Hello Me

Back at it again. We have another great page here. The story is unfolding before us. We are starting to get a feel for these strange and interesting people.

The way that Boogeyman deals with conflict is a masterclass in life. Demon has no idea what to make of him. You can see her fighting herself from rejecting him. To reject him would be to reject that part of her who smiles and feels joy.

He is appreciating his Ghouls, and they like it.

The depiction of a God-like being is fun. I would have went a little more biblical with the Angel descriptions, but the rendering engine did not like it at all. Pretty funny stuff.

Boogeyman grew up in the hood, and he never learned how to fight? That says a lot about him. You ask yourself: “How did he survive?”

Hello Epic: Chapter 21

The Demon juts her chin out to me and kisses her teeth.

“No, it’s not.”

“Oh.” I reply.

I look at my Ghouls smiling faces. I like it. I’m not that lonely anymore. Maybe that’s what they’re for, to keep us company at the end of the world. I can feel their love and devotion wafting off of them.

I remember reading in the Bible that God has angels that fly around him praising him. That is what this feels like. It is wonderful, and I can see why he has his angels.

“That sunset, stunning work.”

“Your patience, unmatched.”

“Stars twinkling on cue, cinematic.”

“Rainbow after the storm, flawless.”

It makes you powerful and DaNgErOus…

I look to the Cowboy.

“I guess I need to learn how to fight.”

The Bottom Line:

The first panel was pretty easy to figure out. A talking heads piece.

The second panel was harder to create do to the nose-cavities on the Ghouls. The engine kept giving them black noses, it took some literary Kung-fu, to get the AI to understand! When that happens, you have keep rewording your passage until you get your desired result. If all else fails, paint!

The third panel, a possible depiction of God, heaven, and not so accurate angels. Happened in one render. I love it when that happens.

Fourth and final panel, He is just a young man standing in front of another man asking him to teach him how to fight, so he doesn’t get destroyed, when he faces Monster.

This means we are coming to our face off. In this story, when the hero fights the villain, it is only the beginning of something new, not the end of the story. There is still so much to go! Join me!

Chapter 21

Hello Me

Wooo! Boogieman is learning just what kind of strange creature he is. He may even be weird for a Redeemed. He can do the fantastical things the others can do, but the way he does them are original and unique.

This is the most time he has spent this close to Demon. He hasn’t noticed yet, but he is having an effect on her. She is definitely feeling it! She is seeing things a little different that what she is used to. Isn’t it great when that happens?

We are building up to something here. It seems that our Boogieman is about to enter some kind of journey of self discovery.

I TOUCH MY CHEST

“No, I don’t think there is a limit.”

The Demon and the Cowboy share a glance; hey, they can’t do that; that’s my thing. Am I the guy on the outside now?

“There is usually a limit. You will feel it.” The Demon states.

“No, the world just keeps giving it to me.” I reply.

She tilts her head to the side and stares at me.

“Whatchu mean?” She asks.

I look around and find all the lines of energy.

“You know, the radiation, the sun, whatever is underground, the sky, the clouds, the land feeds me all the time. I’m never weak or tired. Is it not the way for all of us?”

Chapter 21

Hello Me

Imagine, letting your soul, (The human side of you) go to the afterlife to be with your loved ones, or to rest, so you could continue of this crazy journey, we call life. What an amazing concept.

I guess this means that Boogieman, truly, is no longer human. He is 100% Redeemed. (What we call these mutants.)

He is trying to understand what he has become. He is going deeper into what ever Cowboy and Demon are now.

The earth is irradiated, at the end of the world. It has created mutants and The redeemed are just one kind. We have also discovered the Ghouls, a whole other kind of mutants.

For no reason in particular I would like to write the sentence: “Fat Daddy Outfit!”

You need to watch the grabby hands of the Ghouls. You never know when your mango’s are going to be checked for ripeness. For their shortcomings the Ghouls do have outstanding skills like making or finding you resources, like clothes.

