• And here comes the predictable bullshit: Washington hasn’t actually explained what happened. The military says it is aware of the allegation and “never targets civilians,” which is the bureaucratic equivalent of saying well, we didn’t mean to. Meanwhile, this is the same conflict that began with strikes that killed civilians, and we’re right back to pretending every dead civilian is just some unfortunate footnote in a military briefing.

• Iran isn’t exactly taking this lying down: Missiles and drones are now flying toward U.S. positions across Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain and Iraq.

• Army leadership is fucking imploding. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll is reportedly resigning after raising concerns about Army readiness and transformation, specifically accusing Pete Hegseth of blocking those efforts by firing the generals responsible for them. Six months into a war, losing senior military leadership over readiness while your own defense secretary is apparently getting in the way of rebuilding the force is not exactly a fucking picture of competence.

• And while Washington is playing musical chairs, the war keeps getting worse. U.S.-Iran fighting has resumed, oil is back above $90, and the Strait of Hormuz remains snarled despite whatever lies DJT posts on the daily. AI videos and social media posts may have declared victory 67 times since the war started, but your wallet hasn’t won a damn thing this entire time…

• Now look at what the market is telling you. Japan’s 10-year yield just hit 3% for the first time since 1996, global bond yields are ripping higher and investors are demanding more compensation because they’re increasingly worried about inflation and supply, not growth. That’s the fucking trap: Washington keeps pretending this is some controlled military operation while the bond market, oil market and now military leadership are all screaming that the situation is becoming increasingly fucking uncontrollable.

THE BOND MARKET JUST CALLED WASHINGTON’S BLUFF

• The bond market is done playing along: Japan’s 10-year yield just cracked 3% for the first time since 1996, global yields are ripping higher and oil is back above $90. This isn’t investors betting on some glorious economic boom. They’re demanding more money because inflation, energy disruption and Washington’s debt addiction are making the entire system look increasingly unstable.

• Washington built a fucking feedback loop: Every lever the administration keeps pulling makes the next problem worse. War and energy disruptions push oil higher, higher oil feeds inflation, inflation keeps rates higher, higher rates make America’s $40T+ debt mountain more expensive to finance, and that growing debt burden gives investors even more reason to demand higher yields. It’s not economic strategy. It’s a fucking loop.

• The rest of the world is starting to say fuck this: Higher yields aren’t happening in isolation. From Tokyo to London to New York, bond markets are repricing the risk of persistent inflation, massive government borrowing and disrupted energy supplies. Washington can keep pretending it controls the narrative, but capital doesn’t give a shit about press conferences. It goes where the risk-adjusted return makes sense. • Trump just lit the fucking fuse again. After a month of relative quiet, U.S. forces bombed two Iranian rocket sites on Larak Island, Iran fired 14 ballistic missiles and drones back at U.S. bases, and Trump responded by posting an AI-generated fantasy video of Kharg Island being blown to smithereens. This is not some brilliant military strategy. It’s the same fucking cycle we’ve watched for six months: provoke, bomb, get retaliation, threaten something bigger, then pretend everything is under control.

• And what exactly did we accomplish? We bombed two isolated launch sites and apparently prevented a potential mine deployment. Great. Meanwhile, Hormuz remains fucked, oil is surging, and there is still no decisive military victory or diplomatic resolution. Trump has spent six months announcing that Iran is destroyed, defeated, collapsing and ready to surrender, yet somehow we’re still bombing the same country seven months later, and pissing away billions and billions to accomplish NOTHING

  

• And Americans are paying for this shit. Gas has hit a two-year high. And the war has now officially added an average $1,000 fuel bill to the average commuter over six months (extra $20 per tank, 2x per week, for 6 months = $1,000). And Trump’s response? He’s “not in a hurry” to end the war. Of course he isn’t. He’s not the one paying the fucking gas bill, the interest bill or the national debt. The American public gets inflation and $40 trillion in debt while this asshole gets another AI war video for Truth Social.

