My out-of-office at work is about to go on and I cannot wait. I haven’t really had a proper break since April/May, so I am very ready for it. I’m heading to Europe for two weddings, visiting my own wedding venue for food tasting and ending with my mini hen/bach and I’m so excited :)

It’s Saturday evening and I’ve just finished the first iteration of the seating plan for our wedding, so I’m feeling like an absolute queeeeen! I’m sure it will change a few times between now and then, but I just didn’t want to leave it until the last minute and find myself frantically trying to pull it together. I feel like I’ve accomplished something that’s been hanging over me for a while, so I’m going to take the win!

Darcia Vase - Lulu & Georgia

I love Lulu and Georgia and it’s probably my favourite home site in the US right now, particularly for their great collaborations. We’ve bought quite a few pieces for our home from there, and I’m rarely disappointed when they arrive.

I recently bought the Darcia Vase in two colours, ivory and green, and they’re both gorgeous. I love its sculptural shape and it feels so much more special than a standard vase, and even without flowers, it works almost like a piece of art in its own right.

I also think it’s one of those pieces that could work anywhere in the home. My ivory one is going on the dining table, where I love the contrast against the warmth of the wood, while the green one is still waiting to find its spot.

As for flowers, I think they’d look beautiful filled with an abundance of tulips; slightly overflowing, loose and effortless.

It was my birthday last weekend so I took a week off :)

I’m so grateful for another year! A lot has happened in the last year and my life has changed a lot! I definitely feel a lot more mature and adulting is definitely in full swing, but for the most part I feel like where I’m supposed to be even though there’s still a lot to work on.

I’m trying to pick a few words for this year and all I can think of right now are the words: INTENTION and GRACE. I hope I can be more intentional and consistent in all areas of life and I hope I can apply grace to my life and others around me.

Closet Transformation with Little Greene

I just finished my closet and I’m so, so happy with how it turned out. The space is small, but I wanted to make it fully mine: a little bolder, and just an exciting room to be in.

Paint was my first step, since that’s what would transform the space into something different. I loved teaming up with Little Greene on colours; their paints have such incredible depth and range. The moment I saw Adventurer, I knew it was the one. It’s a deep burgundy-plum that feels so rich and cool. The inspiration actually came from a tiny coffee shop in London called Mulliri on Gloucester Road, where every surface is a similar deep burgundy. The space is minuscule, but the colour makes it feel intentional. Once I saw how well it worked there, I knew I could recreate that same effect at home (inspiration really does come from anywhere)

Normally I’d paint the ceiling the same colour as the walls, but since the room is small and needed a bit more light, I went with Chemise instead, a pale pink that balances the space beautifully.

The chest of drawers are from Wayfair, but I swapped the hardware for burgundy marble knobs I found on Etsy. Honestly, it was such a small change, but it made a big difference.

To finish the room, I repurposed my wall lamps from Pooky, which were the cherry on top and gave everything such a moody, warm feel. I added a few books to make the space feel lived-in, and placed my Manolo’s (traditional wedding shoes) on top as a sentimental little touch.

The last two weeks have been a little more busy than usual because I’ve been doing more in the evenings after work, which is rare. I have loved seeing more friends in the week but I can’t lie -by the end of the week I’m spent! It obviously has nothing to do with my friends and everything to do with being in the office everyday and trying to get my workouts in!!!! Anyway because of this, I try to only commit to one thing after work per week, otherwise I struggle to be super effective in the office. However, this week I had plans 3/5 nights in the work week and it took a lot out of me. One of the nights included book club, which was a lovely highlight and I’m so glad we started it (great girls and great chat) :)

Westlawn Sofa - Lulu & Georgia

I revealed my new sofa on Instagram yesterday, so I feel like the home reveal is officially underway! It's the Westlawn sofa from Lulu & Georgia in green with brown piping, and I'm so happy with how it fits in the space. I’m not sure if this specific colour is still available but they have other cool colour combinations too!

I knew I wanted something that felt classic but still had a little personality, and the green felt like the perfect way to bring some color into the space without it being too much. The brown piping is such a lovely detail too and it gives it a slightly more tailored look and makes it feel really elevated. It's definitely become the focal point of the living room. There are still a few things to finish before the room is completely done, but it's finally starting to feel like everything is coming together, and I'm so excited to keep sharing the process with you.

The last few weeks have been a little busy, but on the bright side, the apartment is slowly coming together. I finally have a much clearer vision of how I want it to look and feel, which has made the whole process so much more exciting.

Summer has been a little quieter than usual, but things will definitely pick up in August, so I’m trying to make the most of this slightly slower season while it lasts. July is also my birthday month, and I’ve started thinking about how I want to celebrate. It’s not a milestone birthday, but I still think birthdays are always worth celebrating in some way, so that’s been top of mind lately.

Le Luxe

I’m a repeat offender with this one, and honestly, the brand had very little convincing to do. I bought the set the moment it launched, loved it instantly, and knew it had become a household staple the day P was doing laundry and turned to me and asked, “Where are those ball things?” :)

We love the scent, especially Fresh Cotton, the most neutral of the three. We change our sheets every Sunday, so the scent has become a little ritual marker. It signals the end of one week and the start of a fresh one.

The beads and the dryer sheets are the standout products for me. I rarely reach for the spray. Use the beads and the sheets together and you get a double hit of scent, so there’s really no need for the spritz on top. That said, if you’re someone who changes their sheets every two weeks, a spritz at the end of week one will keep the fragrance lingering until your next wash.

Now I’m just patiently waiting on the detergent. The socials have been teasing us!! All in all, a brilliant product.

Petite Keep - Custom Trunk

I don’t know about you, but I really struggle to part with sentimental things like birthday cards, letters, wedding invitations, and the like. So much time and effort goes into them that it honestly feels weird to throw them away. My only problem is: where do I keep it all? Some things end up tucked away in drawers here and there, but I really needed a one-stop shop for everything.

And then I found the perfect solution: Petite Keep! They recently sent me a personalized Grand Trunk, which I absolutely love. It’s the perfect size, not too bulky, but still big enough to hold all the things that matter. Chanel La Mousse Cleanser

I’ve been using the Chanel La mousse cleanser for two years now, and it’s become a true staple in my routine. I love that it transforms from a cream to a foam and effectively removes everything from my skin. It feels like a little luxury in the shower. I know I always say I don’t like to spend money on things I wash of my face - but a woman has free will to change her mind :P

Over time, I’ve realized that I really gravitate toward foaming cleansers because they remove dirt from my face much more effectively than super gentle, non-foaming formulas.

Honestly, I have no notes for this product. I just got a new one at the airport and I think it’s here to stay in my routine for a long time.

Hanni

I received this duo from Hanni; Rich Rinse (hydrating body wash) and Splash Salve (in-shower nourishing body balm).

I’ve been using the body wash for the last week and I love the scent → sparkling Palmarosa. Very hard to describe the scent, so here’s their description:

“ A bright top note that is a mix of rose stems, pink pepper, palmarosa, and a bouquet of florals: geranium and jasmine. Warm amber and honey wood lingers with you throughout the day.”

I haven’t tried the balm yet but I’ll be sure to let you know my thoughts when i do!

Restaurant Notes

Tusk Bar and Brass

One of my favourite spots in New York is Brass/Tusk. Brass is a low-lit restaurant in the Evelyn Hotel in Nomad. It also has an adjacent bar called Tusk. I have been to Brass three times and everyone I’ve taken there loves it. However, Tusk has seen me a lot more. I really like the vibe - it’s a cute drink spot but you can also get small bites that are substantial, which makes it great for a ‘girl dinner'.’ I was actually there last Friday, so I figured I would share this place again because it’s soo good.

I really love the interior, the lighting is low and the walls are filled with abstract art, which adds to the uniqueness of the room. But there is still this overall feel of elegance and luxury that I appreciate. I highly recommend checking it out and if you don’t want a big meal, the Tusk Bar is perfect.

I’ll leave you with a pair of shoes that have been on my radar lately: the Valentino Coeur Royal 85mm Sandals. I first spotted them on Morgan Stewart, and since then, they’ve been popping up on my timeline nonstop. I don’t own much Valentino, and this isn’t necessarily the style I’d usually gravitate toward, but they look so good on the foot. I think this may be my sign to finally dip in. Yay or nay?

Fable

Last week, I received the cutest dinnerware set from Fable. When they first reached out, my immediate thought was: I absolutely do not need more plates or glasses and I definitely don’t have the space for them. But then I went onto their site and saw the speckled white collection, and that was it for me. It’s so beautifully done and I convinced myself that I had to have it…

I’m especially obsessed with the shape of the glasses. The soft, curved lines look so elegant on a table setting and add something a little different without trying too hard. I clearly have a weakness for anything with a good curve. Im really glad I said yes because they are gorgeous IRL and good quality. I find that some sets can be on the thin side and break or chip too easily, but these feel nice and strudy!

Fenty Beauty & Necessaire

I want to focus on body care this week because there are two brands I constantly come back to: Fenty Beauty and Nécessaire. They’ve both earned permanent spots in my routine for different reasons.

I love the Fenty Butta drop whipped oil body cream for the richness, the moisture, and the scent. If you have melanin-rich skin, you already know daily moisturising isn’t optional and finding something that actually lasts throughout the day (without leaving you ashy) is KEY. This product really delivers. It’s thick in the best way, deeply hydrating, and leaves your skin with that healthy, moisturised glow.

Nécessaire is my go-to as the weather gets warmer. It still feels nourishing, but it’s a little lighter than Fenty, while still getting the job done and the scent is also 10/10 (i like the Cypres-Citronne scent but they are all solid tbh and they also have fragrance free). New York summers are so hot and humid, so I always look for products that hydrate properly without feeling too heavy or sticky, and this is perfect for that.

Berkshires Untold

I went to the Berkshires a week ago to speak on a panel for the New Guard Summit. I work in private wealth management, so I was invited to speak on owning your wealth and setting yourself up for success. It turned into such a lovely few days spent with incredibly inspiring women and I learnt so much too!

While I was there, I stayed at Berkshires Untold and was genuinely pleasantly surprised. This might sound odd, but the best way I can describe it is: imagine if Soho House did motels. You can tell the property was probably a roadside motel in a previous life (from a layout perspective), but it’s been renovated and elevated in such a thoughtful way.

The service was great and the rooms were cosy. You can also tell they were intentional about where they invested. Not every corner is ultra-luxury (no snacks in rooms), but the things that actually shape the guest experience were done really well (e.g. the bathroom is stocked with Le Labo products).

New York Newsagents

There’s something about New York newsagents that I love so much, especially the ones packed floor to ceiling with independent magazines from all over the world. I can honestly lose so much time in them. There’s always a mix of fashion, interiors, food, culture and niche publications you’d never stumble across online, and I love how curated they feel despite looking slightly (okay extremely) chaotic. In a city that moves so quickly, they almost feel like little pockets of slowness.

My favourite is Soho News International on Prince St. I could spend hours in there. There’s something really fulfilling about walking into a corner shop, leaving with a stack of beautiful magazines and appreciating the value of print. Don’t get me wrong, I love how accessible things are online now, but there is so much beauty in print.

I’m one of those people who loves to clean. I struggle to go to bed at night if the kitchen is messy, so I always do a little spring clean and spray before lights out. It makes the next day easier and my morning coffee far more zen. So, I thought I would let you in to the products I’ve used for a while now and love. Im currently using products from Flamingo Estate and Koala Eco (which I will cover another time).

Flamingo Estate

There’s just something about the tomato collection from Flamingo Estate.

I have the dish soap and the surface cleaner and both are so good. Effective, beautifully packaged, and the scent is like fresh tomato vines in the sun, which makes the whole kitchen smell incredible. The bottles are also genuinely aesthetic, which means for once I’m actually happy to leave cleaning products out on display instead of hiding them under the sink. They recently changed the packaging which I’m quite sad about because I love the glass bottles (but I the steel is growing on me).

Not cleaning-related, but I’m also on my third bottle of their olive oil and genuinely use it all the time. They do the cutest personalised bottles too, which make such a thoughtful gift. A friend gave me my first bottle when I got promoted, and I’ll honestly never forget it (anything home-related instantly makes me happy).

Nothing too long on skin today, but I do want to tell you about new products I've just started using for the last 2 weeks. I won’t give my review yet because I like to test things out for a couple of weeks to a month before I recommend, but so far I have no complaints.

I’ve never tried Eighth Day products but I’ve heard great things about their peptide-rich plasma formulas, so I have been eager to try them.

It’s definitely on the richer, oilier side, so whenever I use it, it doubles as my moisturiser step too.

Restaurants

Dover St Counter: I loved this place - its small, the food is good and the music is unmatched. Highly recommend!

Platapian by Patara: A new restaurant by the Patara Group and it was worth the wait. I love Thai food and the selection is so good. Everything is really yummy and the vibe is chill and relaxed.

Coffee Shops

Mulliri: a very beautiful coffee shop in Kensington. I was obsessed with this burgundy colour and the coffee is good.

Pavilion Express: another gorgeous spot. It’s like a newsagent/cafe (you can buy magazines). The interiors are a mix of burgundy and silver - very cosy. Coffee and desserts are yummy too.

