The show’s second fight was where the action kicked off when Julia Polastri starched Jingnan Xiong with a first round headkick knockout. Hector Santiago starched Lawrence Lui via nasty punches in the second round. Francesco Nuzzi defeated Xiao Long via TKO in exactly 60 seconds. Rei Tsuruya secured a rear naked choke in round one, defeating Kevin Borjas to keep the ball rolling. Andre Lima got a guillotine finish over Namsrai Batbayar in round three to close out the prelims.

The prelims opened with a sensational standing third round standing TKO by Shanelle Dyer over Elise Reed. The ref mercifully stepped in when Reed’s own corner seemed to not understand how much trouble she was in. That was followed by a round one TKO finish by Jackson McVey, who brutalized Wes Schultz with a sick knee to the body.

Marcio Barbosa defeated Ryan Kuse via round one TKO where he needed just two minutes and 47 seconds to get the job done. Chris Padilla submitted Nasrat Haqparast with a gnarly standing arm triangle to score the first submission of the card. Shamil Gaziev absolutely melted Kennedy Nzechukwu in the first round with a straight right that planted Kennedy face down. That was one of the nastiest knockouts I’ve seen in a while. And Jamall Emmers closed out the prelims with a nice first round TKO of Lerryan Douglas.

The main card opened with Anthony Wint securing the second submission of the event, getting the arm triangle towards the end of the first round. Carli Judice kept her win streak going with a sweet body kick TKO of Jeisla Chaves just 99 seconds into the fight. MarQuel Mederos carved up Nathan Jones in round two with elbows and punches, scoring the second standing TKO of the evening.

Reinier de Ridder stopped Roman Dolidze in the first round via ground and pound TKO, but really, it was due to Dolidze’s reverse fight IQ. The main event was a slobberknocker of a fight. There were times when I thought Fluffy Hernandez was done, but he just kept coming forward, at times landing big flurries, taking Robocop down, and just persisting. In the end, Gregory Rodrigues would get his arm raised in victory. He was just too much for the Fluffster.

Donte Johnson scored a quick, first round knockout of Eric McConico, and Eduardo Chapolin fell to a rare twister, courtesy of Charles Johnson in the third round. Edson Barboza fell to Esteban Ribovics in the second round via TKO, and made everyone feel bad when he teared up in his post-fight interview where he officially retired. Dustin Stoltzfus shocked fans and bettors when he stopped Mansur Abdul-Malik via second round rear naked choke.

Jalin Turner would keep the ball rolling when he scored a gnarly first round knockout of Kaue Fernandes. And then there was Mackenzie Dern vs Gillian Robertson. Remember how I said “mostly”? This fight was the antithesis of excitement and action. When you see the most rabid UFC fans complaining the way they were during this fight, you know it was awful.

Ian Machado-Garry survived Islam Makhachev. He managed to escape several precarious moments—he got taken down, he got dropped, and he even managed to take a couple rounds off the champ—but all that said, it was not an exciting fight.
