What happened that night became one of the defining spiritual encounters of my life.

I had flown into Newark for a speaking engagement exhausted beyond what sleep could fix. I was soul-tired.

The evening before I spoke, I felt drawn to worship and found my way into a small country church. My marriage was failing, my schedule was relentless, and I had become very good at being everything to everyone while quietly disappearing from my own life.

I made my way toward the front, sank into a pew, closed my eyes, and let the worship music wrap around me. For the first time in what felt like forever, my body began to soften.

Then I heard the words:

“Cast out the slave woman.”

I recognized that voice. Deep, loving, unmistakable. The Holy Spirit.

I knew the verse from Genesis, but in that moment I understood that this was not about Sarah or Hagar.

It was about me.

I was the slave woman.

Since childhood, I had carried a secret vow to be the perfect wife and mother.

I wore the Proverbs 31 woman like a costume stitched together from sermons, culture and an impossible set of expectations. I set standards for myself that no human being could sustain and called it faithfulness.

But it was bondage.

So I kept pushing and performing. I kept praying for God to change me, fix me, restore what was breaking. Yet the harder I tried to earn peace through striving, the more my body, mind and spirit began to protest.

My right leg became limp. Growths formed in my breast. My spirit felt as though it was suffocating under the weight of unmet expectations and unspoken pain.

Still, the slave woman would not let me stop.

The show had to go on.

Looking back, I can see something I could not see then:

I had developed tremendous capacity to accomplish. And, I had not developed the capacity to carry all of it in peace.

That distinction changed the way I think about growth.

What I Thought Was Capacity Was Actually Overfunctioning

I wore busyness like a badge of honor. If I was exhausted, it meant I was important. If there was no margin in my schedule, it meant I was indispensable.

I remember one day inviting my sister-in-law to ride along while I took Derrick to karate. On the way, I stopped at the dry cleaners, the post office, the store, and several other places I had carefully packed into that one trip.

At one point she looked at me and said,

“Good Lord, you do more in a trip to karate class than I do in a week!”

I laughed.

And if I’m truthful, I was proud of it.

What I never stopped long enough to ask was what all that efficiency was costing me.

Behind the productivity was the same slave woman I had encountered in that New Jersey church. She whispered that if I slowed down, things would fall apart; if I rested, I would fall behind; and if I stopped being indispensable, maybe I would stop mattering.

Months and then years passed in a blur. There were stretches I could barely remember clearly. I just knew I had done a lot.

That is why I am so careful today with the word capacity.

What I had built was not healthy capacity.

I had built an extraordinary tolerance for overload.

Overfunctioning taught me how to survive under more weight. Healthy capacity, I would eventually learn, was something very different.

That distinction took me years to understand, and I think a lot of successful women are still being praised for the very thing that is draining them.

Capacity Is Not Endurance

For years, I confused capacity with endurance. I thought it meant how much I could handle, how much I could fit into a day, how many people I could serve, and how many responsibilities I could carry without dropping anything.

Today, I mean something much deeper when I talk about capacity. I define it as the God-given ability to perceive, receive, steward and multiply what He entrusts to us. That includes opportunity and income, but also relationships, health, responsibility, influence, joy, and the ability to remain connected to God while carrying all of it.

It is possible to grow a business while shrinking your life. I have watched income increase while anxiety about money grew with it, and visibility expand while approval quietly became more important than identity. We can become so skilled at carrying pressure that nobody around us realizes what it is costing.

I know because I did it.

That is one of the reasons Isaiah 54:2 has become such an important picture for me:

“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.”

For years, I focused on enlarge and stretch. They sounded exciting. They sounded like growth.

Now I pay just as much attention to the final instruction: strengthen your stakes.

Expansion requires reinforcement. A larger business may require stronger systems. More income may require better stewardship. Greater influence may require a deeper identity so approval does not become addictive. More responsibility may require better care of your body, clearer boundaries, stronger relationships, or more protected time with God.

Sometimes while we are asking God for increase, He is strengthening the part of us that will have to carry it.

That work is often quiet. It may look like healing an old belief that has kept you proving yourself, simplifying something in your business that no longer works, getting honest about financial habits, repairing a relationship, or finally admitting that something you have been carrying no longer belongs in this season.

Some of the most important growth in our lives happens before anyone else can see it.

What Are You Leaking?

One of the most useful questions I ask myself now is not simply, “How much can I hold?” but “How much can I hold without leaking?”

We can receive something good and still lose much of its value through fear, distraction, poor stewardship, weak boundaries, or the need to keep proving ourselves. Sometimes the leak is practical—a business structure that no longer works, a schedule with no margin, or a business where too much depends on one person. Other times it is internal, quietly draining energy long before anyone else can see it.

Jesus gave us another picture when He said that new wine cannot be poured into old wineskins. I used to hear that mostly as a spiritual metaphor, but over the years I have come to see how practical it is.

A new season often requires a new container.

What worked when your business was smaller may not support where you are going now. Rhythms that carried you through one season may need to change for the next. Even beliefs that once helped you survive can become restrictive when God is inviting you into greater freedom.

This is where we can become frustrated. We keep praying for new wine while trying to preserve the old wineskin.

At some point, growth asks us to become honest about the container. Not because God is withholding something good, but because stewardship matters. If He entrusts me with more, I want enough capacity to carry it with wisdom and peace—and enough room left in my life to actually enjoy what He has given me.

That is a very different kind of success from the one I chased for years.

And it is the kind I want now.

September Is an Invitation to Build Differently

Yesterday, I turned the page on the oversized calendar that sits on my desk and just enjoyed the clean white space for a moment.

I still use a paper calendar alongside all my electronic ones because I like to see my life at a glance. The squares are large enough for my favorite EnerGel pens: green for growth, clients and money; pink for relationships and fun; red for expenses; purple for spiritual things.

Across the top of September, I wrote in big letters:

BEST MONTH SO FAR!

I have loved September for more than 35 years in business. Summer begins to loosen its grip, children are back in school, routines settle in, and there is still enough year left to create meaningful change before December arrives.

But I look at that blank page very differently than the woman who once tried to pack ten errands into a trip to karate.

I am no longer interested in seeing how much I can squeeze into those squares. I want to know whether what I put there reflects what I say matters.

At the end of a month, the colors tell me a story. If the page is dominated by green but there is almost no pink, I know business has crowded out fun and relationships. If purple has nearly disappeared, I need to pay attention to my spiritual life.

That is one reason I still use my Prosper Time Budget. It is not simply a way to account for hours. It helps me look at whether the way I am spending my life is creating peace or pressure, reflecting my purpose, and producing real fruit in my business, relationships, health, energy and spiritual life.

Those questions matter to me far more than productivity. A calendar can look beautifully organized while the life underneath it is strained.