Louis Vuitton Hotel, London: A friend took me to the opening of the Louis Vuitton pop-up in London and I was genuinely impressed by how they transformed the townhouse. The space has been given a distinctly Parisian feel, while still keeping the charm of the original building.

Taking over the former home of Morton’s private members’ club, the temporary hotel-inspired concept was created to celebrate 130 years of the iconic Monogram, blending shopping, hospitality and exhibition spaces across three beautifully designed floors.

I loved exploring the space, but my only drawback was that I wish they had converted one of the rooms into an actual bedroom. Given the hotel theme, I think it would have tied the whole experience together perfectly (it focuses more on hotel amentities).

Il Buco Vita x Leanne Ford

I was invited to the launch of the new Il Buco Vita x Leanne Ford collection this week and it was such a lovely evening. The collection feels very true to Leanne Ford’s aesthetic: understated, warm and effortlessly lived-in, with pieces that somehow feel both rustic and elevated at the same time.

Everything had that imperfect, handcrafted quality that makes a table feel more personal and inviting rather than overly styled. I completely fell in love with the Bellocchi Small Terracotta Casserole in Cream! It’s the kind of piece that makes you want to host dinner immediately. It’s simple but elevated, and I can already imagine it sitting on an open kitchen shelf. I’m genuinely tempted to buy one.

I also really loved the two-tone pieces in the collection. They added a slightly more modern contrast while still keeping that earthy, organic feel that runs through the entire range. It all felt very timeless.

Bedroom Moodboard

I’m going to start sharing more Home content on my socials soon but you’re getting the first scoop! This is going to be a slow process. Designing a bigger space is definitely harder than a studio and especially when you’re trying to bear someone else’s taste in mind.

This is where I’ve landed so far on the bedroom moodboard. Most things are in play but we are still pending a few of the items.

I’ve been pulling this moodboard together for a while. Everything is anchored by that forest green velvet bed that we got from Lulu & Georgia (obsessed, no notes), warmed up with oak nightstands and a six-drawer dresser with the most beautiful marble top, and softened by the creamiest linen curtains. I added knobs from etsy to the dress to elevate it a bit.

I currently don’t have an accent chair so I’m playing around with this at the moment. The Sinclair Linen Fringe Armless Chair, from Anthropologie, was a bit different but I feel like she could belong. The patterned ottoman ties the whole thing together without trying too hard, and the pleated lamps add just enough quiet drama.

This is a work in progress but I’m working towards a peaceful sanctuary.

Shani Darden

Since the end of last year, I have been testing out Shani Darden products. She is especially well known for her Retinol Reform serum, which contains 1% encapsulated retinol. Although I had heard about it for years, I was initially hesitant to try it because I assumed retinol would be too harsh for my skin.

After doing more research into retinoids and their benefits, particularly their role in cell turnover and exfoliation, I decided to introduce it into my routine once a week to see how my skin would respond. So far, it has been a positive experience. On the nights I use the retinol serum, I avoid layering other active products to minimise the risk of irritation. The formula also advises against using it alongside AHA products on the same evening.

• Retinol’s key mechanisms

  • Accelerates cell turnover - pushes fresher, newer cells to the surface faster - improving texture and tone over time.

  • Stimulates collagen production - plump, plump, plump

  • Unclogs pores - prevents dead skin cells from accumulating

  • inhibits melanin transfer - great for hyperpigmentation and dark spots

The Cleansing Serum is incredibly gentle and easily one of the most delicate formulas I have tried. I have tested a wide range of cleansers, and while many achieve similar results, they do so in different ways. This one stands out for its softness, making it a great option for sensitive skin or anyone looking for a more calming, non-stripping cleanse. It leaves the skin feeling smooth, balanced, and hydrated rather than tight or dry.

The Hydration Peptide Cream focuses on plumping and hydration. I have been using it both morning and night for the past few months and have really enjoyed it. As the weather gets warmer, my skin no longer needs a heavy moisturiser, so this feels like a perfect alternative. I am always happy to take any added plumping benefits. The only improvement I would suggest is a clearer way to track how much product is left, as the opaque packaging makes it difficult to tell when you are running low.

Inness

I love this place. It’s my second time there and I honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. It’s the type of place that is perfect in sunshine and rain-pour.

The Feeling

The one thing I love most about Inness is how it makes you feel. I remember saying to P while we were walking around the property that I loved how you are technically in a hotel, but it feels like you have the whole place to yourself. It feels really personal, almost like your own little space rather than somewhere you are just passing through. The staff have this very natural way of making you feel looked after without it ever feeling too much. It ends up feeling more like your own home in a private community than a hotel.

Coming from somewhere as busy as Manhattan, that sense of calm and space just hits differently. It really gives you that feeling of switching off, which is exactly what I was looking for.

This place is also really special to us. It is where we came to celebrate the anniversary of the day we met, our first year. It only felt right to come back and make our marriage official here.

Such a special place for us, for so many reasons.

The Details

The bedrooms are minimal but in a good way. Nothing feels excessive, just calm, warm, and really well thought through. The linens, robes, and slippers are all by Frette (the just get luxury linen so right). The bathrooms are stocked with Aesop products, which always feels like a treat, (although I would love to see other brands in hotels now but I can’t complain). There’s also a small store on the property with a really great edit of products, including pieces from Flamingo Estate and Inness branded merch, so it’s very easy to end up leaving with a little something. It all feels thoughtful without trying too hard, which I love.

Last but not least, the iconic black cabins are what really set the tone for the whole property. They’re striking but still feel calm and understated, blending into the landscape in a way that feels both modern and quietly special.

The Stay

From start to finish, I was a happy camper. I’ve already discussed the rooms but i cant miss out on the added extras.

The restaurant: very farm to table, simple but thoughtful, and everything feels fresh without trying too hard, and I’m still thinking about the sticky toffee pudding.

The spa: has a slightly brutalist feel in its design, but in a way that works. It feels grounding, and a bit removed from everything, which is exactly what you want when you’re there.

The staff: really make the experience, they’re attentive, and make you feel genuinely looked after without it ever feeling forced. Even small touches, like the Inness branded trucks around the property, add to that elevated, slightly indulgent feel that makes the whole stay feel special.

My Top picks:

• Rihanna - I don’t care if she’s late, I’ll wait! She can do no wrong in my eyes! She delivers EVERY TIME! No notes - yes yes yes!

• Beyoncé - did not come to play!!! We heard her coming before she entered the room - the crowd went insane and I understand why! Showstopper and so much grace! It was also such a beautiful moment with Blue!!

• Chase Infiniti - stunning! This is her moment and she’s not leaving any crumbs behind.

• Isha Ambani - I gasped- the jewelry alone was chefs kiss! From the diamonds, to the mango and the flowers - I was impressed!

• Ashley Graham - for a dress I would actually wear and she looked sensational in it!

• Kendall - looked gorgeous - even when she’s simple, she has presence. However I think the cape that should took pictures in should have been the full look. We would have made the space - like Madonna ….

• Paloma - she looked like art!

Dries Van Noten

I visited the Dries Van Noten store in London and it is absolutely stunning. The store design is 10/10, and the curation feels bold, vibrant (a world away from the idea of quiet luxury).

I initially went in to explore their coats, shoes, and new body care collection. All categories exceed expectation. For all of you that are curious about the body care collection, each scent is distinct, yet all feel fresh and timeless, and the packaging is just as impressive as you would expect. my favourite - Soie & Amber.

What I did not anticipate was being completely drawn in by the makeup collection. I found myself stopping at the lip range. I do not usually wear lipstick, but I can always appreciate a good balm, especially when it comes in a beautiful case. It’s something I use daily, so girl maths was in full effect. They also offer refills, which makes it feel like a thoughtful cosmetic investment. Such a great find, in my opinion. (Case Link)

Start With Yourself - Emma Grede

I just finished Emma Grede’s book, Start with Yourself and really enjoyed it. There’s been a lot of online discourse around it, but after reading, it feels more like an honest account of how she’s built her life. It captures the highs, the lows and the trade-offs she’s made along the way. The interviews and social media snapshots feel far more preachy than the book itself.

My takeaway is that she’s not asking us to replicate her path, but rather sharing her experience transparently. I don’t think you need to take every piece of advice (I certainly didn’t), but there are still some genuine insights and worthwhile gems throughout, IF you want a certain type of life/career.

Home Notes…

Saying goodbye to my Brooklyn studio was bittersweet. It was such a special space, filled with memories and great moments. However, I’m genuinely excited for this new beginning in the city and the opportunity to create something new from the ground up.

One of the very first decisions we made in the new space was paint. Colour sets the tone for everything else, so it felt like an important place to start. I partnered with Little Greene for the paint throughout our home, and I have been so pleased with the result. The have so many colours to choose from and their palette is beautifully considered, full of soft and nuanced tones that feel timeless.

For the living room, I knew I wanted something warm and inviting, a colour that would feel comfortable at any time of day while still feeling elevated. We chose Silent White Mid, which reads as a creamy and warm neutral. It has a softness to it that feels incredibly elegant, and it complements the marble in the kitchen area beautifully, creating a sense of cohesion across the space.

In the primary bedroom, we opted for Slaked Lime, a soft white tone that keeps the room feeling light and airy. I wanted this space to feel like a true retreat, somewhere that felt calm and restorative after long days. The softness of the colour helps create that sense of quiet, making the room feel peaceful without feeling stark.

For the second bedroom, which doubles as a study, we chose linen wash initially (pictured below), but I think I’m going to change it to Clay- mainly for warmth. I want this room to feel neutral but still warm and layered, inviting enough to spend long stretches of time working or relaxing. I am drawn to the idea of achieving that subtle lime wash inspired feel without actually using the material itself, and I think Clay will deliver exactly that. I’m hoping the result will feel textured and warm, with a quiet depth that makes the room feel considered and complete.

For my closet - I’ve opted for one colour but I think I’m going to make changes and go a little moodier, so stay tuned.

I can’t wait to share more of this design journey with you. It will be a fairly slow process, especially as I am also in the middle of planning our wedding in Europe later this year. I want every purchase to feel thoughtful and intentional, so I am taking my time with each decision. But so far, so good :)

Skin Notes…

Elemis

I tend to keep the same few products in rotation, but every now and then I’ll introduce something new into the mix to see how it performs. I was gifted a few products from Elemis last year, and since then I’ve quietly turned into a repeat buyer. I truly can’t get enough of the Dynamic Resurfacing Pads and the Cleansing Balm.

I had always heard good things about the Elemis Cleansing Balm, but I was convinced that cleansing balms simply didn’t agree with my skin and I was completely wrong. What I love most about this product is how quickly it transforms from a balm into a silky oil. It melts makeup instantly, without feeling heavy or greasy on the skin. I’m currently on my third tub, and something tells me I’ll be repurchasing this one for quite some time.

I don’t know where the Dynamic Resurfacing Pads have been all my life. I genuinely hope this product has won awards, because it deserves them. I use the pads daily after my nighttime cleanse. They’re especially helpful when my skin starts to look a little dull or tired. After using them, my skin always looks brighter and more refreshed. The formula is designed to help reduce the appearance of dark spots, pores, and uneven texture, and over time I’ve noticed a visible improvement in the overall smoothness of my skin.

I’ve used both of these products long enough to feel confident recommending them. If you do decide to try either one, I would highly recommend patch testing first, just to see how your skin responds.

Away Diary …

The Shelborne by Proper, Miami

The Feeling

The Shelborne by Proper feels like Miami meets LA in the best way. From the moment you walk in, there’s a clear Art Deco influence that immediately sets the tone. It feels like an intentional nod to another era, while still staying modern and relevant. It feels like stepping into a film. There is so much to discover that you are constantly left wanting more, with a quiet fear that you might miss a perfectly placed chair or an unexpected art piece. It’s quite funny, I had to walk around by myself to avoid any distraction - I wanted to take it all in!

The Details

There’s so much to love here from a design perspective. I loved the mix of neutral tones, soft greens and blues throughout the bedrooms, all brought to life with natural light and blonde wood. The occasional vintage accent adds just the right amount of character. The layering of textures and patterns makes it feel like a true design lover’s space, especially moments like the USM Haller cabinet, which anchors the room beautifully (I’m tempted to get one).

The Aesop products in the bathroom are always a win and immediately elevate the experience. The only slight drawback was that the bathroom felt a little tight, but it doesn’t take away from the overall design impact.

The Stay

The staff were genuinely lovely and warm, which set a really nice tone for the stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and as someone who cares about good sheets, these absolutely delivered. Room service was great and even though we ate out mostly, we took advantage of the the breakfast → yummy, and the cafe of the ground floor has excellent coffee.

The pool area in the morning is a real highlight and not to be missed, and the amenities are well thought through. I was slightly disappointed to miss out on one of the classes (my fault), as they looked like a great addition to the overall experience. Last but not least, I really loved the little shop behind the dining area, they had some great branded pieces to commemorate the stay.

In Good Taste …

Alaia Patent Leather Wedge Mules!

I saw these beauties towards the end of last year and knew I had to have them. There are some shoes I’ve let slip away in the past, but this time I wasn’t going to make that mistake again . I mean, look at that heel, it’s a work of art!!! The height is perfect, they elevate even the simplest look, and I love how much they stand out without trying too hard. These feel like the kind of shoes that will stay with me for years.

First of all, thank you for all the love you showed for the traditional wedding. It truly means so much. It was a real labor of love and I still feel incredibly grateful and blessed with how everything came together.

