His poll numbers are precipitously tanking, with once-loyal red state voters abandoning him in droves.

With the news reaching Warp Speed these days in the number of scandalous stories flying out of Washington on a continuous cycle, it’s extremely difficult to get a handle on any of them since they appear to be in the public eye for a scant few days only to be replaced by the next scandal, so it’s even more problematic for me to focus on one in great depth since it disappears in the ether before long.

I did want to write about the Natalie Harp saga, but who can say that the news media is continually “harping” on the story. I don’t see anything on it at this late date. As you must be well aware by now, Harp is the creepy 35-year-old aide to the liar in chief who has raised eyebrows recently for her extreme fawning behavior toward the 80-year-old sexual predator. She has been seen everywhere with him, thus invoking the ire of Melanoma, Chump’s wife. She was recently trotted out during that ridiculous Freedom 250 Grand Prix held in Washington last weekend. The First Lady had not been seen in quite a while, but she did put in a moment’s appearance during that event. Several notes she wrote to him were unearthed by news outlets, and the content could be deemed quite weird without a doubt.

One thing Chump did today should really outrage ALL Americans and that was renaming Lake Ontario as “Lake America” for no sane reason other than acknowledging the horrible trade war this idiot started with our once peaceful trading partner, Canada. Thus this action can only be viewed as the spiteful behavior of a four-year-old. The so-called “president” decided to initiate a trade war against our northern neighbor by slapping on punitive tariffs of as much as 50 percent on many goods which are tremendously unpopular with voters here in the United States. So this is what this incredibly incompetent regime is doing rather than ending the war in Iran, bringing prices down, confronting the broken health care system, and other economic issues that are paramount in people’s minds. Voters have to be noticing how this insufferable lout has been profiting off the backs of Americans.

Thus Iowa voters were confronted with the record of the Dump administration so far and many of them, once loyal Trumpers, spoke out against the Orange Fascist - probably for the first time in about 10 years. These statistics come from a Thursday update from MeidasTouch Network entitled “Trump Distracts as Midterm Doom Looms.”

A young Trump-supporting Iowa voter was asked by CNN about his status, and he said he is struggling financially and feels the American dream slipping by. When asked what he would say to Dump: “I would just look him in the face and just say, ‘fuck you,’ that’s about it!”

Another Iowa voter who voted for the felon three times said he is “very disappointed” and that he is “over the Trump thing.” Finally! What is his message to the juvenile in the White House? “Stop the bullshit.”

Now that many voters can be counted on no more in these midterms, the most unpopular president since Coolidge is now preparing to blame Congress for a poor showing in November. He will blame his own repugnicans for doing poorly, but will never reserve fault for himself. He’s never at fault, as we all know!

I will end this update on the current sorry state of America with recognition of the passing of 80-year-old country western legend Dolly Parton two days ago. Not only was she a consummate artist, who had a decades-long career, she was known for her true humanity and philanthropic efforts. Also, she was a lifelong champion of LGBTQ+ rights - starting in the 80s - when it wasn’t so popular to be at the time. She was a true American icon, beloved by all people, from the left to the right, including Black, white, gay, straight, and everything in between. “Inspired by her own father’s inability to read, Parton started her Imagination Library in 1995 for the children within her home county. Today, her program spans five counties and gifts millions of free books each month to children around the world.” These quotes were derived from her own Imagination Library website. No wonder people all around the world are mourning her death right now. There was only one Dolly and no one can take her place! Rest in peace, Dolly!

Now if another certain 80-year-old could learn from her lifelong lesson of philanthropy and benevolence, and good-naturedness, the world would be a better place. But I seriously doubt he ever could!

That’s it for now.

Ron's Complaints

A New Scandal Engulfs this Rotten President

Ronald Gersh

Since my last posting here on August 7, new scandals have emerged to embroil this most incompetent and ugly presidency, and all I can say is “Take your pick!” The latest concerns abysmal conditions on the USS Abraham Lincoln in which family members were apprised of horrendous conditions on the aircraft carrier by their loved ones on the ship. Such shoddy conditions included moldy showers, food shortages, and sailors running out of basic necessities. Reports were sent out by those on the ship and family members broadcast their loved ones’ true concerns to the media, and this served to enshroud this kakistocratic regime with more bad publicity. But this idiot in the White House should be inured to this bad press by now because that is all that is being written these days. Nothing good about what’s happening in the White House other than more and more staff members are abandoning ship - like odious press secretary Karoline Leavitt who will not be missed one iota.

Of course, when a reporter asked the clueless president about conditions on the USS Lincoln, the liar in chief dismissed those concerns, actually despicably noting that the deployment, which was going on for nine months already and had set a modern-day record for the most continuous days at sea, that it had not gone on “nearly long enough.” Again, this subhuman just decided to throw reality overboard and not go with the facts of the situation. And it also showed absolutely no shred of empathy for the sailors’ lot on the ship at all! “Disgusting” is all I can say when hearing the Orange Fascist’s comments here! Instead of recognizing that there is indeed a problem here, the idiot in chief preferred to say nothing germane to the situation.

Dump was probably afraid of how this whole situation reflects on his poor administration and wanted to steer clear of anything approximating a serious evaluation of the situation. So he resorted to what he does best: to give his own version of the truth which doesn’t square with the actuality of a situation. Just like he still thinks he won the 2020 presidential race - 6 years later!

Well, we all know how this poor approximation of a human has denigrated service members all throughout his first regime, calling them “suckers” and “losers” for answering the call to duty, while he had his father get a doctor to excuse him from serving actively in the military because of “bone spurs.” Now he’s Bone Spurs Chump! The cowardly president has also complained bitterly about American military leaders, reportedly disparaged wounded veterans, feuded with Gold Star families, and famously declared in reference to American prisoners of war that he likes people who weren’t captured - just like his feud with the late senator John McCain who was captured during the Vietnam War.

There have been reports that multiple sailors have tried to jump off the USS Lincoln because of their deteriorating mental situation arising from the physical shortages observed on the ship. Don’t expect the testosterone-infused Secretary of “War” to admit these allegations. Pete Hegseth, the drunkard, has taken the lead of his Orange Fascist here by denying these claims, even though there are most assuredly letters citing these conditions held in families’ hands that could contradict anything that this inveterate liar can claim.

Thus with this worsening situation, this president just made a bad situation even worse with his nonsensical comments about it.

Don’t forget that Dump’s illegal war has resulted in 18 deaths and left more than 600 physically injured. All throughout, the regime has tried to downplay these sobering statistics - but to no avail! The truth still came out, because of the intrepid reporting of independents like Aaron Parnas and the MeidasTouch Network, and even the reporting on MS Now which has not stinted on reporting the truth of what’s happening with our exhausted service members on the USS Lincoln.

This terrible situation with those 5,000 service members on the airline carrier reflects a more significant crisis - one that can result in the irreparable weakening of our defense forces when the war intensifies in Iran or in other trouble spots. Instead of being honest with the American people as to what is happening on this vessel and most probably on others, this administration continues to deny and gaslight the public - and it fucking won’t work anymore. The families of those affected on the USS Abraham Lincoln have demanded answers and, boy, the Pentagon should listen to them immediately before they talk randomly to the press!

Instead of moving quickly onto a new crisis, the media should dig deep into this one and report on how the situation is being rectified. At least, there is reporting that this negative publicity has resulted in this regime committing to sending a replacement carrier but it had to take numerous disparaging articles to get these jerks to finally do something about it. This is not acceptable! It may take weeks before that replacement is actually carried out, though, so these burned-out sailors will still have to endure those conditions for a long while before some relief arrives. Very sad!

I will never understand why this so-called president’s views on the military alone didn’t sack him! And now we have a story in which his lack of empathy is paramount once more! Truly despicable!

How many days until the midterm?