A prosperous business sitting inside an exhausted body, neglected relationships, or a starving spiritual life is not Total Soul Prosperity.

That is why September feels less like an invitation to set bigger goals and more like an opportunity to prepare the container.

I am asking a different question now:

What needs to become stronger in me so the increase I am praying for can remain a blessing when it arrives?

That may be a business structure, a financial habit, a relationship, my health, or something far less visible, such as an old belief that still makes me prove my worth by how much I accomplish.

Capacity Is Built in Practice

Insight can change the way we see something, but capacity grows when revelation becomes practice.

That is why I no longer separate spiritual growth from the practical decisions of everyday life. The way I spend my time, structure my business, care for my body, handle money, and respond to pressure all reveal something about the capacity I am building.

It is also why I created the Founder/Prosper Leader experience the way I did. I did not want another place where women simply collected more information. I wanted a place where we bring God into the real decisions of the week and actually do something with what He shows us.

On Wednesday mornings in Prosper Power Hour, we begin with Scripture, prayer, and alignment. On Thursday mornings in Build Like Jesus, we bring those principles into the practical realities of business and growth.

Capacity is built in the ordinary week—in the choices that protect what matters, simplify what is no longer working, and help us respond from peace instead of pressure.

Little by little, the container gets stronger.

That, to me, is real expansion: being able to carry more of what matters without losing what matters most.

This September, I Want to Take This Deeper

Because this idea of capacity feels so important going into September, I am making it the focus of our next private Founder Deep Dive on September 19.

We are going to help you see where your life or business is constricted, what may be leaking, what needs strengthening, and what will help create greater capacity without returning to the patterns that once cost us peace

I don’t want you leaving with another page of notes and a good intention. I want you clear about what God is showing you and what you are going to do with it.

If you feel that same invitation to expand your capacity this season, I would love to have you with us inside Founder/Prosper Leader.

Be in the room September 19. purple gel pens beside me.

Over the years, I’ve developed a spiritual practice of asking God questions by writing them with a royal purple gel pen, then writing what I sense in response in pink. It has become one of the most revelatory and faith-deepening practices in my walk with God.

This time I wrote down a word that made me stop.

I had asked God, “Show me what You want me to know and understand in this season.”

“I want you to FULLY LIVE without fear, doubt and worry. And I want you to KNOW you are FULLY LOVED, FULLY CAPABLE and FULLY ENHANCED.“

Enhanced?

That didn’t sound right to me. I actually wondered whether I had heard God correctly.

So I put my pen down and looked up the origin of the word.

What I found surprised me. The word carries the idea of being raised, lifted, made higher.

I sat there for a moment looking at what I had written.

I had asked God what He wanted me to know in this season, and He had not given me another assignment, another strategy, or another thing to accomplish. He reminded me how He sees me.

As I let that settle in, I thought again about Jesus saying,

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” John 10:27.

The words I know felt especially tender.

What struck me were the words, ‘I know them.’ The question arose in my mind: what is the difference between “knowing” our audience and actually knowing people?

In an age of audiences, funnels, and mass communication, I think we have sterilized humanity out of our business relationship. We have analytics, avatars, demographics, AI-generated personas, engagement data, buyer psychology, and algorithms.

All of those can be useful, but none of them equals knowing a person.

Modern business rewards us for knowing more about people while knowing fewer people deeply. And when we confuse information about people with relationships with people, we can build efficient businesses that are strangely disconnected from the humans we are called to serve.

Jesus modeled the opposite, offering a radically different model of influence: intimacy before scale.

Jesus Did Not Love People Generically

In Matthew 10, Jesus reminds us how deeply we are known, even saying that the very hairs on our head are numbered. We see that same intimacy in the way He related to people. He knew Peter’s impulsiveness, the very trait that could cause him to stumble, but He also saw the strength and leadership within him and called him a rock.

With the Samaritan woman, Jesus looked past the cultural and religious stigma surrounding her and spoke directly into the truth of her life. He did not reduce her to her history. He saw her, spoke to what was real, and that encounter became the catalyst for an entire town to hear about Him.

What stands out to me is that Jesus knew people deeply enough to see both their vulnerability and their possibility.

As AI becomes more integrated into our businesses and daily lives, I think faith-based entrepreneurs need to be careful not to let efficiency replace intimacy. Technology can save us time, help us organize ideas, and even improve the way we communicate. But it can also make it very easy to create content for an avatar, automate the relationship, and slowly lose sight of the actual person on the other side of the screen.

I have to consistently remind myself to look at each person the way God does. Ephesians 2:10 calls us God’s workmanship. The Greek word is poiēma, the word from which we get the idea of a poem or something intentionally created.

Years ago when I homeschooled my children, I taught them God’s principle of individuality by sending them outside to find two leaves on the same tree that were exactly alike. They couldn’t.

Creation itself seems to resist sameness.

That is one reason I believe this is such an exciting season in business. As technology makes it easier to mass-produce communication, we have an opportunity to come back to something deeply human and deeply biblical: building the way Jesus did.

Last Thursday in Build Like Jesus™, we looked at the story of Bartimaeus. He was blind, sitting beside the road, when he heard that Jesus was passing by. He began crying out for mercy. People tried to quiet him, but he called out even louder until Jesus stopped and had him brought over.

Then Jesus asked him something that seems almost unnecessary:

“What do you want Me to do for you?” Mark 10:51

The man was blind. On the surface, his need seemed obvious. Yet Jesus still gave Bartimaeus the dignity of naming what he wanted for himself.

At one point I heard myself saying words I would end up reflecting on for days following

“Love asks. It doesn’t assume.”

One of our Prosper Leaders later laughed and called herself an “assumer.”

I knew exactly what she meant. I think many of us can relate.

So often in business, we decide what people need before we really understand them. We create the program, write the content, build the offer, and then spend hours trying to convince people to want what we created.

Sometimes it works. Other times we get “crickets” and start questioning everything. Was the hook weak? Is the price wrong? Did the algorithm bury the post? Do I need another funnel, another bonus, another launch? But what if we never really asked?

That is one reason I believe this is such an exciting season in business. As technology makes it easier to mass-produce communication, we have an opportunity to come back to something deeply human and deeply biblical: building the way Jesus did.

On Saturday, I led a Deep Dive for Founder/Prosper Leaders. One new Founder arrived thinking she needed one thing. During hot-seat coaching, through a series of questions, she discovered something different. She saw that she lacked a clear, tangible message and also rediscovered her story as part of what had originally drawn people to her.

An hour after the Dive, she emailed me this realization:

“I think I need one thing, but many times I need something completely different.”

Part of building like Jesus is proximity. A person can be intelligent, experienced, prayerful, and still not see her own blind spots.

Her next sentence was even more revealing:

“I like the individual attention.”

