Because same. </p><p>I have realized that the only way to truly fight the rising costs of groceries is to preplan our meals and buy as many &#8216;like ingredients&#8217; as possible (meaning I buy ingredients I can use and stretch for multiple meals). </p><p>Here are my plans for what we&#8217;ll be eating this Labor Day Weekend made possible by a grocery trip that totaled $100:</p>

We met about 3 years earlier, when I was pregnant with my youngest daughter. She lived about 7 minutes away from us and was known as &#8216;the lady who watches the babies&#8217; in our area. The plan, back then, was that she would watch her while I saw clients at a private practice in the city. When my coworker and friend (Jen) died of a sudden heart attack - all of &#8216;the plans&#8217; crisped away underneath my feet like scorched earth.</p>

In fact, Conor and I were deciding what our next &#8216;big project&#8217; would be for the house we purchased just four years earlier. It was our &#8216;dream' home&#8217; - on <em>the</em> street in <em>the </em>neighborhood in walking distance of <em>that </em>school. We outbid twelve other families in order to secure it. I still can&#8217;t believe it was ever ours. </p>
