It all started when I got admission in a Convent school back in 2014.

There were 2 girls in my class sharing the same names .

Neha 1 was around 151 cm tall, with a skinny waist, a fit, curvy body, and distinct Asian features. She was mischievous and goofy in school. She was straightforward and undeniably funny. She was a big foodie, a good stalker, and obsessed with a particular boy who was our senior.

I still remember the day when we were at the same tuition. One day, she followed her crush all the way for almost 1 km on her bicycle, until he disappeared on his scooty.

Neha 2 stood at 162 cm. She had a wheatish complexion and a fit body. I still vividly remember how she would put a lot of makeup on her face, only for it to get ruined in the extreme summer heat. She was a bit of a penny-pincher and was often jealous of the other girls.

They used to call themselves as besties.

Anyway, Neha 1, Neha 2 and I used to go to the same tution classes in intermediate. We used to ride cycle to our tution classes just like ordinary teens. We used to sit in the back bench. Prior to our classes we used to massive feast of chowein and samosas.

Bhumika was their common friend. They used to tell each other secrets to her and me too.

Not until that day when bhumika unknowingly spilled little tea about Neha 2.

Both Neha were extremely jealous of each other.

Our result of Semester 1 (Half yearly exam ) came out. It was revealed to Neha 1 by Bhumika casually when Neha 1 asked bout Neha 2 result. Neha 2 failed in Physics and Chemistry. Neha 2 told bhumika not to tell anyone bout her marks and Neha 2 hide her report card in Bhumika’s house so that nobody could get the news that she failed in her exams. But Neha 1 got the news.

The news spread like fire to Neha ‘s 2 family and neighbours that she failed in exams. Out of nowhere Both Neha’s reacher Bhumika's tution and they tried to get her out of her tution and drag her to Bhumika's house. But their teacher told them to just go. But Both reached Bhumika's house and asked her mom where is Bhumika? They created a big messy drama in Bhumika's home. That was the point when their friendship started eroding.

Fast forward after Intermediate result. Neha 1 moved to Dehradun for her NEET (Indian Medical Entrance exam) Preparation with her 2 classmates.

Neha 2 failed in Biology and was in hometown. She cleared her back exam and cleared her class biology exam. She enrolled herself in B.Sc life science coursework in the same hometown.

Neha 1 changed within a year of moving to Dehradun. She got into smoking and drinking as she got influenced by the glamorous life of the Dehradun. My close friends send me her pictures and I was startled. Every part of her body changed. Her entire personality changed. From a teensy tiny curvy body her body bloosoomed into a voluptous body. She got her boyfriend and she used to publicly post about them in her story and profile picture. She also used to hit clubs . Most of the time she dressed like an influencer. I still vividly remember the day when I saw her video and she was heavily drunk and was kissing other girl in the club. Her pg mates told my friend that Neha 1 left her pg and moved out with her boyfriend and She was in livin relationship with her boyfriend.

This continued for a year. She left her NEET preparation and she joined a professional course in a private college

Meanwhile Neha 2 was pursuing her B.Sc course and in the upcoming year she lost ton of weight maybe because of stress and because of failure too.

She used to talk to Bhumika normally.

Everything was going on normally until the day Neha 2 dropped a bomb. That shocked all of my friends.

She didn't forgot her insult. It was killing her from inside. There was a fire inside Neha 2. She was a monster disguised as an angel. Somehow she got Neha1 picture with her boyfriend and Neha’s 1 maternal aunt( bua) used to live in her neighbourhood. She had her WhatsApp. She deliberately put Neha 1 and her boyfriend picture in her status to expose her relationship in front of her family and relatives. Neha1 aunt saw the status and told the whole thing to her mother. Neha 1 was back in hometown for celebrating her birthday. She ruined her birthday by taking her revenge. Neha 1 was furious and she called Bhumika regarding whether she shared her picture or not? She told her she didn't ? But who? Nobody knew this answer and From there Bhumika got the news and she told me this story. She caused their breakup and humiliated her in front of her family and relatives and that’s how she ruined her ex bestie birthday.

It takes years to built a strong friendship but it takes few seconds to ruin everything. Yes As a woman it's hard to admit that some women are extremely vengeful, toxic, big gaslighters and secretly jealous of other women. It's better to make distance with someone who treats you badly publicly and doesn't wait a second to humiliate you. So don't trust every friend blindly. It's very common in the mountains to not marry outside of one's caste, despite how much you love that person. So, the Junior Engineer was of a different caste, and Nikki couldn't marry him.

So, Nikki got married to another guy from a good family. Her husband owned a restaurant in the town. Her in-laws were government teachers.