I believe that in this season, our next competitive advantage may not be more content. It may be deeper attention. AI may help us create more content or even make more sales, but it can never replace the value of a trusted relationship.

As faith-based entrepreneurs, I believe it has never been more important to hear from the Holy Spirit and learn to see the gold in others, speaking life into who God created them to be. Is it possible that discernment, listening, and personal attention are becoming some of the most valuable assets we can bring into business?

In Build Like Jesus™, I’ve been asking one question over and over: What could happen over the next 12 weeks if we truly built our businesses the way Jesus would?

In an AI-saturated world, what kind of business is God calling us to build?

What would change if we treated each person as a unique son or daughter of God, created with purpose, rather than simply part of an audience? What if we listened before we created, and invited the Holy Spirit into our conversations, decisions, offers, and relationships?

I believe these next 12 weeks can become a divine experiment in possibility. Can we build businesses that are genuinely profitable and deeply faith-integrated, while releasing a taste of heaven on earth in the marketplace?

I believe the answer is yes, because I have seen it before. I watched God transform my previous company in ways I could never have manufactured, through what I came to call miracles in the marketplace.

I watched our smaller conference room become known as the Healing Room, where customers came not only to pick up products but to receive prayer, and some experienced healing on the spot. I watched my agnostic office manager turn customer service into a kind of prayer center, while our larger conference room became a community Bible study that drew staff, clients, pastors, and even troubled teens from the neighborhood.

Over time, the supernatural began to feel more and more natural. There were seasons when I honestly felt as though I were living inside the book of Acts.

I believe more than ever that God wants to restore this level of intimacy, first with Himself and then with the people He has called us to serve.

If you feel that same pull to bring more of God’s presence into your business, here is one simple practice to begin:

1. Pause. Before you create anything else this week, choose one real person God has already placed in front of you.

2. Pray. Ask, “God, help me see this person as You see her. What do You want me to know or understand?”

3. Reflect. What do you already know about her? What has she actually shared with you? What does she say she desires? What is the problem she is facing right now?

4. Deepen. Go beneath the surface. If she says, “I need more sales,” what may be underneath that? Is there a bottleneck in mindset, skillset, or action? What have you assumed you knew without asking better questions or inviting the Holy Spirit to show you more?

5. Be known too. Often we need the same thing we are being asked to give others: a community, a trusted guide, or someone close enough to truly see us and help us recognize our own blind spots.

That is one reason I created Founder/Prosper Leader. It is not simply more content. It is where Build Like Jesus™ is being lived out through weekly teaching, implementation, coaching, deeper proximity, and Founder Deep Dives like the one Rhonda experienced.

I keep coming back to her last statement:

“I like the individual attention.”

There is something deeply biblical about that.

Jesus showed us that we build differently when we know we are already known.

What Would Happen If You Built Your Business Like Jesus for 12 Weeks?

Stop adding Jesus to ordinary striving. This weekend as I was preparing for today’s Power Hour, I read Galatians chapter five. I read it in a lot of translations, but something in the Passion translation popped out at me that I just couldn’t let go of. It described the fruit of the Spirit as a single fruit: love.

“But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions:..” - Gal 5: 22-23 TPT

Total Soul Prosperity™ is a reader-supported publication. What caught my attention was two things. First the fruit is produced by the Holy Spirit. It is NOT fruit produced by me for God. It is the fruit God produces in me.

As a young girl from a troubled home filled with addiction and domestic violence I vowed when I grew up, my home would never be like that. I would be the “perfect” wife and mother…

At 17, when I accepted Christ, I added Christian to the list. So I was going to be the perfect Christian, and that’s completely backwards. It’s Christ doing this, so we’re not left alone trying to manufacture love, or trying to manufacture joy, or trying to manufacture peace, or kindness, or goodness, or faithfulness.

The greatest revelation for me was seeing the ultimate fruit as love.

Just this week in my journal praying I wrote

“Lord, I surrender all. What do you want me to know, be, do, understand in this season”

His answer is one He has said before

“There is only love. Win at the game of love and you will win the game of life. That which comes from fear leads to death and destruction. That which comes from love leads to life. I Am love and my love lives in/through you.”

The fruit IS love. Everything else is an expression of love.

Maybe joy is love celebrating. Peace is love resting. Faithfulness is love remaining….

Galatians 5 is a powerful contrast between the self-life and the Spirit-life. I like things to be practical, relevant and applicable. When I played this out in real life it became a powerful filter.

Self-life focuses on protecting myself, making things happen, controlling the outcome, and accumulating. This produces fruit too. Including comparison, fear, striving and reactivity

The life of Christ in me is very different. When the Holy Spirit is governing our inner world, something very different appears. You get these fruits: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Notice how different this is from striving.

This is exactly why I am so pumped about what we begin tomorrow with Build Like Jesus™

I am so excited to bring this into our daily lives. Having coached since 2012, I’ve spoken and taught a lot about capacity and spiritual maturity.

What if the evidence of spiritual maturity isn’t like how much scripture I can quote, how loud I pray, or how many times a week I go to church, or even how successful I am. What if the mark of spiritual maturity is love, becoming love?

I’m laying such a foundation because we’re not just going to talk about Build Like Jesus™. We’re going to actually do this together over the next 12 weeks,

What does it look like to truly build a life, a business, a family built on love.

What does that really look like? Like really, really, really look like. This is where we get real and raw. Like no more playing church. Being church. Different. Jesus never came to start a religion, yet we’ve made it one.

The idea with Build Like Jesus™ isn’t just to slap Jesus onto ordinary striving.

We’re not just going to kind of sprinkle and sanctify our striving.

We’re going to ask, what does business look like when it’s actually built from the Fruit of the Spirit?

What would it look like to truly build from a surrendered, Spirit-led, scripturally sound, and yet intensely practical life and business?

It’s also highly practical. I’m bringing all of my 35+ years of business experience and building companies from scratch into this.

Tomorrow we begin Build Like Jesus™ with “Before Funnels, There Was Jesus.”
We’ll explore

What happens when we build from Spirit-life instead of self-life?

What did Jesus model that still matters in today’s marketplace?

How do we apply it to actual business in this season, not theory?

Over 12 weeks you’ll walk through both a spiritual foundation and practical implementation into all facets of building/scaling a business.

The goal is not merely inspiration, but to identify what God may be inviting you to build differently and then actually build it.

Tomorrow at 8 AM PT, we begin the experiment. The house that had felt familiar suddenly felt hollow. The couches I sat on and the tables I ate off went out the door. Even the paintings were stripped off the walls.

When my father came home, I could see the pain on his face. His name was Alvin, but everyone called him Al. He was a strong man, a builder, a golfer, a businessman, the kind of man who knew how to work hard and figure things out. But that day, I saw the weight on his shoulders.

