It’s been a month rich in travel, connection, and relishing the last days of summer sun whilst, dare we say it, getting excited for Autumn and all that it brings. By which, of course, we mean the outfits! Here are 5 things we loved from August.

1. Fashion Week is always a good idea

We kicked off the month by heading to Copenhagen Fashion Week for the first time. We spent a whirlwind 72 hours reconnecting with old friends, meeting new ones and teasing our upcoming AW collection. Between meetings, fittings and events, we managed to squeeze in a bit of time to explore the city. You can see what we got up to and some of our favourite spots here. We also took to the cobblestones, croissants and coffees in hand, to shoot our new September collection. Think coats, cashmere and classic pieces you can layer up, dress up and make completely your own.

2.   A seasonal shift

At RIXO HQ, we're fully immersed in preparing for the second chapter of our AW collection as well as an exciting collaboration (more on this coming soon). The samples are on the rail, shoots are in motion, and we can't wait for you to see it all. Here's a glimpse behind the scenes of Orlagh styling our models at a recent ecom shoot. 3. It’s Leo’s world

We'll try not to put Leo in every month, but we're not making any promises. Co-founder Orlagh's pup is a regular at head office doing his best job of looking cute. And he’s not the only four-legged friend that’s stolen our hearts this month. Here are just a few of the furry visitors who have come to see us in store this month.

4. A New York minute

Copenhagen wasn’t the only stop on our travel list this month. We headed to the Big Apple to co-host a pre-loved event, at our Prince Street store. There was a panel discussion with representatives from eBay, as well as our very own Marketing Manager, Louise, to discuss the evolving resale market and how brands can continue to create meaningful change through celebrating and encouraging more people to shop pre-loved. Cocktails and delicious hors d'oeuvres were served up by Brooklyn-based catering company Poppy’s and a bit of shopping may have taken place, too. It was a night of great conversation and even better company, and we loved meeting so many of our NYC #humansofrixo.

5. A new print story

A new season calls for new prints. For the upcoming collections, we're leaning into deeper, moodier florals in rich, autumnal hues. Most of our prints are hand-painted by our talented print team, with inspiration drawn from archival styles. Here's a glimpse into the creative process and a first look at our new Vintage Bouquet print. Inspired by a swatch from the '90s, it has a romantic feel with a touch of edge. Our print team played with scale and colour to reimagine it into something a little more glamorous for one of our upcoming black-tie styles.

While the scarves are, of course, designed to wrap around the neck, bringing a touch of Old Hollywood glamour, ‘70s beatnik, or whatever energy you’re channelling, their styling potential reaches far beyond that. This is especially true at this time of year, when the days are still long and warm, but the seasonal shift is beginning to make itself felt. You may only just be thinking about layering, but a scarf is a good place to start experimenting with a wardrobe in transition. Here are four different ways to try it out.

As a belt

Your favourite lived-in jeans, a white cotton tee, and a day just beginning. Meeting perfectly at the intersection of unfussy and eclectic, you’ll find a scarf wrapped around your waist. It breaks up the outfit much like a belt would, but adds an unexpected element, while the loose ends bring movement, swishing as you walk. Fun.

Make it a top

Steeped in noughties nostalgia, the scarf-turned-top look is playful, a little sexy in that undone kind of way and embodies the effortless high-low styling so synonymous with that era. Ideal for late summer sun but feels just as right layered under a suede jacket. Playing with contrasts is where it starts to get interesting, too. Silk with denim. Florals with tie-dye. Mix and match with what you already have in your wardrobe.

The classic way

Left to hang loose. Wrapped once, twice around the neck. Maybe you've draped it across your shoulders like a shawl, the perfect layer for when it's not quite cold enough for a jacket. Worn the classic way, a scarf adds a playful, ‘90s-feel finishing touch.

Something for the hair

You’ve slipped into a floaty cotton midi and you’re on your way to drinks. The girls are all here, you’re styling your scarf as a hair accessory and everyone’s obsessed. This one is for the maximalist-inclined (or for those dipping a toe back in), for the ones who know that sometimes more is, in fact, more. Go bold. Play with print. Wear it your way.

Coming back for collection two, I had that at the front of my mind: what is it that makes me feel my best: is it print and colour? Is it maximalism that feels joyful and jubilant? Or is something simpler and softer? Something grounded in self-assuredness that the dress is going to unlock not only looking and feeling good, but my confidence alongside that.

The latter is what we strode forward with for RIXO x BILLIE BHATIA part 2. As I write that, I’m still in disbelief that RIXO have collaborated with me (little old me) for a second time. Before we get into the nuts and bolts of the collection, I want to express just what this means: to be seen, considered and supported by a brand that has changed the way so many women dress.

