Tossed around by the waves of circumstance.

The key to designing a fulfilling life is to set clear, meaningful goals that align with your values and aspirations.

Just Go With the Flow Is A Terrible Advice

The common advice I hear most people give is to “just go with the flow”.

Those who fall for this trap pay the ultimate price: a life of regret, a standard of mediocrity, and a mountain of wasted potential.

The structure of society is not designed for your overall goodness.

It’s designed to make you a cog in a machine. A useful worker.

Most people avoid setting goals because they fear to step into the unknown.

A sign that they lack self-belief.

Or the belief that goals are too restrictive.

“If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.” - Jim Rohn

Without goals, you’re letting external agents dictate your path. Instead of consciously creating your own.

Consider someone who roam from job to job. They will never find satisfaction in what they do because they haven’t defined what they truly want.

When you set clear goals, find purpose, direction, and a renewed sense of energy, your mind will filter information the information it receives to orient your life in the direction of the goals you have set.

You’ll start to gain social capital from the work you were putting in every day.

Realize that goals aren’t prisons, but rather compasses that guide you toward what truly matters.

Grab A Pen And A Paper

Most people struggle to set and achieve goals because they lack a clear system and framework.

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry said it best, “A goal without a plan is just a wish.”

A well-defined goal is half-achieved.

Grab a pen and paper. Go as deep as you can and be brutally honest with yourself as you do this exercise.

If you just want to do this exercise with Ai, then skip to the end and grab the Pathfinder to complete this section with.

If you asked me to give you a plan for your life I couldn’t. I don’t have your frame of mind and the unique experiences you’ve had through your life.

That is why I want you to take this little exercise personal. You’ll come out of it with a streamlined plan that fits you perfectly. Taking into account your unique experiences.

• Clarify Your Values: What truly matters to you? Is it freedom, impact, creativity? Find the underlying drive in the things you can’t pull yourself away from.

• Define Your Vision: What does your ideal life look like in 5, 10, or 20 years? A compelling vision provides a North Star, guiding your actions and decisions.

  Visualizing yourself living in a beautiful home, surrounded by loved ones, doing work you enjoy.

• Set SMART Goals: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound. SMART goals transform vague aspirations into concrete action plans. Instead of “I want to be rich,” set a goal like “I will increase my income by 20% in the next 6 months.”

• Break Goals Down into Actionable Steps: Break down your goals into smaller, manageable tasks. Actionable steps make overwhelming goals feel less daunting. And provide a clear path forward.

  If your goal is to write a book, break it down into daily word count targets or the number of pages you will write each day.

• Track Your Progress and Adjust: Monitor your progress regularly and make adjustments as needed. “The distance between dreams and reality is called discipline.” - Unknown.

  Tracking progress keeps you motivated. It allows you to identify and overcome obstacles. Using a habit tracker to monitor daily activities that contribute to your goals.
  

• Celebrate Your Wins: Acknowledge and celebrate your achievements, no matter how small. Give yourself small treats when you accomplish your goals. This gives your brain the dopamine feel and reinforces those behaviors. You’ll be more motivate to finish the next task. Celebrating small wins reinforces positive behavior and keeps you motivated.

  Treat yourself to a small reward after completing a major milestone.

  It can be any activity you like to do. Like a 15 minutes video game, 10 minutes walk in the park.

  My personal favorites is a 10 or 15 minutes TedX talk.

Changing who you are is difficult.

It takes intention and effort and nobody..nobody can do it for you.

So to begin conditioning your mind for success,
you must set new goals for a higher quality of life.

You can immerse yourself in the information that will condition a new perspective. Make progress and notice the positive outcome it has on your life.

It’s easy to get lost if you don’t have self generated goals.

Your mind is conditioned to focus on the goals society assigned to you. Your path is already known. Go to school, get a job, retire. You end up dragging your feet through life and getting bored because you don’t care about those things. You fill your boredom with laziness and pleasure instead of building toward your own goal.

List of life changing things you should be doing, but find them difficult to do:

• Read more

• Do hard stuff

• Exercise daily

• Eat less carbs

• Get rid of sugar

• Build a business

• Start an investment

• Long focused work

• Stop procrastinating

• Reduce social media

• Complete the course

• Respect different opinions

• Make the difficult phone call

Let’s say you will live for 100 years. If you’re lucky. The average life expectancy in the world is only 72 years (around 3,700 weeks). It may look like a long time, but it’s not. And if you are a 30-year-old, you have already spent 1,500 weeks.

You need self awareness to know that we don’t have as much time as we think we have.

You should make the best use of the time we are given. You already know that and have been told that thousands of times, but do you make the best use of your time?
Do you love the things that you do?
Are you around with the people you love?

Life is short for doing the things you hate or not doing the things you want to do. The regret will be huge when you’re old. Imagine you’re almost 80, looking back at things and wishing you did something differently. You lived a life how you wanted, not how others wanted. You will regret all the moments you wasted being lazy, sitting on a couch watching T.V. for no reason, spending hours daily scrolling social media with no purpose.

The Magic In 1-2 Hours Of Focus

You can drastically change your life in 3-6 months with 1 hour a day of pure focus

Most people underestimate how fast life can change.

If you gave yourself just 1 hour a day of focused action—for 3 to 6 months—you could rebuild your life from scratch.

But here’s the truth: The people who turn their lives around aren’t “lucky.”

They just stopped doing what kept them stuck.

They dropped the video games, the late night Netflix, the endless scrolling, the cheap dopamine—and picked up discipline, skills, and vision.

It’s not magic. It’s math. You cut what drains you and double down on what builds you. If you’re in your 20s, now is the time to lay the foundation for the next decade.

In 2023 I dedicated hours to gain knowledge in Coaching and Career guidance.

How To Discover Your Purpose

The purpose of life is to do meaningful work, when you want and where you want.

There are only 3 kinds of people when it comes to having direction in life.

1. People who don’t know what they would like to do.

3. People who know what they would like to do and do it.

The third kind of people know themselves, possess strong passion, grow in areas that help them move closer to their purpose, and do what they were created to do.

If you are confused on what you want, make that your highest priority.

Experiment with everything you can imagine.
New jobs,
new skills,
new interests,
new places,
new people until you find the one you can’t pull yourself away from.

You are bored because you don’t have a goal that demands you to acquire new knowledge, learn the skills to solve the challenges life presents you.

You are anxious because your current knowledge and experience is limited to solve the problems facing you.

You need to pursue new information, learn new skills in order to operate at the level the challenges you face demands.

Life becomes interesting when you can move up the level of personal development by solving problems and unlocking the next quest.

Reinvent Yourself

You are currently the product of your past habits and the expectations of others.

If you want a different future, you must become a different person.

Most people treat change like a massive, daunting mountain. They wait for the ‘perfect moment’ to start, which never comes. But change isn’t a grand, singular event—it’s a compounding interest. If you want to reinvent your life, you have to stop looking at the years ahead and start looking at the 60 minutes in front of you.

Here are 3 basic actions that will lead to transformation:

1. Map out your ideal future in as much detail as possible.

2. Throw yourself into a new physical and digital environment. Drown yourself in knowledge & potential.

3. Stick with the discomfort. Resist the urge to retreat to your old comfortable ways.

The plan is to move. Move out. Move on. Move up. Move smarter.

You don’t want to stay stuck in the same situation forever.

Devour your old-self and focus on building your new self.

You have to break new ground.

Get into the habit of stepping out of your comfort zone.

• Read more books

• Start working out

• Choose healthier foods

Build and max all areas of your life.

Effortless Productivity

One hour of deep work, repeated every day for a year on a meaningful goal, will take you further than most people who spend all day busy but never build anything that truly matters.

The biggest trap of the 21st century is distraction. You wake up and immediately hand your attention to notifications, emails, social media, and other people’s priorities. By the time you finally work on your own goals, your best energy is already gone. Most people are consistent but on the wrong things.

Build a project.

One that you choose to build. One that forces you to learn something new. One that’s just challenging enough to fulfill you.

Most people lose their zest for life because the only projects they work on are those their boss, teacher, or society assigned to them. Nothing will bring you fulfillment than pursuing your own goals.

At that point, work no longer feels like work. Most people hide behind busywork when all they really need is a skill and a project to build.

The work makes them “look” busy to other people. But deep down they know they’re frauds and are fooling themselves.

Protect the first hour of your day: You need to dedicate the first hour to lever moving activities that will steer your life towards the direction you want:

You don’t need to work longer. You need bursts of focused intensity “work”.

Life was in a standstill. Slow progress.

It didn’t feel like I was in control anymore.

I could see everything drop-off.

I don’t have everything figured out right now.

That is exactly why I am writing to you this letter.

To give you a fresh perspective on progress, the Unknown and how to hold it down whiles you are figuring it out.

The Problem

Most people expect life to be a certain way. They have this idea they think will change the world. They give it a shot for a few weeks, see no results and then they quit.

They have this anticipation that their idea will blow up in 3 weeks and then they will become the next millionaire they’ve always dreamt of. Life is a not a love story. Where you have a forever happy ending.

It has always felt that my life unfolded in phases. In one phase, I felt lost. In another, pinned to my desk. Surging with energy. Deep in the flow state. Building out my future. In another phase, I was going through the motions, but with enjoyment.

The beauty of life is often found not just in all of the positives. You really need the negatives of life to appreciate anything.

There is no light without dark. And whenever you’re in a dark place, you need to see it as a springboard for the light which is coming. If everything went well in your life all of the time, if every single time you went anywhere, nothing bad ever happened, if every single girl you tried to talk to wanted you, if it was always a green light, if everything went perfectly all of the time, you know what? You’d be miserable. You’d be miserable if everything was perfectly easy all of the time.

Struggle, pain, confusion, uncertainty is baked into reality itself. Humans need struggle. We need the dark to appreciate the light.

I am not saying accept these as normal part of your life. I am simply telling you to appreciate these as phases of your life and treat it as just — a phase of life.

Time moves on and in the end, you’re going to look back on it all, as crazy as it is, as a happy memory.

The Phases Of Life

The best periods of my life often came after a period of getting absolutely fed up with the lack of progress I was making. I wouldn’t drown in the negative energy. I would channel it toward building something great. 99% of people are trapped because they see negativity as a bad thing. It’s supposed to be there. It’s a part of life.

Learn to use it for good.

Whenever I reach a phase of life where confusion sets in, I build.

Having a goal gives you direction in life. It forces you to order consciousness.

When you are confused, explore the Unknown. Set a project.

A “project” can be anything.

Your health can be a project. Your business can be a project. An image in Canva can be a project.

A project is simply a structured way of achieving a goal, or making progress toward a goal.

It’s a way to further narrow your focus so your mind can notice useful information as you learn.

I have explored and learnt useful skills in the phases of my life when life was spiraling downwards.

I explored new skills I was interested in. I allowed my curiosity to guide me into the unknown to identify new domain of mastery.

I spent 6 months of deep focus to learn high value skills like graphic design, coding, writing etc. They have proved to be useful investment of my time.

I am currently exploring prompt engineering. Ai is penetrating every industry today. Health, education, business, communication etc. One must get in the game to learn how to play by the rules, break the rules and utilize it to your advantage.

As an example, I asked Ai to give me a 12-month life quest. I gave it a fancy name. Zero To Hero.

If You Are Confused Build A Project

Humans thrive when the mind is ordered.

That is, when they have a hierarchy of goals to pursue, like quests in a game.

When you are confused, you are simply suffering from a lack of “idea density.”

You haven’t started a project, failed, and been given a REASON to look up something specific.

This is where most creatives go wrong. ↓

They try to “find themselves” by consuming more information.

They fall into “tutorial hell.”

They soak up advice, podcasts, and books, but they never do.

The beautiful thing about the internet is that you can build your project in public.

You don’t need to be a guru.

People don’t follow ‘gurus’ anymore.

They follow humans who can teach, lead, and relate.

If you’re always trying to sound smart,

You’ll lose the people you’re trying to help.

You just need to be a human sharing your experience as you explore the unknown areas of life.

