i’m actively seeking the capital, land, scientific partners and interdisciplinary expertise to establish three pilot locations and test a six-part hypothesis:

Can deliberately redesigning the architecture surrounding us measurably expand human wellbeing, autonomy, creativity, connection and flourishing?

1. Human scale. Communities designed approximately around the Dunbar number, testing whether scale influences belonging, trust, participation and social coherence.

2. Sovereign space. A private room for each person, with larger configurations for children: testing privacy without isolation and belonging without dependency.

3. Ateliers. Exceptional shared environments for science, technology, art, music, movement, craftsmanship, food, reading, experimentation and intergenerational learning: testing what emerges when curiosity and creation replace institutional separation as organising principles.

4. 24/7 architecture. Access determined by human rhythms rather than inherited timetables: testing whether environments organised around agency, chronobiology and individual rhythms alter creativity, wellbeing and engagement.

5. Embodied sovereignty. Dedicated restorative and thermal environments for women, men and mixed use, alongside a culture of body literacy, boundaries and intimacy without inherited shame: testing whether architectural design can support embodiment, autonomy and healthier relational dynamics.

6. Stewardship. Animal sanctuary, veterinary care, biodiversity and ecological regeneration embedded into everyday life: testing what changes when we understand ourselves as participants and stewards of the living world rather than separate from it.

The three locations become a comparative, longitudinal field experiment: one core protocol, three different contexts, predefined qualitative and quantitative indicators, transparent data collection and independent scientific scrutiny. The purpose is not to prove an ideology. It’s to generate evidence, identify what works, discover what doesn’t, refine the model and establish whether it merits replication and scale. That framing is consistent with rigorous multi-site pilot methodology.

Three locations. Six hypotheses. One question: what becomes possible when the architecture is deliberately designed for human flourishing?

From familiar to compelling.s

The idea of a new world is deeply seductive. A new consciousness, a new paradigm waiting somewhere beyond the dysfunction of the present, as though we might collectively raise our frequency, develop sufficiently extraordinary technologies, meditate our way beyond what no longer serves us and find ourselves in a new world.

i’m not quite sure evolution works like this. We can’t create the new by gaslighting the old and i’m not here to pretend that violence, domination, manipulation, loneliness, compulsive consumption, disconnection from nature, dysfunctional relationships, institutionalised childhood, endless entertainment, technological saturation and our extraordinary dependence on external validation are merely unfortunate remnants of an epoch we’re spiritually ready to transcend. It’s all information, telling us something about the architecture we’ve created and, more importantly, about what happens to us inside it.

Acknowledging darkness doesn’t mean feeding it. Looking directly at what’s dysfunctional doesn’t mean identifying with it. There’s no light without darkness because contrast is how we perceive. We understand tenderness because we’ve encountered brutality, we recognise integrity because we know deception. We understand presence because we’ve experienced absence. Recognising freedom because we know what it feels like to be constrained. Darkness doesn’t need to become our identity, but denying it deprives us of the information it contains.

The old world isn’t something we need to hate, quite the contrary, it’s something we clearly need to understand. i don’t think any of us actually knows what a biologically coherent human existence looks like. i certainly don’t. What could we become under conditions more coherent with our biology, our nervous systems, our social nature, our bodies, our creativity and dimensions of human potential that our current architecture may barely acknowledge? What happens when we stop assuming that the way we currently live represents the inevitable expression of human nature and begin treating it as a particular experiment in how human beings can live?

We’re inside the experiment, having built extraordinary things through the mind. Science, medicine, engineering, mathematics, communication, infrastructure and technology have extended our possibilities. There’s nothing inherently wrong with this mentalising capacity. It’s part of our evolution. The problem begins when one dimension of intelligence becomes so dominant that we mistake it for the whole human being.

We’re not just minds being transported around by bodies, as Sir Ken Robinson 💓 often, joyfully reminded us. We’re embodied organisms with nervous systems, senses, hormones, rhythms, attachments, intuition, sexuality, imagination, emotion, creativity and an ancient biological relationship with other people and the living world. We inhabit male or female bodies, with all the biological complexity and individual variation contained within that reality. Yet much of modern architecture behaves as though our bodies are inconvenient vehicles required to transport our cognitive labour from one task to another. It’s mainly designed for human Doers as opposed to human Beings, thus modern architecture seems to have developed a rather peculiar relationship with the human body.

Watching small children before they’ve been submitted to how life is supposed to work. They dance and sing, run for absolutely no reason. They climb things, roll around on the floor, make extraordinary noises, laugh uncontrollably, touch everything, invent worlds, interrupt adults with inconvenient questions and generally demonstrate very little natural inclination to sit silently in rows for six hours contemplating information selected by somebody else. In fact they’re so apologetically authentic, i think it kind of subconsciously irritates us. Have we been educated out of our real authenticity? Have we been forged to fit such an unnatural mould that we fear questioning and prefer to repeat the familiar loops, of schooling etc…? Is this really convenient in the longterm?

When becoming civilised is invoked, we’re obliged to sit down, keep still, stop talking, concentrate and face forward. A process by now, extremely well developed, to unquestioningly make of us, cogs in an obsolete wheel.

Eventually becoming accomplished at it, sitting at school preparing ourselves to sit at work, sit for hours in means of transportation, sit in meetings, meet at bars and restaurants, and the three meals a day is worth a whole other chapter, suffice to say that i feel food may be one of our main addictions, we sit discussing our sedentary lifestyles and then, with impressive human ingenuity, drive to a gym so we can walk on a machine that goes absolutely nowhere.

None of this means schools, cars, offices, gyms or treadmills are inherently wrong. i use the absurdity because it reveals the question. We’ve become so accustomed to organising life around cognitive productivity and convenience, justifying our every action, that movement itself has increasingly become something we schedule back into the day. We’re multidimensional animals designed to walk, carry, climb, stretch, dance, build, play and move through changing terrain, we’re endowed with innate capacities we’re still to explore and reduce much of our daily movement through architecture and technology, we’re familiar with and then create an entire industry dedicated to healing, exercising and in which we are endlessly distracted from ourselves.

Maybe it’s worth getting curious about the architecture.

Children make this particularly difficult to ignore because before we’ve trained them into our rhythms, they reveal something almost embarrassingly obvious: being alive is intensely physical. They learn with their hands, their voices, their feet, their senses, their relationships, their curiosity and their entire bodies. The question isn’t whether children need structure. Of course they do, we all do in some form. The question is why structure became so readily confused with stillness, obedience and standardisation.

Flourishing isn’t about rejecting everything we’ve built, it’s about finally remembering who we built it for.

From remarkably early ages we learn to sit still, override impulses, obey schedules, perform for evaluation and accept somebody else’s definition of what deserves our attention. Eventually we enter economies organised around productivity, consumption, status and entertainment, and because almost everybody around us participates in it, the architecture as we’ve grown to know it, becomes the norm. However normal isn’t synonymous with coherent.

Our extraordinary capacity for adaptation becomes both our genius and our trap. We can accommodate ourselves to almost anything. We adapt to relationships that don’t nourish us, work that empties us, environments that overstimulate us, technology that colonises our attention, social arrangements that isolate us and definitions of success that may have remarkably little to do with being alive.

Accommodation becomes habit, habit becomes normality, normality becomes culture. Eventually we defend the architecture because questioning it begins to feel like questioning ourselves.

We can even relinquish things we once knew mattered deeply to us, lower our expectations and construct increasingly sophisticated explanations for why the compromise represents maturity. An arrangement can provide predictability without providing flourishing. A relationship can continue without intimacy.

Many relationships continue for decades without genuine intimacy, which may be one of the clearest demonstrations of our capacity to confuse continuity with coherence. Our existing architecture heavily incentivises staying together through shared homes, finances, children, social identity, familiarity and the security of knowing what tomorrow looks like. Stability has enormous value, but longevity tells us very little about whether the people inside a relationship are actually flourishing.

We’re remarkably capable of accommodating ourselves to what becomes familiar. Needs go unspoken, difficult conversations are avoided, expectations contract and parts of ourselves are gradually negotiated away in the interest of keeping everything functioning. What begins as compromise can imperceptibly become self-abandonment, dressed in respectable language such as maturity, loyalty or commitment. The structure remains intact while the individuals within it become progressively less sovereign and always more compliant.

Part of the problem is architectural. We receive enormous cultural instruction about finding a partner, forming a couple and maintaining the unit, yet remarkably little preparation for the far more sophisticated task of remaining fully ourselves while deeply connected to another person. Emotional literacy, embodied communication, attachment, boundaries, desire, conflict, repair, autonomy and the capacity to allow another human being to evolve are still treated almost as optional knowledge, despite being fundamental to the quality of our closest relationships.

Our biology doesn’t freeze when a relationship becomes established. We remain embodied, emotional, sexual and continuously evolving beings. Bodies change, desires evolve, circumstances alter, identities deepen and experience transforms us. Expecting an architecture created at one moment in time to contain decades of human development without conscious renewal is an extraordinary assumption.

This isn’t an argument against commitment; it’s an argument for a far more intelligent version of it. Commitment worthy of sovereign human beings requires truth, curiosity, communication, autonomy, responsibility and enough psychological security for people to evolve without reducing one another to roles. Endurance alone isn’t intimacy, predictability isn’t necessarily connection, and keeping a structure intact at the expense of the people within it cannot reasonably be called flourishing.

The more interesting measure of a relationship isn’t merely how long it survives, but how fully the people within it are able to remain alive, authentic and becoming.The sheer prevalence of separation and divorce, alongside the equally widespread tendency to remain together for convenience, security, habit or the status quo, should itself make us curious about the architecture we’ve inherited. Entire legal, financial and domestic systems have developed around managing the consequences: children shuttling between homes, families dividing resources, people downsizing into smaller and smaller boxes, or remaining in arrangements where essential parts of ourselves have been negotiated away simply to keep life functioning. Neither staying nor leaving is inherently evidence of success or failure; the deeper question is why we’ve become so accomplished at managing the consequences while devoting comparatively little attention to the emotional, relational and biological literacy that might exist upstream. If we’re serious about becoming sovereign creators of our own lives, our relationships cannot remain an architecture we inherit, endure or administrate. They deserve to become something we consciously understand, inhabit and create.

Schools function without cultivating curiosity, at some point the growing apathy and reductiveness in teens is undeniable. Just as economies can grow while consuming the ecological and psychological conditions upon which their own continuation depends. Healthcare is breathtakingly sophisticated at intervening downstream while devoting comparatively little imagination to everything occurring upstream. Modern medicine is one of our extraordinary human achievements, and precisely because of this brilliance that the contradiction deserves our attention. A widely cited British Medical Journal analysis once estimated that medical error would rank as the third leading cause of death in the United States if it were recorded as a cause in its own right—an estimate subsequently challenged and therefore not a statistic i would present as settled fact. The broader reality is sufficiently sobering without exaggeration: World Health Organisation estimates that around one in ten patients experiences harm in healthcare, more than half of that harm is preventable, and unsafe care contributes to more than three million deaths globally each year.

At some point, surely our intelligence has to become curious enough to move upstream. We’re extraordinary doers. We count productivity, transactions, growth, diagnoses, interventions, grades, hours, salaries, bonuses, followers and outputs, then wonder why there seems to be so little collective time left for the far more consequential conversation: what are we actually trying to create? Our relentless occupation with doing may itself be obfuscating the space required to gather, think, question and seriously imagine what our architecture could evolve into if its purpose were the flourishing of actual embodied human beings and the extraordinary capacities we’ve barely begun to investigate.

This is why i’m so enthusiastic about the possibility of a true Renaissance. Not another fashionable “new paradigm,” but the next expression of evolution: science meeting embodiment, extraordinary technology existing alongside nature, economic intelligence serving human development, medicine remaining magnificent at intervention while becoming equally ambitious about prevention, and education ceasing to treat curiosity as something children are permitted to exercise after completing the curriculum. The question shifts from how efficiently we can manage the consequences of our architecture to, how architecture might produce radically different consequences in the first place.

For meSovereignty sits at the centre of this, and i increasingly think we confuse it with selfishness. Selfishness can emerge precisely where sovereignty is underdeveloped. When we don’t possess a secure sense of ourselves, when belonging, affection, recognition and worth remain chronically unmet, we reach outward to acquire them through status, possession, control, attention, accumulation and validation. Sovereignty is something altogether different. It’s enough internal integrity to participate in the collective without needing either to dominate it or disappear into it.

Nature offers exquisite metaphors for this. Watch a murmuration, thousands of birds move as an astonishing collective intelligence without becoming one bird. Their coordination doesn’t require the annihilation of individuality. There’s no contradiction between sovereignty and belonging. Our challenge may be to create human architecture capable of holding both.

We’re nowhere near there yet, and acknowledging this is not pessimism. It’s where the excitement begins. We still inhabit a world in which one person’s financial activity can generate bonuses worth millions while another person extracts the physical materials behind our objects under conditions we would never tolerate for ourselves. We still display diamonds, devices and possessions as symbols of achievement while remaining remarkably incurious about the complete human and ecological chain that placed them in our hands. The point isn’t guilt. Guilt is rarely a compelling architecture for transformation. The point is consciousness of consequence.

If something in the chain diminishes another human being so that i can experience convenience at the other end, this is information worth having. If an economy requires us to remain chronically dissatisfied in order to keep consuming, it’s information. If healthcare repeatedly encounters diseases downstream whose upstream conditions include loneliness, stress, pollution, inactivity, poverty, food environments or social disconnection, and if education repeatedly encounters children who can’t tolerate sitting still inside the environment we designed for them, this too is information.

None of this asks us to resist the world, it’s asking us to become intelligent enough to read it. For things to change, we’ve got to change—not through another moral instruction to behave better, but by becoming conscious creators of the conditions from which behaviour emerges. Instead of endlessly asking people to become healthier, kinder, more resilient, more connected and more sovereign inside environments that continually undermine those qualities, we can begin designing environments that make these qualities easier to inhabit.

This is the Renaissance i’m interested in: not humanity becoming something alien to itself, but creating enough space, curiosity and architectural intelligence to discover capacities that have been obscured by the sheer business of keeping the existing machine running.

i’m interested in what might exist because we finally gave ourselves permission to stop, gather, question and create.

Just functioning isn’t flourishing and our ability to survive an environment doesn’t prove that the environment is good for us.

This is why i’m increasingly fascinated by what we call human nature. When we see aggression, competition, greed, domination, status-seeking, tribalism or violence repeated across history, it’s tempting to conclude: this is simply what we are. i find this conclusion intellectually premature.

We also contain tenderness, cooperation, reciprocity, curiosity, attachment, generosity, imagination, courage, empathy and an astonishing capacity to care for people we’ve never met. Human nature contains extraordinary contradictions. The compelling question is: which conditions repeatedly activate, reward and amplify particular aspects of us?

Some of what we call character may have begun as adaptation. A child who grows up in instability develops extraordinary vigilance. Someone repeatedly humiliated may become obsessed with status. A person whose vulnerability was unsafe may learn control. Someone who never developed a secure sense of worth may become dependent upon external validation. A defence can become a habit; a habit can become a personality; a personality can become a family culture; and an unexamined family culture can travel through generations until nobody remembers where it began. Then we call it normal.

This is why upstream matters, as does personal responsibility.

Understanding where behaviour originates doesn’t absolve us of responsibility for what it produces. Compassion for the origin of a wound cannot become permission for the wound to continue injuring everybody downstream. There comes a point in adulthood when understanding has to become accountability. The same principle applies collectively.

If an architecture repeatedly generates loneliness, compulsive behaviour, disconnection, ecological destruction, violence, chronic stress and an endless requirement for distraction, we should be curious enough to investigate the architecture rather than continually treating every downstream consequence as an isolated individual failure.

This doesn’t eliminate personal agency. It makes our understanding of agency more sophisticated. We love saying that people have choices, particularly in wealthy societies. Of course we have agency, but agency doesn’t emerge in a vacuum, as we don’t begin with identical nervous systems, childhoods, attachments, temperaments, resources, education, social networks, financial safety nets or opportunities. Two people can possess identical legal freedoms while having radically different capacities to exercise them.

Recognising this isn’t victimhood and freedom requires more than an unlocked door.

i’ve come to understand this through my own life, including through precariousness. From the outside, circumstances can be converted very quickly into judgements about competence, productivity, worth and success. Yet living without a substantial safety net also reveals things comfort can conceal. It forces questions about what we actually need, what creates dignity, what generates belonging and how much of what we consume is attempting to compensate downstream for needs that were never fulfilled upstream.

We spend extraordinary amounts of money and human attention on consumption, entertainment, distraction and industries designed to manage the consequences of how we live. This includes legitimate medicine and technologies that save lives, alongside economic incentives that can reward treatment more reliably than prevention. It includes extraordinary military expenditure alongside societies struggling to adequately resource childhood, community, ecological restoration, elder care and the conditions that support long-term human flourishing.

Acknowledging these contradictions doesn’t require rejecting medicine, technology, markets or civilisation 😆. It requires refusing to acquiesce merely because an architecture already exists.

What happens if children have considerably more autonomy, intergenerational contact, nature, movement, creativity and meaningful participation in everyday life? What happens to attention when screens cease to be omnipresent? What happens to community when elders remain visible and useful rather than being removed from ordinary life? What happens to relationships when emotional and intimacy literacy develop before shame has colonised the conversation? What happens to our nervous systems when our environments are designed around sensory coherence rather than perpetual stimulation? What happens when making, repairing, growing, cooking, building, dancing, reading, thinking and creating return to the centre of everyday existence?

i don’t know and it’s precisely what i'm committed to finding out.

