In the fallout, his supporters blamed the white academic who “revealed” his obvious lies. They likewise chastised Arday’s critics as racists.

At the same time, roughly 3,500 miles away at the WNBA Headquarters in New York City, the leaders of the women’s sporting organization came together to determine how they would define the term “woman.” An essential concept for the WNBA. After much deliberation, these experts, themselves women, could not settle on a working definition.

Upon being disillusioned about the reality of Jason Arday in Cambridge, academics expressed anger at his outing. Presumably, they would rather Arday was not only still working as an academic, but also that his fantasies had remained unspoiled by the intrusion of truth. There is no concern for the damage Arday’s deceptions did to the reputation of Cambridge as a school, the so-called academics who run it, and Western academia in general.

For the sake of racial equity and justice, they would prefer to have both the liar and his lies back among the quadrangles of Cambridge.

The leadership of the WNBA is likewise working hard to preserve something that is not real: the nonsensical belief that gender is a social construct that has nothing to do with biology or laws of physics and kinesiology. Ironically, athletics was the very same field in which Jason Arday worked.

A Trait Peculiar to the Left

For decades, the Right has been aware that the Left is increasingly unreachable through rational argument and debate. There’s a growing sense between both groups that the two sides are becoming more alienated from each other. The root of that word, “alien” refers to one who is an outsider to the main group.

In the context of our politics, it’s not a strong enough term. An alien, whether they’re from another country or another planet, shares with us an existence in a universe with the same laws of physics. We may have different ideas or technologies but at the end of the day we both acknowledge the force of gravity as a real thing, for example.

The divide between the Right and the Left is much more profound than this. We may live together, but we do not share the same reality. Many of you utter similar statements, having experienced the same profound disconnect. The phenomenon of Lindsay Clancy fangirls is just one more of myriad recent examples.

The horrifying upshot of this alienness means we share so little in common as to be on the brink of a total breakdown in communications and within society itself.

We’ve seen this. We’ve felt this.

We instinctively understand this difference and point to the Left’s evident emotionalism or mental instability. Both are well-documented traits but that doesn’t mean this isn’t both a real and hugely disconcerting crisis.

If you read my Substack, you’ll notice that I’ve spent a lot of time exploring what is at the root of this disconnect. Like all the other Conservative thinkers, we reference phenomena like mind control,1 cults, poor parenting, sin, corruption, and lack of religion as possible sources of our difficulties. These explanations all feel highly resonant, but none satisfies as a unifying theory. It’s clear that not everyone on the Left is the victim of mind control, for example, and there are still some who demonstrate a considerable capacity for self-awareness, independent thought, reason, and understanding.

So I started asking myself questions about these “high-functioning” Leftists. Honest questions like, “Why would they knowingly lie?” or “How can they go from understanding something highly technical to being completely clueless the minute they’re asked to define the word woman?” or “Why do people who obviously love money willingly burn through so much of the stuff?”

To borrow some graduate school-level sounding gobbledygook, the approach gradually became a psycho-philosophical anthropological examination of our contemporaries on the Left.

And I think I’ve struck pay dirt. I’d love to hear your counter arguments in the comments, because I don’t want to develop this concept in a vacuum. Right now, however, this feels like the Unifying Theory of Leftist Insanity in that it explains so much about the most befuddling aspects of Leftist behavior.

Shockingly, this new theory means the disconnect between Right and Left isn’t primarily the result of religious or even political differences. The real issue begins with our different metaphysical assumptions because we disagree about what it takes for something to exist, what types of things truly exist, and about the underlying nature of existence itself.

People on the Right tend to refer to the physical and material world as “reality” or at least, reality as we all experience it. 2 Drive a car into a brick wall at top speeds, and the physical reality tells us the car and any occupants may be destroyed. You must blow on hot coffee before taking a sip. Women have double-X chromosomes and this means they can experience childbirth with the tradeoff of being weaker and more physically dependent on a man.

All of these can be known through experience, observation, and experimentation. The whole project of science (scientia - meaning knowledge) is to learn about reality as it exists objectively through our senses so that we may gain a fuller understanding of its nature.

There are many terms for this assumption. In sociology, it’s referred to as Social Constructionism or Social Constructivism. In philosophy, it’s a type of thinking associated with Philosophical Idealism, or Subjective Idealism. Those who study epistemology, psychology, or the philosophy of science might refer to it as Constructivism or even Radical Constructivism.

For this piece, I’m going to refer to it as “Anti-Realism” not because these ideas deny reality outright, but because they hold it subordinate to some internal human process be it emotion, will, imagination, or interpretation.

There’s actually some scientific support for the Anti-Realist assumption. The “Observer Effect” in quantum physics says quantum particles appear to alter depending on whether or not they’re being observed.3 Seminal philosophers like Kant and Berkeley develop idealism to argue that reality is fundamentally mental or immaterial, rather than physical. Both philosophers reject the idea that a mind-independent physical world is the ultimate reality.

In other words, this idea that reality is participatory or enactive isn’t the product of the insane or irrational. And perhaps many of those who wrote or researched these concepts would have some stern warning for the current day Anti-Realists, but the evidence before our eyes is that this assumption about the malleability of reality naturally leads to a psychotic break with it.

And it is the ever-increasing number of people who cannot admit objective reality exists that is causing Western civilization to dematerialize before our very eyes.

These days, you don’t need to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars getting an Ivy League philosophy degree to lose your mind to Anti-Realism. Much of our technology, particularly leisure technology, emulates it.

People will slave at their jobs all week only to escape that drudgery by jumping onto a server every weekend to indulge in fantasy lives on curated “worlds” with “friends” they’ve never met in real life. AI programs can make one’s wildest fantasies seem photo-real. A few words in a prompt, and suddenly visions are externally realized. Entire generations of children have spent more time with their eyes glued to screens than looking at the actual world around them.

And because it’s an assumption borne of popular society, it’s both invisible and unarticulated even by the most ardent Anti-Realists.

And Anti-Realism is, at its very core, destructive. It is harmful to individuals. It is harmful to our families. It is harmful to our society, our religion, and ultimately our civilization.

That the Left has broken with reality is not a new criticism. It is the truth behind the red pill meme inspired by The Matrix movie. One group chooses to acknowledge reality, the other chooses to be blind to it.

Unfortunately, that metaphor is incomplete. This is not the Matrix where taking the red pill spits you out of the server to experience objective physical reality. All of us, whether red or blue-pilled, are still forced to live and work together.4

But we can’t. Anti-Realism comes with some additional extreme cultural burdens that Realists consider non-starters.

When I first started studying Japanese, I balked when my professor informed us that Japanese language and Japanese culture were inseparable. The idea was an affront of my sense of our shared humanity and personal freedom. One could, I reasoned, speak Japanese but remain quintessentially American. I was wrong. The language and the culture each inform the other, creating a unique unitary whole. To inject too much gaijin (outsider) thinking does violence to both.

With their Constructivism and Subjective Idealism, it’s clear the Left too has developed a language of their own that informs their unique and alien culture. But more than that, Anti-Reality assumptions necessarily have a profound influence on how one interacts with reality.

I’d like to give a few examples.

Free Speech

The Left boasts of their tolerance while simultaneously shutting down free speech. This has happened across college campuses throughout the country. Charlie Kirk was even murdered for engaging in free speech and debate.

To an Anti-Realist, however, it’s not a contradiction to claim to be tolerant while at the same time acting intolerant towards those engaging in speech with which they disagree.

Why?

Telling a trans person they can never overcome the genetics coded into each and every cell of their body is therefore not gifting them with truth, but tearing down their fantasy. You’re not just challenging their assumptions, you’re denying them their godhood over the fantasy that they’ve created about their life.

To their minds, it’s a destructive act. One that not only inflicts pain on them, but also fractures their reality – one that they’ve carefully curated and crafted.

There is thus no separation between word and reality as there is for Realists. To the Anti-Realist, the two are on an equal level and mutually supporting. Words are “violence” but actual violence is not violence. Words destroy whole worlds. But punching only impacts the physical body.

They believe that certain speech, i.e. speech that is true, is extreme violence because merely uttering certain inconvenient truths has the power to disrupt, even destroy their fantasy world. For example, “trans genocide” is a term invoked to describe not violent actions, but rather the words that demolish the fantasy that a human being can morph into whatever gender they choose. So all speech must be strictly regulated out of a duty to protect the delicate realities of those most vulnerable to the truth. This is the “virtue” that is signaled when Leftists go along with someone’s obvious delusion.

Lying, Manipulation, and Woke

In an earlier piece that inspired my epiphany on Anti-Realism, I criticized director Christopher Nolan for his endorsement of the concept of the noble lie. That’s the idea that falsehood can be disseminated to achieve a common good. Such thinking is inimical to traditional concepts regarding truth and morality.

A lie can serve a noble function only if one has already embraced the concept that mass consensus can in subtle ways manifest (or help to manifest) a desired change in reality. “If enough people think it, it becomes true” is an idea that has roots in propaganda and advertising. It’s also widely employed by the media.5

The media knowingly lied about Russian collusion in 2016, about COVID, about the vaccine, about immigration, health, and crime. Even when caught in those lies, the media shrugged it off as if it was all an accident or big misunderstanding. Note the shocked tone of Jake Tapper’s book on Biden’s obvious mental decline. Though he was part of the apparatus that perpetuated the falsehood, Jake Tapper still claims innocence.

Which is another lie, unsurprisingly enough.

Even now, Hollywood is still engaged in the castigation of straight white male heroes. It doesn’t matter that this project is wildly unpopular and loses millions of dollars every year. What matters is that images of the denigration of our heroes are injected into our “popular” culture. The goal is to change the reality surrounding straight White men one movie at a time.6

The purpose isn’t to make money. It’s to shape perception in order to groom larger numbers of people into accepting their construct. Social “nudging” is a popular concept among the Left that posits whole societies can be intellectually terraformed over time to become something vastly different that what they used to be.

This is why the WNBA will never clearly define what a woman is. As long as the people in charge hold to their Anti-Realism, the truth cannot be told even if they know the truth about gender and understand it in their personal lives. The vulnerable reality for the WNBA leadership isn’t the truth about gender. It’s the truth about whether or not they are actually kind and good people.7

The WNBA’s created reality centers around their self-perception as good, tolerant people. They cannot consider themselves good if they turn on trans people and commit the ultimate violence of smashing their universes by voicing truth. Doing so collapses both the trans and the “I’m a kind person” realities.

Thus the two constructs are mutually affirming even though not necessarily mutually dependent.

This brings us to our next point.

High and Low Functioning Anti-Realists

Notice the Anti-Realist position is still reliant on the existence of an objective reality. High-functioning Anti-Realists can easily accomplish things like work, earn money, take care of themselves, and contribute to society.

The distinction is that these Anti-Realists (like Christopher Nolan) understand that in order to mentally re-construct reality, there has to be something to reconstruct in the first place. The true difference in metaphysical assumptions between Realists and Anti-Realists is that for Anti-Realists objectively existing reality is there, but in an unfinished state.

Perceiving and interpreting completes the picture. And when the picture is completed, so is the reality. There’s a tacit understanding among the high-functioning Anti-Realists that there is in fact a fundamental difference between male and female for example (I keep using the trans issue as an example because they are so clear) but that, in the end, one’s personal input can augment that reality.8

But this requires one thing that objective reality does not: individual assent.

For Realists, that belief or lack thereof is irrelevant. Insufficient belief in the power of gravity cannot save anyone who steps off a nine-story tower. It just is.

This dynamic is why consensus is so important for the Left because the words of a truth-teller can effectively turn off gravity, depending on the truth and the fantasy it crushes.

The problem with the WNBA isn’t that they’re incapable of understanding the truth about gender. They do. The problem is that they’re incapable of saying that truth.

The reality of gender does not threaten the women who run the WNBA but admitting to it publicly does.

High-functioning Anti-Realists acknowledge objective reality to varying degrees and in different areas of their lives. Those areas most affected by their belief in the malleability of reality are generally those which serve their perception of themselves. If it’s important to be a gender other than what you are, then the sphere most affected is that of gender identity. If it’s important to feel nurturing and protective, then the sphere most affected is that of seeming kind.

At the low-functioning end are the Jason Ardays, the trans jihadi Eric Austins, or any of the myriad suicidally empathetic AWFLs determined to open our borders to infinity rapists. These are people whose inability to grapple with objective reality ultimately consumes and dooms them.

Because Anti-Realism is preferably employed as a tool to boost one’s ego, it can utterly overwhelm the Anti-Realist, breaking them from physical reality. They become like a person in the VR headset, immersed in a non-existent world. Immersed in their fantasy, they become oblivious to the true reality around them.

In reality, the disaster is no mere pratfall. As was the case for Jason Arday and so many others, death becomes an almost inevitable result.

The End Game

This is why Anti-Realists have such a well-established record for violence. Sometimes it’s revenge against a world and the Realists who impinged on their constructs. Sometimes it’s in the name of protecting the constructed realities of others, as was evidently true in the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

When dealing with an Anti-Realist, the stakes in an ordinary conversation are so much higher. (Remember: they’re not people like us. They’re characters.) Their reactions are likewise extreme and irrational. A constructed reality doesn’t have the benefit of permanent undeniable existence like objective reality. It must be curated and cared for. It is at once a product and work in progress.

But the propensity to violence isn’t the only problem.

By preemptively shutting down dialog, Anti-Realists cut themselves off from civilized problem resolution protocols. They threaten, cancel, censor, and jail. Until they can’t. Increasing frustration with the Anti-Realist regime of political oppression and censorship has led to the resurgence of North Ireland’s IRA to remove immigrants from the country.

Elsewhere in Europe and around the world, the fires of hostility are being stoked as people who are deprived of petitioning their government for redress of wrongs turn to vigilantism.

It turns out one can only be nudged so far.

Because there is no longer hope that Anti-Realists and Realists can share the same space in any meaningful way. People who believe in the existence of things like genes and physical matter cannot coexist with those who glibly brush such ideas off as racist or sexist.

The differences grow more stark by the day. A society cannot have justice if the primary determining factor of a murder’s guilt is the color of their skin or their gender. Even if she confessed.

Like the leaders of the WNBA, Anti-Realists can neither relent nor debate. And with all communication blocked, violence becomes the last avenue of conflict resolution. Realists are thus left with fewer options.

So we run around fighting the effects of this metaphysical conundrum advocating for things like meritocracy, a single-tier legal system, classical learning, immigration enforcement, and protecting women and children from the real world impacts of trans ideology.

In defense of the Anti-Realist perspective one might quote Shakespeare’s Hamlet who says, “There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.”

But this was a statement not about the changeability of reality itself as it was about the changeability of one’s attitude.

In view of our current conundrum, I think it’s best to point out that Anti-Realism is a problem where refusing to think about it will definitely not make it go away.

Alas, since those optimistic musings I have been thoroughly disabused of this pope’s business acumen with the realization that Pope Leo will be anything but conciliatory towards tradition, the Church’s strongest growth segment. He’s made a spectacle of himself generally diffusing the authority of his office and promoting an agenda that waters down the already watered-down teachings of the Faith.

Regarding the traditionalists Catholics, he’s made it abundantly clear that there’s no place in the Church for us. He seems to be toying with the idea of making Vatican II an essential article of faith that one must assent to in order to be Catholic.

While embracing celebrities who are pro-abortion or Satanic, he has also attempted to excommunicate the bishops of the Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX), a group I don’t belong to but nonetheless strongly sympathize with. That order of excommunication included vague language purporting to excommunicate the entire society including all priests and laity. Most canonical attorneys agree the letter as-written lacks any legal force.

It’s reasonable to believe the lack of clarity is calculated. Weaponized ambiguity was a favorite tool of the Francis papacy: say one thing, do another, and maybe write something else that supports neither.

Pope Leo has embraced this method as his own. While the SSPX bishops were excommunicated for undergoing consecration without Vatican approval, in the People’s Republic of China, which is run by militantly atheistic Communists, bishops consecrated without Vatican approval by the secular government church were later confirmed, by the Vatican.

So we have two unauthorized consecrations of bishops, but two radically different responses.

We can’t forget the continued push in Germany for women priests, despite the Vatican admonition against this. Public stunts where women join priests at the altar during the mass or give homilies are all clear violations, but no punishment or harsh words from Rome reach the ears of those bishops who encouraged it.

Perhaps one complicating factor here is the legal reality that, in Germany, the state has some influence over the operation of religious organizations within their borders under a principle called staatskirchenrecht (state-church law). Major denominations like the Protestant and Catholic churches operate as public corporations granting them influence in certain government bodies while at the same time allowing the government a degree of influence over those institutions. One good example of this give-and-take is the German church tax which requires major religions to give money to the State which then reciprocates with resources doled out to the churches.

Could this be why the Vatican won’t speak up regarding German bishops’ shenanigans? Perhaps the consecration of women priests is a government objective being pushed behind the scenes.

It should also be pointed out that research shows 81% of the American Catholic Church’s income comes not from the tithing faithful, but from pro-immigration government grants and programs. A fact that colors the American bishops’ as well as Pope Leo’s open-borders advocacy. It also reveals the pope’s poor business decisions. The Church has already thrown in with the American Democrat party over the wishes of the American faithful or even the safety of Americans and immigrants alike.

Taken together, the three examples of China, Germany, and the US paint a very clear operating principle: this Catholic Church is eager to bend to soft power in order to shore up access to government money.

The picture is dispiriting. It’s hard to imagine a time in history outside of the scandals preceding the Protestant Reformation where the Catholic Church has been more brazenly corrupt.

But hear me out. There’s a silver lining here for traditionalists.

If soft power is the reason why the Church is bent on enacting synodal “reforms,” if soft power is the force behind the equivocation of the various types of “marriage,” if soft power is aggressively pushing secular radical feminist initiatives that vandalize the priesthood and the mass, then who is to say soft power can’t remedy the situation?

Premier Xi pushes for Communist bishops, and China gets Communist bishops. Germany pushes for inclusivity at the altar, and the Vatican turns a blind eye. American Democrats want to launder money through immigration initiatives and so the Church happily plays along, will of the people be damned.

Now if you’re a conservative like me, you’re probably feeling a bit squeamish about this church-state interaction. After all, if we allow the State into the Church, we’re sure to court state control of the Church in the future.

It’s arguable this could lead to an erosion of first amendment rights and our freedom of religion as is the case in China or Germany.

Nobody wants that. I think we can all agree on that point.

The government exercising diplomatic powers to push the Vatican to allow for more traditional Catholic practices within our borders is not undue interference that infringes on Americans’ freedom to worship. Quite the contrary, by ensuring broader access to more types of masses, the government creates another bulwark defending those rights. It protects the rights of American Catholics to worship in the manner they choose, giving them more access and thus broader freedom of religion.

We’re more comfortable with the idea of the State being the oppressor and the Church playing the hero. But that’s not the current situation at all. It’s the Church that’s in the oppressor role here.

Therefore, it is conceivable that the State could step in to protect what the Vatican does not: traditional practices and traditional teachings.

Under this arrangement, the US Department of State could pressure the Vatican into not only reversing the excommunication of the SSPX bishops and loosening restrictions on the traditional Latin mass, but the government could even go so far as to pressure the Vatican into doing something practically unheard of in this age: recognize a new rite.

Traditional Catholicism could develop into the foundation of a uniquely American way of Catholic worship.

In times past, we would both hope and expect the Vatican to resist such exercises of secular influence, but the examples of China, Germany, and the Globalist immigration regime clearly demonstrate today’s Church lacks any such mettle. Our problem is faithful Catholics wait idly by while the enemies of Western civilization avail themselves to levers of power which we eschew.

The Traditional Latin Mass is a powerful antidote for the ills of the modern age. Families who attend these masses are larger and more stable. Catechetics are also more grounded and less influenced by current age frippery. Generally speaking the practice of religion in these groups is taken more seriously and a lot of work is done to both protect and practice traditions that are fast fading from the modern synodal church. These traditions built the West into what it is. And they hold the West together today, despite the global decline of Christianity.

And when you think about it, all these are qualities which are beneficial to the state and to the general social order. A nation well-oriented around strong traditional Christianity is less likely to hand their sons over to ghouls for surgical mutilation or their daughters to endless numbers of rapists. Such a society preserves freedoms, practices patriotism, and is culturally confident enough not to fall prey to atheistic or cult fads.

The state has a vested interest in making such religion more widespread and its free practice more available to her people. Thus the leveraging of soft power in this regard is both legitimate and warranted. The necessity for a resurgence of traditionalism could even be put in national security terms.

If such pressure were successful, I would expect more nations to follow suit with their own pressure campaigns. There’s a real possibility for a global synergy to develop here. Nations like Argentina, the UK, and Italy could easily engage in soft power pressure campaigns not only in the sphere of international diplomacy, but within those countries themselves where the line between church and state is not as brightly delineated as it is normally is in the US.

Imagine the irony of the UK government that previously tortured Catholic priests to death now promoting a liturgy it once drove underground.

The situation of Catholic Traditionalists is much like that of the J6ers under Biden – persecuted by the very institution we fought and suffered for. Conservatives of every religious stripe can relate to the pangs of injustice and frustration this circumstance engenders. Much like the Biden regime, today’s Church leadership is dippy and unserious. Given the overall societal benefit of the widespread practice of a potent patriarchal Christianity liturgy, the return of serious religion is something I think we can all agree will benefit the souls of our fellow citizens and thus our nation.

Karmelo and I are alike in several ways. This latest episode where he was taken by deputies to his holding cell is but one example.

We’ve both had one of those days where it was the last day where you wake up in your own bed. That day where, for the first time in your life, you “sleep” in a cell of about 10 other people on the floor with a paltry blanket and a miserable excuse for a pillow in a room lined with toilets and urinals. A room where the lights stay on all night.

Welcome to prison. Your first priority is just to try to get some sleep. Not an easy task given the endless screaming coming from the suicide watch cell across the hall. But you you have to try. Sleep keeps your mind fresh and your body rested and you need both wits and strength in prison.

But that’s not the only thing I have in common with Karmelo. At one point in my life, I was ensnared in the same mental trap that cost Austin Metcalf his life and Karmelo Anthony his freedom.

In 1993, I studied abroad in Japan where I got to experience life as the proverbial big, dumb, white foreigner. At 6’2” and over 200 lbs, I’m big for an American. But in Japan, I was a kaiju: large, loud, alien, and frightening.

Needless to say, my first six months in Japan were a time of intense adjustment. Everything seemed to remind me that I was a vulgar, despised eyesore. My Japanese girlfriend warned me that her dad hated me because I was a foreigner. People on the trains looked at me like I was going to stomp them underfoot. People would stare with wide eyes whispering to each other while pulling their children close.

I even got kicked out of a beachside bar for being a gaijin (the Japanese word for “foreigner”). It was on the shore of Lake Biwa in the old castle town of Hikone. It’s a tiny place known exactly for Lake Biwa and the old Hikone castle. We bellied up to the bar and the hip young man with carefully coiffed, spiky hair, bleached blonde at the tips, looked up as we approached, and gently waved his hand before his face in that trademark Japanese gesture, used when, for example, refusing a hostess’s offer of tea, or, apparently, warding off gaijin: “Damé, damé” (“No, no.” ). Suspicious, I asked, “Gaijin desu kara?” (“Is it because we’re foreigners?”) The bartender grunted and nodded, “Un.” Embarrassed and deflated, we left quickly.

