Looking back, I’m filled with so much gratitude because this office was so much more than a position to me. God used it to build me, stretch me, mould me, and teach me in ways I didn’t even realise I needed.

I learnt, unlearnt, and relearnt so many things.

I experienced grace. I experienced favour. I experienced God coming through for me in ways that I can’t even fully put into words. There were moments I wondered how I was going to do certain things, and somehow, God always made a way.

I am living proof that God really does help a man.

If He gives you a task, He will equip you for it.

Because if you had told me this time last year that I would be the Bible Study Secretary, I probably would have laughed or panicked.

I was genuinely in shock when I was given the position. Me? Bible Study Secretary?

If you know me personally, you already know that I really don't like talking, especially for long periods of time.

So imagine my confusion when God placed me in a position that required me to communicate, coordinate, teach, organise and, sometimes, stand in front of people and talk.

But God knew what He was doing.

He used this office to pull me out of my comfort zone. He taught me to rely on Him instead of relying on my own abilities. He gave me the courage for things I naturally would have avoided.

And somewhere along the way, I realised that maybe the position wasn't just something God was asking me to do.

It was something He was using to do something in me.

I became more confident. I learnt how to serve even when I didn't feel like it. I learnt that leadership isn't always about having all the answers; sometimes, it's simply being willing to show up and trust God to help you.

There were challenges, of course. There were moments of frustration, moments when things didn't go as planned, and moments when I wondered if I was actually doing enough.

But even in those moments, God remained faithful.

And now, handing over feels a little surreal.

I'm grateful for the people I served with, the people who supported me, the lessons, the mistakes, the victories, the prayers, the late nights, the Bible studies, and every single experience that came with this season.

I'm grateful for the girl who was scared to take the position, and I'm even more grateful for the God who took her by the hand and helped her grow into it.

So, as I close this chapter, I don't just want to say, "I served as the Bible Study Secretary."

I want to say:

God trusted me with a task, and He gave me the grace to carry it.

And if there is anything this season has taught me, it is this:

Never disqualify yourself from something simply because you don't think you're capable of it.

If God calls you, He will equip you.

If He sends you, He will help you.

And if He gives you an assignment, you can trust Him to provide the grace for it.

I'm ending this season with a full heart and one simple testimony:

God helped me.

And He was good through it all.

So… what's next?

I guess we’ll see.

But whatever it is, I know one thing:

The same God who helped me here will help me there too. 🤍

For almost two weeks now, I've been reading a devotional titled FUELLED, and the current theme has been stress.

Today's devotion asked a question that left me soliloquizing:

"Do you still know how to play?"

And almost immediately, I found myself asking,

"Miracle, do you still know how to play?"

We live in a fast-paced world where busyness has become the new badge of productivity.

We're constantly on the move, constantly doing. Any moment of rest is often mistaken for laziness, falling behind, or being unproductive.

We're always rushing to meet deadlines, tick off to-do lists, and get to the next thing that we forget to pause and relish the beauty of God's creation.

We rush through our meals, gulping down our food without stopping to savour the taste. Yet God gave us our senses—sight, smell, sound, taste, and touch, not merely to survive, but to enjoy the world He created.

More often than not, we spend our moments of rest thinking about getting back to work to do something "useful." And even when we finally slow down, guilt quietly creeps in, whispering that we're wasting time.

But Jesus wasn't in a hurry to miss the beauty around Him.

He noticed the flowers. He pointed to the birds. He found lessons in seeds, vineyards, sheep, and storms. Creation wasn't a distraction from His mission; it was part of how He revealed the Father's heart.

Jonathan Edwards once wrote that the child of God should specialize in enhancing earthly joy with spiritual joy. He explained that the Christian's earthly comforts become even sweeter when we remember that God is our Father and Friend, and that He gives us these blessings out of His love and delight for us.

Sunshine. Rainfall. Pets. Laughter. Gifts. Walks. Runs. Reading. Picnics. Stargazing. Art. Gardening. Beaches. Games. Sharing stories. Sunrises. Sunsets. Music. Baking. Cooking. Dancing. Banter.

These are not distractions from life.

They are God's precious gifts.

Prioritize them.

Receive them not with guilt, as though you're wasting time, but with gratitude for the Father's kindness.

As you slow down enough to appreciate them, who knows what your Father might teach you through them?

So, let me ask you the same question that stopped me in my tracks today:

Do you still know how to play?

I mean deeply in love. The kind of love where everything about someone excites you. Their voice, their laugh, the way they think, the random stories they tell, even the silence you share with them.