What dimensions of ourselves remain underdeveloped because our architecture has had little use for them? What forms of perception, intuition, creativity, embodied intelligence, connection and consciousness might become more accessible under different conditions? What have we dismissed because we can’t measure it yet? What have we overvalued because measurement made it convenient to institutionalise?

For those who experience connection through meditation, consciousness practices, Pleiadians, Arcturians, galactic intelligence or dimensions beyond what our current scientific paradigm can establish, i’m not closing the door on mystery. Human history should have taught us enough humility to know that our present map of reality is unlikely to be the final one.

Transcendence cannot become another escape route. We can meditate on the Pleiades while failing to see the person sitting beside us. We can speak beautifully about higher dimensions while remaining unconscious of our own manipulation, arrogance, need for validation or inability to take responsibility. We can imagine extraordinary galactic intelligence while overlooking the intelligence already present in a child, an animal, a forest, our bodies and one another.

For me, especially as a mother, the most compelling frontier remains here. Investigate Being fully HUMAN.

What does it actually mean to become a fully multidimensional human being on Earth?

What does it mean to integrate intellect with intuition, autonomy with belonging, embodiment with consciousness, the masculine and the feminine, science with mystery, technology with nature, individuality with community and extraordinary possibility with profound responsibility?

For me it’s all about inhabiting more of our humanity.

Strangely, the very darkness we would prefer not to look at may be helping us understand the question.

Look at what is emerging alongside everything that appears to be breaking down. People are speaking openly about trauma that previous generations buried. Communities are forming across borders and languages. People who would once never have encountered one another are sharing knowledge instantaneously. There is renewed curiosity about consciousness, nervous-system regulation, regenerative agriculture, ecology, embodiment, community and alternative approaches to childhood and education. People are rescuing animals, restoring ecosystems, creating mutual-aid networks, questioning inherited prejudices and rediscovering their relationship with the natural world.

None of this cancels the darkness, nor should it.

It exists beside it. The same species capable of extraordinary destruction is capable of breathtaking tenderness. We’re both.

Evolution begins when we stop needing to deny one side in order to identify with the other.

My life has given me an abundance of mistakes. My circumstances have given me examples of what doesn’t work. i’ve made decisions that have given me consequences to examine. All relationships have shown me patterns i didn’t initially understand. My children have forced me to question assumptions i once carried unconsciously.

Mistakes are information. What happened upstream? What appeared downstream? Which wound became a defence? Which defence became an adaptation? Which adaptation later became a limitation? Which patterns did i inherit? Which did i create? Which am i still defending?

Evolution isn’t an immaculate ascent toward enlightenment. It is mistake, consequence, observation, integration, correction and another attempt. We learn. We get something else wrong. We learn again.

A seed doesn’t become a tree by protecting its existing form forever. Something ruptures. From one perspective it looks like destruction. From another, an entirely new architecture is beginning.

This is why i refuse to gaslight the past or the present in the name of some imagined future.

Acknowledging what has harmed us doesn’t mean remaining imprisoned by it. Recognising violence does not perpetuate violence. Naming manipulation doesn’t feed manipulation. Understanding dysfunctional architecture doesn’t mean condemning everybody who inherited it.

It means extracting the information.

The old world has brought us here. It has given us astonishing medicine, knowledge, technology, art, infrastructure and connection. It has also shown us the consequences of architectures built around domination, separation, extraction, endless growth, conformity, status and disconnection from the living systems upon which we depend.

Both realities belong in the conversation.

The work of creating something new is therefore profoundly unglamorous. Everyone loves the new paradigm. Fewer people want to examine the plumbing.

We have to investigate, and we have to be willing to discover that some of our most beautiful theories are wrong.

For me, this is not an abstract intellectual exercise. It is legacy.

Everything i write ultimately belongs to my children and to their children.

i would rather spend the rest of my life trying to understand how we might create conditions in which future generations inherit less violence, manipulation, fear, conformity, compulsive consumption and dependence on external validation, and more autonomy, curiosity, tenderness, creativity, psychological safety, meaningful community and freedom to discover who they actually are.

i’d like them to understand that acknowledging darkness doesn’t make them dark, that changing their minds doesn’t make them weak, that recognising the mistakes of previous generations doesn’t require hating those generations, and that understanding where something came from doesn’t mean perpetuating it.

i trust they remain radically curious about the magnitude of what we might be.

Open to the cosmos, yes. Open to mystery, absolutely.

But equally capable of looking another human being in the eyes, taking responsibility, recognising suffering, protecting what is vulnerable, caring for the living world and remaining sufficiently sovereign not to construct their identity from applause.

Undoubtably we’ll discover capacities in ourselves that today sound impossible. Maybe what we currently call multidimensional will one day be totally normal.

The new world isn’t going to descend upon us because we’ve learned the correct vocabulary. Nor will it emerge because we declare ourselves finished with the old one.

We have to go through it. We’re here to bridge this chasm.

Understanding what it taught us, including what hurt, failed, what distorted us and what was magnificent. We’re here to recognise what lives inside us. We’ve got to stop unconsciously reproducing what we consciously claim to have transcended.

The opposite of the old world isn’t the new world.

The new world is what becomes possible when we understand the old one deeply enough to stop repeating it unconsciously.

And the multidimensional human being i’m interested in isn’t someone who has escaped being human.

It’s who we might become when we create the conditions to fully inhabit, everything being human can mean.

She wanted to understand, from within something that many intellectuals of her time discussed but rarely experienced directly: what happens to the human soul when human beings are subjected to systems organized around force, necessity, and efficiency.

When she left teaching in 1934 to work in factories, she wasn’t conducting a sociological experiment from a safe distance. She wanted to know, in her own body, what industrial labor did to attention, dignity, thought, and freedom.

She later wrote that factory work revealed how easily a person can become reduced to a function, a number, or an extension of a machine.

For Weil, the central question wasn’t simply economic injustice. It was existential:

What conditions allow a human being to remain fully human?

Throughout her short life, she refused to normalize many assumptions that her society accepted without question.

She didn’t normalize:

• the reduction of human worth to productivity or social status;

• the idea that intellectuals could speak for workers without sharing their reality;

• the separation between thought and lived experience;

• nationalism, militarism, and the glorification of force;

• political ideologies that sacrificed individuals for abstract causes;

• the acceptance of suffering as inevitable when it was produced by human-made systems;

• the notion that efficiency should take precedence over dignity;

• the fragmentation of human life into isolated roles—worker, citizen, consumer—rather than seeing the whole person;

• the tendency to value power over attention, compassion, and truth.

Her curiosity was fuelled by a radical commitment to coherence.

She believed that if an idea could not withstand reality, then the idea had to change.

This is why she moved constantly across boundaries: from philosophy to factory work, from political activism to spirituality, from classrooms to fields, from intellectual debate to direct experience.

She wanted to understand how people think, and how environments shape consciousness itself.

What happens to attention when every minute is measured?

What happens to creativity when survival consumes all available energy?

What happens to dignity when a person has no control over their time, movements, or work?

And what happens to a society when these conditions become normal?

This is why i feel very close to Simone Weil, as these questions seem more than ever pertinent. Albeit we’re surrounded by distractions, Simone invites us to question our beliefs and the structures we’ve learned to accept as inevitable. She didn’t offer ready-made answers, but she refused to stop asking better questions.

Yet, looking back from nearly a century later, after a lifetime of observation, countless conversations, an enduring fascination with philosophy, mathematics, and the extraordinary complexity of human life, i find myself wondering whether many of our greatest thinkers, however brilliant, were still asking their questions too far downstream.

It’s time to rethink everything, and my curiosity lives upstream, beginning at birth with the biological human being. Way before we inflict the children with guilt, shame, taboos, fragmentation, and our opinions about life. When everyday is a new day, in respect of evolution and conscious change. It’s clear that the systems we uphold are called to be revisited, and very i’m enthusiastic about this and i trust that you are too.

“Instead of creating from our past expectations, where we create more of the same, if we’re in a state of fear, fear causes us to control and tighten down and when we control we start projecting our imagination into the future, and our imagination is built on the past. It’s when we can free ourselves from that dynamic and get into the space of receiving and allowing something new to unfold, that we can be in alignment with a new reality being born out of the best of ourselves”. What environments allow our innate capacities to emerge? What conditions support trust, curiosity, creativity, cooperation, belonging, and self-preservation?

Human beings are born to be in proximity, continuity, play, movement, exploration, interdependence, and meaningful participation within a stable community. (think Robin Dunbar community size)

These aren’t preferences, they’re biological expectations. And yet, from our earliest years, many of us enter systems organised around fragmentation.

We move from day care through school in strictly formatted realities, regurgitating information that has very little to do with our innate capacities. From authority to authority, from age group to age group, from one schedule to another, increasingly from one household to another, learning very early that adaptation is rewarded and that belonging often depends upon performance.

“Become somebody, get good grades to choose a career. Earn your place and justify your existence”. The hidden cost of this model is rarely calculated. In financial terms this is expenditure is immense, but in human terms: the loss of curiosity, the erosion of intrinsic motivation, the rising costs of loneliness, burnout, anxiety, chronic stress, and disconnection. We invest extraordinary amounts of energy managing the consequences of fragmentation while investing comparatively little in preventing it, and building systems to repair what our systems first disrupt. There are industries created around stress reduction while at the same time, we acquiesce to environments designed to amplify stress.

The thriving reality of courses and retreats to relearn connection after years of conditioning that prioritised competition, is quite telling, all created to rediscover presence after lives structured around distraction and unawareness.

We create endless layers of intervention for problems that may, in part, originate in the architecture of daily life itself. Who knows if our greatest inefficiency is economic.

For me we’re upholding some kind of script that isn’t in coherence with our biology.

A forest doesn’t educate its trees by separating them according to age and placing them indoors for most of the day. How much direct engagement with reality, not the man made systems, are we actually exposed to? This is why so many people sense that something is missing, even when they’ve done everything they were told, would make them successful. We’ve become extraordinarily skilled at acquiring external markers of achievement while losing touch with our internal capacities. We outsource our sense of worth to grades, titles, possessions, productivity, and approval.

We delegate our joy to future outcomes and we postpone our sense of enoughness.

Let’s remember that we’re already equipped with remarkable biological gifts: curiosity, creativity, empathy, imagination, cooperation, playfulness, adaptability, and the capacity to form meaningful bonds.

What if the central challenge of our time isn’t how to improve human beings, but how to create environments that allow human beings to remain whole and blossom?

What if the future of architecture isn’t simply about buildings, but about designing conditions in which people can experience the profound and embodied sense that life has our back?

What if our task is to stop expecting children to adapt to systems designed for another era altogether, but to design environments around the biological reality of who we can become?

A big question is: what must stop doing so that children can become fully themselves. Embody their authenticity.

For a little while, i’ve been absent from these pages. i’ve been editing, listening, translating, subtitling, and trying to find a voice that feels coherent with the questions orbiting in my minds eye.

i just created an Italian channel called Adesso Rinasciamo, literally translated it means Now we are Reborn, though carried into English it doesn’t sound very poetic 😆 It’s about remembering that life itself is a continuous process of renewal. Nothing living remains static, in this sense rebirth is our natural condition.

Perché possiamo. Because we can.

Human beings aren’t fixed entities. We’re dynamic organisms in constant relationship with our environments. We adapt, evolve, and unfold according to the conditions surrounding us.

This is the question that underlies everything i do: What does the human being need to flourish?

Having grown up amidst both privilege and dysfunction, i’ve spent much of my life questioning what’s truly necessary. The older i become, the less i believe the world is divided between good people and bad people, and the more i see differing levels of Awareness, inherited patterns, and environments that either support life or diminish it. Entrepreneurs who have a sense of leadership and altruism and those that just sit in circles of comfort judging everything without taking responsibility through meaningful action.

Most of us are doing our best inside systems we didn’t design.

School. Work. Partnership. Children. Productivity. Retirement.

One of the most profound losses of modern life occurs so early, up stream that we rarely recognise it. We enter the world with a biological design of belonging in it.

Our nervous systems aren’t designed for isolation, fragmentation, or constant transition. They develop through continuity, proximity, rhythm, and relationships that communicate a simple but foundational message:

You are safe. You are held. Life has your back.

Developmental psychologists call this secure attachment. It’s the embodied confidence that emerges when a child experiences consistent care, emotional attunement, and a sense of belonging.

Before children learn language, they’re already learning something far more fundamental: whether the world is trustworthy. Again, there are no villains in this story. Families do their best within the realities they inherit. But love alone doesn’t guarantee coherence.

When the architecture of daily life becomes fragmented, children may unconsciously learn that safety depends on adapting, performing, and anticipating the expectations of others rather than trusting their own inner signals.

Perhaps this is why so many adults carry a persistent sense that they must constantly prove their worth, remain vigilant, or manage everything alone.

What if one of the greatest responsibilities of any society isn’t simply to educate children, but to protect their innate sense of trust?

We inherit these sequences so completely that we rarely stop to ask whether they align with our Biology.

Human beings are among the most dependent mammals on Earth. We require years of attachment, play, movement, curiosity, exploration, and belonging before reaching maturity. Our first decade of life isn’t preparation for life.

It is life.

Of course, every stage of life matters, but those earliest years carry a particular significance. They’re the years in which our nervous systems are most open, our curiosity most alive, our sense of belonging most malleable, and our understanding of ourselves and others is being woven into place.

We arrive in the world as extraordinary learners. We absorb language, knowledge, and the emotional atmosphere around us. We learn whether the world is safe or threatening, whether people can be trusted, whether we belong, whether our needs matter. What shapes us most deeply isn’t what we’re told, but the environments in which we grow.

It’s not a question of money.

If anything, i’ve often wondered whether our culture’s preoccupation with wealth, status, privacy, and individual success sometimes distances us from the very conditions that human beings need most.

Bigger houses, more locks and screens, more separation. Each person in their own room. Each family behind their own walls. And yet, despite unprecedented material abundance, loneliness, anxiety, and disconnection continue to grow.

i’m not criticising comfort, nor am i romanticising hardship. It’s an invitation to ask a different question: what kind of environments help human beings thrive?

Having lived in places marked by profound economic inequalities, including Colombia, i’ve witnessed the paradox firsthand. i’ve seen lives organised around security, gates, alarms, and fear. i’ve seen how privilege can sometimes create distance rather than connection.

At the same time, i’ve encountered extraordinary generosity among people with very little. Clearly this isn’t a universal truth, nor a judgement on those who have more. Human experience is far too complex for simple conclusions.

But i’ve often wondered whether scarcity sometimes preserves something that abundance can inadvertently erode: our awareness of interdependence.

When we grow up believing that safety comes primarily from possessions, status, or separation, we risk losing contact with a deeper form of security, the security that emerges from trust, reciprocity, and belonging.

Perhaps the most subtle consequence of this conditioning is that it teaches us to look outside ourselves for what we already carry within.

From an early age, many of us learn to associate our worth with external measures: good grades, approval, productivity, achievements, appearance, income, titles, or the accumulation of things.

We’re praised when we conform, rewarded when we perform, and encouraged to seek validation through systems that often overlook the extraordinary capacities we’re born with.

Yet human beings arrive in the world already equipped with remarkable biological gifts. We’re wired for connection, we’re capable of cooperation, empathy, creativity, curiosity, play, adaptation, and meaning-making.

Children don’t need to be taught how to wonder. They don’t need lessons in imagination. They move naturally toward exploration and experimentation. They learn through relationship, imitation, movement, and discovery.

And yet, somewhere along the way, many of us begin to outsource our sense of value.

We learn to believe that happiness lies in the next achievement, the next purchase, the next promotion, the next milestone, we delegate our joy to external circumstances, postponing our sense of enoughness, and waiting for permission to feel whole.

In doing so, we gradually lose contact with our innate capacities and our biological intelligence.

We forget that learning isn’t a performance but an exploration. That mistakes aren’t failures but information, and that curiosity flourishes where fear recedes.

Our deepest sources of resilience, creativity, and vitality don’t emerge from competition, but from connection.

i wonder what it will take to remember what we already are.

Perhaps we’ve mistaken independence for isolation and have confused protection with disconnection.

Beneath the stories we tell ourselves about success, there remains a longing for something much older and more fundamental: to feel part of life rather than separate from it.

Beyond the walls, beyond the labels, beyond the endless pursuit of more, there’s a quality of connection available to us that feels almost magical, not magical in the sense of fantasy, but in the sense of remembering what we have always known. That we’re part of Nature and there’s a design we haven’t tapped into yet. Unless of course we’re part of some Amazonian tribe, who probably have better things to do than sit in front of a screen right now. When we create environments rooted in presence, trust, and care, something essential in us begins to come alive again.

And yet these are precisely the years during which we’re most intensively conditioned to adapt ourselves to systems designed around efficiency rather than flourishing.

There are no villains in this story.

Parents, teachers, and caregivers pass on what we inherited, often with extraordinary love and devotion. But love alone doesn’t guarantee coherence. Especially when we’ve all been exposed to dysfunction, dressed in the most diverse ways, often unconsciously, we begin to confuse being loved with being successful.

In the process, we loose contact with the extraordinary capacities we already possess: our curiosity, our empathy, our imagination, our ability to cooperate, our resilience, and our innate desire to create with enthusiasm.

