Secondhand, But Grand

You all know I love a loafer…so when I can get a deal on a loafer it’s even better. These Manolo Blahnik Suede Tassel Accents Loafers are so beautiful and an incredible price. The perfect piece to start inserting a little “fall” into your wardrobe, even if the weather is still warm.

The Investment

If I had all the money in the world I would wear Khaite nonstop. It’s just one of the most exquisite brands and I’ve been absolutely dying over their Fall 2026 collection. It’s hard to decide which variation of these pants is the coolest, but I think I have to go with the velvet with this matching blazer. It’s just so rock & roll. They also have a long, matching coat which is divine…and if you want to really make it edgy you could add this wallet chain. Don’t even get me started on this season’s version of the military jacket.

The Wild Card

So fun fact. My wedding dress was almost Maticevski. It was definitely one of my top choices…which may not be that surprising to you for those that have followed me for a bit, the designs are so avant-garde and architectural. I’m LOVING this top for Fall/Winter. I think it’s such a cool, unexpected thing to wear to a holiday party.

Everyday Hero

I have these Agolde recycled leather pants in Black and they’re some of my most worn pants in the Fall/Winter. I love how they bring a more interesting texture to an outfit than a denim and they look SO good with thick sweaters. So when I saw they came out with them in brown I knew I had to share them with you all. Just remember to always size down in Agolde.

If you want to round out the whole look these loafers would look great with the brown leather.

Special Occasion

Sometimes I think that a fur (even faux fur) jacket can be a little over the top. You easily lose the figure under all that bulk. For that reason I’m loving Nour Hammour’s ‘Sena’ scarf…it’s a great way to “winterize” / “dress-up” a regular winter coat or sweater without having to commit to the whole thing. It would also be great for travel since packing multiple coats can be a nightmare.

Beauty Cabinet

As we move closer to Fall/Winter I’m thinking about how I’m shaking up my skincare routine as well. I love a double cleanse to keep my skin hydrated when it starts to get a little drier, and this duo from Dime Beauty is great and very easy on the skin. I start with this oil cleanser, and then finish with this really gentle exfoliator. They also have this really handy set for keeping your hair out of the way and water from rolling down your arms when you’re washing your face (why don’t more brands have this, it’s genius!).

I also like adding in an oil at night on top of my moisturizer just to really bring a little extra glow. Dime Beauty makes a great one, or this one from Dr. Sebagh is a favorite, especially if you get any intense treatments done like lasers (or just go skiing or something).

Should I Buy It?

This is the cape version of my favorite light wool jacket. No notes, it’s perfect.

This shirt could easily be Yohji. I love all the tiny buttons. These jeans are a perfect hybrid of a trouser and a jean. Very elevated for Fall. Not all COS shoes are comfortable but these are, and they look like The Row.

I love nothing more than scrolling mindlessly on The RealReal. It’s how I find some of the best items. Because I really value this community so much I wanted to share my personal edit of The RealReal’s massive edit of things that I think are SO special. It’s honestly just my favorite way to shop vintage…from the comfort of my bed. This is everything that caught my eye — 45 pieces, spanning Yohji, Issey Miyake, YSL Rive Gauche, Comme des Garçons, Prada, Chanel, and more. As always, it’s The RealReal, it’s secondhand, and it’s one-of-one — so if something’s your size and you love it, don’t sit on it too long. For real…I may have even scooped up a few pieces myself before I posted this (sorry not sorry).

I’ve broken it into three buckets: the pieces that are a bit spendy but that can either be extremely inspiring, or a gem in your collection depending on what your budget is, the pieces that are an absolute steal, and everything else organized by category so you can actually find what you’re looking for.

These are investment pieces — the kind you buy once and wear for the next twenty years. Or you can just lust over and appreciate the history.

• Thierry Mugler Vintage 1996 Skirt Set — Black, S | US4, FR36 — From the Spring/Summer 1996 collection. Wool, off-the-shoulder colorblock two-piece. The shape of this is incredible. The contrast of the black and white…it’s just perfection.

• Comme des Garçons Vintage 2012 Jacket — White, S — Spring/Summer 2012. Silk, with a bandage-wrap construction that’s more sculpture than jacket. This over a black dress…would be so incredible. Or even a black turtleneck. Am I crazy for thinking this would be an incredible piece for a bride-to-be or for a Christmas ensemble?

• Issey Miyake Vintage 1990 Coat — Black, XS — Fall/Winter 1990, as seen on the actual runway in an alternate colorway. Wool, hooded, dramatically draped. The drama…love it so much, definitely at the top of my wish list.

• Comme des Garçons Vintage 1996 Skirt Set — Black, S — “Flowering Clothes,” Fall/Winter 1996. Black and red patterned two-piece. Another piece that I could see wearing on Christmas morning. The neckline is sublime.

• Maison Martin Margiela Vintage 2008 Trench Coat — Black, S | US4, IT40 — Fall/Winter 2008. Leather, belted, knee-length. Very Matrix, but in the best, modern way.

• Comme des Garçons Vintage 2010 Jacket — Green, S — “Adult Delinquent” — lol love that. Spring/Summer 2010. Raw-edge trim, more capelet than jacket.

The Super Deal (Under $300)

Who doesn’t love a deal…just remember…just because something is a good price doesn’t mean you have to buy it. You should love it…otherwise you’ll never wear it. Also watch out because some of these things are final sale, which means you can’t return it.

• Issey Miyake Vintage 1988 Top — White, S. I’m sorry…I bought this. I just had to. How amazing will this collar be sticking out from a more plain blazer…maybe like the one below.

• Alaïa Vintage 1991 Bodysuit — Black, S — Fall/Winter 1991 by Azzedine Alaïa himself. Velvet. INCREDIBLE for the price. I also just love velvet for Fall/Winter. This is such a great way to make any of your basic sweaters or skirts feel more “holiday.”

• Jil Sander Vintage 2000’s Coat — Black, XS | US2, FR34

• Yves Saint Laurent Vintage Long Skirt — Black, S | US4, FR36 — 2010, by Stefano Pilati. I love a long skirt — I find them so easy to make more formal depending on how you accessorize them, or dress them down.

• Yohji Yamamoto Vintage Straight Leg Pants — Black, S — More understated than your usual Yohji option, but I kind of love that. Also an incredible price for a piece of Yohji tailoring.

• Comme des Garçons Vintage 2001 Blazer — Black, S — “Beyond Taboo,” Fall/Winter 2001. Velvet with ruffle detailing. I’m sorry I bought this one as well. I just had to…see my velvet obsession above.

• Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Vintage 1990’s Evening Jacket — Black, XS | US2, FR34

• Prada Vintage Knee-Length Dress — Black, XS — Look #58 from Fall/Winter 2001, as worn by Maggie Rizer. Virgin wool shift. I didn’t pick this one up…yet…but I can’t stop thinking about it. I think it would be amazing during the day with a white button up underneath, or dressed up at night with the low back shown off.

• Moschino Vintage Midi Length Dress — Neutrals, XS — Graphic print halter, very playful for the brand. I don’t know what it is about Moschino but it makes my usual style just go out the window. I love the whimsy of this.

• Marc Jacobs Vintage 2000’s Blazer — Grey, S | US4. I feel like Marc Jacobs doesn’t get as much love anymore, but he was totally in his prime in the early 2000’s and this jacket is the perfect example of that aesthetic.

• Prada Vintage 2010 Jacket — Neutrals, S | US4, IT40 — By Miuccia Prada. Gorgeous. I feel like very stereotypical Prada, great price.