He had lost so much.

I don’t remember everything he said. I remember what he did.

He bought a secondhand desk, a chair, and a filing cabinet and put them in the empty formal dining and living room.

There was no computer. No social media. No funnel. No automation. Just an old telephone plugged into the wall, a list of names he had paid for, and a man who made up his mind he was going to rebuild.

Early every morning, I woke up hearing him on the phone. He got started by 5 AM so he could call prospects on the East Coast. He called it “dialing for dollars.”

At twelve, I didn’t know I was watching sales, follow-up, problem-solving, market expansion, or resilience. I just knew my dad was on the phone, and I could help by stamping envelopes and typing address labels for three cents apiece.

That little room became my first business classroom.

My dad had been a professional golfer and club champion, so he started with what he knew and loved. At first, it was a putter he called the Celebrity Putter. Then he had an idea: what if that putter could be gold-plated, engraved, and used by car dealerships as a gift, award, or sales incentive?

He took that idea into every conversation, showing each potential client how the putter could solve a real problem for them.

I watched my dad, and later Jerry, a big, burly salesman with a booming voice and a laugh that filled the room, build relationships one phone call at a time. They listened. They asked questions. They found out what mattered to the person on the other end of the line. They helped people see what was possible.

Over time, that secondhand desk became two desks. The garage became offices, shipping, and manufacturing. Eventually there was commercial property, more expansion, and even a chrome and gold-plating factory. He was even one of the first to get a contract with Cadillac to gold-plate parts for their cars.

What began in an empty room became a multi-million-dollar business.

I didn’t have language for it then, but I can see it now.

My father rebuilt through trust.

_____

I think that is why the memory came back this week.

Because we are building in such a different world now, but I am not sure the deepest things have changed as much as we think.

I use AI, and I am grateful for tools that help me organize my thoughts. But I don’t want tools to make us sound less like ourselves.

I don’t want to sound like a machine. I don’t think my readers do either.

_____

That is where I keep looking at Jesus.

He never seemed impressed by crowds for the sake of crowds. He noticed people. He stopped for the woman at the well. He heard blind Bartimaeus when other people wanted him quiet. He asked questions that reached past the surface. He invited people close before He sent them out.

Mark 3:14 AMP. says Jesus appointed the twelve “so that they would be with Him [for instruction]” and then He sent them out to preach.

That order jumps out for me. They were with Him first and then sent out.

He spent time with them. He taught them. He let them watch how He lived.

And I wonder if that is part of what we are being invited back to right now. Not abandoning tools or pretending AI doesn’t exist. I don’t believe we can ignore the importance of systems, sales, follow-up, or strategy. These matter deeply.

But they cannot become the soul of the business.

As women who love God and feel called to build, we need to return to a way of building where we do not sound like a carbon copy of everyone else, sell from pressure, or disappear behind tools that were supposed to help us. We are called to become more Spirit-led, more surrendered, more skillful, and more true.

That feels important to me right now. God still works through people who are listening, surrendered, and willing to obey.

_____

That is why Build Like Jesus™ feels so timely to me.

I felt the Holy Spirit give me the name, not because it is clever, but because I believe God is calling many of us to examine not only what we are building, but how we are building it.

Somewhere along the way, marketing started making us feel like we have to perform all the time. When I think of dancing on TikTok as marketing, I honestly wonder, “How did we get here?”

I keep thinking there has to be a better way to sell and serve without feeling divided inside.

I believe Jesus showed us that better way, one deeply connected to God, but not passive. One that honors people and still makes clear invitations.

This is the conversation I want to have with women who are ready to build in this season, women who want to pray for clients and also learn how to communicate, follow up, lead, and steward the business God has placed in their hands.

_____

That is why I am opening the invitation to become a Founder/ProsperLeader.

I know that phrase may be new, so let me explain it simply.

Founder/ProsperLeader is the closest place to walk with me through this season.

Every Wednesday morning, we gather live online in Prosper Power Hour, where we study a biblical promise, anchor in a Kingdom principle, and pray with and for each other.

On Thursday mornings, we begin Build Like Jesus™, then move into Office Hours, where women bring the real business issues they are working through: messaging, pricing, sales conversations, follow-up, visibility, discouragement, and decisions.

And if you miss a live call, the replay is available inside the Prosper Leader Vault.

Comment BUILD below or reply BUILD if you want the details.

Or, if you already know you want to step in as a Founder/ProsperLeader, you can begin here:

https://officialbrendabyers.substack.com/subscribe

Important note: If you have never subscribed to my Substack before, the link may first take you through the free subscription step. was building a business, making financial decisions, trying to protect what we had, and carrying far more pressure than I realized.

Then, at seven months pregnant, my water broke.

Within hours, I was lying completely still in a hospital bed, trying to give my unborn daughter every possible day for her lungs to develop.

What still gets me is that part of me was trying to hold onto the house.

Greg and I had first seen it on the cover of a magazine. A sprawling country estate with a pond, fruit trees and a barn. It looked like everything we had dreamed of.

Somewhere along the way, I stopped simply wanting the house and started believing I had to have it.

We threw ourselves into making it happen with mortgage brokers, income verification, credit checks, paperwork and phone calls. I was constantly thinking about what could go wrong.

What if the financing falls through? What if we lose it?

At the same time, we were fighting the insurance company over hospital costs. The doctor, with his gold-plated stethoscope, was insisting that labor be induced, while I had studied enough to know that every additional day mattered for my baby’s lungs.

I was trying to hold onto the house, protect my baby, fight the insurance company and make the right medical decision all at once.

When I finally opened my hands

Some of the distributors from the Canadian network marketing company I was with came to visit. They brought flowers and balloons and helped warm that sterile hospital room.

But what touched me most was a poster they hung on the wall.

That evening, the sun was setting through the window beside it, and my eyes kept going back to the words:

“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”

As I kept reading the poster, the truth hit me. I had almost lost a child fighting to hold onto a house and a future I had convinced myself I needed.

I was so focused on getting the life I thought I needed that I had stopped noticing what God had already given me.

I tell this story in my book, Total Soul Prosperity, because it became one of the defining moments in how I understand prosperity.

That night I prayed:

“God, I release this to You.

I release all that I have and all that I have desired.

I’m sorry for putting things ahead of You.

From this day forward, I will not grasp after things more than I seek Your Presence.

I’m opening my hands and my life.

I trust You, Lord.”

The house was still uncertain, the insurance issue was unresolved, and my baby was still coming too early. But I could feel myself letting go. My breathing softened, my mind quieted, and I had a growing confidence that I did not have to know how everything would work out to trust that God was with me.

I felt like a child leaning back into her Father’s arms. That simple trust gave me the courage to release what I could not control and trust God with Kristyn.