When you commit to a project, you stop being a passive consumer and start being a conscious creator.

You move from lower consciousness (reacting to the system of society) to higher consciousness (building your own systems).

Design Your Life As A Game

A project is the ultimate tool for competence.

And competence converts to dopamine.

Having a vision – that you create – gives you a sense of control over your life. A purpose that fuels your present actions.

That vision presents a hierarchy of goals that increase in challenge as you acquire the skills necessary to achieve those goals.

This is how you create an endless source of good dopamine.

A vision that is a conscious personal creation forces you to focus your mind.

A focused mind is the source of life enjoyment.

Without a vision, you inevitably become a slave to the system.

Here is how to gamify your growth and escape stagnation.

1. Define Your “Anti-Vision”

Most people don’t know what they want, but they know exactly what they want through experience.

Use that.

List out the things you don’t want: broke, distracted, unfulfilled, or working for someone else’s dream for the rest of your life.

This is your compass.

If a habit or a project doesn’t move you away from this “Anti-Vision,” cut it.

2. Select A “High-Value Skill” Project

Don’t just “learn to code” or “learn to write.”

Build something specific.

• Instead of “learning design,” build a landing page for an MVP product.

• Instead of “learning marketing,” write a 5-day email sequence.

• Instead of “learning to write,” build an audience of 100 people.

A project gives you a deadline.

Deadlines create the friction necessary for growth.

3. The Micro-Commitment

The biggest enemy of progress is the “all or nothing” mind virus.

You think you need 4 hours of deep work to make progress.

You don’t.

Commit to 15 minutes.

If you can’t find 15 minutes, you aren’t busy—you are distracted.

Protect this time like your life depends on it.

Because it does.

4. Document Your Journey

When you hit a wall, don’t quit.

Document your journey.

Share what you are learning, your struggles, and what you are trying to fix.

This is how you build social capital.

People don’t follow experts; they follow people who are one step ahead of them on the same journey.

5. The Focus Dividend

At the end of 30 days, look at your output.

Did you move the needle?

If yes, double down.

If no, pivot.

Remember, no feedback is still feedback.

If something isn’t working, pivot. Don’t quit.

Being intentional will get you what you want

For the next 365 days:

• Replace Netflix with books.

• Replace gossip with podcasts.

• Replace scrolling with learning.

• Replace comfort with discipline.

Apply what you learn to a meaningful project.

The easiest way to get ahead in life is to commit to a period of skill development. Set your life as a project.

6-12 months. Pure focus for 2-4 hours a day. Learning and building.

Not just binge watching tutorials, but creating quality projects that you, others, or businesses could actually benefit from.

Most people won’t do it but those who do launch ahead of everyone else.

You’ve been conditioned to rely on external systems—parents, schools, employers—to secure your future, keeping you comfortable enough to survive, but never truly free.

Ideas Are The New Currency

The conventional(old) economy was a masterclass in control.

It trained people into replaceable jobs, offering a salary that was just enough to keep them compliant, but never enough to truly thrive.

You were taught to trade your most precious resource—your time—for money, often attaching your identity to a status symbol rather than genuine financial independence.

Your salary, while providing a roof and groceries, was by design never meant to reflect the true, multi-million-dollar worth of your knowledge and ideas. It was a system built to keep you dependent, perpetually chasing a carrot on a stick.

Most people drastically underestimate how much others would be willing to pay for their expertise.

They believe their knowledge is “basic” or “common,” yet they consume “basic” content all day. The truth is, your brain holds $100,000 of untapped value, if not more.

Your unique experiences, your hard-won lessons, your expertise, even your failures—these aren’t just memories. They are assets. They are solutions to problems that countless others are currently facing.

The internet has changed everything.

We haven’t just entered another renaissance era; we’re in the second renaissance. Ideas are the new oil, and wealth is built not just in physical spaces, but overwhelmingly in the digital realm.

Technology has decentralized learning and business, shattering the old gatekeepers.

You can learn virtually anything in 6 months and receive money from anyone around the world. Softwares and startups such as Paypal, Paystack, Selar, Blockchain have decentralized the financial system making money transfer across the globe easy, safe, secure and fast.

I know this firsthand.

In 2019, I hit a breaking point. I was fed up with my progress, doing construction work and hawking on streets just to get by, without an assurance of a place.

The constant worry about my next meal created a quiet, persistent pain.

I was motivated by stories of people who had learned digital skills and landed freelance jobs with good pay. I believed deeply that I could achieve the same if I dedicated my time to learning a skill.

I saved up enough money to buy a laptop, enrolled in an online course on Coursera, and began learning every single day—night and day. I studied Project Management, Design, Programming, and Data Analytics.

Six months later, I landed my first job as a Project Manager, earning five times more than I’d ever made.

As Steve Jobs said, “Your time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life.”

That job changed everything.

With the added skills I picked up, I co-founded my first business with a friend.

This transformation proved to me that skills are the key to financial freedom, and that true independence is built by taking your education into your own hands.

Your Path to Independent Wealth: Create, Distribute, Thrive

The path to independent wealth will not come from saving pennies for decades. Understand the new rules of value creation and distribution.

Step 1: Identify Your Unique Product.

A product is anything you sell:

• a service,

• a course,

• a todo list,

• a template etc.

Don’t think you need a fancy gadget or huge capital.

If you have results, you can help someone else achieve them.

Start by identifying a problem you’ve solved for yourself or for others. Document the process. Distill it into a replicable system. This is your product.

You can package your unique experience, your hard-won lessons, and your expertise into templates, checklists, courses, books, webinars, or other mediums that can help others. Most people are sitting on a goldmine of skills, experience, and knowledge that they can use to help people 1-2 steps behind them. That is what people pay for.

Step 2: Build Your Distribution.

A great product is useless if no one sees it.

Distribution is getting what you build in front of people who care.

The internet is the most accessible stage for this.

The backend of the internet is code. The frontend is media.

Media is your megaphone.

Build an audience by consistently writing—write shortform post for growth, longform post for authority and trust.

Write social media posts, newsletters, or scripts that turn into videos and audio for platforms like YouTube and podcasts. Writing allows you to become a one-person media company, cross-posting your value across multiple platforms and reaching a global audience.

Learn to write.

It takes time to realize that writing is the highest leverage work.

You must synthesize your value into impactful ideas that live in the heads of others rent free and influence their thoughts and behaviors.

You do this by writing emails, content, guides, and products with persistent and iterative effort.

Writing is the foundation of communication.

Communication is how you distribute value.

Distributing value is how you attract people.

If you don’t attract people, you will never have someone else in the value exchange process.

This isn’t a job where someone hands you a paycheck for completing mechanical tasks that will be replaced.

This is a purpose that must be shared by another in order to earn a creative income.

Step 3: Focus on Value Creation.

Stop complaining about what you’re paid. Instead, start asking: “What value do I contribute?”

Money is simply a unit of value.

The more valuable problems you solve, the more value you create, the more money you will attract.

Become a problem-solver, a creator, an innovator.

Learn what works, not just follow mechanical tasks assigned to you.

Your focus should shift from merely working a job to get by to actively learning and creating solutions that improve lives.

Step 4: Embrace Experimentation and Innovation.

The creator economy is the decentralized school system.

Creators are solving their own problems, forging new paths, creating new jobs, and teaching what they learn through content.

• Break out of your bubble of comfort

• Follow new people distributing life-changing information

• Invest in non-traditional education for non-traditional results

• Discover new potentials for your life and act on them

Creators embrace trial and error as the only way to grow.

They understand that fear of experimentation is the enemy of progress.

Don’t be afraid to try new things, to put your ideas out there, and to learn from what doesn’t work.

Imitate what’s already selling and working in the market, then add your unique perspective to innovate and stand out.

This iterative process is how you learn the true principles of success and refine your offerings.

Step 5: Take Ownership of Your Financial Freedom.

“Nobody is coming to save you.”

This is a painful truth.

Reject outdated financial advice that keeps you dependent on external systems.

Stop waiting for permission from your boss, your parents, or the government to build the life you want.

Your financial freedom is your responsibility, and the tools to achieve it are more accessible than ever before.

Take full ownership of your future.

The modern education system is great at one thing: training people into replaceable jobs.

You don’t have to be one of them. People who are trained to work in a factory like robots in an assembly line.

You have the power to take your education into your own hands, to leverage your unique brain, and to build a life of true independence.

Work is a necessary part of modern life. It would be foolish to not pursue something that you are passionate about. Why would you want to spend 40-70% of your life doing something you hate?

A 9-5 job is a great stepping stone, but is often a death sentence. You learn and progress until you’re stuck doing the same thing over and over again. That’s not a meaningful way to live. It psychologically castrates you and bleeds into all areas of your life.

If you want a different outcome you must choose a different path. You need to update your mental software from “Get a job and do that for the rest of my life” as a default setting to:

• get a job,

• start a personal project,

• turn that project into a business,

• make enough money, leave my job,

• and focus on scaling my side hustle as the new path.

You see, everyone needs money.

The easiest way? Get a job.

And 9-5 jobs aren’t bad.

However, it’s not optimal.

You might be earning a profit, but:

• You’re not following your purpose by working a job you hate.

• You’re not free if your boss calls you at night, telling you to show up tomorrow on your day off. If you say no, you lose your job.

• You don’t have time to enjoy life

• You don’t get time to spend with family because you’re required to work like an animal.

You start smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol to “get rid of” the stress.

You may not have been able to avoid a job altogether, but you could sure as hell get out of it before other life responsibilities start to pile up.

3 Habits. 3 Months

You need 3 habits.

One that builds your mind (reading, learning, writing).

One that builds your body (walking, running, nutrition).

One that builds your money (business, skill, investing).

Anything more is a bonus, anything less is self-destructive.

**1. Reading**

Reading keeps you informed and inspired. It broadens your perspective and equips you with the knowledge to innovate.

Build a reading routine into your day.

Either read in the morning or before going to bed. You can start with 10 mins or a page per day.

Begin with 10 minutes a day.

Pick a book that genuinely interests you and commit to reading a bit each day.

Consistency is key.

How I trick myself into reading when I don’t have the strong urge to:

I tell myself I’m only going to read for 2mins. Easy enough right?

After starting, by default I want to make more progress.

So I end up reading for 30 minutes, an hour or for hours instead of 2 minutes.

Consume more longform

If you want to seriously build SOMETHING worthwhile, erase all 5 mindsets I am going to mention for your own good.

1. When you bump into a lengthy video that could change your life, resist the urge to say: “this video is too long. I can’t watch it”.

If you can scroll Tiktok for hours without taking a break, then your “this video is too long” excuse is total crap.

1. When you find a lengthy content, article or write-up that would fix your life, stop saying stuff like: “I don’t like reading lengthy write-ups”.

If you can read meaningless comments at one stance. Mindless entertainment. Then it’s high time you take your informational life seriously.

• Information brings awareness of opportunity

• Awareness of opportunity brings profitable ideas

• Profitable ideas bring positive behavior change

1. When someone recommends a life changing book to you, avoid saying stuff like: “I have never finished a whole book in my life. Reading is so stressful to me”. But you could sit down and read a full romantic novel because it will give you the dopamine hit, yet your pocket is empty.

Inject the same energy into books that will fix your life.

1. I’ve seen a couple of great posts from people who mean well for their audience where they share brilliant and practical business ideas, and also go ahead to share tips on how to execute these ideas, yet you’d find people in the comment section saying stuff like:

“It’s not as easy as you’re saying it”.

“This idea won’t work in this economy”.

“This idea isn’t for those who don’t have money”.

Bla bla bla.

I cringe when I see such shallow minded comments.

When someone shares a practical and rare business idea, kill that part of you that always find reasons why it wouldn’t work. That part of you is your ENEMY.

1. When you purchase a course, and you stop after the first module because it’s boring to you.

Well, you should have known by now that the things that bring you the most success are always the most boring things.

The process of getting something is never fun, the result is what we call fun.

Nothing comes easy that is worth it.

