September is a little wild. There are twists, turns, surprises, breakthroughs, and yes, a little chaos - but there’s also potential for miracles, major shifts, and bringing your vision closer to reality. Even if you can’t see the whole picture just yet, you may find yourself taking an important step toward it.

The seasonal wisdom is simple and difficult: gather what nourishes, preserve what matters, release what cannot come with you, and don’t confuse urgency with truth. Fall does not ask the trees to justify their letting go. It asks them to trust in the timing of life.

September begins in the aftermath of August’s eclipses. What was exposed in August isn’t necessarily resolved in September. This is the month when our revelations become material for growth: a schedule has to change, a boundary has to become real, a truth has to be recognized, a blessing comes with a change of plans, a system has to prove that it can hold the future it keeps promising.

The month’s astrology moves through a remarkable sequence of change. Just like the harvest, we realize that not everything we tended to grew, that somethings weren’t meant to come with us, somethings rotted because we tried to grow them too quickly, and somethings are ripe for the picking. As we clear the landscape of our lives, September asks what is sustainable, what is true beneath appearances, and what kind of courage the coming season will require.

The Bigger Story…

The first part of the month belongs to mutable and earth-centered wisdom. Virgo notices what the circus of Leo season disguises: the deadline, the leak, the flaw, the missed ingredient, the ignored worker, the wrought nerves, the little things that our larger structures depend on. After an eclipse season concerned with leadership, visibility, grief, service, and surrender, Virgo asks the least glamorous and most useful question: What happens next?

By the final week of Virgo Season, the emphasis shifts. Libra season brings the equinox and the question of balance, but balance requires us to unburden ourselves. The Aries Full Moon exposes where accommodation has become abandonment of self. Mars then enters Leo, Mercury enters Scorpio, and both encounter Pluto in Aquarius. The month closes with a struggle between our voice, will, information, pride, and collective power.

September therefore has two goals. First, make the repair. Then, decipher what the repair was meant to protect and protect it!

Key Transits To Note:

September 4th: Last Quarter Moon at 11°49′ Gemini

The Last Quarter Moon (3:51AM EST)opens the month with a focus on organization. Gemini can hold several truths and ideas at once, but the waning square to the Sun asks us to decide which ideas are actually useful. Information gathered during eclipse season may be contradictory. Stories may change as new facts surface. We may feel the urge to keep researching because choosing a path or side feels more vulnerable than collecting another piece of data.

This is especially personal for placements from 9°–15° of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces. If you have planets or angles there, notice the conversations you’ve outgrown, the conclusions that no longer fit, or the overstimulation that your body has been mistaking as excitement.

Collectively, a Gemini quarter Moon can expose fractures in the media: competing reports, rapidly changing narratives, and inflated data.

September 10th: The Hinge Day!

September 10th carries four major transits in a single day: Venus enters Scorpio, Mercury enters Libra, Uranus stations retrograde at 5°42′ Gemini, and a New Moon forms at 18°26′ Virgo. W. Clement Stone said that “Big doors swing on little hinges”. And what a day this will be, mark your calendars!

Venus enters Scorpio.

Venus enters Scorpio at 4:07AM EST, drawing us beneath the surface and into more intimate territory. This is the prelude to the coming Venus retrograde; a period that will ask us to examine what meaningful exchange actually requires. Trust, sex, money, loyalty, grief, power, and the price of intimacy all come into focus.

Relationships may become more honest because the cost of remaining vague is becoming harder to bear. What’s been implied may need to be named or shamed. What has been withheld may need to be confronted. Financial conversations also move into Scorpionic territory: debt, shared resources, taxes, insurance, inheritances, and the question of who carries the risk, or the burden, and for whom.

Venus immediately opposes Chiron near 0° Taurus, touching tender places around safety, self-worth, the body, and mere survival. The desire for deeper union may encounter an old fear of dependence, betrayal, scarcity, or loss. This isn’t just about trust, it’s whether we can remain connected to ourselves while trust is being built, tested, or renegotiated.

Those with placements between 0° and 6° of Scorpio, Taurus, Leo, and Aquarius may feel the opening of this story most strongly. Venus will station retrograde at 8°30′ Scorpio on October 3rd, which means September’s relationship and financial developments are the beginning of a review; not its final verdict. Pay attention to what surfaces now. It is showing us where deeper truth, healing, and renegotiation will be required.

Mercury Enters Libra

Mercury enters Libra at 12:20PM EST, shifting our attention toward conversation, compromise, and the need to understand more than one side of a situation. We want context. We want to know what is fair and whether the agreements we’ve accepted are actually fair to everyone involved.

This can support negotiation, mediation, and overdue conversations. It can help us choose our words with greater care and listen without immediately preparing a defense. But Mercury in Libra can also reveal how exhausting it is to keep discussing something without making a decision. Sometimes “seeing both sides” becomes a way of avoiding the truth. Sometimes politeness keeps us trapped in situations that no longer feel peaceful at all.

On September 12th, Mercury trines Pluto in Aquarius and opposes Neptune in Aries. We may sense what’s happening beneath the surface, but that doesn’t mean every assumption will be accurate. The atmosphere is potent for investigative work/honest conversations, but also for projection, propaganda, wishful thinking, and facts presented without their full context. Ask another question. Check the source. Notice when a story feels persuasive because it confirms what you already want to believe.

Mercury trines Uranus in Gemini on September 13th, opening the door for a breakthrough, unexpected information, or an entirely different way of seeing the situation. A conversation could finally move forward. A missing piece of the puzzle may arrive. We may realize that the choice isn’t limited to the two options we have been debating.

Those with placements between 0° and 6° of Libra, Aries, Cancer, and Capricorn may feel Mercury’s entrance most strongly. The September 12th–13th aspects especially activate placements between 1° and 7° of Libra, Aries, Aquarius, Leo, Gemini, and Sagittarius.

Uranus retrograde at 5°42′ Gemini.

Uranus has only recently entered Gemini, so its retrograde station returns us to the earliest questions of this new era. How is technology changing language, attention, education, travel, journalism, and the speed at which a society decides what’s true? Which innovations liberate thought, and which merely accelerate fragmentation?

A Uranus station is electrically intense even when its motion appears to stop. Plans can change abruptly. Networks, transportation, communications, media, and digital systems may experience major glitches. However the deeper retrograde work is internal: noticing how our nervous system has been used to interruptions, glitches, and chaos. Burnout is not a part of a healthy life.

This is one of the month’s clearest signatures for the AI and information game. Current debates already contain both promise and destabilization: development potential, labor uncertainty, inequality, misinformation, and political repression. Uranus in Gemini doesn’t tell us that technology is good or bad. It asks whether human consciousness can stay free inside the systems it creates.

The station is most potent for 3°–8° of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, and Pisces, and constructive openings can appear for early-degree Libra, Aquarius, Aries, and Leo placements. If this is you, allow plans to change, but do not let adrenaline make every change feel like spark of destiny.

The New Moon in Virgo at 18°26.

The Virgo New Moon at 11:27PM EST is the first lunation after the August eclipses, so it feels like our revelations can become a catalyst for our plans. Eclipse season may have exposed what’s no longer sustainable; now Virgo asks what we are actually going to do about it.

Virgo wants a SMART plan: edit the vision, tend to the body, clean up the process, learn the skill, clean up your schedule, establish the boundary, and get to work! Your fresh start may look modest from the outside, but it has the potential to change your life from the inside out.

The sextile to Mars in Cancer gives this lunation emotional motivation. We act because something matters to us; because we want to protect our health, home, family, creative life, or sense of belonging. Mars in Cancer doesn’t necessarily charge forward with precision. It moves when it feels safe and when it has something worth defending. In conversation with Virgo, this becomes practical care: preparing food, changing a household rhythm, addressing an emotional need, creating a healthier environment, or turning concern into something useful.

There’s also an important distinction between urgency and readiness. Eclipse season can leave us feeling as though everything must be decided immediately. This New Moon says: begin with the next workable step. You do not need the entire future mapped out. You need a practice that supports the future you say you want.

The New Moon most directly affects 15°–22° of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, and Sagittarius. Taurus and Capricorn placements in that range may find more practical traction; Cancer and Scorpio can find more emotional support.

Collectively, this lunation draws attention to public health, labor conditions, food systems, infrastructure, disaster response, and the motives behind political promises. In a news cycle marked by war, disrupted energy routes, economic strain, and climate disaster, Virgo reminds us that consequences eventually arrive as material needs. Strategy means little if medicine, food, safe passage, reliable information, or competent care cannot reach the people who need them.

September 15th: Neptune sextile Pluto at 3°16′ Aries/Aquarius

Neptune and Pluto perfect a sextile at 10:09PM EST and this belongs more to an era than just a day. Both are retrograde, and Pluto is out of bounds, intensifying its capacity to operate beyond familiar limits. Neptune in Aries spiritualizes the instinct to begin, fight, save, or become. Pluto in Aquarius transforms networks, movements, technology, and the distribution of collective power. Their sextile suggests that imagination and structural change can cooperate; but a sextile is an opportunity, not a moral guarantee.

Every visionary, new tech, political movement, and spiritual ideal must answer the same question; who gains power through their vision, and who becomes expendable as a result?

This aspect can help people turn shared hopes into something real: a movement, a community, a new system, or a better way of organizing around what matters. But it can also make a powerful story feel more important than the truth. The desire to belong may become so strong that people stop asking questions, excuse troubling behavior, or allow a group to think for them.

With Pluto traveling beyond the Sun’s usual declination, institutions and those in power may behave in unusually extreme or uncompromising ways. Decisions may be made behind closed doors. Attempts to control a situation could become more intense, secretive, or difficult to contain.

Those with placements between 1° and 5° of Aries, Aquarius, Libra, and Leo may feel this most personally, while early Gemini and Sagittarius placements are also being drawn into this longer period of change. You may sense that an old dream still matters, but the way you’ve been trying to make it come to life no longer works. Inspiration can show you where to go, but it can’t carry you there. The dream needs a major overhaul.

That same day, Venus at 3° Scorpio squares Pluto and quincunxes Neptune, bringing these larger questions of power and vision into our private lives. They may surface through relationships, money, desire, friendship, collaboration, or the values we thought we shared with someone.

Attraction can feel consuming, and an opportunity may appear almost too meaningful to ignore. But intensity is not the same as intimacy, and chemistry isn’t proof of compatibility. Secrecy, projection, obsession, financial pressure, or an uneven balance of power may be harder to overlook. If something feels fated, slow down long enough to ask whether it’s honest, mutual, and capable of existing outside the fantasy.

September 16th–18th.

Juno stations direct at 25°40′ Capricorn at 9:09PM EST. Agreements, commitments, and long-term obligations that have been under review finally begin to move forward. Capricorn asks whether a bond has structure, maturity, and accountability, not merely good intentions. Placements from 23°–28° of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, and Libra may reach a decision about partnership, contracts, responsibility, or the conditions required for trust.

On September 17th at 9:52PM EST, Chiron retrogrades from Taurus back into the final degree of Aries. The brief entrance into Taurus introduced a new healing story around bodies, land, food, money, survival, and self-worth. Its return to Aries brings us back to unfinished work around anger, autonomy, courage, identity, and the right to exist without apology. At the anaretic degree, the lesson can feel urgent. Urgency, however, is not the same as readiness!

This ingress is most personal for 27°–29° of Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn, as well as 0°–2° of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, and Aquarius. The wound may be old, but your relationship to it isn’t.

The First Quarter Moon at 25°57′ Sagittarius on September 18th adds pressure to act on the intentions you set during the Virgo New Moon. Mercury also opposes Saturn that day, asking us to put our money where our mouth is, will you pass the test? A limit, delay, difficult answer, or serious conversation can feel discouraging, but it may provide us with some structure an what an idea requires of us. This window strongly affects 23°–28° of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo, and Pisces, while Mercury/Saturn brings focus to 10°–15° of Libra, Aries, Cancer, and Capricorn.

September 20th–22th:

Jupiter at 17°39′ Leo forms a quintile to Uranus at 5°39′ Gemini on September 20th. The quintile is creative and inventive. Jupiter in Leo magnifies courage, performance, leadership, and the desire to make an impact; Uranus in Gemini disrupts the medium and introduces a new vision. This can correlate with striking creative releases, technological ingenuity, surprising alliances, or a person finding the right lane for their vision to come to life.

It especially activates placements near 15°–20° Leo and 3°–8° Gemini, with echoes for the other fixed and mutable signs. Use the inspiration. Prototype it. Let it be a little weird before demanding that it be profitable or universally understood.

But September 22nd at 4:24PM EST brings Jupiter’s sesquiquadrate to Neptune at 18°05′ Leo and 3°05′ Aries. Confidence can outrun evidence. Leaders may sell grandeur when the underlying structures are strained. This is relevant in a moment when war aims, economic promises, AI ambitions, and political messaging are all competing to define the future. The danger isn’t hope, it’s hope made immune to the facts.

For placements around 16°–20° Leo and 1°–5° Aries, ask what the dream costs, who is being asked to believe it, and what evidence would cause you to revise it.

September 22nd: Libra season, The Equinox, and Mabon.

The Sun enters Libra on September 22nd at 8:05PM EST, marking the autumn equinox in the Northern Hemisphere; a moment of near-equal light and darkness and the seasonal gateway often celebrated as Mabon. The fields begin to empty. The trees prepare to release their leaves. The air changes and our bodies seem to understand that the time of transition has begun.

Mabon is a harvest festival, but the harvest is about more than abundance. It’s also an honest accounting of what this year has brought into our lives. What grew from the seeds we planted earlier in the year? What failed to take root? What is ready to be gathered and enjoyed? What needs to be preserved for winter, shared with the community, composted, or returned to the earth?

From here, the nights grow longer and the daylight gradually recedes. We are asked to release our hold on the light and enter the darker half of the year with trust and reverence. Darkness isn’t an absence or a punishment. It is where the earth rests, where seeds wait, and where life quietly prepares for its next form.

The Sun’s entrance into Libra most immediately awakens placements between 0° and 3° of Libra, Aries, Cancer, and Capricorn. For all of us, it begins a month-long exploration of balance and reciprocity; not whether every exchange is perfectly equal, but whether it feels mutual, honest, and alive. Who meets us where we are? Where are we carrying more than our share? And which relationships allow both people to remain whole.

September 25th–26th: The Veil Thins + Full Moon in Aries.

Before the Full Moon, the Libra Sun opposes Neptune in Aries and trines Pluto in Aquarius. The veil thins. We might feel uncertain, exhausted, enchanted, and it’s just hard to find our footing. If you can surrender to the magick of the moment you will be gifted with clarity and insight. This is something that’s been causing some confusion since April 17th, 2026.

The Full Moon at 3°37′ Aries arrives on September 26th at 12:49PM EST, directly activating the Neptune–Pluto conversation. The Moon conjoins with Neptune by sign and degree, opposing the Libra Sun, and forms a sextile to Pluto. Emotion, identity, vision, and collective power are all braided together.

Aries Full Moons reveal the cost of suppressing our instinct. Anger may arise where grief or exhaustion hasn’t been allowed to speak. You may demand more room inside a relationship, institution, or role built around constant accommodation. Pluto offers us a deeper possibility: act from the truth and not from emotion.

This lunation is strongest for 1°–7° of Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn.

Collectively, this Full Moon can coincide with heightened military rhetoric, public anger, protest, leadership crises, or unilateral action. The current geopolitical climate is already volatile, particularly around the U.S.–Iran conflict and threats, this transit can reactivate the same aspects that set off the Strait of Hormuz.

September 27th–30th: Mars Enters Leo and a Fixed T-Square Begins to Form.

Mars enters Leo on September 27th at 10:49PM EST after squaring Chiron at the final degrees of Cancer and Aries. The shift is noticeable. Mars in Cancer acts to protect what feels vulnerable; home, family, emotional safety, and the people we love. In Leo, that energy becomes more visible. We want to create, lead, take a stand, and act from the heart. We may feel more confident about going after what we want, but also more sensitive to being ignored, embarrassed, or challenged. Mars in Leo wants to win, and it would prefer an audience when it does.

On September 30th, Mercury enters Scorpio ay 7:44AM EST. From 1° Scorpio, it begins squaring Mars at 1° Leo and Pluto retrograde and out of bounds at 3° Aquarius, forming a fixed T-square. This pattern is already taking shape, but these intense confrontations become exact just after we head into October. Mercury squares Mars and Pluto on October 2nd, followed by Mars opposing Pluto on October 3rd.

September doesn’t end with a neat resolution. It ends with everyone taking their positions. Mercury in Scorpio wants to know what’s really going on. It reads between the lines, notices what’s missing, and asks the question everyone else has been avoiding. Mars in Leo responds from pride, loyalty, creative conviction, or the need to remain in control of the story. Pluto in Aquarius brings in the larger forces surrounding us: institutions, political movements, social networks, technology, and the systems that shape what we see and believe.

Personally, this can feel like a conversation that becomes much more intense than expected. Someone may finally say what they’ve been holding back. A secret could surface. A disagreement might stop being about the original issue and reveal a deeper struggle over respect, loyalty, control, or who gets the final word. There can be real courage and clarity here, but also defensiveness, ultimatums, retaliation, and the temptation to use information as a weapon.

Collectively, this combination can coincide with revealing disclosures and necessary confrontations. It can also amplify propaganda, threats, cyber conflict, coercive messaging, and public battles in which backing down is treated as weakness. With all three planets in fixed signs, people may become attached to being right even when the argument is no longer productive or even worth it. The missing point of the T-square lies in Taurus, and that offers a way through. Slow down. Return to the body. Check the facts. Protect your time, money, energy, and essential resources. Ask what the conflict is costing and whether anything being defended can actually endure. Taurus reminds us that the loudest person is not necessarily the strongest. Real power is having enough stability to remain grounded when everyone else is being pulled into the drama.

This T Square is most intense for placements between 0° and 5° of Leo, Aquarius, Scorpio, and Taurus. If you have personal planets or angles there, late September through October 3rd may bring a consequential conversation, a decisive realization, a surge of creative determination, or a confrontation with control. Don’t silence what needs to be said, but choose your timing and delivery very carefully.

Collectively, the T-square presses on several tensions already shaping our world:

• War and state power: retaliation, secrecy, military command, and the public performance of strength.

• Energy and economic pressure: oil routes, strategic reserves, tariffs, debt, and the costs ultimately passed down to ordinary people.

• Elections and information: conflicts over voting access, media authority, political messaging, and who controls the channels through which reality is presented.

• AI and networked power: rapidly developing technology concentrated within powerful institutions, fears surrounding displaced labor, and the potential for these systems to deepen inequality or repression.

Astrology helps us see where the temperature may be rising and reminds us that not every provocation deserves an immediate reaction. When the pressure builds, the work is to remain honest without becoming reckless, powerful without becoming controlling, and courageous without turning every disagreement into a battle that must be won.

The Tarot Message for September

This month, I worked with Tarot of the Woodland Wardens by Jessica Roux. I love this deck because Jessica does such a beautiful job of honoring traditional Tarot meanings while weaving in the wisdom of animals, plants, and the natural world. There is something powerful about looking to nature for guidance. Animals adapt, migrate, protect themselves, follow instinct, endure difficult seasons, and respond to the world around them without overcomplicating what survival and growth require.

September’s message carries that same energy. It asks us to trust what is calling us forward, remain open to learning, and recognize that some of the tools we need may already be within reach.

The first card is the Knight of Cups, depicted here as a reindeer. The imagery immediately brings to mind the reindeer that carry Santa’s sleigh, making this knight feel like a bearer of gifts, messages, and possibilities. He also wears the wings of Hermes, the messenger and psychopomp who moves between worlds. That symbolism adds another layer to the card: this isn’t simply about dreaming, but about carrying something from the unseen into the seen. The Knight of Cups often arrives when an idea, desire, creative vision, or manifestation wants to become more tangible. He asks us to consider what we are trying to bring into reality and what support may be available to help us do it. Not every dream is meant to be built alone. Sometimes the next step comes through a collaborator, mentor, invitation, conversation, or unexpected ally. September may be asking us to recognize our own gifts while also noticing who or what is arriving to help carry the vision forward.

From there, we move into the Hierophant, the spiritual teacher of the deck. In this version, the figure is both sheep and shepherd, which beautifully reflects the dual role of student and teacher. Sheep and lambs have long held spiritual significance across Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, which makes the imagery especially fitting for a card associated with faith, tradition, teaching, and spiritual authority. The Hierophant asks us to look at our situation from more than one perspective. Where are we the teacher, and where are we still the student? We may already have the vision, the plan, the people, the systems, and even an understanding of the obstacles in front of us, but this card asks whether there is still something left to learn before we can fully move forward.

That may be the deeper lesson of September. Expertise doesn’t mean we have nothing left to discover. Sometimes the most important growth comes from remaining teachable. A mentor, spiritual practice, tradition, book, course, conversation, or lived experience may contain the piece we have been missing. The Hierophant can also appear during periods of uncertainty, when the next step is not fully visible. In those moments, faith becomes less about having all the answers and more about remaining connected to what we know to be meaningful. We don’t have to abandon what we have built simply because the path becomes unclear. Sometimes uncertainty isn’t a sign that we’re lost; it’s a sign that we are still learning.

The final card, the Eight of Arrows reversed, shifts the month toward release. The armadillo stands in shallow water, blindfolded, bound, and surrounded by a cage of arrows. She appears trapped, vulnerable, and unable to free herself. Yet the symbolism tells us something else. An armadillo already possesses armor, claws, instinct, and endurance. The very creature that appears powerless is actually equipped with tools for survival. Reversed, this card suggests that the experience of being trapped is beginning to loosen. The blindfold starts to come off. The cage begins to look less permanent. What once felt impossible may begin to reveal an opening.

This doesn’t mean that every difficult situation can be escaped through positive thinking or willpower alone. Some circumstances genuinely limit us, and some wounds require time, support, and care. But the Eight of Arrows reversed asks us to notice where an old experience of powerlessness may still be shaping the way we see the present. Fear can convince us that we are still in the same situation long after something has changed. Pain can teach us to expect restriction even when new options have become available. September may be asking us to remember who we are now, rather than continuing to see ourselves only through the version of us who once felt stuck.

Taken together, these three cards tell a very clear story. The Knight of Cups brings the dream. The Hierophant brings the lesson. The reversed Eight of Arrows brings the release. First, something calls to us. Then we are asked to deepen our understanding, seek guidance, or refine what we know. Finally, we begin to recognize what has been keeping us from moving forward. This is less about forcing a manifestation into existence and more about becoming ready to receive what we’ve been asking for.

