This week begins with some friction as we continue processing what has come into our awareness during this eclipse season. We could feel some tension between wanting to move forward while recognizing that what we want to get started requires more time, patience, or consideration.

The start of the week contains some Saturn conversations. After Tuesday morning, there are no major planetary conversations in the sky, outside of the Moon’s movements. After an intense eclipse season, this spaciousness is probably exactly what we need.

This week, the Moon moves through the integration and release phases of her cycle, helping us to begin to integrate what has come into view and begin making room for what comes next.

Remember, we do not need to understand the entire eclipse story yet. In fact, we probably are not able to. The impact of eclipse seasons play out over the 6 months that follow. This week will give us time to live with whatever has been revealed. We can allow meaning to emerge gradually over time.

Living Under the Moon and Planets

Monday: Waning Gibbous Moon in Aries

The week begins under a waning gibbous Moon in Aries. After the culmination of the watery Pisces Lunar Eclipse, emotions we have been feeling can move more quickly through this fire sign. We may feel an urge to act on whatever the eclipses brought to the surface of our awareness. My advice is to slow down, despite this urge.

The Moon opposes Venus in Libra before becoming void-of-course. This opposition may illuminate tension between our individual needs and the needs of relationships in our lives. We may notice how we have been compromising too much, acting without considering another person, or trying to create harmony before acknowledging what we honestly feel in connection with others.

The Moon is void-of-course from 3:46 PM ET on Monday through 4:01 AM ET on Tuesday. A Void of Course Moon is always another signal form the sky that it is better to pause rather than immediately resolve whatever has emerged.

Jupiter in Leo trines Saturn Rx in Aries at 13°41′ at 6:17 PM ET, under the Void Aries Moon. Jupiter expands while Saturn establishes boundaries and creates structure. This supportive conversation can help us imagine what is possible while remaining honest with ourselves about the time, energy, and commitment required to bring it into form.

Something new may be growing in. your life, but it does not have to happen all at once. Saturn reminds Jupiter that enthusiasm becomes most sustainable when it is supported by intention, patience, and a strong foundation.

Tuesday: Waning Gibbous Moon in Taurus

The Moon enters Taurus at 4:02 AM ET, the sign of her exaltation. A Taurus Moon will always remind us to slow down and return to the body. After the intensity of eclipse week and the desire to act under the Aries Moon, Taurus will help to remind us that some things can’t be rushed.

The Moon joins Chiron Rx in Taurus, squares Pluto Rx in Aquarius, and trines the Sun in Virgo. Feelings may surface around safety, stability, self-worth, or our relationship with change. Pluto can intensify what we feel, but the Sun in Virgo can help us identify practical ways to care for ourselves and whatever requires tending in our lives.

Mars in Cancer squares Saturn Rx in Aries at 13°39′ at 5:58 AM ET. Mars wants to act, move, and respond, but is already frustrated in Cancer. Saturn creates limits, delays, responsibilities, and consequences, but is already frustrated in Aries. This square can feel like pressing the gas and the brake at the same time.

We could be encountering frustration, blocked momentum, added responsibilities, physical fatigue, or circumstances that require us to slow down and reconsider how we are using our energy. If something will not move, forcing it will only leave us more depleted. Any obstacles that surface may be showing us how our approach needs to change.

Notice how much slowing down is a theme of this week so far?

Mercury in Virgo sextiles Mars in Cancer at 13°44′ at 9:21 AM ET. This supportive conversation can help us put words to what we are feeling and direct our energy toward a practical response. We could recognize a useful next step, find a better way to communicate a need, or find a way to work within a limitation instead of fighting against it. This is the best course of action for whatever frustrations arise for you at the start of the week.

Wednesday: Waning Gibbous Moon in Taurus

The Taurus Moon squares Jupiter in Leo, sextiles Mars in Cancer, and trines Mercury in Virgo before becoming void-of-course at 6:46 AM ET.

The square to Jupiter may amplify our emotions, expectations, or desire for comfort. We may want more than we currently have the ability to hold. The Moon’s supportive conversations with Mars and Mercury can help us identify what we actually need and make thoughtful choices about how to direct our energy.

The Moon remains void-of-course from 6:46 AM ET Wednesday through 7:47 AM ET Thursday. This is a very long void period, so Wednesday may feel quieter, slower, or less externally productive than expected. It is not a day to put pressure on accomplishing big tasks.

It is better to use this void to integrate the eclipse emotions and information, complete things that are already underway, and listen to what our bodies have been trying to tell us. Create some space for you on Wednesday.

Thursday: Waning Gibbous Moon in Gemini

The Moon enters Gemini at 7:47 AM ET after the long Taurus Moon’s void. Our energy levels could increase and our attention may turn toward conversation, information, questions, and the desire to understand what has been happening.

The Moon trines Pluto Rx in Aquarius, sextiles Neptune Rx in Aries, and conjoins Uranus in Gemini. These conversations can bring surprising insights, meaningful connections, or a sudden shift in perspective. Something that felt confusing may begin to look different when we approach it from another angle.

With Uranus involved, the day may not follow the expected script. Our minds may move quickly, and our nervous systems may feel more activated. We can remain curious without demanding immediate answers.

Friday: Last Quarter Moon in Gemini

The Last Quarter Moon occurs as the Gemini Moon squares the Sun in Virgo. The last quarter phase brings us to the final major turning point within the lunar cycle. We are supported to begin considering what can be released, revised, or understood differently before the next New Moon.

Gemini gathers information, while Virgo sorts through it. Their square could reveal tension between all the possibilities we can imagine and the particulars that reality is bringing into our field of attention. We may notice how a tendency towards overthinking, excessive analysis, or receiving conflicting information has made it harder to discern what is actually useful.

The Moon also sextiles Saturn Rx in Aries and Jupiter in Leo before squaring Mercury in Virgo. Saturn and Jupiter help us balance possibility with practicality, while Mercury may emphasize the stories we are telling ourselves about what has happened lately.

What information is genuinely helping you move forward? What are you continuing to analyze because you are not yet ready to feel or accept what you already know?

Saturday: Waning Crescent Moon in Gemini and Cancer

While still in Gemini, the Moon trines Venus in Libra before going void-of-course at 4:39 AM ET. This supportive conversation may bring ease to our relationships, conversations, creative work, or inner dialogue.

The Moon remains void-of-course until entering Cancer at 10:31 AM ET. As the Moon moves from air into water, we may shift from thinking about our experiences to feeling them.

The Cancer Moon squares Neptune Rx in Aries, which can make emotional boundaries feel more porous. We may feel especially sensitive to our surroundings or uncertain about what belongs to us and what we are absorbing from others. Rest, grounding, and familiar comforts can help us care for ourselves under this lunar conversation.

Sunday: Waning Crescent Moon in Cancer

The Moon continues through Cancer, squaring Saturn Rx in Aries, sextiling the Sun in Virgo, and meeting Mars.

The square to Saturn may bring us into contact with an emotional limit, responsibility, or unmet need. We may feel the weight of the work that still needs to be done while part of us would rather retreat and rest.

The sextile to the Sun offers practical support. We may not be able to solve everything, but we can care for one immediate need, tend to our environment, or create a little more order around in our lives.

As the Moon conjoins Mars, emotions may become more urgent or reactive. Anger, frustration, protectiveness, or motivation can rise quickly. Rather than judging the feeling, we can listen for the need beneath it. Since this is a waning crescent Moon, we can remind ourselves that not every feeling requires immediate action. We need to create space right now.

Eclipses often reveal what has been obscured from our view. They can bring something that has been developing beneath the surface of our conscious awareness into the light.

This eclipse closes a chapter in time that began nearly two years ago when we experienced the first eclipse in this area of the sky and our respective charts on or around September 17, 2024 (depending on your timezone).

We likely felt or sensed that something was changing. We likely have felt it and sensed that something was changing. We may have received dreams, signs, synchronicities, or intuitive nudges about what we needed in order to grow that made little logical sense.

Since that time, we have hopefully been following the breadcrumbs with trust in our hearts. It was really all we could do with the South Node’s transit through Virgo and the North Node’s transit through Pisces.

As we arrive at the final Pisces eclipse of this cycle, something that has been developing may finally break through. What we have been sensing may become visible. What we intuitively knew may be confirmed. Missing information or data may arrive. Seemingly separate experiences could suddenly connect into a larger pattern we now understand.

This eclipse may bring one of those unmistakable moments when we look back at everything that has unfolded over the last two years and realize: “Oh. This is where it was all leading.”

As always, instead of asking, “What will happen?” I encourage you to ask yourself: “What am I already noticing in my life?” This brings you back into the present moment, where your agency lives. Trust yourself to respond to whatever is revealed. If you feel there is a reason for celebration, then absolutely celebrate!

As the final sign of the zodiac, Pisces is connected with:

• intuition

• surrender

• dissolution

• imagination

• dreams

• compassion

• interconnectedness

• the collective unconscious

• things we just know without knowing how we know it

Pisces reminds us that there are timelines we can sense before we are living them. Not all information arrives through facts, plans, or logical explanations. Some information arrives through feelings in the body or through dreams, symbols, synchronicities, and sensing recurring patterns. Piscean knowing exists long before the rational mind understands why.

The North Node’s journey through Pisces invited us to strengthen our relationship with these ways of knowing. The North Node represents the energy we are learning to participate in. It wants us to move beyond what is already familiar and develop a new relationship with the part of the zodiac it is moving through.

During the North Node’s transit through Pisces, we had to become more comfortable with:

• uncertainty

• not having a complete plan

• moving without every answer

• trusting what we cannot yet see

• listening to our intuition

• allowing life to unfold outside our preferred planned timelines

• recognizing that living inside mystery does not always mean we are lost

Pisces energy does not reveal the entire path, but it absolutely offers the next breadcrumb if we learn how to listen in a Piscean way. The growth of the last two years has been determined by whether we trust ourselves enough to listen this way and then follow it.

The South Node’s Transit Through Virgo

While the North Node in Pisces has been leading us toward intuition, trust, and surrender, the South Node in Virgo was revealing our accumulated relationship with planning, preparation, analysis, and control.

Virgo helps us observe what is happening, gather information, distinguish one thing from another, and determine what practical action is needed.

We need Virgo. I love Virgo.

This nodal cycle was not about erasing or abandoning logic, discernment, or our sense of practical responsibility. I think it was helping us notice when these valuable abilities become ways of protecting ourselves from uncertainty.

Discernment can become over-analysis.

Preparation can become a means to control.

Practical responsibility can become a form of hyper-vigilance.

The desire to make an informed decision can reinforce the belief that we are not allowed to move until every question has been answered. This, too, can become a means of self-protection.

Many of us encountered experiences during this cycle that could not be solved through logic alone.

We may have had to:

• proceed without a complete plan

• make choices without having every piece of information

• release old timelines that were steeped in control

• stop searching for the one perfect answer

• trust a feeling we could not prove

• accept that clarity does not always arrive before we take the next step

The South Node in Virgo was helping us release the idea that certainty is the same thing as safety and a valid means of self-protection.

The North Node in Pisces was teaching us that we can trust ourselves within uncertainty.

Return to September 2024

The first eclipse in this area of the zodiac occurred on September 17, 2024.

I encourage you to think back to that time. Go back to your old journals or scroll through your photo roll on your phone.

What was beginning to shift in your life?

What were you feeling before you could explain it?

Did you have to proceed without certainty in some area of your life?

You may not remember just one dramatic event occurring around the eclipse itself. Eclipse stories unfold over time. While one eclipse may activate a six-month chapter, its meaning can continue developing across an entire series.

Since then, you may have received information one breadcrumb at a time:

• a recurring thought or feeling

• a dream you could not forget

• an unexpected conversation

• a pattern that became increasingly difficult to ignore

• a door that closed before another one opened

• a path that made little logical sense but continued to call you forward

What have you repeatedly been shown since September 2024?

What do you understand now that you could not understand then?

The Moon Eclipsed

A Full Moon occurs when the Sun and Moon stand opposite one another, bringing something into the light. During a Lunar Eclipse, Earth moves between the Sun and Moon, temporarily blocking the Sun’s light from reaching the Moon.

