(Proverbs 6:14) “Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.”

One of the local church’s big problems are the church busybodies. You know the type. It’s the person gossiping about others. The person always trying to get into other people’s business so they can talk about them. The woman trying to usurp the man’s authority in the church. The person who keeps interjecting false doctrine into a sermon while the pastor is giving it. The person who hands out literature that seems Christian, but actually gets you away from God’s word.

This type of stuff ends up leading to discord among the church members. This has and can lead to entire churches shutting down.

I believe these people are in every single church. Sometimes they are sowing discord because they are either actively working for Satan or just people who don’t read God’s word and therefore are easily deceived.

Message To Church Goers

I’ve seen these busybodies personally destroy people’s faith. They drive out someone weak in the faith from church with their little comments and actions. I have been tested by these types of people myself and I read the word of God every day. The devil will test anyone and everyone with these people. You need to be armed in order to fight these attacks.

I implore you to not let these people sow discord. Simply move on from them and their comments/actions and keep your eyes squarely focused on Jesus. Forgive and pray for these people. God WILL take care of them one way or another. He’ll either give them an attitude adjustment or move them out.

(Colossians 3:12-13) “Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; {13} Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.”

Message To The Busybodies

Now, if you are one of these busybodies, knock it off. Stop spreading rumors about people. Mind your own business. Stay in your own lane. Trust me, you have more to work on than the person you are gossiping about. Focus on that. God HATES busybodies and there are severe consequences for being one.

(Proverbs 6:15) “Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.”

God lumps busybodies in with murderers, thieves, and evildoers. I’m pretty sure that’s not where you want to stand.

(1 Peter 4:15) “But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.”

Now, if you are reading this, are convicted that you are one of these busybodies, and feel bad about that, then simply go to God and tell him you are sorry and that you want help from him to stop being like that. He’ll forgive you and help you. God’s mercy is never-ending no matter how bad we screw up.

(1 John 1:9) “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

(Psalms 35:27) “Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”

Christians,

I want to talk about the last part of the above verse. Did you know that God literally wants us to be prosperous? He enjoys that as would any father of a child when he sees his child being prosperous. He literally wants to bless us. He wants to give us what he has.

(Luke 12:32) “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

Now this doesn’t mean that God wants to give me a new CyberTruck that I’ve always wanted or give me a billion dollars. No, not at all. Those things would be lusts and God knows that would not be the best thing for me. He doesn’t want things that are bad for me. We shouldn’t ask for that kind of prosperity anyway.

(James 4:2-3) “Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. {3} Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.”

Being prosperous as a Christian is something better than that. It means we are leading people to Christ. It means we are helping people out. It means we are making a difference in people’s lives. It means we are being more Christ-like. That is the ultimate prosperity, and the only way we’ll truly experience joy.

Here is an example from the bible of John experiencing this joy.

(3 John 1:4) “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”

He was immensely joyful just to understand that the people he was ministering to were actually listening to what God says. That is so nice for a preacher and teacher of God’s word to hear.

I can attest to this as well. I get so joyful when I share God’s word with someone and they respond to it. I remember one time I told my mother in law a verse from the bible and a year later she sewed me a wonderful scarf I use to this day because of that bible verse I shared with her one day. I’m sure it brought her joy to know I really enjoyed her gift too.

What a joy it was to realize she had listened to God’s word and responded to it. By the way, this is verse I shared with her along with the rest of Proverbs 31.

(Proverbs 31:19) “She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.”

Further, although she lives in a very far country, the one time she visited our home here in America, she ended up getting baptized at my local church in spite of not even speaking English. That was the best Christmas season I’ve ever had to see her and my wife get baptized that same Christmas season.

The best gift wasn’t when I got a material gift that I really wanted. It was seeing people’s lives being transformed that I was able to be a part of. It’s not even a close comparison. With a material treasure you get happy for a moment and the material treasure goes away very quickly. With a heavenly treasure you get joyful and those heavenly treasures last forever. The heavenly treasures are the ones we should be trying to accumulate.

(Matthew 6:19-21) “¶ Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: {20} But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: {21} For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

Once you get a taste of helping people and giving to people, you’ll have a joy that is much better than getting a billion bucks. It’s a lasting joy to know that you helped set someone up for success or helped save someone’s life.

(Acts 7:54) “¶ When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.”

They were extremely mad. What was Stephen’s response? Did he call them names? Did he argue with them? Did he fight them? No. He looked to Jesus.

(Acts 7:55) “But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,”

Stephen looked to Jesus first because he was full of the Holy Ghost meaning he listened to him. He wasn’t resisting the Holy Ghost as so many of us do when things get tough. He followed the Holy Ghost and looked to Jesus.

What happened when he looked to Jesus? He found him! Imagine that. When you seek Jesus you find him.

(Acts 7:56) “And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.”

This REALLY made the non-believer group mad when Stephen said he saw Jesus on the right hand of God. They tried to murder him.

(Acts 7:57-58) “Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, {58} And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.”

What happens next is amazing and could only be done with the help of the Holy Ghost that was inside Stephen.

(Acts 7:59) “And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”

Even while Stephen was literally being killed and smashed all over with rocks he was still calling out to the Lord Jesus. Do you think this would be your reaction if people were actively killing you?

By the way, I’m not shaming anyone. I’m not saying that would be my reaction either, but I hope that Jesus would give me that strength if that day ever comes.

