I spent most of today reviewing and assessing the remarks made by Donald Trump last evening at Mount Rushmore. I have posted a number of Notes about this today and you might avail yourself of these to see the perfectly awful details of Trump’s soul-wearying rhetoric.

Chiefly though Trump was making a pretty standard (meaning insane) anti-cultural-Marxist case for the chief threat facing the USA today being what Trump termed “communists”, which basically is what he and I suppose the Republican Party are now calling Democrats, or anybody whose politics or thinking veers even a bit to the left of Joseph Goebbels and Stephen Miller.

Now, of course “the man” cannot admit to anybody that he is asking that guy for help. I mean—come on—that guy has been his nemesis forever. But it makes sense that his nemesis would agree to the clandestine meetup in some dark alley, because most former presidents are willing to offer the current boss advice if and when they are asked for it. You don’t have to like or agree with the current chief executive of the USA. You just go when and where you have to, and you tell him exactly what you think he needs to hear.

Fortunately, I am able to let you hear how that went. I think you’ll agree the nemesis definitely told “the man” exactly what he needed to hear, and what we all would love to be able to tell him. I mean, we’re all Americans, or something I suppose. We’re in this together—just not all in extraordinarily privileged circumstances enabling us to mass-murder people on a whim, while bragging about ending an entire nation, and totally fucking over (once again) the people we were elected to serve. And the whole world too.

There’s a line in “Sinners”, something to the effect that white people like the blues just fine, they just don’t like the people who play it. When it comes to the Bible, it’s the opposite problem. Christians (of a demonic variety) like Secretary Pete just love the idea of white Jesus, who was magically de-Jewed when the WHITE-dove Holy Spirit put his foreskin back on, but they really don’t like what Jesus is playing and saying. Because it is difficult to imagine NT Jesus getting real positive about the soul review Pete is gonna get when the time for that comes. “Lethality” is not one of Jesus’ favorite terms of mission. Instead, he preaches about love, forgiveness, charity till it hurts really bad, and other things most Americans count as stupid and subversive.

But the main reason DJT appointed or anointed Pete as his pusher of death is Pete preaches a thoroughly MMA-style Jesus whose mission profile is kind of a lot like that of the people who run Iran. In fact, it is the great similarity in character and style between the goons of the current USA regime, and the (surviving) goons of the current Iranian regime which should get your attention.

Anyway, as part of today’s war review DJT was kind enough to let his Secretary of Death offer up a small sermon, which I am sure will move you in accord with its deeply soulful aims and sincerity.

Lethality is not just a mission description. It’s all there really is in the current regime. Better that you accept that now and get all the congenial and hopeful bats out of your belfry.

The whole premise of military service is an interesting one. We are supposed to be impressed by the civilian command thing, where people with absolutely no military training and no experience of combat are given supreme authority to order around the most dangerous human organization in the history of the world. The idea of that is it is supposed to be some kind of protection against military coups. The suits are more powerful than the spears. Uh-huh.

But there is another idea that comes with that. It is the idea of the civilian-military social contract. What’s that? It’s this: In return for the volunteers agreeing to obey all kinds of dubious orders from the untrained and unready civilian leadership, the civilian leadership promises not to be a bunch of fucking assholes. Let’s just say that part of the social contract has been broken beyond all hope of repair for a long time now.

And, you know, you’ve got a guy in charge now who thinks people who join the military and get killed in service to the nation are chumps, suckers, and losers. And he’s a criminal, so that is special huh?

I am supposed to immediately tell you, as if ethics has anything to do with anything in war, that what you will listen to is 100% generated by AI. But if I said that to you, it would not be entirely true. After all, it is AI generated after I shaped that generation according to a very carefully sculpted set of assumptions and scenario parameters. I became curious about a question and pursued it to the point of making this fake war policy debate. Except, if the words still add up to a debate about war policy, is it fake?

Now, if I had not told you it was fake and you listened to it all vulnerable and ignorant, because you have zero built-in or hard-won filters for fakery in your poor little heads, I suppose something terrible could have happened. Like you might have believed something that wasn’t true. Yes, that would be a great tragedy. But at least in that event you would be highly qualified to vote for president of the United States.

However, from the standpoint of your war-mongering turdmeisters, a much greater tragedy would be if you listened to this thing and believed something that was true, or was plausible. Because of course that might successfully prosecute and convict the claim that a lethal ethos is all anybody needs to be a successful blower-upper these days.