Symbolically, our earthly experience interrupts the usual exchange between the conscious and subconscious, the visible and invisible, logic and intuition.

The Pisces Moon represents the emotional body, intuitive awareness, memory, dreams, and what exists beneath conscious awareness. The Virgo Sun represents consciousness, discernment, observation, and our ability to recognize what is happening within our lived experience.

This eclipse may reveal:

• what you sensed before you had proof

• what has been developing beneath your conscious awareness

• a pattern connecting experiences that previously seemed unrelated

• the meaning behind a series of synchronicities or intuitive nudges

• the actual information or data that confirms something you already knew

• why and where you were being redirected

• how accepting uncertainty taught you to trust yourself

• how you were always being guided even when you felt lost

The revelation may arrive through some kind of external confirmation. It could arrive as a conversation that provides the missing context. Perhaps it is new information that can change how you understand the past. Maybe you are finally speaking a truth aloud. For some of us, the breakthrough may be realizing that our intuition has been communicating with us all along.

What if the revelation is not only what becomes visible, but the realization that you were able to trust what you could not yet see?

Mercury Holds a Key

Mercury in Virgo stands opposite the eclipsed Moon. Only hours before the eclipse, Mercury was renewed in the heart of the Sun in Virgo, the sign of both its domicile and exaltation.

This is a strong and refreshed Mercury. Mercury in Virgo observes carefully. It notices meaningful details, recognizes patterns, separates what is useful from what is distracting, and finds language for naming what is.

The Pisces Moon may reveal what we have sensed. I think Mercury in Virgo may help us understand it.

Mercury could deliver:

• a missing fact

• an important conversation

• unexpected context

• a revealing message

• language for something we have struggled to articulate

• a connection between seemingly unrelated experiences

• an unmistakable moment of clarity that just arrives

Something that previously existed only as a feeling may suddenly make logical sense. We may finally understand why something unfolded the way it did.

Mercury’s role does not mean intuition requires logical validation before we can trust it. The deeper revelation may be that we received the truth intuitively long before the evidence arrived. Maybe it is a moment when we say, “Yes, I was right.” However I think the greater revelation is realizing that we do not always need proof before we trust ourselves.

The proof may arrive now, but you have been following the truth for much longer.

Pisces and Virgo are sister signs. Pisces feels the knowing. Virgo examines its pieces. Together, they help us recognize the whole.

A Mutable T-Square

The Pisces Moon opposes the Virgo Sun and Mercury while both ends of this opposition square Uranus in Gemini. This creates a mutable T-square in the sky.

Mutable signs help us adapt, revise, reinterpret, and respond to changing circumstances. They arrive when one season is ending and another is preparing to begin. This configuration brings together three different elements and three different ways of receiving information:

Pisces as Mutable Water: What do you feel, sense, dream, or intuitively know?

Virgo as Mutable Earth: What details, evidence, or practical information are becoming available?

Gemini as Mutable Air: What new perspective, message, or unexpected connection circulates and changes the story?

I believe it is Uranus in Gemini that may bring the breakthrough. A piece of information could arrive suddenly. A conversation may reveal something surprising. We may make a connection we had not previously considered or see a familiar experience from an entirely new perspective.

What was hidden beneath the surface may rise quickly into conscious awareness.

There may be an element of “Wait. What?” followed by “Oh. Now everything makes sense.”

Uranus does not always deliver information calmly. A mutable T-square can generate mental and emotional overstimulation. Multiple pieces of a story may appear to be moving all at once. We may feel pressure to immediately interpret what is happening, decide what it means, and determine what to do next.

Earlier this week, I pulled the Lightning Bolt and the Two Worlds cards together from my Akashic Tarot Deck. They feel like a perfect reflection of Uranus’s role in this eclipse.

The Lightning Bolt is the sudden illumination, the breakthrough that changes what we can see. Two Worlds reminds us that we may be standing between the reality we have known and the one that is emerging.

Perhaps the revelation is what allows us to recognize which world we are now prepared to inhabit. We do not need to force the revelation into a perfect plan. We just need to notice what has been revealed.

Sagittarius as the Release Point

The open point of this mutable T-square is in early Sagittarius.

Sagittarius offers somewhere for the tension among Pisces, Virgo, and Gemini to move.

Pisces feels it. Virgo examines it. Gemini circulates it.

Sagittarius helps us zoom out far enough to recognize the meaning.

Sagittarius is concerned with perspective, belief, meaning, truth, and the direction our lives are taking. It takes individual facts and experiences and places them within a larger story.

The Sagittarius release point may help us us understand:

• the larger pattern

• how the story has changed

• the truth about the lessons we have been learning

• how to keep going from here and remain hopeful

Sagittarius does not require every detail before it moves toward the horizon. Its invitation is to trust what has been revealed enough to continue onward, treating ourselves as explorers of our own lives. We just have to believe in ourselves.

A Conversation with Chiron Retrograde in Taurus

The Pisces Moon also forms a sextile with Chiron retrograde in Taurus. Chiron brings our attention to the wounds that have shaped us and the wisdom we have developed through living with them.

In Taurus, Chiron has been helping us examine wounds connected to:

• worth

• safety

• stability

• the body, specifically the throat

• receiving

• having enough

• trusting ourselves to sustain what matters

Since Chiron is retrograde, this healing process may connect us with something from the past. The eclipse may reveal how an old wound has shaped the way we respond to uncertainty. Perhaps our need for proof, plans, and predictable outcomes developed because uncertainty once made us feel unsafe. Maybe we learned at some point that we could not trust our intuitive knowing, so we needed data to trust ourselves to make decisions. We may have learned to believe that if we could anticipate every possible outcome, prepare for every problem, or make the perfect decisions, we could protect ourselves from disappointment.

But certainty is never a guarantee of safety.

I feel this sextile between the Pisces Moon and Chiron in Taurus creates an opportunity to develop safety within ourselves, even when life remains uncertain. We do not need to know everything that will happen to trust our ability to respond to it. We do not need to see the entire path to recognize the ground beneath our feet.

Perhaps healing now means recognizing that you can trust what you feel without abandoning your need for discernment. You can remain open to mystery while continuing to care for your body, your resources, and your earthly life.

Can you create enough safety in the present moment to listen to what your intuition has been trying to tell you?

Jupiter Rules the Eclipse

The traditional ruler of this Pisces Lunar Eclipse is Jupiter in Leo. Jupiter expands whatever it touches. Through expansion, it helps us recognize meaning, discover wisdom and possibility, and develop a larger understanding of our lived experience.

In Leo, Jupiter is expanding our relationship with:

• creativity

• confidence

• courage

• visibility

• joy

• leadership

• authentic self-expression

• the unique gifts we are here to share

The revelation brought by this eclipse may help us understand more about who we are and what wants to be expressed through us. Perhaps the breadcrumbs have been leading us toward a more authentic life. Perhaps what has dissolved during the Pisces–Virgo nodal cycle created space for a part of us that had been waiting to emerge. Maybe the lesson was never only about trusting where life was leading, but about trusting ourselves enough to follow what our hearts were calling us toward, even if it made “no sense”.

At the time of the eclipse, Jupiter in Leo forms a trine with Saturn retrograde in Aries. In Aries, Saturn is helping us develop self-leadership, self-authorship, and the courage to act from our own authority.

Jupiter shows us what is possible. Saturn wants to know what we are willing to do with that possibility. This trine suggests that these eclipse revelations have somewhere to go. The new understanding can become part of the life we are actively creating. That is so exciting to me.

We do not need to respond with urgency. Saturn is retrograde, so we may need time to reflect, revise an existing plan, or reconsider how we want to proceed.

This eclipse may reveal:

• where you are ready to believe in yourself

• what wants to be expressed through you more authentically

• how learning to live with uncertainty has strengthened your agency

• how you are now prepared to lead your life differently

• which possibilities are worthy of your commitment

• how the path behind you prepared you for what comes next

What do you understand now that gives you the courage to move forward?

The Eight of Cups Decan

This eclipse arrives in the Eight of Cups decan of Pisces. This card literally has an eclipse in the imagery. In the Eight of Cups, something has reached emotional completion.

The figure in the card walks away from eight carefully arranged cups. We must note that the cups are not destroyed. They still contain meaning, emotions, memories, and the figure’s lived experience up until this moment. Yet something inside the figure senses that their journey must continue beyond “what is.” It is not a rejection of what has been, but a recognition that what once held a sense of emotional fulfillment no longer does.

Sometimes we walk a path we cannot fully see because remaining where we are would require us to ignore what we already know inside.

I feel the imagery of the Eight of Cups reflects one of the larger lessons of this Pisces nodal cycle: following an internal calling without always receiving external confirmation that we are making the correct choice.

We may not have known where the path was leading. We only knew we could not continue pretending we had not heard the internal call.

This eclipse may help us understand why we had to leave something behind, why a particular path ended, or why our hearts continued pulling us toward something we could not explain.

The revelation may bring closure, but closure does not mean that every question will be answered. By now we know that we don’t need every answer to trust where we feel called to walk.

The current lunar cycle has been building since the Solar Eclipse in Leo on August 12. Eclipse seasons have a way of revealing what is changing, emerging, or asking for our participation now and over the next six months. Now, the Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on August 28 brings something to a point of culmination, release, or realization.

The week begins under a void-of-course Capricorn Moon, giving us time to tend to practical matters without forcing momentum. As the Moon moves into Aquarius on Tuesday morning, the energy begins to shift. New perspectives, unexpected insights, and supportive connections may help us see our eclipse season circumstances in a new light.

Mercury’s very powerful cazimi in Virgo on Thursday offers a potential moment of clarity within the uncertainty of this eclipse season. Information may surface. Something may click into place. We may understand what needs our attention, what requires adjustment, or what we can no longer manage in the same way we have been.

Of course, clarity does not necessarily mean certainty. The Lunar Eclipse in Pisces arrives opposing Mercury and the Sun in Virgo and squaring Uranus in Gemini. This will likely bring surprising revelations, potential disruptions, nervous-system activation, and changes we may not have been anticipating. This does not need to be something we are frightened about. It is my belief that whatever comes up under this eclipse is helping us close out an 18-month chapter of time. The North Node’s transit through Pisces has been teaching us how to loosen our grip on the need to understand everything immediately. Some things must be felt, witnessed, or released before they can be fully understood.

Without a doubt, this is a week of culmination and change. Something is becoming visible, but the entire story will continue unfolding over the next six months. Pay attention to what surfaces in your life without demanding an immediate answer from it.

Living Under the Moon and Planets

This week, the Moon moves from the Waxing Gibbous phase into the Lunar Eclipse Full Moon before entering her Waning Gibbous phase.

The Waxing Gibbous Moon leads us through the final stages of preparation before culmination. The intentions, developments, and changes experienced during the Solar Eclipse in Leo are continuing to grow. We may feel pressure to refine, adjust, or respond to what has emerged. This phase can carry a sense that something is building, even if we cannot yet see exactly what it is becoming.

The Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Pisces brings the lunar cycle—and this eclipse story—to a point of revelation. Full Moons illuminate, but eclipses reveal things that are often out of our control. Emotions will feel heightened. Something may be released. A truth, feeling, ending, or possibility may become more visible.

After the eclipse, the Moon enters her Waning Gibbous phase. This is when we can begin making meaning from what has occurred by noticing what the eclipse brought up in our lives.

Monday

The Moon moves through Capricorn in her Waxing Gibbous phase and remains void-of-course throughout the day. This is a day for tending to what is already in motion. Complete small and manageable tasks, organize your surroundings, and work with what is directly in front of you. There is no need to force productivity, though. Rest and preparation can also be responsible choices today.

Tuesday

The Waxing Gibbous Moon enters Aquarius at 5:02 AM ET. She will square Chiron Rx in Taurus, conjoin Pluto Rx in Aquarius, sextile Neptune Rx in Aries, and trine Uranus in Gemini. She’s busy.