Ron's Complaints

Congress Always Loses its Courage Before the Orange Fascist

Ronald Gersh

The last holdout in the Todd Blanche confirmation for U.S. attorney general folded like a paper airplane today and that was Senator Bill Cassidy, a repugnican from Louisiana, who said sheepishly when he announced his support for the odious Blanche, “I’ll be criticized for this vote. What’s new?” as if this were not such a monumental decision to have the Orange Fascist’s former personal lawyer serving as the country’s attorney general, the highest law enforcement officer in the land.

Republicans need support from 50 of their 53 senators to confirm the Trump sycophant. However, Senators Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine - who is currently facing a tough reelection fight in her home state - have come out today to oppose the president’s awful choice. Now with Senator Mitch McConnell out indefinitely, a third GOP opponent - possibly Cassidy - would have blocked the nomination. But not anymore!

At least, Murkowski had the balls to say that “The country needs an Attorney General who will check the worst impulses of this administration. I hope Mr. Blanche is able to achieve that, if confirmed, but I simply do not have the confidence that will be the case.” Well said, Senator Murkowski!

Blanche is the acting attorney general and he has faced a rigorous and contentious confirmation process last month in which he was grilled over this rotten regime’s $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization” fund, which has been called a “slush fund” by various senators. This so-called fund was intended to compensate alleged victims of politically motivated prosecutions, which would have gone to January 6 insurrectionists who were pardoned by the despot on his first day in office. The fund was created as part of Dump’s settlement with the IRS over a leak of his tax records and also included a guarantee that he and his family business would be sheltered from tax audits. Isn’t this just peachy keen for this felon?

During Blanche’s confirmation hearing, senators had sought written assurances that the fund would be rescinded and the scope of the audit immunity clarified, and this is what Blanche ultimately agreed to. But come on, folks, after all of this time with the clown cabinet in the White House and the persistent lies everyone there spouts, who fucking believes that - if confirmed - this Dump loyalist will uphold his word. Not a fucking minute can we believe this guy, and these senators are fucking fools if they take his word for it!

What was also requested of Blanche during his confirmation hearing was that he meet with Epstein survivors which he previously agreed not to do. So he reluctantly did meet with a representative few and not one of them stated that the meeting was anywhere productive or substantive. Of course, Blanche lied like everyone else and claimed the opposite. Now who would you believe here: several victims of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse or a lying, amoral former Dump attorney who’s already compromised his morals for defending the piece of shit in the courtroom?

Democrats have denounced the Justice Department’s failure to redact personal information about the survivors, but not that of individuals who might have participated in their abuse. They have also raised concerns the “anti-weaponization” fund is not dead and that loopholes exist to resurrect it.

You can bet your bottom dollar if Blanche is now confirmed as attorney general, you will definitely not see the end of that fund, as it will miraculously reappear like Lazarus and will be used most inappropriately and unwisely. And this worst president will have achieved another form of immunity from many of his crimes. When is enough enough already?

Ron's Complaints

How Team Dump Is Skewing War Dead in Chump's Personal Iran War

Ronald Gersh

Now that I’ve been home about a week since venturing into Florida’s steamy, humid air, I can report on a very disturbing phenomenon undertaken by Team Dump in a vain attempt to inaccurately report on the war dead and injured in the Iranian war that this asshole in chief launched on February 28. As of now, the Department of Defense released casualty figures from the Iran war that added hundreds of new ones to the totals, even while they attempt to reclassify some to claim that they didn’t take place during wartime hostilities. Tell this to the families of those war dead that their sons or daughters do not count in the overall tally of those who were injured or died in the conflict. This is so appalling that there’s no adequate response to such gaslighting from this abominable regime.

According to the Defense Casualty Analysis System (DCAS), the current total of U.S. troops wounded in the war is now pegged at 624. As of last Friday, the DCAS listed the number of troops injured in the conflict at 420.

The Pentagon and Dump officials played a three-card monte game with the statistics emanating from the Iranian conflict, hoping that the grim statistics coming out of Dump’s war wouldn’t look so bad to the American people, but they can smell a rat very fast here. It seems that four individuals killed in this war were removed from the Pentagon tally late last week, to be placed in some other cache of war dead, thus making it appear that only 14 died in the conflict. One is too many!

This miscalling of the dead prompted an outrage from the families of those killed in July which led to the more accurate number being reported now. So as this horrible administration attempts to mislead the American people as to how tragic Dump’s war really is, they are just shooting themselves in the foot with obfuscation and outright lies.

As to how dumb this president is, he took questions from the press on Air Force One on his way to a Michigan rally in which his presence should serve as a curse like all of his recent appearances at sporting events and was asked about Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s contention that Russia is giving Iran satellite imagery of U.S. bases in in the Gulf to help them target, and was asked what he can do about it. He responded with his usual skeptical air whenever his fellow strongman Putin is concerned, saying “I’ll ask Putin about it. I don’t think they’ve been doing it - certainly not at a high level and if they have, it has been very unimpactful.” Boy, what an idiot! He’s been giving the monster of Russia the benefit of the doubt ever since he wheedled his way in the White House way back in 2017.

As for the question of depleted stockpiles, the idiot in chief played down the serious issue, saying, “We have a lot. We have a lot of ammunition, different types. You know, Biden gave a lot to Ukraine and so we’re building that up, but we have a lot.” His vocabulary just stuns us with its scope, doesn’t it? A four-year-old has more of an extensive vocabulary than the Orange Fascist.

On “Today in Politics, Bulletin 427, 7/27/26,” from the MeidasTouch network, from which I’ve culled these statistics, the above statement from the liar in chief was called for what it truly was: a lie. It was the Republican House which voted to authorize the Biden administration to sell Ukraine the MGM-140 Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) and a small number of Patriot interceptor missiles. We did not provide Ukraine with Tomahawks, which have been the primary weapons used by Chump to bomb Iran.

As for the claim that U.S. stockpiles are being depleted in Dump’s war, former Representative Adam Kinzinger states the reason for this observation is that Dump is using top-level stuff to hit target after target in Iran instead of using cheaper munitions for low-level targets. He said, “That’s why we’re limited.” I can’t understand why no one in the Pentagon or military is telling him or the drunk Pete Hegseth that you can’t use high-level munitions for every sortie here.

On a lighter note, who watched the asshole in chief humiliate himself with an execrable speech at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. I wrote on many a Facebook posting that I would rather watch paint dry than listen to his incoherent babbling. I actually watched 1932’s Freaks that night, which I think was a perfect metaphor for what was happening in Washington. I cannot fathom why the whole room didn’t get up and leave when he spoke. The journalists in the room would have sent a strong message if they indeed left the room the minute he took to the podium.

Anyway, they didn’t and I contend they lost a good opportunity to take a stand for freedom of the press, especially when this bastard has repeatedly gone after them. So let’s see what’s next on this asshole in chief’s dark agenda. I can hardly wait to see.

I’ll see you the next time.

<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" target="_blank" He also called Trump “the most flawed nominee in the history of the Republican party,” as well as “a race-baiting bigot,” and a “jackass.” Fast forward to 2026, and Graham couldn’t be any more of a gung-ho cheerleader for the illiberal policies of this fascist in chief. Hell, what happened in that decade? I wonder. What made him so obeisant before his Golden Idol? There has been speculation that Dump had something on the South Carolina senator and it wasn’t a white collared shirt. Now new dirt has emerged that Graham procured the services of several sex workers.

After the January 6, 2021 insurrection executed by Dump, Graham did have a brief fling with moral righteousness when he declared “count me out” and “enough is enough.” He changed his tune rather quickly when it became quite clear that Dump would win again. It seemed to Graham that he favored friendship and the proximity to power more than common decency and morality since he became a good golfing chum of the cheating president.

Graham’s demise will now cast Dump adrift without one of his few friends and genuine supporters, which I welcome enthusiastically, now that many repugnicans have no stomach for escalating our war with Iran. The fascist in chief has become very weak in the wake of his distracting war with this country and his poll numbers definitely reflect that.

