What happens when there is nothing you can think to write about? How about what happens after we die? What happens next? These are things we never will know until they happen. We can never plan for what happens next these are the things faith are for. Just believe god will take care of you and do the best you can with the time you have today. There is no tomorrow without getting through today thats a fact. Of course there is no today without yestarday those will always be in our thoughts. What happens when we don’t keep focused? We get blind sided the things we never expect to happen to us will happen because we lose sight of what is important. Priorities, responsibilities, and more fill our agendas with the struggle of getting through this life. Many of us have different strategies or plans to get through a tough situation. What i want this to do is take you on a daily path of my thoughts and a path that has lead me up to writing all these words. These are memoires I hold near to my heart flashbacks to days gone by, and even sadness from the loss of loved ones. I have no college degree in writing or mental health, but they are something I want to get a better understanding of and this is my way of doing that. Everyday I wake up it feels like a broken record and I need to have a sense of purpose this is my outlet. My thoughts can range from this really sucks, why me how can i make something out of today, and what can i do different. There are many more things that swirl through my head but I dont to discouarge myself any worse than usual. I have to be my own positive force a voice that drives me forward and not to drag myself down. That has go me no where it has nothing but anger and pain filled in those words they are only meant to hurt. When I wake up in a bad mood or have had a string of bad days it’s hard for me to get out of that funk. All I can do is try to write about the ideas in my head or of the past. Maybe its things like camping, fishing, hiking up a mountain, or even gardening I try to work these into inspiration. Sometimes I feel as if I am only doing all of this writing just for myself to look back on and say hey remember when I was in that head space. That is an interesting expression in its self, head space it leads into a line of questions that make you ponder for a while or ask google. For the last five years I would say I try to fill my head with the word of god but it wasnt always that way. I looked at ways of easing the mind of thoughts of anger, sadness, stress, and so forth. So I took to google and tried to find anything to help collect my thoughts. Gurus, mind claming music, inspirational speakers, and of course nature sounds that is always tranquil. These all help stopped the spinning thoughts maybe for a minute or two sometimes it made it worse thinking of the past or the flashbacks to times since long gone. Then comes sitting and pondering just the thoughts of what is this life meant for, what are all these memories good for if no one else is there to share them with, or who will know about the things you have done, will anyone care once your gone, and so much more. That is why I have started to write and put my words and the things of this world that have amazed me on some sort of platform. No longer do I want these memories that have defined my childhood, or shaped me into the person I have become to be locked away in my mind. Just maybe there is some ideas or a piece of information that can help other people. Maybe it will take them on a journey when there isnt one to be had. So many of us get caught up in the madness of life and the never ending circle of things to do we can get out of it . That is my goal in alot of the short essays I write and even doing open bible study it is the hope, and faith of god that drives me on. Anyone who reads my work and leaves a comment it is the greatest shot in the arm so to speak. It is the sense of have a purpose that drives me now and days, of course havinga kids and a family is number one. Who doesnt think to themselves there has to be more than this, of course i do and thats what i set out to do. Make a purpose give a helping hand where i can, talk about things maybe others wouldnt or even if they have maybe just in a different way. Some may not connect with the way others have written, maybe they use to big of words, or say to them selfs that dont connect with me. So every time I take to social media or a writing platform i can look back on something or someone who has left and impact. It could be that it is a fallen soldier that other wise would not be remembered. We should do this with all people that have gone before us because each one of us is special in their own way. They had memories, they had families, and they had dreams which may not have been fillied so talk about them post theor pictures. I dont want my life to be for nothing just to slip away with out having my voice heard, or what words I have to say just sink into darkness. This is where my mind has taken me and I am happy I get to share my story, my memories with anyone who will read them. Dont be afaird to say the wrong thing or if you cant get the words right. We are all in this life together its a matter of trail and error I know for sure I am still messing up daily. Whether it be something small or big I might even use it as a piece to write about. It could be that you looked a the beauty of the flowers a different way, the way you look at your significant other, volunteering and anything inbetween. I have grown along the way, the same I feel so has my writing. I get more excited the more i type out my words and feelings just maybe today I can help someone out. I want to connect with as many people as possible just to spread love, happiness, and of course gods word. That is what this has all lead me to find out it doesnt have to be through just acts of charity, volunteering, or just some random actnof kindnes. These things all are great but the words we have to say the thoughts that we have, there are other people that think or see the world in that way. So dont just let your mind run wild take the time to figure out how to put your thoughts out there. Whether it be a podcast, youtube, or tik toc take a leap of faith it just might help you as well.

Religion

Is there a right one?