Sometimes the dream isn’t delayed because it’s impossible. Sometimes there is simply one more thing to learn, one more person to meet, one more belief to outgrow, or one more knot to untie before the path becomes clear. September feels like a month of remembering that vision alone is not enough. We also need wisdom, humility, and the courage to recognize when we are no longer as trapped as we once believed.

We don’t have everything figured out this month and that’s okay. We just need to pay attention to what the season has already revealed. Some things are ready to be gathered. Some need more time. Some have reached the end of their usefulness, and some were never meant to survive beyond the version of us that planted them.

The harvest teaches us that growth is not measured only by what we keep. There’s wisdom in recognizing what ripened, what failed, what fed us, what depleted the soil, and what must be returned to the earth so that something healthier can eventually take its place. September asks for that same honesty. We can appreciate what something gave us without insisting that it remain. We can grieve a plan and still believe in the future. We can change our minds without betraying the person who once wanted something different.

And that might be the deeper cosmic message. Virgo reminds us that revelations mean very little without practice. Libra asks whether the lives and relationships we are creating can hold more than one truth at a time. And the fixed T-square forming at the end of the month reminds us that power is not simply the ability to push through. Sometimes power is the ability to remain grounded enough to choose what deserves your energy at all.

So as September unfolds, gather carefully. Keep what nourishes you. Preserve what has proven its value. Share what you have in abundance. Compost what cannot follow you into the next season. And when something falls away, resist the instinct to immediately fill the empty space. The trees do not panic when the leaves begin to fall. They know that release is part of the preparation.

It’s been two weeks after the Leo Solar Eclipse rocked our world and turned our attention toward visibility, identity, and public life, the August 27th/28th Lunar Eclipse at 4°54′ Pisces brings us back to what’s happening underneath it all.

This is the final eclipse in Pisces in the current Virgo–Pisces series, but it’s not the final eclipse across this axis. We have a Lunar Eclipse in Virgo in February 2027. The story doesn’t end here because Pisces and Virgo were never meant to be understood separately. We cannot have one without the other.

We need divine faith, but we also need to ground ourselves in logic. Empathy has to become service. Surrender requires boundaries. Intuition needs discernment. Rest has to be supported by the way we organize our lives. The sacred may exceed explanation, but that doesn’t mean every feeling is a sign or every promise should be believed.

This eclipse reveals where we have leaned too far in one direction. Where did compassion turn into self-abandonment. Where did service become martyrdom. Where did discernment become anxiety or perfectionism. Where did faith become avoidance.

When did our desire to make sense of everything leave no room for mystery or miracles?

The Virgo–Pisces axis isn’t asking us to choose between faith and reason. It wants us to let them correct and strengthen each other. This is why there are sister signs, we can’t have one without the other.

What Have You Learned Since September 2024?

The first eclipse in this series arrived on September 17th, 2024, under a Pisces sky shaped by both Saturn and Neptune. Neptune held the dream, the longing, the ideal, and the possibility of something larger than ourselves. Saturn asked what could be sustained, what required responsibility, and where reality could no longer be ignored.

Since then, many of us have had to confront the distance between what we hoped was true and what was actually happening.

Where did you lose yourself? And what have you reclaimed since then?

With all the dreamy Piscean energy in the air, we thought everything was a sign from the divine. That doesn’t mean your faith was foolish. It means faith without discernment can leave us vulnerable to projection, fantasy, and promises that were never grounded enough to hold or support us. You can trust the divine and still check the details. You can believe in someone and still pay attention to their behavior. You can surrender and detach from the outcome without surrendering your agency.

This eclipse gives us an opportunity to recognize what the last two years have taught us. We may not have the life we imagined in September 2024, but we have more information now. We know which dreams can be built, which ones need to change, and which ones were asking us to disappear in order to preserve them.

The Body Knows What the Dream Cost.

Lunar Eclipses make it harder to keep pushing past what we already know. A relationship dynamic becomes harder to excuse. A routine stops working. The body asks for a much-needed break. Anything that we’ve been minimizing begins impossible to ignore.

Pisces makes the emotional field more porous. We notice the tone beneath a conversation, the pain in someone’s eyes, the mood in the room, and the dreams, memories, and fears moving through our own bodies. When we are already stretched thin, it can become difficult to tell what belongs to us and what we have absorbed from everyone else.

Virgo brings us back to what can be verified and handled. Check the email, make the dreaded appointment, look at data and numbers, change the routine, and pay attention to what your body has been telling you. Virgo doesn’t dismiss Pisces’ intuition; it asks what the facts support.

The Moon opposing Mercury in Virgo can bring a conversation or overlooked detail that confirms something we have sensed for a while. We may finally get all the information, even if we are still processing how we feel about it.

The Semisquare to Venus in Libra shows where keeping everyone happy has become exhausting. A relationship may look peaceful because one person has been avoiding conflict, doing more than their share, or saying “it’s fine” when it isn’t. This eclipse makes that imbalance harder to ignore.

What Has Uranus Liberated You From?

The eclipse’s square to Uranus in Gemini can bring sudden news, reversals, disclosures, technological problems, a change in plans, and conversations that take an unexpected turn. But Uranus is not merely a disruptor. Disruption is often the mechanism; liberation is the deeper purpose.

So rather than asking only what Uranus might destabilize, think about where Uranus already liberated you from. What can you do, say, or understand now that you could not before? Which identity, belief, obligation, or version of the future no longer has the same hold over you? And what are you still holding on to because uncertainty feels more frightening than an outdated form of security? Uranus reveals where life has already moved on and where we haven’t.

Faith With Discernment.

This eclipse is emotionally dense and mentally overstimulating. Mercury reveals the details. Uranus changes the information. Venus shows us where peace has required us to silence our needs. Sedna exposes the older survival story, while Ceres brings care, safety, and the body back to the center.

Stop trying to find the perfect explanation for everything you feel. Create enough space to process what’s happening before you respond, commit, or hit send.

This is the last eclipse in Pisces, and with it comes a final Pisces release: the fantasy, role, promise, sacrifice, or spiritual explanation we can no longer afford to lose ourselves inside. Pisces understands that everything eventually returns to Source. Virgo knows that life stays healthy through elimination; by sorting, pruning, clearing, and removing what’s completed its purpose. Together, they remind us that endings are not failures of life. They are part of how life continues.

Yet we are deeply afraid of endings. We treat death, loss, and decay as evidence that something has gone wrong. We hold onto objects we never use, relationships that ended years ago, identities we’ve outgrown, and digital archives of lives we no longer live. We accumulate clothes, screenshots, unread messages, unfinished plans, old grievances, and backup versions of ourselves. Hoarding is not always about possessions. Sometimes we hoard possibilities because choosing one life requires grieving the others.

This fixation on keeping everything leaves little room for anything new to take root. A body that cannot eliminate what it no longer needs becomes ill. A home with no empty space becomes difficult to live in. A life crowded with expired obligations cannot hear its next calling.

The Virgo–Pisces axis teaches that cutting away is not cold or wasteful. It can be an act of care. Releasing something doesn’t erase its value, nor does it mean we failed to save it. Some things serve their purpose by ending. But release can’t remain a dramatic, one-time purge. It has to become a ritual: a regular willingness to notice what has expired, grieve it honestly, thank it for what it gave us, and let it go before it begins taking life from what is still alive. This eclipse asks us to stop measuring love by how long we can hold on. Sometimes love looks like preservation. Sometimes it looks like allowing the ending. Whatever we surrender here will need to be supported by new boundaries, habits, standards, and choices. Faith and discernment belong together. Intuition may open the door, but discernment determines whether we should walk through it.

As the eclipse ushers in the winds of change, use this mantra:

“I now let go of worn-out conditions and worn-out things. I give thanks to the Four Winds of Success. From the North, South, East, and West come my endless good.”

A Message for All Signs.

Everyone has Pisces and Virgo somewhere in their chart, so this eclipse touches all of us. The Pisces side shows where something is dissolving, while the opposite Virgo house shows what needs greater discernment, structure, or practical care.

Read for your rising sign first and your Sun sign second. Those with placements between approximately 0° and 10° of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini, or Sagittarius may experience the eclipse more intensely.

Aries

You may be reaching the end of a private emotional cycle involving grief, exhaustion, isolation, or a coping mechanism that once helped you survive. Pay attention to your sleep, health, and daily workload. Rest is necessary, but it cannot compensate for a routine that repeatedly depletes you.

Taurus

A friendship, community, audience, or long-term dream may no longer feel like the right fit. You are allowed to outgrow the people who knew an earlier version of you without denying what they once meant. Make space for the relationships, creative work, and pleasures that feel alive now, not the future you once thought you had to want.

Gemini

Your career, reputation, or public identity is undergoing a release. A professional goal may lose its meaning, or you may realize that the version of success you’ve been trying to maintain comes at too high of a cost. With Uranus in Gemini squaring this eclipse, the change may arrive quickly. Before reacting to every new development, ask whether the disruption is actually freeing you from a role you had already outgrown.

Cancer

A belief, plan, educational path, legal matter, or vision of the future may need to change. Something you once accepted on faith may now require evidence. This doesn’t mean abandoning your spiritual or moral compass; it means allowing new information and inviting in new experiences to deepen it.

Leo

This eclipse brings shared finances, debt, intimacy, grief, trust, and emotional entanglements into focus. You may need to release an obligation, unequal exchange, or attachment that has kept you bound to someone else’s choices. Look honestly at what you own, what you owe, and what you’ve been carrying that was never entirely yours.

Virgo

A relationship, agreement, or pattern of relating may reach a turning point. You may see where compassion became over-accommodation or where loving someone required you to abandon your own limits. You can’t fix every relationship through more effort. The eclipse asks whether the connection can hold both empathy and accountability.

Libra

Your body, workload, habits, and daily responsibilities need your attention. A routine may no longer be sustainable, even if you’ve become very good at managing it. Stop treating exhaustion as a scheduling problem when the deeper issue may be how much you have agreed to take on. Caregiving must include care for yourself.

Scorpio

A creative project, romance, desire, or relationship with joy may be changing form. You may be releasing a fantasy about how love, recognition, parenthood, or creative fulfillment was supposed to look. Let pleasure become something you experience in the present rather than something postponed until every responsibility has been handled.

Sagittarius

A family pattern, living situation, memory, or idea of home may be reaching its natural end. Because this eclipse squares Sagittarius, the tension between private needs and public responsibilities may become impossible to ignore. You may need to revise a career plan or future vision so it supports your actual life rather than requiring you to escape it.

Capricorn

A conversation, message, contract, sibling matter, or even piece of local news may change how you view a situation. You may also recognize where a long held pattern or story you’ve repeated no longer holds weight or truth. Check the facts, ask the follow-up question, and be willing to update your position when the details change.

Aquarius

Money, possessions, self-worth, and security come into focus. You may be holding onto work, belongings, or financial arrangements because they once represented safety. Take inventory of what still supports your life and what you are maintaining out of fear. Security is not the same as accumulation.

Pisces

This is a personal culmination involving your identity, body, boundaries, and the life you imagined for yourself. You may be releasing a role built around rescuing, sacrificing, waiting, or becoming what others needed. Never allow others to change who you are and your level of compassion and care. This is about discovering who you are when compassion no longer requires your disappearance.

Whatever is released this week will need to be followed by practical change. We’ve become accustomed to keeping everything: possessions, screenshots, obligations, relationships, identities, and unrealized versions of the future. We often hold on because an ending feels like failure or because releasing something forces us to acknowledge that time has passed. But not everything is meant to be preserved indefinitely. Some things complete their purpose.

Pisces teaches us to surrender what’s already begun dissolving. Virgo helps us decide what to do next. Together, they remind us that release must become a part of life. It’s a ritual of recognizing what’s ended, grieving it, clearing the space it occupied, and caring for what remains.

Not every disruption is a loss. Not every ending is a punishment. Some changes remove what we could not bring ourselves to leave, revealing that life has already moved on; and that we are finally ready to move with it.

You can trust what’s unfolding without ignoring what the facts have shown you. You can have faith without surrendering your discernment. You can honor what something meant without carrying it forever. As the winds begin to change, let this eclipse be permission to loosen your grip.

Mercury’s transit through Virgo helps us see what needs fixing and what information we may have missed. But the eclipse reminds us that getting every detail right means nothing if we still miss what is really going on.

As someone with Mercury in Virgo in my natal chart, I love to research, learn, troubleshoot, and gather as much information as possible before making a decision. It’s both a blessing and a curse. At what point does more information stop being helpful and start creating more confusion? That’s where we seem to be collectively right now.

Is This Thing On?

On August 28th, Uranus in Gemini squares Mercury. I know this might sound insane, but I welcome this square. Uranus disrupts our usual patterns of thinking, which can lead to brilliant insight. It can expose the flaw in a system everyone else has accepted as normal. But it can also create fragmentation; racing thoughts, reactive communication, abrupt decisions, and the mistake of confusing immediacy with accuracy.

Because this happens on the same day as the eclipse, it could feel overwhelming. Still, we need something to break through a news cycle pumping out endless discourse and bring us back to the meat and potatoes of what is actually happening. Once we cut through the noise, we can begin making better decisions; both personally and collectively.

Remember, Mercury in Virgo wants information we can actually use. This is a beautiful transit for editing, organizing, researching, learning, troubleshooting, and making a real plan for your wild and weird ideas.

Virgo’s precision is often mistaken for a desire to make life look and feel sterile. But its deeper purpose is always care. Virgo notices what needs attention because it wants the entire system to function more honestly and smoothly.

The shadow side is becoming so focused on correcting ourselves, one another, or the situation that we forget to ask whether all that criticism is actually helping. When did outrage become proof that we are right? Virgo helps us take that outrage and turn it into a plan - not another emotional reaction video that feeds the algorithm, serves the ego, and changes nothing. It helps us take our anger, frustration, and all the information we have gathered and use them to create real change.

It also reminds us that not everything needs to be fixed immediately. Some things need to be understood. Some need to be grieved. Sometimes we need to rest, and sometimes we need to let sleeping dogs lie. This Mercury-in-Virgo transit helps us recognize the difference.

Shot through the heart, and you’re to blame…

I know, Bon Jovi. Funny enough, the song was released while Mercury was in Leo and Venus was in Virgo. A little too literal, if you ask me.

But where am I going with this? Before Mercury entered Virgo on August 25th, it crossed Regulus at the end of Leo and opposed the North Node in Aquarius and aligned with the South Node in Leo.

Regulus is the heart of the Lion, traditionally associated with visibility, leadership, courage, status, and the consequences of how power is used or abused. Mercury’s alignment with this royal star suggests that what we said, shared, or expressed during this time may have carried more weight than usual.

Think about what happened around August 24th and 25th. What conversations came up? What was said, or left unsaid? Something may have been revealed about pride, authority, reputation, or the stories we tell ourselves about how other people see us.

With Mercury opposing the North Node, we may have reached our limit with managing someone else’s perception of us, seeking approval, staying visible, or fighting to be heard. The North Node in Aquarius is pulling the collective toward community, accountability, and systems that can function beyond the power or personality of one individual.

There’s an important shift happening here. We are moving away from the performance of certainty and toward an honest examination of the facts. Mercury’s transit through Virgo will ask us to explore the difference between what we feel and what we know, without pretending that one automatically cancels out the other.

Pay attention to the conversations you had in the days leading up to this ingress. They may have introduced the themes that follow you throughout Mercury’s time in Virgo.

Key Transits to Note:

August 25th: Mercury trine Chiron

Only hours after entering Virgo, Mercury trines Chiron at 0° Taurus. This can make difficult conversations a bit easier. Mercury in Virgo finds the right language; Chiron in Taurus brings us back to the body, safety, worth, resources, and the places where stability has been disrupted. Healing may begin through a practical acknowledgments. This hurt. This is the physical proof of it. This arrangement was not longer working due to XYZ. This is the actual support I need.

The power of this trine is relatability. Someone may finally describe an experience in a way that helps others recognize themselves. Mercury in Virgo reminds us that being clear about what we need is a form of care.

August 27th: The Superior Conjunction/Mercury Cazimi

On August 27th, the Sun and Mercury meet at 4° Virgo in a Superior Conjunction, only hours before the Pisces lunar eclipse at 4°54′. This is such a key moment for all of us and I have scopes on what the Mercury Cazimi message might be for all signs. So stay tuned.

We may finally recognize the meaning of information that previously felt scattered or cryptic. This realization occurs on the Virgo/Pisces eclipse axis. Mercury and the Sun in Virgo are effectively facing the eclipsed Moon in Pisces, creating tension between what can be documented and what can only be felt. Virgo wants the facts. Pisces carries the dream, the grief, the fatigue, the memory, and the emotional baggage surrounding those facts.

The Eclipse and Cazimi may expose the root of the issue itself. We can finally understand the pattern but we still need time to feel what it cost us. Mercury and the Sun are here to provide us with a breakthrough. Clarity is valuable, but it’s not the same thing as closure.

Later that day, Mercury at 4°47′ Virgo forms a semisquare to Venus at 19°47′ Libra. Truth and harmony might be as compatible as we thought. We might discover that keeping the peace depended on someone remaining agreeable, withholding criticism, or doing whatever was required to make everything appear balanced and beautiful.

Can we tell the truth without leaning into cruelty? And can our relationships survive once we take off the rose-colored glasses and see them for what they really are?

The truth might be a little ugly, but at least it is real.

August 28th: Mercury square Uranus

Hours after the Pisces lunar eclipse, Mercury at 5°37′ Virgo squares Uranus at 5°37′ Gemini. If something has been ignored, buried, or rationalized away, this square may provide the jolt that finally gets our attention.

Because both planets are moving through Mercury-ruled signs, this moment could feel mentally loaded and information-heavy. News may break quickly. Conversations can take an unexpected turn. Technology, transportation, schedules, and communication systems may experience disruptions.

My concern is the power grid, which I discussed on the Predictions for 2026 episode of The Cosmic Crux Podcast (currently taking a little break). I’m not sharing this to incite fear, but it’s always wise to have an emergency kit and a basic plan in place.

This transit could push our nervous systems into overload, but the disruption may be exactly what we need.

A missing piece of information may suddenly surface. A new fact could crack open an established narrative. Uranus interrupts our habitual thinking and exposes flaws in systems we have accepted as normal. This is the moment when something clicks and we can no longer pretend we don’t see what’s happening.

A wake-up call can feel chaotic before it feels liberating. This eclipse is showing us where our systems are failing and who or what needs immediate support. We cannot quite fix every problem in a single day, but we can begin making a long-term plan now. This could be a sobering moment for us collectively. Uranus isn’t here to send us into panic mode. He’s here because we may finally be sober enough to see what’s really going on.

September 1st: Mercury sextile Mars

By September 1st, Mercury reaches 13° Virgo and sextiles Mars in Cancer. Finally all this information has somewhere constructive to go. We can organize a response, protect what matters, advocate for what we need, or turn concern into practical action.

Mars and Mercury here can be resourceful and tactical: making the appointment, correcting the error, creating the schedule, preparing the food, having the necessary conversation, or repairing what has become unsustainable.

Mercury also quincunxes Saturn in Aries while Mars squares Saturn. Our best laid plans might encounter some hurdles or boundaries. We might know what needs to happen while discovering that we can’t just force it through.

At the same time, Jupiter in Leo trines Saturn in Aries. This is an opportunity to slow down and build something substantial, something with intention, because Saturn wants this to last.

September 10th: The Final Degrees.

Mercury reaches the final degree of Virgo on September 10th and forms a quincunx to the North Node at the end of Aquarius before entering Libra.

The transit begins with Mercury opposing the North Node from the final degree of Leo and ends with another uncomfortable Nodal aspect with the alignment of the final degree of Virgo. The entire passage becomes a transitional conversation about how our thinking must change in order for us to meet our future.

At 29° Virgo, the desire to fix everything can become urgent. We may believe we need one more answer, one more revision, or one more piece of evidence before we are allowed to move forward.

But the North Node in Aquarius is asking for more than technical perfection. How can we ensure our choices contribute to a healthier collective reality. Something can be efficient and still be dehumanizing. Something can be factually correct and still lack wisdom. Something can function exactly as it was designed and still need to be dismantled.

Mercury enters Libra afterward, moving the conversation from analysis toward relationship, fairness, and negotiation. We’ve identified what’s not working. The next step is how can we come together to effect change?

Mercury in Virgo is often reduced to lists, obsessive cleaning, perfect organization, and better routines. Sure, those things can help, but they are not the heart of this transit. The heart of this transit is attention.

Attention to what the body has been trying to communicate.

Attention to the one detail that changes the meaning of the entire story.

Attention to labor, who is being acknowledged for their work and who is being left in the shadows.

This transits wants us to consider where we’ve allowed our attention to be exploited. How do we regain control of our minds and use our focus to create real change? What have we continued doing simply because we are afraid to stop, step away, or log off?

Virgo teaches us that care lives in the details. But during this eclipse passage, those details must remain connected to the heart of the matter. The goal is not to make our lives appear more perfect, in fact that’s part of the lesson of this nodal axis. The real goal is to become more honest about what our lives actually require. This is the season to get real about what you need, not what looks good from a distance.

As Cher Horowitz said in Clueless, It’s a “full-on Monet. It’s like a painting, see? From far away, it’s OK, but up close, it’s a big old mess.”

On August 27th, Mercury meets the Sun at 4°27′ Virgo, creating a moment of illumination just hours before the Pisces Lunar Eclipse. Something that has been difficult to understand may suddenly become very clear, but the answer may arrive through an interruption, uncomfortable conversation, or piece of information we were not expecting.

Mercury is applying to a semisquare with Venus in Libra and a square with Uranus in Gemini. It also sextiles Ceres in Cancer, runs parallel to the South Node, and contra-parallel to the North Node.

Venus shows us where maintaining harmony has prevented us from telling the whole truth. Uranus delivers the wake-up call, exposing a flaw in the story or disrupting the way we’ve always understood it. Ceres reminds us that the purpose of this clarity is not criticism; it’s care. Meanwhile, Mercury’s aspects to the nodes suggest that the information surfacing now is connected to a much older old pattern. The Sun enters Virgo on August 22nd at 7:19 p.m. PT and the details start to matter again. Virgo season arrives with an exact time, a big red pen, and several reasonable questions about what the hell happened during Leo season.