If you can spend 4 hours on mindless entertainment, you can spend 2 hours to fix your life.

**2. Writing**

Writing helps you communicate your ideas clearly and effectively. It enhances your ability to connect with your audience and share your message and offers.

Learning how to grow and refine your thoughts through writing is rewarding in itself. When it comes time to monetize, it gets even better.

I would argue that every beginner should build an audience.

Even if you don’t have a product. Even if you don’t feel ready. Even if no one knows you (yet).

Why?

Because building an audience is the best way to learn the actual skills that make any business work:

• Persuasion

• Writing

• Design

• Psychology

• Human behavior

• Offer creation

And you don’t learn these in theory.

You learn them by showing up online, posting content, testing ideas, and observing what resonates.

The benefits of becoming a creator right now are difficult to contain all in one list, but I’ll try.

1. You are forced to learn every skill required to run a modern business. This is easier than ever thanks to courses, tutorials, and ease of access to tools for practice.

2. You build an audience, AKA social capital, so when you want to build a startup or the business you’ve always dreamed of, you don’t need personal capital or venture capital. You have users for your app and customers for your products.

3. You have a network beyond your audience. You can reach almost anyone on the internet for what you need. If you have 10K followers, and each person following them has 500-1000 followers, and the same for the people following them, you effectively have a network of 10x your audience. (No, you obviously don’t need a lot of followers to earn a living).

4. You can do what you enjoy, attract like-minded people, introduce new people to your skills and interests, and create a meaningful business model you love showing up to every day, even if it’s difficult at times.

5. Since your only levers are writing and building products or services, you can cut your work times down as much as you want. If my audience is growing with 30 minutes of writing, and I send them to a good product, I technically don’t have to work any longer than that – especially if my 30 minutes of writing generates more traffic than someone writing for 8 hours on a book that won’t be seen by anyone.

How do you actually get started?

Writing.

Writing is how you practice thinking.

Writing is how you document your development.

Writing is how you attract supporters for your work.

3. Skill

You need skills.

Because those with rare and useful skills:

• survive even in bad economies

• never stay broke for too long

• can’t be replaced by Ai or cheap labor

In the new world, skills = survival.

You need an indemand skill. Because how much you earn depends on how valuable your skill is.

Money is a unit of value. Value is a measure of how much people care about what you do.

How valuable you are = the magnitude of problems you solve, the results of the solutions you create, and your ability to get people to care about your creation.

If you aren’t happy with how much you make, it may be time to take a brutally honest look at what you contribute to the world.

Focus your early years to build the future you can be proud of.

• Build your mind.

• Build your network.

• Build your business.

Build that thing you always want to build.

No matter how busy you are, set time aside for self development. Learn the future proof skills-stack. Your skills will be your leverage.

Spend your weekends learning to upgrade yourself, and spend your weekdays working for your respective employer and you will never suffer should you lose your job.

You may not have been able to avoid a job altogether, but you could sure as hell get out of it before other life responsibilities start to pile up.

Knowledge is learnt inside school. Wisdom is learnt outside school. Don’t stop learning after you graduate.

School teaches you how to make a living.

Wisdom teaches you how to make a life.

Wisdom is profitable - Get it.

One pattern I’ve noticed in my life is that I’ve always set apart time to build something of my own.

Things like schoolwork, client work, and even projects assigned to me on a job were necessary, but they didn’t bring me the fulfillment I was looking for.

Thanks to deep knowledge being accessible to those who want to find it on the internet, you can become top 10% in any skill with 6-12 months of focused effort.

I realized that the source of most people’s lack of fulfillment is that they’ve never learned or built something that they chose to learn or build.

Since birth the mind was conditioned with the conventional life path. Learn this. Build that. To the point where people hate the only two things that will free them from that enslavement — learning and building. If you did not have parents you were developed to support your dreams, you were conditioned to follow someone else’s dream. Most people don’t know what they want.

They work a job because they want a paycheck. They support party A or B because it is their parents favorite. They follow a certain religious doctrine because that is what they’ve been fed all their life. To a point where they don’t even know what they want.

If you are confused on what you want, make that your highest priority.

Experiment with everything you can imagine. New jobs, new skills, new interests, new places, new people until you find the one you can’t pull yourself away from.

You are bored because you don’t have a goal that demands you to acquire new knowledge, learn the skills to solve the challenges life presents you.

You are anxious because your current knowledge and experience is limited to solve the problems facing you.

You need to pursue new information, learn new skills in order to operate at the level the challenges you face demands.

Life becomes interesting when you can move up the level of personal development by solving problems and unlocking the next quest.

It is your responsibility to take yourself out of any situation you have dug yourself in right now. It is useless to blame something else for all your problems. You can blame your friends, family, spouse, or anyone else. The good thing that blaming others does is that it makes us feel good from the inside by convincing our minds that we can’t do anything in this situation, but that’s wrong. There’s always something that you can do. Even if you can’t change the situation, you can always do the best possible thing

In life, you must push into the unknown to fuel your mind. Growth rarely happen in the known domains of life.

Expose yourself to new information and experience (curiosity).

Create something of value with that information to digest it (passion).

Expand your mind when that experience becomes a part of you with practice (mastery).

Transcend that phase of life by passing down that value to others (connection).

That’s the recipe for the good life:

Create, expand, and transcend with the experience you acquire by pursuing self-generated goals that lead you into the unknown.

The Traits Of An Irreplaceable Individual

To win in life you must find the courage to become a first mover.

And cultivate the traits needed to succeed where most fail.

• Become comfortable with uncertainty

• Become comfortable with taking risks

• Become comfortable with being called a fool until the masses realize you’re actually a genius

To quote Mr. Beast: “You’re called crazy until it works. Then you’re called a genius.”

Only those who fear failure and have a pessimistic world view are ignorant enough to call you crazy.

These people lack the perspective, experience, and knowledge to see the hidden upside that most people are too blind to see.

It isn’t until the upside becomes so obvious that the masses can no longer ignore it.

That’s when most people hop on board.

Once this happens, it’s too late, the profitable opportunity is no longer highly profitable (for beginners).

Back in 2019, building an online business off the back of Facebook traffic seemed insane.

But you know who did it anyways?

Ecommerce guys, bloggers were all over.

I was among.

And who are the most successful creators in the space in terms of audience size and annual income?

Still same people.

A hard lesson you need to hear: Waiting for other people to reassure you that you’re on the right path is the quickest way to find yourself on the wrong one.

It’s hard to do the opposite of what everyone else is doing.

It goes against the evolutionary psychology designed to keep you alive by conforming you to your tribes social consensus.

When you see everyone signing up for AI, building an audience, building an online business you feel the pull to hop on the band wagon.

“Ignorance is always afraid of change.” — Jawaharlal Nehru

These opportunities make you feel good because the results others have gotten give you a sense of FOMO and false security.

You think:

“If I don’t get on this opportunity now, I’m missing out.”

But the harsh truth is, you’ve already missed out.

The top 5% of creators are milking these opportunities dry.

Making all the money and leaving only the scraps for you.

If you want to build true wealth and influence, you need to test things without fearing to put your feet in the profitable rivers around you.

Only then do you rise to the top of the pyramid.

The clear path of going to school, getting a job, and retiring happily is enticing. So, you relinquish your freedom to choose and do what you’re told.

Everyone is creative.

Creativity is about achieving any goal with the knowledge and skill available to you, not fancy art or designs.

In other words, you need to learn how to set self-generated goals, utilize the internet, mentors, and the abundance of information you have access to to educate yourself.

Then, you need to embrace trial and error, self-reflect, and experiment to create your own path. (Days ago I shared a perspective on how society trains people to fear failure)

Creativity gives you the power to do whatever you want in life.

Those who don’t realize this gift are doomed to the assignments of others.

You can no longer rely on your boss to generate attention, attract customers, and assign you some measly work for a set amount of money to fulfill the product or service to those customers.

Don’t rely on a paycheck for your survival.

Transcend your survival through entrepreneurship and remove the earning limit from your life.

What should beginners do?

Labor has been around since the first biological being entered this grand game of survival.

Capital is a more recent invention.

In essence, capital as leverage means that you can spend money to make more money.

You can invest in businesses, real estate, stocks, or crypto.

You can invest in resources that take work off of your hands.

You can invest in information that allows you to avoid costly mistakes, make better decisions, and become more efficient with your time.

You spend money to make more money.

The problem is that most people are broke in more areas than finances.

They don’t have enough cash flow to make investments that pay them anything notable.

Even worse, they get locked into a mindset thinking that putting aside a few hundred dollars a month and budgeting away every lost penny is going to make them rich.

Even even worse, they think they can get rich quick off of new opportunities like crypto with the allowance their mom gave them.

These have their place, of course, but in my eyes, they’re quite stupid and uneducated decisions.

Why would I save a few hundred dollars a month to make 1 million in 40 years because of the scarcity mindset my parents gave me when I am well aware that average people are starting internet businesses and making that much in 1-3 years of focused effort?

Then, when and only when I have ample cash flow, I can use capital as leverage to compound my earnings.

Rather than waiting 40 years for stock prices to rise (and letting inflation catch up), I want to make a few million a year with a business I see as my life’s work and turn that into 10s of millions by the time I’m 40.

In conclusion, capital as leverage is great, but not for beginners.

That leads us into our final option. One that you should not take lightly. One that you should not see as “just a phase.”

All new fortunes are being built in the digital space.

Build a personal brand

It’s the easiest path for beginners to take control of their financial future.

All you need is:

• An internet connection

• A few ideas

• The ability to stick it out until the end

The best thing you can do to achieve freedom build your skills and your brand.

That’s your insurance for dark times.

Even if you lose all your money, you can make it back next month.

How To Navigate The Digital Gold Rush

There’s a common piece of advice that goes around that I think is quite narrow and dumb:

“Build something offline, then start online.”

In other words, people don’t realize that social media (or the internet) is a perfectly viable way to start a business in today’s world. I’d argue it’s one of the best ways all things considered.

I don’t think it’s wise to unnecessarily go through the pain and suffering of building a brick and mortar business, or a physical service (like pest control, car detailing, etc), or even freelancing or agency work with endless hours of manual outreach.

Even then, those businesses can get on social media whenever they want to acquire customers. They don’t need to wait until they meet your standards of success before they start posting in the digital space.

It just doesn’t make sense to ignore social media as a way to attract anyone, connect with anyone, and build distribution for whatever your work is.

Of course, I recommend thinking for yourself, pursuing your interests, and turning that into a business with the right skill set.

I don’t recommend accepting someone else’s outdated business ideology that narrows your mind from seeing your potential.

In other words, I recommend choosing the problem you want to solve and the solution you want to provide. I recommend not even starting a business. I recommend treating any skill you learn, any problem you solve, and any solution you create as value that can be given to other people as your life’s work.

There’s no need to do anything other than solve the problems in your life, acquire the skill to do so, and pass down those lessons as content and products to earn a living doing what you enjoy.

How to build a business for beginners in the New Economy

Business is a game of creating a great product or service and putting it in front the right people.

Yes, there are details in the marketing, promotion strategy, and other things… but people get too caught up in that.

If you want to start a lean business today

Build a personal brand through writing online.

Here’s how you can do it:

1. Create a Social Media Account

   Start with platforms like X (Twitter), LinkedIn, or Facebook. These platforms offer great reach and networking opportunities.

2. Optimize Your Profile

   Use a professional photo, write a clear bio that highlights what you do, and include a link to your website or a relevant landing page.

3. Solve a Problem in Your Life

   Look at the challenges you’ve overcome or the skills you’ve developed. These are potential areas where you can offer value.

4. Write About Your Ideas

   Start sharing your

   • thoughts,

   • experiences,

   • solutions to problems you’ve faced.

   This builds your authority and attracts an audience.

5. Teach People Who Are a Few Steps Behind You

   You don’t need to be an expert to teach. If you’re a few steps ahead of someone else, you have valuable knowledge to share.