When environments fail to meet our biological and relational needs, even the most well-intentioned systems can produce loneliness, anxiety, exhaustion, and disconnection.

Children enter the world with an astonishing appetite for discovery. They move instinctively toward creation. They ask questions relentlessly. They invent games, build worlds, seek meaning, and explore without needing external rewards.

Yet somewhere along the way, many learn to trade wonder for approval, curiosity for compliance, and imagination for performance.

What if what we call apathy isn’t a character flaw, but an adaptation?

What if learned helplessness emerges when human beings spend years in environments that reward conformity more than creativity, obedience more than inquiry, and productivity more than presence?

Buckminster Fuller questioned why so much human ingenuity is devoted to maintaining systems of administration, supervision, and justification instead of freeing people to study, create, and contribute according to their unique capacities.

What if the challenge isn’t that people have become lazy? What if the architecture is designed for productivity and apathy which in result creates perceived needs from lack. i see the teenagers hanging around on their phones all day, clearly access to a better architecture, in line with developing our skills, is very much called for.

Maybe this is why so many of us seek relief through distraction. We scroll, consume, and seek entertainment. We gather in places designed for passive consumption because meaningful opportunities for participation, contribution, and belonging have become increasingly rare.

We’ve mastered comfort, yet struggle with contentment. We’ve optimized convenience, yet seem deprived of presence.

We’ve become endlessly connected while feeling profoundly alone.

Recently, i attended a conference exploring the environmental and human implications of our increasingly connected world. i learned about the hidden infrastructures that surround us: the expanding networks of antennas, the energy required to sustain constant connectivity, and the invisible signals competing for our attention.

i learned that many LED lights produce rapid fluctuations in brightness that we often don’t consciously perceive. Researchers call this temporal light modulation. For some individuals, especially those with sensory sensitivities, these fluctuations may contribute to headaches, visual discomfort, fatigue, and cognitive overload.

Technology isn’t the enemy, it means design matters and it’s something that includes us all. Our nervous systems evolved in relationship with sunlight and darkness, birdsong and silence, seasons and stories, movement and stillness. Not with endless notifications, of with perpetual stimulation and not with environments that demand our attention every waking moment.

What if the future of innovation lies in creating environments more deeply aligned with the biological needs of the human being?

What if future generations look back on schools the way we now look back on bound feet or powdered wigs: not with judgment toward those who inherited the practice, but with wonder that something so limiting could once have seemed so natural.

Children don’t need to be taught how to be curious or instructed to explore, create, imitate, move, question, collaborate, or imagine.

These capacities are part of our biological inheritance.

The question, then, is not how to motivate children to learn, but how to create environments in which their innate desire to learn remains alive.

What if architecture itself became the educator?

What if our homes, communities, ateliers, gardens, workshops, libraries, kitchens, forests, studios, and gathering spaces were intentionally designed to support human flourishing across every stage of life?

What if learning unfolded naturally through participation, observation, experimentation, mentorship, and contribution, woven seamlessly into the fabric of daily life rather than confined to a designated place and time?

What if communities prioritized interdependence?

What if our measures of success expanded beyond productivity and accumulation to include vitality, creativity, connection, and joy?

Simone Weil’s unfinished work, Venise sauvée, asks whether attention can interrupt force. Because force isn’t always violent, sometimes it arrives as acceleration and as endless stimulation, or as convenience without meaning, and the pressure to adapt ourselves to systems that no longer serve life.

How many passwords, locks, surveillance systems, and layers of security can we build before we acknowledge that trust itself is becoming endangered?

How much extraction can we justify before asking what we are extracting from ourselves?

At what point do we recognise that our inaction, our compliance, and our passive participation may enable systems that don’t serve our highest interests?

And what might become possible if we redirected our ingenuity toward designing environments that cultivate attention, kindness, creativity, and belonging?

Yes, we’re not all meant to be BBF best friends forever, polarity is part of the game and it actually enables us who understand our tribes, thus Robin Dunbar is spot on with the circa 150 people we can relate to.

As i begin this new chapter with Adesso Rinasciamo, i am still finding my voice.

A few shares from the past days, and some thoughts that continue to unfold, because as you know, architecture, the architecture of spaces, of environments, of who we are or could become, is where where my fascination lives.

i was invited to a beautiful exhibition by Anna Grichting Solder, who held the space in a way that i felt as though i had been catapulted into aspects of the future visions i keep sensing and working towards.

We were all there, sitting together participating in something that carried a depth and refinement that i’m eager to share with you, in honour of the dedication Anna put into this happening. Under the theme of “borders,” she created something that moved far beyond them.

Through storytelling, poetry, singing, through the intergenerational thread that ran through the space, the artwork coming down from generations, including a wood-carved eagle made by her grandfather, holding within it inspiring craftsmanship, and continuity. There were chess boards gathered from different places, each one carrying its own history and textures, it was a passage across time and geography.

And then there was the attention to detail, the saffron and i believe rose, tea, the way it was offered, the way it invited us to slow down, to enter and to receive. She didn’t stop at presenting something to be looked at. She created the conditions for us to become part of it. There was a book, in an open space for each of us to write in and use the letter stamps and ink to express our own view about borders, she enabled a circumstance for our imagination to move, express and to connect.

This is where something very familiar resonated, because in a fractal way, this is exactly what i keep envisioning, spaces that call forth creativity, interaction, and presence. Intentional spaces, by design.

During the evening, i spoke with Lucie, an architect i met there, and we touched on something that i find important, the question of how we live, how we build, and how we organize ourselves spatially.

i mentioned how much i enjoy sitting with my mother, watching the Tiny House channel, not for the structures alone, but for the stories, the creativity, the individuality that comes through. i’ve learned a lot listening to the different reasons people decide to choose this way of living. And it was interesting, because this perspective wasn’t necessarily shared in the same way.

The point that was raised was that we can’t realistically have everyone dispersed, each one in their own isolated structure across vast land. Densification, in some form, is necessary. And i find this to be a valuable and constructive conversation, i always feel such gratitude for these moments.

Because yes, densification may be necessary. But then the real question, for me, becomes: Densification for what kind of human being? For what kind of life?

At the moment, most urban environments are designed with one primary assumption, that we’re workers and consumers above all. That we leave in the morning, return in the evening, and occupy spaces that are optimized for sleeping, cooking, and repeating, performing specific predefined roles within a determined structure.

Within these walls, we’re witnessing enormous amounts of domestic tension, loneliness, anxiety, depression, as growing patterns and not as isolated anomalies. Spaces that could be nurturing life often become, in subtle ways, micro-containments.

And i’m not interested in dramatizing this or remaining in critique. i’m interested in understanding how we move beyond it.

This reflection was also present as i visited the exhibition around Simone Weil, thanks to Alain, another of Anna’s guests, who pointed out the exhibit here in Geneva Simon Weil by Thomas Hirschhorn, and in considering the context of her life, her intensity, her refusal to look away from reality. She was, at one point, in proximity to Simone de Beauvoir, and we know that the circumstances of one’s life, including shifts in financial stability, exposure to hardship, intellectual environments, shape the depth of inquiry. i’d like to thank Gabriel Barta for holding the “Philosophical Desk” and in doing so upholding Simone Weil’s reminder that presence is the purest form of attention, and that attention itself is a form of love.

These trajectories are responses to deep reflections due to extreme circumstances. Perhaps what we often call extremism in thought is, at times, the natural consequence of perceiving misalignment very clearly and seeking coherence.

For me, this is where everything connects back to infrastructure, in the most fundamental understanding that the environments we design either support or work against our biological, emotional, and cognitive reality.

My vision has never been about simply encouraging individuals to “cope better” or “perform better” within existing structures.

It’s about asking what happens when the structures themselves evolve. i often return to Robin Dunbar and the idea of human-scale social groupings, around 150 people, not as a rigid number, but as an indication that there’s a coherence possible at certain scales that we have largely moved away from.

What would it look like to create real, lived environments, true experiments, across different locations, where around 150 individuals co-exist, interchangeably to avoid stagnation, within a thoughtfully designed ecosystem?

Where there is access to creative spaces 24/7.

Where ateliers, movement, music, mathematics, craftsmanship, conversation, and exploration are not extracurricular, but integrated.

Where interaction isn’t forced, but facilitated through proximity, design, and shared rhythm.

Where we also have the maturity to acknowledge biological realities, that some are born in male bodies, others in female bodies, and that instead of building layers of taboo and projection, we can create spaces that allow for understanding, respect, and natural expression of these dynamics, where we choose to cater for a Sovereign being.

And from there, we can move beyond inherited constraints, beyond prejudices, beyond fragmentation. Because ultimately, what i’m sensing more and more clearly is that this isn’t about fixing something that’s broken. It’s about recognizing that we’re in a phase of evolution where previous models have reached their limits, and new configurations are asking to emerge.

Spaces like the one i experienced at this exhibition are not just beautiful moments.

They are signals, precise indications of what becomes possible when attention, care, and intelligence are applied to the way we design environments.

And perhaps the question is not whether this future exists. But how consciously we choose to participate in bringing it into form.

Eventually we have to recognize that the volume of discourse around economics and energy often masks a misalignment at the source. When capital and attention are directed toward environments that support biological development and creative capacity, the costly downstream responses we’ve come to accept gradually become unnecessary.

We casually speak of “terrible teens,” attributing it to hormones and phases, almost with a sense of inevitability, yet when i widen the lens, i see that the signals begin much earlier, in very small children who resist these environments long before they have the language to explain why, and it brings me to reflect on the immense work of Simone de Beauvoir, who articulated with such force the conditions through which women sought recognition and autonomy, opening necessary pathways, and at the same time, there is something here that invites an even earlier inquiry, into the very conditions in which human beings begin their experience, because these younger children, placed into structures they cannot yet question, don’t express themselves with the same intensity as teenagers, and so their signals remain softer, often overlooked, and when we consider this alongside the increasing prevalence of what we now call neurodiversity, including autism, it begins to feel less like isolated categories and more like a broader reflection of how our environments interact with human sensitivity, bringing everything back, once again, to the architecture itself, and to the recognition that it’s perhaps time to rethink, with clarity and responsibility, the spaces in which we ask life to unfold.

As i’ve often shared in my writing, in my story there are no monsters, and what i’m seeing more clearly is a vast, almost invisible orchestration of systems that gradually invite us to numb ourselves in the face of what is actually possible, to shrink our imagination, to hand over our present moment to conversations and structures that feel far removed from our direct experience, and so this feels like a very real call to return, to gather our attention back into our own hands, to rekindle that innate capacity we have to imagine, to feel, to create, to remember that life isn’t something to be managed from a distance but something to be lived, explored, and shaped, and perhaps it begins in smaller constellations, in tangible ways, in spaces we can actually touch and influence, where we allow ourselves to play again, to experiment, to meet one another differently, and to step, with a kind of grounded love and clarity, into that creative force that has always been within us, waiting not for permission, but for participation.

And it makes me wonder what begins to emerge when all the energy we currently invest into upholding these predefined roles, as workers, as consumers, as functions within a system, starts to move differently, to flow instead into the unfolding of who we’re actually becoming, as coherent, creative beings, because in that shift something else appears, something that isn’t simply an improved version of the same structure, but an entirely new factor, a different quality of presence, of interaction, of creation, where life is no longer organized around maintaining roles, but around participating in a living process that is responsive, expressive, and deeply aligned with the incredible beings we’re yet to fully explore.

Do you feel that constant busyness, overwork, and digital distraction aren’t signs of importance, but symptoms of a system that has lost its orientation?

Have you noticed that being permanently online creates a strange paradox — hyper-connected, yet subtly disconnected from something more real, more grounded, more alive?

Do you ever feel that the way we’re expected to live — fragmented, scheduled, contained — doesn’t match the depth, curiosity, and capacity you sense within yourself?

Have you questioned whether many of the struggles we normalize today are not inevitable, but designed outcomes of outdated structures?

Do you find yourself less interested in analyzing what is broken, and more drawn toward imagining what becomes possible when conditions actually support human flourishing?

Have you felt, even briefly, that there is more to us — more perception, more intelligence, more connection — than what is currently expressed or encouraged?

Are you curious about what kinds of environments would allow that “more” to emerge, naturally and without force?

Do you sense that the next step isn’t self-improvement in isolation, but a redesign of the spaces and systems we live within?

And perhaps most simply:

Are you ready to stop adapting to environments that diminish you, and start exploring ones that expand you?

If human behaviour is largely shaped by environment,

then redesigning environment at the right scale should produce measurable changes in well-being, collaboration, and creativity.

There’s an undeniable signal emerging across the landscape of human behaviour, and i find myself increasingly attuned to it. It becomes visible in the exponential rise of micro-living, modular architecture, van life, and the global fascination with self-built environments. Sitting with my mother, watching hours of people designing and constructing their own tiny homes, what becomes obvious isn’t the aesthetic — it’s the pattern: individuals reclaiming agency over space, scale, and daily life. This isn’t trend-driven. It’s a reorientation toward coherence. In real estate terms, it signals a shift from static asset accumulation to adaptive, experience-centered environments that generate long-term human and social return on investment.

What i’m articulating isn’t a closed community model, nor a utopian abstraction, but a networked real estate ecosystem structured around three anchor locations, each calibrated to human-scale dynamics informed by the Dunbar threshold. These are not isolated villages. They are interoperable living systems designed with built-in circulation: core residents provide continuity, while a constant inflow and outflow of contributors, learners, and visitors ensures intellectual, emotional, and creative renewal. The value isn’t in the individual site alone, but in the exchange layer between them — the spaces in between, where new patterns, ideas, and collaborations emerge. This is where stagnation is structurally prevented.

There’s also something deeper propelling this vision. Life has a way of presenting the exact challenges required for expansion. Comfort, while seductive, often correlates with stagnation. Growth emerges through exposure, interaction, and movement. One question that landed with unusual precision came from my own children: “If we step outside conventional schooling, where do we meet other kids?” That question doesn’t reveal a limitation. It reveals the absence of environments designed for organic, meaningful human connection.

This is precisely what these locations respond to. They aren’t about isolating individuals into perfectly curated private worlds, nor about glorifying independence to the point of disconnection. They’re about creating coherent social ecosystems where children and adults can meet, collaborate, learn, and evolve within safe, stimulating, and intelligently designed environments. There’s also a range of phenomena that tends to remain unaddressed, almost as if governed by a form of silent diplomacy that sits just beyond what is considered acceptable to articulate in structured discourse. i experience it as a kind of societal blind spot, even a subtle form of stagnation, where entire dimensions of human capacity are intuitively sensed yet collectively underexplored. Whether one looks at teachings associated with figures like Mantak Chia, or at emerging conversations around energy, embodiment, intuition, dream states, and forms of perception that extend beyond conventional frameworks, there is a consistent signal: we’re far more capable than the environments we have built tend to allow us to express. What interests me isn’t the sensationalism of these ideas, but their integration — the possibility of creating spaces where these aspects of being human can be explored with clarity, curiosity, and without distortion or dismissal. Because at a certain point, it becomes less compelling to continuously analyze what hasn’t worked, to keep refining narratives around limitation, almost as if circling the compost of past structures, and far more coherent to direct attention toward what is emerging, what is expanding, what is asking to be lived. There’s something profoundly energizing in orienting ourselves toward that horizon — a kind of lived inquiry into what it means to fully inhabit our capacities, to trust perception, to engage with life as an unfolding field rather than a fixed script. And perhaps this is where the deeper invitation lies: not in rejecting what has been, but in no longer organizing ourselves around it, and instead allowing a more complete, more responsive, and ultimately more alive version of the human experience to take form.

The opportunity, therefore, isn’t simply architectural. It operates at the intersection of regenerative real estate development, hospitality, and human capital incubation. Land isn’t treated as a passive asset, but as an active platform for human development. Revenue streams naturally diversify across short- and mid-term stays, retreats, residencies, and long-term habitation. From this vantage point, certain inherited narratives begin to dissolve. The idea of “difficult teenage phases,” for example, starts to look less like inevitability and more like a byproduct of environments that restrict agency, curiosity, and embodied learning. When young people are immersed in ecosystems that allow exploration, skill acquisition, intergenerational exchange, and real participation in life, many of these patterns don’t arise in the same way, because they are outgrown by design.

i’m not approaching this as a theoretical exercise. There is a very real sense of alignment — almost like catching a wave that is already in motion. The enthusiasm isn’t constructed. It requires audacity, patience, and a willingness to invest not only capital, but attention and intelligence into a model that operates upstream of many of the challenges we continue to manage downstream. There is, undeniably, a level of play in this — the kind of play that emerges when we recognize that life itself is an open field of design rather than a fixed structure to endure. So the question becomes very simple: who are the ones who see this early enough, and have both the wherewithal and the inclination to participate in shaping it?

What is being proposed here is not a philosophical gesture, nor a speculative narrative about future societies, but the structured initiation of a multi-site, real-world experiment in human living systems. The objective is to test, under observable and repeatable conditions, whether environments designed according to coherent biological, social, and cognitive principles produce measurably different human outcomes compared to prevailing urban-industrial models.

In scientific terms, this document outlines a prototype research architecture: a set of controlled, semi-controlled, and comparable environments across multiple geographic locations, designed to generate empirical data on human flourishing, cognition, health, cooperation, and creativity.

This document isn’t a speculative essay, nor a conceptual provocation. It’s a direct, structured call to individuals with the capacity; intellectual, architectural, scientific, and financial—to participate in the creation of a real-world, multi-site human habitat experiment.

