Virgo is the Mutable Earth Sign, symbolized by the Virgin and ruled by Mercury, so Mercury is in a position of power here. Virgo is also the Sign where Mercury is Exalted, increasing Mercury’s power, so for the next sixteen days, think, and I use that word specifically, of this as a time when your mind is supercharged.

Mutable Signs are adaptable, changeable, go-with-the-flow, but with the Earth of Virgo, there is a structure to the flow. When planets transit through Virgo, there is a restructuring that occurs. That restructuring comes with elimination, and through that elimination, a reorganization for the purpose of creating greater efficiency in our daily lives.

The Virgin represents perfection, so Virgo is about perfecting, about making things as good as we truly believe they can be. Virgo also rules the intestines, the part of the body whose function is eliminating whatever is in the body that is no longer serving the body. The mechanism of this transit is written into the anatomy. When you eliminate what no longer serves you, you create more space for what you enjoy.

There has been at least one planet in Leo since June 13th of this year, and there will be at least one planet in Leo through August 23, 2027. That extended stretch is tapping into the heart, into what is fun, into what you actually enjoy. Virgo follows Leo in the sequence of the Zodiac, and the joy is meant to come with you. Virgo is where that joy gets built into a daily practice, and ideally into the work itself. Take the joy and turn it into a job, and you will never work a day in your life.

At its normal pace Mercury moves close to 02° per day, and it forms four major aspects during these sixteen days. All four land in the first seven days. From August 25th through September 1st we get shaken up, hard and fast, so that our attention lands where it actually needs to land. From September 1st through September 10th we get organized around what the shaking revealed.

⸻

It rules what you like and what you don’t like, and that discernment is the foundation of how you relate to everyone in your life. When Venus transits through a Sign, your relational field takes on the quality of that Sign.

For the last twenty-eight days, Venus transited through Virgo, and the assignment was an inventory. Every irritation, everything a lover or a friend or a business partner did that got under your skin, you wrote it down and you did not send it. You stayed compassionate with yourself and with the people the list was about, and you let it grow.

Now Venus transits into Libra, and the list has somewhere to go.

Libra is the Cardinal Air Sign, symbolized by the Scales, ruled by Venus. Balance, harmony, equanimity, fairness. Cardinal initiates. Air communicates. The Sign of the Scales initiates through communication, and Venus rules Libra, which places it in Domicile, operating at full strength in its own Sign.

Libra rules the kidneys, the organ that cleanses the blood. Venus transiting through Libra is where the bad blood between you and the people you are in relationship with gets cleared.

Venus enters Libra on August 6, the same day Mercury exits its Retrograde shadow. The mental cloud lifts on the day the conversation becomes possible.

So you take out the list. Maybe all of it, maybe part of it, depending on what feels right. You say what needs to change in the relationship, what you need, what you want, and what you are willing to give in return. Then you ask the same of them: what they need, what they want, and what they are willing to give in return.

By September 10 you have arrived at a give and take that both of you can live with. The measure is mutual support. You feel supported by the people you are in relationship with, and they feel supported by you.

Venus transits Libra for thirty-five days this time rather than the usual twenty-six, because it is already slowing toward its station in Scorpio on October 3. There is more room in this transit than usual, which allows for a more thorough negotiation.

That station is why Libra gets you twice. Venus transits into Scorpio on September 10, stations Retrograde at 08°29′ on October 3, and returns to Libra on October 25, where it remains through December 4. So the terms you set in August are tested through the intimacy of Scorpio in the fall, reopened in Libra for what needs to be renegotiated, and only then taken into a full transit of Scorpio from December 4 through January 7. Four phases. This is the first, and it sets the terms the other three work with.

⸻

They remain there until March 26, 2028.

The North Node is the karmic pathway of the Soul. It is the frequency you are invited to activate. The South Node is the frequency you are invited to release.

Leo is the King. Aquarius is the kingdom.

Leo is me. Aquarius is we. Leo is the spotlight. Aquarius is comfortable in the crowd. Leo does what the heart desires. Aquarius detaches from the heart’s desires and makes the logical choice that is best for the collective. Leo outshines everyone in the room. Aquarius builds what can only be built together.

For twenty months, the Soul is asked to leave the center and learn to rely on the people standing around it. Technology arrives to make that possible. It always does.

⸻

Aquarius is Fixed Air, symbolized by the Water Bearer, ruled by Saturn and Uranus. Saturn is the God of Wealth and Time, the Planet of Restriction, Responsibility, Hard Work, Achievement, and Authority. Uranus is the Primordial Sky God, the Planet of Revolution, Innovation, Independence, and the Unexpected.

Put those two together and you get the jug.

Everyone went down to the stream to drink and bathe like an animal. Uranus supplied the idea. Saturn supplied the labor that turned the idea into a thing the whole village could carry home. The Water Bearer already knew where the stream was. The jug was for everyone else.

Leo is Fixed Fire, symbolized by the Lion, ruled by the Sun, the Planet of Vitality. Leo is the keeper of the flame. The King at the center of the room, radiating, and every face in the room turned the same direction because that is where the light is.

Both are energies. How you work with them determines the gift and the challenge.

The Nodes have run this axis six times in the last century. Every time, the same two answers arrive together. The collective that carries water home to the village, and the collective that consumes the person standing inside it. One energy. Different relationships to it.

⸻

June 24, 1933 to March 8, 1935.

By the summer of 1934 the SA, the Nazi paramilitary led by Ernst Röhm, had grown to nearly three million men and outnumbered the German Army many times over. In February, Röhm had announced that the SA was Germany’s real armed force and that the army would be reduced to a training corps for it. Hitler needed the army to succeed Hindenburg.

On June 30, 1934, at 10° Aquarius, the Capricorn degree, Hitler flew to Munich, stripped the local SA commanders of their medals, called them traitors, and drove to a spa town called Bad Wiessee where he arrested Röhm in his hotel personally. Over the next two days the SS and the Gestapo murdered more than 150 people without trial. Röhm was shot on July 1. Kurt von Schleicher, a former chancellor, was killed in his home. The Nazis called it Operation Hummingbird.

Five weeks later, on August 2, 1934, at 10° again, Hindenburg died at nine in the morning, aged 86. The Cabinet had passed the law the day before, written to take effect the moment he stopped breathing. President and Chancellor merged. That same day every soldier in the German army swore a new oath, personally to Hitler. On August 19 a referendum approved it with roughly ninety percent, under intimidation and fraud.

