I work hard, I care about what I do, and I always try to do the right thing. But stress has a way of drowning out those things we know to be true. Self-doubt starts whispering, and before long, it feels louder than everything else.

And unfortunately, stress does not always stay neatly contained at work. It follows me home. It affects my coworkers, my friends, my kids, and yes, my husband. Even when I don’t mean for it to, the tension comes out in indecisiveness, my tone of voice, and my ability to relax.

A friend of mine who I know online and who knows about my domestic discipline relationship noticed that I was struggling and suggested something that honestly made me stop and think. He said, “So ask him to give you 5 or 10 quick swats. Nothing serious, just a reassurance spanking.”

A Reassurance spanking.

The more I thought about it, the more I understood what he meant. This wasn’t about punishment because I had done something wrong. It was about reassurance. It was about being reminded that someone who knows me well believes in me—even when I am having trouble believing in myself.

So I talked to my hubby about it.

The girls were watching a movie and I texted him that I am super stressed and I am not sure of myself. I explained how overwhelmed I had been feeling and how the uncertainty at work was getting inside my head. I told him about the suggestion, and after listening to me, he agreed.

That evening, after the kids had gone to bed, my husband took me out to the barn. In his hand was the hairbrush that made me whine a little. But I have to remember that I asked for this. He told me to take my dress off and I hung it on a nail by the bench. Then he had me drop my panties which left me in just a bra and tennis shoes.

He told me to bend over the bench and grab the far side. I complied and held on for dear life. His left hand found the small of my back pressing slightly, then the brush landed in rapid fire on my bottom which had me yelping and lifting one foot. Maybe a dozen sharp smacks landed on my bottom and when he was done he lifted his hand and I shot up, hopping from foot to foot rubbing my poor bottom. He pulled me into his arms. I cried. He knew I needed a good cry.

Sometimes reassurance comes in words. Sometimes it comes in a hug. And sometimes, in our relationship, it comes in a way that is unique to us.

Afterward, he grabbed my dress and panties, and carried me back to the house, and we climbed into bed and simply embraced. For the first time in what felt like forever, my mind wasn’t racing. I wasn’t thinking about directions, consequences, or all the things that might go wrong. I was just safe. I was loved. And I could finally breathe. We talked for a bit then I checked my phone for the latest messages. And thanked my online friend.

Then I drifted off to sleep, on my belly of course.

It is amazing how good sleep can be when the stress is gone—or at least when you have been able to set it down for a little while.

I don’t think a reassurance spanking is going to solve the problems at work. The ambiguous directions will still need to be figured out, and I will still have to do my job to the best of my ability. But sometimes the problem isn’t that we don’t know what to do. Sometimes the problem is that we have become so overwhelmed by the fear of failing that we forget we are capable.

That night, my husband reminded me without a lot of words that I wasn’t alone in carrying the weight of my stress. He knows me. He knows how hard I work. And maybe, most importantly, he knows that my self-doubt sometimes gets in my way.

And I also want to say thank you to my friend online who noticed that I was struggling and offered this advice. Sometimes a friend sees something that we can’t see in ourselves when we are caught up in the middle of stress. I appreciate that he recognized what was happening and suggested something that helped me talk to my husband about what I needed. Your advice gave me something to think about, and I am grateful for your friendship and for caring enough to speak up.

Sometimes we all need reassurance.

And sometimes, we just need someone we love—or a good friend who understands us—to remind us to let go long enough to remember that tomorrow is another day and that we are probably doing better than we think we are.

So my advice to anyone in this lifestyle who is dealing with stress is three simple things:

Don’t let the stress eat you up. Stress has a way of getting inside our heads and making everything feel bigger and scarier than it really is. Don’t keep it bottled up until it affects everyone around you. Talk about it and find healthy ways to let it go.

Listen to friends who give you sound advice. Sometimes the people who care about us can see what we need before we can see it ourselves. I am thankful for my friend who noticed I was struggling and suggested something that helped me. Good friends are a blessing, so don’t be afraid to listen when they offer advice from a place of caring.

Let your partner help take some of that stress away. Your partner knows you, loves you, and wants to help you through the difficult times. For some couples, that might mean talking, praying, hugging, or simply spending quiet time together. And for those of us in this lifestyle, sometimes it might even mean a reassuring spanking. There is nothing wrong with admitting that you need comfort and letting the person who loves you help carry some of the weight.

We don’t have to carry everything alone. Sometimes the strongest thing we can do is admit that we are struggling and allow the people who love us to be there for us.

Update:

Today when I got to school I pulled up the procedure, printed it, highlighted everything I needed to do. Everything was better than I expected and the work I had done beforehand paid off.

I remember my husband’s words he said as he carried me back to the house. “Remember baby, you matter, you’re incredibly smart, hardworking and you have a heart of gold. Everything is going to be okay!.” (I started tearing up as I typed this.)