In such a setting, the rhythm of engagement is no longer dictated by external signals that interrupt momentum, but arises from a genuine state of involvement, where periods of focused attention, experimentation, collaboration, and rest are self-regulated and aligned with the natural cycles of the body and mind.

What emerges is an atmosphere that is both precise and alive—one that invites laughter, concentration, mastery, and exchange—where learning isn’t segmented into artificial intervals but flows continuously, and where the development of capacity is no longer constrained by imposed timing, but supported by access, presence, and the intrinsic motivation that comes from meaningful participation. The structure echoes pre-industrial guild systems and contemporary maker spaces.

Left or right, black or white, elite or oppressed, visible or invisible forces—these frameworks, in their current form, have reached saturation. They generate noise, not direction. Instead this initiative is rooted in a science-based approach, while remaining open, alive, and inherently human, carrying a sense of beauty and possibility that makes the process itself engaging, generative, and worth inhabiting.

It’s not as an abstract idea, i find myself drawn to it as something i recognize and enjoy envisioning, and if this resonates, it may be because the conditions are aligning for a more conscious participation in how we live, individually and collectively, with a renewed sense of responsibility, coherence, and genuine care.

This is an invitation to take radical responsibility, to step into a space where life is approached as something to be shaped with intention, intelligence, and love—making each step more meaningful, and allowing a different quality of experience to unfold.

Once seen, it can’t be unseen and life is too precise to be lived at anything less than its full expression.

And so i write from elsewhere, from a perspective in which certain thresholds have already been crossed, where what once felt immovable has revealed itself to be transient, and where the process of overcoming wasn’t a matter of force, but of alignment. A gradual, almost imperceptible return to coherence.

The intelligence of nature doesn’t negotiate with illusion, it moves, it adapts, it reorganizes, and in doing so, it reveals, again and again, that life is always oriented toward expansion, toward balance, toward a form of order that is both intricate and deeply alive.

In that sense, what we’ve called limitation begins to lose its authority. And what once appeared as an obstacle reveals itself, in time, as part of a larger process of emergence.

It’s unmistakable, through a shift in pattern, in the timing of emergence and in the reorganization of attention, the subtle yet persistent refusal of life to remain confined to conditions that no longer sustain it’s beauty.

Any naturalist will tell you that systems don’t argue with their environment. They respond. They adapt, reorganize, and evolve out of necessity. When an ecosystem drifts too far from coherence, it does’t negotiate its return; it finds it.

Geranium Robertianum

From calcined limestone and crushed rock, bound by water into artificial stone, a wild geranium reclaims its origin. Growing through the wall, as if the structure itself were only a temporary pause in nature’s continuity.

We were no exception.

For a long while, we moved within structures that, though familiar, bore the unmistakable signs of strain. Fragmented attention, and behaviours repeated beyond their usefulness. Entire loops of activity persisted, they no longer nourished life, systems called for re-examining at their roots. We scrolled, we consumed, we complied navigating a landscape whose signals had become increasingly distorted.

And yet life was never absent. It remained present in the body’s quiet resistance to what didn’t feel aligned, in a diffuse but persistent unease that could be sensed even when it couldn’t be fully articulated, and in the growing clarity that something, somewhere, had fallen out of correspondence with the conditions required for a coherent human experience.

As in forests after fire, or rivers after obstruction, a different pattern began to take hold. It arrived as a gradual re-attunement, a clear remembering of the conditions under which life flourishes.

From where we stand now, it’s almost difficult to understand how long we remained at the threshold without stepping through, and yet perhaps this too formed part of the process: the passage through imbalance that allows a system to recognize, with precision, what coherence requires.

What followed wasn’t a revolution, it was part, of conscientious evolution.

On the Quiet End of the Spectacle

There was a time, not so distant as it once seemed, and yet already carrying the texture of something strangely archaic, when we had perfected the art of looking without seeing.

We observed, commented, analyzed, and we documented, until reality itself became secondary to its representation.

Life unfolded as an endless reflection of reflections, a hall of mirrors in which each gesture was both performed and consumed at once. It wasn’t that we were unaware, quite on the contrary, we were often remarkably informed, but our awareness hovered just above the surface, a thin film that never quite touched what was being lived as a direct experience.

Some among us had named this condition long before it reached its saturation point. We had spoken, in different languages and across different disciplines, of spectacle, of systems, of quiet obediences so deeply internalized that they no longer required enforcement. We had pointed, gently or sharply, to the strange inversion by which representation overtook reality, and by which participation was replaced with observation.

And yet, for a long while, the naming of it didn’t suffice to undo it.

We entered this world as all children do, open, attentive, attuned, and were gradually initiated into its rhythms. Through a series of small and almost imperceptible adjustments: sit here, answer this, follow that, wait your turn, reproduce, perform, what do you want to do when you grow up? Our creativity wasn’t extinguished; it was redirected into normalized channels. Our curiosity was scheduled. We lived in the illusions of yesterday and tomorrow.

And so, generation after generation, a subtle partition took hold: between what was lived and what was shown, between what was felt and what was said, between what was known in the body and what was validated by the system and wrapped in diplomacy, in rebelliousness and constant ego judgment.

It was in this partition that a particular form of loneliness took hold, not the loneliness of isolation, but the more intricate loneliness of fragmentation and distance from our ideal living and behavioural patterns, connected with the intelligent design of nature. In a way it’s as if we surpassed our innate superpowers. We carried our questions as if they were singular, our dissonance as if it were personal, while around us the same patterns repeated with astonishing regularity.

There were always those among us, women and men alike, though not always equally heard, who insisted on returning attention to the essential. Some spoke of the banality through which entire worlds could be upheld without being truly examined; others of the necessity of thinking without the crutches of convention; others still of the intelligence of living systems, of design as the very architecture of behavior, not as ornament. We were reminded, again and again, that to observe wasn’t enough, that to understand required a form of participation that couldn’t be delegated.

And beneath, or perhaps beyond, all of these articulations, there remained a more subtle current, one less concerned with critique, it didn’t seek to oppose the world as it was, but to perceive, with increasing clarity, the discrepancy between what we were living and what was possible.

It was from this current that the shift emerged, as a gradual realignment of attention. We began, almost without noticing, to withdraw our allegiance from appearances and to return it to experience and to authenticity. We ceased to measure our lives primarily through external validation, and began instead to ask, with a seriousness that had long been deferred, whether the structures surrounding us were in any meaningful correspondence with the nature of being human?

This question, once allowed to unfold without immediate dismissal, proved transformative.

For it revealed, with a simplicity that was almost disarming, that much of what we had taken as inevitable was merely habitual; that systems persisted because they were rarely re-examined at their core.

And so, little by little, other ways of organizing life began to take form. Our environments were no longer conceived as containers of activity, but as active participants in our development. Children were no longer seen as future beings to be prepared, but as present intelligences to be met and learned from, integrated in a rising spiral of collective improvement. The artificial separation between domains, learning, working and living, lost its hold.

In this reconfiguration, something else dissolved as well: the peculiar sensation of inhabiting the earth as temporary guests, as though life itself were a kind of extended stay in a place that we neither shaped nor truly belonged to.

In its place emerged a different orientation, perhaps less easily named, but unmistakable in its effects. We began to live no longer as consumers of a world, nor as spectators of its unfolding, but as participants in its continuous formation. The question was no longer how to navigate within given structures, but how to align those structures with the realities of human experience in awareness, of the privilege of having a round in the game of life’s school, on this beautiful planet.

Work, in this context, underwent a transformation so complete that the word itself struggled to retain its former meaning. It was no longer the site at which we justified our existence, but the manner in which we expressed our placement within a larger coherence.

And with this, a certain excess fell away, through sheer irrelevance. What had once appeared necessary revealed itself as redundant; what had once been produced compulsively lost its appeal when it no longer corresponded to lived need.

The spectacle, deprived of our attention, didn’t collapse dramatically. It simply receded as all things do when they are no longer fed.

And in that space, something far more immediate became perceptible.

Life, no longer mediated, began again to be lived.

i sometimes imagine us like luminous points scattered across the map of the earth, not necessarily visible to one another, yet unmistakably present. Human beings who, in the midst of a turbulent century, have quietly refused to surrender the deeper knowing that something far more intelligent lives within us than the systems we’ve inherited.

We’re not a movement in the traditional sense, or a club, a party, or an ideology.

We’re people who have begun remembering, which often begins in the most intimate places inside the body.

In the heart that softens rather than hardens. In the brain that begins to question inherited narratives.

In the hara, that quiet center below the navel known in many traditions as the seat of grounded awareness, where courage and calm coexist.

Heart. Brain. Hara.

When these begin to align, something powerful takes place. We stop living entirely inside reactiveness to the turbulence of external events and begin to inhabit a deeper field of coherence.

And it’s not naïveté, because while we hold this awareness, we also see clearly the darker threads moving through the world. Wars unfolding, cities trembling, bombs falling, human beings caught inside cycles of fear and reaction that seem to repeat themselves across centuries.

We’re not blind to this, yet we prefer not to be opinioators feeding the dark narratives, and neither are we willing to believe that this is the final expression of what humanity is capable of becoming.

Beneath the surface turbulence, another work is underway.

Across continents, across languages, across cultures, many of us are beginning to orient our lives toward something different. We’re studying the intelligence of nature again. We’re learning how coherence functions in living systems. We’re preparing environments that are consonant with human flourishing rather than hostile to it.

Resonant with the deeper laws that govern life itself.

For a long time humanity built structures that contradicted its own biology, its own psychology, its own relational nature. Systems of acceleration, fragmentation, endless competition, environments that gradually separated us from the very sources of vitality that sustain us.

And yet the original design of the human being has never disappeared.

And in this remembering, something else is also being restored.

The long lineage of feminine intelligence that history often tried to suppress or ridicule. The women who listened to the subtle movements of life. The healers, the intuitive ones, the keepers of relational knowledge that could never be fully contained within rigid institutions.

Our presence was never a threat to life. It’s a reminder of life.

A reminder that human beings are sensing organisms as much as thinking ones, capable of perceiving layers of reality that become accessible only when attention softens and deepens.

In scientists exploring coherence and resonance. In artists refusing to produce cynicism.

In parents raising children with awareness instead of inherited fear.

In architects and visionaries imagining spaces that nourish the human nervous system instead of exhausting it.

And in many men as well, rediscovering that strength and tenderness were never opposites.

The renaissance that is approaching doesn’t belong to one gender, one nation, or one ideology.

It belongs to those who remember how to be human.

So even as the darker threads of our time continue to move across the world, we can pause for a moment.

A breath

A quiet smile that begins inside the heart. A recognition that across this planet, many others are breathing at the same time, holding the same orientation toward life.

Telepathy &

One image in particular refuses to leave the mind: Wallace aboard a ship in 1852, returning from four years in the Amazon, crates filled with specimens and notebooks filled with the patient record of observation, when fire breaks out and within hours the ship is burning, the accumulated work of years dissolving into smoke above the Atlantic, drawings and insects and careful classifications all vanishing into the sea, leaving him alive but emptied of proof. i imagine the strange stillness of that moment when the flames had done their work and only the open ocean remained, and i wonder whether the true measure of curiosity is revealed precisely there, when the evidence disappears and yet the impulse to observe the world persists, as though curiosity itself were less a profession than a condition of being. And yet even this fire wasn’t the full measure of loss, for he had already buried a brother in the forest and would later bury his six-year-old son, Herbert Spencer Wallace, named after Herbert Spencer, the thinker who coined “survival of the fittest,” a phrase so often distorted into cruelty when in truth it speaks only of adaptation to environment, of life bending in response to conditions rather than conquering them, and the irony that a child bearing that name would not live long enough to adapt humbles any simplistic reading of destiny.

Perhaps it’s impossible to read such a story without it touching some quiet corner of one’s own life, and as i followed Wallace through Sochaczewski’s writing, through forests and archipelagos and letters sent across oceans, another set of scenes rose unbidden, the early architecture of my own childhood where stability always seemed just slightly out of reach. What marked me most was not even the moments when violence reached me directly, but witnessing my mother being beaten by my father, an experience that doesn’t merely frighten a child but subtly rearranges the internal sense of how the world is supposed to hold together. A child expects certain structures to exist without question, i feel in alignment with Jean-Jacques Rousseau here, about us being born whole, and it being the circumstances that lead us into chains. So protection being perhaps the most fundamental aspect, and when that protection collapses the ground beneath long-term orientation shifts in ways that are difficult to articulate even years later. Looking back now, i suspect that it was less the violence itself than the constant emotional upheaval between my parents that destabilized my sense of trajectory, as though the map of the future had been drawn on paper that wouldn’t remain still. Now that i see a certain future, that of my mother in her elder years and witness the staggering disequilibrium of finances between her and my father, i see the indifference, the diplomatic behaviour as if everything is ok, and its what fuels me to better understand, our true needs and what aspects can be avoided. It’s a perfect fractal of a larger system that, is clearly playing out at its very worst, especially now with all the bombings going on around the world.

Life rarely unfolds along a single thread, years later another scene emerges, softer in tone yet perhaps equally formative, our two children sitting on the floor before a television screen while the voice of David Attenborough moves gently through the room describing a rainforest canopy somewhere on the other side of the planet. Attenborough was never simply a broadcaster; he’s a translator of awe, a patient interpreter of ecosystems whose gentle authority suggests that forests possess a kind of intelligence we’ve barely begun to understand. Through those programs the world of insects and rivers and migrating birds entered our living room, and for a moment the walls of ordinary life seemed to dissolve into a larger architecture where every organism was participating in something intricate and self-sustaining. My son developed such a passion for animals and specifically for ducks that by the age of twelve, he had a small colony of around 30 in my mothers garden on the outskirts of Rome. It’s perhaps no coincidence that Attenborough himself once described Wallace as “the most admirable character in the history of science”

It still eludes me that our lives aren’t organized around that sense of awe and observation, that our institutions don’t take their rhythm from forests or rivers, that children spend so many of their early years inside classrooms memorizing abstractions while the most extraordinary laboratory imaginable unfolds outside the windows. Yet modern life often moves at a pace that seems almost designed to obscure those relationships, replacing curiosity with performance and observation with competition. From an early age the quiet programming begins, grades and rankings suggesting that worth must be measured against others, that success is something accumulated rather than discovered. That “sixty seconds worth of distance run”, comes to mind again and again, and i’m not sure its necessarily a good sixty seconds Mr Kipling, when one is then captive of the illusion that being busy for being busy is a virtue. This coupled with continuous judgment that that’s just the best way things are meant to be and if one isn’t busy justifying ones existence then one is a looser. Old school programming is worth unpicking.

Wallace spoke against slavery and colonial exploitation, positioning himself uncomfortably within the social circles of his time, becoming quietly peripheral because his convictions didn’t align neatly with prevailing narratives, it cost him a love story which you can read about here:

and i can relate, when i question schooling systems that often condition children toward competition and compliance within economic architectures that may not reflect our innate curiosity or dignity, i’m interrogating design, asking whether we sometimes train adaptation to broken systems rather than redesigning those systems themselves, and perhaps it’s from slightly outside conformity that new architecture becomes visible.

From early schooling onward we’re programmed into graded hierarchies and silent competition, into the assumption that each of us must get on with our own thing, accumulate credentials, optimize performance, and quietly outperform peers, while kindness and altruism remain on the sidelines and vast assets remain hoarded and parked in systems that prioritize preservation over circulation, even though the redistribution of opportunity and curiosity could alter lives profoundly, and in such an environment loneliness, depression, narcissism may not be personal failures but symptoms of misalignment, evidence that we haven’t yet found our true forest, the environment in which the human organism flourishes in coherence with nature’s design. Distance, uncomfortable as it may be, can sometimes offer a vantage point from which the architecture of a system becomes visible. Looking at our own world from that distance, it’s difficult not to feel a certain astonishment that ecosystems like the Amazon must rely on fundraising campaigns for their survival, that individuals such as Paul Rosolie https://www.junglekeepers.org/ spend their lives asking for resources to protect landscapes that regulate the climate of an entire planet.

In a forest, systems cooperate as much as they compete; nutrients circulate through mycelial networks; protection is embedded structurally rather than left to chance, and we also require architectural ecosystems that allow innate skill and curiosity to develop organically for the good of both self and collective. Acknowledgment doesn’t mean stagnation. We don’t hold on to these things; we evolve through them. Growth is not erasure but integration. As environments change, so do we, because adaptation is relational, and often what we believed we needed to achieve dissolves when what we truly need to become comes into focus, and it’s also probably at hand and it’s about a sense of perspective, so the takeaway isn’t urgency but presence, not the relentless belief that we’re insufficient or behind, but the recognition that things are, in this moment, okay as they are. There’s a philosophy or a trend i don’t know but the name says it all: Unlearning

Sometimes i imagine how this era might appear to someone observing it from the future, a time traveler wandering through our cities and institutions and wondering how a ‘civilization’ capable of extraordinary technological achievement could organize itself in ways that endangered the very environments on which its survival depended. Perhaps the question wouldn’t be accusatory but simply bewilderment, the way a child might ask why a magnificent forest was replaced by a parking lot. Like in 🎼Joni Mitchell’s Big Yellow Taxi 🚕🎶

The thread of personal life continues to move through these reflections as well, because there is another truth that belongs here, one that’s both intimate and difficult to articulate: the experience of living far from my own children during years when proximity feels essential. The pain of that distance isn’t easily explained because it doesn’t arise from a lack of love but from the recognition that certain social and institutional structures aren’t designed to support the coherence that families require. Environments shape outcomes in ways that even the strongest intentions cannot always overcome, and if there’s grief in acknowledging this, it’s accompanied by my determination that such patterns need not simply repeat themselves across generations.

