And now, as often happens with breakthrough technologies, the entire game has changed - again!

Over the last week, I have been immersed in a new AI agent called Grok Bot.

Grok Bot - produced by Cursor and then purchased by SpaceX AI - is the hottest thing to come along in the world of AI. (hotter than ChatGPT and we all know how fast that exploded around the world! It was the fastest growing app in history)

This last week has been mind blowing and eye opening, to say the least.

I spent the week DIRECTING the work I normally would’ve done myself - and GROK BOT did all the tasks (and far more than I could’ve done by myself) inside its live software (and in-built computers) instead of ME doing the work myself.

Quick one today, because this is the kind of AI update that can actually save you time this week... not someday when the tools get “better.”

If you run a one-person business, you already know where a lot of the busywork lives.

A vendor invoice page. A client’s WordPress admin. Some dashboard you log into once a week so you can copy the numbers out by hand.

You can’t really automate that stuff with a fancy integration. You just... do it.

Well, this week Anthropic basically said Claude can do that part now. They shipped three things in two days, so I’ll walk you through them in plain English.

1. Claude in Chrome is live (as of Wednesday) if you’re on a paid Claude plan.

You install it from the Chrome Web Store, and Claude can see the page you’re on, click, type, fill out forms, and use the logins you already have. New this week: it can keep going without asking you to approve every single click. (You can turn that off in settings if you’d rather watch it work.)

If you’re on the free plan, this one isn’t for you. And it’s Chrome only... not your phone, and not the other browsers.

2. Cowork is getting its own browser inside the desktop app.

No extension this time. A browser opens in the side panel and Claude uses that one, not yours. Your tabs, bookmarks and passwords stay put unless you choose to import a login, site by site. Banking, email, and “sign in with Google” type sites stay out unless you include them.

They’re rolling this out this week on Pro, Max, and Team. So if you don’t see it yet, don’t panic. It’s coming.

3. Chat and Cowork finally share a brain (that one landed Tuesday).

You know the annoying part. You have a good chat about your offer, your customer, how you like your emails written... then you switch over to Cowork to actually do the work... and you have to explain the whole thing all over again.

That used to be the deal. Chat knew you. Cowork showed up like a brand new intern.

They’ve connected those now.

There’s one memory. You’ll want to go to Settings, then Memory. You’ll see a list of topics. Read them, edit them, and delete the old business name it’s still hanging onto. If you’re on Free, Pro, or Max, memory is on by default.

One catch, and this is from their help docs, not me guessing: this shared memory only works when Cowork is running in the cloud. If it’s only running on your laptop, it doesn’t share.

What This Means for Solopreneurs

If you work alone, you don’t have a staff meeting. You’re it.

Every time you re-brief your AI, or copy numbers out of a portal by hand, that’s unpaid rework. This is how you go from a chatbot you have to babysit to an assistant that can actually open the page.

You’re not training some giant company brain here. You’re teaching one tool the same stuff you’d tell a VA on day one.

Do this today

1. If you pay for Claude, install Claude in Chrome.

2. Go to Settings > Memory and clean up the Topics list. (If it’s still using an offer you killed months ago, you’ll want to fix that.)

3. Pick one low-risk job. Pull invoices. Draft an email from a live page. Fill a form that isn’t your bank.

4. When the Cowork browser shows up, try handing off a web task and going to get coffee.

Here’s what you don’t want to do, from Anthropic’s own documentation: Don’t use this with sensitive data like banking, medical or other people’s personal data. The reason is, hidden instructions on a web page can still potentially hijack an AI that is allowed to click around. You’ll want to start this on sites that you trust.

This is not a new “smarter” model. They just let Claude click.

The AI Disruption Tidal Wave And How To Survive It

As Artificial Intelligence continues to permeate the world, we are already seeing signs of disruption about to happen. (Some industries have already been disrupted and will experience even more as time goes on)

While this is happening, I see lots of entrepreneurs just “doing business as usual” and carrying on as if nothing has changed. (or as if nothing will change)

This is dangerous and will leave a lot of entrepreneurs “flat footed”…

I personally went through an exercise recently to help me determine where AI can have a disruptive effect on my current business.

As an online course creator and software publisher, I believe these industries will be affected by the rise of AI.

When someone can just ask their favorite AI tool how to do something, and get a “super brain” giving them advice, even if that advice may be flawed, guess what most people are likely to do?

Rather than pay for a course that takes time to consume, learn from and act on, they are far more likely to just ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok or Claude what and how to do something. (Of course, some people will still value and seek out expert advice, but many others will lean toward the convenience of just asking AI)

This habit will become exponentially more prevalent over time to the point where people will just ask AI - similar to how people currently just ask Google.

Even software development is not immune.

Something we all saw as the realm of highly-trained specialists, (the creation of amazing software tools) will now be so easy to do - just ask AI to create the specialized, custom software FOR YOU and it will create it for you - and make it so personalized that no large company can complete with it.

When anyone can not only create software that is essentially “free” to them, but can actually create personalized software that meets their needs far better than an “off the shelf” tool, well, that kind of kills the software business, doesn’t it!

Now, don’t get me wrong, this process will take time, just like the internet revolution took time to evolve and grow to where it is today, but this revolution promises to grow faster and more thoroughly than the internet did.

So this is my alert to you - we must prepare.

You’ll want to take some time to think carefully about your skills, abilities, knowledge and likes / dislikes as we go into this major disruptive era.

The things that are valuable (and that people will pay money for) will be shifting in value.

Some of those products and services will grow to have even more value, while a lot of these products and services that are valuable right now, may not be so valuable in the future.

In my own personal search for “where the puck is going”, I determined that I need to make a pivot in my business to two things that I believe will maintain their value - and even grow their value.