What I truly despised about this man was his tireless efforts to sabotage LBTQ+ legislation all throughout his legislative career. Because of his self-hatred arising from being a closeted homosexual, he voiced his opposition to the Obergefell v. Hodges 2015 Supreme Court decision that guaranteed the right of same-sex couples to marry. He favored the Defense of Marriage Act, signed by then-President Bill Clinton that limited the definition of marriage to the union of one man and one woman.

For these instances of voting against his own community, I find Graham’s actions particularly egregious. Thus I do not call him a patriot and only mourn his close relationship with the sister with whom she became his legal guardian after her parents died before reaching the age of 14, I’ve learned in other articles. So theirs was a close and loving relationship, from what I can gather.

Graham’s death also casts a critical eye on the worsening health issues of Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell who has been hospitalized way back in June. McConnell and Graham served as two of the most powerful advocates for a hawkish foreign policy and now their absence from the Appropriations Committee leaves federal spending work stalled.

The timing couldn’t be worse for Trumpicans. In the wake of the ceasefire that never was, the fascist in chief has resumed military strikes against Iran and is seeking an obscene $87 billion infusion in military spending to support Dump’s war, on top of his proposed 40 percent boost to the regular defense budget, while Americans practically starve to death.

Now the ailing Kentucky “Grim Reaper” himself has released a statement yesterday in which he stated he was hospitalized after a fall after which he suffered from “mild pneumonia” and has now moved to a rehabilitation facility. He claims he won’t be able to return to the Senate quite yet to vote on much-needed legislation. The picture of him in his hospital bed with his much-younger wife, former Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, has already been mocked in liberal circles as a “proof of life” stunt, orchestrated by the 84-year-old despised senator. Boy, if this isn’t the best argument for instituting term limits here for our legislators, then we might as well go back to sleep.

Any way, these were just some of my musings on the sudden death of the South Carolina senator which I heard from a friend on Saturday and initially refuted, thinking he meant that “Bitch” - as I call him - McConnell had finally met his Maker.

I’ll see you soon, as I’m flying down to Florida to visit some ailing cousins. I’ll be back after July 21. I’m curious to know how you feel about Lindsey Graham’s death.

Ron's Complaints

Dump's Disastrous Fourth of July

Ronald Gersh

The Great American State Fair was anything but great. The fair saw sparse attendance throughout the week leading up to the 4th. And the liar in chief did what he does best: lie. According to Ben Meiselas from his MeidasTouch Network, Dump predicted that 375,000 people would attend his disastrous July 4th event. He then claimed that 150,000 showed up but the images from the fair don’t lie. He stood in front of visibly empty seating, delivered a stammering, garbled speech which I wouldn’t care to repeat here - he is oh so irrelevant now, it’s not funny! - and the supposed piece de resistance, the massive fireworks show, culminated in such plumes of smoke from the large amount of explosives used that most people’s ability to even see the show was blocked. I also read that pollution levels rose precipitously from Dump’s explosive nightmare of a show.

According to the MeidasTouch Network Monday update, “the health numbers from the weekend are worse than most coverage let on. Washington DC Fire and EMS made 96 patient contacts and 40 patient transports from the National Mall on July 3rd and 4th alone. George Washington University medical reported an additional 289 patient contacts from the Mall.”

The cleanup effort from this nightmarish event was no bed of roses either. Days later, the National Mall was still littered with firework debris, with some of it sitting in the Reflecting Pool that brilliantly reflects the maxim, “Everything Dump touches turns to shit!” and with some of it piled along the walkway in trash bags as forklifts hauled away spent launch tubes marked with danger explosive signage. Dump sycophant Doug Burgum, another one of the president’s many unqualified cabinet members, acting as Interior Secretary, has commented that the Reflecting Pool will now be drained and repaired again, using the same no-bid contractor who mishandled the job the first time around. Burgum ridiculously stated that the contractor, a good friend of the Orange Despot, did a great job and that the damage was caused by gremlins, no “vandals,” as the cause is now being bantered about. Of course, the true explanation will never be recognized: that the work was of such substandard quality and was carried out by Dump’s preferred contractor.

What really should disturb every American who believes in the promise of this country was that 400 masked white supremacists marched down Washington streets in broad, steamy daylight, and nobody blinked at all. These cowards who had their faces hidden were members of the Patriot Front. And as expected, the racist in chief said nothing about this incursion by 400 members of this militia group who waved Confederate flags next to inverted American flags. This is sickening and this is how this broken country “celebrated” its 250th anniversary. I would prefer to hid in a cave!

Anyway, as for me on this mournful, unhappy 4th of July, I went out to see a horror film, Obsession, at a local theater to beat the heat. Actually, the interior of the theater did not get too cool all throughout the film, but no one seated inside complained to management. However, I thoroughly enjoyed this new entry in the genre that was financed by an internet influencer, excuse me, a YouTuber - whatever they are - by the name of Curry Barker who’s only in his 20s. Mr. Barker also wrote and directed the movie which has garnered a 94 percent Rotten Tomatoes rating which is deservedly earned. Go out and see it before it comes to a streaming service near you!

Briefly, the film examines the trauma and terror that might result from easy wish fulfillment, as in “beware of what you might wish for.” The story concerns a hopeless romantic young man who resorts to a supernatural novelty to win his crush’s heart and when his undying dream actually comes true via a toy called “One Wish Willow,” the fun and terror truly begin. The tale seems to be inspired by a much earlier short story called “The Monkey’s Paw,” written by W.W. Jacobs in the early 1900s.

So that was my 4th. I would be interested to hear of what any of my readers did on that day. Did you also hide in a cave the whole day and stay away from any mirthful festivities like I did? If it weren’t so hot here and the political climate weren’t so grim, I would have attempted to see the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Show.

Until the next time!

Ron's Complaints

Mea Culpa to "More Bad News for the Orange Fascist"

Ronald Gersh

I have to amend something that I wrote yesterday in my article on the latest ruling delivered by this Extreme Court. The decision was on upholding the 14th Amendment’s decision on birthright citizenship and what the Orange Fascist wanted the Court to do by declaring it null and void. They didn’t, thank God, but I reported that the decision was 7-2; it wasn’t. It was just 6-3 as I later learned, with three dissenters: Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and Neil Gorsuch. They were willing to trample on a more than 150-year-old precedent interpreting what constitutes an American just to mollify a senile old fascist. They should be ashamed of themselves, and I truly hope Democrats do something quite radical concerning the Supreme Court when they win back power after the November midterms.

The amendment providing birthright citizenship was ratified in 1868 after the Civil War and almost a century after the nation’s founding, but as we all know, the arc of progress is sublimely slow to realize.

As the nation’s 250th anniversary nears, Americans must recognize how pernicious Dump and his horrible cronies are in attempting to decelerate this nation’s progress and betray its principles set to paper by the Founding Fathers.

In the wake of this decision, the Orange Fascist hasn’t relented one iota, the son of a bitch! He is now calling on Congress to end birthright citizenship via legislation and without the need for a constitutional amendment. I seriously doubt that Congress has the willpower to ever do that, considering how low repugnicans’ chances are for winning back the House in November. I doubt that they would try to alienate Americans even more by giving in to the Orange Fascist on this one.

So again, I offer my apology for making an error on the Court’s decision yesterday. I’m flabbergasted, though, that the ruling was not unanimous.

In closing, I won’t automatically wish you a happy 4th of July, as you can understand. Do a lot of reflection on that day instead. I know I will.

Ron's Complaints

More Bad News for the Orange Fascist

Ronald Gersh

Today, the “Extreme” - as I am now calling this body of jurists - Court handled America an early July 4th present: it struck down Chump’s plan to end birthright citizenship in a 7-2 ruling that even his own appointees couldn’t save. At least here, the Court ruled rationally in stating that Dump’s meddling with birthright citizenship was unconstitutional, striking down even for him one of his most aggressive and unlawful moves of his second disastrous term.