But Nikki demanded that she wanted to do her post-graduation. She told everyone that she couldn't get admission to the city where her husband lived because she had received a lower percentage in her bachelor's degree.

She convinced them to let her pursue her master's from a nearby place where she had once lived before marriage.

Nikki's intention was different. She made the whole story just to rent a house in the nearby area where the engineer was working so that they could live closely and continue their affair even after marriage.

Within two years, Nikki completed her master's. She didn't want to leave the city. So, she made a plan to pursue a Bachelor of Education from the same place. She again convinced her in-laws regarding it.

She told them she wasn't able to crack a government exam. She told them only that the college was offering her admission and blah blah. They got convinced.

It was another attempt to keep that affair going.

Meanwhile, the Junior Engineer got married off to a girl who was taller and senior to him in height and by hierarchy in her job. The JE's family was greedy, so without knowing much about her, they married him to that girl.

The Junior Engineer was witty. He introduced Nikki to his wife as his best friend. He used to video call her in front of his wife. His wife didn't know about the affair they were having.

The Junior Engineer used to behave like a gentleman in front of his wife. He didn't even let her pick up the plates after eating the food.

Nikki and the Junior Engineer were secretly having an affair even after getting married to different partners.

Out of nowhere, the Junior Engineer's wife got cancer. She was pregnant and suffering from cancer. The doctor advised her to have an abortion because she could die. They told her she would never be able to become a mother.

That traumatized her.

We came back for Navratri Pooja (Hindu festival) in the village. You immediately recognised us when we came nearby you. I was startled that you recognised us. Fast forward to 2015

I came back to my village with my family in April for the Navratri pooja and this time I looked everywhere and I wasn't able to found you. I asked my mom where is lakshmi? She told me in a sad voice that she is being sold by our uncle to someone from other village because she was old and didn't yielded much milk. Hearing this I was heartbroken. If she would be ours we will ever sold her. Why to leave someone in the old age when she gave you all of hers in her younger days? She gave you milk, fertilizer and all of her love. Inner Peace or Peace of mind is a state in which you are content with your self, your intellect is relaxed , you are not in a fight or flight mode and Your thoughts are optimistic and welcoming. Think it like an endless ocean which is vast and patient. Ocean has waves and storms sometimes but deep down it's silent, welcoming to the flow of the rivers, rainwaters and melting glaciers. It holds everything inside it such as marine life, storing zillions of gallons of water, carrying the weight of big cruises, ships , cargos and small motor boats but It never loses its identity. It's remains calm and endless. It's patient and resilient as it handles cyclones, storms, strong currents and turbulent waves.

How to find Peace within Yourself?

1. Practice to listen more-

Listening is the heart of the comunication. There is a thin line between hearing and listening. For effective listening we have to wholely present. For effectively engaging in Listening we have to involve ourselves in certain activities like making eye contact, nodding our head , focusing on facial expression of the speaker and sharing our thoughts and opinions after listening to the speaker. Listening is an art, Not everybody is a great listener.

Learn to say thank you to God for everything that you have. It has been scientifically observed that gratitude reduces depression, reduce aggression , improves mental health and improves relationship. It helps us to become more optimistic and patient.

4. Smile more

You will never know your smile can make someone's day. When we smile whole heartedly it releases good hormones like dopamin, endorphins and serotonin which enhances our mood. Smile builds good connections and it reduces stress inducing hormones likes cortisol and adrenaline.

5. Stop comparing yourself with others

It is well versed that comparison is a thief of joy. Indeed it is . It makes you feel unhappy about your life, It reduces your self worth. Everyone is genetically unique in this planet . Even 2 identical twins don’t carry the same DNA. So stop comparing yourself with others everybody is distinct in their ways of thinking, looks, personality and their family values. Comparison is a gateway to anxiety and envy.

6. Don't participate in arguments

There are certain things, conditions and events that you can't control. You can't fix somebody's emotions , You can't change someone. So try to disengage from fights and arguments. It's your choice. Disengaging prevents you from unnecessary yelling and screaming. It's shows that you have self control. If you are feeling bad of not being able to let go off your anger you can start deep breathing to let that emotions out, for releasing that rage you can focus on something meaningful and positive, you can go on nature like walking in nearby parks or you can talk to a trusted friend.

1. Choose Yourself Without Feeling Guilty

Don't be ashamed or afraid of saying No . Yes prioritise your time and energy. Create boundaries with people who don’t respect you , who always try to drag you down and who blame you all the time. Prioritize your needs first . Treat yourself like a king. You can't be always available for everyone. Be selectively kind without sacrificing your needs.

Peace taught me how to be content with myself without seeking validation from the outside world. There are still many hurricanes within me, but more importantly, I finally found the hidden treasure that had been inside me all along.