This story would make a great video-game. What do you think? Would you play it?

Hello Epic: Chapter 20

THE COWBOY AND THE OTHER’S ARE CAUGHT UP

“What’s he doin?” The Cowboy asks, nudging the Demon.

The Demon stops and looks at me.

“He is trying to figure out if he is allowed to like the same things his other self liked.” She replies.

The Cowboy shakes his head.

“You are still you. What you let go of is a piece of you who you gave permission to rest. You let him die and be with his family so you can accept what you are now. You are still you.”

I nod my head.

I guess I’m satisfied with that. I did wonder about it.

The green is smearing into orange; cock-a-doodle-doo! It’s morning in the wastelands! The haze is kind of thick today. Radiation, heat wave, whatever you want to call it.

Makes me daydream about Hawaiian shirts and cargo shorts; get some sandals… Whole: fat daddy outfit. (Perfect thing to wear when it is hot.)

Seconds later, there are Ghoul hands in places. What the heck are they doing? I can hear the material of my clothes rip right off of my body. When they move away, one puts a white fisherman’s cap on my head.

Did they just find or make me the clothes I was imagining?

The others stop in their tracks, staring at me.

“You make em do that?” The Cowboy asks.

“No, I was thinking about these clothes. I used to wear something similar when it got really hot out.”

“Dey still siphoning light from you. Ain’t you gettin weak?” He asks.

The Bottom Line:

We Have been learning how to make animations lately. It is why I have been so busy. I want to make a series. This way when I come out with the next book I can just add it onto the anthology. What do you think? If I turned this story into a Show, would you want to watch it?

Hello Me

Boogieman is now learning the finer points of having a horde of Ghouls. I promised we would go more into this and we are. We get a closer look at Cowboy’s Ghouls as well. Could you imagine what Demon’s Ghouls would look like?

I am hoping to go more into the Ghouls in book two as well. I have been cultivating ideas for book two for over a year and I have the story nearly figured out in the fun parts of my mind. I have already been writing it in my head, soon it will go to screen.

Boogieman is going through a deep philosofical crisis. Since his big change, He asks: “Am I still me?” We have some fun trying to answer this question, through the entire serries.

Hello Epic: Chapter 21 Hello Me

This means that the Cowboy’s Ghouls look the way they do because he is the way he is. They inherit traits from him.

I’m going to try something. I pick up the pace and jog. The Ghouls waste no time and begin to not only keep up, but they copy my exact stride.

This is great. I am celebrating inside. No one ever wants to run with me. I stop. Is this still my thing, or was it part of the life of the old me who went to the afterlife?

He’s gone now.

The Bottom Line:

Ghoul design can be quite trying when dealing with AI. For some unknown reason, even though it has done it before, it always has trouble making the nose cavity. There have been days where we had to paint them on.

Ghoul clothing is sometimes what they liked to wear when they were alive. For the most part, those close are rags, and they wear what ever they can find. Sometimes their clothes come from the people they ate.

Chapter 21

Hello Me

This is the fun part. We are about o learn a little more about the Ghouls. Where do they come from? What are they? What do they want? Some of these questions and many more are answered in this part of the book. There has been talk about making some collectable Ghouls. That could be fun. We do have a handful of them designed.

We also learn a little more about Boogeyman and Cowboy here. Maybe a little bit about why Boogeyman has a perma-grin. A smile that can’t go away. Imagine living your life and no matter how messed up things get, you just keep smiling through it. It is depressing. Expressing emotion is byproduct of being alive.

We should also know the important factor that Ghouls can will eat people to heal themselves.

We learn that whoever is giving them their energy, time, leadership, they begin to resemble their demeanour and their Likeness.

Hello Epic: Chapter 21

OH, DO THEY shuffle; they scuttle; they make a lot of noise. The ghouls are not a stealthy bunch. In an instant they are gone, and later I find them once again trailing behind me, siphoning more of my endless green light. I seem to create more than they can take.