I have often said as a teacher, everybody needs someone who believes in them.

The Pink Side is a reader-supported publication. I overhear stories. Young women have told me stories themselves. So I know for a fact that some college girls still get spanked at home for bad behavior. I have been sitting at tables on campus near a group of 4 girls. One girl described getting spanked by her parents on a home visit, while the other girls listened intently and didnt seem shocked at all. She simply described that she had got spanked for whatever reason (cant remember what it was) and moved on with the story she was telling to the girls.

Now, does this happen all the time? No. Of course not. But I’ve overheard some variation of this conversation between young women in my university town enough times to realize something. Even in today's day and age, corporal punishment of college girls at home happens often enough to the point where its not rare.

But I have often wondered how many girls fit this mold. We know that most college girls do not still get spanked at home. Thats obvious and indisputable. But how many of them are still subject to it? Thats the real question. I am willing to bet that 1 in 10 is not out of the question. Or at the very least, 1 in 15, or 1 in 20. I've heard these conversations and have been part of these conversations too many times to naively believe that this is a rare situation.

I thought about running a poll through some of those survey websites and sending it to a bunch of women on campus. The problem is that girls likely won't answer honestly. Just because they're willing to talk about it with their friends doesn't mean they're willing to be honest about it in an official poll, even with the promise of anonymity.

I say all of that to say this. The Domestic Discipline lifestyle isn’t as taboo as people think. There's a lot more women who are open to the lifestyle when it's presented to them the right way. And if a girl is willing to accept spanking from her parents after the age of 18, she is very likely to accept it from a caring, loving boyfriend when she's in a relationship.

Me personally…I wouldn't spank my daughters at all. I firmly believe spanking is for adults. And I couldn't picture myself spanking my adult daughter. It would just feel too weird for me. But that doesn’t change the whole point of this post. And that’s the fact that there's a lot more adult women in the world who are willing to accept a disciplinary spanking under the right circumstances than we realize. And I firmly believe that, if we can get rid of a lot of the “I spank my woman every time I'm annoyed with her” asshats out of the Domestic Discipline community, more women stop simply lurking on blogs like mine and start to make themselves known and open to exploring the lifestyle.

How many college girls do you think still get spanked on occasion? So, before I really knew anything about the blog, I wondered if that was what the name was trying to say. Was The Pink Side meant to represent the woman’s side of things? A softer, more feminine perspective?

Then I started reading.

And I quickly realized that The Pink Side is anything but feminine—at least not in the way I had initially imagined. There was strength in the words. There was conviction. There was masculinity. There were conversations about leadership, responsibility, discipline, love, and relationships.

Then I heard Caleb’s voice.

Oh my goodness.

Not only were the things he said masculine, but his voice sounded like it belonged to a lumberjack! And I have to admit, I shuddered just a little at the thought of that voice lecturing me before telling me to go over his knee. I think my attitude might disappear pretty quickly!

But the name still stayed with me. The Pink Side.

Then, I was sitting with the little notepad that I almost always carry with me, doodling as I sometimes do. I drew a heart and grabbed a pink highlighter to fill it in. As I looked at it, I suddenly realized something.

The top of the heart kind of looked like a bottom.

<a class="image-link hand!

That was my first aha! moment.

Of course, I couldn’t leave it alone after that. I grabbed a couple of colored pencils and shaded the top of the heart a darker shade of pink.

I sat back and looked at it and thought, Oh my gosh. That’s a spanked bottom!

And suddenly, The Pink Side took on a whole new meaning for me.

The pink side of the bottom.

The part of me that, in my relationship, connects with my heart and my mind. The part that can help me release stress, let go of guilt, and put things back into perspective. The part of our relationship that, when handled with love, communication, and trust, helps me become a better woman, wife, lover, mom, friend, and person.

Now, before anyone tells me what Caleb was really thinking when he came up with the name, let me say this: I honestly have no idea what was going through his mind! Maybe my little heart-shaped-bottom revelation is completely different from the meaning he intended.

But perhaps that’s part of what makes a name special.

It can mean different things to different people.

To one person, The Pink Side might represent the feminine perspective. To another, it might represent the softer side of a relationship. To someone else, it might bring to mind something entirely different. And for me? Well, apparently it makes me think of a pink bottom and a doodle on my notepad!

And honestly, I think that’s okay.

Because my hope as I join this wonderful community is that I can bring a little more pink to The Pink Side—not necessarily by making it more feminine, but by sharing a woman’s perspective. By talking honestly about what these relationships can feel like from our side. The fears, the frustrations, the laughter, the vulnerability, the love, and yes, sometimes the pink side of things too.