Capricorn is Authority. Twice in five weeks, on the same degree, authority was seized and then transferred into one pair of hands. A crowd of three million had carried Hitler to power. He killed it for growing large enough to have a will of its own.

The same window built the New Deal. Radio put one voice into every American living room, and the Federal Communications Commission was created in June 1934 to organize the air itself as a shared national resource. One government wove a net under an entire population. Another government starved its own farmers to feed the state.

Same transit. The village, and the machine that eats the village.

⸻

November 1, 1970 to April 26, 1972.

On November 15, 1971, at 08° Aquarius, the Scorpio degree, Intel ran an advertisement in Electronic News. “Announcing a new era of integrated electronics.” The product was the 4004, the first customer-programmable microprocessor to reach the commercial market. It carried 2,300 transistors, it was the size of a fingernail, and it delivered the computing power of the first electronic computer built in 1946, which had filled a room.

It existed by accident. A Japanese calculator company called Busicom had hired Intel to build twelve chips for a desktop calculator. Ted Hoff decided the design was too cumbersome and built four instead. Busicom owned the rights, disliked the result, and in May 1971 Robert Noyce bought them back for the price of Busicom’s sixty thousand dollar investment. Busicom went bankrupt in 1974. Hoff put it plainly afterward: “We democratized the computer.”

Scorpio rules the colon and the genitals. The two organs that transform whatever passes through them. The two parts of the body exposed only in private.

The chip got into both.

Pornography. The phone you carry into the bathroom. A component designed to run a calculator ended up inside the only two rooms nobody else is invited into, and it did that by vanishing. Nobody ever bought a 4004. It was a part, buried inside other things, invisible in every object it ever inhabited. It was invisible to the company that owned it, which is why the company let it go for sixty thousand dollars.

The same window: the Pentagon Papers in June 1971, one man handing the collective its own truth against the will of the state. The 26th Amendment in July, the electorate widened by eleven million people. Idi Amin seizing Uganda in January. And in Derry, a neighborhood that had governed itself for three years without the crown, twenty-six people shot at a march.

⸻

December 17, 2007 to August 21, 2009.

Lehman Brothers filed on September 15, 2008. Two weeks after the bailout, on October 31, 2008, at 14° Aquarius, the Taurus degree, a nine page paper appeared on a cryptography mailing list under a name nobody has ever identified.

Taurus is money, finance, material value. Taurus is the Bull, the word the markets use when they climb, and there is a bronze Bull standing on Wall Street outside the exchange.

On the Taurus degree, an innovation arrived for trading money and material value. The Water Bearer inventing the jug, while everyone else walked down to the stream to drink and bathe like an animal.

The paper proposed transactions requiring no trusted third party. No bank. No King. Proof standing where a person used to stand. The first block was mined on January 3, 2009.

Then nothing happened. A few dozen cryptographers read it. The tool sat there, the way the chip sat there.

What it grew into is the part worth looking at. The thing built so that nobody would need a bank is now held for you by the largest asset manager on earth. American spot Bitcoin funds hold roughly 1.29 million coins, more than any private holder living or vanished, including the wallets attributed to the author. BlackRock’s fund holds around 800,000 of them, in custody at a company you have to trust.

Same shape as 1934, wearing different clothes. The structure got built. Something reached for the center anyway.

The same window elected a President who ran on the word “we.” And the same networks that let strangers rely on one another were already becoming the instruments through which strangers could be watched.

⸻

December 1914 to March 1916. June 1933 to March 1935. March 1952 to October 1953. November 1970 to April 1972. May 1989 to November 1990. December 2007 to August 2009.

Nearly every time, a connective technology arrives. General Relativity. Radio. Television, the double helix. The microprocessor and email. The Web. The ledger.

And nearly every time, the figure at the center is asked to leave, and something in the room refuses.

The window from 1914 says it plainest. The advanced technology of that transit was the machine gun, poison gas, and industrial logistics. The collective that could have carried the village consumed it instead, and the individual soldier dissolved into a number in a trench. In the same window, Einstein removed the fixed center from the universe.

The transit hands you the tool. The transit does not tell you what to do with it.

⸻

Look at the office.

From 1953 to 1993, two Pluto generations traded the American presidency. Eisenhower, Pluto in Gemini. Kennedy, Cancer. Johnson, Gemini. Nixon, Gemini. Ford, Cancer. Carter, Cancer. Reagan, Gemini. Bush, Cancer. Forty years, and neither generation ever held it alone.

Bill Clinton was born on August 19, 1946, with Pluto in Leo. He took the office in 1993 at the age of 46, on the argument that the men holding it had grown too old. Reagan had walked out at 77. Bush walked out at 68.

Since then: Clinton, Leo. Bush, Leo. Obama, Virgo. Trump, Leo. Biden, Leo. Trump, Leo. Twenty-five of the last thirty-three years, one generation, one interruption, and after the interruption it came back.

Donald Trump was born on June 14, 1946, sixty-six days before Clinton. The man who took the office for being young and the man holding it for being old came out of the same summer.

Reagan and Bush belonged to the generations that knew how to hand it off, and they left younger than the men holding it now. Vladimir Putin, born October 1952, has run Russia for twenty-six years. Xi Jinping, born June 1953, has run China for fourteen. Nancy Pelosi, born March 1940. All Pluto in Leo. Both American parties. Two American adversaries.

The King will not leave the center.

Pluto entered Scorpio on November 5, 1983 and left on November 10, 1995. The generation born under it did not build these tools. The chip was handed to the world in 1971 and the world did almost nothing with it for forty years. Amazon opened in 1994. The stores stayed open. They did not start closing until around 2010. In 2017 retailers announced 8,139 closures. In 2018 they abandoned 155 million square feet. In 2019, 9,302 more.

No inventor closed those stores. The people who stopped walking in closed them. In 2017, the generation born with Pluto in Scorpio was between 22 and 34 years old.

The tool waits. It waited forty years. Nothing happens until a generation decides to live inside it.

⸻

From July 26 to October 9, 2026, the Nodes hold 29°, the Leo degree, and 29° is the anaretic degree, the degree of completion and urgency. The Sign being released, the degree of the Sign being released, and the pressure of the final degree, stacked three deep. Those first ten weeks press hard against the self-absorbed frequencies of the King.

From January 5 to March 21, 2027, the Nodes hold 20°, the Scorpio degree. Detach from the passionate entanglements that keep you from moving in a way that serves the collective.