I have already shared quite a bit on social media, but there are a few moments I wanted to save for my Substack, including the welcome party in Ghana and the second celebration in Lagos.

Welcome Party

Look 1: Kilentar

We hosted our welcome party at Vine the night before and it was so much fun. Even though I knew the guest list, seeing everyone together in one place was a little overwhelming but in the best way. At first we were not planning to have a welcome party, but it ended up feeling like the right thing to do. We wanted people to have a chance to mingle and connect before the big day. I’m so glad we did it because on the wedding day itself, I barely had time to interact with everyone, so the welcome party turned out to be a great idea.

I decided to wear Kilentar’s Rike Fringe Maxi Dress and I absolutely loved it. I had been eyeing this dress for a while but never really had an occasion to wear it. As soon as we confirmed we were having a welcome party, I immediately thought, I need this dress. If you are thinking of ordering this dress, one thing to know is that it is very heavy. You can ask them to use slightly less fringe, which does not change the look but makes it much lighter and easier to wear.

I truly cannot recommend this dress and the team enough. I loved wearing it♡

Traditional Wedding Day

Look 2: Kente

My kente dress was truly a process, and rightly so. It is heritage, intention, and design all woven into one piece. From the very beginning I was incredibly particular about the colours. Choosing the threads alone took forever. I genuinely wish I had known how much time I would spend going back and forth over thread colours because that part was a bit of a nightmare.

In the end, I wanted something that felt deeply rooted in tradition while still feeling modern. What I love most about kente is the craftsmanship. The fabric is handwoven in strips and then carefully brought together to create something so striking and refined. There is something incredibly special about wearing a piece that connects you to where you come from while still feeling completely like yourself.

Moda Bertha did an amazing job with the pattern. I initially thought I would have to choose a standard design before we began, but I loved that she created something unique instead. P was not too keen on wearing pink kente, so she flipped the colours and made green his base instead, which ended up looking great.

My girls wore a beige and gold kente that was also incorporated into my pattern. They each chose their own styles and looked absolutely beautiful. The groomsmen’s fila (hat) was made out of the same Kente as well.

It meant so much to have my favorite people walking beside me. Being a tradsmaid comes with a lot of responsibility, so I definitely do not take it for granted. I am incredibly grateful for the years of friendship we have shared and for the commitment and love they showed me during this season.

It was also a beautiful to wear Kente with my parents - It was special to see them beaming with such joy on the day. It’s a memory I will hold forever -the best :)

Look 2 : Aso Oke

This aso oke felt like a moment. Couture by Tabik made my dreams come true with this one. I knew I wanted something structured and regal, but still soft and feminine and this dusty pink felt so romantic. Aso oke is traditionally handwoven, similar to kente but tougher, which gives it a beautiful weight that naturally holds shape. That allowed us to really lean into the sculptural bodice, the defined shoulders, and the drama of the gele.

What I love most is how elevated it feels while still being deeply rooted. It’s refined, intentional but still me. The colour, lace details, the beading! I loved every detail!

Look 3: Christie Brown

The after party outfit was a last minute decision. I was at the Christie Brown store because they were working on my Lagos outfit when I spotted this silver cropped top in their signature stencil fabric. It immediately caught my eye and I thought it was so interesting.

The team was incredible and managed to make a skirt to go with it in just one day. I honestly cannot thank them enough for pulling it together so quickly. The look ended up being fun, effortless, and the perfect way to end the night. It’s so sad, I was having way too much fun at that point so I don’t have many great photos of me in this look. I also took all of my photos in the morning so once I got to the venue I was only focused on candids.

The after party itself was so much fun. We changed the PF signage to SincerelyBaxx, which was a playful nod to our Instagram names. We also used our adinkra symbol and its meaning across all the branding for the night. The design was done by Shoko.to and printed by The Perfect Ink Co.

I really enjoyed adding all those branded touches. Even though I didn’t get to see every single detail on the day, it meant a lot to know that the thought and intention behind them were there.

LAGOS

A week after Ghana, we had another party in Lagos to close out the traditional part of the celebrations. Thankfully, I did not plan this one because managing both events would have been incredibly overwhelming. All I had to do was show up and enjoy it and it truly was such a fun night.

It was quite nice being an honorary guest at your own event. Everything was a surprise to me as well, so I got to experience it in real time without the anticipation or pressure that usually comes with planning.

My dress was by Christie Brown and I absolutely loved it. It felt perfect for the night. It had just the right amount of drama to let me have my main character moment, without being one of those long, overly draped dresses that can be difficult to move around in. I loved the colour and all the detailing. I was a little unsure about the balloon hem at first, but it really ended up making the dress. I am so glad I trusted the process with that one.

There were so many highlights throughout the night. I loved seeing our friends and family from both sides come together. Dancing with my dad and with P was really special. The performances were incredible from start to finish and Adekunle Gold was phenomenal.

When we were planning both celebrations, I was worried they might feel too similar. In the end, the Lagos party felt completely different in the best possible way. It was the perfect way to end the trip, and seeing everyone have such a great time made me feel like the mission was truly accomplished. A special night, P’s family did a great job <3

The second half of December and the start of January were a complete blur, but in the moment, it was truly the BEST time. I had my traditional wedding in Ghana and it was such a special day.

There’s no way I could have brought that vision to life without the most amazing team. Even with the inevitable bumps that come with planning a wedding, I’m left with nothing but joy and gratitude for the entire experience.

I received so many questions about who did what, so I figured I wouldn’t gatekeep. Wedding planning is a lot and you need all the help you can get! I will also be following up with another post on the process, design and fashion soon :)

To say I’ve been MIA is an understatement! life has been lifing the hell out of me, and I’m still very much in the thick of it.

This is going out on P’s birthday so before we start, let’s begin with a special happy birthday to him - sending all the love, joy and light to a true gem <3

I have updates!

First big update: I moved apartments (wild, I know). I said goodbye to my little Brooklyn studio and made the leap into the City. It feels different, but I’m honestly loving it so far. New York is funny in that way, you get glued to your neighbourhood and rarely leave your bubble. I haven’t made it back to Brooklyn since the move, but a visit is overdue because I miss my people!

I’ll be sharing more of my new space next year, so stay tuned. Exciting times! Below is a pic of my final moment in the studio - this space was so good to me and taught me so much about myself - what I like/dusk like and how I live. I feel like I matured there. Forever grateful.

Second update: we are officially approaching Traditional Wedding season. I’m about a month out, and I can’t believe it’s finally here. I’m not stressed about the day itself, but more about the fact that it’s MY day. I’m not exactly an introvert, but I do enjoy doing my own thing in my little corner, so being the focal point all day is a lot. However I have put a lot into this, so I’m determined to have a GOOD time.

Where I’ve been…

I just got back from London, Accra and Lagos, and even though the flights were exhausting, it was exactly the reset I needed. I ate GOOD food, made real progress with traditional wedding planning and got to see some loved ones. I returned to New York at the perfect moment → holiday season. It’s Thanksgiving week and then straight into all the Christmas festivities, truly my favorite time of the year.

Apart from that quick trip, I have been in New york trying to get my life together, planning like my life depends on it, becoming best friends with the stairmaster and trying to eat right (couldn’t resist the waakye in Accra though).

Things I’m loving …

Home

Staub

I think it’s pretty clear by now that I’m a Staub lover. I bought their baking dishes last year in the most gorgeous green, and I’ve been obsessed ever since . I’ve also had my eye on their Dutch ovens for ages. The quality, the weight, the colours… it’s all so good. So when they reached out to me with a holiday gifting opportunity, I was genuinely over the moon. It felt like such a full-circle moment, and I couldn’t wait to add another beautiful piece to my little kitchen collection. I am in the process of setting up our new kitchen and they fit perfectly!

I went for the 4qt and 7qt in Eucalyptus - couldn’t be happier.

It’s holiday season so it’s the best time to buy or gift these. They’re great quality and you’ll have them for years and years!

Le Luxe

I’ve tried and tested these products quite a bit now, and I’ve also gone through two of the scents. I can’t lie, the product is genuinely good. I know it’s on the pricier side, but if it fits your budget, it really does elevate the whole laundry experience. I’ve used Fresh Cotton and Rose Glacé; Fresh Cotton is perfect for sheets and towels (more of a classic laundry smell), and Rose Glacé has become my go-to for clothing (more floral and sweet).

I also think Mel’s wet dryer sheet is such a smart idea. The scent concentration is high, so it actually absorbs into the fabric and the fragrance lasts on your clothes for a long time. I really really like the product and I’ve used it for a lot of batches and it hasn’t disappointed.

Skincare

One thing I’ve stayed strict and consistent with is my skincare routine. I’m a month out from the big day, and I don’t have time for anything to disrupt my flow. I’ve stuck to my usual serums; La Mer Concentrate and Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair. They’re classics for a reason, true oldies but goodies that have never failed me.

• I’m still loving my Elemis staples too: the cleansing balm and the dynamic resurfacing pads (highly recommend).

• The Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream has become both a day and night ritual, it never misses.

• I was recently gifted some products from Nécessaire, and I’m obsessed with the scent of their new Cyprès-Citronné range. The fragrance notes are Cyprès, Citronné, Bergamot and Cedar Atlas, which probably sounds like gibberish but trust me, it smells incredible. I’ve been using both the body wash and the body lotion. This is actually my second time trying Nécessaire; the first time I went for the fragrance-free range because I’m usually not a fan of scented moisturizers, but this new launch has completely converted me.

• I’m currently using Shani Darden’s cleansing serum, and if you need something super gentle, this is the one. It’s very lightweight and doesn’t create a full lather, but it removes everything and leaves your skin feeling incredibly soft. Shani Darden is especially known for her retinol, which I haven’t tried yet. I’m planning to test it in the new year and share my thoughts, but I’ve only heard amazing reviews so far.

I am also really happy with my new cabinet organization. It feels more organized and makes me feel like ive got my life together :)

What I’m Watching …

Apparently this is a fan-favorite section of the newsletter, or so I’ve been told :) One thing about me is I will always watch good TV and thankfully, TV has been delivering lately. Here’s what I’ve watched or am currently watching:

All Her Fault
Gripping and completely binge-worthy. Sarah Snook is brilliant and truly carries this show. So many twists and turns, absolutely worth the watch.

Beast in Me
Dark, sinister, and super compelling. It’s incredibly well executed. Also, someone please give Claire Danes a break! she stays playing chaotic women, but she does it so well.

Down Cemetery Road
A lighter-ish mystery compared to the first two, but still very entertaining and easy to get into. The matters in this are still very deep but there’s a light hearted, comedic factor to the show too.

All’s Fair
Ignore the critics — I love this show. The fashion alone is worth tuning in for. It’s definitely filling the And Just Like That–shaped hole for me, and I’m not mad at it. We don’t have much on our screens like this, so im not complaining and its a great cast.

The Pitt
If you loved Grey’s Anatomy but eventually tapped out, yet still want the hospital drama and the illusion that you understand medical jargon, this one’s perfect. There’s a new patient case every five minutes, and somehow you end up invested in every doctor. I binged it on the plane.

What I’m listening to…

I love a podcast and I listen to the below on rotation.

I’ll be including this list in every newsletter and updating it as things change. But for the most part, you’ll find me tuned into either insightful female-led conversations or something informative about world news.

• Dish by Waitrose - with Angela Hartnett and Nick Grimshaw -OMG, I am obsessed with this podcast. I binged so many episodes when I first discovered it. I love that there’s video too (food-related podcasts just feel better when you can watch as well as listen). Every episode makes me miss London, but also gets me so inspired to cook more.

  What makes it brilliant is the pairing of Angela and Nick. On paper, they couldn’t be more different, but together? Pure gold. If you love food, a good laugh, and something easy and uplifting to listen to, this one’s a must.

• The Sheerluxe Podcast- From the UK’s leading online fashion and lifestyle publisher, this podcast covers everything relevant to the modern woman. Absolutely love it, and their YouTube channel is just as brilliant. I also love the Middle East content- worth checking out too.

• Shameless - I found this podcast through TikTok and i love it. It is hosted by Melbourne-based journalists Michelle Andrews and Zara McDonald. Shameless is the pop culture podcast “for smart people who love dumb stuff.” With a mix of celebrity deep-dives, cultural commentary, and thoughtful discussions on the messiness of modern life. It strikes the perfect balance between substance and fun. I love it.

• Style-ish: Also a part of the shameless media family in Australia. This podcast is great if you love all things fashion, brand, business and beauty. I love Australian fashion so hearing things from an Australian perspective is fab!

• The Receipts Podcast- A fun, raw, and honest take on relationships, everyday situations, and pop culture with Tolly T and Audrey. Always a good time!

• I Said What I Said- The ultimate African millennial experience, brought to you by Jola & FK. These two are absolutely hilarious, sharing unfiltered takes on life in Nigeria.

• FT News Briefing - My go-to every morning on the subway. Fast, to the point, and keeps you updated on what’s happening in the world before your workday even begins.

• Whats News by WSJ- My lifesaver when I feel out of the loop. Perfect for deep dives into US politics and global news. I always turn to this after a holiday or time away from work to get back up to speed.

(For all the Brits…Fall sounded better than Autumn in the title. I’m still an ‘autumn girly’ -relax).