I felt stupider and more conspicuous by the day. I wanted nothing more than to become Asian, so I could at least appear Japanese enough to fit in. Well, as long as I kept my dumb, foreigner mouth closed at any rate. But no amount of slouching could hide my towering form and it soon became apparent that no matter where I went, I didn’t belong.

Which in some cases also meant I physically didn’t fit.

The constant self-obsession over what people thought of me was both humiliating and overwhelming. As a naive college student, I handled it the way the American Left teaches us to respond to being a minority. I began to hate everyone. Every sidelong glance was racist. Every whisper was racist. Everyone everywhere hated me. Everyone was a racist.

So I gave back hate for hate. Resentment over my victimhood status grew as it became a way of life. I became hostile and curt with Japanese people I suspected were discriminating against me. In doing so, I stupidly played into the very stereotype I imagined they held about me.

Then, one day, while riding my bike to school, a dog barked from the neighbor’s yard. I seethed. I felt the bile of resentment rise up.

“That dog is barking at me because I’m white,” I thought. I believed the dog had been trained to hate the color of my skin. It was alerting its owners to the presence of the big dumb foreigner!

It was at that moment, something inside me snapped. Somewhere deep in my soul, my reason rose up from its slumber and mildly asked, can a dog really be racist? It’s a dog.

My pique calmed, and it dawned on me that I was being absurd. Waves of relief cascaded over me in that moment as rationality took the helm. The coils of tension in my shoulders unwound. My psyche was freed.

“It’s a dog,” my mind repeated. “Dogs bark.”

A simple idea. One that had me suddenly questioning every previous assumption I was using to poison my own soul.

Sure, I looked unusual. And maybe even startling to some.

But that’s not racism. That’s a reaction to novelty.

I had no evidence that people hated me for my race. I had evidence that I was a rare foreigner in a small town on an insular island country. Japan never had slavery. They never grabbed Europeans from the shores of the Volga to sell in the Middle Eastern slave trade; they never used religion and violence to sell their fellow countrymen into slavery as the Aro Confederacy did in Eastern Nigeria. The Japanese weren’t like our own home grown confederacy: they had no race-based lynchings or the Ku Klux Klan. The Japanese people weren’t going to threaten me just because of the color of my skin. None of their history or culture mapped onto the narratives I told myself. Those Leftist narratives about race didn’t apply. At all.

My girlfriend’s dad knew that life married to a foreigner in Japan would make his daughter’s life tough. The same went for our kids, if we ever had any. That wasn’t his fault. It was simply the unavoidable reality of Japanese culture and society. And being a foreigner, there was always the threat that I would get tired of life in Japan and simply decide to whisk his daughter off to the States, far, far away from her home and family.

These were legitimate concerns for a father. And he wasn’t racist in the slightest to address them directly and openly.

I had zero evidence for what I believed was going on in other people’s minds when they looked at me. Zero evidence of racism. And even if they were the hardcore racists of my fevered imagination, there was nothing I could ever do about it.

And it’s dangerous to make such assumptions in Japan where people are very introverted and keep their true thoughts and emotions to themselves.

A good example of this comes to mind. A female American classmate, who, incidentally, later ended up becoming my lovely wife, had an epiphany similar to my barking dog revelation.

She told me the story of a visit to a local Buddhist shrine for an international friendship event with a group of high school students.

My wife is very shy, and she is extremely nervous about speaking Japanese. So, there she was, sick to her stomach with worry, entering a room full of giggling and staring Japanese teenagers.

Naturally, my wife felt insulted. They were openly ridiculing her to her face. Presently, a pair of girls approached her, giddy with laughter. One of them finally opened up with an English question:

“Watto izu yua favorite … fruits?” They burst into laughter.

What my wife thought was a crude display of disrespect wasn’t that at all. The laughter was nervous laughter. They were trying to piece together a rational sentence from their English lessons and were so embarrassed they couldn’t sustain eye contact. What she thought were fleeting conspiratorial glances, was a sign of their own innocence and sheer embarrassment. They were afraid of making fools of themselves before an honored guest. And despite all that fear, they went ahead with the stratagem of asking her about her preferred fruit.

My wife felt ashamed that she had misjudged these sweet innocent girls, and she did everything in her power to make them feel comfortable and at ease so they could practice their English without fear or shame.

Learning that lesson saved me. For the rest of my time studying and later working in Japan, I had an observant, and therefore realistic, sense of what was going on around me. I learned and my life was once again filled with a sense of wonder because I approached the world with humility. My narrative filter was consigned to a metaphorical wastebin, and I let myself consider a myriad of possibilities whenever I encountered something new and strange.

There were good and bad experiences. There were things I could control and things I could not. There were people who didn’t mind me and others who did. Life went on.

Everything about my Japan experience was changed for the better because I purged the Leftist victim narrative from my heart, draining away that poison. All the stress, the tension, the negative emotions – just gone. I was free to be myself instead of going around like a shiftless, entitled loser always assuming everyone hated me.

Going back to America, I realized I was lucky. Many American minorities never experience my barking dog moment. That moment of epiphany when your assumption that everything wrong is due to racism runs headlong into reality, and you have to choose which path you want to walk down.

I sincerely feel great sorrow for those who suffer from this mental condition because of its profoundly toxic effects. It wears you down, eats away at mind and body, and leaves you wallowing, even drowning, in an increasingly deeper and murkier morass of learned helplessness.

It makes one’s existence a living nightmare. It closes your mind to knowledge. What you see is always masked by what you expect to see. Like all attitudes, it is a choice: will you be humble and open your eyes, or keep them closed and assume psychic certitude?

Notice I’m not saying that racism doesn’t exist. What I’m saying is that this particular mindset makes it seem far more prevalent and far more potent than it really is.

The man who kicked me out of the bar for being a gaijin was no friend. But aside from that one bar (where honestly I couldn’t afford anything to drink anyway because I was a poor student) that man had no real impact on my life. And it wasn’t like he was roaming the streets in his spare time trying to hunt me down either.

His impact was minimal. And his honesty was appreciated, frankly. I’d rather know I’m not wanted than to be merely tolerated.

Based on how they raised their son Karmelo, it’s clear that the Anthony family, is likely deeply invested in this toxic attitude.

That’s why I hold out for the hope that prison may be the best thing for Karmelo. It will insulate him from the toxic victim mentality that may have caused him to kill in cold-blooded righteousness.

Karmelo’s parents are still arguing that their son had a right to violently end Austin Metcalf’s life. Other influencers have pointed out that Black men have a responsibility to react harshly when they’re challenged or “disrespected.”

And if that’s how they feel society should work, then I have very good news for them. That is, in fact, how society works.

In prison.

Prison is that place where you’ll get smashed or shivved for saying the wrong thing or looking at someone the wrong way.

This is such an integral feature of prison culture that part of the reformation process involves classes in how to more constructively deal with the urge to kill someone who you assume has disrespected you.

When I was in Beaumont, I did everything I could to expedite my release. So I signed up for every class they offered including these behavior modification courses. I kept the workbook and took it home because it provided such fascinating insight into the criminal mindset.

On one page, it offers a hypothetical. The prisoner in the picture is thinking, “A guy walking down the hall looking at me. He looked like he was ready to start something.”

The corresponding reality check gave an alternative way to view the situation: “Based on what I could see, I had no way to say what he was thinking. I can’t read his mind. Just because he looked at me was no reason to think he wanted to start something.”

The workbook then reveals that the suspected aggressor was just wondering what’s for lunch.

That’s right. Reform education trains inmates to embrace their own barking dog moment. You learn to take a step back and allow that ray of reality to shine on your internal crazy.

Karmelo Anthony right now is learning a hard lesson: that a world full of Karmelo Anthonies is far from ideal. It’s not easy to live in a world where you aren’t allowed a moment to let your mind wander or accidentally glance in the wrong direction for fear someone will think you’re about to “start something.”

Karmelo’s parents likewise need to learn that important barking dog lesson in order to extricate themselves from the victimhood mindset.

I hope what I’m saying here is clear. The hostile assumption that everyone around you disrespects you is the same mindset as the attitude that tells you everything bad is directly attributable to racial factors. It’s a mindset more common among criminals because it drives people who embrace it to extreme acts of violence. They may choose to attack someone as a preemptive corrective or as a mode of revenge. And it’s those violent acts that land people in prison.

It landed Karmelo in prison. He didn’t need to protect his dumb pride with a knife. Walking away was always an option. At least on the outside. He doesn’t have that choice now. Prison is the self-fulfilling prophecy he set into motion.

That mental poison wasn’t harmless. A 17-year-old young man has been deprived of his life because of it. And now Karmelo also languishes in prison for that same reason.

Karmelo listened to the wrong people. The parents and teachers in his life convinced him he needed to be a hair-trigger entitled thug as part of the Leftist mental programming. Those people and their politics destroyed his capacity for empathy, sympathy, and wonder. They brainwashed him into believing he was a perpetual victim. And he believed. Even as he plunged a blade into Austin’s heart. A victim before and a victim after.

His defenders, programmed along the very same lines, still labor to paint Karmelo as a victim.

Despite the murder.

In the reaction to his conviction, too many have pushed the concept that Karmelo couldn’t have been guilty because he’s Black, and Black people can only be victims. They would have the rest of us live like every inmate in the system: guarded in every glance or word lest we find ourselves at the business end of sharpened prison steel.

Thankfully the jurors rejected that ugly proposition and, from the lack of riots, it seems the majority of America has rejected it as well.

Whether or not Karmelo or his parents learn from this experience, it’s clear the rest of America is on the same page as the judge:

Last week’s announcement of the $1.776 billion fund for victims of the Biden regime’s lawfare brought the crazies out of the woodwork. Not just the radical Democrats, but a surprising number of politicians among the GOP political “elite” saw fit to join the outrage chorus.

It’s clear that, as much as I wanted (as we wanted) to move on from January 6th 2021, the world has other ideas. And, as much as we feel confident in our collective righteousness and have faith that the truth will eventually come out, the fact is that far too many even on the right view us as either dupes or villains.

J6ers have some good ambassadors, some bad ambassadors, and some rather tiresome ambassadors. We have a mixed bag when it comes to public relations, not that it matters much. There’s always that contingent for whom the needle will never budge.

Part of that group are the dedicated anti-J6 trolls. Accounts on X with follower counts ranging from the tens to the tens of thousands. They’ve reemerged to swarm our posts. They wish us harm. They want us dead. They’re outraged at the idea of the fund and they want to spread that sentiment as far and as wide as possible.

These accounts are just kind of ... weird. Most of them post exclusively about January 6. They have no opinions on the latest Star Wars movie, the latest basketball game, or any other current events. They are ever focused on just the one topic.

As much as they tout the righteousness of their cause, they do nothing to advocate for the same police and federal law enforcement being savagely attacked by Leftists on the streets this very day. They never cared about insurrection when it was committed by the Democrat party for the Russia Collusion hoax or the Arctic Frost shakedown attempt.

Yes, their singular focus reveals them for who they are: liars. Operators working in the interest of whatever best suits the Democrat narrative.

Democrats have never cared about the truth. As I said before, Leftists see all beliefs, even their own, as self-serving lies. Therefore, what we think is a battle between ideologies isn’t that at all for the Left.

To the Leftist, we aren’t engaged in a clash of ideas about which we can have a sincere debate. It’s a competition. They’re pushing for the triumph of one set of lies over another. They aren’t vying for relevance or truth but for narrative supremacy.

Like Director Christopher Nolan, the Left is fine holding fast to ideas that are contradictory on their face. Their goal isn’t the discovery of truth but to win at the game of inception.

At the same time, the Right is hampered in our response by the Dark Helmet Principle: Evil always triumphs because Good is dumb. We still assume we’re locked in a debate when the Left is engaged in a knife fight.

J6ers know all about the knife fight. We witnessed the very breath from the lips of newscasters and politicians become blades embedded in our physical flesh. It’s not by accident that Leftist lies bleed. It’s by design.

Thanks to the Dark Helmet Principle, people on the Right have a tendency to take Left-wingers at their word. We’re wired to be gullible. We find it difficult to believe that people can traffick so easily and so publicly in brazen lies.

Right-wingers approach the knife fight assuming it’s just a debate. What’s more, we assume they’re sincere in what they express as their beliefs.

Big mistake.

Lying, lying about lying, and lying about beliefs is the go-to modus operandi for the Left. For those of us who can see through the subterfuge, we are forced to engage on two fronts. We must fight the eternal stream of lies from the Left while at the same time convincing the dumb good that what the Left says is not true.

Over the course of the past few days, I’ve come to recognize a couple of lies as being especially pernicious. One of the big ones is that we attempted some sort of an insurrection that day. That line is so off-base even Nancy Pelosi’s own daughter laughs at it: “If there was an insurrection, you were supposed to have a plan!”

The other lie is just as big but a bit more disconcerting. That is the lie that we killed police officers.

Both lies serve the Democrat goal of demonizing us J6ers along with the President specifically, and Republicans in general.

And both are completely false.

Not only was no one charged with either crime (insurrection or murder) over the past five years, but the “seditious conspiracy” charges against the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers have been thrown out by the government. This charge was a go-to retort in online debate.

“No one was even charged with much less convicted for insurrection.”

“Yeah but a bunch were charged with seditious conspiracy. Close enough!”

Tedious.

In the case of the murder allegation, that lack of charge is particularly damning for people promoting the lie that J6ers in any way caused the deaths of officers.

They would have you believe multiple murders were committed, somehow off-camera within a panotpicon. And then, somehow, the perpetrators successfully escaped the wrath of a vengeful police force working hand-in-hand with the surveillance state. The same government hell-bent on making extreme examples of every single one of us. Even the flag-waving grandmas weren’t safe.

It’s beyond absurd. But that doesn’t stop the liars from saying it. Again. And again.

And even if not consciously assented to by people on the Right, that assumption of sincerity of belief fuels lingering doubts about how violent J6ers are.

Even X, the social media platform we’re told is run by an evil Conservative billionaire, does nothing to stem the endless flow of these falsehoods.

Never mind that the platform AI, Grok, knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that no such murder took place. Despite this, those same accusations flow freely throughout the site to this very day.

This isn’t just innocent speech. The people who proffer this, whether they’re big or small accounts, know they aren’t telling the truth. You would hope that Community Notes would kick in for these types of brazen and obviously harmful lies.

In case you aren’t familiar, Community Notes are wonderful tools for correcting the record. I frequently get notifications from Community Notes that a post I interacted with got something wrong. Where accurate and relevant, I appreciate the correction. These notes pop up for any number of reasons, even personal matters.

Yet while Community Notes claims it’s not operating in the service of a specific agenda, it’s generally mum on the lies and exaggerations of January 6th 2021. No matter how many times I try to correct the record and try to solicit a Community Note, X does nothing to respond.

And these lies are in fact quite harmful. The media narratives of the Left have an actual death toll, spurring random people everywhere to take the law in their own hands in order to stop what Leftists hysterically refer to as the despotic fascist Hitlerian Trump regime. The latest victim is 69-year-old Army veteran Kerry Sheron who was fatally beaten to death by his neighbor. He passed away from his injuries on the eve of Memorial Day.

A mere day before he passed, a mad gunman fired randomly towards the White House. Only a short while before that, Cole Allen unloaded his shotgun into the chest of a secret service agent as he tried to charge into the White House Press Dinner.

Allen’s manifesto famously reads like it came straight from the hosts of The View, complete with the familiar false accusations of pedophilia and fascism commonly trafficked by the Left.

There were numerous other attempts at political violence. In the case of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, the Left bagged a high-value kill. And celebrated it.

What we know about the psychology of these shooters is that they’re unhinged. But only to the mentally-well. Much of what we know from their writings and interactions jibes perfectly with what passes for normal and polite conversation on the Left. Just look at all the people on TikTok who openly advocate for violence or murder using their real faces and names.

You don’t casually muse about the necessity for mass murder in mixed company on a public platform unless you’re completely used to talking that way in your regular life.

That means for every TikToker nurse or teacher who was caught blithely fantasizing about slaughtering Conservatives, there are probably ten to twenty more who think the same way but are smart enough to keep those cards close to their chests.

Naturally, J6ers are also singled out for this type of treatment. One obvious example is an X account that likes to post under the hashtage #KAJ6ers where K-A means exactly what you think it does:

These posts are from an account that sympathizes with Charlie Kirk’s assassin and also uses the hashtag #KAT which we can assume from context also means “Kill All Trumpers.”

Since reporting this account for continued and repeated violations of X’s policy on advocating violence on Saturday, exactly no administrative action has been taken by X. No reprimand. No posts relegated as spam.

Oddly, X’s own Grok agrees with me on the nature of this type of rhetoric, saying it should be reported and taken down. But as of this writing, the humans at the platform itself seem unconvinced.

I don’t think these are unreasonable requests. Advocacy for indiscriminate violence against a group of people is vile and unhelpful to sincere dialogue. This user’s repeated use reveals a calculated and deliberate agenda. It’s one thing to say something in the heat of the moment, it’s quite another to take such rhetoric up as personal branding for each and every post. This isn’t a momentary lapse or the result of fleeting emotion. This is lifestyle advocacy. The kind promoted by TikTok and other social media sites.

Beyond that, the lies that fuel this type of rhetoric also need to be addressed before they find their way into yet another unhinged manifesto.

No J6er committed insurrection. No cop was killed by any J6er. It was the J6ers who were killed by cops. It’s not debatable. These are the facts of the cases. Controversy exists but only because the liars refuse to acquiesce to a truth. A truth that’s been attested to by the very regime that persecuted us.

The FBI wanted nothing more than to bring maximum force to bear on each and every J6er. The idea that they were too busy trying to give me five years in federal penitentiary for pushing on riot shields and causing zero harm when they could’ve been locking up the mythical murderer of Officer Brian Sicknick is beyond idiotic. There is no ambiguity or vague middle ground here. Forget habeas corpus. We need habeas delictum. You have to have a crime in order to have a criminal.

In normal discussions regarding court cases, it’s important to caution viewers that charges are alleged. Until conviction, it’s incorrect to call a defendant “the murderer” for example. You have to refer to him as the “alleged murderer.”

In the case of January 6th, the media takes such gentlemanly deference to legal processes and throws it out the window. We aren’t alleged insurrectionists or alleged murderers. We are simply labeled insurrectionists and murderers.

These lies serve the purpose of trying to get as many of us killed as possible. They’re part of the Left’s ongoing knife fight.

Yet with regards to the lies of insurrection and murder, I’m not even asking for censorship. I’m asking for truth in the form of a Community Note. The stakes are higher than normal, and the utter disregard for truth on the Left makes fighting their lies a daunting task.

The least X could do is stand on the side of truth, especially in the face of such consistent targeted violence.

That quote (which I can no longer trace) perfectly sums up the British attitude towards God. It’s an attitude that isn’t limited to your militant atheist or soulless Leftist politician. A seething dislike for a God whose existence they refuse to acknowledge is the prevailing attitude of Brits towards their Creator and Redeemer. I’ve seen Christian Brits on TV. But never met one in person. You may like a certain Brit and perhaps even admire their moral clarity, but get them on the subject of God and religion and they will always disappoint you.

It’s why I wasn’t surprised by the refusal of King George to acknowledge the Easter holiday while at the same time taking pains to speak glowingly about Ramadan.

And it’s why I’m not the least bit surprised that Christopher Nolan’s Odyssey movie has turned into such a big disaster before it even hits the theaters.

I’ve always had him pegged as yet another product of the contemporary God-hating British culture. And, for Christians, there’s a connection between hating the Christian God and disrespecting myths old and new.

Keep reading if you’d like to see what this connection is, and how it demonstrates that Nolan has been scamming his Conservative fans throughout the years.

Let’s start with his latest movie. Though unsurprising, the controversy over his Odyssey picture has sparked a realization that has shocked many.

Director Christopher Nolan’s next film, The Odyssey, is in fact a heaping pile of wokeslop that serves only to desecrate its source material.

Specifically, people have pointed to the following creative atrocities:

• Nolan based his production on the interpretation of Emily Wilson, an “outspoken” feminist bent on recasting the ancient tale in modernist feminist terms. She is another product of her culture: a miserable suicidalist vandal.

• The movie is rife with race and gender-swapped characters such as the post-op Ellen Page playing the role of the mythical warrior Achilles and the black Lupita Nyong’o as Helen of Troy.

• The movie takes odd stylistic turns throughout. For example, the Greek warriors run about in blackened bronze armor straight out of Batman, but with goofy ultra-looksmaxxed cheekboned helmets.

• Outside of the DEI inserts, there are extremely questionable casting choices like John Leguizamo, Charlize Theron, Matt Damon, Tom Holland, and Anne Hathaway.

These creative decisions serve as a signal to viewers that this movie is less an actual attempt at an epic genre retelling and more of a hamfisted tax write-off for the studio. The scale of failure here is palpable even before it hits theaters.

But it’s not just failure and these aren’t mere missteps. Nolan is deliberately going to great lengths to destroy the heroic legacy of one the West’s oldest and most revered tales. That’s the slap across the face. Conservatives everywhere feel the sting.

I was surprised Conservatives saw him as one of their own. I guess I assumed that everyone else moved on as I did back when Dark Knight was released. Now I realize Nolan’s cerebral dude flicks were subtly Conservative-coded and he’s considered by many on the Right to be a rare ideological ally in Hollywood.

This was never the case. Nolan’s Conservativism isn’t the product but the deceptive wrapping. The Odyssey is the definitive proof of that reality.

Though raised Catholic, the Christopher Nolan we know today as a crypto-Conservative director has never made any proclamation of belief or practice of Christianity of any denomination. Like all Brits, he’s more comfortable distancing himself from anything remotely resembling institutional Western religion.

For Nolan, Christianity is no more than the cultural window-dressing that provides handy focal points for his audience. His overall hyper-pragmatic worldview lacks any trace of supernatural grace, love, or even goodness. When asked about his apparent Christianity, he openly disavowed any real belief:

“I think [of] the influence of Christianity in my films in mostly cultural terms of my upbringing. You know I was raised Catholic…. I would say that Christianity is just a cultural influence as it is for so many people growing up in the Western culture.”

Nolan isn’t playing coy to protect his career here. He’s paying obeisance to the British cultural milieu that formed him: Hate God, but not enough to evict Him from the premises.

His movies are awash in profound moral ambiguity. There really are no good guys or bad guys in his films, only protagonists and antagonists. Who we sympathize with is the result of his cinematic arrangement.

Many people have trouble with his Batman sequel, Dark Knight. Some of those criticisms revolve around Batman’s own moral grayness.

Nolan contrasts Batman’s ethical inconsistency with the insane moral blackness of his antagonist, the Joker -- a character who, like Nolan, likes to toy with people’s personal sense of morality.

One such Joker ploy is to force a boat full of innocent civilians and a boat full of prison inmates to decide who gets blown up based on who is willing to blow up the other boat first. They’re given only a few minutes to make their decision. Failure to act in self-preservation will result in the Joker detonating both ships and killing everyone. The only path of self-preservation is to kill first. Inaction is assured destruction at either the hands of the other or the hands of the Joker.

