Summer has always been my favorite season. Even though the camp juggle is real (someone remind me not to put the boys in opposite camps next year!), I love the slower mornings, the long sunny evenings, and the way life just feels a little less rushed.

We’ve been fully embracing the later bedtimes so we can squeeze in cannonballs before dinner, bike rides around the neighborhood afterward, or one more Sandlot movie night with the boys (for what has to be the hundredth time).

Maybe that’s why I’ve been craving a ‘90s, Sandlot-esque summer. With only a few weeks left before school starts, I want to make the most of all the little things that made summers feel so magical growing up: running through sprinklers in the backyard, riding bikes through the neighborhood unaware of what time it was, afternoon playdates that somehow turned into spontaneous pizza nights, beach picnics, and staying outside until the sun goes down because these warm nights are just too good to waste.

I’m realizing it’s often the simplest moments that end up being everyone’s favorites. Before we know it, we’ll be packing up backpacks and racing out the door for 8am school drop-off. So for these last few weeks, I’m trying to soak up the summer magic.

Work-wise, I’ve been having so much fun creating two new Instagram series, The Easy Hosting Playbook, all about simple ways to elevate everyday hosting, and Tiny Tastebuds, Big Opinions, because we all need healthy meals that our picky kids will actually eat. I love hearing that so many of you are making the recipes, trying the hosting ideas, and sharing them with your own families. Make sure to catch up on the episodes if you’ve missed them!

Home finds I’m loving:

• We received this tequila shot set as a gift and OMG, it is so cool. My favorite addition to our new bar. Such a fun gift idea for birthdays, housewarmings, or anyone who loves to entertain.

• Apparently this is who I am now... someone who gets excited about cute powder room paper napkins, These were on sale, and they make such a simple space feel a little more polished. Put them in a holder like this!

• This olive oil and vinegar dipping tray has lived in my cart for way too long. It feels like a must for entertaining, so I think it’s finally time to commit!

What's been bringing us joy around here lately:

• The boys’ new bikes - told you I’m leaning into the biking this summer! Noah graduated to a new big-kid bike, and Max is learning on his first bike with training wheels.

• Classic movies are making a comeback in our house! We’ve officially entered the phase where the boys are old enough to enjoy some of my childhood favorites, hallelujah! The Sandlot, Angels in the Outfield, and The Parent Trap have all been on repeat. Watching The Parent Trap with them for the first time was a full-circle moment I didn’t know I needed.

• Writing down quotes from my kids because some are just too cute or funny to forget. The latest in my quote journal: “I love you crazy much.” — Max

I've definitely been off my reading game the last month or so, but my book club just picked Yesteryear, and I’m diving right in! It's about a successful trad-wife influencer who unexpectedly finds herself transported back in time to the 1800s, where she's forced to navigate a world that's completely different from her own. It sounds like a fun read and I’m excited to see if it’s worth the hype!

One of the biggest mindset shifts I’ve had over the years is realizing that the “best” workout is the one you’ll actually do consistently.

Last weekend, I went to a Megan Roup workout on the beach, and it reminded me why I love her workouts so much. It was just 30 minutes, no equipment required, and by the end, my endorphins were flowing. Being on the beach didn’t hurt either! I left feeling energized, not exhausted.

Life is busy enough without adding a workout that feels like another chore. Finding movement that seamlessly fits into your schedule and is genuinely fun is what makes it sustainable.

Easy Weekend Meal Prep Ideas

With the new season here, I’ve been feeling so inspired to cook new recipes that are healthy, fresh, and (most importantly) EASY! It seems like life just gets busier and busier these days, so having nourishing food ready to go has been a total game-changer.

Enter… My Prep, Set, Go! series. You might be following along on Instagram already, as I’ve been posting these healthy food prep Reels for the past few weeks. We’re not talking anything heavy-duty over here, just simple meal prep that makes healthy eating doable when life gets busy. I’m all about having proteins or veggies ready in the fridge to be turned into a meal, or healthy snacks to get you through those hangry moments (we’ve all been there). But let me also say that this time of year can feel especially overwhelming — a mom’s holiday to-do list can feel endless. Gifts, holiday parties, school events, cooking, creating the magic, maintaining the traditions, managing the schedules (and their little and big emotions) — all layered on top of everyday life. It’s a lot!