The last days of summer felt like a bit of a blur. It started off hectic, but I made a point of slowing down towards the end when I noticed burnout creeping in. Now that we are at the beginning of October, I feel like ‘back to school’ is in full swing. It’s funny how, even after so many years away from school, September and October still carry that ‘back-to-school’ energy.

I am knee-deep in traditional wedding planning, but we have made a lot of headway in the last few weeks so I’m feeling much more relaxed. One of the parts I’m truly enjoying is the blending of our cultures. Being Ghanaian and my fiancée Nigerian, it’s been such a joy to see our traditions come together and I’ve learnt so much about the nuances.

I am currently working through my Kente, Aso Oke and After party outfit, so the fun has begun! I am a little anxious that they are all being made from scratch (very normal for traditional weddings), however, I’m just praying and trusting the process. It will all work out in the end :)

There is a lot to get through for this newsletter and I actually think I may start making them shorter soon. It is so fun downloading an entire month/months on a newsletter, but it takes forever to get everything down and it’s probably far easier to update you all on a weekly basis. thoughts?

Where I’ve been…

Marthas Vineyard - Faraway

I haven’t travelled recently and I always like to start with a hotel, so i’m taking you back to August :)

This was my second time on Martha’s Vineyard, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. I spent a few days there for work and stayed at The Faraway Hotel and I can’t recommend this hotel enough if you’re visiting. The hotel strikes the perfect balance of intimacy and elegance; even the lobby alone is a showstopper. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms bright and thoughtfully designed, and the staff couldn’t be more welcoming. Best of all, it’s tucked right in the heart of Edgartown, making it an ideal home base.

I had a really lovely time. It’s always a busy trip with events because of work but the short moments I get to smell the hydrangeas and stuff my face with a lobster roll, are always blissful.

What I’ve been getting up to…

Ironman

LOL, definitely not me, I could never! But P ran the Ironman in September and absolutely crushed it. Watching him take it on and cross that finish line was both inspiring and emotional. That race is no joke, and I couldn’t be prouder. There’s nothing quite like seeing someone set their mind to such a massive challenge and actually achieve it. Truly truly impressive :)

Candlelight Concerts: Ed Sheeran x Coldplay

If you live in New York, you’ve probably seen this all over your feed. Last year they did a bunch of Beyoncé ones, which is what first got me curious. A few weeks ago P booked us tickets for the Ed Sheeran x Coldplay show and I loved it (I’m a fan of both, so it was perfect). Honestly, I’d say it’s worth going at least once because it’s such a fun experience and the talent is insane. There’s an Adele one coming up and I’m sooo tempted. Also, it’s only an hour, so you’re in and out before you know it but it still feels totally worth it.

The Armory Show: A Celebration of Women of Color in Art & Fashion

My friend Morenike hosted an incredible gathering for Women of Color in Art & Fashion, and I had to show up in support. It was such a beautiful evening—being in a room where so many brilliant women were celebrated and uplifted was truly special. We were also surrounded by Frederic Malle and the iconic Portrait of a Lady… what more could one ask for? I attended the same event last year, and it was wonderful to see how much it has grown and evolved. Bravo!

Pooky

Okay, everyone knows by now that I’m a big fan of Pooky lights. I just installed Swan Neck wall lights above my bed and it was instant cosy vibes. The patterns and prints they have are just gorgeous. I’m already planning my next move (literally), when I move in with P, I’ve got my bedside lamps from Pooky all picked out.

Last week I also got to check out Pooky’s New York Showroom Launch at the Design Center and the space is truly stunning. The wall of lampshades are a dream. If you don’t own anything from Pooky yet, you should! and if you don’t know where to start, the cordless lamp is a good place to start.

Jenni Kayne - Spring/Summer 2026 Preview

I was invited to the Jenni Kayne Spring/Summer Preview at their Soho store, and it was such a treat. I’ve always loved Jenni Kayne Home, especially their throws and candles. I really admire the way they capture that effortlessly neutral, warm aesthetic, so getting a first look at their clothing was extra special. I’ve had my eye on the Cooper Cardigan for a while now (this might finally be the season I cave), and after seeing the new collection, I’m also in love with the Demi Pant and the Organza pieces. For now, I’ll keep living in my JK Boyfriend White Shirt—it’s such good quality and transitions perfectly from office to weekend looks.

This preview was extra special because Jenni Kayne partnered with stylist Kate Young to create a NYFW experience. The collection, titled Grounded, had such a strong connection to nature, both in the atmosphere of the room and in the materials and designs themselves. I honestly had the best time, and I can’t wait for the collection to drop.

Things I’m loving …

I’ve been a bit of a homebody recently. I feel like I’m juggling, work, wedding and a lot of other things so I’ve been trying to stay home and rest when I can. My aim this month is focusing on being still so I’m really looking forward to the hibernation that fall and winter welcomes. A little strange, I know, your girl is tired.

Laundry

My laundry game has seriously leveled up thanks to Dedcool. I first discovered the brand through their collaboration with Ouai on the Melrose Place scent andI was hooked instantly and used it over and over again. Such a dreamy collab!

I’ve always believed that every part of life, even the most routine things, can be elevated if you want them to be. Autumn/Fall is officially here, and I’m so excited to bring out my cold-weather candles. I’ve recently added a few from Flamingo Estate and The New Savant to my collection, and they’re going to be perfect for this season. My fave from the New Savant is ‘Library in a Forest, it’s the perfect fall scent and you can never go wrong with the Tomato scent from Flamingo Estate.

I am moving soon and I cant wait to start sharing my new apartment project in the new year. So far I’ve made purchases from Lulu & Georgia, McGee & Co and Little Greene Paint - so much going on and I can’t wait to share :)

Forgrave Tea

I’m a true tea LOVER. I always have a lemon & ginger or peppermint sachet tucked in my bag (no exaggeration). Herbal teas are a daily ritual for me, and my nighttime lemon & ginger is non-negotiable.

Recently, I was gifted the most luxurious tea set from Forgrave, and honestly, it’s the dream present for any tea lover. The glass cigar is so chic and elevates the whole tea experience—it makes every cup feel special. I couldn’t be happier with this gift; it genuinely made my week! Merit Beauty

I’m new to Merit this year, and I have to say, I’m enjoying the products so far. The Flush Balms are brilliant: beautifully pigmented with the perfect glow. I know everyone raves about Après (which I do have and like), but my personal favorite is Fox. It’s a little more subtle, but the pigment and glow are spot on for me and I’ve been reaching for it every single day. I’m also obsessed with their lip liner in Brownstone… another daily staple.

I’m planning to try more from the brand over time, so I’ll keep you posted, but so far, I am very, very impressed :)

Elemis

As a Brit, I feel slightly guilty that I hadn’t properly tried Elemis until this year. I’d had two facials at their London spa (very good), but for some reason never brought their products into my own routine. Recently I finally did and now I completely understand why Elemis is such a cult favourite.

I’ve always said cleansing balms don’t work for my skin, but the Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm is the exception. I think this works for me because Iit melts beautifully into an oil-like texture when you warm it up in your hands, so it doesnt feel sticky on my skin. I’m also a huge fan of the Dynamic Resurfacing Pads. I’ve been using them nightly after cleansing, and they’ve been incredible. The pads combine lactic acid with a probiotic ferment complex to gently exfoliate, sweep away dead skin cells, and boost natural cell turnover.

That said, a little caveat: because they contain acids, I’d always recommend patch-testing or easing them in, just to see how your skin responds—even if, like me, you end up loving them its always a good idea to patch test (I did). I also don’t have a lot of acids in my routine, so I think that’s why I didn’t get any irritation.

Fashion - Leopard print / any print

I’ve always loved leopard print, but lately I’ve started to see it less as a “print” and more as a neutral. Which basically means I’m no longer shying away from having a lot of it in my wardrobe. Honestly, I think it works beautifully year-round.

There are a few leopard pieces on my radar right now, and I’d love your thoughts:

Jil Sander – I stopped by their SoHo store to try on the T-bar sandals (been eyeing these forever—what do we think?), but I also spotted a pair of leopard print mules that were so good. I think they’d make the perfect fall mule because they cover most of the foot. I know this is going to be a marmite kind of thing but I love them.

Khaite – On a recent trip to Hirshleifers (my first time there and what an incredible, beautifully curated store!) I saw their animal print ankle boots (not leopard, but gorgeous). Khaite boots are always a win—I have the Davis Patent Leather pair and they come out every winter. Such a good buy and now I’m tempted to get these ones. I’m trying to buy one good boot a year and slowly build a collection.

Alaïa Le Teckel Bag – I’ve been debating this bag for a while and couldn’t decide on a color. Black felt a bit too safe, white is stunning but not the most practical… and then I saw it in leopard. Different, unexpected, and somehow makes a trendy bag feel a little less “trendy.” What do we think?

So, so good and absolutely gripping. I was Team Laura the whole way through. The people who are Team Cherry… interesting choice ! If this had been a story about Cherry being mistreated by Laura because of her background, I’d be Team Cherry ALL the way. But that’s not what this is. Don’t want to spoil anything here, but happy to swap notes with anyone who’s already watched!

Unforgotten

This is another one of my “Who did it?” shows, as P likes to call them. I love a series that keeps you guessing the whole way through and anything Harlan Coben-style, I’m all in. Unforgotten is exactly that: it focuses on a cold case that’s reopened after new evidence surfaces. Each season follows multiple people who could have been involved, while a detective team works to piece everything together.

• Dish by Waitrose - with Angela Hartnett and Nick Grimshaw -OMG, I am obsessed with this podcast. I binged so many episodes when I first discovered it. I love that there’s video too (food-related podcasts just feel better when you can watch as well as listen). Every episode makes me miss London, but also gets me so inspired to cook more.

  What makes it brilliant is the pairing of Angela and Nick. On paper, they couldn’t be more different, but together? Pure gold. If you love food, a good laugh, and something easy and uplifting to listen to, this one’s a must.

• The Sheerluxe Podcast- From the UK’s leading online fashion and lifestyle publisher, this podcast covers everything relevant to the modern woman. Absolutely love it, and their YouTube channel is just as brilliant. I also love the Middle East content- worth checking out too.

• Shameless - I found this podcast through TikTok and i love it. It is hosted by Melbourne-based journalists Michelle Andrews and Zara McDonald. Shameless is the pop culture podcast “for smart people who love dumb stuff.” With a mix of celebrity deep-dives, cultural commentary, and thoughtful discussions on the messiness of modern life. It strikes the perfect balance between substance and fun. I love it.

• Style-ish: Also a part of the shameless media family in Australia. This podcast is great if you love all things fashion, brand, business and beauty. I love Australian fashion so hearing things from an Australian perspective is fab!

• The Receipts Podcast- A fun, raw, and honest take on relationships, everyday situations, and pop culture with Tolly T and Audrey. Always a good time!

• I Said What I Said- The ultimate African millennial experience, brought to you by Jola & FK. These two are absolutely hilarious, sharing unfiltered takes on life in Nigeria.

• FT News Briefing - My go-to every morning on the subway. Fast, to the point, and keeps you updated on what’s happening in the world before your workday even begins.

I couldn’t bear the thought of writing ‘JULY State of Mind’ in mid-August, so I figured Summer Moments was more fitting, LOL!

That being said, July treated me well!!! It’s my birthday month, so it will always be my favourite month of the year. I stayed in New York, which was lovely, especially after a few busy months of travel. However, I enjoyed a little staycation with P, which was an absolute joy. On top of that, I’ve added a few new things to my home and bathroom cabinet—always a fun little thrill.

So lets dive in!

Where I’ve been…

Wildflower Farms - Auberge Resort

Wildflower Farms simply feels like stepping into a serene dreamscape. From the moment we arrived, the experience lived up to every beautiful image I’d seen online, but better!

Check-in set the tone for the stay: thoughtful and welcoming, complete with a refreshing hand cleanse, a wellness shot, and a warm introduction to everything the property has to offer.

We stayed in one of the gorgeous bower cabins and it felt like a true sanctuary. It was cosy, calming, and designed with an organic palette and artisan-made furnishings (is earthy-chic a thing?). P had mentioned it was my birthday and they very sweetly surprised me with birthday treats, which made the arrival even more special.

The bathroom was a highlight in itself , spa-like, with beautiful stone finishes and luxurious amenities. And the icing on the cake was the private terrace, which offered the perfect space to disconnect, unwind, and take in the surrounding peace.

In terms of activities and things to do- there is plenty. We tried a mixology class and learnt how to craft the perfect cocktail. They also offer pizza making classes, floral arrangements, farm tours and much more.

There is one restaurant on-site called Clay, which is yummy! It’s a farm-to-table restaurant, so everything tasted super fresh. I don’t know if you can tell but I love breakfast. Im not fancy with it in the work week but when I travel, Im all in! But basically, the breakfast at Clay was GREAT (don’t skip the olive oil pancakes!).

The Thistle Spa was another standout. Thoughtfully curated with high-quality products (biologique recherche and others!). The saltwater pool, was a deeply relaxing experience in itself. There is also a large fitness and movement studio, and a schedule of complimentary classes offered daily.

Wildflower Farms was the reminder I didn’t know I needed: to slow down, reconnect with nature, and savor the little things. It was the most perfect getaway. I’m already dreaming of my return (I can only imagine how magical it must be in the winter months).

