They don’t cut like knives,

they melt like sugar on the tongue.

“I’m okay” when I’m not,

“You’re beautiful” to hide the wrong.

We wrap the truth in cotton,

because the bare thing bruises.

We say “it’s nothing”

when it’s everything we’re losing.

Sweet lies taste like home,

warm, soft, easy to swallow.

But too many of them,

and you forget what’s hollow.

Maybe we lie to be kind.

Maybe we lie to survive.

Maybe the sweetest lie of all

is “we’ll both be fine.”

But sugar has a cost. Too much of it, and you lose your taste for real things.

When every “I’m fine” becomes automatic, we stop checking if we’re actually fine.

When every compliment is a cushion, we stop knowing what’s true.

The danger of sweet lies isn’t that they’re cruel. It’s that they’re comfortable. They let us avoid the hard conversations that would actually set us free.

The healthiest relationships aren’t built on pretending everything is okay. They’re built on knowing which truths are necessary, even when they’re difficult to hear.

Sometimes love looks like saying the kind thing. Sometimes love looks like saying the true thing, even when it’s bitter.

Maybe the goal isn’t to make every truth sweet.

Maybe it’s to learn how to tell the truth with love,

even when it leaves a bitter taste.

It is a very interesting library.

There are books everywhere.

●The Person I Shouldn't Have Trusted.

●The Opportunity I Was Too Afraid to Take.

●The Text I Definitely Shouldn't Have Sent.

●The Red Flag I Thought Was a Christmas Decoration.

And my personal favourite:

“I Knew Something Was Wrong, But I Did It Anyway.”

You probably have a few books of your own.

Don't worry.

I'm not judging.

The funny thing about mistakes is that they rarely look like mistakes while we're making them.

At the time, they look like decisions.

They look like love.

They look like hope.

They look like “Maybe this time it'll be different.”

Sometimes they even look like the best decision we've ever made.

Until the chapter ends.

And we're sitting there at 2 a.m., staring at the ceiling, replaying every scene in our heads like we're detectives investigating our own lives.

Why did I do that?

Why didn't I listen to myself?

How did I not see it?

Why didn't I just walk away?

But maybe we're asking the wrong question.

Maybe the question isn't:

“How could I have been so stupid?”

Maybe it's:

“What is this mistake trying to teach me?”

Because perhaps mistakes aren't just things that happen to us.

Perhaps they're books.

And every book contains something.

A lesson.

A warning.

A version of ourselves we have outgrown.

Some books teach us how to choose better.

Some teach us boundaries.

Some teach us that not everyone deserves access to us.

Some teach us that rejection isn't always punishment.

And some?

Some simply teach us that we're human.

The problem is, we often spend so much time being embarrassed about the book we picked up that we forget to actually read it.

We hide the mistake.

We pretend it didn't happen.

We beat ourselves up.

We say, “I should've known.”

But you knew what you knew with the version of yourself you were at that time.

You didn't have today's wisdom yesterday.

You didn't have today's boundaries yesterday.

You didn't have today's experience yesterday.

And that's okay.

Growth is strange like that.

Sometimes you have to become the person who understands the lesson after becoming the person who needed to learn it.

So yes, visit the Library of Mistakes.

Walk through the aisles.

Look at the books.

Remember.

Learn.

But please don't live there.

You weren't meant to spend your entire life rereading your worst chapters.

Eventually, you have to close the book.

Return it to the shelf.

And walk out.

Because somewhere beyond that library is another story waiting to be written.

And this time, you get to hold the pen.

Deuteronomy 30:19

“I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse…”

Read that again.

Life and death.

Blessing and curse.

God didn’t hide the options from you.

He put them right in front of you.

Everyday with every decision

You're choosing a path

No just big choice

Even the small ones

The things you entertain

The habits you build

The voices you listen to

They're either leading you towards life or slowly pulling you away from it.

There's no middle ground

And that’s the scary part

You may not notice which direction you’re going until you’ve already gone far.

Every day, you’re walking.

The question is:

Which path are you on?

God already showed you the options.

Now the choice is yours.

Choose Life.

Choose God.

Choose Him.

It’s beautiful, but honestly… it can be tiring to wait.

You plant the seed, water it, give it sunlight, and then… nothing seems to happen.

But beneath the soil, roots are forming.

