Interfaith is Syncretism otherwise known as Humanist Pluralism

Most of you may have heard of something called “interfaith” dialogue and perhaps you have not thought too much about it. It seems to be posed as a positive activity by religious leaders from around the world. There are official ecumenical organizations around the globe set up to focus on this interfaith dialogue. Organizations like the “Parliament of the World’s Religion’s which first convened in 1893, the “Center for Engaged Religious Pluralism,” and the “International Interfaith Dialogue India.” These are only a handful of the hundreds of organizations around the globe that have come together in the last 100 years. The purpose is to create positive dialogue between the various religions from around the world to find common ground. Dialogue is good and is necessary to avoid more religious wars.

The Basic Premise As To Why These Organizations Began

Large conferences are held in various nations to report on their respective core faith belief systems and to speak on what changes need to be made to improve understanding between the various religions. The leaders of these movements are very sincere in their efforts to avoid religious wars in the future with a desire to promote peace and unity. It is healthy to celebrate our cultural differences and views on life and traditions, however, for the Jewish and Christian faiths as well as the Islamic tradition, there is no way to accept any compromise without completely changing the core tenets on which these faiths are based.

Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are considered to be the three dominate religions of the world. All three of these faith traditions have an immovable eternal perspective doctrine on the afterlife. What these world organizations have managed to do, however, is to allow for the nose of the camel to breach the tent of exclusivity held by each individual religion. Those who hold fast to their written word remain steadfast; however, those who see opportunity for advancement have begun to compromise their beliefs and have taught others to do the same.

The Problem For The Interfaith Narrative

No matter how hard these groups try to create a homogeny of belief systems, it will not happen as long as Jews, Christians, and Muslims take their sacred books seriously. This is because these three religions strongly believe that their respective books were written by the Creator of the universe. It should go without saying, all religions are not equal and they never will be. The Jews and the Christians do share the same God known as Yahweh which separates them from everyone else and is the reason that their faithfulness to God is diametrically opposed to all other religions. Muslims, on the other hand, believe in another god that they call Allah. Hindus believe in a multitude of lesser gods and Buddhists claim to be atheistic, but have a tendency to worship various Hindu gods. Confucius’s religious system is based on a universalist view of oneness with the universe. The New Age religion seems to represent all of these religions and faith-based systems with no clear absolutes.

Why The Judeo-Christian God Must Be Eliminated To Make This Work

Will The Real Creator of the Universe Please Make Yourself Known!

Many believe that the God that everyone is searching for is the same entity and that no one has a complete picture of this Ultimate Being. This is true up to a point. Every human seeks the Creator because he created us in his likeness it is written into our genetic makeup (Gen:1:27). The most natural thing humans do is to seek God, Scripture tells the reader that the God of the universe has put eternity on our heart, and this causes us to innately desire to know Him and to return to the peaceful state that God had planned for humanity in the beginning (Ecc. 3:11). The paths that people choose to take, however, will either lead them to the Creator, or mislead them to the enemy of humanity, satan. This reality is the reason why Yahweh’s very first directive is forbidding his people to put any other god in His place

Although Jews, Christians, and Muslims are monotheistic faiths their understanding of an Ultimate being is fundamentally different. Jews and Christians share the same God as mentioned before, Yahweh, who has revealed himself to the world in the Judeo-Christian Bible. With regard to the Jewish faith, their book is known the TANAKH, otherwise recognized as the Old Testament. Christ followers depend on both the New Testament and the Old Testament together. The Bible is known as God’s special revelation to humanity as it is the only place where humans can learn about the nature and character of the Creator. Islam, on the other hand, appears to be a heretical form of Christianity according to Islamic scholars Daniel Janosik, Ph.D.^[1] and Jay Smith, Ph.D.^[2] The God depicted in the Bible is not at all like the Islamic Allah. They are vastly different entities. The God of Israel has character traits that stem directly from his nature (Mal. 3:6). The Qur’an, on the other hand, depicts a god whose character traits stem from his will to be one way or another with no clear indication as to what his will is at any given time (Sura 16:101). He has more in common with Ba’al, the ancient Mesopotamian god, than with Yahweh, the God of Israel. There are many differences between the two when it comes to their character and nature when one compares them based on the Bible and the Qur’an. The Judeo-Christian God is therefore not the same as Allah. Both cannot be the same deity as they are inherently opposite.

