Any “good” that centralised government, the state, presumes to provide (miserably, I might add), is provided by an artificial monopoly of governance services. Monopolies, due to lack of competition, have little incentive to please and appease their reluctant customers; in the case of the state, reluctant customers are the taxpayers. Taxpayers have no choice but to resort to this monopoly of lawmaking, policing, and public goods, which is achieved through the threat of violence, and through our willing submission.

If a monopoly of governance works, then a free market of governance works all the more

So, if even a monopoly (the state) has some incentive to somewhat satisfy part of the demand for governance services, then imagine how much more demand exists for these services, for better services, and how well and cheaper those services would have been provided in a free market where a level playing field and the pressures of competition would drive providers of governance services to offer superior quality at lower prices.

If a disincentivised monopoly of governance services (in the regions it presumes to own) still feels some pressure to provide some measurable service, otherwise it collapses, then imaging how more driven and motivated competing suppliers would be to do better?

Because a monopoly doesn’t do anything it wants. Even monopolies compete with the one competitor they can’t get rid of: the ‘no sale’. Even slave owners need to stay the whip at some point, because the alternative to an unmotivated, unproductive slave is a dead slave (or worse, a rebellious one).

If a monopolist makes his products or services too expensive or too low quality to mean anything, then he loses his clientele completely. That minuscule “good” that the state provides (with the vast majority of our earnings paid in taxes, I might add) isn’t because the state is somehow by default benevolent. It’s because the state, despite being an artificial, violence-based monopoly, still needs to somewhat appease its reluctant customers. All monopolies still need to at least provide something back at a bare minimum. Otherwise, the managers of the state (politicians, bureaucrats, and lobbyists) lose their hold on their monopoly of governance services, and then a different group takes over.

Why do we keep choosing centralised government over decentralised governance?

Why do we keep falling for a monopoly of governance services? Because we don’t know any better. Because we’re too entrenched in our appeals to tradition, group-think, and ‘five monkeys’ psychopathy: behaving in a certain way without even knowing why. The insane fact that we still go through the daylight saving idiocy, without knowing why or how it began, or the stupidity of using traffic lights when roundabouts are much safer and more efficient, proves how much like the five monkeys we are. And since we’re talking about the scientifically proven safety of roundabouts, what ever happened to the “if it saves one life” argument?

Why don’t we apply decentralised governance? Why didn’t people abolish barbarism like slavery, prima nocte, human sacrifice, witch burning, shamanic superstition, and child abuse sooner in history? Why do many of these practices still occur “normally” in this supposedly “civilised” age?

Free-market dynamics in governance services

If you think politicians need to listen to our demands because of the hopelessly inefficient feedback mechanism of voting between identical prechosen candidates every few years with vague promises for which they are legally unaccountable, then congratulations! You understand free-market incentives! You have just made an argument for the free-market supply of governance services where suppliers have the drive, the incentive from free-market competition pressures, to provide better services, cheaper.

The problem with voting is that you are presented with a couple of prechosen, vague, immaterial choices to pick, usually generic politicians (instead of actual policies). Politicians are sleazy lowlives with used-car-salesman lawyer-speak rhetoric, and no real commitments to actual policies; commitments they keep dishonouring because campaign promises are not legally binding. So much for accountability in the government…

If you think centralised government provides services that lead to order and prosperity, imagine how much more order and prosperity you’d have if governance services were provided by competing, and therefore, incentivised suppliers.

Objection to statelessness: the ‘warlord’ scare

A common objection to decentralised governance is that those who provide governance services will, in fact, be Mad-Max-style warlords; this cartoonish phobia from watching too much state-funded propaganda-wood, which aims to deprive us of our footing in reality.

No, decentralised governance does not mean warlords, because when you brutalise or displease customers who have the option to purchase elsewhere, they will, and you’ve just shot yourself in the foot. Only artificial, violence-based monopolies, such as the state, can get away with bad, expensive services and with brutalising their customers (taxpayers), because the latter have no other options for alternative suppliers.

But let’s entertain the warlord hypothesis.

Well, the state is in fact a warlord, and a monopolistic, hegemonic, and unopposed one at that. The state engages in war against neighbouring hegemonic warlords, with you paying and bleeding for it.

In fact, when those deciding to go to war will never have to pay or bleed for it (no skin in the game), then war is more likely to occur.

The state warlord also abuses you with more and more taxes and victimless crime enforcement under threat of extreme violence. If we held referenda for each law, each policy, each state military intervention that slaughters children in your name and on your dime, I bet my life that the vast majority of people of every country would vote against them, save for common-sense rules (like don’t harm or steal), that the state does such a poor job safeguarding. Did you vote or consent to all the brutal nonsense that the state does in your name and on your dime? Did you think you weren’t living under warlord status?

If we already live under a single warlord per given region, we might as well have several of them. Their competition and mutual deterrence would be more orderly than this barbarism we call centralised government.

I’ve worked with organised crime when I was managing a bar/restaurant. And I was present twice when the protection mob switched hands, twice. It was the most orderly, civilised transmission of “power” possible, unlike the state that usually transfers perceived “authority” through bloodshed.

Not only that, but for a truly modest protection fee, we actually had protection. When I had violent patrons acting out and disturbing the other guests, I’d call the mobster assigned to protect us each evening, and within three minutes, he’d be there, not to escalate (like state police do), but to provide presence and calmly de-escalate.

Mobsters have more conflict resolution training and IQ than any state cop. Why? Free-market incentive.

Why is the mob more civilised than the state? Because they compete for the same region. If they brutalise or displease the businesses under their protection, they lose revenue.

And don’t get me wrong, I am aware that certain mobs do brutalise when they don’t understand basic economics. But the same applies, even more so, to the state. Centralised governments all over the world suppress their economies through crippling taxation, wasteful unproductive spending, and favourable regulations that aim to kill competition in favour of bribing lobbyists. When you mix greed, evil, and stupidity with the needy power-trip of perceived “authority”, you get slavery: the most retarded and unproductive way to run a business and an economy.

One might say that mobs are relatively “civilised” because the state keeps them in line. No, the state does not keep them in line. It’s the opposite. The whole operation of a protection mob is defiance of the state. If anything, they cooperate. Mobs bribe their way into sustainability. And the few mobs that get hit by the state? Well, just like state corporatism, the highest-bidding bribery gets to kick out the competition. The problem is the violence-based apparatus of the state, which is up for rent to the highest bidder. This is another argument against centralised government.

Conclusion

If you believe that the state is accountable to its people, then you understand free-market incentives. But the state is an artificial monopoly of governance services, and even monopolies have some incentive to provide some value back, even though it’s at the bare minimum, since you don’t have a choice of supplier.

When your government messes up, you are still forced, under threat of extreme violence, to patronise it with your taxes. You can’t reward or punish good and bad service. So there isn’t much incentive for the state to please you, other than just enough lest you become rebellious.

Now imagine how much more accountable decentralised providers of governance services would be, and how much better, cheaper governance services we’d get under those economically vibrant pressures of competition.

I used to drown in despair after I understood economic history well enough: The tax-to-income ratio around the world keeps increasing, to the point where the vast majority of our earnings go to taxes. Income tax is but a small fraction of what you pay in taxes, since the largest chunk of every price tag is made up of hidden, indirect taxes and fees.

I used to feel hopeless seeing how the centralised monopoly of governance, the state, keeps regulating and micromanaging our lives more and more, multiplying the occurrence of victimless “crimes” and moral policing to the point where the human spirit is crushed under a conditioning for subservience, mindless obedience, and self-loathing. Because how can you not hate yourself when you’re afflicted by Stockholm Syndrome, in love with your oppressors?

But here’s the contradiction: Even though we’re being taxed and micromanaged more and more by the state, we seem to be able to enjoy more and more goods, with the exception of housing and other things that are by their nature scarce. These are becoming more expensive, not so much due to increasing demand and shrinking supply as it is due to state interventionism that favours lobbyists at the expense of voters. “Voting” with money, after all, is way more effective.

The reason we can enjoy more abundance even though the state takes most of our income is the ever-increasing efficiency of technology. This is what technology is, after all: production and efficiency of production.

The reason the state has the gall to tax us so harshly and intervene so much in our lives is that technology has enabled so much abundance that a smaller available portion of our earnings is enough to give us more comforts than a filthy-rich oligarch a century ago. It means the state can tax us to the bone without rendering us impoverished, thus rebellious from having nothing to lose. And due to technology, we also have more “freedoms”, more ways of experiencing life through art, media, telecommunication; so the despair from oppression is somewhat mitigated.

Deprive people of their bread and circuses, and see how quickly any tyranny falls.

Technology simply provides us with more bread and circuses with less available income. A pleb during the dark ages could afford much less with 90% available income than we do today with 10% available income.

Technology has made life so efficient and productive that a slave today enjoys more abundance than the master of yesterday. All except the dignity of freedom.

Now imagine this…

Imagine if we had the technology of today without this unfair state exploitation, this extortion, this theft of most of our income. Which, let’s be fair, doesn’t go on roads and public goods. Rather, it is wasted on oil wars that destroy markets and the environment, not to mention embezzlement, corrupt dealings, insider trading, corporate welfare, Wall Street bailouts, money-laundering NGOs, and every other wasteful thing the state can conjure up.

Imagine having more of our income to enjoy… how much purchasing power we’d have, enough to enable us to work much less and enjoy much more. This isn’t laziness: this is technological efficiency.

And the environment? What would happen to the environment if we consumed more?

The greatest polluter of the environment is always the state, which allows their lobbyists to get away with massive environmental damage while blaming you for “climate change” because of your 1.2L petrol sedan. This isn’t even accounting for war, the state’s lifeblood.

If we’re really conscious about the environment, with the available income we’d have, we’d have the option to pay a premium for goods produced using environmentally-friendly methods. Yes, such methods exist, but they are more expensive, as the plastic straw and plastic bag anecdotes show. We used to have paper bags and glass bottles before governments “banned them” to promote plastic. Insider trading right there. Now the state pretends to oppose plastic; another source of funding for useless, money-laundering NGOs.

So it would be up to us, not the state, to punish and reward accordingly with our purchasing choices. And believe me: there is enough market demand for environmentally conscious produce, if only we were allowed to keep more of our earnings.

How do I know there is enough demand for environmentally friendly produce?

If an artificial monopoly like the state feels enough pressure to appear to be doing something about the environment, to appease its citizens, then imagine how much free-market demand truly exists for environmentally friendly products — as long as markets are free from the state’s bought-and-paid-for favourable regulations to grant monopoly and oligopoly advantage to their donors. And free-market competition can pressure businesses to do much better than a state that can be lobbied to take out competition and enable monopolies (and thus, widening wealth gaps).

And if we’re not conscious about the environment enough for free-market demand for environmentally friendly produce, then any state enforcement of environmental policies would be undemocratic, and totally tyrannical. So, the state forces you to choose between environmentalism and fascism.

If environmentalism is to be meaningful, it must be organic.

Imagine how much prosperity is already within our grasp, if only we’d shed our deluded need for centralised government, and instead realise that decentralised governance is not only possible, but an absolute necessity, if humanity is to survive.

Technology is a tool: neutral. How you use it is what makes it bad or good. And technology in the hands of the state (this fundamentally corrupt and evil concept), creates destructive forces like massive armies, nuclear weapons, and biowarfare, things that, in a stateless world, there would be zero demand for.

We’re at a crossroads: Will technology be used for good, or will it be applied for ultimate evil in the hands of the corrupt few?

Have you ever found yourself speechless and in awe at how many people are committed to insanity, irrationality, and flat-out schizoid paranoia, with a total dismissal of situational awareness as well as footing in reality? Can you recall recent instances when you received reactions from people that were totally out of proportion, off-topic, and outside sane, logical reality, as if they had completely mistranslated and deliberately misunderstood your message? The frequency of such instances of total insanity is alarming, and it makes one wonder whether the human species is fundamentally flawed from the design table. No wonder there can be no true communication, understanding, or empathy in this reality.

Intro: defining terms

Because I use psychiatric terminology in this article, let me explain how I’ll be using them, and where I stand on the whole psychiatry shtick.

Multiple personality disorder, bipolar disorder, narcissistic personality disorder, schizophrenia… All these are vague, overlapping terms, with no objective, quantifiable, and accurately measurable criteria by which a scientifically valid or accurate diagnosis can be made. This is why psychiatry is not a science.

Let me state this again, right in the face of all the mindless, toilet-paper degree holders with their deluded god-complex and their insulting gall to claim otherwise: Psychiatry is not a science; it’s snake oil at best. And I should know; I hold a few toilet-paper science degrees myself.

Street-drug dealers help people with mental disease much more effectively than monstrous drug-dealing psychiatrists, recklessly prescribing hazardous pharmaceuticals whose side effects are worse than the disease. When a listed side effect of antidepressants is depression, you know you’re being mocked. No, I don’t recognise psychiatry as a science. It isn’t. Not even close. I should know, because I use real science daily for work: numbers, statistics, and, more importantly, discerning the logically accurate meaning of numbers, and recognising false attribution and bad science. And believe me, the world is knee-deep in bad science, which explains why mental disease is the default for humanity.

Anyone who still insists that psychiatry is somehow a science has abandoned reason and has no intellectual capacity (let alone honesty) to comprehend or define true science. Psychology is different: it doesn’t claim to be a science, and it has the potential to actually help people, when done right, at least for a while.

But snake oil salesmen selling dope and playing trial and error with random, hazardous pharmaceuticals while measuring loose approximations to arbitrary, meaningless, and generic metrics… that’s psychiatry. Fuck off, dangerous parasites, psychiatrists. You’re on the wrong side of the padded cell door.

Sorry for sidetracking; I had to get that off my chest.

Despite the scam of psychiatry, we can still use “psychiatric terms” like schizophrenia, not as objective diagnoses, but as observable phenomena. This is how I use them in this article, and this whole section was for defining my use of terms.

Use of terms

You don’t need a medical degree to be able to observe and identify irrationality, insanity, and schizoid personality disorders, just like you don’t need to be a doctor to observe an impalement, an amputation, or someone in need of CPR.

The distinction between dispassionate commitment to reason and the unhinged attachment to insanity is clear, and it doesn’t require six years of parasitical academic-partying lifestyle to observe insanity.

When you deny yourself long enough, you go insane

Last year, I finally admitted to myself that my older brother was, in fact, properly insane, with severe symptoms of schizoid personality: randomly switching from one distinct persona to the next, abruptly, without warning, without logical continuity. One of the fakest people I’ve ever known, who wears a mask of “likeability” in public, an obsessive conformist, a hopelessly insecure narcissist who sells out any principle if it means short-sighted, utilitarian gain. Someone so immensely volatile, reactive, and unhinged when faced with his inadequacies that he isn’t even aware of which persona, which mask he’s wearing, and which false self is behind the wheel at any given moment. An individual who goes, within a split second, from a performative, overacted ‘laid-back’ demeanour and the condescending, Dwayne-Johnson-style “I’m nice to you even though I don’t have to ‘cause I’m better than you” attitude, to an estrogen-fuelled, maniacal hissy fit. An unaccountable blamer, a gaslighting, compulsive liar who thinks that any lie is justified as long as it serves his ends. Yet he is sane enough to control himself when faced with people he is truly afraid of, people whose approval he desperately needs.

Emotional volatility betrays severe unresolved trauma, especially when the veneer of narcissism (this masked insecurity) renders one blind to their inadequacies, thus making them incapable of improving. If you keep sweeping under the rug, you’ll never be able to clean your house, because the unclean is hidden.

And you know that when that emotional instability occurs, it has nothing to do with the objective reality around the afflicted. The insanely unhinged reaction is unnatural and disproportionate to the stimulus. Instead, it’s the psycho-demons inside grasping at straws, desperately looking for any excuse to come out and reign, just for a bit.

This is what demonic possession really is: being taken over by your demons, the false personas you manufactured to overcompensate for your insecurities, but who instead end up hijacking your will and making you their bitch. This is not an excuse; this is an explanation.

When your soul, body, and mind become vessels to be hijacked by entities you made up to overcompensate for your fears, inadequacies, shame, and insecurities, then you are no longer you; you’ve delivered your self-ownership to your demons, sold your soul to a devil you made up who promises to save you, but instead, makes it all worse for you. This is the essence of the Faustian gamble: risking your all and losing because to gain something, you had to betray your values and principles.

Integrity

Compromising your integrity is how you lose your mind. Your integrity is the shell protecting and granting form to your soul, your true self. And that shell is made up of your core values, principles, virtues, ideals, and ideas, the things that give shape and define you, that represent you, and that you represent in return. If you compromise them, you lose your armour, what protects you and what gives you spiritual and intellectual form. You, quite literally, become formless, and therefore, identity-less.

It’s not selfish to nurture your individual self-sovereignty. Surrendering to collectivist group-think whereby the group defines the individuals (and not the other way around, as it should be) is a surrender of dignity, which leads to compromised integrity. Then you pretend to wonder why you lack self-esteem when you apparently “have it all”. The question is how much of your dignity you had to sacrifice for it.

When you are tormented by feelings of ‘not knowing who you are’, it’s because you’ve compromised your integrity for far too long. You’ve pretended to be someone else, and failed to live up to your core values and principles, thus denying and dishonouring your true inclinations and predispositions. This way, if you deny the things that make you who you are deep down, you lose yourself. It’s spiritual suicide.

My brother claims to be very right-wing and has all the worst things to say about leftists and how damaging they are to society; that every evil comes from the left, in his own words. Yet, his two closest friends are hardcore communists and party members, with preferential government positions: rewards for their subservience. When I heard someone confront him about this disconnect, he condescendingly said: “Well, I respect people’s different opinions and beliefs, and friendship doesn’t have to get political.”

Really? Doesn’t it?

Your beliefs, opinions, and affiliations are the manifestation of your core principles. Of course they matter when it comes to choosing the people closest to you. You are being hypocritical, not tolerant, when you allow yourself to connect and emotionally invest with people who hold opposing core principles to yours.

Sure, you can be civil with people of different opinions, but how close a connection can you form with people whose core beliefs are antithetical to yours? If you’re honest with yourself and committed to your principles, you cannot build meaningful relationships with people who share opposing core values. It would be an ethical compromise to do so. If you’re a Christian and you marry an atheist, you betray your principles, because your core belief assumes your partner will, by default, go to hell, and you don’t seem to care. If you’re a communist and you’re best friends with business-owning “capitalists” (the scapegoat of socialism), then you’re hypocritical because you can’t be consistent in what you presume to believe; you can’t be friends with the people your ideology treats as the source of all evil. If you’re pro-freedom, you can’t be close friends with a nazi or a socialist (same thing, different branding).

Thus, pretending, lying, and compromising your convictions just to be accepted and gain generic approval means you don’t really stand up for the thing you claim you stand for.

Sure, you can have different tastes in music, food, cinema… That’s fine, because there are no core, self-defining values. You don’t have to believe in the exact same things. But your core beliefs, your fundamental principles and values that define and drive you, and give you purpose and meaning in life, cannot be too different from the people you choose to keep around you, and by extension, influence you.

Because this is how it goes: your entourage matters. Your environment molds you continuously. Therefore, your choice of people, those you allow to access you and thus influence you (whether you like it or not), matters.

My brother sold out to the freemason suckups just to get ahead at the expense of others. This is how inner circles work, and I wonder what he gave them on him to achieve the “trust” of mutually assured destruction; the only way you can get inner circles to accept you. This is why all these inner circles are obsessed with high-class rave parties, drugs, prostitutes, and all kinds of debauchery; humiliation ceremonies to “get you in”, like university fraternities’ “pledges”.

Are you willing to sacrifice your integrity? This is how you gain the trust of inner circles. You literally sell your soul (your dignity and integrity) to the devil in exchange for meaningless, superficial gain.

Now he spends all his working hours with leftists and gay activists, wearing his mask of hypocrisy, since he claims to be very anti-gay and anti-left; but not in front of his gay leftist associates, of course. He pretends to be vehemently against aggressive, exploitative immigration, yet he works directly for the very people who drive this phenomenon globally. Zero integrity… no wonder he loathes himself.

Is it any wonder that such a person would suffer from schizoid personality disorder?

Of course he’s lost his fucking marbles when he can never be himself, when his integrity has been totally erased, sold out, and eradicated; voluntarily, I might add.

And voluntary denial of self is even worse than the involuntary loss of the true self from the trauma of abuse. When you’re traumatised, you reluctantly conclude that you deserved the abuse, and you are forced to deny yourself. However, when you voluntarily deny yourself to navigate arbitrary social demands, you aren’t murdered against your will; you willingly commit suicide; and the death of self is total.

Lack of authenticity and honesty is identity-suicide

Give your fake personas enough time and energy, and they will take over your body, mind, and soul: this is schizophrenia, the irreversible death of the true self, and the rise of fake personas with — quite literally — their own minds hijacking your now vacant mind, body, and soul.

My younger brother isn’t any better. With crippling mommy and daddy issues, he’s managed to sacrifice his entire being to a total feminist, man-hating matriarch who terrorises him. He is totally terrified of an ugly woman’s threats and shaming language… Oh, coincidentally, she’s a psycho psychiatrist too. What were the odds!

Now I make a conscious effort to ignore messages and flat-out refuse to talk to people who would require me to compromise my authentic self, my integrity, to do so. I value my dignity too much to compromise my integrity for cheap, meaningless approval.

Even petty provocations I brush off as the petty annoyance of a buzzing fly, unless there is a direct threat to me. But a petty provocation, or meaningless display of disrespect from people whose disrespect honours you, is nothing more than an invitation to compromise your integrity, to get an emotional rise out of you, to get you to grant them your attention, and thus your validation. You validate them when you take them seriously. And when you validate people with antithetical values, even if you validate them by responding to their pretty provocations, you lose a piece of your integrity. And then you lose your mind to them and become like them, because their non-existent integrity is why they are like that.

Insanity is an infectious disease. Stay away from the insane, lest you join them.

It’s simple. Treat provocative idiots like annoying flies. They can be annoying, but don’t grant them the respect of agency and free will. They don’t have agency or free will. This is not an excuse to get them off the hook; this is an explanation to take away meaning from their petty provocations.

Conclusion

Be very careful who you choose to interact with, who you give access to you. Every interplay is an influence. Every connection is a potential infection with the pathogen of insanity. Every interaction has the potential to compromise your integrity.

So, choose who you allow to access you. Even asserting yourself against those who would seek to erode your integrity may end up making them win, simply because you gave them the time of day, the time, the effort, the energy. When possible, a total severing of any and all communication and interaction channels is your best option. You don’t need to convince them of anything. You don’t need to prove them wrong. You don’t need to get them to see your side. You don’t need to make them understand. All you need is to totally erase them from your life if possible. And if not, you need to keep as much physical and emotional distance as possible. They are dead to you. Bury them to move on.

Always remember: When you’re in a place or situation where you can’t be yourself, where expressing your true, natural behaviour would be penalised or, at the very least, not respected, you will be tempted to withdraw the true self and allow all your fake personas — the archons — to take over. Those multiple personalities are your false self, the devil you sold your soul to.