Love is a crazy emotion. Trust me, I'm talking from experience.

When you're in love, you can't go a day without talking to that person. Even when you're exhausted, you still find the strength to call. Some people even fall asleep on the phone because neither of them wants to end the conversation.

You text them every day, and the moment they take longer than usual to reply, anxiety starts creeping in.

You always want to be around them. Hours spent together never seem like enough. You crave more conversations, more laughter, more memories.

Their words carry weight. Their approval means something. Their happiness becomes your priority, and what hurts them somehow hurts you too.

Maybe that's why people say love is blind.

Because love has a way of making you go beyond logic. You willingly inconvenience yourself. You sacrifice. You forgive. You show up. You make time.

Now here's the question...

We say we love God.

But do we?

Because when I compare the way we're passionate about the people we love to the way we often treat God, the contrast is heartbreaking.

We claim to love Him, yet we barely spend time with Him.

It's almost like we're in a one-sided relationship where He's always the One pursuing, always reaching out, always waiting.

Think about it.

Imagine you and the person you love agreed on a date. You get there excited, waiting to spend time together. Then they call to say they can't make it.

It happens once.

Then twice.

Then again.

Eventually, wouldn't you begin to wonder if you actually mattered to them?

Yet this is exactly what we do to God.

He calls, but we don't answer.

He waits, but we're too busy.

He reaches out, but we keep pulling away.

We postpone prayer.

We rush through His Word.

We promise, "Tomorrow, Lord."

If we truly love Him, shouldn't we desire to spend time with Him?

Shouldn't His heart become our concern?

Shouldn't what pleases Him naturally begin to please us?

Because that's what love does.

Love makes room.

Love listens.

Love stays.

Love chooses.

God has never stopped choosing us.

The question is...

Will we choose Him too?

Sometimes, life has a funny way of making you question your own choices.

You find yourself asking,

"What exactly am I doing?"

About a week ago, I attended a fellowship concert of drama and music. It was beautiful. The theme resonated deeply with me, and as I flipped through the program outline, I noticed a session for special ministrations.

Almost immediately, a thought crossed my mind:

"Maybe I should write something and present it."

In less than twenty minutes, I had a complete piece.

I was excited.

Until it was time to present.

A poet came up first.

Then a spoken word artist.

And just like that, my confidence quietly slipped away.

Because a question I had never really considered suddenly became very loud in my mind.

What exactly do I call myself?

If I walked up to that stage and someone asked who I was, what would I say?

A poet? No... I don't really write in rhymes.

A spoken word artist? Not really. I don't intentionally build my writing around wordplay or performance.

So... what do I write?

It was such a simple question, yet I couldn't answer it.

And strangely, not having an answer made me begin to question everything else.

Is my writing even good enough?

Does it fit anywhere?

If I can't define it, does it even have value?

Funny how quickly we begin to doubt what God has given us simply because we don't know what category to place it in.

As I sat there, I had to remind myself of something.

Maybe it isn't about the label.

Maybe it never was.

Maybe what matters is whether the words carry life.

Whether they make someone pause.

Whether they point someone back to Christ.

Whether they leave a heart just a little more hopeful than they found it.

The truth is, I still don't know exactly what kind of writer I am.

And maybe... that's okay.

Not every gift introduces itself with a title.

Some gifts simply grow.

Perhaps one day I'll find the perfect description for what I do.

Or perhaps the writing itself will define me long before a label ever does.

Until then, I'll keep writing.

I'll keep asking questions.

I'll keep reflecting.

I'll keep pointing people to Jesus with the words He places in my heart.

So, until I figure it all out...

We have a Friend that sticketh closer than a brother, and nope, he's not human. He's our Advocate, our Intercessor, our ever-present Help. You can hear Him as a quiet, still voice saying, "This is the path, walk therein."

That gentle nudge or prompting you've been ignoring, that burden to pray, study, fast, or spend more time with Him, don't push it aside. It may be the Holy Spirit calling you deeper.

When you've been told to do something and keep brushing it off, yet that conviction remains, it's because He is patiently waiting for your response. He isn't condemning you; He's inviting you into deeper fellowship. But remember, the Holy Spirit can be grieved. "And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God..."(Ephesians 4:30). Every ignored prompting dulls our sensitivity to His voice.

"Deep calleth unto deep" (Psalm 42:7).

There can be no fire without revival, no revival without renewal, and no renewal without a deeper walk with the Holy Spirit.