My origin story with RIXO dates way back, it was a fashion meet cute: a breakfast at Petersham Nurseries in Covent Garden where I was sat next to co-founders Henrietta and Orlagh to chat through their new season collection. At the end of the breakfast, they kindly offered me a piece of the collection. While I would have snapped up every single piece on site, I politely declined because at that time the sizing didn’t extend to my size.

What followed has been a love story for the ages (that’s me and RIXO FYI), dedication from a brand and its founders to cater to a greater range of sizes and bodies, and a safe space for me to share what I wished I could wear.

Last summer we launched the debut RIXO x BILLIE BHATIA collection, and it was everything I could have dreamed of. It was bold and bright and celebratory, and I couldn’t believe I could live in dresses that made me feel beautiful (me and that Aprilia dress have been joined at the hip ever since our shoot last March).

But since last summer, and our collaborative debut, I’ve changed. I’ve grown in confidence, in self-assuredness, in my place in the world, in the value I believe I hold as a person. All of this is to say I wanted to reflect that in the pieces we created in this collection. There were still gaps in my wardrobe (and therefore I knew gaps in other people’s wardrobes, too), and I wanted to create a capsule of relaxed dresses that felt innately RIXO and inherently wearable.

We got to work - by work I mean the genius RIXO design team plucked my thoughts directly from my brain based off my mood board and rambling thoughts and drew my dreams up right in front of me. In a much more decisive way we locked in the designs for the collection almost in its entirety in our first meeting. I was adamant on a few things: brown and blue, butter yellow, room for wafting, adapting some of the shapes into different fabrications to serve as summer staples, and showcasing the RIXO jewellery which I think is particularly brilliant.

When fit day came around and I saw our rail, I was overwhelmed with excitement - I get to spend a summer in these dresses! We chopped and changed a few fits, a few fabrications, and Orlagh and her scissor pulled and pinned until the fit was perfect. And by perfect I mean, I could wear this dress without having to even think about my body (other than it being dressed beautifully) because it was held and considered.

That’s the root of this entire collaboration: consideration. These are dresses (and jewellery) that have been considered from all angles; when you’re going to wear them, how you’re going to wear them, how you’re going to feel wearing them. And for me that was everything. I have moved through the world for so long not being considered, not being cared for or supported because my body is different, and this collection doesn’t so much as celebrate that difference but nullifies it entirely.

Easy is what we wanted out of these pieces, and easy they are. I’ve worn them on the beach on holiday, on dates, to host events in front of 200+ CEOs, to Wimbledon, to watch the football in the pub. The simplicity of them is what makes them easy, and the ease of them is what brings me confidence. And this is what I hope for everyone who enjoys this collection: to step forward and claim the space you’re so deserving off, while looking (excuse my French) absolutely banging.

What’s the song you’re looping right now?

Probably Natural Mystic by Bob Marley. It really gives me a free summer feeling.

And the book you’re packing on holiday?

The Four Agreements. I always have this with me as a nice reminder.

What’s a vintage piece you’d never sell?

A red ‘80s leather jacket, which is just timeless!

Which piece of RIXO jewellery is calling your name?

The gold Isolde coin belt, which you could also wear as a necklace and layer up. I just love a belly chain. I think it adds a lot to an outfit.

The Ibiza table you keep going back to?

It has to be a small little chiringuito in the north, in Cala Mastella. I just love simple, fresh island food in the summer.

Ruby’s dish of the summer:

I’m really enjoying making this salad at the moment. It has a big, juicy dressing with Greek yoghurt, some mustard, some honey and some lemon. Then I add in fresh ingredients like cucumber, and some nice-quality protein like chicken and eggs. Oh, and potato goes in there! It’s just a really moreish salad.

What’s one ingredient you’d never cook without?

It has to be garlic because I like to make all my food very umami!

How would you describe your life in Ibiza in three words?

It would be freedom. In all ways! Creative. I feel like my creative channel is just so open here. I’m always my most creative self. And joyful, playful, actually! It’s such a fun island, and it always reminds me that we need to keep joy in our lives and keep that child-like, playful self. It’s so important.

How has living on the island changed the way you dress?

I’m definitely a lot more bold with my clothing. I feel like I can fully express myself here. I don’t have to hold back – I can wear whatever I want. I’m definitely a lot more colourful. Definitely a little bit more naked! Mainly, I’m just able to express myself a lot more through my fashion.

It’s clear Ruby’s zest for life and bold, unapologetic sense of style are intertwined with the joyful life she’s built in Ibiza, and it’s been a pleasure to step into her little slice of island paradise.

Between shoots, events and working in-store, there was just enough time to explore a little. Here is everywhere the team ate, stayed, drank and shopped.