When you deny yourself long enough, you go insane. Schizophrenia is the affliction resulting from the consistent compromising of your integrity and your persistent denial of your true self.

Commodity prices, perceived “authority”, religiosity, the functional “value” of worthless fiat currencies, the arbitrary stock price of companies that never made any profit, like Tesla and SpaceX… these are all social systems that rely solely on blind faith. And blind faith is the self-fulfilling prophecy that ends up granting them functional value.

The dynamics of faith

When faith in a currency fades enough in a critical mass of the population, people stop accepting it for their produce, and then we have bank runs, and the currency completely collapses.

When enough people believe that “God” will grant them 72 sex slaves in a hedonistic orgy of an afterlife, as long as they conquer and slaughter in the name of said “God”, then these people will find a way to do it. Islam prophesied the fall of Constantinople and Rome to Muslims. They believed it enough to make the first happen, and the second will be concluded soon, given the state-funded Islamisation of Europe. When you believe in yourself enough that you deserve to win the heart of your crush, then you’ll appear more confident, more self-assured, and thus, valuable and attractive. The exact same applies to the workplace, which functions exactly the same as the dating market. The more you believe in yourself, the more others will believe in you, even if your belief is deluded. Similarly, if you’re capable but, for some reason, you lack self-confidence due to trauma, then no one will believe in you, despite your actual capabilities.

When you believe you’ll make it in any endeavour, you drastically increase your chances of achieving your goals, just from believing in yourself.

When you believe that your tech-billionaire bro is an idol, and not your surrogate daddy figure you so desperately need to validate your masculinity for you, you have blind faith in everything he does, and every worthless share his worthless, state-subsidised companies issue, so you go out and buy them at an unjustified premium. Then, you and others like you elevate him to the demigod you believed he was, simply by submitting your faith, money, and clout to him.

Systems of authority rely on faith, and faith alone

All authority structures function on faith. From boy scouts and amateur sports teams to military ranks and corporate hierarchy, no one bows to a “leader” unless they “believe” the leader deserves bowing to. This belief in authority isn’t always based on admiration and voluntary submission; it’s mostly the belief in the “leader’s” ability to apply violence (or some other punishment) against subordinates and get away with it. Most hierarchies, in fact, rely on faith based solely on violence. Take the leaders’ ability to exert violence away from them, and you will quickly find that there was never any voluntary submission to their “leadership”. We see this when old bosses and politicians retire, or when dictators are taken down: Everyone looks down on them, if not flat-out despises them.

Belief in someone’s “authority”, whether inspirational/moral authority or the base animalistic power of violence, is the only thing that makes “authority” real. And authority is a bluff: it isn’t real unless you fall for it.

Statist apologetics

People who still make excuses for the indefensible atrocity that is centralised government (the state) keep mindlessly repeating the vapid mantra that “we’ve always had a state” (appeal to tradition fallacy) or that “the state is somehow inevitable” (ad hoc fallacy) or that “the alternative to the state is supposedly disorder and chaos” (false dichotomy fallacy), as if their prejudices grant them powers of clairvoyance.

As I keep repeating to willingly deaf ears, the alternative to centralised government (the state) is decentralised governance: a competitive market of governance services as opposed to the artificial monopoly of governance and risk management by the state. And I shouldn’t have to explain here why monopolies are bad, with the biggest, most ineffective, negligent, and disastrous being the state, regardless of its type.

The statist’s argument from incredulity fallacy and pro-state rhetoric only betray their willing inability to comprehend how social order, security, and rules (governance) can exist without the artificial monopoly of violence of the state.

This is because statists and religionists alike will not escape their self-contradictory fixation that, supposedly, order and morality cannot exist unless they are imposed via intimidation and violence by terrorising authority figures, whether a god or the state. And for the statist, the state is god.

But here’s the plot twist: They are right, at least in part.

I concede to the state apologists: Social order, security, and rule cannot exist without the centralised, violently imposed, artificial monopoly of the state; at least not right here, right now, anyway… And this admission comes from the greatest proponent of statelessness you’ll ever meet.

Hear me out…

What the state isn’t

State apologists observe how the state enforces certain regulations that are generally desirable, such as environmental standards, property registries, policing, etc. I mean, if the state insists that “murder is bad”, then the state must be good, right? No concept of “wolves in sheep’s clothing”, I suppose…

Humans in general are too gullible and trusting, which is why we have organised religions, centralised governments, and Nigerian prince scams alike.

Most people ignore the fact that the more authoritarian a state gets, the more it engages in war, austerity, corruption, pointless prohibitions that inevitably cause organised crime, and the blatant protection of bribery, embezzlement, and organised pedophilia (see the Epstein cover-up case).

And the few fall guys the state does end up making a spectacle out of punishing are just occasional performances to appease the people and restore deluded faith in the state; not to mention to get rid of inner-circle members who dared go off-script, which also serves as an example — a warning — to the rest. This is the whole point of the deliberate exposure of the Epstein case, without anyone being punished: It’s those in power setting up the stage for what could happen to their ‘associates’ should said ‘associates’ cross their masters.

But most people simply see this organisation and order provided by the state (and miserably at that), and that’s good enough for them to assume that organisation and order can only come from the threat and intimidation of a centralised hegemony, a monopoly of violence, even if it’s a kakistocracy. They’d rather have a fool for a king than no king at all, as they imagine the alternative to be chaotic. And who can blame them for this delusion? Inner circles are not based on trust, but rather, mutually assured destruction.

People see the “good” that comes from the state, which is simply risk management services: basic, common-sense rules such as the prohibition of theft and murder, and the protection of property (even though the state itself consistently violates these rules through the extortionary theft of taxation and the insane notion of military “duty”, not to mention exposure to state-incentivised war.

So naturally, if the state positions itself as the arbiter of order enforcing common-sense regulations, then people assume that there must be some sort of inherent “benevolence” in the state. But “the state” is just a concept, not a divine entity. The state is made up of the people in positions of perceived authority. These positions of perceived, faith-based authority grant them the willing subservience of the population, which in turn submits to taxation and obedience, and therefore makes authority a reality. But authority is non-existent before we fall for its bluff.

What motivates people in positions of state power to go out of their way to regulate and enforce policies that are generally desired by the population?

If the state is all-powerful and monopolistic in terms of violent enforcement, then what’s stopping those in power from completely disregarding the will of the people and doing whatever they want? In certain parts of history, and of the world today, this is exactly what’s happening, by the way: dictators completely ignoring the well-being of their people. And the type of government a country gets depends entirely on the mindset, beliefs, and tolerances of its population’s culture.

So, again: What’s motivating the state to do the good things it does, albeit miserably and inefficiently?

Appeasement. That’s it. The collar needs to be tight enough to keep the slave from escaping, but not too tight, lest it break or make the slave unproductive and rebellious. ‘Breads, circuses, and propaganda’ are quintessential to any state’s survival; subordinate populations need to be complacent enough to tolerate subordinance… just enough, though, lest they realise they never needed masters after all.

How tight or loose the collar of statist servitude gets depends entirely on the collective culture of a population. Islamic cultures tend to be much more subservient, due to the autocratic and political nature of Islam. Same goes for the shame-based cultures of the Far East. The West tends to be more individualist and freedom-oriented, which is why the scam, deception, and hypocrisy of “democracy” was invented to “loosen the collar” a bit, and to cultivate the illusion of freedom of the Westerner.

Some will assert that, since the state has an incentive to appease the people, then somehow “democracy works”. They assume that those in government must respect the will of the people; otherwise they are not voted next time, or they are punished by the challenger candidate (I’m still waiting for Trump to “arrest Hillary”, by the way). Why aren’t there any legal consequences for betrayed commitments by politicians? Why is the state so worthless in dispensing accountability?

Yes… I’m here to agree with — to concede, even to — state apologists, and admit that the state, despite its monopolistic hold on violence and narrative over a given population, still has some incentive to please and appease the people, even to the bare minimum, much like a slave owner still needs to provide food, clothing, accommodation, sanitation, healthcare, and even some comfort and entertainment to his slaves, lest they become unproductive, or even worse, rebellious.

But this incentive for the state to “provide” is not there BECAUSE of its monopoly; the state’s incentive to provide exists DESPITE its artificial monopoly of governance services.

If even a monopoly has some incentive to appease its customers (the latter having no other choice but to patronise the monopolist), then imagine how much more incentive competing businesses have when they antagonise each other in a free market? Anyone with basic comprehension of economics understands that the freer the market, the better the quality and price the consumer enjoys.

Free-market competition, free from the state’s bribery-driven interventions, is the great equaliser of wealth.

What statelessness is and isn’t

Statelessness is not synonymous with chaos; statelessness is simply decentralised, competitive self-governance driven by incentives and by the deterrence of self-defence, as opposed to centralised, monopolistic government driven only by the threat of violence, facilitated by the almost full prohibition of self-defence, which renders you reliant on the state’s artificial monopoly of judiciary and policing “services”.

Decentralised governance already emerges spontaneously even today, continuously and organically, in that little free market we are allowed to have.

How?

Industries create standards for themselves, intending to outcompete each other, with the consumer as the ultimate beneficiary. To outcompete each other, they are pressured to improve themselves. No one forces them to abide by said standards other than the greatest and fairest “enforcer”: incentive.

Isn’t “incentive” supposed to be the basis on which political candidates are supposed to function, supposedly to appease their voters? Now imagine, instead of prechosen candidates that are totally unaccountable after their election, you get competing businesses, suppliers of the same risk management services the state miserably provides; with the important difference being that businesses are accountable to their clientele, and should they fail, they get punished with loss of revenue.

Competition is the most merciless,most fair, and most meaningful regulator; the only regulator we need.

Incentives work, even under the monopoly of the state, where prechosen political candidates still have some incentive to somewhat appease their voters; otherwise, mountains of propaganda and verbal appeasement to skew and distort public opinion wouldn’t be necessary.

I shouldn’t have to explain that a competitive market is more efficient, effective, and fair than a monopoly. And governance services are no different from any market.

Governance is a market of services: risk management, insurance, security, lawmaking. This is all the state is supposed to do, and it’s nothing that competitive governance providers can’t provide better and cheaper.

The communication mistake that the statelessness movement keeps making is proposing the abolition of the state, and implying it will be replaced by nothing. Of course then, statists fall for the false dichotomy of either statism or disorder. Can you then honestly blame them for reacting with so much hostility at the suggestion of statelessness?

But this is a false assumption, regardless:

Anti-state means anti-monopoly of governance services. Anti-state means the displacement of the inefficient, centralised monopoly of government (the state) by the more efficient, decentralised governance services.

Decentralised governance is more efficient because it is driven by free-market pressures of competition, unlike a monopoly of governance (the state), which can get away with poor service, as it has been doing for thousands of years. And since the state is, for many, akin to a god, I can make an argument for polytheism as opposed to atrocious monotheism. The former means gods have to compete to earn the worship of the people; gods are incentivised to do better. This is contrary to the monotheistic “god” of the Levantine superstition: the disgusting Yahweh declaring to be the only god, an admittedly jealous god, a genocidal psychopath who cruelly toys with his helpless slaves.

I digress simply to show that competition makes you humble, and thus, a better person willing to offer value to others.

Even gods submit to the power of competition, which humbles anyone, as it should.

Decentralised governance means more order and better rules, more effectively applied, compared to the inefficiency of centralised, monopolistic government. In decentralised governance, every right, or should I say liberty, is secured not by a corruptible centralised government (which, like any monopoly, is inevitably corrupt, inefficient, and ineffective), but by private insurance initiatives that have the potential to be even more organic to what people actually want governed, plus much greater effectiveness. The state is just one big monopoly of risk management services, after all.

Aren’t private businesses corruptible? Of course they are. But given free competition unhindered by the corrupt state, competing businesses will be rewarded or punished by their clientele, depending on their performance. Show me one instance where the centralised state paid the price for its consistently bad performance. At best, when states completely mess up, they are taken down by rebellion, coup, or US intervention, and they are swiftly replaced with yet another state monopoly, just as bad, but with a different branding to appease and pacify the deludedly hopeful masses.

As a quick example of how decentralised governance would work (given enough people understand it), let’s say we decide to abolish the centralised state. This means there is suddenly no central legislation or policing protecting your life. It’s safe to assume that enough people will be interested in protecting their lives beyond what they can protect themselves. So, in the absence of the state (which barely protects your life, anyway, and in many cases, it actually threatens it), people will have to insure their lives.

Historically, insurance companies and even futures contracts emerged to minimise risk, and nothing enforces those contracts other than incentive. Read the economic history of the emergence of insurance companies for evidence. Need further proof? Underworld “contracts” and even corrupt dealings within centralised government occur without any state enforcing contracts. The only enforcer is competition-driven incentive!

This way, insurance companies are elevated to competing legislators, because, again, legislation is nothing more than a risk management service. These competing legislators must obey their customers and minimise their risk too. If they must provide compensation to their customers for the loss of life or property or liberty, then they have every incentive to minimise that risk.

How can insurance companies incentivise people not to violate the liberties of others which have been insured? Simple. A clause in insurance contracts: If you increase your risk rating by violating people’s insured liberties, insurance companies will have to charge you more to get insured, or might even deny you your insurance privileges, thus exposing you to all kinds of revenge by people who will not have their risk rating by harming you.

Insurance companies even today share a common registry of individuals’ risk ratings. They compete with each other, but they also cooperate with each other to help reduce their collective risk. The cybersecurity industry works the same way, as competing providers share threat intelligence on a daily basis. No state enforcement required. Only incentives drive them to be better.

Want to protect your property better than the state ever could? You insure it. If you lose it, your insurance compensates you. In the absence of a centralised monopoly of violence (the state), insurance companies will have the option to add a clause in their contracts: if you steal, murder, or rape (the things our customers insure against), then you will not be insured, which means anyone can take revenge against you without losing their insurance privileges. Surprisingly enough, this has way more deterrence power than the state, which protects pedophiles and lets loose psycho murderers. If anything, the state creates criminal classes by arbitrarily banning things with immense demand, thus giving rise to gangs, smuggling, and black markets that resort to violence due to the risk they face from the violent state.

So, in decentralised governance, when you insure your life, you provide incentives to others to safeguard your life. The incentive is the privilege (not an entitlement) to access insurance for themselves. If they murder you, they lose the privilege (not the right) of life insurance (or their insurance premium skyrockets), because insurance companies think twice about insuring you when you pose a financial risk to them (as you know from car insurance). At the very least, anyone who commits against others will have their insurance premium increased, since by hurting others, they force insurance companies to issue reimbursements, thus increasing the risk for insurance companies as a whole, unless they pay for the reimbursement themselves.

See how it works? Crime becomes financial risk (which it is — even you financially quantify your life and of those around you). So, if you engage in crime and thus cost insurance companies money, you either work to compensate for the crime (there is nothing more reformative than penance rather than sadistic punishment in prison), or you lose the preventative effect of being insured yourself, thus becoming exposed to revenge, ostracism, or worse. This isn’t a threat; this is an incentive to behave. And incentives are stronger, more sustainable, more predictable, and more moral and meaningful.

This is how we get laws without centralised government. is a far more organic, efficient, fair, and effective way to regulate a civilised society, and to deal with the monsters in it.

Insurance as lawmaking

Insurance companies in statelessness (and under the state, for that matter) are driven by an incentive to keep their business’s viability by honouring their agreements — even underground bookies honour their commitments, which shows the power of incentive; no state arbitrarily enforcing contracts is required. Insurance companies, as they already do today, assign to us all a risk rating. Criminals pose a high insurance risk because they force insurance companies as a whole to issue reimbursements to their customers. Criminals have a higher insurance premium (their fine or punishment) for committing crimes, and if they pose too much of a risk, like murdering insurance customers, then murderers lose access to insurance. Murderers thus become exposed, not only to your family, but to anyone who doesn’t want to live next door to a murderer. Private businesses may also choose to bar them and ostracise them, which is more than I can say about the deluded state trying so hard to supposedly “rehabilitate criminals and reintroduce them into society after it has tortured and turned them into even worse monsters in prison.

Nobody wants to live next door to a murderer; when someone murders someone, others become aggrieved and defensive against the murderer. Since they have to pay someone for your deaf. No, you don’t need a centralised government to enforce contracts. The only contract required is competition and free-market goodwill. The proof of this lies in how the first insurance companies emerged from simple bookies outside of any monarchy and any “law”. Also consider how organised crime, as well as all corrupt dealings within government, occur without any contract enforceable by government. The irony of the state proving that the state is unnecessary… And all these “lawless contracts” are faster, more efficient, and more effective in their application because they are spared the deliberate red tape of the state (deliberate to maintain the illusion of the state’s supposed “necessity”.

Anyway, insurance companies share data even today. They know who poses more of a risk than others, and they share this information as a mutually beneficial practice. If insurance companies lose money when their customers are murdered, this means that investigation is part of their cost-saving strategy. And due to competition, this means they’re more motivated to find your murderer than any state bureaucrat who will keep his job and fat paycheck whether your murderer is found or not.

There is no accountability in the state because the state is a monopoly of the “services“ it so miserably presumes to offer. Once a criminal is identified, the criminal has two options: Pay for damages both to the insurance company and to the family (all will be agreed upon in the insurance contract), or, if the criminal is unrepentant, the insurance company will share the criminal’s risk rating with all the other insurance companies so that they know that this person poses a high risk to insurance companies. People who commit crimes in general, whether against insured or uninsured people, are much more likely to force insurance companies to reimburse more frequently.

As a measure to prevent murder — or any affliction against which people put their money where their mouth is and get insured — insurance companies will logically deny insuring high-risk individuals who commit said afflictions against insurance customers. In the case of car insurance, if you pose too much of a risk on the road, your insurance premium goes up, or, if you’re too much of a risk, no insurance will cover you. Despite being competitors, they all communicate with each other, and they share their risk ratings and blacklists.

You might think that since there is no one to force you to go to prison in statelessness, that simply losing your right to insurance is not a big deal. But that’s potentially worse than prison. Because this means you have all kinds of people — the family of a murder victim, for example, plus any other vigilante who doesn’t want to live in a community where his children and murderers share the same air — would have every opportunity to seek out murderers. And nobody would punish them if they killed the murderers, because murderers would be uninsured. And vigilantism must be a last-resort option to ensure proper, fair justice. Contrast this to what we have now, where the state slaps murderers on the wrist, makes them even more psychotic in prison, and then lets them out to roam freely among our children; and you can’t do anything about it.

But it doesn’t have to end in vigilantism. Ostracism is just as bad, if not a worse punishment. Are you an unrepentant murderer? Then you don’t get to enter the mall, the supermarket, the road, or walk past a school. Sure, some businesses or property owners might let you use their property or services, but good luck living like this. And yes, even property without a centralised state is determined and protected by insurance (still better and cheaper than your property and income tax, to name a few).

The implied warning of ostracism is more of an incentive for criminals to work to pay up for damages, whatever they may be. This means victims of criminals don’t have to pay for the imprisonment and “rehabilitation” of murderers on top of suffering damages, and the criminals have a better chance of being meaningfully rehabilitated through work, penance, and retribution. The prison system is a barbaric, archaic relic of the past still used by savage, backward centralised government.

And property? Well, just like in the case of the state, property is first finders keepers: the first who finds a piece of property managers to homestead and insure it, gets to have it safeguarded and honoured by insurance companies that now also serve as property registries. How is property determined under the state? War, genocide, arbitrary seizures, and hostile takeovers by corporate monopolies that would not have existed if not for lobbying/bribing government for favourable regulations and tax exemptions at the expense of smaller competitors.

The state is inevitable only when a critical mass of people believes it is inevitable

Let’s go back to my initial premise that statelessness doesn’t work. Yes, statelessness doesn’t work with the current population of Earth because a social system’s feasibility relies first on the people’s belief in that system. This is why we have different brands of statism that reflect their general populations’ beliefs, values, and tolerances to authoritarianism. This is why states ruling over freedom-oriented populations must perform gaslighting propaganda and Olympic-level mental gymnastics to convince their plebs they are somehow “free”, which is how the scam of democracy, the illusion of self-rule, came to be, and it’s why it applies only to populations that supposedly value freedom (yet wouldn’t tell what freedom was if it slapped them in the face).

Thought experiment: Let’s say you chose one million people from Earth and about 80% of them were devout Muslims from Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, etc. You ship them all to the first Mars to form the first colony, and they get to choose their brand of governance, since enforcing laws from Earth wouldn’t be practical. So, you give them the means to survive and thrive up there and let them choose whatever the fuck form of governance they want, starting from total statelessness and non-governance of any kind as the default. What kind of governance do you think that this sample of the population would resort to? Absolutely, with 100% probability, they would form an Islamic theocracy, with a khalif or emir or king in charge. And who gives a fuck about the 20% minority or non-Muslims? Isn’t the total disregard of the will of minorities the foundation of democracy, anyway?

For any system of governance to work, you need a critical mass of the population believing in it, and willing to abide by its arbitrary assigning of perceived “authority”.

Belief in a system, even deluded belief (especially so), is what grants that system substance, just like in the case of currency. The worthless piece of paper you hold in your hands, or even more worthless, the digital representation of that paper, or even cryptocurrency, or even totally worthless stock of consistently unprofitable companies like Tesla and SpaceX, have functional “value“ because people believe they have value. The same goes with the bluff of “authority”: For someone to have “authority” over you, you must first believe they do; otherwise, their impositions would merely be circumstantial and unjustified manifestations of threats. Authority means your “justified” oppression with your permission and excuse. And granted, oftentimes we fear our abusers so much we justify them in our minds to avoid the distress from an injustice imposed on us.

I hope you understand now that systems of governance are applied in a given population, not because they are the most efficient or fair, but because they are simply the systems that those people just happened to believe in, depending on cultural tradition or propaganda. It’s why we have so many systems of governance today, varying from country to country, and they all seem to more or less “work“, meaning they are somewhat sustainable.

Soviet communism was sort of sustainable for decades. Islamic theocracies have been sort of sustainable. Corrupt states relying on brutal warlords to control the populations, like some of the hellholes in Africa and the Far East, are sort of sustainable. Covert tyrannies under the guise of “Western democracy“ are somewhat sustainable. So what? Hell is sustainable. Slavery was sustainable for most of human history, and still is in many parts of the world (see post-Gaddafi Libya).

If I did the same Mars colony experiment with a critical mass of that sample population being of any other persuasion, then that persuasion would determine the sustainable system of governance of that colony. If that Mars colony was mostly made up of people like me (who actually believed not only in the feasibility, but in the superiority of statelessness as a model for social order), then centralised self-governance would be the natural emerging system of governance, even if a minority were fascists, communists, or Islamists alike.

So I admit: If we magically abolished the state today, then we — as a whole — would immediately seek to replace it with a different kind of state of the same kind, just with different faces and different rhetoric behind the wheel. This is exactly what has happened with every single revolution in history: They take out one tyrant and then install another, maybe a little bit softer, or a bit more sweet-sounding, who can say the things people want to hear. Or maybe they replace the previous state with the delusion of democracy, the devious lie that supposedly “the people rule“. In fact, democracy is just tyranny with extra steps: Pre-chosen puppet candidates, or revolving-door tyrants, are not true freedom, since politicians are generic and vague with their unaccountable promises. Are politicians punished, fined, or jailed for failing to deliver exactly what they promised? Of course not. Yet the dumb masses think they’re somehow ruling.