How The Idea Is Sold To Humanity - An Effort Not To Repeat History

Everyone would agree that it is important to learn from the past to prevent the mistakes of our predecessors. No one wants to repeat the religious wars from the 11^th and 12^th centuries or the atrocities of the 16^th century. It makes sense that there is a great effort being made to entertain open dialogue to try and understand each other. As the image bearers of the Creator, it is in our nature to desire peace. The quest for shalom lies at the heart of every living soul, but it can never be attained without the God of the universe. Many unsuccessful attempts have been made over the millennia since the Fall of Humanity (Gen. 3).

The Crusades and the brutalities of the Reformation remain as permanent blemishes on the Christian and Islamic religions. Both horrific epochs came at a great cost. Not only at the expense of human lives, but also at the cost of the legitimacy of these religions to the watching world. Who would want to be a part of a religion that forces its followers to adhere to traditions that they do not fully understand or agree with? The question is; will interfaith dialogue prevent future religious wars? Is peace between the religions of the world attainable through the work of these interfaith organizations?

It is important to remember that true faith cannot be forced. Forced faith, which was a large part of the Crusades, the wars of the Reformation period, and later the coercive tactics of the British Empire and their state sanctioned religion, only serves to produce compliant deviant adherents who do not have a relationship with their Creator. Judaism and Christianity are not based on an ideology; they are based on a relationship with the Creator of the universe. This is vastly different from all other faiths. Regardless of what faith-based religion one will find, they are all seeking the same wholeness and peaceful harmony that Yahweh originally intended for humanity. This is why many see interfaith pluralism as the answer to attaining peace.

On the surface, everyone seems to be seeking the same Ultimate Deity. The common thread is that all the religions involved in the interfaith groups do recognize that there is a metaphysical realm that cannot be seen but can clearly be sensed. All the religions involved believe in some form of spiritual force that somehow controls the known universe. Whether the religion is polytheistic or monotheistic, the shared belief in a superior spiritual entity that will bring peace, in some way, is at the core of these interfaith efforts.

Beneath The Surface

The problem, however, lies under the surface. To begin with, the three major monotheistic faiths believe that world peace can only be attained when their respective God is allowed to rule over humanity. Until that time is realized, the world will remain at unrest. The other religions that are polytheistic in nature, live at the mercy of cosmic forces and are forever striving to appease their gods and unseen powers to find peace. They do not look to an ultimate Being for guidance to attain salvation. These pluralistic religious beliefs are as old as time and operate on a works-based system. The spiritual entities that are prayed to and worshiped represent some form of the same gods and goddesses mentioned in the Judeo-Christian Bible (Judges 16:23; Lev. 20:1-3; 1 Kings 11:33). These gods and idols represent a god for every desire even wishing death on others. These beliefs and customs are very different than the beliefs of the three major monotheistic world religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are monotheistic and all three are forbidden by their holy books to entertain worship of other gods. A pluralistic way of life is not an option. In fact, all three religions are looking forward to a theocratic rule of some sort when all discrepancies are sorted out. Scripture promises a day when the whole world will bow to the one true God (Is. 2:2). The God of the Bible wants only the good for all of humanity, he does not force or coerce allegiance from the human soul, a s is the tendency of tyrannical governments and demonic influences. Manmade ideologies operate on fear tactics and by force, which is not the theocracy offered by the Creator.

Interfaith dialogue seems to intentionally ignore the fundamental differences between the ideologies of the pluralistic faith traditions and the monotheistic faiths. The proponents of these organizations are claiming that all faith traditions hold equal value and that this equality needs to be respected, accepted, and agreed upon. To hold all religious faiths as equal is to deny the exclusivity of the God of Israel, and for the Muslims, their Allah. Due to the relativistic world in which we live in the 21^st century it is a common misconception to see faith in the spiritual realm as an ideology but for Jews, Christians, and Muslims, their faiths are not based on ideologies that can change over time. Their faith is a matter of life or death in eternity. The premise behind the interfaith mantra is known as pluralism which is another word for syncretism and is strictly forbidden for Jews and Christians.

The majority of the Old Testament is a warning against giving other gods equal or greater value than to the God of Israel. Both Israel and Judah were given over to their enemies for participating in other belief systems. The whole purpose of Yahweh setting his chosen people apart is to create a nation that would point the world to him and his love and away from the demonic. For Christians, the same behavior is also forbidden. Scripture tells the reader that Jesus proclaimed that no one will ever come to the Father accept through him (John 14:6). Accepting the Jewish or Christian faiths as equal to pluralistic beliefs would nullify the power of the Gospel and the whole purpose of God’s chosen people. (Deut. 7:6; 1 Pet. 2:9).