The Moon’s conversation with Chiron may bring awareness to wounds or tenderness connected to safety, stability, belonging, or self-worth. Her conjunction with Pluto intensifies what we are feeling this eclipse season and may reveal deeper emotional patterns running beneath the surface of our awareness.

At the same time, supportive conversations with Neptune and Uranus could help us imagine new possibilities and see our circumstances from a different perspective. An insight, conversation, or unexpected development may interrupt an old pattern. As I always recommend, try to remain curious about what becomes visible without feeling pressured to resolve it immediately.

Wednesday

The Waxing Gibbous Moon continues moving through Aquarius as she opposes Jupiter in Leo, sextiles Saturn Rx in Aries, and trines Venus in Libra. The Moon becomes void-of-course again at 5:59 PM ET.

The opposition between the Moon and Jupiter may amplify our emotions, desires, and need to feel recognized. We may find ourselves negotiating the relationship between our individual self-expression and collective belonging. We may feel we need more room to be fully ourselves while also feeling called to consider our relationships with and impact on others.

Supportive conversations with Saturn and Venus offer grounding, perspective, and relational support. We may find it easier to communicate thoughtfully, establish a boundary, or connect with people who allow us to feel both accepted and free.

Once the Moon becomes void-of-course, it is best to allow the day to begin winding down. Don’t overpack your Wednesday evening. The eclipse is approaching. We need all the rest we can get because our physical and emotional systems will be very sensitive at this time.

Thursday

The Moon remains void-of-course in Aquarius until entering Pisces at 3:04 PM ET. Once in Pisces, the Waxing Gibbous Moon sextiles Chiron Rx in Taurus.

Today, Mercury reaches the heart of the Sun at 4°26′ Virgo at 1:10 PM ET. Mercury is in its most powerful territory in Virgo, as this is the sign of its domicile and exaltation. This is a very powerful cazimi moment to be aware of, happening just under 12 hours before the eclipse perfects.

This could offer us a powerful moment of illumination. Something may become clearer regarding our routines, responsibilities, health, work, communication, or the details we have been attempting to organize. We may receive important information or recognize what needs to be refined.

Virgo reminds us that clarity often arrives through paying close attention. Notice the conversation, realization, detail, or piece of information that stands out. Keep your eyes on the Virgo, Pisces, and Gemini houses of your chart today.

As the Moon moves through Pisces and approaches the eclipse, the emotional atmosphere becomes more porous. The Moon’s supportive conversation with Chiron may create space for compassion toward the vulnerable places within us, but it could also bring healing tears. Give yourself permission to feel without trying to immediately analyze everything that arises.

Friday

The Lunar Eclipse Full Moon occurs at 4°54′ Pisces at 12:12 AM ET.

Mercury in Virgo squares Uranus in Gemini at 5°37′ at 3:25 AM ET, followed by the Sun in Virgo squaring Uranus at 5°37′ at 6:18 PM ET.

The Pisces Moon opposes the Sun and Mercury in Virgo, squares Uranus in Gemini, and trines Mars in Cancer. After a lot of conversation, the Moon becomes void-of-course at 12:13 PM ET.

The Lunar Eclipse brings something in the Pisces-ruled areas of our lives to a point of emotional, spiritual, or energetic culmination. Pisces governs the parts of life that cannot always be controlled, categorized, or explained. Something may be ready to dissolve, be released, or understood through feeling rather than logic.

The Virgo–Pisces axis teaches us to hold the relationship between discernment and surrender, the details and the whole, what we can tend and what we must entrust to something larger than ourselves.

With the Sun and Mercury squaring Uranus, information or developments may arrive unexpectedly. Plans may change. Our minds and nervous systems may feel overstimulated. Something that disrupts our expectations may also free us from an outdated understanding. Mars in Cancer offers some emotional courage to tend to what comes up and the instinct to protect what matters.

I highly recommend giving yourself some quiet time on Friday and Saturday, if possible. The energy is going to feel very unstable, and we need to do what we can to support our nervous systems. There are things we can do. Find time to practice breathwork, ground yourself, or do whatever helps your body feel supported.

Saturday

The Moon remains void-of-course in Pisces throughout most of the day before entering Aries at 10:38 PM ET.

After the eclipse perfected, the Moon entered her Waning Gibbous phase, helping us begin the process of integration. This is not a day for making major decisions about what the eclipse has revealed. The Pisces Moon may leave us feeling tired, tender, reflective, or emotionally saturated. Give yourself permission to move slowly and allow your experience to settle.

Rest, create, journal, spend time near water, or engage in practices that help you reconnect with your body. The energy of the eclipse may still be unfolding within your body.

Sunday

As the Waning Gibbous Moon moves through Aries, she conjoins Neptune Rx and Saturn Rx in Aries, sextiles Pluto Rx in Aquarius and Uranus in Gemini, and squares Mars in Cancer. She is busy again.

The Aries Moon may bring an impulse to move, decide, or begin again. The Moon’s conversations with Neptune and Saturn bring our emotional attention to a new vision that has been emerging since February. What wants to move through you now, and what will it require from you?

Supportive conversations with Pluto and Uranus encourage changes and new approaches. However, the Moon’s square to Mars may create frustration, defensiveness, or tension between the desire to act independently and the need to protect our emotional security.

Move your body and give your feelings a constructive outlet over the next two days. We are approaching a tougher astrological transit, with Mars in Cancer applying to square Saturn Rx in Aries. This transit perfects on Tuesday, September 1, at 6:01 AM ET. I will write about it more in next week’s post, but in my practice with astrology, I often find that a transit is felt most strongly while it is applying, so I wanted to give you the heads up this week.

Mars wants to act, move, and respond, but is already frustrated in Cancer. Saturn creates limits, delays, responsibilities, and consequences, but is also frustrated in Aries. Neither planet can operate as it naturally prefers, so their square can feel like pressing the gas and the brake at the same time. We may encounter blocked momentum, added responsibilities, physical fatigue, or circumstances that require us to slow down and reconsider how we are using our energy.

With Mars in Cancer, our actions may be motivated by emotion, protection, or defensiveness, while Saturn Rx in Aries asks us to examine how we assert ourselves and whether our actions are sustainable.

We will likely feel this tension building as the Moon moves through Aries on Sunday and Monday. Pay attention to if you feel rushed, restricted, or easily frustrated. A delay may not mean that you are on the wrong path. It just may require you to pace yourself, strengthen your foundation, or to wait before moving forward.

This week invites us into the tending part of the eclipse process.

Eclipse seasons do not always deliver us definitive answers. They usually reveal the ways our lives are already changing. They bring our awareness to stories, patterns, relationships, desires, and possibilities that have been developing beneath the surface.

This week, the Moon moves through building phases of the eclipse season’s lunar cycle: the waxing crescent, first quarter, and waxing gibbous phases.

These are the parts of the lunar cycle when we begin working with what has emerged. We take small steps. We make adjustments. We notice what is asking for our attention.

The First Quarter Moon in Scorpio wants us to meet ourselves honestly. Growth often requires transformation. Transformation requires us to engage with the deeper layers of our experience: our attachments, our fears, our desires, and the parts of ourselves that are ready to evolve.

Scorpio is a sign highly attuned to the art of alchemy: the process of transforming one thing to another, which requires time and faith in universal forces. This Scorpio First Quarter Moon wants to help us compost what the eclipse season wants us to compost in our lives.

As the Moon moves into Sagittarius and Capricorn, we expand our perspective, reconnect with possibility, and begin considering what structures, practices, and choices can support the new future we are creating.

Astrologically, this week brings the end of Leo season and the beginning of Virgo season. The Leo Sun’s direct meeting with the South Node invites us to reflect on the identities and expressions we may be ready to loosen (which the Leo eclipse likely already revealed to us), while the Sun’s movement into Virgo turns our attention toward refinement, embodiment, and intentional practices.

The main question to contemplate this week: Now that something has been revealed, how do I tend to the things that will help me grow?

Living Under the Moon

Libra Waxing Crescent Moon

Monday until 5:36 PM ET

The week begins with the Moon in Libra, which puts emotional focus on our relationships, our desires for harmony, and the ways we seek balance.

Early in the morning, the Libra Moon sextiles the Sun in Leo, creating a supportive conversation between our emotional world and our creative self-expression. There is a beautiful invitation to connect with what feels joyful, meaningful, and authentic.

The Moon is void of course most of the day, from 7:30 AM ET until 5:36 PM ET, when she enters Scorpio.

Monday’s astrology also carries a theme of learning how to live with uncertainty.

Mars in Cancer squares Neptune retrograde in Aries at 3°59’ (5:53 AM ET). This aspect can feel like a moment when our usual instincts around action and protection become less clear. We may notice how we are acting from intuition versus how we are acting from fear, urgency, or uncertainty.

Mercury in Leo trines Saturn retrograde in Aries at 14°20’ (11:35 AM ET), offering a grounding influence. This can support clearer thinking, meaningful conversations, and the ability to give structure to our ideas.

Venus in Libra sextiles Jupiter in Leo at 10°37’ (12:10 PM ET), bringing a beautiful invitation toward connection, creativity, pleasure, and generosity. I love this aspect conversation between the greater and lesser benefic planets.

When the Moon enters Scorpio, the emotional atmosphere of the day deepens. The Moon opposes Chiron in Taurus, bringing awareness to places where vulnerability, security, and self-worth intersect.

Scorpio Waxing Crescent Moon → First Quarter Moon

Monday at 5:36 PM ET through Thursday at 4:30 AM ET

A Scorpio Moon always invites us beneath the surface. The Scorpio Moon will help us begin to work with what the eclipse revealed. We will be able to sit with what was revealed and unearth the truth.

On Tuesday, the Moon squares Pluto retrograde in Aquarius, trines Mars in Cancer, and squares Jupiter in Leo.

Emotionally, this can feel like a day of intensity and movement. We may notice how we are being asked to transform old patterns while honoring our emotional needs.

On Wednesday, the Moon squares Mercury in Leo, squares the Sun in Leo, and squares the Lunar Nodes in Leo and Aquarius.

The First Quarter Moon arrives amidst this tension, reminding us that growth often requires choice. Something may ask to be adjusted, released, or approached differently.

The Moon is void of course from 10:46 PM ET Wednesday until 4:30 AM ET Thursday, which is perfect for a restorative night’s sleep after some probable emotional turbulence during the day.

Sagittarius Waxing Gibbous Moon

Thursday at 4:30 AM ET through Saturday at 4:59 PM ET

The Sagittarius Moon shifts our emotional landscape toward perspective, exploration, and possibility.

After moving through Scorpio’s depths, Sagittarius helps us zoom out. We may feel ready to ask: what does this mean? where is this leading me? what new understanding is emerging?

On Thursday, the Moon sextiles Pluto retrograde in Aquarius, trines Neptune retrograde in Aries, and opposes Uranus in Gemini. This could bring unexpected insights, shifts in perspective, and moments when our intuition can make sense of new data and information.

Friday’s Sagittarius Moon creates supportive trines with Jupiter in Leo, Saturn retrograde in Aries, and Mercury in Leo, offering opportunities for confidence, clarity, and integration.

Venus in Libra opposes Saturn retrograde in Aries at 14°11’ (8:45 AM ET). This aspect helps us explore the relationship between desire and responsibility, connection and autonomy, pleasure and commitment. What relationships, values, and choices feel ready to mature in your life?

On Saturday, the Sagittarius Moon trines Mercury in Leo and the Sun in Leo before becoming void of course from 4:30 PM until 4:59 PM ET, which is a very short period of time for a Void Moon. We may not even notice it.

Capricorn Waxing Gibbous Moon

Saturday at 4:59 PM ET through the rest of the weekend

The Moon enters Capricorn as the Sun prepares to close out Leo season.

This brings a grounded, practical emotional energy. We begin thinking about what can be built, sustained, and supported.

The Capricorn Moon trines Chiron retrograde in Taurus, offering opportunities for healing through patience, stability, and tending to what matters.

Saturday is a significant transition point as the Sun conjuncts the South Node at 29°49’ Leo (6:03 PM ET).

