Heading into this game, most people are undervaluing this Colorado team and saw them lose last year to this Georgia Tech team 27-20 at Colorado and they fact they went 3-9 SU last season. However, I believe people are forgetting that this Colorado team is much improved and different than they were last season, especially offensively! The new hire Brennan Marion is the new Offensive Coordinator which was a great hire by HC Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders! This will be an offense that will look to play up- tempo fast pace this season! Remember, last year Georgia Tech struggled against the pass in the secondary and now they have a new Defensive Coordinator in Jason Semore. In the first game of the season, I don’t see that being fixed right away, especially against this new offensive look for Colorado that has stud wide receiver talet on the outside surrounding QB Julian Lewis. Wide Receivers in Cam Perry (transferred from Miami), DeAndre Moore (transfer from Texas), and Danny Scudero who was a second team All-American last season with San Jose State with over 1300 receiving yards last year and should have plenty opportunities to make big plays in this game with this new tempo offense!

Keep in mind too, the Buffaloes averaged 126 yards per game on the ground which was the most under HC Deion Sanders in his tenure at Colorado. The Buffaloes bring back their starting offensive line which had 100 total starts with experience and that’s huge for this offense! With that being said, this Colorado offense should be highly effective this season overall and much improved! I don’t see this Georgia Tech defense slowing down this Colorado offense in Jason Semore’s first game as DC, especially with a defense that allowed 25 ppg and 400 yards per game last season.

Now, most people will talk about QB Alberto Mendoza who was brought in from Indiana, the brother of Francisco Mendoza, and hype him up in this Georgia Tech offense around some talent HC Bret Key brought in surrounding him and I get all of that. However, new Offensive Coordinator George Godsey (once was a QB at GT), could struggle to get this offense going early. If he does get them going early and they can score points, then this will be a high scoring affair. But I do believe the loss of Offensive Coordinator in Buster Faulkner who went to Florida, is a bigger deal than most would think.

Put it all together, I believe we see a closer game than most expect in what could potentially be a higher scoring affair which does favor the algorithm of DOG/OVER in this matchup!

Yesterday the Total came in at 11 and it finished with a 2-1 Orioles victory and yet the Total comes in here again set at 11 as well and for good reason.

Look, Kyle Bradish has not pitched well recently as he’s allowed 8 WALKS in his last three starts, 17 HITS, 12 RUNS, 10 ER, & 3 HRs in his last two combined starts in just 9.1 IP and has a 1.58 WHIP on the ROAD this season! That’s a bit concerning which keeps me off the side! Now, despite the Rockies losing their last five games, they did get robbed of a game-winning HR last night and that should motivate them here to bounce back and get to Bradish who is struggling with command recently! The Orioles bullpen is taxed as well being used heavily in their last four games with no days off to earn all four victories! The Rockies are due to break out offensively at some point as they are still a top-10 offense in Batting Average, On Base Slugging Percentage, RBIs, & Runs scored!

As for the Rockies starter, Gabriel Hughes has been atrocious allowing a HR in five straight games and in those games he’s allowed 28 HITS, 26 ER, & 12 BBs all in the month of August which comes out to a 10.03 ERA! That’s just abysmal! Recently, heading into this game he’s allowed 6 BBs and 11 HITS with 7 ER and that’s not good when facing a motivated Orioles team who is 8-2 SU in their last 10 games currently a 0.5 GB of a Wild Card spot! The urgency to win and score runs is now for the Orioles! Prior to scoring only 2 runs in yesterday’s victory, the Orioles had averaged 5.5 rpg scoring 22 runs in their previous four contests! They will be motivated here offensively to bounce back and give Bradish some run support who has struggled recently as I already alluded to.

Put it all together, I believe this TOTAL is set high again tonight for a reason and we should see some runs at Coors Field!

The Texans come into this game with a 0-2 record in August and they come off a wild loss last week to the Raiders in a game they should have won! NOBODY wants to go winless in August as that can lead to a bad start in the regular season regardless of the fact if starters play or not in the final preseason game especially if it’s a team with playoff aspirations and are expected to win their division!

The Carolina Panthers just annihilated the Jaguars last week scoring 34 points in a double digit victory and really have no urgency to win here as the coaching staff could get caught looking ahead to a big matchup at home against the Bears in Week 1 of the regular season.

