Beliefs are not just thoughts; they are biophysical integrations. The apparent reluctance—or even inability—of people in adapting to a rapidly evolving new paradigm is really a biophysical rejection of a new consensus reality.

The developmental trajectory of our external environment has been accelerated by an artificial catalyst—what we call technology. In order for our psychology to track with our ontology our nervous system hardware will require an upgrade.

In evolutionary biology, there is an absolute, unforgiving law: when a species’ environment changes faster than it can adapt, that species faces extinction. Period, full stop (pun intended). If our biological hardware cannot keep pace with the impact of our technology, we are faced with an evolutionary ultimatum: we must consciously evolve our own internal environment, or face biological extinction.

This is not another spiritual or a self-help trend; it is a cold, physiological reality., we have to bypass the obsolete software of the nervous system, seize the coding terminal of our brains, and consciously engineer our nervous systems back into alignment with our environment.

What makes us unique—and uniquely endangered—is that we are the only species in planetary history that have artificially accelerated our own environment. We have engineered a hyper-complex, rapidly-morphing, artificial ecosystem that our Pleistocene-era nervous systems do not have the bandwidth to process. The result is a catastrophic, and ultimately terminal desynchronization of our biology and our environment. We are like polar bears melting the ice caps with atomic flame-throwers.

This evolutionary mismatch is literally driving us insane: our nervous-systems’ predictive processing apparatus is redlining from being inundated with error-codes. The resultant cognitive-dissonance manifests in the populace as mass anxiety, tribal polarization, and existential dread. In short, the sociological fragmentation we are seeing is a consequence of the symptoms of a species experiencing systemic nervous system failure. And, it doesn’t help that the Powers That Be actively benefit from this maladaptation. In fact, it’s diabolical; that little detail basically is the Devil himself.

Our neural-gating mechanisms are meant to filter out background noise so that we can focus on immediate survival. The brain is a lazy machine, optimized for energy efficiency. One of its optimization strategies is the use of priors (foundational beliefs, or ontological parameters) which it relies on to make predictions about the world without having to process new information.

The issue with this mechanism is its rigidity; once established, the nervous system regards these processing parameters as integral to our survival. And due to the mind’s reliance on symbolic linkage for information consolidation and processing efficiency, its predictive processing templates are distributed globally. So, for example, if a person has to sustain cognitive dissonance in order to maintain a misaligned ontological prior, any situation with corresponding symbolic architecture will be viewed through the same distorted neural aperture, and distorted so as to conform to the nervous system’s existing model.

If The Machine can install macro-priors across an entire population, then the predictive processing engines of millions of brains will generate a similar model of reality. “Consensus reality” then becomes a centralized software update running on decentralized biological hardware. Obviously, this can be—and is being—exploited 666 ways from Sunday.

The Shitstem may have accidentally created this evolutionary mismatch—but it has definitely noticed it and has long been actively weaponizing it. Social media algorithms, propaganda, and media narratives are specifically engineered to exploit the flaws and vulnerabilities of our increasingly obsolete, 200,000-year-old nervous system.

By exploiting our predictive processing loops, the system turns our very own biological survival mechanisms against us, forging from our mind a psychological cage.

The Neurobiological Pincers Movement

For those who were disinclined to read the article above, I’ll give a brief rundown Maximum Contradiction propaganda.

The system deliberately designs presidential candidates as walking contradictions—think Trump marketed as a pedophile hunter, only to be revealed as the star of the Epstein Files. Presidential candidates are perfect instruments for this strategy as they are anchored to two fundamental cognitive endpoints simultaneously: The Instinct Node (The Id)’: primal somatic drives (in this case, the primate instinct to tribalism and inclination to follow an alpha-male monkey-king), and The Conscious Attention Node (The Ego): a focal point of mass-attention.

When the brain is bombarded with violently contradictory input, especially when that information is of high existential relevance, the resulting cognitive dissonance is devastatingly destabilizing.

To resolve the agonizing dissonance between what the nervous system predicts and what it actually perceives , the Default Mode Network (DMN) is forced to construct delusional rationalizations (”He’s playing 4D chess” ). There is too much identity equity in the situation; abandoning their “lane” would mean the total collapse of the ego-architecture. Another side-effect of this technique that The Shit-stem exploits: while the subject’s lane becomes narrower and harder to escape, the definition of the lane becomes more malleable.

Because the conscious attention node is constantly forced to accept contradictions, the individual’s capacity to reason is systematically broken down. It is trained to accept that A can equal Not-A.

Once the brain accepts the glitch as fundamental ontological parameter, its guardrails are gone. The Shit-stem can now radically shift the goalposts of what any particular “lane” stands for with a single tweet from any major political figure..

An anti-war lane can easily be reoriented to support a new foreign conflict, or a free-speech lane can be morphed into a demand for censorship of the opposition. Since the machine has anchored its influence at the instinct level, and the conscious attention node, the minds of the masses will adapt to whatever new software the system uploads into their “lane”.

Maximum Contradiction Propaganda is designed to induce a state of permanent, frantic hypnosis. Hypnosis—not to be confused with “HipGnosis”, which we will get to momentarily—is a state that facilitates susceptibility to suggestibility.

For older generations, clinging to outdated paradigms isn’t just a matter of curmudgeonly stubbornness; it is a survival reflex. A Boomer's predictive engine has had 60+ years to solidify a fixed model of reality. When you tell them that they are "nodes in an information system," their nervous system literally perceives the new model as an existential threat. Their DMN is desperately trying to maintain its architecture against an informational tsunami. To accept a new ontological model is to accept that their entire lived experience has become obsolete. It is like death to the ego. When the nervous system is pushed beyond its processing capacity, it doesn’t open up to new data—it goes on the defensive.

The textbook psychological frameworks needed to decode all of this—cognitive dissonance, predictive processing, the Default Mode Network, operant conditioning—aren’t exactly top-secret classified intelligence data. It’s all pretty much common knowledge, The blueprint of the mind-cage is public information. In fact, momentarily I’m fin’a show you how to pick the lock…

Yet, millions of very intelligent, highly-educated people—including scientists, psychologists, journalists, and academics,—are apparently completely fucking oblivious to all of this. Fully equipped to understand the methods behind the madness, these clowns still remain the most fiercely compliant cogs in The Machine.

This blind spot is the ultimate, living proof of just how powerful the neural gating and predictive processing apparatus really is. It proves that intelligence is not a shield against conditioning; in fact, high intelligence often just provides the brain with more sophisticated tools for rationalizing the obviously absurd and insane.

The Weaponization of the Intellect

When a well-educated, highly-intelligent person is subjected to Maximum Contradiction Propaganda, the resultant cognitive dissonance is just as painful for them as anyone else. However, instead of rejecting the contradiction, their highly developed conscious attention node goes to work building incredibly complex, multi-layered justifications to protect their installed priors. They don’t see the matrix because they have used their hyper-developed intellect to paint a beautiful, ostensibly reasonable fresco over the bars of their mental-cage.

Highly intelligent, successful people have the most invested in the current paradigm. Their identity, status, and livelihood are deeply tied to institutional authority (degrees, corporate titles, societal respect).

For an academic or executive, admitting that the system is a predatory control mechanism would require the total demolition of their self-narrative. The Default Mode Network (DMN) protects the ego at all costs. Therefore, its neural gating mechanism aggressively filters out the obvious truth right in front of their faces, labeling it as “conspiracy” or “noise” to maintain cognitive homeostasis. They physically cannot see it because their brain perceives recognizing it as a form of social and psychological suicide.

The fact that the academic-class is, if anything, less incentivized to see the Truth than the proletariat acts as another layer of structural reinforcement for the Old Paradigm. Since many average folks don’t possess sufficient understanding of the neuroscience involved, they take the absence of recognition form academics as evidence of absence, rather than as an absence of evidence.

The Puppeteers and the Science of Control

If highly intelligent people can possess all the tools to decode the matrix and still be entirely and helplessly trapped by it, then intellect alone is not sufficient to break the spell. You cannot think, read, or argue your way into a paradigm shift. You cannot reason with a survival response.