From June 5 to June 29, 2027, the Nodes hold 12°, the Pisces degree. Bring logic to the unconscious.

From December 12, 2027 to February 28, 2028, the Nodes hold 02°, the Taurus degree. Detach from material desire for the sake of the collective. Again, at the Taurus degree that carried the ledger in 2008.

The identity. Then the intimate bonds. Then the unconscious. Then material comfort. It rules what you like and what you don’t like, and that discernment is the foundation of how you relate to everyone in your life. When Venus transits through a Sign, your relational field takes on the quality of that Sign.

For the last 26 days, Venus transited through Leo, where our hearts were boldly opened within our relationships.

Now Venus transits into Virgo and our work is to do an inventory on what we found in our hearts, and in the hearts of those we are in relationship with.

Virgo is the Mutable Earth Sign, symbolized by the Virgin and ruled by Mercury, the Planet of Communication. Virgo is the bookkeeper. It rules the intestines, the part of the body that takes in what nourishes and eliminates what no longer serves. When the Planet of Relationships enters the Sign of the bookkeeper, your relationships go through the same process. You take an inventory. You notice what nourishes and what no longer serves, and sometimes are quite critical of what you find.

Venus enters Virgo in the middle of Mercury Retrograde. Mercury, the ruler of Virgo, is moving backward through Cancer, and the mind isn’t operating under normal circumstances. The general instruction of Mercury Retrograde is to slow down, and not react to the discomfort of the Planet of the Mind operating at an odd frequency. When a relationship irritates you, the impulse is to immediately say whatever needs to be said to alleviate the discomfort. What you say, during this Retrograde, to end your own discomfort, may bring more of it.

So the instruction here is to instead, write it down. Every irritation, everything a friend or a lover or a business partner does that bothers you, you take out your accounting hat and you record it. You keep the list from July 9 to August 6. You do not send it. You stay compassionate with yourself and with the people the list is about, and you let the inventory grow.

On August 6, Venus crosses into Libra the same day Mercury finally leaves its Retrograde shadow. Libra rules the kidneys, the organ that cleanses the blood, and Venus in Libra is where the bad blood between you and the people you love gets cleared. Then you take out the list. Some of it you will be glad you never said. Some of it you will decide needs saying, and in Libra you can say it with grace, so the conversation brings peace instead of tearing someone down. What the holding protects is the relationship, despite the discomfort aspects of that relationship may be causing you.

⸻

Whatever space Jupiter occupies it expands, and through that expansion we see the nature of our faith, righteousness, abundance, as well as where we are indulgent or extravagant. Jupiter does not separate what you would want enlarged from what you would want to remain hidden. It enlarges all of it at once.

Now Jupiter enters Leo.

Leo is the Fixed Fire Sign, symbolized by the Lion and ruled by the Sun, the Planet of Vitality. Leo rules the heart. For thirteen months, Jupiter stretches the heart open and expands whatever is living inside it. Love. Fear. Probably a bit of both. The open heart exposes through our vulnerabilities the nature of who we are. This is what Jupiter will expand in each of us.

For the previous year, Jupiter has transited through Cancer, where it is Exalted, in a position of power, bringing honesty to your roots: the people who raised you, the past that formed you, the emotional ground beneath your sense of self. Cancer is the shoreline, where the water turns inward. Leo is the Fire that takes what was felt in private and moves it into expression. What the roots have been holding now rises above the surface to be seen in the light of the Sun.

What was maturing at the root, now rises up and pushes beyond what once felt like a limit. The Lion is a beautiful, regal creature, but it can kill very quickly. That same heart, which holds warmth that draws people in, and lights up a room, has the capacity to demand, dominate, and suck the energy out of whatever space it enters.

At the base of what the heart expresses is love or fear. As Jupiter expands our hearts that is what is exposed within us. Through that expression we will be the benevolent or the tyrant, but likely a version of both, depending on what is occurring within the transits and where we are within our self-development. Jupiter in Leo will not allow us to hide from ourselves and the true nature of our hearts.

Courage is the heart expressing what it loves, while fear is still present. That is the point of this Jupiter in Leo transit, to acknowledge our fears and act out of our courage regardless of those fears. Those who ignore their fears risk becoming consumed by them, and from that point we are acting instinctually in a manner that we may soon regret.

⸻

The following afternoon he met with King Victor Emmanuel III, was arrested as he left, and was driven away in an ambulance to avoid detection. Twenty-one years closed in an afternoon.

Jupiter was at 05°, the Leo degree, in Leo.

There was a time when the desire was real. Mussolini had come to power on a genuine conviction, a vision of what Italy could be, and a capacity for the kind of sovereign expression that moves people. The reaching began there. And it kept going. For two decades the desire pushed past what it had been given to carry, the power accumulating past the point of modesty, the extravagance compounding, the gap between the vision and the reality widening until the body of the state could no longer bridge it.

Jupiter entered Leo and reached 05°, the degree where Leo’s energy concentrates into its own pure signal. Whatever the desire had been at its origin, what Jupiter found at 05° was the distance between what the degree required and where twenty-one years of reaching had arrived.

Pluto was at 06° Leo, the Virgo degree. The Virgo degree governs the intestines, the organs that determine what the body absorbs and what it expels. Pluto, the Planet of transformation through dismantling, sat at the precise degree of Mussolini’s natal Sun. His identity, his life force, his claim to sovereign power all lived at 06° Leo. The planet that dismantles sat on top of them, at the degree of the body’s mechanism for rejection.

The state expelled him the way a body expels what it can no longer process.

His natal Moon sat at 09° Gemini, the Sagittarius degree. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter. The Sagittarius degree carries the frequency of truth, honesty, and righteousness. That frequency had been in him at the beginning. Something in him had, at some point, genuinely carried it. Jupiter at the Leo degree arrived to measure the distance between where the Moon’s frequency started and where the reaching had taken it.

Uranus, the Planet of the unexpected, was at 07° Gemini, the Libra degree, the kidneys, the organs of filtration. Uranus moved through the organs of discernment toward his Moon. The unexpected arrived through the body’s filtering system and traveled toward the gap.

Jupiter does not punish. The Gods gave the hammer to Thor because they trusted Thor to carry it honestly. When the reaching goes past what the hammer was given to carry, Jupiter in Leo, the righteous frequency at the degree of Leo’s concentrated sovereignty, arrives to collect what has been spent beyond its means.