What if abundance begins somewhere else?

This morning, I found myself facing that same issue in a different way.

I listen to sermons most mornings, and today I was listening to one on ceaseless prayer. It convicted me because, in the busyness of taking on larger corporate clients in addition to my coaching clients, I had to admit that my prayer life had become thinner than I wanted it to be.

So I went on one of my prayer walks. I began with gratitude, then moved into prayer, requests and declarations.

When I came home, I curled into my favorite overstuffed leather chair, Coco beside me, opened my journal and wrote what I often write to God:

What do You want me to know and understand today?

I wrote for a few minutes, and this is what came:

“Break the lies of lack and separation. You do not lack. You are never separate. Now LIVE from that place.

Live as if there is no lack. Live as if we are one.

You don’t need more information. You don’t need more money. You don’t need more things. You need more awareness and more Presence.

It’s not money. It’s not things. It’s LIFE.”

That last word sent me straight into the Scriptures.

What if eternal life starts now?

Most of us hear the phrase eternal life and think about what happens after we die.

But John’s Gospel keeps pointing to something we can experience now.

“In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.” — John 1:4

“I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” — John 10:10

“I am the way, and the truth, and the life.” — John 14:6

The same Greek word for life appears again and again throughout John: zōē.

What caught my attention was that Jesus was not talking only about a future destination. He was talking about a life that begins in relationship with Him now.

Abundant life is not something I have to wait for until circumstances improve. It is not something I finally step into when the business grows, the money comes in or the uncertainty disappears.

It begins in Christ, now.

Jesus was not simply promising more things. He was offering Life.

Then I kept reading.

Right after John 14 comes John 15, where Jesus gives us the picture of the vine and branches:

“Abide in Me, and I in you... apart from Me you can do nothing.”

A branch does not create life by working harder. It stays connected to the vine, and fruit grows because life is already flowing through it.

Life first. Fruit second.

That order matters to me because I have spent parts of my life doing it backwards. I have chased the fruit and expected it to eventually give me peace.

The house taught me otherwise.

I had been asking something outside of me to provide security, certainty and life.

The opposite of lack isn’t more. It’s union.

Thanks for reading Total Soul Prosperity™! She needed to keep the numbers from becoming her source.

That distinction changes the way we make decisions.

We can look honestly at cash flow, pricing, sales and what the market is telling us without giving those things authority over our peace.

My approach to business has always been Mindset + Skillset + Right Action=/__u/officialbrendabyers.substack.com/Results%3C/span>.

Mindset begins by remembering that God is my Source, not my savings, my clients or the economy.

Then I pray and co-labor with Him. I might ask whether there is someone I need to contact, a person I forgot to follow up with, or a former client who may be ready for support again.

After that, I look honestly at the business. Are enough conversations happening? Is the offer clear? Am I serving the right people? Have I been visible enough for people to know how I can help?

Then I take the next right action. It could mean reaching out personally, following up, teaching a masterclass, hosting an event or having a conversation I have been avoiding.

Faith and strategy belong together.

I do not pray instead of taking action. Prayer helps me take action without letting fear run the business.

You may not need a bigger audience

One of the things I teach in Build Like Jesus is that Jesus did not begin by chasing mass reach. He invested deeply in people and built through relationship.

That matters because business owners are constantly being told they need more followers, more leads and a larger audience.

Sometimes what needs attention is much closer.

A past client may be ready to work with you again. Someone who said yes months ago may simply need another conversation. A person who has quietly followed your work for a year may finally be ready, but she needs to understand how you can help her.

You may not need more people. You may need deeper connection with the people God has already placed around you.

That is one of the reasons pressure is so costly. It keeps us scanning for what is missing instead of seeing clearly what is already in front of us.

Prosperity is bigger than what you can measure

I want businesses to grow. I love watching clients increase revenue, sign new clients, launch something they have dreamed about, and see their work make a bigger impact.

But I care about the person building the business too.

My definition comes directly from my book:

Total Soul Prosperity: prospering in every area of your life spiritually, physically, financially and in all your relationships.

I want your business growth to support that life, not consume it.

For me, that has meant learning to receive what God brings and steward it well without forgetting where it came from.

I have not mastered this. Financial surprises still happen. Business has ebbs and flows, and stress occasionally tries to pull me back into the old habit of gripping harder.

I recognize it sooner now.

I know where to return.

August is not a waiting month

For more than three decades, I have noticed a shift as summer begins to wind down. I feel it almost physically, and I am already feeling it again.

Kids head back to school, summer travel slows, and people begin thinking seriously about what they still want to accomplish before the year ends.

I am seeing that shift in my own work right now. Someone I have known for decades reached out about bringing me in as a keynote speaker for a retreat. Another person opening a wellness center wants to explore how I might be involved. Book-launch conversations are opening up, and consulting clients are moving forward with projects that had been quieter during summer.

For me, September has consistently been one of the strongest business growth windows of the year.

September momentum is often created in August.

That makes this a good time to look at what God may be inviting you to build before the year ends and what deserves your attention now.

Want me to look at your business with you?

I am opening space for Business Activation Calls this month.

We will pray together and look honestly at what is happening in your business. We can identify where things may be getting stuck, what opportunities are already in front of you, and the 3–5 actions that make the most sense right now.

BUSINESS ACTIVATION CALL

Decades have passed since that hospital room. I’m embarrassed even writing that sentence.

During my marriage, the larger checks were paid to my husband because he handled our household expenses. At the time, that made sense to me. I never imagined our marriage would end or that I would one day need to prove income in my own name.

When our marriage ended, I discovered that none of the income I had helped generate was documented in my name. I had also chosen not to pursue alimony or child support. When I began applying for apartments in the area where my children had grown up, I couldn’t provide the proof of income the landlords required.

I remember walking into the mediator’s office after another landlord had turned me down and laughing because the situation felt so absurd. I had spent years helping generate millions of dollars, but the leasing office saw a woman with no income history of her own. Underneath the laughter, I was scared. I had no idea where I were going to live.

The house I couldn’t see

The mediator’s assistant listened to my situation and said, “I have a place.”

He owned a house that was sitting vacant. When he offered to rent it to me without the usual credit approval or the first-and-last-month deposit I felt hope and breathed a sigh of relief.

When I walked inside, I smiled. The house felt open, peaceful and welcoming, with beautiful wood floors throughout. I had wanted wood floors for years. In my former home, three children and pets had taken their toll on the off-white carpet. No matter how often I hired professional cleaners, it never looked clean for long. This house also had walk-in closets and a deep jetted bathtub, two things I had quietly wanted for years.

I had been asking God for a place I could live near where my kids had lived most of their life. I had not asked Him for wood floors, walk-in closets or a jetted bathtub, yet there they were. Those details made me feel known.