• Jean Paul Gaultier Soleil Vintage Bolero — Black, XS. I love the architecturalness of this.

• Gucci Vintage 1980’s Blazer — Blue, XS | US2, IT38. I love a vintage Gucci, and this blazer is so chic, would be gorgeous with white linen pants for summer or brown wool pants in the winter.

• Issey Miyake Vintage 1989 Blazer — Green, S. One of the more tame Issey Miyake looks — love that this is from my birth year.

I know we’re all a little over Birkins right now, but this one is gorgeous and such a good price. It’s vintage — from the 2000 collection, Noir Gulliver leather, gold-plated hardware. If I wasn’t somewhat financially responsible, I would snap this up.

The Wild Card

This won’t be for everyone, but I have completely fallen in love with this Yohji drape tote from Spring/Summer 2025. It’s avant-garde and so cool… without trying to be. And of course… impossible to get, which makes me want it even more.

Everyday Hero

Zara is at it again — this time with really great foundational pieces for fall that are basic enough to be super versatile but still interesting. For example, this cape t-shirt, a much cooler version of your basic long-sleeve tee… as well as these dark wash jeans. I also love these cream loafers — nothing makes me happier than a pop of cream against colors like black and tan in the fall. Or a full winter-white look in head-to-toe cream.

Also… the COS Pre-Fall collection dropped, and don’t you worry, a whole (maybe two) videos are coming where I share my edits — but here’s a teaser. I’m loving that military-inspired jackets are cropping up for fall. This one is sublime.

Special Occasion

I may have a minor addiction when it comes to getting new glasses… but in my defense, my eyesight got worse during/after my pregnancy so all of my glasses needed to be updated. These are my latest addition. I know they're a little wild, but I think they're going to contrast a lot of these architectural black items very nicely.

Beauty Cabinet

I’m loving this matte lip stain from Kulfi Beauty. I’m normally not into lip stains — they usually fade strangely — but this one lasts (though not too long). I also love the Earl Grey color — it’s very ‘90s grey/brown but with just enough pink. I think it works well with my skin tone, and if I want a little more moisture, I add this ceramide gloss on top. It’s perfection.

Should I Buy It?

I did some damage recently at Lauren Manoogian (they have the BEST store in Soho)… it’s very Dune-chic. I picked up this asymmetric caftan on sale after seeing it on one of the sales associates and falling in love. However, one thing I somehow missed — probably because they were just putting out their fall collection — was this bottle dress. I’m absolutely obsessed with it… should I go back and get it?

This Junya Watanabe Comme des Garçons wool cape from 2015 is absolutely breathtaking.

If I hadn’t just bought a gorgeous Comme des Garçons jacket, I would pull the trigger on this. I’ll keep my eye on it unless one of you scoops it up first.

It’s really the ultimate “cool girl” piece for fall.

The Investment

You all know I’m a ride-or-die Savette fan. I love the simplicity of the designs and how instantly recognizable they are.

Now, they’ve introduced a new bag: the Soft Symmetry.

I’m already a huge fan of the original Symmetry bag, but this one is bigger, softer, and more modern-looking.

I’m having SUCH a hard time choosing between the silver and black, silver and gold, or cognac. Part of me really wants to break the mold and go with the cognac. It looks so vintage and beautiful.

The Wild Card

This isn’t really a wild card for me, but it may be for some of you, depending on your personal style.

Net-a-Porter recently featured a new brand called RUOHAN, and I’m loving it. It’s a Shanghai-based luxury womenswear label founded in 2021 by designer Ruohan Nie. The brand is known for quiet, modern minimalism, precise tailoring, luxurious fabrics, and a refined neutral palette.

The vibe is very Dune-chic, and I’m especially loving the cashmere pieces, including this double-sided cashmere scarf and this insane coat.

Everyday Hero

Tibi’s new flannel series has dropped, and it’s perfection for fall and winter. I’m very partial to the dark grey color.

I love these triple-pleat pants, as well as the matching long-sleeve overlap shirt.

What’s better than one sweater? Two sweaters!

I’m loving this layered look from Nour Hammour, and apparently everyone else is too because it’s almost sold out on Net-a-Porter, even though it just dropped.

Last year, I wore my Citizens of Humanity corduroy barrel pants TO DEATH, so I’m extremely tempted to pick up these burgundy corduroys from the brand for this year.

Special Occasion

I’ve seen this dress floating around Substack a lot, and for good reason. It’s absolutely stunning and unique, which is quite a feat considering how many clothes I browse online.

I’ve mentioned this in a few of my recent videos, but I still can’t get over how incredible the Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Concealer is.

I got the shade Light Peach, and it just melts into my skin. I rarely wear foundation, let alone concealer, but I’ve been wearing this every day.

It provides gorgeous coverage that doesn’t even look like makeup. 10/10.

Now I really want to try the foundation, which uses the same technology.

Should I Buy It?

Since basically none of my jeans fit me post-pregnancy, I’ve been eyeing a variety of denim for fall. I’ve fallen for this pair of Selvage Jeans from AG.

I love a dark wash for fall and winter, and the shape is pretty unique within my wardrobe.

Something you may find strange about me, as a lover of luxury handbags, is that I don’t own a single Chanel bag. They’ve just never really been my thing.

However, I recently added these two to my favorites because I thought they were so cool and unique.

This black-and-white Tricolor Quilted Goatskin Multi-Pocket Wallet on Chain is so beautiful.

I’m also such a sucker for primary colors, so this Quilted Colorblock Flap Bag really speaks to me.

The Investment

Not to be dramatic, but this is one of the best candles I’ve smelled in a long time.

It’s also super powerful. I can light it in the living room, and it fills our entire apartment. Given that, I think it’s actually reasonably priced.

The fragrance notes are fig leaf, ginger, and sandalwood. Absolutely divine.

I’m already looking at their gift sets for the holidays. Their olive oil and candle combinations would make such a great housewarming gift as well.

The Wild Card

During my weekly deep dive into Net-A-Porter, I stumbled upon two BOLD pairs of sunglasses.

Usually, these wouldn’t be for me, but I think they look so cool and futuristic. Maybe I’m delusional, but I don’t think they would overwhelm my face.

This pair of Gucci sunglasses marks the first time I’ve been excited about anything Demna has done for the brand since joining as creative director.

And these Bottegas are insane. They come in two colors, but I love the tortoiseshell.

Everyday Hero

I’ve been on such a suit kick ever since I filmed my latest Tibi video, so it’s perfect timing that Theory just dropped its “Bring the Breeze” collection, featuring “light-as-air fabrics” in the brand’s sleek, minimal silhouettes.

This jacket is VERY Jil Sander and such a great transitional piece from summer into fall. Hint, hint: I’ll have a video on this very soon.

The silhouette feels polished and substantial enough for cooler weather, but the triacetate fabric keeps it from feeling too heavy.

Triacetate is a smooth, cellulose-based fabric made from wood pulp. It drapes beautifully, resists wrinkles, and holds its shape, which makes it perfect for a jacket. You get that sharp, tailored look without the weight or stiffness of traditional wool.

These matching pants would turn it into a dream suit.

The collection also includes a nice variety of lightweight knits—another great transitional option for the season. I love this T-shirt-style one.

Special Occasion

This week’s special occasion is simply the fact that it’s still summer—and you all know what a sucker I am for a raffia bag in the summer.

This little clutch from Savette is so sweet, and I’m also loving this version of the Chloé Drew Bag.