TRUMP’S VENEZUELA OIL DEAL IS ANOTHER FUCKING DISTRACTION

• This isn’t an oil windfall. It’s a fucking press release. Trump is screaming about $65 billion barrels of Venezuelan oil like he just found a warehouse full of gasoline, while the infrastructure needed to extract the shit is decaying, the crude is ultra-heavy sludge that needs specialized processing, and experts estimate $100-$120 billion just to rehabilitate the fields. You don’t refill the SPR with a fucking Truth Social post.

• The SPR isn’t getting magically refilled either. It’s sitting around 289 million barrels, and even Trump’s own production fantasy gets you only 1.5 million barrels a day, with the U.S. supposedly receiving 55% of that. That’s years of drilling, rebuilding, upgrading, transporting and refining before this becomes meaningful supply. Calling this an energy solution is like announcing you bought a farm because you found a fucking seed packet…

• And here’s the part Wall Street should be ripping apart: nobody has clearly shown Congress the full terms, the deal reportedly involves a 35% U.S. stake in a private company, and Washington is making giant claims about taxpayer-free oil while refusing to show the fucking paperwork. Meanwhile, Hormuz is still fucked, oil is still expensive and Americans are still paying for it at the pump. This isn’t fixing today’s energy crisis. It’s Trump desperately trying to manufacture an oil victory headline because the actual war he started isn’t delivering one.

• Wall Street sees another NVIDIA beat and immediately starts throwing confetti. Meanwhile, the balance sheet is screaming “hold the fucking phone.” Receivables have exploded to $63.1 billion and DSO jumped from 45 to 60 days, meaning an increasingly massive pile of NVIDIA’s reported revenue is sitting in the accounts-receivable parking lot instead of the fucking bank.

• And this is where the AI circus gets interesting. NVIDIA is investing money into AI companies and infrastructure providers that turn around and spend enormous amounts of that ecosystem cash buying NVIDIA GPUs. NVIDIA finances the customer, the customer buys NVIDIA’s shit, NVIDIA books the revenue, Wall Street celebrates the revenue, and the stock goes up. So how much underlying AI demand is genuinely self-sustaining versus being fueled by an increasingly circular flow of capital??

• The market is pricing NVIDIA like this shit can grow forever. It can’t. At some point those AI companies have to generate enough actual cash from actual customers to justify the fucking mountain of chips, data centers and debt being accumulated around them. The earnings headline says AI is unstoppable. The balance sheet says somebody better start proving where the fucking money is coming from.

Six Months of “I Won” While Iran Keeps Fucking Existing

• 319 Iran posts. 32,478 words. One Iran post every 14 hours. Trump has spent six months screaming online that Iran is destroyed, surrendering, collapsing, blockaded, finished, defeated and apparently conquered about 47 different times. Meanwhile, Iran is still fighting, negotiating with other countries, keeping leverage over Hormuz and forcing Trump to keep changing the fucking story.

  

• Every “final victory” somehow needs another sequel. The “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER” became ceasefires. The ceasefires became blockades. The blockade became negotiations. The negotiations collapsed. Then came threats of more strikes, canceled strikes, economic warfare and sanctions. At some point you have to stop calling this a victory lap and admit the dude keeps moving the fucking finish line because reality refuses to cooperate with his Truth Social posts.

Alphabet / YouTube (GOOGL) - Google is next up in the fucking barrel after Meta just got hit with that monster settlement over allegedly designing its platforms to hook kids and fuck with their mental health. State attorneys general are already calling the Meta payout the “floor conceptually,” which tells you exactly where this shit is headed, and YouTube is sitting there with a giant fucking target on its back.

Ford Motor Co. (F) - Detroit is staring down another ugly sales setup, with August new-vehicle sales expected to drop as high borrowing costs and bloated dealer lots keep buyers from pulling the trigger. Dealers are getting stuck with shit they can’t move, and when inventory starts piling up, the next step is usually discounts, thinner margins and a whole lot of corporate bullshit about “strategic pricing” while they slash prices to get cars the fuck off the lot.

General Motors (GM) - GM is caught in the same Detroit shitshow, with expensive financing and too much inventory putting pressure on new-vehicle demand. The industry is already warning that dealers may have to start cutting prices and eating margins just to clear the fucking lots, while automakers keep throwing software and tech gimmicks at customers who increasingly just want a vehicle they can actually afford.