And yet the question of family itself lingers in the background of all this reflection, because the structures through which we expect human life to unfold are rarely examined with the same curiosity we bring to forests or oceans. We speak of the “family unit” as though it were a fixed architectural form, something ancient and unquestionable, yet if we observe the natural world carefully the picture becomes more fluid, more communal, more like the patient herds of elephants moving together across a landscape where protection doesn’t belong to one pair alone but to a living circle of attention. When i look back over my own path, i realize how much of it has been shaped by an instinctive attempt to prevent certain patterns from repeating themselves, to avoid the loops that childhood set in motion. Three months into the pregnancy with my son, when i approached the father, with the desire to communicate about our intimacy, he looked at me from head to toe with a kind of unmistakable disgust as if all of a sudden i was some other species of being altogether. The brutality that followed is what gives me the strength today, so my children or any others on my watch will never have to endure this dysfunctional behaviour. On both sides, permit me to be clear, there are no monsters in this story, only lack of awareness on all sides. It was one of those moments that rearranges the emotional landscape. What followed in the months and years after, often felt like watching the sudden alternation of two different personalities, something not unlike the old literary metaphor of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, where warmth in public could shift abruptly into indifference, communication could vanish into silence at home, and protection, which one assumes to be natural within family life, became totally absent. Looking back now, i understand that such dynamics are described through the lens of narcissistic behaviour, patterns in which maintaining a personal illusion can take precedence over relational responsibility, leaving others to absorb what might best be described as collateral damage, in my case it lead me to a psychiatric clinic and ultimately going through all the behaviours i thought would support my children, in not seeing me as a lonely looser, as best i knew, only to realise that i was just feeling more and more disempowered inside.

Perhaps that direction explains why i return again and again to the idea of experimental places, living environments where the conditions for human flourishing might be designed more consciously, where the architecture surrounding us offers the kind of protection that forests provide to the life within them. It’s difficult not to feel a certain irony in the fact that we now use an immense network of technologies, minerals, satellites, and digital tools to speak with one another across continents, to share reflections like this one, and yet perhaps that very complexity is allowing us to see the planet more clearly than any generation before us. Through these tools we can recognize the repeating patterns of our successes and our failures, and perhaps from that broader perspective we may begin to imagine new ecosystems of living, places where curiosity is cultivated rather than constrained and where safety and dignity aren’t privileges but structural conditions. If curiosity is not, indeed linked to a specific profession but a condition of being, then perhaps the task before us is simply to design environments in which that condition can unfold naturally, so that the next generations may grow within architectures that resemble forests more than machines, and may look toward the horizon without anxiety and with confidence that the structures around them are built to sustain a thriving life.

In this sense the work of redesigning environments becomes less an abstract philosophical project and more a deeply practical one, a question of how the systems surrounding us might evolve so that human flourishing isn’t an exception but a natural consequence of alignment with the conditions that sustain life. The architect and systems thinker Buckminster Fuller once spoke about the power of the trim tab, the small structural adjustment capable of shifting the direction of an enormous ship, and i often return to that image because it suggests that transformation may not always require dramatic upheaval but rather careful attention to the points where small changes can redirect entire trajectories. It’s also important for me to acknowledge the growing number of people around the world that are living in communities, the van life, in tiny houses, in minimalism, the world of unschooling and unlearning, of retreats and now i hear it’s all about residencies. i also learned recently that one of the most profitable businesses models is that of time share locations. This is definitely the trim tab in action. People looking to improve.

Returning again to Wallace through Paul’s writing, i feel graced by the realization that a stranger’s dedication to a subject can travel across decades to strengthen someone else at precisely the moment when that strength is needed. Perhaps this is one of the miracles of human culture, that stories and observations recorded long ago continue to circulate through the collective mind, crossing time the way threads cross on a loom.

Seen in this way, life resembles less a straight path than a woven fabric in which memories, losses, curiosities and encounters gradually form a design whose meaning may only become visible from a distance. The warp holds the tension of past experiences, the weft moves steadily through it with each new observation, and somewhere between those crossings a pattern begins to emerge. One of the things that appears very clear to me is that, unless we find the right combination for a fitting environment for our own development, dysfunctional behaviour might continue to thrive. My direct experience of the polarities of financial wealth and financial poverty, the desire to live in coherence yet the laws encumbering ones freedom, accepted and imposed by compliance are quite harrowing. This said, at this time, the dark threads are unmistakable, and i’m not afraid to play in full awareness, at this AWEsome game of life.

The day Wallace’s ship caught fire was the 6th of August, the same day my father was born 94 years later. Right now it’s the month of March and this whole story has gifted me with even more perspective, i’m facing imminent homelessness in less than a months time, yet in the spirit of understanding that it’s the dark threads that enable those of gold and silver to really shine in life’s pattern, i’m enthusiastically facing the unknown, as i’m pulled by a certainty that there’s a pattern in the telling. My curiosity grows, for things to change, things must change, even though it might seem to most that i’ve lost the plot, i respect my Hara (gut feeling), my sense of service to my children Hadrien and Alexandra and toward my mother, my own self respect and the greater good, which is vaster than my words can express. The Quiet Miracle of the Pangolin

The pangolin walks slowly, softly, almost shyly, as if it knows something we’ve forgotten: that gentleness is a form of intelligence.

It’s the only mammal on Earth covered in true scales. These scales are made of keratin, the same substance as our hair and fingernails, a molecular reminder that separation between species is thinner than we imagine. Eight living species remain today, four in Africa and four in Asia. Some, like the white-bellied and black-bellied pangolins of Africa, are expert climbers who spend much of their lives navigating branches under the cover of darkness. Others, such as Temminck’s ground pangolin of southern Africa, move across savannas and open woodlands, often sheltering in burrows originally dug by aardvarks or warthogs. Each species has evolved to fit its landscape with quiet precision.

Pangolins feed almost exclusively on ants and termites. They possess no teeth. Instead, they carry a remarkably long, sticky tongue that can extend up to forty centimeters, anchored deep within the chest cavity near the stomach. In a single night, a pangolin may consume tens of thousands of insects, playing a vital ecological role by regulating insect populations, aerating soil, and supporting healthy ecosystems. They are, quite literally, nighttime gardeners.

When threatened, a pangolin doesn’t attack, it curls into a perfect sphere, trusting its scales to shield the vulnerable life within. That gesture carries a symbolism that feels almost unbearable in its innocence: protection without any aggression, defence without violence, pure vulnerability wrapped in dignity.

To protect the pangolin is, in some subtle way, to protect our own capacity for tenderness.

So Who “Discovered” the Pangolin?

The pangolin didn’t need to be discovered. Long before Western science named it, pangolins were known to local communities across Africa and Asia. They were woven into ecological knowledge, oral traditions, and lived relationships with the land.

In 1758, the Swedish naturalist Carl Linnaeus formally described the Chinese pangolin in his landmark work Systema Naturae, placing it within the genus Manis. The name may derive from the Latin manes, meaning spirits or ghosts, perhaps inspired by the animal’s nocturnal habits and otherworldly appearance. Later classification placed pangolins within their own order, Pholidota, a unique branch of mammals with no close living relatives. Fossil evidence suggests their lineage stretches back tens of millions of years.

Where Love Becomes Action

This is where the Tikki Hywood Foundation enters the story.

Founded in Zimbabwe in 1994 by Lisa Hywood, the foundation was created in loving tribute to her father, Tikki Hywood, whose passion for wildlife profoundly shaped her life. Lisa built something living, a field of care, something we can all be inspired by. A place where compassion and scientific expertise could meet, and where species that were seldom seen and rarely defended would receive protection.

Over the decades, the foundation has become a pioneering force in pangolin rescue, rehabilitation, and release. It has trained wildlife professionals, collaborated with law enforcement to combat trafficking, worked with international partners such as African Parks, and served as a global reference point for pangolin expertise.

Pangolins arriving at rescue centers are often dehydrated, stressed, or injured. Their rehabilitation requires meticulous care, specialized feeding protocols and constant monitoring. They survive because someone remains present through the night, feeding them carefully, holding space between fragility and recovery. This kind of work demands scientific rigour and emotional endurance.

A Scientific First and a Symbol of Hope

In recent years, something extraordinary occurred under the care of conservationists working in southern Africa: twin white-bellied tree pangolins were successfully born and rehabilitated in human care, a rare and remarkable event given the complexity of pangolin reproduction and survival in captivity. The white-bellied tree pangolin (Phataginus tricuspis) is native to parts of central and western Africa and is particularly sensitive to stress. The successful rearing of twins represented a scientific milestone, and a message, reminding us that when knowledge, patience, and tenderness converge, life responds. Even species that appear impossibly fragile can find a path forward when people refuse to give up on them.

A Story to Tell a Child Tonight

Once upon a time, there was a small creature covered in scales like moonlit leaves. It did not roar or run fast, but every night it quietly helped forests breathe by tending to the balance of insects and soil. One day, humans began to remember that the smallest beings often hold the greatest responsibility. They realized that together they could create new tides in history, and they chose to protect what could not protect itself. From that moment on, the world grew slightly more gentle, and the children who heard this story grew up believing that kindness is the most powerful force on Earth.

Clearly, i’m writing as a human being who believes that love can organize reality, and if enough of us believe that together, the future might shift quietly, but it does inevitably, just like the slow, patient steps of a pangolin walking safely back into the wild.

World Pangolin Day is observed annually on the third Saturday of February. Because it follows this schedule rather than a fixed calendar date, the exact date changes each year.

The day was established in 2012 by the conservation organization Annamiticus, founded by conservationist Paul Thomson. It was created to raise global awareness about pangolins and the serious threats they face, particularly illegal wildlife trafficking and habitat loss.

Since its founding, World Pangolin Day has become an internationally recognized awareness day, supported by conservation organizations, wildlife rescue centers, researchers, and environmental groups around the world. Its purpose is to encourage education, advocacy, and conservation action to protect pangolins and their habitats.

One narrative speaks of a New Earth, a parallel reality where millions of humans will suddenly find themselves living in harmony, coherence and perfection. A planetary upgrade. A quantum jump. A new timeline. A new planet altogether.

Another narrative is: people actively stepping outside existing systems to build alternative ways of living, communities, eco-villages, intentional societies. i’ve spent years observing these models, studying them and visiting some of them in person, including Damanhur and Ananda, just to mention a couple. i’m an observer trying to understand what actually works, what doesn’t and why.

Then there’s another group, perhaps the largest and least spoken about, individuals who are waking up inside the system. Not exiting it or transcending it. Just suddenly seeing it. These people often feel disoriented, anxious, even frightened and often very lonely. There’s no clear reference point. The old map doesn’t work anymore and the new one hasn’t been drawn.

There are those who seem perfectly adapted to the current structure. Not because it nourishes them, but because they have learned not to question it. Total acquiescence. Automatic participation. Dolores Cannon referred to some of these as NPCs, Dolores Cannon used the term in a specific metaphysical context, but labels aside, what matters to me is not who is awake or asleep.

There is, however, another group that rarely makes it into these narratives.

Children.

As living, present intelligence. What i observe is that way too many children are subtly undermined, by adult preoccupation. Adults busy saving the planet, upgrading ourselves, optimizing systems, healing trauma, building visions, making money, escaping matrices.

All meaningful pursuits, and yet, while this is happening, children are often parked. Placed aside. Institutionalized early. Reduced to schedules, curricula, justifications. The moment in human development where the resource is at its most fertile, curiosity, neuroplasticity, embodied learning, wonder is all managed, standardized and delayed.

So the loop continues.

We grow adults who feel disconnected, fragmented, anxious, searching for coherence, and then we attempt to repair, upgrade, or transcend what was interrupted at the beginning. We try to fix downstream what was shaped upstream.

If we want to interrupt the loop, we can’t start at the end. We’ve got to start at the beginning.

First of all for being grateful that we’re beginning to see the elephant in the room, and not by adding more pressure on parents, teachers, or institutions, but by redesigning the environments in which early human intelligence is allowed to unfold. By recognizing that coherence isn’t taught later; it’s either protected early, or reconstructed painfully much later, but dare i say and i speak for myself, the ripple effects of generational dysfunction is seemingly unable to be fixed. This is mainly why i’m here writing and sharing my observations. i’ve possibly made every mistake in the book, i stand here saying STOP.
To my own children i say i’m sorry, please forgive me, (yes Ho Oponopono is a great tool) i was so hurt and broken and trying to keep it together on the surface that i was profoundly unaware. But now i understand. May all the darkness, be in service to fuel what’s right. And that my presence be in Service of all who can benefit from this knowing.

On another note, there are also people doing something quietly radical. People who carry their children with them. Literally and symbolically. Who integrate life rather than compartmentalize it. Who don’t outsource presence. Who understand, intuitively or consciously, that regulation, safety and awareness are transmitted long before concepts are explained. Seeing these sparks, fuel my enthusiasm.

i navigated with one foot in a world of intuition, meditation, breastfeeding for as long as seemed natural, just short of a decade, keeping as faithful to my dimmed heartfelt belief system, all while trying to keep balance with the other foot in the world of illusion. Funny Bunny. (This is also why i obsessively share the epic film La Belle Verte by Coline Serreau 1996) especially because it’s funny and what i feel is important, is laugher and joy in understanding ourselves and thus pivot.

There is yet another group that sits almost entirely outside these conversations.

The unseen tribes.

For example, those still living in the Amazon.

Entire human cultures, coherent, relational, embedded in living systems, existing at the margins of our global imagination. Not as mythology, but a present reality. And here, the incongruence becomes difficult to ignore.

We live in a world where the language of billions circulates effortlessly. Billionaires. Unicorns. Valuations. Exits. Abundance framed as accumulation. i observe this, and honestly, i ask myself practical questions too: who do i need to become to materialize money in a way that is overflowing, continuous and aligned, so i can actually walk what i speak?

And yet, at the same time, people like Paul Rosolie are scrambling, literally, to protect one of the most complex living systems on Earth, the Amazon Rainforest, and the celebration of two million raised for its preservation is treated as a victory. Two million. In a world where that amount is pocket change in the same conversations that casually discuss making billions.

i’m observing out loud.

If we speak so fluently about consciousness, awakening, coherence, collective evolution, how is it that the most sophisticated biological intelligence we know still requires heroic fundraising just to continue existing? Why is it even framed as being “at risk,” as though it were separate from us?

We understand resonance, feedback loops, cybernetics, systems theory, frequency, pattern, sacred geometry, quantum physics.

We’ve seen how sound organizes matter, how vibration creates form, how sand arranges itself into precise geometry through resonance. Cymatics. Divine geometry. Order emerging from coherence, not force.

So the question isn’t why the Amazon matters.

The question is how a civilization fluent in these concepts can still normalize the use of massive tools, extraction logic and domination language on living systems, while simultaneously speaking of awakening.

i’m sharing this as an observer, admittedly working on equanimity in the face of frustration. Because there are moments where what i see in my mind’s eye feels like a champagne bottle about to burst. Not from alcohol, from eager effervescence. From the sheer potential of coherence that could be embodied, right now, if dots were actually connected.

This isn’t about guilt, heroes or villains. It’s about alignment.

Because coherence, if it’s real, doesn’t stop at the edges of personal growth, spiritual language, or curated communities. It extends, naturally, to the living architectures that make life possible in the first place.

It all points in one direction only: coherence doesn’t emerge from escape, acceleration, or transcendence. It emerges from continuity. What matters is something far simpler. Across all these narratives, the New Earth, the communities, the awakenings, the compliance, the common denominator isn’t ascension, escape, or enlightenment.

It’s state. Human beings, wherever they’re placed, are ultimately navigating one thing: our inner state of awareness, coherence and aliveness in the present moment.

Some try to change planets or systems or change nothing and survive.

And this is where the real inquiry begins.

i don’t think we fell because we’re broken. i think we fell because there was something we needed to understand.

When a child falls while learning to walk, we don’t call it a mistake, we know it’s part of learning balance.

Maybe humanity is the same. To understand light, we had to walk through what we call darkness, and what if much of that darkness is only misunderstood light?

What if some of what we call light is only a bright illusion?

i often sit with this question.

i don’t experience life as scarce. Deep down, i feel abundance the way bees feel their hive, ants feel their colony or birds feel the sky.

They don’t hold meetings about meaning, they don’t debate whether they deserve to exist. They operate inside an intelligence that knows how to organize itself.

And i wonder, very simply, what if humans haven’t yet understood the natural dynamic we’re meant to operate in?

The structures we inherited, many of the systems we live inside were not designed for human flourishing.

They were designed for efficiency, production, control. Here as well, there are a number of narratives as to where the rot began, which are all pendulums, i’m not into feeding.

Schools as we know them were shaped for the industrial age, factories needed workers who could follow instructions, sit still, repeat tasks.

It’s all clear what the outcome of the rot is. Super compost.

Today, more and more parents feel it and that’s why people explore homeschooling, learning communities, alternative ways of living together.

We can point to these structures easily because it a reality that’s always more visible.

Some focused on catering for the few elite as in who has a lot of money, others find their likeminded souls and so forth.

But there are quieter things i question too, things we call “normal” without ever really asking why.

My small questions that open big doors, like why do we lock our doors?

Why do we build communities that include prisons as a given?