In the end, neither the civilians nor the inmates take the bait. The imposition of a dehumanizing moral conundrum by the antagonist fails, spoiling his psychopathic fun.

Many people read into this part of the story, interpreting it as a sign Nolan believes in mankind’s higher nature. That each of us has a core of goodness that, when tested, can shine through even in the most unlikely times.

But that’s not what really happens. In both vessels, the detonator switch is taken by force by the most powerful person among their peer groups. Batman holds up the result as proof of the goodness of Gotham’s citizens, but the reality is the outcome is an accident of pure power.

This is made clear by the ending where Batman decides, rather arbitrarily, to take the blame for the death of district attorney Harvey Dent in order to cover for the fact that Dent had gone criminally insane.

The explanation is that Gothamites need the memory of Dent as “Gotham’s white knight” to be preserved in order to have something to aspire to. So Batman sacrificially takes on the burden of being the primary murder suspect.

In terms of both theme and narrative, the whole thing seems clumsily shoehorned into the story. It contradicts the earlier scene where the citizens (and criminals!) of Gotham proved their inherent goodness.

Leaving the theater, I felt this denouement took the film from a barely passable superhero flick to a stomach-churning train wreck. It’s not just the narrative malpractice that turned me off.

It’s said a chief sign of bad writing is that it tells the reader more about the writer than it does about the story or characters. Such is the case here.

With that ending, Nolan revealed a belief in the noble serviceability of outright lies. Not fiction or myth or story. Lies. Originally we are led to believe the people of Gotham have proven themselves morally upright. Yet Batman concludes they need to be duped into being good.

Batman’s decision reveals he isn’t truly convinced of the goodness of Gothamites.

The implications here are profound. Nolan isn’t just saying that what we believe defines us as human beings. He’s also saying the veracity of those beliefs is irrelevant. What matters is their effect and utility.

For the life of me, I cannot understand how Conservatives, even the Atheistic ones, come away from Dark Knight with the impression that it was overtly or even implicitly Christian.

There is no daylight between Nolan’s understanding of the relationship between truth and belief and the Leftist caricature of religion as being no more than a mere pastiche of convenient lies we tell ourselves to assuage our darkest fears. That our spirituality is the nightlight by which bogeymen are forced to stay under the bed.

For that matter, this attitude towards religion is not at all different from the Leftist understanding of their own beliefs and truth. It’s the Left after all, that clings desperately to their raft of contradictory and counterfactual beliefs. Gender is no more than a concept but if you’re a man it’s a mark of biological inferiority. All cultures are equal, but the West is singularly bad. All races are equal, but Whites are uniquely evil. Law is tyranny, but the Government needs more power.

The ending of Dark Knight told me that Christopher Nolan is a dyed-in-the-wool Leftist of the worst kind. He sneers at religion, especially Christianity, while at the same time acknowledging his own beliefs need not a single strut of factual support.

Nolan isn’t winking at Christians. He’s merely being politely obtuse about how much he hates them.

Nolan is neither Christian nor Conservative. At best, his films betray a belief in dualism -- the heretical perspective that posits balance as the only real desirable outcome and that “good” and “evil” must keep each other in constant check.

His protagonists and antagonists are usually near equals. What defines the winner and loser depends on who can bring more power and the extent to which they can utilize ingenuity or cleverness to effect that outcome.

We can compare that perspective with his fellow DC contemporary, Director Zach Snyder.

Like Nolan, Snyder isn’t a traditional practicing Christian. He was raised as a Christian Scientist whose outlook regarding Christianity is more akin to a kind of appreciative belief in its inherent power as a myth.

That turns out to be a huge difference in the end. Snyder’s mythophilic views do a better job of conveying a more pro-Christian perspective than former Catholic Nolan.

This manifests in a more comic-bookishly conventional approach to the issue of good versus evil and the consequences of our moral choices.

Let’s take a look at Snyder’s Man of Steel Superman movie for comparison.

That movie’s dark ending features a scene where Superman kills fellow Kryptonian General Zod. (Interestingly, Nolan who executive produced the movie did not want this to happen. Perhaps he forgot how in the Donner film Zod and his two henchmen were also killed, one by Superman and one by Lois Lane.)

Snyder’s Superman kills his General Zod only after a pitched one-on-one battle that levels Metropolis. The Snyder Superman can barely contend with the more battle-trained General Zod. And, in an echo of the forced decision imposed by Joker in the Dark Knight, it’s only because of the moral conundrum created by Zod’s attempt to murder innocent people that Superman’s hand is forced.

Had Superman had to go against the entirety of Zod’s forces, his utter defeat and death was all but ensured. While there is no exact number for Zod’s army, in addition to the main cadre (Zod, second-in-command Faora-Ul, the large Nam-ek, Jax-Ur the scientist, Car-Vex, Nadira, Dev-Em Il, and Gor) there are also a number of extras seen running around Zod’s ship. In all, there could have been dozens of Kryptonians equal to Superman in power and ability.

But it’s not Superman’s cleverness or power that levels that playing field.

It’s his grace.

Despite being misunderstood and feared by mankind, Superman endeavors to save Earth from these overwhelming odds. That includes helping to protect individual human beings from being killed by Zod’s forces.

Earlier in the film, after his helicopter is shot down, the character Colonel Nathan Hardy tries to go toe-to-toe with Faora-Ul. She pulls a knife and taunts him, saying, “A good death is its own reward.”

Before she can deliver the killing blow, Superman intervenes, saving Colonel Hardy.

Just before that interaction, Faora-Ul and Superman were battling and she informs him of his tactical disadvantage:

“You are weak, Son of El. Unsure of yourself. The fact that you possess a sense of morality, and we do not, gives us an evolutionary advantage. And if history has proven anything, it is that evolution always wins.”

A more Nolan-esque Superman would’ve been more concerned with outsmarting his foes and finding a way to tip the scales in his favor. But Snyder’s Superman doesn’t even consider the obvious power imbalance.

By saving Colonel Hardy, he saves the man whose selfless sacrifice not only takes out Faora-Ul, but every single one of the dozen or so invading Kryptonians with the singular exception of General Zod.

The Colonel Hardy character thus can be credited with saving both Superman and the world through that selfless act, throwing Faora-Ul’s words back at her as he noses his aircraft into the Kryptonian World Engine.

“A good death is its own reward.”

Such a scene is unthinkable in a Nolan movie. At this point, the movie makes it painfully clear Colonel Hardy in no way scales to a single Kryptonian much less an entire invasion team. Yet it is this humble human with no super powers who takes them all out.

It’s not Superman’s cleverness or strength that saves humanity from a future of utter servitude and subjugation under a troop of Kryptonians who eschew morality as evolutionary weakness. It’s his desire to do good even when it doesn’t serve him in any apparent way.

I’m not saying heroes can’t outwit or overpower their rivals. Indeed, this is exactly how the Donner Superman defeats General Zod. My point is that Man of Steel shows what a rejection of the Nolanesque, utilitarian approach to morality looks like.

The difference here is Synder’s respect for myth contrast against Nolan’s outright disdain for myth, faith in general, and Christianity in particular.

Snyder isn’t exactly Christian but, unlike Nolan, his weaving of Christian ideals into the story of Man of Steel conveys a respect for the idea of belief, even beliefs he might not hold in a manner consistent with most Christians.

Snyder explains that his insertion of Christian references into Superman was the result of studying the source material and realizing that Superman was always a kind of Christ figure:

“When we started to examine the Superman mythology, in the most classic sense, I really wanted to press upon the film the ‘why’ of him, which has been 75 years in the making. The Christ-like parallels, I didn’t make that stuff up. We weren’t like, ‘Hey, let’s add this!’ That stuff is there, in the mythology. That is the tried-and-true Superman metaphor. So rather than be snarky and say that doesn’t exist, we thought it would be fun to allow that mythology to be woven through.”

Mythology and metaphor. Snyder loves the artistry and beauty made manifest by story, unlike Nolan who views story as merely a tool for coercion or manipulation.

(I can’t help but wonder if this apparent difference in attitude might be the reason why Snyder is on the outs in Hollywood while Nolan remains a darling.)

The project of Hollywood Communists for the past half-century-plus has been to morally degrade audiences. To de-moralize us, so to speak. Over the past few years, that project has reached fever pitch with audiences now aware that our very entertainment industry is deliberately destroying all our best heroes, stories, legends, and myths.

It’s clear there is no end to the lunacy. No movie performs so poorly that the studios seek to correct course. The typical response has been to, much like Colonel Hardy, increase the throttle and push the stick forward in order to expedite the crash.

Hollywood’s goal is the end of the age of heroes. Now, when The Odyssey is covered in the few schools where a classical curriculum is still taught, students will watch Nolan’s movie and discover that it’s not a heroic epic, but a tale about gender inequality and representation and other vapid tone deaf boomerisms.

Nolan is the wedge being used to divorce future generations from a legendary story that has formed and inspired countless generations of young men in the West. It’s safe to say Nolan is a willing participant in this ongoing project of cultural self-genocide.

Had the movie been under the helm of Zach Snyder, the man who also did 300, it would have stood the chance of actually being good because Snyder holds all myths as equal and would’ve treated The Odyssey as respectfully as he treated Christianity in Man of Steel.

Just as he respectfully treated Norse mythology in his Twilight of the Gods, where he compared Odin to Christ in another interview that asked why he so frequently inserts Christian imagery in his works.

“Also, it’s the idea that this imagery: Christ on the cross [and] Odin on the World Tree. This is ancient stuff. It’s not really the domain of a single religious faith, but it has a universal quality that we can find “the why” ourselves. I think that’s the message for me. Why does it appear in my work so often? I’m not 100% sure. I’ll be honest.”

Snyder appreciates myth. Like traditional Christian intellectuals, he finds them instructive. Not equally idiotic or equally useful as Nolan does. But equally great.

This matters because that kind of respectful appreciation has always been the Christian perspective on ancient myths, especially the Greek and Roman myths. This is why today the ancient classics are only taught in Conservative and Christian schools. Meanwhile, the very idea of literature is being destroyed bit by bit every year in public schools. Leftists hate the classics.

Just as Nolan hates the classics.

And this is the line between Nolan’s derogatory understanding of faith and his derogatory understanding of Homer. Like every Leftist, Nolan stands in judgment above the ancient classics. He doesn’t comprehend their greatness. His failure on The Odyssey was a fait accompli.

There’s much irony here. Atheists and other Leftists have long derided Christianity as the traditional suppressors of ancient Paganism. But scholars in the classics, those who have traditionally been responsible for the preservation and passing on of these ancient beliefs, have themselves been predominately Christian.

Ours is not a faith of suppression as Atheists and Pagans claim. Unlike Muslims, we do not go around destroying priceless works of art and artifacts. We are not intimidated by other beliefs because we have the one true belief. The only religion created by God Himself, in person.

Because of this, instead of fearing art or story, we are their connoisseurs. It’s why we have Shakespeare, Dante, and, yes, even Hollywood.

This concept of the convivial relationship between Christianity and her Pagan forebears is aptly illustrated by the CS Lewis claim that Christianity is the myth that became true. Lewis was converted to Christianity through Tolkien who convinced him that myths aren’t lies but a method for conveying deep or complex truths.

Nolan believes in the lie. Quite literally. He cleaves to that diabolical belief that lies have inherent value in their power to manipulate. The disconnect between word and truth is irrelevant to him. He sees as heroic the desire to coddle the unwashed masses with carefully curated scripts and narratives.

This is a desire at the heart of all card-carrying Leftists. Nudge. Manipulate. Mentally break, if necessary. Neither the method nor its morality are relevant so long as the end points to Communism. Wear your mask. Say the pronoun. Eat the rich.

The more traditional understanding, the reason why Christians have always managed to keep the old Greek and Roman myths alive, is that myths contain truth. While we understand that they didn’t actually happen, we’ve always rejected the interpretation that they’re manipulative lies.

We also understand that Christianity is also a myth in a similar sense. With the caveat that Christianity has the added distinction of being the only myth that is true. As CS Lewis says:

“Now the story of Christ is simply a true myth: a myth working on us in the same way as the others, but with this tremendous difference that it really happened: and one must be content to accept it in the same way, remembering that it is God’s myth where the others are men’s myths.”

Christianity doesn’t perceive myths as deliberate counterfeits but more as the sincere yet flawed attempt to reach an understanding of God. Thus, these myths are seen as the product of an inherently good desire, just without all the advantages of the Truth of Christianity.

So in order to enact their Utopian vision of a permanently post-Christian world, all stories must die.

In pursuit of this goal, no deed is out of bounds. No falsehood, no matter how obvious, is off the table. The proof of Nolan’s commitment to this mission is in the very promotion of his movie.

Nolan defends his movie as historically accurate and the product of the research by a team of experts. Herein lies the source of the backlash. Had Nolan quipped that this version of The Odyssey is his own interpretation with deliberate artistic choices to insert modern anachronisms to jazz it up visually, people wouldn’t care so much about the historical inaccuracy.

It’s not the first time it’s been done. The Warriors, for example, is a fine and highly influential retelling of another ancient Greek tale, the Anabasis of Xenophon, set in modern New York. It features a highly diverse cast and some of the most memorable scenes in movie history. And no one cared because they weren’t being lied to by the filmmaker about the movie’s supposed deeply-researched historical accuracy.

But when you try to pass off an obvious fake as genuine, then you run the risk of annoying movie-goers as was the case in the widely-panned The Conqueror where John Wayne played Mongol chieftain Genghis Khan. That movie won a Golden Turkey for bad casting.

Nolan could either tell the truth and take the route of The Warriors and completely dispel all the controversy with a few choice words about his video-game-inspired modern retelling. Or he could choose the path of John Wayne’s The Conqueror and die on the hill of faux historical accuracy.

He has chosen the latter. He has chosen the propagandist’s path of manipulation.

No educated Christian or lover of fiction, poetry, or myth obfuscates the concept of story with the concept of deception. That Nolan weaponizes noble lies in the service of a self-destructive agenda tells you everything you need to know about where he really stands and what he truly believes.

Much like the Netflix piece “Adolescence” which race-swapped a real-life black British teen child murderer for a slight, young white villain, Nolan is trying to reconstruct an alternate history with the ultimate goal being the erasure of Western Christendom. You may know him as a modern story-teller, but his actual role is that of the interrogator. One bent on breaking your mind and convincing you to deny the evidence of your very eyes.

The exhibits are right there before you. In his choice of source material, his casting choices, and his choices in defending his movie to this day. All deliberate and calculated decisions oriented towards the single purpose of rewriting not just our history but also destroying our stories and demoralizing our culture.

It’s an ironic unmasking of a man who most know from his comic book movie adaptations. At the same time, it’s apropos of that same comic book genre that we now get discover in such dramatic fashion his startling true identity.

On March 7th, at a New York City protest against radical Islam, counter protesters threw homemade bombs at the protesters and the police.

The initial bomb throw was directed over the top of Leftist counter protester Walter Masterson as he was speaking in support of Islamism.

The next day, Masterson doubled down on his rhetoric even while underscoring the ridiculousness of being welcoming to people who crafted a genuine working shrapnel bomb, which, had it gone off, would likely have killed or maimed him for life.

The image became instantly iconic as meme masters memorialized the perfect juxtaposition of Leftist “tolerance” and the violence they want us to tolerate.

Many people have pointed to the episode as a textbook case of suicidal empathy.

Later in the week, a group of Antifa terrorists arrested for ambushing ICE in Texas were successfully convicted. Antifa’s response from their supporters has been to threaten the jury that convicted them as well as Andy Ngo for his unflattering coverage.

On March 14th, American TikToker Ethan Levins was discovered using social media to call out the geolocations of Patriot missile defense batteries in Israel explicitly telling Iran that they needed to to target those locations.

People were rightly outraged. Pointing out that those locations may in fact be manned by American soldiers, a massive outcry called for his arrest for treason. Levins’ reaction to this outcry wasn’t one of regret or sorrow. He instead cried foul. In a follow-up video where his sterling cross is prominently displayed about his neck, he expressed outrage over the thousands of people calling for the ultimate penalty for his actions. “They’re calling for my death!” he cried in shock, after he himself called for many more people to die (without the missile defense system, where do those Iranian missiles land, Levins?)

A subsequent scandal arose when Tucker Carlson claimed that his communications were being spied on by the CIA and that the agency was building a case against him along with the DoJ.

Many people have noticed that this is a very odd thing to say. Is Tucker trying to pre-bunk any bad press that might come out in light of such an investigation? Playing the outrage game on his show only feeds the narrative that he’s conscious of having done something wrong.

And maybe that’s his intention. But I don’t think so.

Tucker’s communications wouldn’t have been intercepted by the CIA. First, a high-level target such as his interviewee, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, would have already been targeted for surveillance before Tucker’s involvement, but by the NSA, not the CIA. Second, even if the CIA was doing any such monitoring, say for a human intelligence operation, they likely would have been getting the raw collection from the NSA which is the agency that, in fact, specializes in and is responsible for signals intelligence, or SIGINT.

I know. Because that was once my job.

The NSA has minimization procedures to handle any inadvertent collection of identifiers linked to US Persons. The SOP doesn’t allow such information to be unmasked. If there was a good reason to have Tucker’s identity unmasked, it would not have been the CIA handling the request to reveal, but the NSA.

What I’m saying is that, whether or not the CIA was in that loop (and they very likely were), the primary responsibility for the material collected would remain with the originating agency: the NSA.

So the NSA would have controlled the material from beginning to end, not the CIA. Yet it’s the CIA that Tucker has shoehorned into his story.

On top of that, the CIA is prohibited from conducting domestic operations, which would have included Carlson.

On top of that, the CIA has no domestic law enforcement mandate.

On top of that, even if the CIA were “building a case” against Carlson, giving him a heads up would have ruined more than one high-level career in American intelligence and DC Justice.

I know for a fact that, outside of a wanted poster, the DoJ doesn’t do courtesy calls to let their targets know they’re being investigated. Again, this knowledge comes from personal experience.

Tucker’s story feels like a Candace Owens-style plea for attention, complete with Hollywood misconceptions about the world of intelligence to add some melodramatic sensationalism to the scene.

I’m not 100% sure he’s lying. It’s closer to 91.4%.

Other than the fact that these all happened within about a single week, why am I bringing all these incidents up?

Each of these stories brings home a powerful attribute our political opponents bring to bear in almost every situation; moreover, the Right struggles to adopt this strategy whenever embroiled in a public conflict.

Tactical Martyrdom.

Masterson’s defense of people who nearly killed him as being preferable to having to listen to anti-Islam protesters spew wrongthink isn’t just a case of suicidal empathy. Masterson’s instinct to protect the clear aggressors in this incident arises because he knows the power of victimhood.

Terrorist bombers are seldom thought of as innocent victims.

Masterson’s clumsy attempts at deflection serve to distract from his own lack of survival instincts while also allowing him to maintain the status quo perception on the Left.

The Antifa terror cell supporters are also examples of tactical martyrdom. Now that the convictions have been secured, they’re all victims of “injustice.” Their hyperbolic reaction now serves as a basis for all kinds of future violent political actions.

So, prepare yourself for that.

This is the objective of elevating vile acts of aggression to the level of martyrdom: it activates a raw emotional response that promotes action without thought. Stewing in the miasma of their overheated response, the leftist audience does not stop to think about the veracity of the claims or the consequences of their actions. And this kind of unthinking violence is exactly what the Democrats have been agitating for since November 2024.

Levins, like Masterson, believes that all the world hates Conservative Americans for the same reasons and in the same manner he does. It doesn’t cross their minds that there could be a shared connection between Americans that transcends political differences. All of this is based on a sense of righteous entitlement stemming from perceived grievances they believe have been inflicted by Conservatives.

At the same time, his primary reaction to being called out is exactly what we should expect: he claims the mantle of the martyr. “I’m being targeted for trying to enable mass civilian casualties, oh, woe is me!”

Then there’s Tucker. Social media is awash with hypotheses about his situation.

Like I said, this feels like theatrics to me. But even if it’s a genuine tale, going live with the information serves more than just sensationalism. Either way, he is jockeying to become the next martyr. If successful in pulling this narrative off, he will in fact find himself in possession of considerable cachet.

It appears the Left has learned the worst possible lesson from their missteps in over-prosecuting Trump in the lead-up to the previous election. It’s undeniable that by doing so, they made him the benighted underdog and that this ultimately helped to endear him to the majority of American voters.

Including, I must add, a good many of the felons I knew in prison.

But we have to point out that Trump wore that mantle of victim with a stoic manliness that the Left cannot imitate. He absorbed the slings and arrows and even had the wherewithal to make that iconic face that became his mugshot.

That’s generally how Conservatives tend to handle victimhood.

As J6ers, we tried to exploit our situation in DC DOC in the same way that Leftists do, but this was surprisingly difficult. There’s something about constantly cloying for attention and pity that cuts against the Conservative ideological grain – especially for men.

Focusing on our victim status only made us feel more helpless and pitiful.

I don’t think Leftists feel this way. I think because they venerate their ideological martyrs even in the face of facts (like the facts behind George Floyd), any claim to being a victim for them is both an act of defiance and a naked attempt to grasp power.

When Leftists call for violence because we called them out for violence, they aren’t exactly engaging in nuanced thinking. They’re willfully ignoring any and all facts on the ground that could even remotely challenge their victim narrative.

And they do this even when asserting victim narratives incites the type of violence that threatens to engulf them as well.

That is a fundamental difference in how we see ourselves in the world and how we approach reality. I have a feeling we are going to see even more examples of this tactical use of faux victimhood as this election year grinds on.

It’s not the result of any kind of memo or action plan. These are the knee-jerk reactions of people who are desperately searching their own warped psychology for ideas that justify their choices. Ideas that – lest we forget – rationalize and call for violence against us at both the individual and societal levels.

Each of these instances: Masterson, the Antifa terror supporters, Levins, and Carlson, all arose coincidentally because these men are all products of the same type of warped mentality. It is a Leftist mindset. It is also a militant Islamist mindset. It is a groyper mindset.

People whose only guiding ideal in life is that their every problem is someone else’s fault and the only antidote to this learned helplessness is violent rage. That means it’s not so much that the ideology causes the psychology, but that those with these psychological hangups are predisposed to embrace ideologies like Communism, Islamism, or groyperism.

Fides quaerens intellectum, as the saying goes.

This gives us an insight into the red-green alliance. It’s not an uniting of ideas or beliefs on any level, but of feelings. Feelings that lead them to embrace similarly violent and exterminationist methods that share similar targets but for completely different reasons.

Both groups are processing their failures in the same way, which is to foist their failings on a convenient scapegoat. In truth, it’s not a red-green alliance but a red-green coincidence. A union born of a shared but poisonous coping method. One where the success of either faction means certain death for the other.

For now, they’re ambivalent to the inherent danger of this dynamic, preferring to see it as a joining of forces in the name of ridding the world of their perceived nemesis.

But for their own sake, and the for sake of American society, this mentality and the violence it enables can’t go unanswered for another second.

My wife likes him, though and so I have to endure him more than I’d like.