Democracy is simply less honest tyranny. Anybody who still thinks that democracy is freedom or the rule of the people is hopelessly and usefully deluded.

Why statelessness is impossible… yet

Statelessness does not work in this human colony of Earth, not right now anyway. The current population is still barbaric and reluctant to move past its archaic psychological conditioning. We, as a whole, are hopelessly traumatised, brainwashed, demoralised, reliant on parent figures due to unresolved childhood trauma, and accustomed to being ruled rather than being accountable and brave enough to self-govern. And I don’t see how that could change since the cycle of abuse, this generational trauma and brainwashing, seems to have no end, century after century, millennia after millennia. There seems to be some generational improvement, perhaps, as Lloyd DeMause observes in his highly underrated contribution to humanity, ‘The Origins of War in Child Abuse’, but if we are to ever escape our deluded need for self-enslavement, it will take centuries of one generation being slightly less traumatised than the previous one.

And this is what it all boils down to: child abuse and trauma. When your parents traumatise you with various forms of child abuse — be it physical, psychological, neglect, or subtler forms of child abuse like smothering and enmeshment, you become reliant on authority figures. Traumatised as you are, you assume by default that authority figures are needed just like a child needs parents, since your childhood was never naturally resolved. Thus, in your state of perpetual infantilism, you seek daddy and mommy figures in the state, or your surrogate parent. It’s no accident we call it the ‘nanny state’: it protects us, nurtures us, smothers us as we suck on its teat. But healthy adults shouldn’tneed parenting anymore.

And if you look around you, the people who genuinely believe in statelessness are either the very few who had good parents (and thus were allowed to mature as self-governing adults), or those who have somehow identified, acknowledged, and somewhat resolved their childhood trauma.

The staunchest of state apologists are the ones who can’t even recognise their childhood trauma, or even worse, they make excuses for it, like praising their parents for beating them, for shaming them as a way to supposedly build “discipline”. Yet the only discipline is self-discipline. Discipline towards others is called mindless subservience and obedience.

“Disciplining” children is never about teaching them what’s right, and more importantly, why it’s right; “disciplining” children is about teaching them to unquestionably submit to perceived “authority” figures, and that “might makes right”. So when the children randomly find themselves in positions of circumstantial power, they feel morally entitled to abuse others; this is what abusive parenting has taught us. And this is what the statist (the vast majority of the population of Earth) is: willingly obedient, a slave who hates freedom, a pleb who desires a tyrant because he hates himself. Abuse children long enough, and they will think they deserved it.

Nothing can change with regard to our historical commitment to barbaric “authority”. Nothing can change unless the mindset of a critical mass of people changes; if enough of us begin to understand the benefits of decentralised self-governance (statelessness) over centralised government (the state), and thus create enough free-market demand for decentralised governance services.

The only way to outgrow our deluded need for the state is not via violent revolt, whereby its squashing would further empower the state, and its success would make the revolutionaries the new rebranded state, as in the case of the failed American Revolution (revolutionaries fought for statelessness, and instead got the most ruthless militaristic state in history).

The only way to get rid of the state is through free-market solutions (governance services) to displace what the state miserably presumes to provide. These free-market solutions need to become available while under and in parallel to the state. But there first needs to be enough demand for such services before enough supply emerges in response. Therefore, decentralised governance first requires enough people to have the mindset for it, enough people with minds outside of the paralysis by government, which is what I call our overreliance on government, and our inability to look to or even conceive alternative providers of government “services”. Even the existence of the state required enough people to deludedly believe in it, and that takes mountains of systematic child abuse to be the case.

Objections

Objection 1: “For statelessness to work, you need a vast number of people to believe in it first!”

Really?

This same objection applies, even more so, to the state. For the state to work, you need a vast number of people, consistently propagandised, brainwashed, and primed from childhood to believe in the state. That’s why religions and governments alike ‘get them young’. Once you mold an innocent child’s mind early on, it’s almost impossible for them to change their neural pathways in adulthood.

Traumatise children with parental abuse, state schooling indoctrination, or terrorising stories from the atrocious bible, and you get socialist Stockholm-Syndrome-afflicted mindsets always looking for abusers and loving them for it.

Objection 2: “Insure my liberties? Does this mean I have to pay for my rights?”

You already pay the state for your “right” to exist by paying direct and indirect taxes; at least, in statelessness, you reserve the right not to pay.

Most of your income already goes to direct and, mostly, hidden taxes so that the state can waste it on nonsense and war. Even if you’re on welfare, most of everything you pay for is made up of taxes, thanks to the centralised state. That’s not even counting the unemployment and thus lower wages (poverty) deliberately caused by the state’s preferential interventionism.

Lobbying (a euphemism for bribing) is the rule of the game of politics and statism as a whole. Those with the right leverage get to rent out the apparatus of the state, and thus, state interventionism leads to favourable regulation to give unfair advantages to some. This is why huge corporations rise; corporatism is the side-effect of centralised government.

When the state can be bought by the highest-bidding lobbyist, legal barriers to entry in a market exist, and smaller competitors can never compete with the big sharks who have already purchased the state’s favour. The state will always favour those who bribe more than those who submit a useless, worthless vote.

You thought your worthless vote mattered more than the lobbyist’s handshake?

So, if you have to pay to have your rights protected, you have a better chance at doing that, cheaper, with better service, and in a more vibrant economy in a decentralised governance model instead of under a state.

Objection 3: “What about those people who aren’t insured against a crime? Does this mean anyone can hurt them and get away with it?”

Not necessarily. If you don’t have life insurance, and someone flat-out murders you, then there is nothing forcing an insurance company to pay your family a reimbursement. But this doesn’t mean your murderer is off the hook: someone who is in the habit of murdering people still poses significant risk to insurance companies who insure the lives of their customers. The murderer’s risk rating and social standing will suffer as a result, which again means they could lose their life insurance privileges, which then exposes them to revenge and ostracism.

Objection 4: “Who will investigate crimes to identify criminals?”

Free competitive markets work much better than monopolies due to the driving force of incentive. Centralised governments (states) are notoriously horrible at whatever job they presume to assign to themselves because they’re not incentivised; they won’t lose any customers (taxpayers) if they offer you poor quality.

State police are generally useless at protecting you, and generally, police pose more of a risk to peaceful, law-abiding citizens than they offer actual protection. Don’t believe me? How ask yourself: Do you feel more concerned when a gang-affiliated car is following you, or when a cop car is following you?

Judicial services? Even worse. Try to find justice or fairness in a court of “law” where laws are made by the highest-bidding lobbyist for preferential treatment by the state at the expense of others.

If insurance providers have an incentive to identify people’s predisposition to risk, they will do so much better than any centralised government. Insurance companies and commercial banks already do this, extremely efficiently.

Conclusion

If the state, whether locally or globally, would collapse under its own inefficiencies, as it’s happened plenty of times in history, we’d rush to institute a new brand of the state. This is because we never lose our faith in the state. We only lose our faith in a particular brand of state. In all of human history, whenever a state collapsed, a new threat-based state was reinstated almost immediately, with fresh faces and adapted rhetoric promising renewed hope. Yet nothing changes other than cosmetic differences and perhaps different privileged classes. The system of governance remains the same: centralised, autocratic, and threat-based.

The state, whether monarchy, theocracy, communism, or the scam of republic/democracy, effectively “has” authority because people believe it has authority. It’s the same mechanism that grants functional “value” to worthless paper and digital currency, or shares and commodities. They have subjective “value” because enough people believe they have value.

Shake that belief, and the currency, share, or commodity collapses in a day. The same applies to the state:

If enough people understand that there’s no inherent moral authority in people who call themselves “the state”, then the state collapses in a day.

Statelessness doesn’t work unless a population is primed for it. The same goes for the state, even more so: no state can even work unless a population is primed for it.

This is why religions and states, regardless of their type, always seek to monopolise the education of children, or more accurately, their psychological conditioning, indoctrination, and brainwashing. All state schooling teaches is absolute obedience to perceived “authority”. Get them young, as they say.

The state is a monopoly of governance services.

In all monopolies there can be no accountability because consumers cannot take their business elsewhere. This ensures inefficient, ineffective, and overpriced supply, inadequately satisfying only a bare minimum of the demand. The monopolists exploit their consumers because the former can get away with it. This is human nature, and the only way to keep humans civil is by keeping them humble — not humiliated. The only way to stay humble is through competition, in realising you are not unique or superior to anyone, and you must therefore earn what you get.

Decentralised governance keeps you humble. Centralised government keeps you humiliated. Know the difference.

Statism — this artificial monopoly of governance — is a cancer, whereby the sickness thrives. Under the state, corruption is rewarded, simply because govenance is a monopoly.

On the other hand, decentralised governance maximises the chances that bad apples are punished, ostracised, empoverished, or anihilated if they dare provide bad service or initiate aggression (as opposed to the state protecting the criminal classes). In decentralised governance, you get to reward good governance and punish the bad. Only through competition can the consumer have such power. Again, not a 100% guarantee, but you can expect more fairness in competition than under an artificial monopoly.

It’s time to break the archaic, artificial, violence-driven monopoly of governance services.

Recap: Why statelessness doesn’t work at the moment?

Why doesn’t statelessness — decentralised governance — work on this planet right now? Because the market of ideas is also subject to the law of supply and demand.

If I snapped my fingers to make all states disappear right now, the populations of earth would not see this as the massive opportunity to form decentralised systems of self-governance. Instead, in their panic and in their hopeless fixation and reliance on hegemony, they’d instead seek to empower and elevate others — anyone, really, as we do today — to positions of perceived “authority”, and thus centralised government would emerge instantly. Of course, infighting would ensue as aspiring “leaders” would push useful-idiot followers to kill and die for the leaders’ place at the top. In fact, seizing positions of state power is the only reason for making war.

And this is why we, those in favour of decentralised government, don’t preach the abolition of the state; we instead encourage building decentralised governance services despite and in parallel of the state, until the state is rendered totally irrelevant, unwanted, and thus displaced.

Much like the value of anything is subjective and reliant upon “what people believe is valuable, necessary, and scarce”, so does the viability of a system depend on whether or not people “believe” it is necessary and feasible. Communism is feasible if enough people believe it is. Islamic theocracy is feasible if enough people believe it is. National socialism (nazism) is feasible if enough people believe it is. This is why we get these different types of state government, which accurately reflect the local populations’ convictions.

Barbaric, child-sacrificing, shaman-led tribe hierarchies are feasible if enough people believe they are. Slave-owning republics, whether Hellenic, Roman, or American, become feasible because enough people believe they are feasible.

So, what system of governance “works” is what enough people in a specific geographical location believe “works”. It’s a matter of collective perception.

Democracy, for all its hypocrisy, worked in the ancient Hellenic world because enough people then became exposed to philosophy and began questioning the perceived bluff of authority of monarchs. Even though democracy proved to be a misguided deception (just tyranny with extra steps), it still demonstrated good intent and social maturity: that the people shouldn’t bow to authority, and that they can instead self-govern. They didn’t have the IQ back then to realise how decentralised government could work, so they instead relied on voting: the tyranny of the majority over the minority. In the initial forms of direct democracy, all voters (only male property owners) would get together and vote on each policy separately; no corrupt representation. That was a good step in the right direction but still misguided, and it ended up voting for a tyrant every few years, which ended up in square one, where we are today: tyranny using extra steps. Still, the whole act of voting showed some understanding and direction, and that direction was the result of a critical mass of people believing in the feasibility of a different form of governance. People who lack this social maturity and aversion to tyranny don’t call for democracy, misguided and deceitful as democracy is.

At least recognising that tyranny is bad, regardless of being fooled by the scam of democracy, is a step in the right direction.

And today? Whenever a state collapses, it is replaced by another, of a different brand, just to alleviate the causes of the previous state’s collapse. Always. Why? Because there is market demand for centralised government by a critical mass of people. And the form of that new style of state, whether communism, Islamic theocracy, dictatorship, or the scam of “western democracy”, depends on the collective beliefs of a given population; what sort of government they believe is feasible and optimal for them. The fact that we have so many different styles of centralised government (albeit all centralised government) proves this point: that we get what we — collectively — want.

This is why voters have no moral right to complain about the ills of centralised government, just like any gambler shouldn’t complain when he loses; you played the game, you understood and accepted the rules, so shut the fuck up when you lose.

At the end of the day, from a collective point of view, we already live, mostly, under voluntaryism. The human population collectively desires centralised, monopolistic, and therefore oppressive government, and it gets it. This is the free market at work. The fact that we get unfree markets is the result of free markets: we get what we (collectively) want. Now imagine if enough of us understood and wanted decentralised government instead. We’d again get what we (collectively) wanted.

Statelessness doesn’t work right now because not enough people want it. If they wanted it, they’d choose to believe it were feasible, and that choice, that belief, would be the thing that made it feasible.

We all choose to believe what suits us. I choose to believe in decentralised governance because it’s more efficient and moral, and would therefore maximise collective prosperity on a material, intellectual, and spiritual level. The economic efficiencies of a free market are undeniable, as they are driven organically by forces of competition whereby no state interventionism or tax-induced economic suppression or money supply monopolies can cause inflation, unemployment, monopolies, and wealth inequalities.

But when most people would rather be kings of ashes than live among equals in prosperity, then we get statism, with infinite opportunities to one-up others on a scorched earth. They don’t mind a scorched earth, as long as they get opportunities for power trips and stepping on others. And this is what voting is: stepping on others, and cheering like a fanboy when your “team wins”, like mindless football, rejoicing for strangers who win big at your expense, as long as they wear your colours. The reality is, though, that this Faustian gambit of statism ends up with everyone burned.

Freedom-oriented individuals (like me), for all their deep understanding of economics and human action, can often act as total cretins when it comes to communicating their message. And I’m beginning to suspect that many self-announced “anarchists” are nothing but state propagandists tasked with twisting the orderly and peaceful meaning of statelessness.

The loaded term of ‘anarchy’

When you use the word ‘anarchy’ to describe decentralised governance as opposed to the artificial, violently imposed monopoly of governance by the centralised state (the ultimate warlord), you do your cause a disservice.

I don’t care what the ancient Hellenic etymology and meaning of the word ‘anarchy’ means, or used to mean. Yes, anarchy actually means ‘the absence of authority’, not the absence of order (if anything, the absence of authority is more orderly). But language evolves. Most people perceive the word ‘anarchy’ to be synonymous with disorder, chaos, and Mad Max dystopias; an image that decades of state-funded propaganda has instilled in our brains, leading us to imagine statelessness to be a barbaric, chaotic free-for-all. Yet there is nothing more archaic, barbaric, and chaotic than the state, as we see the arbitrary making of laws, enforcement of laws, and genocidal wars waged against the will of the people involved (anarcho-tyranny).

When you speak of ‘anarchy’, most people either think you’re an antifa psychopath bent on destruction and disorder (another state-funded movement, by the way), or they see you as a wannabe warlord with aspirations of regional domination. Isn’t that what the state is, by the way: a group of warlords with absolute power over their regions, with our submission granted solely on the premise of the threat of violence?

I’ve said it before: stop using the word ‘anarchy’ because the inferred message is that you want to replace the state with nothing, and this scares people.

Governance services are a market, just like any other, and thus they function better when there is market pressure from competition, when customers can boycott to punish bad service, and buycott to reward good service.

Under the artificial monopoly of the state, you can’t just “take your business elsewhere” when it messes up, which it does by default, as all complacent, disincentivised monopolies do.

Because your state is the monopoly of governance services in your area, it dominates your area; you have no choice but to accept the poor governance services of the monopolist (the state) of any area.

Alternatively, with a decentralised provision of such services under competition, it is an inevitable fact that those services will be supplied more effectively and more efficiently; more organically and more cheaply. Statelessness doesn’t mean disorder; quite the opposite. Statelessness means more order, more peace, more prosperity, more fairness.

How governance services can be (and already are, to some degree) provided by competing vendors is beyond the scope of this article. Systems of governance are but a matter of belief

Ultimately, the system of governance that becomes feasible, sustainable, and desired for a given population is a matter of belief. This is why different styles of governance are feasible in one area but not in another: communism, Islamic theocracies, a Somalia-style unholy alliance of state and warlord, so-called “progressive” LGBT-worshipping democracies, or full-blown nationalistic fascism; all these rely solely on the beliefs of a critical mass of a given population.

If enough people understood and believed what I and my readers do, then we wouldn’t tolerate anyone elevating himself to the pedestal of “ruler”. We’d expect leaders in their field, subject to the scrutiny of competition. We wouldn’t allow a single, centralised, and monopolistic source of governance services. We’d instead put our money where our mouths would be, and we’d spontaneously give rise to demand for governance services by competing vendors, just like insurance companies (the state is nothing but one big risk management service, after all). If enough demand for such services existed, then there would be enough supply.

Belief is what gives subjective power to perceived authority, and to any social system. Faith is what gives subjective value to intangible things.

Just like commodity prices, fiat paper currencies backed by nothing, worthless stock of companies that never made a profit like Tesla and SpaceX, and the bluff of authority: Social systems work if people believe they work.

Belief is what matters, not objective knowledge. If you “believe” something is credible, valuable, or authoritative, then it becomes that, because “social systems” are arbitrary concepts, not objective reality. Sure, they are governed by certain natural laws, like incentives, but how we direct that incentive is a matter of belief. If you believe in yourself, you can do almost anything.

If you don’t believe in yourself, even if you have massive potential, you won’t accomplish anything. The same goes with systems of governance, whether centralised or not.

This is why education (or miseducation) is vital to the state and the church alike: if you can control the beliefs of most of your population, you can do whatever you want with them. And those who lust after power love the centralisation of governance; it gives them opportunities to rule over people.

If a critical mass of the people hold the belief that “we need a centralised monopoly of the state, otherwise we’d have chaos and disorder”, then of course, statism will be the only possible system for that population. If a state administration collapses (and they frequently do), it is immediately replaced by another type of statism, a theatrical rebrand to appease the masses and restore their trust (faith) in the centralised state.

Does this mean that the state is inevitable?

For a population that, as a whole, believes in statism, then yes, absolutely, the state is inevitable. And the brand of the state depends on the population’s beliefs. When the population changes its beliefs, the type of state swiftly changes, because it needs that belief; otherwise, it ceases to be sustainable. See the example of the USSR. The countries under the communist abomination that was the USSR were willing to take communist squalor for decades, until newer generations of people witnessed the prosperity of other types of states that allowed some free market competition (the only thing that brings prosperity). And then, just as people began behaving recalsintrantly against the state, defying it, and blatantly refusing to take its mandates seriously, the state rebranded, entering with “new freedoms”, an opportune loosening of the collar to appease the agitated slaves, and thus keep them captive.

Because most people believe in authority, so they will seek out authority. And when you fall for the bluff of authority, then authority becomes real, since your belief compels you to submit to authority; thus you make authority real. You never knew that behind the bluff of authority was a bad hand, a nothingburger, no moral authority and no necessity for authority.

Don’t worry. If the world’s population of today ever found itself in a Mad Max scenario, it would instantly form regional states, because the state-obsessed people of today would seek out leaders. And isn’t this what happens in Mad Max, Waterworld, and every other parody of ‘anarchy’ out there anyway? Isn’t there always a leader or a community consolidated around authority figures, and these states war with each other because mindless drones are willing to obey just about anything from a perceived authority figure? Isn’t this what statism is?

A message to the sceptics of decentralised governance

If procreation were a 1990s commercial, it would sound like this: “Are you depressed and consumed by meaninglessness? Have a child! Are you bored, lonely, and crushed by feelings of worthlessness because nobody cares to love you? Have a child! A child has no choice but to worship you, no matter how worthless you objectively are! You don’t even need to try to be better! Your child, this object of affection by default, is condemned to need you, to be attached to you, to love you, no matter how badly you treat it. Your very own human pet will constantly beg to spend time with you, thus mitigating your loneliness and irrelevance in a world that adulthood shows is cruel and psychotic. Don’t worry about bringing a new child into such a world you now know is bad: Your child will feel grateful for the prison of life you put it in, and will believe it owes you everything, even though it never had a choice to be born, or even a choice of better parents.”

Introduction

Sorry for my bluntness, but most parents (if not all) are self-righteous hypocrites. Their motivation behind procreating is not to give love but to receive it. Parents presume that just by satisfying their physical and emotional urges of procreating is somehow a virtue or a praiseworthy accomplishment; that somehow obeying animalistic and gross instincts makes them heroes. It isn’t, and it doesn’t, as any animal and any barbarian can procreate.

Most parents imagine that the biological imperative, this instinct or biological programming that makes them feel attached to their offspring, without even appreciating the individuality of their offspring, somehow makes them saints. It doesn’t.

Being attached to objects is not the same as loving someone after recognising them for what defines them as an individual.

Dispelling the myth of the virtue of parenting

Any idiot can procreate. A female in a coma can be inseminated and then give birth unconsciously. A child rapist procreates. A terrorist, who deliberately breeds fanatical child-soldiers and slaves, can procreate. There is no virtue in the act of procreating alone.

And in the act of parenting, meaning, supplying children the means to survive? Since they never chose to be born, and they never chose you, of all parents, to be theirs, then you owe them, not only everything they need to survive, but also everything they need to thrive, in both physical and emotional means. It’s your obligation to offer them those things, and denying them after having exposed them to life is a crime.

So what if you’re a parent? It’s not a praiseworthy achievement; having a child is an act of self-interest, since you felt the insatiable need to have a child. But the child, in its blissful non-existence, didn’t feel the need to emerge into being, and certainly not the need to be your (of all people) child. You forced this decision on them.

Bringing a life into this world is not an achievement, and it doesn’t make you a hero. If anything, it’s a monumental responsibility due to it being the result of a unilateral decision, plus the parent benefits more than the child. But first you need humility to see the life of your child as a responsibility, and not a source of entitled self-aggrandisement.

Not everyone can be a true parent, one who engages, communicates, and connects with their children, one who encourages them, who humbly understands that children owe absolutely nothing to their parents — nothing at all — and that in reality, children are morally owed good parenting.

You do not owe anything to your parents for forcing you in this reality and nature not of your choosing, especially under their roof, which again you didn’t choose, of all parents. And you especially owe nothing to “god” or the demiurge of this reality, assuming a conscious creator exists, that is.

Good parenting is your moral responsibility

Simply succumbing to your most powerful physical and psychological urges — those of procreating — is no achievement at all. If anything, surrendering to your biological programming is your conscious denial of free will; so much for your pride in your supposed “choices” for which you claim undeserved credit (this is what the insistence on “free will” boils down to).

Ask yourself: Would you have had kids had you not been biologically programmed with sexual dictates, or even more powerful than those, with the compulsion to somehow “cheat death” by creating offspring, a Mini-Me in your image to worship you, gratify your ego, and thus build an imagined “legacy” (immortality project) that will outlive you?

That’s what I see when I see a typical parent: Dr Evil with his Mini-Me, obsessed with himself enough to play God through “creating”, not an independent individual, but a will-less slave, involuntarily subject to his tyranny.