But the story is not done. What comes next is ever MORE amazing. As Stephen was in the last moments of his life look at what he did.

(Acts 7:60) “And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.”

Dear brother Stephen not only kept looking to Jesus as he was dying, he prayed for the people literally murdering him. He prayed for their well being. How can you even imagine something like this unless you have absolute faith in God?

How Stephen reacted to his dire circumstances is an example of someone being full of the Holy Ghost. It’s something all of us Christians should aspire to every single day. I guarantee you I have work to do on this and almost every single person reading this, if not all.

This is why Christians need to read and hear the word of God every single day to be reminded of faithful stories of Stephen and others because it’s not in our nature to act like how he did in the face of extreme persecution. We should seek to all have as much faith as Stephen did.

The Roman governor of Judea at the time of Jesus’ ministry on earth was Pontius Pilate. Pilate tried to release Jesus when he found no fault in him. It was a custom to release a prisoner during the Passover and he chose Jesus to be the prisoner released. He chose wisely. He chose to release the only sinless person in history.

(Luke 23:15-17) “No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him. {16} I will therefore chastise him, and release him. {17} (For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)”

However, look at the reaction of the crowd after Pilate chose to release Jesus.

(Luke 23:18-19) “And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas: {19} (Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)”

They demanded Pilate release Barabbas, a literal murderer and someone that tried to overthrow the government. Think about this for a minute. They wanted to release someone like Barabbas that would run a high risk of bringing more trouble to themselves instead of the way, the truth, and the life of the world.

(John 14:6) “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

We can see the effects of releasing people like Barabbas in the US right now as we have judge after judge in the US releasing dangerous criminals back into society. They often times commit more murders, rapes, assaults, etc. Just look at the case of Iryna Zarutska in which a man who had been convicted 14 times before of crimes, senselessly killed this poor woman without provocation.

After the crowd demanded Pilate release Barabbas instead of Jesus, Pilate once again tried to release Jesus, and once again the crowd was not having any of that.

(Luke 23:20-21) “Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spake again to them. {21} But they cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him.”

And AGAIN!

(Luke 23:22-23) “And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go. {23} And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.”

Finally, Pilate gave in to the demand of the truth haters.

(Luke 23:24-25) “And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required. {25} And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.”

It's one thing to hate the truth, but it's another thing to hate it so much that they are willing to harm themselves in order to try to kill it. Yet, we see this very thing to this day. Try to tell people about Jesus, and see their reaction. Most people don’t have the time of day to hear about him and some will even get mad at you for it. I’ve had even close family members that absolutely hate my guts because I tried to tell them about Jesus. Lifelong friendships dissolved over night as well when they started hearing me speak the name of Jesus one too many times for their liking. That is how much most people hate the truth. They’ll give up everything to kill it. They are blinded and absolutely getting played by Satan.

(2 Corinthians 4:4) “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

If you are one of these people reading this and you have given up lifelong friendships because your friend told you about Jesus, you should really take a step back and ask yourself why. Your friend was literally just trying to lead you to the only person that can get you into heaven when you die. You gave up a friendship or a family member because someone was trying to make sure you go to heaven. Think about that. By the way, please don’t reject the same information in the next paragraph again that you rejected when your friend tried to tell you. At least read it. It costs you nothing but 20 seconds.

I Am Jesus Christ?

There is a new game that is out called, “I Am Jesus Christ.” You can see the trailer for it in the above clip. I can’t even believe any Christian would think this is OK. Do you even know Jesus? I believe this is an absolutely blasphemous work for the following reasons:

You Aren’t Jesus Christ

First and foremost, YOU AREN’T JESUS CHRIST! Don’t pretend that you are. Not even in a video game. Can we not see how blasphemous this is? Can we not see how this diminishes Jesus’ deity? We don’t even know the half of what Jesus did while he was on earth. He did a lot more than what we’ve read about in the bible.

(John 21:25) “And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.”

There is only ONE Jesus Christ. Let him be him and you be you.

(Isaiah 44:6) “Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.”

God Told You Not To

Secondly, God told you not to make images of anything in heaven in very clear instructions.

(Deuteronomy 5:8) “Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:”

The above verse seems very clear to me. Do not make ANY likeness of ANY thing that is in heaven above. Is Jesus not in heaven right now? I’ll tell you, he is as of this time of writing! He has been there for about 2,000 years. The bible tells us so.

(Acts 1:11) “Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”

You don’t even have to ask why God would say not to make images of anything in heaven. Just trust him. He knows best. However, if you want a reason I offer a possible one in the next paragraph.

A Great Deception

I believe all these images of Jesus in paintings, video games, TV, movies, etc. will be used for a great deception one day. Jesus told us there will be MANY false Christs that will come into the world claiming to be him.

(Mark 13:21-22) “And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: {22} For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.”

Don’t you see how if society thinks Jesus looks and sounds a certain way how the devil could use that against you? There could be someone that says they are the Christ. Guess what he’s going to likely look like? That same image of Jesus we all see everywhere with the long hair.

What You Can Do To Glorify Jesus

Instead of pretending you are Jesus and reducing him to some video game character, you can actually glorify him in healthy ways. Here are some ways you can glorify Jesus(in no particular order):

1. Read his word every day.

2. Go to church and serve your community there.

3. Pray every day.

4. Help people wherever and however you can.

5. Tell others about Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. How he died to pay for your sins, was buried, and resurrect. Tell them if they would simply believe that then they will have eternal life.