(Now I’m wondering if I should grow a beard. I only let that monster grow when I’m riding subs, in prison, or “storming the Capitol.” But his appeal has to be attributable to something.)

Matt Walsh’s recent return foray into lambasting anime has understandably irked people across the internet. My immediate response is that he doesn’t know what anime even is and likely also has no tolerance for what GK Chesterton calls “fairy land” (ie, fantasy but you can lump science fiction in there as well). He fits the mold common among men that is generally disdainful of most fiction especially if it’s not of the highbrow grounded variety.

I suspect he’s the kind of guy who fidgets through a production of Midsummer Night’s Dream because of all the magic and fairy stuff.

But that doesn’t make him unusual. In my life working in the Navy and having been in prison, I know that men like him are common.

Many men just aren’t interested in fiction. For the sake of fitting in with polite society, some will grit their teeth and pretend so long as it’s gritty and realistic. But there are many males who have zero interest in fiction or even reading.

There’s nothing that can be done about these people. It’s their wiring or their upbringing. It’s an ingrained part of their personality. You get that when you try to explain the idea of a transforming robot and they just look at you with a calm condescension to let you know what an idiot you are for wasting your time on such nonsense.

It’s a mindset. You’re not going to convince someone who feels this way that they’re somehow better off binge watching every series of Gundam no matter how good you think it is.

So there’s that.

But it certainly doesn’t help at all that Walsh was born in 1986 because growing up, the type of Japanese-influenced entertainment he was exposed to was very different from the stuff I grew up watching. In his teens, if he even watched TV (likely a stretch), then Walsh could’ve watched maybe the Power Rangers, Sailor Moon (talk about a stretch), Dragon Ball, Pokemon, Digimon, Yu Gi Oh, and maybe some of the edgier stuff on Toonami like Rurouni Kenshin and Cowboy Bebop.

That’s ... not ... great.

Most of that fare is a lot more fringe and at the same time a lot more commercial than the Japanese entertainment I grew up watching. Growing up in the 70’s, I got to watch Godzilla, Ultraman, Speed Racer, Star Blazers (Space Battleship Yamato), Battle of the Planets (Gatchaman), Voltron, and Robotech. On top of that, a good portion of the mainstream “American” TV entertainment I watched was Japanese co-produced. This includes the perennial Christmas special by Rankin Bass called Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Transformers, GI Joe, Thundercats, and Mighty Orbots to name a few.

I think anyone familiar with Showa-era anime knows that it was something of a high point in terms of engaging story lines and compelling (if at times a bit sloppy) art. But the point is, if you grew up in the 70’s and through the 80’s, if it wasn’t Hanna-Barbera, it was anime.

And Hanna-Barbera was the worst stuff ever put on a TV screen in every respect.

American shows had to be co-produced by Japan because HB just couldn’t deliver the views. So anime ended up being both associated with quality as well as ubiquitous from my very early years.

Take one look at Grape Ape, and then another look at Speed Racer and it won’t surprise you which the kids preferred to watch.

Anime is very popular again now, just as it was when I was growing up. But that 90’s era stuff wasn’t the same for many reasons. For the more serious 90’s anime, the narrative arcs were much longer, requiring a serious time commitment whereas the 70’s and 80’s era stuff ran one season for the most part. Three if you were lucky.

Then you have the target demos. Outside of Toonami, mainstream anime programming was deliberately targeted at the younger teen generation. I have a hard time imagining someone like a young Matt Walsh rushing home to watch Misty and Ash mix it up against Team Rocket or catch the latest episode of Digimon.

But the 70’s anime especially wasn’t really designed for a market demo. With their involved plots, character arcs, and actual deaths, they appealed to all ages. In the 70’s, you didn’t just watch Japanese programming, you got away with watching Japanese programming. It was so transgressive compared to Scooby Doo and Wacky Races.

Back in the day, anime made me happy. I enjoyed watching it in ways that I couldn’t enjoy watching other entertainment.

That’s very similar to the situation now. Only instead of garbage quality animation and writing, younger people today just want to watch something that isn’t preaching at them and telling them how worthless they are because they’re straight, or white, or male.

That’s an extremely relatable position. I didn’t feel good watching the Hanna-Barbera stuff. It actually made me feel kind of sad and the ugliness of it even made me feel queasy. It was in its own way, an exercise in demoralization.

“Well, I’m just a kid, so this is all I get: Fred Flintstone or Hong Kong Phooey.”

Even if he were the type of person to enjoy the Christian practice of exercising one’s imagination, a young Matt Walsh wouldn’t have faced such stark choices because in his time there were more options for entertainment.

He’s welcome to his opinions. He makes money off them, after all. But the era he grew up in was an anime lacuna and at the same time, he didn’t have an entire industry trying to demoralize him like so many of us who found refuge in Japanese media.

But those opinions aren’t from knowledge or experience with anime nor with any situation that calls for its necessity.

So he should keep anime out of his mouth.

Right now, a good percentage of Conservatives (or Conservative-adjacent types) are abandoning logic to claim the shooting of ICE protester Alex Pretti was unjustified. Many of these remarks focus on the legality of carrying a weapon and use a logical argument that goes something like this:

“I’m a Conservative/Libertarian. I believe citizens have a right to bear arms. This belief is extended to all Americans regardless of their political leanings. Therefore Pretti should not have been shot for carrying a weapon.”

These statements do not follow. Pretti was shot while engaging in an extended struggle with law enforcement while armed. Before that, he clearly intended, and acted, in a manner consistent with violating 18 USC 111: assaulting, resisting, or impeding federal officers. Before that, protesters within Minnesota had organized to carry out these same illegal actions on a wide scale. Before that, the state of Minnesota had come under fire for operating a massive fraud scheme funneling billions of our dollars into anti-American or even terroristic organizations which then used that money to subvert Democracy by buying votes and facilitating voting by illegals. Before that, a majority of U.S. citizens voted to end rampant immigration abuse and to reform the government with the express purpose of eradicating all the fraud.

That is the context of Pretti’s actions on Saturday. He’s only the candle standing atop a massive multi-tiered crime cake.

To even insinuate that the shooting happened because ICE agents could not countenance the sight of a Leftist carrying a weapon is a gross mischaracterization of the facts. It shifts the blame to the agents on the scene who had to deal with chaos that was deliberately weaponized against them. Not because they were committing crimes, but because they were enforcing our laws.

It’s also a transparent attempt to divert from Pretti’s many unfortunate choices by making this a discussion about “gun rights” instead of the real story: criminals protecting crime.

But Rightists or Libertarians who fall into this trap fall for Loki’s Gambit. They stupidly took the Left’s sudden concern for second amendment rights as a sincere pivot to “our side” of that argument.

Most people are familiar with the Marvel comics character and, to be honest, that’s the version of the character I’m most familiar with as well.

Loki is an inveterate liar. His guiding motivations are to amass power, wealth, and a following for himself. He is in this respect the consummate Leftist.

At the beginning of the story arc presented in the comic book movies, Loki is very successful in his subterfuge. That success rate goes down as, a few movies in,Thor catches on. He not only becomes more wary of his trickster brother, he even succeeds in turning the tables on him through some trickery of his own.

Thor wouldn’t be a very likable character if he kept allowing himself to be fooled by his brother. Who wants to root for a gullible moron? When he tricks the trickster, it shows growth and development of character.

At several points, Loki plays at amending his ways. Sure he was deceptive, but he didn’t mean to cause so much trouble and gosh he was really sorry for all the horrible things he did.

Of course he doesn’t really mean it. He’s only saying what is most useful in the moment to get Thor to do what he needs him to do.

But as an audience, we can’t help but want to join Thor in forgiving Loki. He’s not just a powerful Asgardian, he’s incredibly charming in a way that is both oily and charismatic. We want Loki on team Thor because there’s such potential for him to do good. His powers are in fact morally neutral. Loki is free to direct his actions towards the ultimate good or towards his own selfish ends. The fact he’s been so successful as a villain means that he would make an equally effective, and even compelling, hero.

This longing to see Thor accept Loki’s contrition at face value reflects a core human desire. Comic book writers have long understood that readers yearn for villains and heroes to team up against a larger, more evil threat and this plot device has been exploited numerous times. Comic books are lousy with characters that routinely oscillate from villain to hero and back again.

Everyone loves it when the villain turns out to have some sincere feeling, some good in his heart after all, but to believe that about the current situation, we must ignore an enormous plot hole. Was the Pretti shooting just a case of someone exercising his second amendment rights, or did the police have reason to believe lives were in danger? Is there any reason to think that a Leftist armed with a gun might intend to do some damage?

It’s also important to point out that Leftists only advocate for gun control after shootings when the person who committed the crime is A) Not a protected class minority and B) Not an apparent Leftist. To that end consider these three examples.

Case Study: The Shooting of Steve Scalise

In 2017, a Bernie Sanders supporter tried to murder the entire Republican softball team, succeeding only in wounding representative Steve Scalise before being neutralized by police. The Left wing outlet FactCheck.org noted:

“Still, the response from gun-control advocates in Congress was noticeably quieter than it had been compared to other high-profile shootings — which some attributed to the politics of the situation. The shooter, who was killed by police, expressed anti-Republican views before the attack. Congressional leaders were taking efforts to demonstrate unity.”

In other words, the shooter’s political motivation prevented Democrats from advocating for gun control legislation. If they really believed such laws would’ve saved lies, their silence sends a disturbing signal. It’s a major plot hole.

Case Study: Nashville Covenant School Shooting

Four days after the 27 March 2023 Covenant Shooting, there was an outpouring of support for gun control in the state of Tennessee culminating in a protest at the state capitol attended by Ali Fedotowsky (a celebrity, apparently).

The furor died down, however, as Conservatives pushed back with the counter-narrative: the shooter Audrey Hale was trans. By the time a portion of her manifesto was released by Stephen Crowder the following November, the conversation had shifted. Gay rights advocates insisted the conversation had to be about gun control, not the shooter’s mental state:

“’[The manifesto] should not be published,’ Jordan Budd, the executive director of Children of Lesbians and Gays Everywhere (COLAGE), told Newsweek. ‘The focus should be on how this was able to happen in the first place. There should not be such easy access to deadly weaponry.’”

When the shooting was still fresh in people’s minds, the Left moved to push for gun control. As the shooter’s identity started to dominate conversations, the concern shifted to finding excuses to keep it under wraps.

Despite having access to the same manifesto that Crowder released, then Attorney General Merrick Garland insisted that there was no clear indicator as to what the shooter’s motive might be.

When the shooter’s identity conflicts with Leftist gun control goals, their institutions go into overdrive to keep that information from coming out.

Why?

Because they don’t advocate for gun control if they are the ones carrying the guns.

Case Study: Armed Leftists

From the New Black Panther Party to the John Brown Gun Club, the Redneck Revolt, the SRA (Socialist Rifle Association), AQSLC (Armed Queers Salt Lake City), and to the Liberal Gun Club -- these are all examples of organizations that wear their love of guns on their sleeves. They are private militias organized around specific terroristic, political, and “self-defense” initiatives. And there are no calls on the Left for these groups to disarm. Nor are they considered a threat.

One could defend this apparent hypocrisy by saying these groups are viewed by the Left as a necessary evil in order to defend against gun-toting Rigth wingers. But a hypocritical stance with an excuse is still a hypocritical stance. It demonstrates the Plot Hole Theory: Leftists are not confused or insane; they are lying. It’s not that the Left has different principles. It’s that they have no principles at all.

People on the Right do have a set of principles that guide their actions, so our behavior is logically consistent with what we say. Conservatives oppose abortion. They do not embrace abortion for the children of Leftists. Nor do Conservatives oppose Leftists’ right to bear arms, to the contrary of present-day internet screeching.

What we see in each of these cases is evidence that, for the Left, words and deeds are out of sync. The only determining factor guiding their push for gun control is the circumstances in each of these cases.

The Plot Hole Deepens: Circumstantial “Beliefs”

When the shooter is a known Leftist, there is no call for gun control. If a Leftist shooter’s political affiliations are not widely known as was initially the case of Audrey Hale or Trump assassin Ryan Wesley Routh, the media and institutions run interference as long as possible. But of course they only do that when the trigger man is a Leftist.

When the shooter’s beliefs include “White supremacy” as was the case in the El Paso Walmart shooting, there is no issue using that detail to both demonize Conservatives as “domestic terrorists” while advocating for gun control.

However, when the people flaunting their love of guns are themselves hardcore Leftist militias, this fact is met with either silence or fawning news pieces expressing appreciation in outlets like Rolling Stone magazine.

Plot holes don’t care if you are on the Left or the right. It isn’t about disbelieving everything a Leftist says. It’s about trying to explain why someone’s views are inconsistent. If this were a story, would it make sense? Why should we expect more integrity and consistency from a Marvel character than we do from those who (in our actual life) are trying to win us over to their radical agenda for our country?

When you question the Left’s inconsistencies, you come to understand that there’s no underlying belief system or philosophy at play here. There never was. The best explanation for why the Leftist’s words and deeds are completely divorced from their professed views over gun control isn’t hard to fathom. They want gun control. But only for you.

Just like Leftists don’t want mass immigration per se. They only want mass immigration that benefits them. The world of the Plot Hole People is one where our legal system has “laws for thee but not for me.” This is the de facto system in the United States now. It’s evident in their circumstantial advocacy for gun control. It’s evident in their circumstantial love of mass migration. It’s evident in their circumstantial love of crime.

Conservatives criticize the two-tiered justice system. I don’t know why. Calling it out will do nothing to rectify it. In fact, to call it out is to signal to the Left that their system is working as intended. No law instituted by Congress is enforced in the same manner for those on the Right and those on the Left. In Congress, Left wingers and Right wingers work together to pass laws, but the Left knows full well that with the right people as AGs and judges, the system will work as they intend: as a trap for the Right and free reign for the Left.

The evidence for this intent is based on their love of the outcome. We can see the corrupt courts in DC and Minnesota. We witness the endless criminal coddling by Soros attorney generals. Why do we pretend that this is the product of some accident and not the result of deliberate design?

If we attend to the plot holes, we won’t be distracted by myriad ideological suppositions or driven to fits of anger over their supposed hypocrisy. Instead, we will understand that every Leftist is Loki, and when they speak it’s not to communicate sincere feelings, or devout beliefs.

It’s to fool us. To manipulate us.

This past weekend, we saw far too many on the Right buy into the framing that Pretti was just a poor innocent protester who happened to have a gun. And by doing so, many played into the hands of the tricksters. These tricksters aren’t picky. Both two-tiered gun control, and two-tiered protesting laws serve their purpose.

Paying attention to their plot holes prevents us from being like Thor when he’s fooled by Loki’s theatrics. We desire to see our opponents reformed and the two sides of American politics finally uniting. But that doesn’t mean we have to believe liars.

It’s not like this desire to unite is wrong-headed or evil. That value judgment doesn’t even come into play because they are not acting in good faith. The Left is not sincere as is evidenced by the fact that their pronouncements are always riddled with plot holes.

Loki’s Gambit is emotional judo, taking something we sincerely long for, namely unity, and using it to foment even more strife to justify even more violence against our law enforcement, and thus our laws, and the electorate that wanted those laws put into place. There is nothing about what’s going on in Minnesota that is even remotely pro-Democratic or pro-freedom. It is by design an operation against both.

Plot Hole Theory reveals that our greatest difficulties when dealing with the Left isn’t the Left; it’s ourselves. It’s our natural human desire to believe the best of people. We perceive Leftists as our mirror images. We have beliefs, philosophies, and ideologies and these are what motivate, direct, embolden, and temper our thoughts, words, and actions. But Leftists do not share our same culture of ideology or belief. Their concerns are always immediate and self-serving. For them, communication is not a process of sharing ideas but of manipulating us into doing what they want.

It works.

It shouldn’t. If a chunkhead like Thor could figure out Loki, we have no excuse. Not if we want to be the heroes of our own story. Not if we want to win.

But lately the one experience I find myself leveraging more than the others is my more recent experience as a J6er.

I’ve criticized the Sedition Hunters for avoiding the topic of current and past BLM and Antifa violence despite the fact that it’s extremely relevant in the defense of what went on that day in January 2021.

I’m the one who thinks it’s relevant and so I feel once more that we need to examine how the Conservative protesters acted during that one four-hour protest and compare it with what’s been going on for months now in these anti-ICE protests being run by the establishment Left.

In particular, I’d like to, once again, bring up the whole pitchfork incident. I’ve touched on this before but if you’re not familiar with the story, the short version is like this:

At the US Capitol, there was a locked door preventing protesters from ascending one of the four main staircases by which people were filtering up to the West Terrace. That door was eventually unlocked by a mystery person and I was the first protester through the bottom door. I was immediately surprised to discover a pitchfork lying next to the stairs at the bottom of the staircase. I had a bad feeling that if I left it alone, I would regret it. So I picked it up and carried the pitchfork in one hand and a Trump flag in the other hand (which I also picked up because I feared someone might trip on it). Then I proceeded to walk up the stairs. The flag is visible on video, but because of the pixilated nature of the only digital footage that shows me with the pitchfork, it’s hard to see. But if you know it’s there, you can tell. Now eventually I worked with other protesters to secure the pitchfork from the premises. It travels down and away from the Capitol, never to be seen again.

Seriously. I have no idea who put it there nor do I know where it went.

What I do know is that no one on either side of the protest was hurt by a pitchfork that day.

It took me a while to figure out what to do with the pitchfork. You can see in the video how I start going towards the tunnel, where the cops were arrayed and fully visible from my vantage, but then turn away and try to get it back down the stairs.

Understand that I’m former intel. I did missions at the TS//SCI//Special Access Program level. Unlike HUMINTers (human intelligence) SIGINTers (signals intelligence) aren’t practiced liars. Our clearance signifies a radical commitment to the truth even in circumstances where the truth could significantly hurt us personally or professionally. We are a community that unfailingly abides by all the rules and obeys all commands.

To put it in more modern parlance, we are all always maxed out on Goodboi points.

Knowing this, I think you can infer that when I contemplated what to do with the pitchfork my first thought was to take it up the stairs and hand it over to the police.

One question that no federal agent, prosecutor, or judge ever asked was: Why didn’t you do that?

It only took a few steps in that direction for me to realize that a bearded, long-haired, six foot two inch tall man lumbering up the steps while holding a pitchfork is a scene that could’ve gone very wrong.

I realized that the cops would have every right to fear for their lives and shoot me before I got halfway up the stairs. Unlike the Ashli Babbitt shooting (which I hadn’t yet known had occurred) that shooting would’ve been justified. But at the same time, you’d have a shot protester bleeding out on the steps like a true martyr. From that point, I think the theatricality of the scene would’ve massively exacerbated the situation.

Seeing this probable turn of events in my mind, I decided against trying to hand the pitchfork over to the cops, even though that left me standing in the middle of a very emotional protest with a very conspicuous weapon I desperately didn’t want.

Last week was a very odd week for me. The anniversary of Jan 6 is a time of high emotion and very mixed feelings. I think you can tell that from my writings.

Yet the week had so much more in store. On Tuesday, the Democrats went into a high dudgeon bemoaning the Insurrection that Never Was. They relied on tired and disproved talking points that an uncoordinated gaggle of unarmed protesters nearly toppled the world’s greatest superpower. In the span of four hours.

So that was the mood among Democrats on Tuesday last week.

The following day, Wednesday, the same people who screeched about insurrection by tourists were suddenly self-proclaimed experts in the law of self defense for law enforcement.

On Tuesday, any Conservative who looked funny at a DC Metro cop deserved life in prison.

The next day, it became an inalienable right for every citizen to ignore police instruction, resist arrest, and run over cops with an SUV.

The waves of mental pain induced by the massive cognitive dissonance of this segment of the population nearly gave me a migraine.

They were the same people. How could they possibly think both ideas were true? How do law enforcement go from sacred and untouchable pillars of the community one day and a Stasi scourge the next?

The Good shooting and subsequent events where protesters taunted, jeered, impeded, and even hit law enforcement officers sent many Conservatives back to their whiteboards. It was another event, like the aftermath of the Charlie Kirk assassination, that had people seriously wondering what exactly happens in the mind of a Leftist that makes it react in ways that are both counterintuitive and counterfactual?

One psychologist surmised that Leftists suffer from four mental disorders: Histrionic Personality Disorder, Narcissistic Personality Disorder, Anti-Social Personality Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorder.

Another theory floated by scifi author Devon Ericksen posits that Leftists have forsaken their humanity by relinquishing personal agency in order to adopt the mental operations in the same manner as an LLM (Language Learning Model.) LLMs are the core of what makes AI work. They are programs that produce certain life-like results based on massive amounts of “training” through the processing of whole reams of written information.

As a result, these people, like AI, don’t understand objects in objective space time the way the rest of us do. Ericksen explains:

What I mean is that humans who are large language models do not have a robust world-object model to counterweight their language model. They are able to manipulate symbols, sometimes adroitly, but they are on far shakier ground when trying imagine the objects those symbols represent.

He continues:

You cannot confront her with the logical inconsistencies in her worldview, because her object model doesn’t actually have any, it’s not complex enough for that.

The relevant parts of her world-object model can be summed up as follows:

“If I say Goodthing, I get headpats and cookies from all the people like me.”

That model is simply not big or complicated enough to contain notions like self-defense or vehicular assault. She has no theory of mind for a man whose job includes violence. She cannot explain or predict his behavior.

It is too far away from her daily experience to fit into her reality at all.

And if she can’t imagine things like these, how can she possibly imagine concrete meanings for vast and complex ideas like demographic replacement, culture shift, and western civilization?

This is not about intelligence or lack of it. This is about what her brain is trained to do.

Her upbringing, education, and life did not force, or even encourage, her to develop a robust world-object model. It wasn’t necessary for her to get safety, approval, or cookies. She just had to be glib.

So it really didn’t matter if she had an IQ of 125, or whatever, because if she did, then she was just an IQ-125-large-language-model, and only used that brain capacity for writing clever poetry, and saying things that aligned her to her local social matrix.

She couldn’t actually understand the world no matter how smart she was, because her brain was trained up wrong.

The model feels valid. It helps to understand why someone would make the types of choices that so clearly could lead to their doom. To put it simply, Good and her spouse didn’t grasp the apparent outcome because their mental models could not accommodate reality.

They were like someone walking around wearing VR goggles. What they were interacting with in their virtual world wasn’t the same thing that was happening in real life.

Some have noticed that after the shooting Good’s spouse asked why the cops had to “use real bullets” as if she assumed that when an officer draws a gun, he has a choice as to what kind of bullets a gun can fire. It’s not a gun, but a Star Trek phaser in her mind.

This would support the idea that the two were fundamentally disconnected from reality. Like a child who jumps off his house wearing a cape thinking he can fly, they discovered the disconnect between reality and mental construct.

There are similar other theories that involve brainwashing or hypnosis. These are the types of exotic ideas I’ve entertained myself. Although my preferred term is “menticided.”

I have two problems with these models.

One is that they feel overly complex. Very simple things are being over-pathologized and they rob Leftists of a certain degree of their humanity by denying their rational minds and personal autonomy. The LLM model posits that these people have systematized their thought into unnatural processes, becoming little more than AI running on biological hardware. The Personality Disorder model adds another disorder for each trait that cannot be attributed to the ones already evident making it more of a pastiche than a qualified analysis.