This week, why not spend time fasting, praying, and studying the Word? The entrance of His Word gives light and understanding. Let go of every weight and every fleshly desire, and plunge deep.

You can't remain at the same position and expect deeper experiences in God. The more you yield to Him, the clearer His voice becomes.

Don't ignore the nudge. Don't grieve the Holy Spirit.

Yesterday was World Blood Donor Day, a day dedicated to encouraging people to donate blood and save lives.

The first time I donated blood was in December 2025, and it remains one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had.

For years, I used to joke with my friends that if I ever donated blood, it would have to be returned immediately with extra blood added on top. The thought of giving away a whole pint of blood sounded terrifying to me. Yet, life has a funny way of proving us wrong.

On that particular day, AIESEC was hosting a blood drive, and I had simply accompanied a friend who happened to be a member. I was there to support, observe, and maybe laugh about donating blood, not actually donate it.

But somehow, before I knew it, I found myself seated, having my haemoglobin level checked.

To my surprise, I had just enough blood to donate.

And then came another surprise: I became the first female donor that day.

I cannot fully describe how proud I felt sitting in that chair. Yes, I felt dizzy afterward. No, I didn't pass out, although it certainly felt like I was considering it for a moment. But despite the discomfort, I knew it was worth it.

Why?

Because somewhere, someone I would probably never meet could receive that blood after it had been properly screened and processed in the laboratory. Somewhere, a life could be saved because I chose to give.

As an upcoming Medical Laboratory Scientist, that realization made the experience even more meaningful. Blood is not just a red fluid flowing through our veins. It is life. It is hope. It is a second chance.

This year's World Blood Donor Day theme is:

"One Drop of Humanity. Give Blood. Save Lives."

The theme emphasizes that every blood donation is far more than a medical act. It is an expression of humanity, compassion, solidarity, and care for others. It reminds us that a single donation can save lives and strengthen communities around the world.

Every day, countless people battle conditions that require blood transfusions. Patients living with anaemia, accident victims, mothers experiencing complications during childbirth, and individuals undergoing major surgeries all depend on the availability of safe blood.

Imagine having a loved one in urgent need of blood, only to discover that their blood type is unavailable in the blood bank.

The consequences can be devastating.

That is why voluntary blood donation matters.

You may think one pint is insignificant, but to someone fighting for their life, it can mean everything.

The truth is that most of us will never know whose life our blood might save. We may never receive a thank-you note or meet the recipient. Yet there is something profoundly beautiful about giving a part of yourself to help another human being survive.

A simple act.

A few minutes of your time.

A chance to save a life.

So if you are healthy and eligible, consider becoming a blood donor. What seems small to you could be the miracle someone else is desperately praying for.

Because sometimes, humanity is found in something as simple as a single drop.

God is sovereign, yet He chooses partnership, this work on earth is carried through people.

On this journey of becoming, one thing I’m learning is that we cannot do it alone.

God is working on each of us individually, yes, but we are also connected.

We are connected through people.

We can’t do without each other. We weren’t designed to.

And honestly, this is something I’m still learning.

I’m not naturally the most “out there” person.

I’m not always the loudest in the room or the one constantly reaching out.

Sometimes, I just like my space.

But I’ve come to realize that even in my quiet seasons… people still matter.

Let me say this out loud:

I’m grateful for the gift of people.

I’m not helpless, but I have amazing people around me.

People who show up.

People who help.

People who make this journey easier.

There are times I need something and I don’t have to struggle as much… because I know someone.

There’s a difference between waiting in line trying to see someone…

and simply calling them because you have a relationship.

That difference? Access.

And that’s something I’ve come to value deeply.

Having the right people around you gives you access, access you cannot buy,

access you cannot force,

access that comes naturally through connection.

That’s one of the reasons I genuinely love networking.

Not in a fake way, not in a “what can I gain from you” way, but in a real, intentional way. Because I’ve seen how powerful it is.

Sometimes, the help you need is already in your contact list.

Sometimes, the opportunity you’re praying for is connected to someone you know, or someone you’re yet to meet.

But here’s the part I’m still growing in…

There are days I step back.

Days I go quiet.

Days I don’t show up as much.

And my friends? They always notice. They always call me out.

But I’m learning that relationships need effort.

You can’t build depth and then disappear.

You can’t expect access without connection.

You can’t receive consistently without also showing up.

So I’m learning to be more present.

To nurture the relationships God has given me.

To not take people for granted.

Because relationships are not meant to be used, they are meant to be valued.

In your journey of becoming, people will play different roles.

