Last night I did an impromptu live from my gazebo, and I had the immense pleasure to “meet” for the first time!

We've had exchanges in a few live chats (as we do with most of us!) and she spontaneously jumped in when I sent out an open invitation to join me “as you are now”.

It was so much fun!

Thank you Sandy for helping me fill up my time in a most meaningful way!

I just love being an earthling right now. It's amazing to broaden our horizons. Some people in the WH should take some lessons from us.

Took a bit because I had a HUGE fibromyalgia flare afterwards. It seems I just woke up to a long, bad nightmare. To you, FM sufferers, do you also end up thinking - oh I thought this didn’t exist - wake up to reality (!) - when a flare hits you? I think this is the part of the illness I hate the most. Everything’s ok, then 2 hours later, you’re in bed, burning all over, thinking you’ve just been hit by a truck and unable to get up. And, as usual, I had to sleep it off. Phewww.

So, today’s a new day, and I’m carrying on my wayward son! 🎵🎶

Yesterday on Time For Life, and I had the pleasure to speak to about what brings her joy! Holly is a kid's book author and illustrator living in Southern Maine, who loves to draw and creating stories with lovely animal characters.

I was already drawn to the fact that she loves nature and animals, but speaking with her for the first time, I discovered a person who is passionate about life and taking time for the things that matter in her life.

Today I had the loveliest time catching up with the wonderful . We are kindred spirits and I love the fact that we are both here on this platform to spread joy!

- It’s pretty cool that they have a poutine food truck in Belfast. That’s my kinda of world! I also had NO IDEA there were special microbes in the ground in Ireland that boost chlorophyll production… EPIC!

Sounds like you need to organize a new photography workshop for all of our friends and make sure it includes whisky tasting tours.

Yesterday on Time for Life, we had the pleasure of hosting , Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Disability Community for Democracy, Inc., an organization focused on safeguarding the rights of individuals within the disability community in the USA.

Nieta is an engaged and generous person, with a love of music, fan number 1 of the group ‘Black Crowes’ ❤️‍🔥🎶, and many dreams - dreams that she puts into action by working very hard despite the challenges of being disabled. Politically involved, she also discusses the influence of arts and culture, as important ways to better society, something that she calls a ‘Disability Renaissance’.

Take Time for Life today and find out what drives Nieta into making a better place of all of us!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting , a 2D and 3D artist who worked for many years at Disney Consumer Products. An accomplished artist, Cris does many styles; the one bringing her the most joy being drawing or sculpting funny little animals.

Cris is also a beautiful and generous human being, loving teaching and sharing her passion for arts with the youngest and also less fortunate. She has set up a store to sell her social justice items. All profits from these shirts go directly to selected non-profits.

Check this out… Yesterday, I spent the day with and , who were visiting Québec City ! We went to Chutes Montmorency, took a drive around Ile d’Orléans, walked around Old Québec’s port and had a lovely dinner with them and my husband. It was so much fun to share ‘part of my world’ with Substack friends!

I am very grateful that we had the opportunity to take this time to get together and share our common passion for photography, travels, and discovery. I now feel I have friends in the USA (for real, real).

Of course, we ranted (a bit) about Trump and his awful regime. By being actively loud about this together, coming up with ideas and sharing how we can act upon it, we can all continue to strive for a better humaning project, and have a real impact on how we can change things. I really believe it!

Yesterday on Chronically Illing Out, our guest was Nieta Greene, CEO and Founder of Disability Community for Democracy, Inc. Publisher of Nothing About Us Without Us.

Even though I do not live in the USA, as I am in Canada, I know advocating for the rights of civilians is crucial, especially right now. Then, when I think of all the people who have to manage living their daily lives with disabilities, I can only imagine the extra work you must put it in order to have access to services which are already limited, and this in the context of gutting DEI and the pernicious effect it has. Nieta’s work is commandable and her passion and plea for better ‘humaning’ is contagious.