The attempts to merge the Christian and the Islamic faith that has been coined as ‘Chrislam’ is the latest effort to syncretize these two faith traditions. Those who know their Scripture, however, realize that there are fundamentally serious doctrinal differences that make this not only an effort in futility, but also heretical at its core. This effort shows great ignorance on the part of those who would even suggest that these religions have anything in common. It is an antisemitic effort to deny the God of Israel as the one true God and Creator of the universe.

Water It Down!

Much to our detriment, there is a clear misunderstanding of what the Christian faith stands for. The Gospel of the Christ cannot be underestimated. For a professing Christian to engage in interfaith dialogue and agree to their terms, he or she must completely water down the Gospel and do away with the exclusivity of the Christ. There can be no absolutes in the interfaith realm which will, in effect, neuter the Judeo-Christian Bible. Without the absoluteness of Christ or the one true God, spirituality becomes individualized and moral boundaries become relativized. If this sounds like the world you are witnessing today, it is because we are now living through the logical conclusion of over 100 years of intentional efforts to create a relativistic world.

A morally relativistic world is ready to accept anything that even minimally resembles the Utopia that humans were created to enjoy walking with their Creator even if by force. It is important not to overlook the fact that a relativistic world is based on shifting sand. It is this shifting sand onto which a relativist builds one’s core philosophical beliefs. Postmodern ideology also convinced many that history is not important and that traditions are a social construct and can be changed. If I told you that this was all designed by demonic intervention in the lives of those who reject the God of the universe; what would you think?

Everything about this way of thinking and living life goes against anything having to do with the Judeo-Christian God, literally everything. His absoluteness, his creativity, his interactions with humanity throughout history, and the boundaries that he set in place for his creation are only a few of the aspects that have been distorted by relativistic ideologies This is the work of the antagonistic forces of evil that hold sway over the lives of those who do not know God. Humanistic academia and liberal theology have been the driving forces behind this mass deception in the Westernized cultures around the world. If nothing else, this should be a wake-up call for every professing Christian to understand why one believes what one believes and to make sure to back up what one hears about God with Scriptural understanding, just like the Bereans did with Paul.

As a result of the dominant and militant relativistic culture in the West, many seminaries began raising up a generation of pastors who were taught that the Bible was a living document that could be interpreted in relation to the current times. The outcome of this heresy was a watered-down Gospel with little to no authoritative value, leaving people with little to no spiritual understanding and a moral relativism that mirrored that of the unbelieving world. In the late 20^th century British missionary to India, Lesslie Newbigin, warned about the growing trend of seekers temporarily moving to India to find the meaning of life and the spirituality that had been lost in the West.^[3] Unfortunately, the Church did not take heed and the result has been a world that sees religion as nothing more than a relativistic ideology tailored to fit each individual whim.

As relativism took center stage in the West, the atmosphere was ripe for a new type of religion that would not offend anyone. A religion with no teeth. A religion for this new age of humanism where all behaviors are permitted, a world with no absolutes. A world of designer and personal gods that will excuse individual proclivities. The Judeo-Christian Church dogma of absolutes was shunned and ridiculed, it was seen as far too restrictive and judgmental for this New Age.

This wave of rejection became too much for many church leaders so, in an effort to remain relevant, they further watered-down the Scriptures even to the point of rejecting the nature of God that is revealed in the Old Testament. Relativism became the accepted and dominant worldview in these modern and postmodern eras. The world, however, cannot live or function without some form of spirituality because that is who we are as humans. We are by nature, spiritual beings that operate in the flesh. As a result of living in a relativistic society, spirituality became whatever people saw fit to best represent their personal desires. The Judeo-Christian God was sidelined, once again, for a polytheistic world. Even the Catholic Church’s Pope Francis gave in to the idea of evolution in 2014.^[4] The Church needs to consider all possibilities, and always trust what Scripture says, otherwise we run the risk of leading people astray and driving them away from the Word and God.