This year, Virgo walks into a room that is already mid-renovation. The Sun changes signs only ten days after the total solar eclipse in Leo and less than a week before a lunar eclipse in Pisces. Something has already been revealed, disrupted, released, or set in motion. Virgo, the keeper of the sacred flame and receipts, now has to figure out what the revelation actually requires of us.

Sure, the vision may be beautiful, but is it rooted in reality or delusion? The role you want may be deeply meaningful, but can your body and mind sustain what it will actually require? From a bird’s-eye view, our systems may look functional. Everyone needs a Virgo in their life. They really know how to get shit done and that’s why this Virgo Season is so needed. We need a plan that can survive our current reality. Let’s face it, things are a bit of a collective mess right now. The Sun enters Virgo after its conjunction to the South Node and Regulus; asking us to release identities, false leaders, and even performative actions that have become too costly to maintain. Throw in the Sesquisquare Saturn Rx in Aries and we are feeling like we might have been going down the wrong path. This is all temporary, but Saturn Retrograde in Aries is trying to get you to take a look at what needs to get revised and analyzed.

The Sun’s trine to Chiron brings us some much needed healing and grounds us. Then the Sun–Mercury Cazimi, Pisces lunar eclipse, and disruptive Uranus squares flood us with revelations, missing information, nervous-system overload, and give us the facts we need. We might be refusing to accept that part of our story has some holes in it. Jupiter trine Saturn helps us build something sustainable, while Mars square Saturn immediately tests whether this new plan can actually carry the weight. The Virgo New Moon offers a reset, the Sun–Mars sextile gets us moving, and Venus square Pluto with Mercury opposite Saturn forces honest conversations about labor, money, power, boundaries, and who or what has been holding everything together.

This season is here to help us sort through the chaos, repair what is workable, release what is not, and turn the dream into something our bodies, relationships, and communities can actually live with. Virgo makes it make sense.

Let’s face it, Virgos gets shit done.

They turn the dream into reality.

They bring the facts.

They calm the chaos.

They show love by showing up.

It’s the season to make it make sense.

I have my natal Venus in Cancer, so I understood the tenderness. I understood the instinct to nurture, protect, to remember, and create emotional safety. But the femininity I inherited wasn’t necessarily “soft”. I wasn’t someone you would describe as passive and I definitely wasn’t waiting to be chosen. I was far from it. I was outspoken. I had muscle. I used my force. I craved authority. Then I was gifted Asteroid Goddesses by Demetra George and Douglas Bloch, and everything began to make sense.

The Goddesses in My Life.

I was raised by strong women; women who taught me to honor our ancestors, our culture, the land we came from, the music, the food, and the sacredness of creation. They embodied femininity with enormous power and presence. I remember asking my grandmother, “Don’t you worry about me?” She said, “No. You’re going to be fine. You’re strong, and you’re the least of my concerns.” My mother echoed the same sentiment.

I was taught to care, to hustle, to provide, to be strong, and never to shy away from speaking the truth. Love wasn’t presented to me as helplessness. Care was not separate from power. The feminine wasn’t something fragile that needed to be protected from the world. It was the force that protected us.

When I later studied the charts of the women who raised me, their particular expressions of the feminine became unmistakable. My mother is Venus-heavy, with Lilith and Ceres conjunct her Venus, and Juno and Pallas conjunct her Sun. My grandmother had Vesta within one degree of her natal Mercury. My aunt, my mother’s sister, has Juno exactly conjunct her Sun, Pallas exactly conjunct her Jupiter, and Vesta conjunct her North Node.

These three women showed me another version of the feminine long before I had the astrological language to name it. At the time, I didn’t understand that what I was witnessing was unusual. I didn’t know that this was not the way every family understood feminine power.

To say I was raised in a matriarchy is an understatement. The women ruled, and I didn’t know any differently. They were my sages. They were the source of power and love. They created security, preserved our culture, honored our ancestors, tended to the spiritual realm, and taught me what it meant to possess power without hoarding it.

I don’t say this often, but I believe it with every fiber of my being: everything I am is because of these three women. My mother. My grandmother. My aunt. They are my holy trinity.

When I began my astrological journey, I remember thinking, This is it. This is a place where women are celebrated and revered. My entry point was Linda Goodman and Susan Miller. But as I moved further down the rabbit hole and found the work of Demetra George, my entire understanding of astrology, and of myself, changed. I realized that Venus was never the whole story…

Venus can tell us about love, attraction, beauty, pleasure, value, and receptivity. The Moon can describe our emotional body, our instincts, and our need for safety. But neither contains the totality of feminine experience.

Where was the feminine intellect? Where was the mother who had endured unbearable loss? Where was the woman who chose her sacred work over marriage? Where was the wife who demanded equality rather than mere companionship? Where was feminine rage?! Where was sexual autonomy? Where were the women who had been rejected, exiled, widowed, betrayed, politicized, or initiated by darkness?! They were there. They had simply been relegated to the margins of the chart.

The Feminine Archetype.

The asteroid goddesses restored complexity to the astrological feminine. Ceres, Pallas, Juno, and Vesta give us four distinct expressions of feminine consciousness: the Mother, the Daughter, the Wife, and the Sister. Eris and Lilith take us further, into the territory of exile, rage, refusal, instinct, and the parts of the feminine that society has repeatedly attempted to suppress.

These archetypes don’t belong exclusively to women. They exist in every chart because they describe human capacities. They show how we nurture, create, strategize, commit, devote, resist, and reclaim ourselves. They also reveal something that traditional astrology can sometimes obscure: femininity is not synonymous with softness.

Sometimes the feminine fights, she leads, she waits in the underworld, she tends to the flame, she exposes the lies. Sometimes she refuses to make herself smaller because her existence has disturbed the room. The goddesses give the feminine back her range.

Ceres. The Mother.

Nourishment, Grief, Survival, and Return.

Ceres is often reduced to nurturing, food, and motherhood, but her mythology is much more complex. She’s not simply the mother who feeds. She is the mother who loses. Her Greek counterpart, Demeter, was the goddess of agriculture, grain, fertility, and the harvest. When her daughter Persephone was taken into the underworld, Demeter’s grief was so profound that the earth became barren. Nothing could grow while her child was gone.

This is the part of Ceres that is often overlooked: her care is powerful enough to sustain life, but her grief is powerful enough to stop the world.

Ceres rules the cycles of attachment, separation, loss, mourning, and return. She describes how we nourish others, but also what happens when the person, role, or source of meaning we have nurtured is taken away. She asks whether we can survive the seasons in which our love has nowhere to go.

In the birth chart, Ceres can describe how we were mothered, how we learned to associate food with love, and what makes us feel physically and emotionally cared for. She can speak to pregnancy, childbirth, midwifery, parenting, adoption, fertility, caregiving, education, agriculture, nutrition, and the relationship between the body and the land. But Ceres also belongs to the sickroom, the hospice, the grief circle, and the kitchen table after everything has changed.

She tends to those who are dying. She supports the parent raising a child alone. She feeds the neighbor whose refrigerator is empty. She teaches children what they need to survive. She understands that care is not merely a feeling; it’s labor, infrastructure, protection, and access to resources.

Her shadow can appear as being too mothering, martyrdom, control through caretaking, emotional withholding, or the belief that we are only valuable when someone needs us. Ceres can become so identified with being the provider that she doesn’t know who she is when she is no longer required to rescue everyone.

She can also reveal the wound of conditional nourishment: love that was offered only when we were obedient, successful, useful, thin, quiet, or easy to care for.

The medicine of Ceres is reciprocal nourishment. She teaches us that care must include the caregiver. She reminds us that grief is not a failure of faith and that letting go doesn’t erase the love that came before it. Her myth assures us that life is cyclical. There are seasons of abundance, seasons of absence, and seasons when what was buried begins to return.

Ceres teaches us how to hold on with love, and how to release without abandoning ourselves.

In the chart: The sign describes the style of nurturing. The house shows where themes of care, loss, nourishment, and renewal unfold. Aspects reveal what supports or complicates our ability to give, receive, grieve, and regenerate. What are you nourishing, and is it nourishing you in return?

Pallas Athena. The Daughter.

Pattern Recognition, Creative Intelligence, and Strategic Resistance.

She is inseparable from the Little Owl, Athene noctua, her sacred companion and enduring emblem. The owl sees in darkness, detects the smallest movement, and remains watchful while others sleep. It symbolizes Athena’s ability to perceive what’s hidden, recognize patterns, and see through confusion without being consumed by it. Her wisdom is not simply the accumulation of knowledge. It is clear sight, the capacity to understand what’s actually happening beneath the surface.

She is associated with wisdom, strategy, craftsmanship, political intelligence, justice, and pattern recognition. She doesn’t rush into conflict to prove that she is powerful. She observes. She studies the structure. She waits until she understands how the pieces connect. Then she identifies the pressure point and acts with precision.

Like the Little Owl, Pallas notices what others overlook.

Pallas reminds us that intelligence is not the opposite of intuition. At its highest expression, she unites them. She sees patterns before other people have language for them. She understands how seemingly unrelated events connect and can envision the larger image while everyone else is still focused on individual pieces. This makes her significant in the charts of artists, strategists, healers, designers, activists, politicians, attorneys, mediators, and anyone whose gift is seeing the underlying architecture of a problem.

Her creativity is structural. Pallas can take a vision, a political truth, or an intuitive impression and give it form. She rules the intelligence of weaving: separate threads becoming a coherent image. This is why she can describe both artistic composition and political strategy. She recognizes what belongs together.

As the Daughter archetype, however, Pallas carries a complicated history. Athena was born from the head of Zeus, fully armored, with no mother present in the story of her birth. Symbolically, this can describe the feminine intellect entering patriarchal systems by separating itself from the emotional, maternal, or embodied feminine.

Pallas may learn that she’s welcome in rooms of power as long as she doesn’t make those rooms confront their contempt for other women. She can survive by becoming exceptional: the woman who is intelligent enough, useful enough, controlled enough, or “different from the others” enough to be accepted.

Her shadow isn’t her lack of brilliance. It’s brilliance used in service of systems that require her to abandon part of herself. Pallas can reveal father-daughter dynamics, the struggle for intellectual recognition, and the places where a person has learned to armor their vulnerability. She can show where we have been praised for being capable while our emotional needs went unnoticed.

Her medicine is integration. Pallas asks us to reclaim strategy without abandoning intuition, and authority without rejecting tenderness. She depolarizes masculine and feminine roles. She reminds us that aggression is not the same as strength, just as softness is not the same as weakness.

She also turns our attention toward social and political patterns. Pallas recognizes that individual suffering often has structural roots. She helps us name the system behind the symptom. When we work with her consciously, she sharpens our gifts. She helps us develop artistic technique, trust our visions, negotiate conflict, defend what matters, and use intelligence as a form of liberation.

In the chart: The sign describes how the mind recognizes and organizes patterns. The house shows where strategic intelligence and creative problem-solving emerge. Aspects can reveal our relationship to authority, visibility, artistic gifts, justice, and the integration of intellect with instinct. What pattern can you already see and what would change if you trusted yourself enough to take the leap and share this wisdom?

Juno. The Wife.

Covenant, Equality, Betrayal, and the Politics of Partnership.

Juno is often called the asteroid of marriage, but she isn’t just an indicator of whom we will marry. Juno is the keeper of the covenant.

She represents the agreements that hold relationships together: loyalty, reciprocity, accountability, commitment, and shared power. She describes what we require in order to experience a partnership as legitimate and what happens when the agreement is violated.

Her mythology is filled with the pain of betrayal. As the wife of Jupiter, Juno possessed status but repeatedly endured her husband’s infidelity. Her rage is frequently portrayed as jealousy, but beneath that jealousy lies a deeper reality: she was trapped inside an unequal arrangement. This makes Juno profoundly political.

She asks who is protected by the institution of marriage, who is made invisible within it, and who is expected to tolerate betrayal to preserve the appearance of stability. She exposes the difference between having a relationship and having power within a relationship.

Juno is not about whether someone will choose you. She’s asking whether the relationship honors you.

She can describe marriage, divorce, commitment ceremonies, domestic partnerships, business partnerships, and any bond organized around a lasting agreement. Her archetype reaches far beyond heterosexual marriage. Juno belongs wherever people are creating relationships based on mutual recognition rather than inherited roles. This makes her especially meaningful in conversations about women’s rights, LGBTQIA+ partnerships, chosen family, relationship anarchy, polyamory, and the creation of new relational structures. Her concern isn’t conformity. It’s consent, equality, and the integrity of the agreement.

In shadow, Juno can manifest as jealousy, possessiveness, comparison, surveillance, fear of abandonment, or attachment to status. We may remain inside an expired relationship because we are more loyal to the identity it gives us than to the truth of what it has become.

She can also reveal the places where betrayal has made us hypervigilant. Sometimes jealousy isn’t rooted in insecurity. Sometimes it’s the nervous system remembering what happened the last time trust was misplaced.

Juno’s medicine is conscious commitment. She helps us distinguish devotion from self-abandonment. She asks us to examine the contracts we have inherited about gender, labor, money, sex, fidelity, and power. She teaches us that commitment is not proved by how much pain we can endure. At her most liberated, Juno creates relationships in which no one should disappear to keep the bond intact.

She also carries a sexual dimension. Juno can describe sexuality that deepens through trust, ritual, psychological intimacy, and the merging of lives. This isn’t sexuality performed for the sake of approval. It’s sexuality rooted in mutual presence and the willingness to be transformed by connection.

In the chart: The sign describes what commitment means to us and what qualities we seek in an equal. The house shows where partnership, loyalty, and power-sharing become central. Aspects reveal how commitment interacts with identity, desire, freedom, fear, and purpose. What agreements are you keeping, and do they honor everyone involved?

Vesta. The Sister.

Sacred Devotion, Erotic Sovereignty, and the Flame That Belongs to You.

Vesta is the keeper of the sacred flame. Her Greek counterpart, Hestia, tended the hearth: the center of the home, the temple, and the community. The flame represented continuity, protection, spiritual presence, and the life of the collective.

Vesta shows us what we are devoted to. She describes the work, practice, cause, or inner calling capable of gathering our scattered energy into a single flame. Where Vesta is strong, theres often extraordinary focus. She can work quietly for years without applause because the work itself has become sacred.

She is the Sister archetype because her identity doesn’t depend upon being someone’s mother, daughter, or wife. Vesta belongs to herself.

This autonomy has often been mistranslated as purity or celibacy. But Vesta’s deeper teaching isn’t rooted in sexual repression. It’s erotic sovereignty. Her energy is not available just because someone desires access to it.

Vesta teaches us that sexual energy is creative energy, it’s our Prana (our life force) and that we have the right to decide where it goes. It can be shared with another person, devoted to spiritual practice, poured into art, directed toward healing, or held within the self.

She teaches us that our value doesn’t depend on being consumed, desired, or made palatable for others.

This is why Vesta can help liberate us from sexual shame and inhibition. She separates sexuality from performance and returns it to the realm of the sacred. She asks whether our desire belongs to us or whether they’ve been organized around pleasing, proving, attracting, or obeying.

Vesta can indicate spiritual gifts, ritual practice, energy work, herbalism, healing, sacred sexuality, advocacy, and lifelong devotion to a cause. She often appears strongly in the charts of people who create sanctuaries, literal or symbolic, for others.

But Vesta’s shadow is sacrifice without end. The keeper of the flame may begin to believe she can never leave her post. Devotion becomes depletion. Service becomes self-erasure. Discipline becomes isolation. The sacred calling becomes another reason to neglect the body.

A strong Vesta can produce remarkable concentration, but it can also make interruption feel threatening. Intimacy may be experienced as a distraction. Rest may feel like betrayal. The individual may know how to serve the mission but not how to have a life outside of it.

Vesta’s medicine is sustainable devotion. She teaches us that the flame doesn’t need to consume the person tending it. The body is not an obstacle to the sacred; it’s part of the temple. Health, rest, solitude, pleasure, and boundaries aren’t distractions from the work. They are what allow the work to continue.

In the chart: The sign describes how devotion is expressed. The house shows where we tend the sacred flame and require autonomy, ritual, or focused attention. Aspects reveal the relationship between service, sexuality, work, health, intimacy, and spiritual calling. What flame are you responsible for tending and what must you stop sacrificing in order to keep it alive?

Eris. The Excluded One.

Discord, Exposure, and the Refusal of Peace.

Eris is a dwarf planet and her discovery forced astronomy to reconsider its definition of a planet. Even astronomically, she arrived as a disruption to the established order. And I love her even more for that.

Her mythology begins with exclusion. Eris, the goddess of discord, wasn’t invited to a wedding attended by the other gods. In response, she threw a golden apple marked “for the fairest” into the gathering. The competition it provoked eventually contributed to the Trojan War.

On the surface, this story has often been used to characterize Eris as petty, jealous, or destructive. But beneath it lies a more uncomfortable question: What happens when the person a system has excluded refuses to remain invisible?

Eris represents the return of what has been denied entry.

She exposes the resentment beneath politeness, the violence beneath order, and the inequality beneath invitations that claim to be universal. She is discord, not because she creates the problem. Often, Eris reveals the conflict that was already present.

Her energy lives in the person who says what everyone else has agreed not to mention. She speaks for those pushed outside the circle. She can be connected to whistleblowers, activists, truth-tellers, survivors, and anyone whose testimony threatens the comfort of the powerful.

Eris refuses false peace or serenity. She knows that harmony built upon silence isn’t harmony, it’s suppression. In the chart, Eris can describe where we are highly sensitive to exclusion, injustice, and hypocrisy. She can show where being dismissed awakens a fierce survival response. She may mark the place where we’ve been treated as difficult because we refused to cooperate with our own erasure.

Her shadow can appear as chronic conflict, provocation, vengeance, or the need to destroy every room that doesn’t provide immediate recognition. When the wound of exclusion remains unconscious, we may recreate rejection or throw the symbolic apple without considering what the consequences will be. A conscious Eris isn’t creating chaos for entertainment. She creates disruption in service of revelation.

She gives us the courage to express what has been suppressed, to advocate for women and children, to expose abuse, and to confront systems that survive through secrecy. She opens our eyes to what’s hidden, not because seeing it will be comfortable, but because healing cannot begin while everyone is pretending nothing happened.

Eris also reminds us that anger contains information. Rage may be the psyche’s final attempt to protect a boundary that has been violated too many times. Her medicine is purposeful disruption: knowing when to confront, what truth must be spoken, and how to turn outrage into organized action.

In the chart: The sign describes the style of disruption and resistance. The house shows where exclusion, competition, injustice, or radical truth-telling may arise. Aspects reveal how the Eris wound interacts with identity, voice, power, belonging, and the right to exist without permission. What truth has been excluded from the narrative and what happens when you refuse to keep protecting everyone from it?

Lilith. The Uncontainable Feminine.

Exile, Refusal, Sexual Sovereignty, and the Reclamation of Power.

Lilith requires precision because astrology uses her name for several different points and celestial bodies. Black Moon Lilith, the most commonly used Lilith, is neither an asteroid nor a physical planet. It’s a calculated point associated with the Moon’s apogee, the place in the Moon’s orbit farthest from Earth. There is also asteroid Lilith (number 1181) as well as Dark Moon Lilith and other Lilith calculations. These points should not be treated as interchangeable, even though they draw from related archetypal themes.

Black Moon Lilith speaks most directly to rejection, autonomy, sexual power, rage, shame, and the parts of the self that refuse submission.

Lilith is the feminine that draws the boundary and says no.

Lilith is described as Adam’s first wife. Because they were created from the same earth, she believed herself to be his equal and refused to take a subordinate position. Rather than remain in an arrangement that required her obedience, Lilith left Eden. Her refusal was transformed into evidence of her wickedness, and the woman who demanded equality became the woman the story taught others to fear.

When a woman cannot be controlled, she is called dangerous. When she expresses anger, she is called unstable. When she owns her sexuality, she is called impure. When she refuses to make herself agreeable, she is called difficult. When she leaves an arrangement that diminishes her, the story is often rewritten so that her freedom becomes proof that she was the problem all along.

Lilith reveals what happens when feminine power refuses to make itself palatable.

Lilith governs the place where shame has been used as a leash. In the chart, she can describe the instincts we were taught to suppress, the desires we learned to conceal, and the anger we swallowed in order to remain loved. Her placement may reveal where we have been rejected, punished, sexualized, scapegoated, or misunderstood for being too intense, too independent, too ambitious, too angry, too perceptive, too sexual, or too unwilling to obey.

Lilith also reveals where other people may project their fear and desire onto us. She can mark the part of the self that becomes a screen for other people’s fantasies, judgments, envy, or discomfort. We may be treated as dangerous without having done anything dangerous. Sometimes the threat is that we cannot be easily defined, possessed, or controlled.

This is one of Lilith’s deepest wounds: being made responsible for what our freedom awakens in other people. Her sexuality is not merely erotic magnetism. It’s sexual sovereignty; the right to inhabit the body without apology and to determine who, if anyone, is granted access to it. Lilith separates desire from obedience. She exposes the ways sexuality has been used to shame, control, commodify, or silence us. She asks whether our desires actually belong to us or whether they have been shaped around being wanted.

Lilith can also hold the rage created by generations of forced accommodation. The ancestral anger of being interrupted, dismissed, violated, disbelieved, or expected to remain pleasant while a boundary is being crossed. Her rage is often the accumulated force of every “no” that was ignored.

But Lilith is the part of us that survives after approval has been withdrawn. She knows what it costs to belong somewhere that requires self-betrayal. She teaches us that exclusion can be devastating, but belonging at the expense of the self is another form of exile. Her freedom begins when we stop negotiating with systems, relationships, and identities that only accept a diminished version of us.

Her shadow can appear as isolation, contempt, compulsive rebellion, destructive entanglement, or the need to reject others before they can reject us. When the wound is unconscious, autonomy can become defensiveness and intimacy may feel like captivity. Lilith may become so identified with being the outsider that she no longer knows how to recognize relationships in which her freedom would genuinely be respected.

Her medicine is not endless defiance. It is self-possession. Lilith asks us to reclaim what we were taught to disown without allowing the original rejection to govern every decision. She teaches us to recognize the difference between compromise and submission, between intimacy and possession, and between being loved and being made acceptable. She doesn’t want us to become unapproachable, she wants us to stop abandoning ourselves in order to be approached or accepted.