6. Package It as a Coaching Session, Digital Product, Course, or eBook

Once you’ve built a following and established credibility, start offering paid services. Whether it’s coaching, creating a course, or writing an eBook, your audience will be more than willing to invest in your expertise.

Building a business doesn’t have to be complicated.

Start small, be consistent, and watch your personal brand grow into a thriving business.

We are going to make this as simple as possible. We will discuss:

• Growing a social media brand

• Creating a product or service

• The best way to start monetizing

• The tasks / priorities you should be focusing on

Don’t overcomplicate this.

A personal brand is the best traffic and lead generation mechanism.

• You build trust quicker

But how do we create an authoritative brand?

I’ll spare you the whole:

• Professional profile picture (clickable)

• Bio that answers “What’s in it for me?”

• Link that directs people to deeper content (selling something is even better, it shows you have created something of value)

This is a given.

But where is the depth behind the brand?

What is your mission?

• Your vision for the future

• Your goals for getting there

• Your values that align with followers

• What you have experience in

• What you are learning about

This is a personal brand after all.

Your job is to become a mapmaker.

Your content reveals areas on the map, like breadcrumbs, leading them from where they are to where they want to be.

Transformation focused.

You help them gain awareness of where they are now (pain points) and help them overcome those.

Without regurgitating what every social media growth guide says, the easiest thing you can do is emulate.

• What brand do you vibe with?

• How did they grow when they were your size?

• What are they selling? Does it actually sell?

• Can you recreate it with your own experience?

• What is their tone?

• How does their branding look?

• Have you dove into their funnel, emails, or other content?

• What aspect of their marketing sticks out? Have you swiped it yet?

Doing this alone will save you 3-5 years of trial and error.

“Patrick, I’m doing exactly what people say but I’m not growing.”

You either:

• Aren’t getting eyes on your profile

• Think your brand is better than it is and haven’t taken the time to reflect and improve (or seek help and invest)

How do you fix this?

• Stop wasting money on stupid things and invest $1000/mo+ in paid growth (guaranteed eyes and sales if your offer is good, you should make 5x that back minimum)

• Create content that is popular, controversial, or so actionable that people have to share it

• Network with people around your size. DM them, make friends, mastermind, and help each other grow

• Find creative ways to get eyes on your profile.

(On Facebook: like consumer’s posts that follow people similar to you. They don’t get notifications, but they will from you)

Cool, you are growing now but aren’t making any money.

1. Stop relying on the platform and donations to pay your bills, this isn’t YouTube. Even if it was, you should sell something.

2. Start a service business. Freelancing, coaching, or consulting.

Again, this is a personal brand based on your experience.

Have you bought a book or course, saw results with it, and know you could help others with it?

Books and courses are just productized service offers.

Dissect their teachings and write down steps to get from point A to B

Here’s an exercise:

• Pull out a piece of paper

• Draw a line down the middle

• “Your dream life” on the left

• “Your personal hell” on the right

Be ultra-specific and brain dump everything that comes to mind here.

This is firepower for both your brand and products.

“Your dream life” is your vision.

It is the “point B” that you are helping people get to.

Much of it can be turned into content.

“Your personal pain point” is what you and your audience are avoiding like the plague.

This forms community and the foundation for your offers.

You have some form of an audience, but even if you don’t — you can start helping people for free to refine and develop this system for getting results.

Start with the people you’ve connected with while growing.

As they grow, testimonials from them increase in value. Long game.

Once you are confident in your system / steps for getting results via a freelance or coaching offer, start charging and refining your marketing.

Here is a quick marketing masterclass (aside from the one where you swipe what already works from your competitors)

1. Who would you enjoy working with? Create a customer avatar to understand them on a personal level

2. What is the specific result you are promising? Tangible result or timeframe.

3. You can promise any reasonable result if you guarantee to work with them until they reach it

4. What is the biological problem you are helping them solve inside the eternal markets?

Eternal markets = health, wealth, relationships. This forms the foundation of your positioning.

Example: Health coaching can help make more money in biz, fix relationships, etc.

Bonus yet effective areas of study:

• Life force 8

• Maslows hierarchy of needs

• Customer levels of awareness

• Levels of market sophistication

Having a deep understanding of psychology and human nature will save you.

(Use these for content and copy angles)

Once you know your offer will sell, create a simple funnel:

• Social media = traffic

• Intake form with awareness building and qualification questions

• Simple email sequence that follows up for 6-12 months spaced out

• Calendly to book a call

• DMs

Example of how this works:

• Write a thread related to your offer

• Pay for people to share it

• (Grow as a byproduct)

• Plug your intake form

• DM people that fill it out

• Let emails work magic

• Get on call

• Close for $500-$1500 until you raise prices

Your intake form and emails should do the work, but DMs are the cherry on top. Understand the fundamentals of:

• DM etiquette (don’t be weird)

• The sales process

• How to handle a sales call

• How to close

If your thread gets good traction and your offer sells

100,000 impressions on thread
5-10 minimum book a call
Close 2 at $500
Write 1 thread a week

Boom, more than 100K a month.

This is only one strategy of many to make this work, but is pretty simple.

All you have to do is focus on growth, writing actionable threads, scheduling calls, closing, and delivering on your promise.

Focus on that.

Given time, you can productize the same system into a digital product.

• Launch when you hit 10-20K followers

• Automate product sales via email

• Turn product buyers into service clients

• Potentially double your income

As easy as you make it.

You may be in a rough spot in life right now. The reason you can’t tap into a higher state of consciousness is stress, anxiety, overwhelm, and distraction. You lack intention. You let habits slip. Start completely new. Clear your calendar. Fill your time with learning, building, and experiencing as much as possible. Try everything until you find the one thing you can’t pull yourself away from. Then, do it all over again, because you will get lost, and that’s okay.

Write it all out — clarity brings direction

You need to reset your life. Because obviously, you aren’t going to get where you want to be with who you are right now. You need direction. Intention and curiosity. Intention is what you’re stretching toward. An aim for your life. Curiosity is your inner compass for navigating the unknown. Get all of your thoughts and worries on paper. Map out all of your forgotten dreams and goals. Remind yourself of who you want to become. Become brutally aware of where your life will end up if you keep doing what you’ve been doing.

Write it all down. Your vision. Your anti-vision. Your goals. What skills you need to acquire. What you need to practice. What you need to build. Write out a framework for the next year of your life. Read this every morning. Add to it. Subtract from it. Use it as your frame for noticing and acting on opportunities that would normally pass you by. Condition your mind to run on a new operating system. One that you programmed, not society.

Slowly, then all at once, your mind will transform. Confusion will turn into order. Distraction will turn into clarity. Your mind focuses on a singular goal and the world feeds you the resources to achieve it. You feel invincible. You feel clear. Everything clicks until you achieve the goal and find yourself lost once again. When that happens, repeat this process.

How To Do A Hard Reset On Your Life

As children, we are open. We want to explore the world. But our parents projected their beliefs on us. Our teachers corrected us through negative feedback. They encouraged conformist behavior with good and bad grades. Eventually, we lost our zest for life. Learning wasn’t fun anymore because we’d been forced to learn things we didn’t care about. Creating wasn’t art anymore because all we could think about was if we followed the rules well enough to get a good grade (if we didn’t, our parents would scold us, making us hate the things that were meant to set us free.)

Time went on. You continued to trust blindly in those who didn’t care what was best for you. You worked hard. You got the degree. You got the job. And all it left you with was crippling debt, work that had nothing to do with what you studied, and a mind that didn’t have the skill to do something different. The responsibilities piled up. You struggle to find the time to grow or improve. You silently despise the learning and creating that allows you to take back control of your life.

I beg you to muster up the strength to commit. Commit to one hour a day. Set a meaningful goal. Remind yourself of how much you despise the default path that got you here. Channel that negative energy into a positive creation. Acquire the skills that allow you to produce something of value. Become so good that you can be yourself full-time. Give yourself a year. You can do incredible things in 365 days.

Most people wait for the “right time” to change their lives. There is no right time. There’s only now.

If you feel overwhelmed with tasks in your brain, overqualified, unappreciated, underpaid, or stuck at a job that doesn’t appreciate your skills, talents, or uniqueness — you are undervalued.

You need a life reset.

This is a process I run through when life gets a bit too rogue. Like when you’re constantly thinking back to a time when “life was better.” Or when your routines fall apart and all of these little tasks pop up that drain all of your energy in the day.

1) Take Note Of How You Feel

Pull out a notebook and write down:

• Exactly what you are doing on a daily basis

• How you feel morning, afternoon, and night

Take 10 minutes and get specific. This is important for identifying unconscious parasites (time and energy suckers).

You need awareness before you can create change. Most people operate on autopilot, wondering why nothing improves. Write it down. Make the invisible visible.

2) Prioritize, Remove, & Restructure

The reason you aren’t getting the results you used to is because:

• You feel pressed for time

• You don’t have energy to get results

• You stopped doing the things that got results

Look over your list from above. What can you change?

Prioritize the things that will get results. Remove the things that snuck their way into your day (and don’t deserve to be there). I can think back to a time I wanted to learn new skills to increase my income. Netflix, soccer, Friday night outs, parties — all off my list.

Restructure specific tasks and obligations to free up more time. Understand that there are enough hours in a day if you prioritize. The rich and the poor have the same 24 hours in a day.

Get the chaotic structure of your mind on paper and reorganize it.

3) Create A Week-Long Plan

You are in this chaotic spot in life because of entropy. The organization of your life (and therefore the mind) tends toward disorder if you don’t perform mental housekeeping.

This is dangerous, because you can pick up bad habits along the way. Habits are difficult to break. But you can make the process easier with clarity.

Take 10 minutes. Write out every single thing you are going to do for the next week.

This shouldn’t sound crazy or difficult. For example, on my new study calendar, my waking hour was 4am throughout the week. I had the skills I was learning plastered in my weekly schedule. Not a single day without.

This is how you reduce the friction of making better decisions.

Write out:

• Your morning routine

• Your focused work routine

• Other tasks and meetings

• Nightly routine

You will have to experiment as you go. If the routine doesn’t flow, go back to your notebook and write what you’re going to do the next day.

This is how you create a system for your life. It gets more efficient with time if you make this ‘mental housekeeping’ a regular practice.

Your life won’t change because you want it to. It changes when you build systems that make the change inevitable.

Mindful content helps people grow, evolve, and expand their sense of self. Mindless content encourages decay, stagnation, and defending their low-development ego.

You either raise the well-being of humanity or destroy it.

Become aware of this now.

Your mind is the operating system of your body. If you don’t program it with good information, it will run on autopilot. And when society programs your mind, it’s rarely in your best interest.

Every day, you have the choice to cut out the noise with books that sharpen your perspective, music that elevates your mood, and workouts that discipline your mind and body.

But if you don’t make that choice consciously, society will do it for you.

Why Society Programmed You to Stay Small (And How to Break Free)

From the moment you were born, you were conditioned to fit society’s script.

Parents rewarded you for being “good.” Teachers rewarded you for following instructions. Jobs reward you for compliance.

Most people are sheep. They do what they’re told. Question nothing, believe anything.

Sheep can be happy. But fulfillment? That’s another story.

Our public school system was adopted from a Prussian military state. It was designed to create obedient workers, not independent thinkers. Schooling pushes people’s minds into narrow niches and discourages exploration of interests.

People don’t know what skills to learn because they’ve been told what to learn their entire life.

We have the psyche of our ancestors—hunters, gatherers, entrepreneurs—trapped in a modern environment. Like a monkey in a cubicle, we mentally decompose over time due to a lack of intrinsic motivation.

Before the industrial revolution, everyone was an entrepreneur. We hunted for the resources necessary to sustain our lives. Self-reliance was the default.

Cultural conditioning made us dependent. We’ve been conditioned to rely on everything except ourselves.

What is the answer?

Self-reliance on all fronts.

Sovereignty. Personal responsibility. Self-awareness. Self-confidence. Self-education. Self-interest.