That same house was where I began building Prosper in All Things. I was starting over personally and professionally, and I did it from a beautiful home office in a home I could never have qualified for on paper.

Only later did I learn the house had been sitting empty before I walked into the mediators office. I still think about that.

Then God opened her eyes

I think this is why Hagar’s story has stayed with me. In Genesis 21, Hagar ran out of water in the wilderness. She placed her son under a bush, then sat some distance away because she could not bear to watch him die. She lifted her voice and wept.

Then Scripture says:

“Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water.”
Genesis 21:19

Genesis does not tell us when the well appeared or whether Hagar had passed near it before. It tells us that “God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water” The history of the well remains unstated, but the turning point is clear: Hagar saw something she had not been able to see moments earlier.

Moments earlier, Hagar believed her son was going to die. Then God spoke to her, and she saw the well. Genesis does not tell us why she had not seen it before, but I recognize something familiar in that moment: pressure can affect what we are able to see.

When I first saw this I wanted to do jumping jacks and a happy dance at the same time. Since then, I have prayed some version of this almost every day:

“God, show me. What do You want me to see, understand and do?”

Thanks for reading Total Soul Prosperity™! Still, research offers a helpful parallel. Studies have found that perceived threat can narrow attention, while prior beliefs can affect how we evaluate new information. Under intense pressure, it may become harder to notice an option that does not fit the outcome we fear.

Over more than 35 years in business and since I began coaching women in 2012, I have watched pressure make experienced, resourceful women feel trapped. In our work together, we slow the situation down and separate what is true from what fear is predicting. That is often when an overlooked option becomes visible, such as a relationship they can revisit or experience they can turn into a clear offer.

I’ve watched this happen in my own life and with women I coach: pressure changes perception, and perception affects the choices we make. Sometimes we don’t need another strategy. We need enough space to see clearly again.

Open the Flow

This is part of what I teach through Open the Flow, the O in my P.R.O.S.P.E.R. System. Partnering with God comes first. We ask Him to help us recognize what He has provided, receive it, put it into circulation and steward it well. Then we respond to what He shows us.

I have seen women pray for new clients while hesitating to make an offer, continue giving away expertise they should be paid for, or refuse help because they believe they should be able to do everything themselves. Fear and scarcity can influence these choices. So can the habit of carrying responsibilities God never asked us to carry.

What this looked like for Kate

I saw this with Kate Bailey as she moved from corporate leadership into entrepreneurship. Building a company of her own required a different kind of clarity. She needed to know whom she was serving and how to talk about the business. Sales was where she felt least confident.

During our coaching, Kate became clearer about her market and how she wanted to show up as the founder. We worked on her message and, especially, her confidence in sales. Within three months, she hit six figures and began building a team.

Kate already had experience she could build upon. Our work helped her turn that experience into a business people could understand and buy from. Once she had greater clarity and confidence, she acted on them.

From recognition to action

Seeing the provision is only the beginning. Hagar still had to walk to the well, fill the container, and give her son water.

For Kate, the well was not another credential or a completely new strategy. It was the experience she already had, once she could see how to turn it into a business people understood and would pay for. In our own businesses, sometimes the next step is equally close: clarify the offer, make the call or ask for help.

Partnering with God does not mean waiting passively. We bring the real business decision to Him and follow the direction He gives.

When I feel lack closing in, I return to Psalm 23: “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not lack.”

The prayer I shared earlier ends by asking God what He wants me to do. That part matters because seeing clearly is not the end. We still have to respond.

For Kate, that meant using the experience she already had and learning how to communicate its value. For someone else, it might mean making the offer she has delayed, calling the person who has been on her mind or asking for help with a decision she has been carrying alone.

Prayer can help us see what we have missed. Then we have to respond to what God shows us.

What might you see now?

Where might pressure be narrowing your perception?

Before you close this, write down the business problem that feels most urgent. Bring it to God and return to the prayer I shared earlier. Give yourself a little room to notice what comes to mind.

You may discover that you already know what requires your attention. Sometimes an experienced outside perspective can also help us see what is difficult to recognize from inside the situation.

That is what we will do during a complimentary 15-minute Business Activation Call. We will look closely at the business problem you bring and identify what is keeping it in place. Before we finish, you will have one specific step to take.

Book Your Business Activation On the way, I stopped for lunch and ordered minestrone soup. I did not finish it, so I took the leftovers with me in a small to-go container.

It was not a large container.

Just enough for one person to enjoy later.

That evening, as the women gathered, we discovered there was a problem. The van carrying the food had run into trouble and would not arrive until very late. We were in an isolated place. The stores were closed. The women were hungry.

And all I had was that small container of leftover soup.

I still remember standing in the kitchen, looking at it. A little minestrone. A saucepan. A room full of hungry women. And somewhere deep inside, a quiet invitation rose in my spirit:

Expect a miracle.

So I poured the soup into the pan and asked God to multiply it.

Then I began to serve.

One bowl became two. Two became three. Then more women came near the kitchen, watching with wide eyes and quiet astonishment as I kept dipping the ladle into the pan. The soup did not diminish. Bowl after bowl, person after person, we all ate and were satisfied.

I have never forgotten it.

It still reminds me of Jesus feeding the multitudes with five loaves and two fish. And this week, as I have been preparing to teach on flow, capacity, and the hidden patterns that shape our lives and businesses, it has also reminded me of another miracle.

The widow and the oil.

What Do You Have in Your House?

In 2 Kings 4, a widow came to the prophet Elisha in a desperate situation. Her husband had died. The creditors were coming. Her sons were about to be taken. Her grief was real, her lack was real, and her crisis was urgent.

Elisha did not begin by handing her money or pretending the situation was not serious. He asked a question that still cuts through the fog of fear:

“What do you have in your house?”

She answered, in essence, “Nothing… except a small jar of oil.”

Not enough.

But something.

That is where many miracles begin. Not with what we wish we had, or what we think we need before we can move, but with the small thing already in our hands.

The widow had oil. I had leftover soup. You may have a story, a gift, a skill, an offer, a relationship, a word from God, a small audience, a few warm contacts, or an idea that will not leave you alone.

It may not look like enough, but it may be the very place God is asking you to begin.

The Oil Flowed as She Poured

Elisha told the widow to gather vessels, go inside, shut the door, and pour. He did not tell her to wait until the oil looked more impressive. He did not tell her to keep staring at the little she had until it felt like enough.

He gave her an instruction that required movement.

The miracle did not happen while the oil sat safely in the jar. It happened as she moved in obedience with what she already had.

That is where this story becomes deeply personal for many of us. We often want more before we move: more clarity, more confidence, more proof, more money, more time, more certainty that God is going to come through. But in the Kingdom, flow often begins in motion.