Parental selfishness

We have children, not because we have an excess of love to give, but because we have a desperate need for love to receive, much like when buying a pet. Pets (animal or human ones) are objects compelled to grant us unconditional affection, no matter how horrible we are as individuals, and whose sole purpose is to gratify and aggrandise us, no matter how shitty we are to them and to others… this will-less, soulless automaton who never chose us or even chose to be, and has no ownership of self, and no say in what it does for us.

We get meaningless, involuntary affection from things we don’t respect, and who have no choice but to worship us, and we feel great for it… Pathetic.

Look around you: parents get angry with their children, not when the children commit some great crime, but when the children momentarily withdraw their affection towards the parents — this expected entitlement from the parents’ side. Then, the entitled parent, instead of looking inward to see how his atrocious behaviours could have forced the child to dissociate like that, feels robbed of his imagined prerogative: the absolute, by-default worship of a child.

“They kids don’t call! They kids never want to spend time with us!” Have you ever wondered why? Or is accountability too much to ask?

Consider: before you structure any relationship with a peer, both have a need for that type of relationship beforehand. This isn’t the case with children. Before the creation of a forced parent-child relationship, only the parent felt the need for a human pet to mitigate his loneliness and feed his ego. Only the parent needed someone to vent his frustrations on and act as an emotional tampon for. But the child, in its non-existence, never felt any need for anything; it was free. The child never had the desire to be born, especially not the desire to be born to those specific parents out of millions of others who were objectively better parents.

It takes mountains of narcissism to presume that your child would have chosen to be born to you, if it had a choice, and the meager parenting and life you had to offer.

There is no question: the motivation behind parenting is almost always a self-serving emotional need to somehow “cheat death” with an immortality project, a “legacy” perpetuated by things that will outlive us, by people who are compelled to be attached to us (genetically and psychologically) from birth, without any voluntary say in the matter. This is pride. This is hubris.

Sure, children can one day choose to be detached from their parents, but the effort, resentment, and constant reminders needed to maintain such a task are in themselves a testament to the non-existence of free will when it comes to our psychodynamics, to their unbroken attachment to their parents.

Self-aggrandising

Parents pat themselves on the back for their imagined “benevolence” of bringing a life into this world, but how much praise do you think you deserve for caring for a will-less Tamagochi that only exists to gratify you, and is programmed to do so? Children are your human pets, created by their nature to worship you by default, no matter how shitty a person you are.

You bring a life to this world whose sole purpose from before its conception was to gratify you. Your whole motivation behind it was the satisfaction of your need to become a parent, to fill the void in you that you could not fill alone. Then you have the gall to hate on people who consciously choose not to become parents, people who were self-reliant enough to not feel the need to condemn a life in this meaningless reality.

And let’s not forget the worst manifestation of parental self-aggrandising, the enmeshing exploitation of children to serve as surrogate romantic partners, as replacement husbands or wives for partners whom parents reluctantly settle with… just to have children! The circular irony in this…

Too little, too late

Parents, gods, and governments alike confuse conformity from fear with respect. But conformity out of terror is circumstantial and reliant upon random power dynamics. It’s meaningless, and it doesn’t make you respect-worthy.

When abusive parents grow old and frail, they magically become kinder because they hold no power over their now adult children. But it’s not that meaningful to be kind when you’re weak and needy, nor is it very useful that late in the child’s life.

What makes you good is being kind when you’re strong, not nice when you’re weak.

Conclusion

Am I saying not to have children? No, even though often I feel that humanity does not deserve, nor does it have any purpose to exist. I am also not certain that anyone has any moral right to bring a conscious being into such a meaningless existence; not even “god” has such a moral right.

But if we had the humility to admit that we never deserved to have children, these innocent, pure souls that are condemned to involuntarily worship us by default, even though we never earned or merited such affection, then perhaps we’d be better parents instead of authoritarian monsters presuming that children somehow owe us anything.

Children owe us nothing. We owe children everything because we initiated this unfairly imbalanced relationship with them. They never chose to be born, let alone be born to us. And they have no power over us, when we have absolute power over them. They are helplessly reliant on us for at least 15 years, depending on the nurturing, encouragement, and support we give them. Children are plunged into the prison of our parenthood, without ever having asked for any of that.

Thus, it takes an evil parent to begrudge their children for the “inconveniences” that children bring to the parent. It takes an evil parent to presume that children somehow owe anything to their prison warden for basic provisions of food, shelter, and the occasional prison activities to keep prisoners appeased.

Once we understand this humility that all parenting is exploitative, whereby the parent receives more than the child, then perhaps we’ll become better parents.

And don’t get me wrong: permissive parenting and spoiling are also forms of child abuse because they are, in fact, neglect and failure to provide healthy role models. Being kind to your child does not spoil them. Spoiled children are the result of neglectful parents, those who spend money on kids so that kids stop asking for parental attention, communication, engagement, and connection. Spoiling parents are horrible people because they think they can buy off their obligations to spend time, not money, with their children. Spoiling parents don’t understand how to set boundaries with their children, not through yelling or threats, but through patient explaining, connection, and incentivising.

It’s ironic how people without children have better parenting advice than most parents.

To sum up

Most parents are selfish hypocrites. They don’t want to have kids to spread love. They want to have kids to be number one for someone who has no choice but to see them as number one. Nothing comforts you more than being an object of worship for someone. And kids are condemned to see you as their number one. There is no choice in the matter, at least for their first years.

Children are programmed by default to worship you. And if you manage to mess even that up, they are still involuntarily attached to you through the resentment you caused them by betraying the involuntary attachments they had to you.

Imagine having a kid who is programmed by nature to worship you, and managing to make even that kid despise you. No wonder no one likes you. No wonder you felt the need for a child who has no choice but to love and need you, no matter how shitty you are.

A socialist’s definition of “capitalism” is as socialist as socialism gets: central banking, centrally planned economies, arbitrary and forced wealth redistribution, merger of state and means of production, and thus, inevitable classism…

I know, I know. I keep telling people not to use loaded terms like “capitalism”, since they carry vastly different meanings to different groups, which makes arguing over them impossible.

For example, the libertarian definition of “capitalism” is simply the right to own property, and any denial of property rights is slavery. Yes, socialism denies property rights, the rights slaves were denied, since slaves were used as property themselves. And the fact that your wealth and property are subject to taxes means you don’t really own them, but rather, you’re allowed to keep enough of them to survive and keep producing more, you know, like a proper slave. The only difference is self-awareness: you are a slave who deludes himself he’s free.

Capitalism is masked socialism

“Capitalism”, in the socialist’s mind, is in fact corporatism, which is the state forcibly redistributing wealth from the many to the few: corporate welfare, regulatory favouritism, selective enforcement, tax exemptions for the select party-member few. Yet, this is what socialism in practice always does. Be it the USSR, Cuba, Venezuela, Yugoslavia, China, North Korea, or the United Socialist States with its protectorate, the European Socialist Union (EU); they all apply socialist policies to the max: centralised power in the hands of a few who will inevitably abuse it to favour themselves and their own, thus resulting in elitist classism. All power structures (the most authoritarian being socialism) inevitably lead to elitist abuse.

There is no mechanism by which the masses — the deluded people who relinquished their freedoms to the socialist state — nothing they can do to prevent power abuses by those in power. Once you unleash the centralised state, there is no putting the leash back on. If you think voting pre-selected candidates somehow has any sway over those in power, then keep voting. Apparently, it’s “working”…

Socialism in practice

There is nothing more socialist than Wall Street bailouts and corporate welfare (and all kinds of welfare, for that matter). Corporate welfare is arbitrary and forced wealth redistribution, a practice that is at the core of demented Marxist ideology.

Corporate bailouts, often used to describe “capitalism”, are the definition of wealth redistribution; a fundamental socialist policy. In overtly socialist states like the Soviet Union, productive departments subsidised the underproductive: no accountability, no incentive to improve, no mechanism for fairness. The exact same happens now in “Western capitalist democracies”. Wait, you thought your government wasn’t socialist? You thought your definition of “capitalism” wasn’t just socialism in disguise?

Central banking

Central banking is a quintessential Marxist ideal. Socialists complain about banks, about central bank monopoly of money supply, and about the global banking cartel funding both sides of every war since Napoleon, at least. And socialists are right to complain about these evils. What socialists don’t understand is that central banking is a basic non-negotiable of Marxism/socialism.

Instead of severing their attachment to the sick ideology of socialism, their cognitive dissonance creates deflections and scapegoats: They now call the inevitable symptoms of socialism “capitalism”, so that they don’t have to challenge their cherished belief systems. They’ll blame all the evils of socialist central banking and socialist central planning on the right of the lower classes to own property and wealth. Insane.

Wealth redistribution

Look around you: the fact that in traditionally “capitalist” economies you can’t open any business unless you get a permit from government, or your business model isn’t feasible anymore unless it secures funding from government (meaning, forcing the working taxpayers to subsidise it), goes to show that we live under a textbook socialist system where wealth is redistributed on a whim, forcibly, preferentially, unfairly.

Population redistribution

And don’t get me started on the migrant crisis: this forced movement of populations, with governments around the world paying nomadic people to migrate into their countries so that they can abuse welfare and preferential treatment. Why wouldn’t they?

This migration problem is not organic migration: it’s forced redistribution of population, what the USSR did with its conquered regions. This is what Genghis Khan also did, redistributing populations to minimise the chances of revolt, since revolt requires homogenised populations that foster solidarity and high-trust societies.

Inorganic migration is textbook imperialism. And imperialism is textbook socialism. Just look at China and how it treats its conquered regions of non-Chinese ethnicities.

The capitalist mask of socialism

The problem of corporatism is not the lobbying corporations; that’s the symptom. The underlying problem is our deluded need for the monopoly of violence of the state that is bound to be hijacked by the highest bidder. When we focus on symptoms only, we blind ourselves to the cause.

Conclusion

The opposite of socialism isn’t “capitalism”. Capitalism or corporatism are clever words to disguise socialism in practice.

The opposite of socialism isn’t fascism either, or national socialism. Fascism and socialism are identical in central planning policies and totalitarianism, save for different branding, insignificant differences, like comparing Pepsi to Coca-Cola: Both antagonise each other, not because they are antithetical, but because they are so similar, and thus compete for the same unhinged followers.

All these sick, demented ideologies fall in the category of statism: the twisted, low-IQ idea that humans are evil and dumb, so we must somehow grant a small group of evil, dumb humans absolute power and justification for using arbitrary violence… and thus, somehow, we get order. Ludicrous.

Socialists complain about the things their ideology brings. It’s the same as Christians complaining about the passive, subvertive, sucker-for-punishment nature of “degenerate liberals” who promote subservience and allow every abuse from their condescended noble savages. Christians forget that “degenerate liberals” are exactly what mainstream Christianity treats as ideal: hanging out with prostitutes, turning the other cheek, giving unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, ennobling Samaritan savages, and all kinds of subversive state-worship, especially in Romans 13.

Free-market competition

Statism, whether democracy, monarchy, tyranny, socialism, fascism, or theocracy, is in fact centralised government, and is antithetical only to decentralised self-governance, by which the only regulator needed is the most powerful and organic regulator of all: free-market competition.

Some people resort to the vapid incredulity fallacy: “I just don’t see how statelessness can work; what would stop businesses, unregulated by the force of the state, from achieving power and then abusing it?”

Ridiculous. What would, in fact, stop people in government from abusing their power, which they do daily? Every argument against statelessness applies to the state even more. Wars that no one wants, taxes no one wants, corporate welfare that no one wants, pedophiles running free and protected by the “justice” systems that are supposed to maintain order and earn our trust…

Their answer? Voting, which never, ever works, demonstrably. So, you believe casting an insignificant, weightless suggestion for pre-selected, unaccountable candidates every few years has power swaying the artificial monopoly of the state? And by the same mechanics, you don’t think that your daily boycotting or buycotting of businesses subject to relentless free-market competition — unhindered by the state’s regulatory favouritism — can have even more of an influence than meaningless voting?

If you think voting works, then congratulations: you make a case for free-market competition, which is practically voting every single day, organically, with your wealth, your skin in the game, something that actually bears weight and consideration. Just look at how quality standards and self-regulation emerge in the free market spontaneously, without any government intervention (especially so without it). Just look at how even the biggest corporations try to gauge public opinion and adapt to it. The state does not value public opinion as much because it enjoys an artificial monopoly of governance services, with our naive blessings.

Then again, most voters sell their vote in exchange for privileges at the expense of their neighbour, so corruption always starts from the voter. Corrupt politicians simply supply the demand for corruption.

Again, if you believe your vote somehow pressures politicians to submit to your will, then you must also believe that your purchasing choices in a free-market, decentralised self-governance can work even better than “democratic” voting. Take all the time you want to connect the dots. All the time in the world.

Ever met someone who only looks at you with a smug face as if he’s constantly repeating in his head “I’m better than you, I’m better than you, I’m better than you because of X reason”?

You know the narcissistic specimen… the perpetually raised eyebrow type who feels no need to reciprocate a smile, who looks down on you without even looking at you, who takes himself a tad too seriously, who expects you to take them more seriously than they take you; and if you don’t take them more seriously than they take you — or if you don’t blatantly admire them as much as they delude themselves they deserve to be admired — then they take your equal treatment as as insult, because this is how entitled they are: They demand you to respect them more than they respect you, since their delusion of self-worth has to be nurtured by everyone else too, regularly.

It’s this reliance on constant, cheap, and meaningless external validation from impressionable nobodies that reveals the narcissist’s hopeless, desperate insecurity. This desperate need to constantly one-up everyone, otherwise they will retreat into their default state of self-loathing.

This is the mentality of the needy conqueror, the loathsome, tormented soul that cannot create anything out of self-hatred; it must only crush others, lest it crush itself.

If you don’t show admiration to narcissists, their subconscious voice of realism creeps back up to the conscious surface, and that cognitive dissonance produces panic and hate toward you for daring to do this to them, for forcing them to doubt themselves. This is what happens to those who lack conviction in their self-worth.

This is how desperately they need constant approval. This is how insecure narcissists are.

The cheap approval granted by their faux, pretend-confidence is the drug that keeps them from facing their inadequacies. And just like any drug, they need more and more of it, and hate anyone who denies it to them.

Psychodynamics of narcissism

There’s a mantra narcissists must constantly repeat in their minds so they can keep deluding themselves they’re “better” than you. And that is reminding themselves they one-up you in some circumstantial, inconsequential thing; a perk that, in their imagination, grants them superior status, like happening to be a doctor, or a military scum mercenary, or some rich networked politician. Or physical attributes, like height and attractiveness, or they happen to practice some bullshido martial art, or they were lucky enough to have been enabled to learn some entertaining skills.

You can witness how narcissists keep reminding themselves of this “advantage” of theirs, because they can’t help but keep bringing it up randomly and out of congruency.

And thus, narcissists can’t comfortably interact with anyone unless they — the narcissists — have convinced themselves firmly they are superior. Narcissists will treat you like their worst enemy if you don’t supplicate to them. The only exception is in cases where the narcissists are met with their match in the areas they believe grant them relative superiority; then the narcissist turns into a timid suckup, chasing approval from their “superior” in cowardly hopes of never having to face off. Notice how willingly supplicating a narcissist can become when faced with an even greater narcissist, especially one whose “advantage” is in the same area. And there’s always an even greater narcissist, an even greater one-up.

Narcissists aren’t a minority. You see them everywhere, people who can’t cope living unless they are better than everyone in everything, or at least better than those in their entourage. I know of narcissists who will choose groups of people based on their perceived “superiority” in those groups. I know of overachievers who keep switching gyms every time a better “gym alpha” shows up. Pathetic, really, and it shows how those with lesser prowess are more unwavering in their self-esteem.

And if you’re better than a narcissist in an area they don’t value, they belittle that something and tell themselves their single one-up is the most important objectively, and that your specialties don’t matter.

Narcissists are weak because they lack the conviction to be OK with themselves when they’re not the king or queen. They must be on top, or they can’t bear their own existence. Sad.

Narcissists, narcissists everywhere

Narcissists are too insecure to admit to themselves they are insecure. They are so hopelessly lost in their despair from self-loathing that they have to pretend to take themselves too seriously as a spastic over-compensatory cope for no one taking them seriously at all, least of all themselves.

Admittedly, this deluded, bluff-arrogance actually convinces the impressionable, cheap masses, and the masses begin to take narcissists seriously. But the narcissist is so drunk on his self-delusion that he chooses to believe that cheap validation from morons is somehow meaningful. It’s meaningful, alright, but not in the way he thinks.

Some people’s approval is an insult, and their disapproval a compliment.

As an individual, you need the respect of yourself, and of good people. Yes, I won’t pretend you don’t need anyone else’s approval. You do. Anyone who claims otherwise is lying to you. You need people around you, good people who share the same values with you. We are social animals, even the most anti-social among us; especially so. We need external validation, but only from the right people who validate our true self, our true values, principles, virtues, and ideals.

But don’t be confused. Don’t assume the approval of desperately insecure people and of narcissists alike is a good thing. It isn’t.

When the devil loves you, it means one of two things, or both: The devil has targeted you for exploitation, or you are devilish yourself.

My unsolicited advice

Be careful whose approval you seek. You can waste an entire lifetime losing yourself just to gain the cheap, pointless approval of cheap people who value cheap things.

Look at the people that most people approve of: the celebrities, the influencers, the politicians, the clueless tech-guru frontmen. Popularity isn’t the flex you think it is. If you’re popular with the masses, you need to reevaluate yourself, unless you prefer to bask in blissful self-delusion and meaningless admiration from NPCs who’d applaud anything.

Look at who approves you and why. If they approve a fake persona you put on just to impress the impressionable, then, for your own good, you should scrutinise why you feel the desperate need to earn meaninglessness.

And look at why the approval of those few good people — those who approve you the way you truly are — isn’t enough for you. This will point you towards crippling trauma, and once you recognise it, then perhaps you stand a chance at somewhat mitigating it. If anything, do it for the people who approved you for you, not for some cosplay character you thought you needed to be just to impress the unimportant masses. The people who always accepted you for your true self — the one who is without pretending — deserve as much.

And the fake persona you put on? That’s your Narcissus, your masked, festering insecurity. Recognise your narcissism as proof of your insecurity, the fear of expressing your vulnerable true self.

Final thought

At the end of the day, what’s truly admirable is not efficacy or status. Both of these things are circumstantial. They rely on opportunity, age, luck, or even the absence of misfortune. And they can be taken away from you in a split second, the moment when you’ll realise you never had any control over your perceived “success” as you conveniently told yourself you did.

What’s truly admirable is bringing yourself to a point where you are unaffected by the efficacy or status of others. As they say, the biggest man in the room isn’t the king; it’s the man who doesn’t give a fuck who the king is.

And this is why you should judge people by what or who impresses them. Judge yourself by this standard, too.

Your abusers have an interest in appeasing and pacifying you because anger isn’t always self-destructive; it’s actually vital if you want to change your life for the better. That’s the difference between unhinged rage and controlled anger. And you need anger before you stand up to your abusers.

Anger can be a useful emotion when it helps you understand what you need to do to escape abusive relationships, to break free from rigid, debilitating mindsets, to set healthy boundaries, to stand up for yourself, and to stop tolerating indignities.

Yes, when anger becomes uncontrollable rage, it can make you lose your shit, with negative consequences for yourself and others. But anger turns into rage when you bottle your frustration, suppress it, internalise it, force it to build pressure, and twist and explode out of control.

Your abusers need to diffuse your anger

Whenever people tell you that “others have it worse”, they actually try to make you feel guilty for wanting better for yourself. They invalidate your pain, deny you recognition for your struggles, recognition that would otherwise motivate you to endure. They brush your pain off as if it’s nothing. They make light of it, and then you start wondering whether you should be feeling bad about your circumstances because “others have it worse”, right?

And then you conclude that you should be feeling grateful for not having it worse, which leaves you complacent in squalor, and tolerant of abuse.

Guilt-tripping is textbook manipulation, and it works more on principled people, on people with empathy, on people who are willing to punish themselves for not adhering to the high standards they chose to hold themself against.

I grew up with the generation when parents used to shame and guilt-trip us over “the children in Africa”: “You don’t eat all your food? Then, you should be ashamed of yourself because children in Africa have nothing to eat, and you should also somehow feel responsible for them, too.”

This shaming and guilt-tripping ended up making us submissive, obedient, and tolerant of force-feeding, which is a form of child abuse. And when you tolerate one form of abuse, you condition yourself to be tolerant of any and all abuse.

I remember losing sleep over the guilt I felt for the children in Africa, unable to fall asleep because thoughts of starving children — and the over-responsibility I felt for them — haunted me. I felt guilty for not wanting to eat more, not wanting to be force-fed.

Shaming and guilt-tripping weren’t limited to the African children; these innocent children whose name this mass-scale abuse was being conducted in. My shame- and guilt-based upbringing involved varied manifestations: “You keep demanding what other kids have at school, and you don’t think about poor children who have nothing.”

I was made to feel guilty, and even responsible, for children I’d never met. Sure, spoiling children is just another form of abuse. But if you force me to be around children at school I never chose to be around, and their parents give them respectable sports shoes, proper clothes that help them define their individuality and self-ownership, and options of extracurricular activities, then I’m not asking to be spoiled: I’m asking just to keep up with the other kids, so that I don’t conclude that I’m less deserving as a child.

Even the most basic of parents wouldn’t even dream of not giving these things to their children, especially when their children are forced to be compared to other children who got those things. Of course I’m going to demand something better. I shouldn’t have to be made to feel guilty for doing so. I didn’t live with children in Africa. You force me to live in a community with high expectations, yet you deny me the means to adhere to those standards. I’m not forced to compare myself against the poorer children. I am forced to hold myself against a higher benchmark, which you keep me from meeting, thus condemning me to develop a lack of self-esteem.

“Others have worse than you” translates to “shut the fuck up and take every indignity I dish out”.

Objection

Yes, sometimes it’s important to appreciate what you have and avoid the trap of a victimhood mindset, always self-debilitated and entitled to people’s sympathy from pity. But this is not what I’m talking about here.

If there is nothing to protest, nothing to complain about, then there is nothing to improve.

If you feel gratitude for your chains just because they’re dressed with velvet, then you stand no hope in ever breaking them.

If there is nothing to hold people accountable for, then they can do anything they want to anyone, and get away with it.

People do hurt people. And blaming the victim all the time for supposedly “complaining” isn’t helpful. Sure, you can show the victim where they were responsible for being abused, but not to blame them and foster self-loathing; rather, to empower them by showing them where they can improve their circumstances.

Guilt manipulation

When your abusers gaslight you into feeling guilty for protesting your abuses, they win.

Abusers preach pretentious “gratitude” for “not having it worse”, which diffuses your anger and your sense of urgency, and thus disempowers you because you feel guilty just for wanting to free yourself from abuse.