Working with Lilith means confronting where we have internalized the judgment of those who could not control us. It means releasing the belief that being misunderstood makes us wrong. It means allowing anger to clarify a boundary without letting anger become our entire identity. Lilith is the part of the feminine that cannot be civilized through shame. She doesn’t exist to make other people comfortable. She doesn’t acquiesce to earn her freedom. She doesn’t ask for permission to belong to herself.

In the chart: The sign describes how Lilith’s refusal, autonomy, desire, and untamed power are expressed. The house shows where we may experience shame, projection, rejection, or the struggle to belong without betraying ourselves. Aspects reveal which parts of the personality are drawn into Lilith’s conflict between authenticity and acceptance, desire and judgment, intimacy and sovereignty. Lilith chose hell over inequality. She chose exile, demonization, and the wilderness beyond Eden rather than remain in a paradise built upon her submission. What heaven is worth if entering it requires you to live on your knees?

Working With the Goddesses in the Birth Chart

The goddess archetypes aren’t decorative additions to a chart. They bring psychological and spiritual specificity to experiences that the traditional planets don’t always describe on their own. To begin working with them, look at four things:

• The goddess herself describes the archetypal function.

• The sign describes how that energy expresses itself.

• The house shows where the story is lived.

• The aspects reveal which planets, wounds, desires, relationships, and life purposes are woven into the archetype.

A goddess conjunct the Sun may become central to identity and life purpose. Conjunct the Moon, she may be carried through the maternal line, the emotional body, or ancestral memory. Conjunct Mercury, she speaks through the mind and voice. Conjunct Venus, she shapes love, pleasure, beauty, worth, creativity, and relationship. Conjunct Mars, she enters the realm of will, conflict, desire, and action. Conjunct Jupiter, her expression may become amplified through teaching, belief, justice, or cultural influence. Conjunct Saturn, she may carry ancestral duty, suppression, mastery, or a responsibility that develops over time. Conjunct the angles or lunar nodes, she can become inseparable from the direction and visibility of a life.

This is what I see in the women who raised me. My mother’s Lilith and Ceres on Venus tell a story of love that is both fiercely protective and unwilling to be domesticated. Her nurturing is not separate from her autonomy. Juno and Pallas on her Sun speak to a woman whose identity carries partnership, justice, intelligence, and strategic power. My grandmother’s Vesta on Mercury suggests a voice devoted to something sacred. Her words could tend the flame. What she said carried authority because it came from deeper place that didn’t care about roles or performance.

My aunt’s Juno on the Sun makes covenant, loyalty, and relational integrity central to identity. Pallas on Jupiter expands the strategist, the teacher, and the pattern-seer. Vesta on the North Node suggests that devotion, spiritual purpose, and the tending of a sacred calling are part of the path her soul came here to develop. They weren’t here to just teach me about feminine power, they embodied its different faces.

Why the Feminine Is Re-emerging.

We are living through a time when qualities historically associated with the feminine have been sentimentalized while the actual labor of care has been devalued. Motherhood is romanticized, but mothers are unsupported. Intuition is marketed, but people who name uncomfortable truths are dismissed. Goddess imagery is everywhere, but women are still punished for anger, age, ambition, sexual autonomy, and refusal. Self-care is sold as a product while the structures creating exhaustion remain intact. This is why the re-emergence of the feminine cannot be reduced to an aesthetic.

I’m not talking about the palatable vision of a soft goddess with ethereal hair and a pastel color scheme, waiting to be admired. I am talking about feminine power that feeds people, buries the dead, exposes abuse, builds institutions, protects children, creates art, organizes resistance, preserves culture, negotiates relationships, and walks willingly into the underworld.

I’m talking about Ceres, the mother who understands that nourishment is political and that grief has seasons.

Pallas Athena, the daughter whose intelligence recognizes the pattern and develops a strategy capable of changing it.

Juno, the wife who refuses to confuse commitment with inequality and who insists that love must include justice.

Vesta, the sister who belongs to herself and tends a flame that cannot be owned by anyone else.

Eris, the excluded one who reveals the violence beneath false harmony and will not allow the hidden wound to remain hidden.

Lilith, the uncontainable feminine who chose hell over inequality, who teaches us to reclaim our desire, our anger, and every part of ourselves that was shamed for refusing submission.

Tapping into the goddess energies doesn’t make us less feminine, nor does it ask us to become angry, hardened, or dismissive of the masculine. These archetypes ask us to reclaim the full range of our power. They ask us to become whole.

They call us toward a femininity spacious enough to contain tenderness and rage, sensuality and solitude, devotion and refusal, birth and death, relationship and autonomy, the hearth and the battlefield. Every one of these goddesses speaks somewhere in our charts.

Their re-emergence matters because we are entering a period that will require more than beauty, palatability, or individual empowerment. We will need endurance. Discernment. Community. Strategic intelligence. Sacred commitment. Fierce boundaries. The ability to grieve what’s ending without abandoning what still needs our care. We will need the strength to remain human through the long road ahead.

The goddesses aren’t arriving to rescue us. They’re awakening the capacities that have always lived inside us. They remind us of what our mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, ancestors, and chosen families may have already shown us: feminine power doesn’t always announce itself as power. Sometimes it appears as a meal. A boundary. A warning. A story preserved. A child protected. A truth spoken. A candle kept burning through the night. Sometimes it sounds like a grandmother looking directly at you and saying:

“You are going to be fine. You are strong.”

And sometimes that’s the initiation.

The space between eclipses can feel like a portal: the old story has been interrupted, but the next one has not fully revealed itself.

The August 12th South Node Solar Eclipse in Leo may have removed something we were still emotionally invested in maintaining. A role, identity, ambition, relationship, or version of the future may no longer carry the same life force it once did. Even if nothing has visibly ended, we can feel that something has changed.

And if you are anything like me, you may be feeling the exhaustion of that shift. Releasing something is tiring, even when we know it’s time. We aren’t only letting go of what we once believed we wanted or needed, but also the energy, hope, and identity we built around it.

The Windows In Between.

Mercury’s tense aspect to Neptune on August 19th can make it difficult to separate intuition from anxiety. We may feel that something is happening without being able to explain what it is. Conversations can be misunderstood, information may be incomplete, and the mind can keep reaching for answers that aren’t ready yet.

The Sun and Mercury’s biquintiles to Neptune offer another possibility: dreams, symbols, strange coincidences, and creative insights that make sense without being entirely logical. We may feel the truth emerging before we can prove it.

This is the liminal space, the stretch between what’s ended and what hasn’t yet begun.

On August 21st, Venus in Libra opposes Saturn in Aries, bringing a reality check around relationships, money, reciprocity, and self-worth. Saturn shows us what’s available, what’s not, and where our actions haven’t matched our intentions. With Mercury also in a tense aspect to Mars, difficult conversations may come off more sharply than we intend.

Then the Sun meets the South Node at the final degree of Leo on August 22nd. With the Sun involved, this can feel personal. We may recognize that an identity, role, performance, or way of being seen has become exhausting to maintain. The role we played wasn’t fake or false. It may have been completely real for a previous version of us. But somethings gotta give here.

Mercury follows, making a tense aspect to Saturn before meeting the South Node on August 25th. An old conversation, memory, or way of thinking may return. We may catch ourselves repeating an explanation that once protected us but no longer feels true. The past returns not to pull us backward, but to reveal the thread still tied around our heart, and ask whether we’re finally ready to loosen it.

Once the Sun and Mercury enter Virgo, we may feel pressure to clean everything up and figure out the next steps. But both planets form uncomfortable aspects to Pluto and Neptune on August 26th and 27th. Pluto exposes the deeper power dynamic, while Neptune blurs the meaning. We can see that something needs to change without knowing how to change it yet.

This is why the in-between can feel so exhausting. Our minds are trying to organize an experience that’s still unfolding.

The Mercury Cazimi on August 27th offers a brief light in the eclipse corridor. A realization, conversation, fact, or intuitive knowing may finally bring the pieces together, revealing what this eclipse season has been trying to show us all along.

In Virgo, the message may be surprisingly simple. It could come through the body, a practical detail, or one honest sentence: This doesn’t feel right anymore.

Hours later, the Lunar Eclipse in Pisces opens the emotional floodgates. Pisces speaks through dreams, grief, intuition, memory, and exhaustion, bringing everything we’ve felt but couldn’t explain to the surface. What comes up might be messy or difficult to understand. Now is the time to just be present and not rush into action.

The pressure continues after the eclipse as Mercury and the Sun square Uranus, with Venus also making a tense aspect to Uranus. Plans can change, new information can surface, and people may say things that catch us off guard. Uranus has a way of breaking the tension by making it impossible to keep pretending everything’s fine. For now, notice what takes more from you than it gives, what keeps asking you to tell the truth, and what you can no longer bring yourself to want in the same way. You don’t need the answers yet, honesty is enough.

Meet Me at the Crossroads.

We are all standing at some version of this crossroads now, facing a truth we can no longer talk ourselves out of, no matter how much we try.

It feels fitting that this is also a time when many modern devotees honor Hekate, goddess of the crossroads and torchbearer between worlds. In the older myths, she guides Persephone through the darkness of the underworld. She doesn’t illuminate the entire path or promise an easy return. She simply carries enough light for the next part of the journey.

This is the heart of this eclipse corridor: darkness is not emptiness. Just because we cannot see what’s happening doesn’t mean nothing is happening. It’s No-Thingness. It’s the space where sacred things are born. It’s the space between breaths. It’s the silence between words. It’s Shunyata (Sanskrit), the void.

Some of us are ready to move forward. Others need more time in the dark, trusting that something is still taking shape. Neither is behind.

Some astrologers consider twelfth-house years the most difficult, but I think eighth-house years can feel even more intense. The eighth house brings us into territory we cannot always control: loss, crisis, psychological shadow work, shared burdens, and the emotional weight we carry with, or sometimes for other people. In modern astrology, it’s often associated with Scorpio and Pluto, which makes sense when you consider its connection to death, rebirth, power, and the parts of life that change us from the inside out.

But the eighth house also holds our relationship with the taboo, the esoteric, the occult, and the ancestral realm. It asks us to look beneath the surface and reckon with what has been inherited, entangled, or left unspoken.

Going into my eighth-house year, I knew it would be about more than shared finances, debt, taxes, and all the usual topics we hear about. For me, it became the merging of two worlds, and the final ending of a version of myself I had already outgrown.

During my previous eighth-house year, I got married, left a career in Luxury Account Sales (Hello, Leo Sun), and began moving toward my passion for interior design (Venus in Cancer). Before that, I had been studying design, only to change my major to marketing and product development. Looking back, I can see how each of those decisions carried the eighth-house signature. One life was ending as another began to take shape, even if I could not fully see it at the time.

That’s often how Profection years work. We don’t always understand the story while we are inside it, we kinda have the blinders on. Sometimes we only recognize the pattern once the wheel comes around again.

There are years when one part of life seems to speak louder than everything else. Annual Profections help us understand which part and why. Like a solar return chart, they can feel a little like the score playing beneath the year. Sometimes the music turns ominous and you think, Wait, what the hell is happening? Other times, the tempo lifts, and you can feel that something is finally beginning to move in your favor. If only Ludwig Göransson were composing the score to my life; every minor breakthrough would sound insanely cinematic, and even my trips to the grocery store would carry the weight of destiny.

What Does This All Mean?

Annual Profections are often interpreted alongside the solar return chart and the transits occurring throughout the year. The profection tells us where to listen. The solar return describes the atmosphere surrounding that birthday year. The transits show when particular parts of the story may stir, open, or come to fruition.

When I recently posted about profection years on my Substack Notes, everyone said some version of, “Wait, where is the article about this?” And I realized I had never actually written one. So, here we are. It is time to share the wealth.

Originating in Hellenistic astrology, Annual Profections are a time-lord technique used to identify which house of the natal chart, and which planet, is being awakened during a particular year of life. Rather than trying to describe every possible influence at once, the technique narrows our attention. It shows us where the year is gathering its energy and which planetary voice has been given the floor.

Each birthday turns the wheel forward by one house. The Rising Sign and first house govern the first year of life, from birth until the first birthday. At age one, the second house is activated. At age two, the third house is activated. The wheel continues moving forward in this way until the cycle begins again every twelve years.

The activated house becomes a living chamber of the chart for that solar year. Its themes may become more visible, consequential, demanding, or simply harder to ignore. The zodiac sign occupying that house describes the way the year’s energy may express itself, while the traditional ruler of that sign becomes the year’s time lord.

The time lord isn’t the only planet that matters, but its condition becomes more significant than usual. Its natal sign, house, aspects, dignity, and transits can help describe how the year’s story may unfold. Any natal planets within the activated house may also come forward, bringing their own unfinished stories, gifts, tensions, and invitations with them. Annual Profections remind us that time is not empty. Every year has its own ruler, its own terrain, and comes with it’s own crossroads.

Turning the Wheel.

Annual Profections use the whole sign house system, beginning with the Rising Sign as the first house.

To find your profection year, begin with your current age and move through the houses in order. The cycle repeats every twelve years:

• Ages 0, 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, and 72 activate the 1st house.

• Ages 1, 13, 25, 37, 49, 61, and 73 activate the 2nd house.

• Ages 2, 14, 26, 38, 50, 62, and 74 activate the 3rd house.

Continue around the wheel until you locate your current age. Once you know which house is activated, look to the zodiac sign occupying it. The traditional ruler of that sign becomes your time lord for the year. If you want an easier way to figure this out, you can click here.

• Aries — Mars — 1st House

• Taurus — Venus — 2nd House

• Gemini — Mercury — 3rd House

• Cancer — Moon — 4th House

• Leo — Sun — 5th House

• Virgo — Mercury — 6th House

• Scorpio — Mars/Pluto — 8th House

• Sagittarius — Jupiter — 9th House

• Capricorn — Saturn — 10th House

Traditional rulers are used because Annual Profections originated before the discovery of Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. The outer planets don’t replace the traditional time lord within this Hellenistic technique, but I have included the modern rulers because I believe they still influence how the energy manifests in our lives. Traditional Astrologers may disagree, and that’s completely fair. But Astrology is a living language, and every now and then, I like to color outside the ancient lines.

Annual Profections Through the Houses.

Each house brings a different part of life to the front of the room. It doesn’t mean everything else disappears, but it’s usually that area asking for more of your attention, and occasionally making enough noise that ignoring it is no longer an option.

1st House Profection Year

A first-house year puts the focus directly on you: your body, identity, appearance, vitality, confidence, and the way you move through the world.

You may change your style, become more intentional about your health, outgrow an old identity, or realize that you no longer recognize the person staring back at you in the mirror. Sometimes this year brings an obvious reinvention. Other times, the changes are quieter: you begin listening to your body, saying what you actually think, or taking up space without immediately apologizing for it.

Mercury rejoices in the first house, so you may become more aware of the stories you tell about yourself, and the way you speak to yourself when no one else is listening. Do those stories still feel true, or have you repeated them so often that they have simply become part of who you think you are?

Your word is your wand. What kind of life have you been calling in with the way you speak about yourself? If the language no longer fits the person you’re becoming, it may be time to create a different spell.

This can be a year of personal reinvention, but it can also be something quieter and more intimate: learning to trust your own voice and finally feeling at home in your own skin.

2nd House Profection Year

A second-house year brings your relationship with money, security, possessions, skills, and self-worth into focus.

You may change how you earn money, get serious about saving, raise your prices, pay off debt, make an important purchase, or finally look at where all your money is actually going. You might recognize a talent you’ve been undervaluing, or realize that being good at something doesn’t mean you have to keep giving it away for free!

But beneath the budgets and bank statements, this year asks a deeper question: what do you truly value? What is worthy of your time, money, and energy? What helps you feel secure, and what is costing you far more than its price tag; whether the currency is money, peace, or self-respect?

Your resources aren’t limited to what you have in the bank. Your gifts, time, knowledge, and energy are forms of wealth too. This can be a year of building a stronger material foundation, but it may also remind you that your worth was never something you had to prove or earn.

3rd House Profection Year

A third-house year brings communication, writing, learning, siblings, relatives, neighbors, short trips, and the everyday movement of life into focus.

You may begin writing or publishing, return to school, take a class, become more involved in your local community, or finally have a conversation that’s been waiting in the wings. Relationships with siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, or neighbors may also become more significant.

The Moon rejoices in the third house, a place traditionally associated with the Goddess, divination, omens, and the sacred practices woven into ordinary life. The magic here is deep. It might be the cards you pull with your morning coffee, the symbol that keeps appearing, the voice note that arrives at exactly the right moment, or the meditative walk that clears your mind.

A third-house year asks you to pay attention to what life is trying to tell you. The message may not arrive like thunder and lightning. It may come through a book, a dream, a passing conversation, or something you’ve seen a hundred times but are only now ready to understand. New Moons and Full Moons feel especially potent during third house years.

4th House Profection Year

A fourth-house year brings the focus home, sometimes quite literally. You may move, renovate, buy or sell property, return to your hometown, spend more time with family, or begin questioning what home actually means to you. This can be a deeply personal year. Family dynamics you thought you had already dealt with may return and sometimes in disguise. You may feel drawn to learn more about your ancestors, grieve what was never given to you, break a generational pattern, or create the kind of safety you didn’t always have growing up.

The fourth house is the foundation beneath your visible life. A great deal may be shifting internally, even if no one else can see it yet. This year asks you to tend to your roots and build a life that feels like somewhere you can truly live, not simply somewhere that looks good from the outside.

5th House Profection Year

A fifth-house year brings pleasure, creativity, romance, sexuality, children, hobbies, and play back into the picture. You may fall in love, start dating again, deepen an existing romance, begin a creative project, become more involved with children, or rediscover something you once loved. Parts of you that have been buried beneath work, responsibility, or just trying to survive may want to come out and play.

Venus rejoices in the fifth house, reminding us that pleasure is not a reward we receive after every task has been crossed off the list. Beauty, joy, desire, and creative expression aren’t frivolous. They are part of what makes us feel alive.

This year asks what wants to be created through you. Not because it will become a business. Not because it needs to impress anyone. Not because it needs to be turned into content. What do you want to make, love, or experience simply because it lights you up. Joy is the light that guides you home to your own heart.

6th House Profection Year

A sixth-house year puts daily life under the microscope: work, health, habits, routines, responsibilities, coworkers, pets, and all the maintenance required to keep life moving. You may change jobs, take on new responsibilities, become more aware of your health, rebuild your routine, or finally admit that your current schedule isn’t sustainable. Mars rejoices in the sixth house, so there may be plenty to do. Problems need solving, boundaries need reinforcing, emails need answering, and the laundry keeps piling up.

This year wants you to see what your daily life is doing to you. Your habits may seem small, but they quietly become the architecture of your life. What are you practicing every day, and what kind of person is that practice creating? Do you really want to keep living this way and is it even sustainable?

7th House Profection Year

A seventh-house year brings your closest relationships into focus. Romantic partners, business partners, clients, collaborators, therapists, best friends, contracts, and commitments may all become more significant. You may enter or leave a relationship, get married, renegotiate an existing partnership, sign an important agreement, or meet someone who changes the way you see yourself.

Relationships have a way of revealing the parts of us that solitude cannot. They show us where we’re open, where we’re guarded, what we’re asking for, and what we’ve been too afraid to name. This can be beautiful, uncomfortable, or, more often than not, a little of both. A seventh-house year wants to know what you’re willing to build with another person. It may also reveal where compromise has quietly become self-abandonment, where more honesty is needed, or where you’ve been expecting someone to meet the needs you never seem to express but deeply need.

Every relationship is a mirror, but not every mirror gives a true reflection. The right relationships will help you see yourself more clearly without requiring you to disappear in order to keep them.

8th House Profection Year

An eighth-house year brings you into the complicated territory of shared money, emotional entanglement, inheritance, grief, intimacy, surrender, and transformation.

Taxes, debt, loans, investments, inheritances, grants, joint accounts, and a partner’s finances may require more attention than you would prefer. You may become more aware of what you owe, what is owed to you, and what has been carried between you and another person for far too long.

But this house is about much more than paperwork and other people’s money. It holds the things we inherit emotionally and ancestrally: unspoken family stories, survival patterns, grief, shame, fear, and obligations we may never have consciously agreed to carry.

An eighth-house year may bring an ending, a deep merging, or a period of psychological excavation. It can reveal where your boundaries have blurred and where an old relationship, fear, or former version of yourself still has a claim on your energy. Sometimes you have to descend into the underworld to retrieve the parts of yourself you sacrificed out of fear.

You may not leave this year as the same person who entered it. Something is being released, reclaimed, or transformed; and yes, you may be more than ready for the ninth house by the time it’s over.

9th House Profection Year

A ninth-house year expands the horizon; mentally, spiritually, or quite literally across the map. Travel, higher education, publishing, teaching, philosophy, religion, spirituality, Astrology, and the search for meaning may become more important. You may visit a foreign country, begin a new course of study, publish your work, deepen a spiritual practice, or start questioning beliefs that once felt certain.

The Sun rejoices in the ninth house, making this a year of illumination, perspective, and a desire to understand the larger story. You may become less interested in simply collecting information and more interested in discovering what any of it actually means to you.

Sometimes this year brings a literal pilgrimage. Other times, the journey begins through a book, a teacher, a spiritual practice, or a conversation that completely unsettles your worldview. You may realize that a belief inherited from your family, religion, culture, or former self no longer belongs to you.

A ninth-house year asks you to move beyond the familiar. Ideally, you’ll return with more than a suitcase full of souvenirs and an airport story you still think about. You return with a larger life because you’re no longer seeing it through the same eyes.

10th House Profection Year

A tenth-house year brings your career, public life, reputation, ambitions, leadership, and sense of direction into focus. You may receive a promotion, change careers, launch something publicly, become more visible, accept greater responsibility, or realize that the path you’ve been following no longer leads anywhere you want to go.

This can be a year of recognition, but visibility isn’t always comfortable. Being seen may bring praise, opportunity, pressure, criticism; or all four before lunch. You may have to decide what kind of success you actually want and whether the version you’ve been chasing belongs to you or was handed to you by someone else.

The tenth house isn’t just your job title. It’s about what you’re building in the world, what you want to be known for, and the impact your choices have beyond your private life. There’s a difference between being visible and being truly seen, just as there is a difference between having a career and just answering emails. This year asks you to stand behind your work, take your ambitions seriously, and create a public life that doesn’t require you to betray your private self.