Where we stayed…

ME Lisbon was home for the week, and it was the perfect landing spot. Sleek and modern without losing any of Lisbon’s distinctive vibrancy and soul. The interiors are filled with art installations and ceramic sculptures by Portuguese artists, and the breakfast situation alone is worth the stay. We’d recommend it just for that.

Where we shopped…

We have to give a special mention to Gandaia, the reason that brought us to Lisbon in the first place. We met co-founder Vera Caldeira in London last winter, and by spring, we were planning a swap. We would come to their store in Santos, and they would come to our King’s Road space a month later. Same rails, different cities and two like-minded communities coming together. A match made in heaven! They have two beautiful stores that are a must-visit, but we, of course, have a soft spot for the Santos space.

Lisbon’s vintage scene is so good. The team shot part of the campaign at Feira da Ladra, Alfama’s famous flea market, and managed to spot a few gems between takes. Co-founder Orlagh found a necklace that we actually ended up using in our campaign shoot.

For more vintage finds, Reuse 2nd Hand & Creative Shop are worth checking out. You’ll find clothes, home décor, and unique one-off trinkets. You could easily spend a few hours in this shop. And we did.

Delicious meals we had…

When you have limited time in a new city, and you end up going to the same restaurant twice…well, that should tell you everything you need to know. Serving up the most incredible Middle Eastern food (you have to order the watermelon salad) and with impeccable service to boot, Yallah Lisboa is a place the team haven’t stopped thinking about since.

Flores da Pampa is exactly what you want when the clock hits midday. A café turned restaurant and bar serving fresh, tasty food and exceptional juices.

The team stumbled upon Allora after a long day of shooting, and it hit the spot. A great choice for delicious, traditional Italian food. One to bookmark.

Where we had a few drinks…

Bar Alimentar is just one of those places that gets everything right. Chic space, excellent cocktails, and a menu that artfully blends Italian and Portuguese flavours. It’s a small-plates situation, so order a few things to share.

Golden hour, a cocktail in hand and Lisbon’s colourful streets stretching out below. This is our idea of a perfect evening in the city. Park Rooftop Bar is the place to go.

Cafés we loved…

Mila was the team’s morning ritual for the week. Conveniently next door to Gandaia’s Santos store, but the iced coffee was so good we would have made the journey wherever it was located. Order the banana bread and thank us later.

On the last day, everyone gathered at DoBeco for a final brunch together. The fluffy omelette and in-house-made pastries were the standouts.

One of the best things about being on holiday (besides everything) is that dinner often becomes an occasion: a moment to get dressed up and have a little fun with your outfits. Paisley is always in style, but there’s something about it that just screams summer. Try it in an easy slip or, for something a little more standout, a barely-there silhouette.

Seeing the Sights

For a full day of exploring, you want something easy and floaty that doesn’t compromise on style. A breezy cotton midi with playful ruffled straps (bonus points for the added sun protection on the shoulders) will carry you through it all. A woven leather bag big enough for the essentials – we’re thinking camera, water bottle, suncream, sunnies, and so on – will complete the look.

Whether you’re picking up souvenirs, trawling the vintage markets, or discovering local brands, a shopping afternoon is usually on the cards for us. A floaty slip-style dress you can easily slip on and off for try-ons is our ultimate go-to.

Make the most out of your suitcase space and build the rest of your looks around these key pieces. Maybe you throw that slip dress over your swimsuit to head to the beach, or wear that broderie blouse with a flowy midi skirt for dinner.

Right now, the most interesting things happening in fashion aren’t happening on a runway. They’re happening in a café in Milan, a corner of Selfridges and a two-floor residency on the Kings Road.

Pop-ups and brand collaborations are everywhere; that much isn’t new. But the ones worth paying attention to in 2026 have shifted. They’re no longer about putting two logos on a product and hoping for a press hit. The best ones are solving a brand problem in public, and making the solution feel like culture.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot, partly because I spend my days building brand for RIXO, and partly because we’ve just launched a collaboration that started with a very specific challenge. More on that in a moment.

The landscape

This spring, Dior took over The Corner Shop at Selfridges to debut Jonathan Anderson’s first collections as creative director. It wasn’t a product display. It was an immersive space with oversized Dior boxes, golden tickets, acrobatic bellboys; the kind of brand theatre that turns a retail concession into a destination.

In Milan last week, the real story of Design Week wasn’t furniture. Arket installed a working antique carousel in a public garden, its horses replaced with oversized fruit and vegetables, to launch a collection with artist Laila Gohar. Marni took over Café Cucchi; textiles, pastry packaging, staff uniforms, running until July. Miu Miu hosted a literary club. Fashion houses that could do anything chose to build spaces for ideas, for slowness, for things you couldn’t scroll past.