The Shit-stem doesn’t really need to hide the manual for its control mechanisms; it knows that as long as it controls the baseline conditioning, it knows it can leave the manual out in the open. It is fully aware that a nervous system that is trapped in survival-mode and continuously bombarded with contradictions will automatically gate out the truth, no matter how smart the individual is.

"So…what the actual figgity-fucking hell are we supposed to do about it,” you might ask'?

If your conscious attention node and your instinct nodes have been weaponized against you, the only way out is to pull the plug on the whole matrix. You must use externally sourced internal environment catalysts—like psychedelics, breathwork, cognitive hygiene practices—to attenuate the DMN that is holding the contradictions together, and use sovereign operating systems (ritual magick/shamanism) to reclaim your cognitive agency from our technocrat overlords. In short: we have to artificially accelerate the evolutionary trajectory of our internal environment to keep the pace with our external environment. Psychedelics are not just a counterculture pastime anymore—they are biotechnologies for surviving an evolutionary bifurcation node.

If biological evolutionary adaptation takes generations (at minimum), and we only have years, then organic, linear adaptation is an obsolete mechanism.

We cannot wait for natural selection. We have to use extra-biological means to consciously engineer and accelerate our own adaptations. The Neurophysics of (R)evolution: Why Coherence Is Our Highest Social Duty

If human nervous systems act as nodes in an information system, then individual coherence correlates with collective coherence. In thermodynamics and information theory, coherent nodes exert a pattern-inducing influence on field entropy. They can also couple with weaker nodes by entraining—or phase-locking—with them, pulling them into greater coherence.

What this means it that achieving internal coherence directly empowers your ability to influence your environment and even society-at-large. For decades, cognitive scientists have theorized that human consciousness is emergent from cross-domain synchronization of neural subsystems. When your nervous system is coherent, the thalamus—the brain’s sensory gatekeeper—opens completely. Your auditory and visual perceptions are hyper-sharpened; background noise is muted, and your reality comes into crystal-clear focus. I had barely gotten out of the car at the hotel in Farmington, New Mexico, where I was attending a weekend-long conference—about what, exactly, I did not know-when I locked eyes with the stranger. I felt something like an electric charge surge, as if our mutual stare was a conduit for some ancient, primal energy— it felt like my eyeballs had made a weak attempt at escaping from their sockets. The man had long blonde hair and was about my height and build— he looked so much like me he could have been my twin brother.

The 13th Man: The Hawaiian Wind Whisperer

“Hey man… I haven’t seen you in like 40,000 years! C’mon… we gotta get to the ceremony!” With that, he grabbed my arm and escorted me and my girlfriend over to a nearby group of people. Our arrival formed a perfect circle of twelve. Standing just outside of this ceremonial space was a thirteenth person: a Hawaiian indigenous spiritual leader dressed head-to-toe in crimson, who introduced himself as Reynolds Kamakawiwo’ole.

The circle closed precisely as my little entourage stepped into our places, completing it. Reynolds then instructed us to harmonize with his voice, and “just let the words come.” He approached the first participant, a slender blond schoolteacher. Reynolds placed his hands around her head, not quite touching her, and produced a very low, resonant vocalization not unlike the deep, throaty chants of Tibetan monks. Simultaneously, the woman produced a much higher—and perfectly harmonized—pitch of her own. I couldn’t quite make out the words, but what emerged from the oral aperture of this woman’s utterly shocked face sounded like Hebrew

Reynolds continued around the perimeter of the circle, repeating this procedure with each person, eventually arriving at my position. I awkwardly mumbled something about not knowing how to sing harmony. In truth, I was filled with a sense of dread and uncertainty that, in retrospect, seems completely excessive and dramatic for the context. Completely ignoring my protest, he placed his hands around my head, and engulfed my being in a deep, rich, harmonic field. A series of Hebrew letters flowed involuntarily out of my mouth. I instantly recognized the sequence as the Tetragrammaton (יהוה), but with a fifth letter, shin, inserted in the center, resulting in Yod-Heh-Shin-Vav-Heh (יהשוה).

The Tetragrammaton is the ancient glyph of the holy, unspeakable name of the god of the Jews. Qabbalistic tradition holds that if one were to speak The Name with perfect, correct pronunciation, the sheer resonant power would destroy the universe. The sound that created it, would destroy it. I’ve often wondered if this isn’t a case of the ancient Israelites intuiting an advanced concept like phase cancellation or pattern-antipattern wave interactions, and subsequently mythologizing the insight. Incidentally, some linguistic scholars even associate this Bronze Age superstition with our modern designation of four-letter words as “curse words.”

In stark contrast to its day-job concealing the Holy Name from the profane, Western occult traditions picked up that aura of potency and flipped the script: practitioners invoke YHVH by vocalizations termed vibrations, and permuting it through symbolic reconfigurations, using it like a master key for accessing the architecture of reality. For the Western esotericist it is an equation—a symbolic engine composed of letters, numbers, sounds, elements, levels of consciousness/existence, and even mythical archetypes—that encodes how the One unfolds into the many. And, as it turns out, in the hands of a competent Qabbalist, it does some pretty spooky shit.

The four letters of the Tetragrammaton—YHVH—each represent one of the four classical elements. The letter shin (sh,ש) symbolizes “spiritual fire,” or the divine spark. So, if we place the letter shin in the center of YHVH, we get YHShVH—pronounced “Yeheshua”. meaning “savior” or liberator. This is interpreted as spirit, or the divine presence descends into matter, animating, and ultimately, redeeming it. It is a remarkable qabbalistic “coincidence.” It is equally remarkable that the pentagram, which shares this exact elemental-to-spirit symbolism across dozens of traditions, is built entirely upon the geometry of the Divine Proportion, or phi (ϕ). The way that phi recursively nests and balances inside the five-pointed star mirrors this exact mystical thesis: a fifth, ordering principle correcting, organizing, and harmonizing a chaotic elemental field.

The ancient Israelites are not alone in their belief that language is literally the architecture of the cosmos. The Shuar people of the Ecuadorian Amazon, Islamic mystics and many other cultures regard their language as a sort of cosmic semiotics— the universe’s own operating syntax, and even as its fundamental architectural substrate. For these cultures, the power of language correlates to the extent that they resonate with or reflect that deeper code.

Semiotic Polycodes: Language as Cosmic Architecture

For the Qabbalist mystic, Hebrew operates as a holographic architectonic polycode. Each grapheme is a polyvalent symbolic stack—Aleph (א) for example, although usually silent, is an “a” sound, has a value of “1”, and its pictogram is that of an ox-head. It also represents the unity of God, and a number of related concepts. Spelled in full (Aleph-Lamed-Pe, אלף) , Aleph adds to 111, which represents alignment with a higher divine will. Visually, the grapheme is composed of two Yods and a diagonal Vav, which adds to 26, the number of Tetragrammaton, or Jehovah. Qabbalists sight the fact that the Hebrew language operates coherently across symbolic, linguistic, and mathematical layers as proof that it is not of human origin.

In the Book of Genesis God speaks the Universe into existence; later mystical texts like the Sefer Yetzirah systematized this into a complex theory where letter permutations form the physical building blocks of creation. Early Christian theology inherited this through the Gospel of John: “In the beginning was the Word.” The Logos is framed as a cosmic blueprint and active organizing principle—a semantic resonance that organizes physical reality. Through this same esoteric lens, certain occultists even reckon Lucifer—the “Light Bearer”—as an early allegorical description of the electromagnetic wave.

Indian traditions: Sanskrit as cosmic code

In India, Sanskrit is regarded as a sacred, primordial, and structurally “perfect” language whose phonetic structures mirror the cosmic code. Sanskrit poets even deliberately structured their verses to follow the Fibonacci sequence—1400 years before Leonardo Fibonacci published Liber Abaci In Vedic ritual theory, correctly articulated mantras are operations whose execution acts directly on the code that makes up the fabric of reality; specific sound patterns align dynamically with deities, elements, and cosmological strata, treating speech as an interface for the subtle fields that uphold “Rta”—the cosmic order.

Islamic and Sufi letter cosmology

In Islamic mysticism, specifically ‘ilm al‑ḥurūf (the science of letters), Arabic characters and Qur’anic language are seen as primordial forms through which God discloses and structures the world. Some Sufi and esoteric currents treat each letter as a cosmological principle and view sacred-geometric calligraphy as a means of imbuing physical spaces or objects—such as mosques or talisman—with divinity. For the Sufi mystic, language is both blueprint and energy-interface: writing, reciting, and contemplation of letters is a method for re-tuning the microcosm (human) to the macrocosm (universe).