The other problem is both these models fail in their analysis to provide a clear method for dealing with the Left. The attitude at the end is, “Wow. This is really bad. But what are you going to do about it?”

I’d like to add my own observation for consideration. This isn’t a refutation of other people’s theories, but just what I noticed.

I believe that Good and her spouse are liars and it’s their lies that got them into this situation. I believe they understood the risks but freely chose to do the things they did because they believed their actions would benefit them in some way.

The primary reason for this conclusion is that their version of events doesn’t stand up to scrutiny.

Let’s go back to J6. We’ll compare it with Venezuela. In order to take the “insurrection” side of the argument sincerely, you have to believe that a disorganized, uncoordinated, and unarmed group of people who dejectedly left for their hotels by curfew in DC were more of a threat to the future of the Republic than the Delta Force team that toppled the tiny dictatorship of Venezuela with space weapons.

From the raid launch to the time Maduro was aboard the USS Iwo Jima roughly 4-5 hours elapsed. That’s about the same amount of time J6ers protested at the Capitol. In Venezuela, it also took hundreds of planes, along with helicopters, drones and a weapon that exists only in legend now.

That’s what it took to depose a tin-pot dictator in Venezuela.

Yet, according to Leftists, I and my fellow protesters very nearly did the same thing to the United States without so much as a Snickers in my pocket.

This is what I call the “plot hole” at the center of Leftist J6 hysteria.

It lies at the core of the government’s justification for how it reacted to the event, but reality revealed that it was merely a politically useful narrative.

From that plot hole come various other narrative inconsistencies. The inaction on the pipe bomber is one that still hasn’t been explained. Why didn’t the FBI prioritize what was obviously the greatest threat: a dangerous weapon capable of killing multiple people at a time? Why instead divert resources to picking up the unarmed people like me who caused no damage or harm despite having been in a position to do so?

You know the answer and I know the answer. We don’t need an explanation from the DoJ no matter who’s running it to understand that this incongruous situation is, in and of itself, a clear indicator that the FBI was exaggerating the true impact we had on the government.

It wasn’t a true story. They knew it wasn’t a true story. It was a useful story that they could leverage to justify rounding us up.

It’s a plot hole because the actions taken are inconsistent with the reasoning behind it. If I were a writer working on a story inspired by the events of Jan 6, I would be forced to revise my story to iron out that pipe bomber detail so it makes sense.

There are other plot holes in Jan 6.

One big point that drives our detractors crazy is the fact that we were never asked to disperse until we were already leaving. Why did that order come so late? We believe it’s because if the gathering was indeed declared unlawful around 3pm as opposed to around 5pm, the majority of protesters would’ve dutifully complied with law enforcement and the event would’ve ended.

Why did the police behind Ashli Babbitt take cover as she climbed through the window instead of putting her in cuffs? They could catch her after she was shot, but not pull her back to safety and custody?

Why weren’t the actions of virtuous protesters rewarded? If the threat was actually real, why do we only hear about the protesters that dragged Michael Fanone out of the tunnel and not the protesters who convinced him to holster his gun while telling the other protesters to back off? Why didn’t the protesters who quelled the crowd around Fanone and the ones who calmly backed off get recognition for saving officers’ (plural) lives if indeed the scene was so deadly to law enforcement as they say?

Why did the DoJ have to invent a law to charge protesters?

Why did the judges go along with any of this?

We’re so used to calling Leftists out on their hypocrisy that we lose sight of the fact that these aren’t momentary lapses in self awareness. They’re plot holes. The mark of a sloppy writer or whatever you want to call the people who craft their political narrative.

They aren’t confused or biased. They’re deliberately misrepresenting facts to justify actions they want to take.

Renee and Rebecca Good were doing the same thing.

There are in fact several plot holes in their version of events.

Plot Hole 1: Trump is a dictator and ICE are his gestapo.

We all know what the incongruity is here. If Trump were a dictator, he’d be making a sweep of the country to arrest his political opponents. Like Biden did with us.

Democrats may say this is the case, but their actions reveal a completely contrary understanding. No J6er violently resisted arrest by the FBI. We have guns and protein. Resisting was possible at any number of levels of violence. None of us did so.

Yet every Leftist protester resists law enforcement or helps others to resist. That’s the whole point of these protests. J6ers acted consistently with the understanding that Biden was a tyrant. Leftists manifestly do not. The only conclusion is that they’re lying for effect.

Plot Hole 2: Renee Good and her spouse were afraid of ICE and both the command to drive and the subsequent action were the result of that fear.

Manifestly untrue. Throughout the day including up to the moment Good was shot, their attitude towards the police betrayed not fear but defiance. They organized obstruction efforts. When directly approached and challenged, they brayed and taunted. They allowed their vehicle plates and faces to be recorded. The reason people have such a hard time understanding their mindset is because their attitudes were so incongruous with the severity of the situation. Literally no one who has watched the scene believes Good was afraid.

And yet, by the time ICE approaches her vehicle and commands her to step out, she had already committed the same crime that I was convicted of: 18 USC 111: “Assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers or employees.” When I was convicted, the prosecution wanted 5 years.

Plot Hole 3: Drive, baby Drive!

Having had their faces and plates recorded by federal law enforcement, there was literally nowhere in the country the couple could have gone to hide from the long arm of the law. Rebecca verbally acknowledged this fact as the ICE officer was recording her. At that point, both Renee and Rebecca knew they could not hide.

If that’s the case, why step on the gas pedal?

It’s not confusion or fear because they were both calm in the presence of the officers. And it wasn’t to get away because at that point they knew what I knew when the feds knocked on my front door: there’s no escape.

That leaves only one logical reason to step on the accelerator.

It’s the same reason the officer fired.

“But she was scared!”

Specious. That’s not what happened. It’s what they want you to think. Why? So other Leftists can continue acting the fool and stop law enforcement from removing illegal aliens who vote Democrat. It’s not an explanation. It’s manipulation.

Let me get personal again. Five months is the amount of time between when my wanted picture came on the FBI’s J6 website and the day I was arrested. During that time, do you think I lived a normal life?

No. I barely left my house. I was afraid of being run up on by feds while I was shopping or going to church. Every damn morning, I would go to my front window and peek between the blinds and count the number of cars parked on my street, taking note of their make and model. When I did leave home, I constantly looked over my shoulder.

I was scared. I was scared of the feds.

I didn’t go out of my way to force an interaction between them and showcase a breezy bravado, “It’s okay, dude!”

The way I acted was consistent with how someone who fears federal law enforcement behaves.

Let’s look at history. Oskar Schindler, the protagonist from the movie Schindler’s List which is based on a true story. How did he help the Jews? Did he walk up to the SS and suggest they get sandwich and that he didn’t care if they knew his face? Did he make it clear that he disagreed with their actions and wanted to thwart them?

Oskar Schindler behaved in a manner consistent with someone who recognized the threat posed by the Nazi regime.

Did the Goods act in a manner consistent with their stated motivations and “beliefs?”

The whole reason they were there in the first place, ostensibly, was to “resist” a tyrannical regime. The same regime that Democrats and the media have been saying that ICE agents are disappearing and somehow deporting full-fledged citizens.

Yet the actions taken by the Goods were not consistent with their reason for interfering with law enforcement.

That’s a plot hole.

And if they misrepresented their reason for even being there in the first place, why would we accept their reason for trying to run over an ICE officer? Why?

Just like when I when I challenge the Biden DoJ’s J6 narrative, all I’m doing is taking their words at their face value. It was an insurrection. The bomb was real and capable of harming multiple people. MAGA represented an existential threat to the Republic.

I listened to what they said, and I used my imagination to picture how they should have reacted, and then compared that to what actually happened. And that’s where you find the plot holes.

According to the Goods, they were freedom fighters in a resistance movement, then they became defiant and belligerent towards what they likened to the SS, and then suddenly they became quaking and helpless victims. From before that day and throughout that day, they changed who they were according to what they needed. Like the Goods, everything about this case from the protests to the reactions are merely performative.

If they believed what they said, they would’ve acted in a manner consistent with those beliefs. Like I did. Or like Oskar Schindler did.

Like Ashli Babbitt did. She too was a victim of police violence. But throughout the day, she was the same person. From start to bloody finish, Ashli was Ashli.

The Goods were not. They changed.

I can imagine a prosecutor successfully using this very angle of attack against Rebecca Good in trial. That’s the benefit of my theory of Leftist psychology. It explains and presents a predictive model. It also does not strip the Goods of their personal agency and individual morality. But most of all, it’s not a psychological theory but a tactical assessment. And because of that, it provides us with a workable and effective counter to the Leftist tendency to force us to LARP in their perpetual fan fictions.

By looking only at their motivations and not being sidetracked by their questionable mental condition, this Plot Hole Theory accounts for a number of traits unique to Leftists:

• Lying

• Hypocrisy

• Disinformation

• Appeals to emotion

• “Software updates” (i.e. random changes in what triggers them)

• Associating with trans and Muslims (personal license)

• Inwardly main character while as behaving like broken NPCs (i.e. “experts” who don’t know what a woman is)

• Love of censorship (projecting their own weaponization of speech)

• Total disinterest in debate (speech is manipulation and not idea-sharing)

• Immunity to cognitive dissonance (because reason and logic were never factors)

• Strong party appeal to women (communication habits are generally more emotional and manipulative)

• Strong party appeal to criminals, deviants, and experts who are constantly seeking to leverage their positions to exercise more power over others

• The overblown tantrums whenever they don’t get their way

Plot Hole Theory also relieves Conservatives of certain assumptions that impede rational and just reaction to Leftist ploys.

One is that we assume people have core beliefs and structure their reasoning around those beliefs. We look at Leftism as an ideology and intone seriously about the flaws and dangers of Marxism, atheism, materialism, utilitarianism and so forth. The Left does not operate at an ideological level at all. Ideological people would actually yearn for debate over street combat.

All they care about is being left alone to do what they want no matter the consequences. That is the assumption, the means, and the object of all that they do. Hence appeals to truth, reason, consistent logic, morality, or common sense have no impact and never will.

They know they aren’t being sincere and they don’t care.

Just because the Left frames everything in narratives which they themselves don’t rationally agree with, doesn’t mean we have to play along. In their minds, we may be characters in their stories, but they don’t control what we say or do. I have a pen. You have a pen. We can just as easily summon our own main character energy.

And the best way to counter them is to ruin their story by running right up to their fourth wall and break it. Preferably with maximum consequences like what will happen to Rebecca Good when her case finally goes to trial.

This assessment doesn’t necessarily invalidate those other models saying that Leftists also are four layers of crazy or have completely broken minds like the Personality Disorder and LLM models suggest.

Attacking the plot holes hits Leftists right in their narratives. It exposes them as callous, manipulative phonies whose only real goal is getting license to do whatever they want and live without consequences.

We don’t need to navel gaze about their psychological state or how they’ve rewired their brains. Consequences like prison and lost prestige will lear them real quick. Their ploys will no longer act as a smokescreen for bad behavior but as a signal flare that they’re the real villains.

Not in their story. But in the only narrative that really matters: the story that is true.

Should Walsh be a fan of Rudolph, then he does in fact like at least one anime. Those of us who are aficionados of the genre recognize that, despite the fact that Rudolph is 3D and not 2D, it was made in Japan using an easily recognizable visual language employed by Japanese pop culture. It’s said that if you were to hold the actual figures used to shoot the beloved TV special, you would find that their insides are actually stuffed with Japanese newspapers.

The show’s credits say the animation was done by an American company called Rankin Bass, but the animation was outsourced to Japan.

Why am I talking about this?

Well, it comes to mind because Japan stands out in American history. Japan initiated war with us through its devastating attack on Pearl Harbor, destroying many of our planes and decimating our Pacific fleet.

The Pacific theater was a long and brutal affair which combined naval combat along with moments of jungle warfare. Both sides suffered humiliation and huge losses. The United States took the Pacific islands but our captured soldiers were also forced to undergo the “Bataan death march” which killed over 5,000 Filipino and 650 American soldiers.

Because the Japanese were so good at guerrilla warfare, the US decided it was in our best interest to use a brand new type of weapon, the atom bomb, in order to force Japan to surrender. We dropped not one but two. To this day, the United States remains the only nation to have used an atomic weapon and Japan remains the only nation to have been nuked.

The US totally obliterated Japan’s military. Then we walked into the country and basically said who would live and who would die. The military leaders were subjected to war crime trials. But the US government decided that for the sake of a smooth transition, the Emperor would not face any such indignity. Then we wrote their constitution and determined that Japan would be run democratically but through a parliamentary process with a Prime Minister instead of using our own model with a congress and president. And then to top it all off, we told them they weren’t allowed to have a military of their own and that we would act as their military instead.

And that was that.

You’d expect the relationship between Japan and the US to be one of smoldering hostility until this very day. But it obviously isn’t.

In the years and decades following, Japan focused on rebuilding. Not just her nation and her infrastructure, but also her culture and economy. Japan had a very special talent. Despite the inscrutability of her language and culture, she had a fun and unique visual style that translated very well across all cultures.

People from Korea, to France, to Michigan fell in love with that distinct visual style.

Growing up, I used to watch a Japanese space opera called Star Blazers. It featured a giant battleship retrofitted for space travel. In the process of localization that ship’s original name was lost but in subsequent years I discovered that the ship’s name was the Yamato, the flagship of the Japanese imperial navy in World War II and the largest battleship in human history to this day.

Eventually I would come to understand the significance of the fact that the imperial seal at the bow of the ship had been replaced by a giant muzzle of an honking big laser cannon that could fire beams capable of destroying entire planets. While it at first eluded me, I also came to understand the significance that almost all the characters died in desperate suicide missions to save planet Earth.

The show synthesized the issues post-war Japan grappled with. Issues like the enormous destructive power of modern weapons. As well as the use of kamikaze suicide pilots. Was that a legacy to be proud of, or was it a pointless waste of life?

At the end of the day, you didn’t have to be Japanese to recognize that the show had many fine qualities and was orders of magnitudes better than anything being produced in America at the time.

Japan had some real problems to deal with as she also worked to redefine herself in the post war age. The United States could’ve been real jerks to her during those years, but as Japan matured, America’s influence there naturally waned.

The examples of Rudolph and Star Blazers show how, despite the historical, cultural, and linguistic differences, Japan ended up so enriched that they began influencing American culture. Though it’s been over half a century since the original stop motion Christmas special aired, the cultural influence has only grown and continues to grow to this day.

By the late 1980s, the country’s economy had become so robust, that the image of the powerful Japanese corporation became a Hollywood stereotype. Some movies predicted a future where the Japanese ran America.

Today, our relationship remains very strong. We are encouraging Japan to grow her military and take on a more active role as a partner in a region being threatened by Beijing hegemony. Japan’s “Self-Defense” force, while not a military in name, actually ranks 8th overall in the world’s militaries by Global Firepower. That puts it above countries like Italy, Germany, and even Israel.

Has anything like this ever happened in the history of mankind? I’m not sure if there are any examples of one nation completely destroying another nation and, instead of ruling it like tyrants or just taking all their stuff and exploiting her people; we become not just friends but also completely culturally independent. We grew in friendship and rivalry at the same time.

In the American revolution, we beat the crown, but that only sent them packing. We didn’t load up our ships, and hop over to London and start dictating terms. Sure, we forged a strong and long-lasting friendship with the Brits, but that’s nothing compared to the post-war interaction we’ve had with Japan.

The point I’m making here is that this is probably the crown jewel of achievements when it comes to the concept of regime change and it is a wholly American and Japanese story of success.

Right now, we have two major regimes undergoing monumental change thanks to either direct or (mostly) indirect actions on the part of the United States. There are a lot of people, even on the right, who are intoning the threat of a quagmire. People who insist that regime change is just not possible. That it has never worked.

There’s no shortage of recent examples of failure. Afghanistan especially stands out as a failure that still burns in our collective memory. But the fact of the matter is that it was America who executed the best possible regime change in human history and only America is capable of pulling off a repeat performance today.

Among these regime change skeptics, many are saying that these actions by Trump are some sort of betrayal of his campaign promises. But the fact is, Trump has never taken regime change off the table. It would be stupid to do so as it is one of his greatest points of leverage. If there’s anything you can predict about Trump is that he never gives away that which remains useful. As long ago as of January 2020, the last year of Trump’s first administration, the Cato Institute had this to say:

And while President Trump has downgraded democracy promotion in his administration’s foreign policy, discussions within the Trump administration regarding regime change have continued. Throughout Trump’s time in office, members of his foreign policy team have considered targeting the regimes in Venezuela, Iran, and North Korea. Even though the Trump administration has not taken armed action to remove these governments, the mere fact that officials within the administration have held high-level policy discussions on the topic shows that it remains a viable policy option.

Options! That’s what President Trump is all about. Using whatever tools he has to effect any change he feels is most needed.

Donald Trump’s real campaign promise is to avoid costly and never-ending conflicts that don’t serve America’s interests. It’s annoying that his critics can’t distinguish the difference between these two policy points. Nor can they understand why one is desirable and the other isn’t.

By executing regime change in Venezuela, the president is keeping his promise to protect we Americans by removing not only a source of dangerous drugs, but also a major supporter of global Islamic terror.

On top of that, he’s made China pay a huge price for meddling in our hemisphere. Beijing had invested at least $62 billion in the country. That’s money that they will never see returned and it serves them right for trying to enact their own regime change with one of our most important neighbor countries.

I ask the regime change skeptics: is the solution to this aggressive takeover of our neighbor countries by a hostile Communist power simply to sit back and hope for the best? Because that’s actually been the policy for these past few decades.

Keep in mind, China is still flooding the country with fentanyl from Canada. The best way to stop the fentanyl is to stop China. By taking Venezuelan and Iranian oil off the table, we’ve effectively cut off China from wholly 30% of its oil supply.

In order to protect the country from drugs, terror, and the international Red-Green alliance, we need to take China out of the picture. Ask any prior president how they would achieve that and you’d get only two answers.

1) Do nothing and hope the problem goes away

2) Open full scale hostilities at an enormous cost of human life

President Trump found a third way. It also happens to be the best way. And because it’s never been considered by any government functionary before, you know that it’s also the smartest way.

Honestly, this is such an astounding accomplishment that I’m still reeling from the implications of what the president has been able to achieve in a few targeted moves.

If you can’t appreciate the scope and scale of what is being done by taking Maduro out of Venezuela, your opinion doesn’t really matter.

As far as the question of whether or not such a regime change is possible, I think it is.

The aforementioned Cato Institute piece says that the success in post-war Germany and Japan are owed to factors like modern economies, developed bureaucracies, and experience with democracy.

These are definitely the case for both Iran and Venezuela, but I have to point out that the CATO Institute is approaching the question in the context of more recent attempts of regime change like Afghanistan where modern liberal Western democracy was imposed on a country that had no experience with it.

But it’s not necessarily the case that one has to impose something that is unfamiliar upon a country where regime change takes place. By allowing those countries to decide for themselves what type of government they want, you remove that point of friction.

Iran, for example, will likely move towards a constitutional monarchy while Venezuela will likely transition to a more typical model for the free nations in the New World. These approaches echo the US decision to allow the Japanese emperor to remain as that nation’s monarch.

In Venezuela’s case the country is both advanced in terms of economics and in terms of government and it has experience with democracy. The nation used to be a thriving democracy and at one point had the 4th largest GDP on the planet which allowed it to dwarf even the GDP of China.

It’s not impossible for the nation to get back on its feet again and it’s clear from the scenes of jubilant Venezuelans celebrating Maduro’s departure that a return to the status quo of better times is widely desired.

With these impediments thus removed, there’s no reason the US can’t do with Iran and Venezuela exactly what they did with Germany and Japan: take a nation from defeat to independence and prosperity and friendship.

I believe that another key aspect to prior regime change attempts lies in America’s restraint. Odd to say about a country that dropped two atomic bombs, but the case of Japan demonstrates an almost surgical approach to getting the country back on its feet. Keep the emperor, get rid of the generals, then step back and let Japan govern herself. The type of “nation-building” we engaged in with Afghanistan was too heavy-handed and we imposed too many concepts that were either alien or outright rejected by the people there. Afghanistan didn’t have the buy-in that Japan did. That’s because the key to getting that buy-in is letting the people know they’re the architects of their future.

This is exactly what’s going on in Venezuela and Iran right now. That’s a great sign that things are in good hands.

Making friends with nations we were once hostile with is really a rare quality in a country. And it’s an unsung American skill unique in the annals of human history. I think the people of America, Venezuela, and Iran can all rejoice in the fact that it’s something no one has ever done better.

3. a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something, usually initiated by some simple, homely, or commonplace occurrence or experience.

4. a literary work or section of a work presenting, usually symbolically, such a moment of revelation and insight.

I was raised Baptist so, like most non-Catholics, when I think of the word it’s those last two definitions that come to mind. Growing up “epiphany” always meant the sudden insight. That moment when reality cracks your mental constructs and makes itself known at once brilliant and terrifying.

That’s why my personal favorite term for that day has never been “Jan 6” or “J6” but “the Epiphany Massacre.”

Epiphany because it involved a sudden revelation of an uncomfortable truth. That our government prefers to operate outside of the conventions and constraints of a normal modern Democracy. That it will lie to seat a failed candidate in the White House. That, in defense of that lie, it will send as many people as is necessary to prison. Over the past five years, I’ve been ground between the relentless and remorseless wheels of government disdain.

Who am I, a mere citizen, to the whims of the pampered and preened uppercrust of DC? Surely their desires to funnel tax dollars into the private college fund of their weak-chinned inbred progeny is vastly more consequential than a trifle like my personal constitutional rights.

I use the term “Massacre” deliberately too. The Boston Massacre of 1770 resulted in the death of five colonists at the hands of British soldiers. Only five died. We still call it a massacre.

Kent State is another massacre. That was a protest where the National Guard shot indiscriminately into crowds at a protest, hitting some protesters and some random students. There were many injuries, but the death toll was always four.

That’s the same number of protesters who didn’t make it home on January 6. Most people know about Ashli Babbit who was executed at near point-blank range despite being unarmed. A few more know about Rosanne Boyland who beaten about the head with a baton until she died on the steps of the West Terrace where I protested. Lesser known are Kevin Greeson and Benjamin Phillips — two men whose deaths, like Boyland’s, are owed to something other than police violence.

Beyond that, we have six suicides brought about by the process. The same process that pushed me to the edge. Suicide is a terrible thing but unless you’re a completely normal person who’s been tricked into signing a guilty plea only to have the prosecution surprise you at sentencing with terrorism enhancements like they did Matt Perna — unless you’ve experienced that I suggest you withhold judgement.

By my count, that’s 10 dead at the hands of the state. Sure the initial day is what earns it the classification as massacre in my book. But the fact is, the way the government handled our cases it was clear that their only regret was not killing more of us.

I was in a massacre and I got out alive. By definition that makes me a survivor of a massacre. Normally that’s something to be proud of but the bulk of my brothers and my father and not to mention my coworkers who informed on me then fired me — to those people it wasn’t a point of pride.

“I survived a massacre and all I got was this lousy orange getup.”