The Cowboy winces at me, then looks back at them.

“Have you looked at em yet?” He nods.

I turn and look; all my ghouls share my ‘shit eatin grin,’ as the Cowboy calls it.

The road is riddled with holes. There may also be new bones that were not here before. They seem to wander off sporadically; each time they come back a little more fleshed out. They are definitely eating people or animals.

I take a look at them. They are all smiling.

Oh, I get it now. My energy; my smile.

They are inheriting my traits because they are my Ghouls.

The Bottom Line:

Think of the Ghouls as a manifestation of the Redeemed [Green people we are writing about] Ego, force, presence. We have come to learn some important factors in what exactly these mutants can do!

This Journey I have embarked on:

Write 1000 albums, has changed my writing.

I started writing songs when https://substack.com/@kry5tyn introduced me to a little app called SUNO.

I used it to create my Audiobook.

Then a secular thing happened. A particular chapter, sounded a lot like a song.

Where I am at so far:

I am currently writing album 62. It is presently called: A new hope. I say presently because I often change up the names of many things I write when they take on a new meaning for me.

It is important to me that I change with the flow of creativity. Missing an opportunity like that can stifle you or even burn you out. I have to keep it all new and exciting for myself.

For me, writing is a kind of self-discovery. I start by addressing a fear, and then I try to face it head on with the story.

When I write a song:

I usually start with the bridge. Typically: two to three lines I could repeat. It has to be catchy. If it sticks around, then you did it right. Tip: Don’t go to the store. Go-go-go, to the store.

After that, I write the chorus, above it. Here is where we shock or pull our listener in. I paste that above the bridge.

Verse one is arguably the best part. Now we are getting into what you and I are good at, telling a story. How does our story begin?

Second Verse is where we add anything we want. Sometimes, writing a reaction to the first verse is a great tumbler into the third.

Third verse is closing it out. Let’s say our goodbyes. Put something satisfying.

Now, we copy-paste our chorus and bridge between each verse.

I use the following order:

1. Any sound effects or Intro.

2. Chorus

3. Bridge

4. Verse one

5. Chorus

6. Bridge

7. Verse two

8. Chorus

9. Bridge.

10. If your song needs a little more meat, here is a great spot to add a musical interlude.

There are many methods to write a song. This is what works for me. I suggest you experiment and see what works for you. I encourage you to try many methods. You will find your own way, and that is always the best way.

THE STORY

Life is a journey that we are all sharing. What if there is no real difference between us? What if even the people you don’t really like are all part of the same consciousness? What if time, space, existence is something far more simple than anything we can imagine?

This story is simple. It is about people. It is about relationships. I don’t want to go too far into what I think it is about because it can mean something completely different to someone else who is hearing it here.

Chapter 20

Hello Ghouls

Boogeyman, is dealing with all these new feelings. He is feeling strong, and he wants to assert himself. He is tired of being steam rolled. Monster is just another bully, and Boogeyman does not put with bullies at all. We have seen evidence of this in the earlier pages of this story.

He is weighing his options of how he can handle this nonsense. His ghoul army is growing stronger every day, and now he is feeling unstoppable. Since letting his soul go to the afterlife, he has come to notice things a new in this dark world.

He has changes so much, and yet he is still very much the same. Trapped in his head with his thoughts. This time, he is aware of the situation. That is a new skill for him.

Hello Ghouls

Monster is a manipulative bastard. Trying to trick out friends into thinking he is just waiting in the shadows to attack. It looks like Boogeyman is on to him. Monster likes to pretend he is from the hood. Boogeyman actually grew up there.

We are getting pulled deeper into these peoples lives as they navigate this new mass of green muscle in their way. No not the incredible hulk. Monster.

I love how even though Monster is now the bad guy, Cowboy is still concerned for him. It speaks volumes about him as a person.