On July 25th, 1943, Jupiter arrived to collect.

⸻

Jupiter is the Planet of truth, honesty, and righteousness. In the Old Norse traditions, Jupiter is Thor, and Thor carried the hammer of the Gods because the Gods trusted that he would use it for a righteous cause. The other side of that trust is extravagance, the indulgence of luck that curdles when the appetite it feeds cannot be satisfied. When you bite off more than you can chew, you choke on the very power the Gods granted. Luck must be met with appreciation and modesty, or it becomes the instrument of your own undoing.

Leo is the Fixed Fire Sign ruled by the Sun and symbolized by the Lion. Leo governs joy, laughter, playfulness, and creative expression through the heart. Living from the heart center, expression is bold and fear is not in the equation. The Lion, the King, sits at the top of the food chain without the need to prove it, because the open heart radiates rather than performs its sovereignty. The question Leo always carries is whether the King is benevolent or a tyrant. The benevolent King’s joy lights the room. It creates. It gives. The tyrant’s heart is closed, driven by fear, and a closed Leo heart becomes a black hole: the antithesis of the Sun, drawing the room’s light inward rather than adding to it.

Jupiter in Leo amplifies whatever is in the heart. It does not sort. It does not choose.

What it does is tear the chest open. Whatever is living inside comes out. And in every human heart, what lives there is not simple. The courage and the capacity for devastating overreach occupy the same chest. The desire for something genuine and the extravagance that pushes past every limit live in the same person. Jupiter in Leo expands all of it simultaneously, past what any individual heart was built to contain.

⸻

Twelve years before the transit that expelled Mussolini, Jupiter entered Leo on July 16th, 1931. The Depression had already gutted the global economy. Banks across Germany were collapsing. Unemployment was climbing toward thirty percent. The political center had no gravity left. Into that fracture, the transit sent its amplification in every direction at once.

Franklin Roosevelt ran on the conviction that the scale of the crisis demanded an equal scale of response. He won the presidency in November 1932, Jupiter in Leo’s final weeks. What Jupiter expanded in Roosevelt was the reach itself: the ambition, the willingness to move the machinery of government past what it had ever done before.

In the same window, Adolf Hitler moved into the same fracture. What Jupiter in Leo expanded in him was also a reach: the absolute conviction that he alone understood what was required, the desire amplified past what any person or nation could carry, the extravagance that kept reaching past every limit until the limits gave way.

The 1931-32 transit amplified what was in the room without sorting it. The resolution of what that amplification would produce came twelve years later, under the transit that shares its precise astronomical arc with what is coming.

⸻

Jupiter entered Leo on June 30th, 1943. Mussolini fell on July 25th. The transit then moved into its retrograde, from 27°, the Gemini degree, back toward 17°, the Leo degree itself. The energy turned inward. The Allied commanders gathered. The Tehran Conference of November 1943 brought Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin together for the first time. The retrograde gathered the energy at the Leo degree and waited. The planning moved through the winter.

On June 6th, 1944, the Allied forces landed on the beaches of Normandy. The men on those beaches were afraid. Fear was on every landing craft. The open heart is the heart that has found something it loves more than it fears the cost of protecting it. Fearlessness is not the requirement. What Jupiter in Leo calls for is the presence of something worth more than the fear.

In the same transit, Churchill’s wartime decisions contributed to a famine in Bengal. Between two and three million people died. The same man. The same window. Jupiter in Leo expanding everything in every heart it touched: the capacity for collective sacrifice and the capacity for vast, uncounted harm, from the same leaders, in the same year.

On July 25th, 1944, Jupiter’s final day in Leo, the Allied forces broke out of the Normandy beachhead and raced east toward Paris. The transit opened with a king’s expulsion and closed with liberation in motion and a famine that would not end for another year. Jupiter in Leo held all of it. It always does.

⸻

Not all of Jupiter in Leo’s amplifications arrive through the collapse of kings. The 1966-67 transit produced its own revelations, and they came through sound.

By the spring of 1967, The Beatles had retreated from touring entirely and were pouring the unguarded capacity of four open hearts into a recording studio. Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band was released on June 1st, 1967. The transit had not called them to make a masterpiece. It opened the chest and the contents arranged themselves.

Three weeks later, the Monterey Pop Festival opened in California. An eruption of undefended creative joy: Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Otis Redding, a generation choosing expression as though it were oxygen and they had been holding their breath.

The Vietnam War was simultaneously in peak escalation. 1967 saw some of the highest American casualty rates of the entire conflict. The United States was swinging the hammer in a theater it could not win, biting off more than it could chew, spending luck it had not earned. Jupiter in Leo held both realities in the same window: the open heart flooding the culture with creative expression, and the overreach spending other people’s lives on a war it could not justify.

The Summer of Love is what 1966-67 is remembered for. The war was real. History tends to hold onto what carried something true in it. The reach that went past what it was given eventually exhausts itself.

⸻

The pattern holds at the same frequency across every transit in this record. Jupiter in Leo arrives as amplifier. Whatever the desire was at its origin, whatever the heart was carrying when the transit opened, Jupiter expands it past what any single person or moment could contain.

In 1919-20, women claiming the right to vote were the heart’s desire for recognition and dignity asserting itself through the body politic. The 19th Amendment was ratified in August 1920, Jupiter’s final month in Leo. In 1955-56, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat in December 1955, inside Jupiter’s transit of Leo, and what followed was a community choosing to love the dignity of its own existence more than it feared the cost of protecting it.

Jupiter in Leo guarantees one thing: whatever is in the heart gets bigger. The desire that carried something genuine finds more room. The reach that went past what it was given to carry finds its limit.

The Lion comes back for whoever pushed too far.

⸻

Jupiter enters Leo on June 29th, 2026, and transits through July 25th, 2027. It will retrograde from 27°01’, the Gemini degree, back to 16°59’, the Cancer degree, before stationing direct and completing the arc.

The last time Jupiter traced this precise arc, entering Leo in late June, retrograding from the Gemini degree back to the Cancer degree before exiting Leo on July 25th, was 1943 to 1944.

In the window between then and now, Jupiter has moved through Leo eight more times. The pattern has appeared in each one, in different forms, at different scales. The arc is consistent. What changes is the specific hearts the transit opens and what those hearts are carrying.