Nature Hates A Vacuum

If God is rejected as the guide and ruler of humanity, then who will fill that void? History has shown that the human mind will begin to create its own ideas of rulership which will inevitably be based on the vacillating ideologies of mankind. These ideologies will stem from each person’s own core philosophical beliefs about eternity, spirituality, morality, and ethically acceptable behaviors. If there is no absolute Truth, then everyone is free to make up their own idea of truth. Everyone will have a personal variation of who their god is, hence, the rise of “designer” and “personal” gods. What will result from this chaos is a chaotic world and one thing will lead to another.

God created us as creatures of order. When He created the universe, everything was done in an orderly fashion for a reason. To sustain life. Disorder causes dysfunction and a civilization cannot be productive with vacillating competing perspectives on eternity and morality, because there will always be turmoil. People will naturally seek some form of leadership to maintain a semblance of order to their civilizations, but what type of leadership will be put in place? In a world of no absolutes the world becomes a might make right and survival of the fittest type of atmosphere. Culture will be ruled by those in positions of power and rules and regulations will be based on the ideologies of those in control. People will seek out alleged experts, which in turn will lead to a technocratically run civilization. These humanist technocrats will set the standard for right and wrong.

Exclusive ideas on eternal perspectives are not welcome in a relativistic world. Therefore, the absoluteness of the Creator and his Messiah are a threat to this type of atmosphere and must be tamed or eradicated to maintain man’s idea of peace. The vacuum that is caused by a neutered God will be filled by the false religions that rise up in His place. False religions, that are driven by the focus of fleshly pursuits and proclivities such as money, sex, and power (1 John 2:16). This creates an atmosphere of envy, lust, and strife where people become slaves to their desires and to a system that promises to fulfill those desires (John 8:34).

The hidden factor that many do not see, is the loss of the freewill that God has given each human soul. The freewill to choose how to use one’s gifts with the purpose of showing one’s love for the LORD (Col. 3:23). This type of society is no different from those cultures of ancient Mesopotamia under the rulership of their overlords who extracted some form of tax from the people in exchange for the promise of protection. In some cases even their own children were sacrificed to Molech for the benefit of the society to find favor from their gods.

Spiritual Compromise

The idols and false gods represented by this New Age, may not look like they did in ancient Mesopotamia, but the spirits behind them are the same evil spirits that misled humanity into both human and spiritual depravity which ultimately led to self-destruction in antiquity (Gen. 19; Ecc. 1”9). When the Creator of the universe is denied his rightful position as the King of kings and LORD of lords, depraved humanity will rule over the masses. This is where we are today. The governmental structure has been set by a might makes right rules-based order^[5], but now the spiritual component needs to be addressed to balance the physical with the spiritual needs of the human soul.

Enter center stage, the interfaith movement. With a watered-down version of the Judeo-Christian God, religious interfaith leaders are tasked with creating their own set of standards. The three major monotheistic religions have risen as the leaders of this ecumenical movement, each with their own set of standards and understandings. They are all seen as equal since the common belief is that they all worship the same ultimate Being. This is the height of syncretism where spiritual compromise is palpable. In order to codify this syncretistic religion of the end times, a stunning Interfaith Complex, the Abrahamic Family House, built in Dubai, opened its doors in March 1, 2023. The complex includes three impressive buildings representing the Jewish faith, the Christian faith, and the Islamic faiths.

Interfaith dialogue is needed in order to understand our differences, but compromising the character and nature of the Creator is a deadly game. It is misleading and will end up deceiving the masses (Lk. 17:1-3). This is the religious system of the Beast and will attract the multitudes to their doors because it is easy and there are no absolute moral boundaries (REV 2 witnesses). Jesus warned that in the end there would be numerous false messiahs (saviors) and that many would fall away from the faith and chase after false spirits (Matt. 24:22-24). The reality is that there is only one way to heaven, period (John 14:6). The Christian community must stand its ground on this reality. The alternative to the absoluteness of Christ is the deceptive and destructive road paved by Satan himself.

Understanding what you believe and why is a matter of life and death.

Genesis 4:6-7

At some point in every person’s life, one will face rejection and in turn will reject others. It is inevitable. Mankind is at liberty to discern what to accept or not to accept and that is because humans were created with a conscious freewill that enables them to make choices. Unfortunately, the human mind spends much of its lifetime choosing to reject the things of God. This is what we find happening in the above Scripture verse. Choosing to ignore the LORD will ultimately cause a person strife and hardship. God created the universe for perfection as an extension of his very own nature. For the created order to function properly, every created thing will operate best when following the guidelines set by the Creator. Much to our own demise, however, the only corporal creatures in God’s creation that rebel against his design and required boundaries, are human beings (Luke 8:23-25).