Some will help you.

Some will guide you.

Some will stretch you.

Some will simply walk with you.

And all of them matter.

You don’t have to do life alone.

You don’t have to figure everything out by yourself.

God didn’t design it that way.

So choose your circle wisely.

Invest in your relationships intentionally.

And never underestimate the gift of people.

Because sometimes…

The door you’re praying for may not open with a key… it may open with a relationship.

The first thing you must never ignore in your journey of becoming is your walk with God.

I do not know how most people do life without God. Truly, I don’t.

Life with God certainly does not mean life without storms. It does not mean challenges disappear or that the road becomes perfectly smooth. But there is something deeply strengthening about knowing that through it all, you are not walking alone.

Without God, life can feel draining. Purpose without God often becomes pressure. Identity without God becomes performance. Success without God can still leave you feeling empty.

This is where many people struggle, you cannot truly discover your purpose if you do not know your Maker.

Many of us are running around trying to “find ourselves,” searching for identity in people, achievements, validation, and worldly definitions of success. But the truth is simple: God is the only One who can truly tell you who you are.

Purpose outside God is often confusing. Purpose inside God is peaceful.

I remember reading The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren, and one thing that stayed with me was this truth: you cannot discover your life’s purpose by looking within yourself alone. You must look to God, because purpose begins with Him.

That book reminded me that we were created by God and for God, and until we understand that, life can feel like a puzzle with missing pieces.

A good analogy I love is this:

Imagine you bought a machine, but you have no idea what it was created for. No matter how expensive or beautiful it looks, the only person who can truly explain its purpose is the manufacturer.

You would not ignore the instruction manual and start guessing.

So why do we do that with our lives?

God is our Creator. He is the One who formed us, called us, and placed purpose inside us. He knows what we were designed for better than anyone else ever could.

Purpose outside God is stressful. Purpose inside God is fulfilling.

Do not underestimate your relationship with God on your journey of becoming.

If your identity is not rooted in Him, life can feel unstable. But when your relationship with God is strong, there is a different kind of peace, even in uncertainty.

His presence gives strength.

His wisdom gives direction.

His grace gives room to grow.

And even when the journey feels long, confusing, or painful, walking with God makes it beautiful and worth it.

Before titles.

Before platforms.

Before applause.

Choose God.

Because becoming with God feels like purpose.

Becoming without God often feels like pressure.

I’m a God’s girlie, gradually and intentionally becoming. And maybe that’s the beauty of life: becoming never truly ends. It is a continuous process. You never really stop becoming, you simply grow into newer versions of yourself.

Many of us admire results but ignore process.

We celebrate confidence without asking about the battles behind it. We applaud success without understanding the sacrifices. We praise visibility without recognizing the hidden seasons of growth that came before it.

People often look at someone who is thriving and assume it happened overnight. They see the outcome, but not the becoming. They see the strength, but not the stretching. They admire the finished story but overlook the uncomfortable chapters that shaped it.

The truth is, becoming is never accidental.

No one simply wakes up and steps fully into purpose. Growth is intentional. It is a journey marked by learning, unlearning, obedience, patience, discipline, failure, resilience, and grace. It is often quiet, uncomfortable, and deeply personal.

There are certain things that shape every meaningful journey, things many people underestimate until life forces them to pay attention. Some lessons are learned through wisdom, others through pain. Either way, they become impossible to ignore.

If you are serious about growth, purpose, and becoming the person God has called you to be, then you must pay attention to the foundations that truly matter.

Before the success.
Before the recognition.
Before the arrival.

There are essentials you simply cannot afford to overlook.

I may not be the most experienced person in the room, but from my little knowledge, my personal journey, and the lessons life keeps teaching me, I have come to understand that becoming requires more than desire, it requires depth.

Over the next five days, I’ll be sharing five things you must never underestimate in your journey of becoming.

Not because I have mastered them all, but because I am learning them too, daily, slowly, honestly.

And maybe, somewhere in these words, you’ll find a reminder you needed.

Maybe you’ll realize that where you are is not failure, it is process.

Maybe you’ll understand that becoming is not about rushing to arrive, but about allowing God to shape you while you journey.

So if you’re in your becoming season, confused, stretching, learning, unlearning, waiting, growing, this series is for you.

Let’s begin.

I'd like to take note of three words: sinners, entice, and consent. Because I think we skim past this verse like it's elementary, like it's something we already know. But sit with it for a moment. There's more here than a simple warning.