Recent Eats …

Kinjo

There’s a new omakase gem in Brooklyn, and wow, the food is incredible. For just $90 (that’s GOOD for nyc standards), you’re treated to some of the best sushi I’ve had in ages. Honestly, I’m already thinking about when I can book my next visit.

The space itself is lovely. It’s a narrow room with warm, moody lighting that makes it feel super lux but not too uptight. You get front-row seats to a masterclass in sushi-making, watching skilled omakase chefs craft each piece with precision.

To caveat, don’t be surprised if you find yourself ordering a few extra dishes after the full course. Everything is just so good. I’ll be going back again, and again... and again.

Cafe Zaffri

I celebrated my birthday this year at Café Zaffri with a few friends after Wildflower, and it’s stunning. It’s the restaurant within the members club Twenty Two, but it’s the section that is open to the public and trust me, you want to see this place. The interiors are next-level. I genuinely need to find out who the designer was, because every detail felt meticulously curated, from the statement wallpaper and plush velvet seating to the warm, ambient lighting. It’s one of those spaces you could happily spend hours in. Cozy, elegant, and effortlessly chic.

Honestly, words don’t do it justice. If you’re in New York, just go. It’s the perfect spot for a birthday dinner, a celebration, or any night you want to feel a little bit special. The food was excellent too (get the fish), but really, it’s the ambience that steals the show.

Pooky Lights

I’ve already shared a reel and plenty of content about my Pooky cordless lamp, but honestly it deserves all the hype. It’s such a game-changer for the home. I really can’t stand visible wires, and if I could go completely cordless with all my lamps, I absolutely would. Right now, I’ve got cables taped behind or under furniture just to keep them out of sight, so when I say I’m a true fan of cordless lighting, I mean it.

What makes Pooky even better is how effortlessly stylish their designs are. Think beautiful fabrics, rich colours, and patterns that feel both classic and contemporary. I’ve loved Pooky for years, so getting the chance to collaborate with them was honestly a dream come true.

I’ve just received even more lighting from them, and the transformation in my apartment is so exciting. so, stay tuned.

Pura Smart Fragrance Diffuser

Anyone that knows me knows I’m all about scent! it’s non-negotiable for me that my home smells as good as it looks. The best compliment anyone can give me when they walk into my apartment is, “Ooo, it smells amazing in here,'“ and my tool…a great diffuser.

Reed diffusers are lovely, especially in smaller spaces, but if you want your entire room to feel wrapped in fragrance, you need something more powerful, like an electric or smart diffuser.

I was recently sent the Pura Smart Fragrance Diffuser, and I’m genuinely impressed. Not only does it fill the space beautifully, but their latest scent collaboration with Studio McGee is so well done. I’m currently obsessed with Jasmine Honeysuckle, and I’ve got Violet Fig, White Bergamot, and Santal next on my list to try. I love Studio McGee so I was excited about this collab.

Porta

I’ve raved about Porta before, and for good reason because it’s truly one of my favorite little gems in Brooklyn. If you love unique dinnerware and quirky trinkets that feel a little different, they absolutely understand the assignment.

I picked up my beloved artichoke dish from them last year, and to this day, it’s one of the pieces my guests comment on the most. It lives on my dining table and holds my earrings, hand cream, and other small bits I like to keep within reach. It’s functional and beautiful. I really want to get a set of the artichoke bowls - those are also super cute!

I popped in again last weekend and left with the sweetest box of matches. It’s now living on my coffee table, adding a subtle but thoughtful touch to the overall vibe.

I have a few more Porta pieces on my wishlist — like the radicchio bowls and salt & pepper shakers (how cute are those?!), and I’m seriously considering adding them to my wedding registry. Fun, playful, and full of charm — just how I like it.

Skincare & Wellness

Sable Labs

A couple of weeks ago, Sable Labs sent me their Qasil Cleanser and Rooibos Micellar Water, and I’ve been testing them out and so far, I’m impressed!

The cleanser is super thorough and it removes everything in one go without stripping the skin. I’ve used it on and off and honestly have no complaints. But the real standout for me, is the micellar water. I’ve used it every single day since it arrived, and it’s officially earned a permanent spot in my skincare kit.

What sets it apart is the spray bottle packaging. It makes application so easy and mess-free, especially when I’m travelling (I have so many stories of micellar ending up all over my stuff!). My skin also feels incredibly soft afterwards, and the travel-friendly design is such a win. Honestly, I’m surprised more micellar water brands haven’t caught on to this, it’s such a game-changer and totally won me over.

Victoria Beckham Beauty

I am really loving Victoria Beckham Beauty at the moment. The products feel luxe and high quality and they don’t smudge! A few of the products have totally earned a spot in my regular rotation. Here’s what I’m currently using and loving:

1. The Cell Rejuvenating Illuminator by Augustinus Bader (shade: Golden) - this is the night-out/evening primer. Love it

2. The Satin Kajal eyeliner (black): smooth and doesn’t smudge which is great. Also lasts forever and you don’t need much at all as the pigment is quite strong.

3. Vast Lash Mascara - This is perfect for my lower lashes, especially since I usually wear individual falsies on top. It defines without clumping and feels super lightweight. It’s now one of my top three mascaras — right up there with Pat McGrath’s Dark Star Volumizing and NARS Climax.

4. Fragrance: The Portofino ‘97 scent is lovely for the summertime. I also recently tried San Ysidro Drive. I didn’t love it at first, but once it settled on my skin? Beautiful. It’s one of those scents that really comes to life when worn.

Arrae Tone Gummies

I’ve been hearing a lot about creatine and its benefits for muscle recovery, so I decided to give the Arrae Tone gummies a try. I’m now on my second jar, and while I’m still in the middle of my fitness journey (not quite ripped and toned yet), I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my recovery. The usual second-day soreness after a Solidcore class basically feels much more manageable.

Personally, I like to feel some muscle soreness (just enough to know it's working), but not so much that it drags down my workouts for the rest of the week. These gummies have really helped strike that balance. Plus, they come in a great gummy form and actually taste pretty good!

If you’re curious, Creatine apparently helps with:

• Strength and Power

• Supports muscle growth and aids muscle recovery

• Increases workout endurance

• recommended amount 3-5g a day (I started with 3 gummies and worked my way up to 4)

Omg, I’m obsessed with this show! I’ve always loved Tracee Ellis Ross! her style is beyond, so I was instantly intrigued the moment I heard about it. The series follows her solo travel adventures, capturing both the highs and the real, raw moments that come with exploring the world on your own (I loved her honesty around loneliness),

I’ve watched the first three episodes so far, and I loved seeing her experiences in Morocco, Mexico, and Spain. The storytelling is beautiful, and every single look she wears is just stunning. Definitely worth the watch if you're into travel and fashion.

June was a great month overall. I spent quite a bit of time in the air (not exactly the most exciting part), but every destination and event made it completely worthwhile. Safe to say, there were smiles all around! There’s quite a lot to get through as usual, so lets get into it …

Where I’ve been…

Homebound: New York

I attended my first New York wedding and it was lovely! It was actually the wedding of my friends who moved from London a few months before I did. I went to Uni with the groom so it was a joy to watch him and his Wife Cassie make it official in New York. They have been together for years so it really felt like watching too close friends tie the knot which is always emotional and sentimental for many reasons. My favourite part of the wedding was the dinner at Lafayette! The room was stunning, I loved the personalized postcards, the Chargers were divine, the speeches were 10/10 and vibes were immaculate!

My favorite part of the celebration was the dinner at Lafayette. The space was breathtaking, the personalized postcards were such a thoughtful touch, the chargers were divine, the speeches were a solid 10/10, and reuniting with old friends was so fun.

Cassie is also a fabulous Youtuber/content creator so definitely follow her and watch her bridal journey too!

Palo Alto, California

I had the joy of attending P’s sister’s graduation from Stanford, and it was such an incredible experience. Watching her reach such a major milestone was truly special, and getting to explore Stanford and be part of an American graduation ceremony again made it even more memorable. This was my second time attending a U.S. graduation, and I’m always amazed by how different the whole experience is compared to graduations in the UK. e.g its a mix of casual and formal in the US and there are multiple ceremonies.

I think I mentioned this in my last newsletter, but Katie Ledecky’s speech was amazing! She has won 14 Olympic medals (9 of them are gold = beast).

The day before our California trip, I panicked because I couldn’t find anything to wear. I went to COS, Mango and Zara and ended up finding this lovely white poplin midi dress in Zara. I paired it with a Stanford Straw hat (so cute) and my Bottega Andiamo Clutch and I was good to go!

Lastly, our graduation dinner was at RH Palo Alto and I couldn’t have been more excited! The design was, as always, absolutely gorgeous, and the restaurant space was everything! RH truly excels when it comes to decor and ambiance! I highly recommend for a special occasion! It’s within a complex that has all the large design stores but I didn’t have enough time to take advantage- next time!

Portugal

Wedding - Porto

Next stop: Porto for another wedding! I absolutely love wedding season! The dress reveal, the vows, the reception, the dancing. Literally every moment feels magical.

This wedding was especially meaningful for both P and I, as I’m friends with the bride and he’s friends with the groom. My favorite parts of the wedding festivities was the all-white welcome party (loved the vibes) and during the ceremony was the wine box: the couple placed their vows in a box along with a bottle of wine, to be opened in five years, which I thought was very cute.

The bride looked amazing and I adored her Vera Wang gown. You can find all her fits on her TikTok: KJ Barely Bougie . She is also hilarious, so thank me later xx

The white dress I wore to the welcome party is from Mango - it had a puffed hem and I loved it! The brown dress I wore for the wedding is from a site called Babyboo (thankful that the brand popped up on my instagram).

Torel Saboaria - Porto…

I promised to add hotels to my newsletters and this month I have two!

I was in Porto for three nights, and we stayed at two different hotels. Honestly, bless P because he fully indulges my love for hotels and is more than happy to hotel-hop with me on a single trip. He even patiently waits outside the room for 15 minutes while I capture my photos and video content. That said, I always do my best to make it worth his while by choosing standout hotels that we’ll both enjoy! So far, so good.

First stop was Torel Saboaria and it was a true gem in the middle of Porto. It felt intimate (only 28 rooms), it was beautifully curated, and was the perfect way to start our trip. The hotel is part of the Torel Boutiques collection, a group of six unique hotels across Portugal.

The rooms were charming and spacious and I loved the exposed brick walls. The best part of the rooms were definitely the bathroom (wallpaper 10/10). The whole vibe is earthy and elegant.

If you’re into places that feel intimate and homey but still special, I’d definitely recommend Torel Saboaria. And if you’re traveling around Portugal, it’s worth checking out the rest of the Torel Boutiques hotels as well—they look just as dreamy

The Lince Santa Clara - Vila do Condo…

The Lince Santa Clara has officially earned a spot in my top three hotel stays to date. I booked it expecting a lovely experience but wow, it truly felt like a retreat. If you’re staying here, you honestly don’t need to leave. It’s the kind of place where everything slows down in the best way and it is pure relaxation, elevated by stunning design.

The rooms are minimalist yet luxurious and chic! Every detail from the textures to the finishes feels thoughtfully curated and high-end. The service was exceptional, literally anytime we needed something, it arrived within minutes.

But the true gem of this hotel is the Aqueduto Wellness & Spa by Sisley Paris. Just... wow. It’s tranquil, beautifully designed, and so calming. The best way to describe this hotel is the type of hotel you would expect nine perfect strangers to be filmed in (if you watch it, you’ll understand what I mean).

Anyway, back to the Sisley spa…I had a facial and massage. It was my first time trying the brand and I loved the texture and scent of everything, especially with the Black Rose range (she used the Black Rose Beautifying Emulsion Cream on me and I’m still thinking about the gorgeous scent!).

There are plenty of serene spaces to unwind, both indoors and out, and the food offerings are solid. After my facial I was escorted to the garden with tea and fruit and I just sat and relaxed for an hour (bliss!).

In the evening, we tried Restaurant Mosteiro on the lower level. The hotel also has a Michelin-starred spot, Oculto, in the basement (sadly we didn’t have time to try it, but it’s on my list for next time).

Truly, words don’t do this hotel justice. If you’re ever in Portugal, I can’t recommend making the trip to Vila do Conde enough just to experience this place. We only stayed one night, but it was worth every moment. I’d return in a heartbeat.

Things I’m Loving - Olivia Von Halle…

I try to focus on Home, Hotels and Skin but I get so many comments on my pajama sets! The ones that have been getting a lot of attention are the Olivia Von Halle x M&S and the Olivia Von Halle ones. The price differential between the collab and namesake is big so it was such a treat that the collab even happened. Plus, M&S is a great quality brand anyway so I was like YES PLEASE, ALL OF IT.

I wore my new my new Olivia Von Halle set in Portugal, and I’m completely obsessed. I’d had my eye on the green set for ages, so when it finally went on sale, I was on it. Honestly, they’re far too precious to sleep in so I treat them more like luxury loungewear and occasionally wear them out, depending on the vibe. I wore them to dinner that evening and it was perfect.

I also loved her collaboration with M&S (sadly now sold out). I stocked up on quite a few pieces from that range, because Olivia Von Halle for £55? Absolute steal. Those are the ones I actually sleep in! :) I also float around my studio apartment in the robes - If you can’t already tell, I am fully in my Carrie Bradshaw studio living era and I am MAXING IT OUT.

