Due to an unexpected turn of events during my second week of the REVIVAL retreat, I’ve decided to pivot and change my plans regarding my REVIVAL Journal.

I intended to write up my experience each week during the retreat. However, there was a surprise announcement in this week’s session, which makes it highly likely I will not be able to journal or do videos during June.

So I’ve been sitting with this twist, trying to decide whether to continue with my journal and stop halfway through or nip it in the bud now.

I had already announced on my music channel that I was taking May off from music videos anyway, so I was already half unplugged.

Also, when I thought about giving myself a two-month break from creating any content and just focusing on my healing journey and integrating the retreat, my body relaxed and felt relief. So that was my answer.

The Plan Going Forward

So even though I’ve just relaunched my Substack and YouTube, I will be unplugging from all forms of social media and content creation until the summer to focus on REVIVAL.

I plan to capture my experiences in my physical journal, and I may record some vlog-style videos on my phone if it feels appropriate, but I won’t post anything until I’m back online.

I’m not sure what to expect when I return. Maybe I will want to do a big write-up, a summary reflection video, or write the full story of the things I was releasing. I will see what feels aligned once I’m through the process.

For months at the beginning of this year, I dropped off the internet.

Before that quiet period, those who followed my work knew me primarily through music. I was on the verge of launching a music production community—a project born out of my own desire to “bulldoze” through 30 years of creative blocks, fears, and tech overwhelm. I reasoned that if I forced myself to be accountable to others, my own deep-seated avoidance would magically vanish.

But the nervous system doesn’t work that way.

One afternoon, sitting in the bath, a single word dropped into my awareness with absolute clarity: Embodiment.

It wasn’t just a concept; it was a physical synthesis of my entire life’s hidden threads—my years in intuitive dance, sound healing, and energy regulation. Soon after, a quiet, terrifying question followed: What if you stopped forcing the music community, and just did the embodiment work?

That question was the death knell of my old creative identity. I realized I had to let the old armor crack open to discover what was actually waiting underneath.

Meeting the Shadow: The 10-Day Uncaged Ritual

Driven by a need to deeply immerse myself in my own healing before ever attempting to hold space for others, I found the work of Sarah Lane and . I signed up for Uncaged: Reclaiming the Wild, Worthy Woman Within—a 10-day Spring Equinox initiation.

When I first read the curriculum—filled with mentions of rage rituals and deep dark-feminine shadow work—my immediate ego response was, “Well, that part probably isn’t for me.”

It turned out to be the most radically transformative aspect of the entire experience.

Through potent somatic modalities like BreathTWERK (a deep physical shaking designed to unlock the root, sacral, and solar plexus areas) and safely containerized rage releases, I tapped into currents of energy that had been frozen in my body since early childhood.

For decades, I had carried physical misalignments in my sacral bone and tailbone. By releasing the stored emotional component of that physical trauma, the immediate somatic “offgassing” (the body’s physical release of trapped energy) left me raw, tingling, and profoundly altered.

The Miracle of Worthiness

As the physical intensity of the clearing subsided, I felt a lightness I hadn’t experienced in years. I felt entirely confirmed that the somatic path was my true north. But the universe had one final, shocking lesson in store regarding my capacity to receive.

At the end of the 10 days, the facilitators announced the winner of a full scholarship to their upcoming 10-week deep immersion program, REVIVAL.

At that point in my life, a program costing thousands of dollars was completely out of reach. I was actively struggling just to keep up with daily living expenses, let alone high-end spiritual retreats. Before the integration call, I simply offered up a quiet prayer: Let whoever needs this work the absolute most receive it.

Thirty minutes later, I got the notification. I had won the scholarship.

What followed was a profound exposure of my own worthiness wounds. When the gift was handed to me, my nervous system initially went into shock.

I stayed up until the early hours of the morning, terrified that if I didn’t accept instantly it would be snatched away, while simultaneously feeling a deep disbelief that something this massive could be meant for me.

Learning to step out of a scarcity mindset and gracefully say yes to a miracle was my first true assignment on this new path.

The Turning Point

This initiation completely rewrote the trajectory of my year. It marked the definitive line between who I was as a content creator trying to build communities out of sheer willpower, and who I am becoming as a embodied traveler tracking the sacred currents of the soul.

So if you made it this far (yes, that’s a joke!), then perhaps you are wondering what this is all about?

I get it.

In today’s world, having super-narrow niches empowered by AI to foster resonance within a fraction of a second before the viewer swipes away is what we’ve become accustomed to, right?

But does it really serve us?

I tried fragmenting my multi-passionate life into countless profiles spread across multiple platforms, only to feel spread thin and limited in what I could share within the splintered boundaries of each brand.

I was no longer whole.

