this can make us irritated, nervous, even angry, will make us feel unsupported emotionally, so best to self-resource, do our inner work (i know—it’s endless!).

... gives us the raw energy to get ‘er done, physically or spiritually. he’s the warrior who can paralyze/vanquish enemies on the battlefield-battlefield or on the battlefield of our mind, as in stopping negative thoughts, wresting control over them.

... vibrates with the frequency of our ego identity. it’s where we explore unexplored areas of life to expand our skill set, expand our sense of self. we might try pickleball (am i the sole holdout?) & discover that we like it, start identifying as a person who plays pickleball. we might sign up for spanish & decide we can live without it, that we’re not going to be a person who speaks spanish.

... is, as i mentioned yesterday, our comfort zone, which is brought to us by stocking up on what we value, creating value in our lives. if you’re not sure what you value, just look around. right now. what does your home look like? what things & people do you surround yourself with? how do you spend your time & money?

my lama always said that we are either in crisis or between crises—isn’t it? taurus is the between, where we get an IV drip of all that’s good & nourishing so that when the you-know-what hits the fan, when the emotional waters get choppy, we have that felt memory to help us ride them out, keep us afloat.

rohiṇī ...

... is, speaking of comfort, moon’s fave place, where moon feels most comfortable, would stay forever if poss, but it’s not. the 27 nakshatras are considered to be moon’s wives & the story goes that once upon a time moon was so enamored of rohiṇī that he stopped paying attention to (i.e., sleeping with) the 26 other ones. the wives created a big uproar in the heavens & moon got a talking to. at which point he got back to the business of sharing his love equally with one & all.

rohiṇī means “the reddish one” or “the growing one” & brings a lesson about not invoking jealousy in others with our passions/creativity—be passionate, do create, but don’t rub it in the faces of others.