The sky shows you a frequency and shows you what that frequency has done to human beings before. This is the second time Jupiter has traced this particular arc through Leo at these particular degrees. The first time, the transit held D-Day and the Bengal Famine in the same year. It held Mussolini’s expulsion and the liberation of Western Europe in motion. It held the full range of what human beings carry, amplified past what any individual could contain.

Jupiter is going to open the chest. What it finds there will not be simple. It never has been. The courage and the capacity for overreach live in the same place.

The question this transit has posed in every window across the last century is the same question it will pose again. Is what you are doing with the hammer what the Gods would trust you to do with it? And when the reaching goes past what you were given to carry, will you recognize the weight before the Lion arrives?

The pattern is information. The transit is the opportunity.

Five Core Questions for the Sun in Cancer

Nurturing the One You Were

Scott Tejerian

The Sun enters Cancer on June 21st and stays through July 22nd. It is a small body moving on a long, irregular orbit between Saturn and Uranus, and what it carries is out of proportion to its size. Chiron marks the wound a person feels they cannot recover from, and in Taurus that wound lands on worth: on what you own, on what you are worth, on your whole relationship to the material realm.

The mythology holds the shape of it. Chiron was a Centaur, half man and half horse, a great warrior and a greater teacher, who trained Achilles and Jason and Hercules. It was Hercules who wounded him, with an arrow dipped in poison. Chiron could not heal, because the poison was eternal, and he could not die, because he was a god. He suffered without end. In that suffering he remembered Prometheus, chained to a rock for giving fire to humanity, and he reasoned that the two of them did not both need to suffer. He offered to take Prometheus’s place. Zeus, moved by his brother’s compassion, eased his suffering by transforming him into the constellation of the Archer.

The symbol carries the same teaching in a single mark: a broken Cross of Matter resting on a Circle of Spirit, a wound to the eternal Soul that feels beyond repair. The same symbol resembles a key. The wound and the key are the same thing. What hurts is what opens.

Taurus is the ground that wound now falls on. Taurus is ruled by Venus, the Goddess of Love and Beauty, and it is the home of the Five Physical Senses, which Taurus uses to measure what is real and what is worth keeping. Through the Second House, the House of Security, Taurus governs money, possessions, food, and the sense of self-worth built on all of it. The Bull knows what it is worth and does not need to prove it. It stands in the open field and asks nothing. Crowd it, push it, try to move it before it has decided, and the same animal becomes immovable.

Chiron through Taurus wounds that knowing. It opens a fracture in the place where a person feels they are worth something: in the bank account, in the inheritance, in the house, in the quiet arithmetic of whether you have enough and whether you are enough. The wound does not heal by being filled. It heals through compassion, received from others and offered to others. When you tell the truth of what you lost and stayed standing through, it shocks the person hearing it, because they were not seeing you for the wound. That recognition gives them permission to believe their own can be survived. Watching them recover completes the recovery in you.

In the realm Taurus rules, that compassion is never abstract. It moves through the material directly: the debt forgiven, the table set for someone who has less, the worth named aloud in another person before they are able to find it in themselves. The Bull can offer this without feeling robbed, because its sense of its own worth was never resting on the ledger to begin with. That is the understanding the wound is reaching toward. As long as worth and wealth are the same thing, every material loss is a wound to the self. When they come apart, a loss can be survived, because something underneath it was never for sale.

There is a question every transit asks underneath the events. Chiron in Taurus asks what you are willing to value more than you fear losing it.

⸻

The pattern shows itself most clearly when a society, and not only a person, is forced to answer that.

1779 – 1786: A Country Deciding What It Is Worth

When Chiron entered Taurus, a new country was deciding what it was worth with almost nothing in its hands. The currency the Continental Congress had printed had collapsed, “not worth a Continental” already in common use, and the soldiers who won the war were paid in paper that bought next to nothing. Some sold those claims at a deep discount to men with the means to wait.

The Treaty of Paris, in September 1783, handed the United States a vast territory it had no money to govern. Land rich and cash poor, with no power yet to tax, in 1785 it began surveying that land into squares to sell, the ground beneath people who already lived on it. It set down that all men were created equal while it held human beings as property. The wound around worth and ownership went into the foundation and was never cleanly healed.

1828 – 1835: What Money Is, and What May Be Owned

Chiron returned to Taurus, and the question became a direct fight over what money is and who may own what. Andrew Jackson cast himself as the common man’s defender against concentrated wealth, and in July 1832 he vetoed the recharter of the Second Bank of the United States, dismantling the institution behind the nation’s money.

The same energy ran in opposite directions at once. The Indian Removal Act he had signed in 1830 treated land as something to be taken, a wound to ownership with no remedy. Across the Atlantic, Britain abolished slavery in 1833 and chose to give up the deepest possession a society had let itself claim, though the compensation went to the slaveholders for their lost property and not to the people who had been held as it.

1876 – 1884: What Work Is Worth, and What Backs a Dollar

When Chiron passed through Taurus, the country was years into the Long Depression, with wages falling and the worth of work in question. In July 1877, after a third wage cut, railroad workers walked off the line, and the strike spread across the country within days. President Hayes sent federal troops, and more than a hundred people were dead before it ended.

The same years asked what money itself should rest on. In 1878, over the President’s veto, Congress forced silver back into the coinage, a revolt against a dollar backed by gold alone. And with the Compromise of 1877 the troops left the South, abandoning the freedpeople to sharecropping and debt, the material foundation of their freedom withdrawn. Worth asserted from below, ownership re-entrenched from above.

1926 – 1934: When Worth Came Apart From Wealth

Chiron entered Taurus in the mid-1920s, and the crash of 1929 came while it was there. The collapse was complete. It severed, for a generation, the belief that what you have is what you are worth. Men who had measured themselves entirely by their earnings stood in bread lines, not knowing who they were without them. The Dust Bowl was the ground itself worked past what it could give, blowing east, a wound to the land no one could undo.

The response split. Banks foreclosed and sold the farms, and some who could afford it bought their neighbors’ land out from under them. Others crowded the auctions, bid a few cents, bought the foreclosed farm back, and handed it to the family that had lost it. In March 1933 Franklin Roosevelt told the country that “the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” From the ruined topsoil came the first real understanding of soil conservation, wisdom only the wound could have taught.

1976 – 1984: The Wound Chosen to Restore the Dollar

The most recent passage is still within living memory. Prices climbed while wages held still, and people watched the worth of a dollar erode in their hands from one week to the next. It was stagflation, a word coined for a thing the textbooks had called impossible.