Matt h

Is there a right one? Religions there are so many but why is it people feel they need to choose one. I say that I am a Christian but I do not immerse myself into the following or pigeon hole myself into the beliefs. My one true religion is having god in my life no matter what. If the bible is your compass and you follow his word that is what really matters. The preachers, ministers, pope, and priest all have there set ways of thinking what the bible says. They also tell you how it speaks of different ways to live through their depiction of gods words. There are so many different versions of the bible and ways it has been translated. The only real way to know what his words are saying in read the book itself and see what god says to you. Now with that said there are certain things I agree with from different religions that I can base my beliefs on but I feel there is no need to follow them exactly. The only ones I need to follow are Jesus who set the examples and gave us many parables to decode. God came first it is what he says and what he commands that matters. There is no cult or religion that will change my views, or mind set, how I treat my wife or kids. Treat others im a godly way as if you where Jesus feeding the five thousand. That is my religion and I will keep the word of god close to my heart and not let anyone tell me otherwise.

Psalms‬ ‭126‬:‭6‬ ‭

“They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.”

Matt h

“They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.”

‭This pslam is only six verses, I liked this one best. What I say is being said here is we not always happy or joyful going to do the work of god. Well what is the work? It is spreading his word, feeding the homeless, volunteer, donate, and be kind. Now we ourselves might need a little cheering up or food but if we think of ourselves first there is no reward. God always has our best interest in mind and knows what we need without having to ask. The thing is we should not just be asking god to help us we should be asking god how we can help him. Planting a seed that could be a small act of kindness that you’re hoping will spread to others. It could be posting a YouTube video that preaches the word of god, or a podcast you launch. These things time to grow and manifest patience is a must when we set out to do something. I don’t think it means crying when it says weep but maybe it’s your feeling down or not so willing to do something at that moment in time. Thats when it matters the most it will provide a bigger harvest. The harvest can be more followers of Christ, maybe you mentoring a young adult, or maybe even preaching. God will reward us in many ways but we should not expect anything other than his love and grace!

My top ten

Favorite Disney movies

Matt h

I have seen someone else do this and I have to do one now! I have never seen that it directly related to Toy Story in anyway which I thought would be cool. Buzz is stranded on a planet that they built a colony on a planet they were marooned on. While buzz is left with the task of finding the right fuel to get them off the planet his friend and captain eventually grows old and dies. Sometimes how it goes in life as well we get so busy we lose ourselves in our work and the things that drive us. That is why I think this deserves a spot in my top ten although not one of disney’s box office hits. This movie drives the imagination and embodies the Disney spirit with drive and determination. The never give up attitude by buzz almost characterizes Walt Disney himself.

Chris Evans as Buzz Lightyear, a young test pilot and Space Ranger who explores the uncharted planet called They both want to be like their idol Charles muntz who all but disappears from public appearance after finding a giant bird. After years of trying to save enough money to get to paradise falls Ellie grows too old to go. Carl then is almost forced to go to a retirement home after hitting a construction worker in the head with his cane. Then he takes a bunch of balloons ties them to his fireplace and uses his house as a way to escape. Meanwhile Russell a young boy trying to earn his assisting the elderly badge ends up on his front porch during take off and joins Carl on his journey. It is the age old story of when everything seems like there is no other way you find a way. Of course to protect endangered species which Disney is all about taking care of animals. Now this was a box office hit with millions of dollars made which is why it needs a spot along with the entertainment factor.

Ed Asner as Carl Fredricksen, an elderly widower and retired balloon salesman.[7][8]Docter and Rivera noted Asner's television alter ego, Lou Grant, had been helpful in writing for Carl because it guided them in balancing likable and unlikable aspects of the curmudgeonly character.[9] The appearance of Carl was designed to resemble Spencer Tracy as he appeared in his final film, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner.[10] When they met Asner and presented him with a model of his character, he joked, "I don't look anything like that." The stories of ancient times and Greece the titans. This movie i could watch time and time again. With Zeus’s son Hercules being born he has his god like powers taken from him. All but his strength of course but it is not enough to keep him in with the gods. They send him to earth where he is raised, as a young man he is clumsy and not sure of himself or who he is. Then he finds out he is the son of Zeus and it told to begin to train so he can earn a way back to be by his father’s side. Along the way he meets Meg who he falls in love with but she is in debt with the devil himself hades. That doesn’t stop Hercules from almost killing himself to save her which makes him a god. He chooses to stay human so he can live on earth with Meg of course.

