Because they tap out very quickly to what one would expect with radiation during such an event. And yes a nuclear bomb being dropped on humanity is realistic in the future because if you drop a fucking bomb on an Iranian school and no one cares, what the fuck do you expect to happen next?

In nature, our bodies and skin absorbed negative air ions for hundreds of thousands of years. This is a general concept image, do not take it literally. Nature has many negative air ions . Inside your home, you probably have no negative air ions. You sweat more indoors as a result.

Imagine if you will, you’re indoors. It’s 90°F/32°C. You are sweating. You have no air conditioner, what can you do?

Obvisoly plug in your Teqoya 450 Negative Ion Generator. Despite the temperature not changing, your skin absorbs the negative air ions and thus you won’t even notice the heat. Note, you have to be seated or near the negative ionizer. You get up from the couch, you’ll sweat from your walk to the kitchen for more snacks. Which is what I would do, get more snacks to eat on the couch. Again this discovery only works when you are near the ionizer. Walk away, you start sweating.

This will not work with all negative air ionizers. There are different kinds of corona negative air ionization. Different ways devices can be implemented. This only works only on a select few models. Generally, these models are pricier.

Recently my home lost electricity for over 24 hours. While it was very warm. So I actually did in fact utilize this and it was incredibly helpful. In the real human world. Not some theory. For those of you who don’t know, cannabis vocs has made my life a living hell for the past 5+ years. I have suffered many anaphylactic attacks (including while inside my own home from neighbors smoking weed), coughed out actual buckets of blood, lost my vision at least three times, and these same cannabis vocs contributes to all of my long COVID symptoms. My entire air cleaning articles and videos stem from my extreme allergy of cannabis smoke. In recent months, I have defriended anyone I know who consumes cannabis. In recent weeks, I have now even started to defriend anyone I know who supports the legalization of cannabis. I have no kindness left in my soul to those who pollute the air.

If this administration reschedules cannabis, I am a dead man walking. Granted we all die eventually but I prefer to die breathing clean air.

Here I have 3 Atmotube air quality monitors. Two original pro models (from April 2021) and one pro 2 model (from December of 2025). Both models use the Sensirion SPS30 particulate matter sensor. Which has been shown to be very accurate across studies and independent reports…. But as all air quality monitors sensors behave, these sensors “drift” over time. In the spec sheet, this particular sensor shows a “maximum long-term mass concentration precision limit drift” in the “0 to 100 μg/m3” range being “+-1.25 μg/m3 / year”. What does that mean in English? Well I typed it out in English, so you should already know!

The sensor could read higher or lower numbers over time pretty much. Probably higher. Although this sensor does have an automatic self cleaning function, dust accumulation will still occur. Which is why I recommend cleaning out your devices with an air blower (while turned off and in a clean air environment) occasionally. Also degradation of materials of the sensor itself will naturally occur. That said, the spec sheet isn’t totally honest and accurate. Although this sensor has a lifespan of 10 years, in reality, it probably needs to be replaced within 2-5 years. Companies artificially test air quality sensors not actually test them over time. Such as, by exposing the sensor in a lab environment to simulate real world conditions expected over 10 years. Well what does that mean in English?? Well again, I typed it out in English, so you should already know!!

First off, what are these three air quality monitors (in the pic at the top of this shitty article) currently reading? Through the magic of my shitty photoshop skills, see image below…

You will see the two older monitors (4.5 years old) are showing numerical values drifting within the expected range. The numbers are slightly higher but also impressively consistent between the older devices. You will say, wow, the 4.5 year old devices are still usable!! Not exactly…

In the real world, the numbers change far more erratically on the older devices. One second, the older device could read 3.0 μg/m3 for 2.5PM, then the next second it could read 8.0 μg/m3 for 2.5PM. The older devices seem to take time to stabilize. Even while stabilized, the numbers can jump around significantly. I tested these devices in a clean air environment today but in the past, during high particulate matter events, the accuracy isn’t adequate at all. The device could read 25.0 μg/m3 for 2.5PM while an accurate particulate matter sensor could read 12.0 μg/m3 for 2.5PM. Off by more than 100%!! So if you use older devices, understand they won’t be the most accurate devices especially during severe air pollution events. I should note, all consumer air monitors tend to be very noisy during high pollution events. These devices are meant to measure ambient air not severely polluted air. Some particulate matter sensors work far better than others in polluted environments.