On the Kings Road, Stripe & Stare has opened its first bricks-and-mortar space, a two-floor residency running until June that acts as both shop and brand experience. We know the brand well; our two sell-out collaborations gave RIXO its first ever lingerie range, and watching them translate that same energy into a physical space has been brilliant.
In the US, Rhode built an entire snow club in Big Sky, Montana. L’Agence partnered with Google on an AI-powered fitting room at NYFW. The pop-up market is projected at $95 billion, and the energy is tangible on both sides of the Atlantic.

And in denim, the collaboration energy is particularly sharp. Agolde and Maria McManus just released a collection with custom hardware, custom labels, custom hang tags. Every detail considered. M&S and 16Arlington delivered one of the year’s most talked-about denim moments. The message: denim is not a commodity category anymore. It’s an identity one.

The brand problem hiding in your wardrobe

Here’s the thing most people don’t talk about when they write about collaborations: the best ones aren’t born from a creative whim. They’re born from a strategic gap.

Every brand has a perception issue somewhere. Maybe you’re known for one category and struggling in another. Maybe customers love your prints but haven’t considered your separates. The most effective collaborations don’t paper over these gaps, they spotlight them. They take the thing you want to be known for and hand it to someone whose identity makes that thing credible. You borrow context.

At RIXO, we’re known for dresses. Printed silk, bias-cut, hand-painted florals, vintage-inspired shapes. That’s the entry point, and it’s a beautiful one. But our range is broader than that, and one of the categories we’ve been building is tops. Blouses, shirts, knitted pieces, the kind of things you’d wear with jeans on a Saturday or under a vintage jacket on a Tuesday.

The challenge: when a customer thinks RIXO, she thinks occasion. She thinks that dress she wore to the wedding. She doesn’t always think: that top I wore with my favourite jeans to the pub.

So we asked ourselves: how do you shift that perception without a campaign that just says “we do tops too”? You do it through a collaboration that creates the context naturally.

Enter Pin Denim

Pin Denim was founded by Chloë Culpin in 2020, from a studio on Lots Road in Chelsea, just around the corner from our Kings Road showroom. She’s built a cult following around vintage denim: sourcing, styling, helping women find jeans that actually fit and feel like theirs. Not trend denim. Real denim. The kind with a story in the wash.

When we started talking to Chloë, the idea wasn’t a capsule collection. It was: what if we built a space where the outfit happens? Where a woman walks in, finds her jeans with Chloë’s guidance, and then finds the RIXO top that makes the whole thing click?

The residency sits above our Kings Road showroom. Chloë brings the denim. We bring the tops. Together, the proposition is the oldest outfit formula in a woman’s wardrobe, jeans and a nice top, reframed through two brands that care deeply about fit, fabric, and the confidence that comes when you’re wearing something that feels right.

No irony. Just the outfit every woman reaches for when she wants to feel put-together without trying too hard.

The feeling of discovering something beautiful, hidden among a heaving rail or buried at the bottom of a wicker basket, is unmatched. The thrill of the find. Almost like uncovering treasure. This is where RIXO began, with co-founders bonding over a shared love of vintage. If you’re here, it’s likely one of your favourite pastimes, too. While shopping vintage hasn’t really been out of vogue, it does feel like it’s having a moment. With the revival of ‘90s minimalism (anyone else searching for a CBK-worthy pencil skirt?), the desire to shop from the archive feels more prevalent than ever.

Finding places to shop vintage? Pretty simple. Finding something incredible? That’s another question entirely. That’s where Ness Isabella comes in. Vintage curator and founder of Nünü Vintage, a certified NYC cool girl with impeccable taste, and a master at mixing vintage with contemporary pieces. Lucky for us, she was happy to share her insights and top tips for shopping vintage like a pro.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how Nünü Vintage began?

I’m originally from Istanbul, Turkey, and moved to the States during middle school. I grew up in Newport Beach, CA, and have been living in NYC for the past 12 years, so I think I can officially call myself a New Yorker now! I launched Nünü Vintage on my birthday seven years ago as a passion project. I was constantly hunting for vintage pieces I fell in love with, and every time I wore them, people would ask where I found them. I soon began sharing these pieces on Instagram, and it quickly grew into something more. At the time, I was working a full-time corporate job in marketing and later as a private client stylist, so I managed Nünü Vintage on the side. About two years ago, I finally took the leap and focused on Nünü Vintage full-time. It’s been the best decision I’ve ever made!

What first sparked your love for vintage?