What is life and health in the above verse? It’s God’s word.

(Proverbs 4:20-21) “¶ My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. {21} Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.”

That’s right. You are going to have to attend to God’s word and incline your way of life to it if you want better life and health.

Outside of extreme circumstances, there should be no such thing as an obese Christian. Those people aren’t attending and inclining their ways to God’s word.

There should be no such thing as a drunk Christian or a Christian that smokes. Again, you aren’t attending and inclining your ways to God’s word.

There should be no such thing as a Christian who gets a STD as a Christian. That shouldn’t exist.

God’s word asks us explicitly if we know that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit or not.

(1 Corinthians 3:16) “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”

Newsflash. Our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit of God. There are consequences for not treating our bodies like the Holy temples of God that they are.

(1 Corinthians 3:17) “If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”

And we sure do see those consequences of death and destruction with massively increased rates of heart disease, cancer, and STD’s in those that do not attend to God’s word.

I know most of you have never heard of anything like this before from someone preaching, but you need to hear it. It’s for your own good. Frankly, I’m sick of seeing my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ die and get sick because they want to eat garbage or fulfill the lust of their flesh over and over again.

I am also someone that is speaking from experience. I used to not take care of my body and it led me to a heart surgeon’s table. You can bet that I take care of my body now though. It is an absolute gift from God and it houses the Holy Spirit. At the very least I should take care of my body to honor God. What a slap in the face to God by destroying his house because we can’t control our eating, smoking, drinking and other urges. Lets not slap him in the face like that.

Perhaps you don’t know how to lose weight and be healthy. Well, let me tell you a couple of books I read that have worked for me to take off ~100 pounds and keep it off for 5+ years. The first is “How Not to Die.” This is going to show you what foods you should and should not eat, as well as touch on how the food companies and the government have been lying to you about food and health.

The second is called “The China Study.” This books gets more into the science and studies of good health. It also goes more in depth on how the government and special interests have ruined our food supply and hid data about good health from us. Our food supply in the US is a minefield of danger.

Of course, there are other ways to take off weight and keep it off. This is just what I do. It’s easy and not something I have to think about in my day to day life. It also doesn’t require you go kill yourself at the gym. I simply walk a few miles a day. Further, there is 0 health risk from trying it. The worst that is going to happen to you is that you’ll lose weight, your blood pressure will go down, and you’ll be healthier. A true low risk/high reward scenario.

(Proverbs 29:15) “The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.”

One of the biggest problems this country faces is that we’ve had an explosion of children left to themselves. They’ve had no correction growing up. They’ve had no teaching of God’s word to them.

The explosion of single mothers, deadbeat dads, and parents that simply don’t teach their children about God has led to the utter chaos and impolite society we find ourselves in now.

Instead, do your family God’s way. That means one man and one woman get married FOR LIFE.

(Genesis 2:24) “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.”

That means man and woman don’t have sex before marriage or live together. This is called “fornication” and you don’t want to do that.

(1 Corinthians 7:1-2) “Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. {2} Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.”

That means the family goes to church together.

(Hebrews 10:25) “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

That means the family reads the word of God together led by the father. God gave us his word to us so that you can teach it to your children.

(Deuteronomy 29:29) “The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.”

That means the family serves the Lord together. Jesus bought you with his blood and your service to him is the bare minimum he expects. Don’t worry. He’s not going to give you something you can’t do. Just ask him what he wants you to do for him. He’s going to give you the perfect tasks for you and it will differ from person to person.

I never ceased to be amazed at how the Lord conveys to me what he wants me to do. When he really wants me to do something he makes it known to me. He gives me opportunities seemingly out of the blue. It’s up to me to take that opportunity and not reject it.

(Romans 12:1) "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,

I understand that many of you have not done it this way up to this point. That’s OK. I didn’t either for a long time. This article isn’t judgment upon you. The goal is to inform you of what God says and hopefully get you to think about it. God will forgive you for past mistakes and he will restore you if you desire to get on the right path. You can make that decision today and move forward. It won’t always be easy, but God will get you through it, and along the way you will grow and come out better for it.

(Job 23:10) "But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold."

The more we fill our heads with the things of the world, the more we get away from God. The more things of the world we focus on, the more we are at odds with God.

(James 4:4) “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”

Satan has many devices in this world to blind people to various things. He blinds the lost from the gospel. He blinds Christians from carrying out the work the Lord has for them.

(2 Corinthians 4:4) “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

Satan obviously hasn’t blinded Christians to the gospel, but he can blind us to carrying out our work for the Lord. He has MANY devices to do this. Just turn on a TV and you’ll see a lot of them.

For example, I can’t tell you how many self-professing Christians I see use the Lord’s name in vain as a matter of course. I can’t tell you how many Christians I see use profanity as a matter of course. These people have been blinded by Satan because they are filling their heads with things of the world through movies/TV, certain social media accounts, hanging out in places they shouldn’t be, etc. They don’t even realize it. They are literally blind to it. Many of you reading this are likely in this boat. I pray God’s word pierce through that blindness.

The antidote to these devices of the devil is God’s word. His word gives us wisdom to discover the devil’s inventions to blind us.

(Proverbs 8:12) “I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.”

In his word, God tells us how to combat the devices of the devil.