11th House Profection Year

An eleventh-house year brings friends, communities, collaborators, networks, audiences, and long-term dreams to the forefront. You may meet new friends, reconnect with old ones, join a group, grow your audience, become involved in a collective project, or find yourself surrounded by people who understand the future you are trying to create.

Jupiter rejoices in the eleventh house, traditionally known as the place of Good Spirit. Opportunities may arrive through friendships, introductions, and communities. Someone may recommend your work, invite you into a room you couldn’t access alone, or remind you of a dream you stopped believing was possible.

This year may also show you where you’ve outgrown a friendship or community. Not everyone can accompany you into every version of your life. Some connections are meant to last, while others belong to a particular chapter, and forcing a relationship beyond its natural season rarely brings it back to life. An eleventh-house year reminds us that ours dreams need people to help us actualize them. The right community helps you imagine what you couldn’t have dreamt up alone.

12th House Profection Year

A twelfth-house year draws you inward. Rest, solitude, dreams, mental health, hidden patterns, grief, spirituality, endings, retreat, and the unconscious may become more prominent. You may need more sleep, privacy, therapy, contemplation, or distance from the pressure to remain productive and visible all the time.

Saturn rejoices in the twelfth house, which can give the year a quieter or heavier feeling. What has been avoided may become harder to ignore. Old fears, self-sabotaging patterns, buried grief, and feelings you thought you had successfully locked in the basement may begin knocking from the other side of the door.

Don’t view this as a year of punishment, isolation, or loss. Sometimes your subconscious mind requires more attention than your conscious one. You might be releasing an entire twelve-year cycles worth of drama, trauma, people and patterns before you replace them with anything. The twelfth house is the dark of the Moon: a place of surrender, rest, and unseen preparation. Not every season is meant for pushing forward. Some are meant for releasing, dreaming, and allowing an ending to be complete before demanding a new beginning. Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is open the closet and clear out the skeletons. Then there’s room to let the light in.

Working With Your Time Lord

Once you have identified your profection house and its traditional ruler, return to your natal chart. Notice where the time lord is placed by sign and house. Consider the topics it governs in your chart, the aspects it makes, and whether it has the support it needs to carry out its work. Then watch its transits throughout the year, particularly its retrogrades, conjunctions, stations, and contacts with natal planets.

For example:

Imagine you’re 32 years old and an Aries Rising. This places you in a ninth-house profection year, activating Sagittarius and making Jupiter your time lord.

The ninth house brings travel, higher education, publishing, spirituality, and belief into focus; but Jupiter’s natal placement tells us where these themes take root. If your natal Jupiter is in Taurus in the second house, the year could connect ninth-house expansion with second-house matters such as money, security, self-worth, and your natural talents. You might earn money through teaching or publishing, invest in your education, travel for work, or begin turning your knowledge into something tangible.

You would then watch Jupiter’s movements throughout the year. A Jupiter retrograde might bring you back to an unfinished course, manuscript, spiritual practice, or travel plan. A Jupiter return or conjunction to a natal planet could coincide with an opportunity, meeting, or decision that makes the year’s larger story easier to recognize.

Not to say that every event will involve Jupiter or that the rest of your chart stops working. It simply means Jupiter has the microphone, and when it makes a significant move, you may want to listen.

I love looking back on profection years and seeing the major correlations and how certain transits impacted my life. This is a great way to see what could be in store for you and how to harness the energy. Our past always holds the keys to our future.

Maybe this is what we’re all searching for on our birthdays: some meaning in the year that has passed and some reassurance about the one waiting ahead.

We gather around a cake glowing with tiny flames, close our eyes, and make a wish before blowing them out. The ritual carries something ancient within it, an echo of offerings once lifted toward the heavens, of candlelight offered beneath the Moon and prayers entrusted to Selene. Even now, we instinctively return to light when we want to ask the universe for something.

Annual Profections offer another way of making that birthday wish. They can’t tell us exactly what will happen, nor can they spare us from the more difficult parts of being alive. But they can show us which room of the chart has been illuminated, which planet is carrying the lantern, and what part of ourselves is ready to be met more honestly.

Every year brings its blessings and lessons. Some years ask us to begin. Others ask us to release, rebuild, speak, rest, risk it all, love, or to simply remember. The wheel keeps turning, and somehow, through every house, it keeps leading us back to the same place.

Ingress: August 11th at 1:30 AM Pacific / 4:30 AM Eastern

From August 11th through September 27th, Mars the planet of action, anger, desire, and survival moves through Cancer, the sign of home, family, memory, and emotional security. Mars wants a clear target. Cancer moves by instinct. Put them together, and we get the crab holding a knife meme: protective, reactive, and prepared to defend whatever we consider home.

But this transit arrives in the middle of eclipse season, while many of us are already being asked to shed an identity we have outgrown. The eclipses are changing how we see ourselves, what we want to be known for, and which roles we are no longer willing or able to keep up.

Even necessary change can feel like being rushed out of the nest before we know how to fly. So we reach for whatever resembles the old life: a familiar relationship, an expired role, an old coping mechanism, a version of success we no longer want, or the identity that once kept us safe.

Mars in Cancer is deeply connected to survival responses. When everything feels uncertain, it protects what it believes matters most. During this transit, that may be our very sense of self. We may hold on for dear life because we can feel something changing. We may become territorial around the people, places, routines, and stories that once told us who we were. Not necessarily because they still fit, but because they are familiar, and familiarity can look a lot like safety when the future has not fully introduced itself yet.

But Cancer has its own lesson about growth. Like the crab, we cannot expand without shedding the shell that once protected us. Molting leaves the crab soft and exposed for a while, but that vulnerability isn’t a failure of its defenses. It’s proof that the old shell has done its job. What once kept us safe may now be the very thing restricting our growth.

That’s the deeper story of Mars in Cancer during these eclipses. We are not simply being asked to let go. We are being asked to trust that we can survive the tender space between identities; the strange middle ground where the old self no longer fits and the new self has not fully hardened into form. Trust seems to be the key theme in August and probably the hardest thing to do.

Mars in Cancer may not enjoy that uncertainty. It wants to lock the doors, turn on the alarm, gather its people, and protect every remaining piece of the life it recognizes. In fact, the cosmos aren’t stripping us of our protection just to mess with us. We are shedding because we need more room. When you manifest and say, “I want to receive XYZ or something greater”, well something greater is here now - it’s time to make room!

This transit can activate something fiercely protective, deeply personal, and sometimes difficult to read. Anger may not look like anger. It may appear as withdrawal, defensiveness, resentment, exhaustion, or the sudden decision that nobody is getting access to us today. Sure Mars in cancer is at fall, but this placement is about protection and fierce loyalty. The question now is whether we are protecting what still nourishes us, or guarding an old shell simply because we are afraid to be seen without it.

You Used to Call Me on Your Shell Phone…

Mars in Cancer draws us toward the private parts of life: home, family, the body, emotional labor, and the places where we are supposed to be able to lower our guard.

But lowering our guard isn’t always easy under this transit. Cancer’s instinct is to retreat into its shell when something feels unsafe, while Mars would rather respond to the threat. Together, this creates a strange emotional contradiction: we want someone to know what is wrong, but we don’t want to be the one who has to say it. It’s the “read my mind” passive aggressive transit that can cause more emotional damage than intended.

This transit can expose the difference between care and obligation. We may notice where love has become unpaid emotional labor, where loyalty has required self-abandonment, or where keeping the peace has really meant keeping our anger out of sight. We may also recognize how often we have made ourselves indispensable because being needed felt safer than simply being loved.

We may feel compelled to move, renovate, establish firmer boundaries, care for someone vulnerable, or finally confront a family dynamic that has quietly lurked beneath the surface. Some people will fight to preserve the past. Others will realize they have to fight their way out of it.

Cancer is ruled by the Moon, which changes signs every couple of days, so our energy may fluctuate with it. One day, we are ready to change our entire lives. The next, we need a snack, a nap, and everyone to stop asking what comes next. And our instincts can be remarkably accurate during this transit, but an activated nervous system can also mistake old memories as a present danger. The real work is learning the difference between intuition and activation. A feeling can carry important information without requiring an immediate reaction.

The shadow of this transit is indirect aggression. We may withdraw instead of communicating, expect people to know why we are upset, or use silence as punishment while insisting that everything is fine. We call from inside the shell, then become resentful when nobody knows how to reach us there. Mars in Cancer asks for emotional honesty. Say what you need. Admit that you are angry before the anger has six weeks to fester and build an entire case.

This ingress occurs one day before the August 12th total solar eclipse in Leo, giving the transit even more weight. The Leo eclipse places identity, visibility, leadership, and creative purpose under examination. It asks whether the person we have been presenting to the world is still alive, or simply well rehearsed.

While the eclipse changes the face we show the world, Mars in Cancer retreats behind the scenes to protect the self underneath it. We may cling to familiar people, roles, and emotional patterns because they still recognize the person we used to be. But not everyone who knew the old version of us will know how to meet the person emerging now. Our public story may be changing, but privately, we may still be paying the cost of keeping an old version of ourselves alive. Mars in Cancer asks us to listen closely; the call is coming from inside the house, and it’s the new self asking to be let out.

Let’s Get Physical.

Mars in Cancer is a physical transit. Mars brings heat, urgency, and inflammation; Cancer rules nourishment, digestion, the chest, and the stomach. What we cannot express directly may first appear as disrupted sleep, a nervous stomach, a clenched jaw, shallow breathing, changes in appetite, or the unmistakable feeling that the body has had enough before the mind is ready to admit it.

Mars in Cancer is The Body Keeps the Score energy. The body remembers what made it brace. It remembers the room where it learned to become quiet, the relationship that kept it on alert, and the version of us built to survive it.

That doesn’t mean every ache is trauma leaving the fascia, or that every symptom has an emotional cause. The body isn’t a metaphor; persistent or concerning symptoms deserve proper medical attention. But stress can shape how we breathe, sleep, digest, and hold tension. This transit may make those patterns harder to ignore. Don’t force the body into one dramatic release, give it (Mars) somewhere safe (Cancer) to go.

Cancer needs safety before it can soften. Mars needs movement before it can settle. This is especially important as Mars moves through its more difficult aspects. Its square to Neptune can make energy feel diffuse, depleted, or difficult to direct. Rest may be more useful than forcing productivity, and gentle movement may reveal more than a punishing workout. Rest if you need to rest!

Then on September 1st, Mars in Cancer squares Saturn retrograde in Aries, and suddenly, effort alone is not enough. We may feel tired, frustrated, or trapped in the same emotional pattern no matter how hard we push. The body might tighten, slow down, or simply refuse to keep running on adrenaline.

Because Saturn is retrograde, the wall we hit may feel familiar. An old responsibility may land on our shoulders again. A fear we thought we had conquered may return. We may catch ourselves falling back into the survival role we know best: the caretaker, the strong one, the peacekeeper, the person who never asks for help.

Don’t take this as a setback. The old pattern is returning because you now have the chance to meet it without becoming it. Saturn wants us to stop forcing our way through and consider what needs a boundary, a slower pace, or an entirely different structure. Sometimes our bodies apply the brakes because the life we are trying to maintain is no longer sustainable.

Mercury in Virgo will sextile Mars only minutes after the Saturn square, giving all that pressure somewhere useful to go. Instead of trying to solve the mysteries of your life, just take it one step at a time. The answer may be much less profound than we want it to be. Sometimes what feels like an existential crisis is exhaustion, hunger, a chaotic schedule, a simple trip to the doctor, or a boundary we keep hoping someone else will set for us. Mercury in Virgo reminds us that tending to the smallest practical detail can interrupt a much larger cycle of burnout.

Later, Mars’s semi-square to Uranus can make it harder to sit still. We may feel overstimulated, impatient, or suddenly desperate to escape a situation we tolerated just yesterday. Before sending the text, quitting the job, starting the fight, or making a permanent decision just to end this temporary moment of frustration; move the energy through the body. Take a walk. Put down the phone. Shake out your arms. Dance it out. Scream into a pillow. Just give the energy somewhere to go before it chooses a target for you.

By the time Mars reaches the final degree of Cancer and squares Chiron, the old wound may be easy to recognize. We know this feeling. We know the role we usually step into when it appears. We shut down, lash out, over function, disappear, or insist that we don’t need any help. We get to decide whether the wound dictates the decisions or if we’ve healed and hold the power.

Mars in Cancer gives us the courage to protect what is tender without treating tenderness like an emergency. Real protection is not always building a higher wall. Sometimes it is leaving the room, telling the truth sooner, asking for what we need, or allowing someone safe to see us before we have pulled ourselves back together. And sometimes it’s admitting that the identity that once kept us alive is now keeping us alone.

You aren’t losing yourself.

You are molting.

You are becoming.

Home Is Political.

Collectively, Mars in Cancer can intensify disputes involving housing, land, food, families, borders and national identity. Cancer represents both the literal home and the mythology of homeland. Mars moving through this sign can expose who gets protected, who gets displaced and whose version of security depends on somebody else remaining unsafe.

We may see increased tension around:

• Housing affordability, rent and homelessness.

• Immigration, borders and citizenship.

• Food systems, agriculture and domestic supply chains.

• Water, coastlines, flooding and climate displacement.

• Family policy, caregiving and reproductive issues.

• Nationalism and historical grievances.

• Political messaging built around fear and protection.

• Mothers, women and caregivers becoming more visibly organized or militant.

Cancer is tribal. At its best, this creates mutual aid, fierce community protection, and a refusal to abandon vulnerable people. At its worst, it turns the world into “our people” versus everyone else.

What we protect matters, but what we permit, justify, and excuse in the name of protection is another story.

Mars enters Cancer and immediately opens a practical path toward repair. This can be a moment of acting on what the body already knows: changing an environment, addressing a financial or physical vulnerability, or protecting something that has been neglected. Because this occurs alongside the total solar eclipse in Leo, a seemingly modest decision may belong to a much larger turning point. Healing doesn’t always look like forgiveness. Sometimes it looks like setting a boundary and making sure what hurt you no longer has access to you.

This is one of the most confusing and potentially most combustible transits. Motives might be difficult to read. Anger can attach itself to the wrong issue. People may act from fear while insisting they’re following their intuition. Collective narratives can become emotionally persuasive before the facts are clear. This is not an ideal moment for impulsive confrontation, martyrdom, or rescuing someone who did not asked to be saved. Compassion requires discernment. If the story keeps changing, give it time. Still, this aspect can be creatively potent.

August 21st: Mercury semi-square Mars | Mercury 21°28′ Leo semi-square Mars 6°28′ Cancer

Our words hit some nerves. Mercury in Leo speaks boldly; Mars in Cancer hears everything through personal history. A statement that shows off our new found confidence may be received as disrespect, while defensiveness may disguise itself as moral certainty. This is excellent if you need to clear the air and move on, but terrible for delivering sensitive information.

This is the BIGGEST pressure point of the entire transit. Mars says, “I need to act.” Saturn says, “Prove you are ready.” And boy will you need to prove it. Progress can feel obstructed by authority, responsibility, limited resources, or the consequences of earlier choices. Frustration will be real, but forcing an issue may create even more resistance. Mars/Saturn rewards controlled effort, strategic boundaries, and work that can survive a little discomfort. This isn’t the fun and thrilling part of building the life you desire. It’s the part where you ensure the roof doesn’t collapse. Mercury in Virgo sextiles Mars shortly afterward, offering a practical outlet: make the plan, correct the logistics, and deal with what’s actually in front of you.

September 12th: Mars semi-square Uranus | Mars 20°42′ Cancer semi-square Uranus 5°42′ Gemini

The nervous is running on high and you might feel like you’re crawling out of your skin. Plans may change abruptly. News, tech, transportation or communication can disrupt our emotional state. There can be sudden domestic conflict, impulsive decisions, or a strong need to escape an environment that feels confining. This is restless, dense, and sharp energy. Move the body. Fix what’s unstable. Give yourself room before reacting. Breakthroughs are possible, but so is knocking over the table because someone irked you.

September 27th: Mars square Chiron | Mars 29°38′ Cancer square Chiron 29°38′ Aries

Mars reaches the final, anaretic degree of Cancer and encounters Chiron again, this time through conflict rather than cooperation. The transit began with an opening for repair. It ends by testing whether we have actually changed how we respond to the wound. Old pains around independence, rejection, family, belonging or being forced to fend for ourselves may return. The temptation is to defend the wound as though it were a part of our identity. The opportunity is to operate from a healed space rather than trauma. We get closure but it comes with a gritty little test.

If you were born with Mars in Cancer, this transit marks your Mars return: the beginning of a new two-year cycle of action, desire, conflict, courage and self-assertion. Mars is very blunt this time around, he wants to know what you’re willing to fight for? You’ve changed, you’ve grown, now what’s most important. What is truly worth fighting for?

With natal Mars in Cancer, your drive is rarely separate from feeling. You may act because something matters personally, because someone needs protection, or because your instincts sense danger before your mind can explain it. Your strength is emotional tenacity. Who will be affected by the eclipses, everyone. Yes, everyone will feel the eclipses on some level. Eclipses are collective turning points. They can coincide with beginnings, endings, changes in direction, shifts in leadership, and developments that take months to fully understand. So if you are feeling like you’re on the brink of something or just sitting alone in the dark, it’s okay you’re right on track.

Before We Get Into the Eclipse-Scopes, a Few Eclipse Rules:

• Everyone is affected by eclipses. They can mark beginnings, endings, shifts in direction, changes in leadership, and collective turning points. Their meaning often unfolds over six months plus, rather than all at once.

• The August 12th Leo eclipse is a New Moon eclipse. New Moon eclipses can plant the seed of something new, but because the Moon is dark, we might not immediately understand what is beginning.

• Because this eclipse is close to the South Node, beginnings may come through release. Something may need to fall away, change form, or become less important before the next chapter becomes clear.

• Look back at previous eclipse cycles. Similar themes may connect back to what was happening around the February 2009 and August 2007 eclipses, when the nodes were moving through these same signs.

• Venus is already part of the story. She entered her pre-shadow on August 6th, so relationships, money, desire, self-worth, beauty, and what we value are beginning their own review alongside the eclipses. Themes from October–November 2010 and October–November 2018 may also start echoing. If you have a night chart, you may feel Venus’s story more strongly.

• If you were born near an eclipse, you may feel eclipse seasons more personally. People born within roughly two weeks of an eclipse often notice these periods more strongly in their own lives.

• Do not manifest during an eclipse. Let the astrology show you what’s already moving. You can reflect, set intentions, journal, rest, and pay attention without trying to force an outcome.

• Eclipses aren’t inherently bad. They can feel unsettling because they often move something before we fully understand why. As humans, we like certainty. Eclipse season tends to ask us to tolerate the part where we don’t have the whole picture yet.

• Most importantly: don’t panic and don’t blow up your life because an eclipse is happening. Watch what naturally changes. Notice what becomes harder to maintain, what information arrives, and what starts asking for your attention.

• Rest is sacred and key during eclipses. We are made of over 60% water and if the tides and all of nature are affected by the phases of the Moon and life giving Sun; so are we. So please, chill out.

Just like the eclipses in February, we now have a clearer sense of how these two very different signs and two different nodal stories are beginning to play out. The first is a Total Solar Eclipse in Leo on August 12th at 20°02′. The second is a Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on August 27th at 4°54′.

The Leo eclipse belongs to the Leo/Aquarius axis, where questions around visibility, leadership, identity, recognition, community, and collective power are becoming increasingly difficult to ignore. We are already watching these themes play out on the global stage in ways that feel intense and, at times, deeply unsettling. The Pisces eclipse belongs to the Virgo/Pisces axis that has been unfolding since 2024, returning us to more familiar questions around health, work, service, grief, faith, boundaries, rest, and the ongoing tension between trying to keep life ordered and knowing when something has to be surrendered.

Together, these eclipses move us from the obvious story to the one underneath it. The Leo eclipse brings attention to the identities, ambitions, public roles, and narratives that may no longer be sustainable in their current form. We’re watching parts of the old guard fall away, while whatever comes next hasn’t fully emerged. The uncertainty is part of the tension.

This is where the Pisces eclipse comes in. It begins to show us what those old structures have been costing us emotionally, physically, and systemically, and where the effort to keep them intact has become too much. That’s part of what makes August feel less like a clean slate and more like a month of trying to understand and reconcile what’s happening in real time. Much of what surfaces now has already been building beneath the surface. The eclipses simply make it harder to look away.

It’s partly why people fear Eclipses. They tend to work this way, the event itself can be immediate, but its meaning often isn’t. A change near the eclipse can appear to be about one thing and reveal itself to be about something much larger over six months later. This feels so much more relevant in August because the Leo eclipse falls close to the South Node. Although Solar Eclipses are associated with beginnings, South Node eclipses often begin through subtraction. Something moves forward because an old role, attachment, identity, relationship with power, or source of validation can no longer be maintained in the same way.

As someone with a bowl-shaped chart, I am very used to this rhythm in my own life: things tend to fall away first, and then the space gets filled almost immediately after. Once you become familiar with that kind of pattern, surrender comes a little more naturally because you learn that the empty space isn’t necessarily the end of the story.

For anyone who isn’t used to change arriving in this way, it can feel deeply unsettling. That in-between space can be scary, so be gentle with yourself if August asks you to sit with uncertainty for a little while.

This is the first of two Venus-in-Libra periods in 2026. Venus remains in Libra until September 10th, enters Scorpio, and later retrogrades back into Libra from October 25th through December 4th. What begins in August may therefore become part of a much longer story; one that develops, complicates, and asks to be understood more honestly.

Less Power Trips, More Partnerships.

When Venus enters Libra, we start paying closer attention to how our relationships actually feel. Not just whether someone is present in our lives, but whether we feel safe around them, speak honestly, and feel like ourselves. After Venus in Virgo spent time noticing what wasn’t working, what required too much effort, and where something felt uneven, Venus in Libra helps us step back and look at relationships as a whole. We become more aware of tone, body language, tension, warmth, and the things being communicated without words. We may begin to notice which connections help us soften, which ones keep us on edge, and where we have been maintaining peace by holding part of ourselves back.

On a personal level, Venus in Libra can make us want more ease in our relationships. We may feel more drawn to companionship, beauty, affection, and the kind of connection that doesn’t always feel like hard work. This can be a good time to repair tension, meet someone halfway, or try to understand where another person is coming from. Venus in Libra reminds me of the old saying that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. A thoughtful gesture, a softer approach, or a conversation held at the right moment may get us further than pushing, demanding, or trying to force an outcome.