Beauty Cabinet

Maybe I’m just feeling nostalgic for the days when I would put my entire head of hair into tiny braids to get an all-over crimped look for picture day—anyone else?—but I’ve been having so much fun with this hair waver.

It’s really easy to use and, more importantly, fast. I can do my entire head in less than two minutes. It’s just a fun summer styling tool that I’ve enjoyed playing with.

I’ve also been enjoying this new hair styler. I’ve been using the brush attachment to create super-sleek, bouncy five-minute blowouts.

I’m very interested in trying the curling feature. I’ll play around with it over the next few weeks and report back. I know these tools can sometimes be tricky with short hair. They actually have quite a few at-home beauty bits that I’d love to play around with one day…I’ve heard really good things about their cryo/LED mask, and they even have an at-home version of the hydrafacial which I’m very intrigued by.

I’ve also been relying heavily on this “dry shampoo” from K18. It’s better than most I’ve used because it doesn’t cause the buildup that dry shampoo normally does—or leave a white cast on the hair.

Should I Buy It?

I’m a huge Margiela fan, and I’ve been eyeing these Replica ballet sneakers for weeks now.

I’m wondering if I should just pull the trigger for fall. I love a slip-on shoe, I love a sneaker, and I could see myself getting a ton of wear out of these.

It’s a true hodgepodge of exactly what the title promises: things I’m loving right now that I can’t get out of my head, have recently discovered, have recently come back into my life, or am just randomly obsessing over—like cable knits for fall.

On the heels of my latest closet-cleanout video, I thought I would feature not a particular secondhand item, but a platform: ThredUp.

I talk a LOT—probably too much—about The RealReal, and it’s still my favorite. But while cleaning out my closet, I decided to try ThredUp.

I opted for the premium service: print a label, send them my stuff, let them sell it, and have them cut me a check. This is nice for things that aren’t necessarily designer—Boden, COS, LILYSILK—but are way too nice to recycle and a little too painful to give away.

I’ll keep you posted on my experience with them in terms of selling, but I wanted to highlight it as a nice non-designer option—although they do have some designer pieces too.

The Investment

Zara has to stop. I keep LOVING everything they’ve been putting out recently.

There are some really cool, unique leather pieces in the latest drop, but this jacket stood out to me the most. It could easily be Toteme.

I love the flowy, asymmetric silhouette, especially in contrast with what appears to be very thick leather. And for 100% leather, it’s not too crazy of an investment.

The Wild Card

I’m not the biggest sports fan, but I’m loving this trend of taking sporty silhouettes—like basketball shorts—or sporty fabrics—like nylon—and applying them to more traditional pieces.

These contrast Bermuda shorts are so cute but still simple enough to pair with almost anything. I would personally wear them with this semi-matching contrast shirt.

This gathered bomber is super sporty, but also feminine and VERY unique.

As I mentioned in my latest Tibi video, I splurged on these Crispy Nylon pants, and they’re currently my favorite thing in the world. They’re super sporty and effortlessly cool, and I would pair them with this gorgeous vest.

This next piece does the exact opposite: it takes a sporty pant silhouette and combines it with a super-traditional, tweed-esque fabric. The result is essentially the pant version of a tweed suit. So fun!

While we’re still in the thick of the summer heat, it seems a little crazy to be stocking up for fall. Sadly, though, this is the best—and most important—time to buy fall basics before they all sell out.

H&M denim is highly underrated. I love this brown pair, and I’ve owned this cut before—it’s fantastic. The light beige is great as well.

The Cashmere-Blend Sweater

H&M Premium Selection is another underrated line. This cashmere-blend sweater is one of my favorites. It’s a great price, wears well, and comes in beautiful colors.

I love this dark taupe, but of course you can’t go wrong with black or beige.

The Suede Slip-Ons

As I’m writing this, they’re already starting to sell out—so who knows what will be available by the time I publish.

The Row Hudson suede slip-ons are the perfect, sleek sister to a Birkenstock. H&M has a similar version if the Hudsons aren’t in your budget.

The Quince Tote

This bag is back in stock at Quince, and I’m seriously considering getting the large version in…Warm Taupe. Shocking. It’s SO similar to The Row’s Park Tote.

Cable Knits and Layering Basics

I’m starting to see a lot of cable knitwear for fall, and I’m not mad about it. Anything preppy or collegiate—I’m so here for it.

This is a great option from Quince. I’m partial to the navy.

While cleaning out my closet, I also realized that something is missing. Believe it or not, I actually still have gaps in my wardrobe at this point. I need a long-sleeve T-shirt that isn’t too fitted or too oversized, and I think this one is perfect. It would be great for layering, which I’ve wanted to do ever since I saw this Tibi top.

Special Occasion

’Tis the season of travel—which is great until you get sick.

I swear, every time we get on a plane, my husband manages to catch something. SO, I picked up some goodies from Needed, which also happens to be celebrating its anniversary right now—congrats!

Beauty Cabinet

I’ve been on the fence about Merit Beauty. I know people who absolutely love it, but I think I had a bad experience with the stick foundation.

However…I love an eyeshadow that I can throw on without thinking—or trying. Something that isn’t too dark, is perfect for daytime, and stays put all day.

This one in Sartorial checks all the boxes.

You can apply it with your finger or a brush. I use a brush—it’s faster for me. This brown is the perfect everyday color, although now I want to try the other shades.

I think the matte warm green would be stunning for fall.

At this stage of my life, I just want easy makeup that I can apply quickly and still look polished. This is exactly that.

I also love their highlighter.

Should I Buy It?

It’s crazy how early brands are dropping their pre-fall collections this year…and I’m kind of loving it. Fall and winter are by far my favorite seasons for getting dressed.

I’m seeing lots of tassels on shoes—especially loafers—which I think is a fun, subtle way to make the style a little more interesting.

The ones I’m loving most are these from The Row. Atorie has some nice budget-friendly options here.

But the pair I think I actually need is this one from Aeyde. I love the pointed toe. They’re less of a loafer and more of a ballet flat—but I love that.

So…should I buy them?

I know it’s a little aggressive, but I’m already in the mood for fall. I’ve been browsing coats on The RealReal, and I came across this BEAUTY: an Yves Saint Laurent wool peacoat at an incredible price.

Everyday Hero

No shocker here, but in the thick of summer, sunglasses are an everyday hero for me.

Thank you to everyone who “voted” on my recent Short, where I virtually tried on a few different pairs of glasses. I landed on the Dominique in Amarena With Oak Barrel with Transitions® XTRActive® brown lenses.

I’m such a sucker for transition lenses—they just make everything easier. So now, not only do I have a cool new pair of glasses, but I also have sunglasses!

I also wear these Ray-Bans regularly. If you want a great budget-friendly pair, I love the Venice Polarized Stainless Steel Sunglasses from Quince. I have them in black, but I love the gold and green combination as well.

Special Occasion

I’m on a little bit of a velvet kick right now. It all started with these Etro pants, and now I’ve fallen in love with this crystal-embellished velvet maxi dress.

Would I ever have anywhere to wear it? Probably not—but maybe you do!

Beauty Cabinet

In the summer, sunscreen becomes one of the most important beauty products in my rotation—which sounds lame, but it’s true.

I go from basically never wearing sunscreen—mostly because I don’t leave the house, and when I do, NYC has a UV index of less than one—to having to lather myself up and wear a baseball cap.

These are some of my everyday favorites for the face:

Biossance Squalane + Daily Mineral SPF 50 Sunscreen

I love that this is SPF 50 and contains zinc for when I need some serious protection—but it still rubs in nicely.