(Philippians 4:8) “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

The answer is simple. Fill our heads with good things. In other words, fill our heads with things of God. Replace Taylor Swift with gospel hymns. Replace watching Hollywood movies with bible reading. Replace going to the bar with going to church. You get the idea. I hope this message was helpful. God bless.

(James 4:7) “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

But first we have to understand how Satan attacks us. If we don’t even know when an attack is happening then how can we rebuff his attack?

Satan will attack you in three ways outlined in the below verses. Notice he uses the love of the world and things in it to deploy his attacks.

(1 John 2:15-16) “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. {16} For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”

Those three ways are:

1. lust of your flesh

2. lust of your eyes.

3. Your pride.

Here is an example when he attacked Jesus with those three ways.

Satan’s first attack on Jesus was to appeal to his flesh. After 40 days and nights of fasting Satan tried to get Jesus by appealing to his hunger. I’m sure Jesus was REALLY hungry after 40 days and nights without eating!

(Matthew 4:2-3) “And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. {3} And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.”

Satan’s second attack appealed to pride. Satan basically told Jesus, “If you’re so great you can just jump off this cliff and not die!”

(Matthew 4:5-6) “Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, {6} And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.”

Satan’s third attack was appealing to the eyes. Satan offered him the world. Boy, that must have looked good being offered the entire world and all the pleasures in it.

(Matthew 4:8-9) “Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; {9} And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.”

Of course, Jesus didn’t succumb to these attacks. He simply used God’s word to rebuff them.

1st attack rebuffed by Jesus with God’s word was from Deuteronomy 8:3:

(Matthew 4:4) “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

(Deuteronomy 8:3) “And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.”

2nd attack rebuffed by Jesus with God’s word was from Deuteronomy 6:16:

(Matthew 4:7) “Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.”

(Deuteronomy 6:16) “¶ Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.”

3rd attack rebuffed by Jesus with God’s word was from Deuteronomy 6:13:

(Matthew 4:10) “Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”

(Deuteronomy 6:13) “Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.”

Satan left him alone after his three attacks were rebuffed simply by using God’s word. Those same words are available to each and everyone of us right now in the King James Bible. I suggest you read them, learn them, and apply them so that you can rebuff Satan’s attacks too. (Proverbs 2:5) “Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.”

Do you think you understand what it means to fear the LORD?

Lets see what the requirements from God are if you want to understand the fear of the LORD as the above verse says. Here are the things you should be doing if you really fear the LORD.

1. Read and memorize verses:

(Proverbs 2:1) “My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;”

2. Read God’s wisdom, accept it as true and right, apply it to your life.

(Proverbs 2:2) “So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;”

3. Be hungry for God’s word.

(Proverbs 2:3) “Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;”

4. Search God’s word as you would a treasure chest of gold, silver and jewels.

(Proverbs 2:4) “If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;”

If you aren’t doing those things, then you don’t fear the LORD. It’s that simple. The good news is that you can make the decision to understand the fear of the LORD today by opening up a King James Bible and start reading it. You can read it here if you don’t have a copy:

By the way, when/if you do start fearing the LORD you will receive the following benefits right from God:

1. You will receive wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.

(Proverbs 2:6) “For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.”

2. God will shield you from attack.

(Proverbs 2:7) “He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.”

3. God will preserve your way.

(Proverbs 2:8) “He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.”

4. You’ll understand righteousness, judgment, equity, and every good path.

(Proverbs 2:9) “Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.”

5. You’ll learn discretion so that you can keep safe from evil people.

(Proverbs 2:11-12) “Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: {12} To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;”

6. You’ll receive wisdom to stay out of bad relationships.

(Proverbs 2:16) “To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;”

I don’t know about you, but that seems like A LOT of benefit for simply just reading God’s word sincerely. Not just any ole benefit. Benefit directly from your creator. Even reading it 10 minutes a day is going to help tremendously. I’m willing to bet that if you read it 10 minutes a day with an open heart you’ll start reading it more because you’ll have more thirst for God’s word.

Merry Christmas, everyone! This is the day, December 25th, in which Christians all around the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. I just wanted to take some time to hopefully glorify Jesus and inform about him. This article is not meant to be an exhaustive study about Jesus, but rather just to highlight some key points. I highly encourage you to read about him in the King James Bible to learn more. So without further adieu here are some facts about Jesus.

Jesus is God

There are a lot of misconceptions about this one, but the bible does in fact state that Jesus is God. It says Jesus made everything and all things consist by him.

(Colossians 1:14-17) “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: {15} Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: {16} For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: {17} And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”

Jesus said he was God:

(John 10:30) “I and my Father are one.”

The people he was speaking to when he said the above statement understood those words as him claiming to be God and that’s why they tried to stone him.

(John 10:31-33) “Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. {32} Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? {33} The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.”

Jesus Entered The Earth as a Human

Now that we have established that Jesus is God, lets move on to when Jesus, God manifest in the flesh, entered the world as a human. Although Jesus had visited the earth many times before as an angel of the LORD, about 2,000 years ago he entered as a human and this is what we celebrate during Christmas. Jesus was born of a woman named Mary in a little manger in Bethlehem.

(Luke 2:4-7) “And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judæa, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) {5} To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. {6} And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. {7} And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.”

That woman, Mary, was a virgin when God chose to her carry Jesus.

(Luke 1:27) “To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.”

(Luke 1:31) “And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.”