With that being said, teams like the Texans in this exact situation that are winless heading into their final game of the preseason at a “pick’em” Moneyline price up to (-2) are a incredible 17-2 SU going 15-4 ATS since 2010 against non-conference opponents! ⭐️

LV RAIDERS (-3.5) over San Francisco 49ers

The Raiders had an incredible 2nd half comeback victory over the Texans on the road last week with an Aidan O’Connell last second TD run and HC Klint Kubiak got his first win as a head coach in the NFL! That is just a momentum boost for this Raiders team, especially with guys trying to make this team who will want to go out with another win. This is a Raiders team that has a strong running back room with Mike Washington Jr, Roman Hemby, Ogunbowale, and Dylan Laube behind Ashton Jeanty. The Raiders have ran the ball really well in Preseason so far including last week against the DeMeco Ryans Texans defense with 159 rushing yards at 5.7 yards per carry! We should see more Fernando Mendoza and Aidan O’Connell at QB as it looks like Kirk Cousins is going to win the starting job. Both QBs have done well moving the ball down the field and should have some success again here as this offense has had 717 total yards of offense in just two games this preseason.

The 49ers are not looking to play their starters this week as they already had their dress rehearsal last week when QB Brock Purdy took reps in a blowout 49ers victory over the LA Chargers.

The 49ers are 2-0 ATS as an underdog in preseason and most bettors will look to back them here, however, they are an underdog yet again for a third straight game which indicates that the oddsmakers are telling us the Raiders should have success here and win this game by margin.

In yesterday’s Twins victory there were 28 hits & 15 runs scored. Tonight, we could see yet another higher scoring affair as it will be over 90* weather with winds blowing out towards center field. The Athletics have averaged 5.7 rpg in their last three games with 32 hits in the process as they are seeing the ball well! The Twins pitching staff has allowed 6.2 rpg in their last five games and Taj Bradley has struggled with his command allowing 13 walks in his last four starts combined and has a 4.26 ERA on the ROAD this season. He’s continued to struggle in August allowing a ton of baserunners with a 6.00 ERA.

Gage Jump has a 6.02 ERA & 1.66 WHIP at HOME this season and has allowed 16 ER in his four starts in August. The Athletics are 3-1 to the OVER in those starts in the month of August as well!

Both these bullpens are atrocious as the Athletics have the worst bullpen in MLB with a 5.66 ERA and the Twins bullpen is bottom-10 with a 4.62 ERA.

Keep in kind too both these teams have been very profitable to the OVER as the TWINS are cashing 63% on the ROAD and the A’S are cashing 61% at HOME!

The Giants have now lost four straight games and are coming off a 6-game east coast road trip. Neither of these two teams are going to the playoffs, however Chase Burns still wants to win as the Reds lost back on April 16th at home to the Giants when he last faced them. Remember, Burns has had a quality start in 7 of his last 8 appearances and the Reds are 6-2 SU in those games as well. How bad are the Dolphins second and third teams? They looked absolutely horrible on Friday against the Commanders after Malik Willis came out of the game. Now they will face HC Jim Harbaugh and this Giants team who could have easily defeated the Vikings at Home!

The Jaguars should win this game comfortably mainly due to the fact that there are a ton of offensive linemen that are injured for the Panthers. It doesn’t matter who the QB is behind center or who the running back is.. if the guys upfront are struggling to block and key pieces are missing.. the offense will struggle to move the football. People seem to forget that football starts at the line of scrimmage and everything else plays into effect afterwards.

Remember, Carolina is now playing their third preseason game in three different cities in the last three weeks. They played in Canton, OH for the HOF game, then went to Buffalo to play in the new stadium and lost 14-29, and now traveling to Jacksonville in which the Jags will more than likely be playing their starters on both defense and offense in the first half according to HC Liam Coen in a press conference. The Jags have momentum from their win in New Orleans and will be highly motivated here to play their first home game. Keep in mind, Week 2 is when you normally start to see starters play as they don’t really touch the field in the last week of Preseason Week 3.