Tinted Glow Wonderscreen® SPF 30

I talked about this one in a previous Tuesday newsletter, and while this doesn’t have the highest SPF, it’s a nice substitute for foundation or tinted moisturizer when I want to give my skin a little color, life, and uniformity.

Pro-Collagen Marine Cream SPF 30

This is my favorite in terms of texture and scent. I do wish the SPF were slightly higher, but it’s my go-to when I’m in NYC.

Should I Buy It?

Since I’ve made wearing Issey Miyake my entire identity…should I get this asymmetric draped dress?

If I had an unlimited budget—and, more importantly, unlimited space—I would buy them all. But alas, that’s not the case, so I’m generously sharing them with

In general, Jil Sander is particularly good to shop secondhand. The clean lines and minimal silhouettes don’t really date, and there are some truly phenomenal coats, dresses, and tailored pieces available for a fraction of their original prices.

Summer is also one of my favorite times to shop for fall and winter. People aren’t thinking about cashmere coats and down jackets yet, which means the inventory moves more slowly and there are often better deals to be found.

This is probably the strongest category in the entire edit. Jil Sander does outerwear SO well: beautiful fabrics, timeless shapes, and just enough interesting detail to make a simple coat feel special.

While researching an upcoming video, I’ve gone down a deep, deep Jil Sander rabbit hole on The RealReal. In fact, I found so many good things that I think I’m going to dedicate an entire post to it—but here’s a teaser.

There are SO many incredible coats, but I can’t stop thinking about this cashmere one. Summer is always the best time to start picking up pieces for fall and winter because the inventory isn’t moving as quickly, and you can find some amazing deals.

Full disclosure: I’ve never been a huge Dries fan, but for some reason, I seem to have been bitten by the bug this past week. I’ve found some truly phenomenal pieces that are getting me so excited for fall, starting with this checked flannel jacket.

I love that the asymmetric shape makes it feel cool—not too lumberjack.

And while we’re embracing the unexpected, these heels are INSANE—but so much fun: Julian Hakes Patent Leather Sandals.

Everyday Hero

It doesn’t really get better than the perfect T-shirt, sweater, and pair of jeans for everyday wear.

I recently ordered this T-shirt from Quince, and I’m absolutely obsessed. It’s made from lightweight cotton cashmere, and I sized up to a large for a more relaxed feel. Even though they describe it as relaxed, I think it fits more like a classic T-shirt.

I’m already thinking about getting the heather gray as well.

They also make a long-sleeve crewneck version, which I think would be the perfect, budget-friendly alternative—it’s $30!—to this sweater from 440ME. The 440ME is the perfect lightweight summer sweater. Everyone needs one.

For anyone else who is completely confused about which style of jeans is currently “in,” these jeans are perfect.

They’re not too baggy, bootcut, barrel-leg, or high-waisted—they’re simply a great, medium-wash everyday jean that doesn’t fall into any particular trend or category.

I also love AGOLDE because the quality is great and the sizing is generous, so I recommend sizing down. I wear a 25, and I’m usually a 26.

Special Occasion

While travel isn’t exactly one special occasion, it does potentially represent many special occasions. So this week, I wanted to highlight some SUPER useful—and equally chic—travel pieces.

I just bought this passport holder and wallet in black, although part of me wishes I had ordered the navy. I love that it holds your passport and credit cards and includes RFID-blocking technology and an AirTag pocket.

I put AirTags on EVERYTHING. After losing my passport on one trip, I especially need something like this to keep track of it all.

Speaking of travel, I’m a huge fan of this set from Counter Beauty.

There’s no need to awkwardly decant your beauty products into tiny three-ounce containers. You can throw this entire set in your bag and have a complete skincare system for multiple weeks of travel.

It includes all my favorites, which is especially helpful since I still can’t use retinol while breastfeeding.

Should I Buy It?

At first glance, this is a crazy-expensive sweatsuit. But I already own one from Tibi, and I wear it all the time.

The sweatpants are cut to perfection, and the fabric is the ideal combination of lightweight and substantial. I swear you’ll get a ton of wear out of it.

I’ve also noticed that these pieces tend to sell out quickly, so I’m thinking about picking up the black set for fall and winter.

Secondhand, But Grand

Hermès Clemence Picotin Lock TGM 31

One of the coolest vintage Hermès finds I’ve seen in quite a while. You almost never come across a Picotin in this oversized TGM 31 size, which is exactly what caught my attention. While I’d still personally choose a So Kelly 26, there’s something so unexpected about this bag. It’s one of the few Hermès bags that’s actually large enough to fit a laptop, making it both incredibly practical and incredibly rare.

The Investment

JUDE Fame 105 Leather Pumps

JUDE is one of the most interesting shoe brands I’ve seen emerge in quite a while, probably since I first discovered Aeyde. Their shoes feel sculptural and modern without trying too hard, and almost everything they release seems to disappear almost immediately.

These pumps are the perfect example. They’re timeless with just enough edge to make them feel special.

The Wild Card

These aren’t my size, so I can selflessly share them with all of you.

Are they comfortable? Probably not.

Are they a little weird? Absolutely.

That’s exactly why I like them. Every wardrobe needs one piece that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and these definitely fit the bill.

Bala Sock Flat

For those of you who, like me, aren’t always in the mood to show your toes during the summer, these are one of my favorite alternatives. They’re incredibly comfortable, easy to throw into your bag, and instantly make an outfit feel a little more modern. They’re also the perfect backup shoe when your loafers or heels inevitably decide they’ve had enough.

Zara Mesh Flat

Another GORGEOUS pair of mesh flats…if you told me these were Khaite, I’d probably believe you. The delicate pleated mesh gives them a much more romantic feel than your typical mesh flat, making them feel elevated while still being incredibly easy to wear. They’re one of those rare Zara finds that look far more expensive than they are, and I can already tell they’ll be a staple with everything from relaxed denim to tailored trousers.

Special Occasion

HEIRLOME Helena One-Shoulder Silk-Twill Maxi Dress

Wedding guest season is officially here, and this is exactly the kind of dress I’d reach for. HEIRLOME consistently makes some of the most beautiful occasionwear, and I don’t think they get nearly enough attention.

I actually wore a similar top and skirt from the brand around my wedding, and I can honestly say the quality is even more beautiful in person than it looks online.

Beauty Cabinet

I’ve been testing several products from DIME Beauty recently, and I genuinely don’t understand why more people aren’t talking about this brand. Everything I’ve tried has impressed me, but these have become the products I reach for most.

Night Routine

I apply this first as my moisturizer before sealing everything in.

I layer this over the mask at night, and I’ve been waking up with noticeably more hydrated skin.

Daytime

Wonderscreen SPF 30

This has quietly become my everyday sunscreen. It’s lightweight, doesn’t pill under makeup, and actually feels nice to wear.

Whenever I leave the city and my vampire skin has to see actual sunlight, this is what I’ve been reaching for. It gives just enough coverage to even everything out while still looking like skin.

Should I Buy It?

The black mesh version of the JUDE Fame 105 pumps has been on my mind all week.

I think they could become one of those shoes I’d wear constantly, but I also know I don’t need another pair of black shoes.

So tell me…should I buy them, or talk me out of it?

It’s long overdue that I do a proper deep dive on Atorie…because I was skeptical too.

The site doesn’t do itself a lot of favors at first glance. Some of the handbags read a little too close to more luxurious options, and if that’s the first thing you see, it’s easy to write the whole platform off as a dupe site and move on.

But once you understand what Atorie actually is, how to browse it, and which “Ateliers” are actually worth your money, I promise there are real gems in here. So let’s get into it.