His order was signed on his first day back in office and it directed federal agencies to deny Social Security numbers and passports to babies born in the United States to parents without permanent legal status. It was a direct challenge to the 14th Amendment, which states clearly that anyone born in the United States is a citizen. Even a minority of justices that Dump himself appointed would not go along with his shredding of the Constitution in this regard, and of that, we should be somewhat thankful. There were two other decisions that favored the Orange Menace and those are disappointing in the least.

Lower courts had already ruled unanimously against the order, finding that it both violated the Constitution and federal immigration law. If this change were to go into ghastly effect, it would have allowed Dump to reshape the future electorate and chip away at the political power of immigrant communities for a generation.

Of course, when the ruling was handed down, this toddler in chief does what he always does: tear down his opponents with coarse, sophomoric language. Taking to social media, Chump called the justices “dumb” and the country “stupid” for upholding a right that has been settled law for more than 150 years. Again, this juvenile in the White House was using projection when he called out the justices for not siding with him.

This is that rare loss that Dump and his regime cannot spin. Citizenship for millions of American children was on the line, and today, the Constitution won. But let’s not get too comfortable, as this despot will try to undo something else before he leaves office. If he ever does?

One of the justices that dissented with the minority on this 7-2 ruling was, naturally, Clarence Thomas, he of questionable moral ethics because of his questionable association with many wealthy plutocrats, who received a shellacking by Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson who provided a written takedown of Thomas’s dissent. Yay, Justice Brown!

And what about Dump’s ballyhooed Great American State Fair, which was anything but. Even before this abysmal fair ever kicked off, there were signs of serious trouble. Not only did musical acts withdraw from the gathering, but roughly a fifth of the nation’s states decided not to send official delegations or spend public money on participating in the fair.

When the delusional head of state decided to headline his own event to kick off the festivities, turnout was particularly abysmal, and many attendees were seen hightailing it out of there during the longwinded campaign-style speech being given by Sleepy Don. Watching paint dry was preferred over listening to the Orange Gasbag. Actually, leaving was preferred here!

Reading an article about this total disaster, I learned that the 110-foot-tall Ferris wheel shut down for a number of hours due to lack of power. The ice cream melted, and a display of the Confederate flag was removed from North Carolina’s booth after Governor Josh Stein condemned the vendor for putting it up.

I also learned about numerous “power outages” and “empty or understaffed booths” before quoting this report on the pitiful event called the Great American State Fair: “Rodeos and baby farm animals drew crowds but the fair appeared sparsely attended; there were no lines to get in, the lawn was fairly void of people and entertainers outnumbered guests at points.” Sounds like a typical Dump fuck-up to me!

That is why on this particular July 4th, I will be hiding in my house. Instead of celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary, I will be mourning this point in time! I’m sure millions will join me in this collective expression of grief.

See you after the 4th!

A True Reflection of Trump's Rot

Have you heard the latest failure of this president?

Ronald Gersh

Have you heard the latest failure of this president? Yes, I’m talking about the debacle of Washington’s Reflecting Pool which sits astride the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. The whole project has come under scrutiny and is so emblematic of Dump’s failed presidency that it’s almost risible: the so-called president decided to award a no-bid contract to a business tied to a longtime supporter of the Orange Fascist to install the water purification system in the pool, and before you could say “yuck,” the water turned a ghastly green from algae. This renovation, as it were, cost $14.2 million which Dump had prematurely boasted that the pool would turn “American flag” blue, but instead, it has turned sea turtle green instead.

As if that weren’t bad enough, as this country prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary (of which I will definitely take a pass), this dumb nut in the White House is now skirting all responsibility for what he’s done by declaring that “vandals” are the real cause of what has happened with the Reflecting Pool. Dump has even had some of these “assailants” arrested. As always, this president has no evidence whatsoever of this so-called vandalism of the pool. He has jauntily bragged that “multiple individuals” have been arrested by U.S. park police for “vandalizing our Nations [sic] magnificent Reflecting Pool,” as he claimed falsely on his ridiculous “Truth” Social platform.

The delusional commander in “grief” also claimed that the algae problem was largely under control, suggesting it was “75% gone” and the issue would soon be “completely remedied.”

One of those sadly arrested was David Hearn, a three-time U.S. Olympian and canoeist, who was hauled into court for absolutely doing nothing. He claimed to The Washington Post that “I didn’t vandalize anything.” He was seen reaching into the water by police and was arrested on that basis alone. He asserted, “I didn’t destroy or break or peel anything. By the time I realized what was going on, I was being put into handcuffs.”

What was floating on the surface of the pool were large flakes of paint peeling from the basin and floating on the surface. Hearn might have seen this and was just reaching into the water to examine it.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said it best about this made-up crisis engineered by a supremely incompetent president: “Found an imaginary problem, said only they could fix it, didn’t listen to experts, hired buddies who grifted millions, failed miserably, bragged how great it went. The entire Trump presidency in a nutshell.”

Again, this whole pool crisis is so emblematic of the failed policies and agenda of this regime that you couldn’t even make it up if you wanted to. It’s too surreal that only Salvador Dali would grasp it.

Are we ready for a change yet, folks?

Dump's Shitty Iran Deal

As of now, we’ve all learned that the war this Epstein-obsessed president started as a distraction from the infamous Epstein Files is apparently over, with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) being codified now by both countries.

Ronald Gersh

As of now, we’ve all learned that the war this Epstein-obsessed president started as a distraction from the infamous Epstein Files is apparently over, with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) being codified now by both countries. Even the pusillanimous repugnicans who cannot ever grow a pair have begun crying foul over the conditions of ending the war and are saying how terrible the situation is with Iran and how we actually lost the war that this “peace president” started for no sane reason at all on February 28.

Here are some salient points about how we abysmally lost and how this president should be taken to task for negotiating the most horrendous foreign policy initiative ever by any former commander in chief.

As background to where we have gotten up to now with Iran, you all recall how this jealous idiot tore up the original 2015 Iran deal, brokered by his predecessor Barack Obama whom he can’t stand because he claimed it was a bad deal, just because it had Obama’s signature on it. That was called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). When the agreement was withdrawn by Dump during his first term, Iran found it appropriate to restart its uranium enrichment program, which then led to Trump apparently “obliterating” those sites last summer. Don’t believe a word of what he said then - and now! This never happened if we had to go to war with Iran this past February.

This new document pledges that we provide $300 billion in cash to Iran - which is much more than the $1.7 billion in assets returned to Iran as part of the 2015 deal. Think of this enormous win for a country we were supposedly at war with, and it’s mind numbing.

As for ending sanctions against Iran, one of the points actually lifts all sanctions against Iran. The original treaty lifted some of the uranium enrichment-based sanctions, but it left other sanctions in place pertaining to Iran’s human rights abuses, its ballistic missile program, and its funding of terrorism. But with the “Art of the Deal” Dump, all those remaining sanctions just go away. Just read the memorandum.

If there are no new sanctions against Iran, it can continue to develop nuclear technology, so what does this agreement give us with regard to protecting us from Iran developing new nuclear technology? Absolutely nothing, it seems.

And what about the disputed Strait of Hormuz that Iran has closed to commercial vessels on and off during this interminable conflict? As of now, Iran has agreed to ensure the safe passage of commercial vessels through the strait via toll-free transit for 60 days, and after that, the country could charge vessels a fee for going through.

One Republican senator, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, has already stated that “This is the worst foreign policy blunder in decades.” He also noted that former President Ronald Reagan is “rolling over in his grave.” He claimed that Iran’s nuclear ambitions were not curbed at all with this faulty agreement and that the Strait of Hormuz can now be leveraged again by this current opponent of ours.