By the way, don’t let anyone tell you something like, “Jesus wasn’t born on December 25th!” While that may or may not be true, it doesn’t matter one bit. Christmas is about celebrating the fact that HE WAS BORN!

Jesus Never Sinned

When Jesus lived as a human on earth he never once sinned.

(2 Corinthians 5:21) “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

Imagine that. He never once lied, stole, looked at a woman with lust, thought a foolish thought, etc. He never did any sin. Not sinning is absolutely impossible for any of us to even consider. Only God could do that. By the way, he was tempted with all sin just like us, and still didn’t sin.

(Hebrews 4:15) “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”

Jesus Did Miracles

While Jesus was here, he did a multitude of miracles. Even his enemies acknowledged that.

(John 11:47) “¶ Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.”

He even raised people from the dead.

(John 11:14) “Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.”

(John 11:43) “And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.”

He heals people.

(Luke 8:43-44) “¶ And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, {44} Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.”

By the way, even though Jesus is in heaven right now and not walking the earth, he still performs miracles if you ask in his name. All we have to do is ask him and he’ll perform them if they are within his will.

(John 16:23-24) “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. {24} Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”

(James 5:13-16) “Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. {14} Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: {15} And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. {16} Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

Jesus Offers Salvation To You As A Gift

Most importantly, for you and me, is that Jesus offers salvation to us freely as a gift. That’s right. It’s a gift, which is free. That means you don’t need to do anything to receive it. You just have to accept it.

Jesus came to earth to save the lost. That was his mission.

(Luke 19:10) “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

By the way, if you haven’t received this gift of salvation from Jesus yet, then you are still lost. You are unrighteous and a sinner. Everyone is lost that hasn’t received this gift of salvation. That’s why Jesus came to save us.

(Romans 3:10) “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”

(Romans 3:23) “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

Jesus Loves You So Much He Died For You

Jesus shed his blood to pay for your sins. He loved you so much he died for you. Not because you deserved it, but because he loved you that much.

(Romans 5:8-9) “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. {9} Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”

Jesus had to shed his blood to pay for your sins because that is what God has always required as payment for sin. Before Jesus, people had to slaughter animals and their blood paid for the sin for a short time.

When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, God had to slaughter an animal and use its skin to cover up their nakedness. He had to shed blood to cover their sin. So that became the method by which sinned needed to be covered up.

Jesus Rose Again

After Jesus died to pay for your sins, he resurrected from death three days after burial.

(Matthew 28:6) “He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”

Not only had he resurrected, but there were hundreds of eyewitnesses to his resurrection. HUNDREDS.

(1 Corinthians 15:4-8) “And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: {5} And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: {6} After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. {7} After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. {8} And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.”

Jesus Is The Only Way To Heaven

A lot of people think there is more than one way to get to heaven. This is wrong. The only way to heaven is through Jesus. This is what Jesus says.

(John 14:6) “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Those that don’t believe on Jesus as their Saviour don’t believe in the real God. It’s only through Jesus that you believe in the real God.

(1 John 2:23)”Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.”

Jesus Is In Heaven But Is Coming Back

Jesus is in heaven right now preparing mansions for his children.

(John 14:2-3) “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. {3} And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

One day Jesus will return.

(Acts 1:11) “Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”

Every eye shall see him when he comes back.

(Revelation 1:7) “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.”

Jesus Offers Salvation To All

Finally, Jesus offers EVERYONE salvation. No matter who you are or what you’ve done, the offer of salvation is open to you as long as you still draw breathe and Jesus hasn’t returned yet.

(Titus 2:11) “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,”

Jesus himself said ALL men will be drawn to him after he resurrected.

(John 12:32) “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”

Don’t listen to the devil and think that only certain people can be saved. This offer is available to EVERYONE.

I really like this guy in the video. His co-workers took up a collection to buy him a bicycle so he didn’t have to walk to work. He was so grateful and gave thanks to God for this blessing. He even said a prayer when accepting it. He gave Jesus the glory for it. This bike made his day. He starts thanking his co-workers for giving him his job and training him. Boy, that is good stuff right there. What a great example for us all. Surely this man’s reward in heaven is going to be great.

The other side of the coin is that the vast majority of the people in the comments for posts with this video are turning this blessing into something bad. They say McDonalds owes him something more since he’s worked there for 21 years. They don’t owe him anything other than the agreed upon wage he accepts from them. Here are a couple of examples of people mocking this wonderful blessing from God. Here are some from the self-professing Christians who should know better!

Of course, these aren’t the only similar comments. There are thousands of similar ones. People are so entitled in the West. Even the Christians who should know better. It is getting worse and worse.

Each and everyone of us in the West should be on our knees bowing before God multiple times a day thanking him for the MASSIVE blessings he gives us every single day. If we keep up this entitlement attitude, one day God is going to take everything we take for granted away from us to teach us a lesson about appreciating his blessings.

Even the Apostle Paul was content even though he was repeatedly beaten, stoned, whipped, thrown in dungeons, even killed.

(Philippians 4:11) “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.”

Paul, in his last letter on earth, was filled with joy and thanking God from a prison cell awaiting his painful execution.

(2 Timothy 1:3-4) “I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day; {4} Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;”

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I would be as joyful as Paul was if I were in similar circumstances. I’m not sure I’m there yet in my walk with Jesus to endure such extreme circumstances with such joy.

However, one thing I do know is that I can at least be as grateful as this man in the McDonalds video when a blessing comes my way.