You started restricting yourself. You started counting calories and drinking excessive water when you were starving. You started overexercising just to burn the calories. I don't know how it all get started. May be it was comments from your neighbouring aunties and relatives that you have gained weight or may be it's because of you friend who made u feel inferiorn in terms of fair skin, tall height and glassy face. Let me hold u tightly and hug you firmly that my little angel it was not your fault for ruining yourself.

It wasn't the mirror. It was the world . It was the society who told women constantly to fit in certain beauty standards. Women's body is not a trend that always keeps trending like clothes. In early 1990’s it was heroic era where being tall and thin was considered as idol body. In early 2000- 2010 being toned and tanned was considered as beautiful. From 2017-2022 slim thick , curvy and voluptous body was considered as a real body. Now back in 2026 it's a skinny trend again. For getting that body many of the girls are on ozempics and other medicines for getting that fragile, skinny body.

My dear angel let me tell you being natural is your biggest asset. Do you know what things women body endure in their life monthly periods, labour pain during pregnancy, menopause , hormonal changes during pregnancy, endometriosis, PCOS , PCOD and many more.

You say most of the times that you want a glassy face with no acnes and pimples but these are like the parts of our body they have reason for coming and going back. Your body is like a machine. Do you know the acne that you hated are signs of hormonal fluctuations, stress and inflammatory reactions. Stretch marks are signs of growth , the scars are signs of healing from injuries and past trauma and wrinkles signify that you have lived longer and more happier. We need to appreciate them.

Do you remember the nights when you cried in silence and the tears were constantly coming out from your eyes. The tears were there to protect your eyes from bad microorganisms like bacteria. You hated being dark . Do you know being dark is a blessing in tropical countries like India, Phillipines and continents like Africa and Australia where dark skin is important for survival as the skin produces melanin in good amount that why we have dark skin as it protects from harmful rays of sun which causes cancer.

You also complained about not having a good body. Do you know most of your idols are silently suffering from eating disorders and anorexia where they constantly struggle with their food habits. They are bound to look in a certain way that's why they end up in calorie counting and overexercising. If you don't feel good about your body and consistently putting restrictions on it tell me Do you feel happy? You are healthy, active and blessed. Just treat it nicely. Don't be harsh on it. The killer had become the most feared person in the town.

The bustling town had fallen silent for weeks since the eighth case surfaced. Shopkeepers closed their shops early, fishermen stopped fishing after sunset, and children stopped playing outside.

Nobody was able to figure out who the killer was. He killed people at different times of the day and night. Every attack occurred at a different location, making it nearly impossible to trace a pattern.

People made different assumptions about him. Some called him a psychopath, while others called him a monster. Some believed he was a gangster, while others thought he was a demon. One evening, Joshua was sitting near the river when he noticed a group of newcomers enjoying the view. He walked over and showed them the sketch.

One of them was a wildlife expert.

Everybody gathered at her temple and priest also came to do her Pooja and they decorated her deserted temple after a long time with flowers and some leaves. The priest chant mantras and gave her her part of necklace and all of the things that wasn't given to her. She was kind soul she was asking for justice that wasn't given to her since 45 years. She blessed everybody by taking control of Priyanshi ‘s body and talked in Pooja ceremony.

After few days Priyanshi was normal again . Golu Devta Ji gave justice to that lady that she was constantly asking from 45 years . After that incident Ria was also normal again. Everybody was happy that She got her justice.

The God Of Justice

There's a lot of mystery that lies in the mountains of Uttarakhand. Golu Devta Ji ( which is kuldevta of most of villagers of Kumaun ( Eastern ) region of Uttarakhand gives justice to everyone and He protects the Villagers from evil spirits too. He rides a white horse and is dreses in white. He helps the local people and gives justice to all.

It was a dream we thought we will complete.

We always talked about the tulips of Netherlands. How we would settle abroad, how we could walk in foreign holding each other hands, exploring different kinds of coffee and walking on the streets of Europe wearing vintage clothes.

It was December. Quite cold and freezy we were in our 3 rd semester and our internship or dissertation was about to start. It was a chaotic situation. We have to work on a particular topic and have to write about it in thesis which is kind of like printed book of whatever work a student has learnt and it's written by him.

Everybody formed groups with their friends and my friend group was toxic . I didn't considered them as my friend cause they were secretly jealous of me I don’t know why but I used to sit with them . So that girl tried to contact with me from where I will do my dissertation I told her that I will not do it from my hometown. I am trying hard to apply in good institutioms I told her. She told me can you also do it for me ? She told me wherever I am applying just apply for her too. I agreed.I thought she's like a sister to me . I applied for both of us in good institutions.