As she poured, the oil multiplied. As she obeyed, provision moved. As the vessel tipped, heaven met her action.

This is not striving. It is participation.

There is a kind of effort that comes from fear, pressure, and proving. We know that kind of effort because it leaves us depleted, anxious, and disconnected from peace. But there is another kind of movement that comes from trust. It may still require courage, action, and obedience, but the source is different.

The widow was not forcing the oil to multiply. She was responding to an instruction.

That is different.

The Oil Did Not Stop Because God Ran Out

Here is the line that has been sitting with me all week:

The oil did not stop because God ran out.

It stopped when there were no more vessels.

That is one of the clearest pictures of capacity in Scripture. The limitation was not God’s provision. The limitation was what was available to receive and hold it.

And I wonder how often this is true in our lives and businesses.

We pray for more clients, but visibility still feels vulnerable. We pray for more cash flow, but receiving money can still feel tangled with guilt, fear, or pressure. We pray for more impact, but our calendar is already full of things that no longer match the assignment. We pray for increase, but our nervous system braces as soon as more responsibility, visibility, or opportunity comes close.

Not because we do not love God.

Not because we are not called.

And not because strategy does not matter.

Strategy matters deeply. Clear offers matter. Pricing matters. Messaging matters. Sales conversations matter. Follow-up matters. Leadership and structure matter. I have seen businesses shift quickly when those pieces finally come into alignment.

But after more than 35 years in business — building companies, coaching women, leading intensives, and helping businesses get unstuck — I have also seen this again and again:

The best strategy can only carry us as far as the pattern underneath it allows.

If the pattern underneath is fear, overgiving, undercharging, hiding, over-responsibility, or limited capacity, even a good strategy begins to strain.

A woman may have a beautiful offer, but if visibility feels unsafe, the invitation never fully leaves her mouth. She may deeply want cash flow, but if receiving money feels uncomfortable, she softens the price, overdelivers, delays the sales conversation, or gives away the very thing she should be leading with. She may be asking God for increase, but her calendar, body, business structure, or emotional capacity may not yet know how to hold more without pressure.

This is why clarity matters so much.

Sometimes flow opens when we finally see what we could not see before.

Capacity Is Not Just More Space

When I talk about capacity, I am not simply talking about having more hours in the day.

Capacity can be spiritual. Emotional. Physical. Financial. Relational. Practical.

It may look like a cleaner calendar, a clearer offer, a stronger boundary, a bolder price, or a business model that no longer requires you to overgive in order to feel worthy. It may look like allowing money, support, visibility, rest, or opportunity to come close without your body immediately interpreting it as danger.

That is where Scripture, science, and strategy meet.

The body remembers what the mind tries to override. The nervous system can treat unfamiliar increase as unsafe, even when our spirit is praying for it. And when an old pattern is directing the way we build, we can unconsciously recreate the very limits we are asking God to break.

I know that pattern personally.

For years, there were places where money felt connected to stress, pressure, fear, and danger. I learned early in life that money could disturb peace, divide a home, and create chaos around the dinner table. Even after I came to faith and began renewing my mind with Scripture, there were still scripts underneath the surface that had to be seen before they could be transformed.

That is why I have such compassion for women who are doing the work, praying the prayers, serving deeply, and still wondering why something feels blocked.

Sometimes the block is not obvious.

Sometimes it is an old agreement. An invisible ceiling. A money script. A fear pattern. A nervous system response. A way of protecting yourself that made sense in one season but is now limiting the next one.

And sometimes what feels like a business problem is also a capacity invitation.

Maybe God Is Not Withholding

Maybe God is not withholding.

Maybe He is asking a deeper question.

What do you have in your house?

What vessel needs to be made available? What old pattern has been limiting what you can receive? What are you still holding in the jar because it does not look like enough? What would it look like to pour from obedience instead of pressure?

For the widow, the answer was oil. For me in Bodega Bay, it was a small container of leftover minestrone soup.

For you, it may be the offer you keep softening, the price you keep lowering, the post you keep delaying, the follow-up you keep avoiding, the help you keep resisting, or the space you keep filling with things God has not asked you to carry.

The invitation is not to strive harder.

The invitation is to see what has been quietly shaping the flow.

Because when God brings light to the pattern, we can stop organizing our lives and businesses around it.

A Different Way to Build

This is the heart of the conversation I am here to lead.

I believe women can build profitable, impactful, faith-integrated businesses without sacrificing their peace, health, family, sleep, joy, or spiritual alignment. I believe we need both Heaven and Earth: prayer and pricing, Scripture and structure, surrender and sales conversations, emotional alignment and right action.

A business will not become healthier simply because we push harder. And it will not grow sustainably if the growth requires us to abandon ourselves in the process.

There is another way to build.

One where clients, cash flow, creativity, energy, and peace are not treated as separate compartments, but as part of a whole life surrendered to God and wisely stewarded.

One where strategy is not used to override the soul, but to support the assignment.

One where increase is not just chased, but received and stewarded.

This is what I call Total Soul Prosperity™.

It is not just about making more money, although I care deeply about women prospering financially. It is not just about peace, although peace is one of the greatest indicators that we are no longer building from pressure. It is about living and building from a place where your inner world and outer work come into agreement with God’s truth.

Because when the pattern changes, the business can breathe differently.

The invitations become cleaner. The follow-up becomes lighter. Receiving becomes safer. Stewardship becomes stronger. Peace returns.

And what once felt blocked can begin to flow.

Open the Flow

This Saturday, July 25, I am leading a live micro-event called:

Open the Flow: Identify the Hidden Pattern Blocking Your Clients, Cash Flow, and Peace

For 75 minutes, we are going to identify where the flow is getting tight — in clients, cash flow, peace, energy, visibility, or capacity — and you will leave with one clear next step to open it again.

We will look at the hidden patterns that may be affecting the flow of new clients, money, peace, creativity, energy, and your ability to receive and steward increase. I will guide you through a simple process to help you see what may be clogging the flow and what next right action God may be inviting you to take from peace instead of pressure.

This is not inspiration instead of strategy.

It is alignment underneath the strategy.

Because clients, cash flow, creativity, and peace were never meant to come through striving. They were meant to flow from partnership with God.

Open the Flow
Saturday, July 25
9:00 AM Pacific
Live on Zoom
$47 — free for Prosper Leader Members

Reserve your seat here:
https://bit.ly/Opentheflow

If something in you recognizes that you have been asking God for more while clients, cash flow, peace, energy, visibility, or capacity still feel tighter than they should, I would love to have you in the room.

Praying YOU prosper in ALL things!
Brenda

Thanks for reading Total Soul Prosperity™! strategy?

What if your business has simply grown as far as the pattern underneath it can carry?