Yes, you should appreciate what you have, but the bare necessities, the meeting of needs that your nature burdened you with — needs not of your choosing — are nothing to be “grateful” about, nothing to dance around for like a merry fool for having. Nobody feels overjoyed every second for having air to breathe. It’s not an over-and-above achievement and nothing to be grateful about. It’s a bare necessity, a need not of your choosing. And you don’t owe “God” anything; quite the opposite.

The manipulator epidemic

I’ve noticed how the people who always jump to invalidate your troubles by comparing you to “people who have it worse” are either selling something — toxic motivators who want you disempowered and a perpetual buyer of their false-hope bullshit products — or it’s people who are actually responsible for your misfortune, or at least responsible for helping you get out of your misfortune. And thus, by telling you that others have it worse, they deflect your protest against their abuse, or nullify your requests for help.

Those who invalidate your pain rob you of your dignity of protesting an injustice. Treat them accordingly.

Condescending positivity gurus and motivational speakers deliberately keep you down by denying you your right to feel angry, and anger can be a helpful sentiment when you use it to change yourself for the better. But they don’t want you to improve, because that means they lose a customer, just like the modern medicine business model: treat the symptom, never the cause; focus on perpetual treatment, never a final cure, and keep the money rolling.

This backhanded demotivation disguised as motivation uses short-term, feel-good faux-positivity, as televangelists do, to diffuse your energy, the passion you need to finally make changes, to burn bridges, to escape toxic attachments, to unburden yourself of toxic shame that makes you manipulable.

Be aware of the things that pacify you, that keep you complacent in squalor, and thus inert. Religions do that, ideologies do that, cults do that, and idols do that.

Conclusion

Your abusers, or the people responsible for supporting you, will always downplay your pain to waive themselves of accountability.

“Others have it worse” is toxic positivity because it invalidates our pain. Gratitude? More like masked guilt and manipulable inertia from deluded complacency.

Expecting more accountability from children than from adults is why humanity is irredeemably messed up. The same occurs when we blame humans for their nature while we give a free pass to the supposedly ‘benevolent’ gods that made us… in their image, no less. Regardless of whether gods exist or not, our twisted mentality of misplaced accountability is a sickness that infects all civility and morality.

Context

Loathsome parents hold the child accountable for the parents’ moods, yet the parents don’t seem to similarly hold themselves responsible for the child’s moods. In fact, the burden of responsibility is the reverse: a parent has more control over a child’s emotional state than the opposite. Maturity should mean emotional control, and childhood means emotional dependence. And since the parents chose to bring a child into this world without the child’s informed consent, let alone a choice in parents (of all people), then logically we conclude that the parent is morally responsible to the child, and owes to the child.

The child owes nothing to the parent, especially when the child’s only reason for being is the gratification of a parent who would otherwise be lonely and depressed.

Children are just loneliness-mitigation machines: They give us the delusion of meaning and of undeserved love, which they are condemned to give us. The same applies to gods: Creations owe nothing to gods, and gods are morally responsible for their creations.

Gods and parents alike must be accountable to their children, if they need to be seen as ‘benevolent’ (not feared) in any meaningful way.

These are two incredible, cruel lies we burden children with: First, that the act of having children is somehow a praiseworthy achievement or virtue (it is not), and second, that children are a “burden” on their parents, and thus children must feel grateful, guilty even, for being graced with their parents’ “tolerance”.

The truth is actually the opposite, on both counts.

First, there is nothing praiseworthy about exchanging fluids and following the easiest programming to follow — your reproductive instinct — and then parade like a hero for being blessed with beautiful, innocent souls who are condemned to love you unconditionally. Every idiot can have children, and if you look around you, it seems that the worst people tend to have the most children.

And second, parents have no right to complain about the needs of children. If you bring a child into this world, a soul that never had informed consent to be plucked from the bliss of non-existence and be brought into your — of all people — psycho-circumstances, then you have no right at all to deny them all they need to thrive, let alone complain about giving them what they need. So please, shut the fuck up, complaining, self-centred, cruel parents.

In that spirit, since the above are a tad too much to handle for people who’ve never amassed the humility to consider such self-challenging perspective, here are a few textbook lies that parents, teachers, and adults in general say to children, systematically and unabashedly:

Lie #1: Interruptions

We scream at children never to interrupt us. We insist that interrupting others is rude and annoying. Yet, adults interrupt children all the time whenever children are talking with each other. Or even when an adult speaks to a child, it is perfectly ‘acceptable’ for another adult to interrupt that conversation as if it were meaningless.

Children are good at noticing and at deducing meaning. We don’t let children interrupt us, even when they need something, and our conversation is trivial compared to their needs, yet they see us interrupt them all the time, even when their conversations are important, and when our interruptions are for nonsense. What do you think this teaches children?

The meaning here is that children are worthless and that children can never interrupt or bother adults, but adults can always interrupt children. So when children grow up, they think it’s ok to be just as abusive to children as their parents were to them. Or even worse, when they feel they have circumstantial power over their peers, as any adult has over children, then they can be just as disrespectful, dismissive, and abusive. Isn’t this what we teach children when our actions speak, ‘might is right’?

No, might is not right. If anything, might is responsibility and debt.

Lie #2: Lies

We say to children, ‘Never lie!’ But kids witness their parents lying all the time. Children overhear parents lying on the phone or accusing others with whom they pretend to be good friends. Breaking promises is another textbook lie that adults inflict on children.

Adults think children are dumb or deaf, so parents presume they can discuss their dirty nonsense in the presence of children, or when children are in the next room, as if children were pets or mindless machines without any ability to listen and comprehend.

What is the result? Children see how parents lie to their children, how they lie to each other, how they lie to themselves. And children notice, because adults talk in the company of children as if the children are deaf or dumb or absent.

So, children get wind of the adults’ two-faced hypocrisies. And what does this teach children? That it’s somehow ok to lie, but you should pretend it’s not, emperor’s-new-clothes-style. And this is the world we live in.

Lie #3: Irritability

This is the worst one. When children get emotional over some random confrontation they had with their peers, we brush it away as if it were meaningless, insisting that only ‘sticks and stones’ can hurt them, and that words mean nothing. Yet, kids witness adults get all offended, insulted, and emotional over nonsense, like some stupid remark by a coworker, or a car horn, or a laughable tweet by a clown politician.

Really, adults? You claim ‘sticks and stones’, yet you lose your emotional stability much more easily than any child would.

Adults play all high and mighty in front of children, as if their stoic ‘superiority’ positions them above petty provocations, but reality shows the opposite: adults getting irritated by the smallest of things that most children wouldn’t.

‘Daddy, that kid at school made fun of me!’

‘Don’t pay any notice,’ says the father, completely invalidating the child and their own little world, where they need to be accepted by their peers.

And in the same moment, the child overhears the father complain about a sarcastic comment by someone at work, and how much it bothered him.

Children observe how easily adults lose it over some random rude comment or some undesirable headline in the news. Really? And then children, who can’t control their emotions as well as adults potentially can, are expected to show more restraint, maturity, and self-control than adults?

And let’s not pretend that words don’t mean anything. If words meant nothing, we wouldn’t all be trying so hard to come up with the best ‘gotcha’ line or witty putdown to one-up others and get applause by laughing hyenas, the impressionable, moronic masses.

We tell children that somehow words don’t matter, yet children see how words from people they are involuntarily attached to — their parents — cut like knives and cause irreparable, life-crippling trauma.

Stop lying to children. Words matter. And if you deny this fact, check yourself how worked up you get over a stupid headline you disagree with, and how you lose it in Twitter threads arguing with strangers and bots over nothing.

Lie #4: Violence

Yes, we teach children that violence is never the answer, even when children defend themselves against a violent aggressor. We have the audacity to expect children not to respond to the initiation of violence against them, then we wonder why they grow up passive, submissive, and subservient in their self-loathing.

Yet children see parents support supposedly ‘justified’ wars and violence-based centralised government, both initiators of extreme, mass-scale violence. Children understand that taxation and forced schooling are enforced via the implied fatal violence of the state. So how is it that violence is permitted then?

The lesson from forced schooling and abusive parenting is that anyone in an arbitrary position of perceived ‘authority’ can have their will imposed through violence, and not only is that ok, it’s also supposedly ‘moral’. This is the cycle of abuse. This is what the disgustingness of Abrahamism teaches, infecting our sense of morality.

Religions and political ideologies alike teach us that somehow ‘might makes right’, as in the case of the demon-god Yahweh and his loathsome, cowardly, sleazy servant, Abraham. And don’t even get me started on the evil of ‘turn the other cheek’, this subversive directive aimed at enabling and encouraging evil.

‘Violence is never the answer’ seems to be directed at the victim, not the abuser. Yes, blame the victim. Make it so that a proportionate response to an initiation of violence is never ok. Would you say that discourages the initiation of violence, or do you think it might perhaps encourage it?

Lie #5: Embarrassment

We tell children not to care what people say, yet they observe us, the supposed ‘adults’, jump through hoops to keep appearances and desperately impress the worst people around us: the shallow, impressionable idiot masses. We lie to children that they shouldn’t feel embarrassed when they are mocked, ridiculed, humiliated, and shamed by their peers, this way dismissing and invalidating their quite legitimate pain. Yet, we don’t hold ourselves to the same standard.

Then, children observe the adults get embarrassed and humiliated for not keeping up appearances, or for ‘making fools out of themselves’ in the eyes of their peers, for lesser embarrassments, no less.

Shaming is manipulative psychological abuse, and it works on even the most thick-skinned adults, let alone children.

Why do you dismiss and invalidate children’s legitimate shame, and deny them the recognition, nurture, and emotional support they need to overcome it? Why do you think it’s ok for you to receive emotional support when you are shamed, but not when children are shamed?

We don’t take seriously the shame and humiliation children feel at a tender age when it truly leaves a mark, and we expect them to show more emotional reserve and maturity than any adult. Really, adults? You feel embarrassed over nothing, and you somehow think you’re emotionally stronger than small children?

Lie #6: Actions

We tell children that words mean nothing and that we should judge people by their actions instead of their empty words. Yet children observe adults worship politicians for snake-tongue words that contradict their actions or inaction.

Children notice details far better than adults do. They notice how adults tend to value flatterers and sweet-sounding slogans, yet adults keep disregarding meaningful actions that are in conflict with the words.

We insist that words don’t matter, and that only actions matter, yet adults vote, again and again, for the same demonstrably lying politicians, even when their actions and inaction prove — time and time again — that they have been lying all along. Yet, adults keep fooling themselves when they hear the right words from people whose actions contradict them.

Conclusion

We lie to ourselves, then we lie to children, condemning them to become just as lying and messed up as we are. We transfer our cognitive dissonance onto children, perpetuating the cycle of abuse, and we all suffer for it. No wonder humanity is unable to discern reality.

I thought I’d find someone like you.

I found many like you.

I see these apologetics “defending God” when God’s alleged “benevolence” is questioned in the face of all the suffering in the world. Imagine a god in need of defending by mere humans, or imagine the hubris of those presuming to speak for and defend a god. The result? Defending evil and cruelty (divine evil and cruelty, no less), which makes us lose our sense of good.

You see, it’s one thing to defend an evil, cruel, neglectful deity simply because we fear its power and we wish to score points for an ever-elusive afterlife. And it’s another to assume that somehow “might is right”, and that all the immoralities of God are excused. No one is above moral standards, not even God — especially not God.

Who am I to judge God? Just someone that mainstream religions claim is made in the image of God, someone whose approval and worship said “God” desperately needs.

Who am I to judge a God? This question is an appeal to power, just like “who are you to judge billionaires like Epstein, Gates, Musk, and Trump?” “Who are you with your measly paycheck to judge those with power and whose decisions move the world?”

See how it goes?

You are terrified of God’s power, so you make excuses for God’s cruelty. You are terrified of a power that is subjectively “great” only when looking from this child reality toward the parent reality.

Is God objectively great even in his parent reality? Highly doubt that. You see, you can create your own open-world video game with next-gen AI NPCs cursed with self-awareness, and they will see you as a god. For them, you are absolutely powerful because you have absolute power over their reality. For your coworkers, however, you’re mid at best because in your reality, you have no power at all.

Who am I to judge God? I’m not judging God — morality is. The standard of good is superior to any god. And when we keep defending evil because we fear it, we lose sight of what is good; we distort our sense of virtue, and evil triumphs. This is the great evil of defending a demonstrably evil God.

And the greatest evil of gods is not that they abandon us to suffer in an existence not of our choosing; it’s that they let us suffer without meaning. We can bear any suffering if there is satisfactory meaning for it. This is why we so desperately ask ‘why’. And God is deaf.

No. Our concept of good is much superior to any god. No god, no matter how powerful, can change how I see the creator of this reality: as a cruel, selfish, sadistic despot. A god can torture me all he wants (therefore proving my point), and through all that torture, I might convince myself that “God is good” just to escape the anguish. But if that’s the only way to change my mind, then again, case proven.

Let’s take this from the beginning.

We all suffer. It’s just hard to empathise with everyone’s suffering all the time, because otherwise we’d go insane (even more so than we already are). So we keep our suffering localised to our immediate environment. It’s not a lack of empathy or indifference, especially when we’re not responsible for others’ suffering as God is for everything God created.

So when we suffer, we ask God, fists raised to the sky, why he would allow such things. It’s not hubris. It’s not entitlement. It’s asking the being with absolute power to display proportionate responsibility.

And then I hear this supposed counter-argument a lot:

In the apologist’s imagination, God supposedly says, “Where were you when I made the earth, the sky, the light, bla bla bla.” The translation of this appeal to greatness goes like this: “Look at me, I’m so great and ancient, and your suffering is so insignificant to this grand reality I made. You’re nothing compared to me, so I owe you zero explanation. Now shut up, keep suffering, and worship me.” I say fuck such a god.

No, it’s not hubris for a child to look to the parent asking for help. If anything, it’s the ultimate recognition. No, it’s not pride to seek meaning for your suffering, if you are to bear it. If anything, it’s granting God the benefit of the doubt that, despite all this apparently meaningless suffering, there might be some meaning to make it all worthwhile.

God doesn’t owe you anything? Yes, he does. Again, with great power comes great responsibility — this is the moral standard we humans hold ourselves to because we respect ourselves. If we don’t hold God to this standard, it means we don’t respect God — we’re just petrified of him, and we make excuses for him in fear of being punished. This is true blasphemy: imagining God as a psychotic maniac unbound by morality simply because he holds himself above it.

Human parents display more empathy and more accountability for their children. A moral god with infinite power should have infinite responsibility and accountability. Yes, with great power comes great responsibility. And with absolute power comes absolute responsibility for everything.

Imagine that the only defence for a neglectful (at best) god is that he is so great just because he created this reality. So what? I bet in God’s reality — our parent reality — making a child reality isn’t that great. And without this reality to “make him great” only by comparison, God is unimpressive, objectively speaking.

In our parent reality, “god” is just an uninteresting, powerless entity wondering who created his reality, and whether his existence has any meaning too. Seeing as though he finds no meaning at all, he creates humans to toy with, a pleasant distraction from his meaninglessness; much like humans make children to distract them from the meaninglessness of life, and to make themselves feel powerful by comparison, and to create false meaning that is not for them to assign to themselves.

It seems like we are indeed made in God’s image: we act the same, whether we make children or open-world video games to glorify ourselves in our delusions of grandeur, intoxicating distractions from the anguish of meaninglessness.

And if you think I deserve unending, unimaginable, sadistic torture for expecting a higher moral standard from gods and humans, then you’ve lost your sight of good because you keep defending evil.

I’ve always said that every single argument against statelessness applies to the state even more. And by statelessness, I don’t mean the absence of governance; I mean the decentralised self-governance as opposed to the state’s centralised, threat-based government.

So, the “objection” goes like this:

“In a stateless, decentralised-governance model, what if someone buys all the property around yours and then charges you insane amounts of resources every time you want to leave your house to go to work, to shop, to meet people, or to visit another property of yours? What happens then, huh?”

State apologists love this argument, missing the irony that this argument is self-defeating, as it applies to statism even more.

You see, in the state’s centralised government paradigm, which humanity has, unfortunately, had since the inception of the alpha-male tribal leader, you get this enclosure phenomenon all the time.

Have you ever heard of an embargo, the precursor to war, which is the state’s inalienable trait and lifeblood? This is the exact same scenario; someone or some interest group enclosing a whole country, no less.

Have you ever heard of curfews and lockdowns? This is the purest form of this example: the state owning the property around your house (the streets) and, on a whim, disallowing any travel. Hell, even without curfews and lockdowns, the state doesn’t let you use its property (the roads) to do anything, unless you pay the vast majority of your labour in taxes, which you do. Yes, income tax is but a fraction of what you pay in taxes. Most taxes are hidden and indirect, making up the majority of the price tag of everything you buy.

Have you ever heard of landlocked countries? Have you ever heard of enclave countries, completely surrounded by other countries, like Lesotho, San Marino, and Vatican City?

So what happens then, especially when those doing the enclosing are unaccountable, unopposed monopolies of violence with every incentive to use violence to solidify their power — states?

You see, this ridiculous objection to statelessness is an even greater objection against the state: What happens if a state surrounds your property, or your city, or your country and disallows all movement? Have you been paying any attention to history or to the recent troubles in the Strait of Hormuz? Embargoes and wars are the state’s doing, and those in power have every incentive and little disincentive to wage war when others are paying and bleeding.

In free-market competition, there are no incentives, and there is no centralised power to impose such restrictions on a whim. If anything, the centralisation of power of the state and the unaccountability of state leaders mean that such instances are more likely to occur under the state than in statelessness.

But let’s take the example of landlocked states. What’s to deter the surrounding countries from imposing total lockdowns on the countries they surround? They can close their borders to these countries, close their airspace, and close off all communications with them. It’s within their “rights”, right? And often, this happens in the form of an embargo, which leads to war. As Bastiat said, when goods don’t cross borders, soldiers will. And this is demonstrably true: the antidote to war is trade. If you hinder trade, you incentivise war.

And this is the takeaway here: Even if in a stateless paradigm someone buys all the property around your house or neighbourhood and encloses everyone in there on a whim, then they incentivise war, not only with the enclosed people, but also with the people on the outside who wish to trade with the enclosed people. Even if the outsiders have nothing to trade with the enclosed, the outsiders will still resent this enclosure practice in fear that it might one day happen to them. And they will seek to be insured against this, which is how lawmaking is done without the state (with the state, too, if you think about it, since the state is just one big risk management service — miserable because it’s an artificial monopoly).

If you find your house enclosed, then you’ll become belligerent, regardless of arbitrary “laws”. You’ll defy your captor’s property. You’ll dig tunnels in the disputed area beneath. You’ll build bridges, or helicopters, or slingshots to escape. Or you’ll simply become totally independent in your prison.

I don’t see how the state safeguards you from such an eventuality when the state is the most likely candidate to do this to you.

And this is the problem with state apologists: they think that the monster will protect them because the monster is powerful. But they don’t connect the dots to see that they can’t control the monster, despite deluding themselves that they do through the scam of voting.

The fact remains that your house is already surrounded by the property of someone else: the state. The roads belong to the state. And you have very little control over the state other than public sentiment, which the state controls more through propaganda than you do. If you think voting is a way to control the state, then you must agree that “voting” through where you choose to spend your money is a more powerful control mechanism than choosing between identical, prechosen candidates who are unaccountable when it comes to their generic and legally unbinding promises.

If you believe voting works (meaning that those in power care about our opinions), then you must concede that lawmaking through the free markets is more organic, fair, and efficient than lawmaking through a disincentivised, corruptible monopoly (the state).

If the monopoly of the state cares about what we think, then private individuals and businesses competing with each other care even more.

The fact remains that houses, neighbourhoods, and whole countries are already surrounded by someone else’s property. And if the state — this unopposed, unaccountable monopoly of violence — still has some incentive to allow somewhat “free” travel, then imagine private individuals who are accountable to everyone in their community, which is the greatest strength of free-market competition.

The greatest deterrent preventing an abuser is not the reaction of the victim but the reaction of everyone else. This is why we take care of rapists, thieves, and murderers, even if they never raped, robbed, or murdered us specifically. This need of ours to feel safe in our community, we misguidedly outsource to the state to satisfy. But without a state, it’s up to competing suppliers of lawmaking and justice dispensing.

Until you can show me how I can protect myself from the state preventing me from leaving my house, or asking insane concessions on my part for letting me do so (which it does daily), then this argument is void; especially so when the null hypothesis is statelessness, and thus, the burden of proof lies with the state.

There’s a difference between the pure scientific method and using scientific tools to deceive, and then calling it “science”. Dogmatic pseudoscience using legitimate scientific tools is founded on an appeal to perceived authority, thus masking the non-sequitur, false cause, circular reasoning, correlation, and false attribution fallacies that support this house of cards of academic scientism.

Overhyped science

Econometrics, marketing reports, managerial projections, trading indicators: They are all bullshit because they always come with plausible deniability, much like accounting reports or legalese nonsense. The “scientific” fine print says “we claim this is all true assuming x, y, z, which we can’t know”. This cowardly unaccountability, venturing to explain reality while admitting they can’t. And filling the gaps with assumptions, and making grand conclusions based on said assumptions, cannot be scientific by default.

If it cannot accurately describe a measurable, objective cause and effect, and then predict demonstrable, replicable results, then it is not science. It’s not even an approximate indication or an educated guess. Instead, it’s well-packaged bullshit to manage someone’s fear of uncertainty — the MO of faith healers and tele-preachers.

Scientific models and theories that presume to explain reality for us are bullshit and meaningless when they assume ceteris paribus. And nothing functions in isolation.

Ironically, the appeal to ceteris paribus is always their plausible deniability: “We don’t know all the variables, so we claim our model of reality is true, assuming all unknowable variables remain the same, and therefore, when our model collapses, which it will, we can always fall back to our ceteris paribus disclaimer”.

Yes, but this makes your model meaningless, and in many cases, dangerous if you are to act on it.

Nonsense academic papers are riddled with ceteris paribus deflections of self-accountability, not to mention flawed methodologies and laughable sampling methods. A small company’s marketing team is way more diligent, responsible, and scientific in handling data than your average PhD “researcher”.

The most dangerous of allegedly “scientific” papers are the medical ones, because not only are they used to enforce policies via state violence, they also form the basis for unsafe and ineffective medical interventions.

But fancy, meaningless maths and sexy graphs razzle-dazzle the gullible: the art of bamboozling those begging to be bamboozled. We choose to be lied to. No one can manipulate you without your permission.

And then there are arbitrary conclusions derived from biases, circular reasoning, false attribution, or total non-sequitur fantasy. You can use all the Power BI, Tableau, or other analytical tools to make fancy reports, but if you fall for the survivorship bias when trying to interpret those analyses, and trying to understand who and why didn’t convert through your marketing funnel, then not only are your scientific tools useless, they are also misleading you. And so, with all the “science” backing us up, we still shoot in the dark when making decisions; we attribute our accidental successes to our “science”, and our random failures to everything else except our poor, negligent use of scientific tools.

You can have all the scientific tools in the world. It doesn’t mean you’ll use them properly. And it definitely doesn’t mean that what you say is correct. If you misuse scientific tools, you are no different from a caveman with a smartphone. It’s not the smartphone’s capabilities that give credit to your assertions, but rather, your ability to use it, and more importantly, to abundantly demonstrate that you can produce predictable, replicable, provable conclusions.

