Anyways, I thought I’d show you what I’ve been wearing, reading and watching in August so far - in the hope that both you and I can enjoy dressing for the last days of summer more.

WHAT I’VE BEEN WEARING

August was a great mix of work and play so far, and I’ve finally found my rhythm with my wardrobe again. Yes, I’m outfit-repeating a lot and the fits are simpler than simple but I’m okay with that. We did have a few heatwaves in the city, so it was more 'doing my best to survive in linen’ than ‘coastal chic’.

A special mention needs to be reserved for Pottery.* Their team kindly sent me three of their pieces to try and they blend into my workwear rotation seamlessly. The pieces are made of great quality, and have really gotten me out of my late-summer style rut for the office: a knee-length satin skirt*, an oversized button-down* and a grey baby tee*. Pottery is a Korean brand (you should absolutely search for Pottery Korea Clothing on TikTok and check out their store interior, too!). I wanted to try their pieces because they are minimal, don’t include logos / branding and give away that quiet luxury feeling I want, especially in my office looks. So, long story short: They are everything my minimalist heart needs.

WHAT I’VE BEEN READING

• Yesteryear, of course (10/10). And anything by Freida McFadden, who you might know as the author of The Housemaid. The Divorce and The Boyfriend didn’t take more than two days to finish, and I’m currently reading Never Lie.

• Sadly, I haven’t found the time to really catch up on my Substack reading list - however, these were the posts I had to read and save because they were brilliant:

  • This What’s In My Bag post by x - because it completely rewired my brain chemistry on work totes.

  • This post on how to build an archive in your wardrobe by - it was one of the topics I never quite understood - until now.

  • This post on outfit-repeating by the one and only which fully convinced me to keep outfit-repeating (and bag-repeating as seen in my outfit pictures) until the end of summer now.

WHAT I’VE BEEN WATCHING

recently asked me if I watch the video-versions of podcasts or just listen to them which is such an interesting question and yes, I sometimes do watch my favorite podcasts on Youtube.

‘An Excellent Fit’ is hard competition for my other favorite fashion podcast ‘Fashion Neurosis’ at the moment, and I really enjoyed watching this episode with Raven Smith (and this post by on top / bottom maximilism / minimalism is worth a read after this!) :

I’m the biggest fan of Lu Hough at Sheerluxe, and this Style SOS was everything I needed and more:

I’m also a huge Emma Mackey - fan and PORTER just always gets it right … the styling, the interviews, the natural cuts in their filming. I admit I’ve watched this multiple times:

WHAT I’VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT

• The amount of time I think about menswear is ridiculous at this point. But the new Aaron Levine x ZARA drop is out and I have my eyes on a few pieces - including this suede bag. And let’s be honest, I would be more than happy to just stare at the look book for hours.

• The styling in Sterling Point, the new Prime Video hit series which was styled by Marissa Schwartz, is to die for. The characters’ wardrobes feel just as natural and authentic as the dialogues. There are many, many videos on the internet discussing Annie’s looks in particular, and then I found this interview via The Set Set, which even has a Toronto Vintage Guide in it.

As this is my first post after a bit of a Substack hiatus, we’re back with a (severely late) March Update. Half spring edit, half random thoughts. Don’t expect anything groundbreaking - this could be your easy Sunday coffee read. Scroll down for my spring inspiration mood boards, my spring wishlist and some curated Vestiaire finds.

HOW MY WARDROBE SLOWLY COMES OUT OF SURVIVAL MODE

Frankly, I didn’t enjoy getting dressed during the last couple of weeks, which is very unlike me but I guess it (life) happens to all of us. I always find these time periods very interesting because whenever something inspirational crosses my path, it kind of hits even harder. So please enjoy this list of things I found incredibly chic and has sparked joy in my fashion heart lately:

• Neither Mel Robbins nor Erin Walsh need much of an introduction - this podcast episode on getting dressed for how you want to feel is excellent.

• It would be an understatement to say I loved ’s feature in the Lié Studio Journal - I absolutely adored it.

• I soak up anything Aaron Levine has to say about style and / or clothes and his feature on Mr. Porter is 12/10.

• Whenever I feel uninspired, stepping back and creating a distance (towards my wardrobe and life in general) helps. I went to London with last week which brought back my fashion spark, of course. We went to see ‘The Devil Wears Prada - The Musical’ and nothing calms me more these days than having my phone on airplane mode and just enjoying culture. Simply being in the moment. That inspired me to go to the movies more, too. I already secured my tickets for The Devil Wears Prada 2 tour for April 30 and I can’t wait to see The Drama.

  
  If you have been reading No Wardrobe for a while, you might know there’s nothing hardly anything I love more than costume design in movies. The Drama’s styling already looked promising in the trailer but I didn’t google who was the costume designer until yesterday. Turns out, it is Katina Danabassis who also worked on The Materialists with Dakota Johnson.
  Aaah, I can’t wait to see that movie even more now!