Quietly. Slowly. Where you can’t even see them.

And maybe that’s what you need to remember about yourself too.

You might be looking at someone else blooming and wondering why you’re still here, waiting.

Someone is getting the opportunity you prayed for.

Someone is growing faster.

Someone seems to have everything figured out.

But you forget that you are not the same flower.

A tulip doesn’t need to bloom like a rose.

A sunflower doesn’t need to compete with a lily.

They grow differently. They need different things. And they bloom in their own time.

So why are you measuring your growth against someone else’s?

Maybe your life feels quiet right now because your roots are growing.

Maybe this season isn’t about being seen yet.

Maybe it’s about becoming.

Keep watering yourself with good things. Keep learning. Keep praying. Keep trying. Keep showing up, even when you can’t see any evidence that it’s working.

One day, you’ll look back and realise

you weren’t stuck.

You were growing.

And when you finally bloom, I hope you remember how much patience it took to become the flower you are.

So, little flower…

Take your time.

Grow your roots.

Spread your petals.

You don't have to bloom today.

Just don't stop growing. 🌷💞

It looks almost ridiculous.

These mountain goats can scale incredibly steep, rocky surfaces in search of food and safety. Places that look impossible to us are, somehow, just another path to them.

And I kept thinking…

What if we approached our lives that way?

There are things we look at and immediately say, “I can’t do that.”

A dream that feels too big.

A season that feels too difficult.

A version of ourselves that feels too far away.

So we stand at the bottom of the mountain, staring at the height, convincing ourselves that because the whole journey looks impossible, we shouldn't take the first step.

But the ibex doesn't climb the entire mountain at once.

It finds a foothold.

Then another.

Then another.

Maybe that's what becoming looks like.

Not having the whole journey figured out.

Not knowing exactly where every step will lead.

Just finding the next foothold and trusting yourself and perhaps trusting God with the climb.

Sometimes, you're so focused on how high the mountain is that you forget to notice how far you've already climbed.

So if you're currently standing before something that feels impossible, breathe.

You don't have to conquer the entire mountain today.

Just climb.

One step.

One prayer.

One attempt.

One day at a time.

And maybe someday, you'll look back and realise that the mountain you once thought was impossible became the place where you discovered how capable you were of climbing.

There is this poem we usually recite back then when we were little...it goes ..

Twinkle Twinkle little star

How I wonder what you are? and it goes like that but

Wait

Let me rephrase It.

Twinkle Twinkle little star

Do you wonder what you are?

Have you really ever stopped to think, what you really are?

You are more than a name, more than a face,

More than the places you’ve been or the battles you’ve faced.

There’s fire in your bones,

Dreams in your chest,

A destiny calling you to rise,

Not to settle for less.

There’s a spark in you ,

A light that waits to shine from within.

You were made for more than you can see,

A treasure chest of possibility.

So rise, grow, and reach so far,

The world is waiting to see who you are.

It isn’t the banks.

It’s the graveyard.

Not because the dead are rich, but because beneath the soil are countless things that never got the chance to become.

Unwritten books.

Unsung songs.

Unstarted businesses.

Unspoken words.

Unexplored ideas.

Dreams that lived quietly in someone's heart until the person who carried them was gone.

And that thought honestly scares me.

How many ideas have we buried simply because we were afraid to begin?

How many dreams have we called “impossible” before giving them a chance?

How many times have we allowed comparison, doubt, perfectionism, or the fear of failing to convince us that waiting is safer than trying?

Maybe the tragedy isn't that we won't accomplish everything we dream of.

Maybe the tragedy is never discovering what we could have become because we were too afraid to start.

You are still here.

You still have breath in your lungs, ideas in your head, and desires in your heart.

Perhaps that's your reminder that your story isn't over.

So write the book.

Sing the song.

Start the thing.

Apply for the opportunity.

Create the content.

Say the words.

Take the first step, even if your hands are shaking.

You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin.

You just have to begin.

Because one day, when everything is said and done, I don't think the most important question will be, “How much did you own?”

Maybe it will be:

“What did you do with what you were given?”

What did you create?

Who did you love?

Whose life did you touch?

What did you leave behind?

So please, don't let the ground inherit your potential.

Live fully.

Dream boldly.

Create anyway.

And while you still have breath, leave something beautiful behind.