You need 3 things for fulfillment:

1. A purpose - an aim for your life.

2. A path - a series of goals to achieve.

3. A priority - a lever to pull today.

If any of these are assigned to you by society—and not by your own creation—you will not feel fulfilled.

Here’s the kicker:

There is one thing humans can do better than any other being: Have an idea and make it real.

Through consciousness, attention, and focus we have been given the power to build, create, and make.

We can have a vision, gather resources, and build layer by layer the world we inhabit. Language, buildings, technology, products, services, culture, society.

Our role on this Earth is to solve local problems. Solving local problems leads to solving global, and even cosmic, problems.

Anyone can do this.

The problem is limiting beliefs, programmed minds, and a lack of self-belief drilled into you over years of conditioning.

Once you grasp this power—the power to create your own reality—everything changes.

The 4-Step System to Reprogram Your Mind and Build Your One-Person Business

Feed your mind daily with:

• Books that sharpen your perspective

• Music that elevates your mood

• Workouts that discipline your mind and body

Take control, or someone else will.

I have been intentional about the content that enters the frame of my attention.

For me my day is well optimized for a productive day.

- no TV’s
- no news
- bants and rants

Over a decade I have drastically reduced mindless entertainment from my daily schedule. This is intentional.

Reclaim Your Self-Reliance

Stop relying on institutions, authority, and external validation.

Create your own set of values, goals, and priorities. Not what your parents want. Not what society expects. What YOU want.

Dedicate 1-2 hours every day completely for yourself. Improve the domains of health, wealth, and relationships.

When you build for yourself, things start to become a reality and take you to a different place.

Build Your One-Person Creator Business

A one-person creator business is built from three components:

Your brand: Created from your vision and goals. What are you building? What are you leading people towards?

Your content: Created from the interests and skills you’re refining. Educate, entertain, and inspire people along your self-development journey. Leaders attract followers.

Your product: A process, system, or tool that people can use to solve their problems faster. The ones you were stubborn about solving that led to having a unique perspective and solution.

You solve a problem in your life. You document the journey publicly. You package the solution into a product. You help others 1-2 steps behind you.

Build Your Personal Brand

Building a brand is documenting your journey of becoming yourself.

1. Choose 3 Interests

• One that makes you money (wealth)

• One that builds your body (health)

• One that builds your mind (knowledge/spirit)

2. Solve Your Own Problems

Focus on health, wealth, relationships, and happiness. Document the problems you’re facing and the solutions you’re discovering.

Your struggles are your content goldmine.

3. Post About It

Share your journey publicly on one platform—Twitter/X, LinkedIn, or a newsletter.

Write about your wins, losses, lessons, and insights.

Don’t wait until you’re an expert. Document the process of becoming one.

4. If You Don’t Know What to Post, Study Success

Follow 1-3 creators who talk about things you’re interested in. Pay attention to what resonates: their topics, their style, their structure.

5. Replicate and Iterate

Study how they achieved success and replicate their strategies—not their content.

Model their frameworks, posting frequency, and content pillars. Add your unique perspective, experiences, and voice.

Test. Learn. Adjust.

Every post is a brick. Every lesson shared is a brick. Every problem solved is a brick.

You’re not just building an audience—you’re building a body of work that represents who you’re becoming.

All of this takes time.

The pain of becoming yourself is real. It’s difficult. It takes intention and effort.

But the pain of never becoming yourself? That’s worse.

You have everything you need. The internet. Your consciousness. Your ability to create.

The only thing standing between you and the life you want is action.

Stop waiting for permission. Stop following someone else’s script. Stop building for others.

Start building for yourself.

Take control of your inputs. Reclaim your self-reliance. Build your business. Build your brand.

When you build for yourself, you discover yourself.

In fact, if you couldn’t tell, people are losing trust in the conventional path’s promises to secure their future. It’s one of the worst options because your time, energy, and emotional well-being are at the control of a boss.

All new wealth is being generated in the digital space.

The idea space.

If you are doing a lot of interesting things in life and not sharing them that’s fine.

But you are missing big opportunities to inspire, connect, partner, earn etc.

The creator economy.

Boomers of this generation understand where the attention is. And where the attention is, is where the money is – social media.

A place where people aren’t limited by their connections or physical location because they can reach anyone with an internet connection.

And if you have the right skills – writing, marketing, and building – all you have to do is get what you build in front of a micro-fraction of people that perceive what you built as valuable.

I would argue that every beginner should build an audience.

Even if you don’t have a product.
Even if you don’t feel ready.
Even if no one knows you (yet).

Why?

building forces you to master the real skills that make any business functional:

• Persuasion

• Writing

• Design

• Psychology

• Human behavior

• Offer creation

These aren’t skills you absorb from books.
You sharpen them in public — by posting, experimenting, failing, adjusting, and watching what people respond to.

And the upside of becoming a creator today is almost impossible to overstate, but here are the essentials:

1. You naturally develop every skill needed to survive and thrive in a digital business landscape. Courses, tools, and access make the learning curve more straightforward than at any time in history.

2. You accumulate social capital — an audience that becomes your future user base, your early customers, and your unfair advantage. When that time comes, you won’t need personal savings or investors.

3. Your network multiplies. Ten thousand followers isn’t ten thousand people — it’s a doorway into hundreds of thousands through their networks. And no, you don’t need a huge audience to make a living.

4. You attract people who align with your values, your curiosity, and your work. You grow a community that makes your creative journey meaningful and sustainable.

5. You gain leverage. If 30 minutes of writing can grow your audience and lead people to your products, you’re no longer chained to long work hours. You’re powered by output that scales.

Writing.

The kid building online stores at 3am in front of his computer with 3 Red Bulls and a cup of coffee will be more successful at 18 than the 50 year old man who spent his whole life doing the bare minimum.

People are losing trust in the “system.”

• Formal education is overpriced.

• People are craving human connection and intimacy.

• Everyone is getting tired of centralization in every industry.

This isn’t difficult to notice.
If you follow me on socials and other similar accounts, you should be well aware of this.

This goes for any discipline, not just design or industries that you have been exposed to.

Boomers are making money, becoming millionaires and billionaires in their 18’s, 19’s and 20’s. You and I probably didn’t get on quick but you are still early.

What is essentially happening is that the Internet has enabled everyone to become what they want. You don’t need anybody’s permission.

What you need is skill.

You need skills.

Because those with rare and useful skills:

• survive even in bad economies

• never stay broke for too long

• can’t be replaced by Ai or cheap labor

In the new world, skills = survival.

If you have a smartphone and an Internet connection you have a gold mine in your hands. Start being conscious of how you spend your time.

Don’t Just Consume. Curate.

Unfollow anyone who does not serve the conditioning of better standards in your life. Even if it doesn’t seem like it, and no matter how much you justify it, the people you follow subtly influence your actions. Slowly, then all at once you become someone you may hate.

Take your time to follow valuable accounts. Valuable accounts challenge your worldview, make you think outside the box, and educate you on the skills necessary to reach a higher quality of life.

This is not an overnight process.

You may not find the information useful at first.

It takes time to bridge specific ideas that lead to understanding.

You will probably find it boring… until it’s one of the most interesting things in the world.

Follow one account.

Let the algorithm do its work.

Follow accounts that reply to the first account’s posts.

With time, you will create an environment that is conducive to your growth.

The only difference between you and the person more successful than you is the consistent intention behind the information they consume.

“But what about taking action???”

You are acting every day.

Why?

Because your mind is programmed with the information conducive to those actions.

Your identity is forged by the information you’ve been fed, and that alone determines what you perceive as an opportunity to act.

Surround yourself with the right people and you can achieve anything you want.

Learn in public. Build in public.

I spent 6 months to acquire 6 high income skills.

When I started learning online, I wasn’t chasing money. I was chasing purpose and clarity.

I was tired of being told what to learn, where to work, and how to live. Every job felt like a script written by someone else.

People don’t know what skills to learn because they’ve been told what to learn
their entire life. Their mind was narrowed on a goal that was assigned to them by their parents, teachers, and society. If you understand the mind, you understand how disastrous this can be.

• Learning to write to build my brand.

I started experimenting with sales online as soon as possible.

That’s when it clicked for me.
Freedom isn’t found in a secure or safe path. It’s found in skill and distribution.

The moment I decided to learn skills the world valued, not what school or society dictated, my life, perspective on work, value, money, purpose and profit was reshaped. My life was transformed.

And that’s what most people miss.
They want freedom but avoid uncertainty.
They want progress but fear looking foolish.

You grow fastest when you move toward the unknown with intention. I believe all transformation is the result of 4 things:

• awareness

• intention

• decision

• discipline

Every moment you build something you chose, not what someone for you,
you reclaim a piece of your mind, your time,
your life.

Your greatest project isn’t your job.
It’s you.

Focus Is your savior

In a world filled with distractions and cheap dopamine hits, focus is your savior.

Being able to intentionally direct your attention at will not only save you time, but money.

Why?

• Mainstream news outlets monetize your attention through fear

• Social media accounts steal your attention through “relatable” and often self-deprecating content

• Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook know exactly what colors, topics, and content delivery style make you tick.

There is always something to fill the void that comes with boredom.

Just now, I clicked over to check my Facebook notifications.

From a top down point of view, this is the big problem that the modern world faces.

In terms of mental health, people focus on their thoughts instead of the reason behind the thoughts.

In terms of physical health, people focus on short term pleasure instead of long term energy.

In terms of monetary health, people focus on get-rich-quick schemes instead of sustainable business growth.

But, we are here to talk about focused work, but you can see the problem that the attention economy has created.

Focus is a currency and we must invest it wisely.

Minimum risk, high potential reward

The attention economy is only disastrous if you are on the consumer end.

Opportunities are springing up like weeds and in order to take advantage of them, you need to produce.

You need to focus your attention on building something with minimal risk, but with the potential to pay off big.

These are called asymmetric bets.

You need to build a project.

A project could be anything: your relationships, physique, mental health or business. For the purpose of this letter we will focus on business.

A narrow understanding of business

If you want to be in control of how much you make, you need a business. Plain and simple. Unarguable.

If you start a business, it demands a much different character than a 9-5 job. You are responsible for everything. You must manage yourself, develop yourself, and learn to love the emotional highs and lows that come with business.

You will be rejected.

You will question if you should quit and go back to your just-comfortable-enough-to-survive-and-just-painless-enough-to-stay-the-same life.

Please, for the love of all things holy, commit to the one thing you know you need to do to take control of your life.

This is your way out.

You’re going to build an audience on social media.

That’s lesson one of business: you need traffic to send to your product or service. Building a website or designing a logo is not a productive use of your time right now.

You don’t need a million followers to start, but I guarantee you will want a growing audience for the future.

“Patrick, I want to start a business but I don’t know how.”

Instead of starting a company that requires huge startup capital, start as one person.

If you can’t turn your interests into income, you don’t have the skill to start a business that requires 10 times the resources.

You as an individual have the ability to attract an audience to your work and put a valuable product in front of them.

This isn’t a new fad business model, this is the reality of the modern world.

You have the ability to learn anything on the internet, build anything on the internet, and accept payment from anyone on the internet.

And yes, you can start with $0 to your name.

Acquire the skills to solve the problems in your life, which is an automatic filter for value.

Then turn the solution into a product for others.

Making money is a skill

Most people struggle to make money because they don’t see it as a skill they can learn.

Making money is something everyone wants to do, but few people see as a skill that can be learned, because money (as with other life-changing skills like social dynamics) is deeply intertwined with our self-image, emotions, and survival.

It’s difficult to see money as something within your direct control because we carry the burden of conditioning from our parents, teachers, and life experiences that influence our perception. We don’t control our reactions to impulses, so it creates a veil that disguises money as uncontrollable.

Money flows to those that provide value. That’s what the company you work for does everyday. Value can be rendered in the form of a product or service.

These are things you can learn. If you work at job, you’ve probably mastered the skill of providing value but haven’t connected it yet.

A sustainable way of making money is in a business.

And business requires 2 things:

1. A product/service

2. Audience.

If you provided the same service you provide at your job under your name, you’d make more money than you do today.