From one of the good institution we got an email to join but later she told me she can't go in that institute. I also rejected their invitation . I thought we should hold each other hand together. Like it would be bad to deceive her. So we kept on applying in 4-5 institutions. I did all of her paperwork from filling her form to paying her application fee.

Most of the time she was ill kind of . So I was like as a friend I should help her. So I did everything for her from sending her previous year question paper to emotionally supporting her to filling her forms etc.

Then the day came it was her birthday we all were excited. We have order in bakery regarding her birthday cake. I still remember I bought a chocolate for her.

Then one of your subject teacher asked us about your dissertation status like guys where are you applying? Did anyone got an invitation from good institute? She then asked her ? What about you Miss S ? She told her ma’am I am trying by my own . Our teacher was angry She inquired again is nobody helping you ? She said no ma’am nobody is helping me . I am doing all of my work alone . She scolded all of us. Why you aren't helping her ?

That moment hit hard . Dude ! Why you lied to her ? Why ? Why are you playing victim card ? Tell me ? What bout me ? Didn't I helped you ? Didn't I applied wherever I have applied? For your sake I rejected my invitation from a prestigious institution that could have lifted my career. There were lots of questions going in my mind at that time. I tried to hide my tears and we all celebrated her birthday.

Everybody in class was so much in rage with her. Everybody was like she is not a child that we have to spoonfed her. She is an adult . She can take her own responsibility.

From that day I tried to maintain distance with her. I got invitation from another Good institute. I asked her if she's interested ? She told me she didn't get the invitation. I was like ok you try to contact them. In the meantime I visited the institute it was 2 hour drive away from my city. It was a good institute. My family also agreed that it's good . I was waiting for her . She called me I also got selected I was like it's good. Go have a visit and do some paperwork there. She did her paperwork. She was also not fully sure as she was repeatedly telling she is having some contacts in some private hospital. She is applying there.

But in my head it was clear I will do my dissertation with that institute. I was happy finally I am gonna get some good exposure. A notice came by our HOD from the January students will go to their traing and she asked the students who can do dissertation from college they can give their names . I asked her college is also providing training tell me what do u want to do. What's your final take ? That institute is it 100% confirmed? From 3 days all I was asking her was clarity because that institute was far away from my home and daily commute via bus wasn't possible cause it was in midst of jungle kind of and it was winter. She was not giving me conformity. I was pissd off by her. I told everything to my family and they told me don't listen to her she is using you . You will face difficulties later on. Honestly I was left alone in my college to not have clarity where to go cause I thought of sharing pg with her but she's not giving any clarification to me . I was terrified of all the possibilities. Finally I took courage and went to college.

Our HOD was surprised by looking at my face Piru you told us you will go there. I told her not the full story but told her Ma'am that place is far and she understood cause she was very kind and down. I was a good student and she knew me so she told me beta dont worry You can work under me. I felt relieved and going under her turned into blessing into disguise.

Before going to college for her goodwill I told her Miss S I am going to college and will do my work from there. If you want to come you can come . She told me she will go in that hospital it's confirmed by her .

That moment her mask fell off . I ignored the red flags. She was a lier , manipulator who took advantage of my kind heart. I was a kind soul who tried everything for her .

I felt so much sad and lethargic at that moment. I told this to my family. From that day I maintained my distance with her.

You know karma came back. I didn't want this to happen to her. But she failed in 1 subject in 3 rd semester. That result came in middle of our training. I came to know about it later. Till the end of our training I remained with her but I was maintaining distance from her cause I was emotionally exhausted and I felt used , manipulated by her words. She created fake personna of some of my classmate in front of me but I used to listen to her only and wasn't following her words. One of my so called classmate turned into my friend in midst of 3 rd semester when the truth revealed on her birthday. She explained everything to me . She is like this. But it was too late.

But later as I told you guys she failed in 1 subject . So while our training was completed we all were celebrating it. She was frustrated and confused as She had to give the paper next year. Honestly with time everything heals.

I tried to limit my contact with her slowly slowly. I erased all my memories. They vanished with time . I blocked her finally for my mental peace as after all of this she was behaving like nothing happened and I was mentally exhausted by all of this.

I blocked her out of Truecaller and WhatsApp but still I was getting notifications that this person called you and yeah when I saw 3 missed call I was laughing cause I am not a pschyo but I was laughing as I let go off her. I was free from the pain she gave me. Finally the game is over Checkmate.

1.Selfless givers or overgivers- The individuals who try to help others unconditionally. They go beyond their limits like forgetting about their mental health, giving money to people even they are going through financial crises or constsntly supporting their loved ones by becoming their healer , therapist or listener.