If you are reading this, be extremely grateful that God has let you even see this day. Be grateful that you ate something today. Be grateful God allowed you to walk. Be grateful he’s given us his word and we are free to read it. There are thousands upon thousands of blessings he’s given you that most people in human history have not got. Show some respect.

The above X post was brought to my attention today. It is critical of how Erika Kirk is grieving. It shows Erika Kirk at some event taking a picture with someone and smiling. For those of you who don’t know, Erika Kirk is the widow of Charlie Kirk who was assassinated by a left wing lunatic about 3 months ago. You can read about the event here, if you don’t know about it.

First, there is no step by step guide on how we are supposed to grieve. Everyone does it differently. It’s not anyone’s place to criticize how someone grieves.

Secondly, people that don’t know Jesus can’t really understand how someone can be joyful even after losing a close loved one because those people have nothing to look forward to.

Erika has a ton of things to smile about and I’m glad she knows that. She knows her husband is in heaven. She knows she has great family, friends and others that support her. She knows her children are a blessing to her.

When the Christian grieves it brings them closer to God, and nothing could be better than that. That’s enough to put a smile on your face. The bible says it is better to go into the house of mourning than to the house of feasting.

(Ecclesiastes 7:2-3) “¶ It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart. {3} Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better.”

When the Christian grieves, that Christian seeks God more. They pray more, they read God’s word more, etc. The grief brings them closer to God, and that’s always a good thing. It makes our heart better.

King David showed us an example of this after God took his infant away from him because of his iniquities. He mourned while the baby was on his death bed. He fasted and prayed for the baby’s life.

(2 Samuel 12:15-16) “¶ And Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah’s wife bare unto David, and it was very sick. {16} David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth.”

God took the baby’s life because of the iniquity of David, but notice David’s immediate reaction to the death of the baby.

(2 Samuel 12:19-20) “But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead. {20} Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the LORD, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.”

David’s reaction was so counter to what the servants expected that they had to ask David about why he wasn’t grieving like they expected him to.

(2 Samuel 12:21) “Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.”

This was David’s response:

(2 Samuel 12:22-23) “And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live? {23} But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.”

You see, David knew that his child was in heaven and that he would get to see him again. He also knew there was nothing he could do about it except learn a lesson from it. He also knew he had others he needed to comfort.

(2 Samuel 12:24) “¶ And David comforted Bath–sheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: and the LORD loved him.”

Erika knows all of what David knows. She knows she’ll see her husband again in heaven. She knows that there is nothing she can do about his death. She knows that she has others(her children) that need her comfort now.

I sincerely hope this person who posted this will someday understand what Jesus did for them and receive Jesus so they can be saved. If you are like this person and still don’t know Jesus, I want you to know that you can. Here is how:

How To Get Saved

This is a very important message for you about the importance of teaching your children about God’s word.

(Psalms 78:4) “We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.”

What should we NOT hide from our children in the above verse? God’s word:

(Psalms 78:1-3) “Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth. {2} I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: {3} Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.”

God commands fathers to teach their children his word.

(Psalms 78:5) “For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children:”

And why does God want fathers to teach their children his word?

(Psalms 78:7-8) “That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments: {8} And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God.”

If you don’t teach your children God’s word then they are apt to be stubborn, rebellious, forget about God, and have their heart in the wrong place.

We can see an example of this in the children of Ephraim.

(Psalms 78:9-11) “The children of Ephraim, being armed, and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle. {10} They kept not the covenant of God, and refused to walk in his law; {11} And forgat his works, and his wonders that he had shewed them.”

It wasn’t God’s fault the people turned from him. He did many miraculous works for them. He tried to do everything to get them to follow him. I’m not sure what more he could have done.

(Psalms 78:12) “Marvellous things did he in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan.”

He divided the sea for them to escape Pharaoh.

(Psalms 78:13) “He divided the sea, and caused them to pass through; and he made the waters to stand as an heap.”

He gave them exact instructions on where to step via a cloud in the day and fire by night. What could be easier?!

(Psalms 78:14) “In the daytime also he led them with a cloud, and all the night with a light of fire.”

He gave them water out of rocks.

(Psalms 78:16) “He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers.”

He literally gave them angel’s food and meat to eat.

(Psalms 78:24-25) “And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven. {25} Man did eat angels’ food: he sent them meat to the full.”

He even served up the meat right to their door step!

(Psalms 78:27-28) “He rained flesh also upon them as dust, and feathered fowls like as the sand of the sea: {28} And he let it fall in the midst of their camp, round about their habitations.”

I don’t think God could have made it any easier for them. What was their response to all these blessings God gave them?

(Psalms 78:32) “For all this they sinned still, and believed not for his wondrous works.”

Predictably, when you continually turn your back on God there are severe consequences. The people had much trouble and were slewed.

(Psalms 78:33-34) “Therefore their days did he consume in vanity, and their years in trouble. {34} When he slew them, then they sought him: and they returned and enquired early after God.”

All this happened because fathers wouldn’t teach their children God’s word. It is so unnecessary. All this could have been avoided if the father would simply tell his child what God said. It’s even easier today to do that because we have all kinds of access to God’s word. If you don’t know where to get God’s word you can simply read it here:

However, you want to get access to God’s word, I highly suggest that you do and start teaching it to your children. I know you care about them deeply and teaching them about God is the number one thing you can do for them to set them up for success, not only in this life, but more importantly in the life after death.