Thus this ridiculous war has cost the United States the lives of 13 service members, injuries to 400 more, and at least $132 billion so far in immediate costs, lost income, and higher consumer costs, only to leave the nation in a significantly worse place with regard to Iran than before Drumpf started bombing. Does this give you confidence in this kakistocratic regime at this juncture? I would say not at all.

Bring on the midterms.

Ron's Complaints

A Much Reviled President

Ronald Gersh

Two recent disasters befalling our benighted president made the news recently. Both point to his increasing cognitive and physical decline, especially during Dump’s catastrophic interview with Kristen Welker on Meet the Press on Sunday in which the toddler in chief abruptly stormed out of the interview because of Welker’s refusal to bend in the wake of the lies he was spouting about California’s gubernatorial election. The Orange Turd repeatedly falsely claimed that the election was rigged, which is what this bum does all the time when he’s afraid that the results will go against his fascistic party. When Welker bravely pressed him for evidence to support his bizarre claims, he began attacking both her and NBC, calling them “crooked” and accusing the network of knowingly ignoring election fraud - which is only in his head, not anyone else’s. He then returned to his fucking longstanding assertion that he won the 2020 election. Aren’t we fucking tired of this guy’s spiel by now? At that point, the heavily pancaked insulter in chief walked off the set. Does anyone even care?

The second disaster occurred just last night when Dump decided to attend the Knicks NBA Finals game at Madison Square Garden for no sane reason and he was mercilessly booed and heckled by the crowd when his smirking face was caught on the big screen during the singing of the National Anthem. Of course, this delusional ignoramus had another take of New Yorkers’ ire of him: he tried to suggest that the crowd was cheering him instead of deriding him which was definitely not the case. He had the balls to actually say, “I thought [it was] great, I mean. I thought it was amazing actually. You mean when they had the camera on me? I thought it was very good, yes. It was certainly amazing. It was, I think, mostly cheers [no, it wasn’t!]. It was loud and and it was very enthusiastic.”

The profanity-laden crowd met the president’s motorcade as it pulled up to the venue. Numerous attendees brandished signs expressing their profound displeasure with Dump’s appearance, with at least two giving him the middle finger, while another offered a thumbs-down. Security around the perimeter of the Garden was as tight as a drum and this prevented New Yorkers from having watch parties nearby. And just as could have been predicted, the presence of Dump there worked as a curse, not a charm. The Knicks lost to the San Antonio Spurs, 115-111. As I have always contended, “Whatever Dump touches turns to shit!”

Maybe the guy could finally get the message that he’s universally disliked and stop making these forays out of his comfort zone and stay locked up in the White House until his fucking second term ends!

Ron's Complaints

Catching Up on Orange Turd News

Ronald Gersh

Sorry for not writing sooner since I was away for two weeks overseas. Specifically, I went to London to take several side trips to various locales and to end it by boarding the Queen Mary 2 in Southampton on May 22. This was not a “cruise” but a “transatlantic crossing,” as a former QM2 captain was wont to say. Thus I was ensconced with over 2,600 passengers plus over 1,300 crew members for the seven days we were sailing on the Atlantic. It was a lot of fun since the theme of the crossing was British theater and there were many stars of the West End performing for us the entire week. Naturally, I had heard of no one before participating in the events onboard, but by the end of the crossing, I familiarized myself with quite a few of the artists onboard, names like Liz Robertson who was married to American lyricist Alan Jay Lerner over 40 years ago, Norman Bowman, of Les Miserables, Linzi Hateley, of Mama Mia!, Shanay Holmes, of Jesus Christ Superstar, Tobias Turley (I took a selfie with this young man toward the end of the voyage), of West Side Story, and others.

What was particularly enjoyable about this two-week escape was that I eschewed listening to news about our convicted felon president. Even if I had access to CNN in London or on the ship, I averted my ears to listening to the latest scandal or ridiculousness coming out of Washington.

Forgive me if I’m not up to speed on the most recent developments arising from the Dump regime. I’ll have to acquaint myself with the news again this week. I do know that the Iranian conflict has not progressed well for this doofus of a president: Iran has suspended negotiations with the United States as of today, citing Israel’s expanding military operations in Lebanon and accusing this country of responsibility for ceasefire violations. However, the pathological liar in the Oval Office has claimed that U.S.-Iran talks were continuing despite evidence to the contrary. Tehran was also considering further disruptions to key shipping routes, including the Strait of Hormuz, causing oil prices to rise sharply.

The toddler in chief was also outraged over several court decisions against him, specifically the one where a federal court ruled that he had to follow the law regarding renaming the Kennedy Center. The second one in which he was forced to bow out of doing something so reprehensible that even some usually pusillanimous repugnicans broke ranks to voice their criticism of it was this supposedly $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization” fund that would have benefited political allies at the expense of the American taxpayer. There were justified concerns that this “slush fund” could have been horribly used to pay out violent supporters who stormed the U.S. Capitol and assaulted police officers on January 6, 2021. Wasn’t it enough that this asshole pardoned over 1,200 “patriots” who engaged in this traitorous act on his first official day as president? How much of this blatant bending of norms can we take as a nation?

Anyway, that’s just a scintilla of the latest Dump outrages I can report on. I’m sure you can name a dozen more if you were asked to, but I’ll reserve writing about those at a later date.

See you soon!

Ron's Complaints

Republicans Become More Fascistic Every Day

Ronald Gersh

Today the Virginia Supreme Court struck down a voter-approved congressional redistricting plan, which would have paved the way for Democrats to win as many as four additional House seats in the midterm elections. If you can accept this decision, Democrats violated constitutional procedures when placing the referendum on the ballot for last month’s special election.

Of course, the Orange Buffoon in the Oval Office applauded the decision, calling it a “huge win for the Republican Party, and America, in Virginia.” Without saying it’s more of a loss for democracy and American voters who cast their ballot in approving the referendum.

This horrible move comes on the heels of the U.S. “Extreme” Court’s gutting the Voting Rights Act this month, which has opened the floodgates of Republican efforts to erase majority-Black congressional districts in the South. It’s tantamount to post-Jim Crow laws sweeping Southern districts and symbolizes more of a regressive arc this country is hurtling toward under the reign of Donald J. Chump and his racist minions.

We can thank the Orange Turd for coming up with this unethical, immoral plan to keep his unholy repugnican majority in the House and Senate beyond the November midterms. He decided last year that this American model should be discarded and that it was time for repugnican officials in key states to embrace gerrymandering without regard for fairness, norms, traditions, or propriety.

The goal was straightforward here: Deliver repugnican victories in congressional races long before Americans had a chance to cast their ballots. In this case, all Americans should be repulsed by what repugnicans are doing at the behest of the convicted felon in the White House and should not vote for any repugnican in any race.

So here we are trying to upset the results of the midterm elections before a single ballot is cast, and it’s abominable. Again, it’s only because of the sexual predator in the White House that this country is moving backward instead of forward.

This whole process began with repugnicans in the Lone Star State approving a map designed to give repugnicans five additional U.S. House seats. This touched off a national arms race.

Responding to Texas, Democratic officials in the Golden State, as well as the state’s voters, approved a map of their own designed to give Democrats five additional U.S. House seats.

Following both states, repugnicans in Missouri decided to do the same thing in their state, which resulted in an advantage of one additional repugnican seat. This occurred in September.

In October, the next state to undergo such a transformation was North Carolina in which state repugnicans approved a map designed to give repugnicans one additional seat.

Other states participating in this mad scramble to give repugnicans an unfair advantage in November were Florida, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Alabama.

Even though this seems irrevocable, what is important to stress here is that some of these maps are currently facing legal challenges, and it’s not from repugnicans since they have spearheaded this loathsome practice, while others are still taking shape. Most of these maps would take effect during this year’s election cycle, but there’s still some uncertainty surrounding the implementation date in some districts.