If you have paid any attention at all to Iranian principles and national identify since 1979, I believe it would be fair to say that possessing a lethal ethos and acting on it are right up there with their most cherished cultural characteristics. So all they would be missing then to be true agents of a Hegseth-style ethos is sufficient technology and skill in using it to strike a blow for—whatever it is Iranians believe in these days.

Anyway, the debate in my fake podcast is not about what Iranians believe in, but about what Chinese leaders believe in and about what they might be motivated by the current crisis to get away with. I think you will find the conversation quite interesting. Not just in that it does discuss a plausible reality you likely have heard nothing about whatsoever—because it is admittedly pretty conjectural—but also because this is way more interesting than the vast majority of stuff being MSM’d on the already BAF (boring as fuck) next war.

I mean, it is way past time to worry about AI taking your job. AI is totally positioned already to take, shake, and rebake you whole shtik, your whole posture, your whole pretense that you know anything at all and can express it to anybody and that they will give you more than a second’s worth of fuck.

Uh-oh, there the second went.

You are nothing but data. And for most of you that amounts to a really useless negative prompt.

AI is reality.

Earlier today I posted the text of this podcast as a note, and I decided it might be useful to speak it for those who cannot or will not read. While preparing the audio I was thinking of what a useful illustration might be for this, and that was the one I came up with. I like the fact this is such a potentially offensive image in so many ways. And yet it is completely consistent with the ideas the Founders had about healthy American political action. It is not the 1st Amendment OR the 2nd Amendment. It is the 1st Amendment AND the 2nd Amendment. And yes, I understand you are full of “whatabouts”. But all those things are gonna happen anyway. The guns are not making people violent. Glorification of violence, by the state and its corporate enablers, is making people violent. Economic desperation, pervasive and increasing inequality, mutant Christianity (devoted to destroying the enemies of heteronormative, hyper-racist, woman-hating, white people), and the burgeoning sense of global hopelessness, are making people violent.

That is not something that just started with Donald Trump. That is something that started, as Rousseau pointed out, when some asshole drew a big rectangle in the dirt and claimed to own the ground inside it, and people were stupid enough to let him get away with it. Obviously, not everybody can have a rectangle of dirt so they had to limit the rectangles by charging everybody lots of money to get one. And anyway, that’s really good business. And now the Earth and the people on it are entirely owned.

It was thought back in 1776 that maybe some kind of democratic republic might be a good way to try to insure as many rectangles and as much liberty to as many people as possible (except for the exceptions, including women, that actually amounted to most of the people). Anyway, those wealthy white men thunk on it real hard and decided that two main ideas: freedom of speech and the right to keep and bear arms, were pretty fundamental to liberty. Plenty of people ever since, on the left and the right, have deeply opposed those rights. In fact a freely speaking person bearing a firearm sounds like a recipe for disaster to many Americans, including interestingly enough, the Trump regime, which has apparently only just figured out that even people who are not MAGAs, and who you might say are the opposite of MAGAs, so even very intelligent and well-informed people, have the constitutional right to keep and bear arms in the USA.

Then you might upon reflection ask the question “So what?” Like what are you going to do about it or with it, and why and all that. Those are good questions. Those are necessary questions, given our reality.

I would not think some of the answers will make everyone feel a lot better and safer. But as has been pointed out over and over, the cost of liberty is sometimes high. Of course, you can choose not to pay that cost. That is what most people have chosen in history. To choose alleged safety over liberty. But that always seems to have a pretty short and brutal shelf life.

The people that got on those infamous trains did so because they were good, law-abiding, peace-loving citizens. It would never have occurred to them that armed resistance against the state was an answer. Well, it didn’t occur to them until it was too late, when they realized that the state’s final solution to the problem of their existence was to exterminate them like rats. And you know the state claimed it was all legal, worked out by the best and the brightest, including lawyers, so nothing to worry about.

As I say in the note and podcast:

If the White House needs renovations, because rich folks need a real space for all the ballers and the balling, Trump will bring out the bulldozers—and stiff ‘em—because he’s always trying to save the people money!

If Venezuela needs to be convinced to stop doing—whatever the fuck it is they are doing—I mean it must be something, right?—then Trump will send in the combined military forces of the American empire to stand ready to do what is necessary—to all those little boats full of bad stuff and people.

And if Jesus turns out to have run his course and to no longer be all that useful for saving people and helping them be the best Americans they can be, you know Donald Trump is gonna do everything in his power and pugnacious chutzpah to set things far right for America.