At the very least, teach your children that we are all sinners and that sin condemns us to hell for eternity. Then give them the good news that Jesus died to pay for that sin, was buried, and then rose again thereby defeating death, and all they have to do to obtain eternal life with Jesus is to simply believe he died for us.

Consider this story. There was once two sisters, Martha and Mary. Martha welcomed Jesus into her house.

(Luke 10:38) “¶ Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.”

When Jesus came into the house Mary sat down by his feet to listen to God’s word.

(Luke 10:39) “And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word.”

However, Martha decided to bother herself with doing work for Jesus to serve him, and then she whined about Mary not helping with the works.

(Luke 10:40) “But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.”

Look at Jesus’ answer to Martha when she was whining about doing all the work.

(Luke 10:41-42) “And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: {42} But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

Notice that Jesus says that Mary had chosen the “good part” by simply resting at Jesus’ feet and listening to his word. In contrast, Martha was anxious and troubled with no rest because she was trying to do works to gain favor with Jesus.

The thing that Martha missed is that Jesus simply wants us to want him. To listen to him. To believe what he says is true. To have a relationship with him. That is far greater than doing works for him.

Anytime you are reading God’s word it is as if you are Mary resting at Jesus’ feet listening to God’s word. This is what you should focus on and everything else will just fall into place. Take that rest Jesus offers you and get into his word daily. You’ll notice your anxiousness and troubles will melt away because your faith will grow. The more your faith grows, the more you realize that you have nothing to worry about.

(Genesis 12:3) “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”

Still many people, including Christians, still don’t believe God when he says that he will bless those that bless Israel.

Now let me show you an example, from God’s word, of a Gentile nation supporting the Jewish people monetarily and then God blessing them.

There was this centurion(a Roman representing Rome) who had a servant he loved that was sick unto death.

(Luke 7:2) “And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die.”

He went to the elders of the Jewish people and asked them if they would ask Jesus to help him out.

(Luke 7:3) “And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.”

The Jewish elders then went to Jesus and look at what they tell Jesus as the reason Jesus should help this Gentile Roman.

(Luke 7:4-5) “And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this: {5} For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.”

They tell Jesus that he should help them because this Gentile Roman loves Israel and has blessed them monetarily by building a synagogue for them.

Look at Jesus’ response after hearing this:

(Luke 7:6) “Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:”

Notice immediately after Jesus heard that this Gentile Roman loved the nation of Israel and the Jewish people he went to go see the centurion.

Jesus ends up healing this centurion’s servant.

(Luke 7:10) “And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.”

You see, when you bless Israel and the Jewish people, God is faithful to keep his promise he made all the way back in Genesis 12:3 when he said that he will bless those that bless Israel.

Are you going to believe God now? Or are you still going to call him a liar? Those are your two choices. Black and white.

One last point, now some people today may still say something like, “Israel today is a wicked nation that hated God! It’s leaders are wicked!”

Do you not think they were a nation that hated God back then? Israel was so turned away from God that God literally manifested himself in the flesh to die a horrific death to save them from their disobedience.

I hope you take these words that God has written to heart, and realize that those who bless Israel will be blessed. The US has always blessed Israel and it’s no wonder it has been a blessed nation. When/if this nation stops doing that, you can mark it down that it will go down in flames. I hope you think about that deeply and start believing what God says.

(1 Chronicles 29:5) “The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD?”

As David asked, Who is willing to do work for the LORD today?

When David asked this, there were a lot of people that willingly offered their time and treasure for the LORD. Even the leaders of the people.

(1 Chronicles 29:6) “¶ Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king’s work, offered willingly,”

Again, the bible makes it clear the people offered willingly. Notice these people had a perfect heart. When we have a perfect heart, we will WANT to give to the LORD.

(1 Chronicles 29:9) “Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.”

You might ask, “If everything is God’s and it all came from him so what does it matter if we give it right back to him?

That’s a fair question. David himself asked it.

(1 Chronicles 29:14) “But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.”

(1 Chronicles 29:16) “O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own.”

Then David answers his question.

(1 Chronicles 29:17) “I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.”

The answer is that when we willingly give back to the LORD it means that we are walking uprightly with God. It means our heart is in the right place. Our heart is where it’s supposed to be. When we commit our works to the LORD, he is going to establish our thoughts, and if God is establishing our thoughts then that means we are walking how we are supposed to be walking. It reminds me of this Proverb:

(Proverbs 16:3) “Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.”

Also, notice the last part of 1 Chronicles 29:17 when the bible says,

“As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.”

Notice that when we commit our works to the LORD willingly that we will have joy. Imagine that. When we do what God wants us to do we have joy.

David goes on to pray that the people will keep that same willing heart toward God.

(1 Chronicles 29:18) “O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:”

This is very wise to do because, as we read later with Solomon, walking uprightly with the LORD is not always a guarantee. The devil has many deceptions that can turn your heart away from God. Solomon found that out the hard way. It cost his nation and people almost everything.

Closing Thoughts

If we count ourselves Christians, I think we should all ask ourselves whether or not we are walking uprightly with the LORD? Are we committing our works willingly to him? If we aren’t, then how can we be walking with him uprightly? If we are committing our works to him, Are we doing it willingly? If we aren’t, then do we really have a perfect heart toward him?

I think we can all do better, and should really think about how we can have a more perfect heart toward God. We should pray to God that he helps us with that.