This decision then by the Virginia Supreme Court has only repugnicans applauding its ruling. If you ask me, the behavior of these repugnicans only intensifies my animosity toward this fucking fascistic party under the Orange Menace. I cannot fathom why anyone in their right mind would ever vote repugnican again after this scheme of theirs takes shape across the land.

By the way, who’s happy over paying close to $5 for gas at the pump ever since we got into this undeclared war with Iran? This led to dissatisfaction with Biden’s presidency, but now we have only one thin-skinned subhuman to thank for this situation, and we all know his name rhymes with “Dump.”

On a less partisan level, let me wish everyone a happy Mother’s Day this Sunday.

Ron's Complaints

Chaos Erupts at White House Correspondents' Dinner

Ronald Gersh

This is the fastest I’ve written another piece for Substack since I just posted a column yesterday. But circumstances warrant another piece in the wake of the shooting last night at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner (WHCD) in which the despotic president and top officials were targeted by a lone gunman, 31-year-old teacher from California, Cole Tomas Allen. This time the suspect was no pimply, incel youth but an educated resident of Torrance, California, who earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the CA Institute of Tech and later an M.S. in Computer Science from California State University.

Before the shooting, Allen released a manifesto minutes before he caused the chaos at the annual Washington event in which he wrote about his antipathy for this president and how he targeted administration officials “from highest-ranking to lowest,” but surprisingly, not including Kash Patel, the bug-eyed FBI director.

Well, there are so many theories regarding this terrible event and, thank God, no one was seriously injured. The gunman was falsely reported to have been killed by authorities, but that was not true. He was tackled to the ground and was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.

There were grumblings before the event concerning the lax security being followed at the event at the Washington Hilton. According to “This Weekend in Politics, Bulletin 357” posted by MeidasTouch, a GOP lawmaker said that all you needed to get in was to flash a ticket or a screenshot of an email. He added, “There was no actual inspection of what you showed anyone.”

Immediately following the incident, what became cringeworthy were the sycophantic tributes laid on the head of the Orange Turd. One of these tributes came from alcohol-challenged Kash Patel whose job might be on the firing line soon. He gushed: “Mr. President, you inspire them 24/7, 365. You give them the resources that they need and you know, they know that you have their back, and that is a changing dynamic in this country and that’s why you saw a brave Secret Service agent respond immediately, swiftly, subdue and take down the suspect and safeguard the lives of thousands (?) of individuals at that hotel.” Huh! Don’t you just want to retch over this fawning display of praise over a convicted felon and adjudicated sexual predator delivered by a supremely unqualified FBI director?

Another gusher was Monica Crowley who actually said this: Once again, you witnessed the Hand of God tonight.” Crowley is the Chief of Protocol at the White House. In the light of this ridiculous statement, you would think she was some sort of evangelical pastor. Maybe she is, even, who knows?

Another Hand of God speaker was Franklin Graham who posted this malarkey: “After three assassination attempts, some people say that President Trump is one lucky man. I don’t think luck has anything to do with it - I believe it is the hand of God. What do you think?”

Now before anyone calls this just another phony assassination attempt on Dump’s life, listen to the president himself who immediately posted this on his “Truth” Social platform. He called for the resumption of construction of the East Wing ballroom that he wants built which would supposedly be more secure than the Washington Hilton, but who is at fault there? Shouldn’t there have been more security protocols in place at the dinner before this horrible incident took place?

I won’t put my two cents in here, saying whether I believe this shooting was staged to boost Dump’s miserable approval ratings or be viewed as a distraction from his failed policies during his second term, but one thing is apparent from this event: there were no serious discussions concerning toughening our lax gun laws, so that this young man would not have had access to the stockpile that he had. The only discussion emanating from this unfortunate incident was one regarding the East Wing of the White House, the building of a damn ballroom, nothing more. To me, this is a sorry reminder of how terrible things are under this administration.

Well, at least Dump never got roasted by the correspondents at that dinner. And we never got to hear him ramble on about his newest pet peeve. I wouldn’t have watched the event anyway.

Until this Friday!

Ron's Complaints

The War Still Rages On

Ronald Gersh

It’s coming close to two months that we’ve become mired in this Iranian mess, thanks to the dolt who is president. And there is no end in sight, as this doofus of a president realizes he has waded into treacherous waters by bombing Iran. Today the Orange Turd decided not to send his emissaries to Islamabad to negotiate with Pakistani officials in talks to end the conflict. The idiot said this on his “Truth” Social: “I just canceled the trip of my representatives going to Islamabad, Pakistan, to meet with the Iranians. Too much time wasted on traveling, too much work!” Oh, so this nut job thinks it’s too much work to send two sycophants like his son-in-law who has profited mightily from his ties with Saudi Arabia and Steve Witkoff, the U.S. special envoy, to the region, even though the ramifications of his stupid act ripple through the country and beyond. What other president would say such drivel and signal his intention to not urgently try to negotiate a peace with the nation he declared this war against? Only Donald J. Dump would, that’s who!

As you might recall, it is this president who scrapped the deal that former President Barack Obama crafted with the Iranians in 2015 called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and thought he could steamroll his way over the Iranians with a far better compact, but that hasn’t happened at all since this country informally declared war against the country on February 28. When he became president the first time, Chump pulled out of the agreement in 2018, urged on by his then-national security advisor, John Bolton. The theory back then was that a renewed sanctions campaign would bring Iran back to the table, but this did not pan out the way it was envisioned.

With the deal broken up, Iran resumed its previous enrichment activities. At the time, it was the Biden administration that was unable to convince a skeptical Tehran to take the deal, leaving the unresolved situation to an emboldened Dump to face upon reelection.

Last year, Dump launched a brief bombing campaign against Iran’s nuclear program, with him initially declaring it a total success, only to backtrack in the lead-up to the war he began in late February.

Thus Dump’s folly of a war has done nothing but strengthen the resolve of Iran’s hard-liners to hold off on offering future concessions. Meanwhile, anyone influential in Iran who is still alive and might favor a long-term peace deal can’t be certain that this country would uphold our end of the deal this time around, thanks to the erratic nature of this president.

So instead of weakening this Middle Eastern country, Iran now comes off as stronger than it was back in 2015. The world’s great powers are more divided than ever, especially during the time of the first peace deal negotiated in 2015. There are no new United Nations Security Council sanctions waiting to be applied - not with the U.S. as the aggressor this time around and Russia and China firmly in Iran’s corner.

All of these misguided efforts to rein in this country has backfired on this president, and he knows it. Realistically, this country is now in a worse position than it was way back in 2015, all thanks to the meddling efforts of this clueless president.

In the meantime, I’m personally getting ready to participate in my next protest which is set for Friday, May Day, May 1, where we hope more than 10 million irate Americans will engage in events throughout the nation to signal their profound distaste with this regime. This time, the demonstration takes place in Manhattan later in the day, and I’ll probably be going with members of Forest Hills Indivisible like the last time, on March 28. I just hope it doesn’t rain that day.

Have fun with gassing up the old family car in the meantime!

Ron's Complaints

A Hopeful Sign - Finally

Ronald Gersh

The sitting president here was dealt a crushing blow today with the loss of veteran Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s seat in a general election held on this date. Thus ends the autocrat’s 16-year hold on power in which he lost his seat to opposition leader Peter Magyar, leader of the center-right opposition Tisza party. As we all should know, the U.S. autocrat endorsed the nationalist, pro-Russian leader during the campaign, even sending his lapdog vice president to Hungary to campaign for the unpopular dictator. Little good did that do, it seems.

Voters didn’t buy Vance’s meddling in their internal politics and sent a resounding message at the ballot box. Magyar campaigned on fighting corruption, but also on domestic issues, like sounding out on Hungary’s stagnating economy and its poor health care.

