You stop shrinking yourself to fit in doorways that were never built for you anyway. You say “no” without a three paragraph explanation. You wear the red lipstick because Tuesday deserves it too. This is not decline. This is arrival.

A mature woman living fully isn’t the woman who’s figured everything out - she’s the one who’s stopped pretending she needs to. She’s buried a few dreams and grown new ones in the same soil. She’s loved hard, lost things and kept her sense of humor anyway, because bitterness is heavy and she’s got places to be.

Her beauty isn’t a before-and-after photo. It’s in the set of her shoulders when she walks into the room she used to be afraid of. It’s the laugh lines that prove she’s actually laughed. It’s the way she can sit in silence with herself and not flinch.

Full doesn’t mean easy. It means present. It means saying yes to the parts of life you spent your twenties too anxious to enjoy, and saying a holy, unbothered no to everything that no longer fits.

You didn’t lose your youth. You traded it for something with better boundaries.

Hot Flashes and Random tears. A sense of being irritated by a blouse, a sound, a person and possibly the entire concept of time. One day you are fine, and the next you are standing in the kitchen feeling spiritually evolved and physically betrayed.

And yet, there is something Holy about all the nonsense.

Because when your body starts changing this loudly, it is often also telling a truth that your Old life can no longer carry. The version of You that made everyone comfortable, stayed too small, or ignored her own needs is getting harder to maintain. This is NOT failure. This is a Signal.

I used to think the goal was to stay composed. Now, I think the goal is to stay Honest!

Honest about the fact that some days you are deeply graceful and some days you are one inconvenience away from writing a strongly worded email to the Universe.

Honest about the fact that desire does not disappear just because your hormones are being dramatic.

Honest about the fact that your needs are not shrinking even if your patience sometimes are.

So if your body is being loud, maybe it’s not betraying you. Maybe it’s introducing you to the woman you are still Becoming.

Not the polished one.

Not the quiet one.

The REAL one.

A Small Truth

You do not need to be grateful for every symptom to still honor the wisdom inside the shift.

A Little Grace

Put one hand on your chest and say:

I am allowed to change. I am allowed to feel this. I am allowed to become more Myself.