2. Otherish givers- They are also givers who aid people practically or strategically not selflessly without being emotional exhausted. They choose themselves before others. They don't abandon themselves for others. They said no if they think they are getting drained or tired.

How to stop Overgiving ?

1. Start saying No . Really it does miracles.

2. Stop fixing people. You can't change someone within short span of time.

3. You can't take accountability all the time of people's emotions and problems. Let them take responsibilities of their problems.

4. Give only if you think you can help without emotionally exhausted or burnt out.

5. Set healthy boundaries with your loved ones, friends and colleagues.

6. Build your own habits, hobbies and goals.

7. Stop expecting from people that they will reciprocate the same efforts as you did.

8. Engage yourself in activities like journalling, writing, reading or cycling which calls your nervous system.

9. Before helping ask yourself Am I really able to help without being feeling guilty later?

10. Stay away from takers, manipulators, narcissists and toxic people.

11. Practice receiving . Love shouldn't be one sided only. Try to accept praises and compliments from others.

12. Priorities yourself first above all

“Kindness is the most precious thing happened to the humanity. Being kind is good and beautiful but kindness or giving shouldn't come from exhaustion. The people who will love you will always be by your side even if you don't give much regularly . Be kind to yourself first then being kind to others.”

Now I can see the same dreams in someone eyes . I ask her often . Beta ! What do you want to become in the future? She confidently says Ma’am I want to become a scientist in the future. I compliment her that's good .

When I ask her brother he says Ma’am my dream is to burn the whole school. I laughed continuously when he told me about his dream. Anyways I ask him well what do u want to become he says Ma'am My father wants me to be an IPS ( Civil servant) . I feel sad because from the childhood only parents decide what they want their children to be.

It's not their choice. My heart aches very much as I been through it. The innocent soul says Ma’am I want to become a Godzilla I will rule the world. I laugh . He says ma’am they haven't included drawing in our curriculum I feel sad as he is good in it. So out of empathy I allow him to draw whatever he wants.

I mean why we don't let them choose whatever they want ? Why they don't have artistic freedom ? If I will ask the same questions to young adults are they happy in their jobs or work ? Most of them will answer that they are doing it for survival. Out of all the people I have enquired most of them love artistic careers like singer, dancer, actor, photographer and most of them are into sports.

We complaints about our atheletes they have done bad in olympics. But do we have enough time for sports back in the school. No we don't have . Then why we expect more?

Why we think that these careers are short - lived? Nobody gives a shit when you are successful in your field. Why we chase the things we don't like ? It can be because of fear of society, fear of judgements from relatives, or it can be because we think these careers or hobbies will spoil the child.

Back to the topic. I still remember the day when Every kid in my class used to flex he wants to be astronaut, scienctist, doctor or pilot I was new in the school coming from a small village . I don' know the answer so I spoke what other kids answered . I told my teacher I want to be an astronaut. I still remember the words I spoke.

Am I am astronaut in the present ? No, because in childhood there are some characters which are romantized in the cartoons especially for the kids to cater their lovely childhood days . Most kids believe oh ! they are cool careers they must be fun and interesting.

“They say too much pleasure is pain.” Looking back to the pleasurable memories of the past I feel pain inside my heart. I still had the exact scene playing endlessly in my mind that I thought it must be divine.

We used to play hide and seek in the fields, We used to build the house from scratch that wasn't ours, we used to play rock, paper and scissors, used to play football, cricket, kabaddi, 3 claps, tippie tippie toe, piddu , ludo, snacks and ladders, carom board and thumb fights.

We used to go in groups in the road .Cycling , walking and running around the lushy green fields It felt so relieving at that time. Now in mid or late 20’s we have pressure to earn, study and settle.

We were carefree, it was our freedom. We used to think adult life is good as adults don't follow rules and regulations. But if I will a chance to go back in my past I will tell the little me Don't worry darling just do what makes your heart happy.

I still remember the nostalgic childhood moments we had . I wanna go back and revisit every moment that I had . That's the beauty of childhood. As we were not having phones the curious mind of us want to know everything from our parents, teachers, friends or relatives. Being a early 2000’s kid I still watch the same old cartoons like doraemon, oggy and the cockroaches, kitrensu, Thomas and his friends, Tom and Jerry, ninja hatori, chota bheem etc.

The inner child inside me wants to explore a lot . That's why I am treating her with more empathy and more love.

The stars around me used to shine brightly. I used to imagine I could be an astronaut and travel freely in the sky and watch the stars along with my flight. That were some good old memories from the lovely childhood we had that keeps our soul awake.

Every time I felt sick you healed me but why you can't be healed? The night you drifted from me suddenly I thought may be I am toxic or may be you are a bad person.