Add to this the fast pace of the average attention span. It forced me to compress my preferred long-form expression into a few precious seconds, which left me feeling inauthentic and self-censored.

My creativity was no longer whole.

And when you consider the demands of the algorithms, requiring you to constantly pump out these little digestible snippets that people can quickly scroll by in the vain hope of discoverability, then no wonder I turned to AI to keep up.

My voice was no longer whole.

I did all this for years, and it brought me to a conclusion. Working like this just isn’t me.

A Purpose to the Repurposing

When I selected my Substack subdomain, I picked my first name for a reason.

I already knew back in 2020 that as a creative person, my interests and passions would evolve, and what I wanted to share would too.

I didn’t want to pick a name that would become obsolete if I changed course. So I picked my name rather than a project title.

For those who have been with me from the beginning, you will know this Substack has gone through many revisions.

At first, I stuck to my original plan and wrote whatever came to me, but it fizzled out after a while.

When I started hosting intuitive dance sessions, I decided to repurpose my Substack to put out notifications to those interested in joining the events. Then I reached a point where I had to stop because of health reasons.

Then my Substack morphed into a place to share my music before I got sucked into Instagram and got lost in the algorithm for a few years (I’ve since decided to unplug from it).

Then I decided to rebrand and make this a place where I shared my Tarot By Thea content.

That stuck for a while until I realised that I wasn’t really adding anything to the collective with my readings that were so tied to specific astrological transits that they quickly became out-of-date.

I also had this growing feeling that tarot was in a bubble.

I felt that people would eventually start gravitating towards cultivating their own inner wisdom, rather than outsourcing their knowledge and getting hooked on entertaining readings.

The Tarot By Thea podcast took at least a week out of every month to produce, and I felt like the cost-to-benefit ratio was off.

So I stopped in the summer of 2025, and my Substack just languished on the shelf while I turned my attention to music and YouTube.

Then a one-word download changed my life.

Embodiment

In Feb 2026, I was on the verge of launching a music community when I received a one-word download while in the bath, “embodiment.”

At first, I planned to incorporate it into my music community, since the idea behind it was to help keep people who felt overwhelmed by music technology accountable.

I felt nervous system regulation would work there. I got excited!

But then a week later, a question came to me that was to be the death-knell of my community. “What if you just did embodiment?”

This led me to drop my community like a hot potato (as I had to admit to myself I didn’t actually want to do it - long story, tell you later).

Instead, I went down an embodiment rabbit hole, where I am now in the process of getting certified as a somatic coach. I also attended a 10-day initiation online, through which I won a scholarship for a 10-week somatic retreat starting at the end of April!

This path was not just aligned, it was opening for me!

The Interweaving

When I realised embodiment was something I wanted to pour myself into, I got sucked into the habit of setting up new channels and profiles for the new “brand” I was creating.

But during the 10-day initiation, I could see that even embodiment wasn’t big enough to showcase everything I had to offer.

I still had the same problem.

Then my good friend reminded me why she has a named brand for her new website. That way, no matter what you do, it can always have a home with you.

I found myself back where I started, but I knew myself a whole lot better.

So I decided to go back to my original idea for this Substack and expand it into an umbrella personal brand (to get all business-y on you for a moment!).

For now, the core of my work will focus on embodiment, but I’ll be weaving in music and contemplations on life and spirituality where appropriate. Basically, this is a one-stop shop for everything me.

But there is still a common thread running through it all.

Whether through channeled somatic practices, a cathartic release through song, or reflecting on the deeper spiritual rhythms of life, the goal is the same: Alignment.

By sharing my experiences, I hope it sparks something within you that leads you further back to yourself.

Knowing I did that for someone would certainly make me feel whole.

Behind The Scenes

Producing this episode of the podcast felt like a Chiron initiation in itself. Not only was Chiron still tightly conjunct with the last asteroid in my Aries stellium, but it was also the summer solstice — always a potent time for rest and integration. On top of that, I was moving through a personal transformation, with waves of old grief and outdated versions of myself rising to be seen and released.

Honestly, if it wasn’t for my good friend offering to be my accountability buddy this week, I’m not sure I would have made it. Somehow, between tending to myself and showing up for this work, I got this podcast out — and I’m so glad I did. Especially given the heart of the message in this episode.

The winter solstice is a good time to reflect on the journey you have been through during the year and what you have learned. In this episode, I deep-dive into Spirit's take on 2024. I captured this reading just a few hours before Pluto's final move into Aquarius on the 19th of Nov, 2024. In it, I do a Spirit-led 10-card spread and a Message From The Stars oracle card pull.

One of my goals was to get my sister involved in some of the readings I do on this podcast.

We had discussed arranging this for some time, and finally, the planets aligned for us on the 10:10 portal! So, we thought we would take advantage of the timing of this and do a general reading for the collective to see what Spirit wanted us to know.