I used to say that in DC DOC.

Epiphany Massacre. Yeah, I’m the only one who calls it that. But to me, that’s what it’s always going to be.

It’s funny because in prison, I was always the least prison guy in any scenario. Like a professor somehow suddenly transported into the walls and wearing that dumb orange smock. Now that I’m out of prison, I feel the inmate welling up within me.

I’m angry. I’m impatient. And I hate. All the time. I mostly hate those Communists who call themselves Democrats. I don’t have any love for the media, either. Then you have the random menticided netizen dupe running around to this very day like every one of us was a live nuclear warhead toddling along the steps of the nation’s Capitol.

I also hate the feds who trained long guns at my middle school English teacher wife and screamed at her to walk backward out of our own damn house with her hands on her head. The bastards. Those cowards.

I hate the guards who taunted us in DC and elsewhere. Special mention goes to the son of a bitch who tried to ensure that I missed my own sentencing by falsifying records. Had he been successful, I would’ve missed the first chance I had to see wife (albeit indirectly because courtroom interactions are prohibited) in nine months.

I hate judge Nichols who jettisoned “beyond a reasonable doubt” as a standard for “common sense inference.” I could tell how pleased he felt about his Solomonic wisdom in sentencing me to only three years (the prosecution wanted five) when exactly zero people were hurt and zero property damage was caused by my actions. Nine months would’ve been considered overly harsh standard in the country before the Epiphany Massacre. So when my mother died, I was in prison. This is a wound I haven’t even been able touch, so poignant and burning is the pain.

I hate the prosecutors who sprung new evidence on us a mere few days before the trial. I hate that, when we used a surprise witness to completely decimate their harm argument, they threatened to pull out of the trial, go back to the drawing board and come up with a whole new list of charges and new witnesses and draw out the pretrial experience on another two months at least. They knew I didn’t have the money for that. I spent nearly every spare cent I had on a new suit and airfare for that farce. I couldn’t come up with that kind of money. It was stay out of jail and become homeless or go to jail and know my wife had a place to live.

Which would you chose?

But yeah, those guys were pure bastards.

I’ve been through tough times before. I was in the Navy. I rode submarines. I know what it’s like to deal with difficult or impossible people in high stress and high stakes situations. But this experience gave me something new. I’ve learned from their soulless remorselessness. I have a cold anger in my veins now. And God help me if I ever come across any of these people again in my life. And please if it does happen, do not test me, God, by putting them before me in a state of distress or need. I will fail that test. If I came across any of them when they were drowning in the ocean, I’d piss in it to make it all the deeper.

I hate this new part in me. It’s alien. It’s changed my personality in profound ways. You could say the penal reformation system has re-formed me into something I never thought I’d become. So I have to fight it. I use prayer. And alcohol. And words.

The topic is still a raw nerve for me. But I’ve written more about the Epiphany Massacre over the past year than I realized. What follows are those pieces in reverse chronological order. See if you can spot the darkness that still haunts the mind at this keyboard.

“By Monday afternoon, Taiwan’s defence ministry said it had detected 28 navy and coastguard ships, including two that entered Taiwan’s contiguous zone. At least 89 warplanes – the largest daily tally for more than a year – were counted, and a formation of four amphibious assault ships, which can carry dozens of rotary aircraft, was spotted 160 nautical miles west of Taiwan’s southern tip.”

The purpose was unambiguous:

Col Shi Yi, the spokesperson for the PLA’s eastern theatre command, said the drills were “a stern warning against ‘Taiwan independence’ separatist forces and external interference forces”. A foreign ministry spokesperson, Lin Jian, said unnamed “external parties” were pushing the region closer to war.

“Any sinister schemes to obstruct China’s reunification are doomed to fail,” Lin said.

Today’s Chinese military is formidable, no doubt. And her Navy is one of the best in the world. But beneath the surface, the country is plagued by numerous flaws -- any one of which could prove fatal in the event of open hostilities.

One huge problem in China is her government is a crumbling edifice built more on selfishness and greed than principles like justice, fairness, and truth. This sort of problem can only be expected when you purge religion from every corner of your society in the name of soulless Marxist materialism and then suddenly decide you want the same nice things that your more traditionalist Asian Capitalist neighbors have.

As recently as October, Chairman Xi Jinping decapitated his own military, removing nine members of leadership across the board. According to the Institute of War, those removed include:

• General He Weidong, second-ranked Central Military Commission (CMC) Vice Chairman

• General Miao Hua, CMC Political Work Department director

• General He Hongjun, CMC Political Work Department executive deputy director

• General Wang Xiubin, CMC Joint Operations Command Center executive deputy director

• General Lin Xiangyang, Eastern Theater Command commander

• General Qin Shutong, PLA Ground Forces political commissar

• Admiral Yuan Huazhi, PLA Navy political commissar

• General Wang Houbin, PLA Rocket Force commander

• General Wang Chunning, People’s Armed Police (PAP) commander

The official reason for this purge was described as a serious violation of “party discipline” and “duty-related crimes ... involving an extremely large amount of money.”

If you know anything about what’s been going on in China this past decade, you know this type of purge isn’t exactly new. The country has been engaged in anti-corruption investigations for a while and many of those investigations either haven’t concluded or haven’t made their findings public yet. Suddenly, being a high-ranking party member means you’re I likely to be disappeared, it seems:

“The generals expelled on October 17 are part of a larger group of senior officers across all parts of the military whom the CCP has investigated or punished since late 2024. Taiwanese National Security Bureau (NSB) Director Tsai Ming-yen reported on October 15 that over half of the 35 PLA generals (including three lieutenant generals acting as full generals) have been absent from public view for the past six months and 16 of them since December 2024. The generals purged on October 17 included top leaders in all PLA services except the Air Force, but leaders in every service and theater command have been targeted by anti-corruption authorities since late 2024. This wave of purges appears to be separate from anti-corruption investigations that targeted the PLA Rocket Force and equipment procurement in 2023, removing the PLA Rocket Force commander and two defense ministers.” (emphasis mine)

There are real world ramifications when the people running your military are opting to use substandard materials in order to cut corners and skim the savings for themselves. Or when the procurement process is routed through a company run by a well-positioned relative. Or when leadership is secretly selling hardware or intel.

So it’s a legitimate question as to who the Taiwan exercise is really intended to impress. Is it for the Taiwanese and her allies America and Japan? Or is it for the people of China who may be under the impression that her military is being run by a bunch of nepo kleptocrats?

Would you feel comfortable gearing up for combat if the people running the military were these self-interested jokers? Probably not. The battlefield is the wrong place to discover that your ship’s diesel engine can’t really maintain top speed without coming apart. Or that your body armor is counterfeit.

And if someone hands you a Temu parachute and tells you to jump, would you do it?

Corruption is a crime the state commits against itself. It is the product of a purely materialist and utilitarian view of the world. A view where goodness is for suckers who think they’ll be rewarded by some benevolent bearded man in the afterlife when the only thing really worth having is right here on Earth.

Now that I think about it, that’s a perspective which is remarkably similar to our own Democrats here in our country, isn’t it? I mean what is the Democrat party but a team of America-hating Communists and foreigners whose primary goal in life is self-enrichment?

A few years ago, statements like that would’ve come across as a bit overheated and maybe too hyperbolic but after a year of DOGE, NGO scandals, missing Pacific Palisades wildfire “relief,” an Islamist Communist mayor elected by foreigners, and a nationwide bilking of billions of taxpayer dollars of which Minnesota is merely emblematic, such invective can be reasonably considered a restrained mainstream take.

All of these scams are about Democrats buying friends to make it look like their extremist platform is actually popular with the voter. They put out the welcome mat to every warm body they can loop into their money laundering scheme with the goal of buying votes.

Like the military corruption in China, our homegrown corruption isn’t merely about moving a few pennies from column A to column B. Life isn’t a spreadsheet. The ramifications are nothing short of the destruction of the very concept of American self-rule.

It’s not that Democrats are oblivious to the detrimental effects of their actions, it’s that they see no upside in maintaining anything about the American republic. That’s where their hatred of America comes into play. It’s easier to assuage any iota of guilt you feel over your corrupt schemes if you convince yourself you always wanted to burn the whole thing down in the first place.

This means that, while these scandals are motivated by greed, their implications are traitorous. People like Walz and Ilhan Omar aren’t serving America, they’re destroying it. As a former Mandarin linguist, I can’t help but think about Walz’s chummy relationship with China. You know, that country I just mentioned is having its own existential struggle against corruption.

I feel like Walz was the PRC’s vector to infect America with its own social disorder.

Right now, the DoJ is “surging resources“ to Minnesota in its investigation of this industrial scale fraud. Surging didn’t use to be a thing in law enforcement. There was a time when you found crime and then simply investigated the criminals. But the DoJ has to make something of a show of its reaction. Like the PRC naval exercises the show is meant to impress people on all sides of the issue.

So does that fact comfort you?

I think we’re supposed to be reassured that the government is reacting with such overt vigor. Perhaps that’s to make up for the fact that the same government has been turning a blind eye to this very same scam for over a decade. In fact, it’s hard to see how things could’ve gotten this bad without a little government complicity.

As I’ve said in previous pieces, the DoJ itself is an extremely compromised organ. I have especial disdain for the judiciary because they’re the loyal last line of defense for any Democrats caught red-handed. Even if you can move Heaven and Earth to get the agents and attorneys to do their actual jobs, the judges are always waiting in the wings with their “Get out of jail” cards.

Here again I’ll reiterate that you can’t fix what’s broken with tools that are also broken.

Do we have any confidence at this point that the people at the top of the corruption food chain are going to pay a price? So far, despite the reassurances of the Trump administration, there’s been little cause for optimism. I don’t blame the appointees. I blame the DoJ and the judges.

But the scale of the corruption has finally reached a breaking point. This is a major national crisis. One that, like the corruption scandals in China, affect everything from normal law and order to national defense. Choosing to ignore or cover it up is nothing short of surrendering the nation to people intent on destroying it.

That’s the crisis. That’s the inflection point we’ve reached. There is no third option.

We were already driven to this extreme point by the immigration issue which is its own scandal operating in tandem with the bilking of billions of our dollars to foreign fraudsters. The Democrats were fine never enforcing the laws they passed. So it fell to us, the average citizen, to do the hard work of pushing for that enforcement.

After decades of neglect, the laws are finally being enforced. And for that virtue, we are styled as the bad guys.

We are again being called to do the hard work in response to this scandalous abuse of taxpayer money. That means trials, jail time, and remigration which naturally also entails denaturalization.

It’s not our fault we have to do this. It’s the Democrats’. But there’s no getting around the fact that it must be done because if we don’t, to quote President Trump on immigration, “we don’t have a country anymore.”

I’ve seen a spike in sentiment online after the Nick Shirley videos hoping that President Trump will go much harder and I agree with this attitude in general.

One user on X opined that he hoped Trump actually is the dictator the Democrats make him out to be.

Again, it seems that the only big criticism of President Trump is that he doesn’t go hard enough.

It’s easy to look at Chairman Xi disappearing whole swathes of his own military leadership and feel a tinge of jealousy. As the meme goes, “Jesus, I see what you have done for others, and I want that for me.”

Sure Chairman Xi Jinping has power that an American president could never attain. And it is definitely frustrating to watch bad people, especially bad people with an average IQ under 70, get away with humiliating the taxpayer. In the end, however, Xi can reserve for himself all the power he wants, it won’t save China from the scourge of corruption because there is no agreed upon belief in transcendent morality in China.

Just as there is no such concept for those on the American Left. Thankfully for for our country, we have a whole other party that generally does believe in a universal good and evil as well as a transcendent intellect that both guides us as well as judges us.

So the real hard work that we’re being faced with this year is the fact that in order to fight this corruption, we must remove as many Democrats as possible from any position of power or influence. And, to paraphrase a popular military expression, “the beatings must continue until their metaphysics improve.”

Like all good hunters, we must run the entire party to ground. Spare no politician, no millionaire day care owner, no violent paid protester.

This is defining conflict for this upcoming year 2026 and its outcome will determine if our country thrives or fails.

Unlike China, America has a way out of destruction by corruption because we do have an intellectual and spiritual moral backbone. But there’s only the one way. The good must step up and protect the innocent from the exploitation of the wicked. This is the test being faced by the country. Which means this is a moment that demands a response from me and you.

On the one hand, you have people who are extremely worked up over a protest that lasted approximately four hours where the protesters caused negligible property damage and minuscule harm before retiring for the evening in time for curfew.

On the other hand, you have a political protest that ended up with four protester bodies on slabs in the morgue. Participants were the only casualties that day, yet the survivors of the DC Epiphany Massacre were hunted down across the country.

The Insurrection side points to the “unprecedented” nature of the “attacks” as signs that not only did we deserve what we got, but that we still deserve worse than what we’ve already suffered.

J6ers on the other hand, don’t argue that we were all angels and saints; rather, we merely point out that the reaction itself wasn’t proportional, especially considering the years of Leftist protests preceding that date where arrests were few and the DoJ usually opted to lower charges or drop them altogether. According to the DoJ’s own data, less than 300 protesters faced federal charges due to their participation in the 2020 summer protests in Washington D.C., while 1,575 participants in the January 6th protest were charged in Federal court.

Furthermore, in contrast to the May 2020 Capitol protests over George Floyd where, according to the DoJ, “declare and disperse” orders were frequent, on January 6, commanders failed to issue any clear, audible dispersal orders before they escalated the violence. There was merely a text sent at the behest of Mayor Muriel Bowser, stating that a 6:00 p.m. curfew had been set. A curfew, as I frequently mention, we honored despite being impeded by the bottenecking and kettling.

One side is trying to inject nuance into popular understanding of what went down that day, the other side appeals to the emotions, trying to preserve a raw sense of imminent threat.

One side is finally free to offer personal accounts of what happened at the Capitol and in the courts as well as the prisons. Unedited videos and factual data support is also invoked. Historians consider these types of personal accounts as the gold standard when trying to understand the past.

The other side constantly pushes out carefully edited video evidence and court documents as undeniable proof that their understanding is the official, and therefore accepted, interpretation.

Who’s right? I’ve wasted countless hours on social media doing my best to support the case of J6ers. There are a lot of details that get dredged up and debated. Why weren’t we warned to leave? Did the police initiate the violence? Where are the videos showing that? How many officers were there? What capacity were they operating in? What about the federal law enforcement? What about the buses? What about the staged weapons? Was the bottlenecking and kettling of protesters accidental or tactical? How did Officer Sicknick really die?

And on and on it goes.

Don’t get me wrong. These details are important and worth fleshing out. It’s just that, after roughly a year debating these same details over and over, it’s become abundantly clear to me that my interlocutors aren’t sincere about getting to the bottom of things.

Upon the introduction of our personal accounts offering details that haven’t been shared in media reports or widely documented in court documents, you never sense that they’re dealing with how it challenges their preconceptions. The immediate reaction is to go into damage control mode. Details or corroborating evidence is not sought, they don’t want any misunderstandings cleared up, what they typically do is dismiss the accounts out of hand. The assumption is that we’re lying or that we don’t have evidence of our own to share.

They can’t find the exact wording in a document, or the conversation happened over privileged email between attorneys and therefore it hasn’t been posted to any website yet. That proves the survivor is lying about their ordeal.

When evidence is provided, it’s discounted anyway.

In some cases, the insurrection side works so hard to dredge up counter evidence, they end up providing further evidence of our claims. They split hairs, peering through the narrow and highly curated lens of the government’s videos and documents, they assume they have the only valid perspective and this understanding fuels their sense of self-righteousness and invincible ignorance.

I suppose I should explain who “they” are. In short, they’re that group of internet vigilantes who call themselves the “Sedition Hunters.” This group of accounts on X operate under very strict rules. They typically never discuss current events like the ICE protests or the many documented assaults on federal or local law enforcement. Or the threats, assassinations, or attempted assassinations which are becoming more common on the Left.

Though highly relevant to the discussion of fairness with regards January 6, these topics are completely ignored. The Sedition Hunters are sealed in amber -- for them it is still January 7th, 2021. Biden is still president and the nation’s greatest threat is a group of Conservative protesters who went home by curfew.

There’s no accounting for this degree of topical focus. Even for us J6ers, many have moved on from discussions over the validity of the government’s position. Yet this group of social media advocates, none of whom personally suffered any kind of harm or even inconvenience related to January 6, return to the topic again and again only to reinforce their narrative.

In dealing with them, I’ve discovered that arguing over this or that detail is meaningless. They will not incorporate any new information into their store of knowledge. That’s because the factual details gleaned from our accounts directly and indirectly cut to the core of their answer to the question:

Was it an insurrection or not?

If it wasn’t, then the “fedsurrection” argument is almost proven true by default.

It is ironic that a disproportionate number of us chose to go to bench trial because the DC juries were famously more unhinged than even the judges themselves. In other words, many of us didn’t get the benefit of a fair jury trial.

Until the 2024 election, that is. And here we get into the real answer to the big question. Not the details about who struck whom first or even who died and who didn’t.

In many ways the election of 2024 was a national referendum on the Biden regime’s take of Jan 6. Instead of being subjected to local DC judges or jurors, however, the determination was left up to the widest possible audience: the national American electorate.

Keep in mind that in a fair trial, just one stubborn juror can see the defendant off scot free. In the case of the 2024 election, we weren’t saved by a minority of jurors but by a plurality of voters.

The Sedition Hunter counter argument is that, while Trump campaigned on the promise to pardon us, voters had other reasons to vote for Trump like immigration or the economy.

That’s not a great counter argument. For one, it’s very complimentary towards President Trump and his ability to run the country. For another, it completely ignores how deeply his own reputation as a candidate was tied to the events of that day.

The whole idea of Leftist lawfare was to use the law to bring down Trump. The Jack Smith investigation and the January 6 committee were key aspects of that process. Democrats tied the millstone of Jan. 6 around Trump’s neck with the express intention of torpedoing his integrity and his campaign. And instead of sinking, that millstone propelled him to an unprecedented Republican landslide victory.

If voters felt the Democrat histrionics over his supposed felonies was in any way valid, that tactic wouldn’t have backfired as it obviously did.

So really the national discussion about Jan. 6 being an insurrection was in fact decided by the 2024 election. The Sedition Hunters are arguing the case after the verdict has been read and everyone has gone home.

Yet that’s not the most damning evidence that there was no insurrection that day. It’s the Biden administration itself that proved that point beyond a shadow of a doubt.

There were no charges of 18 USC 2383 insurrection and thus no convictions.

The waters are even more muddied by the 18 USC 1512 charges (interfering in an official proceeding) which the government attempted to charge defendants with but failed because the statute never applied.

This indicates the government had to stretch to make its narrative fit and knowingly misapplied the statute, prioritizing political effect over justice.

Those two facts alone severely undercut the government’s credibility as well as its argument that Jan 6 was an insurrection.

It’s also damning that the government demonstrated no remorse for its failure to effectively prosecute the narrative. When reproved by SCOUTS on the 1512 charge, the Biden DoJ sought other legal measures to inflict maximum pain on defendants as opposed to moderating its stance for the sake of a principled application of the law.

There’s no running from the fact that the government’s own findings conclusively prove there was no insurrection during the unarmed four hour protest. From the very first and all throughout the Biden administration, Merry Garland’s DoJ made it a point to boast about the unprecedented amount of resources being piled into the prosecution of these cases.

Indeed, the response by the Sedition Hunters themselves was touted as a novel development wherein a cadre of “grassroots volunteers” stepped up to assist the government in ways that complimented and amplified its efforts beyond what had been considered previously achievable.

In a 2023 Slate Article titled “How the Sedition Hunters Won“ the group’s augmentation of the FBI investigation was described as “the driving force behind the federal investigation into the Capitol riot.”

It’s odd that Slate and the Sedition Hunters spiked the football and declared victory in 2023 despite the failure to bring a single charge of insurrection for over two years. A minor detail that doesn’t stop Sedition Hunter Ryan Reilly from referring to protesters as engaging in insurrection in that very article.

It’s likely that by 2023 the voters had already concluded the project was a lost cause. What really was unprecedented about Jan 6 was the glaring failure of the DoJ to secure indictments or convictions despite the constant hyperventilating of Biden, the media, and the government over a supposed national existential threat. Even with astronomical increases in resources and a highly publicized online pogrom of G-men wannabes on social media, the tyrants lost.

Our interlocutors among the Sedition Hunters resolutely refuse to acknowledge a reality that is the very fruit born of their labors. They insist on advocating for a position they actively worked to discredit, albeit unintentionally. Yet they still try to back up their perspective by continuing to proffer the same government evidence. It’s too late for that. The chances that they can bend hearts and minds back to their emotionally-driven arguments grow dimmer by the day.

Which is why I suspect that, even among the Left, the idea that January 6 was an insurrection was never actually believed so much as promoted because it was understood as a politically useful cudgel. You have to ask yourself: of all those who, especially on the Left, expressed agreement with the government’s characterization of Jan. 6, how many actually believed that it was an insurrection?

Nancy Pelosi’s own daughter Alexandra Pelosi was caught on camera admitting the reaction to January 6 was overblown:

“If there was an insurrection… you were supposed to have a plan!”

“You’re going to be able to laugh about this one day”

The real tell that Leftists never believed in the threat of insurrection is their absolute indifference to protests against law enforcement and brazen ploys to upend American civil order today. A transparent lack of principle does a lot to invalidate a position -- especially when that position is predicated solely on fostering and maintaining an extreme emotional state of existential terror in an uninterested and deeply skeptical public. Even rank-and-file Democrat voters seem embarrassed by their party’s performative antics.

As we round this first year back from prison, many of us J6ers are still struggling in our daily lives. You never know when you’re going to run across yet another unhinged Leftist menticided by lies and be forced into a drawn-out defense on the particulars.

Whether the Sedition Hunters will acknowledge it or not, the discussion was over before any of us walked out of prison. The evidence backs up our more nuanced take. And the national sentiment has long rounded the corner from Leftist hysterics.

While the Sedition Hunters were proudly doing their end zone dance in 2023, it’s my personal pleasure to inform them it was in fact our side who definitively won the day. And that’s in large part thanks to them.

That’s a lot of dead and potential death within the span of a few short sentences and all at this one time of year. After a summer of violent ICE protests and Tesla dealership attacks, it seems that ideologically-motivated violence has also developed a kind of seasonal variance. It’s mass disruption and agitating for color revolution in the streets in the warmer months while in the cooler months it’s about blood and guns.

But looking at the Bondi Beach attack in the southern hemisphere where it’s now summer, it’s safe to say weather isn’t as much of a factor as the season of celebration.

December is a time of Hanukkah and Christmas, two big religious holidays for two of the more philosophically important faiths that have served as the foundation of Western civilization.

But who in their right mind wants to take a time of togetherness, prayer, and celebration and turn it into a season of terror? A season where we’re increasingly conditioned to look over our shoulder, consider security measures, and cast wary glances at anyone who’s acting suspicious.

Who would do this? Who is motivated to stoke fear instead of the hearth, raise alarms instead of cheers, instill suspicion instead of brotherhood?