Intel (INTC) - Intel is sitting directly in the line of fire as the Trump administration considers tariffs on fully assembled servers, laptops and other tech hardware instead of just fucking around with semiconductor components. That creates another headache for a company already trying to drag its manufacturing operation back from the dead, because adding more tariff bullshit to a complicated domestic production chain is exactly what Intel fucking needs right now.

Meta Platforms (META) - Meta just fucking capitulated on a $17.1 billion nationwide settlement over claims that Facebook and Instagram were deliberately built to be addictive and harmful to kids, and the fallout doesn’t stop with writing a gigantic check. The settlement forces actual changes to how the platforms operate, including nighttime restrictions for teenagers, which means the government just reached inside Zuckerberg’s fucking product machine and told him he can’t run it however the hell he wants anymore.

Netflix (NFLX) - Netflix is using its platform to host an exclusive preview of Grand Theft Auto VI, which is one hell of a fucking departure from the usual Netflix playbook. Netflix is trying to turn itself from a place people watch trash shows like Love Island into a broader entertainment platform that keeps users from wandering off somewhere else.

Nvidia (NVDA) - Nvidia’s biggest problem right now isn’t finding customers, it’s fucking building enough hardware to satisfy them. CFO Colette Kress warned that severe memory shortages could bottleneck shipments of high-end systems, meaning Nvidia can have every hyperscaler and AI company on Earth begging for chips and still get fucked by the physical supply chain if the components aren’t there to actually build the machines.

Omnicom Group (OMC) - An Omnicom director just unloaded a serious chunk of stock right as the advertising giant is sitting around its 52-week high, which is exactly the kind of insider selling that makes you wonder what the fuck they know that everyone else doesn’t…

Salesforce (CRM) - Salesforce is hooking Anthropic’s AI directly into its enterprise software through the new “Claudeforce” setup, because apparently the answer to every fucking software problem now is to bolt another AI model onto it. The real fight here is keeping corporate customers from wandering over to Microsoft’s OpenAI ecosystem, so Salesforce is basically trying to make sure its clients don’t look at the competition and say, “Fuck this, we’re moving.”

Snap (SNAP) - Snap is now directly in the crosshairs of the same state crackdown that just forced Meta into a gigantic settlement, with prosecutors making it clear they’re coming for more social-media companies over alleged harm to young users. Snap doesn’t have Meta’s enormous cash pile to absorb a fucking financial beating, so if the states start swinging with billion-dollar demands, this could get ugly as hell for a much smaller company.

Super Micro Computer (SMCI) - Super Micro is exposed to another round of Trump administration tariff bullshit as Washington considers hitting fully assembled servers and laptops rather than limiting the pain to raw chips. That’s a nasty setup for a company selling the exact hardware AI data centers are desperately trying to buy, because tariffs on completed infrastructure mean higher costs getting shoved straight into an already insanely expensive AI buildout.

Take-Two Interactive (TTWO) - Take-Two is breaking from the usual GTA rollout bullshit by using Netflix to air an extended Grand Theft Auto VI presentation before releasing it through the normal public channels. They have talked about this game for YEARS, now they are finally moving forward, but using NFLX to run a trailer is a pretty desperate look in my opinion.

THE OIL SAFETY NET IS FUCKING GONE

• Trump burned the emergency card by robbing Peter to pay Paul. One major refinery failure could turn an already ugly crude problem into a fucking gasoline and diesel shortage the likes of which haven’t been seen since the Carter administration.

• And we’re already seeing the shit hit the economy. Buffalo airport is out of fuel. Airlines are canceling routes because fuel costs have become uneconomical, and soaring diesel and jet-fuel prices are feeding straight into the cost of moving food, materials and everything else Americans buy. This isn’t some hypothetical future gas-price problem. The fucking fuel squeeze is here in full force now.

Trump’s Ego Just Picked a Trade War With America’s Biggest Trading Partner

• Trump fucked up another massive relationship for his own ego. The U.S. just slapped 50% tariffs on $20 billion of Canadian goods, Canada is matching them dollar-for-dollar, and the trade relationship between two countries that should be economic partners is turning into a fucking street fight. And for what? Trump is still whining about Canada supposedly screwing America while nobody in his administration can give you a straight fucking answer with actual examples of what Canada supposedly did.