So... What Is Atorie, Actually?

Atorie is an online marketplace where you can buy clothing and accessories directly from wholesale sellers all over the world.

If that sounds a little abstract, let me give you a real-world comparison: The Frankie Shop.

The Frankie Shop is one of the most beloved online boutiques right now, and while they do carry select luxury names like JW Anderson and Coperni, the majority of what they sell is labeled either as The Frankie Shop itself, or as a “random” third-party brand you’ve never heard of.

Here’s my honest, deeply-researched-but-not-verified-from-the-inside theory: I’m fairly confident a lot of this is white labeling…when a company partners with a wholesale manufacturer to put its own label on that manufacturer’s clothes. The Frankie Shop does this with a number of Korean wholesalers. Sometimes brands don’t even bother relabeling - see Paper Moon, which sells wholesale designs largely as-is.

These wholesale brands are technically real brands, but their business model is built around selling in bulk to boutiques and retailers, not to you directly. Boutiques place orders through wholesale marketplaces like Faire, or in person at trade markets in cities like Dallas or New York each season. That’s where a huge amount of what you’re buying at your favorite boutique actually originates.

What Atorie is doing is taking that same wholesale world and putting a trusted storefront on top of it. They handle the marketing, the branding, the customer service, the returns, while letting each wholesale brand (which Atorie calls an “Atelier”) present itself on its own terms.

Why Shop a Site Like This At All?

Access. Under normal circumstances, you can’t just buy from these wholesalers as an individual. You typically need a business license, a platform to sell on, and you’re often required to hit minimum order quantities (eg. you can’t just buy one coat).

Reduced risk. Working with wholesale sellers one-by-one comes with real risk…fraud, no returns, no accountability. Atorie absorbs that risk for you. They own the logistics (shipping and returns to and from the warehouses) and the customer service if anything goes wrong.

Their return policy, for reference:

• 30-day returns on eligible items

• Free returns for U.S. customers

• Items must be unworn, unwashed, undamaged, with tags attached and original packaging

• Refunds issued to your original payment method once your return is inspected

• 24-hour cancellation window before an order ships

I’ve purchased and returned multiple things from the site and never had an issue. Delivery takes about a week, and returns take roughly a week to a week and a half — for context, my Neiman Marcus order actually took longer than that.

The quality has genuinely been great. Atorie is transparent about fabric content on every listing, which I really appreciate, and sizing has been accurate from what I’ve seen so far. Because a lot of this is Korean-manufactured, some pieces can run a little short…but most designs lean oversized, and they do call it out when fit runs true-to-size or otherwise.

It’s seasonless. One of my favorite things about this site is that it isn’t chasing a particular trend or season the way a lot of fast fashion is. That means you can shop ahead…buying fall/winter pieces in the middle of summer, or vice versa…without worrying you’re about to miss a drop or buy something that reads dated in three months.

The Downsides, Because Nothing’s Perfect

Atorie used to let you browse cleanly by fabric (wool, silk, cashmere, linen). You can technically still filter this way, but there’s no longer a clear navigation path pointing you to it, so you have to know to search for it (or get creative with terms like “cable knit,” “matching set,” “wool coat”).

The bigger thing: it’s a marketplace, not an edited shop. Nobody is curating this for you. Within even the best Ateliers, there are plenty of misses next to the hits, so you do have to actually browse to find the good stuff.

I personally love that treasure-hunt element. I know it’s not for everyone…which is exactly why I’ve done the digging for you below.

One more thing to watch for — sets are inconsistent, and the UI doesn’t make that obvious. Some sets are sold as a true single unit: one size, one price, top and bottom locked together. The Minimalist Linen-Cotton Suit Set from Carolingian works this way — you pick one size and both pieces ship together.

Other “sets” are actually two separate listings bundled on one page, and you have to add each piece individually or you’ll accidentally end up with just the top (ask me how I know). The Linen Top Set is a good example: choose your top’s size and color and add it to cart, then scroll down, choose your bottom’s size and color, and add that separately too. It’s a genuinely confusing bit of UI, so double-check your cart before checking out you want to make sure both pieces are actually in there.

Carolingian is probably my most-shopped Atelier. In general I think they have really great sets as well as casual dresses and pants. I’ve worn this linen long sleeve t-shirt set a TON this Summer, and they have some great ones below as well. These drawstring Bermuda shorts were the very first thing I ever bought from Atorie and I still love them.

• Ribbed Chenille Wide-Leg Pants: I LOVE these for Fall. I think they’re so comfortable and chic looking. I’d wear them with loafers and an oversized cashmear sweater from COS.

• Wide-Leg Relaxation Pants: These remind me a lot of my beloved Tibi sweatpants. They’re architectural but still super cozy / comfortable. You can wear them out of the house, but let’s be honest you’ll mostly be wearing them on the couch.

Start with these six Ateliers, filter by fabric where you can, and don’t be afraid to scroll past the misses to get to the gems.

Hunza G Sandy Open-Back One-Piece Swimsuit

I’ve really come to appreciate Hunza G swimsuits for a number of reasons. While they seem like a significant investment at first glance, they’re honestly genius.

Their signature crinkle fabric is designed to be one-size-fits-all, and somehow it actually works. I bought my first one while pregnant because I wanted something that would continue to fit afterward. Postpartum, I’ve appreciated it even more since I’m still not entirely sure what size I am these days.

I love the vintage feel of this halter-neck style, and you can never go wrong with a black one-piece. It’s timeless.

I’m even more obsessed with this dress in person than I was online, and I already loved it online.

The exaggerated shape, the volume, the fabric…everything about it feels special. Although it’s 100% cotton, it has an almost sporty, technical feel to it that reminds me of nylon.

It’s one of those rare dresses that looks just as good dressed down with flip-flops as it does styled for a summer wedding with heels and a clutch.

I’m still not sure whether I prefer the gold or silver version.

Whatever it is, I absolutely love this cuff. The organic shape combined with the resin material feels unexpectedly sophisticated.

Speaking of nostalgia, I am fully on board with the jelly shoe revival.

These are essentially Cinderella shoes for adults, and I love everything about them.

The baby blue color is incredible, although I’m still wondering if I should have chosen the ash grey. It’s genuinely keeping me up at night.

The Row Sheer Sock Nylon Flats

These may not be as exciting as translucent blue heels, but they’re probably my most-worn type of shoe.

They’re lightweight, comfortable, and somehow manage to modernize every outfit they’re paired with.

Like Jil Sander, they consistently create designs that feel architectural, intelligent, and slightly unexpected. They manage to sit perfectly between classic and avant-garde.

swimwear. For the first time in who knows how long, we saw bathing suits that actually offered some coverage. Think high necklines, shorts, and other silhouettes that felt a little less revealing. And since then, it hasn’t stopped.

Rivage

While browsing Net-a-Porter (as one does), I recently stumbled across a brand called Rivage that had a very interesting concept: the swim dress. We’ve seen the rise of the active dress thanks to Outdoor Voices, but this takes the idea to a whole new level. It’s a dress made from swimwear fabric. There’s a traditional one-piece swimsuit underneath and a loose-fitting dress on top, all designed to be worn in the pool or ocean.

I knew I had to have one.

While I didn’t end up keeping the one I ordered because I wish I had gone with a medium instead of a small in my postpartum body, I can’t stop thinking about it and may honestly order it again. I love the versatility. I love the utility. I love that you don’t have to worry about being overexposed.