I may not always see things the same way as everyone else. I may bring a perspective that is different from Caleb’s or from some of the men who write and comment here. But I think that is exactly what makes a community interesting. We can listen to one another, learn from one another, and perhaps understand each other a little better.

So, that’s what The Pink Side means to me.

A pink lion might have caught my attention.

A lumberjack voice might have made me shudder.

But a little pink heart on a notepad helped me find my own place here.

And I hope, in my own little way, I can bring a woman’s perspective—and just a little bit more pink—to The Pink Side.

Pay attention to Lisa

As you guys know, I welcomed Lisa as a member of the mod team on The Pink Side this week.

Caleb Giese

As you guys know, I welcomed Lisa as a member of the mod team on The Pink Side this week. It is truly an honor to be welcomed into a community that has meant so much to so many people over the years.

As Caleb takes his well-deserved sabbatical for some rest and relaxation, I recognize that those of us helping to keep things going have been entrusted with something important. If you haven’t already, you can read more about his time away in his post, “Where Have I Been,” from June 30th. Everyone needs time to step back, recharge, and take care of themselves, and I hope Caleb enjoys every moment of it.

At the same time, I want everyone to know that I take the responsibility of posting here seriously. I understand that The Pink Side is more than just a blog. It is a community built around a set of values and a philosophy that brings people together.

One of the core values of this community says it beautifully:

“The Pink Side. Men respected, women protected. This is a community for those of us who believe in Original Domestic Discipline (male-led). All are welcome. All women are valuable and can be their best selves under the concept of Domestic Discipline.”

Those words matter. They remind us that respect and care should always be at the heart of what we discuss. Domestic Discipline may look a little different from one relationship to another, but I believe the underlying goal should be to build stronger relationships and help one another become the best versions of ourselves.

I also deeply appreciate Caleb’s vision for this community:

“I seek to create the first ever interactive Domestic Discipline community. All believers in male-led DD are welcome here. Christians, Atheists, Traditionalists and Modernists. If you believe male-led DD would make the world a better place, you’re home here.”

That spirit of welcome is something I hope to uphold. We may come from different backgrounds, have different beliefs, and practice our relationships in different ways, but we can still have meaningful conversations and learn from one another. Nobody should feel that they have to fit into one exact mold to be part of the discussion.

So, for those who don’t know me, let me tell you a little about myself.

I have been in a Domestic Discipline relationship with my husband for the past 22 years. Like any marriage, ours has grown and changed over time. We have learned plenty of lessons—sometimes the easy way and sometimes the hard way! Our relationship is built upon the foundation of the Love and Respect model. My husband is the head of our household, and I respect his role and leadership within our family. In return, I know that his responsibility is not simply about authority, but about love, care, protection, and wanting what is best for our family.

Accountability is part of our relationship, and there are many different ways my husband holds me accountable. Sometimes it is simply a conversation. Sometimes I need a reminder, a little correction, or time to reflect on my attitude or choices. The important thing is that accountability is not something that stands alone—it is part of a larger relationship built on love and trust.

For me, though, the real key to making our relationship work is communication.

We talk. We listen. We don’t always agree, and I certainly don’t always get everything right, but we keep communicating. I have learned that respect does not mean never having an opinion, and communication does not mean that every conversation is easy. It means being willing to listen to each other, to be honest, and to work through problems together.

Outside of my marriage and writing, I am also a teacher, a mother, and someone who understands how busy and wonderfully messy life can be. I believe in family, laughter, faith, learning from our mistakes, and never assuming that we have everything figured out. After 22 years, I am still learning about marriage, about myself, and about what it means to be a better wife and partner.

I hope that as I contribute here at The Pink Side, I can bring some of those experiences into the conversations we have together. I don’t pretend to have all the answers. What I can offer is my own perspective, an open heart, and a genuine desire to listen and learn alongside everyone else.

So once again, thank you, Caleb, for trusting me and inviting me to be part of the crew. I hope you enjoy your time away and get all the rest and relaxation you deserve. The shoes you have built here are big ones to help fill, and I promise to do my best to honor the values and philosophy that have made this community such a special place.

And to everyone here at The Pink Side—thank you for welcoming me. I am looking forward to getting to know you, hearing your stories and perspectives, and being part of this community.

Caleb, I hope I make you proud.

Amazing article from Lisa

Guys I have copied and pasted an article from Lisa over at the lisaspanking blog.

Caleb Giese

Guys I have copied and pasted an article from Lisa over at the lisaspanking blog. But I feel like diving in again. So today I am going to cover the subject of female domination and female-led relationships.

They aren't real. They never have been. Female Domination has always been exclusively a male fantasy that some women play into in order to please their boyfriends or to make money. I myself have gone undercover in female domination dating sites. And there's one hard truth that's universal to all of them. And thats the fact that there are barely any women on them. There's generally about 200 men to every female in these circles. And the small number of women who are there are mostly professional dominatrixes.