Skin/Hair…

Empties

I’ve been holding onto my empties all month so I could properly document everything I’ve used down to the last drop. I only recommend products I genuinely use and love, because let’s be real, skincare isn’t cheap. That said, I’ll occasionally share new arrivals, but I’ll always be transparent and let you know if I haven’t tried them yet and say something like “excited to try” or “first impressions.” But all of the empties below have been tried and tested fully!

1. SIDIA Body Serum (wired scent): Loved this. It was the perfect body moisturizer for spring. It’s lightweight but nourishing, which was ideal as New York started to warm up. It’s scented, so keep that in mind, but I personally love the fragrance.

2. Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Tonic: An old favorite that I just reordered. I’ve been using it for years. It’s a super gentle, no-fuss toner that does exactly what it promises.

3. One Size setting spray: The girls didn’t disappoint, and neither did this product. It does exactly what it says on the tin: sets everything in place and locks it down. I just picked up the new sunscreen version because I can never say no to extra protection. My current routine: I start with the Naked Sundays SPF Glow Mist for that subtle radiance, then follow with this to set everything.

4. Sofie Pavitt Micellar Cleansing pads: These have been a travel game-changer. I’ve been on the move a lot lately, and I hate packing micellar water bottles because of spillage stories! These are pre-soaked pads so they are super convenient, and effective. I double cleanse, so I tend to use this for eye makeup removal as most removers irritate my eyes, but these don’t.

5. Mutha Body Butter Melt: Mutha are on to something. I’ve tried the Body Butter, Body Butter Melt and the Body Scrub and they’re all very very good.

   1. As a Ghanaian, I know my way around shea butter, so I don’t usually get too excited about shea-based products. But the Butter Melt was a game changer. The texture sits perfectly between a traditional dense shea butter and a shea oil, which makes it easier to apply. I'm on my second tube now, and I love using it on the areas that need extra care: feet, elbows, chest... anywhere that tends to get dry or needs a little glow. In the heat I’m also using a lighter moisturizer but certain areas always require extra (light won’t cut it).

I have recently ordered the below items or I have been gifted them by brands and I’m yet to used them!

1. Necessaire - The Body Lotion: I currently use the Eucalyptus Body Scrub which is epic so I wanted to try this body lotion. I also decided to go for the fragrance free one for the summer months because my fragrance game is much stronger in the summer, and I didn’t need the interference.

2. Pattern Beauty- Leave in Conditioner: I’ve been using this for a little while now and I love the way my hair feels after using it and it makes it so easy to blow-dry. Full transparency, I can’t stand the scent of the yellow range so I was a happy girl when the Palo Santo range came out. I am not a hair guru so any hair product recommendations are welcome- truly!

3. Mother Science Molecular Hero Serum: I was kindly gifted this a month ago and have been using it consistently for the past two weeks and so far, I’m really impressed. I’d seen it all over social media, so I was curious to see what the hype was about. It’s formulated to target dark spots, even out skin tone, and help with sun damage. I’m still in the testing phase, so I’ll share a more in-depth review soon—but initial impressions are definitely promising.

4. Amika - The Kure Range: I have heard so much about Amika from so many different people with vastly different hair textures. Lately, my hair’s been in repair mode, so I’ve been on the lookout for a solid mask and some new products to help me get back on track.

   I tried the shampoo and mask and honestly, I loved them. My hair felt incredibly smooth and silky afterward. As a Black girl, you know a product is a no-go when your hair feels dry, rough, or stripped post-wash (major red flag). But this was the total opposite! hydrating, softening, and just overall lovely.

   When I shared it on Instagram, so many of you responded with your own experiences and there was also lots of love for the orange and blue ranges too.

5. One Size Sunscreen Setting Spray: mentioned this above. Best setting spray - truly!

6. SURI Electric Toothbrush: I was gifted this electric toothbrush, and honestly, I almost said no because I haven’t used the one I own in a long time. But I’m SO glad I said yes. Every time I brush my teeth it feels like I’ve just left the hygienist —it’s reminded me just how good an electric toothbrush can be. I’d stopped using one in the past because mine was bulky and constantly running out of battery. This one, though, is different—and here’s why I love it:

   1. 40+ day battery lives - this is CRITICAL!

   2. Has a lovely travel case, its compact and chic ;)

   3. Sustainable materials, Waterproof and easy to clean

F1

Quick note before I wrap up—this technically doesn’t belong in June, but I watched the F1 movie yesterday and absolutely LOVED it. Highly recommend!

I’ve seen mixed reviews, and I think I get why: if you're already a hardcore F1 fan, it might feel a bit surface-level. But if you're new to the sport or just curious, it’s epic. It offers a great introduction to the world of F1—covering the process, the engineering, the strategy, and the different players involved.

I really enjoyed it, and it’s definitely sparked my interest in following F1 more closely going forward!

If I’m being completely honest, the past few months have felt like a blur. Just one more wedding on the calendar, and then I’ll finally be done with travel for a bit and back to a regular schedule- promise (and i’ve started Junes already)! Also, please like and comment if you enjoy reading this (just so I know I’m not alone, ty!)

I almost skipped this newsletter, thinking it was too late. However, I realised that not doing it at all would feel worse than sending it out a bit behind schedule.

I started this at the weekend, in my hotel room after attending a Stanford graduation, still feeling energized by Katie Ledecky’s incredible commencement speech. Her words were a powerful reminder to keep showing up and giving my best, no matter the timing. So, with that spirit in mind, here’s my monthly roundup…

Where I’ve been….

Croatia

I went to Dubrovnik for P’s dad’s birthday, which was absolutely lovely. (P = my other half. He rarely gets a mention here, so it’s about time I brought him to life! 😊)

I flew out at midnight on Friday, landed in Croatia Saturday evening (shoutout to the time difference for really doing the most), and caught a 7am flight on Tuesday to make it back to New York in time for the office on Wednesday.

It was a whirlwind trip, but such a special one. The views were STUNNING! There was also plenty of great conversation, delicious food, and stunning views. My highlights were definitely the quality time with his family, the Game of Thrones tour (okay, it’s not that impressive, but as a fan I had zero regrets), dinner at Porto, and an unforgettable boat day out to BOWA. I would definitely do Croatia again but my next stop has got to be Hvar!

Dr Barbara Sturm Anti-Inflammatory Haus

Dr. Barbara Sturm hosted an impressive pop-up in New York this May. A townhouse transformed into a stunning Sturm activation. If you’ve been following me for a while, you already know I love the brand. This isn’t a new obsession; I’ve been using their products since lockdown, and they’ve consistently delivered.

The Enzyme Cleanser is a staple in my routine—truly an OG (Wednesdays and Sundays only). And the Hyaluronic Serum? Spectacular (it comes with a hefty price tag, so it’s not for the faint of heart, but if you’re looking to invest in a high-quality hyaluronic, this one is absolutely worth considering). I also really love they Eye patches so I try and have one or two on standby, especially for travel.

The Aimee Song Collection - Lulu & Georgia

As many of you know by now, I’m newly engaged (!) and gearing up to move out of my apartment later this year. It’s such an exciting milestone, but also a big transition.

On the bright side, I get to start this new chapter with P and dive headfirst into a brand-new home project, which I’m honestly thrilled about. And when I say we’re starting from scratch, I mean everything! walls getting painted, full revamp, the works.

Whenever I find a spare moment, I’ve been scrolling for inspiration on how I’d love our new home to look. I have to say, I’ve come across a lot of great collaborations, but Aimee Song’s collection with Lulu and Georgia really stands out. I’m obsessed with the textures, the earthy tones, and those gorgeous curved lines. I will definitely be getting a few items from her collection this year. Below are a few of my top picks:

Hotels on my mind….

Janu

I love hotels and it’s genuinely one of my favorite parts of traveling. There’s something so exciting about discovering new spaces and soaking up inspiration for future home ideas. Starting with this letter, I’ll be including a hotel in each newsletter — one that I find interesting, that’s on my wishlist, or that I’ve stayed in and absolutely loved.

What I enjoy most is how hotels let you step into a completely different interior style, even if just for a short while. It’s like living in someone else’s beautifully designed world. I’m not overly particular when it comes to hotel design. For me, it’s all about thoughtful execution. Whether it’s the serene minimalism of an Aman or the bold, wallpaper-filled charm of a Firmdale hotel, I can appreciate it all.

Now, onto this week’s hotel pick: Janu.
If you haven’t heard of it, Janu is the sister brand to Aman. It was created to be a more accessible version of the iconic luxury brand. While it’s definitely more budget-friendly compared to Aman, “affordable” is still relative.

That said, I’d love to experience one- and fast! They are expanding fast with upcoming locations in Turks & Caicos, Turkey, Montenegro, Portugal, Dubai, and more.

The hotels are absolutely beaut and just like their sister brand, every detail feels thoughtfully considered. It’s definitely high on my wishlist and I think it deserves a spot on yours too.

Skincare notes…

Chantecaille

I was gifted The Chantecaille Blanc Peony Eye Serum Dark Spot Corrector product last month and have been using it consistently for the past four weeks and I’m really loving it so far.

I’ve always had a bit of darkness under my eyes (pretty common!), and honestly, I never paid too much attention to it. But when I received this, I figured it was worth a try and I’m so glad I did. My under-eye area definitely looks brighter and less dark.

On weekends, I usually skip makeup unless I have plans, but I used to always swipe on a bit of concealer under my eyes. Lately, I haven’t felt the need to anymore, which is amazing.Like most skincare, the results are gradual, but this is definitely working. I’m impressed!

What i’m watching …

And Just Like That

I’m a Sex and the City stan through and through. It’s one of my all-time favorite shows, and definitely high on my rewatch list. When And Just Like That first premiered, I totally understood the backlash, they were doing a lot. However, the fashion alone was enough to keep me watching. It’s just too good to resist.

Beyond that, I’m genuinely invested in all the characters and their stories, so I’m just happy to have them back on my screen. Also, the addition of LTW and Seema !!! Chef’s kiss. Perfect casting, and they blend into the group so seamlessly.

DeptQ

This is good. You have to stick with it through the end of episode 1 and that’s when everything really clicks. Once it does, you’ll be hooked, I swear. You already know I’m obsessed with detective shows, and this one is right up my street. I don’t want to give too much away, but the case at the center of it is seriously captivating.

Trust me: just get through episode 1, and you’ll be all in.

This is EXTREMELY LATE…I know.

Life has been lifing lately! All amazing things but it’s just all happening at once. The secret’s already out, but in case you missed it — I’M ENGAGED!!! 💍 It all went down during a surprise trip to Positano (absolute dream and not sure if it’s fully sunk in yet).

Right after that, I flew back to New York — only to leave four days later for my close friend’s wedding in Ghana. From there, I headed to London to renew my visa, and now and I should be returning back to my studio apartment in NY soon.

So yes… a lot is going on and explains why I’m behind on all my content right now. But I am going to stick to my usual system and take you through all the things that happened in April- it’s late, but it’s a special one :)

Where I’ve Been…

Positano

At the start of the year, I made a promise to myself to dial back on travel. As much as I love exploring new places, I spent a lot of time on planes last year — and truthfully, I’m not the biggest fan of flying. With a few weddings and planned trips already on the calendar, I decided to hold off on any major travel until Q2.

My first trip of the year was meant to be Ghana at the end of April for my friend’s wedding. I was beyond excited — not just to celebrate love, but also to reconnect with family and close friends I hadn’t seen in a while.

Then… out of nowhere, my other half swooped in the week before Easter, saying he desperately needed a getaway and wanted to plan a quick trip somewhere nearby. He threw out all kinds of options — Miami, Charleston, Mexico City — you name it, he suggested it. The moment he mentioned Mexico City, my ears immediately perked up. It’s been on my travel list for years — the design scene, the food, the boutique hotels, the vintage shopping… it’s a city that’s hard to resist.

HOWEVER — I actually ended up on surprise trip to Italy!! The full story of the proposal and how it all unfolded is a long (and very special) one, so I think I’ll save that for another time. But let me just say: the entire trip was pure magic from start to finish.

But….I have to talk about the ring. At first, I was leaning toward something classic and understated, something that would ‘stand the test of time’. But then I discovered Arielle Ratner, and everything changed. Her work is so unique, so thoughtful and SO beautiful. Deep down, I knew I wanted something a little different, so I am thrilled that I found her. She is also an absolute gem of a person- the entire team- LOVE LOVE LOVE!

After I looked through all her designs, I had a clear sense of the style I loved. I shared my vision, handed it over to him… and said a little prayer.It was really important to me that the ring came from a New York jeweller, since this is where our relationship began and truly blossomed. So now the ring will always be a beautiful reminder of that chapter of our story.

Now let’s get into where we stayed - Le Sirenuse!!! - It completely stole my heart. I adored every single moment there. I think most people have this hotel on their wishlist and I totally understand why.

Le Sirenuse has been around for decades — and that history is part of its undeniable charm. The hotel first opened its doors in 1951, when siblings Anna, Aldo, Paolo, and Franco Sersale decided to transform their family’s summer home into an intimate hotel with just a handful of rooms. Over the years, it quietly evolved into something extraordinary — not just a symbol of Italian elegance, but one of the most iconic and dream-worthy hotels.