The Turtle Island group is fairly emblematic of the people involved. According to our Department of Justice, they’re “a far-left, pro-Palestine, anti-government, and anti-capitalist group.” But according to Andy Ngo, the perps strongly resemble what he calls “trantifa“ terrorists.

They may be pro-Palestinian, but something tells me they wouldn’t last long in a strictly Muslim majority country.

But logic be damned. The red-green alliance isn’t about thinking things through to the point of avoiding self-annihilation. It seems to be a marriage of convenience. An alliance to swarm what both sides perceive as their greatest threat.

And what is that threat? Happiness? Presents? Christmas carols?

Well, yeah. They want to destroy all of that. You see, both the red and the green have a vested interest in using terror to turn us away from our traditions and customs -- especially those that help keep us connected to God. The goal is to sour us on even thinking about celebrating so that we give up on our faith and our communities and allow the red and the green to fill that void.

It’s darkly ironic that the two colors referenced here, red for the Communist Left and green for the Islamist supremacists, are also the colors of Christmas.

The very act of striking out at our holidays reveals so much about the psychology of the people doing the striking. They’re shiftless loners who’ve allowed their extremism to isolate them from humanity. To the point that, not only are they willing to murder random strangers be they elderly or children or whatever, but they want their violence to be associated with this time in particular. The idea is they want to make every year a moment when our thoughts turn from preparation and celebration, to tragic memories of bombings, shootings, or vehicle rammings.

While we want to celebrate, we can’t help but start asking questions like, “Is this really worth it?”

We can already see that these doubts have led to the cancellation of celebrations abroad. This year, Christmas markets in Germany and the New Year’s Eve celebration in Paris have been canceled over security concerns.

These developments should be scandalous. To paraphrase the Texan expression: Don’t mess with Christmas.

Yet this year has seen the mask come off for our fellow Americans on the Left side of the political spectrum. They’ve already proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they want to upend civil order through a color revolution. Long before that, they’ve made it abundantly clear that murdering babies is an inviolate plank in their political platform. It should come as no surprise then, that they endorse our murder.

In a post on X, Sundance pointed out:

December 4, 2024: UnitedHealth Care CEO Brian Thompson is assassinated. The killer avoids capture for several days. Leftists celebrate the accused killer as a hero.

September 10, 2025: Charlie Kirk is assassinated. The killer avoids capture for several days. Leftists celebrate the accused killer as a hero.

December 13, 2025: Ella Cook is killed during a mass shooting which appears to be a political assassination. The killer has thus far avoided capture for several days.

In just a year’s time, the political left has not only normalized political assassination in the United States, they have created an atmosphere where it is just not tolerated but celebrated and encouraged.

If that seems like a stretch, may I remind you Virginia voters just elected Jay Jones Attorney General.

The list is incomplete. As Andy Ngo points out, the Left went so far as to try to run cover for the Salt Lake City No Kings protest shooter as well.

A lawyer for the family of the Salt Lake City “No Kings” protest bystander shot dead by the event’s leftist volunteer “peacekeeper” security says that organizers like Utah 5150 and Armed Queers SLC have intentionally obfuscated who was involved.

They’re not cooperating in the investigation and have given their members aliases. One of the security people, Matthew Alder, has been charged with second-degree manslaughter, but the organizers appear to be shielding others.

Institutional support makes the stance official: the Left wants you dead. And they’re not going to let a little thing like Christmas stand between their murderous rage and you.

Given this circumstance, we’d be forgiven for toning down our celebrations. Right? We could, like the Germans and the French, run the scenario through an anodyne risk-reward matrix and come to the logical conclusion that we don’t shouldn’t needlessly sacrifice lives for a little Christmas levity.

Is that what the Nigerian Christians are doing, though? Right now, they’re preparing to celebrate the birth of Jesus despite the fact that there’s evidence that Muslims are seeking to mount an attack on the day of Christmas. Judd Saul of Equipping the Persecuted said:

We got very reliable information that they are weaponising for a Christmas Day massacre. I am imploring the Nigerian government and President Donald Trump to do something so we don’t have a bunch of dead Christians in Nigeria.

If you think the Nigerian Christians are backing down, you’re wrong. That’s because this isn’t new for the Nigerians. Josiah Abraks of the Southern Kaduna Peoples’ Union pointed out: “[S]outhern parts of Kaduna have always been attacked during the Yuletide. Bandits attack communities in the area on Christmas Day,”

Yet the Nigerian Christians always celebrate Christmas despite the routine and expected attacks.

Why?

Part of it is tactical. It pains me to inform our “allies” in Germany and France this but retreat and surrender are forms of defeat. When you make the completely rational decision not to celebrate in order to save lives, you’re telling the world that terrorism is the one thing that will get you to give up everything you love and hold dear.

More importantly, such weakness in the face of adversity demonstrates that you are faithless. You prize your comfort more than your relationship with God. So much so that, in the name of preserving that comfort, you’ll even abstain from doing something fun like celebrating.

We’re Christians. Celebrating is not optional. It’s a package deal: we keep the fasts and the feasts. Each has their purpose in drawing us closer to God. For Christians these feasts are serious business.

In his piece in support of Charles Dickens’ defense of Christmas, GK Chesterton points out the important and sacramental nature Christmas, writing: “In fighting for Christmas [Dickens] was fighting for the old European festival, Pagan and Christian, for that trinity of eating, drinking and praying which to moderns appears irreverent, for the holy day which is really a holiday.”

Elsewhere Chesterton points out that we only have holidays for ourselves because we set aside holy days for God. That by reverencing the Divine, we reinvigorate our minds and souls. It’s yet another proof of the existence of God -- by worshiping Him we become supernaturally united in the celebration of the life He gives us.

Christianity is indeed at its heart a celebration of life. We believe in the Resurrection and in eternal life. Our God conquered Death itself and the fact that He lives, even now and despite His wounds, is an act of defiance in the face of grim mortality.

To be Christian is to see death properly: as a mere portal through which we must pass to be united with a perfectly loving God for all eternity. To be Christian is to laugh in the face of death.

But as history shows; from the Romans, to the Vikings, to the Muslims and beyond; this victory comes not without its own challenges. Countless tyrants and bloodthirsty maniacs (today we call them “Democrats”) have tested this resolve, taunting us all along.

We were burned alive as living candles, our tongues ripped from our throats, hanged and shot full of arrows, disemboweled, nailed, blinded, flayed, beheaded...

Like the fasts and the feasts, it’s something of a package deal. We get eternal life, but we also accept the cross.

We Christians after all worship the executed God. The God who was arrested and jailed by mortal men. The Christians in Nigeria show us the way they learned from Christ Himself. He didn’t just say some nice things and get on a train to the next life. He was scourged, beaten, nailed, and left to die. Slowly.

The lives of the saints are similarly fraught with hardship and challenges. Even Saint Nicholas, Santa Claus himself, was exiled and imprisoned by the Emperor Diocletian.

It’s hard to think of a saint who didn’t also experience a similar form of hardship like imprisonment, exile, or execution. Outside of the Church, it’s pretty clear that such hardships are common among those who wish to do good. Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Martin Luther King, and Gandhi all experienced life behind bars.

And not to brag, but so did I.

It’s clear that, despite Christianity’s bold claim of a brotherhood of man and the promise of eternal life, it’s still not a faith for the faint of heart. You need a certain kind of boldness to live out the gospel, especially in today’s world.

Ours is the Faith founded by God Himself. It therefore contains within its DNA the fullness of the human experience from the terrifying and heroic to the loving and exuberant. Sure, we have our fair share of martyrs, but the Church also invented beers, herbal tonics, wines, champagne, and (thanks to the Irish monks) a little thing called “aqua vitae” more commonly known as “whiskey.”

True Christians don’t celebrate because we love ourselves but because we love God. We thank Him for our hardships and praise Him for our bounty. But the bottom line is we celebrate the life He gave us.

This was a lesson that we demonstrated in prison in DC. Though separated from our families and stuck inside a cold and inhospitable world, we gathered our junk food on Christmas day and gave ourselves a feast worthy of the martyrs. We performed skits, and sang carols to the world through the phone. We made a Christmas tree out of fabric and decorated it with a garland of American flag postcards sent by supporters and little balls of colored fuzz instead of lights. Though we were in one of the worst places in the world, I ironically longed to show my wife how much fun we were having.

We did it because we wanted to show the world that, unlike Germany and France, we were not defeated. But also because we love Jesus and wanted to celebrate His incarnation. Keep in mind this wasn’t the Christmas after the 2024 election. In 2023, we still had no idea what the next year would bring (which turned out to be a little bit of everything.) But the act of celebrating galvanized our resolve. Many of us were facing years to whole decades being locked up and had no hope of mercy.

There’s a lot more to Christmas than just presents and lights and relaxing with family. We understood that in DC DOC and the Nigerians understand that now. The whole world needs to remember why we celebrate this time and that the alchemy of true Christmas magic can be found in the life of Christ: part suffering and part joy.

With an emphasis on joy. Because after all, the battle over death has been won and that’s both the source and the aim of what makes us happy as Christians.

I have a feeling that these attacks are going to get worse before things get better. Despite our history with the Left and Islam, this feels more like a beginning than an ending. So let’s promise each other and to God: that we’ll take seriously our obligation to party hard in His name and that no matter how scary or difficult things get we never waver in our constant victory parade.

The people of Europe are being pragmatic now. Giving up when they should be holding fast. All out of fear. We’ll do the opposite. If attacked as we sing, we sing louder next year. If our Christmas trees are blown up, next year they’ll be taller.

Europeans quail in response to the question “Is this really worth the danger?” And when the same question inevitably crosses our minds, we’ll raise our voices, and our glasses as we reply:

My first letter since surrendering myself to prison in late July. Some background is necessary. While awaiting sentencing, I was to be held in the DC Department of Corrections (DC DOC) in Washington, DC. Having surrendered myself near my home in north Texas, I was shunted into Fannin County lockup where I stayed about four or five days.

Once surrendered, the process of moving me from point A to point B is up to the US Marshals (basically the transportation service for federal inmates). This process is typically long and convoluted. You don’t go direct from starting point to destination. It’s up the feds when you get moved and to where. Grady County in Oklahoma was just an intermediary stop between Fannin County and DC DOC. Each prison presents its own living arrangements. In Grady, there were about 40 of us in one giant room with triple bunk beds along the sides. There were two toilets and three showers, all out in the open. This is where I was writing from. I had no idea how long I would be there.

Also, I have correct spelling errors but not errors in grammar or misused words. Prison is a world of constant noise, no sleep, and no good place to devote to writing. And no dictionaries. At least thus far. There are going to be parts that don’t make sense. That may explain why the letter begins with part II. Or that might be because part I was destroyed by the guards.

Speaking of which, all my letters are written to my wife. At the same time, I knew they were being scanned by prison personnel, so I included them in my reader audience though I never addressed them directly. You can tell throughout however that I’m talking to my wife knowing full well that we had a third party audience.

2 August 2023 pt II

I have borrowed a Bible from a fellow who goes by Rico -- a very intelligent younger man takes a leadership role in the pod he takes a very belligerent attitude with the guards and keeps them honest. But, like everything in Grady, this has to be the most filthy Bible I have ever seen. Yet I am grateful for it.

What a wonderful thin it is to know that, no matter where I go, if I find a Bible, the words in it are more or less the same -- even it it’s written in another language!

One of the most startling discoveries on this journey has been the realization that inmates are, by and large, docile, friendly, righteous people. I find so little difference between these people and everyone else, that I half-suspect the rumors that the system brutalizes certain populations out of prejudicial spite and not justice -- to be true.

There are a number of points that people like to look at. One is that presidential elections tend to have a stronger draw for those who are normally low propensity voters. The argument goes that minority voters who’ve flocked to Trump along with working class voters have not been turning out to the same extent they did in 2024. This “erosion” of support is a portent of doom, according to some anonymous consultants quoted in mainstream media.

In the aftermath of the early November races, The New York Times wrote:

“One place that illustrates the reasons for Republican concern is Passaic County, N.J., which is the most Hispanic county in the state. Trump won the county by three percentage points in 2024; last night, the Democrat Mikie Sherrill won it by 15 points.

That drop-off in support is an ominous sign for Republicans who are hoping to turn Trump’s voters into permanent members of their coalition.”

The secret to Trump’s success in 2024, then, is specifically Trump himself according to none other than Ron DeSantis.

“I think Republicans have an issue that Donald Trump has created a big pool of voters, but some of them are unique to him, right? ... So they’ll go vote for Trump, and they’ll vote for all Republicans when Trump is on the ballot. But if he’s not on the ballot, some of them don’t vote.”

This, coupled with the “President’s Penalty” wherein the party in power is usually checked in the midterms by stronger support for the party out of power, could spell a one-two punch for the GOP in 2026.

But if you’ll pardon my critique of these analyses, I don’t think they really answer the question “Why?” for the GOP in particular and at this moment in time.

I get the concept of the President’s Penalty, that’s a part of the organic ebb and flow of power in a Democracy in normal times. But these are not normal times and I believe that even the supposed “low information” voters have a sense that something epochal is going down right now.

But if that’s the case, then why the drop-off? Well, the answer would have to fall to the Trump factor.

However, people not turning out because Trump’s name isn’t on the ballot is not a cause either. It’s an effect. A rather puerile attempt at deflecting blame from those who paid the analysts’ salaries: the politicians.

“Why did we lose?”

“Well people didn’t turn out to vote.”

“Brilliant. Here’s $600,000.”

Many people believe that there’s something about Trump the man that’s especially inspiring and that’s how he turns out voters. They aren’t wrong. The problem is stopping at that point.

Though it feels like magic, it isn’t. The qualities of Trump aren’t exactly lightning in a bottle. They’re open to examination and definition and, because of that, they can be replicated.

I posit that they should be replicated on a grand scale.

What is it about Trump the man that makes him so different and inspiring compared to our average politician? Let’s take a look:

1) Authenticity

Trump is who he presents himself as. Smart, refined, caring and yet at the same time brash and unwilling to pretend that what our politicians like to think of as normal is in fact actually normal.

An appreciation for authenticity is written into the cultural DNA of Americans. We’ve never had an aristocracy and we’re prouder for that fact. Authenticity is honesty in action -- the exact opposite of the typical politician who promises one thing and then fails to deliver.

We have an innate sense of the authentic and are drawn to it. Whereas Europeans want to coalesce around authority, Americans look for the authentic. You can see it in our pop culture. Rag time music was replaced by jazz which was then replaced by rock, which was replaced by grunge and rap. Pop writing and film went from regency dramas, to travelogues, to noir, to westerns. Each successive iteration is grittier and more “real” than the one that came before it. Each is a reaction to an industry that relies on the formulaic -- a habit that turns off the consumer priming them for whatever breaks through as the next big thing.

It explains why today’s youth gravitate towards Asian pop culture. Our own “artists” can’t help but produce sermonizing Leftist screeds that obsess over pronouns more than character itself. There’s a sense that the Asian creator isn’t bound by that insanity and, in being freer, develop a more authentic personal relationship with their fans.

2) Energy

In terms of writing, Trump obeys the novelist’s rule that it’s always better to show than to tell. He doesn’t pontificate and plan as much as he manifests. Which we see as his endless frenetic pace. It’s rumored he doesn’t sleep. Good. Who can sleep seeing what’s going on in the country and the world these days?

Too many politicians are like me: analytical and ideological. They pride themselves on their intellect and never miss an opportunity to demonstrate it. But talk isn’t just cheap, it’s become meaningless in the minds of the average voter.

Movement is king.

More than planning, implementation. More than posturing, action.

This isn’t just a matter of personal style. Every politician who wants to capture the admiration of the voter should find their energy and turn it to eleven. It won’t look the same way for everyone, but that doesn’t mean that we should toss this important qualification aside. So many of the Democrats get this and have mastered the art of appearing to have energy. They scream, swear, and protest all in the name of looking like they are doing something.

It is through his energy that Trump communicates his authenticity. The health and well-being of the nation and we the people are important to him. He doesn’t have to tell us that. He shows us. Everyday.

3) Moral Imperative

The secret behind that energy is the fact that Trump has the moral imperative. He’s the reformer of the thing that desperately needs to be reformed.

We don’t like the graft and the corruption and the systems set up to destroy the country from within. He doesn’t like it either. He’s not just on a mission, he’s on our mission.

That’s democracy 101. The people voted him into office in order to set to right real concerns. It’s clear that he shares these same concerns and is as horrified by what’s going on as the rest of us.

While his backstory may not be the most pristine in the conventional sense of your average Conservative Christian politician, there is no doubting that his heart is in the right place when it comes to wresting power from the grimy mitts of the administrative state and putting it back in the hands of the people.

Here then is the magic combination that must become the new criteria by which we choose our future representatives and senators. These are qualities that “trump” the old and busted qualities we used to look for in our politicians: experience (ahem “age”), good at public speaking, and a high degree of establishment education which is almost universally a degree in law.

Those traits made sense in the olden times. But just like pop culture that’s gotten formulaic and stale, they’ve completely lost their value, and hence their appeal as well. In the 21st century, voters don’t look for these. It’s obvious when you see the rise of Democrats like AOC, Mamdani, and John Fetterman that what they really want is authenticity, energy, and moral imperative.

It’s not the absence of Trump on the ballot that keeps Trump voters home. It’s the absence of these three important traits. If a candidate doesn’t have these three qualities, then the voter doesn’t see a reason to vote.

And it’s not up for argument. It’s increasingly clear that voters in almost every age demographic have soured on the slick aged attorney model of politician for a very good reason. The worst characters at the top of the worst scandals in the nation’s history: Comey, Biden, Obama, the Clintons, Milley, even Fauci -- all are in their own way avatars of this model. The slick aged attorney has become so closely associated with greed and corruption, that it instinctively raises red flags in the minds of voters.

Authenticity, energy, and moral imperative are three qualities that each feed into the other. Like our God and our government, they are triune. They are worth emulating because, more than a college degree or a stint as partner at a private law firm, they communicate the sincerity and the goodness of the politician.

Grit, verve, and heart.

Call it whatever you want, it’s what the voter is looking for.

Because our nation is messed up beyond all reckoning and the voter needs tools actually suited to the job to fix it.

I’d like to put my thesis to the test. Here, I’m going to show you what these traits would like on a party-wide scale. You tell me if what I’m describing would get you and your “low-information” or “low-propensity” voter friends to the polls in 2026.

My theory isn’t that those voters are unplugged or dumb. It’s that they’ve made the determination that voting for someone who isn’t a change agent is the same as not voting at all. So I’m going to design a party platform and plan that would smash that perception from coast to coast and bring red voters to the polls in numbers equal to or greater than those in 2024. All without Trump on the ballot.

What I’m about to detail here isn’t drawn up with any concern about practicality or feasibility. Consider it instead the new guiding star to which Republicans must orient themselves and strive to attain almost as if they’re platonic ideals.

Brace yourselves, because this is about to get extreme.

1) Stop Pretending

As Sundance has repeatedly stated, our politicians know the government is a completely evil clusterfark of a mess. But they act like it isn’t.

So my first and greatest suggestion is that we drop the act.

Every citizen in our great nation knows the following:

• The Deep State performed a soft coup in 2016

• Then the Deep State performed a less-than-soft coup in 2020

• Now the Deep State is openly agitating for color revolution

In each of these scenarios, the rights of every single American was violated. And in these scenarios even the personal rights of our congressmen themselves were violated. It’s all illegal, from stem to stern, and we can’t even censure a Democrat politician like NJ Representative LaMonica McIver for knowingly playing a role in fomenting unrest by illegally attacking law officers who were only trying to enforce the laws people like her were elected to draft.

Like McIver, none of the other coup participants have faced any real consequences and, as a result, trying to kick off the violent overthrow of the government has practically become a sport on the Left.

While the Seditious Six are a recent example, they won’t be the last.

Question: Setting aside the fact that these people should be in jail, why haven’t they even been censured in congress? This is something our representatives have within their power to do. But when the time comes, it’s not just the Democrats but also the GOP that comes to the rescue of these lying illegitimate and violent revolutionaries.

The party pretends that what’s happening isn’t what we see. The fact they aren’t scandalized the way the rest of are even when they themselves are the victims, only adds to the outrage.

But it doesn’t end there.

DOGE showed massive corruption and congress failed to codify any measures to prevent the same thing from happening in the future.

They’re pretending. It wasn’t that big of a deal.

That should stop. Not in November or October, but today. Start making consequences for treason real. That’s what it means to Stop Pretending.

2) Judicial Overhaul

At the heart of both Deep State coups and the current color revolution is Judge Boasberg. The man has been a key player in every aspect of the bureaucratic overthrow of American democracy. These days, his behavior is emblematic of federal judges in general. He’s a crony. A thug in a black robe.

SCOTUS told him he was wrong. He ignored them. Congress summoned him to testify. He ignored them. He’s merely one of hundreds of rogue judges who assume for themselves the power to refuse to enforce laws on the books, or the power to control the military, or the power to invent rights for non-citizens while depriving actual citizens of their constitutional rights.

The GOP must universally condemn these actions and implement a complete clearing of the DC federal bench along with new measures to hold judges accountable when they do things like facilitate illegal spying on the highest executive in the land in a blindly partisan witch hunt. For example.

People complain about the lack of action from the DOJ on prosecuting these criminals and clearing up the story of the J6 pipe bomber, but if every judge in DC is co-opted and compromised, it doesn’t matter if Bondi sends out a thousand indictments yesterday, every single one of them will be dismissed with a chuckle and it’ll be a slap in the face to every American who understands that government is supposed to abide by its own laws or else politics is nothing but a national humiliation ritual.

Fix the judges. That should priority number one for fixing the DC machine. Everything else is wasted breath. Pretenders act like this is just the way things are. But no clause in the Constitution gives judges the ability to unilaterally overthrow the executive.

3) Inquisition Now!

The other obstacle to justice are the cops themselves. Namely the DC FBI and DoJ lackeys. These are dogs that are determined not to hunt. Spare us the virtuous “rank and file” drivel. These are the same guys who mobilized by the thousands to hunt down Americans for the crime of protesting a stolen election. Protesters were murdered. Others would go on to commit suicide. Jobs were lost, careers destroyed, homes sold, families broken. The “rank and file” never batted an eye. There were only a handful who protested and turned whistleblower. The rest we can comfortably assume were more concerned with the cost of organic kale at Whole Foods than they were about our civil rights.

They don’t deserve to be fired. They deserve to be jailed. But I think at the very least they have to face the former if American law and order can ever be restored to some semblance of legitimacy.

Not only was the DoJ caught with its pants down with the sudden arrest of a pipe “bomber” they’ve known about since 2021, the person running the prosecution was a key player in the first and second coups: Jocelyn Ballantine.

“Jocelyn Ballantine was one of the Department of Justice attorneys assigned to Michael Flynn’s prosecution. The Department admitted altering evidence in the case following a reprimand from the judge. She called this an inadvertent mistake at the time.

Ballantine also provided altered documents to Sidney Powell, and submitted an FBI interview report with redactions to information that was crucial to the case, according to En-Wikipedia. When the US government threw out the case against General Flynn, Ballantine declined to sign the motion to dismiss the charges against him.

She is as crooked as they come.

Jocelyn Ballantine was later assigned to the infamous Proud Boys Trial.