Maybe the question you struggle to find answers to is how you’d get people to find what you provide as valuable and patronize.

Building an audience is also a skill.

If you mastered how to create a product/service and how to build an audience, you’ll become unemployable. You could start your own business, become in control of the important decisions you make in your life: when you to on vacation, how much you earn, how much time you spend with your family and who you work with.

Build an audience for your work

I would argue that every beginner should build an audience.

Even if you don’t have a product.

Even if you don’t feel ready.

Even if no one knows you (yet).

Why?

Because building an audience is the best way to learn the actual skills that make any business work:

• Persuasion

• Writing

• Design

• Psychology

• Human behavior

• Offer creation

And you don’t learn these in theory.

You learn them by showing up online, posting content, testing ideas, and observing what resonates.

How do you actually get started?

Writing.

Writing is how you practice thinking.

Writing is how you document your development.

Writing is how you attract supporters for your work.

The benefits of becoming a creator right now are difficult to contain all in one list, but I’ll try.

1. You are forced to learn every skill required to run a modern business. This is easier than ever thanks to courses, tutorials, and ease of access to tools for practice.

2. You build an audience, AKA social capital, so when you want to build a startup or the business you’ve always dreamed of, you don’t need personal capital or venture capital. You have users for your app and customers for your products.

3. You have a network beyond your audience. You can reach almost anyone on the internet for what you need. If you have 10K followers, and each person following them has 500-1000 followers, and the same for the people following them, you effectively have a network of 10x your audience. (No, you obviously don’t need a lot of followers to earn a living).

4. You can do what you enjoy, attract like-minded people, introduce new people to your skills and interests, and create a meaningful business model you love showing up to every day, even if it’s difficult at times.

5. Since your only levers are writing and building products or services, you can cut your work times down as much as you want. If my audience is growing with 30 minutes of writing, and I send them to a good product, I technically don’t have to work any longer than that – especially if my 30 minutes of writing generates more traffic than someone writing for 8 hours on a book that won’t be seen by anyone.

I’ll leave it at that for now.

• Choose a single skill to offer.

• Create a few portfolio samples.

Most people fall into two camps: (1) They work a job that disconnects them from how the product is sold and thus generates revenue, so they do not understand it. You are an amalgamation of the ideas, beliefs, and distinctions that you perceive as important based on your programming. And some ideas if you spend enough time to digest and let it sink it, you’d find it answers most of your questions in life.

I’ve been thinking about how different ideas influence us, whether we’re grinding at work or just trying to make the most of our daily lives.

Today, I will share with you some ideas (quotes) that have influenced my life and that will probably change yours as well.

Don’t miss the last quote.

1. P. Drucker & A. Lincoln: “The best way to predict the future is to create it.”

Stop waiting around for things to happen, and start making them happen.

Grab a notebook.

Write out exactly what you want in your future, don’t miss a detail. Then, break it down into goals. Decades, years, months, weeks, and days.

Every day, write down the 3 levers you can move to create your vision.

Then, forget about the goals and execute.

Goals are for direction. They are not set in stone. The goals you create today may change in the next 3 months.

Clear structures of what you want allow you to achieve those goals.

2. Marcus Aurelius: “You have power over your mind – not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.”

No matter what craziness is going on around you, the real control is in how you respond.

Filter every thought, emotion, decision, habit, problem, or goal through your vision and drop them without question if they don’t align.

Next time you’re facing a tough situation do this:

• Stop.

• Take a deep breath.

• Think about what just happened.

• Ask yourself, “What caused this trigger?”

Whether you’re feeling angry, stressed, or anxious, take a moment to pause, reflect, and analyze what just happened.

“If it doesn’t matter it can control you.” That’s the mindset I use to navigate my emotions. I have it in front of my study desk.

Patterns I’ve noticed in unhappy people:

• They care about fitting in

• They lack vision for the future

• They expect too much from others

• They neglect lifelong self-education

• They unknowingly prioritize negative thoughts

They don’t realize that happiness is an inside job.

It’s all about finding richness in what you

Social media makes will make you feel like you are missing out on a lot. People post their smiley selfies and don’t show the ugly part.

Pursuing usefulness will make you a lot happier than pursuing happiness

Happiness is the feeling derived from:

• Doing something (making progress)

• Doing nothing (at peace)

Most people are unhappy because they’re stuck in the middle.

They focus on their thoughts instead of reality.

Imagine finding true contentment in where you are and what you’ve got?

That’s a real wealth that money can’t buy.

Aim for that.

Yes, build a business.

Yes, build anything meaningful to you.

But don’t tell yourself that once you’ve built it and started making money from it, you will finally be happy.

Complete happiness is a myth—it’s not real.

What is real, however, is finding joy in everyday moments, regardless of whether your days are good or bad.

Dream big, work hard, but always find joy in what you have.

4. Seth Godin: “Marketing is no longer about the stuff that you make, but about the stories you tell.”

When selling anything (courses, services, your ideas, beliefs or products) it’s all about connection.

People don’t just buy stuff.

They buy into stories.

If you’re trying to make a mark with your brand or even just get your ideas out there, think about the story you’re telling.

It’s not just what you sell, it’s the why that really hook people.

5. Winston Churchill: “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.”

Winning in life isn’t about getting it right all the time.

It’s about not giving up when you don’t.

I repeat.

It’s not about getting things right all the time but about not giving up when you don’t.

Every setback is just setting the stage for a comeback, as long as you keep pushing.

Be a loser.

Let your parents think you are stupid for not following their path. Start a business and embrace failure after failure. Study the interests that make you feel like an outcast.

Where most people conform is where greatness is born.

6. Robert Kiyosaki: “The richest people in the world look for and build networks; everyone else looks for work.”

Whether you’re working a 9-5 or hustling on your own, the real power comes from the people you connect with.

Building networks, connections, and communities are the stepping stones to success no matter your path.

It’s pretty simple.

Whenever I feel like sh*t, it’s because I’ve stopped putting as much effort into the development of health, fitness, relationships, intelligence, or business.

No amount of worrying is going to fix a problem solved by doing.

7. Estée Lauder: “I never dreamed about success, I worked for it.”

Dreaming big is great, but at the end of the day, it’s the action you take that turns those dreams into reality.

If you have goals, don’t just sit on them.

Make a plan, break it down into steps, and start ticking them off.

9. Maya Angelou: “You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don’t make money your goal. Instead, pursue the things you love doing, and then do them so well that people can’t take their eyes off you.”

It’s tempting to chase after the money or the title, but at the end of the day, it’s the passion for what you do that makes the journey worthwhile.

If you love something, dive deep into it.

Master it.

The recognition and success that come from doing something you love are far more satisfying than any paycheck.

10. Farrah Gray: ”Build your own dreams or someone else will hire you to build theirs.”

If you don’t set out to fulfill your own dreams, you will find yourself stuck working hard on someone else’s.

Take charge of your own destiny.

Step up and make your own path.

Don’t spend 99% of your life fitting into someone else’s blueprint.

If you don’t choose your own game, society will assign you one, and society’s games are incredibly boring. Same quest. Same routine. For 40 years until you win a mediocre prize. You don’t want freedom from rules. You want the freedom to create your own.

There is someone putting in half the effort as you and making 10x as much because they took a bet on themselves to stop relying on someone to assign them work with a set dollar amount.

Look around.

Everyone is stressed out of their minds.

We all want to achieve big things, but it’s becoming infinitely more difficult to focus on those big things… so none of them ever get done.

Our minds are flooded with:

• The risk of pursuing your own goals instead of the ones your parents, friends, or boss want for you.

• Being told what to care about — skills to learn, causes to support, foods to avoid — by people with goals that don’t align with your own.

• Thoughts about the job you have to show up to, how much time you’re going to waste, and all the things you’ll never get to do.

• The constant anxiety of wondering what people will think if you decide to go your own way.

These are not easy thoughts to deal with.

If your friends or parents don’t support you — or even try to stop you — that can become incredibly painful. You may lose people from your life. You may lose a part of your identity. Which hurts.

The thing is, they don’t know what you know.

They haven’t been exposed to the same information, education, and potential that you have. Their minds are programmed with beliefs that served their world — not yours.

Parents are very good at this. They were assigned goals at birth, pursued those goals, saw results, and built their identity around that. But when people stop expanding their minds into adulthood, their beliefs harden. What doesn’t align with what they know stops making sense — and people hate what they don’t understand.

This is the first realization you must make:

Nobody is going to give you permission to do what you want.

They don’t see what you see. They don’t have the story you’re telling yourself. And unless they’re developed enough to understand that story, you’ll have to jump out of the nest and trust that you can learn to fly.

But even when you decide to, there’s another problem.

You only have so much focus to invest in your goals each day.
And most of it gets stolen before you’ve even started.

We can’t focus. We pay too much attention to the goals of others, to the point that we have none left for our own.

As soon as we wake up, we grab our phones and flood our minds with other people’s agendas — news, opinions, advice, doomsday predictions, and people doing better than us.

Our brains crave order. That’s why we feel terrible.

Your attention isn’t anchored to a singular vision powerful enough to silence distractions.
And when that happens, life starts to feel empty.

You only have one option.

Feel deeply into your situation.
See where your current habits are taking you.
Become fed up with your lack of progress.

Use that frustration to laser in on the meaningful goal you’ve been putting off — the one your inner voice won’t shut up about.

• “You were meant for more than this.”

• “You have what it takes to be successful.”

• “You don’t have to end up like the rest.”

Seriously, feel it. Stop avoiding it.

The pain of not achieving your goals must outweigh the pain of living comfortably.
Only then will your focus become your freedom.

Create A System For Focus

Once you accept that nobody will hand you permission to pursue your own goals, the next step is reclaiming the one resource you do control — your focus.

Everyone says they’re busy. That’s the anthem of the modern world. But nobody’s really making any meaningful progress. They still go to the same job that drives them crazy, sit in traffic 4 hours and crush into their couch every night to numb their pain with Netflix and alcohol.

We live in a world where busyness is a badge, but focus is a rarity.

People spend hours reacting — to emails, messages, updates, and mindless entertainment. But here’s the truth:
You don’t have a time problem.
You have an attention leak.

Think about it — one focused hour a day equals 365 hours a year. That’s nine full-time workweeks invested in your dream — without quitting your job or sacrificing your family. You should pursue your interests but I am not asking you to go and quilt your job without any plan on what to do next especially if you have a family who depends on your income.

People think they need to quit their jobs, burn the ships, and grind 12 hours a day to change their lives. That’s why they never start.

Most successful people didn’t just quit their job and started working 8 hours a day. They started with 1 hour. If 1 hour is what you have, work with 1 hour. Effort compounds.

One pattern I’ve noticed in my life is that I’ve always carved out time to build something of my own. Even when I was working a 9-5.

I will close from work and make sure I get home on time to to spend 1-2 hours on a personal project.

Things like schoolwork, client work, and even projects assigned to me on a job were necessary, but they didn’t bring me the fulfillment I was looking for.

Thanks to deep knowledge being accessible to those who want to find it on the internet, you can become top 10% in any skill with 6-12 months of focused effort.

I realized that the source of most people’s lack of fulfillment is that they’ve never learned or built something that they chose to learn or build.

The Focus Dividend

Imagine a month where you’re unstoppable.

You’re reading multiple books, consistently hitting the gym, and shipping your online business like cutting through butter with knife.

You have unbreakable focus when you sit behind your desk to finish a newsletter. You are able to knock out all your high priority tasks.

That’s what I call The Focus Dividend — the compounding returns that come from deep, deliberate effort.

In 2019 I applied and got a scholarship to learn high indemand skills with Google.

When I started I could only commit 1 hour a day to learning. Other non-priority tasks occupied my day but I didn’t think much about it to free up those tasks. Things that didn’t really contribute to becoming the person I wanted to become. This is the case for most people. They want to change their life, but they want to make the sacrifice that is required to get them the results they want.

When I first committed to just one hour a day, I didn’t see results for weeks. But I kept showing up.