I just love the idea of wearing it to the beach, feeling comfortable reading a book under an umbrella, taking a quick dip in the ocean to cool off, and then returning to my chair. To me, that’s heaven.

So I started wondering: who else is making the modern bathing costume?

Something has been happening that I want to talk about. American fashion is coming back.

What do I mean by that?

At a time when people constantly talk about New York Fashion Week losing relevance, and after two decades dominated by conglomerates like LVMH and Kering, it might sound counterintuitive. But there’s a quieter shift happening that feels like a kind of counterculture.

Over the past 20 years, as these European houses expanded globally, especially into markets like Asia, the demand for newness exploded. With that came more collections, more products, more logos, more everything. And eventually, what always happens with overproduction and overexposure… things started to blur together.

There was no shortage of fashion. But there was a shortage of clarity.

It became harder to find pieces that actually felt grounded. Pieces that solved real wardrobe problems. Pieces that felt considered rather than just new.

And that’s where I think this current wave of American brands comes in.

They’re not reacting to trends, they’re reacting to fatigue. They’re filling a gap that’s been building for years. A return to quality materials, thoughtful construction, and design that’s focused on silhouette rather than surface.

Across all of these brands, there’s a shared sensibility. The pieces are architectural, but understated. Confident, but restrained. They don’t demand attention, they hold it.

And in this current moment, that feels not just refreshing, but necessary.

What’s interesting is that this isn’t coming from one brand, or even one type of brand.

It’s happening across a range of designers who are all approaching this idea from slightly different angles. Some are more minimal, some more sculptural, some focused on accessories, but they all share the same underlying discipline.

These are the brands I keep coming back to, the ones that feel like they’re actually shaping what modern American fashion looks like right now.

The Row

Founded: 2005
Founders & Creative Directors: Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen
Based in: New York
Price Point: $900–$10,000+

What They’re Known For
The Row defined a new kind of American luxury. Extremely refined, fabric-driven, and stripped back to only what matters. The focus is on cut, proportion, and materials at the highest level, with an almost obsessive attention to detail.

Why It Feels Relevant Now
While many brands are just now moving toward restraint and intentionality, The Row has been operating this way for nearly two decades. In a lot of ways, they laid the foundation for what we’re now seeing across American fashion, a shift toward fewer, better, more considered pieces.

My Perspective
Out of all of these brands, The Row is obviously the most widely known, and while they’ve had their share of controversy, I do think they deserve credit for paving the way for this current moment in American fashion.

Personally, I tend to gravitate most toward their accessories. Their collaboration with Oliver Peoples has produced some of my favorite sunglasses, and their bags, in particular, feel incredibly resolved.

My favorite is the Small Day Luxe bag, which I have in both black and tan. It’s one of those pieces that just works with everything. The closest current version is the Marcel Tote, which has a similar understated feel.

I also have their mesh sock boots, which I love, but I think the full leather version would be even better. And their outerwear is consistently strong. I found an incredible black coat on The RealReal, which, in my opinion, is one of the best ways to buy into the brand.

Pieces I Love

• The Small Day Luxe bag, which has become a true everyday staple for me

• The Marcel Tote as a current alternative with a similar feel

• Their sock boots, especially in leather

• And their outerwear, which consistently delivers on both structure and wearability

Khaite

Founded: 2016

What They’re Known For
Khaite has built a very specific language around contrast. Structured but soft, feminine but grounded. The pieces feel substantial without being heavy, and there’s always an emphasis on how something sits on the body rather than just how it looks.

Why It Feels Relevant Now
At a time when so much fashion has felt either over-designed or disposable, Khaite sits in a middle ground. It feels considered. There’s restraint, but not in a sterile way. It reflects a shift toward fewer, better pieces that actually hold weight in a wardrobe.

My Perspective
It took me a minute to remember my first interaction with Khaite, but it was around 2019 or 2020. I rented a pair of their jeans from Rent the Runway for a press trip to Arkansas, and I remember putting them on and immediately feeling so cool.

To this day, the only piece I actually own is a different pair of Khaite jeans, which honestly comes down to their eyewateringly high price point. They’re very much in that The Row territory.

That said, it’s one of those brands where I know I eventually want to go deeper. One day I’ll go to their NYC store and properly try everything on, the dresses, the shoes, the outerwear. In the meantime, I mostly browse them on Net-A-Porter and save things.

Pieces I Love
If I had zero restraint, these are the pieces I’d go for immediately:

• The Marfa boots, which feel like the perfect mix of sharp and wearable

• Their outerwear, especially structured jackets that instantly anchor an outfit

• The Oliver Peoples collaboration, which adds a slightly more directional edge to their world

Right now, I’m especially drawn to:

• a sculptural top that feels both minimal and statement at the same time

• a pair of perfectly cut jeans that sit exactly right on the body

• a clean, body-skimming dress that does all the work for you

• and honestly, the chicest overalls I’ve ever seen

Kallmeyer

Founded: 2012
Founder & Creative Director: Daniella Kallmeyer
Based in: New York
Price Point: $300–$2,000+

What They’re Known For
Kallmeyer sits in a slightly different lane than brands like Khaite or The Row. There’s more experimentation in proportion and styling, with a focus on tailoring that feels directional rather than purely minimal. The pieces often have a subtle masculinity to them, but are styled in a way that still feels fluid and wearable.

Why It Feels Relevant Now
As American fashion shifts away from overly simplified “basics,” Kallmeyer represents a move toward individuality within restraint. It’s not about stripping things back completely, it’s about introducing just enough tension or personality to make an outfit feel intentional.

My Perspective
This is probably the brand I’ve interacted with the least out of all of these. I’ve never tried anything on and haven’t purchased anything yet, but it’s firmly on my list.

It’s not exactly my style in the way that something like Khaite or The Row is. It’s a bit less straightforward, a bit more styled. But that’s also what makes it interesting. It consistently stands out to me as a brand that people in the fashion community really respect, and that always signals something.

They also show at New York Fashion Week, which, while it doesn’t carry the same weight it once did, still places them in a certain conversation.

One thing I do think could be stronger is the styling, at least on their site. The pieces themselves are beautiful, but they don’t always feel presented in the most compelling way, which makes it harder to fully see their potential.

Pieces I Want to Try
These are the pieces that have really stayed with me:

• A structured jacket that feels very Yohji Yamamoto meets Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy

• A drawstring pant (because I’ve never met one I didn’t like)

• The scarf blazer, which is one of their most recognizable pieces

• A leather lambskin shawl jacket that feels incredibly rich and sculptural

• And a long duster coat that I genuinely cannot stop thinking about and know I’ll eventually buy

Co.

Founded: 2011
Founders & Creative Directors: Stephanie Danan and Justin Kern
Based in: Los Angeles
Price Point: $400–$3,000+

What They’re Known For
Co. is rooted in a very pure form of minimalism. The focus is on fabric, proportion, and silhouette without unnecessary detail. There’s a quiet confidence to the pieces, they don’t try to stand out, but they hold their own through construction and shape.

Why It Feels Relevant Now
As fashion moves away from trend cycles and toward longevity, Co. represents a more disciplined approach. It’s not about statement pieces or styling tricks, it’s about clothing that feels resolved and intentional from the start.

My Perspective
This is another brand where I’ve only dipped my toe in so far. I have one piece, a beautiful leather dress that I found on The RealReal, but it left a strong impression.

Like a few of these brands, I can’t clearly remember how I first came across it, it may have been through resale as well, but it’s one I’ve continued to come back to.

I find myself consistently checking for new pieces and slowly thinking about how I’d build more of it into my wardrobe over time.