East Asian traditions: Trigrams=Cosmic Pattern

In Taoist cosmology, the Eight Trigrams (Bā Guà) are symbolic templates of fundamental aspects of reality, mapping out the dynamic interplay of Yin and Yang. Each trigram consists of three lines, either unbroken (Yang) or broken (Yin), representing universal energies, natural elements, and stages of existence that shape all matter and phenomena. The Taijitu (yin‑yang) and trigram combinations are treated as the syntax of the Tao’s unfolding. Chinese characters encode natural, elemental, and processual imagery; the characters themselves are viewed as crystallized cosmological insights, making the script a sort of visible ontology.

Geometry, Glyphs, and the Language of the Cosmos

Many ancient cultures integrated this “language-as-architecture” concept into geometry, sacred art, and complex glyphs. In Ancient Egypt, hieroglyphs weren’t just conceptual symbols, but almost interdimensional gateways. Each glyph acted as a bridge linking the physical and divine realms—equivalent to concept manifesting as form. Temples and pyramids were designed to reflect the architectural syntax of the cosmos, such as the golden ratio, and precisely oriented according in strategic astrological alignments, turning stone monoliths into symbolic engines.

In Tibetan Buddhism, mandalas function as sophisticated diagrams of the universe—highly sophisticated visual language where each symbol, placement of every grain of sand, and fragment of script actively participates in cosmogenesis and the transformation of consciousness.

In Mesoamerican traditions, Mayan and Aztec glyphs, calendars, and aligned architecture encoded vast time cycles and cosmological structures, operating as a multi-layered language whose proper ritual activation synchronized human activity with cosmic time. The Celtic and Druidic traditions used the Ogham script and intricate knotwork as symbolic languages of relationship, recursion, and eternity, treating these recurring patterns as living diagrams of the world’s interwoven structure.

In all of these traditions, “language” is expanded to include number, geometry, and symbol as a unified, semiotic-mathematical architecture of the cosmos. The Qabbalistic idea—that YHVH, via its letters, contextual worlds, and gematria, underlies and patterns all of creation—is mirrored in the structural layout of modern physics: a relatively small, structured information alphabet of local Hilbert spaces, qubits, and gauge degrees of freedom underlies all emergent fields, forces, and spacetime, with gravity and light acting as a thermodynamic, informational projector. In fact, this esoteric framework and modern physics are starting to look like a stellar example of an occult correspondence.

Indigenous Shamanic Linguistic Cosmologies: Speech and Resonance as World-building Tech

Shamanic traditions treat ceremonial songs as a sort of software access-code—a medium through which resonant coupling can be established with specific entities and energies. The shaman’s work is to learn to manipulate this code with resonance in order to actively reweave reality, heal, influence the weather, and to elicit guidance from allied spiritual forces.

These linguistic ontologies blur the distinction between “language” and “physics,” framing sound, symbol, and geometry as different modalities of the same underlying informational architecture. And so when we have a symbolic system such as the Tetragrammaton that operates on a semiotic poly-code like Hebrew we can plug any set of correspondences into their appropriate elemental slot, and just as the four elements generate the world, four letters constitute the genetic code, or the four fundamental forces of physics facilitate material existence—any number of other things can be generated. For the magician, these will generally be Qabbalistic insights, energies, or states of consciousness. For The Great Magician, the things generated are planets, moms, nuclear bombs, and orange blossoms.

The Tetragrammaton is a microcosmic model of the universe’s most fundamental generative mechanism. What the ancients called “virtues” and what we might call “essences” are geometric, resonant patterns combined in an infinitude of different juxtapositions. The phrase “All that is, is metaphor” is perhaps the cleanest articulation of this concept.

In modern academic disciplines—ranging from genetics and cognitive neuroscience to advanced systems biology—this process is referred to as compositional recombinatorial differentiation. This is the vital cognitive, biological, and mathematical process by which complex systems are broken down to their individual components, and recombined to generate new concepts, traits, or forms.

My suggestion is that it is this exact mechanism, operating on a fractal scale, that is the fundamental generative process of the cosmos. It shows up across scales and domains because the universe is a holographic information system. At this point, we could easily dive down the rabbit hole of Calabi-Yau manifolds, d-branes, and mirror symmetry—and in future articles, we will. For now, it is enough to note that cutting-edge mathematical research, such as that of the Langlands program, points directly to potential mechanisms that could facilitate this holographic recombination as a primary cosmological generative mechanism.

Pythagoras famously asserted that number is the architecture of the cosmos—that simple mathematical ratios generate resonant intervals, which combine to form geometric structures, ultimately yielding the patterned order of the heavens. In Qabbalah, the four letters of the Tetragrammaton play that identical role: a four-symbol code mapped to four elemental frequencies, acting as the informational substrate of a holographic projector.

Constructive Interference and the Coagulation of the 10,000 Things

To understand how this projection transitions from resonance into meat and marbles, we will look—predictably— to the physics of holography. A hologram is created by the intersection of wave patterns. When the holographic projector of the Tetragrammaton—which we could call Calabi-Yau manifolds and branes if you prefer— projects its elemental frequencies through one of its “four worlds”, or contextual filters, their waveforms overlap. Where the crests of the waves intersect, constructive interference occurs.

This is the mechanism that facilitates materialization: constructive interference amplifies the resonant energy at specific geometric coordinates, phase-locking energy, yielding localized density. Form, therefore, is a stable, multi-dimensional interference pattern born at the crossroads where the concepts of the Universal Mind—or if you prefer, the aspects of deity— collide and coagulate, generating the “10,000 things”.

DNA is the biochemical instantiation of this principle: four “letters” (A, T, G, C) whose sequences encode the entire diversity of terrestrial life. In modern mathematics, the Langlands program has produced a framework that looks like hyper‑refined Pythagoreanism, asserting deep correspondences between “arithmetic codes” (Galois representations, primes) and “harmonic/geometric codes” (automorphic forms, spectra on spaces).

Across every single one of these domains, a universal, three-tiered architecture emerges:

• A small, discrete code alphabet, usually consisting of four signifiers (numbers, letters, bases).

• A layer of resonance / correspondence (ratios, gematria, spectra, entanglement structures).

• An emergent layer of form (geometries, organisms)

This cross-cultural, cross-domain framework suggests that ancient occult correspondences are not just primitive superstitions, but possibly represent an intuitive recognition of a holographic universe.

The office was sterile, bleak—as if an interior decorator suffering from pathological blandness, inspired by a nouveau vapidisme esthétique, had curated the space. Even as a seven-year-old I intuitively recognized the aesthetic as a desperate attempt to flatten a world that terrified L'architecte d'ambiance of this clinical hell-hole. That impression would soon prove remarkably astute…if not prescient.

The child-therapist was a very young, African-American woman with short, crimped, Tracy Chapman-style hair, and the dry, carefully controlled mannerisms of someone that is trying too hard to be professional. She also had the body language of a person that was completely uncertain of themselves, and the eyes of a frightened puppy. As a deeply troubled but profoundly gifted young neurodivergent menace-who at 7 or 8 already had the intellectual capacity of a college freshman—I knew the moment I saw her that she was fucking doomed—I was going to eat this poor woman alive. And, looking back, I think she knew it immediately as well. After just two or three sessions, she refused to see me again.

Her reasoning?

She was afraid for her own mental health.

As an adult looking back, I can deduce that the therapist probably had little professional experience—if she appeared young to me then, she was likely barely out of college. What is certain is that she managed to make some pretty egregious errors in the short time we interacted. My initial assessment that I was going to dance circles around this girl—whom I obviously viewed as an adversary from the moment I heard about the appointment—proved true to an embarrassingly obvious degree. After only a few visits, she asked my mother to step into the office with us for a talk.

‘I can’t see Harley anymore,’ she confessed. ‘He is too intelligent for therapy to have any meaningful impact. It would constitute a breach of ethics for me to waste anymore of your time and money. And, honestly…I wouldn’t be surprised if I ended up on the couch.’