This feels like an opportunity for reflection around identity, creativity, recognition, and the ways we have learned to shine. These were the themes of the solar eclipse. The South Node does not mean something is “bad” or needs to disappear. It shows us what is familiar, what we may have relied on, and invites us to relate to it differently.

The Sun enters Virgo at 10:18 PM ET, beginning a new solar season. Happy Solar return season to all Virgo Suns! YAY!

Virgo season brings us back to the body, the everyday, the practices, and the small choices that create meaningful change over time.

On Sunday, the Capricorn Moon squares Neptune retrograde in Aries, opposes Mars in Cancer, and squares Saturn retrograde in Aries. This may bring us into a difficult conversation between responsibility and sensitivity, structure and surrender, action and rest.

As we move through this week after the first eclipse, we don’t need to have everything figured out. Continue tending to yourself and what you are noticing is changing in your life so you can participate in what the universe is helping you become.

A helpful question to ask yourself during eclipse season is “What am I already noticing in my life?” This is a better question than, “What will happen?” as that creates anticipation that fuels anxiety. Trust yourself to respond to whatever unfolds. That is where your agency lives.

This South Node Solar Eclipse in Leo arrives on August 12, 2026 at 1:36 PM ET. It is an invitation to examine the stories we have carried about ourselves, the identities we have performed, the roles we have inhabited, the ways we lead and are led, and the ways we have learned to seek recognition, validation, or belonging.

Leo is the sign of the Sun.

It represents:

• the creative self

• the enduring flame

• visibility

• the courage to express

• the heart’s language

Every sign has a shadow. We are all made of light and shadow. To me, the shadow of Leo is not about wanting to shine. We all deserve to shine. We all came here with something unique to offer. As a Leo Moon myself, I am quite familiar with the light and the shadow of Leo.

What happens when we live in a world where only a select few are taught they are allowed to shine? What happens when visibility, recognition, and success become things we believe we must earn through performance rather than expressions of our own inherent worth?

The shadow is not the desire to be seen. The shadow is believing we must perform our light before we are allowed to claim it for ourselves. We don’t need to perform in order to deserve love, recognition, or belonging.

The South Node’s transit through Leo may have us examining over time:

• The relationship between being seen and being loved

• The relationship between recognition and belonging

• The relationship between authentic self-expression and wanting to fit in

• The relationship between leadership as domination and leadership as self-authorship

• The relationship between the individual and the various collective impact each individual has on the systems at large

The South Node as it relates to time for me is accumulated time. It is a representation of everything that has already been lived. It is the lessons we have accumulated and the experiences that shaped us over time.

Sometimes we have to release what has been in order to continue growing. The South Node assists us in doing that.

The Sun Eclipsed by the Moon

The ruler of this eclipse is the Sun in Leo, which is being covered by the Moon. Symbolically, the conscious self is temporarily obscured by the emotional body, the subconscious, the memories we carry, and the stories that live beneath awareness.

Can you acknowledge who you have been so it can inform who you are becoming…keeping in mind we were not meant to remain stagnant? All we have experienced so far still informs where we are going next.

This eclipse may illuminate:

• an identity you have outgrown

• a role you no longer want to play

• a version of yourself that was built around being needed, admired, or understood

• a creative expression that wants to evolve

• an old story about what makes you worthy of love, admiration, respect

• people you looked to lead you instead of leading yourself

As the Moon blocks the Sun’s light, it reveals what has been blocking us from our truest authentic expression. The Moon has a way of pulling this kind of information from the depths of our subconscious and from our memories.

Are you shining because it is an authentic expression of your heart, or because you are trying to maintain a version of yourself that you believe needs to be seen?

Can you trust your own light when the people, systems, or relationships around you do not reflect it back in the way you hoped?

This South Node Solar Eclipse in Leo invites us to examine the relationship between the Sun and the ego.

The Sun represents the conscious self, our vitality, creativity, and the unique expression of life moving through us. However, the ego can attach itself to certain identities, roles, and stories about who we believe we need to be.

The ego is not something we need to destroy. It is an important part of our human experience. It helps us navigate the world, develop a sense of self, and understand our place within it. However, when we become attached to a fixed identity, the ego can begin protecting a version of ourselves that keeps us from growing.

The South Node in Leo will help us release what has become an attachment rather than an authentic expression. This is not a call to diminish ourselves or stop shining. It is an invitation to let go of the need to perform our light for the variety of reasons, we as humans, feel we need to perform or mask our authenticity in order to belong.

Since Leo answers to the Sun, this eclipse invites us to reflect on the Sun in our own charts. The Sun represents the conscious self, the creative force moving through us, and the ways we are learning to express our unique light.

The South Node at 29° Leo

At the time of this eclipse, the South Node is at 29° Leo, the final degree of completion and culmination. This feels significant to me because 29° Leo is about recognizing the old and completed stories about leading, shining, and creating, and what they have taught us.

We are no longer the people who need these stories moving forward.

Aspects to the Eclipse

This eclipse is standing on its own. It’s not having any major conversations with other planets in the sky.

The eclipse separates from a trine with Saturn retrograde in Aries. This aspect between the Sun in Leo and Saturn Rx in Aries was exact on the evening of August 6th. This separating conversation is helping us redefine leadership, courage, and our ability to take courageous yet measured action. We are not talking about performative leadership, proving who is right, or fighting to be first.

This is self-agency and self-leadership.

I think the maturest expression of Aries thinks: “I trust myself enough to act.”

I feel it is helping us revisit old definitions of courage, leadership, and self-authorship. Maybe leadership we have been used to engaging with or enacting was about or determined by:

• who is the loudest

• who is the strongest

• who never seems to need help

• who has all the “answers”

• who is the one who always shines

• people giving their power away to the “guru”

• the patriarchy

Perhaps leadership now is moving away from the archetype of domination and what many cultures have historically associated with patriarchal structures and toward hopefully a more relational, interdependent model of authority.

I’d like to think that perhaps the new frontier of courageous leadership is now becoming:

• the courage to listen before acting

• the willingness to take responsibility without needing control over others

• the ability to honor your own authority and not outsourcing your authority to others

• the humility to remain a student of life while sharing what you know based on your personal lived experience

• the capacity to create space for others to shine alongside you

• the matriarchy

This trine I do believe suggests the release happening through this eclipse has purpose. Something is being cleared so something more authentic can take shape.

Jupiter is close to this eclipse, but too far away to be considered in conjunction. Jupiter in Leo is amplifying everything Leo represents in our lived experience of this time period:

• Creation

• Leadership

• Expression

• Confidence

• Joy

• Visibility

Jupiter does not only make things bigger. In making something bigger, Jupiter reveals wisdom. With Jupiter nearby, this eclipse may expose where your desire for expansion or self-authorship has been limited by an outdated self-concept.

How have you been trying to become more of yourself while still holding onto a version of yourself that has already expired…or someone else’s ideas about who you are or what is right?

The irony: Sometimes the biggest expansion happens when we stop trying to maintain the identity we have already outgrown.

The Rest of the Sky Around the Eclipse

The eclipse itself is powerful, but the surrounding sky is how I see the story expanding into multiple areas of our lives.

Honestly, the chart of this eclipse is wild, so I want to share it with you here. There is so much air + fire. So much movement. So much perspective. So much is circulating.

The grand air trine between Venus in Libra, Uranus in Gemini, and Pluto in Aquarius suggests that new ways of relating, thinking, and of course leading is emerging. Many of us may find that we are forming new relationships with community, connections, and the possibilities we see for the future.

What happens when we change the stories we have been telling ourselves? Well…our relationship with reality changes when our interpretation changes.

Mercury + Pluto

Mercury in Leo gives language to the heart, but with Mercury separating from an oppositon with Pluto Rx in Aquarius, the truth has already surfaced. Adding to this conversation is that eclipses often reveal things that have remained hidden.

Something has already been seen. Something cannot be unseen.

Some old narratives are beginning to lose their collective power. My question here is…are we willing to stop feeding the stories that keep us disconnected from our own evolution?

Venus, Neptune, Uranus + Pluto

The Venus-Uranus-Pluto trine is one of my favorite aspect in the sky right now.

Venus in Libra: New ways of relating that honor the other and the self in equal balance, that speak truth, that look for justice.

Uranus in Gemini: New perspectives to be shared and communicated which could break us out of these old narratives on a large collective scale.

Pluto in Aquarius: The death and eventual rebirth of collective systems that prioritize individual gain over the progress and wellbeing of humanity as a whole.

Venus in Libra also happens to oppose Neptune Rx in Aries. This to me signals that balance is required in what we perceive as truth right now.

Can you tell the difference between:

• a dream and an illusion?

• what you desire and what you were taught to desire?

• belonging and abandoning yourself?

Mars + Chiron

Mars has also just entered Cancer and is forming a sextile with Chiron retrograde in Taurus at the time of the eclipse.

The healing of worth.

The healing of safety.

The healing of belonging.

Can you believe you are valuable without constantly proving your value through performing your “role”?

Can you protect what matters without living in a constant state of defense that keeps you feeling alone or disconnected?

This week the Moon moves from the final days of the lunar cycle into a New Moon South Node Solar Eclipse in Leo, inviting us to release old stories about who we have been and open to a new relationship with our own light and creative expression.

Eclipses at the south node are often reveal how the universe is encouraging us to loosen our grip on identities, patterns, or expectations that have shaped us.

My thoughts about this first eclipse in the series will be in your inbox tomorrow.

The sky we are moving through a huge moment of transition. The old ways of orienting ourselves may no longer fit, while what comes next is still beginning to take shape. It is a liminal space. Give yourself as much time as possible to just rest.

As we move through the week, notice what begins to fall away, what feels ready to be released, and what new possibilities emerge.

The invitation of Moonlight Monday each week is not to predict what will happen, but to help you become more aware of what is unfolding as your live your life.

Living Under the Moon

This week carries us through the final days of the lunar cycle, the New Moon Solar Eclipse, and the waxing crescent which will build to a Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on August 28.

The Waning Crescent Moon invites us into surrender, reflection, and release. This is the time before the new cycle begins. It is time for refection, rest, and release that creates space.

The New Moon Solar Eclipse arrives on Wednesday. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon moves between the Earth and the Sun, temporarily obscuring the light of the Sun. Symbolically, this is a moment when the usual ways we orient ourselves may become less clear. It is a time to turn inward and listen as the universe takes the wheel.

The Waxing Crescent Moon begins the process of building. After the darkness of the New Moon, the smallest sliver of moonlight returns. We do not need the whole path illuminated to take our next small steps.

This week, the Moon moves through the signs of Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio.

The week begins with the Moon in Cancer, a fitting place for a waning crescent. Before we officially enter the eclipse portal, the Moon invites us to return to our inner world.

Last week, the sky illuminated what was ready to be seen, even if we did not want to see it or it felt uncomfortable. In my experience, discomfort is a signal of growth. This week, the sky invites us to begin living from and with what we now know.

A theme I see running through the astrology right now is courageous adjustment. This week’s lunar and cosmic weather encourage us to respond thoughtfully to what has been revealed.

The Moon moves from the Waning Gibbous Moon into the Last Quarter and Waning Crescent phases. Chiron stations retrograde in Taurus, while The Last Quarter Moon in Taurus encourages us to release what no longer supports the future we’re growing toward. Venus returns home to Libra, encouraging focus on the relationship we have with ourselves and others. By the end of the week, Mercury enters Leo, giving us the courage to express our authentic truth.

This is a quieter week than the last, but it has its own kind of power. It is a week for integrating insight, making meaningful adjustments, letting go, and trusting that every release and ending creates space for something more aligned to emerge so we can begin again.

Living Under the Moon

Lunar Wisdom for the Week

This week the Moon encourages you to process what became visible under that powerful Full Moon in Aquarius. There may be something you are realizing you no longer need to carry.

As the Moon cycles through the Waning Gibbous into the Last Quarter and Waning Crescent phases, we are digesting our experiences of the current lunar cycle that began with the New Moon in Cancer on July 14. We can sort through what we’ve learned, release what no longer fits, and create space for whatever the next New Moon will ask us to begin.

• Waning Gibbous Moon: What realizations are you integrating?