Tate Donovan as <a It tells of a young black girl Tiana who lives in New Orleans dreaming of opening her own restaurant. She works two jobs to save money to do this sacrificing a lot of time with no thoughts of finding love. Who doesn’t want to be their own boss and run a business. I feel this resembles Walt himself with a dont give up attitude and not wanting to work for anyone other than himself. Anyway young prince gets caught up in some Vodou magic and gets turned into a frog. In the end Tiana kiss the frog and the prince helps her get the restaurant so it has the happy ending we all come to love from Disney.

Anika Noni Rose as Tiana Rogers, a 19-year-old African American waitress who dreams of owning her own restaurant. It now has a cultural following like a lot of the older Disney movies that kids of my generation the 80’s babies, watched growing up. Now that a lot of us have kids of our own we can relate to goofy im this movie and it’s fun to watch with our kids. This movie is about max goofys son that is in school and trying to impress the girl of his dreams. Him and his friends set it up so max goes and does an impression of the ever popular power line but gets caught by the principal. Facing getting expelled his dad goofy feels a road trip across county is just what he needs. Of course it is what goofys dad did with him as all of us can relate to and along the way the trip is anything but fun or ordinary.

Bill The story of Peter Pan good versus evil, fighting pirates and two young boys get to go on the adventure of a lifetime. Wendy their older sister would tell them bed time stories of Peter and all of his adventures and one night Peter comes back to find his lost shadow. He takes all three of them back to never land so they could see what a wonderful place it is. John and Michael get captured by Indians because they thought the lost boys took the Chiefs daughter Tiger Lilly. Peter rescued Tigerlily and the boys and then they go after Captain Hook for all of the trouble. In the end, Captain Hook and Peter Pan do it until Captain Hook falls into the water and the crocodile chases him away.

Bobby Although I didn’t watch it until later in life I love the music, the colors, and of course the presence of Mickey himself. This one is going to get the copy and paste treatment as well.

Disney settled on the film's concept in 1938 as work neared completion on The Sorcerer's Apprentice, originally an elaborate Silly Symphony cartoon designed as a comeback role for Mickey Mouse, who had declined in popularity. As production costs surpassed what the short could earn, Disney decided to include it in a feature-length film of multiple segments set to classical pieces with Stokowski and Taylor as collaborators. The soundtrack was recorded using multiple audio channels and reproduced with Fantasound, a pioneering sound system developed by Disney and RCA that made Fantasia the first commercial film shown in stereo and a precursor to surround sound.

Fantasia was first released as a theatrical roadshow that was held in 13 cities across the U.S. between 1940 and 1941 by RKO Radio Pictures; the first began at the Broadway Theatre in New York City on November 13, 1940. While acclaimed by critics, it failed to make a profit owing to World War II cutting off distribution to the European market, the film's high production costs, and the expense of building Fantasound equipment and leasing theatres for roadshow presentations. Since 1942, the film has been reissued multiple times by RKO Radio Pictures and Buena Vista Distribution, with its original footage and audio being deleted, modified, or restored in each version. When adjusted for inflation, Fantasiais the 23rd highest-grossing film of all time in the U.S.

The Fantasia franchise has grown to include video games, Disneyland attractions, and a live concert series. A sequel, Fantasia 2000, co-produced by Walt Disney's nephew Roy E. Disney, was released in 1999. Fantasia has grown in reputation over the years and is now widely acclaimed as one of the greatest animated films of all time; in 1998, the American Film Institute ranked it as the 58th greatest American film in their 100 Years...100 Movies and the fifth greatest animated film in their 10 Top 10 list. In 1990, Fantasia was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the <a Now I get to show my age right lol but I could never get enough i still watch it without needing an excuse of having my own kid. There is just something about it almost a Sherlock Holmes kind feel that whisk you away to that time and place. Yes I love this movie but I can’t do it justice by giving a good summary so once again I give you copy and paste. Let me know what you think of my top ten and maybe do your own this was fun and could probably do it a hundred different ways but always land on this as number one.

In 1897 London, a young mouse named Olivia Flaversham celebrates her birthday with her single father, Mr. Flaversham, who is a gifted toymaker. A bat with a crippled wing and a peg leg arrives and kidnaps Flaversham. Olivia leaves to find Basil of Baker Street, the famous Great Mouse Detective. David Q. Dawson, a retired army surgeon mouse newly returned from Afghanistan, meets Olivia and escorts her to Basil's residence.

Basil initially dismisses them, but when Olivia mentions the bat that abducted her father, Basil realizes that Olivia saw Fidget, the assistant of Professor Ratigan, the criminal mastermind whom Basil was working to catch. It is then revealed that Ratigan kidnapped Flaversham to force him to create a clockwork robot replica of the Queen of the Mice, so that Ratigan can usurp her place as "Supreme Ruler of all Mousedom". Flaversham initially refuses to participate in the scheme, but capitulates when Ratigan threatens to harm Olivia.