• This is the distraction. Tell Americans Canada is ripping us off, threaten tariffs, scream about making Canada the 51st state, and suddenly everyone is arguing about fucking hockey sticks instead of asking why this administration keeps manufacturing chaos with our closest ally.

• And the economic damage is real. Canada is America’s biggest trading partner, this threatens the $2 trillion USMCA trade relationship, Canadian tourism into the U.S. is already collapsing, businesses on both sides are getting hammered, and now the entire future of North American trade is in question. This isn’t some genius negotiating strategy. It’s a fucking ego trip that risks blowing up one of America’s most important economic relationships just so Trump can pretend he’s winning.

Apollo Global Management (APO) - Apollo got popped by hackers who managed to get unauthorized access to some of its cloud platforms, and now the firm is dealing with the fallout. The company says it has not found evidence the stolen shit was dumped online or used for identity theft yet, but the investigation is still going, so that’s not exactly a clean bill of health.

Apple (AAPL) - Apple handed Ireland a gigantic fucking tax check, with roughly 40% of its worldwide tax bill coming from the country, largely because of the $14 billion-plus back-tax fight it finally had to cough up. Ireland spent eight years fighting alongside Apple to protect the sweetheart tax setup that made the country a magnet for American corporations, and then the EU basically came along and said enough of that shit.

Boeing (BA) - Boeing’s engineers and technical workers just told management to go fuck itself, rejecting the company’s four-year contract by wide margins and giving the union the power to call a strike when the current deal expires. These aren’t workers bitching over a couple extra vacation days either, they are basically saying they want an actual career at Boeing instead of getting worked into the fucking ground while management keeps screwing around.

CoVolt Power (KVLT) - CoVolt is trying to cash in on the giant fucking electrical shitshow being created by AI data centers, filing to go public as demand explodes for power infrastructure. The company builds utility-scale solar, battery storage and high-voltage transmission systems, basically the plumbing required to keep these massive data centers from sucking the electrical grid dry. It is a brand-new IPO, so there is no trading history to hide behind yet, just a company trying to ride the AI infrastructure gravy train straight into the public markets.

Eli Lilly (LLY) - Lilly just dropped its oral GLP-1 pill Foundayo into the UK, giving people another way to get the weight-loss and diabetes treatment without sticking themselves with an injection. The drug is now going head-to-head with Novo’s oral Wegovy, and Lilly is clearly trying to get its fucking foot in the door before the oral obesity market becomes another pharmaceutical bloodbath. The cheaper price compared with Mounjaro is no accident either, because Lilly wants this shit accessible enough to grab a massive chunk of the market.

ExxonMobil (XOM) & LyondellBasell Industries (LYB) - Exxon and LyondellBasell are circling Shell’s U.S. chemical assets as Shell tries to unload the shit that isn’t pulling its weight, with the portfolio potentially worth billions. Exxon also had to shut down operations at a Guyana facility after a fire on one of its floating vessels, because apparently even an oil operation making obscene amounts of money can’t go five fucking minutes without something catching fire. Between the asset shopping and the operational mess, Exxon is once again finding itself in the middle of plenty of shit.

GSK (GSK) - GSK got a major regulatory win with Japan approving its hepatitis B drug Hibsago as a functional cure, while the FDA is giving its cancer drug Jemperli a priority review for rectal cancer. That’s the kind of double-barreled drug pipeline news pharma companies fucking dream about, because one product gets a real-world launch while the other gets shoved to the front of the regulatory line. If Jemperli clears the next hurdle, GSK has another potential revenue stream sitting there waiting to be exploited…remember what MRNA just did!

Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) - J&J is swapping out the executive running its litigation operation just weeks after announcing a multibillion-dollar agreement aimed at settling tens of thousands of talc lawsuits. Erik Haas is out at the end of August and Aviva Wein is taking over, meaning the woman stepping into the chair gets to inherit one hell of a legal shitstorm.