Sinners

There are people who deliberately choose wrong paths and are comfortable living contrary to God's ways. It doesn't just mean "people who make mistakes," because everyone does that. Here, it refers to those who practise evil, enjoy it, and even want others to join them.

The dangerous ones aren't always the obvious ones. Sometimes they look like friends. Sometimes they look like opportunity.

Entice

To entice means to lure, persuade, or tempt someone into something wrong by making it look attractive, harmless, or beneficial. Sin rarely comes looking ugly, it often comes dressed as fun, opportunity, quiet gain, revenge, acceptance, or pleasure.

For example:

"Just do it once."

"No one will know."

"Everyone does it."

"It will help you get ahead."

That is enticement. It doesn't kick the door down, it knocks politely and waits for you to open it yourself.

Consent

To consent means to agree, yield, accept, or go along with it. Sometimes the real battle is not in being tempted, it's in saying "yes" to it. The verse is saying: even if sinners try to pull you in, do not agree. Do not join them. Do not let your heart say yes.

You may not always control who invites you, but you can control your response. Temptation may knock, but consent is opening the door.

Your "no" is not weakness. It is warfare.

Something happened a few weeks ago and since then, this verse has been ringing in my head.

My friend and I went to visit a guy she had just met, because I couldn't let her go alone, and also because she had come to visit me at my place and I would have been held responsible if anything happened to her. You know how it is.

The first thing this guy had to ask was if we drink alcohol. Honestly? Red flag, immediately. We told him no. But he still went inside and came out with a bottle of alcohol, Coke, and two glasses. In my mind I was like, did we not just tell you we don't drink?

I repeated myself, I don't take alcohol. And instead of leaving it there, he went ahead to explain that the percentage of alcohol in the drink was only 25%, that mixing it with Coke would dilute it, and that it's only when you take the whole bottle that you'd get the full 25%.

I need you to clock what just happened there. That is not a man offering a drink. That is enticement with a PowerPoint presentation.

I flared up immediately. I said I wouldn't take it. Because I could feel what was happening, someone trying to slowly negotiate my no into a yes. Trying to put a wedge between me and God, whether he knew it or not. And I wasn't going to let anything come between my relationship with God. He didn't get my consent. Not even close.

Here's what I want you to take away:

We can't control the kind of people we meet. But we can absolutely control our response to what they throw at us.

Not every invitation should be accepted.

Not every voice should be followed.

Not every opportunity is from Him.

Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is simply say no and mean it. Hold firm to your resolve. Hold firm to your consecration.

When sinners entice, and they will, let your answer already be decided before they finish the sentence.

Your "no" is holy ground. Protect it.

Life… so fleeting.

There’s a quiet irony in existence, the unsettling truth that death does not knock politely or wait for permission. It arrives unannounced, indifferent, and sometimes, unbearably cruel. But perhaps what hurts the most is not death itself, but the manner in which it comes. Not natural, not peaceful, but violent, abrupt, and born out of a system that has failed its people.

A system that has failed to protect.

A system that has failed to hold anyone accountable.

What should have been a normal evening dissolved into chaos, a bloodbath. Reports say unknown gunmen stormed in, killing indiscriminately. Children. Young men. Women. No one was spared. No one was too innocent. No one was too small.

Panic became the language of the night.

People ran in every direction, searching for safety that suddenly felt nonexistent. Inside homes, hearts pounded against chests as gunshots rang endlessly, loud, disorienting, coming from everywhere and nowhere at once. In those moments, prayers didn’t feel like rituals; they felt like last words.

Because how do you know… if you’ll survive the night?

This wasn’t a distant tragedy.

This was close. Too close.

The very road, just five minutes away by keke from my house, the same route I take daily to school. Familiar, routine, ordinary. Until it wasn’t.

Sleep became impossible. Every sound felt amplified, every movement suspicious. The body refused rest, choosing instead to remain alert, hyper-aware, as though vigilance alone could guarantee survival.

Is this what safety looks like?

Is this what it means to be a citizen in your own country, afraid, restless, uncertain?

No one should have to live like this.

This is a community of students and families, people whose biggest worries should have been exams, deadlines, daily bread. Yet books were abandoned, sleep was stolen, and fear took center stage. Exams were cancelled, not out of convenience, but necessity. A 48-hour curfew was imposed, but can time-bound restrictions undo irreversible loss?

Can they bring back lives?

Families are now draped in mourning. Grief echoes in homes where laughter once lived. A mother, unable to bear the weight of losing her son, has also passed. Pain, multiplying pain.

And still, questions remain.

This wasn’t the promise.