My mother dropped her head, her mouth slightly agape, her cheeks reddening. She took a brief moment to process this, and then looked up at the therapist. ‘I know… I mean... I get it… I’m fucking terrified of him, too.’ I had been dreading the laceration I expected to endure on the long ride home, so I was surprised—and profoundly relieved—when my mother simply drove the entire way in silence.

A freshly licensed therapist in 1989 would have received essentially zero training on gifted-children as a distinct clinical population. The idea that a highly intelligent child could invert the therapeutic dynamic, destabilize the therapist’s competency framework, and undermine any possibility of maintaining a productive working alliance was definitely not in any training manual that she would have read.

Still—pathologizing the intelligence of a child who is already showing signs of suicidal ideation and a capacity for violence—and telling him that he was beyond help —was crazy work. Whether due to institutional inadequacies or personal incompetence is, in the end, irrelevant—the what doesn’t care about the why. To this day, I have never seen another therapist.

At home, the conditions fueling the trauma only escalated over the next ten years. The pressure came from everywhere: I was poor in a wealthy area, my neighborhood was dangerous, and my parents were both mentally ill. This cornucopia of conflagrations wreaked havoc on my nervous system and destabilized my sense of self—eventually coagulating into a constellation of comorbidities that covered most of the diagnostic map.

Have I mentioned that I’m on the spectrum? So, yeah…there’s that, also.

Pathologizing the Outlier: Gifted Misdiagnosis and Asynchronous Development

In a sense, I’m grateful for this therapist’s rejection. Gifted children are at elevated risk of misdiagnosis because their psychological profiles superficially suggest a number of pathological presentations:

• Intense sensitivity and over-excitabilities (Dabrowski’s concept) can look like anxiety disorders or mood dysregulation (6)

• Asynchronous development (advanced cognition, lagging social-emotional maturity) can resemble ADHD (7)

• Rapid, non-linear thinking and boredom in under-stimulating environments can look like inattention or oppositional behavior (7)

• Existential preoccupation at young ages can be mistaken for depression or thought disorder (8)

The diagnostic error typically flows from a clinician applying population-level norms to an outlier profile. What looks like dysfunction may actually be aptitude — the drive that fuels the development of exceptional capability is often perceived as dysregulation. (1)

Add trauma and a hostile environment to a poorly understood, complex cognitive profile, and the picture gets pretty messy.

On the surface, a profoundly gifted, deeply distressed child presents like a walking diagnostic checklist. They are restless in class because the environment is under-stimulating, and inattentive because they find the content unbearably shallow. They are oppositional because they see through everything: the adults (and the society-at-large) around them are constantly lying and contradicting themselves. And, in many cases, emotionally volatile because the home environment is a hellscape.

The DSM doesn’t have a code for “sees the whole system too clearly.” What it does have is codes for ADHD, mood disorders, and oppositional behavior. The more intense and complex the presentation, the more diagnostic check-boxes are marked.

The risk to the child reaches far beyond just misdiagnosis: the very capacities that represent your greatest assets—pattern recognition, intolerance for bullshit, refusal to submit to incoherent authority—are the first things targeted for “treatment.”

My therapist may not have been wrong that I was beyond the reach of therapy. Gifted children often report that they have already thought through everything the therapist presents (2). This may sound like arrogance—but in reality it is the result of a mismatch of processing speed and depth. The therapeutic model assumes the therapist is ahead of the client, and therefore capable of offering insights the client hasn’t the navigational tools to self-access.

This tracks 100% with my own experience—and not just in therapy. On the occasions that friends or school counselors would attempt to offer advice or counsel, it was old news to me, without fail. This of course increases the feelings of alienation, and reinforces the belief that no one can help you.

Over-Intellectualization vs. Metacognition: Deconstructing Negative Countertransference

Speaking of the devil, this advanced metacognitive ability is often mischaracterized as intellectualization—a defense mechanism that consists of processing emotional experience through abstract analysis— another instance of pathologization of a neurodivergent gift. The consequence of intellectualization is that insight is confused with embodiment.

For highly-intelligent individuals, however, analytical processing often isn’t avoiding emotion—it’s actually how they access and process emotion. Non-linear, metaphor-rich, cross-domain thinking is their emotional language. When a therapist tries to slow that down and convert it to simplified feeling-language, they aren’t breaking through a defense mechanism—they’re attempting to obstruct a fundamental processing modality. The experience of therapy itself becomes re-traumatizing (5), potentially to the extent of destabilizing the neurodivergent person’s identity in the worst way—by pathologizing their gifts.

Research documents that therapists working with clients they perceive as highly intelligent frequently develop negative countertransference—feelings of competitiveness, inadequacy, or envy that interfere with the therapeutic working alliance (3). Some respond with hostility, labeling the client’s self-awareness as narcissism or their complexity as resistance (4).

My therapist was likely experiencing exactly this—and was honest enough (or reckless enough) to say it out loud. Most therapists that encounter this dynamic manage it more covertly, which is ultimately far more destructive than discontinuation.

The Epistemological Gap: Propositional Knowledge vs. Tacit Clinical Insight

Our narrative has now led us to one of the central epistemological fault lines in the healing professions: the gap between propositional knowledge (what you can learn from textbooks and clinical training) and tacit knowledge (what accrues through lived experience and cannot be effectively articulated or transmitted didactically). Philosopher Michael Polanyi called this the irreducible dimension of all genuine expertise — that which cannot be codified, only cultivated (Polanyi, The Tacit Dimension, 1966; Personal Knowledge, 1958). Succinctly: clinical efficacy is fundamentally inadequate when not informed by tacit knowing, and formal training alone is insufficient, especially in the case of complex disorders.

The cognitive gap that undermined the working relationship of my therapist and me was a microcosmic reflection of an institutional-scale problem. Academics found themselves in the position of a backwoods farmer trying to reverse engineer a UFO that had just crashed his cornfield. And, when information-layer nervous system mediation failed, doctors did what doctors always do: they targeted the chemical layer. They reached for the medicine cabinet, and commenced to passing out copious quantities of drugs—to children.

The Ritalin Years: Poly-Pharmacology and the Youth Mental Health Crisis

It was less than midway through elementary school that I became aware that an awful lot of my classmates were taking meds—mostly Ritalin for ADHD. By the time I had reached junior high, many of my peers had graduated from methylphenidate to Adderall, benzodiazepines, and SSRIs.

By the tenth grade it seemed like every teenage girl I knew was on a poly-pharmacological regimen that would have rivaled Jerry Garcia’s drug intake. This was partly a result of the fact that these drugs can modulate symptoms, as well as cause side effects that present as newly emerging comorbidities (9). The drugs precipitated the necessity for more drugs. It would be nearly two decades before the side effects of these drugs—ranging from growth suppression and cardiovascular issues for Adderall (10), to increased suicide risk, aggression, and criminality for SSRIs (11), topped by irreversible brain-shrinkage, movement disorders (20-30% of users, even at low doses, and for brief periods), and mitochondrial and oxidative stress effects throughout the body for anti-psychotics (12)—would even begin to be metabolized by the mainstream.

Given my symptom cluster—ADHD, depression, suicidality (including actual attempts, the first of which occurred in 5th grade), and numerous assaults—had I remained in therapy I would have almost certainly been prescribed a stimulant–SSRI cocktail, maybe with an anti-psychotic thrown in for good measure.

The same traits that made me a nightmare for that poor, young therapist—and for a lot of people afterward—are the ones that eventually allowed me to pull myself up: extreme pattern recognition, obsessive analysis and synthesis, a nervous system that refused to participate in collective delusions, and a kind of principled noncompliance that was as non-negotiable as gravity. In the late‑twentieth‑century medical establishment and education system, none of those attributes were regarded as assets. They were symptoms: hyper‑vigilance, cognitive distortions, and emotional dysregulation.

One might argue that I may have avoided some jail time, a prison sentence, and a whole lot of headache if I had submitted to conventional treatments. Maybe, but I would have to point to the fact that my schoolmates who were placed on Ritalin in third grade—rather than being “cured” and moving on with their lives—were usually just prescribed progressively stronger drugs as they grew older, often well into adulthood. Despite all this medicating, youth mental health outcomes have gotten markedly worse, not better:

• Severe anxiety and depressive symptoms in adolescents have surged over the past two decades; severe depression in US youth rose by up to 145% in some datasets (13).