• Anyone who follows me on Instagram might have noticed I’ve been on the go a lot in March, which included Albania for work and London for fun. I love packing but it gets harder when the mental capacity is shrinking. That’s when the algorithm magically made me discover The Sudoku Packing Method. The video below is in German but you might understand the visuals anyways. Has anyone tried this and can report back?

Speaking of packing hacks, seems to travel a lot for work without compromising her style, and I loved her explanations in this video that shared:

SPRING MOOD BOARD & STYLE CRUSHES

My spring 2026 mood board looks surprisingly colorful so far (yes, as a minimalist, brown and beige count as colors).

As both, my life and wardrobe went into said survival mode for the past couple of weeks (I’m not going to bore you with personal / work struggles), I’m craving style inspiration that is both calm and confident, if you know what I mean: Clean lines, casual and practical looks, no fuss. So no wonder my ‘style crushes mood board’ looks like this atm:

SPRING 2026 WISHLIST & LINKS I SHARE WITH CLIENTS

  I do browse a lot of online shops when styling clients, and these are some things that have caught my attention for spring. The overwhelming amount of H&M Men pieces is a coincidence, they’re simply doing a very good job right now:

  

  I ordered the Sabatier1947 bag for myself after seeing so many people recommending it on TikTok and I am in love. She looks like the Birkin and Kelly bag had a baby, is amazing quality and perfect for schlepping your entire household.

February went by so fast - it felt more like a week than a month.
And here we are, enjoying the first bits of sunshine and a taste of what spring and summer could feel like.

FEBRUARY WARDROBE IN NUMBERS AND WORDS

• FASHION CRISIS: As my life in general is dominated by a lack of time and energy at the moment, I’m not very happy with my wardrobe as a consequence - which I guess is a normal reaction. I randomly started playing in my closet for thirty minutes one day after work last week and this already helped - need to do this more often. Practice what you preach.

• FASHION THOUGHTS: Between 06.30 am commutes, deadlines and trying to protect my sanity, I rediscovered weekly outfit planning this month. I love ’s discipline with her weekly outfit prep sessions! When I had an overwhelmingly stressful week, I dedicated an entire rail in my wardrobe to have space for a few planned looks. It’s the best thing I could have done and it saved me from decision fatigue during the week. Plus, the looks were so much more thought out than anything I would have come up with the night before.

SO GLAD YOU ASKED - FASHION QUESTIONS

If this is the first time you’re reading my monthly update: Hi! You can leave a styling question in my chat and I will answer them in my monthly updates - this month, we’re looking at a shoe problem coming from Hannah:

Hannah, I have four ideas for this:

1. Wear a slightly cropped pair of off-white or black jeans or suit pants. This will give your feet a bit of room to show and will make the shoes feel more modern. You can either wear something structured like a leather jacket on top or try something effortless like an oversized shirt or more sporty sweat shirt.

2. Wear them with a maxi skirt. This feels more edgy than a knee-length skirt and can be dressed up or down.

3. Pair them with capri pants. This will show more skin and add a trendy element to them. For work, you could add a blazer or a shorter, more structured jacket.

4. I also think it helps to choose a style icon to copy outfit ideas from: Ladies who wear (or wore) pointed toe heeled mules all the time are Sylvie Mus and our new favorite obsession Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, for example.

In the jungle of fashion content I consume on a daily basis, these bits of content stood out the most:

• I’m a huge fan of Fashion Mom on TikTok, and this was such a good Fashion People episode with Elissa Santisi and Francesca Keller.

• has an incredible fashion podcast which is my favorite Friday listen while cleaning my bathroom (can you tell I love a good routine?) and I loved, loved, loved, both ’s episode and ’s one:

• Rudy Mance is the genius who rescued the costumes on Love Story after they got so much hate after the test shots were released (remember?). As you know, I love interviews with stylists and this one was a great short one for a morning coffee:

I had a lot of either very boring or very unusual appointments in February: A lot of work stuff (I have a law degree and work in a full time corporate job), a court day, one workshop, very long days, very rainy commutes, costume parties. Here are some of my favorite outfits.

Before we return to Style Notes next week (it’s a good one, promise!), I wanted to open the year with something a little more personal. While I technically only have one personal goal for the year ahead (hopefully more on that very soon), I do have a handful of style intentions I want to carry with me into 2026.

Since launching my Substack and working as a stylist, my relationship with my own wardrobe has naturally shifted. Fashion and personal style now play an even bigger role in my everyday life, and I approach my clothes with a far more technical eye. I’ve seen different wardrobes, absorbed endless inspiration on this platform, and spend most of my days thinking about clothes in one way or another.

So I thought - why not start the year with a fun and honest post about how I want to dress, shop, and style my way through 2026.