Nünü is what we called my grandmother, and I named my company in her honour. Growing up, I was always surrounded by vintage pieces from her, as well as from my mother and aunt. I remember being gifted an Alaïa knit skirt from my aunt when I was 13 years old (stretchy knit, still fits me!) and I was so obsessed with it. I couldn’t wait to have an occasion to wear it one day. There was something about the history and the uniqueness of those pieces that drew me in. Looking back, that early exposure is what really shaped my appreciation for vintage and sparked my love for collecting special pieces.

Are there particular fabrics, cuts or eras that you’re drawn to?

I’m a ‘90s baby, so I naturally gravitate toward that era, as well as the early 2000s. I’m really drawn to feminine silhouettes, particularly those sculpted hourglass shapes you see from Mugler and Alaïa. I love the contrast of styling those pieces in a more relaxed way, like pairing a structured Mugler jacket with jeans and heeled boots for dinner. I’m equally drawn to the expressive, over-the-top designs of Dior by Galliano and the clean, timeless minimalism of Tom Ford’s Gucci.

When you’re sourcing, what are the key things you look for?

I typically only source pieces that I can genuinely see myself wearing and loving. If I wouldn’t wear it, I won’t buy it. That’s how I keep everything highly curated. I’m also very particular about condition. Each piece must feel fresh and in excellent vintage condition while still maintaining that sense of luxury. I also source with seasonality and upcoming trends in mind, which is where my background in styling really comes in handy!

Do you have any tips for spotting something special in a crowded vintage shop or market?

I think there are two types of people: those who thrive in chaotic sourcing environments and love the thrill of finding a hidden gem, and those who can feel a bit overwhelmed by it. If you’re the first type, my biggest tip is to slow down and be intentional. You have to be able to look beyond how something appears on the hanger. My advice is to take your time, scan for quality and detail, and always go back to anything that catches your eye.

What are the biggest mistakes people make when buying vintage?

One of the biggest mistakes is relying on vintage sizing as sizes vary so much. For example, I’ll often have pieces marked as a size 44 that fit like an XS. I always recommend trying pieces on whenever possible, and if you’re shopping online, ask for detailed measurements. I can’t tell you how many clients at my pop-ups have passed on something because they assumed it wouldn’t fit, only to try it on after I pulled it and realise it fits perfectly. Another important factor is the condition. Always check the condition of a piece, especially when buying online. And lastly, never buy something just because of the label. You have to genuinely love it and see yourself wearing it, otherwise it just ends up sitting in your closet. It should feel like something you’re excited to reach for.

Where should someone start if they’re new to vintage?

Jewellery! You can completely transform a look by adding the right accessories. For example, if you’re wearing a black sweater and jeans, adding a vintage snakeskin belt and a vintage gold Omega necklace instantly elevates the outfit. Swap your loafers for a pair of heeled boots, and you’re ready for the night. I also always recommend buying statement outerwear as you can throw it over any simple look and instantly stand out.

How do you approach mixing vintage with newer pieces in your wardrobe?

Honestly, day-to-day, it takes me barely any time to get ready. I have my core modern staples – my favourite jeans, black trousers, loafers, boots, white tees and bodysuits – and I always build from there. Then I’ll layer in vintage, whether it’s a jacket or blazer, a bag, jewellery, or a belt. When I’m wearing a dress, I approach it the same way. If the dress is vintage, I usually keep everything else more minimal. And if it’s a newer dress, I’ll add vintage accessories to add a personal touch. That balance is what makes vintage feel wearable.

What are the vintage pieces you reach for most in your own wardrobe?

I always reach for my vintage bags or my vintage jackets. I live in NY, so my furs and jackets come in really handy throughout the year! I was recently in Paris and treated myself to my very first Hermès bag, a 1994 Kelly Sport, and I’m so obsessed with it. It’s a style that was discontinued in 2001, and I rarely see anyone wearing one. It’s been the perfect piece for elevating my casual, everyday looks.

What’s the best piece you’ve ever found?

The piece I launched Nünü Vintage with was a ’90s Jean Paul Gaultier cage blazer, and it holds so much sentimental value to me that I could never part with it, even though it’s way too tight on me. I’m saving it for my future daughter! Another piece I’m obsessed with is a fox fur-trimmed needlepoint jacket from the Dior by Galliano era. I sourced one many years ago and ended up parting ways with it, which I deeply regretted. Earlier this year, I came across another one, and I knew I would never make that same mistake again!

Lastly, where are your favourite places to source vintage pieces?

Paris is my favourite city to source vintage. I’ll easily walk 30,000 steps a day exploring the entire city, and I love spending time at the Saint-Ouen Flea Market. I also love going to vintage fairs. I recently went to Salon du Vintage in Paris, which was incredible. I’ll plan my London trips around the Frock Me! Vintage Fairs, and New York has amazing ones as well, like the Manhattan Vintage Show and A Current Affair. Milan and Rome are also always incredible for sourcing. I work with a lot of collectors from around the world, so I receive a lot of pieces from all over, but there is no joy like finding the pieces in person. I am dreaming of going to Japan, hopefully soon!