• In recent US data, about 40% of high school students report persistent sadness or hopelessness, ~18–20% report depression, and around 10% have attempted suicide in the past year (14).

• Mental health authorities have declared a “youth mental health crisis” with mental illness now a leading burden on public health in under‑25s (15).

This crisis is the predictable consequence of a specific relational failure: a generation of parents with elevated narcissistic and hypersensitive traits raising children in authoritarian, unstable, or emotionally vacant homes (16). The calculus is brutally simple: the more unwell and self-absorbed the adults, the more likely the children are to receive a chemical solution instead of a relational one (17). It is a modern instantiation of the Old Testament concept of children suffering for the sins of the father. Parents with untreated narcissistic wounds have spent decades over-medicating their offspring, in an attempt to tranquilize their own unintegrated shadows. The pill is the parent's peace of mind, purchased at the expense of the child's cognitive sovereignty.

And so I have my doubts about whether conventional treatments would have done anything more than lobotomize my gifted brain in exchange for temporarily bandaging my festering wounds. My life hasn’t been easy—it still isn’t—but it has been extraordinary, magical, and incredibly fulfilling. I see things that are invisible to damn near everyone. Many of the intuitive epiphanies that bubbled up from my subconscious starting in childhood (resulting in scorn and ridicule from neurotypical peers and adults on the occasions that I would dare share them) have proved to be actual anticipations of scientific discoveries.

I’ve traveled the world, living life on my own terms—I spent years living in the Rocky Mountains digging for gems among the peaks in the high-country, exploring the desert Southwest, living on the West Coast as an outlaw pot farmer and rock musician, and spending years deep in the Amazon rainforest studying ayahuasca with indigenous groups. In all of those years I suffered the indignity of conventional employment for a total of four years. I am now forty-seven years old, and I have never been homeless, nor missed a single meal.

Those of us who dodged the medication pipeline weren’t the compliant ones. We were the ones that scared the system so badly that it spat us back out. I have always viewed this more like a kind of accidental protection—if not divine intervention than a systemic failure. I’m not saying that I didn’t need help—but sure as shit not the help that was available to me.

If I had the choice of trading my “gifts” for “normalcy,” I would choose to relive all of the suffering and chaos over again in a heartbeat.

The current mainstream pathology paradigm explicitly frames deviation from cognitive or behavioral norms as mental-illness—something to be corrected so that outliers can be made to conform to social structures (18).

Life is strange, and getting stranger.

A billionaire U.S. president openly stating in an interview that he ‘loves the inflation.” Reading between the lines just a bit, what he was actually saying to the struggling American population was: ‘The ultra-rich like myself are making crazy money off of your suffering., you degenerate cockroaches” Perhaps he is unaware that inflation has been outed as decoy-causation and rebranded by his victims as “greedflation,” and so he assumed that people wouldn’t grok his meaning. Still…mindblowingly fucking tone-deaf. But then, I guess when the whole world has seen overwhelming evidence that you’re a serial pedo and most of them responded by acting like they didn’t, you probably feel like you can get away with wtf ever.

Speaking of tone deaf, Ivanka Trump shared during a recent interview that her husband, Jared Kushner, is spearheading development of an elite island resort off the coast of Albania. Albanians are not happy about this project, which is being referred to as “The New Epstein Island.’ Kushner is in fact associated with Epstein in The Files. Despite the absence of explicit accusations of sexual misconduct, the fact that he happened to choose a country where the age of consent is only 14 for his resort stands out. But hey…if the cap fit, let ‘im wear it.

While We’re at it….Might as Well Bring Back Slavery

In other news, due to a lack of cheap immigrant labor, Big Ag has started “leasing” prisoners from state and private prisons. Forced labor is nothing new to the U.S. prison system—what has changed is context. Until recently, forced prison-labor was at least framed as a public revenue source; the money was to be used to pay inmate related expenses, and any additional revenue committed to other public resource allocations. Privately-owned prisons leasing human beings for private profit is a completely different whole-ass bag of dicks. Incentivizing prisons to maximize their headcount could result in the dismantling of constitutional rights, paramilitary police round-ups. a sudden proliferation of concentration camps, and an acceleration of the developing surveillance state. Would hate to see any of that happen…oh, wait…shit!

It’s worth mentioning that we have documented evidence of human rights violations in the U.S. tied to prison labor. As Attorney General for the State of California, Kamala Harris’ office argued against prison population reduction legislation, on the grounds that inmates were a valuable labor resource. Bear in mind that the proposed legislation would have released only non-violent, short-term offenders.

The overcrowding was so severe, and the conditions so unsanitary that diseases were proliferating out of control. Inmates—some of whom were nonviolent short-timers— were dying in droves. The situation was so dire that the Supreme Court eventually intervened, ruling that California prisons were so bad that they violated inmates 8th Amendment rights—specifically cruel and unusual punishment—and that there were documented, preventable deaths as a result of over-crowding. AG Harris refused to comply with the Supreme Courts injunction for several years. During this period, inmates were dying from unsanitary conditions at the rate of at least one per week. Eventually after multiple rulings from a three-judge panel, Harris’ was forced into submission.

In 2014, years after the Supreme Court ruling, lawyers from her office were still arguing against broader early‑release credits and explicitly cited the need to preserve cheap prison labor, including fire camps and low‑paid community work crews. Harris knew that short-term, non-violent inmates were dying—that the situation was so bad that the highest court in the land had attempted an intervention—and still she not only disregarded a Supreme Court ruling, but also actively and illegally kept inmates incarcerated beyond their release dates. When confronted about this situation during her campaign for President, she pretended that she wasn’t aware of any of it while the situation was ongoing, and was horrified when she was informed about it. I guess it was her secretary that made the call to ignore the Supreme Court order…or maybe the janitor.

The last indignity suffered by the American people on our agenda today comes to us from the tech industry. One widely cited study by Orgvue (an organizational design platform) found that about 4 in 10 businesses had shed staff due to AI-automation, and 55% of those leaders later said the layoffs were a mistake. Many of these companies have sought to rehire their employees. Coldly and callously disregarding human-beings for your bottom line, and then expecting them to return with your companies best interest in mind is crazy work—fucking psychotic, even.

When companies layoffs, they aren’t just lowering overhead; they’re destroying trust, institutional memory/coherence, and tacit knowledge that their own systems depend on. These “boomerang hires” come back with a completely different disposition; not only are they less invested, the resentment—coupled with job-insecurity driven fear—presents an increased security risk for the employers.

What we are experiencing here is institutional psychopathy. It is a mindset where prisoners can be kept in deadly conditions in the interest of cheap labor, tens of thousands can be fired because of an AI press release and then expected to dutifully slink back to work when management determines that it made a miscalculation. It is the behavior of a psychopath in a systemic modality: it will burn through people, destroy trust, and even kill—all without remorse—and then act confused when nobody wants to bleed for it anymore.

Learned Helplessness: The Anti-(R)evolution Solution

President Trump bragging to YOU about how badly he’s fucking YOU financially. Another elite, tied to Epstein List All-stars, buying another island in the Mediterranean Sea—in a country where the age of consent is 14. The default assumption was that we had evolved beyond this sort of hysteria; it had only happened due to the ignorance of “The People”, not because of some nefarious social engineering agenda, right?

Looking back at the bemusement I felt contemplating those naive muggles of yesteryear provokes a sharply painful pang of irony: during the McCarthy era, 13% of Americans self-censored under threat of imprisonment. Following September 11, 2001, the USA PATRIOT Act was passed just 45 days later—342 pages of totalitarian legislation that most members of Congress admitted they didn’t bother to read before signing into law. Framed as necessary for “protecting freedom from terrorism,” it authorized warrantless surveillance of Americans, indefinite detention without due process, secret National Security Letters that bypassed the need for court orders, and unconstitutional ‘sneak and peek’ searches. The Fourth Amendment—a cornerstone of American freedom was functionally gutted—once again, in the name of “freedom.”