Boogeyman has no clue what Cowboy is trying to teach him. It is fantastic to watch them all struggle to relate. It is in us all to say: “Hey, I am part of you.”

It’s the smell of bacon. I haven’t touched the stuff in a long time. Toast…. I haven’t eaten bread in a very long time. Eggs. Drip coffee. How? I live alone.

I half-thought about running out there naked to scare the intruder. My chubby naked body would at least embarrass the person who does not belong here. No, the morning grogginess is nearly clear and my PJ’s and robe will do.

Out of my room, slowly padding to the kitchen. I could hear them. I heard them humming. That tune. Dad?

Coming to the opening in the kitchen, I could see him moving from the stove to the Breakfast nook. He was plating by now.

“I thought you said, you get up early?” His voice…

I looked at the clock on the wall.

“It’s 5:30AM,” I say, watching him.

He doesn’t even look at me. “Well come eat, it’s getting cold.”

Without thinking, I approach the table.

“Smells great,” I say, taking my seat.

He sits and joins me with a smile through is barely greying beard.

“Well dig in.” He encourages, watching me with a little smile.

I do. Most of this kind of food, I haven’t eaten in years.

“Where did you get it?” I ask, knowing I don’t bring any of this home.

“I brought it with me,” he states, apparently, enjoying watching me shovel it into my mouth.

“Aren’t you gonna eat?” I ask.

He lowers his head. “I will,” he says, not really wanting to look at me at the moment.

I am studying him and he knows it. I can feel it. What do I say? How did he get in?

I take the time to appreciate the empty plate with crumbs and a smear of yoke. Gulping the coffee, now barely warm from sitting while I forgot about it.

“Dad, how did you get in?” I asked.

“Through the door dummy,” he chuckles.

I tilt my head back in thought. This has never happened before. How much do I want to press this?

My dad looks healthy. He has barely any grey hair. He looks happy. Why does it make me sad? Have I finally gone off the deep end?

I stand up from the table and take my plate to the sink. I am flicking the switches for clean water so I can do the dishes.

“Don’t… Don’t worry about that. I can take care of that later,” He sates, “sit and talk with me.”

I nod my head and return to the table. He grabs my arm. He feels solid enough.

“How are you here?” I ask.

He shakes his head and his smile starts to fade.

“No. No. Tell me about your life. Have you met anyone? You are not getting any younger.”

I let out a breath. What is this? How is any of this happening. I reached for a remote and my father shakes his head.

“No. Let’s just talk. What ever is out there is not important.”

“There is nothing out there.” I state.

He nods his head.

“Exactly.”

“How is this even happening?” I ask.

“Can’t we just spend some time together, and not worry about that?”

He seems frustrated. I guess I won’t press it for now. I haven’t seen my dad in so long. I could cry like a little boy. He always had a way of doing that to me.

“I could see how lonely you were. I’m concerned for you. You should try to find someone,” he says with a nod.

I stare at him. He is serious.

“There is no one.”

“I love you son, and I can’t take any more of you just being alone. There has to be someone.”

There really isn’t. I have looked for a long time. I gave up a few years back to focus on survival. Now it is even worse because, I don’t seem to be aging anymore.

That’s enough. I’m gonna ask.

“Dad, you died when I was twenty. How are you here right now?”

He stands up from the table. Visibly hurt.

“Now, why would you do that? We were having a nice time. Why couldn’t you just leave it alone. I just don’t want you to die alone.” He hurries out of the room.

I could hear the beep of the armoured door. I quickly rose from the table and rushed to see. The door was closing and locking.

“Oh, God.” I prayed.

Quickly moving to the standing locker, I grabbed and dressed in my radiation suit. Punching my code into the lock, pulling open and moving between the heavy door. I shut it closed and wait for the safety light.