After 30 days, I noticed patterns.
After 90, my work improved.
After six months, everything started to click.

That’s the beauty of focused consistency — you don’t need explosive progress. You just need direction.

Most people burn 8 hours a day doing distracted work.
The top 1% spend 1–2 hours in a flow state, working on tasks that move the needle towards their future.

They understand something most people don’t:
Success isn’t about working more.
It’s about working deeply.

Deep work builds identity.
Identity builds mastery.
And mastery builds leverage.

The 1-Hour Game Plan

“The key is not to prioritize your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.” — Stephen Covey

You won’t find time — you must design it.
This is where the 1-Hour Rule becomes a game.

Pick Your Leverage Skill

You need a goal to work towards. You need a skill to to master that will help you solve the problems life present you. If you don’t know what you want, experiment. Stop wondering what to do with your life. Start trying everything until you find the one thing that makes you forget to eat. The thing that makes you lose track of time. The thing that keeps you up at night because the ideas won’t stop coming. Give everything for that one thing.

You can an evergreen skill. One skill that compounds: writing, coding, marketing, or building a business.
This will be your leverage point.
Ask yourself:

“If I could only improve one skill for the next 12 months, what would change everything?”

That’s your answer. Stick to it until mastery compounds.

Create a Time Sanctuary

Choose your hour — early morning or late night.
Those are the hours the world doesn’t demand your energy. Protect them.

No phone. No noise. No distractions.
Just you, your focus, and your future self waiting on the other side.

Use the Deep Focus Method

Break your hour into 3 mini-sprints:

• 20 minutes deep work

• 5 minutes rest

• Repeat three times

This keeps energy high and willpower intact.
After your session, reward yourself — music, coffee, or go for a 10 minutes walk. Make focus feel good.

Track the Focus Dividend

Keep a “Focus Log.”
At the end of each session, write what you worked on and how you felt.
After 30 days, patterns emerge.
After 90, momentum builds.
After a year — you’re unrecognizable.

365 hours of pure focus = 365 steps closer to mastery.

Build the Focus Identity

Stop saying, “I’m trying to be productive.”
Start saying, “I’m someone who protects my hour.”
Your habits follow your identity.

When you see yourself as a focused person, focus becomes effortless. That’s when discipline becomes character.

Expand Once You Have Momentum

Once your 1-hour ritual feels natural, stretch it.
1 hour → 90 minutes → 2 hours.

But never chase time at the expense of depth.
Focus is a muscle — it grows through precision, not punishment.

Most people overestimate what they can do in a day and underestimate what they can do in a year.

One focused hour a day may look small, but it’s the foundation of every transformation you admire.
It’s how skills are mastered, brands are built, and new lives are created.

You don’t need a miracle.
You just need one hour of truth.

Protect your hour like your life depends on it — because it does.

Every minute of deep work is a vote for the person you’re becoming.

The question isn’t whether you have the time.
The question is — will you use it?

Now I know some of you will ask me what you will do with the free time you get if you empty your schedule.

Build a f*cking project. Anything. A project can be working on your physique, because looks matter – yeah painful truth, build a meaningful relationship, build a brand.

Why You Should Build A Brand

The internet has created opportunities that most people still don’t see.You no longer need to:

• Apply for 100+ jobs to increase your income.

• Send thousands of cold emails to land clients.

• Spend tens of thousands on paid ads to market your business.

• Waste countless hours looking for A-players for your team or investors for your startup.

All you need to do is build an audience.

Let’s be honest — most people want to make money online. Most people want to make money online but don’t how to start. You probably don’t the capital to invest in physical assets when you are still trapped in your parents basement.

I recently watched a YouTube podcast with 3 set of entrepreneurs on set. All of them recommended building a brand as the entry to start any a business if they had to start from scratch today.

But very few want to build the audience that makes it possible.

You need people to support your work.

Without them, your ideas, products, and skills remain invisible.

Thanks to information being accessible to those who want to find it on the internet, you can become top 10% in any skill with 6-12 months of focused effort.

If you invest the time it would take to get a degree in building an email list of 50,000 like-minded readers, that’s twice the capacity of what a professional football stadium can hold. Now, if you craft a persuasive message, write a few emails, and promote a product that you’ve created as a solution to your own problems, I would not be surprised if you made the average United States salary in a month, minimum.

You sit still, memorize, obey. You’re graded not for originality, but for accuracy. You’re taught that failure is bad, not that it’s how you learn.
By the time you graduate, your creative edges are sanded down.

You’ve been conditioned to seek permission before acting — “Will this be on the test?” becomes “Will my boss approve this?”

When everyone follows the same script does that not produce the same result?

• Go to school

• Get a job

• Climb a ladder

• Retire if you’re lucky

The fabric of society is a system optimized for predictability, not potential.
People stop asking what they want to do and start asking what they’re supposed to do.

The reward for conformity is job security. The cost of conformity is becoming an NPC. Non-Player Character.

In video games, NPCs are background characters.
They follow pre-written scripts.
They say the same lines.
They walk the same routes.
They never question the world they’re in — they simply exist to keep the system running.

Now zoom out — and look at society.

Most people are conditioned to live like NPCs:
They wake up, go to work, follow routines, repeat opinions they heard online, and never question whether the path they’re on was actually chosen by them.

They’re not “bad people” — they’re just running a script that was programmed by into their mind by school, culture, and fear of judgment.

When you conform too deeply, you stop being the player — you become part of the game. The idea of a secured safe path is drilled so deeply into you mind. You become intolerant to opposing worldviews. And even when a life changing opportunity is sold to you — like starting a business — you argue against it with your whole being because it threatens the identity you’ve been conditioned into.

If you are a program running in society, an NPC, and you have the goal to get a high-paying job, your mind won’t register starting a business as important.

This seems harmless on the surface, because “not everyone needs to start a business,” but it goes much deeper than that.

Do whatever you want.

Over time, people lose touch with their own interests, creativity, and purpose. The pursuit of passion is replaced by the pursuit of stability.

And stability — while comforting — rarely leads to fulfillment.

Develop An Ownership Mentality

Most people never give a second thought to the fact that they tie their self worth to a career path set out for them by society.

The truth is you don’t need permission to pursue your own goals. You need courage to break free from the behavior system that keeps you average.

Tap Into Your Creative Ability To Build With Modern Tech

There are only three kinds of people when it comes to having direction in life.

1. People who don’t know what they would like to do.
   These people are often confused. They lack a strong sense of purpose.

2. People who know what they would like to do but don’t do it.

These people are usually frustrated. Every day, they experience the gap between where they are and where they want to be.

3. People who know what they would like to do and do it.

The third kind of people know themselves, possess strong passion, grow in areas that help them move closer to their purpose, and do what they were created to do.

If you want to maximize your max all areas of your life — health, wealth and relationships, you must explore the Unknown.

Here are questions to help you start working through that process.

a) Do you like what you’re doing now?
b) What would you like to do?
c) Can you do what you would like to do?
d) Do you know why you want to do what you would like to do?
e) Do you know what to do so you can do what you want to do?
f) Do you know people who do what you’d
like to do?

There is a direct connection between discovering your creative edge and reaching your potential.

To be successful, you must possess a deep sense of your unique abilities and aspirations.

There are two great days in a person’s life: the day you were born and the day you discover why. Most successful people don’t follow the crowd, they take the narrow path, bank on their creative ability and reach a growth point majority of people only dream of reaching.

Seek what you were put on this earth to do.

Then, pursue it with all your effort.

Use Negative Energy To Your Advantage

The best periods of my life always came after a period of getting absolutely fed up with the lack of progress I was making. I wouldn’t drown in the negative energy. I would channel it toward building something great. 99% of people are trapped because they see negativity as a bad thing. It’s supposed to be there. It’s a part of life. Learn to use it for good.

7 years ago I was fed up with the progress I was making, I asked myself one question, “How can I make my life better?”

I explored new skills I was interested in. I allowed my curiosity to guide me into the unknown to identify new domain of mastery.

I spent 6 months to learn high Value Skills.

Today we are helping a lot of people gain future proof skills to land high paying jobs or even start their own one person businesses.

In one year, you can:

• master a specific skill.
• build productive habits.
• broaden your knowledge base.
• improve your overall quality of life.
• earn your first dollar on the internet.

You have to build your own thing.

Business is modern-day survival. Your psyche is wired to hunt. You are neuro-biologically rewarded for hunting for your survival, not for being a monkey in a cubicle. Hunt for money to ease survival-induced stress & open room for creativity.

The internet is the hunting ground. Employers, wealthy businessmen, and like-minded people all have one thing in common: You can’t reach them physically, but you can reach them online. You have to become valuable, learn modern skills, and display your value in public.

The internet is a free public school, job board, and journal. Replace distraction with education.

Replace endless resume submissions for building a brand.
Replace suppressing your opinions for attracting like minds.

This is how you attract opportunities to yourself without relying on luck, “destiny helper” or waiting on the government to save you.

The difference between you and what you want is skill. The worst perspective you can adopt is to think that opportunities are limited to the rich and lucky. If you don’t have the results you want in life, it’s because you aren’t skilled enough.

Your “luck” is a percentage that increases with the number of people that know your value. Your value is determined by your skill set... the level of challenge you can take on. Profitability is determined by the number of high-level challenges you take on.

There is no end. Start making mistakes, because you have to realize this through experience. The “quick fix” mindset has been conditioned into your mind. The problems don’t go away, they just get easier to handle. You’re in this for life. Appreciate that fact.

Humans are goal-oriented creatures. Goals frame our attention, and if you don’t create your own, you will drift towards societal goals and status games. Even if you do nothing, you will adopt unconscious goals to survive. Create or be created.

Wage slavery is real. It’s funny how society is structured in a perfect way to incentivize you to put off your dreams. Jobs are great, but should be a stepping stone. If you can spend 8 hours building someone else’s dream, you can spend 1 hour building your own.

This is my perspective. None of these are absolute law. Question what I said, test through experience, and most importantly: Challenge yourself to live a better life.

Start Building for Yourself Every Day

You must make the unconscious conscious in order to make changes in your daily routines. Your actions contribute to who you are.

You become your choices overtime. And if you are the choices you make, should you not make time to review your daily routine?

1. Take Note Of How You Feel

Pull out a notebook and write down:

• Exactly what you are doing on a daily basis.

• How you feel morning, afternoon, and night.

Take 10 minutes and get specific (Run it with my Life Reset Prompt).

This is important for identifying unconscious parasites (time and energy suckers).

2. Prioritize, Remove, & Restructure

The reason you aren’t getting the results you want is because:

• You feel pressed for time

• You don’t have energy to get results

• You stopped doing the things that got results

Look over your list from above.

What can you change?

Prioritize the things that will get results.

Remove the things that snuck their way into your day (and don’t deserve to be there).

I can think back to a time I wanted to learn new skills to earn a higher income. Netflix, soccer, friday nights outs, parties were off my list.

Restructure specific tasks and obligations to free up more time.

There is enough hours in a day if you prioritize the things you do. The rich and the poor have the same 24hrs in a day.

Get the chaotic structure of your mind on paper and reorganize it.

3. Create A Week Long Plan

You are in this chaotic spot in life because of entropy.

The organization of your life (and therefore the mind) tends toward disorder if you don’t perform mental housekeeping.

This is dangerous, because you can pick up bad habits along the way.

Habits are difficult to break.

But you can make the process easier with clarity.

Take 10 minutes.

Write out every single thing you are going to do for the next week.

This shouldn’t sound crazy or difficult.

For example on my new study calendar, my waking hour was 4am throughout the week. I had the skills I was learning plastered in my weekly schedule. Not a single day without.

This is how you reduce the friction of making better decisions.

Write out:

• Your morning routine

• Your focused work routine

• Others tasks and meetings

• Nightly routine

You will have to experiment as you go.

If the routine doesn’t flow, go back to your notebook and write what you’re going to do the next day.

This is how you create a system for your life.

It gets more efficient with time if you make this ‘mental housekeeping’ a regular practice.