It’s nearly impossible to choose my favorite part of the hotel — but if I had to narrow it down, it would be a tie between La Sponda and the pool area. The views from both are absolutely breathtaking; no matter where you stand, you're surrounded by beauty.

To top it off, the breakfast at La Sponda is so good. Every day started in the best way possible — the setup, the sunlight, the attention to detail. Everything is fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented.

We stayed at Le Sirenuse for just two nights — a whirlwind visit — so I didn’t get to experience everything, but what I did soak in was unforgettable. Because it’s where I got engaged, it will forever hold a special place in my heart. I have no doubt we’ll be back to create even more beautiful memories.

Le Sirenuse is an absolute gem. The staff are warm and attentive, the rooms are stunning, the food is truly next level — it’s hospitality executed with elegance and care.

Capri

We took a quick boat ride to Capri, and I was so excited to explore — especially the shops. I love visiting boutique stores in warm destinations. They always feel more adventurous and expressive with their interiors, and Capri didn’t disappoint.

The standouts? Jacquemus, Bottega, and Saint Laurent — all beautifully curated spaces.

Ravello

On our last day, we decided to take a drive to Ravello to check out the iconic Caruso Hotel — and let me tell you, the drive from Positano to Ravello is everything. Every twist and turn of the coastal road is insane. In short, it’s 100% worth the trip.

We only had a couple of hours there, but it was more than enough to leave an impression. Ravello is peaceful, pristine, and has this effortless elegance that instantly draws you in. I’m already planning my return.

Ghana

Next stop: New York — briefly — before a quick turnaround to Accra for my close friend’s wedding! I was sooo excited to be back in Ghana, surrounded by family, friends, and all the energy I’d been missing. It was such a joy to celebrate a beautiful bride and be part of such a special moment.

Truthfully, I was so caught up in the festivities that I didn’t capture much content that I can share. But I did make time for some of my favorite foods. Within the first two days, I was already tucking into a plate of Waakye and had a full Kenkey experience in Jamestown.

I’ll definitely be heading back later this year to plan my own traditional wedding, so I promise to return with better content then. For now, I’m just grateful for a few beautiful days back home. ❤️

Home Editions…

Wallpaper

I haven’t been in my NY studio for the past couple of weeks, but before I left, I finally installed wallpaper in my bathroom — and I’m obsessed! I partnered with Love vs Design on the project, and the whole process was incredibly seamless.

If you live in a rental, you know how tricky the topic of walls can be. You’re constantly asking yourself, “Is it worth it?” Especially when you’re not sure how long you’ll stay in a space. I had the exact same hesitation — until I discovered the magic of peel-and-stick wallpaper and how easy it is to install and remove.

If you’re thinking of adding some color, pattern, or texture to your apartment, I highly recommend checking out Love vs Design. You start by choosing samples — and they’re generously sized, which I really appreciated. Nothing frustrates me more than those tiny sample squares that give you zero sense of how a design will look on a full wall!

Once you’ve chosen your design, the ordering process is super quick and straightforward. As for installation — I know myself, and I’m definitely not a DIY girly, so I called in a TaskRabbit who did an amazing job (it gets tricky around the light switches etc). That said, if you’re handy or love a good project, the wallpaper comes with everything you need to install it yourself, including tools and clear instructions.

Studio Badge

I finally got my hands on the Studio Badge Wavy Walnut Board — and it’s everything! I’ve always had a thing for waved edges, so the moment I saw it, I knew it was a must-have.

In my opinion, you can never have too many chopping boards. But if you want one that lasts, won’t fade with use, and has a unique, elevated design, it’s worth investing a little more for quality and flair. I’m especially excited to use this one for cheese and charcuterie boards, or even general serving — it’s as functional as it is beautiful.

I was also gifted the smaller versions, which are perfect for things like cake slices or even as chic coasters for your mug.

Bottega Veneta Acqua Sale Fragrance

There are a few scents I’ve been loving lately but I recently got my hands on Bottega’s Acqua Salé fragrance. I picked up the travel set on my trip to Capri, which comes in the most stunning gold reusable bottle. I think I’ve mentioned this scent in a previous newsletter — it’s been on my radar for a while, and now it’s finally mine (even though I haven’t started using it yet!).

I was this close to getting the full-size bottle with the marble stand — it's a work of art — but I went with the travel set so I can have it with me wherever I go. I don’t currently display my fragrances, so the larger bottle wasn’t a must just yet. Maybe next time…

Merit Beauty- Signature Lip Sheer Lip Liner

I’ve recently become a lip liner girl — and I’m honestly wondering what took me so long. I’ve never been a huge fan of lipstick, so I kind of skipped the whole lip routine for years. But lately, I’ve been using Merit Beauty’s lip liner (Brownstone), and I’m loving it! It adds just the right amount of definition to my lips without feeling overdone — and I’m loving the result.

It’s my first time trying a product from Merit, and now I’m curious to explore more. I’ve heard amazing things about their Glow Serum and Complexion Stick, so those are next on my list to try.

What I’ve been eating…

Quality Italian, New York

Delicious food and a fun, laid-back vibe — exactly what you’d expect from the team behind Don Angie (a crowd favorite).

We ordered a little bit of everything, and honestly, everything was a hit. Every dish was packed with flavour and beautifully done. I also loved the mood lighting and the relaxed, effortlessly cool atmosphere — it’s the kind of place that feels just as perfect for a casual dinner as it does for a night out with friends (and that’s hard to find).

Sachi, London

I visited Sachi a few days ago while home in London, and my bestie and I cleared our plates — the sushi was incredible.

Sachi is located inside The Pantechnicon on Motcomb Street. I hadn’t been back in a couple of years, and last time I went, it was on the ground floor. It’s now moved to the rooftop, and I have to say, I’m loving the new vibe. The interiors are beautifully done- it looks just as good in the daytime as it does at night, which is tough.

I highly recommend adding this spot to your list. It’s perfect for a girly lunch, a cozy dinner, or even an intimate birthday celebration. It’s definitely earned a spot on my London recommendations.

Ixchel, London

Note: Get the avocado margarita! It might sound unusual, but trust me — it tastes incredible.

Mexican food was an absolute must on the agenda — my body had been craving shrimp tacos ever since I thought I was heading to Mexico City (still not over that twist). While the trip may have been rerouted, Ixchel definitely hit the spot once I was back in London.

It’s a fantastic addition to King’s Road — vibrant, welcoming, and the food is yummy, Plus, they have a gorgeous private dining space that’s perfect for big group dinners or special celebrations. Craving: officially cured.

After all this food, I have officially signed up with a personal trainer for the duration of the year. My wedding body is calling and it requires a lot of discipline. This may turn into what I’ve cooked lately (healthy edition).

What I’m Watching…

Four Seasons

I loved this show. It follows a group of longtime friends who’ve known each other for decades and travel together with their partners. It’s a fun, lighthearted watch (for the most part) that explores the ups and downs of relationships and friendships in a really relatable way. Plus, it’s genuinely funny. A quick and easy Netflix binge.

The Day of the Jackal

Okay — definitely not light-hearted, but this was some epic television. The show follows an elite sniper who carries out high-stakes hits for hire, and while that’s the premise on the surface, there’s a lot more complexity beneath it.

The cast? 10/10. I was hooked from the start and am seriously hoping there’s a season 2 on the way. I think Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch were SO good in this.

If you're into thrillers, crime dramas, or action-packed plots, this one’s right up your alley.

March has been a quieter month in terms of activity. Work has kept me incredibly busy, and as a result, my weekends have been all about unwinding. Finding the right balance between work, life, and sincerelyfafs has been a challenge as usual, and for the first time in a while, I found myself lacking the usual weekend energy to wake up early and hit the record button. But as the month comes to a close, I can feel that balance slowly returning.

Where I’ve been…

Moss

On a brighter note, I recently checked out Moss, a new members' club opening in New York, and its pretty cool. It’s an inspiring space where New Yorkers from all walks of life come together in the spirit of intelligent leisure and physical culture. Situated in the heart of Manhattan, Moss spans five thoughtfully designed floors, catering to every way we spend our time. There’s a cozy corner for breakfast, a sports court to let off steam, quiet nooks for focused work, a stage for evening symposiums, a private dining space for the perfect dinner party, a recording studio for podcasters, and even a sauna for weekend relaxation. It’s nothing short of brilliant, and I can already tell it’s going to be a favorite spot (opening Fall 2025).

Moss will be situated on the lower floors of Five Twenty Fifth, a stunning new residential building. I had the chance to visit the showroom, and it is absolutely breathtaking! The interiors, designed by Charles & Co., offer a contemporary take on classic New York style—sophisticated yet effortlessly inviting.

‘How To Spend It’ Breakfast

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending a wonderful breakfast with HTSI and Christina Ohly-Evans, hosted by Walpole UK. As the official body for the British luxury sector, Walpole represents over 250 of the country’s most esteemed brands, so it was a real treat to be part of the gathering.

The breakfast was a highlight for me for many reasons. First and foremost, I absolutely love HTSI! I subscribe to the FT Weekend just so I can indulge in HTSI every Saturday morning with my matcha—it’s my little weekend ritual. I also admire the way they curate unique topics and always secure exclusives on the world’s most sought-after hotels—something I truly appreciate. And of course, Christina Ohly-Evans herself is brilliant. Her career is nothing short of inspiring, and her travel diary? Enviable doesn’t even begin to cover it—if there’s a destination worth visiting, she’s been there. Having the chance to be in the same room and hear from her firsthand was an absolute privilege.

What I’ve been doing…

Lately, I’ve been spending most of my weekends at home, and earlier this month, I had the joy of hosting friends quite a bit. I absolutely love bringing people together—cooking, setting the scene, and creating new memories while reminiscing about old ones. There’s nothing better than a night filled with great food, laughter, and good company!

What I’m loving…

Dr Diamond’s Metacine

A couple of months ago, I was gifted Dr. Diamond’s Metacine products, and to say I was excited would be an understatement. If you’re not familiar, Dr. Diamond is a renowned facial plastic surgeon based in Beverly Hills, with a client list that includes Kim Kardashian, Chrissy Teigen, and Katy Perry. Naturally, when I heard about his skincare line, I was curious—was it all just hype, or were these products truly something special?

To put them to the test, I stripped back my routine and, for the past three weeks, have only been using the two products below (alongside my usual cleanser, toner, and hyaluronic acid).

• Instafacial Plasma: Bioactive Growth Factor Serum
  Formulated with bioengineered human-identical growth factors, this serum mimics the effects of platelet-rich plasma to support skin repair and rejuvenation. The result? Skin that looks lifted, firmer, tighter, and more radiant.

• Instafacial Emulsion: Retinopro Growth Factor Night Cream
  A powerhouse nighttime treatment infused with Bioactive Retinoids, Lipopeptides, a plumping Hyaluronic Acid Complex, and Niacinamide. It accelerates cell renewal, boosts collagen production, and plumps the skin—all without irritation.

After three weeks of consistent use, I can confidently say: these products are GOOD. So good, in fact, that I’m tempted to ration what’s left and save it for a big event! My skin feels tighter, firmer, smoother, and dare I say—glass-like. I already have pretty good skin and rarely break out, so it takes a lot to truly impress me.

That said, Metacine is definitely on the higher end of luxury skincare. But if you’re looking for products that deliver real results fast, I highly recommend giving them a try. Whenever I test luxury skincare, I commit to using it for at least two weeks before sharing my thoughts—because I value my money (and yours), and I only recommend what’s actually worth it. Bioty Spa

I’m new to Bioty Spa, but when they recently sent me some products to try, I couldn’t resist—especially since I love a good exfoliant. And let me tell you, I’m already halfway through it! It smells and feels absolutely gorgeous on the skin.

But the real winner for me? The body oil. I’m usually not a fan of body oils because they tend to leave a sticky residue, which makes getting dressed so annoying. But this one? It’s different. It deeply nourishes the skin without any greasiness, which means I actually enjoy using it. It’s become my go-to every evening, and I go to bed smelling like a spa—pure bliss!

Flamingo Estate

I’m absolutely loving my Flamingo Estate Dish Soap and Surface Cleaner! I know I buy some pretty extra things, but honestly, I feel like it’s my duty to test them out and report back to you all. 😉

These products smell incredible. They clean beautifully, tackle stains effortlessly, and leave everything sparkling—all while filling the room with the most divine scent. In fact, I love the fragrance so much that I find myself spritzing my surfaces before guests arrive, just to infuse the air with that gorgeous aroma. And they always notice!

Kroma Wellness: Beauty Matcha Latte

I have to share my all-time favorite matcha with you: Kroma Wellness Beauty Matcha Latte. I’ve been drinking it for a year now, and I’m obsessed.

I always start my mornings with a black coffee (which, let’s be honest, I should probably change), but on weekends, I’m fully a matcha girl. I also keep a stash of Kroma matcha sachets at my desk for an afternoon pick-me-up—because sometimes, you just need one.

I totally get why people say matcha tastes like earth—because plain matcha kind of does. But that’s exactly why I love Kroma’s Beauty Matcha Latte. It’s blended with collagen, turmeric, and ginger, which might sound like a lot, but trust me, it tastes delicious and is packed with skin-loving benefits. A win-win!