This isn’t the country we were told we would have.

And yet, this story feels familiar, repeated too many times, in too many places, until tragedy risks becoming routine.

But we must never normalize this.

We must never grow numb.

Because behind every headline is a name.

Behind every statistic is a story.

Behind every loss is a family that will never be the same again.

My Thoughts

There is a kind of fear that lingers long after the gunshots fade, the quiet, invisible kind. The kind that settles into your chest and changes how you listen to silence, how you interpret footsteps, how you exist in spaces that once felt safe.

No one should have to negotiate their safety with uncertainty.

No one should have to pray just to make it through an ordinary night.

And yet, here we are.

What happened is not just a tragedy, it is a failure. A painful reminder that governance is not just about promises made during campaigns, but about lives protected in moments like these.

If a nation cannot guarantee the safety of its people, then it must at least be honest about its urgency to change that reality.

Because people are tired.

Tired of mourning.

Tired of fear.

Tired of hoping that the next headline won’t be closer to home.

Pray for Plateau State.

Not just with words, but with awareness, with demand for accountability, and with a refusal to let this become normal.

Because life… should not be this fleeting.

Not shallow trust.

Not the kind that wavers when things become uncertain. But the kind that rests… fully.

The kind that says, “I know you will show up for me.”

The kind that believes deeply in who a person is, their capacity, their heart, their intentions.

Because really, what is love without trust?

And what is connection without the safety of being held, even in uncertainty?

I think about a father and his child, a little boy, barely one or two years old.

Place that child on a fence and tell him, “Jump.”

He doesn’t hesitate.

He doesn’t calculate distance or question outcomes.

He simply jumps.

Why?

Because he knows his father.

Because he trusts him.

Now tell an adult to do the same…

and suddenly, logic steps in.

Fear whispers.

“What if you don’t catch me?”

“What if I fall?”

“What if…?”

Somewhere along the way, we learned to doubt what we once received so freely.

Even when a father throws his child into the air, the child laughs not because he understands gravity, but because he understands love.

And somehow, I believe this is what God desires from us.

A return.

A soft, surrendered return to childlike trust.

Not blind ignorance, but confident dependence.

To trust Him enough to let go of control.

To trust Him enough to release the need to understand everything.

To trust Him enough… to let Him be God.

Because sometimes, our greatest struggle is not the problem itself, it is our refusal to loosen our grip on it.

We want to help God.

We want to figure it out.

We want to solve, fix, calculate, predict.

There’s something about this season of my life that feels intentional… almost like Heaven is holding my hand and saying, “Stay here. Learn this.”

The Holy Spirit has been teaching me three things:

Patience. Process. And how to stop complaining.

And guess what He’s using?

School 🥲

For the past two weeks, we’ve been writing exams. Out of nine courses, I’ve written just three. Three. And these aren’t light courses you can casually flip through, Hematology, Histopathology, Pharmacology, Chemical Pathology, Immunology… each one demanding a different version of me, a different level of focus, a different kind of strength.

Some days, I just want to skip it all.

Like… can I fast-forward to 500 level?

Write my professional exams, collect my license, and just vamoose?

But life doesn’t work that way.

There is a process.

And every single step, even the exhausting, frustrating, “God when?” kind of steps is building something in me. Something necessary. Something eternal.

Sometimes I try to comfort myself:

“Yakubu manage.”

But then again… 😭

I’m not Yakubu.

I’m Miracle.

Royalty.

And in my head, royalty shouldn’t be going through this 😭

But maybe… this is what royalty looks like.

Not a life without pressure, but a life sustained by grace in the middle of it.

And then comes the third lesson:

Stop complaining.

Because if I’m being honest, that’s my default.

When stress hits, I rant.

I sigh.

I dramatize.

Even now, see what I did up there? 😭

Exam season especially makes it worse. Memes everywhere. Students lamenting, groaning, exaggerating the struggle. Normally, I’d join in, repost, complain, bond over the chaos.

But this season is different.

The Holy Spirit is teaching me dependence.

And I’m realizing that complaining doesn’t lighten the weight, it multiplies it.

It feeds anxiety.

It amplifies fear.

So I’m learning… slowly, imperfectly… to be still.

To approach things with a calm heart and a steady mind.

It’s not easy.

There are days I want to scream 🥹

Days my strength runs out completely, like, “God, my strength don finish 😫”

But those are the exact moments I run to Him.

And without fail…

He shows up.

Not always by removing the pressure,

but by strengthening me within it.

And somehow, that’s even better.