1. Build Your Mind (Mental Leverage)

Read daily.
Write often.
Learn something new.

Your thoughts are your tools — sharpen them.

Treat your mind like a muscle: feed it information, stretch it with challenges, and strengthen it through reflection.

A clear mind makes better decisions, and better decisions build better lives.

2. Build Your Body (Physical Leverage)
Move your body daily — lift, walk, or stretch.

Your physical state shapes your mental state.
If your body is slow, your ideas are too.
Fitness isn’t about aesthetics — it’s about energy. Energy fuels creation.

5 habits to design a beautiful life:

1. Build your mind.

2. Build your body.

3. Build your network

4. Build your business.

5. Build your relationships.

Adopting these 5 habits puts you on the path to having and living a life of fulfillment.

3. Build Your Business (Financial Leverage)
Dedicate 1-2 hours everyday learning how to create and distribute value.

You don’t need to quit your job. You just need to shift 10% of your time toward ownership.

Most people think they need to quit their jobs, burn the ships, and grind 12 hours a day to change their lives.

That’s why they never start.

You only need 1–2 hours of focused work.

One hour of writing.
One hour of building.
One hour of connecting.

That’s enough to put you ahead of 99% of people—if you repeat it daily.

The problem isn’t time. The problem is belief. You don’t believe one hour can change anything. You want visible results in days, not months. But time doesn’t bend to your impatience.

Most successful people didn’t just quit their jobs and suddenly work 12-hour days.

They started with 1 hour. They stacked it. They let effort compound.

If one hour is what you have, work with one hour.

Because one hour is enough to change your life.

Write online. Offer a service. Test an idea.
The goal isn’t to escape work — it’s to own the work that shapes your life.

Work is a necessary part of life.

4. Build Your Relationships (Emotional Leverage)

Surround yourself with builders, not consumers.

Relationships are mirrors — they reflect your standards and your future.

When you have high standards, your mind’s survival mechanism notices opportunities that helps you maintain those standards. In this case, you notice more opportunities to get back to having more money in your bank.

Your Google searches start to change to acquire better skills.

You start having conversations about money with your friends.

All of these tiny choices begin to compound into results.

You rewire your thinking patterns based on your intentional search for specific information relating to the problem you are facing.

If you surround yourself with people – physical or digital – that make it seem like it’s “okay” to be 100 pounds overweight, have zero money, work a job you hate, stay with a partner you despise, get drunk every night, and the rest… how do you think your life will end up?

Invest time in people who inspire, challenge, and grow with you. You can’t become your best self in the wrong environment.

When you build for yourself, something shifts. You start seeing progress that feels real. You start discovering who you truly are and what you’re capable of.

That small window you dedicate to building your own thing becomes the foundation of your independence — the moment you stop waiting for opportunity and start engineering it.

Build for yourself consistently — and life begins to bend in your favor.

Because when you take responsibility for your own growth, you stop being part of someone else’s blueprint and start becoming the architect of your own.

However it is way difficult to start a business in say, real estate or investment. The capital to start is huge.

I don’t deny that real estate is a decent option for people who have money, but for beginners who are still trapped in their parents’ ideology of investing every last penny while being forced to stay at a boring job to fund their delusional chances of getting rich… it is not going to happen. At least not on any meaningful timescale where you still have a life to live.

The way that we live and work continue to change. Human Civilization influence what society determine as valuable which affects the chain of value exchange – business.

The earliest civilization were hunter gatherers. About about 1.8 million years ago humanity’s vocation wad focused on survival activities.

In early Agrarian societies, we invented tools to make food gathering easier and had abundant food in store. Individuals had the free time to invent mathematics and writing other field of study.

As societies continued to progress, we invented heavy machinery and built industries for industrial mining, car manufacturing, transportation. This was in the Industrial Age.

Before the Industrial Revolution, most education was local, religious, or apprenticeship-based.

With factories emerging in the late 1700s–1800s, factory owners needed disciplined, punctual and obedient workers.

Schools began to take on the role of producing “obedient” workers who could follow instructions, work long hours, and fit into the new system of mass production.

Features like age-based grades, standardized testing, and a focus on obedience and routine were adopted widely.

Work shifted from pursuing your interests and solving the problems life presented you to completing tasks assigned to you by your employer. Doing something you hate just for survival sake.

While many still endure grueling and meaningless work, we have sports, film, content creation and deep experience as “work.”

The thing is, we’re not in the Industrial Age anymore, we’re in the Information Age.

Getting a job and investing your savings isn’t the only option.

People are losing trust in the conventional path’s promises to secure their future. It’s one of the worst options because your time, energy, and and emotional well-being are at the control of a boss.

The creator economy.

The idea space.

A place where people aren’t limited by their connections or physical location because they can reach anyone with an internet connection.

And if you have the right skills – writing, marketing, and building – all you have to do is get what you build in front of a micro-fraction of people that perceive what you built as valuable.

A quick insight on breaking free:

Entrepreneurship is the natural step after self-improvement. You acquire a skillset and mindset so valuable to your life that you can’t help but share it with others. You solve your own problems, sell the solution that changed your life, and improve humanity as a result.

I see employment as a stepping stone.

Jobs are useful for skill acquisition, status, and opportunity.

But getting stuck in one is dangerous for your psyche which is wired to hunt. You become a monkey in a cubicle. It is against your nature.

Entrepreneurship is modern survival.

• Set a goal.

• Find a problem.

• Learn how to solve it.

• Document how you solved it.

• Distill into a replicable process.

• Give it to others that want to be helped.

Do it offline and it’s called growth.
Do it online and it’s called business.

If you can write, speak, market, and sell you no longer have to worry about the outcome of your life. All you must do is use those skills to create your path.

The easiest way to build an independent income source is to solve a problem in your life, document the solution, and use your personal brand to market it. Writing helps you achieve that.

When you stop hiding what you have to offer and put yourself on the market, only then does your luck increase beyond 0%.

Why Most People Fear Starting A Business

Going against what everyone is telling you to pursue your interests is a huge risk.

It requires personal responsibility, personal accountability and self education.

If you want to do what you enjoy for a living, you’re living in the right period.

The internet has decentralized wealth creation to individuals who value self-education, personal responsibility, and amounting to something in your life by doing good work.

Most people have no shred of personal responsibility left. Most people stopped learning after graduation.

Personal responsibility determines the outcome of your life in a decentralized economy.

You won’t get average results with average goals. You will get rare results with rare goals. Curiosity, reality exploration, and eventual obsession with a craft is your key to greatness.

You have to realize what you don’t want to figure out what you want – even if it is destructive – to realize what you don’t want. Preventing yourself from making mistakes is the stupidest mistake of all. Learning that does not lead to action is useless.

It is impossible to know with absolute certainty what is going to happen in the future.

This is why the masses flock to “secure” jobs and belief systems.

It’s an illusion of certainty to avoid struggle. You can’t skip making mistakes. Mistakes are your light in the dark.

Self-education is a cornerstone habit that you must do every single day, no matter the topic of study.

Humans are meant to expand, transcend, and create. Constant self-improvement and evolution is not optional. If you as an individual get stuck, so will your endeavors.

There is a way to build whatever life you want with technology and the internet. If there isn’t a way, create it.

The Greatest Killer Of Any Entrepreneur’s Dreams

In the previous letter I briefly went over the first lever you need to make an independent income - a product. If you learn how to monetize your skills and build an audience you are set for life.

Most people don’t know how to create wealth right now.

I would argue that you do know. You’re looking at it right now. But you still have the “consume and save” mindset that limits how you perceive the gold rush happening right in front of you.

Success comes down to 3 things:

1. What you do

2. How many people know what you do

3. Making what you do valuable to those that know what you do

The greatest killer of any entrepreneur’s dreams:

They launch the product they poured their time, energy, and heart into to face the one thing they feared all along..._Nobody cares about their product. _Nobody wants to buy the ONE thing that is responsible for letting them finally take control of their life. Even worse, some don’t even make it that far.They have dreams of becoming an entrepreneur, but they do everything except for the one thing that will make them a success.

They write content.
They make videos.
They build a network.
They create a website.
They design a logo.
They send a few emails. But they’re afraid... or they just don’t realize... that in order to make money outside of a job (or second job called client work) they need an audience to sell a product to. It’s not optional. That’s the role the company you work for or your boss plays anyway. You are given a set amount of tasks for a set amount of income so your employer can deliver the product that their CUSTOMERS are paying for.

You Need Distribution Power

This is the second lever you need to build an independent income. I wrote about the first one in my previous letter. You can go and check it out.

You need distribution.
Distribution=leverage.
An audience=distribution.

Please hammer this into your head:

To think that working hard for 12 hours on a replaceable task, under a boss and not taking control of every single thing that would make you the boss and make you the money is kind of foolish and you are going to be trapped in that 2k to maybe 5k range for most of your life and you are not going to get out of that unless you choose to be an entrepreneur because that is the only way that you can tap into a broader sense of leverage.

Yes you can use leverage in your work to do better work but what about leverage in your life?

Entrepreneurship is the first step to unlocking that leverage.

At its heart, every successful business, every thriving career, and every dollar earned boils down to one thing: value creation. If you work a job, you’re already doing this – you’re providing value to your employer. The shift to independent wealth comes when you realize you can provide that value directly to others, on your own terms.

You need an audience.

“People do business with people.”

Right now, it’s on social media.

Most people think of social media as a silly app on their phone, yet they spend the majority of their life on it.

You’ve still yet to make the connection that it is a massive part of the economy, business, learning, and life in general.

Our ancestors had small audiences for the role they played in their tribe.

As the world advanced through the printing press, radio, and television, how we acquired an audience for our work has drastically changed.

The point is this:

You need a group of people who know what you do and how it helps them. That’s what the business you work for does. That’s the only way to become the CEO of your life.

You don’t need to go knocking door to door. You don’t need to send thousands of cold emails. But you still need distribution for your work.

Right now, you can post your writing on an app like X, Facebook, have a larger account repost your work, and gain hundreds of followers in a day.

Most people think they can’t build an audience because they haven’t taken the time to learn the sovereign skills of writing and persuasion.

They don’t think they can:

• Write an impactful post by emulating what works (we all start as copy cats, how else do you learn?)

• Write a DM to a large account to offer a form of value (knowledge or money) to build rapport.

• Persuade them to exchange that value for something you want (a repost on social media).

• Or, write a thread about someone in hopes that they repost it because it adds to their social proof

• Get tens of thousands of people to see your post, many of them following you.

• Continue the process until you have an audience begging to pay you.

• Launch a product and attain your freedom.

As you practice skills, they decrease in the amount of time it takes to see results.

It will be difficult at first, as all things are, but your time invested will decrease to 1-2 hours a day of writing and self-promotion.

Your Action Plan For Independence

• Learn something: Acquire a new skill, deepen existing knowledge.

• Build something: Create a valuable product or service based on what you’ve learned.

• Share it: Connect with your audience and deliver your value.

If you’re not where you want to be yet, there’s likely one key differentiator: skill. The person who is where you want to be possesses the skills necessary to navigate those challenges. By intentionally acquiring the skills that empower you to tackle better mental, physical, and financial challenges, you fundamentally change who you are. And that change unlocks unparalleled opportunities.

Thanks to deep knowledge being accessible to those who want to find it on the internet, you can become top 10% in any skill with 6-12 months of focused effort.

I realized that the source of most people’s lack of fulfillment is that they’ve never learnt or built something that they chose to learn or build.

The inputs and outputs of one’s mind were enslaved since birth with the conventional life path. Learn this. Build that. To the point where people hate the only two things that will free them from that enslavement — learning and building.

If you invest the time it would take to get a degree in building an email list of 50,000 like-minded readers, that’s twice the capacity of what a professional football stadium can hold. Now, if you craft a persuasive message, write a few emails, and promote a product that you’ve created as a solution to your own problems, I would not be surprised if you made the average United States salary in a month, minimum.

If you don’t create a purpose, you’ll be assigned one. If you don’t create a career, you’ll be assigned one.
