Today’s episode explores the reasonable impulse amongst some of us to offer Anthroposophical understandings as an aid to humanity. But how does one make offerings and at the same time maintain the very key parameter of respecting the free will of others? Given my own lifelong aversion to advice-not-solicited, I start the conversation with that title question.

From GA 234 Lecture 1 (Jan 1924), Steiner gave this indication:

Whoever decides to speak about Anthroposophy must assume, to begin with, that what he wants to say is really just what the heart of his listener is itself saying. Indeed, no science based on initiation has ever intended to utter anything except that which was really being spoken by the hearts of those who wished to hear. To meet the deepest needs of the hearts of those requiring Anthroposophy must be, in the fullest sense, the fundamental note of every presentation of it.

[For a future podcast, Ronda wonders: So, given also that none of us is an initiate, how can we come to know what is the heart-longing of another?]