I was so drowsy that I ignored the first few calls, thinking it could wait. But when I finally checked my phone, there were 24 missed calls.

I was astonished.

He was 24 , stood 5’11. He was undeniably handsome.He had pale skin , wore spectacles and was in a good physique. Any girls could have fallen in love with me.

That's when the midnight started.

We met on a social media that connects people related to work, job or internship. You all have guessed it. I accepted his request as we were into same profession. He belonged to the same place . Coincidentally, we went to the same college except he was my senior but in another department.

Then the conversation began to start. He was disciplined ,intelligent ,spiritual and a funny guy. He used to travel frequently where I used to live cause he has done his degree from there only.

We started taking randomly about different things. As we were into same career we talked continuously for hours until I used to tell him to sleep.

He was multitalented . He started to tell me bout his routine how he gets up early. He was living in mountains. Everyday he used to run 5 km in a single run. He was pro in cooking. He confessed his love forcooking multiple times in calls. That boy was an excellent poet and writer. He had all the qualities every women loves. He was perfect.

Everyday he started calling me . Initially I thought I should listen to him about his life , his challenges. But it started to happen continuously. When I stopped replying his messages and calls he started texting me why you are not picking my calls? Why ignoring me?

In my mind I was saying Dude I am not your girlfriend or your slave Whenever you will call I will pick up.

I started to make assumptions about him . Is he a psycho? Does he has insomnia? May be he is homesick? May be he is lonely or May be he has anxiety issue.

One day he confessed me he had sleep related problem so he was unable to sleep. He was taking medicines to cure it.

I told him to take care of him and told him directly don't call me at midnight as it's hampering my sleep. For few days he stopped calling.

Then out of the blue his phones started to rang up continuously. I picked his calls. I asked him is he okay? He told me he is having anxiety attacks. He told me he needs someone to talk. I told him kindly it's ok if you are having these problems you can call me anytime and as he was away from his home at midnight he can't call his parents.

I asked him about his medicines. He told me he is not taking them as he ran out of medicines. I asked him go to pharmacist shop. He told me it's a small town . They don't have his medicines. He told me he is coming to my city and will buy medicines from there. He told me to meet up with him as I was also coming to my home from another place . I agreed to meet him up

No doubt that boy was kind and helping. He was hardworking and dedicated towards his studies. He also guided me and gave me previous years papers to practice. But his one problem made me question his character . In the daylight he looks calm and composed but he becomes restless at midnight. So we met for 15 minutes in a park nearby our college. I was in hurry cause I have to transfer my stuff back to my hometown . I told him I had to go home with this belongings. While we were standing at the entrance of the park . I was literally carrying 2 bags one was kind of usual college bag and another bag was full of my clothes, blankets and utensils.

He didn't asked if I will be able to lift them all the way to park as my luggage was heavy . He didn't cared. When I met him I saw his true colour. He was straight up narcissist, egoistic and dominating person. I was shocked by his real personality.

Anyway I came home . I had lots of questions in my head but I was afraid to ask.

Again he started to call continuously in the midnight . This time he told his whole twisted story. He told me he is unable to let go off her. Yes , he was stuck in past. 7 years ago his story started . They were in deep love. She was his 1 st love. She was 3 years older than him. He told me she was perfect for him in every way. They studied in the same college , used to go to the same tution and used to explore the whole city together.

He tried to speak, but the words got stuck in his throat. He told me it happened 1 year back when his ex was forced to marry someone and at that time he wasn't doing a job. He tried to fight off for their future in that situation but he wasn't able to make her father believe he can be something. He fell at his girlfriend's father's feet, begging him not to marry her off to someone else. But he wasn't able to do anything. So they broke up . That pain was stopping him to move on.

That loss was killing him inside . To forget his past he drank endlessly for months. He took money from his friends that wasnt able to pay back. He smiled like a crazy man. He told me he did everything to forget her. He told me he started doing yoga, meditation and started exercising, running and writing his thoughts. One day he told me he was so much frustrated that he went to the brothel but when he saw that lady he smashed money in her face but he didn't did anything with her. He told me her memory is haunting him. I listened empathetically.

I told him to focus on his present and guided him to focus on his career. Told him if he feels depressed he can call me anytime except the midnight. I was feeling bad about him. So he stopped calling for few days.

After few days he started calling again. I asked him is there any thing ? He said nothing. He asked me do you want to come in relationship with me ? I denied . I am focusing on my career I said. He told me multiple times is there any friend in your contacts who is single? I replied in a composed way. No All my friends are not interested. I ended the conversation by saying bye.