So before we dive in, consider this your reminder to take what you need and leave the rest. I’ll share some of my favorite links in this newsletter, and my hope is that it helps make this season a little easier. Save what’s helpful, skip the rest, and remember that you don’t need to do everything to make this season meaningful. Winter in San Diego is basically “cute layers season” with a few holiday parties sprinkled in here and there, so here are a few things I’ve been reaching for nonstop:

• A cute barn jacket to throw over your jeans and sweater or over a workout set - I love this color combo!

• A fresh new pair of Uggs - love this style and they’re currently on sale!

• These sparkly Levi’s! An absolute must for the holiday season. I’ll be rewearing these to every festive event coming up. Pair it with a cute sweater or cardigan, some silver heels, some fun earrings, and you’re good to go!

• The coziest pajamas ever! (use code LINDSAY10)

• This reversible jacket that’s chic enough for a girl’s lunch but cozy enough for school drop-off.

• My sister had this target sweater set on (pants + top) the other day, and I immediately copied her and ordered it. It looks high-end and expensive - I was shocked it was Target!

We’re already in full swing of Hanukkah over here, so instead of a wishlist, I wanted to share a few of the things we actually got the boys that they’re loving.

• Pogo sticks — random, but very nostalgic and fun. This one is perfect for littles 3+, and this one is better for the older siblings. Such a fun way to get energy out, and yes… Noah wears a helmet when he’s bouncing around outside on his because there is definitely a learning curve.

• An EZ Roller — easily one of the biggest hits. They zoom around the house (didn’t foresee this happening) and driveway (preferred!) on this thing nonstop.

• Floor puzzles — we added a couple of new ones this year, and they’re so fun to work on together.

• New pajamas — these cookies & milk ones are forever a favorite over here.

• Personalized coloring books — upload a photo of your kids for the most personalized, special coloring books. It’s such a sweet, thoughtful, easy gift that keeps them busy!

A few things I’ve been using constantly this season:

• I am so happy to report that these non-toxic pans have actually held up. After trying so many pans that just don’t last more than a couple of months, these are still as non-stick and easy to cook on as the first use!

• I’m sorry but it really doesn’t get cuter than these gingerbread mugs!

• Sometimes something as simple as the salt you’re using can bring your favorite recipes up a notch, and this salt will do that every time!

• A set of glass storage containers for leftovers and meal prep — makes the fridge feel instantly more organized.

Last month we read Broken Country, which stayed with me long after I finished it. The end had me crying in the best way — a story about love, loss, family, and the way the past can shape the present. I flew through this book and loved the twists at the end. Definitely recommend!

Next up: Isola. I’ve heard great things and know nothing about the story, which is kind of the way I love jumping into a new book, so I’m fully surprised as I read. I’ll report back!

Winter Recipe: Gluten-Free Pastina Soup (aka Italian Penicillin)

This soup was on my list of recipes to try forever, and it did not disappoint. It’s cozy, creamy, nourishing, and somehow feels nostalgic even if you didn’t grow up eating it. I love that it has vegetables blended in, so even the pickiest kids don’t notice it, and if you use bone broth, it’s an easy way to up the protein. Last time I made it, I added a couple big handfuls of cauliflower florets and it blended in perfectly. A favorite for the whole family!

This season always reminds me how quickly it all moves — the traditions, the magic, the chaos. It’s beautiful but also, crazy. So if you’re feeling behind, overwhelmed, or like you’re doing it all a little imperfectly, you’re not alone. Here are a few small things that have helped me slow the overwhelm of the season, and I wanted to share them with you:

• Put your phone away during the nightly routine — dinner, bedtime, bath time — and just be there. The to-do list can wait until later.

• Lower the bar on something that doesn’t actually matter (perfect wrapping, perfect outfits, perfect plans, saying yes to everything).

• Schedule in some walks during the week. Like actually put it on the calendar so you make it happen. Your body and mind will thank you!

• Step outside for a few minutes of fresh air when things feel loud.

• Keep a journal by your bed and write down the mental to-do list so it’s not all living in your head and keeping you up. This actually really helps me fall asleep faster!

• Take your coffee or matcha outside for a quiet moment (do you see a trend here?). Getting out instantly makes me feel calmer.