The pattern continued with Iraq. Americans were told that we needed to invade Iraq because they had weapons of mass destruction, and were therefor—you guessed it: a threat to American freedom. Today, the ‘alien enemy’ threatening American freedom is—with perfect irony—illegal aliens, justifying border militarization, mass surveillance, and indefinite detention…in freedom’s name, of course.

This projection/strategic-inversion protocol is dispersed throughout the control matrix —from policy initiatives to institutional narratives to media. But the density and concentration of these engineering elements is calibrated according to position in the attention hierarchy. Obama was positioned as the anti-war moral alternative to Bush while expanding drone warfare to seven countries. After being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009, he executed 542 drone strikes killing an estimated 3,797 people including 324 civilians—ten times more strikes than Bush. Obama authorized the assassination of American citizens without trial, and ordered the bombing of a Doctors Without Borders hospital—earning him the distinction of being the only Nobel Peace Prize laureate to bomb another Nobel Peace Prize winner. Obama himself reportedly told senior aides: “Turns out I’m really good at killing people. Didn’t know that was gonna be a strong suit of mine [3]”. This pattern serves multiple strategic purposes:

1. Reality Processing Breakdown: When populations accept obvious contradictions, they lose capacity for logical analysis. If Biden can be anti-racist while eulogizing KKK members, if Trump can fight pedophiles while being Epstein’s best friend, if Harris can represent reform while blocking exonerations—then words mean nothing and evidence doesn’t matter.

2. Learned Helplessness: Confronting contradictions this blatant and being told you’re crazy for noticing them creates psychological paralysis. People either accept the contradiction (breaking their reasoning), reject it and become “conspiracy theorists” (social isolation), or disengage entirely (political apathy). All three outcomes neutralize resistance.

3. Tribal Override of Evidence: The contradictions are so extreme that accepting them requires tribal loyalty to override observable reality. Those who can hold these contradictions have demonstrated complete epistemic surrender to the tribe. They’ve proven they’ll believe anything authority tells them regardless of evidence.

4. Moral Inversion Training: Progressives defending a segregationist-eulogizing crime bill architect. Conservatives defending an Epstein associate. Criminal justice advocates defending a prosecutor who hid evidence. Each group learns their principles are negotiable when tribal identity is threatened. Populations engineered for consent rather than principle become infinitely manipulable.

Why Maximum Contradiction?

Choosing maximally contradictory candidates isn't a matter of incompetence—it's about conditioning populations to abandon reason, making all subsequent manipulation (gun control, value malleability, authority worship) easier because logical consistency has already been destroyed.

Moderate contradictions allow people to rationalize (”everyone makes mistakes,” “people change,” “nuanced positions”). Maximum contradictions force a complete epistemic break—you either surrender your reasoning capacity or reject the entire system. This candidate contradiction technique serves a deeper purpose than loyalty testing: it manufactures mutual threat perception through provocative selective perception. This creates self-reinforcing partisan division where both sides are factually correct about their opponents while remaining blind to their own puppets contradictions due to identity-protective neural-filtering mechanisms. papers.ssrn

Moderate hypocrisy (”flawed but trying”) allows people to maintain some principle-based reasoning. Maximum inversion forces complete surrender:

• You can’t defend Obama’s drone record on anti-war principles—you must abandon anti-war principles

• You can’t defend Clinton on feminist principles—you must abandon feminist principles

• You can’t defend Trump on anti-corruption principles—you must abandon anti-corruption principles

Each defense requires principle abandonment, training populations to value tribe over truth. This creates identity malleability—values will flip on command because they were never anything more than team colors.

This systematic inversion serves multiple functions:

1. Epistemic Destruction at Scale: When every major figure embodies the opposite of what they represent, populations lose the ability to map symbols to reality. Words become completely detached from meaning. “Anti-war” means drone strikes. “feminist” means sexual predator. “reform” means hiding evidence.

2. Demoralization: Those who notice the contradcitions experience profound demoralization. If the “good guys” are perfectly inverted from their stated values, resistance is futile. This foments learned helplessness, and apathy—both of which are are antithetical to revolutionary fervor.

3. Selection for Compromise: Candidates with maximum contradictions in their character also tend to have skeletons in their closets—making them maximally controllable. They’re vulnerable to exposure, dependent on institutional protection, and will are unlikely to challenge power in cases where a person with actual principles might resist elite directives. In other words, presidential candidates are deliberately chosen according to whoever is the biggest pieces of shit that “They” can find floating in their pool.

4. Loyalty Testing: Getting partisans to defend these inversions tests and reinforces tribal loyalty over principle. If you’ll defend Obama’s drone war as peacekeeping, Clinton as feminist, Trump as anti-pedophile—you’ve proven you’re epistemically captured. You’ll believe anything your tribe requires.

Making populations accept that Biden fights racism (while eulogizing KKK leaders), Trump fights pedophilia (while being a central figure in the Epstein Files), Harris fights prosecutorial abuse (while committing it) grooms the population for submission to power not just regardless of contradiction—but because of it.

The Dual-Engine Architecture: Triangulating Conscious Attention, Instinct and Influence

Presidential candidates function as bidirectional anchor points that create a sort of loop between two layers of neural processing: conscious attention at the top, and instinct below. Once that loop is established, The Machine frontloads maximum contradiction into it. Branding and behavior violently collide: supposed saviors of freedom erode civil liberties, anti‑corruption crusaders preside over graft, “law and order” candidates are flagrantly criminal.

Elections determine survival context: high emotional stakes demand your conscious attention, and high existential stakes—plus the primacy of hierarchical/tribal primate instincts—place elections at the apex of the nervous system’s organizational hierarchy. In other words: because the focal point is so fundamental—it occupies a position of such high system relevance—that the protocol the nervous system uses to manage the cognitive dissonance is applied globally. Over repeated cycles, the way the brain resolves these high‑stakes prediction errors—how it justifies, filters, and defends around a candidate—does not remain confined to “politics”; it sets precedents that the nervous system generalizes—literally shaping your perception across domains.

Neural Filtering: You See Only What Your Nervous System Expects

Neural filtering is essential to maintaining the illusion. When the nervous system’s generative models are threatened by dissonance, it acts like a custom content‑filter for—in this case—your tribal identity. You remember information that is consistent with your nervous systems expectations and dismiss or literally fail to notice information that contradicts it. Each camp only sees what matches its expectations: its own candidate’s contradictions get filtered out or rationalized away, while the other side’s contradictions appear blindingly obvious, insane—even unforgivable. And, all of this neural filtering occurs before conscious processing.

Candidates as Interface Nodes

From the Machine’s perspective, the candidate is an interface that is used to hack your nervous system: an engineered node positioned where informational density concentrates—system relevance, emotional charge, repetition, and tribal identification all converge. Through that node, it can connect to instinct (fear, rage, loyalty, submission) and conscious awareness (values, ideals, “facts”)and tie them together into a single self‑reinforcing neural circuit. The apex (conscious-processing) doesn’t question the base (instinct, neural-filtering); it works full‑time as a spin‑doctor defending what the base has already decided.

What later became “triangulation” in surveying and navigation—the determination of a position by measuring angles between three reference points—was the mathematical formalization of something much older. Centuries earlier certain esoteric traditions had discovered that three‑point geometrical configurations can be deployed as a containment technology. The triangle used to constrain demons is not a cartoon superstition; it is a recognition that when you define three fixed points, you create a bounded solution space. Within that space, movement is constrained, position is over‑determined, and escape is structurally impossible.

Modern propaganda applies this triangulation architecture to the psyche. Your evolutionary instinct, the candidate as hyper‑salient stimulus, and a target psychological state are treated as the three corners of a behavioral triangle. Once those are fixed—by repetition, emotional charge, and social stakes—your nervous system is not “free” in any meaningful sense inside that configuration. It will resolve toward loyalty, fear, or paralyzed ambivalence with the same inevitability that a measured triangle resolves to a single location on a map.

The “Eye in the Triangle” on the dollar bill isn’t just a symbol of empire—it is a diagram of a its methodology: the geometric technology of containment. And what’s being contained isn’t some demonic spirit, called forth from some Goetic Grimoire; it’s the unpredictable, volatile energy of millions of human nervous systems, constrained inside an informational architecture that channels their instincts and attention along pre-defined vectors.