So, this latest development should come as no surprise.

Somewhere down there (below in the hell of this labyrinthine dash through a mesquite break to safety) I will confess this is sort of a Netflix streamer review that morphs into a cultural and then a political critique, via a chainsaw and a healthy scream of horror and outrage, framed and illuminated by a dagger moon of memoir drenched in vaginal orations—or maybe—it is the other way around, bolstered and valorized with astrologically antecedent anal retentions. Most noble ones of course.

Because…you see…and maybe even smell…

I have started this thing many times, and written prefaces I thought were funny or at least OK. I started another one yesterday (or at least it was yesterday weeks ago when I wrote that), which I liked because it just got to the point, which is, you may have already guessed, blunt and bloody really, so do we want to get to that…p…p…point? Yet again? Because your eyes or your decent reserves, most mollycoddled and mild, might end up skewered on it Yet again. And who needs that on an insufferable little Friday in December, with seasonal boughs made of shrieks and shrunken heads, in the year of your Satanic Majesty, 2025?

Wow, that’s very florid.

But then I reviewed this following bit from a couple of weeks ago (or years of weeks ago now?) and I thought why not sew this onto the beginning of the other thing and then pretend like I just intended this flow of patchwork skin all along? Yeah, why not? It’s not like you’ll ever find out I did that. Because—like—I’ll just keep the truth to myself. And you’ll be in the dark. Pretty smart of me. Pretty dim of you. Unshocking then.

And see, especially now, long after that moldy proto-preface and whatever premise it was supposed to serve have gone to get their just deserts at the big cafeteria of anogenital ambitions, I just feel like starting my chainsaw, powering up its tearing, shredding, procession of points, which we like to call its teeth, and getting on with things.

Because as a great philosopher once said:

Let’s say it was the USA who stupidly launched an attack on some enemy on October 7, 2023. It is not so hard to imagine the USA doing such a thing, is it? The USA has often done such a thing. The difference is the USA, unlike Hamas, usually picks on people who are woefully weaker than itself when it launches stupid wars. But let’s say this time the USA picked on the wrong enemy, and suffered the same rate of casualties as the Palestinians living in Gaza.

Here is a useful table to assist your understanding:

Now, let’s pretend for a moment, and I know it takes lots of your brain power these days to put on Mr. Pretender, but go ahead and give it a try, and just pretend you and all the other Americans were not fat, stupid, lazy blobs of sloth and don’t-give-a-fuck. You might have to turn MP up to 11. So, go ahead. Probably should tell the cat to go into another room, ‘cause it might spark or something.

Now, in your pristinely patriotic pretended reality, is there any fucking way in the world of possibilities the USA would just sit there and go—oh, aren’t we lucky it is only 39 million casualties? Remind us to thank our generous enemies for keeping the number so low and compassionate.

Because I really don’t think—again in Mr. Pretender terms—that it would go that way. I think instead Americans would say and do whatever they had to do to get a cease fire. And then, just like I imagine the Iranians are doing right now—because no, you did not destroy their nuclear program you incredible idiots—I think Americans would secretly and yet still collectively pledge themselves to the destruction of the enemy who did this—no matter how long it took.

And no, it wouldn’t make any difference about whose fault it was. Because we would be way way beyond that bullshit. It would just be those motherfuckers need to be dead dead dead! And that would become the driving force of American existence—until the enemy looked just like Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

That is how the Palestinians see the world. Because I figure they are are at least as passionate about giving a fuck about what happened as you would be if you lived in the Mr. Pretender Alternate reality world, instead of the one you actually inhabit.

Good.

So, when we talk about “peace” as a concept between Israelis and Palestinians, it is a highly relative concept, not likely to resemble anything like any peace you have ever read about or watched on some “and they all lived happily together in two states ever after” historical handjob.

OK, so now that we have that out of the way, let’s talk about this “peace” deal.

First off, achieving a deal at this point, if your only aim is to get the two sides to stop shooting at each other and make a bunch of vain promises, is not any big achievement. It is always the fine and not so fine print that has presented the problem with sustainability of any fancy Middle East peace deal.

For example, even Benjamin Netanyahu would have done peace a long time ago if he had some guarantee it would work out politically and legally for him. You know like he could be guaranteed a comfortable exile in Mar-a-Lago or something. But a lot of Netanyahu’s political support on the far right (imagine Taliban who can actually read and write and employ technology) wants war forever—until the Palestinian problem has a final solution. And they don’t mean two states.