This victory for pro-Europe leader Magyar allows Europe now to breathe a sigh of relief over the election’s results. Orban’s 16-year rule marked a strong shift away from the Western liberal values that shaped Hungary during its first two decades after the end of Communist rule. Just like Dump here, Orban drove through changes that were widely seen as eroding the democratic rule of law like presiding over the erosion of press and academic freedoms and backtracking on the rights of minorities.

He spent an inordinate time campaigning against those he described as the enemies of Hungary: liberals, free press, universities, migrants, minorities, including LGBTQ+ people and, most recently, the European Union and Ukraine. Doesn’t this description eerily sound like the Orange Turd here who has declared war against the same supposed “enemies” in this country?

With the defeat of Orban today, I do think that our Supreme Misleader is shaking in his Depends, as he foresees much the same fate on the horizon for him, possibly in November.

And who thinks that First Lady “Melanoma”’s speech the other day was quite a spectacle of stupidity and lies? Who can forget that spectacular coat she wore to a detention facility with “I really don’t care, do u?” emblazoned on it, which embodied her nihilistic philosophy brilliantly. So all her denials of involvement with Epstein lacked any credibility as she read her statement from the White House. Hell, there are emails on record between her and convicted sexual predator Ghislaine Maxwell. The only good that might have emerged from her statement is her suggestion that Epstein victims be given a chance to testify to Congress under oath just as Bill and Hillary Clinton did just recently. Maybe it would serve Congress’s interests if the First Lady herself did the same since she introduced more mystery into her rare appearance before the nation that can only be cleared up with her own testimony before Congress. I’m sure her hubby would not approve!

So there is hope yet for this country with the results of Hungary’s election today, as Vice President JD Vance suffered humiliation at the hands of Hungarian voters, as well as his boss, Donald J. Drumpf. I do hope the writing is on the wall for this “illiberal” regime as well.

Don’t get me started on Dump’s Iranian war which has been a disaster since Day 1. It’s like this country is being governed by the Three Stooges. Everything that can go wrong does. Oil prices have topped $100 a barrel again today after Dump signaled that the United States would blockade “any and all Ships [sic] trying to enter, or leave, the Strait of Hormuz.” This would threaten to disrupt the flow of oil, even.

This country has failed to reach a ceasefire agreement with Iran as the clock ticks down to the inevitable two-week deadline imposed by the Supreme Misleader. In that spiraling, misanthropic Easter Sunday tirade, the president has called off his threat of massive devastation of Iran - thank God! - and agreed to ceasefire discussions.

Now Iran is charging ships up to $2 million in tolls for passage through the crucial strait, something it never did before war was declared against it.

The blockade is supposed to take effect tomorrow at 10 a.m. Eastern Time, according to U.S. Central Command.

This plan risks costing Americans even more: if oil prices climb higher, gas prices will remain elevated. Now a gallon of gas in the country costs $4.12 on average as of today, up from 38 percent from the start of the war, despite declining slightly over the weekend. High oil prices will also affect food prices, as materials used for fertilizer and creating food packaging are affected by supply chain disruptions.

Do you possibly think that many Dump supporters are finally experiencing buyer’s remorse now over this unnecessary and costly war and other horrible policies he’s instituted since his inauguration that adversely affect them in the pocketbook?

Will we have our own Victor Orban moment here very soon? We can only hope.

Ron's Complaints

An Unhinged Easter Message from an Unhinged President

Ronald Gersh

Instead of delivering a message of peace and hope on this particular Easter Sunday, our unhinged, lunatic president delivers a message of hate and destruction in his morning address on social media in which he threatened to bomb Iran off the map if the country does not surrender to us by Tuesday. Here he goes again with establishing fake deadlines and then retreating. This has marked his damn presidency since he took office again - regretfully - in January 2025. No wonder he earned the sobriquet “TACO” Dump which means “Trump Always Chickens Out” early in his presidency to mark this specific behavioral pattern of his. This term was coined in May 2025 by Financial Times columnist Robert Armstrong to describe Dump’s pattern of threatening severer tariffs, causing market panic, and then backing down. But we weren’t in a war with another country back in May 2025.

So back to the Orange Turd’s comments today in which he issued a particularly profanity-laced threat to Iran, warning of severe military action should Tehran fail to make a deal or reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a critical oil thoroughfare. But in recent rants, this severely warped president openly boasted that the United States didn’t need the strait - that we had enough oil ourselves. Now he changed his tune again.

Dump also said that Tuesday “will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!!” Can you believe this insanity from a supposed leader of the free world? It’s utterly incomprehensible! Then this lunatic launched into a profanity-laced attack on Iran to “Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards.” And he proceeded his expletive-laced remarks with saying that the Iranians will be living in Hell. The shutdown of the strait, which accounts for approximately 20 percent of the world’s oil, has now led to a surge in gas prices. Hell, just the other day, I paid $4.19 at the pump here in Queens to fill my tank.

Finally, because of this totally inappropriate and lunatic message delivered today, some lawmakers are calling for the invocation of the 25th Amendment to get Drumpf out of office. The 25th Amendment, if you don’t know already, is a procedure in which the vice president and a majority of the cabinet could opt to replace the president due to an inability to discharge his duties properly, with the vice president stepping in and assuming the role of president.

One of those lawmakers is former congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene who said in a lengthy post on X today that the administration should “intervene in Trump’s madness.” She added: “I know all of you and him and he has gone insane, and all of you are complicit.” This she got right,

Joe Walsh, a former GOP congressman and now fierce Dump critic, wrote: “His Easter morning post. And just 2 days ago, one of his ‘religious advisors’ compared him to Jesus Christ.” That’s rich, considering he’s more of the anti-Christ than bearing any fair resemblance to the Son of God. Walsh goes on to condemn him severely, “He will forever be a stain on this country. And the world. 25th Amendment. Now. And to everyone else who, unlike Trump, understands & celebrates today - Happy Easter.”

Another critic calling for the 25th Amendment to be invoked is Anthony Scaramucci, Dump’s first-term White House Communications Director for a historic 11 days, who wrote: “It was at this point that our Founders thought the best thing to do would be to remove a mad man who has the executive office. It became more formalized with the 25th amendment, but more people now should be calling for this man’s removal.”

Hopefully, this getting-rid-of-him sentiment could be growing even among his MAGAt base of supporters who have strongly opposed his going into Iran from the very beginning. And ugly repugnicans have warned that the ongoing war could shatter Dump’s fan club completely, and it seems to be veering in this direction right now. Insiders have confirmed then that Iran is nowhere near as “decimated” as the demented president continues to insist.

Let’s see how the legacy media handles this breaking shift in keeping this madman on until 2028. I strongly believe he needs to go way before that if we want to continue to exist on this planet. It’s that existential! Do you agree?

Oh, by the way, I hope you did have a happy and peaceful Easter today!

Ron's Complaints

Massive No Kings Rallies throughout the Land

Ronald Gersh

Today I proudly participated in the third No Kings rally to protest the policies of this fascist and deeply unpopular regime. This could have been the largest demonstration against the government in any shape or form, as the numbers are tallied up. As of now, MS Now has postulated that at least 8 million people protested today in rallies across the country. I had hoped for 2 million more, but this number alone is still staggering.

I started out the day by meeting up with organizers of Forest Hills Indivisible of whom I’ve attached myself to ever since I gave up running my own online anti-Dump group called “Defenders of Democracy” for less than a year in 2025. That group, I was disappointed to discover, did not catch fire for whatever reason. I supposedly had about 35 members, but I soon learned that just signing up did not translate to true activism, as people would not show up for the meetings I had scheduled originally in Queens. After some criticism regarding the location of these meetings, I decided to change the venue to Manhattan, specifically Midtown, at a sports bar located on 40th Street and Madison Avenue. The two meetings I held there were not very successful; one just attracted two members and the first one had only one participant, myself. I waited an hour before I left, quite frustrated.

But back to today’s protest! So a group of us traveled downtown together, taking our “Resist” signs with us. The two organizers whose home we gathered at took a very long banner that read “Mother Queens Embracing Immigrants.”

