And how none of us PMs in the room seem to be doing the same job as the person next to them.

Evals are the least glamorous part of building with AI and probably the part that decides whether a feature survives contact with real users. Catalina Turlea, founder of Lovelaice, came to talk about exactly that: how her team tests AI features and what they do to keep them reliable, which is also the work they do with other teams building AI features. Judging by how long the questions went on afterwards, quite a few of us have been quietly wrestling with the same thing.

Thanks again to everyone who joined our last meetup in the beer garden. Great vibes, great conversations, and (unsurprisingly) a lot of curiosity around what’s changing in product as AI gets more agentic.

Recap: what we discussed at the last beer garden meetup

A few threads kept coming up:

• Learning from user interaction with AI agents: The big shift for PMs: we no longer have to guess what users want through clicks and rigid flows. With AI agents, users can state their intent directly - and we can learn from the interaction itself (and the outcomes), unlocking feedback loops that were previously hidden in classic UI analytics.

• Voice as a new UI layer: With better speech-to-text and text-to-speech, voice is becoming more than an accessibility feature—it’s a new interaction model. It changes when and where products can be used (hands-free, on-the-go), and it shifts the mental model from “clicking” to “conversing.”

• The PM opportunity: If agents become teammates and voice becomes a default interface, then requirements, onboarding, analytics, and trust all need re-thinking. We’re not just shipping features—we’re shaping behaviors and relationships.

Those themes are a perfect bridge to what we’re doing next.

About Agentic AI and Product Engineering - April’s Focus Session was a blast

Our April Focus Session saw a panel of Munich Product Leaders - Paul Indinger (CEO @ Building Radar), Daniel Benner (CTO @ Ayunis) and Christoph Berger (Head of Product @ Tanso) - speak about the impact Agentic AI has on their processes, products and organisations all together.

And without doubt, its nothing short of fundamental.

All three confirmed a clear shift: coding is becoming cheaper, but winning now depends on architecture, data models, trust, and strategy. The strongest insight was that “agent-ready” teams combine a robust core (security, compliance, APIs) with broad contributor access (PMs, CS, even non-engineers) - while keeping human judgment in reviews and product focus.

In short: AI speeds up building, but durable advantage comes from context, customer understanding, and disciplined decisions about what not to build.

🥹 About last Tuesday

Huge thanks to everyone who joined our February Focus Session: “Agentic AI for Product Managers” at BASE. It was a full house, and the energy in the room made it clear: PMs are ready to move from “AI curiosity” to “AI that actually ships work.”

The highlight was Julius’ - Head of Product Doctors @ TeleClinic - demo of product work with multiple, parallel-running AI agents that each take on a slice of the workflow. Not as a gimmick, but as a system: different agents for different jobs, with clear roles, handoffs, and outcomes. It was a really tangible example of how “agentic AI” can look in day-to-day product ops.

What stood out to many of us: this tech has become surprisingly accessible 🤩. Tools like Claude Code (and increasingly Cursor-style coding assistants) are no longer “future stuff” or “only for engineers.” They are readily available for real product work today.

I hope that by now the last of us are finally clocking off for the holiday and hopefully also for a longer end of year break! 🎄

Wrapping up the year 🎁

Last Tuesday we had this year’s last meetup at our favourite location BASE Coworking and took some time to reflect on the year and look at 2026.

With a solid 7.8 average on “How likely are you to recommend 2025 to your friends and colleagues” (which actually translates into an outstanding 100% Net Promoter Score 🤩) I think we ranked the year quite well.

AI proved to dominate our community’s minds. Even though - or especially because - this also comes with the challenge to learn new skills or avoid losing focus. However, I’m glad that the meetups seem to help us share the pains and gains and that the real, personal connections and insights allow for a healthy diversion from everyone seemingly doing a perfect PM job on LinkedIn. Notion (AI) for Product Management

I hope the 96 signups in the chart above suprised you as much as me. As mentioned in the last newsletter, I’m also moonlighting as a Notion Ambassador for Munich (follow our Luma calendar here).

Notion has been powering the Building Radar Product team ever since I joined the company and since my recent Bay Area trip for the Make with Notion conference in San Francisco I found just how much Notion AI has the potential to become my PM sidekick. We know that every AI powered tool today tries to make this promise but Notion - from my biased POV - is well set up with it as

• Centralized databases for users, companies, reported user feedback or user research help us stay organized ✍️

• You can get those quotes you are searching for from AI meeting notes of your user interviews 🎙️

• Product Requirement Docs mark units of work and help PMs to stay accountable on the achieved outcomes 💪

• Enterprise connectors to my Slack, mail and calendar allow me to uncover relevant information from my colleagues 🧐

• Personalized (and soon, custom) AI agents support you with all of this 🤖

It was great fun to demo how Building Radar uses Notion for their Product efforts to the packed room on Tuesday. It confirmed just how much the work as Product Managers is changing with AI (and agreed how well executed Notion AI seems) and how valuable understanding how others from the community manage their day to day with it can be!

I want to cross-promote these events coming up as I’m not only a Product Management fanatic but feel the same way about Notion (probably because it just is such an amazing product)! Make With Notion is coming to Munich!

Make with Notion is Notion’s own user conference which happened in San Francisco last month. I had the pleasure of spending some hard earned professional development budget to fly out and join the event - some impressions below:

And today, it looks like Notion has also realized Munich’s one of two Tech Hubs in Germany (I actually found out they recently opened an office here).

On 09.10., Notion will host its first ever Make with Notion Munich Showcase! 🚀

You can find all information about the day here, including speakers such as Notion co-founder Akshay, Notion engineers and other Munich Tech representatives.

I can really recommend checking this event out because I feel like Notion really has a shot at cracking the AI context game. Their new agents - fully personalized with multiple personalities (think CustomGPTs) - access not only your full Notion workspace but can also connect to Slack, Gmail and Calendar (or Notion Mail and Notion Calendar 😏). Plus their new meeting notes feature!

I am testing it fanatically right now and love how I can get all of that content from Slack channels, PRDs, presentations, mails and meetings together into one powerful AI.

In the Evening: Community Takeover 🍻

In the evening, the local Notion Ambassadors are hosting a Community Takeover to keep the momentum going. We are trying to build a similar community to what we have here with regular meetups and other events.