LAS VEGAS RAIDERS (+1.5) over Houston Texans

5:00pm PST - THURSDAY 8/20/26

The injuries continue to pile up for the Texans as now they just lost backup QB Graham Mertz to a ACL tear. The backup QB room doesn’t look good right now and the Raiders have the clear advantage here when it comes to quarterbacks. We should see Kurt Cousins get more playing time here along with other offensive starters. The defense is expected to get more reps as well according to HC Klint Kubiak.

Despite HC DeMeco Ryans being 5-1 SU in preseason with the Texans before the Chargers game last week, he could find his team in another tough situation here at the QB position later in the game as Brett Rypien was just signed to the team and really has no familiarity with the offense. The Texans backup offensive line was atrocious in Week 1 and that could continue to be an issue here. If QB Aiden O’Connell is taking control with this Raiders offense, he should do just enough to set his team up with the victory in the 4th quarter if this happens to come down to the wire.

The Cardinals split the double header yesterday after blowing the lead late in GM 2. They will look to get a win today as they are now 6-4 SU against this Reds team this season. Kyle Leahy has a 1.50 ERA in his last four starts which includes a no-decision against the Reds on July 26th and has not taken a loss since June 17th. The Cardinals bats will look to give him some run support here as they face Andrew Abbott who has struggled at home with a 4.97 ERA and has struggled recently in his last four starts with a 12/14 strikeout-to-walk ratio! The Cardinals also have the better bullpen as well and need to keep winning against bad baseball teams if they are going to make the Wild Card!

ARIZONA D’BACKS (+125) over Boston Red Sox

The D’Backs have built up some momentum heading into this series after winning the series in Atlanta over the weekend. The Red Sox have fallen back to earth as they have now lost 7 of their last 9 games and have now lost three straight series after losing in Pittsburgh to the Pirates. This will be a bullpen game for the Red Sox as Alec Gamboa will start and then Brayan Bello will come in after him who has a 4.84 ERA and 1.43 WHIP.

The Diamondbacks need to keep winning as they are only 1 GB of a Wild Card spot and currently right now Mitch Bratt is in solid form as he has a 1.50 ERA in his last three starts (18 IP), only allowing a total of 3 ER with only a 0.89 WHIP!

MILWAUKEE BREWERS (-125) over LA Dodgers

The Dodgers have won four of their last five games while the Brewers are 1-4 SU in their last five games, yet the Dodgers are an underdog at home!? 🤔 That’s how much respect Jacob Misiorowski has in the betting markets! He has a 1.76 ERA in which he’s ranked 1st in ERA, most importantly in STRIKEOUTS! In all of his 22 starts this season, the Miz hasn’t allowed more than 3 ER! In his last 18 IP, he’s recorded 31 STRIKEOUTS! 🤯

With that being said, the Brewers get a favorable matchup here against Justin Wrobleski who has been atrocious recently allowing 20 HITS, 15 ER, & 9 HRs in his last 13.2 IP (3 starts)! He actually broke an All-Time Dodgers record of allowing 4 HRs in back-to-back games from a starting pitcher in LA Dodgers history! 👀 The Brewers should get to him here as they are a top-five offense in runs scored and they should be motivated here offensively, coming off scoring only 1 run in last nights game. The Brewers have a ton of revenge against this Dodgers team, especially from what happened in the postseason last year.

Keep in mind, the LA Dodgers are 1-4 SU in Justin Wrobleski’s last five starts, currently losing their last three games when he’s on the mound! 😳

The Brewers have the best record in baseball and need to start winning games again now as the Cubs are only 3 GB of them for the NL Central Division.

The Dolphins are expected to play their starters for majority of the first half according to HC Jeff Hafley. Newly acquired QB Malik Willis from Green Bay is expected to play majority of this game along with Quinn Ewers. These two QB’s have plenty of NFL experience at the starting position from recent years and should be able to move the football down field at will. Willis is a running QB and should exploit this Commanders defense with his legs and arm, giving this Dolphins offense plenty of opportunities to score points.

Commanders HC Dan Quinn has indicated that he will NOT be playing any starters. QB Marcus Mariota is expected to get very little work which means 7th round pick QB Athan Kaliakmanis will be taking most of the reps who has never taken an NFL snap.. QB Sam Hartman will be coming in later in the game after him. The Dolphins defense should be able to create a ton of havoc on the line of scrimmage against these two QB’s in what could be a long night for this Commanders offense.