Something New: Chanel Beauty

I received the best package from Chanel Beauty last week, and if you’re a Chanel girly, you know I was in heaven!

I’ve been a fan of Chanel products for a while—La Mousse cleanser, the Bronzing Cream, and the Inimitable Mascara are already staples in my routine, and I have zero complaints about any of them. So, I was beyond excited to get my hands on a few pieces from Chanel’s new Camélia Futura Collection.

So far, I’ve tried:

• Powder Blush Trio – stunning shades that blend beautifully

• Iridescent Illuminating Fluid – gives the prettiest glow

• Eyeshadow Liner – I’m not usually an eyeshadow girl, but this? I can definitely get behind!

Safe to say, I’m a happy girl! I’ll keep you posted on the rest as I keep trying things!

What I’m Watching….

Severance (Apple TV)

Epic season. I did get a little lost halfway through—did we really need that detour to the mountains? (I’m not so sure.) But the final episode was fantastic, and now I’m just praying we don’t have to wait a decade for Season 3.

Severance definitely requires patience—it takes a while to fully hook you—but once it does, it’s brilliant TV!

The White Lotus (Max)

I’m dying to go back to Thailand! Absolutely loving this season. The mother is hands-down my favorite character—she’s hilarious (the “You want to move to Taiwan?!” moment had me crying).

I also find the dynamic between the three women so fascinating. Their friendship feels exhausting—so much competition and tension—but it definitely makes for an interesting watch!

The Residence (Netflix)

In my opinion, Shonda Rhimes can do no wrong. I wasn’t sure about it at first, but then…I binged the entire season in one day. That woman is phenomenal at what she does.

I love a good murder mystery, and this one is executed so well—gripping, smart, and impossible to stop watching!

I have so much to get through for the month of February! I had to go through my camera roll and remind myself of what I’ve been doing, because everything is merging into one in my head. For the most part, I’ve been in the city and enjoying my home. I feel like my space feels so much warmer now that my curtain divider is up.

February has been all about battling the cold storms. It’s been on and off snow and I’m so over it - I genuinely can’t wait for spring. On the bright side, I’ve spent time with loved ones, embraced self-care and tried to stay consistent in all the important areas of my life. So let’s get into it!

Where I’ve been…

Hotels

I went to the Catskills for the long weekend and it was the most perfect getaway. We stayed at The Henson Hotel, a 16-room founded by property restorers and husband-wife-duo Danielle and Ely Franko.

My favourite part of the hotel has got to be the main living room on the ground floor. The renovation is literally outstanding and the attention to detail is second to none. The Furniture pieces speak for themselves- I loved the textures and warm colours- you instantly feel at home. I really like that the room is somewhat divided; one side has a large white boucle sofa and the other side has a medium-toned brown sofa. I remember thinking to myself that this room is SO good, I can’t even decide where to sit. As someone that loves design, it was such a nice space to be in for a few days, because I had the chance to really take everything in and appreciate it.

The hotel has 5 different types of rooms; The Juliets, The Third Floor, The Garden Suites, The Balcony rooms and The Cozy. Each has a king-size bed with a Casper mattress, custom The Henson robes and Frette towels, a frame TV, Marshall speakers, Grown Alchemist products, and a lot of natural light. We stayed in one of the Third Floor rooms and it was cozy, warm and spacious- loved it.

A few things to note:

1. Breakfast is available every morning to all hotel guests. It’s a great spread! I loved the greek yoghurt and granola. The ham, eggs and olives were also winners. The Olive oil cake was 10/10.

2. The hotel is also home to its in-house restaurant, Matilda, which is a true delight. The menu is small, but great. I highly recommend the oysters to start. I was going to select my favourite main, but they were all really solid choices (Duck/Trout/Chicken). We had dinner at the restaurant the entire weekend, and tried a different protein each night - everything was delicious. For dessert - Chocolate Mousse (the centre is divine).

3. There is an Honor Bar next to the living room filled with refreshments like Ghia and Juices, plus sweet and salty snacks. (Don’t forget to write down what you take, with your room number - this part is not free ;))

4. The staff is amazing. very attentive, chatty and super friendly.

Restaurants

I went to Brass recently with some girlfriends and had the best time. Its a low-lit restaurant in the Evelyn Hotel in Nomad. It also has an adjacent bar called Tusk, which has a complimentary vibe.

The food was yummy; I highly recommend the scallops to start- small but worth it. For my main, I ordered the Steelhead Trout which was nice, but I should have gone for the crusted golden tilefish, like my friend- that looked even more yummy.

I really loved the interior, the lighting was low and the walls were filled with abstract art, which added to the uniqueness of the room. But there was still this overall feel of elegance and luxury that I appreciated. I highly recommend checking it out and if you don’t want a big meal, the Tusk Bar is perfect and you can get a few food options there too.

What I’ve been doing…

So I had the best facial at Dr Barbara Sturm! After the holidays and all the food, drink and travel, my skin just needed some rejuvenation. As soon as I got back to New York from London, my skin just felt a bit grey and i needed my glow back, so I booked the Sturm Glow Facial- AMAZING!

I already use the Sturm Enzyme Cleanser, Hyaluronic serum and I have tried their face cream a few times (all from the Darker Skin Tones Range). I genuinely swear by the first two products and I have been using the enzyme cleanser twice a week since lockdown. My skin doesn’t react well to exfoliants that come in the form of scrubs, so the enzyme cleanser is perfect for me. Its a gentle exfoliant in a powder form and once you add some water to it, it lathers into a foam that is so gentle on the skin. I can’t recommend this product enough- it’s a staple in my routine.

What I’m loving

Resore

I have been using Resore face towels for about 6 months now and I love them. I have 3 towels that I rotate in my bathroom and they are perfect for my day and night routines. I was using my body towel for my face for years even though I knew it was the wrong thing to do. As you’re reading this, you’re probably thinking I do this and there is honestly no judgement here, but we all know why it’s probably best to separate the two. They also have the softest bath towels ever, so they make it very easy for you.

A few reasons why I love this brand:

Trap Haus

I tried TrapHaus on the lower east side last weekend and I loved it. The class is a 50/50 Pilates and floor/bench strength. You’re not in either section for long enough to get sick of it, which is perfect for me and to top it of the music is fantastic.

The instructors are a vibe, the class isn’t too large and even though you only do approx 20mins of Pilates, you still have that burn on your stomach the following day. Definitely check it out if you’re in the city.

A few people asked where my leopard print leggings were from. They are from Varley. I think they are sold out but they have a great collection of leggings - super comfy!

Home/Interiors

One brand I am really grateful to have discovered since I moved to New York, is Jenni Kayne Home. It’s an LA brand but they have the most gorgeous store in Soho (must-see!).

I love the overall aesthetic and I think she has created a really great brand with high quality products- I love her books and her candles. I’m slowly working my way through the candle collection- I’ve tried Topanga and Hudson, which are both lovely. I recently tried the Basil Candle and it smells so fresh. It’s the perfect candle for a kitchen or when you’re hosting friends for dinner. I had it on for dinner on Sunday night and it was a winner.

What I am missing …

Okay everyone, this is a public service announcement: I’m about to run out of my Gail’s coffee and I’m missing it already.

Anyone coming from London, it would be much appreciated if you could please bring this back for me. Gail’s is literally the best bakery in London and everything in there is amazing. The first thing I do when I’m back home in London is take a trip to Gail’s near my house and I sit there and have a skimmed milk Latte with an Almond Croissant. I call it my arrival treat and I pray that the coffee keeps me awake to fight the jetlag. This never works and I’m fast asleep within an hour of getting back home, but it’s an enjoyable experience nonetheless. so please, anyone coming from London- thank you in advance.

What I’m watching…

Severance

• I cannot believe that I struggled to get into this show! I have probably tried to watch this about three times and failed miserably. I just couldn’t get past the slow start. However, that has since changed and I am absolutely hooked to this. It is a crazy show but it is so worth watching.

• I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but it is essentially about a team of office workers whose memories have been surgically divided between their work and personal lives. So much is happening in season 2 and the plot is thickening episode by episode.

White Lotus

• This is another show that has caught me by surprise. Basically, I have not watched season 1 or 2 but I am loving 3 LOL. Okay so I am watching 1 and 3 at the same time now.

• Let me explain. When this first came out, I just couldn’t get behind the nothingness that clouded every episode. In my mind…..NOTHING WAS HAPPENING. I was just struggling to get into it and I didn’t understand what I was missing, so I gracefully bowed out. But apparently in 2025, I am a new woman and I have such an appreciation for the weirdness of it all. So I’m giving it a go and so far so good and I think it helps that I’m watching it with my bf, which is always a highlight.

• Whats News by WSJ- Whenever i’m lost and I have no idea what’s really happening in the world, I look to this podcast for a deep dive. It’s great for me for US politics and staying on top of everything. I listen to this a lot when I’ve been away from work on holiday and I haven’t been keeping up to date.

Hey Friday Beautiful people!

I hope you are all having a lovely start to the new year! I am back in New York after spending the holidays in London and it has been go go go! I am back to work, which has been really busy and I’m trying to stay on top of content creation for all of you so lots of juggling! I’m trying my best.

Where I’ve been…

I have been in the FREEZING COLD! The snow makes the city more beautiful but the temperature is far from fun. I’m just dreaming of warm weather! I have some trips coming up in the year- some staycations, wedding trips in Europe and hopefully a Caribbean getaway- excited!

However, I have had some cool events in New York recently. Last week I went to the Tiffany & Co x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award event. They announced the winner; Jameel Mohammed and it was so well deserved. His pieces were truly beautiful and the new Tiffany store on 5th Ave is GLORIOUS!

I checked out the Pangea Exhibition by O’DA Art and KFP Group which was really impressive. I loved the curation of artists and I left desperate to fill my walls with beautiful pieces. I am hopefully going to Ghana soon, so it’ll be amazing to come back with some great pieces! My favourite piece was definitely Pink Vitiligo by Soji Adesina.

This week, I was invited to experience Coyuchi’s upcoming spring 2025 bedding & bath collection. It was such a stunning event. They curated the apartment with Coyuchi products, so we were surrounded by amazing bedding, towels and sleepwear. Coyuchi is known for it’s high quality products- everything is 100% organic. The brand’s ethos is centred around creating conscious luxury without compromise and connection to the raw power and beauty of nature.

When you feel the products, you know the quality is there. I fell in love with the bedding - so many beautiful fabrics and they feel extremely soft! Coyuchi also has a great collaboration with Naomi Watts and I can’t wait for the new collection to launch. There is a white jacquard bedding set that is GORG! wait and see!

They also had a wellness pop up with Credo Beauty, so I was treated to a hand massage with some of Credo’s new products. Their new Submerge Green Algae Body Cream smells so good and feels really good and nourishing on the skin. I always get other products from Credo but I have never tried their own range. This is why I love these brand experiences….you always discover something new :)

They gifted us a tote bag in my favourite print from the brand. It came with a Coyuchi bare organic hair wrap, headband, bath mitt and the Credo body cream. Such a treat and feeling very grateful <3

What I’ve been doing…

Apart from those two events, I have honestly been at home making a few changes. I can officially announce that my curtains are finally up! I live in a studio, so I needed to create some sort of partition. Since I moved in September, it feels like I have been sleeping in my kitchen! As much as I love my Smeg appliances, I do not want to see them as I fall asleep….

I also had shelves put in a closet for my shoes! Hurrah! I can finally see the shoes I own! It honestly makes life so much easier when you can SEE your clothes and shoes. It makes it so easy to get ready and you don’t make any duplicate or similar purchases because you forget what you have. In short, I feel like everything is coming together.

I have also been trying to eat at home a lot more and stay healthy. I feel like I ate out a lot last year and although I LOVE a restaurant, I would like to be 80/20 home vs out and so far so good. plus, summer bodies are made in the winter. I have also decided to swap out rice for cous cous or quinoa, which is actually not so bad!

HOWEVER, that being said, I did check out Bond St this week and the food was GOOD GOOD haha! This means I can’t eat out for the rest of the week, which is more than fine because it was worth it.

If you go to Bond St- make sure you get the yellowtail sashimi …10/10!

What I’m loving…

I got the faded eye masks from Topicals and I’m loving them so far. I used them before I went out last night and they definitely brighten the under eyes. I have only ever tried the 111 Skin eye masks, which are great but these are brilliant too!

I’m also loving my new Lillian Blazer from the Frankie Shop. I wore it this weekend and it’s a great shape and the perfect nighttime blazer.

What I’m watching….

The Agency - I am obsessed with this show. I love a show that keeps me thinking and this is just that. It’s an amazing cast and there are so many intertwining storylines which I love. It’s about a covert CIA agent who is ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London Station; when the love he left behind reappears…..

I also loved ‘Black Doves’ and ‘Missing You’ on Netflix. I love mystery when I’m watching TV or its straight to Real Housewives- no in between really. Speaking of Real Housewives…. I’m waiting for the reunions before I comment on anything.

What I’m listening to….

I feel like Mel Robbins is everywhere right now and we’re all learning about the ‘Let Them’ theory and I can’t lie, listening to her has really helped me. I used to get so internally worked up about things and now I just say ‘let them’ in my mind and I do feel a bit of a release. It has also saved me a lot of time worrying and being anxious about things. highly recommend listening.