I know that may sound unusual at first because most of us have been trained to look at the surface. We look at the offer, the post, the funnel, the pricing, the calendar, the website, the sales conversation, or the number in the bank account.

Those things matter.

But after more than 35 years in business, building companies, coaching women, leading intensives, and watching God move in the marketplace, I have become deeply convinced of this:

Unseen patterns shape visible results.

You may be doing many of the “right” things. You are praying, showing up, serving deeply, learning, refining, and trying again. You may have a beautiful offer, a real calling, and years of wisdom behind you.

And still, something feels inconsistent.

The clients are not flowing the way you hoped. Cash flow still feels tighter than it should. Visibility feels heavier than it used to.

You keep thinking about the post you need to write, the follow-up you need to send, or the invitation you need to make, but something inside tightens before you do it.

So you wonder, What am I missing?

Most women assume they need more strategy.

Sometimes they do.

But often, before strategy can fully work, the hidden pattern underneath has to be seen.

The Problem Was Not Effort

A few weeks ago, I began working with a company with a beautiful product and serious growth potential.

They had been stalled for over a year.

Not because the partners lacked intelligence, commitment, or desire. In fact, the opposite was true.

These were three successful businessmen with backgrounds in accounting, insurance, and farming. They had each built businesses in industries they understood.

But this company was different.

As one partner later told me, they had become “stymied by a lack of knowledge, confidence and leadership.”

As we met over Zoom and began looking carefully at the business, I could see something else.

There were good people working hard in different directions.

Marketing materials were saying one thing. Sales conversations needed something else. Technology had been built, but key parts were creating friction. Money was going out month after month for things that once had meaning but no longer matched the current assignment.

No one had been careless.

The business had simply been carrying patterns from a former season.

Some of those pieces were brilliant when the original vision began. But technology had changed. The market had changed. The opportunity had changed.

And there was another part of the business that was pure gold, sitting right in front of them, waiting to become the focus.

As we asked better questions, the fog began to lift.

What still matters?

What is no longer serving the assignment?

What is draining resources without creating fruit?

What is the gold God has actually placed in our hands for this season?

For the first time, the partners began forming a clear picture of where the company could go.

One partner later described my role as a symphonic conductor bringing the strings, brass, and reeds into alignment.

He recently told me:

“We’ve made more progress in a month than we did the previous year.”

The issue was not effort. It was alignment.

The Same Thing Happens Inside Us

As I sat with that company, I kept thinking:

This does not only happen in businesses.

It happens inside us.

We can carry old beliefs, old fears, old money stories, old sales patterns, old ways of giving, old ways of protecting ourselves, and old ways of doing business simply because they have been there so long they feel normal.

We may be praying for new clients while still withholding our voice.

We may be asking God for increase while overgiving until we are depleted.

We may say we want to receive, but our body tightens when support, money, visibility, or opportunity comes close.

We may pray for more while not yet having the inner or outer capacity to hold more with peace.

That is why your business can have a beautiful calling, a strong offer, and real potential—and still feel blocked.

Because a hidden pattern may be shaping the flow.

Once You See the Pattern, You Cannot Unsee It

This past week, I taught four flow patterns to a group of women I mentor.

The response was immediate.

One woman said she had not even been aware these patterns existed.

Another typed into the chat:

“Eye opening. I’m blown away.”

That moment stayed with me because once you see your pattern, you cannot unsee it.

Some women are withholding from fear—holding back visibility, invitations, follow-up, pricing, truth, or leadership because exposure does not feel safe.

Some are overgiving from fear—pouring out, rescuing, discounting, overdelivering, and exhausting themselves because value has become tangled with sacrifice.

Some are blocking receiving—praying for clients, income, support, recognition, or rest, but contracting when those things actually come close.

And some are facing limited capacity—asking God for increase while the inner or outer structure cannot yet hold it without chaos, pressure, or self-abandonment.

These patterns are not shameful.

They are invitations.

They show us where God wants to bring truth, healing, order, and overflow.

Flow Is Spiritual

Jesus said:

“Whoever believes in Me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” — John 7:38

Jesus spoke of rivers of living water flowing from within—and John tells us He was speaking of the Spirit.

That image of life moving from within has stayed with me because so much of what we try to fix externally is being shaped internally.

Flow is not just about money.

It is about life—the movement of God through you and to you.

It is about being able to release what He asks you to release, receive what He desires to give, and steward increase without fear, shame, pressure, or striving.

This is the heart of Total Soul Prosperity™.

It is not choosing between spiritual depth and practical results. It is learning to prosper spiritually, physically, financially, and relationally without losing yourself in the process.

This is where Scripture, science, and strategy meet—where Heaven’s wisdom becomes practical action and internal transformation begins changing external results.

This is the work I feel called to write, teach, and share in this next season.

Not because the world needs more content. We have plenty of content.

I am here because too many gifted, faithful women are trying to build God-given visions through patterns of pressure they were never meant to carry.

I believe there is another way to live, lead, and build.

And that is what I will be exploring here.

A Different Way to Build

Maybe the invitation is not to push harder, blame yourself, or keep patching the surface while the same pattern keeps running underneath.

Maybe the invitation is to let God show you what has been shaping the flow.

For some women, that means recognizing where they have been holding back because visibility, selling, pricing, or being fully seen still feels unsafe.

For others, it means seeing where overgiving has become tangled with love, sacrifice, or the need to be needed.

For others, the tender place is receiving. They are praying for clients, money, support, rest, or recognition, but when those things come close, something inside braces instead of opens.

And for some women, the issue is capacity. They are asking God for increase, but their inner and outer structure does not yet know how to hold more without chaos, pressure, or self-abandonment.

These are not surface questions.

They are the questions that change how a woman builds.

Because when the pattern changes, the business can breathe differently.

The invitations become cleaner. The follow-up becomes lighter. Receiving becomes safer. Stewardship becomes stronger. Peace returns.

And what once felt blocked can begin to flow.

Open the Flow — Saturday, July 25

On Saturday, July 25, I am leading a live experience called Open the Flow.

Identify the Hidden Pattern Blocking Your Clients, Cash Flow, and Peace.

Together, we will identify the hidden flow pattern most affecting your business right now.

You will create a personal Flow Map showing where God is inviting you to release, receive, strengthen, and declare—and leave with one clear next right action from peace rather than pressure.

Saturday, July 25
9:00 AM Pacific
Live on Zoom
$47 — Free for Prosper Leader Members

Reserve My Seat for Open the Flow

If something in you whispered, “I think this might be me,” I would love to have you in the room.

And if this way of thinking about faith, life, business, and prosperity speaks to something in you, I invite you to join me here.

Subscribe now

This is the conversation I am here to have—and we are just getting started.

Praying YOU prosper in ALL things,

Brenda