Because at the end of this process,

I won’t just have passed exams.

I would have become someone.

Patient.

Refined.

Dependent.

Grounded.

And maybe… just maybe…

a little less complaining, and a lot more trusting 🤍

Actually… this feels like a holy moment.

A quiet crossing.

It’s my birthday.

And not just any birthday, I am 21 on the 21st of March.

There is something sacred about it. Something intentional.

Like heaven marked this day long before I arrived.

This year feels different.

Not loud, not crowded, but weighty with meaning.

I’m stepping into my early twenties, but more than that, I’m stepping into becoming.

Because truly, what is 21

if not a testimony of grace?

I have seen the hand of God.

Not once, not twice but over and over again

through all 21 years of my life.

His preservation.

His protection.

His provision.

Without Him, I am nothing.

Absolutely nothing.

I would have been far gone, but mercy said no.

Grace said stay.

And God carried me… all the way here.

So yes, God is good.

All the time. And all the time, God is good.

There are moments I feel the weight of time,

like I’m getting older in the middle of becoming.

But even that, I hold with gratitude.

Because growth is not always gentle, but it is always necessary.

I am grateful for the process. Grateful for the stretching. Grateful for the becoming.

This is a new era. A new dispensation.

And I know, God has work for me. Holy work.

So I lay myself down in surrender. Fully available. Fully yielded.

I look back, and my heart overflows.

Not because the journey was easy, but because God was present.

And in this new season, I pray for strength that does not break, for grace that does not run dry, for a heart that obeys even when it trembles.

I will not fail.

I will not falter.

Because the hand of the Lord is upon me.

I am blessed.

I am highly favoured.

I am not small.

I am not mediocre.

There is something eternal within me and I know it.

Even if I do not always have the words, I carry something.

And I will remain grateful.

I’m finally 21,

and all I can say is, Na God dey run am.

Oluwa eshe ooo, Chinese Dalu, Ubangiji nagode, Abadi Sosongo 🔥.

And these 21 days of gratitude… they were not just a challenge.

They were a consecration.

Because if I’m being honest, I didn’t think I would make it to the end.

I didn’t think I had the consistency,

or the strength.

But grace… grace carried me.

Day by day.

Word by word.

Breath by breath.

What started as a simple act became a sacred journey.

A testimony written in quiet obedience.

And I pray that somewhere, in someone’s life,

these words became light.

A reminder.

A nudge.

A whisper from God: keep going.

Because He is still writing.

Here’s to new seasons.

To doors only God can open.

To a life fully yielded.

21 is not just an age.

It is evidence.

That God has destined me to be.

Grateful for the present season, not the edited version, not the future I imagine, but right now as it is. Unfiltered. Unpolished. Still unfolding.

This season may not look like the answered prayers I once envisioned. It carries its own weight, unanswered questions, slow progress, moments of uncertainty. And yet, it also carries something deeper… something sacred.

Because even here, God is present.

Even here, something is being built, in the quiet, in the waiting, in the unseen places where growth doesn’t make noise. There is transformation happening beneath the surface, shaping me in ways ease never could.

I refuse to call this season “nothing.”

I refuse to rush past it as though it has no value.

This is not a pause.

This is not a delay.

This is becoming.

I am being stretched, refined, taught, and anchored, not in the noise of arrival, but in the stillness of now. There is discipline being formed here. There is faith being deepened here. There is a version of me emerging here that I have yet to fully meet.

And maybe the real power is learning to honor this moment without needing it to be different. To stand in the present without constantly reaching for the future. To see this season not as something to survive, but something to receive.

Because what if this, this exact moment, holds answers I’ve been too distracted to notice? What if there is beauty here I’ve been too hurried to appreciate?

At almost 21, I’m beginning to understand that life is not waiting for me somewhere ahead. It is here. It is now. And this season, exactly as it is, is not lacking, it is intentional, it is necessary, and it is quietly sacred. ✨

Not every door that closes is a loss, some are answers to prayers you didn’t know you prayed and some doors close not to deny you, but to defend you.

Grateful for closed doors, the ones that refused to open no matter how much I knocked, the ones that fell shut when I thought I was finally close.

At the time, it felt like loss. Like being turned away. Like standing at the edge of something I wanted, only to be told no in a language I didn’t understand.

But now I see it differently.

Some doors don’t open because God has gone ahead of you and decided that path is not yours to walk. Not everything that looks good is good for you. Not everything that feels right is aligned with your purpose.