We’ve always loved this time of year. The Christmas countdown can be such a busy period, but there’s nothing like the quiet joy of discovering something just right for someone you love and the moment when you see their face soften upon unwrapping it. Orlagh and I often say that building RIXO has been one long love letter to all the women in our lives who inspire us, so when gifting season arrives it feels like a natural extension of what we do.

Last month I had the most wonderful long weekend away in Copenhagen and it might just be one of my favourite city breaks to date. The locals here enjoy a slower pace of living which I love (not to mention incredible food and wine!). The Danish capital has a cosy-but-cool energy, a quiet rhythm that is also full of character and colourful neighbourhoods to roam around. Despite its famous cycling culture, it’s also a very walkable city — the best mode of transport I’ve found to discover hidden gems, from vintage shops to secret bars. People appreciate beauty over trends here. So if you’re looking for a little inspiration to bookmark for your next trip, from flea market treasure hunting to canalside dining, here’s my top spots to eat, second hand shop and see.

FRIDAY

10am-2pm

We started the day walking, with no real fixed plan. Then it was on to lunch at Delphine, a Mediterranean gem in the heart of Copenhagen’s Vesterbro district, which I’d highly recommend; the dreamy interiors were very RIXO vibes with bold, hand painted walls and ceilings. In keeping with the design theme, I quickly popped into the iconic HAY store where I picked up some basics in beautiful colours — I bought a giant brown tote bag to carry all the vintage I bought home and it’s been worn to death ever since!

3.30-7pm

In the later afternoon, we headed to the beautiful Christianshavn neighbourhood. All pastel buildings, cobbled streets, and the kind of architecture that makes you slow down, look up and appreciate the history surrounding you.

I always feel like the best discoveries are unplanned…which occurred twice for us on our first day. First, we ended up stumbling across a tiny candle-lit wine bar called Melo. Think gorgeous wines and snacks, a romantic setting and the perfect cosy Hygge moment you always hope to find. Dinner was also spontaneous, we ended up sampling small plates at two restaurants along the canal. One Mexican, Roberta, and one Asian fusion, Hanzo (the Panang curry and pineapple salad was incredible). Both were brilliant — I love eating things I’d never have the skill to cook at home!

10pm

The walk back through the city was so beautiful. Even late at night Copenhagen is one of those places that feels very safe and alive. We actually followed the sound of music and ended up in a community garden reggae rave with all the locals at 11pm, a truly gorgeous and diverse community. It was so joyful, and such a good reminder that style, music, and connection overlap in the very best ways.

SATURDAY

8.30am - 11am

We went for a run along the canals in the morning which quickly turned into a vintage treasure hunt. It felt as though wherever we turned there was a flea market trying to get our attention — a street style version of Vinted in real life. One lady with impeccable taste was selling her wardrobe from her years travelling as a diplomat through Europe in the ’70s and ’80s. I bought a hand painted silk chiffon floral dress and tried to make a pair of vintage Céline shoes fit — they didn’t, sadly, so someone else’s treasure to find.

There was also a DJ playing at the flea market too who had the best energy — I even took his card in case we ever do something RIXO in Copenhagen!

11.30am - 2pm

After that, we wandered over to Jægersborggade, a vibrant street in Nørrebro district and home to tons of beautiful independent brands — everything from cafes and vintage shops to ceramic studios and jewellery designers. We had brunch there at The Sixteen Twelve (their eggs Benedict with miso-apple cider hollandaise was a big hit). Then we stopped off for pastries at Meyers Bageri, followed by ice-cream (because everyone in Copenhagen seems to eat ice cream, no matter the time of day or season).

We finished the day with a glass of natural wine at neighbourhood favourite Pompette — which completely lived up to the hype!

SUNDAY

10am

Our last day was slower. We found more little street markets and then wandered into Frederiksberg, though most shops were closed here on Sundays. For lunch we ended up having pizza at a Bæst, a great spot which was recommended to us by a local, and then finished the weekend with the best pick & mix at a store nearby!

I wore our new RIXO Lucila knitted midi dress all day, with one of our cashmere bandana scarves and a faux fur jacquard coat. Along with my RIXO x Dragon Diffusion bag which is so easy to wear everywhere, with any outfit.