• Last Quarter Moon: What needs to be released, forgiven, or adjusted?

• Waning Crescent Moon: What wisdom are you carrying forward? How is life asking you to rest, listen, and prepare for another beginning?

Aries Moon

Through Tuesday, 10:36 PM ET

The week begins with lunar fire.

The Aries Moon forms supportive conversations with both Jupiter and the Sun in Leo, bringing enthusiasm, confidence, and momentum. You may feel excited to act on something that became clear under last week’s Full Moon.

The Moon also meets Saturn, asking you to temper your enthusiasm with some maturity. Intention and patience are just as important as action with Saturn in Aries. We are building one brick at a time here.

On Tuesday, a square to Mercury in Cancer may create tension between what you feel and what you want to do. Give yourself permission to slow down before responding emotionally. Later in the day, the Moon’s conversation with Mars in Gemini could help you find movement again, especially after you’ve had time to think things through.

The Moon goes void of course Tuesday afternoon at 2:51 PM ET. Give yourself permission to leave some space in your evening.

Monday: Chiron Stations Retrograde in Taurus

Chiron begins its retrograde movement. Eventually, it will re-enter Aries.

Rather than presenting new wounds, retrograde periods often help us revisit familiar old stories that still carry pain with greater wisdom. In Taurus, these stories may revolve around self-worth, safety, belonging, resources, or trusting your own value.

You may notice old patterns resurfacing. This is not because you’ve failed to heal, but because you’re now ready to meet the hurt from a different place.

Healing is not linear. Sometimes we discover how much we’ve grown by encountering an old story and realizing we no longer respond to it the same way. This has been something I am already witnessing occurring in my own life. I wonder if you have too?

Taurus Moon

Tuesday 10:36 PM ET – Friday 2:08 AM ET

The emotional tone slows considerably as the Moon enters Taurus.

When the Moon enters Taurus it joins Chiron Rx. Old hurts, questions around worthiness, or long-standing insecurities may surface. If they do, I hope they remind you how much you’ve already healed.

Wednesday brings the week’s Last Quarter Moon, and it may feel like a turning point.

The Moon squares Pluto, Jupiter, and the Sun, creating friction that asks for adjustment. Last Quarter Moons often require us to release something before we can move forward. In Taurus, this may involve letting go of familiar comforts, outdated values, or attachments that no longer support who you’re becoming.

Sometimes growth isn’t about adding something new. Sometimes it’s about making enough room for something new to arrive.

Thursday could offer some relief as a sextile with Mercury in Cancer may help us understand and communicate what we’re feeling with greater clarity.

Thursday: Venus Enters Libra

Venus returns home. Over the next few weeks, relationships, beauty, creativity, balance, and our values all come into greater focus.

Libra reminds us that harmony isn’t about avoiding conflict. It is created through honest relationship with ourselves first, and then with others.

This is my favorite transit of the week. The Sun in Leo encourages authentic self-expression. Saturn in Aries is helping us take ourselves seriously enough to build something lasting.

Together, they remind us that confidence grows through commitment.

If something became clear under last week’s Full Moon, this transit helps you begin giving it structure. Inspiration becomes sustainable through consistency.

Gemini Moon

Friday 2:08 AM ET – Sunday 3:46 AM ET

A bit of lightness returns as the Moon enters Gemini. The Gemini Moon spends much of the weekend having supportive conversations with nearly every planet it encounters. Curiosity returns and conversations flow more easily. New ideas emerge with more ease.

Uranus may bring an unexpected insight or surprising invitation. Pluto will help you see beneath the surface. Neptune encourages your imagination, while Jupiter expands possibility.

By Saturday evening, the Moon joins Mars, giving your thoughts momentum. This is excellent energy for writing, learning, teaching, brainstorming, having meaningful conversations, or finally taking action on an idea that has been developing.

Cancer Moon

The week closes with a softer emotional tone.

The Cancer Moon encourages you to return home to yourself after a week of processing and adjustment.

A supportive conversations with Chiron reminds us that healing often happens through being gentle with ourselves rather than pushing through. At the same time, squares to Venus and Neptune may reveal which expectations or relationships need more care or focus.

Sunday: Mercury Enters Leo

After transiting forward and backward through Cancer since June 1, Mercury moves into Leo. Our thoughts become warmer, bolder, and more expressive.

While Mercury was moving through Cancer, communication was influenced by memory and emotion. Mercury’s entrance into Leo encourages us to speak with greater confidence and creativity.

This is wonderful energy for teaching, storytelling, creating, sharing your voice, and expressing yourself authentically.

It will give you the courage to speak from the heart.

Every Full Moon illuminates something that was previously hidden. This one illuminates the possibilities that transformation makes available.

I’ve been sitting with this Full Moon chart for the past few days to prepare to share my thoughts here, and I keep coming back to the same feeling. Something is becoming visible.

I am personally extremely activated by this Full Moon, and I wonder how many of you are too. There is so much shifting and changing that all I can do is surrender to it and trust that I am becoming who I am here to be along the way.

The more I look at this Full Moon chart, the more it feels like we’re beginning to see differently.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how that’s actually how change happens.

When I look back over my own life, every major transformation began this way. Long before anything changed on the outside...my perspective changed first. Nothing around me had changed yet…but I had.

The future often arrives as a new way of seeing. I wonder if that’s what this Full Moon is offering us.

The Full Moon perfects on Wednesday, July 29th at 10:36 AM ET. Just over two hours before the Moon reaches its fullest expression, Jupiter is reborn in the heart of the Sun through a cazimi at 8:11 AM ET. The Full Moon joins Pluto in Aquarius, directly opposing the Sun and Jupiter in Leo.

Surrounding them, Uranus in Gemini and Neptune in Aries offer supportive aspects, while a tense aspect to Chiron in Taurus reminds us that transformation and growth often involve our ability to move through the places where hurt lives in us.

Together, these planets create one of the clearest expressions of the larger astrological landscape we are living within. The Basket in the sky is fully alive. Jupiter. Pluto. Uranus. Neptune. Now the Sun and the Moon.

When I look at this chart, I don’t just see a Full Moon. I see the entire sky speaking. They’re all participating in the same conversation. I don’t know where that conversation is leading us. I don’t think anyone does.

However, I do think we can learn to participate in it.

The more I practice astrology, I keep finding myself asking this question:

How can we participate more consciously in the time we’re living?

That’s the question this Full Moon keeps bringing me back to. This Full Moon isn't here to tell us exactly what will happen next, but it may offer clues. Breadcrumbs. Our only job is to notice them and follow them with trust in our hearts.

These breadcrumbs will help us recognize that the future may be far more open than we imagined. The most significant turning points in our collective and personal experiences begin when we can no longer see ourselves, or our lives, the way we once did.

I don’t know exactly what this looks like for each of us.

I do know what major turning points have looked like in my own life.

It often looks like a conversation, a realization, or a synchronicity. It always involves a moment when I suddenly can’t see things the way I did before.

Maybe you’ve experienced this too. Maybe you’ve been noticing little breadcrumbs in your own life these past few weeks.

Maybe it is a conversation that keeps echoing in your mind, a recurring dream, or an idea you can’t seem to let go of.

Maybe it’s been a different way of understanding your past.

I don’t think the astrology or this Full Moon is here to hand us answers steeped in certainty, ever.

Pluto’s co-presence with the Moon feels so important here. People often talk about Pluto as destruction. I don’t really experience Pluto that way. For me, Pluto has always revealed a moment in time when I realize I can’t unsee something.

Once I see it...I can’t go back.

It’s often that an old identity no longer fits or the old story no longer explains my present experience. Yes, that’s uncomfortable, but it’s also where possibility begins to emerge.

If I can no longer see myself the old way...maybe a different future has already started forming. The internal shifts always happen before the external ones. Our external realities meet our internal realities.

This is also the last lunation before eclipse season begins. It almost feels like we’re standing in a doorway.

Maybe if we slow down and stand there long enough we might notice what we’re bringing with us...and what we’re finally ready to leave behind.

What becomes possible when we stop assuming the future has already been written?

I keep returning to this same reflection as I watch this rare configuration unfold. Astrology is not here to tell us what will happen next. It is here to help us develop a relationship with the time we are living.

The future is not fixed. Neither are we.

This Full Moon invites us to notice where possibility has quietly entered our awareness.

We might not we have all the answers, but that is because we are no longer asking the same questions.

Perhaps a new understanding becomes available, not because our circumstances have suddenly changed, but because our perspective has.

Leo and Aquarius: Becoming Ourselves Together

Leo and Aquarius are often described as opposites. Yet every opposition in astrology is a relationship.

Leo reminds us to create. To express. To love. To become more fully ourselves.

Aquarius reminds us that none of us exists in isolation. Our lives ripple outward into families, friendships, communities, and the collective story we are all helping to write.

This Full Moon suggests these are not opposing paths. The more fully we become ourselves, the more authentically we contribute to something larger than ourselves.

Living the Aspects

Every aspect tells part of the story of the Full Moon. None of them exists in isolation, just like us. They’re all participating in the same larger conversation.

The Moon conjunct Pluto

This conjunction may illuminate an old identity, a pattern, a relationship dynamic, or a story you’ve been carrying about yourself for years.

This is not so you judge yourself for it, but so you can finally see it clearly enough to decide whether it still belongs in your life.

Transformation begins with nothing more than telling ourselves the truth.

The Moon opposite Jupiter Cazimi

This opposition may feel like standing between two versions of yourself.

The person you’ve been and the person you’re beginning to imagine.

Can you just trust that the future is larger than the story you’ve been living?

Can you show up as your true authentic self in service of something greater than you?

The Moon trine Uranus

I’ve been thinking a lot about Uranus lately. Uranus awakens us to new perspectives and experiences.

Then suddenly...BOOM…the future looks different.

Under this lunation, sudden realizations may land about where all the change is taking you next. That’s exciting to me.

The Moon sextile Neptune

Neptune often reminds me that not everything meaningful can be explained.

Sometimes we spend so much energy trying to figure everything out that we miss the larger meaning.

This aspect invites us to soften our attachment to certainty. It encourages us to pay attention to dreams, to notice the synchronicities, and to trust the creative ideas that seem to arrive out of nowhere.

The Moon square Chiron

Chiron often appears in the sky’s conversations when we’re being invited to meet an old wound from a new version of ourselves, especially under a tense aspect to the Moon, Pluto, the Sun, and Jupiter.

It doesn’t mean the wound disappears. It means our relationship with it begins to change.

This Full Moon may bring up questions about belonging, worth, and whether you are enough, If these wounds come up, be gentle with yourself.

Healing isn’t about pretending the wound never happened. It’s about allowing wisdom to emerge from the places that hurt the most.

The Ruler of the Lunation

Saturn Retrograde: Living From What We Have Learned

Saturn, the ruler of this Full Moon, just recently stationed retrograde in Aries. It has already separated from its square with Mercury in Cancer, which stationed direct just last week.

The conversations. The memories. The realizations. Many of them have already happened for us.

As the ruler of this Full Moon, Saturn wants to know:

How will you begin living what you’ve come to understand through time?

Saturn retrograde in Aries invites inward reflection. Instead of looking outside ourselves for certainty, we are invited to trust our own experiences. We can become our own authority and move forward one deliberate step at a time.

• What possibility has become visible that I could not see a few months ago?

• What identity, expectation, or story am I ready to release?

• How am I being invited to trust my own knowing more deeply?

• How has my understanding of the future changed?

• What would become possible if I believed more than one future could exist?

Something else I want to mention is that this Full Moon is attached to the first eclipse we had on the Aquarius/Leo axis on February 17, which was a solar eclipse in Aquarius. Something new began then that was connected with our destiny.

I believe in our free will, but I also believe the universe sometimes takes the wheel to redirect us. We are still making the choices, but we are invited into new life directions. This is another reason this Full Moon is so important.

Two weeks ago, the New Moon in Cancer invited us to begin again.

Maybe we planted intentions around home, belonging, emotional truth, and trusting what we know from the inside out. Rather than looking outside ourselves for direction, we were asked to orient toward what felt safe, nourishing, and true to our sense of emotional belonging.