The kids also couldn’t wait a second longer to break out the Halloween decor, so as of mid-September, our house had already been overtaken by skeletons, bats, and pumpkins in every corner. Even though pre-kids, I wasn’t a huge Halloween person, it’s so fun to see the magic through their eyes, and I’m kind of loving the early start on the Halloween spirit. And with the holidays just around the corner, I can already feel that mix of excitement and chaos that comes with this season.

I’m also fully leaning into Fall outfits — cozy sweaters, layers, boots, and really channeling the colors of a pumpkin spice or chai latte. Warm caramels, soft creams, deep browns, and a little pop of cinnamon – It’s basically my new mood board for ordering a drink… and for getting dressed.

All that being said, let’s jump into the fall edition of Lindsay’s List!

• I ordered this Vuori cardigan and leggings set SO fast! I know I’ll be wearing this non-stop once it arrives.

• Speaking of Vuori, I also ordered this cozy fleece jacket that would be so cute layered over the workout set or with jeans.

• I feel like I’m in my bow era right now, so I couldn’t resist this satin hair bow. It instantly makes any outfit prettier!

• I LOVE these cozy socks and have been wearing them during chilly mornings. They make me so excited for the changing seasons.

• Lastly, these exfoliating pads… I was worried they were overhyped, but one use and I totally understood the rave reviews! Your skin is glowing after using them, even after you wake up the next morning!

• This mini waffle maker (pumpkin shape or ghost shape) is such a fun and easy breakfast win for the season.

• Getting ready for all of the pumpkin decorating things with this pumpkin painting kit.

• Obsessed with these cute orange and black matching PJs for Halloween and fall!

• Fun activity idea to keep the kids busy and out of the house: scavenger hunts! Whenever the boys are getting antsy and the mood starts to go south over here, it’s time for a scavenger hunt. Etsy has so many cute options, like this one.

• I finally upgraded my Tupperware to these ceramic / glass storage containers (perfect for soups/stews when you’re meal-prepping cozy dinners).

• Pumpkin-shaped Dutch oven because if you’re going to make chili or butternut squash soup, why not lean into the season with this one (on sale)!

• A good frother for homemade lattes—matcha, chai, pumpkin spice, you name it.

• When was the last time you replaced your oven mitts? Mine practically look vintage so I just ordered a set of these and love them.

• Fresh new tumbler in this cute eucalyptus color!

• Fall weather in San Diego means lots of layering is necessary, and this brown mockneck tank is perfect with a jacket for chilly mornings/nights and hot afternoons.

• You can’t go wrong with any Mother jeans (they are so comfortable), and this pair is definitely going to be my next purchase.

• I’ve been wanting to grab some new belts for this fall season, but tell me why they are so pricey?! This suede belt is under $80, 100% leather, and is so chic. Might have to grab in a few colors.

• I love the look of ballet flats, but somehow I always end up with blisters on the back of my heels. That’s why I’m gravitating toward these ballet flat mules that give the look without the pain!

Last month my little book club read Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid. While it wasn’t my favorite of hers (hard to top Daisy Jones and the Six), it was still a solid read that sparked good conversation and kept me interested.

Next up: The Lion Women of Tehran. I’m so excited to dive into this one—it’s been getting rave reviews and everyone says it’s one of those powerful stories that just stays with you.

Another book I just downloaded outside of my book club, my friend Dr. Zelana’s new book, Finding Focus. It’s all about staying focused in the age of distraction, and wow, do I need those tips!

There’s a reason smashburger tacos have gone viral — a juicy cheeseburger meets a taco, what more could you ask for!? It’s fast, family-friendly, and customizable with all your favorite toppings. We’ve been making these on busy weeknights, and they’re always a hit.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

8 small tortillas (I’ve used Siete almond flour tortillas or Rise & Puff tortillas)

Salt & pepper

8 slices cheddar cheese

Optional Toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, pickles, red onion, special sauce, ketchup

Instructions

Divide ground beef into 8 equal portions and press each portion flat on the tortillas. Start with the beef in the center of the tortilla and then spread towards the outside.

Season with salt and pepper.

Warm 1 tbsp avocado oil in a skillet over medium heat, then place the tortillas in the pan, beef side down. Lower the heat to medium-low.

Cook 3-5 minutes or until the beef is browned and crispy around the edges, then flip so the tortilla side crisps slightly.

Add sliced cheese on top and allow it to melt.

Top the cheese with chopped lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, onions, whatever your heart desires! I love mine with lettuce and a drizzle of Primal Kitchen special sauce.