Last weekend we had the most magical time in one of our favourite cities to explore…Paris! Sampling all the pastries we possibly could and unveiling our spring / summer 2026 collection, We Are One. A whirlwind 48 hours to remember: meeting buyers, press and connecting with more of our incredible #humansofrixo community IRL (with tarot card readings on the side). Whilst we were there on a work trip, we promise, we made sure we carved out some quality downtime to stroll along the Seine river to take in the sunshine and sights, mooch around beautiful Parisian markets, seek out the best cocktail spots, and people watch at the fashion set’s favourite restaurants.

Café Charlot

Our fashion week favourite hangout which, handily, is right under our Paris showroom and the best spot to people watch. We recommend ordering the sea bass & veg, with obligatory frites on the side!

Bambou

An amazing Asian-inspired restaurant with a fab cocktail bar next door (Bar du Bambou) which was full of gorgeous Parisians, playing house & disco music, with incredible cocktails.

Tarantula

A Mexican cantina tucked away in the 11th arrondissement. We were told it was one of the trendiest spots in Paris right now and is recognisable by their signature gothic wine glasses. Although the menu is rooted in Mexican flavours, there’s a distinct French influence running through the dishes, the oeuf mayonnaise is the perfect bite to start. To follow, we loved the Demi Coquelet Rôti and Chicharrón, washed down with a delicious Pét-Nat sparkling red.

Les Enfants du Marche

An amazing market in the heart of Le Marais, the falafel wrap special is our favourite.

Big Love

A vegetarian pasta favourite. We had a team dinner here with the wholesale team one evening — their cacio e pepe pasta is an absolute must.

Fringe

Our favourite coffee shop in the Marais, which also makes an amazing granola bowl.

Wild & The Moon

A great spot if you’re seeking delicious vegan food and healthy juices.

Mamiche

The best pastries in Paris! We also loved The French Bastards and Dreamin Man.

If we could sum up how we’re feeling post London Fashion Week in one word, it would be: Joyful (and tired) but 99% full to the brim of joy. Our presentation marked our return to the schedule after two years, as well as a decade of RIXO! It was a true celebration of everything that makes us, us and of the past incredible 10 years. Joyful clothes, magnetic people and above all, it was a celebration of uniqueness and of a shared humanity. We presented our SS26 collection, We Are One, which was the perfect encapsulation of the evening. Think bold, bright, maximalist details but elevated with new, intricate prints and an expansion into separates, accessories and outerwear (the tailoring!).

To celebrate 10 years of RIXO, we’re taking you behind the scenes with 10 things we loved from this incredible night

1. #humansofrixo, A Walking Archive:

Friends old and new showed up in their favourite RIXO pieces from over the past decade. We loved seeing icon Daisy Lowe in our Izzy and the beautiful Kimberley Walsh in our most-loved Meg dress!

2. Messages of Hope:

Inspiration for this collection came from connection, community and the belief in a shared humanity. In a time when the world feels so divided (on fire might be a more apt term?), this collection needed to be more than a celebration of style – it’s a message of intent. Messages were displayed throughout the presentation on placards that were inspired by protest signs. As part of We Are One, we’ve partnered with War Child to create two limited edition t-shirt designs, where all the profits will go to support the incredible – and vital – work they do.

3. Express Yourself:

Curtesy of the incredible team at NARS we went full 60s-mod with a vibrant twist for make-up. Think bold pastel eye shadow colours in dreamy powder pinks and baby blues, and whimsical long lashes for a dramatic doe eye look – all with glassy, glowy skin provided by the very best at Clarins. For hair, the iconic Ghd team created enviable bohemian free-spirited locks for our beautiful models.

4. A Step in the Right Direction:

Our shoes are our unsung heroes, always timeless and designed with effortless wearability in mind – and our SS26 shoe collection is one of our favourites yet. With darling little white boho-inspired sandals and perfect wedged mules that you can dance in all night, they’re making us think of spring days and summer trips away already.

5. Pretty in (Hot) Pink:

While the whole collection was a delicious display of bright colours, we’re feeling particularly smitten with our new Cliona jacket. In a cosmic-cool magenta and with the most intricate embroidery, it’s all in the details for this piece. We can’t wait to see how #humansofrixo style this one.

6. Good Eats:

We have to give an honourable mention to Atis, who (literally) kept us going throughout the day with their yummy, nutritious food. Let us tell you, they put on a spread! Our personal fave? The maple ginger tofu. It was phenomenal.

7. A Trip Down Memory Lane:

We brought a little slice of home and RIXO history to the presentation with our RIXO Living Room. We recreated the university living room where RIXO started and displayed some of our archive pieces from over the past 10 years. To say it had us in our feels would be an understatement!

8. Radical Joy:

This presentation was not only a celebration of the new collection, but of our incredible community around us. Vibrant, joyful and fearlessly unique – the #humansofrixo community has always been made up of individuals who own their style and make our pieces completely their own. Truly, our forever inspiration!