Last week, the First Quarter Moon in Libra reminded us that intentions don’t grow through wishing alone. They grow through our participation.

You likely encountered friction. I certainly did!

Perhaps you discovered how life was asking you to adjust, compromise, advocate for yourself, or to just keep showing up.

This week, the Full Moon in Aquarius illuminates what has been growing beneath the surface. Full Moons help us see what has been growing since the New Moon. Enough time has passed for something to become visible…and this Full Moon is connected to the first Solar Eclipse we had in Aquarius back on February 17. This is the last major lunation before eclipse season begins and we have a Solar Eclipse on Leo on August 12.

This week’s Full Moon feels significant. I have been looking at this lunation for months, imagining what life would feel like by the time it came into our fields. Now I know a bit more than I did before. This is how life works. More on the Full Moon will be delivered by Tuesday morning.

Before and while reaching fullness, the Moon will be in conversation with every major planet within Barbault’s Basket. She gathers together the transformative power of Pluto, the new dreams of Neptune, the awakening of Uranus, the expansion of Jupiter, all while reflecting her light back to us.

This week may bring moments of recognition.

Not necessarily certainty or final answers.

It feels as if a clearer understanding of how the choices we’ve been making since the Cancer New Moon are beginning to shape the future we’re creating.

This is one of the gifts of living with the sky.

The week begins with the Waxing Gibbous Moon in Capricorn encouraging us to take our intentions seriously. Capricorn reminds us that dreams need structure if they’re going to become reality.

As she squares Saturn Rx in Aries, we may become aware of the commitments, boundaries, or responsibilities this next chapter requires of us. Growth is often about becoming someone capable of holding what we’re calling in.

Later, she opposes Mercury in Cancer, inviting a conversation between our emotional knowing and our rational mind. We may notice ourselves questioning decisions we’ve made or revisiting conversations from a different perspective.

Fortunately, the Moon also forms a supportive trine to Venus in Virgo, reminding us that love is often expressed through practical care. Tidying your home, nourishing your body, helping someone you love, or tending to the small details of your life may help you emotionally regulate.

Aquarius Waxing Gibbous → Full Moon

Tuesday 9:46 PM ET – Friday 8:14 AM ET

This is the emotional heart of the week. Before reaching fullness, the Moon has an extraordinary number of conversations with other planets and points.

She squares Chiron, reminding us that healing often begins by acknowledging what still hurts.

She joins Pluto, bringing transformation into our emotional awareness and revealing where old identities or ways of relating may no longer fit.

She harmonizes with Neptune, inviting imagination, compassion, and trust.

She harmonizes with Uranus, opening us to new possibilities and unexpected insights.

She opposes Jupiter and the Sun as she reaches fullness.

Later, she meets the North Node, quietly pointing toward the future.

It feels almost ceremonial to me. I can’t wait to be standing under this Moon magic. It feels as if she gathers together the wisdom of the entire sky before reflecting it back to us down here on planet Earth.

Because this illumination happens in Aquarius, we may begin recognizing how our personal gifts and the choices we've been making ripple outward into our friendships, communities, and the future we're helping create together.

Pisces Waning Gibbous Moon

After the brilliance of the Full Moon, the Waning Gibbous Moon in Pisces invites us to dream, imagine, and connect with what we can not see.

This is when we can begin integrating everything that has come into our awareness.

Supportive conversations with Chiron and Mercury help us make compassionate sense of what we’ve learned. Journaling, counseling, tarot, creativity, spending time near water, or simply allowing yourself to feel without needing to fix anything may become deeply restorative.

The Moon continues her conversations as she squares Uranus, then Mars, while opposing Venus. A mutable T-square forms across the sky between the Moon, Venus, and Mars. You may find yourself caught between thinking, feeling, and doing when this T-Square perfects early on Sunday morning.

Between adapting and standing your ground. Between what your heart longs for and what your mind believes is practical.

The week closes with the Moon entering Aries.

After moving through responsibility, revelation, and integration, Aries reminds us that eventually every realization asks something of us.

Overnight, the Moon begins speaking with the Basket, carrying the momentum of everything we’ve learned this week into next week.

Major Astrology of the Week Ahead

While the Moon tells the emotional story of the week, the larger sky tells us why this particular Full Moon feels so significant.

Early in the week, the Sun carries the light through Barbault’s Basket.

By Wednesday morning, Jupiter reaches the heart of the Sun in a Cazimi.

Aquarius: How can my unique gifts contribute to something larger than myself?

Leo is the individual. Aquarius is the collective.

Leo creates from the heart. Aquarius innovates for the future.

Leo reminds us that every person carries something unique to share with the world. Aquarius reminds us that our gifts become even more powerful when they are connected to something beyond ourselves.

Without Leo, the collective can become disconnected from the human heart.

Without Aquarius, personal expression can become focused only on the self.

This axis teaches us that individuality and belonging are not opposites.

We are not meant to disappear into the collective. We are meant to discover who we are so that we can meaningfully participate within it.

This Leo season carries even more significance because the Lunar Nodes shift into this axis. The South Node enters Leo, inviting us to examine the identities, stories, and expressions of ourselves that we may have outgrown.

The North Node enters Aquarius, calling us toward a future built through collaboration, innovation, community, and shared vision.

The invitation is not to abandon our Leo parts. The invitation is to evolve them. To move from needing to be seen into being willing to contribute our unique light in service of the collective future.

To move from performing who we think we should be into embodying who we truly are.

Together, Leo and Aquarius cab teach us that our light was never meant to exist in isolation. It was always meant to illuminate something larger.

The imagery of Strength shows a woman gently placing her hands around the mouth of a lion. This is not a card about domination. It is a card about relationship.

The woman does not conquer the lion through force. She meets the lion with patience, compassion, and trust.

Strength reminds us that true power does not come from suppressing our instincts. It comes from learning how to work with them.

Our desires, emotions, creativity, and passions are not things to control or fear. They are sources of life force.

Sometimes we discover our strengths through experimentation, comparison, and challenge.

The 5 of Wands reminds us that finding our voice requires practice. We have to create. We have to try. We have to be willing to learn through the process.

Leo teaches us that confidence is not something we find before we begin.

Recognition and expansion

The second decan of Leo reminds us that there are moments when we are meant to celebrate our growth.

The 6 of Wands is often associated with victory, recognition, and acknowledgment.

This card can remind us that receiving recognition is not the same thing as seeking validation. There is a difference between needing others to confirm our worth and allowing ourselves to be witnessed and celebrated for our accomplishments.

Leo teaches us that joy expands when it is shared. The gifts we cultivate become more powerful when we allow them to be seen.

This decan invites us to consider where we have been minimizing ourselves or dismissing our own accomplishments.

The 6 of Wands reminds me of a Leo theme: visibility can be an act of generosity. When we allow ourselves to shine, we give others permission to do the same.

Courage and conviction

The final decan of Leo asks us to stand behind what matters.

The 7 of Wands shows a figure standing above others, holding a wand while facing challenges from below.

This card is not about fighting every battle. It is about knowing what is worth protecting.

Leo teaches us that authentic self-expression requires courage. When we share our creativity, our truth, or our gifts with the world, we make ourselves vulnerable to feedback, judgment, and misunderstanding.

The 7 of Wands reminds us that confidence is not the absence of doubt or fear. It is the willingness to continue despite it.

As this Leo season begins eclipse season, this card feels especially relevant. Eclipses often reveal where we are being asked to release old identities and step more fully into who we are becoming.

The 7 of Wands asks us to protect the parts of ourselves that feel most alive.

Not from a place of defensiveness. From a place of devotion.

Living Leo Season 2026

Every Leo season carries the invitation to create, express, and lead from the heart. This year, however, those themes are unfolding within one of the most significant astrological landscapes of our lifetime.

As Leo season begins, the basket configuration in the sky is fully activated. Jupiter in Leo, Uranus in Gemini, Neptune in Aries, and Pluto in Aquarius (all hovering around 4 degrees) are participating in a rare geometric conversation that humanity has never experienced before.

No one knows exactly where this configuration will lead us. That is not the purpose of astrology. Astrology, in my practice, is less concerned with predicting the future and more about how we can participate in the time we are living.

This basket feels like a field of possibility. It invites us to imagine new ways of creating, connecting, learning, leading, and belonging.

Mercury stations direct in Cancer on July 23, only one day into Leo season. Retrogrades remind us that time is not simply linear. Sometimes we move forward by looking back. Sometimes clarity arrives only after we have been willing to revisit what we have already lived.

Mercury’s station marks the moment when reflection becomes integration. The stories we have been revisiting, remembering, and rewriting during Cancer season become the foundation for what we are now ready to express.

We remembered first so that now we can create.

As the season continues, another new chapter begins. The Lunar Nodes leave the Pisces–Virgo axis and enter Aquarius and Leo on July 26th, opening a new eighteen-month eclipse cycle centered around individuality and collective contribution.

Questions of identity, creativity, leadership, community, innovation, and belonging will become increasingly important.

We are entering a new chapter in our relationship with time.

Another important moment this season is when Jupiter reaches the heart of the Sun in a Jupiter Cazimi on July 29, which is also the day of the Aquarius Full Moon.

Jupiter symbolizes growth, hope, wisdom, faith, and the stories we tell about what is possible. When Jupiter is reborn in the heart of the Sun, we are invited to renew our relationship with possibility itself.

This moment does not arrive after everything has been figured out. It arrives while the Sun is still moving through the first decan of Leo: the 5 of Wands.

Do not wait to create until you feel completely confident.

Create anyway.

Learn through the process of creation and expression.

Allow yourself to become someone new through participation.

As the season continues to unfold, the personal planets shape our lived experience of these larger collective shifts.

Venus enters Libra on August 6th, inviting greater balance, reciprocity, and relationship while also activating the evolving basket configuration through new conversations with the outer planets. The collective themes of creativity, innovation, and possibility begin showing up in our relationships, collaborations, and shared visions for the future.

Mercury enters Leo on August 9th, helping us move from emotional reflection into confident expression. Mercury’s movement through Leo also brings our thoughts, ideas, and conversations into direct relationship with the larger basket configuration.

Mars enters Cancer on August 11th, reminding us that courage is not always loud. Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is protect what matters most to us.

Together, these inner planet movements help us embody the larger themes of the season. While the outer planets describe the collective landscape, the inner planets reveal how we can personally participate within it.

Leo season reminds us that we do not meet the future by standing on the sidelines.

We meet it by participating.

By creating.

By experimenting.

By sharing our gifts.

By allowing ourselves to be changed by the process.

There are some weeks when the astrology is super active. This is one of them.

Over the last several weeks we’ve been living inside enormous conversations forming between Jupiter, Pluto, Uranus, and Neptune. We have also been living through a Mercury retrograde in Cancer. This week those conversations continue.

Mercury stations direct, but we aren’t out of the woods quite yet. Saturn stations retrograde, inviting another season of reflection. The Sun enters Leo, shifting the solar energy from water to fire. Then, as the week closes, the Lunar Nodes move into Aquarius and Leo, opening the doorway into the eclipse season August will bring.

There is a noticeable feeling of forward movement this week, but not because everything is suddenly resolved. Rather, I hope that we can begin to understand what the last several weeks have been trying to teach us.

Living with the Moon

The Moon section is set up a little differently as I want to help you practice what it means to live with the sky.

Rather than just noticing the Moon’s sign and phase, I also want you to begin paying attention to who she is talking with throughout the week. Every quick conversation the Moon has impacts our emotional experience in a different way. This is how astrology begins to move beyond information and into lived experience.

Libra Waxing Crescent → First Quarter Moon

Monday through Tuesday at 9:35 AM ET

The week begins with the Moon in Libra inviting us to seek balance while so much around us is shifting.

Early Monday morning she squares Mercury retrograde in Cancer. You may notice conversations feeling emotionally charged, misunderstandings resurfacing, or thoughts returning that you believed you had already worked through. Rather than forcing clarity, allow yourself to observe what keeps asking for your attention.