Attraction may also feel more mental during this transit. Chemistry still matters, but we may want more than that. We may find ourselves drawn to people we can actually talk to; people who make us curious, introduce us to new ideas, share our sense of humor or taste, and make us feel understood. The strongest connections may be the ones rooted in friendship.

The more difficult side of Venus in Libra is the tendency to confuse keeping the peace with having a healthy relationship. We may say yes too quickly, avoid bringing something up, or go along with what someone else wants because we don’t want to create tension. But when we repeatedly ignore our own needs, resentment usually follows. We may appear agreeable on the outside while quietly feeling unseen, frustrated, or taken for granted.

This transit asks us to be honest about where we have been smoothing things over at the expense of the truth. True harmony isn’t rooted in silence, make ourselves smaller, or pretending that everything’s fine. It should be able to hold an uncomfortable conversation, a clear boundary, a difference of opinion, or a request for accountability. Of course Venus in Libra wants peace and justice, but above all it demands honesty.

Collectively, Venus enters Libra at a time when the effects of imbalance are becoming increasingly difficult to overlook. The rise of the feminine is about more than women becoming visible or powerful within existing structures. It reflects a deeper need to reconsider the values those structures were built upon. As I’ve shared, eclipses don’t change every part of your life at once, even when it feels like they do. Keyword: feel. They activate a specific area of your birth chart, pull certain planets and angles into the storyline, and connect multiple houses through planetary rulership. This is why two people with the same Sun sign can experience the same eclipse in completely different ways.

As a Leo, I will gladly welcome anything that gives August a holiday or reason to celebrate. The month began with Lughnasadh, or Lammas, the first harvest festival, and it also includes traditions honoring figures such as Diana during Nemoralia. Hekate is often honored during this season too.

August already carries the heat, momentum, and fullness of late summer. The season feels alive, the pace is shifting, and by August 8, the conversation naturally turns toward portals and possibility. But the real history behind the Lion’s Gate is far more fascinating than the modern 8/8 trend lets on.

The History Behind the Lion’s Gate.

The Lion’s Gate is connected to the heliacal rising of Sirius, which is the first annual appearance of the star shortly before sunrise after it has been hidden by the Sun’s light.

Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky, and it belongs to the constellation Canis Major, which is why it’s called the Dog Star. In tropical astrology, Sirius is currently located near 14° Cancer, not Leo. Astrologically, it has been associated with ambition, recognition, leadership, visibility, and prosperity. So yes, the famous “Lion’s Gate” is partly built around a star in Cancer. Astrology likes to keep us humble.

The heliacal rising of Sirius was deeply important in ancient Egypt because it helped mark the Egyptian New Year and appeared around the season when the Nile began its annual flooding. The floodwaters replenished the land, supported agriculture, and made another growing season possible. Because of this, Sirius became associated with renewal, fertility, provision, and the return of life.

Other ancient cultures also watched the first appearances of important stars. The Greeks used the rising of the Pleiades to help mark agricultural and sailing seasons, while Mesopotamian, Egyptian, and Mediterranean societies incorporated stellar cycles into calendars, farming, navigation, and ritual life.

The sky was never merely a beautiful backdrop. It was a clock, a compass, and a guide for survival, helping people understand when to plant, when to travel, and when the seasons were beginning to turn.

The heliacal rising of Sirius doesn’t occur everywhere on August 8th. Its visibility changes according to latitude, atmospheric conditions, location, and historical period. The emphasis on 8/8, with its modern associations with infinity, manifestation, money, and abundance, comes largely from contemporary numerology and spiritual culture.

There isn’t historical or archaeological evidence of an ancient Egyptian festival known as the Lion’s Gate Portal being observed annually on August 8th. That doesn’t mean the day is meaningless. It just means we can appreciate the symbolism without mistaking a modern interpretation for an ancient tradition.

Is the Lion’s Gate Actually a Portal?

Astronomically, no measurable portal opens on August 8th. Astrologically, there isn’t a traditional configuration that automatically makes every August 8th a major cosmic threshold. The Sun is in Leo, but Sirius is positioned in tropical Cancer, so the Sun is not conjunct Sirius on this date. The word “portal” works better as a symbol. It can describe a period that helps us focus our intentions, recognize a transition, or consciously step into a new chapter.

In astrology, eclipses are much closer to what we might call portals because they occur when the Sun, Moon, and lunar nodes align. They begin cycles of redirection, release, beginnings, endings, and realignment.

We are already approaching a major eclipse window, so it makes sense that the air may feel charged. The feeling is real, although the reason may be less about 8/8 numerology and more about the astrology building around us.

The Actual Astrology of August 8th, 2026.

August 8th isn’t the most transformational day of the month, and honestly, that may be a blessing…

The Moon moves through Gemini, which emphasizes communication, curiosity, writing, learning, conversation, short journeys, and the exchange of ideas. It’s mentally active astrology, but it doesn’t demand that we reinvent our entire lives on this day.

The Moon forms supportive sextiles with Saturn retrograde in Aries and the Sun in Leo. Sextiles create opportunities, but they still require participation. They open the door, but they do not drag us through it. No Lions coming to drag us through the change.

The Moon and Saturn can help us give structure to an idea, while the Moon and Sun support confidence, expression, and clearer communication. Together, these aspects favor conversations that actually go somewhere.

There’s also a few smaller aspects working in the background. This guide isn’t here to make you afraid of eclipses. Listen, I used to move through them with a surprising amount of ease, which, as a Leo, sounds a little unhinged because hello, I am ruled by a luminary. And if we get into the Pullen of it all, I am Sun, Scorpio, Water, and Fixed dominant. So yes, eclipses are going to affect me.

I say all of this because there was a time when I truly believed I could waltz through an eclipse that landed within minutes of my South Node in the 12th house. I thought I understood what I was dealing with. I thought I could handle it.

It became my own near-death experience, and afterward, I learned a lesson I will never forget. I’m not sharing this to frighten you or to suggest that every eclipse brings catastrophe. I’m sharing it because sometimes we ignore the signs. Sometimes we keep moving even when life is asking us to stop, listen, and pay attention. That year, I thought I was the Teflon Don. I believed nothing could touch me until something did. That experience is part of why I built this guide.

I want you to recognize Eclipse Season for what it is: a period when life can become louder, faster, stranger, or more honest than usual. Eclipses can coincide with beginnings, endings, revelations, departures, arrivals, and decisions that carry more weight than the ordinary turning of the month.

Sometimes the event is immediate and impossible to miss. Sometimes the meaning arrives slowly through a conversation, a choice, a closing door, a new responsibility, or the quiet realization that a version of you can no longer keep pretending. The point is not to live in fear. The point is to pay attention.

Astrology gives us a language for timing and symbolism. It doesn’t erase choice, context, or agency. I can’t believe it, we’re about to enter August. And August isn’t easing us in gently. This month arrives carrying eclipses, nodal activations, intricate chart patterns, sudden Uranian disruptions, and several moments when the future seems to interrupt whatever plan we thought we were following.

It’s going to feel like a roller coaster. Some of us will scream. Some may cry, laugh, grip the safety bar with both hands, or briefly wonder why we agreed to get on this ride in the first place. There may be sharp drops, unexpected turns, and moments when we feel suspended in midair with no idea what comes next. But there will also be exhilaration. Adrenaline. The thrill of realizing that life is moving again. By the end of the month, we may step off the ride a little dizzy, hair everywhere, heart pounding; but awake. Alive. Ready. More certain that whatever comes next, we can meet with courage and even a little excitement.

The month begins with Chiron stationing retrograde in Taurus, turning our attention toward the tender foundations beneath everything else: safety, stability, money, self-worth, the body, and our capacity to trust that we will have enough. This is the slow climb at the beginning of the ride, when we can hear the machinery clicking beneath us and sense that something is building.

From there, Venus enters Libra and briefly offers beauty, diplomacy, connection, and the possibility of meeting one another halfway. But even the sweeter moments come with questions that may be painful to ask. Are our relationships truly reciprocal? Are we actually resolving the tension, or just avoiding the conversation because we know it could change the relationship? Are we being genuinely being “understanding”, or are we shrinking our needs because the truth feels too risky to say? And then the coaster drops, we scream, laugh, cry, and even feel a little sick in the process. But atleast the worst part is over…

By August 10th and 11th, the sky becomes highly activated. Mercury, Venus, Mars, Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, and the lunar nodes form a web of conversations, revelations, attractions, disruptions, and turning points. This is where the ride begins to pick up speed. Information may come quickly, and trying to process it all could feel like attempting to hold sand in our hands. The smallest but most important details may slip through the cracks. Conversations can change direction without warning. Relationships may deepen, complicate, or reveal another layer. Something that once appeared straightforward may suddenly come with hidden clauses, emotional subtext, or an entirely different plot. The air is full of possibility, but it’s not especially interested in keeping anything predictable.

At the center of the month is the Total Solar Eclipse in Leo on August 12th. This eclipse begins a new chapter around identity, creativity, leadership, visibility, courage, and the willingness to become more fully ourselves. Leo asks us to occupy space. To create. To be witnessed. To remember that our lives are not meant to be lived entirely from the sidelines. But with the South Node moving through Leo, we are also being asked to release aspects of performance: the version of ourselves maintained for applause, validation, loyalty, familiarity, or the comfort of people who prefer us predictable or safe.

This New Moon eclipse opens a larger cycle. Rather than trying to force a manifestation or control the outcome, this is a moment to turn inwardly. What do you want the next chapter to feel like? What kind of life would allow you to feel more alive, more honest, and more at home in yourself? You don’t need to have the entire journey mapped out. You only need to recognize which version of yourself is no longer meant to board the next ride.

The second half of August moves through endings, revelations, and sharp course corrections. The Sun and Mercury conjoin the South Node near Regulus, the Heart of the Lion, bringing old narratives around recognition, power, leadership, pride, reputation, and public identity to a head.

This may be the moment when we realize that a role, audience, ambition, or version of success no longer holds the same meaning it once did. Public image is under scrutiny now, and carefully curated personas may begin to crack. Influencers, creators, and public figures may find it harder to hide the motives behind the message, especially when money, sponsorships, or private agendas are involved. The audience is paying attention. Tsk, tsk! Somethings might be released not because they are failing, but because we’ve outgrown the version of ourselves that once needed the applause, the platform, or the approval.

Then, on August 27th, the Partial Lunar Eclipse in Pisces opens up the emotional floodgates. Pisces reminds us that not everything can be solved through effort, strategy, control, or trying harder.

Some things must be felt.

Some things must be grieved.

Some things must be forgiven, surrendered, or allowed to dissolve.

This is the point on the ride when our stomach drops and we can no longer pretend we are in control. The only option is to breathe, loosen our grip, and trust that the track continues even when we cannot see where it’s taking us. August teaches us when to act, when to revise, when to speak, and when to surrender. That every disruption isn’t a disaster. Some are redirections. Not every ending is a failure. Some endings are just evidence that a particular chapter has completed. Call it karma, call it fate, or call it cosmic realignment. Either way, the future may not arrive in the form we expected. It may arrive as a changed plan, an uncomfortable truth, an unexpected invitation, a surprising connection, or the realization that we can no longer keep performing a life we have already outgrown.

This month may toss us around a little. It may challenge our sense of control and reroute us toward something we could not have planned from where we were standing. But when the ride slows and we finally step back onto solid ground, we may discover that we are not the same people who climbed aboard. Our hearts are still pounding. Our eyes are open. And we’re ready for what comes next.

How This Is Manifesting Collectively.

Collectively, August reflects a world caught between the collapse of familiar structures and the urgent pressure to imagine what comes next.

The global news cycle is already relentless. Political instability, economic uncertainty, technological upheaval, environmental crisis, and shifting alliances are arriving faster than many people can emotionally process them. At a certain point, the nervous system taps out. People look away, numb out, scroll past, binge-watch, meme scroll, shop, sleep, or find whatever small ritual helps them feel human again.

Uranus in Gemini keeps the information moving at full speed, but constant access doesn’t mean constant exposure is healthy. We’re not meant to absorb every headline, every update, every tragedy, and every opinion in real time. Part of navigating this transit is learning when to stay informed and when to close the app, step outside, touch some grass, and let the body catch up with the mind. You owe it to your nervous system to know when enough is enough.

The Leo–Aquarius nodal axis speaks directly to the tension between concentrated power and collective participation. Leo can symbolize leaders, governments, public figures, extreme nationalism, public spectacle, and authority centered around one dominant personality. Aquarius speaks to networks, movements, technology, social organization, and the wider public.

With the South Node moving through Leo and the North Node in Aquarius, the focus begins to shift away from idolizing one leader, one public figure, or one personality as the answer to everything.

This transit exposes how much of our world is built on image, loyalty, hierarchy, and consumerism. Everything has a slogan. Everything has a paid partnership, a brand strategy, or some kind of tech backing. At a certain point, we have to admit that we are being sold a version of life that no longer works for this timeline.

The real shift is learning to look past the person at the center and pay attention to the structures holding them there: the institutions, money, influence, networks, and communities that make that power possible.

August points us toward a more shared model of leadership. The future will be shaped through collaboration, organized communities, collective responsibility, and people who are willing to stand in their power instead of waiting for someone else to save the day.

Economic pressures are also woven through the month. Chiron stationing retrograde in Taurus places symbolic emphasis on material security, resources, land, food, energy, and the body. Current geopolitical conflict and disruption around the Strait of Hormuz have already strained energy markets and shipping, while the IMF has lowered its 2026 global growth forecast and raised its inflation projection amid higher energy costs.

The Chiron aspects reveal what happens when the systems designed to create stability become sources of vulnerability. August may amplify conversations around affordability, fuel prices, supply chains, labor, housing, food security, and who bears the cost when governments and institutions make high-level decisions.

The Uranian activity in Gemini point to technology, communication, transportation, information systems, and the battle over who controls emerging infrastructure. Governments are allegedly tightening restrictions around artificial intelligence, semiconductor access, robotics, cybersecurity, and technological dependence.

At the end of August, Mercury and the Sun square Uranus, and the collective nervous system may feel completely overloaded. News can break quickly. Technology may glitch. Travel plans can change at the last minute. Policies, statements, or private information may suddenly become public, and the conversation can shift before anyone has had time to understand what actually happened. This is the kind of astrology where one headline hits the internet, everyone reacts, and three hours later we find out half the details were wrong. Very Gemini. Very Uranus. Very exhausting.

The Pisces lunar eclipse brings a crisis of discernment. Pisces rules the oceans, blurred boundaries, collective emotion, spirituality, sacrifice, and the stories people reach for when the world feels uncertain. My concern is how quickly emotional narratives can spread before the facts have caught up.

This Lunar Eclipse may bring more attention to the very real human cost of prolonged instability: people being forced from their homes, communities living without safety, institutions failing the people who depend on them, and everyone trying to make sense of suffering through whatever beliefs or stories they can hold onto.

It’s the kind of eclipse that can hit the heart hard. We may feel overwhelmed by how much is happening at once and unsure where our help can actually make a difference. No one person can carry every crisis, but that doesn’t mean our compassion is useless. It means we have to be honest about what we can hold, where we can show up, and how to stay human without burning ourselves out.

Chiron in Taurus brings the conversation back to the body. Collective wounds are not abstract. They show up in the price of food, climate disruptions, access to clean water, the safety of the land, housing insecurity, and the ability to rest without fearing what comes next.

August may feel like one crisis after another, but it’s also an eye-opening month. We are being shown where the systems are failing, where the stories no longer hold, and where change can no longer be postponed.

Thankfully, Jupiter trine Saturn at the end of the month gives us something solid to work with. It supports practical planning, mature leadership, meaningful agreements, and structures capable of holding real growth. The cosmos won’t drop a miracle into our laps, but they can offer perspective, direction, and a clearer sense of how to meet these challenges with responsibility.

Pluto moves out of bounds on August 12th and remains there until December 10th, intensifying the pressure for reform. Power structures, institutions, and systems that have avoided accountability may become harder to ignore. This period calls for action, courage, and a willingness to rebuild what is no longer working.

August reminds us that history isn’t shaped only by the people standing at podiums, we already did that with Pluto in Capricorn and look where that got us. We have to remember that history is also shaped by communities, workers, organizers, artists, journalists, scientists, caregivers, and ordinary people deciding what they will continue to support and what they are no longer willing to accept!

The old world may be making a lot of noise as it resists change. The new one is being built more quietly through networks, conversations, communities, and everyday choices that may not look historic until much later. Stay strong. August opens our eyes so we can see what needs to change and begin reforming the systems that are failing us.

Fate Redirects Us, Yet Again.

August 10th and 11th carry some of the most intricate chart patterns of the month. A Kite, Mystic Rectangle, and several Wedge formations emerge across the early degrees of Leo, Libra, Aquarius, Gemini, and Aries, linking Mercury, Venus, Pluto, Uranus, and Neptune into one highly active cosmic circuit.

Don’t get too excited now - fate isn’t arriving with trumpets, a handwritten prophecy, and a perfectly organized five-point plan. Fate arrives as information. A conversation changes direction. A person mirrors something you can no longer ignore. A sudden idea reveals another option. A relationship exposes the gap between what you hoped was true and what is actually sustainable.

These are signatures that creates openings, and like new opportunity these require participation. Mercury in Leo carries the message. Venus in Libra reveals what the message means for our relationships, values, choices, money, and sense of fairness. Uranus in Gemini interrupts the existing script, because why wouldn’t it. Neptune retrograde in Aries dissolves the fantasy we’ve been trying to force into form. Pluto retrograde in Aquarius uncovers the deeper truth beneath the entire situation.

All together, this can feel like the universe taking the little map you carefully drew for yourself, lighting it on fire, and handing you a new one before you’ve even finished processing what just happened. The new route may look unfamiliar, inconvenient, or completely different from what you planned. Why? Because the old map isn’t able to take you where you’re actually meant to go.

The Wedges.

A Wedge gives the tension of an opposition and helps direct that tension in a very specific way. On August 10th, Venus in Libra opposes Neptune retrograde in Aries, exposing where idealization, longing, or projection has blurred the truth in relationships, money, and desire. Mercury in Leo becomes the little passage way through. The answer may come from saying what we want, asking the direct questions, or finally admitting what we already know.

Another Wedge links Mercury in Leo, Pluto retrograde in Aquarius, and Uranus in Gemini. Mercury opposite Pluto can reveal secrets, control issues, buried feelings, or loaded conversations. Uranus offers the breakthrough through new information, an unexpected conversation, or a completely different way of thinking. Now matter how you slice it, old conversations or ideals aren’t capable of creating a new result with these transits. We have to pivot.

The Kite.

The Kite links Pluto, Uranus, Mercury, and Venus, creating momentum around power, communication, relationships, creativity, and change. This can bring a sudden idea, an important introduction, unexpected relationship clarity, a message gaining attention, or a conversation that changes the entire plan. Several unrelated moments may suddenly appear connected and it might blow your mind.

With Pluto involved, the opportunities may require real honesty and transformation. This may not fit neatly into your current life. Your life may need to rearrange itself around what is being introduced, so make room!

The Mystic Rectangle.

The Mystic Rectangle connects Pluto retrograde in Aquarius, Neptune retrograde in Aries, Mercury in Leo, and Venus in Libra. Mercury brings the message. Venus reveals what it means for our relationships and values. Neptune brings the dream. Pluto reveals the truth underneath it.

This pattern helps us hold two truths at once. Dual beliefs, my favorite thing to explore and I’m not being facetious. We can love someone and know the dynamic has to change. We can believe in a dream and admit the current plan is not working. We can want peace and still bring up the disruptions or irritations.

This is where things feel especially fated. We may finally understand why we’ve experienced several delays post Full Moon in Aquarius, why our relationships shifted or changed, or why a particular truth can no longer be avoided. This might feel like a harsh truth but also give yourself time to process. Post eclipse you’ll realize why this was a blessing in disguise.

Another Wedge…

By August 11th, the Wedge between Mercury in Leo, Venus in Libra, and Pluto retrograde in Aquarius makes the redirection feel even more personal. I know—you’re probably wondering how this month can possibly get more intense. But we are in Leo season, moving through the Jupiter-ruled second decan. Go big or go home.

Mercury opposite Pluto can make conversations feel loaded, while Venus offers a way through with honesty, fairness, reciprocity, creativity, or clear decisions. This isn’t the time to beat around the bush. Say what you mean, ask for what you need, and stop hoping everyone will magically read between the lines. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel, but getting there will require some major honesty.

When Fate Redirects Us

These formations arrive only two days before the Leo solar eclipse, making August 10th and 11th feel like an initiation into the six-month eclipse story ahead. The conversations, revelations, introductions, and disruptions happening now may be setting the stage for what comes next.

Pay attention to what suddenly changes direction, what arrives out of nowhere, and what becomes impossible to keep ignoring. Fate doesn’t always remove the power of choice. Sometimes it changes the circumstances so completely that the real choice finally becomes blatantly obvious.

The road may change and you might even feel like you’re lost. You have to trust the new route because it’s leading you toward a life that’s aligned with who you’re becoming.

Now that we are moving through so much Aquarian energy, it is worth slowing down and considering what Aquarius actually means. Aquarius is often reduced to “the weird one,” the outcast, the rebel, or the person standing outside the room looking in. There is some truth in that, but it’s not entirely true. Aquarius isn’t different simply for the sake of being different. Aquarius is concerned with the collective: the systems we live inside, the communities we build, the future we are moving toward, and the ideas that shape the greater whole.

At their best, Aquarians are humanitarians, originals, visionaries, and intellectually independent thinkers. They aren’t interested in accepting an idea simply because it has always been accepted. They need to understand the architecture beneath it. They question the rule, trace the pattern, look for the flaw in the system, and form their own conclusions, even when those conclusions separate them from the group. Enter the outsider…

Aquarius may become “othered” because it sees what the group has normalized but no longer questions. It notices when a system is outdated, when a social agreement is dishonest, or when the future is being built from values that belong to the past. Its difference is often a consequence of perception. Once you see the fault line, it becomes difficult to behave as though the ground is stable. Aquarian energy is also full of paradox. It can be deeply social and intensely private. It may care about humanity while struggling with the intimacy of one-on-one connection. It can crave freedom and still remain attached to its routines. It may love movement, travel, discovery, and new ideas, then retreat for days while remaining connected to the world through a screen, a group chat, or the steady hum of their Reddit community.