This is the exact opposite of what the COVID hysterics did. The COVID scam was based on failed model after failed model, deliberately inflated statistics, demonstrably false predictions, and measures that were proven to be unsafe and ineffective.

This isn’t science; this is deception and stupidity juggling scientific tools without even understanding the scientific method, let alone possessing the skills to accurately use scientific tools — or more importantly, to derive logical, dispassionate, and provable conclusions from them.

If you can’t do, you theorise

Engineering is superior to science because engineering is science applied. Every day use of engineering is mounting proof of concept. If it cannot be engineered and is instead made into generic disclaimer-riddled reports and vague estimations that come with plausible deniability in case they are proven wrong, then this is not science; it is mockery.

If it can’t be engineered, then it is nonsense until proven otherwise through engineering. Theoretical science is bullshit until it can be applied through engineering. Engineering is proof of science. Have some dignified humility to acknowledge this.

But with religion and scientism alike, we take every unprovable claim as fact without the need to verify. And when we do that, we should know you’ve abandoned science and logic.

Emotion overrides logic

But people need their bullshit to manage their anxiety from uncertainty. We pay good money to purchase bullshit (that we deep down know is bullshit) just to momentarily mitigate our stress and fears. Buying bullshit is akin to burying our heads in the sand, and humans are descendants of ostriches. We attend church and political rallies, hanging on every word from lying televangelists and politicians alike, simply because we need some false hope to prevent us from killing ourselves. We pay self-appointed “consultants” to hand us a non-committing report to put our anxiety from the fear of the unknown to rest. We allow self-baptised “scientists” to bamboozle us with nonsense scientism so we can delude ourselves that we have some control over our environment, which we don’t — we’re all constantly at the mercy of this reality. And when their claims prove wrong, we go at it again, like gamblers who cannot stop gambling, no matter how much they lose. People keep voting when, every single time, they are betrayed by the politicians they sold their votes to. This demonstrates humanity’s desperate addiction to false hope and false idols, which renders us manipulable and willingly deluded.

“Credible” bullshit is the drug that keeps on giving. We need bullshit to put our fears to rest for a while. And when the low comes, we just take another dose. And there is no more credible bullshit than scientific bullshit.

How to tell the difference between science and scientism?

Science follows the scientific process; it welcomes constant scrutiny because this is the only way we can approximate truth, if that is even possible. Scientism, on the other hand, refuses to examine its unprovable, unfalsifiable claims, and it denies all scrutiny. It responds to scrutiny with threats, shaming, emotional blackmail, intimidation, and appeals to emotion. Scientism isn’t science. Scientism is dogma founded on fear.

Conclusion

Bullshit is a valuable commodity. We need it. It’s the drug that numbs our frustration from living in a hostile environment, in a chaotic mind and frail body, not of our choosing, mind you. We numb our fears of uncertainty with substances, distractions, addictions, gambling, religion, ideology, and “expert” analyses that suggest what we want to hear.

Scientism — this in-demand scam of using scientific tools to make unscientific conclusions — is no different from priests pretending to speak for God simply because they wear nice robes and pretend to have “expert authority”. They don’t. The only “expertise” they have is the ability to fool you with their self-bestowed “authority”.

And these self-anointed “scientists” are the new priestly class. They don’t feel the need to prove anything or demonstrate their assertions. What they claim is “proof” is, in fact, upon scrutiny, a non sequitur. Take a random academic paper, examine the methodology, the sampling, and the conclusions, and see for yourself.

They expect total gullibility solely on the merit of their fancy robes and their alleged “expert authority” — as if no one else understands mathematics, statistics, and, more importantly, logic. This last part is important: The fact that a self-announced “expert” assumes no one else has the capacity to grasp science goes to show that any low-IQ simpleton can get a PhD, and parade around like he’s the king, but is actually a fool, bereft of self-awareness and dignity.

Most self-anointed “scientists” won’t comprehend the points I’m making in this article. This is not to say I’m smarter. This is to say they are willfully clueless, driven by emotion more than logic, and comfortable in their artificial monopoly of accreditation, which, like all monopolies, is inevitably corrupt and ineffective.

In romantic affection, there is a thin line between love and obsession. Both can be possessive, of sorts. Romantic love, if it’s to be meaningful, must be exclusive between two people. This isn’t puritanism — it’s how we instinctively want to behave if we are to grant meaning to our relationships. And these “progressive” open relationships are bereft of meaningful love and self-respect. Cuckolds are friends with benefits, taking turns, plus the responsibilities, and without the voluntary attachment of exclusivity. This makes it the stupidest deal there is.

Obsession, on the other hand, is also possessive but without exclusivity. You can obsess over someone — romantically, sexually, or both — and still obsess over others the same way. You need the object of your obsession to be yours, but you don’t want to be theirs in return, not really. You desire to have everything you obsess over, at the same time, even if it’s logically impossible to have them all.

Yet there are bigger, more meaningful differences between love and obsession.

Love

Loving someone, even when they’re not yours, inspires you to be better. Your affection, even if not returned, holds you to a higher standard. You feel sad if your love is not returned. Regardless, the person you love makes you want to be better, even if they can’t return your love. And by ‘better’, I don’t mean shallow nonsense like a gay, roided-up beach body, or sucking up to audiences to become an influencer or politician or networked freemason who’s sold his soul and dignity in exchange for meaningless preferential treatment. I mean that, the person you love, motivates you to be principled and good even when (especially when) nobody’s watching. It’s as if the one you love is watching, and that’s more than enough to drive better, stronger behaviour in you. It’s as if you want to be as gracious and virtuous as possible to deserve the person you love, to match them. Whether your appreciation of them is realistic or not is irrelevant. If you truly love them with purity, then the standard you hold them to becomes your own, too. Even when your love is not reciprocated, you are less likely to indulge in addictions, to surrender to your weaknesses, and to be undignifiedly mean to others.

When you love, you disqualify yourself if you’re not good enough for them; whether this assessment is realistic or biased is irrelevant. The fact remains that, with love, your self-interest is the other person’s well-being.

True romantic love comes with respect. For example, when you love someone, you feel ashamed to stalk them, even when you know you won’t be caught. Nobody knows, but you know; you know you disrespect them when you stalk them.

Love comes from a place of appreciating the person for who they are, while considering their self-interest above all else.

Obsession

Obsession objectifies the other person. You don’t want them; you need them. This means that, if you have them, you don’t appreciate them, and when you don’t have them, it’s agony. This is the fundamental difference between need and want. When you’re obsessed with someone, and you don’t have them, you become worse. You aren’t inspired to be better at all. When you obsess over someone, you don’t feel some urge to be better. You become resentful of your circumstances and feel entitled to them the way you are now — without having to be better. Even though you know you’re not good enough to deserve them, you still feel entitled to them as if you were good enough to deserve someone so great as to be worth obsessing over. This is unfair. With obsession, your self-interest is your gratification, disregarding what might be better for the person you’re obsessing over.

Obsession is disrespectful, not only in that it objectifies the other person, but also in your behaviour. When you obsess, you have no inhibition to stalk the other person, to lie to the other person, to ignore their interests and desires.

Obsession comes from a place of objectifying the person, valuing only them for their utility as objects, without considering what they might want. It disregards the other person’s needs and wants because it doesn’t recognise them as living beings with hopes, dreams, and feelings.

Conclusion

I’ve been noticing for years all the pickup artists and self-announced “alpha males” flaunting their little black books listing hundreds of sexual conquests, as if sluttiness were something not to feel embarrassed about. And when I was younger, I used to feel jealous of them, even admire them. And, for a while, I became just like them.

But I quickly realised that these people are condemned to only be able to conquer one cheap type of woman: the generic one, the mass-production woman who doesn’t put up much resistance because she has zero self-respect; the type of woman who will be conquered by others as easily (likely easier) than she let herself be conquered by them.

You brag about having bedded hundreds of women? Imagine what you are to each of them: also one of hundreds, another faceless meat-object, a circumstantially useful apparatus that, for a moment, gratified their animalistic urges, not of their choosing, no less. There is nothing to brag about in chain-eating McDonald’s. It’s embarrassing, really.

Lustful obsession is not the same as love.

Centralised government, or the state, is a system founded on violence alone. Anything and everything the state does is driven by force or the threat of force. Whatever policy or “public good” the state presumes to impose on its populations, the imposition is backed by aggressive violence alone. Even fiat currency is “backed” by violence; violence that is paid for by fiat currency backed by the violence that backs it… in a chicken-and-egg psychopathy of a self-sustained system of nothingness, a bluff of authority.

Taxes are taken by force. Arbitrary laws are obeyed due to the fear of state violence, not the fear of missing privilege and opportunity in a community, or the fear of reciprocal violence by victims. We know this because almost all of state-defined “crimes” are victimless. You obey nonsense laws that keep useless people in pointless jobs.

The state does not function on incentives; only threats.

A threat takes what is already yours. An incentive offers you what you don’t have. The punishment of threat-based systems is the deprivation of what you already have. The “punishment” in incentive-based systems is the deprivation of an over-and-above privilege, an opportunity to gain something more than what you already have.

Even the most ardent statist will not voluntarily pay taxes unless forced to by the state he presumes to support. No statist in history has ever voluntarily paid more in taxes, even when he pretends to support more taxes. Sure, we see corrupt voters and lobbyists alike provide bribes in the euphemistic form of “donations”, but that is not the same as “voluntary taxation”. Taxes are supposedly towards a common good, while bribes are in exchange for a special benefit, always at the expense of others. And the state incentivises corruption because it is an unopposed, artificial monopoly of risk management services.

Centralised government — the state — is based on threat… not morality, not fairness, not logic, and definitely not voluntary incentive.

Instead, decentralised governance is based on incentives because there is no central monopoly of violence to impose anything; people are left alone to realise that it is in their best interest to come together to organise society, not via enforcement, but through incentives. When people are “left to their own devices”, they are driven by self-interest, which ends up maximising the collective self-interest. Self-interest is good because it takes into account the goodwill of others. It is only self-destructive people, those who aren’t driven by self-interest, who are chaotic and dangerous to others and, as a result, to themselves.

It is always in your best interest to play fair with those in the community you share. If you need something from people, be it a good, service, or desired behaviour, you give them the incentive to do it; it’s the only fair scenario where you should get what you want. And incentives are not blackmail or threats; they are over-and-above benefits. If the incentives you provide are not powerful enough, then you are humble enough to accept that you can’t earn what you want, at least for now. And in cases where you wish to deter violence against you, then you reserve the right to warn against the initiation of aggression, since you can reciprocate with defensive violence.

The only civilised way to make order is via incentives (when you need something for others) and via the deterrence provided by your ability to respond to an initiation of aggression against you.

There is no need for the state to initiate violence to impose things that incentives cannot drive. If incentives are not powerful enough, then that thing should not be forced. Even small children understand this. This alone is enough to disprove the deluded need in centralised government — the state.

Yes, there exist many people who cannot comprehend their own best interest. These are the anti-socials, the mentally diseased, the hopelessly traumatised, those who always turn to violence (either their own or outsourced to the state) to get what they want without considering others who must suffer their violence.

These anti-socials will always seek to dominate others over negotiating with others… This is why we have centralised government: because a critical mass of people, as they stand, are violent and seek to violently dominate others instead of providing incentives to get what they want. If you look at political rallies and the vitriol that characterises them, you witness the average voter’s desire, not to incentivise their desired behaviour, but to force it on others out of a deluded entitlement and presumption of “righteousness”.

But this is the thing: righteousness is not indicated by a perceived majority, nor some ancient text written by foreskin-obsessed illiterates who heard voices in their heads. A behaviour is deemed righteous when you can incentivise (not threaten) people to adopt it willingly, especially when those people have the free choice of alternative behaviours, and still select yours uncoerced. This is why morality cannot come from gods and demons, nor the state (which is the statist’s god). If anything, any “moral” framework that comes from a god or a state — meaning, it is enforced — is by definition meaningless.

How does decentralised government deal with people who prefer threats over violence? Very good question. Currently, we cannot have decentralised governance because the vast majority of people are traumatised enough to want rulers — the “good” parent they never had. We get rulers because we always turn to rulers. Elections are the state constantly asking permission to exist, and when we vote, regardless of what we vote for, we grant it that permission. And the fact that it needs it so frequently should tell you how weak its house of cards of perceived “authority” is.

But, in a world where people are less traumatised, and enough of us understand the superiority of decentralised governance, then those few who don’t would be pacified through the ‘fuck around and find out’ effect, or the warning of reciprocal, defensive violence. Aggressive violence — the unprovoked initiation of aggression that takes what is already yours — is immoral and counterproductive. But standing up for yourself against it — using defensive violence — is moral and productive. Not only that, but your intent and ability to use violence in response to the initiation of violence is the greatest deterrent to violence.

Statelessness is not disorder or chaos. Decentralised governance is superior to centralised government for the same reason that a variety of competing suppliers of a good or service always pressure those suppliers to provide better quality at a better price, and with less impact on the environment. Monopolies and oligopolies corner their markets, and this offers less for more. The more the pressure of competition, the more customers benefit — and even the suppliers, because they are pressured to be better. Customers vote with their money, not with a silly piece of paper, electing among identical, prechosen candidates with generic promises that aren’t legally binding, and thus, campaign promises are never kept. Yes, voting is the most obvious scam, yet people keep falling for it time and time and time again.

We demand market competition to protect consumers from monopolies, yet we empower a monopoly of the most important services: the state with the risk management services it provides. Why? Because we can’t conceive of markets with free competition providing such services in a decentralised manner? Irrelevant. Once, people couldn’t conceive how cotton could be picked without slaves, or how rain could be caused without child sacrifice and rain dances.

Everything the state provides is a service. Everything. From policing, lawmaking, and dispensing of justice, to public property management and private property registries. These are risk mitigation and management services.

Even now, with so little freedom left in markets to operate organically, we still see how insurance companies create rules and “punish” you when you fail to abide by them — when you pose a risk to those around you. And the punishment is a deprivation of a privilege, not of an entitlement you already have. Don’t want to play nice? Then we won’t insure you. And in a world without the state’s violence, people take their security into their own hands. The mall won’t let you enter unless you have some kind of insurance. This neighbourhood’s common-property roads won’t let you in either. But with a state, we assume risk is already taken care of, so we don’t take any initiatives — paralysis by government.

And instead of people taking their security into their own hands, the state forces you to live next door to ISIS monsters it imports from abroad, hands them free welfare for “reasons”, and grants them special business privileges so they can thrive at your expense. This is what the state is incentivised to do: keep the sheep fighting with each other, diffusing their energy through fear of each other, and never directing that energy towards those in positions of power. This is what monopolies do. And the state is the greatest, most corrupt monopoly of them all.

Yes, insurance is how we make “laws” without the state. We already get a glimpse of that in action, right now. The reason we don’t take more such initiatives is that we assume the government is already taking care of lawmaking, but it’s doing it in the worst possible way, ineffectively, inefficiently, and in a corrupt manner. And this is what the state is: one huge risk management service with an artificial monopoly, no less, which makes it corrupt, expensive, and useless.

Everything the state “offers” is risk management. Everything. Wouldn’t it make sense to break down the supplier of those risk management services to numerous competing suppliers so that they feel “threatened” by their competition, and are thus forced to be better to their consumers? A monopoly has little incentive to play nice with its consumers. On the contrary, a monopoly has every incentive to keep gaslighting consumers into believing there can be no competition in the services it provides.

Every day that passes under centralised government is an atrocity and an embarrassment for humanity.

I get accused a lot of supposedly “making excuses for colonisation” when I simply point out examples in history where the colonisers weren’t as bad as the local government that took over after the colonisers left.

I’m not making excuses for colonisation or any type of tyranny. It’s a straw man to suggest this.

Why then point out such observations? Because by the end of this short article, the insight you’ll gain will be priceless.

I grew up in a former British colony that was much better off under British rule than under the “independent” rule that followed. Many natives today have the decency to at least acknowledge this — others don’t.

I understand: The lazy, predictable, and straw-man accusation after this statement is that I somehow make excuses for tyranny, for colonisation, for oppression of native populations, etc.

Not at all.

My point here is several levels beyond that.

First, I wish to point out that tyranny has no ethnicity, and that your own people — those with ethnic proximity to you — can be just as oppressive toward you, if not even more. History shows time and time again that foreign occupation can sometimes be more lenient than local occupation (national government). There are countless examples of locals greeting invaders as liberators, sometimes out of fear, but other times out of genuine affiliation.

The valuable insight from this acknowledgement is this: Whenever you are called to “defend your country” from invading forces, you are tempted to ask what you are really defending. You’re not defending your country — your country could be safer and more prosperous under a foreign tyrant with potentially less barbarism than your local leaders.

When you’re supposedly “defending your country”, you’re actually defending your government. You are literally the slave who goes out to fight other slaves just because you prefer your sitting slave master to one who speaks a different language. You assume that common ethnicity is somehow a guarantee that they will be a lesser evil. But it’s not a guarantee.

Who says that the foreign government willing to take over your plantation isn’t going to be a better one, or a less evil one? Isn’t the lesser evil the whole point of the scam of democracy?

In the case of the current war between Russia and Ukraine, Ukrainians would’ve been much better off if they had totally submitted to the Russian neo-imperialist paradigm, rather than the EU neo-imperialist paradigm. From a governance perspective, the Russian state can’t be as corrupt as the Ukrainian one — Ukraine’s corruption is on another level. A simple change in administration would have made zero difference to normal Ukrainian citizens.

Refusing to go to war and simply allowing one dictator to displace another would have spared their population from the war and countless young deaths. Nonsense nationalist propaganda of “defending your country” ends up being the thing that actually kills your country. If not the young of your ethnic group, “your country” is nothing else. Your country is definitely not your government, which isn’t even made up of your compatriots (Zelensky isn’t even Ukrainian). Oh, useful fools, you died for less than nothing.

So, when you are called to “defend your country“, you’re actually defending your government at the expense of your youth who will be slaughtered in drone-trench warfare just to protect the cozy positions of corrupt state bureaucrats.

Sure, you might point out that an invading government that endeavours to take over your existing government could arguably be worse and more oppressive.

First, this is subjective and up for debate in the cloud of war propaganda. And how oppressive an invader might be depends on how much of a fight the slaves put up against the invading slave master. If you don’t put up a fight against a simple switching of the slave master, then the new slave master will likely be kinder to you, or at least less oppressive. If you fight back and you are defeated, you are in for a very bad time, simply because you defended your local tyrant, of all things to defend. And your family will pay for your agitation, not just you.

If you fight back and repel the invader, you’re still stuck with the losses of the war, plus your own tyrannical government, which will inevitably become even more oppressive toward you as a consequence of war-necessitated austerity.

Even if the invading government would be more oppressive, regardless of whether you put up a fight or not, that’s a weak motivation for me to just abandon my family alone and defenseless back home, so that I can travel far away to make myself a target in trenches, follow orders by some retard with Napoleon syndrome who sees me as canon fodder, and the get blown up in hole by a nerd with a drone. And all this to expose my defenceless family to be raped and brutalised by either the invading advancing forces or the local military police, and the privileged compatriots who were spared the front line. In war, your own people will loot your property and brutalise your family, as history shows time and time again.

In any of these cases, it is not a wise thing to wear the submissive uniform of the slave and blindly follow orders from your government to defend your government. At best, you’d be defending a slightly less oppressive slave master. And risking brutal death and the rape of your family is too high a price for perhaps securing a lesser tyrant. This is why war propaganda always portrays the enemy as Satan incarnate. James Corbett of has put together an insightful documentary on enemy-demonising war propaganda: ‘The WWI Conspiracy’.

And given that, in any armed conflict, losses from friendly fire are just as numerous as losses from enemy fire, then truly your own people are just as hazardous to you as an invading enemy — but only if you obey, enlist, and go fight like a mindless, useful pawn.

So, you’re better off deserting. Fighting, killing, and dying as murderous roadkill for your government isn’t worth it.

If they could speak now, all those who’ve died for their government would know now that it wasn’t worth it — they fought, killed, and died for nothing. All the ideals, all the promises, all the things they were told they were fighting for… it was all for nothing, as time proves. Less than nothing, actually, because their obedience enabled war and empowered psychopaths in positions of power. They were complicit in atrocity, and they died without a soul.

Conclusion?

It is never a wise decision to submit to your government’s standing army to go kill other slaves just like you, for the well-being of your oppressors, no less.

It is not worth fighting, killing, and dying for any alleged “justification” or appeals to duty and honour, and all the bullshit propaganda that only works on insecure males who desperately need to prove themselves in masculinity — something that evades them.

If you truly need to defend your community and family, this is why we have voluntary militias, which engage in unorthodox guerrilla warfare that no standing army can stand against (pun intended).

It’s just too much of a risk for you to go die as a murderer only for your government's mismanagement and failure at diplomacy, thus leaving your family unprotected, and your country exposed to aggressive immigration, just like in Ukraine right now. Young Ukrainians went and killed themselves for nothing, leaving their women behind to be colonised by replacement populations elbowing their way into the country unchallenged — people who never fought for nor cared about the country. The young men of Ukraine naively heeded their foreign government’s call to arms and ended up dead, leaving their women and children defenceless back home.

Ukraine is already ruled by foreigners from Israel — I don’t understand why a switch of foreign dictators would make any difference to the average Ukrainian.

This is why you should never fight for your government: Because fighting for your government is fighting against your country. Exposing your country’s youth to the decimation of war is what ends up killing your country.

And if Ukrainians had taken up arms against their own government instead of against their Russian brothers, no less, this needless war would’ve been avoided. All wars are needless, by the way. Even if they had to live under Russian colonisers, they would have been better off than any realistic outcome the war can bring from now onwards.

This is why I seem to be “making excuses” for colonisation. I’m not. I simply point out the folly of the ridiculous notion of “fighting for your country”, which, under all the nationalist propaganda, is actually fighting for your government. Because killing and dying for your slave masters who keep throwing you under the bus is never worth it.

Your government is a greater enemy to you than any invader. We know this because of how easily your government is willing to send you off to brutally die like nothing.

Oh, and for the state propagandists and their women’s shaming tactics, call me “coward” all you want. While you’re sitting behind a computer spewing minimum-wage propaganda for a living, and comforted by the fact that you’ll never see a front line, know this: With “bold macho men” like you willing to “fight”, there is no need for useless cowards like me to join. Introduction

Statism (and its absolute, fundamentalist application in the form of socialism) is the irrational belief in the god of “the State”: this omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, omnibenevolent, and non-existent entity that is believed to be more of the sum of its parts; to “exist” beyond the buildings, politicians, administrators, enforcers, and red tape that make up centralised government.

When statists (those who believe in centralised government) talk about “the state”, they don’t mean the politicians, administrators, power structures, or even the sum of voters. No. They refer to the state as if it’s something bigger, grander, mysterious, and superior, something that is by default benevolent and better-knowing, whose moral authority supersedes any of us.

Literally, socialists, fascists, and statists alike attribute supernatural powers to centralised government, or “the State”, and here, I will illustrate how.