Why do we label children’s (…) creativity as disorders?

dyslexia, adhd, lgbt, tribes, groups, etc… Too many labels to mention.

What if these are signals from nature asking us to design differently?

What if a child who can’t sit still isn’t broken, just a dancer (Sir Ken Robinson, i Love you) simply responding honestly to an environment that doesn’t fit a living nervous system?

Each label shrinks us. We reduce something alive into something manageable, easy to catalogue.

i wonder whether we do this because it feels safer, than admitting we might need to rethink the whole structure.

Identity, borders and ideas we mistake for reality.

i live in switzerland and still, i carry a very childlike dream. A world of planetary citizens, not defined first by papers, borders, or bureaucratic identities but by responsibility, care and belonging to life itself.

So much energy is spent maintaining ideas, of ownership, of separation, ideas of “us” and “them.”

They feel real only because we collectively agree to uphold them.

When enough people stop believing in an idea, it quietly dissolves.

Sometimes i feel almost stunned by how much intelligence and creativity

we pour into maintaining systems that quietly exhaust us that are not only completely irrelevant but are total resource drains.

When numbers stop making sense, there are moments when the contrast is hard to ignore. Like i mentioned, i see people committed to raise a few million to protect entire ecosystems, forests, rivers, life itself. In many places.

Then in parallel, i see huge sums moving effortlessly in spaces of personal development, entertainment, prestige. i just participated alongside 2 million other people in one of these initiatives, last week.

i don’t say this with bitterness. i genuinely ask: what are we missing?

i believe most people are doing the best we can with what we know from where we stand.

Still, something doesn’t add up, our compass is slightly off.

Speaking as a mother

i write this as myself 😅 and also as a mother. There were moments when i chose distance, not because of lack of love, exactly the opposite, because i refused to pass on frustration, scarcity, or bitterness.

i didn’t want my children to inherit a nervous system shaped by a world, that i myself could feel was incoherent.

That choice hurt and it taught me humility. i envision a system of such beauty, such coherence, that sometimes the gap between vision and reality feels unbearable.

This text might be a rant, it might be a letter to myself, it might be something my children read one day.

What matters is that they know what i stand for.

Maybe we don’t have it figured out, and that’s okay, what if maturity isn’t pretending we know, but admitting we don’t?

What if instead of defending broken models, we allowed ourselves to test new ones?

Real experiments, in education, in community, in how we live together.

Not ideological wars, but gentle, rigorous exploration. Beyond the silos of helping just oneself and our homies.

What actually supports human coherence?

What helps nervous systems settle? Heart brain coherence…

What allows creativity, care and responsibility to emerge naturally?

i believe the next step is humility. Saying: maybe we were brave enough to fall,

and now we’re ready to understand how to rise.

Together.

With curiosity rather than certainty. i can’t help wondering: when birds shift direction as one in a murmuration, or fish turn together in perfect schools without command or hierarchy, what is the equivalent capacity in the human collective, especially now, with all this technology at our service?

i feel that if we carry these thoughts, these visions, and yet keep them confined to personal elevation or private worlds, we may unknowingly undermine the grand planetary collective itself and in doing so, undermine life, the universe, what some call God, not as belief, but as living intelligence.

It’s not our responsibility to change anyone. i speak only for myself. What feels true is the responsibility to participate, to become part of the compost from which something viable can grow. To let insight decay into soil. To allow coherence to sprout through example, through presence, through choices that ripple outward not as persuasion, but as benefit.

For that ripple to matter, it must be palpable.

Consistent, coherent, materialized in the real world, in how we live, design, relate, build and care.

So this is not a manifesto. It’s closer to a prayer.

May every war-torn area feel the quiet reach of coherence.

May every inquisitive mind encounter a version of this vision and refine it further.

May intelligence remember itself through continuity rather than rupture.

And may whatever wants to emerge through us do so in service of life, not above it.

That, for me, is what it means to connect the dots.

This isn’t the end of the thought, it’s a Loving invitation.

i will continue to walk this path, for my children, and for anyone who also feels,

that another way of living is not only possible but already emerging.

Here’s a hint:

Of course this brief exchange has been running circles in my mind for the past couple of hours and i’m here editing my article that i was preparing for the weekend, which caught up with me anyway. i’m delighted that my Mother is visiting from Rome, a small village some 40 km north of the city, but that’s a whole other chapter, at the same time i realise in facts how everything is really so connected. Maybe it was this event that was meant to happen, the lady at the supermarket, go figure, life’s quite a mystery, and for me, it’s beautifully surprising because, i feel everything happens for me. Everything is about our own belief systems.

OMG i said to her, if only i could go back in time and believe, feel what i do now, it would be a whole new ball game. Cleary it probably didn’t make any sense to her in that moment.

What i’d give to turn back time to be there for my kids. Instead of being the broken distraught, shadow of a person i was.

So, this article is for any parent or child who’s out there and has been victim to a narcissist, or someone afflicted by bad programming, yes we are all, ALL, in some way or other, pretty dysfunctional. This week i’ve been really into two people, Dr Ramani who i came across on and Solomon Asch on compliance.

Albeit i haven’t lived with my children for five years already, and i just put this together now, listing carefully to Dr. Ramani, she described all the scenarios, in detail. A responsibility i fully take, not being with my kids to project all my lack and frustrations onto them, in fear of them repeating the loop i lived through as a kid. i see the larger pattern. Many of us who fell into narcissistic dynamics were revealing the fault lines of a societal design that was never built for human thriving. i’m now isolated with my three dogs and thank god for Nature and (meditation) as i’m getting back on my feet.

Architecture, Love and the New Human

Listening to @Lewis Howes’ conversation with Dr. Ramani Durvasula, has me revisiting my story backwards, at minute 1h:17, when she speaks about the children. i felt a visceral reaction, a familiar wave rising from the gut, i felt like puking because someone just named what i lived. So much started coming back, though it was so distressing and isolating for years that i realise the gaps in my memory, she mentiond this as well.

i ended up in a psychiatric clinic years ago because of the exact dynamics she describes.

For years, i was praised publicly as part of a “beautiful family,” while privately being treated like an object, no intimacy, no care. The gaslighting was so consistent, so clean, so refined, that reality itself became malleable. A narcissist’s superpower is distortion of perception, of responsibility, of blame, of you.

The part that hit me the hardest is that, my story is almost a textbook script, totally predictable and predictable things aren’t personal.

Predictable things belong to architecture. i’m still wondering why and how all the traits are the same, all around the world?

1. The Narcissistic Blueprint: Not Personal, Architectural

When tens of millions of people can describe the same sequence of events, the same seduction, devaluation, triangulation, gaslighting, isolation and cycles of confusion, we must stop pretending this is just “psychology.”

This is systemic design failure.

Dr. Ramani outlines the patterns with surgical clarity and what became unmistakable to me is this:

Narcissism proliferates in environments that reward fragmentation, isolation, performance, scarcity and power asymmetry.

In other words: Narcissism isn’t just a personality issue. For me, it’s an architectural outcome. We human beings are placed in containers never meant for psychological coherence: the concept of isolated nuclear families, obsolete schools designed like 1800s factories, fragmented community structures, reductionist living environments, emotional economies based on fear, competition and scarcity, zero rituals of communal support, zero shared responsibility, zero collective witnessing.

Why, then, are we surprised that confusion, manipulation and emotional violence thrive in such spaces? It would be surprising not to find narcissism in them. i suggest we create a few Petri dish like locations to test my theory on societal dynamics.

In fact i’m quite enthusiastic about all this because, it’s clearly about evolution. We have so much proof of what ways, aren’t functional and the outcomes of bad programming.

2. The Personal Thread: A Life Lived Inside Faulty Architecture

i grew up with violence and dysfunction in my parents’ home, an environment where my father’s cheating and blame, indifference, the VIP role he played and my mother’s constant distress created an environment where emotional safety was more of a luxury instead of a baseline. i became a teenage Monster and now, i realise that it was due to the environment. It was therefore no surprise that, later in life, i walked straight into another version of the same scenario: A charming narcissist whose charisma masked emotional Brutality. There were moments so absurd they bordered on tragicomedy.

When my children were toddlers, he refused car seats. Instead, he taught them to duck behind the seat if he saw the police. i went absolutely apeshit every time, trying to insist on buckling them in and was met with violence, ridicule and more gaslighting. It was absurd, dangerous and surreal. Of course, each time i complained i was called “Pazza” “You’re crazy” the same as when we went for therapy, he convinced the physiologist that it was all me, my fault for having issues with my father. Which of course, i did and i realise that it’s manly because of him, the reason i stand for today, that i write about consistently, it’s about ARCHITECTURE for a new human, people don’t necessarily take care of people, i see this, but smart locations based on around 150 residents, each seen as a sovereign individual and called to thrive, having his/her own room, pod, van, tiny place whatever, but the human of the future is unburdened by the programming we’re living by.

Of course children today, grow up a in a fraction of their potential, because even in the very best case scenarios, the system isn’t created for us to thrive. Rather fit the success models of the illusions we adapt to. No excuses, we live in an amazing moment, everything is possible and i’m a cheerleader of this time and all our opportunities. However more than the joy, it’s the sense of curiosity that guides me in attempting to imagine, question and understand, what will it take for us to really evolve into heart centred, kind humans, in our full ability to develop our innate potentials, such as telepathy, self healing, clairvoyance etc…

The more i research, the more i keep getting; it’s about architecture. How we perceive ourselves, how we live in contact and understanding with animals and nature.

The podcasts i’ve watched about animal communication are pretty mind-blowing.

Now, back to the issue here, narcissistic dynamics thrive in environments without witnesses. In architectures where the “home” is enclosed, isolated and cut off.

In systems where women, i guess even men in some cases, are expected to endure, children to adapt and society to look away. But ultimately, the body keeps score.

Mine collapsed. i ended up in psychiatric care, and i wasn’t “crazy,” i’m not about to shut up and adapt, to submit, like so many people do and have for centuries! Noooo i cried, i was sad beyond what i can express here in words, betrayed, it was stuff, no one should go through and statistics, are showing its normal. This is why i’m adding my voice to those who are saying stop.

i say this CAN stop.

3. Schools: The Most Absurd Architectural Relic of All

One of the most shocking aspects, when one finally sees it, is how much we outsource to systems that were never designed for human thriving.

Schools and actually the whole system, i know so many people that are out of shape, lonely, have no physical caring contact and justify their lives because of their jobs. There’s a lack of expansion in the way we are adapting to a dynamic almost imposed by bad design.

Unless homeschooled and this is something we tested and its also growing very fast, which is telling about the other, only option children have for education, that of feeding the institutions modelled on industrial-era factories, where the norms are: obedience over curiosity, fragmentation over integration, memorization over coherence, competition over connection, isolation over communal learning. Knowing this we still, continue to funnel children into these obsolete structures and then wonder why adolescence explodes, why adults fragment, why emotional literacy is non-existent, and why narcissism has become epidemic.

The architecture is outdated, incoherent and promotes violence. and Bruce Lipton have been telling us for years: Your environment is the strongest determinant of your state of being. Well then, what are we doing upholding these obsolete environments? What are we doing living inside containers that shrink rather than expand us?

4. The Narcissist as Symptom, Not Cause

Here’s the part that feels revolutionary for me: Narcissists are not “the problem. They are evidence of the problem. They reveal where: architecture is too small, support structures are absent, communities are disconnected, families are isolated, emotional development is stunted, relational models are outdated, society rewards performance and punishes authenticity.

A narcissist is the predictable child of an incoherent system and those of us who fall prey to narcissists are not “weak.” We’re empathic. It’s worth me mentioning here that there is also a whole other layer to this, where the likes of Dolores Cannon and the spirit/ soul, reincarnation play a major role, so i’m mentioning this as well. Maybe things are just perfect the way they are, but the point is that once we become aware, we can’t pretend, there’s no evolving. The system is broken, the scaffolding of society itself is misaligned.

5. The Future: Clusters, Coherence and the New Human

The future isn’t nuclear families living in boxes, or schools that make children sit in rows, or isolated parents collapsing under pressure, justifying the situation because of work or communities fragmented by institutions and ideology.

The future is created by respecting clusters, coherence, individuals choice, everyone’s curiosity in the moment and access to materials and locations and groups that support that curiosity and desire to expand in a determined subject or skill, knowing that we are multifaceted, having communal support and privacy when desired.

Intergenerational presence, spaces designed for emotional intelligence. Architecture that supports sovereignty instead of eroding it. My certainty has crystallised:

If we fix the architecture, we fix the epidemic. Environments shape biology and psychology. Environments shape society, living here in Geneva i witness a growing number of homeless people on the streets and buildings going up all over the place, tons of empty offices. Is it just me wondering about all this folly? Full blown mediocrity and society in diplomatic silence and indifference.

The new human won’t be born from therapy in an endless loop of healing alone, but from spaces designed for thriving, from us standing up and no longer acquiescing to outdated ways of fitting in and shrinking into diplomacy, playing small roles in a bad theatre, thus enabling a future generation with a much more compelling narrative.

6. Why i’m Writing This: Because Silence Is Also Architecture

i understand the deeper pattern. i understand, how one can come to feel totally worthless. i also saw how my mother suffered, what a Monster i was to her, having seen how she let my father treat her for so long, it was terrible. It still baffles me how indifference plays such a strong role in all this. Of course i understand that we’re not really aloud to express this stuff or complain in any form because we’v been anaesthetised with people living though war etc… Then there’s the famous poem by Kippling If … if we can loose it all on one turn of pitch and toss and lose and NOT speak a word about our loss… exactly NO, it’s about speaking and sharing that we can connect and learn and grow out of isolation.

NO! i’m here sharing and i’m above all suggesting a solution like in all my articles.

3 model locations to create an experimental architecture to be tested, if it works, it can expand and the narrative of what is messed up and seemingly normal, will change. It is anyway, there are loads of locations that are around the world, communities and people there are thriving. This is not what i’m suggesting here, another community. What the aim is here, is to create a test for a more main stream design. i hear opinions and noise about political issues and complaints about this side or that, so it’s clear that we’re not getting any upgrades from politics.d i was quite shocked even listening to Elon Musk on Joe Rogan some weeks ago, when they mentioned and i learned about the homeless, zombie like population on the streets of San Francisco. They had no suggestions to turn this around but just spoke about it and about how the money to “support” these zombies is funnelled by organisations.

One person came to mind in that moment, José Antonio Abreu, thanks to who hundreds of thousands of kids living on the streets of Venezuela and coming from stark poverty, got a whole new life. José Antonio Abreu, gave them instruments and music and knowledge on how to develop their skills. i was lucky to meet him personally, i spent a week in Merida in Venezuela with them, i witnessed this success story first hand. i also met Gustavo Dudamel who emerged from this, El Sistema, the revolutionary music education program. i invite you to check this out. It’s uplifting and inspiring.

This also brings me to one of my favourite quotes, written in 1780:

“I must study politics and war, that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy; my sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history, naval architecture, navigation, commerce and agriculture,
in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry and porcelain.” John Adams

Speaking about the plan for the third generation.

My parents lived inside faulty architecture, theirs did and we’re the outcome of this. The cycle ends with seeing it. Naming it and redesigning it. “i thought it was just me.”

No! It’s not you or me, it’s the architecture. This is why i feel called to speak about this more publicly, including reading my Substack essays aloud on YouTube, that’s my next step to really start getting in alignment with my heart core share. Architecture.

7. A Closing Note and a Beginning

We need a new architecture for the new human.

i’m ready to explore it, name it and build it, even as a sci-fi tragicomedy sitcom if necessary, so we can finally observe these patterns openly, laugh, cry and learn through humour, what we were once too overwhelmed to see.

Which is why my compassion today is so present and my lack of judgment so intentional. i genuinely believe we all do the best we can, where we are, with what we know in the moment. However, the lack of awareness is off the charts. It certainly doesn’t help that, as Guy Debord and Mario Vargas Llosa both pointed out in their own ways, we’re living in a Society of Entertainment, a culture that constantly sedates itself. Netflix, endless scrolling, the five o’clock drink after work, the “let’s grab a coffee” ritual… these soft, socially accepted forms of numbing have become the architecture of normality for a reductive human being.

But how sterile is this, really?

How much of our human potential gets quietly dissolved inside these tiny rituals of distraction?

On a larger scale, our environments are built around consumption, sedation and repetition, not around development. Instead of infrastructures that activate our multiverse of capacities, we have infrastructures that dilute them. Instead of spaces that ignite curiosity, coherence and skill-building, we’ve got bars, cafés, shopping centres and living rooms designed for passive existence.

This is why i keep coming back to the same conclusion: genuine healing, sovereignty and human thriving are impossible without a radical redesign of our environments.

When the space is reductionist, the human stays small, underdevellopped.

When the space is expansive, coherent and alive, the human naturally rises to meet it.

Madam from the supermarket, you’re not alone, it’s not your fault, if you shift all the energy of feeling betrayed and hurt and find the strength to let it go, let him go and just focus on playing with your 2 and 4 year olds like you yourself becoming a child again.

It’s clear to me, when we feel broken, we just can’t see the purity and perfection of our kids in front of us, the absolute magnitude of expansion in the happening, unravelling at every moment. We’re blinded by our hurt, isolation, despair. This has been going on in loop, for centuries. This is why i call for better architecture to house Sovereign being who are whole.