Repeatedly he started calling me and asking the same questions . I was so much drained by his conversation that I choose peace in the midnight. I can't be his emotional healer . It was exhausting for me to pick up his call at midnight. I told him I can't answer multiple times.

Finally I ended everything in the midnight . I blocked him out of everywhere with no warning. That midnight felt peaceful and relaxing.

It was few years back. It was April but it felt like may . It was sweltering hot day. As usual I was doing my work, everything was all good. So that day I decided to go home early around 4 PM. I was living far away from my city so I was the master of my life.

I decided I will finally leave my workplace around 4 PM. I reached my home within 25 minutes. When I reached my entrance gate some random men asked me if I had a power bank . Before answering the question I asked them what happened? They answered there's a power cut in our area. I said no I don't have a powerbank.

So, suddenly I remembered there was some electricity work going on in our area . Lots of crowds were standing on the main Street of our area and some electricians and line men were fixing something in poles.

I checked my battery on phone. It was only 17%. I started panicking .I was worried as I wouldn't be able to call my parents or siblings in the night if the electricity problem wouldn't be fixed.

So suddenly, I got an idea . May be in another area of the city it wouldn't be a power cut. So I made a plan . I walked towards the another area of the city and within 15 minutes of walking I reached the place where I need to charge my phone up.

It was a temple. There was a big , magnificent temple in tha area. I have been there many times. So I reached the temple I prayed there, I chant mantras there and took blessings from the almighty power. Then after it , I start searching power sockets in every corner of the temple.

There was a large hallway in the temple and there I discovered them . Finally I was relieved and I plugged in my charger in that socket and my phone begsn to charge. I was thanking God like thank you for helping me. I saw a men in the hallway he was mopping the floor of the temple. He was very devoted towards the god . He was chanting mantras and simultaneously doing his work too.

I was just sitting in the floor and smiling at some strangers. Until then everything seemed perfect.

But soon as he entered the premises. My whole perception of kindness changed. He came out of the blue .I was still lost in my own thoughts but instantly he came out of nowhere and began to start asking some questions? I didn't paid attention to him . Then he repeated his question. Beta why you didn't went to the school. I was astonished? He asked another question what's the problem, tell me ! I was in total shock.

I was wandering in my mind Do I look like a child to you? I am a grown adult . Can't you see that in my face ? Then I answered him politely , Sir I am not a school going student. I am doing my college degree. He told me he thought I was either in class highschool or class 11 th.

On knowing about my qualification he started to start yapping in English. I was replying him in hindi. He seemed so professional . I was shocked by his proficiency in the language. He told me he has served in the military services. I praised him about his dedication towards the nation. Then he started to talk deeply about some key topics of life like sleep, yoga , meditation. He seemed quite knowledgeable and kind.

I also gained some trust by hearing his story. He told me he did volunteering job in education field and he is a part of a community which is focusing on yoga and mental health. I was amazed by his work . So the conversation kept going.

Meanwhile, I was also noticing my phone
at certain interval of time , I had to leave for other place for my work. I was also observing my phone. That man was tall, slim and wore a traditional attire. He talked about God.about why we should come not forget our values and traditions etc. He told me something that shocked me . He told me his wife is no more. She died of cancer some years back. He was living alone.

Being an empathetic person. I Consoled him. I was feeling heavy. I tried to think like a philosopher and discussed about life. Iwas bout to leave the temple . I checked my phone it was 39%. I was like Sir, I had to leave. He told me He haven't seen any adult like me who is emotional, spiritual , empathetic and intellectual. I thought he was carried away by my conversation. But I had to leave the temple. So I told him that I had to go.

He stopped me for a while and took out his phone and asked me to share his number. I denied him. But he requested, he told me if I need to know about yoga, meditation or education he will help me. He even told me to join his elderly yoga group at 6 AM in the park. I was heavily influenced by him so I agreed, he tried to call my number but there was some error so my phone was not buzzing. So he told me to dial his number instead. I had idea in my mind May be after leaving this place I will block his number . So I agreed. That man was witty he asked me to dial his number with my own hands in my own mobile and he checked if his phone was buzzing or not. He told me to save his no by his name. Finally I saved his number and waved goodbye to him. I was in hurry as I have to urgently reach to another location that was half hour away from that location.

I had headache in the night so I forgot about this encounter and slept off. I was very unwell another day. I woke up in the afternoon . I checked my phone for any calls from my workplace and home. I was shocked there were endless numbers of calls from that man. Then suddenly I remembered, Oh! That's the Sir’s number. My first instinct was to block that men from my phone . But the empathetic character embedded inside me told me to not hurt anybody by directly blocking them. I asked him if He was okay or not. He told me he was okay and asked me why I was not picking his calls? I was still suffering from headache and vomiting and I replied to him Sir I am unwell and suffering from headache , vomiting and fever since last night. I switched off my phone and slept again as I wasn't having any energy at that time.

