critical analysis. Increasingly, audiences around the world are searching for something different: greater scrutiny, greater transparency and a willingness to challenge narratives that have traditionally gone unquestioned.

For generations, many people have felt that institutions have controlled information, shaped public perception and used fear as a tool to influence behaviour. Whether through politics, media coverage or public messaging, trust has steadily declined as people have witnessed repeated examples of institutional failure and questioned accountability. We the people are sick and tired of investigations being opened only to result in very little. We will not accept “we must do better” word-salad statements or, worse, outright deflection and suppression of the truth.

The digital revolution has fundamentally changed the landscape. The public now has access to tools, platforms and methods of investigation that were once controlled almost exclusively by traditional media organisations. Freedom of Information requests, independent journalism platforms and open publishing sites have created new avenues for people to research, question and challenge those in positions of authority.

Platforms such as Substack and other independent publishing networks have allowed journalists, researchers and commentators to bypass traditional gatekeepers. The result is two very different information ecosystems operating side by side: one dominated by legacy media organisations and another built around independent voices challenging established narratives.

The UK media landscape is particularly concentrated. A small number of companies dominate national newspaper circulation, creating a highly interconnected environment where ownership, influence and access are closely linked. Within this structure, senior figures frequently move between media organisations, government roles and positions connected to the Royal Household.

This is not some hidden underground network. These relationships are visible to anyone who follows the movement of senior executives, editors, advisers and political figures. The issue is not whether these connections exist - the issue is the lack of transparency surrounding how they influence the information presented to the public.

The media, government and the Royal Household form a powerful triangle of influence. Each relies on the others in different ways. Politicians require media access to communicate their message. The Royal Family relies on media coverage to maintain relevance and public connection. The media benefits from access to powerful institutions and the stories that come with them. This dynamic continues to support the media’s profit-driven business model while delivering returns to shareholders and investors.
