More movement expectations. More premium.</p><p>That&#8217;s where sellers usually get paid best.</p><p>Low IV Rank often means:</p><p>Weak premium. Poor compensation for risk.</p><p>Sometimes the best trade is simply waiting.</p><p>Patience matters more than activity.</p><p>Most traders struggle because they constantly feel the need to do something.</p><p>The market doesn&#8217;t reward activity. Avoiding unnecessary risk&#8230;</p><p>The goal isn&#8217;t perfection. Less reactive. Volatility crush. Probability.</p><p>The clock works against them. IV usually contracts after they enter. And many of the contracts they buy have low probabilities of success to begin with.</p><p>To make money consistently buying options, you often need to be right about:</p><p>Direction. Magnitude. Timing.</p><p>At the same time.</p><p>That&#8217;s difficult. I&#8217;ve taught it for years, but its still a very hard thing&#8230;</p><p>When you start selling premium instead, the math flips.</p><p>Time starts working for you. Elevated IV becomes beneficial. Probability shifts in your favor.</p><p>That doesn&#8217;t mean selling premium is risk free. It means the structure itself is built differently.</p><p>The buyer pays for hope. (not anymore)</p><p>The setup looked decent... The trade made sense. The problem was the size was too large for me to think clearly once the trade moved against me&#8230; Never again..</p><p>That one position affected every decision afterward until I fixed the issue..</p><p>I closed winners early. Avoided new setups. Started trading emotionally.</p><p>The account wasn&#8217;t broken. My clarity was.</p><p>That&#8217;s when I learned something most traders ignore:</p><p>Position sizing IS the strategy. Size is everything, Risk is #1 to me now..</p><p>You can have the best setup in the world, but if the size is wrong, none of it matters.</p><p>A simple rule I use now:</p><p>If the worst realistic outcome happened tomorrow, would I still be mentally clear enough to trade correctly?</p><p>If the answer is no, the size is too big.</p><p>Most people want bigger positions, forced homeruns. Don&#8217;t get me wrong, home runs still come and are always welcome. I just want to round out my trading now.</p><p>That&#8217;s where my focus has been moving behind the scenes.</p><p>Option selling. Premium collection. Compounding capital. Building positions over time instead of constantly chasing daily entries. Don&#8217;t get me wrong, I&#8217;m still day trading. It&#8217;s in my blood. I can&#8217;t give that up, and I never will.</p><p>Not because day trading is dead.... but because most people never learn the side of the market where probabilities, structure, and patience actually start working in their favor. I know both sides, but publicly I&#8217;ve mainly only shared one side of it.</p><p>Most traders spend years trying to predict. Very few spend time building an actual income engine.</p><p>That&#8217;s the direction this newsletter is moving.</p><p>Cash secured puts. Covered calls. Portfolio building. Compounding systems.