Ballantine and the Biden prosecutors made up evidence, pressured the defendants to lie to the court, planted evidence in the Proud Boys chat group, and led the charge to send the innocent men to prison for over a decade each.

Ballantine is scum.”

What is this person doing still roaming the halls of DC Justice? Not only that, but she’s managed to insert herself as the lead prosecutor in the J6 pipe “bomber” case? That she remains at all displays either a stunningly childlike naivete on the part of Pan Bondi, or a desire to enter into the anti-American conspiracy with these administrative color revolutionaries.

Congress can act. Here’s an idea: Propose an Inquisition. Not the historical Inquisition, but an Inquisition more akin to the kind found in the grimdark scifi of Warhammer. In that world, the Inquisition are elite investigators granted enormous authority and extraordinary powers.

What I propose is the establishment of an investigative team composed of outsiders and virtuous insiders. People with experience taking on large criminal networks like the mafia or trafficking rings. Spare no expense. Give them access to every tool and any experts. Give them the authority to flip insiders. Send seasoned spies into the ranks of the comfy DC elite. Give them the authority to fire unilaterally. Arrest anyone, even judges. Unfetter their ability to interrogate. These are traitors we’re dealing with after all. Monitor all government communications. Cloaks. Daggers. Bugs. Honeypots.

Do to them what they so brazenly did to Trump and his inner circle. Turn their every tool against them and in the process, turn the screws as well.

We tried the Inspector General. IGs have been revealed to be part of the scam. They’re coverup artists with a badge.

It’s not time for another special counsel or IG. We don’t even need an IG with teeth. We need an IG with fangs. Fangs and a purview over the entire DoJ including the FBI. And the Pentagon, the CIA, the State Department, and the Inspector Generals themselves. These are the same organizations that think they got away with usurping the government at least twice before. We the citizens of America don’t care about their precious little rights because they never cared about our fundamental right to self rule. Treat them like the disease to democracy they are. They are agents of hostile foreign powers. They should spend their remaining days cowering in utter shame for their manifest crimes.

That’s what justice looks like.

Go hard against the government and the smug rabble that until now have reserved for themselves the power to veto the will of Americans. This is what it means to Stop Pretending.

Up to now, we’ve allowed ourselves to accept as fate this idiotic idea that once Trump disappears from the scene, the party will go back to being what it was. The midterm will be the first test of that theory. Normally, I’d expect Conservatives to just give up. But that’s what failure look like. What does success look like?

It looks like what I’ve just outlined. A party that’s learned how to fight. A party that places a premium on Authenticity, Energy, and Moral Imperative. Grit, verve, heart. The new holy trinity of American politics. We want a party that’s serious about results and implementation and not endless debates and sternly-worded letters and congressional investigations that go nowhere.

Trump’s success isn’t a superpower. It’s a formula. Up to now, we’ve been content to pin all our hopes on that one man. It makes for an epic tale, to be sure. But we’re Americans, not Europeans. When we need a hero, we become the hero. Applying this three-part formula, and then using it to zero in on the problem with the express intention of solving it is something we all can do.

No one said that our hero has to stand alone. It’s time for the party to demonstrate what they’ve learned and do what the voters want them to do: become heroes in their own right.

I used to tell my fellow inmates in DC DOC that we were the chickens of the Biden regime. The government was using our suffering to scare people into abandoning Trump and the MAGA civil rights movement.

Those appeals to tyranny, violence, and fear appear to have backfired. Recall that throughout the 2024 election, the Harris campaign endlessly intoned about the supposed dark age that would befall America should Harris not become the rightful guardian of our open borders and baby killing factories.

It didn’t work.

Just like it failed in Britain in 2016 when the country voted to leave the European Union.

The goal of scaring British citizens into voting “remain” was a deliberate PR campaign based on fear. So much so, in fact, that it was christened “Project Fear” by the Leave side. The impression was so strong that “Project Fear” is how the campaign is referenced to this day, even in election scholarship.

The Remain side took umbrage at the characterization and criticized the term as overly cynical. But even before the vote, some Leftists actually leaned into it, arguing that invoking fear in this scenario is the right thing to do. In an article titled “In Praise of Project Fear“ in Prospect Magazine, writer Anatole Kaletsky describes the goal of Project Fear in the kind of annoying parental language that Leftists normally reserve for their internal monologues:

“Boris Johnson describes it as ‘Project Fear,’ but there is another name for the strongest argument for Britain to stay in the European Union. A parent telling a child not to play with matches or a friend who prevents a drunken companion from getting into the driver’s seat calls this common sense. Politicians who describe the economic risks of Brexit are castigated for trying to ‘frighten the voters’ and advised by media commentators to present a positive, idealistic story.

But when we try to stop a drunk from driving or a child setting fire to the curtains, we do not appeal to their idealism or remind them of the joys of life. We warn of the terrible consequences that could result from reckless actions and in doing this, our burden of proof is very low. We don’t need to prove that the house will burn down or an innocent pedestrian will be run over. It is enough to say that drunk driving makes a calamity more likely and is therefore banned.”

Kaletsky makes the point that, because it’s Leave that’s arguing for British citizens to take on the risks associated with cutting ties with the European Union, they’re the ones who have to provide data to support their claims.

“If anything, the burden of proof between facts and forecasts should be reversed. The Brexit camp are the ones now advocating risky and unpredictable changes. It is therefore incumbent on them to explain exactly how Britain would benefit from Brexit and why their predictions about sovereignty should be believed. Supporters of the status quo, by contrast, have no need to predict the future because they rely on established facts.”

Kaletsky knows this is an impossible task. One cannot prove from data what has not yet happened. The fact of the matter is, Project Fear itself also made unfounded assumptions about Brexit -- forecasting what they could not substantiate.

It was true that voters were being asked to take a risk, but it was Remain that failed to adequately support their arguments.

Yet that wasn’t the last time fear was used as a motivator. The Covid scare of 2020 was one of the greatest examples of governments weaponizing fear, on a global scale no less, to get whole populations to willingly comply with their draconian lockdowns, magical masks, invisible 6-foot virus-proof bubbles, and vaccine passports.

Whether people want to openly acknowledge it or not, I suspect the lingering impression in the aftermath of those years is that we caved too easily in the name of fear. In a way, Covid inoculated minds on a massive scale to fear-mongering as a manipulation tactic.

But you can’t blame the Left for constantly resorting to fear. It’s an effective tactic that bypasses rational checks and immediately puts people in an emotional “fight or flight” mode.

At the same time, I think there’s an acknowledgment that it’s lost a good deal of its efficacy. What I’m noticing now is that the Left is conducting a campaign organized around a different emotion: demoralization.

It’s a logical countermove. In the aftermath of 2024, and in light of the intervening months where the Democrat party has boldly staked its claim on the losing side of every 80-20 issue, it’s clear that what the Left most lacks is enthusiasm.

They’ve been beaten and then subsequently allowed themselves to be humiliated on a grand scale. We’re talking about the leadership of a party that still believes they can revive the trans fad. The party that mocked the live murder of a good man. The party that spares no expense or effort in protecting illegal aliens but then gladly burns their SNAP beneficiaries for weeks just to try to get street cred for an off-year election and ultimately with no concessions on the budget negotiations to show for it.

If anyone has a morale problem, it’s definitely the Left.

So it makes sense that they try to replicate this on the Right. That’s been the implicit goal of the major PR pushes by the Democrat party for the better part of this year. Dems jumped on the Epstein files suddenly this year when it was completely irrelevant during prior years.

There’s also been an effort to transmit a good deal of their anti-Israel sentiment over to the right. The preferred vehicle for this have been pundits who suddenly claim to be right wing but have never actually embraced or espoused Conservativism. They do things like praise Socialist or Communist dictators and preach racist ideas like some sort of Leftist caricature of a Conservative.

A lot of these talking points have successfully bled into the work by more mainstream commentators on the Right. People who I’ve taken to task before this year but also include that “Right wing” faction of “America First” which defines itself by an irrational belief that America shouldn’t have even positive relations with other countries.

Many of these people took the panican route when it came to the successful scuttling of the Iranian nuke program, claiming that such move was inexplicable when the rationale was stark and self-evident and could even be explained as simply as saying: “Iranian nukes bad.”

The strikes ended in success and it became clear that it was Trump who had Netanyahu on a short leash and not vice versa. Yet not a single one of these commentators issued a correction or mea culpa.

As a result of the moral cowardice of these commentators, there remains to this day a sense among many on the Right that Trump is somehow compromised or controlled.

Such narratives serve the manipulation goals of the Left which wants to tarnish the reputation of Trump by making him seem more like a typical compromised politician merely engaging in “pay to play” politics to pad his own bottom line. This despite the fact that he’s the same man who had his mugshot taken and was struck in the ear by a bullet -- two events that would’ve frightened off your average GOP phony.

Speaking as someone who also has a mugshot on file because of the tactics employed by dedicated Leftists, it’s going to take a lot more than a few momentary impressions formed by an incomplete understanding of a given situation to cause me to question the authenticity of Donald Trump the man and president.

He remains our last best chance to rescue the Republic from the hands of evil men.

I wish these Right wing pundits had a better sense of the degree to which they’re being manipulated. Manipulated not just by Leftists, but by an influence industry which we now know spans the globe.

My instinct is that 2025 was merely a test case and that efforts will ramp up to insane levels next year. At the same time, I suspect that this increase in intensity will also be carefully managed not to appear overboard as was the case with the Harris campaign, and Project Fear.

Demoralization is itself a more subtle emotion than fear. For one, it’s not a primal emotion and instead of overhyping a single threat, it’s easier to demoralize when people are overloaded by an endless onslaught of examples or “well-intentioned” questions. The goal of this technique is to form a dark cloud in the conscious mind that imposes an overwhelming impression. Because the points come rapid fire, it becomes nearly impossible to address them all and the person is left believing that at least one of them may be true. And before you know it, you’re convinced that there’s no real path forward and that no matter who you vote for, it couldn’t possibly matter.

“What’s the use?” is a feeling that more readily resonates with the young or emotionally immature. Once they reach that point of despair, it takes something very powerful to pull them out of it. This time, there’s no guarantee that Democrats will be foolish enough to attempt another assassination or high profile murder that will galvanize the base. (There’s no guarantee they won’t do something like this, either.)

Yes, Donald Trump is probably the best self-evident case that who you vote for does in fact matter, but the 21st century man lacks a certain stoutness of heart and resolution of will. A few charts showing poor jobs numbers, or slight increases in food prices, or another international “event” that piques the imaginations of the influencers with a massive Egyptian bot following is pretty much all it takes to make Republican enthusiasm ebb.

Social media is full of gloom and doom campaigning on the Right -- plenty of prognosticators are making the claim that between 2026 being an off-year election and Donald Trump himself not being on the ballot that Republicans will take a beating in the upcoming election.

It’s the type of pedestrian analysis no one needs to pay extra for. These ideas are so thick in the very air we breathe. Especially around our the MSM news studios. Which tells you that these prognosticators aren’t thinking. They’re repeating.

Instead of proclaiming defeat before the battle even happens, I heartily suggest that people take a step back and rationally consider the situation from an elevated perspective. Trump remains our last best hope. The cards remain stacked against him even now, though he has surrounded himself with a much better staff than in his previous administration which was fraught with backstabbers. Losing congress would be devastating not just to his presidency, but ultimately possibly even his person as well as our country.

Not voting because of a bad case of the blues in 2026 would be the most regrettable position any American could take.

But you could almost be forgiven in getting caught up in that narrative. The people who are doing this are pros. They have a deep understanding of psychology, advertising, and propaganda.

They’re the people who figured out the little red dot next to your app means you’ll open it before you know what you’re doing. The same people who’ve convinced hundreds of otherwise loving parents to have their children gelded so they won’t commit suicide. The same ones who orchestrate whole societies into overthrowing their governments so a CIA puppet can be installed.

Sophisticated. Intelligent. Manipulative. The best minds in the world that are for sale will be roped into this effort. They’ve achieved remarkable success so far, turning politicians and pundits alike. The kind of people that you’ve trusted, that I’ve trusted, for years. Suddenly acting as if they’re skin-walkers or impostors.

People you thought had a mind of their own. If they can fall, can any of us be far behind? Don’t laugh. Being overconfident in matters of mental manipulation actually makes you more susceptible, not less.

In order to resist this, we need to be aware of this global effort.

At the same time, let’s focus on what we can do on the ground. That includes volunteering but also things like being on the lookout for any content that advances defeatism. When you come across an outlet, influencer, politician, talking head, or pollster who promotes such thoughts don’t do the silly thing and just write it off as a one-time lapse. Believe them when they tell you who they are and respond accordingly. Be wary. Scrutinize what they say. Refuse to take anything at face value.

We’re dealing with a push to propagate a certain emotional wavelength throughout the party. Our personal attitudes can act as barriers to that carrier wave and help keep it contained.

I have personal experience suffering a sustained multi-year psychological attack by an enemy that wanted nothing more than for me to feel alone and dejected. I was imprisoned. Cut off from any real information. I had no other access to news but ABC or CNN while behind bars. It’s bad enough I couldn’t be with my wife. While in prison, nothing we heard could be trusted. Our minds were sealed off by concrete and barbed wire, as well as by professional propaganda and disinfo.

I learned that fighting demoralization is simple, actually. I realized I am the one who steels my will and creates bulwarks of resolve. I thought, I read, I wrote, and I prayed.

Surrounding yourself with savvy people who are like-minded is important. As is prayer. Religion allows you transcend the material and focus on what really matters which is the eternal. When you do that, even the worst news about Trump being arrested or shot presents an opportunity to turn and trust the hand of God. And that keeps panic from entering the system.

So when you see the panicans screeching, that reveals something about their relationship with God and materialist worldview.

And this is how I deprived evil idiots control over what I thought and how I felt. There’s no reason you can’t do this as well. Looking at the upcoming year, there’s plenty of reason that you should. Become the eye in the storm. The person others go to for a sane take.

After all, it’s your mind. It’s your heart. These well-trained and well-funded psychological operators aren’t the lords of your internal realm. You are.

I spent two months at Philly FDC where FDC stands for “Federal Detention Center.” What that means is the inmates in that facility are all being detained pretrial or they’re awaiting sentencing or, like me, they were in transit from to their final destination.

So the inmates there have all kinds of backgrounds. People facing federal charges for any number of crimes. Mostly drug dealers, but also things like trafficking in people or weapons or even white collar criminals.

All that is to say the people in my pod composed a varied assortment of alleged criminals from different backgrounds and races.

One of the more unusual discoveries I made while in Philly is the fact that the TV show Law and Order had a sizable following.

I thought it was weird because the protagonists of the show are prosecutors and cops. And if you know anything about inmates, their hatred of law enforcement of any stripe is deep-seated and undying. Such that no real authority figure having any connection with the law is really safe alone in the presence of any inmate.

So why were they so interested in Law and Order? I tried asking but the replies were incoherent or unsatisfyingly vague. “Oh, I just like the show.” The capacity for introspection is not as common in a prison environment.

I formed my own conclusion from watching the show and watching the reactions of my fellow inmates as the stories played out. I realized that Law and Order represented a kind of fantasy world for the inmates.

A fantasy world where law worked the way we were all raised to believe it should work. That cases against defendants had to be airtight and that judges were these completely impartial arbiters of the letter of the law whose concerns were split equally between the concerns of the prosecutors and the rights of the accused.

This is not how criminal law works, especially at the federal level. Research shows that the vast majority of these men would take some kind of plea deal. That’s up to 98% of defendants who don’t even bother to take their cases to trial according to Pew research. Of those 2% who do opt for a trial, fully 83% are eventually convicted. Only 17% of that 2% manage to get acquitted. Pew says that breaks out to “only 320 of 79,704” or 0.4% of total defendants can claim to have their cases acquitted.

As one of my fellow inmates facing a white collar charge pointed out, that makes the DoJ one of the most efficient branches of the federal government operating a 99.6% success rate.

These numbers are burned in the minds of everyone behind bars because they know if they want to fight the government, it’s going to take copious resources just to have a 1 in 250 chance that you can go free.

Those numbers represent an enormous travesty of justice in our system but I’m not bringing them up here explicitly to protest this disparity.

My point is, to borrow the lingo of the inmate, that if the federal government wants to get you, you “get got.”

Of course this is not the case for those within government itself. Please see my piece from last week to hear my views on James Comey and how I accurately predicted that the system protects people like him.

My concern here has to do with the Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal who shot two Guardsmen in the nation’s capitol the night before Thanksgiving this week.

There’s a good deal of scandal surrounding this event. Perhaps most disconcerting is that he is one of the many people flown into the country in Biden’s shambolic and completely botched Afghanistan withdrawal.

Many people are saying that he wasn’t properly vetted, but in Lakanwal’s case, I don’t think vetting would’ve removed him because he worked with our troops and the CIA for ten years in Afghanistan.

In other words, he’s exactly the type of ally any administration would’ve felt remiss in leaving behind.

And yet here we are, years later, and he’s committing terrorism on American soil. Not just American soil, but our Capital city of Washington DC. And not just on anyone, but armed soldiers sent to bring order to a city that was essentially under the boot of state-sponsored anarcho-terrorism.

The connection with the CIA is key here because no one trusts the CIA anymore.

There’s also a CIA connection with the Democrats known as the Seditious Six, who I also blasted last week. Michigan Senator Elissa Slotkin proudly wears her CIA background on her sleeve as a qualification for holding office. She’s featured in the video wearing a black turtle neck and leather jacket -- a look that one X user satirized as her best “get Jason Bourne outfit.” As if she were the remorseless intel bureaucrat villain from the original Bourne movie.

Why this is disturbing is because our CIA has been involved in the fomenting of various color revolutions around the world. The term comes from the popular uprisings in the post-Soviet states on the border of Russia. In the media, the press praise these actions as the advent of true Western-style democracy, but as the revolution that put Zelynskyy in power in Ukraine demonstrates, color revolutions have a dark underside and not the best record when it comes to establishing anything other than a puppet government that is democratic in name only.

The process has been so widely used that there are set stages for taking a country from one form of government, to overthrow, and the establishment of a new government, typically run by handpicked lackeys. The advent of the internet has so far facilitated these types of operations.

According to Insight Intelligence Group, the process has three main stages:

Stage one is where a coalition of the disaffected form an underground. This is formed by mainly young and highly impressionable people who put out calls to action and use sloganeering to rally others to their cause.

Stage two is widespread civil disobedience meant to “discredit the defense, security, and law enforcement forces through strikes, civil disobedience, rioting, and sabotage.”

Stage three is widespread violence against officials and other representatives of the state. Despite these attacks, the media will whitewash the overthrow as “mostly peaceful.”

It doesn’t take a whole lot of imagination to see that’s exactly what’s going on in our country now. There are numerous examples of each of these phases being implemented in the same order just outlined.

The purpose of the video statement by the Seditious Six is not to just foment dissent and confusion in the ranks of the military, but to seed the idea that anyone obeying the administration will not receive popular support.

Slotkin especially has been taking to the airwaves both before and after the video to warn viewers that the conflict between citizens and the government is about to go hot. She intones that soldiers will become scared and start shooting at civilians. At which point she hopes order will break down as the government become widely delegitmated in the eyes of the people.

And then when the two guardsmen were shot in DC and what happened? The media kept trying to push the idea that they were put in harm’s way by the Trump administration. That’s not just trying to find a way to blame President Trump for the violence, it sends a strong message to the rest of the National Guard volunteers that there will be no unified voice of outrage at their murder.

Instead the message will be, essentially, that they got what was coming to them because they followed orders.

This dovetails with the messaging of the Seditious Six in both narrative thrust and timing.

It’s also come out that exactly a week before the SS (Seditious Six) video came out, the National Lawyers’ Guild published a guide for military members on refusing orders.

hockingly, the guide warns servicemembers that they will be tried for “war crimes” if they go along with enforcement actions directed by their Commander in Chief.

The NGL is infamous for being the activist attorneys in bright green caps at Antifa protests. Their job is to meticulously document the actions of law enforcement in order to bring prosecutions against individuals or organs that actually enforce laws.

Other researchers have noted the SS’s connection to a suspiciously well-funded bipartisan group called “New Politics” which recruits veterans from military, Americorps, and intelligence to run as candidates in major elections. The group boasts a 70% percent success rate.

Impressive, but not DoJ levels, for sure.

DataRepublican also notes that gunman Lakanwal worked for an organization called the International Rescue Committee which she concludes is obviously a CIA front.

There’s a temptation to look at Lakanwal and separate him from your average Democrat politician. He cried “Allahu Akbar” as he fought with several other Guardsmen, so we’re expected to plop him into the “terrorist” bucket which is distinct from the “unhinged Democrat” bucket.

This would be a major mistake. And it’s not just because of the CIA connections threaded throughout this whole affair. Nor is it because doing so would ignore the reality behind the red-green alliance.

It’s because the media narrative ties the event to the SS video.

Since the very beginning of the first Trump administration, the media has been a key partner in delivering the preferred narrative of the Deep State. That organ that has been widely understood as being composed of faceless and unaccountable bureaucrats generally but specifically is known as the unofficial Fourth Branch government run by our own intelligence services.

All of this has been thoroughly documented in official investigations into the government’s actions over the past ten-plus years. The DoJ (including the FBI and DC judiciary) as well as the CIA along with the Obama White House have been caught red handed in perpetrating a coup that culminated with the bogus 2020 election.

And while the media dutifully parroted the preferred narrative during the setup of this coup, they’ve all but ignored the subsequent revelations.

This reveals that the media wasn’t duped but was actively participating in that coup.

And, like those who went along with the 2016 operation, no one has faced justice other than a handful of relatively weak and possibly unrelated indictments for the likes of people like James Comey.

And now we get back to my original point about the power of the federal government to convict on crimes. It is almost impossible to fight this behemoth. If it wants you got, you get got.

What we need to do most of all right now, is to stop pretending that there’s a rational explanation that vindicates everything these people are doing out in the open. The SS, Lakanwal, the NGL, Antifa, the media, and Dems in general are in a state of open sedition against the United States.

The goal of that seditious behavior is to overthrow the government itself.

There is an urgent need to address this as forcefully as possible. I’m not sure what this looks like, but it shouldn’t involve any form of Leftist-aligned judges to include the entire DC bench because they are also implicated in the original coup and deeply involved in the current operation.

It’s clear from the actions and rhetoric of these groups; like the NGL, the IRC, and Democrats at large; that they are pushing hard to enter into the next stage of unrest. And while there are voices on the Right such as Robert Barnes who say the SS didn’t really break any law, that’s such a naive interpretation of their actions that completely dismisses the bald intentions behind their supposedly innocent PSA.

The government can dispense with such charitable interpretations when it wants. It did with us J6ers and does so on a regular basis and on an industrial scale with nearly every federal criminal defendant to ever be slapped with and indictment.

If we are as a people are to be subjected to such monolithic and overwhelming legal force, then that standard should be applied universally. And in this case, there really is no excuse for the actions of the SS other than they want to destroy America.

It’s folly to give them the benefit of laws and a due process which we do not and could not hope to enjoy under the legal system as it currently operates. So it’s high time that these traitors too get a taste of what it’s like and get got.