Fidget appears in Basil's window, then suddenly disappears. Basil, Dawson and Olivia take Toby, Sherlock Holmes' pet Basset Hound, to trail Fidget's scent. They trace the bat to a human-sized toyshop. While searching the area, Dawson finds Fidget's checklist, and Basil discovers Fidget has been stealing clockwork mechanisms and toy soldiers' uniforms. Fidget ambushes and kidnaps Olivia before Basil and Dawson can stop him.

Basil conducts chemical tests to the checklist, discovering it came from the "Rat Trap", a tavern near the junction of the sewer and the Thames. Basil and Dawson disguise themselves as sailors and head to the tavern. They spot Fidget, and follow him to Ratigan's headquarters, only to be ambushed by Ratigan and his henchmen. Ratigan has the pair tied to a spring-loaded mousetrap connected to a Rube Goldberg machine of various killing devices. Ratigan then sets out for Buckingham Palace, where his henchmen hijack the royal guards' roles and kidnap the Mouse Queen. Inspired by a remark Dawson made, Basil deduces the trap's weakness, freeing himself, Dawson and Olivia.

At Buckingham Palace, Ratigan forces Flaversham to operate the toy Queen, while the real one is taken to be fed to Felicia, Ratigan's pet cat. The toy Queen declares Ratigan the ruler of all Mousedom, and he announces his dictatorial plans for his new "subjects". After Basil, Dawson, and Olivia save Flaversham and the real Queen, they restrain Fidget and Ratigan's other henchmen, while Toby chases Felicia until she jumps over a wall, into a pack of Royal Guard Dogs. Basil seizes control of the mechanical queen, making it denounce Ratigan as a fraud while breaking it into pieces. Realizing Ratigan's treason, the enraged crowd attacks, but Ratigan escapes on his dirigible with Fidget, holding Olivia hostage.

Basil, Dawson, and Flaversham create an airship from a matchbox, balloons, and a Union Jack, setting off in pursuit. Ratigan tosses Fidget overboard to lighten the load. Basil jumps onto the dirigible to confront Ratigan, causing it to crash straight into Big Ben's clockface. Inside the clocktower, Basil restrains Ratigan, rescues Olivia, and safely delivers her to Flaversham. Ratigan breaks free and attacks Basil, just before the clock strikes 10:00; the vibrations cause Ratigan to fall to his death. He attempts to take Basil with him, but Basil grabs a part of Ratigan's dirigible and saves himself.

Back at Baker Street, the group recounts their adventures. The Flavershams bid a fond farewell and leave to catch their train. Dawson reluctantly resolves to leave as well, until a new distressed client arrives. Basil introduces Dawson to her as his friend and investigative partner, prompting Dawson to remain and assist in Basil's future cases.

Vincent Price as Professor Ratigan, a villainous rat who hates being reminded of being one, and Basil's long-established arch-enemy.[5][6]

Barrie Ingham as Basil, a brilliant mouse detective from London's Baker Street.

Ingham also voices Bartholomew, a drunken mouse lackey of Ratigan.

Val Bettin as David Q. He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.”

These are gods commandments that we acknowledge that the lord is god and his son is Jesus. Jesus is the messiah the chosen one, the right hand of the lord god our father, and the maker of heaven and earth. God made all of us along with every animal of every kind, day and night, the sun and moon. With it being that he made the first humans Adam and Eve then came the rest of us we all belong to god. We are all gods children, and his sheep he looks after us with tender love and care. Most importantly his love and mercy without that we would all go to hell because of our failures and mistakes. Jesus is our Shepherd he came to earth to take the way our sins and to show all of us gods true works. Being sheep does not make us weak nobody comes into this world knowing everything and last time I checked there are still things to learn so we need a teacher. That teacher is the one who has gone before us and knew the way our Shepard or king Jesus.

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭4‬ ‭

“For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ!

Matt h

“For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace.”

So many religions and people say that there is a law of god or we have to abide in his law. God never wrote down any laws or told his people to live by a set of rules. They are commandments by if you break one there is no sentence attached to it. We have gods mercy and love thats all that is needed. If we don’t know Jesus then we don’t know god and if we don’t know god then we don’t know Jesus. Trying to keep to a set of laws is asking for failure so many of us break the laws set before us. Adam was the first man to sin and since then there has been but one man who knew no sin. The devil tempted him for forty days and forty nights but never wavered. That if course is Jesus he himself did not follow any law he was gods son who only answered to god all mighty.