In this video, you get not one but TWO readings! I do a tarot reading, and then my sister, Bex (who is also very psychic/intuitive and is learning tarot), does an additional reading afterward. As it turned out, both readings related to each other but had a different focus. Magic! ✨✨✨

We both enjoyed creating this episode so much that we want to do it again, so I hope this will be the first in a series of readings called Psychic SiStars.

I recorded this reading using Telegram. Although I did a test before recording the episode, I was so focused on how the video performed that I overlooked getting the audio levels balanced between us. So, I had to fix it in post-production.

There are moments when Bex’s voice is quiet when we talk over one another, but otherwise, I stabilized her volume level to be closer to mine.

Another issue is our internet connection. We both live in the country, so rural internet coverage is what it is - particularly in the UK, where Bex has no fiber options. There are times when we lag or “rubber band.”

I’ve done my best to improve the audio quality during those times to make the conversation as clear as possible, but some moments are hard to hear.

Next time, I’ll turn my 5G on, and Bex will use her mobile data, so hopefully, the connection will improve. I will also use Riverside.FM instead of Telegram to record the episode.

When you take both our readings together, you could summarise the general theme as “Healing Through Healthier Relationships.” However, each reading had a different slant on this topic.

My reading focused more on the movement towards destined relationships that are a level up from what we are used to - if we can let go of our past mindset and heartbreak around love.

Bex’s reading focused more on the mental, emotional, and spiritual healing needed to move forward and how fostering healthier relationships can be a mirror and safe space through which we can tend to our wounds.

A spontaneous lunar eclipse channeling for the collective. Please take what resonates and leave the rest.

I found myself on an unplanned mini-pilgrimage last week. I had traveled to Copenhagen for an open mic event and found my travel plans interrupted by a local protest. This event had the bus take me a 20-minute walk from the venue when my knee was already struggling.

I had to take many breaks, sitting on anything I could as I walked to the venue. Sometimes, when you do something important, you have to sacrifice for it. I just made it to the sign-up in time, but my knee was not happy.

As a result, I was not fit to travel back home the next day and then return to Copenhagen a couple of days later for another event. Thankfully, my friend allowed me to stay at her place while she was on vacation.

So I was in Copenhagen for the Pisces super full moon/lunar eclipse last week at 4:34 am CEST on September 18th.

As I woke up right in the middle of the eclipse event, I decided to do a channeling to see if anything wanted to come through from Spirit at this time.

When I look back at this recording, this video is a great example of how the light changes intensity and color when I’m channeling (or when Spirit is visiting me). There are no filters or visual manipulation in this video.

The light was more stable at the start of the video before I started channeling, and nothing in the room or outside would have changed the quality of the light. Welcome to my life :)

I found the message to heal our hearts very apt. Last week, I sobbed for two or three days straight as I released loads of things that I had been bottling up. The equinox hit me as well, and I was knocked out and had to rest. Once that passed, I began to feel the relief of both these events.

Four years prior to the exact day I landed back in the UK, I made the choice to reclaim my life. Returning to my homeland recently wasn’t just a family visit—it became a raw, profound pilgrimage into the landscapes of my past, my lineage, and my own body.

We often look at spiritual paths through a romanticized lens. In this reflection, I wanted to pull back the curtain on the actual somatic and psychological labor of integration:

On 17th of June, I was guided to return to my local forest. I hadn’t been in two months due to traveling and my health. I was in two minds because I was in a bit of pain, but I knew it was likely my only chance to get down there before the solstice energies kicked in that I knew would wipe me out.

It had been a grey day on the verge of raining, but as soon as I got my belongings together and stepped out the door, the weather instantly changed, and the sun came out. I knew this was confirmation that it was time for me to go.

When I arrived, the forest had changed so much. I forgot that the insects had returned. I didn’t have any citronella oil on me, so I had to deal with getting bitten.

You can see me, throughout the video, gently guiding them away from my face. Thankfully, they didn’t bite me there, but my legs and arms didn’t get away unscathed. Next time, I’ll remember!

Looking back at the video, one of the insects buzzing around my head looked like a fairy dancing in the light. What do you think?

When I got home and began to work on the video, I noticed my ego coming up and fretting about the message and putting it out in the world.

Sometimes, my insecurities come up after I channel. I wonder if I am adding anything by sharing any of this, but then I remember (in this case) that this is what the forest wanted to bring up. I may use references of my own (or others) to describe what was coming through, but the seed of each point was from the forest.

Then the solstice hit. It hit me hard between the 19th and 22nd, and I needed lots of bed rest and bath time to ground and release. During these times, I feel like I’m in another dimension, and it’s hard to function in everyday 3D life.

At the moment of the solstice, though, I was in meditation, which was energizing and uplifting. I was buzzing late at night, and it took a while before I could wind down and go to bed.