Fold like a taco and enjoy immediately!

I wanted to pop into your inbox with a quick little update about Lindsay’s List. Until now, I’ve been sending it out every month, but moving forward, I’ll be shifting to a seasonal format—so you’ll get a fresh edition at the start of each new season (winter, spring, summer, fall). This will give me the chance to really round up the best of the best—recipes I’ve been cooking, things I’m loving, what the kids are into, books worth adding to your list, and all those little bits of life that make it full.

It definitely kept me interested and entertained, and don't get me wrong, I sobbed at the end, but I didn't love it as much as her others. Up next, The Lion Women of Tehran. I heard this one is incredible!

We've been playing a lot of board games lately, and this one is so much fun!

As we ease into August and start thinking about routines again, I hope this month’s List brings you a little inspiration, joy, and maybe a new favorite or two. From an easy Mediterranean dinner party menu to a wellness tip that’s actually doable, here’s what’s making life feel good right now…

• This Vuori set: nothing motivates me to work out more than having a cute new set to wear! Also loving this tank - the neckline is super flattering and it’s perfect for pilates or walking.

• Just ordered this one-piece, feels really chic and fun but still practical for beach days with the kids. It comes in tons of cute colors!

• My friend just gave me this cute hair clip, and now I want to start a collection of them. How adorable is this lemon one!?

• My sister wanted to do some closet updates after being pregnant, nursing, and in baby mode, and I gladly took on the task! We ordered this set (top + pants) in two colors, and she has been living in them and gets so many compliments every time she’s out and about in them!

• A new Daily Task List planner that’s keeping me organized. I like that it splits my tasks into work / life categories. I know I could just make these lists on my computer or phone, but for me, there’s still something about writing out the list (mostly because I love crossing each item off!)

• An easy summer activity: Freeze little toys inside a big container of water and let them excavate with spoons, little hammers, tools, and paint brushes dipped in warm water. Minimal mess and effort, and maximum entertainment. It kept my boys busy way longer than expected!

• Back-to-School! I know, I’m sorry to bring it up while you’re still in summer mode! But in case you’re shopping for backpacks, lunch boxes, some new wardrobe staples, etc., I’ve got you covered with this list! I had my pantry professionally organized last Fall, and wow, what a game-changer! All these months later, and the system they put in place is still keeping everything nice and organized. When I showed some of my bins on my stories the other day, I was flooded with DMs asking where I got them, so I figured I’d share a little list to get you started on your pantry organization journeys! Because a calm, organized pantry = a calmer, more organized life (actually not really, but let’s pretend!).

• These bins are super helpful for grouping categories, and they come in different sizes. A label maker is your best friend for these!

• Lazy Susans are a must, and I love that these are bamboo. Put all your dressings and vinegars on these.

• These turntables are my absolute favorite for organizing my kids’ snacks. They fit and organize all of their pouches perfectly.

• Expandable 3-tier organizers for your canned goods, nut butters, spices, etc. - they save a ton of space!

• Any food items that I decant from the packages, I keep in glass containers with bamboo lids like these. They look really pretty, and I like that the food isn’t stored in plastic. I use these for everything from chocolate chips to oats to chia seeds to rainbow sprinkles!

Since we’re in renovation mode over here for our primary bathroom, bedroom, and guest room, I’m eyeing all things non-toxic bedding, towels, mattress, etc! Here’s what’s in my cart:

• If you’re in the market for new sheets, there is nothing softer than this brand! I’ve tested out multiple organic bedding brands, and nothing compares to these. I literally can’t wait to get into my soft bed every night!

• For towels, I’m going with Crate & Barrel. They’re plush, and their pricing is a lot lower than other organic ones I’ve researched.

• I have a hot date this week to go test out mattresses, so I’ll report back once we find the one!

• This cute little scalloped bath mat for our guest bathroom.

Some of my girlfriends started a book club, and God of the Woods by Liz Moore was the first on our list. This one hooked me right away, and I spent several nights awake until 1 am reading while my heavy eyelids were closing down on me. It’s a mystery that’s not too scary, but just has lots of layers and good character development. I wouldn’t say it’s exactly a beach read, but it’s perfect for those summer nights when you just want to lose yourself in a story and figure out how it all ends!

Up next, Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Same author as Daisy Jones and the Six, and I hear this is one of her best!