Gods gift

Gods gift to the world was his son Jesus who died for our sins.

Matt h

Gods gift to the world was his son Jesus who died for our sins. That is one of gods greatest gifts although the people from or past and the wrongs we have left with them still linger. God forgives us when we repent and ask for forgiveness he will immediately. Unfortunately people are not so quick to forgive or forget the wrongs we have done or pain we have caused. The way I see it is they don’t know thats what god does or care to change their heart. God sees you just where you are at without making your voice heard in public.

I want

I want,

Matt h

I want,

Nothing more than what is given

Nothing unless I ask god first

Nothing is that isn’t guaranteed

I want,

To be healthy

To be a good influence

To be an inspiration

I want,

God to know I have repented

God to see my true values

God to bless my life

I want,

More people to see my writing

More time to reflect

More time with god

I want,

The words of god spoken to me often

The truth of gods word

The evils in the world to be diminished

I want,

Jesus in my life everyday

Jesus to show me how to live

Jesus to come back

We mustn’t want things just for ourselves

Family

The word family is so broad now and days because they are so blended also mixed.

Matt h

The word family is so broad now and days because they are so blended also mixed. None the less it still means closeness and should not be separated by the small problems. What about the big problems that tend to happen we are suppose to support our family members forgive. Forgiveness is to given as it is received which shall be upheld through out all family. When a matriarch dies many families fall apart or have a major fallout. Who gets how much money, or the house whatever the problem is that really what it comes to? They would not want us to be at odds because of these things they shouldn’t drive us apart! We need to remember that we are stronger than the issues at hand and must stay together as families. I have not seen some of my family members in decades but they still are cousins, uncles, and aunts. I won’t forget my family members any time soon and pray every day that the past will be forgiven. Let the families that have had problems come back together and remember what matters the most!

Psalms‬ ‭113‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭

“Everywhere—from east to west— praise the name of the Lord.

Matt h

“Everywhere—from east to west— praise the name of the Lord. When we all come together no matter race, color, or creed god should be worshiped. God is above all nations and of all the earth forever, his glory cant be measured. He has no limit on his love or grace it is for anyone and everyone always. No person is to good or bad all you need to do is acknowledge him and praise his name. There is no president or leader that is greater or has more power than him. If you are not willing to praise god in public, then do it in private it is between you and him. That is all that matters is to praise his name whether it be on a mountain top or at the bottom of the ocean. Now should we wash each other’s feet depends how comfortable you are with one another. In some sense it is set as an example if someone helped you at some point in your life or in some little way pass it forward. It does not have to be exactly the same thing but get creative or simply think what would you like someone to do for you. Of course it might have to start with you it takes an act kindness also courage to set the example. Look in the bible see where a good starting point is or for an example. Jesus helped so many people and did many miracles although we all aren’t capable of the miraculous things take what can be done.

My words

My words mean nothing unless they are read and are useful to someone else.

Matt h

My words mean nothing unless they are read and are useful to someone else. I will never forget that day although I was not directly affected by the events of that day. My heart hurt for those lives that were lost in one foul act of terror. Watching people plunge to their death because there was no escape and no way out. I have watched every movie also documentary of the people that survived and the accounts from the aftermath. I personally have been to the 9/11 memorial in New York City three times it feels very eerie. The effects of that day are still felt by the families and friends of the victims. What happened also is people started to look at the Arab Nations differently. I for one don’t agree with any kind discrimination or generalization of any religion, race, or creed. These were a few people with an Idealistic mission from the devil himself. Let us not forget the names of these lives that were lost ever because if any generation forgets history is bound to repeat itself! May god bless all those who were affected from that day, may he bring peace and comforting in some way. Although it will be the twenty fifth anniversary coming up it lingers in the minds that it has had a lasting impact on. Thank you to all the firefighters, first responders, police, and even pastors that went into those buildings. They are forever hero’s that don’t get any kind of metals for bravery or acts of valor.

Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬-‭13‬

“Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires.

Matt h

“Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.”

‭These two verses speak for themselves and what I written about a lot. Letting ourselves be controlled by the sins of this world and the temptations of this world. Dont let your eyes wander if you are married, dont let your hands slip that candy bar in your pocket, and dont let lust cover your heart. There are plenty more but I just listed a few and in the same way we can use our bodies for good. If we are fully capable use your hands to carry an elderly persons groceries, help them walk across the street, or even visit a nursing home. Is there not more we can do good with our bodies if we do one bad thing it leads to another. It will lead to person where you will no longer be useful to anyone, but if we do good. Then others will see what we are doing and follow along, doing good deeds is contagious.