To restore the dollar’s worth, the Federal Reserve under Paul Volcker raised interest rates toward twenty percent and held them there, accepting the deepest recession since the 1930s as the price. Mortgages passed eighteen percent, home and car sales fell away, and manufacturing towns lost work that never came back. The wound was chosen deliberately, in the belief that the value of money was worth the cost of the jobs. Whether it was is still argued.

⸻

The engine underneath all of it is the same. A wound opens in what a people values, in their money, their land, their sense of what they are worth, and the wound cannot be reversed. What changes from one case to the next is not the wound. It is the response. Fear tightens the grip: it seizes the land, hoards the gold, forecloses on the farm, and looks for someone to blame for the loss. Compassion loosens it: it relinquishes what was never rightly held, shares what remains, and rebuilds on a truer foundation. The wound is the constant. The response is the choice. And the response that heals is the one that values something more than it fears the loss.

2026 – 2034: The Question Returns

Chiron first crosses into Taurus again this summer, from June 19 to September 17, 2026, then withdraws. It returns in April 2027 and stays through 2033, with a final passage closing in 2034.

It returns now into a world already arguing about worth at every scale. What a currency is, when so much of money has become a number moving across a screen. What a home is worth, and who can afford to own one. What an hour of labor is worth, and what we owe each other beyond the wage. The transit will not tell anyone how those arguments resolve. It opens the wound and leaves the response to the people living it. The same fracture runs through private lives: the savings that did not hold, the inheritance that arrived with a cost attached, the work that paid less than it was worth, the quiet suspicion that worth has been measured in the wrong currency for a long time.

None of this is good or bad. It is one energy, and it meets each person where they already stand in relation to it. The question it presses is the one the Bull already knows the answer to and the wounded forget, that worth was never the same as having.

⸻

So the questions arrive on their own. What have you been told you are worth, and who did the telling? What are you holding so tightly that the holding has become the wound? What would you still value if the material fell away, and what would fall away with it? Where is the loss you have decided is unrecoverable, and what might it be the key to?

The wound to worth does not close by being filled back up. It closes when the story of it, told plainly, gives someone else permission to survive their own. The poison becomes the medicine through the telling.

Five Core Questions for Venus in Leo

The Strength to Open the Heart June 13 – July 9, 2026

Scott Tejerian

Venus is Lady Luck, the Goddess of Love and Beauty, the Planet of Relationships and the Five Physical Senses. She rules what you like and what you don’t like, and that discernment is the foundation of how you relate to everyone in your life. When Venus transits through a Sign, your relational field takes on the quality of that Sign.

She just came from Cancer.

For twenty-six days beginning May 18th, Venus moved through the Cardinal Water Sign, nurturing the senses at the shoreline where love was first learned. The work there was kindness toward how you treated yourself in the past. The relationships you once filed under mistakes were lessons in how to value yourself more, and Venus in Cancer was a reclamation of those values through kindness, caring, and nurturing, the foundation Cancer is built on. You leave Cancer with your values reclaimed and a heart ready to love more boldly than it has before.

Now Venus enters Leo.

Leo is the Fixed Fire Sign, symbolized by the Lion, ruled by the Sun. The keeper of the flame, the heart at the center of everything. Venus transiting through Leo brings the relational field into the open and asks one thing of it: open the heart.

There is nothing stronger than an open heart, and it takes strength to open it. Closing the heart is the easier move, and the closed heart has its own gravity. If you spend this transit with the heart shut, the period can feel like a black hole, and you can become the one drawing the energy out of every room, resentful of the love you watch other people express freely. The kindness you gave yourself in Cancer is what makes the other road available. To feel the full force of the joy waiting in Leo, you forgive yourself first.

From there the transit poses a single clarifying question that runs underneath everything, the question of whether your love comes from fear and insecurity or from confidence, courage, and pride in the purest sense. The insecure heart forces itself onto others, clings, and imposes, because the Lion is imposing by nature and love can be made to feel like something pressed onto another person. The secure heart stays open, willing to receive, and recognizes where love is actually wanted before it gives. For the second half of June and the first nine days of July, the instruction is plain. Show the people you love that you love them. This is the season to be a little more extravagant about it.

⸻

It took until he died, when I was thirty-two.

And the fear that conversation planted in me is still here. The fear of losing a home. The fear of not having enough money for food or shelter.

Mercury transits through Cancer, the Cardinal Water Sign symbolized by the Crab and ruled by the Moon, from June 1 to August 9. Over two months. Far longer than the usual two to three weeks, because the Planet of Consciousness has a retrograde to walk through in the Sign of the past.

Seventy days for the conscious mind to sit with what you remember, what you carry, and what you have not yet forgiven. Seventy days of asking whether the voice you use with yourself is a kind one.

Gemini was Mercury’s home. The conscious mind opened to listen. Beneath every value is a deeper question of self-love.

Think back to the last five times Mercury transited Cancer: June 8 to 26, 2025. June 17 to July 2, 2024. June 26 to July 10, 2023. She rules what you like and what you don’t like, and that discernment is the foundation of how you relate to everyone in your life. When Venus transits through a Sign, your relational field takes on the quality of that Sign.

She just came from Gemini.

For twenty-five days beginning April 23rd, Venus moved through the Mutable Air Sign, bringing the values you established in Taurus into circulation through conversation. The Sextile with Chiron at 28° Aries on May 17th opened a door into the original wound.

Now Venus enters Cancer.

Cancer is the Cardinal Water Sign, symbolized by the Crab, ruled by the Moon. The shoreline where the emotional body first met the world. Where roots formed and family lived. Where you learned, before you had any say in the learning, what love was supposed to feel like and what it was supposed to cost. Cancer rules the past as architecture. The templates running beneath your present-day relationships were poured here, in the lineage that came before you, in the home you grew up in, in the first faces that reflected you back to yourself.

Venus transiting through Cancer brings the relational field into contact with its origins. For twenty-six days, the discernment Venus has been refining since Aries turns toward the source. The reflection is structural. The relationships you are in now are reflections of the ones that came first, and Venus moves through Cancer asking which reflections still serve who you are becoming.

On the same day Venus enters Cancer, she meets Mars in Taurus in a Sextile at 00°. Mars at 00° Taurus is the courage to act on what you value. Venus at 00° Cancer is the recognition of where those values originated. The Sextile underwrites the entire transit. Reflection becomes structural change when the courage to act on what you discover follows it. The Bull stands its ground. The Goddess identifies the ground worth standing on.