The feeling of being drained and empty and alone, i know it’s real and you’re so absorbed in it. But it can be transformed, we can choose to change perspective. (This i got from reading Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl, a number of times 😅In the attempt to forgive myself for not having been the best version of myself for my children, forgive myself for having searched for support in boyfriends, not to repeat what i got from my mother, that all men are evil, and her never having partnered again and been in a constant of feeding the pain body. My father has always been indifferent and cynical, he’s had this role in my life to fuel me to never give up, so that future generations can have a different narrative. No one should see ones parents being beaten because they are stuck in a situation, bad architecture.

On a (Next Level Soul, karmic plain, i understand the we choose these roles to overcome our stuff) So i’m writing about my vision of the future, of how we might be creating better environments for ourselves. All my articles are about the same subject, architecture for an evolving human, one that’s had enough with stagnation and living small. We’re social animals. Why live pretending we’re not, that we don’t need each other? We do, our kids need us to stand up and do better, so they can live and profit from their innate gifts because the younger they are the easier it is for them to tap into their divine gifts.

It’s how we can change this narrative. Through getting out of our own way, being in Playfulness and LOVE and ultimately, create architecture for us to thrive in.

Helpful resources: Ho Oponopono and standing in a stronger Loving version of ourselves, letting go of all illusionary expectations we might have held. Become radically present in the now and see our children as miracles of life, as are we and the nature and animal world, the question is, what’s it going to take for us to become coherent with all this wonder?

It takes a lot for me not to fall into regret, so i share, in order to serve others that you may feel heard and seen and turn it around, sooner than later. The trauma was so intense, that for the first time i felt understood when i heard Dr. Ramani use the term: Malignant Narcissism.

My personal belief system is that, life and all the people and circumstances are present and happen for us. i’m actually grateful and even proud that i’ve gone through what i have and am in a good emotional state, concerning my kids, i just have to trust life. Maybe it's the best thing that they are living this polarity. At the moment they are immersed in a world of illusion and appearances and lets remember that the darker the darkness the lighter the light and one doesn’t come without the other.

i’m grateful for your presence, here reading this and i’d love to hear for you too, how do you see the future and do you get my picture on the architecture? It can be replicable and enables the dissolution of so many obsceolete layers, on all fronts.

For months i’ve been circling around the idea of finally showing up properly on YouTube, talking about the things i’ve understood, that matter even though i hear there’s nothing new under the sun and maybe everything we learn are recycled teachings, but maybe it takes walking though the fire sometimes that enables us to actually “get it”, that lived wisdom that comes from being kicked around by life and still i’m choosing to grow, with gratitude. i kept stalling and waiting for the perfect moment, the perfect lighting, the perfect angle. Should i do the videos in English, Spanish, Italian or in French? Should i create four different channels? basically to be ready, which is quasi madness, are we ever really ready? Meanwhile, the girls 🐾🐾 Daisy, Bella and Coco, have no such hesitation. They run, pause, sniff the wind, sprint toward joy as if it were oxygen. They don’t ask permission from the moment; they belong to it.

i kept thinking: How do i tell my children to trust life, to show up, to do the brave thing, if i’m sitting here overthinking my thoughts? There’s a point when you realise your children don’t listen to what we say; they absorb who we are.

So yesterday, in the middle of a field with the dogs zigzagging around me, i decided to stop negotiating with myself. i breathed in the cold air, promising myself that i’ll get the videos done. i was by the lake Leman here in Geneva a few days ago and i mustered up the courage to film something that came to me about Responsibility, the ability to respond to any determined circumstance or person. i filmed the video in Italian, because i feel there’s a lack of personal development content in this language, also because the kids live in Rome, i added French subtitles because something about weaving two languages together felt like an act of coherence. Also it’s great for me to improve my written French so, voilà, i spoke about responsibility, not in the harsh, moralistic sense we grew up with, but as la capacità di rispondere. The ability to pause for just one second before reacting and to feel, even briefly, grateful for the opportunity the moment is giving me to expand my vessel. (gratitude here to and his courses)

It wasn’t perfect by any means, the sunset was on my side, as well as the swans that were on the grass where i was walking, of course as long as i’m connecting to Nature, i’m good! i felt present, honest and i felt like i was finally doing the work i’d been avoiding.

Clearly, because life’s got a great sense of humour, the second video i filmed came out slightly out of focus. Normally, that would have been enough to send me back into paralysis. However before i could even think twice about it, up pops a video again by the Ghiyam chap, saying, we delay the expansion of our vessel if we create too much of a time lag, we must keep up the momentum, or something along these lines. Ok so instead of second guessing myself, i just added playful subtitles to distract from the blur. i smiled at my own humanity instead of apologising for it. The topic was how gratitude dissolves fear and ironically, posting that imperfect, fuzzy video became my own proof of the concept. i’m very grateful i put it together and pressed publish, i’m grateful to have taken a step, grateful that courage felt more important than clarity and the fear simply… dissolved. It had nothing left to hold on to.

So after the walk with Daisy racing ahead, Bella trotting beside me and Coco proudly carrying her stick, something dropped into place. For years i’ve believed, deeply, fiercely, that education isn’t what we’re necessarily taught, but what we embody. That new human development has nothing to do with what schools or institutions teach us, but it’s in grasping the fact that we’re made to expand, that all the mistakes and heartaches are gifts, they start to fine-tune our choices, our small daily gestures into always more coherence and awareness. We can’t talk about personal evolution while refusing to confront our own avoidance. We can’t preach courage to our children while hiding from our own voice, nor can we invite others into authenticity while editing ourselves into silence.

Obviously i’m being a bit simplistic about education but looking at the wold there’s so much knowledge and i ask at what point does wisdom catch up?

Today felt like the beginning of a different kind of education, of course a big shoutout to the editing tutorials : ) and the skills that i’m improving, it was a deeper kind of thing, like hmmm this isn’t coming from what i know, it’s actually the result of getting out of my own way.

What truly matters in this lifetime isn’t how polished we are, but how connected and how honest our presence is. i guess its also, not about how much we know, but how much we respond to life when it knocks and we all know, it can knock quite hard!
Everything that’s truly worth understanding is already inside us.
The keys are internal, we’re the doors and courage is ours to claim.

Tonight, as i look at the two videos i uploaded, one clear, one blurry, but both authentic and yes, i feel a gentle pride, especially because i didn’t fall into my own, usual perfectionism trap!!! As i’m writing this i kind of feel that i finally stopped delaying my life, or at least, becoming a YouTuber 🤣

Maybe this is what it means to start living from the inside out, it’s me aligning a little more with real activism and the real contribution: to show up imperfectly, powerfully and gratefully and in doing so, dissolve a little fear in the world.

Now back to some editing tutorials. This is actually pretty exciting.

Thinking i could suggest a plan, instead of following my gut vision, that of creating the three futuristic villages i keep going on and on about in all my articles here.

je ne sais pas exactement quand c’est arrivé, mais quelque part entre lancer le frisbee pour Bella, rappeler Daisy qui fouillait dans les buissons à la recherche de petites souris des champs et essayer de convaincre Coco qu’elle n’a vraiment pas besoin de ramener une autre branche deux fois sa taille, j’ai réalisé que je n’avais plus aucune excuse.

Pendant des mois, j’ai tourné autour de l’idée de enfin me montrer correctement sur YouTube, parler des choses que j’ai comprises, qui comptent vraiment, même si j’entends souvent qu’il n’y a rien de nouveau sous le soleil et que peut-être tout ce que nous apprenons n’est que sagesse recyclée… mais peut-être qu’il faut parfois traverser le feu pour réellement “comprendre”, pour intégrer cette sagesse vécue qui naît des coups de la vie, et malgré tout, je choisis encore de grandir, avec gratitude. je remettais tout à plus tard en attendant le moment parfait, la lumière parfaite, l’angle parfait. Devrais-je faire les vidéos en anglais, en espagnol, en italien ou en français ? Créer quatre chaînes différentes ? En gros, attendre d’être prête — ce qui est une quasi-folie. Sommes-nous jamais vraiment prêts ? Pendant ce temps, les filles 🐾🐾 Daisy, Bella et Coco, elles, n’hésitent jamais. Elles courent, s’arrêtent, sentent le vent, foncent vers la joie comme si c’était de l’oxygène. Elles ne demandent pas la permission au moment ; elles en font partie.

je n’arrêtais pas de penser : Comment puis-je dire à mes enfants d’avoir confiance en la vie, de se montrer, de faire preuve de courage, si moi je reste là à trop penser à mes pensées ? Il arrive un moment où l’on réalise que nos enfants n’écoutent pas ce que nous disons ; ils absorbent ce que nous sommes.

Alors hier, au milieu d’un champ, avec les chiens qui zigzaguaient autour de moi, j’ai décidé d’arrêter de négocier avec moi-même. j’ai respiré l’air froid, me promettant de faire ces vidéos. j’étais au bord du lac Léman, ici à Genève, il y a quelques jours, et j’ai trouvé le courage de filmer quelque chose qui m’est venu sur la Responsabilité : la capacité de répondre à toute circonstance ou personne. j’ai filmé la vidéo en italien, parce que je sens qu’il manque du contenu de développement personnel dans cette langue, et aussi parce que les enfants vivent à Rome. j’ai ajouté des sous-titres en français car tisser deux langues ensemble m’a semblé un acte de cohérence. Et en plus, c’est parfait pour améliorer mon français écrit, donc voilà. j’ai parlé de la responsabilité, non pas dans le sens dur et moralisateur avec lequel nous avons grandi, mais comme la capacità di rispondere. La capacité de faire une pause d’une seconde avant de réagir, et de ressentir, même brièvement, de la gratitude pour l’opportunité que le moment m’offre d’élargir mon propre récipient. Ce n’était pas parfait, loin de là. Mais le coucher du soleil était avec moi, tout comme les cygnes sur l’herbe où je marchais. Évidemment, dès que je suis connectée à la Nature, tout va bien pour moi ! je me suis sentie présente, honnête, et j’ai eu l’impression de faire enfin le travail que j’avais évité.

Évidemment, comme la vie a un grand sens de l’humour, la deuxième vidéo que j’ai filmée est sortie légèrement floue. Normalement, cela aurait suffi à me replonger dans la paralysie. Et avant même d’y penser deux fois, voilà qu’apparaît une autre vidéo de ce fameux Ghiyam disant que nous retardons l’expansion de notre récipient si nous créons trop de décalage dans le temps, que nous devons garder l’élan, ou quelque chose dans ce genre. Alors au lieu de me remettre en question, j’ai ajouté des sous-titres ludiques pour distraire du flou. j’ai souri à mon humanité au lieu de m’en excuser. Le sujet était comment la gratitude dissout la peur et, ironiquement, poster cette vidéo imparfaite et floue est devenu ma propre preuve du concept. je suis très reconnaissante de l’avoir montée et publiée, reconnaissante d’avoir fait un pas, reconnaissante que le courage ait été plus important que la clarté — et la peur s’est simplement… dissoute. Elle n’avait plus rien à quoi s’accrocher.

Après la promenade, avec Daisy qui courait devant, Bella qui trottinait à côté de moi et Coco qui portait fièrement son bâton, quelque chose est tombé en place. Depuis des années, je crois profondément, farouchement, que l’éducation n’est pas ce qu’on nous enseigne, mais ce que nous incarnons. Que le développement du nouvel humain n’a rien à voir avec ce que les écoles ou institutions enseignent, mais avec le fait de comprendre que nous sommes faits pour nous étendre, que toutes nos erreurs et chagrins sont des cadeaux qui affinent nos choix, nos petits gestes quotidiens, vers toujours plus de cohérence et de conscience. On ne peut pas parler d’évolution personnelle en refusant de regarder nos propres évitements. On ne peut pas prêcher le courage à nos enfants tout en cachant notre propre voix. On ne peut pas inviter les autres à l’authenticité tout en nous éditant jusqu’au silence.

Bien sûr je simplifie un peu la question de l’éducation, mais quand je regarde le monde avec toute cette connaissance, je me demande : à quel moment la sagesse rattrape-t-elle ?

Aujourd’hui a ressemblé au début d’une autre forme d’éducation. Bien sûr, un grand merci aux tutoriels de montage : ) et aux compétences que je développe — mais c’était quelque chose de plus profond. Comme si cela ne venait pas de ce que je sais, mais du fait que j’ai enfin arrêté de me mettre sur mon propre chemin.

Ce qui compte vraiment dans cette vie n’est pas à quel point nous sommes polis, mais à quel point nous sommes connectés, à quel point notre présence est honnête. je pense aussi que ce n’est pas tant ce que nous savons, mais comment nous répondons à la vie quand elle frappe — et nous savons tous qu’elle peut frapper fort ! Tout ce qui vaut vraiment la peine d’être compris est déjà en nous. Les clés sont internes, nous sommes les portes, et le courage est à nous de le revendiquer.

Ce soir, en regardant les deux vidéos que j’ai téléchargées, l’une nette, l’autre floue, mais toutes deux authentiques, oui, je ressens une douce fierté, surtout parce que je ne suis pas tombée dans mon piège habituel du perfectionnisme !!! En écrivant ceci, je sens que j’ai enfin arrêté de retarder ma vie, ou du moins… de devenir une YouTubeuse 🤣

Peut-être que c’est ça, commencer à vivre de l’intérieur vers l’extérieur, m’aligner un peu plus avec le véritable activisme et la véritable contribution : me montrer imparfaite, puissante et reconnaissante et, ce faisant, dissoudre un peu de peur dans le monde.

Maintenant, retour aux tutoriels de montage. C’est en fait assez excitant.

Per mesi ho girato intorno all’idea di mostrarmi finalmente in modo autentico su YouTube, parlando delle cose che ho compreso, di ciò che conta davvero, anche se sento dire che non c’è nulla di nuovo sotto il sole e che forse tutto ciò che impariamo è saggezza riciclata… ma forse bisogna attraversare il fuoco per davvero “capirlo”, per incarnare quella saggezza vissuta che nasce dai colpi della vita e dal continuo scegliere di crescere, con gratitudine. Continuavo a rimandare, aspettando il momento perfetto, la luce perfetta, l’angolazione perfetta. Devo fare i video in inglese, spagnolo, italiano o francese? Devo creare quattro canali diversi? In pratica, aspettare di essere pronta — che è quasi follia. Siamo mai davvero pronti? Nel frattempo, le ragazze 🐾🐾 Daisy, Bella e Coco non esitano mai. Corrono, si fermano, annusano il vento, si lanciano verso la gioia come se fosse ossigeno. Non chiedono il permesso al momento; ne fanno parte.

continuavo a pensare: Come posso dire ai miei figli di fidarsi della vita, di mostrarsi, di fare la cosa coraggiosa, se io resto qui a pensare troppo ai miei pensieri? Arriva un momento in cui realizzi che i tuoi figli non ascoltano quello che dici; assorbono quello che sei.

Così ieri, in mezzo a un campo con i cani che zigzagavano intorno a me, ho deciso di smettere di negoziare con me stessa. ho inspirato l’aria fredda promettendomi che avrei fatto questi video. Qualche giorno fa ero sul lago Lemano qui a Ginevra e ho trovato il coraggio di filmare qualcosa che mi era arrivato sulla Responsabilità: la capacità di rispondere a qualunque circostanza o persona. ho girato il video in italiano, perché sento che c’è una mancanza di contenuti di crescita personale in questa lingua, e anche perché i bambini vivono a Roma. ho aggiunto i sottotitoli in francese perché intrecciare due lingue insieme mi è sembrato un atto di coerenza. E poi è ottimo per migliorare il mio francese scritto, quindi voilà. ho parlato della responsabilità, non nel senso duro e moralistico con cui siamo cresciuti, ma come la capacità di rispondere. La capacità di fare una pausa di un secondo prima di reagire e di sentire, anche solo brevemente, gratitudine per l’opportunità che il momento mi offre di espandere il mio contenitore. Non era perfetto, tutt’altro. Ma il tramonto era dalla mia parte, così come i cigni che erano sull’erba mentre camminavo. Ovviamente, finché mi connetto alla Natura, sto bene! Mi sono sentita presente, onesta, e ho avuto la sensazione di fare finalmente il lavoro che evitavo.

Ovviamente, poiché la vita ha un grande senso dell’umorismo, il secondo video che ho girato è venuto leggermente sfocato. Normalmente questo sarebbe bastato a farmi ripiombare nella paralisi. E prima ancora di pensarci due volte, è apparso un altro video di quel ragazzo Ghiyam che dice che ritardiamo l’espansione del nostro contenitore se creiamo troppo ritardo, che dobbiamo mantenere il momentum, o qualcosa del genere. Così invece di mettermi in discussione, ho aggiunto dei sottotitoli giocosi per distrarre dalla sfocatura. ho sorriso alla mia umanità invece di scusarmene. L’argomento era come la gratitudine scioglie la paura e, ironicamente, pubblicare quel video imperfetto e sfocato è diventato la mia prova personale del concetto. Sono molto grata di averlo montato e pubblicato, grata di aver fatto un passo, grata che il coraggio abbia contato più della chiarezza — e la paura si è semplicemente… dissolta. Non aveva più nulla a cui aggrapparsi.

Dopo la passeggiata, con Daisy che correva avanti, Bella che trotterellava al mio fianco e Coco che portava orgogliosa il suo bastone, qualcosa è scattato dentro di me. Da anni credo, profondamente, fieramente, che l’educazione non sia ciò che ci viene insegnato, ma ciò che incarniamo. Che lo sviluppo del nuovo essere umano non abbia nulla a che fare con ciò che insegnano scuole o istituzioni, ma che riguarda il comprendere che siamo fatti per espanderci, che tutti gli errori e i dolori sono doni che affinano le nostre scelte, i nostri piccoli gesti quotidiani, verso sempre più coerenza e consapevolezza. Non possiamo parlare di evoluzione personale mentre evitiamo di guardare le nostre stesse evitazioni. Non possiamo predicare il coraggio ai nostri figli mentre nascondiamo la nostra voce. Non possiamo invitare gli altri all’autenticità mentre ci auto-editiamo fino al silenzio.