The light comes to life and I open the door to outside, moving out of my safe habitat into the brown world. The winds howl. Everything is dead. This is the only still standing structure for miles. All that is left of us is rubble and piles of garbage.

“DAD!” I yell out into the dead earth.

Hello Ghouls

Hey there tribe, are you following along?

Boogeyman.

I hope you have been enjoying everything so far. We are so close to a showdown. You have no idea, are not prepared. I promise that you have never seen anything like it, ever! When I wrote this book, I did it. It escaped out of my imagination like a fugitive. It may have taken three months of writing a chapter every day. Hello Ghouls

Honour the dead, that’s what they say.

Good or bad, it doesn’t matter now. These empty containers once used to house a soul are empty. No spirit. No battery. Lifeless. Useless. Rotting parts, waiting to decay.

Their usefulness, dwindling away with every lost moment. Those spirits that once resided within have vacated and abandoned them. The bags of flesh discarded and left for the burden of others.

Now is time for other things. Some kind words, just like the Cowboy taught him. All of this so their spirits can find peace.

Trying to explain his existence, as if the mere presence of him is blight on their lives.

Another group of people who just do not get him, or how special he might be.

They will be moving on soon….

Some humans are gathering to deal with the dead bodies.

“No, we will deal with that. You have already been through so much.”

I look up to the sky, kiss my fingers, and blow the kiss into the wind. “May they find the peace in death that they couldn’t find in life.”

I look at them and walk closer.

“I am aware of my insane smile. I am sorry. I wish I could stop, but it has been this way for too many years. There is no way I take any pleasure from this. This grin is a permanent face for me, and no matter how sad I am on the inside, it will never change.”

I lower my head, feeling defeated. I really think they don’t believe me. It doesn’t matter now.

“I promise they will be treated with dignity.”

The Cowboy is saying his goodbye to Warrior.

THE STORY

A month and a week ago, I found myself alone. As it happens when the mind becomes quiet, I realized that as I get older, I am learning that more and more, I find myself alone.

I remember how I felt at a younger age. I love that stupid kid, but he frustrates me because of all the very stupid choices he made. I didn’t know how to love people. He made so many mistakes, some of which I still find myself paying for.

Life is not over yet. I still have time. So do you.

Boogeyman stole Monster’s Ghouls! Can you believe that? Wow! What is he going to do with them? Where is this all going.

Every time I see you, you are someone new. I have to protect me. I deserve love too. You can't keep shooting the one's you love. You burn your bridges and then your done. Who will you have to be with you? You shoot everyone because you are a gun. I don't wanna hide from you. I shouldn't have to live that way. Why can't you let it be? Will you let me go? Will I ever see the day? My mind is made up. I'm going to find where I belong. Your time is done, I'm going away! This has all got to stop! You can never admit when you are wrong. You time is done. I'm going away! Can't you ever just be happy for me? Do you have it in you? Will you ever find your way? Who are you to everyone? You can't keep shooting the one's you love. You burn your bridges and then your done. Who will you have to be with you? You shoot everyone because you are a gun.

THE STORY

I remember, it was shortly after I finished the audiobook of the Hello Epic. I had a chapter in there that came out very sing-song, when I was listening to it. I thought to myself, “I can do that.” This was the song I wrote. It seemed to work quite well. I did not exactly know what I was doing at the time. I was just flying by the seat of my pants on pure instinct.

I don’t write music this way anymore. My personal sound has evolved since I wrote this as well. This is the kind of thing that may play in the background of a dream.

Monster, is just that, a monster. Have you ever met one of those rich kids with good genes? Good looking, smart, talented, and they know it too. Monster is one of those. He is the kind of guy that doesn’t know there is a such thing as grocery stores, or food banks. Food is just something that was given to him, by fancy people all his life.

He doesn’t know where the clothes come from. Sometimes he stood there while he was being measured. Had no idea, someone had to pay for that.

Monster is strong, smart, and very dangerous. Born to be a villain, with very little recourse.