⸻

The senses have done their work. The values have been articulated. The words now have ground to stand on. Now the Planet of Consciousness, Communication, and Coordination lands in the Mutable Air Sign symbolized by the Twins, the Sign Mercury rules. Mercury is home.

Mercury in Gemini has a reputation. The chatterbox. The clever one. The one who can hang with anyone in any room. That reputation misses the foundation of what Gemini actually is. The reason Mercury in Gemini can talk is because Mercury in Gemini has been listening. There is something to say because there has been something heard.

When I was taking acting classes, every teacher said the same thing. Acting is ninety percent listening. The actor who waits for the other actor to stop talking so the line can be delivered is not present. The line lands hollow because nothing has actually been received. The reaction was prepared in advance, which means the moment between the two actors never happened.

Mercury in Gemini is the same principle, scaled to every conversation in your life. The greatest communicators are the greatest listeners.

Think back to the last five times Mercury transited Gemini: May 25 to June 8, 2025. June 3 to 17, 2024. June 11 to 26, 2023. The floor gives way, the old certainty collapses, and in the silence left behind, the mind is forced, without invitation, to see differently. This is the pattern Uranus leaves everywhere it travels. And for the last seven years, it has been traveling through Taurus.

Uranus is the Planet of Revolution, the force that disrupts what has calcified and accelerates what is ready. Taurus is the Fixed Earth Sign symbolized by the Bull and ruled by Venus, the Goddess of Love and the five physical senses. Taurus rules the ground beneath your feet: your values, your material security, your sense of what you are worth and what the world owes you. When Uranus entered Taurus in 2018, it entered the architecture of your material life and began taking it apart.

You felt it. The floor shifted. Something you counted on became unreliable. The income stream you assumed was permanent dried up, or the relationship that felt like bedrock revealed its fault lines, or the body you thought you understood made demands you were not prepared for. Every Uranus in Gemini transit in recorded history carries the same signature in the years immediately preceding it. The Great Depression before 1942. The Gold Rush before 1858. The economic stranglehold Britain placed on the colonies before 1775. These were not quiet disruptions. They were the floor dropping out from under an entire civilization’s sense of material security. Uranus in Taurus takes what you thought was solid and proves it was never as solid as you believed.

Uranus in Taurus breaks the floor.

Before he became the Planet of Revolution, Uranus was Ouranos, the Primordial Sky God, the first ruler of the cosmos. He fathered children he could not control and buried them in the earth to suppress what he had created. He was castrated by his own son, his power taken by the force he tried to contain. The unthinkable was done to him. The unthinkable was done by him. This is not mythology as metaphor. This is the instruction manual. Uranus does not arrive with warnings. It does not negotiate. It makes the previously unthinkable real, and it does so on a schedule no one is given in advance.

On April 25, 2026, Uranus crosses into Gemini, the Mutable Air Sign symbolized by the Twins and ruled by Mercury, the Messenger of the Gods, the Planet of Consciousness, Communication, and Coordination. Gemini rules the conscious mind, the active waking awareness that processes information, makes connections, and generates the story you tell yourself about what the world is and how it works. When Uranus enters this territory, the revolution moves into the network. How you think, how you speak, how value moves from one mind to another, how ideas become currency and currency becomes information. The conscious mind is extroverted by nature. It transmits.

But great communicators are great listeners first. Gemini receives before it speaks. The revolution of this transit will arrive through what enters your awareness: what you read, what you hear, what you are exposed to that you cannot unsee. The transmission comes after. The mind changes in the receiving.

People born with personal Planets in Gemini are often misread as inconsistent. They change their minds. What goes unrecognized is that they changed their minds because they received new information. This is not weakness. This is the Sign working correctly. Uranus in Gemini will do this to everyone. The information arriving between now and 2033 will make previous positions impossible to hold. The question is not whether your mind will change. It is whether you will let it.

Uranus in Gemini breaks the ceiling.

The way you consciously see the world in 2033 will bear little resemblance to how you see it today. This is not a prediction. It is a pattern that has repeated across every Uranus in Gemini transit in recorded history, and the evidence is precise.

⸻

1775 | The Pamphlet and the Birth of a Nation

In January 1776, Thomas Paine published Common Sense. In a nation of 2.5 million people, an estimated 500,000 read it. Nothing like that saturation has occurred in American political life before or since. The revolution that created the United States was not won on the battlefield first. It was won on the page. The Committees of Correspondence, which the Founders built in the years immediately preceding the war, were the first deliberately engineered information network in American history: a coordinated system for moving political intelligence between colonies that had no other shared infrastructure.

The Declaration of Independence is the most consequential document ever transmitted through a communication network. A nation invented itself in language. The battles had been happening for over a year before July 4, 1776. But a collection of colonies becomes a nation not through military victory, which would not arrive for another seven years, but through the moment it declares itself one. The Declaration preceded the country it was declaring. The word created the world.

Defying a king was unthinkable. It had been unthinkable for so long that an entire civilization had organized itself around the assumption that it could not be done. Then new information entered the conscious mind of enough people fast enough that the assumption collapsed. The Loyalists, roughly one third of the colonial population, received the same pamphlets and held their position anyway. They are the other expression of the same transit: the people for whom the revolution arrived as threat rather than liberation, who clung to the existing framework and found themselves on the wrong side of the new network. The transit did not spare them. It moved through the willing and broke against the resistant with equal force.

⸻

1858 | Two Weeks to Two Minutes

In August 1858, Queen Victoria sent a telegraph message to President Buchanan across the first transatlantic cable. The exchange took hours to transmit. Within weeks, the cable failed. The slogan that eventually captured what the permanent 1866 cable accomplished was “Two weeks to two minutes,” describing the before and after of how long a message had previously taken to cross the Atlantic by ship.

That permanent connection arrived in July 1866, at the close of the Uranus in Gemini window.

Running alongside it: the Civil War. Abraham Lincoln went to the War Department’s telegraph room daily to receive dispatches from his generals in near-real-time. He moved troops, rewrote orders, and made command decisions through the wire, a form of executive power that had never existed before. The war was fought on the ground and managed through information. The side that could coordinate communication faster held an advantage no army of superior numbers could fully overcome.