Just for My List: Super Simple Cucumber Tomato Salad

Because sometimes simple is best, and no one can argue with a refreshing salad that’s 6 ingredients, 5 minutes, and 1 bowl!

Ingredients

4 Persian cucumbers, quartered

1 cup cherry tomatoes, quartered

1/4 red onion, diced

​1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1 tbsp red wine vinegar

2 tbsp Italian flat-leaf parsley, chopped

Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

Combine cucumber, tomatoes, and onion in a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and vinegar and season with salt and pepper. Add parsley. Toss well and refrigerate before serving. Serve with my lemon & herb lamb kabobs and lemony orzo salad! Enjoy!

Micro-Moments of Wellness

This is what I’ve realized in this phase of mom life… there’s very little extra time in the day. Workouts have to be scheduled if they’re ever going to happen. We have to put ourselves on our own to-do list, even when those lists feel impossibly long. But a recent mindset shift that has been helpful to me is thinking of ways to add in some “micro-moments” of wellness throughout my day. How can I build in tiny resets throughout the day… a 3-minute stretch a couple times a day, 3 deep breaths before opening my email or Instagram, a 10-minute walk after dinner. You get the idea. Tiny, consistent breaks in the day to perk you up, break up the sitting / scrolling / working / errands, and make you feel less burnt out. My favorite of all is the after-dinner stroll. It comes at a time when I’d be mindlessly snacking post-dinner and gets me out into the fresh air where I can enjoy the last moments of sunshine for that day. Yesterday, we gave the kids dinner at 5:30, and went for a family walk around 6 pm, and wow, the way it really shifted everyone’s moods before we headed into bedtime routines! Highly recommend!

This month is nearing the end, but you know I couldn’t close out June without sharing all of my favorites. From my latest book review (spoiler alert: I loved it) to the boy’s summer wardrobe and my life-changing $7 kitchen tool, here’s what’s on the List this month…

Lots of whites for summer! I love an easy breezy monochromatic outfit, including a few of these pieces…

• How adorable are these flats? They are a pair I find myself reaching for again and again— they’re super cushy and work with any outfit.

• I ordered this Target top on a whim, and it ended up being SO cute! For $36, the quality is great, and feels so summery.

• I’ve shared this purse before, and while definitely a splurge, I have been using it non-stop. The crossbody strap makes it the perfect ‘running around with kids but still stylish’ bag.

• Summer means white denim, and I’m absolutely loving these from Frame. They’re wide leg but cropped, so they are extremely flattering, and look great with flats or heels. Just FYI if you’re between sizes, they stretch a lot when you wear them.

• I always have to add a good Amazon find on the list, like this belt that’s under $20. Looks high-quality in person and completes any summer look!

• What’s summer without a few days playing on the slip n’ slide, and you can’t go wrong with this 22 ft slide that allows for two kiddos at the same time. My boys love racing their friends down it!

• A water table that actually fits the aesthetic?! Adding to cart immediately.

• My fave small blender in fun new colors, how cute is the pink?!

• This salt that elevates every meal, not kidding, I think I put it on everything at this point.

• A life-changing kitchen tool for $7, why did I wait so long to start using this!? It makes cooking so much more efficient!

I absolutely loved Emily Henry's latest book, Great Big Beautiful Life! It's different than her typical cutesy romance books (which I also always love), and while it has that element, it felt a little deeper with the two storylines and the character development. Plus, a great twist at the end! Highly recommend.

Next up, I’m switching gears and picked up The God of the Woods. Sounds like a quick page turner - can't wait to dive in!

Just for My List: Nut-Free Banana Oatmeal Cookies

A take on my OG banana oatmeal cookies, but without nuts so you can pack it for your kid’s camps or when school starts! It’s the perfect, healthy treat that the whole family will love.

Ingredients

2 1/2 bananas, mashed

1 tbsp pure maple syrup

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups quick oats

1/3 tsp cinnamon

1/3 cup chocolate chips

Pinch of flaky sea salt

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spray with avocado oil.

2. In a bowl, mix mashed bananas with maple syrup, egg, and vanilla extract.

3. Add quick oats and cinnamon. Stir together, then fold in the chocolate chips.

4. Using a cookie scoop, scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Press down slightly to form into an even, round cookie.