Ovviamente sto semplificando un po’ il discorso sull’educazione, ma guardando il mondo, con tutta questa conoscenza, mi chiedo: quando arriverà la saggezza?

Oggi è sembrato l’inizio di un altro tipo di educazione. Certo, un grande grazie ai tutorial di editing : ) e alle abilità che sto sviluppando — ma era qualcosa di più profondo. Come se non venisse da ciò che so, ma dal fatto che finalmente ho smesso di intralciare me stessa.

Ciò che conta davvero in questa vita non è quanto siamo perfetti, ma quanto siamo connessi, quanto è onesta la nostra presenza. Credo che non sia tanto ciò che sappiamo, ma come rispondiamo alla vita quando bussa — e sappiamo tutti che può bussare forte! Tutto ciò che vale davvero la pena comprendere è già dentro di noi. Le chiavi sono interne, noi siamo le porte, e il coraggio è nostro da reclamare.

Stasera, guardando i due video che ho caricato — uno chiaro, uno sfocato — ma entrambi autentici, sì, provo una dolce fierezza, soprattutto perché non sono caduta nella mia solita trappola del perfezionismo!!! Scrivendo queste parole, sento quasi di aver finalmente smesso di rimandare la mia vita, o almeno… di diventare una YouTuber 🤣

Forse questo è il significato del vivere da dentro verso fuori, allinearmi un po’ di più al vero attivismo e al vero contributo: mostrarmi in modo imperfetto, potente e grato e, così facendo, dissolvere un po’ di paura nel mondo.

Ora torno ai tutorial di editing. In realtà è tutto piuttosto emozionante.

Even though there’s a stigma around poverty, sometimes we have to walk straight into it to understand its texture, its humiliation, its silence and its strange gift. Albeit i’ve carried this piercing architectural vision for well over three decades, maybe from before this incarnation even began, i feel compelled to clarify it once again because even though i’m living in complete financial darkness and uncertainty, it still hasn’t managed to break how i show up, nor erase the coherence with which i speak about the world i see.

i got temporarily demotivated, because i’m perplexed by talking about theory while what i want is to speak from the architecture already being built. However i write with the same enthusiasm as if it’s already done, because it is. It’s engraved in my mind’s eye, in my soul’s blueprint and in the cellular understanding of what it takes for a human being to live coherently on this planet.

There’s an avalanche of content out there and i pay attention. For example, Suzanne Giesemann, an extremely high-ranking officer in the U.S. Navy, pure left-brain, pure discipline, then her stepdaughter was struck by lightning. At the funeral she realized there is no way that the essence of a human being simply ends. She went on a mission to find her across the veil. Now she is one of the most respected evidential mediums on Earth. Remembering who we are Thank you Anthony Chene.

i’m mentioning her because maybe it’s the Pisces in me, or just the unfiltered empathy i carry, but i realize that people, in general, don’t take care of people. Yet the divine geometry we’re rediscovering, the mathematics of consciousness, the structure of water revealed by Masaru Emoto, the non-local coherence we’re only now beginning to understand, tells another story: that we’re standing at the threshold of understanding what it really means to be human, a new human.

For me, that understanding is architectural. i cannot stop talking, thinking or dreaming about it. The awakened, coherent human, on the way to full development, must be treated as a sovereign being. Architecture is the infrastructure that makes sovereignty the default. If the architecture is right, subservience disappears by itself. Diplomacy games dissolve. People fall into right action because the environment supports their highest potential instead of compressing them into outdated roles.

The old family paradigm keeps justifying itself emotionally, but the mathematics is merciless: the statistics of loneliness, burnout, depression, domestic violence and fragmented living speak far louder than any romanticized loyalty to a system that has already failed us.

The elephant in the room that almost nobody wants to address is children and their natural development. Living here in Geneva, everything is organized like clockwork, but the machinery is obsolete. We’re sending children into structures designed for a world that no longer exists. We’re teaching them obsolete subjects for an obsolete society while AI, robotics, quantum science and new paradigms of consciousness are rewiring the entire field around us.

i also see that my current reality, this raw, stripped-down phase of my life, enables me to be an unusually keen observer. Dare i say, having grown up in privilege and lived in several countries across the world, i understand something very clearly now: the stories we invent to justify our circumstances are no longer beneficial. They don’t elevate us. They don’t evolve us. They simply keep us attached to an identity that’s already expired. i won’t acquiesce to a life of illusionary comfort, i’m here to respect the vision i’ve got. The more i learn, the more it makes sense.

i see people who earn extraordinary amounts of money, yet many of them live in a kind of golden solitude, counting the hours until their afternoon drink, photographing their plates in luxury ski resorts, trying to immortalize moments that don’t actually nourish them, consume sex like fast-food… None of this is criticism, it’s observation. Because what i’m witnessing is a reduction of the human being, a narrowing of potential into performance, a contraction of meaning into consumption. It reinforces my understanding that the human spirit is meant for something far more expansive.

Among the many voices i listen to are people like Gregg Braden, who speaks about heart-brain coherence with scientific precision, revealing that the heart isn’t just a metaphor but an electromagnetic command center capable of recalibrating the entire human system. Robert Edward Grant, whose work on divine geometry and ancient patterns is showing us, with mathematical elegance, that consciousness, design and nature aren’t separate domains but one coherent intelligence encoded into everything from water molecules to cathedral domes to the very architecture of our DNA.

Their work, among others, reminds me that we’re barely at the beginning of understanding our own potential, the power of our Earth and the frequency at which human beings are capable of operating when placed in environments that support their innate design. It’s quite daunting to see all of this so clearly while living in a moment of material instability. Perhaps it’s exactly why i see it: because nothing in my current life distracts me from the deeper truth of what is unfolding.

i don’t know exactly how it will happen, but i know this: we need to humbly admit that we haven’t got it right and it’s high time we begin experimenting.

My proposal isn’t a commune. It’s not a community. There are already plenty of these thriving around the world, not to mention the number of children who are being homeschooled. Things are good. My vision is: three experimental locations three living laboratories of humanity 2.0 a new fractal, built around five core principles, starting with sovereignty: each person has their own space for sleeping and regeneration. A pod, a room, a tiny architectural jewel, whatever form it takes, but ones own space.

Children can choose larger shared spaces or sleep with their parents; parents can sleep together or apart depending on the day they’re having. CHOICE, in capital letters, because nobody should be subjected to violence, moods or inherited programming.

i’m the first to admit the consequences of not having had this. My children live far away because i was navigating profound uncertainty and psychological violence inside a dysfunctional marriage, one that eventually pushed me into a psychiatric clinic in Switzerland. Even there, the privilege was staggering: massages, ateliers, however access is determined by insurance level, which i can write a whole other article on!

Welfare in Switzerland 😆Welfare in Switzerland has been one of the greatest sacrifices and schools of life for me, not because it isn’t generous but because it’s a quagmire of stagnation, a system that anchors a reductive way of living so deeply into place that it begins to look immovable. It reinforces the illusion that shifting the structure is a daunting, impossible task, when in fact the only impossibility is continuing like this. Buckminster Fuller said it takes just one in 10,000 to show that a completely different way of living is possible. i’m not naïve, i know the machinery is vast, but i also know that creating something beautiful and new is the only respectful act toward future generations.

The point is that i’m not here to survive inside old structures; i’m here to imagine and build the ones we need.

When i speak of the future, i don’t speak from fantasy. i speak from coherence.

Another aspect: the unleashing of human creative capacity. John Adams once said in 1780 HELLLOOOO that he studied war so his grandchildren could study music, tapestry and porcelain. Today we can add dance, cinema, engineering, fractal art, mathematics, robotics, ceramics, horticulture, sound healing, coding, gaming, astronomy an on an on the list goes, a proliferation of disciplines that flourish when humans are placed in the right conditions. We spend enormous energy performing diplomatic theatre inside incoherent systems. Imagine if that energy were redirected into mastery, beauty, collaboration, creation in coherence to our real needs.

Yesterday i watched a brilliant documentary by Josh Snyman about a former Goldman Sachs employee who “drank the Kool-Aid” until age 30. He then spent twenty years unlearning, re-educating himself and building a regenerative farm in Africa. Watching that uplifted me because it proved that it is possible to step out of the trance, to step out of the machine and begin again. The Man Behind South Africa’s Regenerative Farming Movement

So here i am, in financial darkness, writing about a luminous architecture for human beings and i feel no contradiction. Because the darkness hasn’t dimmed my vision. It has only sharpened it.

i know, with absolute clarity, that when we build structures that genuinely take care of humans, we will shift from detached, dysfunctional dynamics into a coherent understanding that we’re one human family on this mesmerizing, living planet.

In my case poverty isn’t the stigma society thinks it is. Maybe it’ s a rite of passage, it’s the threshold through which i’m having to walk so i can describe the other side with absolute precision.

THE FIVE PILLARS OF HUMANITY

① THREE LOCATIONS

Three experimental sites, each built for ~150 people (Dunbar number).

A hybrid between home, retreat and the hotel of the future, part full-time residents, part rotational stays, with optional timeshare access. Just imagine how the myth of “terrible teens” would just dissolve.

② SOVEREIGN PERSONAL SPACE

Every human has their own regeneration pod/room. Parents choose. Children choose.

Choice becomes safety. Safety becomes coherence.

③ ARCHETYPAL WELLNESS SANCTUARIES

For men → Hamam • Sauna • Jacuzzi • Cold Plunge

Because health is not luxury. (What are the costs of keeping people sick and disempowered?)

For generations we’ve been severed from our natural development, shaped by theories, doctrines and educational “rights and wrongs” that have pulled us away from our innate design, these sanctuaries become the places where coherence is restored. They help us return to the natural rhythm Mother Nature intended before conditioning fractured us. And, most importantly, they stop us from submitting our children and their children to the ongoing perpetuation of guilt, shame and taboos that have nothing to do with healthy human development. It should be a basic human right to have the time and space to take care of ourselves.

④ ATELIERS FOR MASTERY

Spaces dedicated to creation: ceramics, coding, dance, robotics, sound, movement, geometry, gardening, cinema, mathematics, design…

A return to beauty and skill as the natural state of an awakened creative human.

These spaces can evolve depending on the location, some sites might be more music-oriented, others naturally lean toward dance, robotics, ceramics, film, mathematics, gardening, coding or whatever the local environment and culture inspire. The point is simple: creativity must be available to everyone, at all times. Because when only a few people have access to creative development, society produces hierarchy, servitude and the illusion that some humans are inherently “more special” than others. But when everyone is uplifted, supported and creatively activated, the entire collective rises. Mediocrity dissolves. Reductive living dissolves. A higher coherence naturally emerges in the community, not by force, but by design.

Did i already mention the “terrible teens” narrative?

Here it’s gone.

⑤ 24/7 ACCESS TO EVERYTHING

Every creative, regenerative and communal space is open at all times. Humans thrive when the environments that nourish them are never restricted.

i understand there’s a historical sequence to every idea that threatens the obsolete: first it’s mocked, then ignored, then blacklisted and only later does it become the obvious next step for humanity. i seem to be firmly located in the “blacklisted” chapter, but i’m not waiting for applause from the other side to speak. i’m speaking now, unapologetically, from the dark where radical clarity is evident.

This vision isn’t theory. It’s a prototype. A test. A humble, audacious experiment asking: what might happen if we stopped worshipping the family structures and architectural habits of the past and instead created environments designed for sovereign, coherent human beings?

So this is an open call, to the entrepreneurs with audacity, to the visionaries who are tired of incremental change, to the ones who know we can build something entirely new.

A place that can be replicated.

A model that evolves us.

A prototype that brings the future into the now.

If you sense that we’re overdue for a new paradigm of living, one aligned with coherence, sovereignty, creativity and human flourishing that our kids deserve us to create better and you have the land or resources to make this happen, here I am feeling these places in my heart.

Or maybe just… a reminder that we could build differently.

1. The Misalignment

We’re not broken.

Let’s just start here.

We’re the result of a system that cracked long before we arrived.

Our parents, their parents, they all did their best inside walls that were never built for consciousness.

They were built for productivity.

We call it civilization.

But if you look closely, it’s mostly just an architectural mistake.

We’ve got streets that go nowhere for the soul and schools that teach us how to obey, not how to wonder.

Our buildings are great to keep the rain off our heads, but not the noise out of our minds.

We’ve been living in containers that train us to behave like economic particles.

Efficient. Predictable. Replaceable.

And the result?

Blank faces on busy streets.

Medicalized lives behind shiny façades.

Teenagers floating in the in-between, not children or yet adults, they’re just waiting to be turned into workers.

We call it adolescence.

It’s really just architectural purgatory.

Homo Communis

The Forgotten Species

We keep acting like isolation’s the natural order.

It’s not.

Humans are a communal species, wired for exchange, for cooperation, for shared moments of creation.

The whole “nuclear family” idea, husband, wife, kids and house is outdated architecture.

A cul-de-sac pretending to be evolution.

We were never meant to repeat the same lonely routines behind separate walls.

We’re meant to live in ecosystems of laughter, reciprocity and mutual care.

Our biology doesn’t just want community. It needs it.

Maybe that’s what our buildings have been trying to tell us all along:

Stop isolating. Start belonging.

3. The Seven Neutral Needs

Air.

Water.

Sleep.

Food.

Shelter.

Connection.

Creative expression.

That’s it, seven needs, they’re basics but let’s discuss them. Here there’s no hierarchy, no mystique.

The first four keep us alive.

The last three make life worth living.

The world we’ve built only cares about the first four.

Breathe, eat, sleep, repeat.

But connection? Creativity? Dreaming? Those are “optional.” Instead in a coherent process of evolution, they’re not.

Future architecture, the one i keep going on about is the one that heals and has to care for all seven:

• Air: the kind that moves: ideas, words, oxygen. Imagine us as frequency receivers.

• Water: not just running through pipes, but in pure constant flow as in emotional, social, creative. After all there’s a substantial part of us made of … water 😅😂

• Sleep: sacred again, not sacrificed for productivity and justifying being woken or waking up our kids into the Doers programming.

• Food: grown near, shared often, never anonymous. Personally i feel the way we go about this, at this time, is to diplomatically fulfill an addiction, a way to soothe what’s unmet, not yet healed.

• Shelter: built from materials that calm the nervous system, not stress it.

• Connection: spaces where people meet without agenda.

• Creative Expression: because art’s not decoration, it’s maintenance for the soul. Besides all children are born artists, until we start pulling wonder out of them and obliging them into compliance.

When all seven are nourished, motivation becomes irrelevant.

You don’t need to push a flower to bloom.

4. The Dunbar Clusters

Robin Dunbar an anthropologist and evolutionary psychologist figured out that humans can maintain about 150 real connections.

That’s it. Beyond that, we start faking it.

So maybe that’s the blueprint, clusters, little human constellations.

Places where everyone’s got their own sovereign space 🌸their capsule 👣 coherent fractals, but still belongs to a living, breathing, creative tribe.

A group small enough to recognize every face and big enough to share a harvest or a collective silence, where dancing and music aren’t occasions but continuums, woven into life the way they were when we were kids and kind of before school.

Cleanliness in these spaces isn’t just about hygiene, but ritual and one of the the visible traces of coherence.

5. Sleep — The Forgotten Portal

We flood the night with light and call rest a waste of time.

However sleep is half our intelligence system.

It’s the nightly reboot when the psyche is sorting, healing and rewiring.

Dreams aren’t distractions; they’re downloads from a wiser realm.

In several Indigenous traditions, including the Anishinaabe and Guaraní, dreams were once shared collectively at dawn 💭a daily practice where the community listened, interpreted and learned from one another’s night visions.

If we ever want to evolve, we’ve got to make peace with the dark again. Imagine seeing the stars as best we could?

Imagine buildings that honor night,

rooms tuned to circadian rhythm, quiet corners for drifting, spaces where rest becomes a shared ritual instead of at best, just an afterthought.

6. Education as Regeneration

Our curiosity, the most natural thing about us, gets repackaged as performance for an economy that doesn’t exactly have our best interest at heart. We stop asking why.

Grades, metrics, results.

We forgot the joy of not knowing yet.

The school of the future?

It looks more like a garden than a factory.

It’s where we experiment, play, failing beautifully and growing are free of demeaning judgments.

We also keep learning because that’s what staying alive actually means, it’s also more fulfilling than living in front of screens.

7. Architecture as Planetary Care

Every space tunes the nervous system of whoever walks through it.

An architecture that cares isn’t a luxury.

It’s a planetary necessity.

Cities should regulate us the way forests do, through coherence, proportion, rhythm making available the stuff that fulfils our curiosity.

We’ve been building mirrors of our dysfunction; it’s time to build mirrors of our potential.

That’s why i’m obsessed with thinkers like John Adams, the ones who imagined a future where the third generation could spend their days on music, tapestry, painting, porcelain.

It’s the dream, right? To finally be so balanced that we’ve got time for beauty again.

i invite you to picture what our version of that could look like, if time prioritized curiosity and our spaces gave us everything we need to evolve.