And of course even now Hamas is threatening to pull out of the deal if the final details look too much like Hamas was totally defeated, even though Gaza sure looks like they totally were. But we have been here so many times, with some American president claiming peace in the Middle East, and that peace never lasts.

Of course everyone is saying that this time things will be different. Israelis now love Donald Trump a lot more than Americans do. Trump can’t wait to go to Israel to dance or carefully sway some kind of revolting victory jig. I doubt Palestinians can even work up the energy to love anything about this deal—except maybe now they will stop being killed for a while. As we said above, their longer term motives might be a bit complicated.

But, from a purely American perspective, in a few days we have gone from Trump is obviously a fascist—which still seems a fair charge—to maybe giving Trump the Nobel Peace Prize is justified—and why not give one to Netanyahu and Jared Kushner while you’re at it? I mean it’s the straight to streaming version, right? A real bizarro-AI Nobel for a real bizarro-AI peace.

The Wall Street Journal, among many other MSMs noted there were quite a few kinks in the peace deal that remained to be worked out:

“…technical teams were still trying to resolve the details of many of the substantive issues that had derailed previous rounds of talks, with Hamas officials warning negotiators in Sharm El Sheikh that they could still walk away if key demands weren’t met.”

Right, because this is Israel and Hamas. This is the Middle East. They have been at this war and peace thing longer than anybody else on the planet. They know a lot about how to lie to some fool—like Donald Trump—who thinks he can bully them to make a real and lasting peace.

But a game-show peace to get (how many?) hostages released, and to get some breathing space in Gaza so Palestinians can be shown eating something other than dirt and sea water, and to get Trump his game-show peace prize? Yeah, everybody can play that game.

One more time.

Also:

“As reported by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, there is a complex dynamic between Hamas’s exiled political leaders and the military commanders on the ground in Gaza. While the negotiators based abroad have influence, the ultimate decision on matters like the hostages and on-the-ground fighters lies with the leadership in Gaza. This means an agreement from one branch does not automatically guarantee compliance from the other.”

So who is even doing the negotiation for Hamas and its allies?

And who controls all the hostages? It may not even be Hamas. If they don’t release all the hostages, because lots of them are buried under rubble or are held by non-Hamas fighters who don’t want to give them up, then what?

Trump has said release all of the hostages or all hell would break loose. But Trump has also said it would be a good idea if all the Palestinians would just get the hell out of Gaza and go live someplace else—preferably not Detroit—and also when can Trump start building that enormous and highly gilded gambling casino complex all over Gaza? Because he said that was his peace plan—really it was Kushner’s idea many years ago and before him I think Sheldon Adelson thought it was a good investment idea too. And certainly Netanyahu was all hot for it—and no doubt most of the Arab countries too so long as none of them would have to host any Palestinian refugees.

But now that Gaza has been pulverized, and all those Palestinians will need jobs, and so long as Trump makes it quite clear that Gaza will be run as a completely self-contained Trump Organization project for the exploitation of the land and the remaining population, but there won’t be any (OK, too many) Israeli flags flying about, certainly the Palestinians will finally see reason!

Uh-huh.

Big Beautiful Peace Prize

As you may have seen, Norway announced today that Donald Trump did not win this year’s Nobel Peace Prize. They gave it to a woman who speaks Spanish!…and like:

“…for her tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela and for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy.”

So, the very opposite of everything Donald Trump stands for.

Anyway, reports indicate Oslo is preparing to be accidentally-on-purpose carpet-bombed by the indignant US peace-mongering fearless leader.

Oh wait! This just in:

I just think that makes him so relatable. Don’t you? Because who wouldn’t react that way, right?

Meanwhile, the director of White House communications, Steven Cheung, reminded everyone that the losers at the Nobel Committee had placed politics over peace and that:

“[Trump] has the heart of a humanitarian, and there will never be anyone like him who can move mountains with the sheer force of his will.”

OK, then.

Don’t forget to turn off your Mr. Pretender. You know how it makes you feel if you pretend you live in a different country than you do, where people give a fuck, for too long. You might do something rash like join Antifa. Or fail to wildly celebrate the greatest achievement in peace in the history of the world while chanting that you love Trump more than your children. And that will just get you fired from your job or visited at your home or work by large mutants in tactical gear with disappearing you as their number one daily to-do-ey.

And you wouldn’t want that, would you?