Yahweh has always had the good in mind for his perfect creation, even the angels were given freewill but sadly some of them chose to reject him and chose to follow satan instead (Gen. 6:1-4). We are never told why these heavenly creatures rebelled against God, but because of their influence on weak-minded and unsuspecting humans, their negative influence has spread like a plague. It did not take long for evil to step into God’s perfect new world (Gen. 3:1-3). God’s adversary, the devil, and his deceptive ways convinced Eve to doubt in God’s word and in so doing she rejected the one boundary that God had set for his crown of creation (Gen. 2:16-18). The more you study the Bible the clearer it becomes that every single boundary God has set for humanity has a purpose and that purpose is to protect people from further harming themselves and falling into satan’s deceptive traps.

The Consequences

The consequences for the first family’s disobedience required them to leave the comforts of their first home where they had the privilege of learning about the world from Yahweh.^[1] Life was and is not easy outside of God’s immediate presence and the idealistic conditions of paradise that humans were designed for. Selfishness and strife did not take long to set in as food and comforts were no longer limitless (Gen. 3:17-19). The challenges of life brought envy and rage. Although Yahweh continued to speak to the first family, they were very vulnerable to evil. The chapter that follows the fall of humanity (Gen. 3) documents the first murder based on selfishness and jealousy (Gen. 4:8-9). Before Cain allows envy and rage to fill his soul, the Creator warns him that his jealousy for his brother needed to be addressed before it overtook him and turned to hate and violence (Genesis 4:6-7).

God’s warning to Cain in Genesis 4:6-7 is incredibly important. It informs the reader that God did not leave us without a defense against the devil and his persuasive schemes. We still have a choice, and we are able to overcome feelings of lust and jealousy before they manifest into physical actions. Acting out adds to the permanence of behavioral patterns that end up building our character which will inevitably determine our destiny (James 1:14-16). What most people see on the outside is the manifestation of the heart as the outward expression becomes visible in one’s behavior. The most dangerous part of acting on our negative thoughts is that behavioral patterns create chemical markers that become embedded onto our DNA overtime, which are then passed on from generation to generation.^[2] This can be for good or it can be highly destructive to the person who is acting out with evil intent.

The Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry, and why has your face fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, and you must rule over it.”

Genesis 4:6-7

Cain rejected his Creator’s warning and in a fit of rage committed a violent murder (Gen. 4:8-10). Cain chose to allow for satan to grip his soul and then he acted out on his fleshly desire to get rid of his brother who was a constant reminder of his own narcissism. Cain’s character began to shape his destiny by choosing to turn his back on God as he gave himself over to his fleshly desires to make himself feel better. The consequences for this grievous sin were that he was banished from his immediate family and that his hardened soul would plague him and his descendants for generations (Gen. 4:23-24).

Many call this generational sin, because this type of corruption can be traced from generation to generation. Fortunately, it can be overcome, and that is God’s gift to us. We are not destined to repeat the corruption of our ancestors, or to be trapped in a never-ending cycle of anxiety and undesirable behaviors because of the epigenetic sequences that we inherit. It does take effort to free ourselves from this genetic dilemma, but it can be overcome.

Rage and Rejection

The reader of Genesis is not given a full account of the relationship between Cain and his brother Able, but what it does show the reader is that Able recognized the awesomeness of the Creator and his gift offering was a reflection of his heart for God. It is evident by Cain’s interactions with the LORD, that Cain’s soul was defiant and a bit lacking in his respect for the Creator. It appears that Cain felt rejected by Yahweh which set into motion feelings of rage which then manifested themselves as rebellion against God, as opposed to self-reflection.

Oddly enough, when Cain was banished from his homeland, he feared that someone would find him and murder him (Gen. 4:13-15). Evidently the world was already increasing in violence; but why? Adam and Eve were still alive and God was still noted as communicating with humanity. Apparently, the elements of good and evil were already manifesting themselves in this new world. In the midst of this atmosphere, God continued to bless his image bearers even though they continued to reject him in many ways. The reader is told that Eve is eventually blessed with another male child whom she views as a replacement for her murdered son, Able (Seth).

A Turning Point

The influence of the devil on the hearts and minds of the people became prevalent as envy and strife increased alongside population growth. Scripture notes that at this point in history people began “calling on the name of the LORD” only a couple of hundred years after the creation of humanity (Gen. 4:26). Why did they do that? Was God no longer communicating with them, or had they rejected him to the extent that he stepped back and let them have their way (Rom. 1:18-32). Here in this verse, it appears that we have a turning point. People began seeking help from their Maker as they called on his name.