On Tuesday morning the First Quarter Moon forms as the Moon squares the Sun. First Quarter Moons are moments of action. The intentions planted at the New Moon now ask us to participate in bringing them to life.

However, this call to action can feel like friction. Not because something is wrong, but because growth often requires us to make a choice.

Afterward, the Moon becomes void of course until entering Scorpio, offering a pause before the emotional landscape of the week deepens.

Scorpio Waxing Gibbous Moon

Tuesday 9:35 AM ET – Thursday 9:07 PM ET

The emotional waters deepen when the Moon enters Scorpio.

Her first conversations with the Lunar Nodes help us intuitively recognize what feels aligned with our growth and what we’re naturally beginning to outgrow. These realizations often arrive as feelings before they become thoughts.

However, as the Moon opposes Chiron and squares Pluto and Jupiter, emotions may become more intense than expected. Old wounds, questions of trust, power dynamics, or places where you’ve outgrown previous versions of yourself may ask for your attention.

Fortunately, she also forms supportive aspects to Venus and Mercury. Honest conversations, journaling, counseling, tarot, creative work, or simply giving language to what you’re feeling can become deeply healing.

Transformation rarely happens because we avoid our emotions. Our emotions are our navigation system. They provide information.

Transformation happens when we become willing to stay with our emotions long enough to understand what they are trying to teach us.

The Moon is void of course from Wednesday evening until Thursday night, giving us another opportunity to pause.

Sagittarius Waxing Gibbous Moon

Thursday 9:07 PM ET – Sunday 9:44 AM ET

The Sagittarius Moon helps us lift our eyes toward the horizon. After several deeply emotional days, this Moon asks us to remember the bigger picture.

She has many conversations and is very busy.

Her trines to the Sun, Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune invite hope, inspiration, confidence, perspective, and renewed faith in where life is leading you. You may suddenly understand why recent events unfolded the way they did or begin seeing possibilities that previously felt hidden.

Yet she also opposes Uranus and Mars while squaring Venus, reminding us that growth rarely feels perfectly comfortable. Plans may change. Conversations may surprise you. Conflicting desires may become impossible to ignore.

Try to remain curious enough to discover what any uncertainty that crops up is making possible.

Capricorn Waxing Gibbous Moon

Beginning Sunday 9:44 AM ET

The week closes with the Moon entering Capricorn.

After moving through emotion, transformation, possibility, and perspective, The Capricorn Moon may have you thinking about okay, how do we bring this into form?

Supportive conversations with Chiron and the Lunar Nodes help us recognize practical next steps, while the square to Neptune may leave us feeling uncertain by the end of the evening. If confusion arises, don't mistake it for failure. There’s so much going on and you don’t have to have it all figured out yet.

Only hours later, Jupiter meets Pluto across the sky.

Mercury stations direct in Cancer at 6:57 PM ET

After several weeks of reflection, revision, and reorientation, Mercury begins moving forward once again.

Before we celebrate Mercury moving direct, I want to offer a reminder:

There is no need to rush.

A Mercury station direct is a turning point in its retrograde journey, but it is not the finish line. Although Mercury is now moving forward, it is still moving slowly and must travel back through the same degrees it retraced during the retrograde. This period is known as the post-shadow, and it is often where we begin integrating everything the retrograde revealed.

I like to imagine hiking back down a trail you’ve already walked. The station direct is the moment you turn around.

The post-shadow is the walk back home.

You’re covering familiar ground again, but you’re no longer the same person who first traveled it.

Mercury won’t fully complete this journey until it returns to 26°15’ Cancer, the degree where the retrograde began, on August 6 at approximately 11:35 PM ET.

Until then, continue moving carefully.

Conversations may keep unfolding.

Decisions may become clearer.

The insights you’ve gathered over the past several weeks now have an opportunity to become embodied.

One of the biggest astrological shifts of the year arrives as the Lunar Nodes change signs.

Over the next eighteen months, we’ll collectively begin exploring new lessons around individuality and community, innovation and creativity, authentic self-expression and collective contribution.

The Aquarius North Node wants us to think beyond ourselves without losing ourselves. The Leo South Node wants us to examine old stories around recognition, identity, performance, and the ways we’ve sought validation.

This shift also marks the beginning of a new eclipse story.

The Leo Solar Eclipse in August is drawing closer, and the themes emerging now will likely become much louder over the months ahead.

This week we move from the final moments of one lunar cycle into the birth of another. The Waning Crescent Moon encourages us to rest, reflect, and release what no longer belongs in our inner landscape. The New Moon in Cancer offers a chance to plant intentions rooted in emotional truth. By the end of the week, the Waxing Crescent Moon reminds us that our intentions become reality through our participation.

The Moon section looks a little different this week. Mercury retrograde moving through my Cancer 3rd house has had me reworking how I communicate and teach about the Moon, so it felt fitting to let this newsletter evolve alongside it.

With a Cancer 3rd house, I suppose it shouldn’t surprise me that I spend so much of my life writing about and thinking about the Moon. My communication naturally answers to her.

The week begins with the Moon in her home sign of Cancer, inviting us inward.

Under Waning Crescent Moon, emotions naturally turn toward reflection. You may find yourself revisiting memories, noticing what still carries emotional weight, or recognizing where your inner world is asking for more care before beginning something new.

While in Cancer, the Moon squares Saturn in Aries, asking us to balance emotional needs with responsibility or limitations. You may become aware of places where you’ve been carrying too much alone or where stronger boundaries are needed in order to truly feel supported.

The Cancer Moon also joins Mercury retrograde. Conversations, memories, dreams, and inner realizations may surface unexpectedly. This is an invitation to listen before acting. The stories that arise now may become the wisdom that helps shape where you are going next.

At 5:43 AM ET Tuesday, the Cancer New Moon arrives alongside Mercury retrograde, beginning a new lunar cycle centered on emotional honesty, belonging, home, family, memory, and the stories we tell ourselves about where we come from. I wrote in detail about this lunation in my previous post.

Rather than rushing to create something new, this New Moon reminds us that authentic beginnings often emerge from fully listening to what the past still has to teach us.

After planting new intentions, the Moon enters Leo and encourages us to begin participating with courage.

The Leo Moon has many conversations throughout its journey.

It squares Chiron in Taurus, bringing vulnerability around self-worth or being seen.

It then joins Jupiter in Leo, reminding us that confidence often grows through expression rather than perfection. There is permission here to take up a little more space than you usually do. Soon after, the Moon opposes Pluto retrograde in Aquarius, and deeper fears around visibility, authenticity, or control may surface. Rather than seeing these feelings as obstacles, allow them to become teachers.

The Moon moves into Virgo, shifting our attention from inspiration toward integration.

The Virgo Moon’s squares to Uranus and Mars in Gemini may create moments where plans shift unexpectedly or mental overstimulation makes it difficult to stay grounded. Rather than trying to control every detail, practice responding one step at a time.

We spend a lot of time in life thinking about or trying to move forward, but there are moments when the most important thing we can do is return.

Return to ourselves. Return to our memories.

Return to the parts of our story that still hold wisdom we have not fully processed so we can integrate and move forward.

The Cancer New Moon feels like one of those moments. A moment to pause, remember, and clear the path before the energy in the sky shifts into configurations we have never experienced.

It is difficult to move forward when the path ahead is still blocked by experiences, feelings, and emotions we have not yet fully processed.

The energy right now is hard. It’s been hard for me and everyone I know. It is the felt sense of something new waiting to emerge while simultaneously being asked to return to the past, slow down, and clear.

Clearing is not a punishment. Clearing is an act of preparation.

We do not clear the path because we have failed to move forward. We clear the path because we are making space for where we are going next.

I have been thinking about a card in my Akashic Tarot deck a lot recently. I have even found myself pulling it frequently during my work in the Records.

It is the 4 of Keys: Clearing the Way.

Now, Jupiter and Pluto are preparing to face each other across the Aquarius-Leo axis, bringing that story into a new phase of development.

We have been wading through heavy waters — literally and figuratively — since then.

This New Moon makes one major conversation:

The Moon and Sun are conjunct Mercury Rx at 19°50′ Cancer.

Unlike the Gemini New Moon, which invited us to choose a new story and consider new possibilities, this lunation turns our attention inward. If we are going to write a new story, we must first understand what will hold us as we begin living it. Before you write the your next story, clear the path home to the person who is writing it.

You.

The Moon represents our emotional body.

The Sun represents our consciousness and life force.

Mercury represents our thoughts, plans, conversations, and the stories we tell ourselves.

When these three meet in Cancer, we are invited into a conversation between our heart, our identity, and our past.

This lunation comes just two days after the Mercury Rx Cazimi on July 12.

Mercury, dancing backwards through the underworld, has just traveled through the heart of the Sun in Cancer. Something has been illuminated.

Something that was previously beneath the surface has been brought into awareness.

Mercury Holds the Key

The ruler of this lunation is the Moon, but Mercury’s presence alongside the Moon deserves special attention.

Mercury has spent this retrograde journey moving through Cancer, inviting us to revisit memories, conversations, and emotional narratives that have shaped our understanding of ourselves.

In mythology, Mercury is a psychopomp, a guide who escorts souls between worlds. He moves freely between the heavens, the earthly realm, and the underworld.

When retrograde, it can be thought of as a time when Mercury spends time in the underworld. Mercury retrograde invites us to make that same journey, by going inward.

Instead of gathering information from the outside world, Mercury begins gathering insight from within, descending into the underworld of our own psyche and illuminating the thoughts, memories, and stories that usually remain beneath the surface.

When we consider that Mercury’s current terrain is Cancer, the journey becomes even more personal.

Mercury retrograde in Cancer asks us to descend into the parts of ourselves connected to memory, belonging, family, and emotional history. It invites us to notice how our past continues to live within our emotional landscape and how unresolved experiences can quietly block the path forward.

Mercury in Cancer communicates differently than Mercury in Gemini.

Gemini gathers information.

Cancer gathers meaning.

The Lunar Weather

This week the Moon moves from the Waxing Gibbous phase into the Last Quarter and Waning Crescent phases of the lunar cycle, traveling through Aries, Taurus, Gemini, and into Cancer by Sunday evening.

The beginning of the week completes the digestion and integration of the Waxing Gibbous phase. We continue refining what began at the New Moon and integrating what the recent Full Moon illuminated.

On Tuesday, the Last Quarter Moon arrives. This phase often brings a turning point. We become aware of what is ready to be released, revised, or approached differently. Sometimes this feels like external change. Other times it arrives as an internal recognition that we cannot continue carrying something in the same way we have before living the current lunar cycle.

The remainder of the week unfolds under the Waning Crescent Moon, the final phase before the next New Moon (New Moon in Cancer on July 14 at 5:43 AM ET). This is often a quieter part of the lunar cycle that invites rest, reflection, and completion. Rather than pushing for new beginnings, the Waning Crescent asks us to create space for them. Neptune stations retrograde in Aries (4°25’).

Neptune begins its retrograde journey, remaining retrograde until December 12. Whenever Neptune stations, the fog often becomes more internally noticeable before it begins to lift. Dreams, ideals, identities, and long-held assumptions may begin a period of revision.

In Aries, this reflection centers on how you understand yourself, your sense of agency, and the direction you are choosing to move your life toward. What once felt certain may become less defined, creating space for a more authentic understanding to emerge over time. This is less about losing clarity and more about allowing deeper truth to replace illusion.

This is not something you will necessarily experience every day. Rather, it is a longer process that will likely become more noticeable throughout July as Neptune retrograde interacts with several other outer planets, including Uranus, Pluto retrograde, and Jupiter. Because this occurs in Cancer, the wisdom may emerge through emotion, family, memory, home, or your own inner knowing rather than logic alone. The Waning Gibbous phase is a period of integration, reflection, and meaning-making. Something has been revealed to us under the Full Moon. Now it is time to begin the process of understanding what it actually means for our lived experience.

This is the part of the lunar cycle when we are digesting what has been seen, felt, or realized.

We often discover what something meant only after the intensity of the Full Moon passes. The Waning Gibbous Moon invites us to stay present with what we have begun to realize.