Pieces I Love

• A structured shirt with one of the most beautiful collars I’ve seen, it feels like a small detail but completely changes the piece

• A lightweight coat that feels like the ideal version of summer outerwear, simple, but incredibly considered

Fforme

Founded: 2021

Price Point: $400–$2,500+

What They’re Known For
FFORME is much more design-driven than traditional “minimal” brands. The pieces are sculptural, architectural, and often play with volume in a way that still feels wearable. There’s a clarity to the silhouettes, but also a sense of intention behind every cut and proportion.

Why It Feels Relevant Now
As the industry moves away from overproduction and surface-level trends, FFORME represents a return to actual design. It’s not about basics or wardrobe fillers, it’s about pieces that shift how an outfit feels through shape and structure.

My Perspective
I’ve actually done a full YouTube video on FFORME, so I won’t go too deep here, but it’s a brand I’ve really come to love over time.

I can’t even remember exactly how I first found it, I think it was through Net-A-Porter, and I just kept coming back to the pieces.

Last year, before a trip to Paris, I started picking things up on The RealReal, which ended up being a really smart way to build out a collection. I found an incredible sweater dress and a long black maxi dress that I’ve worn constantly.

From there, it kind of snowballed. I now have around 10 pieces, and it’s one of the few brands I actively monitor because the good pieces tend to go quickly.

Pieces I Love
These are the kinds of pieces that define the brand for me:

• A black maxi skirt similar to one I already own from the brand and wear constantly

• A crinkle fabric dress which, despite not usually being my thing, feels like a clear exception

• Another long black dress that I know would become a repeat piece

• One of the most elevated T-shirt dresses I’ve seen

• And a coat that instantly makes anything you’re wearing look more intentional

Savette

Founded: 2020

What They’re Known For
Savette is built around precision. The bags are architectural, highly considered, and stripped back without feeling minimal in a cold way. There’s a focus on proportion, hardware, and structure, everything feels intentional and resolved.

Why It Feels Relevant Now
As fashion shifts toward fewer, better pieces, Savette fits perfectly into that mindset. These aren’t trend-driven bags, they’re long-term anchors. The kind of pieces that quietly define an entire outfit rather than compete with it.

My Perspective
While technically Savette is only focused on handbags and a few accessories right now, it’s one of my most beloved brands.

I bought my first piece, a black Symmetry Pochette, in 2024 after seeing Clare Rose wear hers on Instagram, and that was it for me.

I’m especially happy I pulled the trigger on that one because it was an exclusive colorway for SSENSE (black with silver hardware), and I haven’t seen it come back since.

Since then, it’s become a bit of a collection:

• a white and silver Pochette that I carried for my wedding

• a green and gold Pochette with a chain

• the Symmetry 19 in taupe with silver hardware

• and most recently, the Anello tote in black with gold hardware

At this point, it’s one of the few brands where I feel like I understand exactly what I’m getting every time.

Overall, what I find most compelling about all of this is that it doesn’t feel like a trend.

It feels like a correction.

After years of excess, overproduction, and constant newness, there’s a return to something much more grounded. Fewer pieces, better materials, stronger points of view.

And what’s interesting is that American brands, which for a long time felt like they were chasing the European houses, are now doing something distinctly their own.

They’re not louder. They’re not faster. They’re just clearer.

More focused on how clothes actually function in a wardrobe. More interested in silhouette than surface. More willing to let restraint be the thing that stands out.

And whether or not people are explicitly calling it out, I think that shift is being felt.

These brands aren’t trying to compete in the traditional sense. They’re operating on a different wavelength entirely.

And right now, that’s exactly what makes them feel so relevant.

If you only buy one thing from Quince, let it be these pants.

I can’t even keep track of how many colors I have these in. Black is my favorite, but they’re honestly just the perfect Summer pant. They’re incredibly comfortable thanks to the lightweight linen fabric and the cropped length is ideal

Are they the most flattering or “sexy” pant? No. But they’re very Eileen Fisher, very The Row. And if you throw an oversized linen shirt over the elastic waistband, you have the perfect Summer outfit

Also extremely accessible in price. I personally like to size up for a more oversized, relaxed look so I get a medium or large and roll the sleeves

It’s also a great swimsuit coverup and you don’t have to be precious with it

Quince makes two really great versions of a linen short, one with a drawstring and one without. I personally prefer the version without the drawstring, it just feels cleaner

I think this is because so much Summer fashion is made as resort or vacation wear, but the reality is that most of us are not on vacation. We are living our regular lives in the sweltering heat.

When I finally realized I needed to stop cosplaying vacation wear and instead start wearing the same things I wear in Fall and Winter, just in Summer fabrics, I actually started liking my Spring and Summer wardrobe. On that note…Stay tuned, I am going to do a full video on this concept because it completely changed how I dress when it is hot.

Another key difference in how I approach my Spring and Summer wardrobe is that it becomes much more important for me to dress in more affordable options. My favorite places to buy foundational warm weather pieces that I wear regularly are:

H&M

These brands make affordable, decent quality linen, cotton, and lightweight denim pieces that I do not mind sweating in or washing frequently.

Unlike Fall and Winter, where I prefer to invest in higher quality cashmere, leather, and heavier materials, summer clothing simply gets worn harder. I know I will sweat and wash things constantly, so it does not make sense to invest heavily in the clothing itself. Instead, I prefer to elevate outfits with high quality accessories like shoes, bags, and sunglasses.

With that in mind, I thought I would start sharing edits of some of my favorite Spring and Summer pieces. Even though warm weather is just beginning, many of these items tend to sell out early in the season.

I am starting with H&M because it is one of my favorite places to find affordable summer basics, especially within their Premium range. I also think their denim is one of the most underrated options on the high street. Some of my favorite jeans are from H&M.

They also consistently have great linen pieces and linen blends. Linen blends are not always a negative thing. In fact, they can often be easier to wear because the blended fabric helps reduce wrinkling and makes pieces easier to care for.

Below are some of my favorite pieces currently on the site.

Linen Sets

I love a linen set in the summer. These shirts are great quality at an even better price. I own linen shirts in white, navy, black, and cream. I essentially swap these in place of my cotton and silk pieces during the warmer months.

The same applies to linen pants. You can dress them up with a button up and cardigan that covers the elastic waistband, or wear them casually as a beach coverup. They are incredibly versatile.

I have this linen beach shirt in black and love the longer tunic length. It feels very Eileen Fisher or The Row coded when paired with cropped black pants and ballet flats. It also works beautifully as a beach coverup and is great to have on hand when you need a bit of sun protection or warmth in the evening.

This linen blend jacket and short set is incredibly chic. To make it feel more city appropriate, I would pair it with a dark navy, green, or black t-shirt and ballet flats. I am also clearly still obsessed with scarf jackets.

These feel like the summer version of a tailored trouser, which you all know I love.

These are less formal but very fun. I am loving stripes for the season, and this color works well with black and brown pieces.

I love a short that is not too tight and not too long. These strike a really nice balance.

I love a matching pajama set and usually pick up a few new ones each season. I have been especially loving this crinkled cotton fabric. I have the maternity version and recently ordered the regular version in blue and brown for Spring and Summer.

I am not usually the biggest fan of nightgowns because they tend to move around too much while sleeping, but this one looks very chic.

I know everyone is freaking out over Matthieu Blazy’s Chanel, but more broadly I think the fashion world seems to finally be waking up and making interesting things again.

Over the past 8+ years it felt like brands were too focused on overproducing during the boom years, and less focused on actually making compelling design. Everyone seemed afraid to take risks. Everyone copied one another. It honestly became a little depressing in terms of inspiration and excitement.