There is a kind of mercy in restriction. A kind of love in denial. A quiet protection in things not working out.

I’m learning that closed doors are not empty endings, they are divine interruptions. Redirections wrapped in disappointment. Protection hidden in plain sight.

Because what if I had walked through some of those doors? What if I had forced what wasn’t meant for me? What if what I called a “missed opportunity” was actually a rescue?

Looking back, I can see it now, how certain things fell apart before they could break me. How some paths disappeared before they could mislead me. How some “no’s” carried more wisdom than the “yes” I was chasing.

Closed doors have taught me surrender. They’ve taught me to trust beyond what I can see, to believe that even in silence, even in denial, God is still speaking.

And maybe that’s the mystery of it all, that sometimes the greatest blessings don’t arrive as open doors, but as the ones that close.

At almost 21, I’m beginning to understand that I have not just been guided, but guarded. That I have not just been led, but protected. And for every door that didn’t open, every path that didn’t unfold, I carry a deep, unshaken gratitude, because I know now, it was never rejection… it was divine preservation. ✨

At almost 21, I’m beginning to see that the challenges I’ve faced were not meant to break me, but to prepare me. They were stretching my capacity for the life ahead of me. And for that, I’m deeply grateful. ✨

Today I’m choosing to be grateful for the small wins, the quiet, unnoticed victories that don’t always get celebrated but matter so much. The little moments of progress that may seem insignificant on the surface, yet are slowly shaping the person I am becoming.

I’m grateful for the strength to get out of bed and face the day, even on days when I don’t feel like it. I’m grateful for the discipline to keep going, even when motivation is low. I’m grateful for every moment I chose growth over comfort, learning over complaining, and faith over fear.

I’m thankful for the small steps, finishing a task, understanding something new, choosing kindness, showing up when it would have been easier to stay back, and trying again after feeling discouraged. These may look like ordinary moments, but they are victories in their own quiet way.

Sometimes we wait for big achievements before we celebrate ourselves, but today I’m learning that growth often happens in the small, consistent actions we take daily. Every small step forward matters. Every effort counts. Every moment of perseverance is a victory.

I’m grateful for the patience to trust the process and the grace to appreciate how far I’ve already come. Even when progress feels slow, I know that these small wins are quietly building discipline, character, resilience, and strength within me.

And maybe that’s the beauty of it all, the most meaningful victories are often the ones no one sees. The silent decisions to keep going, to believe, to try again. Today I choose to honor those moments, because they are proof that growth is happening, even in the quiet. ✨

A healthy community has a quiet power.

It turns ordinary people into extraordinary support systems.

Today, I’m thinking about one of the communities that has shaped me deeply — Made For More Africa.

I joined MFMA in 2024, and since then the journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. Somewhere along the way, I realized that community is not just about belonging. It is about being seen, supported, and gently strengthened by the people around you.

Made For More Africa has been all of that for me.

Since joining, I have witnessed tremendous growth in my life, growth in public speaking, social media management, leadership, and even people management. Looking back, it amazes me how much transformation can happen when you are surrounded by people who genuinely want to see you become more.

Yesterday, we had our workshop meeting, and one of the sessions was simple but powerful. We were asked to appreciate our fellow team members and share something we truly admire about them.

I sat there quietly, listening as names were called and kind words were spoken.

Then someone mentioned my name.

I was surprised.

Then another person mentioned my name.

And then another.

Almost everyone called my name and said one thing about me: consistency.

I felt deeply humbled. It made me feel seen in a way I did not expect. Consistency is something I have been intentionally working on in my life, yet hearing others say they admire that trait in me felt almost surreal.

Because the truth is, we often judge ourselves by our intentions and struggles, while others judge us by the actions they can see.

While I have been aware of the days I felt tired, unmotivated, or unsure of myself, they were seeing the days I still showed up.

They saw the discipline in the small things.

And that meant a lot to me.

It reminded me that sometimes the growth we are working so hard on is already visible to the people around us.

Moments like that make me deeply grateful, not just for the recognition, but for the community that made such a moment possible.

Every day I thank God for making my path cross with Made For More Africa. The opportunities I have had, the people I have met, the skills I have developed, it is all beyond words.

I am grateful to be part of a community where people genuinely care about one another.

Where everyone matters.

Where encouragement flows freely.

Where appreciation is spoken out loud.

And where, when we gather together, the room is always filled with warmth, joy, and laughter.

As I approach almost 21, I am learning that becoming is rarely a lonely journey.

We grow better when we grow with people.

And for that, I am deeply grateful.