5. Bake for 12-14 min. Remove from oven and sprinkle with sea salt. Enjoy!

With a fresh season on my mind, let’s dive into my latest faves. From the cutest outfit purchases to fresh and delicious recipes, I hope this month’s list gets you just as excited as I am for the month ahead. On the List this month…

• I just bought this cute eyelet top, and it’s the perfect feminine summery top to pair with jeans, shorts, or a skirt.

• You know I love a good Amazon find, and I’ve been living in this workout top lately. I have it in multiple colors, and I love that I don’t need to wear a bra!

• You might have seen this Staud dress on my Instagram stories. It’s so comfortable and easy to throw on, basically the perfect summer sundress.

• Warm weather means all things linen, and I am loving my new linen vest and pants set. So cute for travel, too!

• My new Merit makeup routine - So obsessed with their makeup, it’s perfect for a minimalist like me who doesn’t really have makeup skills and needs to be out the door in 5 minutes. It has such a great glow and goes on so beautifully, you really can’t mess it up!

I can’t believe I’ll have a Kindergartener in August! We’ve been doing a lot of kindergarten activity books around here - This one is a fave. Also, these books help teach them to read!

We used to avoid taking the kids out to restaurants because it always ended up being a hot mess, but now they’re at better ages and I’ve learned to be prepared with a “go bag” of activities to take with us. Highly recommend putting together a bag with these items and keeping it by your garage or in your car so you always have it for the kids! Here’s what's in our “go bag”:

One of my most popular topics in my DMs is what I use to make my matcha lattes at home. I have yet to find a matcha that I love more than my homemade one, and it’s thanks to the matcha I use and some really good tools. Here’s what you need:

• Pique Ceremonial Grade Matcha - This is the purest, smoothest matcha out there. Believe me, I’ve tried them all!

• Handheld frother - I love this one because it’s rechargeable.

• Milk frother - I’ve had it for a year and a half, and it still works like a charm to make the frothiest lattes.

It took me months to recover from reading The Women. If you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend it, and keep the tissues close by! I needed a reading break afterwards before I could pick up anything else, and I finally dove into The Housemaid. It was a quick read, as everyone said, a thriller and a page-turner. Parts of it felt a bit silly and drawn out, but still, I stayed up until 1 am because I couldn’t put it down. Now, I’m onto Emily Henry’s new book, Great Big Beautiful Life. I have been waiting for this one because I absolutely love Emily Henry and have read all of her others. I’ll report back once I finish, but it’s off to a good start!

Just for My List: Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Were you a Jamba Juice Strawberries Wild girl circa 2003 like me? I’ve been making a really yummy and filling strawberry banana smoothie these days, and it’s bringing me back to my Jamba Juice mornings, sipping that Strawberries Wild on my way to 11th grade.

Ingredients

½ frozen banana

4-5 frozen strawberries

¼ cup cottage cheese (I like the good culture lactose-free one)

1 tbsp almond or cashew butter

1 serving vanilla protein powder (aim for 20 grams of protein)

1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (I like malk organics)

Optional: big handful of spinach

Ice

Instructions

Blend all ingredients until smooth. Enjoy!

Recent Purchases and Things I’m Wearing

• Now that spring is officially here and the weather is heating up, I’ve found myself gravitating toward all of the spring colors, specifically a light buttery yellow! What is it about yellow that causes an instant mood boost? This button-up top is such an easy and cute throw-on piece, and I’m loving this knit jacket for those days that are still a little bit chilly.

• I’ve been obsessed with all things pointelle lately, and this adorable pink tee and lightweight cardigan are no exception!

• Speaking of easy throw-on pieces, meet my new favorite jeans (that are on sale)! The ankle length is perfect to wear with cute spring sandals and flats, plus the fit of Mother denim is always super flattering and comfy.

• There are a ton of great spring trends this season, but one of my favorites is bright-colored sneakers. I just purchased this red pair and they are super comfortable!

• Continuing with my recent shoe purchases… these flat sandals. How springy and cute are they? I’ve been dressing them up and down and have worn them with so many outfits already. Definitely worth the splurge! I put together even more of my favorite spring sandals here if you’re looking to upgrade your shoe game for the season.

• For the t-ball, football, and soccer mamas reading this, you need this sweatshirt for your weekend gamedays. I’ve been wearing it basically every weekend and can say it’s worth the hype.

• This brand makes the cutest phone cases - they have a buy 2 get one free deal so I couldn't resist the Aperol Spritz, gelato, and Peonies cases! Honestly didn’t realize how much happiness a new phone case would bring, but it really sparks some joy! It’s the little things :).