9. Perfect Paisleys:

Staying true to our vintage-inspired roots, we created the paisley prints of our dreams. Hand-painted by our in-house team, they capture an eclectic bohemian mood we’re drawn to time and time again.

10. Rhythms of the Night:

Saturn Sisters brought the energy with their brilliant set. Plus, the incredible Yasmin Haas graced us with her beautiful voice. The vibes? Soulful pop and disco sounds.

In August, I had the most blissful week exploring the Riviera, with my two little boys, Wolfe and Killian (one and three), in tow. It was a beautiful whirlwind of early mornings, flea market wanders, and plenty of coffee and a pain au chocolat along the way. I loved navigating the ‘brocantes’ (the French word for antique market) with them - tiny hands pointing at shiny trinkets, and me with one eye on a vintage dress and the other on whoever was trying to climb into or tug at the stallholders' table cloths.

I often get Instagram DM’s and messages from people asking me where I find hidden vintage gems whenever I’m travelling, so I wanted to share with you the best of the best (and also to save you the hassle of trawling through Google!). From the most charming market towns to mooch around to beautiful flea markets to bookmark to find your next second-hand treasure, here’s my vintage lover’s guide to 72 hours in Provence. Plus, a little insider tip I picked up on my first day…

MY FAVOURITE FLEA MARKETS IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE

🇫🇷 Antibes Flea Market — Place Nationale

Thursday & Saturday, 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

One of my absolute favourites, set in a picture-perfect square with dappled light and scented with the smell of fresh coffee. I found some beautiful amber and chocolate tortoise murano glass tumblers and a special silver ice cooler that I purchased for a wedding gift for a close school friend who was getting married in Mougin later that day. The daily food market here was also a must to stock up on fresh French produce for our Villa. For those visiting with kids, there’s a fun miniature train that goes round Antibes that you can jump on to keep them entertained!

🥐 Marché Brocante — Allées de la Liberté, Cannes

Saturday & Sunday

This one was right by the sea and where I got most of my great bargains! I got a stunning linen red Louis Féraud jacket and a silk Nina Ricci tie for my husband. The jewellery here was unreal, the best I’ve ever seen and likewise was the vintage selection of clothes. The boys loved watching the world go by as I rummaged - thankfully the market is right next to cafés where we could pause for the best croissants I’ve ever eaten. So good, I went back to Cannes again on the Sunday to the same area, but just two streets up was an indoor market. Some of the vendors were the same but there were also lots of new antique dealers who came, I bought coconut patchwork ice bucket, an art print I rolled up to take home with me on the plane, a silk skirt and a rare 1970s Leonard Paris cotton dress.

🧺 Valbonne Market

Friday, 10 a.m. – 1ish

Valbonne in and of itself is lovely, but on Fridays it’s market day! Here, I found a great mix of Provençal fabrics, handwoven baskets and local food. I picked up a straw bag for my mum and the prettiest tablecloth. It’s a great one to do early with a coffee in hand.

✨My Top Tip? Speak to the locals!

On my first day, I asked one of the stallholders where else they sell, and it turned out to be the best tip of the trip. They gave me a list of smaller local fairs and brocantes that don’t pop up on Google that I’ve saved for next time.

This September is a huge milestone for us…a whole decade of RIXO! We can’t help but feel a little nostalgic, revelling in all the big and small wins, late nights, the crazier moments building an independent brand with zero outside investment, six store openings and, most importantly, all the supportive people we’ve had the privilege of meeting along the way. Who’ve shared the love for our designs, made it their own and made us who we are today.

A brief trip down memory lane. In 2015 RIXO bloomed from an idea dreamt up between two best friends with a shared passion for true vintage style — our co-founders Henrietta Rix and Orlagh McCloskey — in their university living room in London. Just two years later, after shooting our first look book (a whole, slightly stress-inducing, story in and of itself involving a van and last minute casting for models!) we had quickly outgrown the living room and moved into our first London office in Fulham, launched on Net-A-Porter and opened our very first pop-up store in Covent Garden (old friends will remember Vintage Never Dies well).

The years that followed have been a total whirlwind. Featuring dream collaborations, dream trips, dream teams, design awards, staging London Fashion Week shows, expanding into bridal and accessories, launching Casa RIXO, opening permanent stores in London, Ireland and on our favourite street in New York City’s Nolita neighbourhood (hey, Prince Street!), and of course you — our beloved #humansofrixo community.

It has always been our philosophy to build a brand that has connection woven into every seam, inspired by vintage styles of the past and reimagined for the way women live today. As we enter a bold new era, and a new decade, we are so thrilled to bring you our Substack newsletter, The Find, that we see as a natural evolution of this unchanged ethos.