I will continue to test these 3 air monitors together over the next few weeks as this is my job even though I don’t get paid for it, so is it even a real job? Nope. Regardless, I will update the article accordingly.

The voc sensor on the new model is way more responsive. Although the voc monitor is supposed to remain highly accurate on this model over 5+ years, the newer model doesn’t use the very low energy sensor anymore. I will probably write another article just about the voc sensor accuracy and drifting. Unless you want to write it for me, please do.

During wildfires, many particulates are actually too large for your consumer air quality monitor to measure. Most devices measure 10 microns or smaller. The pathetic human eye can only see around 100 microns. So you can’t see all the wildfire air pollution with your eyes nor can your consumer graded air quality monitor measure it. Thus, particulate matter between 10-100 microns are in the air during wildfires which makes the air quality much worse than what your particulate matter sensor tells you. The solution obviously is to stop wildfires, if you’re into that sort of thing…

One last note, many modern air quality monitors have replacement modules for particulate matter sensors. Such as the Qingping air quality monitor 2. Why? Because the device can easily outlive the accuracy of the sensor. So this would save you money over time.

• The CO2 sensor is a new generation low powered chip. It’s accurate to 100ppm instead of the more commonly seen 50ppm…. which truly is not that big of a deal. Other new generation CO2 sensors are sensitive to loud audio/noise of which this sensor is not. This sensor also requires you to go outside at least once every two weeks to ensure accuracy. If you’re a homebody like me, this is gonna be a lot of work. Sucks, I know.

• The VOC sensor is hands down the best consumer VOC sensor in the market. It is consistent with measurements between devices. This sensor also has significantly less drifting over time than the previous generation sensor.

  • For the record, consistency doesn’t necessarily mean accuracy for other sensors like the outdated CO2 NDIR garbage. Seriously, if you’re pro NDIR, go back in time and live with the dinosaurs. The reason why failed beyond belief PhD aerosol experts recommend NDIR sensors is because they literally have a referral code when they sell such devices. Yes, PhDs make money off you buying ancient sensors that are no longer used by the actual professionals in the industry. Just because you have a PhD, doesn’t mean you know what you’re talking about in your field of expertise nor does it mean you’re a good person.

• The previous generation Atmotube Pro was tested to contain an extremely accurate Particulate Matter sensor as verified by an independent government organization. This device uses the exact same sensor.

For example, my previous device humidity was off by 10%, the app allowed me to manually adjust. Though this generation uses a new generation sensor for both humidity and temperature, of which both are far more accurate. Many people may not realize this, but temperature and humidity accuracy is very important. Don’t ever assume an air quality monitor has accurate sensors all around, sometimes they cheap out on certain sensors.

I probably own more consumer air monitors than anyone on planet Earth. The previous generation of this device was my go to device on the go. In terms of “expertise”, I thoroughly read all available studies on air quality monitor sensors and patents. Though most of my knowledge just comes from experience in other areas over time. I also would like to notate, NOx is more toxic than mold. Far more. No one knows or cares because what you humans refer to as Earth, is a dumb planet. The dumbest planet in my experience.

How do I use a portable quality air monitor in the real world? The device sends notifications to the phone whenever air quality is bad or I can manually check. Whenever air quality is bad, I tend to leave the area in a hurry. Remember, opening a window may result in air quality becoming worse indoors! This is why we use air quality monitors. Earth currently has poison air because we as a society chose to chase profits over breathing. As we were all taught in school, having more money is the key to happiness. Not breathing clean air. I’m not advocating overthrowing all the governments to change the environment so we can finally breathe clean air, but I am open to the idea. Very open.

The FCC with its control over Free Open Air TV Waves in the USA may soon screw over the consumers with needless DRM and extremely expensive setup boxes. TV will no longer be free. Even if you don’t watch tv over the air, this still affects you through various means. Your streaming prices will go up. And up. Then even more up. Be concerned. As of right now, for some mysterious reason (money. money is the reason. it’s actually not mysterious at all) the FCC assigned the new protocol to a private company that’s planning to screw everyone over. It’s akin to privatizing any public service like the police. Imagine having a police force except instead of fighting crime, it worked to increase profits for the police force. That’s what’s going on.

Here is a measurement from an aliexpress/amazon uvc bulb. The device is set to stop measuring below 250nm, but it produces a lot of ozone meaning it’s emitting at 180nm as well. Though technically it could be creating ozone through secondary reactions.