Kid’s Things

• Tantrum-reducing gummies? Who knows, maybe it's a placebo or maybe it's all in my head, but I swear I see a difference in my kids’ meltdowns when they take these NeuroBrocc sulforaphane gummies. Plus they think they taste like gummy bears, so it’s a win all around!

• Emailing my kids: I know this sounds kind of strange considering my kids are only 3 and 5, but I started emailing them. Hear me out. I always wanted to be the mom who writes in a baby book for each of my kids, but time gets away from you so quickly in these early days, and I just never did it. So instead, I set up an email for each of them. When they say something funny, or they do something I know I'll want to remember, or we have a special day together, or celebrate something together, I write them an email about it. I attach photos from the day or whatever event I happen to be talking about in the email, and I send it. I think of them years down the road, reading these emails and how special it will be for us to reminisce over. But I also just love logging into their emails and reading the ones I sent even a couple years ago. It's like my digital journal of their childhood for them, and also, for me. Another easy way to jot down their funny one-liners and questions is this My Quotable Kid journal.

Kitchen Additions and Favorites

• When was the last time you treated yourself to some new oven mitts? Mine are on their last leg, they actually look vintage, and not in a good way. I finally ordered a new pair (currently on sale!) and they bring a little extra joy to my cooking!

• Snagged this cruet that looks beautiful on your countertop!

• I can't stop snacking on the Simple Mills sweet thins. I'm totally addicted to these. Speaking of, have you tried my version of the frozen s'mores using these? Find it below! They are one of the yummiest desserts ever to come out of my kitchen and so easy!

Currently Eyeing

• This perfect, easy dress to throw on this season.

• Saw this purse on Michelle Monaghan and fell in love with it!

• These gorgeous ceramic "blates" - not a bowl, not a plate, just the perfect dish to eat everything from!

Book Club

Can I tell you guys why I've been so off my book routine? Substacks! I've been spending more time reading substacks and haven't been reaching for my Kindle as much. Some favorites - The In-between by Geri Hirsch, Healthful Radiance, Btwn Meals by Mia Rigden, and More, Please by Rachel Mansfield. If I had to pick just one, it would be Geri's, I just love how she writes — it's like diving into a newsletter by your bestie mixed with Carrie Bradshaw.

Watching

My favorite show I’ve seen in a while - Paradise. Have you watched? We flew through the whole season in 3 days and loved every minute. If you haven’t seen it yet, get on it! Also, how is it possible that James Marsden simply doesn’t age?

And how about that White Lotus finale? I won't say too much so that I don't give it away, but wow my heart rate was so high the entire time!

When I posted a poll on Instagram asking which White Lotus character (from any of the 3 seasons) you'd want to sit next to on a long flight — the majority of people said 19 or 2. Do you agree?

Recipes of the Month

New Just for My List: The Perfect GoNanas Banana Muffins

I have completely perfected my GoNanas banana muffins! You could, of course, just follow the recipe on their package, but I love to doctor them up with added protein, some extra veggies, and less sugar, and let me tell you, they are such a hit every time I make them!

Ingredients

1 package GoNanas original banana bread mix

2 bananas

1/2 Serenity Kids Squashes pouch (you can also swap this out and do a 3rd banana instead, but I love adding in some veggies!)

1 egg

1 tbsp avocado oil

1 tbsp almond milk

1 scoop vanilla protein (I use Taylor Dukes Wellness vanilla)

Toppings: mini chocolate chips or blueberries

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a muffin pan with avocado oil.

2. Mash bananas and mix with squash pouch (if using) in a large bowl.

3. Add egg, almond milk, avocado oil, and mix well.

4. Pour in GoNanas mix and protein powder. Give everything a stir until well combined.

5. Scoop into prepped muffin pan and sprinkle mini chocolate chips or a couple blueberries on top.

6. Bake about 20-25 minutes until set. Enjoy!

Recent Purchases & Things I’m Wearing

• Can’t stop wearing this $38 fleece from Amazon. It’s so cozy and has been my go-to for the gloomy, cold weather in San Diego lately. I’ve mostly been throwing it on with leggings but would be so cute with jeans, too!

• Speaking of leggings, this pair is buttery soft and they are always the first ones I reach for in my drawer. Great quality, fit, and super flattering - I love that V waistband.