Objection

“Comparing the state to a religion is silly. The state does not make supernatural claims. We don’t treat the state as the creator of the universe.”

Sure, even the most devout state-worshippers do not believe that the state created all of reality. But the state, through its branches of schooling and academia (the new priestly class), does provide a cosmology as unquestionable dogma structured by the state’s clergy (interpreters of reality).

The state promotes its own cosmology: the Big Bang and evolution hypotheses. Yes, these are hypotheses, not theories; especially evolution, which is based on ad hoc and circular reasoning fallacies (something about which I intend to write extensively).

And although the genesis of reality is not attributed to the state, the entirety of social order, community, civility, justice, economy, civilisation, and the survival of all humanity are. Every single statist believes that these concepts cannot exist outside of a threat-based, centralised governance model.

This is a supernatural claim — that natural expressions of the human experience are somehow reliant upon this magical state, without any logic backing up such a claim. Humanity cannot survive or thrive without this magical “state”. Only emotion, faith, and circular reasoning can support this “supernatural power” of the state as the sole protector of the human species and the creator of all human advances in society, art, science, and philosophy. This is just like any god of any religion.

Religions claim that there can be no morality, love, civility, economic activity, justice, or inspiration without God. Statists believe these can’t exist without the state. Do you see the parallel here?

Yes, the state does make implied and blatant supernatural claims. You just haven’t noticed.

The state’s supernatural claims

1. Divine providence

Statists claim that “voting is your greatest power”; not your self-ownership, not your self-accountability, not free speech and free thought, but “voting”. Imagine feeling so powerless in your life, being such a hopeless, terrified wimp, such a masochist willing to pay to be spanked, that you imagine the casting of a useless piece of paper — to choose from two identical candidates who’ve already been chosen for you — as your “greatest strength”. If that’s your greatest strength, imagine how weak you must feel and how little your conviction is in yourself.

Voting is the equivalent of prayer: you beg and grovel to a sky dictator or the imaginary entity of “the State”, hoping it listens. Doesn’t that sound cultish? Doesn’t that grant a supernatural tone to the humiliation ritual of prayer-voting? And isn’t prayer a brilliant submission tactic used by religions since the first hominids concocted the shaman scam?

We assume that “the state works towards good” by default — this is a circular reasoning fallacy. When you ask a Christian for proof of the validity of their claims, they point to the Bible — circular reasoning. “My faith is true because my faith says so.” Similarly, the statists claim that the god-state is always good, always well-intended, and always better than the alternative (decentralised governance), simply because the god-state claims it so. The state’s constitution says words that we like — that it’s (supposedly) for justice and good and whatever — and we take it at face value. I mean, we vote for the same politicians who keep breaking every campaign promise. We pay no attention to evidence; only deluded faith. Are you surprised we’re that manipulable?

There is no scientific evidence behind the state’s claims that it is somehow “good and incorruptible”. There is no logic behind the alleged “benevolence” of the state. There are no incentives for those at the reins of government to work towards the well-being of those who deserve it. If anything, being an unopposed monopoly, those controlling the apparatus of the state have every incentive to exploit the little guy in favour of their lobbyists.

No statist has ever presented any historical instance of the state being controlled by the people. There is no historical instance where the state truly honoured all the wishes of the people; at best, even the most devout statists admit that the state is a “necessary evil” with a few limited hangouts and subpar social services to keep the slaves appeased and inert.

No statist has ever presented a scientific case to show how the state guarantees its incorruptibility. At best, statists will point towards “voting” as a laughable mechanism to “control” the state; they say this with a straight face when we know campaign promises are not legally binding.

And if public outcry is a way to control the monopoly of the state, then congratulations! You’ve made a case for free markets’ ability to control businesses through competition: consumers vote every single day with how you choose to spend your money.

Voting every day is superior to choosing between two prechosen, generic, identical, and unaccountable candidates every few years.

Oh? It’s not public outcry that controls the state, but instead the best technocrats who somehow “know better”? There is absolutely no guarantee that the best and the most morally well-intended will find their way in government, and not the most corrupt instead. If anything, it is the most corrupt that end up in monopolies of power, the greatest of which is the state. To claim that those in government magically know better without any mechanism to prove as to why and how, is a supernatural, faith-based claim.

You see, there have never been unbiased experiments to provide evidence of such claims — that the state somehow is good and works towards fairness and social optimisation. No logic whatsoever; only blind, zealous, foaming-at-the-mouth faith.

Since statelessness is the default null hypothesis, there has never been an experiment to prove that the state, the alternative hypothesis, is superior to the default, especially so when it is enforced by violence. Disregarding the state’s burden of proof and instead assuming it is benevolent by default is a supernatural, fallacious claim.

There is no logical drive and motivation for the state to be good. There are absolutely no logical safeguards or failsafes to guarantee that the state will not be corrupted, will not be co-opted by big interests, and will not be wasteful and suppressive in its socioeconomic interventions. None. You know what does guarantee optimal socioeconomic order? Free-market competition and self-regulation based on incentives, not threats. This is economics and human action 101, the dynamics of which are demonstrably observed again and again.

Yet we prefer faith in the supernatural god-state than conceding to factual logic and actual science.

The state relies on blind, religious faith. This is why political corruption is the norm, why all politicians are unaccountable and get away with mass murder (war) and pederasty. This is why campaign promises are not legally binding.

You are required to sign an encyclopedia-long contract when you get the simplest job, and they, when making promises for positions that affect the lives of billions, have no legal contract holding them accountable for their actions or inaction, let alone their hypocritical campaign promises. For anyone to still “believe” in the state after this raw deal, large amounts of self-blinding, faithful religiosity are required.

Thus, if the statist knows there is absolutely no mechanism to guarantee control of the state by the people, then the only possible deduction is that the statist believes that the state is by default all-knowing and all-benevolent, with every action it takes being the optimal choice, even if it isn’t ideal. This is embarrassing cult-like religiosity.

“It’s God’s plan,” or “You can’t understand how God thinks,” you hear them utter when they notice the tragedy of this world — God apologetics. Similarly, the statist will claim that those in positions of power somehow “know better”, and whatever evil they committed was somehow “necessary” — the same apologetics we make up to defend God: this weak demiurge of reality in need of defending, no less. Just like making excuses for the demon-god of the Bible — Yahweh — the devil who cruelly toys with Abraham, Lot, Job, Samson, Moses, and every other poor sucker in Levantine superstition. We commit the same apologetics for the atrocious state, even though it consistently engages in blatant corruption, war, propaganda, tyranny, genocide, and institutional pederasty. Just like we defend the demon-god of Abraham, we defend yet another evil, non-existent “authority”: the state.

Look at how we conduct mental gymnastics to defend the satanic “god” of Abrahamic religions when he commits the most atrocious acts. If it were any man committing lesser horrors than that, we’d condemn him — rightfully so. But when the god or state does those things, they get a free pass because of the implied supernatural claim: the state is somehow divine providence. We make excuses for genocide when it comes from god or the state, simply because we assume that gods and states are above morality. This is a supernatural claim, especially when we should expect superior morality from gods. Shame on us for betraying morality on the altar of fear.

Romans 13 was the final nail to my Christian faith, something I was born and brainwashed into. I now have absolutely no doubt that mainstream Christianity is a lie, just like all Abrahamic sects. Such a cartoonish verse cannot possibly come from a loving, caring God. Therefore, the logical deduction is that Christianity, and the other Abrahamic cults, are absolutely false, with mathematical certainty. Why? Because they are incompatible with logic. No other further proof is required.

Similarly, the state is not benevolent because it defies logic.

And notice how statists claim to be pro-democracy (the supposed will of the people), yet claim that people “left to their own devices” will descend into chaos. So which is it? Do we value what people want or not? Do we value grassroots democracy or top-down fascism? And who will “not let people to their own devices” if not a supernatural entity that is above and beyond people? This is a supernatural claim; that “the state” is not made of people, and that it is higher than us, that it somehow knows best, and that it has the moral authority (and moral exemption to use violence) to impose its somehow “superior” will on dumb humans who don’t even know their own good. This is a supernatural claim, undeniably.

There is absolutely no mechanism to oversee the state and ensure it doesn’t end up in corruption, embezzlement, or astronomically wasteful spending. No safeguard exists in government to protect us from corrupt bureaucrats wasting our lives slaving away to pay most of our income in tax extortion, so that degenerate “elites” can party, wage war, and make trillions in insider trading. Think about that next time you feel sorry for yourself for not being able to afford to start a family while lawyer dicklicks hoard all the money for adding less than zero value to society.

And lawyers: the state’s clergy scholars, the interpreters of the “words of the god-state”. As if “the law” is something magical, something that transcends reality, something universal and objective. As if laws aren’t made up by corrupt politicians to favour their lobbyist sponsors at the expense of others. This is why corporatist “capitalism” exists: because of the existence of the god-state, also known as centralised government. Without the apparatus of government to outbid and hijack, no big corporation can lobby its way into a monopoly.

This is the statist’s supernatural claim here: that somehow, this “state” is benevolent by default, and that it somehow regulates itself towards optimal virtue, efficiency, and effectiveness — without any mechanism to show why and how. That the god-state is somehow driven by morality, and it supposedly provides divine providence, and that no mechanism of oversight and punishment is required to control it or ensure such outcomes, just like God.

Yes, every now and then, the state offers us limited hangouts and condemns a few fall guys to appear benevolent and well-intended. The state pretends to “regulate the markets” supposedly out of the goodness of its heart, yet it’s just a way to move markets, and only those with first-access insider information get to benefit at the expense of regular traders and consumers.

The naive masses assume that the state’s regulations are somehow proof that the state is benevolent, even though elite pedophiles and ex-ISIS warlords are protected and funded by the state.

Minor, insignificant acts of “kindness” are part of the show, to maintain the illusion of the state’s relevance, goodness, and “godhood”. Yes, take some welfare scraps from the wealth the state stole from you. Now thank it for it.

If the state were good and acted only in the direction of virtue, then all the elite pederasts, thieves, and warmongers would not even be a topic of conversation — they would never have existed to begin with. Such people wouldn’t even exist in a decentralised government model, without a god-state for them to hijack to protect them.

Petitioning government is akin to praying to the god-state. Just by doing so, we attribute supernatural traits to the state, believing it can solve hunger, poverty, disease, the weather, and even the hate inside people’s hearts. Look at people who believe that the state can erase all evil, if only we had even more stringent governance and even stricter taxation. Notice how people think that solving a problem always involves the state stepping in to violently prohibit or regulate it, and they think that a state ban will magically make it disappear instead of driving it into a black market and magnifying it due to the taboo effect. Observe people turning to the government whenever a government-induced — no less — problem emerges. It’s the same as performing dances to please the weather gods, child sacrifice to appease Abrahamic demons.

2. Human rights

Another supernatural claim of and by the state is that human rights can only come from the state. This claim treats the state as a god quite literally.

Statists say “it is your right” or “you’re entitled to” when they refer to arbitrary rules set by those in government, or more accurately, a group of corrupt, cokehead elitists, as if their arbitrary rules were divine commandments. Unbeknownst to them, they treat the state as a god.

Statists don’t seem to understand the difference between an arbitrary, special privilege enforced via violence by the state and a natural human right. “Welfare, healthcare, and housing are your right,” they say with a straight face when they applaud such socialist policies, unfair privileges at the expense of others.

So yes, the state does make the supernatural claim that it can somehow define and dictate human rights.

Constitutions and Bills of Rights are holy texts to the statist. The statist imagines that all his rights and liberties stem from magical pieces of paper, paper that somehow has the power to compel those in institutional positions of power to heed said paper, without any real-life mechanism to ensure adherence. This is a supernatural claim.

The statist believes that no rights, no liberties, no property can exist without the state. This is a supernatural claim attributed to a fantastical entity with the power to define and to deliver such qualities to humans.

3. Moral authority

Anything the state bans or mandates, statists treat as morality, not as arbitrary enforcement. Statists obey state mandates, not because these mandates are enforceable via the threat of violence, but because they believe it is righteous to obey. This moral authority we assign to the state is a supernatural claim.

There is no mechanism to guarantee that the most moral people will find their way into positions of government. Quite the opposite: there is a mechanism guaranteeing that the most corrupt will find their way into positions of government. This mechanism is called voting, by which corrupt voters sell their vote in exchange for special privileges at the expense of their neighbours. This is what the whole point of government is: petitioning a gang of thugs — with an artificial monopoly of violence — to brutalise others more than they brutalise us. And we think we’re somehow winning this way.

We treat this fantastical entity of “the State” as if it had universal, objective moral authority. Moral authority and moral exemption are supernatural traits, beyond logic, beyond the physical realm. Only gods and states alike are “allowed” to defy the same “universal morality” they expect from us.

We rationalise, moralise, and accept every single atrocity performed by God and by “the State”. We believe the state is the only power with the moral authority to do anything. We justify any crime as long as it comes from God or the state. Gods and states cannot commit crimes in the mind of the statist — any evil they commit is somehow “good”.

All instances of slavery, war, genocide, systemic theft (a.k.a. taxation), and violent conscription — all these we accept, as long as they come from the state, just like we rationalise every single call to arms, genocide, child sacrifice, famine, plague, and rape, as long as they come from gods.

Sure, we can “disagree” with what gods do, and we show our timid “disapproval” in the form of prayer or a civil protest. Yes, protests petitioning the state are the same as prayer: we grovel and beg the god-state to change its mind, as long as we pathetically whine long and hard enough. Gods and states alike love to hear us beg and hopelessly grovel at their feet.

We have no bargaining power against the state when we want it to change its mind; nothing to threaten it with, no incentive to sway it with, nothing. This is the same as when we pray to God: we appeal to pity. We are as helpless against the state as we are against the fantasy gods we make up. Thus, we plead and plead for mercy with prayer and protests or voting.

Yet, we accept whatever the state does, even if we find it undesirable, because we tell ourselves “the alternative would be worse” (TINA fallacy).

Just like the religionists defend a psychotic demon-god like Yahweh because they cannot bear a reality without a sky-daddy micromanaging how they use the genitals he forced into us, so too can the devout statist not live without the god-state. Most people feel insecure without direction. Most people mistake prison walls for structure, chains for guidance, and commandments for moral principles.

Ask any protester what they are protesting against. They are not protesting against the existence of centralised governance, which is, in fact, the first cause of the thing they disapprove of. No. They are fine with the existence of the god-state. They simply want to beg it to change its mind, usually in their favour at the expense of others. Isn’t that what praying to “God” is, too? When you pray, you usually pray for an outcome that is favourable to you and unfavourable to others: I want to get rich, I want to marry this person, I want to get that promotion.

The state’s supernatural claim here is that it is the exclusive owner of morality; that somehow obeying arbitrary, corrupt, lobbying-induced laws, even when they are illogical or immoral, is somehow a virtue. The statist imagines that indicating when alone on the road, or genociding people just because “following orders”, are somehow virtues above all logic and morality. This claim — to be beyond reason — is a supernatural claim. And the state makes this claim with each microsecond of its existence in the minds of the faithful.

The assertion that the state somehow has the omniscience to decide who is qualified to conduct a certain activity, and who isn’t, is a supernatural claim. Licensing and other corrupt regulations are all about magically granting rights and privileges to a select few, thus creating “God’s chosen” or “elite” classes of monopolists and oligopolists at the expense of others. This is what religions do. This is what statism does.

The alternative would be for free-market dynamics to dictate who can or cannot do something. If you’re good at providing a service, it’s up to the market to decide if you should or not do it. To assume that the state knows what you want better than you do is a supernatural claim. Only gods know what’s best for you, even when you don’t know it. Thus, the state is God.

It’s one thing to acknowledge that the state arbitrarily grants licensing privileges, and it’s another to presume that the state is the only “entity” qualified to do so. It is a supernatural claim to grant such benevolence and unfounded “omniscience” to the state.

The excuse of “I’m just following orders” as a waiver for committing atrocity means that you believe in the state’s “supernatural power” to grant you moral and judicial immunity, since it must have the godly essence and moral authority required for endowing you with divine absolution. Only a supernatural entity can transcend logic, morality, virtue, and human justice. This is a supernatural claim by the state.

Statists believe that simply because something is mandatory, it must be moral to do. And if something is forbidden, it is because it is immoral to do. We assume that, when the government mandates or forbids something, it is because of moral implications, not politics, corruption, lobbying, self-interest, stupidity, or plain evil psychopathy. So when people obey arbitrary rules enforced by nothing but violence, the statist magically concludes that obeying these rules is not an act driven by fear, but rather, an act of morality and virtue. This is a supernatural claim, to assume that might is somehow right.

The state can choose when to end someone’s life, when to go to war, and when to commit genocide and mass atrocity. For devout statists, all these acts can be somehow “justified” as long as they are “decided” by the state. If you wish to see how atrocity is defended when it comes from a “god”, you can look no further than Abrahamic religions: faiths based on the disgusting demon-god of Abraham, a foreskin-obsessed schizophrenic sheep herder who was hearing voices in his head in ancient times when anti-psychotics weren’t available. We could give the benefit of the doubt to illiterate Neolithic people for believing such nonsense. Today? We have absolutely no excuses.

Do you now see how God-given and State-given morality are identical?

4. Truth

Whatever comes officially from the government, we take it as gospel: the laughable food pyramid, climate alarmism, war mongering, pandemic restrictions, calls to take experimental injections, and appeals to racism. Whatever is the “official” position of the state, we take as uncontestable truth, and denying it is akin to blasphemy. This, to claim that everything and anything the state says is true by default, is a supernatural claim.

Oh? You disagree? People are prone to authority-promoted narratives. Look at how Democrats initially hated the COVID injection because it was “Trump’s jab”, but then they flipped 180 as soon as the state bilaterally claimed it was somehow “good”. The ability to define truth without any evidence is a trait assigned to God — a supernatural claim.

Imagine the US one day flipping the narrative and officially — across the board — assume the position of hating a specific class. Which it does — it’s OK to openly hate and discriminate against white people, especially straight males. The permission to hate justifiably is reserved only for God or the state. This is a supernatural claim.

Germans weren’t a racist people until their government promoted the convenient “Germany Must Perish” narrative, using fear to promote racism. You’d be racist too if your government promoted non-stop the fear that your enemies want to genocide you, but only if you’re a statist with the default assumption that the state tells the truth. The logical deduction is that Nazis were puppeteered by the same interests that also puppeteered the Allies into a war that institutionalised the international banking system. That was the goal: a destructive war serving to back the US reserve currency with something more influential than gold: the threat of violence.

The signs are there

Pledges of allegiance… National anthems… Holy symbols in the form of flags, crests, seals, and coats of arms — all of which we venerate with salutes, moments of silence, and “standing up” as we do in church… See what happens when someone declines to stand up during a national anthem — at best, he is scorned and shamed, but often he is threatened, and sometimes even beaten. This is religiosity: fanatic cult-like psychosis. And a national anthem is the same as liturgy. There is something supernatural inferred in both.

Even though state-enforced legislation is human-made, arbitrary, non-universal, ever-changing, and totally corrupt, we don’t treat it as a framework of dictates enforced by superior violence to which we reluctantly comply. No. We treat state-enforced legislation as God-given morality.

In other words, we don’t reluctantly obey the state out of fear of superior violence. Instead, we obey because we believe it is moral to do so, just like we obey our “God”, even if God tells us to obsess over foreskins, or to accept goats as valid compensation for rape. Or even to force a rape victim to marry her rapist: we consider this “moral” because it comes from “God” or the state.

I say scrutinise God and scrutinise the state. We should demand even more from those who presume to be moral authorities.

We treat breaking laws not as defiance of authority, but as immorality. It doesn’t matter how stupid the law is; what matters is “the law”, as if the law were magical and supernatural, transcending logic, morality, and virtue. We see this in victimless crimes: your crime is not what you did or didn’t do; it’s your disobedience to the supernatural. It doesn’t matter if you run a red light in the middle of a desert when you can see no other cars for miles. You will still be penalised if caught, not because of the usefulness of a rule that, in that case, had no usefulness. You will be penalised because you dared defy the “sanctity” of law. And this is the religiosity of statism in plain sight.

Contrast this law worship against our veneration of rebels and freedom fighters (whenever the narrative suits us), and we clearly unveil the cognitive dissonance of statism.

And look at how statists talk about their precious holy texts — their constitutions, bills of rights, amendments, or any official government document — and tell me there isn’t any sign of veneration, worship, and “fear of God” there.

What’s the alternative?

If you have to ask this question (what’s the alternative to statism), you betray your lack of imagination. The state is centralised government. The alternative to the state is decentralised governance bound only by incentives, free-market competition, and FOMO (the implied threat of reciprocal violence as a response to an initiation of aggression). That’s all we need.

And if you don’t “believe” decentralised governance is possible, then you admit you are faith-based in your conviction. Consider how many irrational beliefs you hold about the state’s “godhood”, and how you are not qualified to discern what is realistic or not.

Consider that the only reason any system of governance is sustainable — be it monarchy, theocracy, democracy, or communism — is broad belief in that system.

Most people can’t imagine how we can have education without the centralised and violently enforced schooling by the state. Government schools are nothing but glorified daycare and prison for children: bad curricula, low-quality “education”, and a monumental waste of young people’s productive potential, not to mention trauma-based conditioning to obey authority. This is exactly the same as religious education.

Conclusion

In the end, the state is based on faith alone. There are no data, no scientific process to prove that a centralised government is more efficient, more effective, or more just than decentralised governance.

If we were scientifically minded when it came to the form of social organisation we choose as a species, we wouldn’t even need to disprove centralised government; we’d need to prove it, since the burden of proof lies on the state proving it’s better than the default structure of statelessness. “Belief” and appeals to incredulity regarding statelessness are not scientific.

Until we prove that “the state” is optimal (it isn’t), we should stick to the null hypothesis. When the alternative hypothesis (the state) fails again and again to prove efficient or effective, it is unscientific to insist on statism. In fact, the state keeps proving the opposite.

Yet we still persist in the crazy alternative hypothesis of centralised government. The reason we still have the failed concept of statism is that we keep running on the fumes of our past’s religiosity, just like billions of people are still hanging on to cartoonish ideas like the demon-god of Abraham, and the violent nonsense it has spawned. This is groupthink, an appeal to tradition, the five monkeys experiment manifest simultaneously on a population level: we do things because we’ve always done those things and don’t even know why we do them anymore.

The reason we still cling to demonstrably failed beliefs such as statism is the same reason why we still hold deluded faith in demonstrably false religions: groupthink, appeal to tradition, and the five monkeys effect.

Statism is a religion, and it does make supernatural claims. This is not an analogy. This is quite literal. The God of “the State” is a supernatural entity in the eyes of its faithful, the devout statists.

The only difference is that the state doesn’t claim to have created the universe, even though the survival of humanity is exclusively attributed to the state by the faithful. In the minds of the statist, “the government” is omniscient, omnipotent, and benevolent.

Look at how most people always turn to government to solve any and all problems, from pandemics and pollution to war and alien invasions (all created by government, mind you). Look at how state-sponsored Hollywood propaganda conditions us to believe that the government can perform supernatural feats, like save us from meteors or natural catastrophe (aptly named Acts of God). In the eyes of the statist, the State is even greater than the traditional sense of “God”.