NVIDIA (NVDA) - Nvidia is reportedly talking about throwing money into Perplexity at a valuation north of $30 billion while its own AI chip customers are getting hit with fucking higher server prices because memory costs are exploding. So Nvidia is out there financing another AI darling while the people actually buying its hardware are being told the bill is going up more than 15% in plenty of cases. That’s the AI circus in a nutshell: everybody wants a piece of the fucking boom, and somehow Nvidia keeps finding another way to sit in the middle of the cash pile.

OpenAI - OpenAI is cutting GPT-5.6 Sol API prices by more than 20% for three months as Anthropic and Chinese AI models keep biting at its ass. Cutting the price of the flagship shit while keeping consumer subscriptions untouched tells you exactly where the fight is happening. The AI arms race is turning into a price war, and nobody gets to pretend this shit is going to stay insanely profitable forever.

Paramount Skydance (PSKY) & Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) - California’s attorney general just canceled settlement talks over Paramount’s proposed Warner Bros. Discovery acquisition after accusing Paramount of leaking and misrepresenting confidential discussions. That’s a pretty fucking ugly way to negotiate a $100 billion-plus deal, especially when the state is already trying to kill the transaction.

Philip Morris International (PM) - The FDA authorized another batch of Zyn nicotine pouches, saying the products contain lower levels of harmful constituents than other oral and smokeless tobacco products. Zyn is absolutely fucking ripping through the nicotine market as smokers and nicotine users shift away from traditional cigarettes, and Philip Morris is aggressively building the business around that transition. The company is basically betting that people aren’t quitting nicotine altogether, they are just finding less disgusting ways to get their fix.

It was one of three bellwether cases selected from more than 3,300 similar California cases, meaning its outcome could have helped shape the entire litigation. Now it’s gone. • The Navy is reportedly considering changing the name of the future USS Doris Miller to USS Donald J. Trump. • The science is legit, but the stock reaction is fucking insane. Moderna just delivered a huge Phase 3 win with Merck’s Keytruda, proving mRNA can potentially move well beyond COVID. That deserves applause. A 177% stock explosion and tens of billions in instant valuation expansion deserves a reality check.

• You’re buying a press release, not a finished drug. The trial stopped early at a planned interim analysis because the results were positive, but the full dataset still hasn’t gone through peer review or been published in a medical journal. Wall Street just priced billions of dollars of future assumptions into incomplete public information.

• And no, they didn’t fucking cure cancer. The trial showed improved recurrence-free survival for melanoma patients after surgery. That’s potentially enormous medically, but it is not the same thing as eliminating existing metastatic cancer, and it sure as hell doesn’t mean Moderna has suddenly solved lung, pancreatic, breast or every other cancer.

• Wall Street is pricing the fucking dream, not the evidence. This is one successful Phase 3 trial targeting one specific cancer, and melanoma happens to be particularly responsive to immunotherapy. Moderna may have just proven its mRNA platform has a legitimate second act, but anyone buying this move as though Moderna just discovered the universal cancer vaccine is paying tomorrow’s fantasy price for today’s very promising data.

AI EARNINGS MIRAGE: 52% PROFITS AND THE MARKET STILL GOES NOWHERE

• S&P earnings are supposedly up 52%, tech profits 74%, and the market can’t fucking move. Why? Because a chunk of this “growth” is paper gains from Big Tech’s private AI investments. The valuation goes up, accounting says cha-ching, but nobody actually deposited 74% more cash into the fucking bank.

• Then comes the circular bullshit: Big Tech invests in AI startups, those startups use the money to buy Big Tech’s chips and cloud services, and everyone gets to report more revenue. Congratulations, we invented the world’s most expensive money-laundering machine for AI hype. It’s called “circle jerk investing.”

• Meanwhile, Amazon, Microsoft, Google and the rest are torching tens of billions on AI infrastructure while consumers get squeezed and Treasury yields keep climbing. So you’ve got record “earnings,” record CapEx, stretched valuations and a market going nowhere. That’s not strength. Algos pick it up (but don’t verify if it is true) and pump the thin as shit liquidity market higher before you can even trade.

MOU IS OFFICIALLY EXPIRED AND NOTHING WAS ACCOMPLISHED

The MOU is dead. It was dead from the start. Dead again July 7th when Trump went ballistic, and now the 60 days have elapsed and DJT has accomplished nothing. Trump has no cards.