(Habakkuk 1:3) “Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.”

No doubt many people of God in the West have thought the same thing Habakkuk thought all those years ago. People of God look all around and we see violence, strife, and contention all around us. It is the norm.

This is quite likely a righteous judgment given to our nations for turning our backs on God. God explained to Habakkuk back then this was the case and I see no reason why he wouldn’t do the same to other nations later.

(Habakkuk 1:6-7) “For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not theirs. {7} They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves.”

Don’t we see exactly this in most of Europe and America now? God has raised up foreign invaders to take over the countries.

(Habakkuk 1:9) “They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.”

Don’t we see illegal alien after illegal alien committing violence against the inhabitants of our nations on a regular basis in disproportion? Worse yet, the nations’ leaders allow it in many cases with often times no penalty or just probation for rape and murder. Make no mistake. This is judgment from God for you turning your back on God as a nation. This is a corrective measure in order to turn you back to God. I praise God for this. He could have just wiped us all off the map instead.

(Habakkuk 1:12) “¶ Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction.”

This includes most self-professing Christians in the nation of America anyway. They say they follow Christ, but in their deeds they do anything but. I’ll give you an example. Go try to say wearing bikinis is wrong to a Christian in America. 9 out of 10 self-professing Christians will get mad at you for that when it’s clear in God’s word that women are to dress modestly.

(1 Timothy 2:9) “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;”

If we want the countries back that we grew up in, then we better humble ourselves real quick and start actually following God. Maybe, just maybe, God will have mercy on us before it’s too late. Often times things won’t get back to how they were for years, decades, or centuries later. So you best get a start on it now. One thing is for sure, if we don’t course correct, things will only get worse. You better start putting God over football, soccer, or anything else if you want things to change.

(2 Peter 3:9) “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

I heard a pastor say that “repentance” means to “feel guilt” in this particular verse above. I couldn’t disagree more. Here’s why.

In the above verse it says “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise.” So we have to ask ourselves, “What is his promise?” I believe his promise that is referred to here is Jesus coming back because of the next verse:

(2 Peter 3:10) “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”

So Jesus is trying to reassure us that, although he’s taking a long time, by our standards, to come back, he’s still coming. He’s waiting for more people to come to “repentance” first. Now if this word meant “to feel guilt” that would mean that God is waiting for more of us to feel guilt before coming back. Does that make any sense?

What makes more sense is if you realize that word “repent” means to “change your mind” about something. The Lord is waiting for more people to change their mind about who Jesus is. He’s waiting for them to get saved, in other words. THAT is his will. That people get saved. That is what he wants. Then he will come back. Here is his will:

(John 6:40) “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

I’ll give you another verse where you should be able to see that “repentance” means to “change your mind.” It’s crystal clear in this verse:

(Romans 11:29) “For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.”

You see that? The gifts and calling of God are without repentance which means he’s not going to change his mind about the gifts and calling he gives you. Would that verse make any sense if “repentance” means “to feel guilt?”

Here is another verse that clearly demonstrates what “repent” means.

(Jonah 3:10) “¶ And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.”

You see that? God repented of the destruction he was going to put on Nineveh. In other words, he changed his mind about destroying them. He was going to destroy them, then he changed his mind and decided not to destroy them based on their response to Jonah’s warnings from God.

Would that make any sense if “repent” meant “to feel guilt?” God didn’t feel guilty that he was about to destroy them. He simply changed his mind about the decision.

By the way, notice also in that verse that “turning from your evil way” is considered a work by God. So if someone tells you that you have to “turn from you sin” in order to be saved, run the other way. They don’t know what they are talking about. They aren’t trusting in Jesus to save them, but rather themselves.

Once you do get saved, don’t you worry, God is going to start working on your heart and you will turn from certain things you are doing. If you do not turn from things he’s putting on your heart then he will chasten you. However, you’ll still be saved. That’s what a Father does to their disobedient child. He chastens them. He doesn’t disown them.

It’s really unfortunate because almost know one knows what the word “repent” means in the bible. Even pastors and other Christians I respect. It’s led to a lot of confusion and works based salvation heresies that say you have to confess all your sins before getting saved which is literally impossible. You don’t even know all the sins you commit. You don’t even know how wicked you are. Especially if you are new to hearing the gospel. Only do you get a small taste of how wicked your heart is when you start reading the bible faithfully, and even then you still don’t have the full picture.

(Jeremiah 17:9) “¶ The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”

(Ecclesiastes 8:11) "Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil."

I know there are many that brazenly celebrate Charlie's murder, but we must not let them distract us. We must remember that all is well with those that fear God, and that the people that do these wicked things are not well.

(Ecclesiastes 8:12-13) "¶ Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him: {13} But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God."

As Christians, we should understand that the anger a lot of us feel is simply a device of the devil to take us from our work for the Lord. We must mourn, forgive, and move on, and get to work or else we are falling right into the devil's trap and he gains an advantage over us.

(2 Corinthians 2:10-11) "To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; {11} Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices."

Be patient. Let God do his work. I can already see his mighty hand on this situation doing great good. MANY people right now have had their eyes opened that there is great evil in the world and their hearts have softened toward the possibility of letting Jesus into their lives. Now those softening hearts need to hear the gospel from us more than ever. They don't need to hear us getting mad at the wicked people. That does no good. Share the gospel more than you ever have. That is the antidote to this evil.

(Romans 8:28) "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