Brothers killed brothers. Fathers killed sons. Sons killed fathers. Families split along the line of what they were willing to receive and what they refused. The soldier who crossed from one side to the other, the enslaved person who walked toward the Union lines, the slaveholder who watched his world become legally impossible: all of them were processing new information that the old framework had no category for. Freeing enslaved people had been unthinkable. Then it happened. The unthinkable is always Uranus arriving on schedule.

In 1859, Charles Darwin published On the Origin of Species. This was not a revolution in how humans communicated with each other. It was a revolution in what humans understood themselves to be. The conscious story the Western world had told itself for centuries about its own origins broke apart in a single book. The infrastructure of communication and the infrastructure of self-understanding shattered and rebuilt simultaneously, inside the same seven-year window.

⸻

1942 | The War Won in the Dark

At Bletchley Park, a team of mathematicians built Colossus, the world’s first electronic computer, for a single purpose: to break the Nazi Enigma cipher and read German military communications in near-real-time. The intelligence advantage this created is now credited by historians as a decisive factor in the Allied victory. The war was not only fought with bombs. It was fought with information. The side that could read the enemy’s mind won.

ENIAC, the first general-purpose programmable electronic computer, was conceived for military purposes and publicly unveiled in February 1946, presented as a machine expected to revolutionize mathematics and transform industrial design. The birth of the computer age occurred inside the Uranus in Gemini window.

The concentration camps were unthinkable. The atomic bomb was unthinkable. Both became real inside the same transit. This is the full Uranian signature: the unthinkable made real cuts in every direction simultaneously. The same transit that produced the computer produced the gas chamber. The same years that gave the world the United Nations gave the world Hiroshima. Uranus does not sort for good outcomes. It makes the previously impossible possible and leaves humans to decide what to do with that.

Nazi propaganda demonstrated, with terrible precision, what a communication network could do to a population’s conscious perception of reality when it was engineered toward distortion rather than truth. Churchill’s broadcasts steadied a population under bombardment. FDR’s fireside chats moved a nation’s emotional state through a voice coming out of a box. The same technology. The same transit. Two completely opposite applications of the revolution of the mind.

⸻

The Pattern

Every Uranus in Gemini transit makes the unthinkable real. The mechanism is always the same: new information enters the conscious mind faster than the existing framework can process it, and the framework breaks. What replaces it depends entirely on what the people living through the transit are willing to receive.

The people who built these revolutions did not know they were revolutionizing consciousness. They were solving the problem directly in front of them. Thomas Paine was trying to convince a reluctant population. Cyrus Field was trying to make money. The mathematicians at Bletchley Park were trying to save lives. The revolution moved through them. It used their urgency and their willingness to act inside radical uncertainty, and it built something none of them fully foresaw.

The more they clung to the way things had been, the harder the transit broke them. The more they worked with the new reality as it arrived, the more it carried them forward.

⸻

March 6, 2019

I had been watching Uranus approach Taurus for months. The night it crossed the threshold I was at a woman’s house, less than a month into a relationship I already knew would define my life. She was still deciding. A thunderstorm arrived over Los Angeles, the kind that almost never comes to Southern California. Lightning struck close enough to feel. I took it as a signal. Something was about to be revolutionized.

One year later, on March 10, 2020, Covid arrived in Los Angeles. That was my last night working in a restaurant. From that moment forward I was a professional astrologer. She fell in love with me during the lockdown. We married. We have twins. The floor dropped out. What I lost was replaceable. What came after was more solid.

I did not know in 2019 exactly what was coming. I knew a revolution had begun. I paid attention. I worked with the energy as it arrived rather than against the loss of what it was taking. That made all the difference.

⸻

2026

Uranus enters Gemini on April 25, 2026, where it will remain until 2033. Artificial intelligence is doing to human cognition what the telegraph did to distance: collapsing the gap between thought and output. For the first time in history, the communication network is not merely transmitting human thought. It is participating in it. The geopolitical scramble for semiconductor manufacturing, the fracturing of alliances, the wars fought over information infrastructure: these are the opening moves of the same drama that played out in 1776, in 1858, in 1942. Nations are fighting over the physical substrate of the next communication revolution before it has completed itself.

What enters your awareness between now and 2033 will change what you believe is possible. Some of it will be extraordinary. Some of it will be the unthinkable arriving without permission. The mind that stays open to what it is receiving, that allows new information to revise old positions rather than threatening them, will move through this transit differently than the mind that insists on what it already knows.

The revolution does not happen to you.

It happens through you.

The question is, are you available for it?

Five Core Questions for Venus in Gemini

Curious From Solid Ground

Scott Tejerian

April 23 – May 18, 2026

⸻

Venus is Lady Luck, the Goddess of Love and Beauty, the Planet of Relationships and the Five Physical Senses. She rules what you like and what you don’t like, and that discernment is the foundation of how you relate to everyone in your life. When Venus transits through a Sign, your relational field takes on the quality of that Sign.

She just came from Taurus, her own home Sign.

For twenty-four days beginning March 30th, Venus moved through the Fixed Earth Sign, conducting the inventory. The Five Physical Senses evaluated each relationship for whether the exchange was reciprocal. The Bull held the ground. The Conjunction with Uranus at 29° on April 23rd delivered the liberation that radical honesty makes possible. You left Taurus knowing something about your worth that you did not know when you entered.

Now Venus enters Gemini.

Gemini is the Mutable Air Sign, symbolized by the Twins, ruled by Mercury, the Messenger of the Gods, the Guide of Souls to the Underworld, the Planet of Consciousness, Communication, and Coordination. Gemini rules the conscious mind, the active waking awareness that processes information, makes connections, and generates the story you tell yourself about the world. There is a reason Gemini follows Taurus. The senses establish the foundation. The mind takes that foundation out into the world.

When you have a strong foundation of your values, it is from that foundation that you can go out into the world and ask questions and truly listen, because you do not feel threatened by what other people are saying. The reverse condition is also true. When the values are unsettled underneath, every other perspective registers as a challenge, every conversation becomes a defense, and the mind closes around what it already believes for fear of losing it. The closure is the absence of the foundation that would make openness possible.

Venus transiting through Gemini brings the inventory into circulation. The values established in Taurus now meet other minds, other histories, other angles of seeing. Some of what you encounter will confirm the foundation. Some will reveal a perspective you had not previously held in your hand. These conversations can happen with someone you have known for forty years or someone you meet on Tuesday. Either way, the same orientation applies. The foundation can hold a great deal from another perspective without losing its shape, and the conversation reveals exactly how much.

⸻