• I’ve been in my pilates era as of late and half the fun is finding cute grippy socks. My latest faves are from California Grip Socks & Lucky Honey – just ordered these cute sporty ones.

• The best mascara I’ve tried in a long time – I had been eyeing (no pun intended) the Thrive Causemetics mascara for a while and finally tried it out and can 100% confirm it’s worth the hype! It makes your lashes so long and thick and it washes off easily without you having to rub your eyes too much. A must try!

Kid’s Things

• The boys have been having so much fun with this LED light-up drawing board. It’s under $20 and keeps them entertained (at least for a few minutes!). You can put a photo underneath it for them to trace and they’ll be so proud of the amazing drawings they make with it!

• Max’s favorite birthday gift was this story dream machine! You can buy extra stories based on your kid’s interests to swap in. Seriously such a great gift for the kids.

• Anytime a bad mood strikes in my house, I’ve been trying to get the kids out for a nature scavenger hunt. I swear by it now! It keeps them busy and they get really excited to check off each item. Etsy has tons of options - this is the one we used this week.

Kitchen Additions

• Obsessed with my new Tucci x Greenpan pans – they’re beautiful and nothing sticks! Hoping they last and wear well, but so far so good!

Currently Eyeing

• I’ve been on the hunt for some cute, slimmer-looking sneakers. Specifically loving these Onitsuka Tigers, this lavender suede pair from Dolce Vita, and this eyelet pair that would be so pretty for spring.

Book Club

Not going to lie, I’m feeling a little uninspired in the reading department lately. I finished The Women, which was one of the best books I’ve ever read and just such an emotional rollercoaster that I had a hard time getting into another book right after. BUT I think I’m going to pick up the third book in the Fourth Wing series, Onyx Storm. It came out in January and I’ve heard good things so far, so I think I’m ready to dive back into the world of Basgiath, especially after that cliffhanger in book 2! If you haven’t read yet, read it with me and we can discuss!

Recipes of the Month

New Just for My List: Pesto White Bean Zucchini Soup

While I’m so ready for clear skies and springy weather, the reality is it’s still winter and the only thing I’m craving is cozy, hearty soups. So break out those soup pots and make my new white bean pesto soup! I made this after a weekend of being totally out of my healthy routine and just wanted to get a bunch of green veggies into my body, and this recipe did the trick! It’s also a great way to clear out any leftover greens in your fridge at the end of the week… throw ‘em all in this soup! Try it and let me know what you think!

Ingredients

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

½ white onion, diced

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp dried oregano

4 cups chicken bone broth

½ cup water

2 zucchini, chopped

1 can white cannellini beans, drained and rinsed

4 tbsp of homemade or your favorite store-bought pesto

Salt & pepper to taste

1 big handful chopped kale (or spinach or any other greens in your fridge)

Garnish: Freshly grated parmesan cheese & fresh basil leaves

Instructions

1. Add 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil into a pot over medium heat. Add onion and saute until fragrant, about 4 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, and garlic powder and saute another minute.

2. Add bone broth and water and bring to a simmer. Heat should be at low/medium.

3. Add zucchini and cook for about 5 minutes.

4. Add white canellini beans, give everything a stir, and cook another 5 minutes, until zucchini is just about finished.

5. Add pesto and stir well. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

6. Turn off the heat and then add in kale. Stir the soup and as soon as the kale softens and wilts, soup is ready to go.

7. Divvy up into bowls and top with freshly grated parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves. Enjoy!

• “Cake for Breakfast” aka Blended Baked Oats: Once I finally tried the blended oats trend and realized it basically was like eating cake for breakfast, it became one of my (and my kids’) breakfast staples. Basically like cake, except it’s packed with healthy ingredients like oats, collagen, egg, and nut butter. You can top it with chocolate chips, nuts, berries, or anything that sounds good and it will be delicious!

• Protein Cookie Dough Bites: Perfect for that afternoon sweet tooth but with a good amount of protein and good-for-you ingredients! I used a cute silicone heart mold but you can roll them into balls, cut them into squares, whatever your heart desires!

• Gluten-Free Lasagna Soup: Throwing in another soup recipe because… well, it’s cozy season and it’s one of my favorite ways to have a healthy meal. I love this lasagna soup as it’s so yummy, cheesy, and sneaks in some veggies. What could be better? Hope you love it as much as I do!