The result, at the societal level, is chronic conditioning and cognitive fragmentation. Studies on the effects of cognitive dissonance on political attitudes show that once individuals rationalize a choice, they become more extreme, more certain, and less open to correction—but this rigidity applies mostly to tribal identity. The inversions must be deployed strategically.

Once the nervous system is conditioned to sustain cognitive dissonance, a paradoxical dual-state emerges: increasing rigidity in lane selection (tribal loyalty, partisan identity) paired with increasing malleability within that lane (beliefs, values, principles, policy positions). The tribal anchor calcifies—”I am a Democrat,” —but everything downstream of that anchor becomes increasingly reprogrammable as long as the identity anchor itself remains unthreatened.

So long as the self-concept and sense of tribal belonging are maintained, they can toggle everything else. Positions on censorship, civil liberties, military intervention, economic policy can be inverted on short order without triggering an identity dissolution defense response. The rigidity and malleability aren’t contradictory—they’re engineered for mutual-reinforcement. You’re not abandoning your identity when your values invert; you’re demonstrating loyalty by evolving with the group. Herd-conformity instincts, which are deeply connected to our survival instincts (safety in numbers), also play a substantial role in this scenario.

The individual doesn’t recognize this as brainwashing—they rationalize it as societal evolution or the maturation of collective morality. The cognitive dissonance architecture prevents them from seeing that their current position directly contradicts foundational values that they have held for decades. Memory is conveniently elastic—even re-writable—and therefore, facilitates adaptation without embarrassment: “We always cared about safety over absolute speech.” “The context is different now.” “I’ve matured in my thinking.”

The Illusion of Autonomy

The cognitive-dissonance propaganda renders identity itself infinitely reprogrammable while maintaining the illusion of autonomous development. Populations conditioned through cognitive dissonance tolerance can be identity-shifted across domains—politics, morality, epistemology, even foundational human rights

The system is designed to be self-reinforcing. If you’re still not convinced, just look around you…they have cranked the dial on the strategic-inversion machine, and the masses are responding exactly as the framework presented here predicts. They’re brains have literally been scrambled.

The Psychological Inversion

The Machine doesn’t broadcast the same inversions to everyone; it micro-targets emotional triggers to match specific personality types, ensuring each demographic receives the version most likely to bypass their critical thinking, promote cognitive dissonance, confuse, depersonalize, and demoralize their targets.

The distribution of partisan narratives is algorithmically determined by psychological profile: the right doesn’t receive anti-gun messaging because they’re bitch-made bootlickers cosplaying resistance while celebrating every police shooting, surveillance expansion, and federal crackdown on protesters they disagree with. Despite rhetoric celebrating the Second Amendment as a bulwark against tyranny and claiming to favor smaller government, heavily armed conservatives constantly demand larger police forces, military budgets, and prison systems

The left—the demographic that might actually resist—gets psychologically customized disarmament propaganda: appeals to empathy, ‘child safety, and social responsibility. By leveraging empathy via harm-reduction frameworks to create moral objections to armed self-defense, they ensure that the demographics most capable of institutional coordination and ideological coherence have lowest gun ownership, at 19-26% [7].

The right is fed constant narratives about ‘big government tyranny’ while cheering expanded surveillance, militarized police, and executive power—as long as it happens under the direction of their team. The left receives messaging about ‘protecting democracy’ while supporting censorship, corporate-government fusion— the exact institutional-consolidation they claim to oppose—all that is needed is to frame things in a way that convinces them it is in their best interests.

The left’s empathy and social justice orientation—traits that historically fuel resistance to tyranny—become weaponized against them through appeals to collective safety and harm reduction. When progressives identify ICE detention as tyranny or police violence as state oppression, their response when asked what they plan to do about it—”Uh…I’m gonna vote for a different puppet-master in like 3 years”—exposes the success of the propaganda: they’ve been conditioned to view armed resistance as morally equivalent to the tyranny they oppose. This creates paralysis in the very demographic most ideologically opposed to authoritarianism.

The Value Collapse

The left’s free speech reversal is staggering. The same demographic that championed The Berkeley Free Speech Movement now champions deplatforming, content moderation, and “misinformation” censorship. They shifted from “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it” to “free-speech is violence” within a single generation. This wasn’t gradual political drifting spanning decades —it was rapid reorientation in response to elite institutional messaging from a few politicians, universities, tech platforms, and mainstream media.

The right’s freedom rhetoric vs. authoritarian worship is equally absurd. “Don’t Tread on Me” flags fly alongside demands for militarized police, mass incarceration, and expanded surveillance state powers. They fetishize constitutional rights while cheering extrajudicial deportations, celebrating police brutality against protesters, and demanding tech companies censor content they dislike. The contradiction is so blatant it can only persist through sustained enforced-incoherence—which results from engineered cognitive-dissonance.

Both sides of the aisle have already surrendered autonomous thought. The left thinks tyranny respects Robert's Rules of Order. The right thinks freedom means worshiping authority. Both populations are so psychologically captured that neither represents much of a threat—regardless of armament.

The Machine Thrives on Incoherence

The system sustains itself by perpetuating enforced incoherence. The propaganda system functions by fragmenting perception—leveraging instinct against conscious awareness, severing cause from effect, obfuscating information in a way that discourages pattern recognition across domains. Your worldview becomes a collection of incompatible modules that never communicate, never finding resolution.

Developing internal coherence through cognitive training can close the gaps in perception. Developing the capacity to recognize structural patterns—through intellectual development, contemplative practices, psychedelic experiences, and dialectical thinking—will allow you to perceive the geometrical patterns that underlie apparently disconnected phenomena.

Default Mode Network attenuation through psychedelic or transcendental practices disrupts the neural architecture that maintains these perceptual blindspots. The DMN enforces categorical thinking, maintains the illusion of separate self, and reinforces conditioned response patterns—the same fragmentation the propaganda system exploits.

Hegelian dialectical thinking involves training the mind to hold thesis and antithesis simultaneously without collapsing into premature synthesis. Consciously holding opposing ideas like “my candidate represents working people” and “my candidate serves the elites” in awareness simultaneously, your neural-filtering architecture loses structural integrity.

They’re not hiding the architecture—they’re counting on your inability to see it coherently. The strategic inversions, the contradiction maximization, the learned-helplessness psyops—it’s all plainly visible. What prevents recognition isn’t secrecy; it’s perceptual fragmentation maintained through cognitive dissonance tolerance training. You can know that your candidate contradicts his purported values, that your party inverted its principles, that the system produces outcomes that are polar-opposites of its stated purpose—and still not see the coherent pattern because each contradiction occupies a separate cognitive module that never communicates with the others.

AI-Generated Disinformation

Generative AI now allows the production of persuasive content at scale previously unimaginable. Deepfake videos, AI-generated text, and synthetic voices can be deployed to create false narratives that are nearly indistinguishable from authentic content.

This represents a qualitative shift in the propaganda architecture. Previously, producing persuasive false content required significant resources—skilled writers, production teams, distribution networks. Now, a single actor can generate thousands of persuasive messages, optimized for specific audiences, in any language, at minimal cost.

Neuro-Technology and Direct Cognitive Intervention

Emerging neurotechnology raises the possibility of more direct forms of cognitive capture. Neural interfaces, brain stimulation techniques, and pharmaceuticals could soon be deployed to influence neural processing directly.

While this may sound science-fiction, research on transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) has demonstrated that non-invasive brain stimulation can influence decision-making, emotional responses, and memory formation. As these technologies advance, the question is not whether they will be used for cognitive manipulation, but how. Research on these same technologies as healing modalities is underway at major institutions all around the world [10]

Dismantling the Architecture

The dark art of propaganda is not relic of the ancient past or dystopian future—it is an evolving system operating in our present moment. Understanding the architecture is the first step toward defending against it.

The ancient Romans used myth, orations, monuments and coins to shape perception. Modern systems use algorithms and neuroscientific insights to engineer cognition at scale. The techniques have evolved, but the fundamental goal remains the same: to neutralize the population’s capacity for autonomous thought.