Monday

This is one of those rare days where the emotional, mental, and energetic field all shift at once. It can feel like life is moving in multiple directions simultaneously: endings, beginnings, and turning points all overlapping in real time. It’s a little Everything Everywhere All at Once (cosmically speaking).

Mercury stations retrograde at 26°15’ Cancer at 1:35 PM ET. You may notice memory becoming louder than forward planning. Conversations, decisions, or emotional narratives that felt “done” may start looping back in for reprocessing. This is not confusion as much as re-entry—something needs to be felt again before it can be understood differently.

Full Moon in Capricorn at 7:56 PM ET brings emotional and structural culmination. This is a moment where reality feels hard to ignore. You may see clearly what has been working through effort, what has become unsustainable, and where you’ve been carrying more than you can continue to hold in the same way.

Jupiter spends its final full day in Cancer. There can be a sense of emotional saturation. A chapter of growth through care, belonging, or attachment is completing. You may notice how much growth and wisdom this year-long transit helped you realize. Since it is happening on the Full Moon in Capricorn, please look back and celebrate how far you have come.

Mars in Gemini applies to square the Lunar Nodes, which can create a sense of mental urgency or fated pressure around choices, conversations, or direction. Thoughts may feel charged, like they are trying to become action before you fully “decide” them.

Mars in Gemini squares the Lunar Nodes at 0°51’ at 12:34 AM ET. This could feel like being mentally pulled in two directions at once. A decision point may not present itself cleanly, but as pressure, restlessness, or a sense that something must shift even if you don’t yet have full clarity on what.

Jupiter enters Leo at 1:51 AM ET. The tone shifts noticeably. After emotional processing and inner turning, there is a return of expression, visibility, and creative outwardness. Mars conjuncts Uranus in Gemini at 3°52’ at 2:05 AM ET. This is highly electrical, fast-moving, and disruptive in the mental space. It can show up as sudden clarity, a break in pattern, unexpected news, or a sharp internal “no more this way.” Because Mercury is retrograde, the mind may feel activated but not linear—insights may arrive in fragments or flashes rather than coherent narrative.

Mars in Gemini sextiles Neptune in Aries at 8:44 PM ET. After the mental electricity of earlier in the day, this aspect softens things into instinct and intuition. Action becomes less about thinking through and more about sensing through. You may notice yourself moving based on a quiet inner yes rather than logic or planning.

Sunday

Mars in Gemini trines Pluto Rx in Aquarius at 4°46’ at 9:07 AM ET. This is an aligned, focused, and powerful transit.

This transit can feel like reclaiming access to your own power without the emotional noise that usually surrounds it. Actions that have felt heavy or psychologically loaded can suddenly feel clean, necessary, or obvious.

Astrology of the Full Moon

This Full Moon at 8°14′ Capricorn opposes the Sun at 8°14′ Cancer.

It arrives within a sky already deep in emotional review, as Mercury will station retrograde in Cancer just hours before the Full Moon.

We are in a process of review.

Memory, narrative, emotional truth, and lived experience are being reprocessed at the exact moment the structures of our external lives become visible.

This creates a moment where inner life and outer life are in direct conversation. Neither can be ignored. Both are asking to be witnessed in reality.

Time, to me, feels strange right now. It may feel as though it is slowing down, while at the same time there is a sense that everything is about to accelerate.

This retrograde is asking us to revisit something before we move forward…and we will move forward soon enough.

The last time Mercury retrograded through Cancer was June–July 2020.

Many of the themes returning now involve home, belonging, memory, and what it means to feel safe within your own life.

If you know your birth chart, look at the house ruled by Cancer. This is where Mercury is inviting review and where something is being remembered, reprocessed, or rewritten before it moves forward again.

Living the Sky

We are now moving through our first lunar cycle as a community, learning how to engage with astrology as a living practice rather than simply information to consume.

Yesterday, I shared our Cancer season teaching. Each solar season lesson is offered asynchronously and explores both the astrology of the sign and the tarot cards connected to it, providing another pathway for understanding and working with the archetypal energies of the season.

Our next live gathering focuses on the Moon itself. We will be taking a deep dive into the Moon in the natal chart and in transit, exploring how it reflects our emotional needs, instincts, rhythms, and lived experience. Members will learn how to work with the phases of the lunar cycle and will have access to guided meditations and tarot spreads for each of the four major lunar cycle phases.

Cancer season arrives at a turning point in the wheel of the solar year. Today we experience the longest day of light in the Northern Hemisphere where I live. From here, the light slowly begins to recede.

Gemini season invited us to explore, question, and connect. Cancer season asks us to feel into what we’ve discovered. If Gemini was a season of exploring the world around us, Cancer is a season of returning to the world within us.

Cancer is cardinal water. It initiates through feeling. This is the sign of belonging, memory, care, emotional safety, and the places we call home.

As the Moon’s domicile, Cancer reminds us that life moves in cycles. We are not meant to be productive, social, or outwardly focused all the time. Like the tides, our lives move through periods of expansion and retreat.

The Cancer-Capricorn Axis

Belonging and Responsibility

Every sign has a polar opposite. Cancer pairs with Capricorn to teach us about the relationship between our inner and outer worlds.

Cancer is concerned with what we need to feel safe. Capricorn is concerned with what we are building and whether the structures of our lives can support us over time.

Cancer tends the roots of our world. Capricorn tends to the mountain climb.

Cancer in the Tarot

She reminds us that wisdom often emerges in stillness before it emerges in action. The High Priestess understands that not everything can be solved through logic.

Some things must be felt and witnessed. They require their own timing to unfold. Cancer season invites us to spend time with this quieter form of knowing. To trust what arises when we become still enough to hear it.

Collectively, we are revisiting old stories while preparing for an entirely new chapter.

As Cancer season draws to a close, a remarkable pattern begins to emerge between Jupiter in Leo, Uranus in Gemini, Neptune in Aries, and Pluto in Aquarius.

French astrologer, André Barbault, referred to this configuration as a Basket.

Some call it a Cradle.

I’ve been thinking about how a cradle holds a baby that is still developing and a basket gathers separate strands together into a larger whole.

This pattern links fire and air signs through flowing trines and sextiles while simultaneously creating the tension of Jupiter opposite Pluto. All of these planets are located around 4 degrees of their signs.

This is a cosmic clue that something new is trying to emerge, but it is up to us to bring it to life.

A Note About Living the Sky

Living the Sky has officially begun.

We opened the first cycle with the New Moon in Gemini yesterday, and now we the practice of actually living the sky throughout the remainder of the cycle together.

Over the coming weeks, we will move into our first planetary teaching together, learning how to understand certain transits as they unfold in real time and how to translate them into potential lived experience. We will observe and reflect.

This Gemini New Moon feels like one of those moments.

New Moons are often associated with manifestation, but manifestation is not simply about wishing for something new. It is about aligning ourselves with the reality we are ready to create.

Sometimes the greatest obstacle to receiving what we desire is not external circumstance. It is the story we continue to tell ourselves about what is possible.

Gemini reminds us that stories matter.

The stories we tell ourselves shape our perceptions.

Our perceptions shape our choices.

Our choices shape our lives.

This New Moon arrives in the final decan of Gemini, associated with the 10 of Swords in the tarot. While this card is often interpreted as an ending, the image itself tells a different story. The sun is rising on the horizon. Something has ended, yes, but a dawn is already breaking.

This lunation feels less concerned with what is leaving and more concerned with what is beginning.

The question is not whether the old chapter is over right now. The question is whether you are ready to turn the page and begin writing, speaking, and ultimately living a new chapter.

On Wednesday evening, I attended a graduation ceremony for the last class I taught at the school where I spent years teaching.

Looking back, I can see this as one possible lived experience of the Venus-Jupiter conjunction in Cancer moving through my 3rd house while the transit Moon traveled through Aries in my 12th.

Memories surfaced everywhere.

The classrooms where I taught. The hallways I walked. The students and colleagues whose lives intersected with mine.

The Moon in my 12th invited reflection and closure. Venus and Jupiter in my 3rd invited me to revisit a familiar place with gratitude and perspective.

I wasn’t returning to my old life.

I was witnessing how much it helped shape the life I have now.

It would have been easy to experience the evening through grief or longing.

Instead, I found myself noticing something different.

I wasn’t standing inside my old life. I was standing in relationship to it.

The person who once taught in those classrooms and the person writing these words today are connected, but they are not the same.

My husband came with me, which made the experience feel even more meaningful. The person who met me just months after I left that life behind and who has witnessed me evolve, was able to witness a chapter of my life that shaped who I am today.

As I sat in the auditorium watching students cross the stage, I realized that graduations are not really about endings. They are threshold moments.

Moments when we acknowledge everything that brought us here while simultaneously turning toward what comes next.

That’s exactly what this Gemini New Moon feels like.

Not an ending.

Not even a beginning from scratch.

A threshold.

A moment of recognizing that one chapter has ended and realizing we have the power to decide how we want to write the next chapter.

Astrology of the Lunation

The New Moon occurs at 24°03′ Gemini on June 14 at 10:54 PM ET.

Unlike other lunations that we have experienced this year, this New Moon makes very few aspects. The Moon forms only a loose separating sextile to Chiron at 29°48′ Aries.

There is something powerful about that to me.

For the last eight years, Chiron has traveled through Aries, teaching collective lessons around identity, courage, self-trust, and self-initiation.

Many of us have been learning how to stop living the stories that were written for us and begin authoring lives that feel more aligned with who we actually are.

Now Chiron stands at the final degree of Aries and will enter Taurus just five days after this New Moon.

The healing journey is never complete, but we are no longer who we were when Chiron’s journey through Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, began.

The New Moon’s aspect to Chiron in Aries suggests that this New Moon arrives carrying wisdom gathered from the healing work of the past several years.

The story has changed because of what you have healed.

The question to consider now is…

Have you allowed yourself to change with it?

When I left the graduation ceremony, a rainbow appeared in the sky and seemed to follow me home. The last classroom I taught in was covered in rainbows.

It felt like a quiet reminder that life moves in cycles.

We return to places we once belonged.

We revisit memories that once defined us.

We encounter former versions of ourselves.

Not to become them again, but to witness how much we have changed. To remember that each version of ourselves carries gifts that continue to shape who we are becoming.

As I mentioned, this lunation takes place in the decan associated with the 10 of Swords. While the imagery often captures attention because of the swords in the figure’s back, the card also contains one of the most overlooked symbols in tarot: a sunrise.

The death of one chapter already happened. A new dawn is breaking.

Under this New Moon, we are invited to consider what becomes possible when we stop defining ourselves by the chapters that have ended and begin orienting ourselves toward the future that is emerging.

Mercury Holds the Key

The ruler of this lunation is Mercury at 18°31′ Cancer.

Mercury in Cancer communicates very differently than Mercury in Gemini.

Gemini gathers information.

Cancer gathers memory and the meaning we can find when we look back.

Mercury in Cancer asks us to listen not only with our minds, but with our hearts.

What feels emotionally true to you right now?

What memories continue to shape your perspective at this time?

What stories have become part of your identity simply because you have repeated them for so long?

Mercury is applying to a sextile with Mars at 20°08′ Taurus.

This is one of the most supportive aspects surrounding the New Moon.

Mercury offers insight while Mars offers action.

Cancer offers emotional wisdom while Taurus offers patience and stability.

Together, they remind us that meaningful manifestation rarely arrives through force.

It arrives through consistent action. Through trusting ourselves enough to start anew.

We must keep in mind that Mercury has entered its pre-retrograde shadow. It will station retrograde in Cancer on June 29. This adds an extra layer of awareness to the intentions you set under this New Moon.

The Lovers is often associated with relationships, but at its heart, it is a card about alignment and choice.

The New Moon occurs just days after Uranus in Gemini challenged the Lunar Nodes in Pisces and Virgo.

This indicates a crossroads.

When we approach a crossroads, we have to use the information we have gathered to make a decision.

It’s a moment when multiple paths exist and we consciously decide which one we will walk.

That feels deeply Gemini.

Gemini understands that there is never only one possibility.

There are always multiple futures available.

Multiple narratives.

Multiple perspectives.