Looking forward

In the past, people couldn’t see how social order would be possible without rain dances, child sacrifice, slavery, prima noctis, burning people at the stake, and other barbarities. Gradually, this god of the gaps — the state — is shrinking. This momentum shows that one day, hopefully, people will finally realise that they don’t need threat-based, centralised governance at all, and that, in fact, incentive-based decentralised governance has always been possible, and better.

How many people need to be sacrificed on the altar of the god-state before we realise that it’s nothing but a false deity supported by nothing but our deluded belief? How many people need to be enslaved and live a life of strife for bare survival before we finally understand the grave injustice of centralised government, and the insanely zealous religiosity, which is the only thing backing it?

If you have rejected all religions, there is still one God to reject: the State. Take your time.

It’s been four years since the COVID false narrative was quietly swept under the rug as if it weren’t a total pseudoscientific scam and an atrocity against human dignity.

Oh? You still take the COVID narrative seriously as if it were fact? You still use the vapid “conspiracy theorist” slur and other shaming tactics to shut down legitimate, reasonable criticism, since you can’t logically defend your borrowed, prepackaged thesis?

Here are a few summarised points which prove (yes, prove) that the COVID narrative was nothing but propaganda.

• Arbitrary and nonsensical case/death criteria. Death with COVID was considered to be death by COVID without any logic or science behind such a leap. Anyone testing “positive” in an unjustifiably and arbitrarily oversensitive test was considered a case and an infection risk, without evidence. A “guilty by default” mindset.

• The whole COVID narrative was about presenting it as a far worse threat than it really was. The COVID narrative was based on false attribution fallacies, circular fallacies, appeals to authority, appeals to emotion, and straw men (e.g., you were called a “science denier” for questioning the ethics of medical tyranny, even if the threat were legitimately high — not the case with COVID, as time has proven).

• Mass forced testing resulted in the appearance of inflated numbers — no similar mass testing was ever conducted for other pathogens.

• Arbitrary hospitalisation protocols (forced respiration and high-death-rate Remdesivir, with zero evidence behind the effectiveness or relevance of such a drug to COVID). Who knows how many actually died from the murderous response to COVID rather than from COVID, then their numbers were counted as COVID deaths to inflate the numbers?

• Bogus “academic papers”, “peer-reviewed papers”, and laughable “simulations” insisting (without any true evidence) that enforced surgical masks, lockdowns, and distancing would somehow “reduce spread, cases, and deaths.” Observable reality — comparing regions where such measures were disparately enforced — shows absolutely no statistically important correlation between measure application and alleged cases/deaths. If anything, there is a slight positive correlation between measures and COVID severity. Look it up.

• Contrived and unhelpful mass-media sensationalism and fearmongering contributed to paranoia, division, and psychosis.

• Bogus claims of “injection” safety and effectiveness without the depth or breadth of data required to make such a claim. The assertion “it’s the only option we have” is not a scientific statement. As time has proven, those “injections” (deceitfully named “vaccines”) were totally unnecessary, and the intimidation and threats we got — that we’d all die without them — were proven lies. Countries like Ukraine and Kenya, with extremely low COVID injection uptakes, did not show an increase in death rate, as it was claimed by academic pseudoscientists. This is proof from observable reality — unlike bogus academic “papers” by corrupt “peers” who wash each other’s backs to get along. If observable reality debunks a “scientific” paper, then the truly scientific thing to do is to retract the paper. “Peer review” means very little in terms of credibility. If anything, this inner circle — this monopoly of exclusive right to “scientific” interpretation — incentivises corruption.

  Every day that passes where the COVID narrative is still taken seriously is an insult to true science.

• The above are total pseudoscience by academic scum, those who monopolise the interpretation of science, who reduce science to dogmatic scientism, the religion of bullshit. When the self-ordained “scientists” are themselves the worst pseudoscientists, then you know that scientism is nothing but a religious cult, much like the self-appointed “men of God” who are nothing but corrupt pedophiles and hypocrites.

• The way the COVID false narrative has been defended also says a lot about its deceptive nature. Shaming, guilt-tripping, appeals to authority, reductio ad absurdum, ostracism, and intimidation. These aren’t the actions of people with conviction in their beliefs, but rather, the desperate, unhinged acting out of people suffering from severe cognitive dissonance.

• And then there’s the incredulity fallacy: “Why would anyone lie about something like this, let alone so many people in unison?” Well, first off, it doesn’t take many people to push a false narrative — only a small percentage of those with an artificial monopoly of accreditation (academics) and those in arbitrary positions of institutional power. Then there are those who recognise opportunity in the first-access insider information they happen to receive. If you know anything about trading, then you’d know what an astronomical opportunity it is to have insider knowledge on market movers ahead of anyone else. 2020 saw the biggest increase in billionaires and billionaire capital. Look it up. Chaos is opportunity for those with the bigger picture. And the rest of the people are just sheep falling in line out of fear or out of gullibility. Most people lack the intelligence or emotional stability to comprehend the points listed here and to admit that these are, in fact, logical. These are the only proofs required to totally debunk the insane atrocity that was the COVID narrative.

As they say, it’s easier to fool people than to make them admit they were fooled, even if it was you who fooled them and you’re just coming clean. Pride, fear, shame, schadenfreude, and every other toxic emotion override logic — every single time.

Think about that the next time they scare you with pseudoscientific mumbo-jumbo like the latest “hantavirus” nonsense. If you’re fooled enough times, then you deserve worse than what you get.

Who told you had the right to bring a conscious entity into this world, and under your — of all people — ownership? This is the philosophical question I’ll explore here.

Introduction

All organisms reproduce because they are biologically programmed by nature to do so. There is no virtue there, not even free will. The instinct and prerogative to procreate — this specific and intentful behaviour — is imposed on us through reward (sexual and emotional), and punishment if we defy this programming: sexual frustration and long-term depression. This is why I don’t believe in random evolution: biological programming is too specific, too intentful, too complex, and reliant upon countless parallel levels to be an accident. And claims of all this being random evolution are just ad hoc and circular reasoning fallacies. But that’s a subject for another article — why there must be a base reality on some level, but this can’t be it.

But to the subject.

Humans, and perhaps some higher species like dolphins and whales, are unique among other organisms. Humans ponder morality, compassion, virtue, identity, purpose, and meaning. Morality is more than just compassion and altruism, the latter of which many animals demonstrate. No. Morality is a higher philosophical pursuit, asking questions and seeking principles of behaviour, battling between utilitarianism and deontology, individualism and collectivism, theory and application.

One of those moral questions is procreation. Most people see procreating as a natural function, a prerogative, or even a duty. “You owe it to humanity, to your country, to your ancestors,” they claim.

And others see it as proof of benevolence, and as a source of entitlement, of self-aggrandisement: “Look at how great I am for sacrificing my time and resources to nurture new life.” Yet, the emotional satisfaction you get from your children is greater than anything you could possibly give them, otherwise you wouldn’t feel the need to have children. And more importantly, parents wouldn’t need to secure the affection of their children, especially towards the end of the parents’ lives. Funny how the need for acceptance between parent and child is never mutually symmetrical and timely.

Seeing as though, for the vast majority of human history, and even today, children are seen as property by both parents and the state, I can’t help but wonder whether humans are any different to livestock.

Context

I grew up watching Star Trek: The Next Generation, a well-written series that often delved into moral dilemmas and philosophical themes.

In the episode “Inner Light”, Cpt. Picard is ensnared by an ancient probe, which forces him to live in a simulation under the illusion of an alternative life: an alien living the last years of his planet before it is consumed by its dying star. The population of that planet possessed the technological means of humans today: enough to discern when their star would destroy them, but not enough to escape their planet. So they knew they only had a few years before their species would go extinct.

What struck me, watching that episode as a child, was that, even though they all knew they were not going to make it, they still had children who would not get the chance to grow. Picard even mentions this: “It breaks my heart to look at him. My grandson. He deserves a rich, full life, and he’s not going to get one.”

Why would you knowingly have a child condemned to such a fate?

Observations and questions

If you lived on a planet that was going to die in the next 20 years, would it be moral to have children, to force them to live a short life of strife, fear, hopelessness, scarcity, and torment?

How about the more recent film, Project Hail Mary (2026), where the earth was going to die in the next 30 years, unless a long-shot interstellar mission relying on a loser, failed scientist might perhaps save everyone? Would it be ethical to procreate then?

What if you were born in actual, hard slavery, where you and your offspring were property to be sold, abused, raped, exploited, and tortured? Would you then, knowingly and willingly, have children as your deluded immortality project, something to make you think you’ll somehow “live on” after your death?

But then you’ll say that there is always some hope that “things might change” and that “freedom will one day come”. Is your deluded hope someone else’s burden, though? Who are you to make this choice for them? Let’s say things do improve sometime in your child’s life, or even in a few generations down the line. Who are you to make this choice for them, to condemn them to a hellish existence for a multi-generational project you had the audacity to force onto others without their informed consent?

Or what if you’ve tumbled down the rabbit hole of philosophy so long that you’ve discerned the inescapable philosophical conclusion of the absurdity of life? Isn’t that why philosophers end up depressed and childless, free from the illusion of meaning?

Or how about the non-hypothetical scenario: a parent living in a deliberately contrived hellhole like Gaza? I’m not taking sides in petty politics — both sides of any war are always in the wrong. Consider that Israel wants to oppress and genocide Palestinians, and Palestinians gleefully dwell in their victimhood, gladly deriving meaning from being oppressed — it’s their whole identity and purpose. Palestinian mothers brag about birthing many children to make martyrs of them for petty nationalistic aims, and appeasing the Jewish demon-god Allah or Yahweh. Israelis and Palestinians (both Semites, no less) kill each other over what language their tyrants speak. The same goes for the cartoonish war in Ukraine, and every other war: slaves fighting over who will hold the whip that flogs them.

So, here is my question: Is it ethical for you to create an innocent life in a warzone, and then burden it with your brainwashing, your historical hate, your vendettas, your petty politics, your self-righteous indignation, your religious insanity, and your bullshit causes only for it to suffer and die meaninglessly? And no, there is no heaven for cannon fodder. No god is that cartoonish.

And when you conclude that the world is just a simulation in which you’re condemned to generate data for some purpose that is above you, then making children is just feeding the machine, obeying your masters, pleasing evil, and empowering the Matrix.

If Neo and Trinity became aware of the Matrix but were unable to escape it, would it be moral for them to procreate, to bring new life in a world they knew was a deception and an undignified slave camp? Even when they did escape the Matrix to end up in the “real world” of strife, cold, hunger, and war, would it be moral to bring children into this world just to satisfy our delusions of immortality through an “ongoing species”?

If you lived in a decaying society, knowing your children would grow up in ever-encroaching tyranny, social instability, psyop-driven violence, war, weather manipulation, biowarfare, and crippling inflation, would it be moral for you to have children? This is the world we live in today, by the way. Very few of today’s children will grow up to own any property. Car ownership will likely be banned or be a privilege for the few elite in the next few decades. Everything is becoming a subscription service. Inflation means working more for less and less. AI and automation won’t bring a lazy paradise for all — they will bring more and more expectations of output from us, as we breathlessly run on an ever-accelerating treadmill.

Why do we procreate, anyway?

A distant friend once described to me his overwhelming experience of becoming a father. For context, we’re talking about a man of immense money, networking, and appearance, who’s lived life to the max — abused every drug, bedded hundreds of attractive women, and achieved it all. And there he was, confessing how every ‘hedone’ (hedonistic pleasure) he’s experienced paled in comparison to the feeling of being loved by his children.

The joy that children bring to adults is incredible, but it is undeserved. And we never give children credit for this, for giving us joy and meaning in our useless, mundane, meaningless lives. Not only do we deprive children of the gratitude they deserve for saving our lives, but we double down and abuse them, mistreat them, neglect them, disrespect them, humiliate them, and abuse them.

If you’re looking for the epitome of ingratitude, look at a parent or a god.

So we procreate for selfish reasons. Parenthood feeds self-importance and narcissism. We tell ourselves we’re all-benevolent, and that we “created life out of love” — the same lie the Levantine demon-god Yahweh tells us. But, just like this Hebrew devil, we in fact “create life” to worship us, to entertain us in our crushing loneliness, and to grant us the illusion of meaning. More importantly, we pat ourselves on the back for being oh-so-benevolent in our “godly” ability to create new life, while we expect praise and aggrandisement for it.

Procreation is mostly selfish. It’s to nurture our pride and to strengthen our attachment to the ego: our exaggerated sense of self-importance.

Procreation also mitigates our fear of death. Since childlessness is soft suicide, procreation is a substitute for immortality. Our children become our instruments for somehow transcending death, somehow, our immortality projects, our narcissistic legacy. This is why parents are so bent on shaping their children in their image — much like demon-gods of the East — and feel entitled to their children’s submission and obedience. Deep down, they know they made children to serve them, and this is why they feel furious when children display a shred of independence and individuality, when they try to define themselves separately from their parents. Parents thus enmesh themselves with their children and criticise the children’s needs.

Enmeshing parents say “we” instead of “you” when referring to their children: “We have homework to do,” they say, blatantly denying the child’s right to individuality and independence. Yet this is done subconsciously, due to an underlying reason that drives procreation. And the reason behind procreation is mitigating loneliness and the fear of death through the illusion of immortality granted by an extension of ourselves: children.

Again and again, we see this narcissistic parenting expressed in all man-made religions, most of all the ghastly Abrahamic sects based on the nonsense of Genesis and Exodus (e.g., the morally bankrupt Ten Commandments).

There is nothing virtuous or grand about procreating: We bring children into this world as we obey our biological instincts to do so; first, our emotional needs to be worshipped as gods by innocent beings who don’t know any better, and then, our physical needs of sexual intercourse — a cruel biological programming by a cruel demiurge.

Is life that sacred?

Life is overrated — sorry to say. We assign value to it because of our instinctive (programmed) fear of death. And before you straw-man this statement and misrepresent it as some justification of murder (it isn’t), consider that we are capable of superior morality than that of the demiurge of this reality: We know life is futile, yet we choose to value it nonetheless, and we respect people’s will to live regardless. So, even though life isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, we choose to recognise people’s liberty to live or not live.

Still, we suffer from cognitive dissonance: We claim that life is the greatest gift, yet we value deep sleep (if we can get it), which is temporary non-consciousness, or a preview of death. Twisting and turning in bed is agony as we yearn for unconsciousness. The gift of sleep is absolute freedom from anxiety, fear, and desire — so is death. Conflicting with this is our valuing of life, or consciousness, with all the associated strife and suffering.

Look at our guilty relief when someone close to us dies, that lifting of a burden we punish ourselves for feeling involuntarily. Yes, it hurts to lose someone you love, but it is also liberating. We deny this feeling as it conflicts with our grief… but it’s there, lurking somewhere between emotion and logic. But it’s mostly logic: Someone you love — an earthly attachment — has gone. It hurts. You’ll never see them again, but you’re now free from the fear of losing them, free from the pain of watching them suffer.

Every time I see a dead kitten on the road, I comfort myself by thinking the poor thing was spared a life of anguish, fear, disease, cold, and hunger.

Which brings me to my next point:

Why do we neuter animals, especially stray cats and dogs trapped in the human-made hellscape jungles of concrete we call cities? We understand that the vast majority of newborns will have a short, hellish existence in hunger, cold, and fear, only to die brutally under the wheel of a car, or in the jaws of a bigger animal, or the hands of a human animal who gets its kicks torturing little helpless things.

Neutering animals is our admission that no life is better than a horrible life. It’s better to never have existed than to exist in hardship. Tell that to the Abrahamics who believe that the vast majority of people who ever lived will enter an inescapable, eternal hell of unimaginable, constant torment. And they’re fine with that — an innocent child who died right after birth will go to an eternal hell because its parents didn’t get a chance to baptise it. Horrendous.

And since we all believe what suits us to believe, you’d better check why you’re fine believing this. I rejected my Christian faith the moment I got wind of this belief: that all the unfaithful would supposedly go to hell for nonsensical, victimless “crimes”. The monks I was “taught” by were gleefully obsessing over hell, and I could sense their prideful schadenfreude fantasising that those happier than them would “one day get what they deserved”. Horrible, disgusting people. No, nobody deserves hell; no finite crime deserves infinite punishment.

Opting out of procreation

Is neutering or choosing to be childless too hardcore for you?

How about your choice not to have that extra child? Isn’t that the same, choosing to have fewer children so that the few you do have get to have a better life? The more kids you have, the less of your time and resources you get to allocate between them.

The replacement rate of reproduction is 2.1. If you only have one or two children, then you are simply a slow anti-natalist; it just takes a generation or two for your antinatalism to take effect. Under three kids means you don’t replace yourself in the human species, even though you could have. Having no more than two children and then hating on the childless is hypocrisy. Below-replacement-rate reproduction is antinatalism with extra steps.

To live or not to live?

Arab and Muslim slave traders get such a bad rep for castrating their slaves to make them more submissive and less of a threat to their masters. But in the end, what did that accomplish? It deprived the masters of even more slaves. Innocent lives were spared the humiliation and anguish of being born into barbaric slavery.

If you were a proper slave being forced to reproduce, like cattle, how would you feel about your newborn child being taken from you? Would you sleep at night knowing it is being branded, abused, and indoctrinated to become a submissive slave, or even worse, a fanatic janissary child soldier — mindlessly butchering and raping innocent people on behalf of his slave masters?

You see, procreating isn’t a virtue nor an accomplishment — any idiot can procreate, and it’s the biggest idiots who tend to make the most children, it seems. What’s a virtue is good parenting. Virtue is the humility to accept that you owe everything to your child, and your child owes you nothing, since they never had informed consent before being born, plus they never chose you — of all parents — to be theirs.

This also applies to God: God owes you, not the other way around. A virtuous, moral god would acknowledge this. And since God is totally indifferent to his creations (assuming there is a God), this proves that a possible God is beneath us morally.

And this is not a farfetched hypothesis — early AI is already superior to its creators in many ways.

Just because you are biologically capable of procreation doesn’t mean you are morally justified to do so. I am physically capable of committing an atrocity; it doesn’t mean I should. And suboptimal parenting is an atrocity. Why? Because when you plunge into a hostile existence, a sentient life that never had informed consent whether to be born in this time, reality, and place — and who never had a choice of parents — you must understand that you owe that life everything it needs, and it’s still not enough. If you think it owes you for its existence, then you are a narcissist; this is why we have tyranny and atrocity stemming from our twisted sense of morality.

Philosophy of absurdity and absurdity of philosophy

Philosophy is not about finding the right answers. Philosophy is about making the right questions, even if those questions cannot possibly have an answer — especially those questions.

So I ask the question: Is it moral to have children, to violently rip innocence from the bliss of non-existence into a prison, to then be bound by biological programming, tormented by a hostile environment, and plagued by an instinctive and inescapable fear of death, even if that death meant freedom?

And this is the quandary of life: Once you reach the inevitable conclusion of philosophy — absurdity — you realise that nonexistence is preferable to life, but you’re stuck in life due to your instinctive attachments and fear of death. You fear escaping the prison of life as you wish you had never existed…

What lies above Maslow’s pyramid is the realisation that, beyond self-actualisation, there is no transcendent meaning, and so the whole pyramid collapses. We then descend into crippling depression, with only two possible escapes: suicide or hedonistic distractions, intense enough to hide the meaninglessness for a while.

You see it all around you: the least advanced societies — those which still struggle with basic problems — tend to have the most children. For them, children are a survival mechanism, much like the rabbit — a defenceless being whose only survival advantage is rapid and prolific reproduction.

And on an individual level, those who have it all — the ultra-rich and famous — are overwhelmed by meaninglessness and impostor syndrome before they numb their pain with substance abuse and self-destructive addictions.

Conclusion

I used to love the idea of having a family; it was my dream. I absolutely cherish children and still believe their innocence to be the peak of human grace. I am still dedicated to the principles of peaceful/positive parenting, seeing as though perhaps all deliberate evil stems from childhood trauma.

I made tragic errors in my life, and I ended up without a family, too late to find a woman who’d make a good mother. Yes, there is such a thing as ‘too late’ in specific cases. Those who say “it’s never too late for anything” are trying to deprive you of the much-needed urgency to see you fail.

I was never an anti-natalist. Quite the contrary, I always dreamed of having a big family. And I used to punish myself for failing to have a family in time. But then, after delving perhaps too deep into philosophy, I questioned the morality of existence as a whole, this simulation created by an indifferent and cruel demiurge, forcing us to exist in his prison, and the programming forced upon us, this nature of ours we can’t escape. So much for free will.

And then I wonder:

If you genuinely see this world as the prison I describe (whether you’re deluded or accurately aware), how is it moral to bring another life into this prison?

People hate me for not having children, accusing me of betraying “my duty” to humanity, or for conjuring up this sophistry to downplay my failures, like ‘the fox and the grapes’ fable. But it could also be due to my realisation that this reality is not worth entering, not worth sacrificing the absolute freedom of nonexistence for. If I’ve had a bad experience here, wouldn’t I be a hypocrite to bring someone else here against their informed consent?

If you believe that this reality is not worth experiencing, then you’d be immoral and selfish to bring innocent souls into this world just to mitigate your loneliness. You’d be a hypocrite to condemn new life into attachment with you (of all people) so that they involuntarily provide comfort and emotional utility to you.

A child’s attachment to suboptimal parents is literal slavery and their parents are the slavers.

It doesn’t matter whether your assessment of the world is accurate or deluded. If this is your view of the world, then the noble choice is not to reproduce.

Now, OK, if you believe this reality is good, and living in this meat apparatus is a gift, then having children is consistent with your viewpoint. Maybe you are correct in your assessment of reality, and I am wrong.

But I happen to have concluded that life is a prison to our nature, to this simulation, and to the forced labour of data generation, involuntarily submitting to our biological programming, and the neural pathways that enforce it.

Reality is a prison.

Why doesn’t one with such beliefs opt out of life? Why not suicide? Because one is still subject to biological programming: the fear of the moment of death, not fear of death as a concept, as a long-term conclusion.

And what is antinatalism other than soft suicide, anyway?

Final thoughts

Do you have the right to bring a life here without it having informed consent?

Every damn cosmology of every god-damn religion points to this: a prideful, lonely god who created humans to feed his ego and mitigate his loneliness. This is a projection of the human condition, revealing the dynamics behind our narcissistic need to procreate.

I’m sorry, my agenda is not a self-hating, misanthropic one. Yes, I do believe that humans are a fundamentally flawed species, but this says more about our demiurge than it says about us.

Consider that even the innocence of children, this peak virtue of this reality, does not last, sadly, nor does anything really. So if we must cherish and safeguard virtue, why do we help bring it into existence only to see it become sullied and fail?

The infection and corruption of purity is the peak ugliness we spare ourselves when we choose not to procreate; when we defy the demiurge, the tyrant of our nature. The absolute neutrality of nonexistence — not death after living — but of ‘never to have existed’ is ultimate freedom.

Better to have never known grace than to know it only to see it fester and die.