This time we got off on the West Side, on 72nd Street. We walked into Central Park, on 67th Street, and waited for others to join us. Soon we began marching with so many other groups and just plain disgusted individuals. We started out on Broadway, while another group marched down 7th Avenue. This was the first time that ever happened, so that’s why this had to be the largest-ever demonstration held in New York since demonstrating against the Dump regime took flight in 2025.

Our march lacked any celebrity speakers. So we had to entertain ourselves by chanting the old standbys like “Hey, hey, Donald J. Trump has got to go!” and “What does democracy look like? This is what democracy looks like!” or maybe just “Fuck Trump!” The demonstration in St. Paul, Minnesota, had “The Boss” singing his original song dedicated to the protests in Minneapolis called “Streets of Minneapolis,” Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, actor and activist Jane Fonda, and folk singer Joan Baez. Governor Tim Walz also delivered a rousing speech there as well. At this demonstration, the crowd was estimated at 200,000.

Since there were so many people at this No Kings event, we had trouble staying together. I went with a friend and I even thought I had lost him in the crowd at times. At one point, the crowds at Broadway went up 7th Avenue to merge with the surging crowd there and then we walked all the way down to 34th Street. I lost my friend to the cold at around 3 or so, leaving me to walk down alone by myself. I didn’t mind; I did meet up with another member of Forest Hills Indivisible and chatted with her as we walked together on 7th Avenue. Then she left to meet other friends around 45th Street.

The demonstration came to a close around 4:35 or so. It was scheduled from 1:30 to 5:30, but it ended somewhat earlier. Even though I was quite tired and slightly cold (the temperature was only in the 40s today), I felt very proud to have done the entire route.

If this were a normal regime, the stunning numbers of those protesting today would have some effect in Washington, but since this is not, I wonder if this will result in any significant change. However, it was significant that we all got out and exercised our First Amendment rights today, and we certainly did. This is really what democracy is all about!

Viva la revolucion!

The Iranian war is now entering its fourth week, with no end in sight, as our doddering president sends out mixed signals regarding what he’s going to do there, and there is no respite in surging gas prices, as it reaches an average of $3.93 a gallon, according to stats released by the Automobile Association of America. During the second week of March, gasoline spending was up more than 14 percent year over year, according to new data released from the Bank of America Institute. I myself just went to a gas station in Queens on Friday and had to spend $3.82 a gallon. I’m sure prices have gone up almost 20 cents or more in just two weeks. We can all thank the current president for this shock to our fragile economic system, as prices everywhere will begin soaring as a result of this burgeoning crisis in the Middle East.

What we certainly do know about this see-sawing of positions regarding what our strategy is in Iran, Dump’s polling numbers are falling as fast as a plummeting dead weight. His approval rating is sinking to the lowest ever, according to polling conducted by a new Daily Mail/JL Partners poll. His approval rating over this war and the soaring cost of living stands at an all-time low of 42 percent. That is down from the 44 percent approval he received on March 3, a few days into this undeclared war. This madman held a 48 approval rating as recently as late January, which seems so long ago now.

The fascist regime in place now certainly didn’t expect this war to last as long as it has, as Iran continues to retaliate against the United States and U.S. strikes. Seven servicemen have died so far in the war, along with 1,300 people in Iran. These statistics just reflect today’s numbers; unfortunately, these numbers will definitely rise as the war continues to rage.

Even people within Dump’s tight circle of fascists are beginning to abandon the Orange Turd, as seen in the resignation of Joe Kent, the former director of the National Counterterrorism Center, who resigned this week as a protest against the war, saying, “I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby,” a nod to subtle antisemitism here most assuredly.

As expected, Chump has received no support from the allies whom he disparaged constantly since in office. These former allies include the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, which have refused to intervene in the conflict.

Even one of Dump’s oldest staunchest supporters, former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, called the war “perverted” and “deranged,” branding it a betrayal of MAGA.

As Iran continues to exercise control over the Strait of Hormuz, the high gas prices have led to a rise in the cost of daily groceries as well. Still no strategy being executed here by the dimwitted president.

With this description of how things are in these here dis-United States, there’s no wonder that activists are preparing for the next No Kings rally, scheduled for this coming Saturday, March 28. Here in New York, the rally is scheduled between the hours of 1:30 and 5:30. This time, the organizers of Indivisible and other organizations behind it are expecting a crowd in the millions - possibly 10 million or more. I am proud to be one of those angry protesters.

In fact, I just participated in a sign-making workshop today here locally in my Queens neighborhood from 3 to 5. A small contingent of committed activists attended and we all dove into the activity with verve and vigor. We actually completed what we set out to do within an hour or so, and we were able to adjourn after 4.

The demonstration is now a week away. It can’t occur any sooner since so many of us are so fed up with this coarse, dimwitted, pathological lying, malignantly narcissistic, war-mongering, grifting, humorless president that we are all willing to brave cold temperatures even in March to express our enmity with him and his disastrous policies.

I’ll let you know after next week’s demonstration how it all went down. In the meantime, resist with all your might as the angry Statue of Liberty below us is doing right now.

<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" GMT

It is now March 12 and it’s 12 days into this unsanctioned, undeclared war with Iran, and many deaths later, this delusional, lying president has declared victory in the area. Telling reporters assembled at his private club in Miami this past Monday, Dump told the crowd, “We’re winning very decisively. It’s - our military is the greatest in the world, with the greatest equipment and the greatest people in the world. Nobody’s ever seen anything like it.” Here the president uses as little eloquent vocabulary as he can muster at his small fingertips and just peddles in gibberish and hyperbole. He also sounds like a five-year-old child who is awed by his many toys! But Dump’s toys is the combined might of the U.S. military here, and he’s deliberately sending service members to their death for no apparent reason other than to distract from the repercussions of the Epstein files ever getting released. That’s my humble opinion and it’s many other pundits’ views as well.

It’s already been pointed out that Dump’s rationale for bombing Iran was murky from the very start. Was the reason for invading this country have to with dismantling Iran’s nuclear program, even though we supposedly “decimated” it last June, with forcing regime change after the former Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed, or with negotiating a new peace deal? Only the addled president knows the real reason for this “excursion,” as he recently referred to it. But he won’t tell us, the American people, who deserve a detailed response from him regarding our goals for invading Iran - and, so far, haven’t gotten one.

Without clearly defined goals for the region, Dump can declare victory at any turn. Of course, it seems that most repugnicans appear ready to back up his asserted success since the pusillanimous Congress couldn’t push ahead with a War Powers Resolution Act recently, where the Senate would have voted to rein in Chump’s aggressiveness toward Iran here. This did not happen, even though mostly all Democrats were on the same page. Thus Congress has totally abandoned its standing power in deference to a madman. Isn’t that a dangerous set of circumstances?

Democrats have been the only voice of reason in condemning Grump’s war which could easily drag us into another prolonged war - think Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan - and have criticized the “peace” president for launching these attacks without seeking congressional authorization and accused the administration of lacking transparency with lawmakers.

After exiting a closed-door meeting on the war this past Tuesday, Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) said, “I don’t know what the goal is.”

Another senator, Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), told reporters on Monday that “it is very clear, whether you’re in classified briefings or not, that there is no plan on how this winds down. There’s a different set of goals articulated every single day, sometimes every single hour.”

Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut went even further, stating the reason for starting the offensive “the most incoherent, confusing rationale for war that anyone alive today has heard from an administration.”

Again, Dump has crossed the Rubicon with this war. Who knows what repercussions we will reap as this unpopular war rages on in the Middle East? In the meantime, gas prices have begun surging and there’s a large percentage of Americans polled who have announced their displeasure with this conflict.

I hate to say that this new conflagration won’t end well for this country. And we can thank Donald J. Dump for unleashing this Pandora’s box of human misery upon us all.