Aquarius can imagine a better society while feeling overwhelmed by the one that already exists. It may prefer to design its own version of utopia rather than remain trapped inside a reality that feels irrational, cruel, or unnecessarily limiting. But Aquarius has a shadow. When it becomes too detached, the collective becomes an abstraction instead of something made of actual people. Ideas can become more important than feelings. The future can become more seductive than the present. We can become so committed to being objective, progressive, informed, or independent that we lose contact with the heart of what we are trying to protect. That’s why Leo stands across the zodiac. Leo reminds Aquarius that every collective is made of individuals with bodies, emotions, needs, stories, and real lives. The future is not built through systems and ideas alone. It is built through courage, warmth, presence, and the willingness to care visibly.

This is the paradoxical terrain illuminated by the Aquarius Full Moon, also known as the Full Buck Moon. This lunation brings our attention to the places where we have shaped ourselves around the expectations of a group, an audience, a relationship, or a cultural ideal. It also reveals where we’ve become so protective of our individuality that we have forgotten our responsibility to one another.

The lesson is not to choose Leo over Aquarius, or the self over the collective. It’s to understand how the two depend on each other. We are being asked to care about the greater whole without abandoning the individual people directly in front of us.

Just as bucks shed and regrow their antlers each year, we arrive at this Full Moon ready to release an old version of ourselves. There is a desire to grow, become more visible, take up more space, and step into a larger version of who we are without leaving the pack behind. As I like to say, “If I eat, we all eat.” Because this lunation reveals who truly wants to see everyone win, and who is only invested in their own place at the table.

Aspects on Aspects.

The Full Moon perfects at 6°30′ Aquarius only days after Saturn stations retrograde at 14°45′ Aries and the North Node enters Aquarius. In other words, this lunation wants to make quite an entrance. It feels like an opening scene of a trilogy series; it’s our first glimpse of a larger karmic storyline that will continue unfolding along the Aquarius–Leo nodal axis. At the heart of the story is the difference between being accepted and truly belonging.

The Moon in Aquarius asks us to step outside the identities, expectations, and social arrangements that have defined us. Aquarius governs friendship, community, technology, collective movements, social ecosystems, and the parts of us that refuse to be contained by convention. It wants freedom, but not freedom merely for the thrill of escape. It wants enough distance from the old world to imagine another one.

Across the sky, the Sun and Jupiter in Leo want to know if we can become part of something larger without abandoning our heart and soul. Leo wants to live vividly. It wants to create, lead, love, play, express, and be seen. Aquarius asks whether the life we are creating has meaning beyond applause. This isn’t a battle in which one sign must win. No one needs to be voted off the zodiac, lol. It’s more of an initiation. We need a more honest relationship between individuality and belonging.

The Aquarius Moon is joined by Pluto, giving this lunation its psychological depth and emotional gravity. We may recognize that we’ve been participating in a life that appears aligned from the outside but no longer feels alive from within. Pluto won’t expose truths to create chaos, it only reveals what has become too costly to continue carrying unconsciously.

This may look like realizing you are exhausted by a role everyone praises you for playing. A community you once loved may no longer reflect your values. A friendship may reveal an unspoken power dynamic. A creative or professional path may begin to feel more like performance than purpose. You may finally understand why you have felt disconnected, restless, resentful, or unable to envision your future. Sometimes liberation begins as discomfort because the life that no longer fits is still familiar. The old costume may be restrictive, but at least we know where the zipper is.

Opposite the Moon and Pluto are the Sun, Jupiter, and Psyche in Leo. Under this Full Moon, we may become acutely aware of where we have been seeking applause as proof of worth. We may feel overlooked, under appreciated, excluded, or insufficiently celebrated. Something may tempt us toward an extravagant gesture, emotional declaration, dramatic exit, inflated promise, or very public attempt to prove that we matter.

Psyche’s presence in Leo takes the question deeper. Psyche represents the soul-self beneath the performance: the tender part of us that wants to be recognized not only for what we produce, offer, achieve, or embody, but for who we are when there is nothing left to prove. This Full Moon may touch an older wound around visibility. A current event may awaken memories of not being chosen, celebrated, understood, protected, or permitted to shine. We may recognize how much of our personality was constructed around earning attention or avoiding rejection. Perhaps you learned to become exceptional so you could feel safe. Perhaps you became useful, entertaining, impressive, accommodating, beautiful, intelligent, or fiercely self-sufficient because you feared that simply being yourself would not be enough. The Full Moon reveals pain point; not to shame the performance, but to release the performer from a role that has become too small for the soul.

A Future Waiting to Receive Us.

The Full Moon sits within an Astrological Cradle involving the Moon, Sun, Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune. (Jupiter 6° 25′ Leo, Moon 6° 30′ Aquarius, Neptune 4° 17′ Aries, Sun 6° 39′ Leo, and Uranus 4° 55′ Gemini) A Cradle is built around an opposition, but unlike an opposition that leaves us feeling forced to choose between two extremes, the surrounding trines and sextiles create support, movement, and the possibility of integration. The opposition shows us the tension. The harmonious aspects offer somewhere for that tension to go.

The Leo–Aquarius opposition gives us the central conflict: individual expression versus collective belonging, heart versus future, visibility versus authenticity.

Uranus in Gemini and Neptune in Aries form the supporting arms of the Cradle.

Uranus in Gemini brings new information, new connections, and entirely new ways of understanding our story. It may arrive as a conversation that changes everything, an unexpected invitation, a chance encounter, or a realization so sudden that the old narrative can no longer contain it. Uranus doesn’t always shake us out of the external situation immediately. Sometimes it changes the mind so that it cannot keep recreating the same situation.

Under this lunation, freedom may mean something entirely different. We may face what we have been avoiding, find the root of our issues, and finally admit that we’ve changed. Allowing yourself to imagine an option that didn’t exist, or that you previously refused to consider.

Neptune in Aries introduces this “other” possibility, it wants us to envision a new identity that we have not tapped into before. And it you are familiar with “future self” meditation practices, you will only envision a “future timeline” that is actually possible. This can feel disorienting because you might have some major deja-vu during this lunation. It’s going to feel really weird because you might not have the complete plan or vision, but you know you can’t return to the old one. And please don’t make a five year plan on how to manifest this new self. We are just getting started here. The Cradle on the Full Moon isn’t a dead end, it’s a container for birth. Something new is reaching for us, but we have to stop asking it to look like anything we’ve known before.

The Wound Beneath

At the same time, the Sun/Moon opposition forms a T-square with Chiron in Taurus. (Chiron 0° 51′ Taurus, Jupiter 6° 25′ Leo, Moon 6° 30′ Aquarius, Pluto 4° 13′ Aquarius). The Cradle shows us what’s possible, a glimpse of the future, if you will. This lovely little T-square shows us why moving toward it may feel more painful than exciting.

Chiron in Taurus reveals where the body still associates authenticity with danger. One idea I carried with me from reading The Big Leap is that we often find ways to retreat when we are approaching the edge of something unfamiliar. Think about it: have you ever become anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, or suddenly convinced that everything is a terrible idea right before beginning something new?

The mind can imagine the open door. The nervous system, meanwhile, may still be three rooms away, clutching the furniture. We don’t always fear “the new” because it’s wrong for us. Sometimes we fear it because we have no evidence that we will survive on the other side. The familiar may be uncomfortable, limiting, or even deeply unsatisfying, but at least it is known. The next chapter is not.

This is why so many of us stop just before the leap into what is called our “Genius Era.” The soul may already know where it wants to go, but the body may need more time, safety, and reassurance before it is willing to follow. Chiron isn’t asking us to recklessly demolish our foundations. It’s quite the contrary, he is asking us to examine them. Is our relationships with money, self-worth, food, rest, housing, work, the body, and material security actually supporting us? Or have these things become emotionally unsustainable? These attachments, safety blankets, and vices may make the house look beautiful from the outside, but they can’t repair a foundation that’s already cracking. Stability isn’t always safety; sometimes it’s simply the structure we’ve learned to survive inside.

And Now to Reveal A Deeper Truth

I told you, this Full Moon is going all the way in, because we can’t move into the future while still gripping the past. This lunation also forms sesquisquares to Venus in Virgo and Mars in Gemini. This is the kind of tension that builds quietly in the background until someone asks an innocent question and suddenly receives the entire emotional history of the relationship. We’ve all been there before…

Venus in Virgo notices what’s not working, while Mars in Gemini adds mental and verbal agitation. There may be competing narratives, reactive messages, overstimulation, oversharing, or the urge to solve an emotional problem through bulldozing or sending the message before we’ve fully understood what we are trying to say.

Because these are sesquisquares rather than direct squares or oppositions, the tension may not arrive head-on. Someone may come at you sideways, or a seemingly small comment may be carrying something much larger underneath it. Remember, anger often protects the part of us that feels unseen, undervalued, or unsafe. Try to leave room for what’s really being expressed underneath a reaction. You may have the perspective someone else needs, or they may be holding the answer you’ve been looking for.

Fate Takes Form.

As the day progresses the Moon moves through Aquarius, and then applies a sextile with Saturn retrograde in Aries. This is incredibly important because the Full Moon’s revelation isn’t left floating in the ethers. Saturn Retrograde arrives with a clipboard and asks what we intend to do about it.

A sextile offers opportunity, but it requires participation. It won’t force the door open. It shows us where the door is and waits to see whether we are willing to walk through it. Saturn’s journey in Aries is teaching us how to give structure to this new identity.

Saturn is also in a fire trine with the Great Attractor in Sagittarius. Astronomically, the Great Attractor describes a region of immense gravitational pull toward which galaxies, including our own, are moving. Its full nature remains partly obscured. Astrologically, it can be understood as a kind of truth-lure: a force that draws us toward a larger trajectory before the rational mind fully understands why. The Full Moon reveals our emotional truths and desires. Saturn asks us to take responsibility for it. The Great Attractor pulls us toward the road that our truth has opened. This is why the lunation may feel like fate playing its hand.

A person, realization, offer, ending, conversation, or desire may carry unusual gravity. We may feel drawn toward something that doesn’t yet make complete sense. At the same time, we may feel increasingly repelled by a life that once seemed acceptable or a part of our dream. The Great Attractor’s pull doesn’t eliminate free will. Nothing in Astrology overrides free will, that’s why it’s called FREE WILL. This wonderful aspect presents the Sagittarius paradox: we may be summoned toward a path, but we still decide how consciously we answer. Fate may make the old life impossible to ignore. Choice determines whether we continue living it.

Saturn’s involvement means that this pull is not merely romantic, intoxicating, or abstract. Something wants to take shape. A commitment, boundary, practice, decision, responsibility, or courageous act may be required. The path may call to us before it feels comfortable. So, will you answer with the same mindset, tools, and energy that built the life you are trying to outgrow? Or will you meet this moment as the person you are becoming? Pluto, Jupiter, and Neptune can all magnify projection. Saturn provides us with a test. Because a genuine calling will not only excite you, it asks something of you.

Signs Most Impacted

Everyone. Seriously. I am not joking here, I am dead serious…

We will all feel this lunation in some area of our lives, but the fixed signs are standing directly beneath the spotlight. Why? Because fixed signs are often the last to release what they have committed to, even when they already know the season has changed. Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, and Scorpio don’t necessarily enjoy disruption, but once they accept that change is necessary, they know how to endure it. That is the fixed-sign paradox: resistance first, total transformation later.

Fixed Signs: Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, and Scorpio

Those with personal planets or angles between approximately 0° and 8° of the fixed signs may experience the Full Moon and its T-square most directly.

Aquarius and Leo placements stand at the center of the revelation. Questions of identity, visibility, creativity, leadership, friendship, belonging, and community may come to the surface. You don’t have to burn every bridge, abandon every responsibility, or reinvent your entire life overnight. But you may need to stop carrying what belongs to a chapter that has already ended. It’s time to walk out of the rooms that required you to shrink. Make space for the ones where your becoming is not merely tolerated, but welcomed with open arms.

Under this Full Moon, trust that becoming more fully yourself brings you into deeper alignment; with your purpose, your people, and the future you are here to help create. As you step toward what feels alive and true, you make it easier for others to do the same. Your courage becomes permission. Your growth becomes contribution. Your becoming is not separate from the collective; it is part of how the collective evolves.

Walk toward the people and communities that recognize what you carry. Walk toward the future that has been reaching for you. You are not leaving others behind by choosing alignment! You are finding the place from which you can contribute more fully, uplift more freely, and help build a world where there is room for everyone to rise. When one of us becomes more fully embodied, we all gain access to a larger future. If one of us wins, we all win.

I remember writing in both my Leo Season post and The Astrology of July that the astrological weather from July 19th onward would be intense. Even that may have been an understatement. It’s been one hit after another, with barely enough time to catch our breath before the next transit arrives.

Right now, many of us are in a chrysalis phase. By the time we reach the solar eclipse on August 12th, we may be ready to emerge; slightly disoriented, wings still wet, and certainly not prepared to fly in a straight line, but aware that we’ve been permanently changed.

This is a Sun-ruled year, which helps explain why so much of what is shifting relates to identity, purpose, visibility, and the courage to become more fully ourselves. But with the lunar nodes now changing signs, the story expands beyond personal transformation. We can’t ignore the fact that we aren’t evolving alone. The world around us is changing rapidly, and we are changing with it.

On July 26th, 2026, the lunar nodes enter a new axis and open another collective chapter. The North Node moves into Aquarius while the South Node enters Leo, shifting our evolutionary focus from personal recognition toward shared progress. We go from standing alone in the spotlight to understanding our place within the collective.

The North Node represents appetite, increase, purpose, and the unfamiliar territory we are being asked to explore. The South Node represents familiarity, release, inherited wisdom, past-life patterns, and the gifts we already know how to use; even though we may not use them in their healthiest form.

For the next eighteen months, Aquarius becomes the direction of growth and focus. Our attention turns toward community, collaboration, innovation, and a sense of purpose that reaches beyond personal success. Our evolution is no longer solely about who we are becoming, but about what we are capable of creating together.

So this doesn’t mean individuality has been cancelled. Rather, we are being asked to reconnect with the truest expression of our individuality; the part of us that does not require constant applause, appreciation, or validation to know that we are fully alive.

Aquarius reminds us that no one can create the future alone. Leo brings us back to the heart: to our true desires, our creative fire, and the courage to be seen. Together, they ask whether what we desire can serve the wider kingdom, or whether we have simply mistaken the ego’s demands for destiny.

The Lessons and Blessings from Pisces/Virgo.

The North Node in Pisces and South Node in Virgo taught us that not everything can be fixed, perfected, or organized into submission. We learned where control had become a coping mechanism, where usefulness had become our identity, and where our endless self-improvement projects were starting to feel suspiciously like punishment. Virgo gave us discernment. Pisces gave us faith. One showed us what needed tending; the other reminded us that some things can only be surrendered.

And even though the nodes change signs on July 26th, this story is not quite over. Between now and the lunar eclipse in Virgo on February 20th, 2027, the final eclipse on this axis, we begin gathering the gifts of the past eighteen months. This can manifest as a deeper trust in our intuition, a faith that no longer depends on having every answer, and a more honest relationship with our bodies that have been carrying us through it all. We may become better at recognizing what feels aligned before we can explain why, listening when our bodies ask us to slow down, and releasing what we have been forcing long after our spirit quietly said, enough. This is the closing chapter, the part where the lesson is finally understood and the universe reveals what all that confusion was apparently for.

From the Spotlight to the Collective

With the South Node moving through Leo, we may become more aware of how exhausting it can be to always feel watched, evaluated, or expected to perform.

Leo rules creativity, visibility, romance, pleasure, confidence and the very human desire to feel special. At its best, Leo is warm, generous, brave, and full of life. It gives us the courage to make something, love something, and proudly put our name on it.

But the South Node has a way of showing us when a strength has become a reflex. In Leo, that can look like ego dressed up as confidence, attention mistaken for love, or visibility becoming a requirement rather than a choice.

Over the next eighteen months, we may begin releasing the need to be the most important person in every room. We may lose interest in relationships built on admiration instead of equality, creative work shaped more by applause than truth, and leadership that depends on everyone remaining loyal to one personality.

We may also start questioning the pressure to constantly perform, post, and prove that we are still relevant. Not every meal needs photographic evidence. Not every private thought needs to become an instagram post or update. Some things are allowed to belong only to us.

The spotlight isn’t the problem, it’s believing that nothing meaningful exists outside of it.

Aquarius widens the frame. It turns our attention from the solo performer to the collective: the friendships, networks, communities, and shared ideas that make real change possible. It favors work that can circulate, systems that can evolve, and movements that don’t collapse the moment a charismatic founder leaves the spotlight.

The North Node in Aquarius reminds us that our gifts were never meant to prove we are special. They are meant to be shared, to matter, and to create something better beyond ourselves.

The Rise and Risk of Collective Intelligence.

Aquarius is associated with groups, social movements, technology, innovation, future thinking and the circulation of ideas. Its terrain includes the eleventh-house themes of friendship, community, social awareness, humanitarianism and our hopes for what the future might become. I love seeing the posts about this being the dawn of a new Utopia, but for whom?

Aquarius is not ruled by one impulse alone. Traditionally, it is ruled by Saturn, the planet of structure, responsibility and systems. In modern astrology, it is also associated with Uranus, the planet of disruption, rebellion, and radical change. Aquarius carries both: the urge to break the rules and the responsibility to build something better in their place.

Over the coming eighteen months, important developments may emerge through community-led organizations, mutual-aid networks, cooperative projects, alternative education, digital ecosystems, scientific innovation, and collective resistance to centralized power. I mean, we are already seeing this play out in real time because of that eclipse opening the axis point on February 17th, 2026. Remember energy doesn’t start or stop, it creeps in slowly.

And of course, everything has a shadow side. The North Node, “the hunger”can become excess. In Aquarius, that can look like chasing progress for the sake of progress, worshipping technology, and treating the group as morally superior to the individual. Communities can become rigid. Movements can become punitive. Consensus can turn into groupthink. A system can call itself decentralized and still recreate the same power dynamics in a sleek new package.

Aquarius is not automatically utopian because someone added community, disruption, and innovation to the pitch deck. A decentralized platform can still hoard power. A movement can preach freedom while punishing dissent. A tech company can promise connection while quietly turning everyone into data points. The future is not progressive simply because it comes with cleaner branding.

Saturn reminds us that the future needs ethics, boundaries, and accountability. Uranus reminds us that outdated systems still need to be challenged. One without the other creates problems. Rebellion without structure burns out and structure without freedom becomes another gilded cage.

This is why Jupiter’s journey through Leo matters so much during the first year of this transit. Jupiter moves alongside the South Node by sign, offering protection, confidence, and generosity to the Leo side of the axis. It helps preserve what is still noble and necessary in Leo: heart, creativity, courage, joy and the right to be fully oneself!

The South Node doesn’t want us to abandon those gifts. Jupiter makes that very clear. It protects the heart while the ego is being edited in real time.

For the first year of this nodal cycle, we aren’t being asked to disappear into the collective, or flatten ourselves into social castes. This isn’t Brave New World. We are being given time to understand which parts of our identity are authentic and which parts have been built around applause, control, or the need to remain central. We need to build communities strong enough to hold individuality, brave enough to question themselves, and spacious enough for people to remain fully human.

That’s One Hell of an Entrance…

Can you believe all these aspects to the Nodes happen on the same day?! What a cosmic entrance. So lets unpack this.

North Node in Aquarius Semisquare Saturn in Aries

The North Node enters Aquarius in a close semisquare to Saturn, creating immediate friction between individual freedom and collective responsibility. Saturn’s message is simple: inspiration is not enough! Communities need agreements. Movements need better strategies. Big ideas need better foundations.

With Saturn in Aries, people may demand complete freedom for themselves while expecting loyalty and accountability from everyone else. Convenient, but this is highly unsustainable. This aspect calls for mature autonomy, the courage to act for ourselves without pretending our choices don’t affect anybody else. Good intentions alone can’t carry this cycle. What lasts will be built by people willing to practice what they preach.

South Node in Leo Sesquiquadrate Saturn In Aries

July 26th, 2026 | South Node at 29° Leo; Saturn at 14°45 Aries

The South Node enters Leo in a close sesquiquadrate to Saturn, exposing the exhaustion of always being the strong one, the leader, or the person holding everything together. Authority may reveal itself as control. Leaders may discover that being indispensable is not the same as being effective. Institutions built around one personality may struggle when that person can no longer carry the whole production. Shared leadership doesn’t make us powerless; it makes the work sustainable.

The South Node also enters Leo in a close trine to Chiron, opening a softer path around recognition, the body, and self-worth.

Many of us learned to earn love by being talented, beautiful, being useful, or impressive. Chiron in Taurus brings us back to a quieter truth: we were worthy before we produced, performed, or were admired. Life is meaningful even when it unfolds beyond the spotlight. Our worth is something we carry within us, not something an audience gets to decide.

South Node Quincunx Scheat

July 26th, 2026 | South Node at 29° Leo; Scheat near 29° Pisces

The shadow of Leo can cling to relevance through spectacle; one last speech, one final sacrifice, one unnecessary season finale. We may see people or institutions choose destruction rather than surrender control.. Sometimes courage looks like accepting that the story has ended. Leave the stage. Go home. Touch some grass.

Jupiter Oppositions: A Shield For Your Heart.

• February 22nd, 2027: Jupiter retrograde at 20°32 Leo opposes the North Node at 20°32 Aquarius.

• April 23rd, 2027: Jupiter direct at 17°10 Leo opposes the North Node at 17°10 Aquarius.

Jupiter spends the first year of this nodal cycle in Leo, reminding us that the heart still matters. Our joy, courage, creativity, and desire to be seen are not problems to solve. They are part of what makes us human. What changes is how we use them.

Jupiter can make everything bigger, including the ego. It can amplify celebrity culture, entitlement, and leaders who mistake confidence for wisdom. It can also tempt us to believe that being visible means being valuable, or that taking up space requires taking it away from someone else. But Jupiter’s deeper role here is to protect what is true in Leo while the South Node clears what is performative. Our light becomes a place others can gather.

The Collective Forecast.

The Aquarius–Leo axis chapter isn’t going to be sunshine and roses. Who said the path to Utopia was easy? This axis speaks through governments, markets, technology, culture, weather events, and the systems that connect us or fail us.