To Seth also a son was born, and he called his name Enosh.

At that time people began to call upon the name of the Lord.

Genesis 4:26 (ESV)

The birth of Enosh seems to have sparked a renewed sense of the human need for their Creator. When humanity rejects the LORD and his ways they suffer and make life harder on themselves as they reap the consequences of going against the grain. Perhaps people began to recognize their need for God’s guidance in this harsh atmosphere at this point in history. This does not necessarily mean that everyone alive turned to their Creator. There will always be those who turn and blame God for their misfortune, even when their own behavior is the reason for their problems. There is nothing new under the sun (Ecc.1:9).

Similar to Adam, Eve, and Cain, we are all given choices. Our Maker wants the best for everyone, but just as it was with Job, He will allow for our adversary to offer us options and to intervene in our lives (Job 1:7-8). The New Testament is filled with examples and warnings about the signs of the end times and how those who do not know God will go from bad to worse (2 Tim. 3:1-3, 12-14).

Much to the chagrin of those who want to believe that the world is wonderful as they ignore the fact that the enemy has been given free reign over this earth, Scripture tells the reader that the devil is the prince and power of the very air that we breathe (Eph. 2:1-3). This is not our Father’s world! This earth is a dangerous and dark place. It is a temporary world in a state of decay, seen even at the cellular level (Rom. 8:21-23).^[3]

The book of Revelation warns of how people will reject God no matter what afflictions come upon them in the end (Rev. 11 – 16). Instead of repenting and seeking God for help by calling on his name, they will despise their Maker and give praise to satan who wants their demise for all of eternity (Gen. 4:7; 1 Pet. 5:8). The battle for good and evil must be recognized and dealt with in order to survive. There is no hiding from it. Jesus, the Son of God set the example that Christian’s are called to confront evil, not to pretend that it is not there or to make excuses for it.

The world is clearly not getting better; it is getting worse. The enemy is deceptive and knows your weaknesses. Knowing God, his character and his nature is your only defense against the forces of darkness. The God of Israel made it possible through his plan of redemption to gift those who love Him, with His Spirit. That is our weapon against the enemy. Christians need to use it! It is imperative that Christ followers understand the times and to speak up and to make a difference in their spheres of influence.

Know why you believe what you believe, seek the face of God and understand your enemy. Jesus warned about the deception of the last days (Matt. 24:9-11) and so did his disciples (2 Tim. 3:13; Jude).

This calls for self-reflection. How do you call out to God? How will you engage others when their world has fallen apart, and they begin to have a crisis of faith? How do you discuss God with those who choose to live in rebellion? A Christian’s job is to help point others to the LORD by being prepared to give a reason for the hope that is in them (1 Pet. 3:15).

Time is of the essence because we are not promised a tomorrow. As I was finishing this essay, I was reminded of this when I took a break and went to the grocery store. On my way home, I witnessed a horrific accident where two college-aged beautiful souls were hit at a traffic intersection, and their bodies went flying through the air and landed lifelessly on the asphalt as they skidded across the hot pavement. Just prior to being hit by a driver who ran a red light, they were laughing and smiling, returning from the beach in their golf cart vehicle.

Did they know Jesus? Did anyone love them enough to answer their questions about the spiritual realm? I sat there in my car in shock and called 911 as others ran to help the young couple as their bodies were unresponsive.

We are asked to have our feet in both worlds; the physical realm and the spiritual realm. My spirit began praying immediately, but the physical realm needed me to act and to call for others to come right away and administer medical treatment and traffic control. Jesus told us that in this world, we would have trouble (John 16:32-33). He also let us know that he has overcome this world, but the only ones who will escape the death grip of the devil for all of eternity are those who turn to Him (John 14:6). Learning how to talk to people who do not give a second thought about the things of God, is a matter of life and death.

How are you discipling others? How are you engaging God-haters in conversations that count? The world rejects Truth tellers. Will you speak up regardless of what people may say? Jesus tells the reader that if the world hates you, do not forget that it hated him first (John 15:18). Either you will participate in God’s kingdom, or you will help the enemy to continue to get away with murder. The choice is yours.

God is constantly intervening in human history and those who love and accept His Messiah are invited to participate in His Story.