On the rare occasion that you do find a woman who's truly interested in dating, she usually has a slew of emotional problems. Or she is currently recovering from a bad relationship and is testing out this female-led relationship thing in order to see if it might bring her happiness. In other words, she doesn't really want a relationship like that.

Now to be fair, men largely outnumber women in traditional Domestic Discipline circles online too. And even outside the DD world, there are far more men on dating sites than women. But those numbers are usually something like 10-15 men for every woman. They are not the 200-1 male-to-female ratio that you usually see in female domination circles.

No woman wants to dominate her man. This is true both inside and outside the Domestic Discipline world. This is why almost every woman on Earth will tell you that her number 1 turn off in a man is neediness/clinginess. She wants to feel like the smaller one in the relationship…the protected one. She wants to feel like she can hide behind you in the face of danger. And it's kinda hard for a woman to feel like that about a man when shes the one spanking him for his sins. That only serves to make her feel like he would try to hide behind her in the face of danger. And there's no bigger “ick” in a woman's eyes than that.

So guys…if you're seeking female domination as a sexual fantasy, I won't stop you. It's a free country. But if you seek female domination in a serious relationship, you're never gonna find it. But I know theres a lot of Conservatives who follow me. And therefore, I have something to say about the Corey Ruiz situation. More specifically, I have something to say to the Conservative morons who cheered and made mean comments when the Madison police came in, tore down the encampment, and essentially put their hands all over the protesters.

First off, you suck. Second, you clearly don't understand why the Constitution was written. I don't care what side of the political isle you're on. Nor do I care where you stand on the Corey Ruiz situation in general. Some support Ruiz. Others support the police and feel like the police did the right thing in his situation. All of that is fine and okay.

What is NOT okay is to cheer agents of the state when they suppress your political opponents. No matter where you stand on this situation, you should be vehemently defending the other side right to speak and express themselves without government suppression. When you cheer the state as they suppress the speech of your fellow citizen, you cheer the Redcoats.

I dont care if they were blocking the street. Literally all protests for the first 100 years of this country's existence blocked some sort of roadway or path. You say that they were interfering with commerce because their presence was hurting businesses. Well since when is that an excuse to suppress Speech?!?! Have you heard of the Boston Tea Party?!?! The Tea Party was quite literally active interference with commerce. My point is true free speech is supposed to interfere with commerce and it is supposed to be inconvenient. This is why our forefathers forbid the state from placing parameters or limitations on speech in the first place!

And remember this. As you cheer the actions of the police aka the government against your fellow citizens, understand that there will be a day when the police do the same to you and to your sons and daughters.

Idk Im done for now. I dont even have a good ending to this one. I never cheer for the police to break up a protest, whether I agree with those particular protesters or not. Because I understand that freedom comes first. And if those terrorists with badges are willing to take orders to suppress someone else's speech, it's only a matter of time before they try to suppress mine.

You cheer the police in order to “own the left” not realizing that siding with the state against your fellow citizen will lead to the state owning us all very soon

where have I been

I explain my long absense

Caleb Giese

I explain my long absense

https://youtu.be/6X7uiTtrzRM?is=aN9EWdjQB6pJyaf8

The safety of a Domestic Discipline leader has been compromised

It has come to my attention that a fan or member of the Domestic Discipline community took it upon himself to simply show up at one of the DD community leaders houses.

Caleb Giese

It has come to my attention that a fan or member of the Domestic Discipline community took it upon himself to simply show up at one of the DD community leaders houses. In this case, it was Radha.

At this point, all I know is that a man showed up at Radha's house. I don't know what transpired and I don't know what the intent was. But even assuming positive intent, this was wrong.

As a community leader, I understand that there's going to be people that look up to us in the Domestic Discipline community.....that see us as celebrities of sorts. And it's especially wrong when you do this to a woman.

Now, I have very, very strong disagreements with some of Radha's teachings within the Domestic Discipline community. My philosophy of how to conduct a DD relationship is totally different than hers. But she deserves her privacy and she deserves her space. As do all the leaders in the Domestic Discipline community.

So as a DD community, I am asking you kindly to please refrain from showing up at our female leaders houses. There's just too much that can go wrong in these kinds of situations, and the ladies dont know you. I am thinking of starting a sort of DD help find. The way it would work is this. Members of the Domestic Discipline community would donate like $5 a month to the fund. Then….when someone in the Domestic Discipline community needs help, we are able to help them. Maybe one month, we help pay a single Mom's rent who belongs to our community. Maybe the next month, we help a man get his car fixed or pay his medical bills or something.

Right now, this is just an idea. I'd really love some feedback on whether you guys think this is a good idea. Please comment

I will say that if the fund gets launched, I do not wanna be the one in charge of the money.