Recognizing the patterns is itself a defense. When we understand the neural mechanisms that propaganda —confirmation bias, emotional hijacking, cognitive dissonance/overload—we can promote countermeasures: media literacy, emotional/psychological awareness, and cognitive hygiene practices. The architecture has been thoroughly mapped, and mapping is the first step toward dismantling it.

A little less than ten years ago, I was studying ayahuasca as the apprentice of a Shuar uwishin. One day my maestro told me that a river near Cuyabeno, Ecuador had become so contaminated with mercury from illegal gold mining that, after bathing in the river, the skin of half a dozen of the tribe’s children sloughed off within minutes of getting out of the water.

Recent research found mercury poisoning in 80% of villages in the Amazon rain-forest.

As an environmentally conscious semi‑pro prospector myself, I recently learned that borax is an environmentally safer substitute for mercury. Borax is a common mineral salt (sodium borate) that acts as a flux: when you mix it with concentrated black sand and gold and then heat it, the borax melts into a glassy slag, lowering the melting point of the mix and allowing the gold to separate and collect as clean metal at the bottom of the crucible. In other words, borax lets miners smelt their concentrates directly, with simple charcoal stoves and basic tools, instead of adding mercury and then burning it off.

What I didn’t know until today is that borax can recover up to 2.6 times as much gold as mercury in some small‑scale operations. It hit me immediately that this is one of those rare instances where profit motive is aligned with ethics.

My first thought was, “How can this be? If borax is relatively harmless, cheaper, readily available, and more profitable, why are they still using mercury?” The answer is partly tradition and partly the isolation that is characteristic of outlaw economies. In addition, although borax has long been used as an additive in gold recovery, research establishing it as superior to mercury on its own is relatively recent. Education programs are underway in several countries, but here in Peru the situation is more complicated.

The Peruvian government legally owns all mineral resources within its borders. Small‑scale prospecting is technically legal, but definitions are vague and permits are expensive. Many Indigenous groups rely on small mining operations for income, often using low‑impact methods such as panning and sluicing. The larger, destructive operations have provoked government crackdowns, which in practice have criminalized low‑impact, subsistence‑level Indigenous miners. Here in the Sacred Valley, a taxi driver told me that local Quechua people run sluices in the middle of the night to avoid detection. Using no chemicals or fuel, they’re lucky to pull thirty dollars in tiny gold flakes per night.

Perhaps the biggest obstacle to spreading awareness is the simple fact that approaching active illegal mines is dangerous business. Some are connected to cartels, and even double as coca‑paste processing labs. Another factor is that Indigenous peoples—in my experience, at least—generally do not appreciate foreigners telling them what to do, regardless of the outsider’s intentions.

I am not an activist; I have no experience and have never organized any kind of campaign. However, I will be in the Amazon this August–November, and I’m willing to expose myself to some degree of risk. If by some miracle I can find funding, I have a few ideas:

• On‑site demos, not lectures: Short field sessions where we process a real local concentrate twice—once with mercury (their way) and once with borax—then weigh the gold side by side.

• Local champions: Train a couple of respected miners or cooperative leaders who can keep teaching the method after I leave.

• Simple visuals: Laminated one‑page diagrams in Spanish (and local languages where needed) showing a simple sequence: concentrate → borax → heat → gold, with minimal text.

• Harm‑reduction framing: Emphasize “less risk, more gold, more family health” instead of moralizing about mercury use.

• Low‑risk outreach: “Dusting” mining camps with pamphlets dropped by drone—or ideally from a small plane—could help reduce personal risk. Communicating with local Indigenous groups could also help gauge the risks associated with specific camps and may open pathways to safe interactions. Community outreach could include spending time in local watering holes to network, and hosting free educational seminars in gold‑bearing communities.

Environmental destruction, human suffering, and even loss of life on this scale is intolerable—especially when a solution exists that benefits everyone. This is an easy sell; there is no need for ideological alignment, nor are we asking for any sacrifice. We are simply offering free training that will increase profits for the miners.

More than 25 years ago I first experienced collective mind—and possibly weather—entrainment at a Dark Star Orchestra concert in Spotsylvania, Virginia. A few years earlier, around age 15, during my second LSD trip I realized that consciousness was field-based. That insight provided me with a starting point from which I would build a hypothesis that attempted to explain how inter-brain synchrony could occur, and how neural-entrainment might potentially influence the weather.

Shortly after the Dark Star concert I attended another similar show, a Grateful Dead spinoff called “The Other Ones.” Not only did I experience the collective mind phenomena again—numerous times and in a variety of modalities—I also had an epiphany that would determine the course of the rest of my life. I realized that the Grateful Dead’s audience had very clearly received a specific message from their experiences, regardless of the absence of any explicit articulation in the lyrics.

Eventually I noticed a handful of other details that I intuitively felt were key to solving this mystery : the truly transcendental musical events always occurred at least 10 minutes into a collective improvisation, that these moments an energy was released that felt like a sort of “cosmic orgasm”. Exposure to this energy somehow fundamentally changed people—at least in the sense that it helped them become more themselves. Today I would frame this as increased internal coherence via entrainment. Non-local information transfer also seemed to occur at these moments—something I would become increasingly confident about after audience members at my own shows repeatedly reported this type of experience to me. Music, under certain conditions, I realized, could be deliberately employed as a tool for collective gnosis induction.

Eventually I also grokked that the band imitated universal processes in their music as well, such as order out of chaos, or phase transition-recursion (another framing is reaching a symmetry threshold and then breaking symmetry; interestingly the band would use a fully symmetrical mode during these sections), and they mimicked real world physics in the music’s dynamics. Perhaps most interesting, though, was the fact that their musical formula provided the guidelines for everything else in their world, from the ethos of their business model, to their personal conduct. Today I understand that what they were doing was creating global-coherence in the interest of engineering a stable structure whose constituent elements were all in alignment. Their music, ethics, and business were recursive—almost holographic—reflections of each other.

Having witnessed the legendary weather entrainment several times myself, I reasoned that with enough field-integrated nodes of consciousness having a shared expectation, it might be possible to exert sufficient influence to create such an effect. Psychedelics might contribute by attenuating nervous system filters, facilitating inter-connectivity of “nodes” in the field. It struck me immediately that this is exactly how a Native American rain-dance worked: drums, dancing, singing, altered states, and a shared intention. If this all sounds too “out there” for you, buckle up…here comes the science.

The Common Architecture of Collective Trance

Rain dances, shamanic ceremonies, and Grateful Dead concerts share remarkably similar structural elements: altered states of consciousness, rhythmic entrainment through music or drumming, coordinated movement and ecstatic dance, and collectively shared intention or expectation. Research on shamanic trance shows that practitioners enter states characterized by increased theta oscillations (4-7 Hz)—the same frequency range that promotes imagery flooding, dissolution of ego boundaries, and enhanced access to unconscious material. In other words, the default mode network is attenuated, increasing inter-network cross-talk between the brain’s sub-systems, and softening the boundary between “self” and “other.” Part of what I am suggesting in this article is that the experience of “oneness with the universe” that is commonly associated with psychedelic and other transcendental states isn’t just a superficial or subjective interpretation, but that the individual’s consciousness is temporarily field-integrated.

Studies measuring brain activity during group rituals show that when people perform ceremonies together, they exhibit theta phase synchronization that reflects “orientation toward a common perspective and social coordination,” with ritual efficacy increasing proportionally to neural synchrony between participants. The implication: synchronized minds form a larger coherent node that exerts an exponentially greater influence on the field—the same field that organizes weather systems.

Interbrain Synchrony at Live Music Performances

Recent neuroscience confirms what I intuitively understood decades ago: live music creates profound neural coupling between audience members—particularly during extended collective improvisations (as Deadheads have asserted for decades). Studies measuring concertgoers’ brain activity have revealed that inter-brain synchrony (IBS) occurs primarily in the theta frequency band (4-8 Hz) across frontotemporal brain regions—the same bandwidth associated with shamanic trance states.

This neural synchronization is strongest when people experience high levels of musical pleasure simultaneously. Both the intensity of shared emotion and the number of people experiencing it determine the degree of neural-coupling. In other words, the intensity of pleasure correlates directly with the level of coherence achieved—higher collective pleasure equals tighter neural synchronization. During peak moments of maximum coherence, individual consciousness nodes temporarily operate as components of a larger, synchronized system.