But with a bit of an economic shakeup, and a round of designer musical chairs, it feels like the industry may finally be getting itself back on track.

In this post I want to zoom in on someone I have loved for a long time, but recently I just cannot get enough of his work, Rick Owens. The layering, the sheerness, the texture. It feels so modern, but still elegant and feminine.

The Sheer Layering

I love the sheer layered tops, dresses, and skirts. They feel futuristic, elegant, and incredibly refined. Practical to wear? Maybe not always. But beautiful to look at? Absolutely.

And what I especially love is how so many of the pieces mix and match together. The layering possibilities are endless.

Is this practical? Probably not. But sometimes fashion should simply be fun.

I have never wanted to wear a completely sheer dress more in my life. And I just had a baby. I shouldn’t want to wear sheer anything…It is truly to die for. I also love that it is called the Temple gown. Very Dune chic.

This is probably the most practical piece of the group. It is less form fitting, but still incredibly striking. I also love the idea of layering one of the sheer tulle tops underneath, or simply wearing it on its own.

Fashion should not always be practical. Sometimes it should simply be beautiful, experimental, and a little bit transportive. Rick Owens continues to create pieces that feel genuinely new, and right now that feels incredibly refreshing.

Oversized T-Shirt

This is one of my favorite t-shirts of all time, and I always stock up on them whenever there is a sale. The fabric has enough weight to hold its shape, which gives the silhouette a slightly architectural feel rather than looking flimsy or overly casual. It works with everything from tailored trousers to long skirts and is one of those pieces that makes an outfit feel intentional even though it is very simple.

Another good option if you want a more boxy feel

Linen Midi Column Skirt

I do wish COS showed this one on a model, but in general it is hard to go wrong with a well cut linen midi skirt. This silhouette looks especially clean and minimal, which makes it feel more elevated than most summer skirts. Pieces like this tend to become repeat staples because they work with oversized t-shirts, silk tops, or lightweight knits and can easily be styled across multiple summers.

Ribbed Cotton Tank Top

I love the cut of this tank. It reads very Toteme to me. The slightly higher neckline and clean shoulder shape make it feel more elevated than a typical basic tank. This is the kind of piece that works with everything and is always worth having a few versions of in rotation.

I love a knitted set, and this t-shirt and skirt combination is perfection. I already know I love this fabric because I have it in a pant and polo set that works beautifully. The cut of the t-shirt is especially good. Slightly relaxed but still refined, which makes the entire look feel very polished without being fussy.

I did not see the matching cream skirt yet for this piece, but I love this set and think it looks incredibly chic. COS does fluid satins very well, and this tone feels especially versatile for spring and summer. This is the type of piece that can be styled casually or worn as part of a tonal look.

Elevated Everyday Pieces

I love the cut of the sleeves on this silk t-shirt, and in general I am always drawn to silk blend tees. They make simple outfits feel more refined while still being just as easy to wear as cotton. This is the kind of piece that works equally well with tailoring, denim, or long skirts.

Twisted Linen Tops

I love the twisted Grecian detail on the navy linen top. COS tends to do sculptural details like this very well. They add interest without feeling overly complicated. Both versions feel very wearable but still distinctive, which makes them great statement pieces within a minimal wardrobe. I love this black halter as well.

Easy Summer Dresses

As you all know, I am not usually a huge dress person, but COS t-shirt and oversized dresses are perfection for this time of year. They are easy and can be styled in many different ways.

I love the 90s feel of this black button up dress. The clean shape makes it feel minimal but still interesting, and it is the kind of piece that can be worn very simply and still feel complete.

I am obsessed with this silhouette. The subtle twist detail makes it feel slightly sculptural while still very wearable. I would personally style this with my gold Stuart Weitzman gladiator sandals.

This dress really captures what COS does best. Strong shape combined with ease. The neckline gives it a slightly more architectural feel, while the volume keeps it comfortable.

Tailored Foundations Worth Buying on Sale

COS trousers are consistently very strong, especially when it comes to proportion and fabric weight. These are the types of pieces that anchor everything else in your wardrobe.

Slim Cropped Pants

I featured these more fitted cropped pants in my last COS video, and they are a great classic to pick up while everything is 20% off. The slightly cropped length makes them very easy to style with flats or sandals.

Pleated Wide Leg Pants

I love the softer structure of these. The volume through the leg creates a very elegant line, and the cream tone keeps the look feeling light and modern.

I also love the baggier shape of these. Barrel leg silhouettes can sometimes feel intimidating, but COS tends to keep the proportions very wearable.

Styling note

This outfit with the alpaca feeling knit and matching scarf is perfection in general. COS is very good at creating tonal looks that feel cohesive without being overly styled.

Easy and Comfortable Pants (Bonus if They Are Striped)

I do not know what happens to me this time of year, but I suddenly want to go full nautical and wear stripes.

You all know that I am such a fan of an “easy” pant, aka a pant with an elasticated waistband, and J.Crew has a lot of great ones right now. Structured Linen Sets

If you have watched any of my previous spring and summer videos, you have probably heard me talk about how darker linens are my superpower in the warmer months.

Too often linen is presented in very light colors or busy patterns, but I personally love a structured linen set in black or navy. It feels much more polished and practical for everyday life, while still keeping you cool.

Nothing feels more nautical or timeless for spring than a classic cable knit sweater. I especially love that these are cotton, which makes them feel lighter and easier to wear than cashmere while still giving you that same sense of structure and polish.

It is such a useful layering piece for cooler nights, early mornings, or breezy days near the water. A cable knit always makes an outfit feel intentional, even when the rest of the look is very simple.

It is not logos.

It is not trends.

It is not even minimalism in the traditional sense.

It is restraint.

It is weight.

It is proportion.

And the truth is you do not need to buy The Row to achieve the feeling.

You just need to understand what makes it work.

The Key Elements of The Row

1. Fabric Comes First

I love natural, beautiful fibers - Heavy wool, cashmere, silk twill, fine cotton, washed linen… they’re the stars that really contribute to that “wow” feeling when you put on a well made garment.

The fabrics have weight, drape, and quiet structure. Nothing flimsy. Nothing overly crisp. Nothing that feels disposable.

If you take one thing from this post, let it be this: Prioritize fabric over silhouette.

A simple wide trouser in substantial wool will always look more elevated than a trendy cut in thin polyester. Not too mention - it will just feel better on your body, especially if you live a vibrant, active lifestyle.

2. Controlled Volume, Never Tight

The Row is never about cling. It is about intentional proportion.

Volume is balanced somewhere else:

• Long and loose, but clean at the shoulder

• Wide leg, paired with a soft knit

• Boxy coat over fluid trousers

Oversized, yes, but thanks to styling and/or how different items are paired with one another it doesn’t look sloppy (IMO). It’s easier to understand how to do this with the outfit example below.

3. A Muted, Serious Color Palette

Black. Cream. Deep brown. Olive. Charcoal. Soft navy.

No color or pattern screaming “look at me,” it’s understated, functional and elegant.

4. Flat Shoes and Grounded Styling

Loafers. Soft boots. Minimal sandals.

Nothing decorative. Nothing dainty. The shoes anchor the volume and ground the silhouette. Again, you can see clear examples of how this is done with the outfit examples below.

5. A Relaxed Finish

Nothing looks overly precious. Hair is natural. Makeup is minimal. The clothing feels lived in but intentional.

This is anti performative dressing. It’s also just nice and practical.