Previous North Node in Aquarius cycles unfolded from May 23rd, 1989 to November 18th, 1990, and December 19th, 2007 to August 21st, 2009. Both periods promised power to the people, but the systems absorbed the uprising and kept some form of control. And now here we are…

The 1989–1990 cycle coincided with mass movements across Eastern Europe, the fall of the Berlin Wall and the weakening of governments that had appeared immovable. The 2007–2009 cycle brought the Great Recession, exposing how quickly the failure of a few powerful institutions could spread through an interconnected global economy. Both very different events. Same underlying pattern: those in power could no longer pretend they were separate from the people carrying the system. Astrology doesn’t repeat history word for word. It repeats the tension until we find a solution.

With the South Node in Leo, personality-driven politics can reach a breaking point. The spectacle gets louder and bigger. Blind loyalty becomes more demanding. This is what power looks like when it knows its losing it’s grip.

This axis has historically coincided with the weakening, and at times the fall of dictators, autocrats and leaders who built entire systems around their own delusional image and vision. Leo concentrates power into one singular figure. Aquarius redistributes it through the network. The ruler becomes less untouchable once the crowd remembers its strength. We may see leaders rely more heavily on performance, propaganda, and emotional theater. Treating criticism as betrayal and institutions as extensions of their personal authority. The louder the cult mentality becomes, the more clearly its instability shows.

Meanwhile, the North Node in Aquarius strengthens grassroots movements, union and labor organization, digital activism, mutual-aid networks, and decentralized coalitions. Political power can move through group chats, workplaces, neighborhoods, and online communities before institutions even realize what is happening.

People care less about who delivers the speech and more about whether anything improves afterward. Power shifts when we stop waiting for one person to save us and start building leverage together.

The Aquarius–Leo axis may expose the tension between concentrated wealth and shared resources. Leo favors luxury and visible displays of power. With Jupiter traveling through Leo during the first year of this cycle, spending, branding, and larger-than-life financial behavior may become even more pronounced. Markets may reward confidence and bold narratives, sometimes before reality has had time to review the numbers.

Aquarius brings attention to systems: banking networks, digital currencies, automation, labor movements, and the economic consequences of technological change.

We may see growing pressure around wealth inequality, access to housing, employment disruption, and who benefits from innovation. Cooperative business models, unions, online marketplaces, and alternative financial networks may gain momentum as people search for ways to survive outside systems that no longer feel safe. The economy may continue teaching the same inconvenient lesson: numbers on a screen are never separate from the people trying to pay rent.

Aquarius may be an air sign, but under this axis, the weather becomes part of the collective story; revealing how climate, infrastructure and access to resources are all connected. Extreme or unusual weather patterns may reveal weaknesses in infrastructure, especially where systems are outdated, centralized, or poorly maintained. Power grids, communication networks, transportation systems, and water access may become part of the larger collective conversation.

Weather events can expose inequality quickly. The storm may be shared, but the ability to evacuate, rebuild, or recover rarely is. The North Node in Aquarius emphasizes coordination. Communities may need to rely on local networks, shared resources, emergency communication and, mutual aid when institutions cannot move fast enough. I stressed this in my Yearly Forecast, you need to know your neighbors, your community, and how to navigate without GPS.

Technology, preparation, and human cooperation become part of our same survival systems.

The last Aquarius/Leo nodal cycle brought powerful storms, widespread flooding, dangerous heat, drought, and weather events that pushed public systems beyond their limits. The pattern was less about one specific disaster and more about cascading extremes: water arriving where it could not be contained, heat lingering where people could not escape it, and entire communities discovering how fragile their infrastructure really was. During this new cycle, the weather may once again expose the weak points in power grids, water systems, emergency response, and public leadership. Typically we see the following patterns come into play:

• Tropical cyclones and storm surge.

• Flash floods and widespread river flooding.

• Heat waves and prolonged droughts.

• Severe storms, damaging winds, and tornado outbreaks.

• Compound events; such as extreme heat alongside drought or storms followed by long power and water disruptions.

This is a historical and astrological echo, not a promise that history will repeat itself. What may return is the theme of a collective system test: who receives the warning, whose neighborhood is protected, who loses power, and who is still waiting for help after the cameras leave.

One of the clearest possibilities of this transit is that community stops being treated as a soft concept and becomes a survival strategy. Friendships may become professional networks, caregiving systems, political alliances, and chosen family. Local groups may respond faster than larger institutions. People may pool knowledge, skills, money, transportation, childcare and other resources.

Harmony isn’t guaranteed. Groups can become rigid, punitive, and self-righteous. Preaching liberation while rebuilding the same hierarchy with better branding and imagery. With the North Node in Aquarius alongside Pluto, cult fever can spread through movements, communities, and online spaces just as easily as collective power can. Even so, the path forward is clear: isolation becomes harder to maintain, and cooperation becomes increasingly necessary.

The North Node in Aquarius brings our shared humanity into focus. It asks us to find one another beyond the labels that keep us apart, to build communities around what we are here to protect and create, and to shape technology in service to humanity.

Real change has never belonged to one voice, one generation, or one leader. It lives in the wisdom passed down, the courage rising now, the relationships we tend, the knowledge we share, and the systems we choose to repair together.

Leo gives us the courage to raise our voice. Aquarius reminds us that a chorus can change the world.

When our gifts meet, they become something larger: a network, a movement, a collective awakening. We need to ensure we bring our discernment with us. We can think for ourselves and still stand beside one another. We can question what feels wrong and remain devoted to what is worth building. We can honor the elders, listen to the youth, and make room for the future without erasing the past.

Our power returns when we remember that it was never meant to be handed over completely. It lives in our choices, our participation, our care for one another and our willingness to act. The future is built across generations, through ordinary people choosing to believe that change is still possible, and then choosing to make it real.

Not because Saturn is suddenly handing out easy wins, let’s not get carried away now, but because Saturn remembers who kept going. Who showed up after the excitement wore off. Who stayed committed when progress was slow, uncomfortable, or just downright ugly. Who kept building after everyone else had moved on to something new and shiny.

Saturn’s version of luck is earned. It’s timing finally meeting preparation. It’s the door opening because you’ve spent months developing your skills. It’s the opportunity that arrives after you have already proven, mostly to yourself, that you are capable of handling what comes next. This is the reward for choosing consistency over performance. For tending the foundation instead of disguising the cracks. Saturn doesn’t always reward quickly, but it rewards what’s solid. During this retrograde, those who have genuinely put in the time may begin to see where their effort has created momentum, credibility and staying power. It’s not about working harder. It’s about recognizing the value of what you’ve already built, and realizing that you had the grit and gumption to stay the course until the results finally caught up with your effort.

The opening days of the retrograde carry some friction. Mercury has only recently stationed direct and remains in a square to Saturn through August 1st. The desire to move forward may be strong, but clarity is still returning in waves. Conversations may feel more serious than expected, plans may need another revision, and something we thought was settled may reveal one more truth that needs to be faced. Mercury square Saturn can make the mind feel heavy. It can bring up fear of saying the wrong thing, making the wrong decision, or discovering that we are not as prepared as we hoped. But this aspect isn’t here to create doubt it wants us to think more honestly. To separate anxiety from intuition. To notice where our plans are built on assumption, avoidance, or commitments that were never clearly defined. During this transit, a delay doesn’t equal rejection. Sometimes the pause exists because something important is asking to be understood more fully before we proceed.

This can be a wonderful time to revisit commitments, clarify expectations, and listen for what is unsaid. Mercury square Saturn brings up the conversation, boundary, or responsibility we’ve been avoiding.

By August 4th, Mercury’s trine to Jupiter begins to bring a wider perspective. The atmosphere becomes less confined. A conversation may open, an idea may regain momentum ,or a solution may emerge once we are no longer viewing the situation only through the lens of fear or limitation. Mercury trine Jupiter doesn’t erase the work Saturn has asked of us. It helps us understand why that work truly matters. What first felt like a setback may begin to look like course correction.

Saturn rules time, responsibility, boundaries, maturity and the kind of success that gives your life real stability. It cares less about how things look from the outside and more about whether what you’ve built can actually support you. Saturnian lessons show up in the moments when life gets stressful, uncertain, or disappointing. That’s when you discover which parts of your foundation are solid and which ones still need work. That’s why Saturn transits can feel weighty. They bring us into direct contact with reality and expose what’s been neglected, postponed, or sustained by sheer endurance. Saturn’s deeper purpose can feel like punishment, but he is here to help us build a life that no longer depends on constant survival.

When Saturn turns retrograde, that work becomes more personal. We begin reviewing our ambitions, obligations, reputations, and definitions of success. Old insecurities may surface, especially those tied to worth, failure, and the fear of disappointing others. The pressure to move faster, achieve more, or become a particular version of ourselves becomes harder to ignore. This retrograde helps us separate genuine ambition from inherited pressure, leaving us with a clearer sense of what is truly worth building and why it matters.

The Belly of the Retrograde

Saturn’s retrograde journey moves from 14°45′ Aries back to 7°56′ Aries, taking us from the second decan of Aries back into the first. The retrograde begins in Aries at the second decan, traditionally ruled by the Sun. This is the regal territory of Aries, the part that doesn’t want to follow and but is called to lead, command, create or establish its own path. The associated Tarot card is the Three of Wands, a card that represents expansion, distance, foresight, and liberation from a painful or restrictive past. This can make the retrograde bring up initial concerns of the future we have already imagined. We may have chosen the destination, declared the vision, or stepped into leadership; but Saturn now asks whether our preparation matches our ambition. Were we building a bridge to meet our future self or did we only have our eyes on the horizon?

As Saturn travels backward, it returns to the first decan of Aries, ruled by Mars. It’s the energy of witnessing a birth; the first cry, the first movement, the first assertion of our existence. In Tarot, this is the Two of Wands, symbolizing the threshold between the familiar and the unknown. This card begs us to decide whether we will remain within what is safe (the womb or the nest) or step into a life that has not yet been proven.

Saturn’s return to this point isn’t a demand that we begin again as though nothing has happened. We return carrying the knowledge of the road already traveled. We know more now about the weight of our desires, the cost of our choices, and the structures our future will require. What once felt like hesitation may reveal itself as discernment. What appeared to be a delay may become the sacred pause in which courage finds its bones.

This is the belly of the retrograde: the dark, interior place where vision is stripped of performance and returned to instinct. Here, ambition becomes quieter and more honest. We are asked not only where we are going, but what within us is capable of making the journey. Before the next beginning can emerge, we must tend to its foundation, nourish what is still forming, and decide what we are truly willing to carry on. When Saturn stations direct, the horizon will still be there. But perhaps we will no longer be reaching toward it merely to escape the past or prove that we are ready. We will meet it with steadier hands, a clearer will, and a deeper allegiance to the life asking to be born through us.

The Sabian Symbol: Weaving Security at Sunset

Because Sabian Symbols are traditionally read by rounding up to the next degree, Saturn’s station at 14°45′ Aries is interpreted through 15° Aries:

“An Indian Weaving a Blanket in the Light of the Setting Sun.” The image is quiet, patient, and deeply Saturnian. A blanket is created one thread at a time. It can’t be rushed without weakening its integrity. It offers warmth and protection, but it also carries memory. Patterns, ancestry, experience, and identity are woven into its design.

This symbol reveals that the work of the retrograde may not always appear dramatic. Much of it may unfold through ordinary acts repeated with devotion: keeping a promise, paying a debt, practicing a skill, tending the body, strengthening a boundary, completing unfinished work, or creating a dependable daily rhythm. These gestures may seem small, but over time they become the fabric of life. The setting Sun brings an awareness of time passing. Certain choices can no longer be postponed indefinitely, remember this isn’t about panic or impending loss. It’s an invitation to gather ourselves, honor the hour, and use the remaining light with intention and devotion.

There is dignity in completing the task before us.

There is sacredness in doing a small thing well.

There is protection in the structures we create with our own hands.

The shadow of this symbol appears when routine loses its soul, when we dismiss our contributions as insignificant, or when we work so relentlessly that we forget why the blanket was needed in the first place. Saturn doesn’t necessarily want you to work endlessly. Saturn wants meaningful work: effort shaped by purpose, devotion, and care.

The deeper lesson of this retrograde is that security is not created all at once. It’s woven slowly through the choices repeated each day. Some strands come from the past and still carry wisdom. Others have become too heavy, too worn, or too painful to remain part of the pattern. The work is not to preserve every thread, but to choose consciously what deserves to be carried forward.

By the time the light and retrograde fades, the measure of the work will not be found in how much was accomplished, but in what was made sturdy enough to hold us. The blanket becomes a symbol of earned safety: a life shaped carefully enough that the body can soften, the spirit can settle, and rest no longer feels like something that must be justified.

Saturn and Alpheratz: Freedom Must Become Sustainable

Saturn stations near Alpheratz, a Venusian fixed star associated with grace, independence, recognition, and release from bondage. Positioned at the head of Andromeda, the mythic chained princess, its symbolism is striking beside Saturn, the planet of limits. This isn’t a temporary moment of freedom, this gives you the power to create a life that is rooted in eternal freedom.

This conjunction may expose the roles, obligations, identities, or expectations we’ve outgrown. Remember, Saturn doesn’t encourage escape without understanding. He wants us to study the chain closely enough that we do not recreate it somewhere else. Opportunity may open the door, but Saturn determines whether we are prepared to build a life on the other side. Independence must be supported by emotional, financial, and practical structure. Luck may create the opening, but our readiness allows us to keep what arrives.

The Collective: Crisis, Consequence, and Competence.

And here comes the moment in my post where I get on my little soap box. Saturn retrograde unfolds amid a deepening crisis of sequence. Wars are no longer contained by borders. Decisions made in military chambers move through oil routes, financial markets, food systems, and ordinary households. Military partnerships deepen, conflicts disrupt trade and resources, and choices made in the name of immediate security become structures that other nations, and future generations must learn to inhabit.

This is Saturn in Aries; a decision made in urgency can harden into policy. What began as a temporary response can become a permanent architecture of power.

Neptune in Aries can make people more susceptible to stories about heroism, destiny, and righteous action. This is partially why the movie “The Odyssey” feels more compelling during this transit. This retrograde can blur the line between what feels noble and what’s actually true. Saturn brings us back to the consequences. It looks beyond the story being told and asks us to face how those choices are affecting our real lives. Strong ideals and deep conviction cannot justify harm, nor does it absolve us of responsibility or consequences.

Chiron’s passage into Taurus brings the wound of the earths resources: food, water, land, and the material conditions required to remain alive. The abuse of this earth and the collective become glaringly visible through our strained water systems, contaminated environments, disrupted harvests, unstable markets, and the growing realization that technological progress always has a cost.

The rapid construction of data centers shows us this in real time. The demands on the electrical grids, the water use, cost of land, emissions, and havoc on surrounding ecosystems, often before communities fully understand the long-term cost. Their impact doesn’t stop at the walls of the facility, it goes beyond what we can see, into the water, into the soil, and eventually into our bodies.

Substack’s integration of Pangram, an AI-detection system that allows readers to evaluate whether writing appears machine-generated, has intensified concerns about false judgment, consent, bias, and the quiet authority granted to an algorithm. Writers may find their work reduced to a probability score, while readers are invited to treat that score as evidence of authenticity or deception. The deeper issue isn’t simply whether an algorithm is correct, it’s how quickly its judgment acquires social power.

This same pattern is visible in employment. A major 2026 study examined approximately four million applications submitted by 3.4 million job seekers to 156 employers using algorithms from a single hiring vendor. Applicants were assigned numerical assessments that became recommendations to advance or reject them. Because multiple employers sometimes relied on identical models, a candidate could appear to receive several independent evaluations while encountering the same algorithmic judgment again and again. The assessment results could be retained and reused for as long as 330 days! A person might grow, revise a résumé, gain experience, or even apply for a completely different position! Yet that new application will be met by the old score created months earlier. The research found that applicants were more likely to be rejected everywhere they applied than they would have been if each employer had evaluated them independently. It also found significant adverse outcomes affecting Black, Hispanic, and Asian applicants.

A person may be qualified, capable, and precisely suited to the work, yet never reach the human being capable of recognizing it. Here, Saturn’s warning becomes unmistakable. A system built to create efficiency begins quietly defining worth. A score becomes the gate. A recommendation becomes a record. A tool adopted for convenience becomes an invisible authority over who is seen, who is trusted, and who is permitted to move forward.

The problem isn’t innovation, it’s our tendency to build first and ask questions later. We create systems in the name of speed, convenience, power, and growth, then realize that someone else has been asked to carry the cost: the land, the water, the worker, the job seeker, the public, and the generations who have no voice in the decision.

People are tired of living in a constant state of emergency: war answered with more war, instability answered with more extraction, labor shortages answered with automated rejection, and uncertainty answered with systems built too quickly to fully understand. Saturn wants us to take responsibility for what our actions set in motion. Does Saturn want us to slow down, yes. But it also wants us to look more honestly at the world we are creating. We need to make sure that what we build supports life, dignity, and humanity. Instead of forcing people and the planet to conform to systems created without enough thought for what they would cost.

The Sun in Leo wants to be seen, wants to create, and lead from the heart. Meanwhile Saturn in Aries wants us to take ourselves, and our ambition seriously. Recognition may arrive for work you’ve already been doing; especially where you have remained consistent without immediate praise or rewards. Because both planets are in fire signs, inspiration and discipline are working together. Don’t let your ego get the best of you, be someone that inspires and leads.

August 17th: Mercury at 14°21′ Leo trine Saturn Rx at 14°21′ Aries

Mercury’s trine to Saturn helps us slow down and think about what we actually want and what we are saying. Conversations may become more serious, decisions more deliberate, and ideas easier to organize. This is supportive energy for writing, teaching, planning, negotiating, or defining a grand vision. A seed that was planted around February may finally be ready to blossom. This can mark a proposal, new schedule, strategy, or real commitment. Words carry weight now. That doesn’t mean every conversation has to feel heavy, however be very aware of what you are promising. What is agreed upon now may have real staying power.

August 21st: Venus at 14°12′ Libra opposite Saturn Rx at 14°12′ Aries

This may be one of the more emotionally honest moments of Saturn’s retrograde. When Venus and Saturn face one another they reveal where the emotional imbalances are in our relationships. Questions around commitment, fairness, distance, loneliness, or emotional availability may surface. Our financial responsibilities and obligations also feel heavier. This transit may reveal whether the current structure of a relationship is strong enough to support the love that is there.

August 31st: Jupiter at 13°41′ Leo trine Saturn Rx at 13°41′ Aries

This is one of the most beneficial transits of Saturn retrograde. This trine can help with expansion without everything becoming unstable or overwhelming. A project, business opportunity, or creative venture may begin to feel both exciting and realistic. This can feel like a blessing from the cosmos, but remember this will only manifest if you have been doing the work. Saturn will open the doors but are you even ready to walk through them?

September 1st: Mars at 13°40′ Cancer square Saturn Rx at 13°40′ Aries

The day after Jupiter and Saturn offer a blessing, Mars is brought to a full stop by Sky Daddy himself, Saturn. Their square can feel like wanting to move forward while something, or someone ::cough, Saturn, cough::, keeps saying no. Will you be frustrated, yes. Will you feel blocked, yes. This transit isn’t to upset or overpower you, its here to show you where you may have missed some key information and reveal why you are sprinting to the finish line.

September 18th: Mercury at 12°32′ Libra opposite Saturn Rx at 12°32′ Aries

Conversations become more serious under this opposition. Contracts, negotiations, relationship discussions and public statements may require greater care. Double and triple check the fine print. You may hear something you would rather not hear, or finally say what you have been avoiding. Plans can also encounter practical objections that force everyone involved to be more realistic. The work is to speak clearly without becoming cruel, and to remain fair without betraying yourself.

October 4th: Sun at 11°18′ Libra opposite Saturn Rx at 11°18′ Aries

Here come the consequences…Responsibilities may feel heavier, another person’s expectations may become harder to ignore, or we may become painfully aware of how much energy a commitment requires. This can be a sobering day, but not necessarily a negative one. Oppositions bring awareness. They show us what can no longer be managed from only one side. Can we remain in our sovereignty and also honor our commitments? They can coexist without consuming each other.

Mars and Saturn work exceptionally well together. This is excellent energy for implementing what the retrograde has been teaching you. You may be ready to act on a decision, enforce a boundary, take command of a project, or return to a goal with even greater discipline. This is about harnessing your power. This is the kind of energy that helps you finish what you started.

October 31st: Jupiter at 24°18′ Leo sesquiquadrate Saturn Rx at 9°18′ Aries

Jupiter and Saturn come to a heated conversation again, but this time the tension is less straightforward. You may feel genuinely excited about an opportunity while also sensing that the timing, workload, or foundation isn’t quite right. A sesquiquadrate often feels like persistent pressure rather than one giant, obvious obstacle. It’s something irritating that cannot be ignored, yet the solution might not be immediately clear. You do not have to abandon the vision. You may need to revise it, extend the timeline, or become more honest about what it will require. Adjusting the plan is not the same as giving up.

December 10th: Saturn stations direct at 7°56′ Aries

Saturn’s direct station marks a massive turning point for us personally and collectively. Responsibilities may become clearer. Decisions that felt impossible to make may finally take shape. Projects that stalled can slowly regain momentum and boundaries that were tested during the retrograde may become easier to maintain. Don’t expect an overnight release. Saturn moves slowly, and it remains within its retrograde shadow until March 15th, 2027. There is still more to build, repair and integrate. December brings clarity, but the following months show whether you’re willing to live by what you have learned.

The Soul of This Retrograde.

Saturn retrograde in Aries is a return to the unfinished self. This is a return to the deeper self, the one that existed before comparison taught you to rush or fear taught you to harden. During this retrograde, we may begin to see what we called “ambition” was actually survival. What we called “independence” was self-protection. And even what we called “discipline” was punishment. And for some, it can be reality that what looked like patience was really the fear of beginning.

Saturn doesn’t reveal these things to shame us, he reveals them so we can stop building our lives from old wounds and begin creating structures that can truly support who we are becoming!

Saturn’s blessing is the realization that we don’t need to live in a constant state of change. What we need is structure, discipline, and something steady enough to hold us when change inevitably comes. Then, when the real shift arrives, we are no longer meeting it as the person who first entered the storm. We have become someone who knows how to stay rooted, listen for the next direction, and move forward without abandoning ourselves.