When I finally returned to working on the video, my ego had calmed down a bit, and I could complete it. I hope you find something helpful in this message and the energetic transmission from the forest and that you had a transformative solstice week, too!

Note: I want to mention that this video is northern hemisphere-centric. The forest I was channeling is in summertime right now, so this is why the message focused on that. However, much of the message also applies when you slow down and take time off in winter. So please take what resonates with you and your situation.

Data Loss

If you have been following my Notes here on Substack or my Facebook Group, you will know that about three weeks ago, I had critical data loss on Substack.

I had an old podcast linked to my Substack called Choose To Play Big. I have not published any episodes on this podcast since Feb 2022. When I create a new post on Substack, it would try to add it to my old podcast. Eventually, I knew I would remove it, and three weeks ago, I decided it was finally time.

I was in a coding frenzy, getting some website updates done, and sleeping very little for weeks. In my wired state, I removed my podcast without doing a backup. (And yes, as an ex-IT professional, I absolutely should have known better.) I hit the delete button on the podcast, and all but two of my published posts disappeared along with my podcast.

None of my published posts were associated with the podcast, and it was strange how two posts managed to be left unscathed. It smelled like a bug to me (or something done “by design” that was very unintuitive - it would have been nice to review what it would delete before it was gone forever!).

Waiting For Support

Even though I went into shock and then panic, I knew I had all the content on my computer. However, I didn’t want to recreate it because all the links to the content would change, and my subscribers would get emailed about old content. I wanted to avoid this.

So I looked up how to contact Substack support and found this was my only option:

An AI chatbot. At first, I wasn’t that worried about it. I submitted my issue, and it escalated my chat to support once it identified critical data loss.

Then, one week goes by. I had not received an email ticket in my Inbox, so I didn’t know if the chatbot had created a ticket behind the scenes. I was busy with other things, so I thought I would give their support system some time.

However, the longer it took them to look at the problem, the greater the chance that the backups would be deleted on their end - making recovery impossible.

I asked the chatbot in a second thread how long it typically took for Substack to reply to tickets. The AI told me there was a two-week response time, so I still thought it was possible to get help.

Once two weeks had passed, I started to get concerned. I talked with the chatbot again and gave it as much info as I could think of to make the recovery process easy for the technician who would get my ticket.

Then, I decided to look at their social media and see if there was some other way to contact Substack. While on Facebook, I saw posts from others with the same issue. One person commented that they had been waiting over 8 months and still no response. It became clear that I was on my own.

Alternatives

I love Substack. Its ability to combine blogging, newsletters, and monetization simply and intuitively kept me using the platform for four and a half years. The data loss was the first time I had had an issue with them.

I was considering overlooking the support issue and just restoring the content myself. But it left a bad taste in my mouth. What if I put more content up and I had a problem later down the line?

So, I decided to see if I could find an alternative to make an informed decision on whether to stay or not. At first, I struggled. I looked at membership sites like MightyNetworks and advanced email automation like ConvertKit. But they were a step ahead of where I needed to be, had a steeper learning curve, cost money, and didn’t do everything I wanted.

Then it struck me: Spotify for Podcasters. I couldn’t do the newsletters through them, but I could host and monetize the content with subscriptions. I was blown away by how the platform had improved since I last used it under Anchor.fm.

Then I decided I might as well also upload it to YouTube. I wouldn’t be able to monetize it anytime soon (due to the requirements), but I could maybe start to build a bigger audience there.

The missing link was MailerLite for the newsletter.

I had figured out my alternative ecosystem and decided to go with it.

Migration

I have updated the podcast content to remove any mention of Substack and to blur any imagery in the tarot cards of unclothed people. These platforms have stricter censorship policies, so I have to be more careful from now on. I marked any episode showing one of the six tarot cards with nudity in it as explicit or 18+ to be on the safe side.

I struggled with this issue because I didn’t want to draw on the cards or use sticky notes. These both can change the energy of the cards and can interrupt the flow of the reading. So, I opted for blurring the images in post-production.

Substack will no longer host the Tarot By Thea podcast. I’ve paused my Substack, so paid subscribers will no longer get billed. It is not possible to migrate your paid subscription to Spotify.

Once I meet the threshold on Spotify for monetization (it shouldn’t take long), you can decide if you want to create a new paid subscription on Spotify instead. Once it’s possible to offer subscriptions, the Psychic SiStars series will become premium content.

Thanks to those who supported me on Substack with a paid subscription. It truly means a lot!

All Substack subscribers will be migrated soon to MailerLite for future newsletters. (You will always have the option to unsubscribe.)

I believe the data loss happened for a reason, so I would move to other platforms before too much content was on Substack. This migration would have been much harder if I had 100 episodes instead of five!