I woke up around 6 PM and I switched on my phone. I was shocked to see that this man again contacted me n number of times. I wish I wouldn't have opened that message. My whole perception about him shattered within a second. I was traumatized to see that message. It wasn't the exact message he wrote but it's similar to that. I am not having screenshot of it otherwise I would have shared it with you guys.

My Dear Abc. I was worried about you whole day. What happened to you ? You are my heart. Call me my love if you need me to visit your home. I will come to your come and treat you. You are my love . Take medicine and hydrate yourself.

It was the final message I received from him. I freaked out of fear and immediately blocked his number on WhatsApp and phone. At that particular moment, everything was making sense to me. I replayed his old conversation in my head. He told me I am cute and looking like 15 or 16. He told me that he is as slim as me.

I am still flabbergasted to this day that he was an old man . Probably in his mid sixties. Trying to hit on a girl. Initially he thought of me as a minor. But when he discovered that I am an adult he switched his tone and appearee very knowledgeable. I told this incident to all of my closed ones and everyone was as shocked like me. That old man still tried to contact me in Truecaller .I blocked him out of everywhere. But that message still haunts me.

That text shattered the whole image I had about society. From that day I don't trust any stranger be it a man , woman , child or anyone. For the first time I felt so afraid. Yes , the devil wore a mask of kindness. The real world is full of Predators who are keeping an eye on their prey.

Final message - “Show your kindness where you feel safe and appreciated.” Never trust anyone blindly. Be alert and attentive all the time.

Their words tore my heart so well that I understood that they aren't mine. I have seen the real Dracula inside them which they were hiding from me since childhood. Crying in the dark I feel so happy that they are not around me . If they would be around me May be I can't cry like this .

Whatever they told me to do I did that . Proudly I can say that they are the people who educated everybody but they don’t educate themselves. I am proud to introduce that these are my parents.

Growing up as a child I studied in the same school where one of my parents taught. Everybody made fun of me because I wasn't exposed to basic things . They don't taught me situational awareness, how to communicate. I used to fumble hard everybody laughed at me but I tolerated.

In the meantime I got my best friend. She was my soulmate. She was the best among all. But She went to another school. At that time I wasn't having a cellphone. From that day my life turned into hell. I was left alone. I don't know whom to talk , how to talk as I wasn't having anybody to share my deep emotions.

Fortunately We reunited accidentally at the same coaching again. I hug her so hard and she too . Everybody was staring us because we just hugged each other so deeply that we forgot that others are watching us.From that day we are together.

The reason my parents trusted her because from 6 th class to 8 th class we have grown together in the same neighborhood in front of my parents and we went to the same tution.

It was my birthday back in autumn . I was so excited for it . We took permission from them to go to cafes they agreed but as we reached only 2 km away from home. Phone started to ring zillions of time . I ignored the calls . I don't want to ruin my birthday in front of my bestie. We just ate food and came home after 1 hour due to fear of my father. But when we came home instead of welcoming us they yelled at me and my best friend. Where we you both guys? They even called her parents like they went outside together. Her parents know about it they were so chilled . When they lectured her too I took a stand and just told them they din’t have any right to scold her.

It’s just a glimpse of their behaviour with me. I don't know how to survive in this joint family where everybody is so conservative . They wanna know everything about me where I am going, who I am talking, why I am taking time to get ready to dressup up, Why I am wearing jeans and t shirts.

I just wanna runaway. “Runaway so far where I am alone , where I can say I am free , I am at peace with myself.”

Fast forward I am in my mind twenties, I have countless degrees but no fixed job. Thankfully I got a job that pays peanuts but I am happy doing it. 3 months back it all started with random claim of an astrologer that my parents believed . His remarks on my kundali were her future is doomed, she will not get a job, she will get difficulty in getting married and her own friends will deceive her. They believed in it.

From January it all started . Initially they whatsapped all my biodata to all of my relatives without my consent. I kept silent. But when it happened repeatedly I blocked some of them. I told everyone I don't want to get married. I am still studying my masters but they didn't listened to my words.

I was forced to delete my friends number fortunately I hide some of my friends contacts. I was left alone. I was isolated from everyone. My own sister didn't support me . They say Parents are God but some parents don’t deserve to be parents . They are monsters at night but angels at day in front of everyone except me.

You know it was a bittersweet lesson that life gave you to be taught by someone who told you to love yourself first and not to dependent on others because you came here alone and you will go alone. Very few souls are lucky who leave this world together.
